Buy Samsung Dryer DVG54R7200W
I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model #dw80f600its in March 2014 with a one year warranty from Samsung and a 2 year extended warranty from hhgregg. Within the first year Samsung had to come out twice, both times there was a water code error. After that, I had to contact hhgregg for another water code error. They have come out twice for the same problem. Each time the service tech had replaced a sensor on the unit along with a tank on the side of the unit. Now, I still have 3 months left on the 2 year extended warranty. Surprise, I have the same error again. This time hhgregg says that they are no longer responsible for this dishwasher, the cost of repairs had exceeded the retail cost of the unit. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung dishwasher and it certainly will NOT be from hhgregg. What is point of an extended warranty if they wont honor it?
After almost 3 years I got the dreaded 5E error message and have not had a functioning microwave since. I hesitate to fix it myself. The Samsung fridge I bought at the same time is dysfunctional as well. What junk!
Purchased a Samsung refrigerator back in June. After 2 failed deliveries with damaged doors, Finally had 3rd fridge delivered on Sept 30th without problems. Called the Samsung company on many occasions regarding the problem. The Samsung company offered me a $150.00 gift card for our troubles. Today called to follow up on the gift card NOTHING!!! They will not honor their promise of the gift card for our troubles. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. The ABSOLUTE WORSE!!! Buyer Beware after purchase they forget about you and anything to do with their product.
We replaced our appliances with Samsungs less than 3 years ago. Soon after, the dishwasher died and it took weeks for the Samsung repairmen to get it fixed. Now the ice maker in our fridge died. Have had minor issues with the stove and microwave.
My experience with this Samsung 3 door fridge has been very disappointing. I have never spent over 2000.00 on a fridge for it to cost more than 1000.00 in repairs only 2 years later. It constantly freezes up, ice cube maker doesnt work, the freezer door handle snapped the middle where doors close broke off. I need a new fridge after 2 years and spending over 3000.00.
I purchased model RF260BEAEBC/AA in June 2105. Now waiting on my 5th service call. Each call requires 1-2 week wait for service. I have had two compressors and expect another. All my food is lost yet again. Samsung tells me they never replace as long as they can continue repairing. I am so frustrated. I cannot afford a new replacement and have now considered getting a good used one on Craigslist. I paid thousands and cannot get a working refrigerator.
I have a Samsung side by side, four drawer refrigerator bought in July 2013 and have had trouble with the ice maker since then. The ice maker freezes up every couple weeks. I use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the mechanism. I have problems with the ice getting clogged up and will not dispense. Another problem is that it does not matter which setting the dispenser is on, crushed or cubed I only get crushed ice. I do love the refrigerator with the fourth drawer temperature adjustment. I keep drinks in the drawer and the grandkids do not have to open the doors. Otherwise the refrigerator is just a refrigerator.
We purchased our Samsung (46 Decibel) Dishwasher from Lowes in 2014. Since then the dishwasher has required 4 repairs. 3 of the repairs were in the first year of ownership!
Our Cool Select Pantry has been leaking over two years. We have had repair men out to fix it and it continues to leak at a fast pace. We have to remove the tray once a week to dry up excess water or it will spill out onto the floor. No one has the answer on how to repair this problem. The model number RF 267AERS a 2010 model. This started after we had it for 4 years. Please tell me what I can do to get this repair. I am not asking for a new refrigerator but someone who can fix this problem.
Bought a side by side Samsung refrigerator three years ago. I have had nothing but problems with having water in the crisper drawer and underneath the drawer. I have had repair man look and thaw it out and it needs a part is what I am told that whirlpool is making. My food freezes one minute then is too warm. My handles on the doors have paint chipping off and you clean it. Looks horrible. Very dissatisfied. I would never buy a Samsung refrigerator again.
We purchased the French Door/Freezer on Bottom from Best Buy. 2 ice makers! Model Number RF28MFEDTSR/ AA. It has the ice maker in frig. area and one in bottom of freezer. 5th day of owning it... filter light came on -- upper ice maker jams every other day -- crushed ice portion has never worked -- its not crushed -ever. And it takes over 2 mins for 4 oz... (yeah youre standing forever for sml amount). Long drawer/fresh veggies or whatever... becomes frozen constantly -- we are weekly taking everything out to get all the water and ice out! Funny thing is we did a consumer report before buying a Frig. This model was new on market and very expensive. Its a piece of junk. Samsung should recall all of these -- its obvious there are hundreds with same problem... Oh yeah -- we also bought washer (front loader) dryer both with all the bells and whistles -- from Best Buy -- (Dryer only goes 40 mins in 1 setting) - its takes almost 2 hrs to dry 10 towels -- (Electric) -- after 3 months... washer doesnt hold as much as its supposed to! Again paid a fortune for all 3... new on market! Honestly wished we had our old Kenmore products back. You couldnt pay me to buy a Samsung product ever again.
First the ice maker froze up and then just quit working and I had to pay over $200 to replace it. Then the shelves on the French door began to break into many pieces... just exploded and dumped everything on the floor. I had to replace two of them. Now less than 1 month later one of the replacement shelves has broken into pieces again. Also, the plastic on the vegetable drawer has now decayed into pieces.
Samsung is the WORST. Dont ever buy one, if you see someone considering samsung tell them dont. Let our voices be heard... Thank you.... Any fridge would be better than samsung.
We bought our appliances from Lowes a little over 2 years ago. Our ref. the ice maker went out after a year and two months, cost too much to replace. Dishwasher wash glass and dishes about half clean. We would not buy anything of Samsung. We are not please at all with what we have. Look good but they are not what they should be.
RF217ACRS - Bought fridge in June 2010. Freezer stopped working in June 2014. It was still under 5-year Sealed Refrigeration System Warranty, so I went through a Samsung referred repair company. Our first visit was on 6/27. After our 10th repair visit on Sept 12, 2014, all of which entailed numerous attempts and were coordinated with Samsung Technical Support via telephone, our fridge was deemed unrepairable. (I have invoices and notes documenting each visit.) After 6 different Samsung repair ticket numbers obtained while working with Samsung Executive Customer Service to get Warranty compensation, I was exhausted. When I called them, I was on hold from 17:8 to 47:12 minutes each time and told something different every time. At one point I was talking to an individual in CA (address was residential via phone # look-up). They broke me down when they told me that our repairman should have gotten a 7000# from the Samsung Tech at the time the system was deemed unrepairable. We went entire summer without a working freezer. We would have dumped the refrigerator earlier had we known warranty was not going to come through. I could go on, but I think readers have the idea and the point(s) I am making about Samsung Refrigerators and their Executive Customer Service.
On March 10, 2012, we purchased a French door black counter depth refrigerator 17.8 cu ft model rf197acbp. About a month ago, we noticed water in the bottom of the fridge - I thought maybe someone spilled something. I cleaned it out with 4 bath towels, and now it’s filling up again. I called Samsung and was treated with “what do you want me to do about it” attitude - you’re two or 3 months past warranty - it’s your problem. I asked him if he heard anything about this problem before and he said, never, I was the first. But I was horrified when looking at this site. Come on. Are there not laws protecting us from 1-year appliances? The last refrigerator was 22 years old, cheap and an Amana. The government should be forcing a class action lawsuit for a product they know is bad and still selling them every day. The worst thing is, they dont seem to have a fix - to me, that is lemon law. The government should step in and force a recall or stop the import!!
Samsung 2.0 cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave Model SMH9207ST - On August 21, 2013, we purchased this Microwave. On Sunday, December 14, 2014, it simply stopped working. After checking to see that the outlet was hot, I attempted to reset the microwave by leaving it unplugged. Plugged it back in with no results, unless you count nothing happening as a result. This microwave replaced an earlier one from Samsung with the dreaded SE error code that wed had for about 2 years. We got another Samsung because our experiences with 4 Samsung televisions, refrigerator and washing machine had all been good. Bad decision. Ill be replacing this one with a Whirlpool. Im fairly certain that quality has probably been compromised over the past 20+ years, but there was a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave in the house when we bought the house and it didnt get replaced for another 18-19 years. I cant remember, but it may have been replaced because of its outdated styling, not because of any problems. Well see how a 2014 generation Whirlpool microwave holds up.
Been having nothing but problems with our Samsung fridge ice maker. Had a repair guy out (hard to find someone who works on Samsung appliances) and he said it’s a known issue and he recommends Whirlpool. He said not to invest too much more in the Samsung fridge for repairs. He “fixed” the issue and 2 weeks later ice worker isn’t working again. Wish we didn’t buy this Samsung fridge and would’ve listened to the bad reviews.
In less than 1 year the so called black stainless finish is peeling off both oven doors of our SAMSUNG ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN NE59J850 where the handles attach. Samsung calls it a cosmetic issue and will not address repair. The finish is tissue thin and simply comes off with a sponge. Last Samsung product in this house as we are also having trouble with two Samsung TVs.
Called Samsung gave information needed. Directions were very unclear! Dialects are different due to accents but ENGLISH IS ENGLISH! Then I was asked to unplug my fridge for one minute. Never asked if this was capable by me. Im disable and so is my Mother! Broken backs, traumatic brain injuries... dont pull fridges out to unplug! This unit is 1 year and 2 months old! I knew we should have bought an LG!
Purchased this range in 2014, bought extended warranty, so the warranty just expired. This is the induction and convection range. We could never use a small pot (6) in front, which was really annoying, service people could not fix it. We could have lived with that but now our broiler element burnt out and they quit making parts, so we are hooped. An expensive range done after 5 years. It will cost us at least another $3000 to get a comparable range.
A piece of the coating on my 8 month old gas stove broke off when lifting a grate. The grate did not even cover that section. The piece was over an inch wide and about 1/4 inch deep. Samsung refuses to replace the top section calling it cosmetic. I am appalled. I bought 4 Samsung appliances at the same time and have had to have 2 service calls on the dishwasher and it still doesnt clean the dishes. Now to have the stove top crack and not be repaired. I would never buy another Samsung piece of equipment.
We purchased a Model DW80J3020US Dishwasher from Lowes December 30, 2015. This dishwasher did not clean the dishes as well as our old Kenmore which was 11 years old. On May 8, 2016 the dishwasher quit working completely (no power on light). I telephoned Samsung support and was advised that a local repair shop would contact us within 24 - 48 hrs. We did not receive any contact and when I called Samsung back on May 11, 2016 they informed me that a company known as Precision Television at 800 603-2433 would set an appointment for repair. I phoned Precision Television and they informed me that they DID NOT SERVICE SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I telephoned Samsung again and was told that Precision Television (aka Precision Services) was the company that was going to service our dishwasher. Another contact to Precision Television proved useless and they again informed me that they had no technician for service calls and did not service Samsung dishwashers! Two more calls to Samsung (the last call was May 13, 2016) resulted in the representative telling me that another repair service, Lehmans Appliance would take care of the service. It has been 5 days since the service order was referred to Lehmans Appliance and they have not called me and have not answered 6 messages that I left. I have to assume that Samsung does not honor their warranty.
Purchased over $5,000 worth of Samsung appliances for my new house - BIG mistake. 2 years in and the ice maker on the refrigerator breaks - $325 to have it fixed. Samsung offered nothing - customer service was horrible. The fan in the oven was the next to go. Again horrible customer service and Samsung offered no help. DO NOT buy Samsung Appliances!!!
About 6 months after purchasing and installing our OTR Samsung microwave, the popcorn setting began to burn up the bags of popcorn so we quit using that setting. Then roughly 8 months later (and after the warranty ran out) our microwave started to turn itself off and give an SE error message. After doing this for three or four times, the front panel just went out and never came back on regardless of our attempts to revive it.I went online and began to research the problem and it is very obvious that this is an inherent problem with Samsung OTR microwaves despite their previous top rating. And most of the reports state that the replacement costs are prohibitive and the replacement parts also malfunction. Now we are stuck with a $350.00 piece of junk and it is not even 1 1/2 years since the purchase! Planned obsolescence? I bought this microwave because it was highly rated and because it matched my other Samsung kitchen appliances. Oh well, I cant get my money back and it doesnt make any sense to repair it - so it goes to the landfill. Ridiculous! I wont buy another one, but I do wish that everyone knew about the issues with these microwaves prior to even considering this brand of microwave oven, especially because this is an ongoing problem and Samsung is well aware of it.
One of the worst appliances I ever bought. Samsung over the range w/ hood model SMH1816S. First microwave in 30 years I ever had to have repaired. And customer support on an issue with it was horrendous, and then non-existent. I recommend anyone considering this unit to finish off their kitchen matched set of other Samsung products forgo aesthetics and get something else. First, as others have stated on other review sites, the control panel is awful. It is hard to read and the buttons are set in such a way (presumable to keep someone from pushing a button unintended with cleaning the panel) that you have to press very hard in exactly the right spot. No feel and go with this unit. The food, in spite of the revolving turntable, does not heat evenly. The stainless steel, for some odd reason, is difficult to clean (exterior). We have had other stainless steel appliances from other companies that cleaned easily. Then, a short time after warranty expired, the unit failed to work. It turns out some of the factory work was not done well on the circuit board and a loose connection caused a short and burned out the primary microwave making unit. The dealer told us it was out of warranty, (barely) so we had it repaired, then one of their repair people said it was a defect, not a warranty issue and I should contact Samsung. Samsung used every excuse in the book, and finally said something along the lines of policy does not allow us to ever pay out of pocket expense, regardless of the cause or situation. End of story, end of Samsung. Later, a salesperson told me they have had numerous complaints about the unit. Samsung TVs are great. We thought the refrig, range, dishwasher, microwave would be good, too. Not happy with the other units, but at least they work. But I will never own another Samsung appliances!
DMT800RHS - Dont purchase this item if you have Granite countertops. They only make top mounting brackets. They do not make side mounting brackets. This leaves the dishwasher unstable which continues to cause other issues.. This seems to me to be a design flaw! After reading some of the other complaints, I also agree that there has always been a horrible smell in this dishwasher as well! Very, very unhappy customer!
We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator and 6 months later the ice maker stopped working. We have placed services calls 3 times and it still doesnt work. I would give a zero rating if there was one. We had a warranty but they terminated our warranty because they couldnt fix it and didnt want to replace it. This is the worst company I have ever purchased from and will never buy any Samsung product again.
Bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2016 and 2 years in it started having water issues under the crisper drawers and the coils kept freezing up every 2 weeks. Got rid of it and bought a new refrigerator and then found out there is a class action suit against it.
I purchased my range 4 yrs ago. I love my Samsung TVs so, I thought the range would be great. No way!!!! I love to cook and consider myself a pretty tasty chef. This range has made good cooking a challenge. The heating units on this range turn bright red even on Low. This poor control means you cannot simmer a pot on low because it will burn!!! How disappointing!! I would never recommend a Samsung range. What a waste of $$. BAMTiverton RI
I bought a Samsung refrigerator and a Samsung washer and dryer a year and eight months ago. I dont recommend anyone to buy anything that has the name Samsung on it. I had the refrigerator about a year and the memory board went out causing the icebox part to freeze and the freezer part to be the icebox. It cost me $500 to replace the memory board. Now eight months later, my washer has stopped working. It is a computer chip that has gone out which Im sure will not be cheap. I wouldnt recommend Samsung to anyone. They couldnt give me another Samsung product for free. I wouldnt bring it in my house. Buyers beware!
Same issue as William. Purchased the RFG298HDRS refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer less than one year ago. Recently, noticed the inside of the freezer and all contents were covered with furry frost. Thought door was left open on accident. Noticed instead that the weatherstripping seal was no longer touching the refrigerator when drawer was closed. Took all contents from freezer. Drawer would still not close all the way. Turns out like William above, 1.5 inches thick-1 inch thick solid sheet of ice covering inside of drawer housing- floor of the freezer housing. Took upper freezer drawer out and was able to remove solid sheet of ice in two pieces from bottom of freezer. Now drawer closes fine. This is really an unfortunate situation. I think the water that leaked before we noticed the problem, has ruined the floor. (The flooring wasnt my choice, it was here when we bought the place. Not ideal for a kitchen but what can you do?) At any rate, drawer now easily opens and closes. I will watch for it to become more difficult as time goes on and will add emptying freezer and chipping off sheets of ice to my growing list of things I have to do to accommodate other peoples stupid design flaws.
It looks good but the inside layout doesnt meet my needs. The shelf that goes up and down is useless, and I find the freezer doesnt hold as much as I thought it would. My old 2 door Whirlpool, in my opinion was better.
Ice maker crushes when it should cube. The fan went out one month after the warranty expired 2 years. I think a refrigerator should last longer than that? Especially after spending $1900.00.
I have a Samsung Range that broke down after only 2 months. I set the self clean for 3 hours. After 2 hours, the touch screen died, and the oven door has been locked ever since. I called Samsung for repair service that evening and was told I would be contacted the following morning for a service call either that afternoon or the following day. Neither happened, so I called Samsung back and got the royal run-around of scripted answers. This time I was told the repair person would contact me within 24 business hours to set up a repair time, and that the repair people are very busy. Well that is because Samsung sells inferior products! I asked for a supervisor, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, no answer, so I finally hung up. I went on the website and entered my reference number, only to find out that I am supposedly scheduled for repair on 11/12. That is 9 days after I called for repair! No one has contacted me to confirm this yet. I emailed the service person to request a sooner day, but I do not expect to hear back from them, nor do I expect them to even show up really. If I could throw this range away I would, but it is so new and I cannot afford to replace it. I will NEVER even consider buying anything Samsung during my lifetime again. They do not care about their products or the consumers who buy them. BEWARE!
1 - Found it was not functional upon installation (2days after shipped from Samsung.com). Cuts off and clock resets. 2 - Were told we’d get a cb 24-48h with repair appt ,,, and no callback. 3 - Was away but called 6 days later because of no cb,,, given ticke t#. 4 - Repair showed up 2 days later and no Eval done because unit wasn’t uninstalled (no one said to uninstall it). Given appt for another week.5 - Repair came out a week later and said product had damaged frame inside unit causing fan to hit some other machinery inside,,, Needed to refund/replace. 6 - Called 24h later and was adv tooo late to refund or replace,,, that WE waited too long to do that. Referred to Warranty services in TX. 7 - Tyrone/warranty dept states Repair’s documentation isn’t clear about who or what damaged the unit….warranty voided. We are the not so proud owners of a brand new broken microwave and I felt compelled to warn others. 494 bucks is 494 bucks and the fact is we paid them for a broken product and they didn’t make it right. That’s completely unethical. Shame on Samsung. Shame.
I was promised a refund for my unrepairable Samsung refrigerator, and they rescinded that offer. Terrible customer service. People were argumentative. Information was withheld from me. One support person even had the gall to tell me that I should have known the refund procedure. Everyone refused to connect me to a manager. And no manager ever called me back. Speaking with a manager may have cleared up the refund procedure. The whole process was taking over a month, and I was without a working refrigerator. I was never told that there were stipulations attached to the refund, namely that I needed to take pictures of the detached serial number and power cord. They told me to keep the unit until the refund was final. When I asked why, their only answer was that the refund was not final. They NEVER said that I would NOT get the refund without the unit, because at the very end they would ask me to provide picture documentation. They told me I had to dispose of the unit myself, which I had Sears haul it away. Now Samsung is saying GOTCHA! even though we withheld the refund requirements, we still rescind the offer.
I spent a fortune on this dud of a refrigerator. If Samsung would spend a little more attention on their refrigerators and not their TVs, this would not be happening. I have had to throw out food all the time. To make matters worse I am a Type 1 Diabetic and all my insulin went bad twice. It cost a fortune to replace. I cant afford to buy a refrigerator and I have to drive 20 min from my home where I have my insulin and food, thankfully to a good friend.
Samsung is 100% the worse product we have purchased in years. We have had a broken dishwasher in our kitchen for over 2 months. The unit broke shortly after purchase and we had to go through warranty. They sent Dish Network repairmen out. 4 times. Each time took a minimum of 5-7 hours. They showed up late, or not at all after scheduling a long window of when they might appear. They never fixed the unit and disappeared after it was establish they would have to replace the unit. We call Samsung and are told someone will call us back. We are also being told they are replacing it with the same unit which seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. Don’t do it!
We bought a three piece kitchen set a year ago. First of all, all three items have issues. This dishwasher is the worst. Error message after error message. Constantly. Now it doesn’t work at all. The water wall is off track. No repairman in our area will touch it. They say parts are ridiculously hard to find and expensive. Our oven is sitting in the dining room, broken as well, unable to use. If I could leave zero stars I would.
I bought a Samsung electric stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher mostly because Samsung had received top ratings from JD Power for six years in a row. Within the first six months, the plastic around the edges of the glass shelves began cracking in several places, most of which were in places which could not have been bumped or struck. When I called customer service, their first response was to blame me. After about 15 minutes of discussion they did send me out one new shelf. Within a year, the plastic on another shelf began cracking. Withing three years, one of the front burners on the electric stove stayed on high when set at any level. When I called customer service, I was told that they would send someone out to inspect it, and replace it if necessary with a cost of $200/hr (with a minimum of 1 hour) since I did not buy the extended warranty, but there would be no charge for the part since it was under a 5-year warranty. I offered to send them the defective part if they would send me a replacement. They refused, saying that I would have to pay the $200/hour service charge to get the part under warranty. I had to pay $47 to get the part, despite the warranty, so I could replace it myself. Within six months, the other front burner had the same defect. I can only guess that Samsung was able to buy the high rating from JD Power because of the problems and extremely poor customer service I experienced with the Samsung products I have purchased.
This 16-month-old Samsung microwave had the dreaded SE error code. I tried unplugging it to recycle and nothing worked. After reading all of the reviews, I knew I was doomed. I called Sears only to find out it was a common problem. And, as the previous complaints say, it will cost more than a brand new one to fix. I also read where it was a known problem with the keyboard circuit and yet Samsung still would not give the consumer a break by recalling it. I then read one entry in Google regarding the problem which said to hold the cancel and reset button down at the same time. I didnt have those buttons, but held down the clear and start buttons at the same time - say 3 seconds, at most. Well, I held on for dear life for about 20 seconds. All of a sudden, the unit started beeping. I let go - and oh, my God, it reset! It seems to be working fine now! This is obviously a scam by someone. Otherwise, why is this fix not mentioned anywhere? It looks like I stumbled across a $300 secret. Hopefully, this helps others. By the way, even if a tech came out and was able to do the same thing, it still would have cost the $75. What a shame.
We spent over $2,600 on a French door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom, and after a few months it was delivered, had frost buildup in the freezer. This is due incidentally to an extremely poor design of the sealing gasket around the door. Called Samsung and they had a technician come out once, then a second time with zero results. So we called Samsung again and... lo and behold a year was up and THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. After that Samsung customer service basically washed their hands of any resolution to fix the problem even though its been an ongoing problem! Once the warranty expired, they basically gave me the robotic Im sorry theres nothing we can do. I pleaded with them but, Im sorry theres nothing we can do. Once again this is because of a DEFECTIVE GASKET SEAL ON ALL SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS. Dont buy this refrigerator - youll be sorry.
I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator for Home Depot September 2014. It was running fine until I noticed paint bubbling on the edge of the door. I contacted Samsung September 2015 - it was several days before the anniversary of the refrigerator delivery date. I advised the door with the ice dispenser paint is bubbling along the edge. I sent photos. Samsung declared it cosmetic damage. I was not satisfied. They said to have a tech come out and inspect. Budget Appliance came out and said, yes the door was defective. They suggested a replacement of the unit as they believed it was not sound. Samsung refused. I contacted Better Business Bureau. After BBB contacted Samsung they agreed to pay for replacement parts and I the cost of labor. Another technician came out on March 1, 2016 and said yes the door needed to be replaced. I received a new door on March 16 and I refused it because it was black. I have spent countless hours trying to resolve this issue and Samsung could have resolved the issue promptly with either a new refrigerator or door. Now according to the parts department it may take up to 8 weeks to get the replacement door in white. It will be May 2016 before this is even close to being taken care of. Samsung expects me to pay almost $300 in labor because of the faulty design. Do not buy Samsung appliances. Their customer service is rude and their service company they use is in Bogota, Columbia. They took over 4 days to track the wrong part that was ordered.
Bought all new appliances Samsung post flood 2011, installed 11/11. Dishwasher brackets break off after 2 years and ruined the pump. And gas slide in convection oven ignitor switch was replaced twice in 7 month period of time. Paid lots of money for these appliances and their junk and I had to replace them. Poor products and Ill advise anyone who will listen not to buy them. I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy for 2 years and mine was finished when this happened. Many consumers do not have money to go out and replace these high end appliances after 4 or 5 years of use.
Defective design. Food lodges in seals and dishes have food particles on them.
Changed out my perfectly working 20yr old dishwasher for New Samsung Stormwash w/ auto-release dry. Big mistake! Purchased from Home Depot. Delivery was a joke as they cancelled a promised Saturday delivery. I had to drive a town away to pick it up myself after waiting a week and then they cancelled appt. Next, 5 months later dishwasher leaked all over my kitchen floor and it hadnt been turned on yet. Customer no service overseas a joke. Said I should have bought a warranty. Told them I didnt have a crystal ball and if Id known it was a cruddy product I wouldnt have purchased it in the first place. Had to pull all my dishes and wash by hand. Waiting to hear from them to fix it. Dont want it but refused to take it back. Damage to floor.
I purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave in May 2011 and installed it in July 2011. The unit failed on September 1, 2012! I barely used it, too. There was no SE error code as Ive been hearing or beeping, just a blank display and no response. I unplugged the unit for about an hour and replugged it - no luck. I left it unplugged for 2 days and then it worked again for about a week and today the unit is again completely unresponsive, even after trying to plug it back in after 2 days of being unplugged. Im in for a class action suit. The company has ripped a lot of people off and should have a complete recall on these units. My biggest beef is that this unit was a pain to install and now Im looking at dismantling and reinstalling another unit. Im not so upset about the loss of $245 I paid for it but rather all of my time and frustration. Im done with Samsung.
Anyone purchasing a refrigerator should not have to worry about plastic bins cracking under little to no stress because of inferior manufacturing. Customer service just wants to sell extended warranty at cost of over $385 which would not even cover the bins. Refrigerator less than 3 years... cheap warranty and looking to make money off hardworking, previously loyal customers... no more... Stay away unless want more maintenance costs with inferior warranty and parts!
Bought the refrigerator (Samsung Model RS2556SH) on 10/15/2004 and, except for the ice maker and the fact that its a bit noisy, it has worked well ever since it was installed. While the ice maker does make ice, there is usually a mixture of crushed and cubed ice and the selection setting doesnt make much difference. Im writing the review because, after reading the reviews posted on this site, I felt I should offer a positive review and let readers know there is at least one person whos had a fairly good experience with a Samsung refrigerator.
The refrigerator seems great until the evaporator began freezing up at about 15 months. The repair person said this is a common failing with Samsung but we had to fight for months to get the problem resolved with Samsung eventually refunding the full purchase price after claiming it was not a warranty item and me having to read their warranty back to them word for word in order to seek resolution.
After purchasing all new matching appliances refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher 2 yrs ago, the Refrigerator stopped making ice after a couple months of owning. Plus its the noisiest refrigerator, ever. Service rep. came in and defrosted it, and it began making ice again. Ice is always soft and water drips inside the lower compartment. Several calls for service rep, with same repair results, defrost. The week the warranty expired, same issue. Called manufacturer. Asked if there was a recall on the refrigerator. They said no. Unbelievable, poor engineering, there should have been. They offered a free repair service, with replacement of ice maker. Well completed job. Ice is a bit more solid, but ice maker still froze up within three months of replacement, sad. I will never buy another Samsung product. Very poor customer service too. Sold all appliances for a loss. Bought all new GE Appliances. Still Made In USA. Better warranty. They look and work great.
SMH9187ST Above Range Microwave - I purchased it new in October 2010. The microwave suddenly quit working in March 2013. No power at all. Nothing on the display will light up. I called Samsung customer service and there is no recall on this microwave at this time. They only offered to find me a Samsung authorized service technician at my cost. Ha! It seems like 2 years is the normal lifespan of this microwave. Dont buy. Its a waste of money.
It absolutely amazes me that SAMSUNG thinks it is okay for a 4 year old microwave to come on anytime the door is opened. Anyone else see a problem that this is dangerous to our children whom did not realize it was not working properly, so they stuck their hand in the microwave to lay the food on the turntable - all the while the microwave was operating - WITH THE DOOR OPEN??? I have a ticket number, a chat ID number and 2 phone calls from ** from their escalation team. Each of these encounters with their support team showed no concerns nor did they think they were responsible or liable for anything, they will NOT fix my microwave. So, for now I am using my 15 year old Sharp microwave in my garage. I replaced the keypad after 2 years because if you boiled anything on the right side of your stove the vent is not adequate enough nor is the keypad waterproofed so the condensation gets in and shorts it out. The repairman informed me Samsung had since figured this out on the next years model and corrected it, but did they repair my keypad? NO! I suppose I shouldve known better than to think they would care that my microwave comes on as soon as anyone opens the door, they were not concerned in the least! Guess my new 60 inch TV will be a Panasonic, that definitely changed my mind.
Samsung is my go to brand for appliances. I didn’t hesitate buying my Samsung gas range and lm happy with its performance but I am not feeling same about the look. Two things disappointed me when it arrived after ordering it online, sight unseen; the bright red lined knobs on the sleek white range and especially large gap between the warmer drawer and the oven door. If they could correct that, I’d be 100% happy with it.
Ice start to build up in the bottom of the panel in the back of the freezer. I had to remove back panel, use hair drier to remove ice and make sure drain was not clogged. Worked fine for about 3 weeks and repeated. Do a lot of research on this problem and called Samsung. Response was that fridge was out of warranty and that any repairs would be at my cost. I insisted of the many reports of problems in the defroster, evaporator, sensors and even faulty tray reported both here and UK and inquired about whether this was an well known problem and if there was some form of solution or repair. Response was that I would be responsible for all repairs and was given closest authorized repair close to 35 miles from home. I tried the forced defrost using control panel buttons, based on technical manual and reports from other people but did not work. Already twice into freezer defrost with hair drier. Fridge also started showing high temperature on panel and blinking, just as had happened to freezer. Assuming some form of dependency between fridge and freezer defrost, I went and defrosted both sides, removing back panels and again made sure drain was not clogged. Today freezer started blinking again. There is a lot of information on the net about issues with this and similar series of this fridge. I cant believe Samsung is and wasnt aware of this defect when also lawsuits exist in the UK for this same issues of defective evaporator, sensors, gaskets, etc.I am done with Samsung. Customer service far from acknowledging problem or offering repair of a known defect simply indicated it is at my cost. I would like to know what is the number of reported cases in this and similar series. I have purchased several Samsung products but this fridge is by far the more costly one. This experience, first on the failure of the product then followed by Samsungs balking and not standing on quality principles and customer satisfaction, made me lose interest in the brand and this will be reflected on all of my future choices, be it computers, wireless, TV, tablets, etc. I am really disappointed and I feel I was sold a defective product, with a known defect and for which the company is not standing up.
Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?
At 13 months, a plastic part in the ice maker broke. We could not buy just the plastic part that senses when the bin is full of ice. We had to purchase the entire icemaker system at the cost of over $200. At five years and seven months, the compressor went out at the cost of $600. We gave our daughter our 30 Whirlpool side by side. It is still alive. BUY AMERICAN. Samsung is totally unsatisfactory.
We were thrilled to finally shop for our appliances for our brand new home! Bought Samsung and though it LOOKS nice, what a crappy piece of a machine it is!!! First off, this started months ago and the appliance is only 14 months old!!! The numbers for the dial started coming off as I cleaned it. Then, a month ago, the time showing on the clock stopped showing, instead, an SE started flashing. I looked at troubleshooting in manual and it said to press clear, I did and it worked for a few days!!! After few days, SE showed up again, and could not fix. Stove too worked, oven didnt. Yay. Repair man just left, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! $289 later... **, shouldve bought one of those unattractive, coil stoves, those last for decades!!! DISAPPOINTED EXPERIENCE WITH OUR FIRST SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. Do I hear class action suit?
The crisper drawers in a $2000.00 Samsung refrigerator are two pieces assembled at factory. There is an overlap of plastic in which food and water gets trap and there is no way to remove the front of the drawer to clean out rotting food and sitting liquids. Customer support confirms this when I called. There is no way to seperate them, there is no way to clean it. No solution. Rotting food and stale liquid must remain trapped. They do not offer any solution or different parts to resolute the problem.
Samsung ref is the pits, I have replaced the control panel and the replacement has stopped working correctly. I have replaced the water inlet valves and now one of them is no longer working properly. The ice maker overfills and freezes the cubes in a giant lump. And all of this happens just after the warranty expired, of course. I owned a Samsung ref, stove, micro, dishwasher, washer and dryer - all are less than 7 years old. I have had to replace the dishwasher and washer and dryer. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance.
In 2015 I purchased a new Samsung electric range, dishwasher, fridge, washer & dryer from HHGREGG. I decided, because it was a large purchase, to opt in for the 5 year warranty on the oven, washer, and fridge which was through WarranTech. During the 4 years we had the oven I needed to be repaired 3 times. All separate issues. The last repair needed was due to the broiler element basically exploding, catching fire, and melting. We called the service plan and they had a repairman come out. He said he would order the new part and someone would contact me to schedule a repair. No one called after a week. I contacted WarranTech and was told they were reimbursing me for the current value minus the repair costs, so like $350. What!!!The washing machine was recalled due to the top becoming loose and possibly detaching. I was reimbursed the full purchase price. The fridge had countless issues with the ice maker which eventually was not repairable. I was reimbursed the current value minus the repair costs. I find it ridiculous that I spent thousands of dollars for appliances that became useless within 2-4 years. My $2000 fridge and $1000 oven are junk and yes I was reimbursed some money but I still paid a lot for essentially a broken appliances. It’s horrible and I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with this headache.
Our series model has a long history of consumer complaints on ice build up because of a faulty defrost design. We cannot fill the lower freezer beyond 50% capacity. The interior wall shelves and plastics easily break. The interior compartments are cheap.
We purchased the Samsung 24 Stormwash dishwasher in August 2020. After the first time I ran a full cycle, I got an error code OC. I looked it up and the manual said to contact the manufacturer. I tried using another cycle to see if that would work, it didnt. So I tried several other cycles and it finally completed a cycle. But I immediately noticed it didnt wash the dishes at all. Dishes that didnt even have grease on them before, were greasy with debris on it. Mind you, I rinse the majority of the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. So I called Home Depot to tell them it wasnt working and they informed me at that moment that it was purchased from the manufacturer so I would have to contact them. Soooo, I called them and I have had the run around from the very beginning. They arranged with a local company to send a tech out to look at it. That is whole story in itself (and not a good one). He FINALLY came out, said it needed a part, ordered it and came back to install it a week later. After he left, I tried a cycle and it worked. And then I ran another cycle and it barely got about 2 to 5 minutes into the cycle and it stopped. I called Samsung again, and after speaking to the lady (a rather rude lady at that), she finally escalated it for me to get a refund or replacement because they couldnt get in contact with the company that supposedly fixed my unit. They were supposed to call me back within 24 to 48 hours. A WEEK later, I called them because I never got a phone call back and they had the nerve to tell me I didnt qualify for a replacement or refund. They sent a defective unit that cost $1052.85 and now I have to jump through hoops just to get the unit fixed. The rep has been rude and dismissive. The unit is horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. We have everything else Samsung, but we will NEVER buy from them again!
My refrigerator has leaked water into my crisper drawers almost ever since I had it. Then about two weeks ago the refrigerator quit working, but the freezer still worked. I lost a lot of food in the fridge. I had Turner Appliance come out and they charged me $60 to tell my to defrost my fridge for two days and let the icing updefrost and melt. They also told me to contact you because it was an issue with Samsung. What do you plan to do about it?
I bought my Samsung refrig in 2011 from Lowes and it needed repairs 3 times. First the control panel on door did not work. Second time it was a coil for the defrost. Third time it was a new motherboard. Now this is the fourth time and its doing the same thing. This item cost around $3000. I have lost thousands in food and waited weeks for parts. I want this to be replaced! Im at my wits end. Next step is BBB. I did buy the extended warranty from Lowes, but it will expire in January and then Im stuck with a lemon. Samsung, stick to tvs.
Purchased Samsung model RF263AEBP french door less than 2 yrs back of refrigerator inside where fan is froze. Had repairman come out and he put some type of foil on it and the fan started working again, cost 200.00. Now 3/29/16 it started again. Wonder how much it will be this time. I would not recommend Samsung to anyone!!!
I bought my fridge about two years ago from Lowes, and, no, I did not get the extended warranty (however, I now understand that is VERY important in order to get service on problems). The last conversation I had with Samsung was that they do NOT have a repairman in the Charleston, SC area!!! In the beginning when the ice maker froze, I contacted Samsung and learned how to reset it over the phone. Being retired, I was very impressed that I could do that rather than having to have a service person come out. After repeated calls to Samsung, on the same issue, they sent a repairman to fix the problem. However, I had to ask why I was having to pay anything since this is a well-known problem with Samsung AND that I am aware of the class action suit against Samsung.Since I am having to reset/defrost every 2 months, I am looking for a different brand. I love the fridge but it is too labor intensive to fix the problem that often. BTW, the repairman told me Samsung does a stop-gap fix and if that doesnt work, they may replace the ice maker. But Samsung says the repair is on me. However, Samsung is digging its heels in and leaves the customer hanging. Guess they have enough customers. But do they have repeat customers. Do they not understand the absolute value of repeat business???? The class action law suit is supposedly going to mediation in June, and hopefully, a resolution will be forthcoming.
We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?
I purchase a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy about a year ago. I started having problems with it not completing the wash cycle, I called the geek squad for service and the tech informed me that the control board had to be replace for the price of $400.00.
We purchased this machine in July/13, we installed it in Oct/13. It was quiet, I was excited. Then I opened it. The dishes were not clean. If they are not totally clean when you put them in, look out. People, buy a dishwasher to avoid hand washing. Now 3 mos., later I am getting a 9E error from what I am reading. I am not the only one, looks like we bought a lemon. I wonder how the customer service will be. I am sure to find out tomorrow. I would not recommend this dishwasher to anyone!!
Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!
I purchased a Samsung Bottom Freezer #RB215LABP in May 2009. Within a year, I noticed underneath the fresh produced bins there was accumulated water underneath both bins and semi-frozen. I cleaned it up and thought nothing of it. Consulted the owners manual but it failed to mention that. I adjusted the temperature but did not notice any other on-going issues.Fall 2013, I noticed the ice maker stopped working and my frozen foods were no longer frozen. Just my luck, I realized my warranty expired 4 months ago. Out of pocket payment to local service guy who informed me that its a manufacturer’s defect. The computer board for the freezer is defective. There are also issues with a loss of freon, compressor is blocked and defrost issue. Despite all of these problems, there is nothing wrong with the ice maker - it just cant make ice due to the other issues. This was my dream refrigerator and Im so disappointed that in less than 5 five years, I must purchase/replace a major appliance. Who has that kind of money? BUYER BEWARE.
We purchased Samsung washer, dryer, & refrigerator from Lowes on Hilton Head Island. Nothing but trouble. Motor in washer and icemaker in fridge went out. We had to wait 3 weeks to have our washer serviced because they did not have an authorized service person in area. Today we paid $90.00 for a Samsung service person to come from Savannah GA to tell us that we need a $300.00 motor for the icemaker... plus labor... next week! Oh and by the way... Lowes is not carrying Samsung appliances anymore because of problems... go figure!!!
We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. Myrtle Beach SC. I would NEVER recommend Samsung Appliances to anyone.
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator model # RS2630WW/XAA from Best Buy a few years ago. We began noticing rust appearing right below the the ice/water dispenser. There must be some sort of leak, because the rust marks run down the front of the left refrigerator door. Now the white paint is starting to bubble and crack. I am very frustrated because, of course the refrigerator is no longer under warranty and I am at a loss as to how to fix the problem. We have our house on the market and planned to include the fridge with the sale of the house, however several people who have toured our house have commented on the unsightly refrigerator.
Looking for a new fridge freezer, there standing proudly is a Samsung American style Fridge Freezer, boasting a unique 10 year warranty on the fridge freezer COMPRESSOR. We had the item 2 years when the compressor failed and had it replaced, now a 2 further years on it fails again, we call Samsung and explain our problem with the 2 year old replaced compressor and Samsung proudly informed us YES indeed we will honour our pledge displayed on our Freezers and we shall supply you with a brand new compressor, Er BUT you will have to have it installed yourself as that is the extent of our warranty, the small print if you like, Yet another customer sucked in and duped by a multinational company. Well done. Senior citizens cough up for their own idiocy of believing the embossed sign on Samsung products. Shameful but cost effective.
Purchased Samsung Side-by-Side Refrigerator RS267TDDP in May 2012. Dissatisfied with the performance of the refrigerator and the no customer service received when I contacted Samsung Corporation. This cooling issue started in 2014 and the cooling issue has returned. Disappointed that they would not stand by their product. Theyve lost a loyal customer as I do not plan to purchase anything other products from them.
After 18 months and final payment to Best Buy for my Samsung refrigerator, my ice maker stopped working. The fridge has consistently been leaking water at the left corner of the fridge and the front panel under the ice dispenser and inside the door. Called Samsung to complain, they say its out of warranty and will not pay for the repair. Did some research and discovered there are thousands of people on the web and facebook at SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR RECALL U.S.A. NOW making the same complaints. There are also lots of people posting photos of reimbursement checks for Samsung products including my fridge but not after months of hassle. Now, Ill be joining the many that have filed complaints with the BBB of New Jersey.
We purchased a 20 c.f. French door, bottom freezer, Samsung Model RF217ACWP refrigerator on August 11, 2013. It was delivered to us on August 14, 2013. We are not happy with the continuous obnoxious noises this refrigerator makes - a very high pitched noise, a rattling noise that gets progressively louder, and a noise like water running. It is constant noise any time this refrigerator cycles through whatever the cycle is at the time. The drawers in the freezer compartment are iced over all the time and have been since day one. This does not seem normal. On Oct. 11, 2013 we went to the Sears store where we purchased this refrigerator to discuss returning it. The salesman told us no problem since the refrigerator was so new but he had to call Customer Solutions to get it scheduled for pick up.Customer Solutions informed us that since it had been more than 30 days since the purchase, we would have to pay a 15% restocking fee unless we have a service technician look at the refrigerator, that this would be the way to avoid the restock fee. We have no intention of keeping this refrigerator and no interest in exchanging it for the same Samsung product. We wish to return it for a refund so that we can purchase a US made.It appears that Sears has recently (October 06, 2013) changed their return policy on appliances. At the time we purchased we were told that we had 60 days to return. On October 11, 2013 the salesman at Sears was very surprised to hear that Customer Solutions was requiring us to have a service technician look at this refrigerator to avoid a 15% re-stock fee. Seems that Sears can change their return policy and make it retroactive. We have read the many complaints concerning Samsung refrigerators, Sears, etc. We would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Samsung, Sears and anyone else selling this inferior product.
A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsungs official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldnt believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadnt come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label. I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled office with two Is instead of two fs. Customer service told me that they had alerted the proper person to the problem. When I asked for that persons information, I was told that it doesnt speak to the public. Nice!Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation. They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but Id gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsungs Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesnt support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowes. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.
The microwaves fan has come on by itself, and 7 seconds appears on the microwave as well. This is a top of the line microwave (Model # ME21K701DS). After reading some of the reviews, I spoke with Samsung. Samsung will not fix the issue since it was no longer under warranty. No recalls on this microwave issue. The microwave was purchased, November 2016 - this should not be happening. Yet this appears to be happening to many other Samsung customers. This appears to be a malfunction - is there anything that Samsung will do?
Alluded to this in my earlier rating of the refrigerator product. More specifically, the induction stove is also a hit and miss item. We have purchased VERY high end cookware and find that some cookware works on some of the burners, but it is very hit and miss. We waited until our one year Samsung warranty expired so we dont have to work with their ponderous/painful/frustrating warranty department, and now will work with the extended warranty we purchased from a reputable retailer to see how that works. Again... if its a Samsung my advice is to run. Pick a different deal. These are poor products with extremely bad service.
I bought a side by side fridge. Had it 7 mos and the freezer worked but the fridge didnt. It was not cooling at all. I called Samsung. It took them 5 days to come out. When repair guy came out I asked him why does Samsung have so many bad reviews? He said the side by side are notorious of having problems. Bought a Samsung Washer. Nothing but problems with it. The service tech has been out 4 times and still have not fix the problem. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AT ALL. Do your homework. By the way the fridge was 1,900.00. Not cheap.
The dishes are extremely fantastic, their prices are very affordable to anyone who desires to use them and long-lasting. They dont easily break and I can assure that you will completely love using them. I highly recommend them.
I purchased the Samsung RF217ACBP refrigerator two years ago from Sears. Slowly over time the ice maker is making less and less ice (a few ice wedges per day). Over the last two months, we have been getting water collecting in the bottom of the crisper drawers every day. Changed humidity settings on the crisper drawers and varied the temp setting of the refrigerator to no avail. Refrigerator is out of warranty so Im not willing to spend large sums of money to have service repair of the unit. From what I am reading, this may not even result in a permanent fix of the problems. Will empty the unit tomorrow and try the troubleshooting ideas I found online. I wouldnt recommend this refrigerator to anyone.
Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher in 2017. The fan has blown for the 4th time in 2 years.. They apparently upgraded the fan in 2019, so I figured I would fork out the money and pay for that instead of just tossing this thing. Took a few months and that piece of garbage stopped working as well. Custom support is zero help - cant confirm if there has been a recall, what part is correct. Have been waiting for their superiors to contact me forever. Joke of a company. Do not buy their appliances.
I purchased a Sumsung dishwasher new and approx. 18 months later, it stopped working. The replacement parts and repair totaled only $115.00 less than I paid for the product new. The repairman said Samsung was NOT dependable, but they often stood behind their products and would pay for parts and/or repair especially since this machine was relatively new. I also heard that if I paid to have this repaired, that Id probably have to call repair in next few years again. Samsung refused to help pay for even the parts, so Im chucking it and buying a Bosch. I dont need bells and whistles, I just need a dishwasher that works.
My fridge was only just 6 years old purchased in December 2013. It was stored in my shed, switched off, not used from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019 while we renovated. It just stopped working by not getting cold in January 2020 after being back in service for 4 months. I could not get a Samsung service agent to look at it. Finally a fridge mechanic that I found, advised me the fridge has failed to hold the refrigerant gas and even though the compressor was still working fine it cannot be repaired. I called Samsung Australia several l times and also used chat, had to follow up 5 times and despite my case being looked into as it was outside warranty any help or warranty replacement was denied. Reading the ACA website I would class this as a major fault that could not be repaired. Had I have known that there was a chance that a major fault would occur in only 5 years an expensive $2000,00 fridge would be thrown in the rubbish then I would have never purchased this brand. Its possible the pipework with the gas was poor quality material and can breakdown, something that never used to happen. A good quality fridge should last 10-15 years.. It has leaked all the poisonous R5 gas into the ozone layer and my kitchen and Samsung did not care. Samsung only offer a 2 year standard warranty on the new fridge products..So dont expect it to last much longer than that. Good looking fridge to attract you in, but I will never recommend you buy a Samsung fridge. Once bitten twice shy.
I purchased Samsung electric range (model NE59J3420SS) Jan. 26, 2016 with all kitchen appliances all Samsung. Big mistake. Should have read reviews before purchasing. The range has error message that cannot be corrected according to manual. This is second problem, first problem was 9 months after purchase. The store where I purchased range will send tech out Mon. am for $100 to come out, then $60 every 15 min. plus parts and labor. I know I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product, I have told all my family and friends, now others have told me they also have had problems with all Samsung products.
I believe Samsung on purpose! made an oven that does not allow you to put foil on the bottom of the oven to catch any spills. Knowing most people do put the foil on the bottom; this is the way they get more money from the consumer because the melting foil and the damage of the coating that came off is not covered by the warranty. I had 2 service people come out 4 months after purchase for another problem and neither of them said anything about the foil that was on the bottom of the oven. Your own service people are not educated about the products they are working on. Now I have an oven I can no longer use. Its less than a 1 year old. Purchased on 4/17/19.It says in the manual page 8, (But not in Bold) that the foil could cause electric shock or catch fire. That seems pretty important but you didnt bother to make that in Bold. Because you want people to use the foil/liner and ruin their ovens. You put stupid things in bold like, use care when toughing the cooktop. Like I need to be told that! Really Samsung, you have gone backwards in developing new products. Why would you design something that not every oven user will know what not to do unless they read your user manual. What about when you sell a house. Should the new owners automatically know that your oven could cause an electric shock or catch fire because they put a liner on the bottom of the oven. It seem like your lack of care for your customers really speaks volume of what kink of people you are! You set your customers up to fail, and that makes you a big failure! The oven already does not follow the California law of not having any cancer causing materials. Wow! Samsung, thanks again for caring so much about your buyer! You had a designer who was not educated on why the foil on the bottom of the oven is so important. And probably has never used an oven. Pay attention to your buyers! Get better designers who have experience in using the product! Just because they have a college degree does not mean they know anything about what they are designing! I will make sure I let everyone I know not to buy Samsung and why!
Anyone who buys a Samsung Fridge is in for a big disappointment. The service is horrible. Weve had a serviceman out to fix the same problem 5 times. The fridge will work for 4 days after repair and then the exact same problem occurs. The staff weve talked with over the phone have been uncooperative, rude, lie after lie. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!! They are the worst company Ive ever dealt with. From looking at the reviews most people who buy Samsung have the same problems!
I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in 2010. In late 2012 I noticed a little rust at the bottom of the water/ice dispenser. I thought at first It was externally caused. When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.
I have had my Samsung refrigerator for about six months. I awoke on Christmas morning (I have the entire family over for Christmas lunch and dinner) to find my refrigerator was dead. The entire contents were warm to the touch, so it must have been off for some time before I noticed it. I was forced to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food. No one is open on Christmas. I had a house filled with hungry people and a refrigerator filled with rotten seafood. The only place we could find to eat was a Chinese restaurant (it was like a bad rerun of the movie a “Christmas Story”) till it was all said and done I ended up paying almost $400 at the restaurant. I called Samsung and they said they would send a repairman over but not for two weeks. I take off work the day of the appointment (I work second shift and the repair shop would only give me an 8-5 window); the guy never shows. When I contact the repair shop they apologize and then tell me he wasnt coming to fix it, he was only going to look at it and that he would have to order parts. Once the parts came I would have to schedule another appointment to have it fixed. I explain I can’t keep taking off work and the woman on the phone assures me that she can get a repairman to make me his first stop of the day. On the day of the appointment I waited all morning and finally had to leave for work just before 2:00. The repairman calls me at 2:30 and gives me an attitude for not being there. At this point I call Samsung again asking for another repair company. I am informed this company is the least busy and if I get another company it will take even longer. I made another appointment and wait all morning and you guessed it, the repairman shows up again after I have already left. At this point I am furious. I call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and they send a guy out that same week. It ends up being an entire board that is dead (part # da41-00404e). The repairman tells me it would take him 5 minutes to fix it but Samsung does not let them keep parts on hand, they have to be ordered. More waiting. I had an appointment today and the repairman replaced the board and also found a fan that was bad (couldnt tell it was bad until the board was replaced). To add injury to insult the fan also had to be ordered but it was back-ordered. That coupled with having to make another appointment once the part gets here means I won’t have a fridge until the middle to end of next month! I have a child that lives here part-time who has special needs. I have medicines that need to be refrigerated as well as very expensive formulas. I have been keeping them at the neighbor down the street house but this is very difficult to say the least especially when it comes to feedings in the middle of the night.
I paid over $2K for for a Samsung 3 Door refrigerator from Lowes a little over three years ago long with a high end Samsung Range. The range failed as soon as the warranty expired and was cheaper to junk than to repair, the Refrigerator has been going downhill over he past two years. Do yourself a favor and stay away from any Samsung appliances. They are junk.
This is an update on my January 30 review for my SMH9187B microwave, which failed three times in two years. This time, the microwave would not shut off unless I opened the door or pulled the plug. After about a week, it went dead completely, with a burnt smell. I was also referred to Executive Customer Relations who said they would arrange for service but only at my expense. I have now taken this piece of junk to the electronics dump and replaced with a GE model (my previous GE lasted over 18 years). Im told that all microwaves are made by only 3 companies, and they dont last as long as they used to; but GE will back up their products a lot better than Samsung. Samsung supposedly has a really good customer satisfaction rating on appliances in general, but I wont be buying any more for sure.
I bought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator about 3 years back. A month ago, my fridge stopped cooling and the freezer was acting like the fridge. I called All Pro Repairs in Dallas and he replaced the board and thermostats. Now, I have the fridge freezing food and acting like a freezer. I unplugged the appliance and defrosted, but no use—it’s back to freezing. The tech says another part has to be replaced. I am in a fix as I have already spent over $150.00. I’m not even sure if the tech knows what needs to be done.
When we built our new house we decided to buy Samsung products at Sears. The first Samsung Fridge that we bought quit on the first day. This should have spoken volumes to us but we were too excited. The fridge was promptly replaced. We have had nothing but trouble with the fridge. Every 3 weeks we have to remove a significant amount of water from underneath the deli tray. Our ice maker will occasionally work and we cannot up or lower temperatures as the temp controls no longer work. Our strong recommendation if you are in the market for new appliances, especially a fridge, DONT buy Samsung. Youre simply buying JUNK that will be nothing but a headache for you!
I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Ill drop dead before I EVER buy another Samsung product.
I’ve had nothing but issues with my refrigerator... Ice maker gives us grief and leaks at times, but most of all the problem at hand is the fact that our refrigerator just randomly overheats and when we reset it it gets super cold...it typically takes all of 24 hours of messing with it and resetting it multiple times to get it to run properly! We’ve tried to get it warrantied out with no luck so far!
