This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

Purchased new French door Samsung fridge (RF18FENBWW). About 4 months later I noticed water under the veg drawers. Thinking I had spilled it, I just cleaned it up. Then a few months later, same thing. Called Samsung and they told me to defrost it, raise front up - did that. Then about 2 weeks after 1 yr warranty expired, I need to clean up water at least twice weekly or it runs onto floor. Samsung will do nothing. I have to defrost for a few days at least monthly. Never, never ever buy a Samsung refrigerator. Really feel bad for these people that bought the whole appliance suite.

Got the 5E error code after a month of purchase. Technician came out and fixed it. I should of researched this product before buying. Technician had to come out 3 more times for the exact same error code, half the time not finding anything wrong (of course). Its now 1 month past warranty and does the same thing. I took it apart, checked hoses, cleaned all filters, cleaned the pump and still no dice. It is obviously a common problem with these units and has nothing to do with a kinked drain hose or whatever else they try to say.Easy way to check this: put a few cups of water into the dishwasher prior to starting it. The first thing it does on any wash cycle is drain whatever water is in there. Open it up when it pauses to change to the wash cycle (2 mins or so) and if the water is gone then obviously nothing is wrong with the pump or check valve or hose. It doesnt crap out until after the 1st wash cycle and does this immediately. Circuit board maybe?? I dont know but I do know that Im not taking this B.S. after shelling out $700.Customer service is joke, and after 9 calls and 2 emails, I finally talked with a floor manager. He understands my frustrations and is very sorry and he can set up an appointment to get it serviced which I will have to pay for. I asked him if he knows basic math and if you multiply the average service calls per year to maintain this one of kind Samsung beauty, if it would be worth it to him. He didnt seem to understand this so I walked him through it: 4 x $150 = $600.Ding Ding Ding. Thats right smart guy, I might as well buy a new dishwasher. So he transferred me to customer relations. They agreed to make a one time exception and pay for the repairs. I told him to prepare for one hell of an exceptional bill because Im going to make sure they replace every possible part on this P.O.S.

Samsung otr microwave smh9207st is very dangerous and should be recalled. It had the door replaced twice and almost every holiday while I was cooking on the stove the steam rose and if the microwave was turned on it died like it isnt sealed properly. I think it was the third time it actually caught on fire and the magnetron and numerous parts were replaced free of charge with the promise if it failed again it would be replaced with no problems. When it died again they did not replace it - they repaired it again. When it died again they admitted they had it on record it was supposed to be replaced but refused to. They would pay for the magnetron but that was it. I would be responsible for the labor and any other parts. The repair service visit for the fire the repairman had just left a place not 20 miles from me for the same microwave catching on fire. I wanted to share my experience because I believe someone might truly get hurt by this product. I will not repair this again for the fear of burning my house down. I will never buy one of their products again because I have found they do not care if it is dangerous. They should recall and discontinue making it.

We purchased the Samsung Electric Range Model NE595R0ABSR Oct. 2014. The convection fan in the oven stopped working. This also causes the oven temp. to drop. Contacted Samsung Consumer Support. I was told the item is out of warranty. They will not provide a part number or allow you to purchase the items to repair the issue. They do have preferred service companies aka sub-contractors. Samsung can not or will not provide an estimate on what the repair may cost. Im in my 40s and remember appliances of my parents and grandparents lasting 20 plus years. I will NEVER purchase or recommend ANY Samsung appliance!

RF197ACWP - Water leaks into the crisper drawers and under the drawers. The refrigerator is 18 months old. I took out a warranty from PC Richards. I have had them out three times. And it has happened again. I have to take a day off from work, empty out the refrigerator and freezer the day before service call. From the reviews I see that it is a constant problem with Samsung. How is the Samsung company allowed to get away with this? Why have they not been ordered to take this off the market until they can right this wrong. When there is a problem with cars they have a recall. Why not appliances? Can anyone answer this.

Bought my refrigerator model rb195acbp/xaa about 3 yrs ago. When I got it the ice maker scare the soul out of us. Extremely loud. Recently it stopped cooling from freezer and regular fridge compartment. Lost about 120 worth in groceries. They sent in a tech to fix it. Worked for a week or less and lost again about 80 dollars worth of groceries. Called them again. They said I have to pay about 120 for a tech to stop by. I cant believe this. I was a Samsung buyer. Bought Samsung cell phones. I have bought about $5,000 worth on brand new tvs and now I get this. Looking at all these reviews I guess Im not the only one having issues. Really Samsung... Never buying a Samsung product again...

Terrible quality. Why? Poor construction, handle breaks easily, uneven, low powered heating, turntable malfunction. Bought it to match a Samsung stove. First mistake. I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model Number: DW80F600UTS/AA on June 22, 2014. Everything seemed to be working fine until November 30, 2014. We had issues with the Dishwasher, Product Symptoms: Operation/Doesnt work/Doesnt dry. This was covered under Samsungs warranty within a year. It is now August 2015 and were already having another issue with this Dishwasher - we had an appliance repair person come to the house and he tells me we now need a computer board for this dishwasher. One hundred something dollars and thats just for the part, thats not covering labor to install the part. The Technician is telling me if you have any sort of voltage issues these Dishwashers will need parts replaced. What is getting me angry is that we have a whole house surge protector protecting our main breaker and were still having issues. I would expect issues after several years say 4, or 5 not within the first year to year and 1/2. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and explained to them the latest issue. I also explained to them there was another issue several months after we bought this Dishwasher. Samsungs reply was its over the warranty, period. You used to buy appliances from Sears no less that would last years, now you pay good money thinking youre getting a good product - Samsung no less - and this is the way they treat you. It is not right. Period.

Quit cooling. The back of the refrigerator ices up and leaks unsanitary water down into crisper, meat bin, the ice maker, and freezer drawers. Cannot find water filter to replace it. The filter replacement light has been on for years. I looked at the back of fridge and in front. The water filter is impossible to find and no help with the manual. Won’t cool. Fruit spoils in a day or two. Had to buy mini fridge for meats and dairy. Leave in milk and it sours after a couple of days. Won’t cool below 60 degrees. Paid almost $2500 dollars for a heavy, useless piece of junk that gets my family sick with food poisoning. Stick to traditional brands when purchasing a refrigerator. Samsung is just shiny junk.

Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue. All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, remedies. However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

We have a Samsung RS263 with French doors. We keep hearing a sound like a fan clipping something. Called Samsung toll free number and got told basically to call a authorized service center and get a technician out. We live in rural Saskatchewan 30 minutes outside of Regina. When we asked who was the authorized rep for our area Samsung couldnt tell us. I finally suggested to my wife to unplug the fridge for a while because to me it sounded like the fan was hitting on some frost or ice buildup. After a couple of hours we plugged the fridge back in and the problem was gone for a day or two, then reoccurs. We had a few fridges in our lives and this is the first and last time we will ever buy any Samsung product.

We have had ongoing issues with this fridge since it was 13 months old. We are on the third icemaker and have had the latest motherboard fix installed on 6-12-20. We deal with a drippy ice and water dispenser, water under the crispers, and very inconsistent fridge and freezer temps. The fridge display will say 37° when the temp is actually anywhere between 38-58°. We have lost over $200 in food. I have personally endured an 8 hour online support chat, numerous phone calls, and emails to seek full compensation for this defective appliance so I may purchase a safe fridge. After posting an honest review on the Lowes website I was contacted by Samsung support and on 9-10-20 and Samsung emailed me paperwork offering me a refund of $2448.29 for my defective unsafe refrigerator. This refrigerator has been unsuccessfully repaired three times. We are using a mini fridge in our kitchen because the Samsungs inconsistent temps are not food safe. I completed the online refund paperwork & returned it electronically and mailed the actual paperwork via certified mail on 9-17. They contacted me 9-18 by text and have switched my refund amount to only $1530.18. This is not a warranty issue, this is a known design defective (since 2006) that Samsung continues to sell to unsuspecting customers. They appear to use unethical and fraudulent bait and switch tactics with customers.

We upgraded to a stainless steel Samsung gas range two years ago. I loved it at first... it was pretty and new, however at the one year anniversary I noticed that the bottom pan of the oven was cracking and peeling. I contacted Samsung, but alas, we were one week out of warranty but they would be happy to send us a new part for 79.00 plus installation. I said “No thank you,” because I might have to order a number of these because they only last one year. Upon cleaning my stove about two months ago, I noticed that the knobs are all cracked and one is broken... the plastic shaft (that is painted to look like metal) all defective. Probably due to the fact that they are in metal knobs… attached to metal shaft and the exhaust from the oven is directly below the knobs. So! I called Samsung and received the usual mantra that the range is out of warranty, but they would be happy to send me some more to the tune of $55.00 per knob plus shipping. I was on the phone for at least 45 minutes, but receiving no satisfaction. THEN! I got call from customer service a week later, that they would indeed give me a one time warranty on the knobs and to expect them to come shortly. I was really happy and looking forward to the knobs arriving. Well... we are one month out from receiving the call that they would replace the knobs, so I called Samsung to follow up. After sitting on the phone for another 45 minutes, I was told that Customer Service had sent the order to the parts department and the parts department denied the claim. Of course, no one called or emailed me.So, they told me I could order new ones. No thank you! Two weeks ago I was going to bake an item, and my oven would not heat up. We purchased the extended warranty from (H.H. Gregg… who is currently out of business!) so I called the warranty company who sent out a service man who replaced the oven igniter. The service man told me that most ovens are made this way... the bottom plate chips and cracks... the knobs break and crack... and to be on the watch for the convection fan because that will be the next thing. This range is just a piece of junk... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance. We thought we were purchasing a quality appliance... guess the joke is on us!!

Last September we had purchased a Samsung refrigerator. A month later the Slide and Reach pantry flap broke; very cheap design. I had some personal issues with my aging parents and was unable to do anything until May. First, I had difficulty communicating with the customer agent as well as being told that the part number in the manual may be different on their end. Really??? After almost 40 minutes they said the part would be shipped. On July 2, I called and again there was an issue understanding the reason why they did not ship the part. Again, after another 40 minute conversation trying to clarify what part I needed he assured me he understood and will ship the part. It finally came July 11. Guess what? WRONG PART. Sent me the drawer and not the flap! So, I call again. After 10 minutes of listening and not understanding the woman on the other end, I asked to talk to someone who spoke better English. After 10 minutes on hold, a supervisor (not speaking any better English) told me this part was not covered under the warranty to be shipped and that only a technician could order it; technician NOT covered under the warranty. At least, this is what I understood of the broken conversation. I will do my best to make sure that any major appliance purchased in the future will be made or serviced by the United States such as I have been trying to do with the things I purchase now.

I purchased this refrigerator almost a year and a half ago. It suddenly started playing up. Now it’s neither cooling fridge nor freezer compartment. I live in a town almost 200 km away from Jeddah from where I bought it from. I contacted the dealer and he straightaway refused to help. I asked him for the contact number of Samsung Jeddahs main dealer, but he told me, “If anything goes wrong with your appliances, it is just your bad luck and we cant help you.” So I called one refrigeration engineer at my own expense and he diagnosed that the problem lies in the motherboard unit and my refrigerator is non-repairable.Everyone knows how hot the weather is in Saudi Arabia and the pain I suffered because this world class brand is really awful. I would not recommend anyone to go for this ** brand Samsung ever owing to their awful reliability and customer service track.

We paid almost $700.00 for this dw80f600uts dishwasher, first trouble within 6 months of installation. We contacted Samsung. We basically got the run-around until the dishwasher was out of warranty. They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We bought Samsung everything! From 2013-2015 we bought a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and none are now working. The refrigerator stopped making ice and when it was working we would have plastic pieces in our cup. After getting it repaired and paying the fees for them to come out and repair it 5 months later, the whole fridge doesnt work. It is no longer cooling or freezing anything and along with thousands of dollars down the drain for this refrigerator, hundreds of dollars on food is also gone.We also bought a stove and the oven is no longer working. We use it as storage. The washer we bought was no longer spinning the clothes. So we replaced it with another product. The dryer who knows when that will stop working. I thought Samsung was a great company and their products would last long, but this is the worst thing to be wrong about. Thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Now we have to buy new appliances. Their customer service is no help and unfortunately we didnt read any reviews. Will never buy a Samsung product again and I will definitely post on social media and tell everyone looking for appliances to not purchase their products either, what a shame.

I should have done my homework before installed this almost 60 LB waste of space over our stove. Shortly a year after owning it, it began beeping in the night. What we then found was the dreaded SE code had begun -- one only needs to Google it to learn all they need. Thankfully, there are actually YouTube videos showing how other consumers had to save their microwaves from this product failure...so we did it as well, and it worked...for about two months. And then the microwave stopped working entirely. What a waste of several hundred dollars! Shameful they just didnt stand by their products and recall and correct the issue.DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!

Within 6 months the gas got leaked and I had to pay $4500 again. Within a month, the same problem. In the same amount I could have bought a new fridge with any other company. The customer support people always has to say there is a delay of technician because of heavy call flow. The request has still not been forwarded due to which the technician didnt visit the property. Now again within 30 days the same problem & still I have to pay again the same amount as well as the tech fees of $350. One of the 3rd grade services I have ever seen with this company. Ill never buy any stupid product from of Samsung because its one of the ** company in all products and request you all not to buy anything from this company because they only know how to make money without satisfying the customers need.

For years, Ive been influenced by my Korean friends on Korean brands. In Dec. 2013, my husband and I decided to invest in home appliances. We visited a local dealer and looked at our options. Without hesitation, we looked at different Samsung fridge models, and after deciding on what will fit in our kitchen space and what will be best for a starting family like us, we bought a Samsung Frost Free - Inverter Type fridge (model: RT20FARVDSA/TC). The sales associate at the local store helped us with our decision. He discussed the differences between the different models and benefits of each as well. He wasnt pushy and he politely asked what we wanted and what we needed. He also discussed the daily operating cost of this particular Samsung model (Ive always heard how energy efficient and environment-friendly these Korean brands are).In fact, this fridge is really cost effective - when I calculated our monthly usage and stuff, it appears that this fridge only costs us around 200 PHP a month. Our other fridge cost us around 400 PHP a month. I like this fridge better than the other one we had, which was a White Westinghouse fridge. I like the silvery touch of our Samsung. To me, it looks elegant... It does have ample compartments for our needs and I like that the inside shelves are made of glass (I like things made of glass). I guess the price of the fridge was just right.I like almost everything about it except for one thing - I was cleaning the fridge two months after we bought it and at the bottom part where the perishables are situated, I found a crack (see attached pictures). I am not sure what caused the damage and I was not able to see that right after we purchased it, so I guess I dont have any right to fret... :-) Anyhow, the fridges motor has a lifetime warranty which to me is good enough. The fridge is only about 3 years old, no problems whatsoever other than the cracking, and were satisfied so far. We will consider another Samsung in the future.

About a year and a half ago I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator (model RF197ACWP/XAA) and the trouble began within the first year. After 6 months of use, the refrigerator started experiencing ice buildup on the evaporator coil, water leaking into the vegetable bins and under them. Ive had multiple Samsung service appointments performed by NISI NJ Inc (an Authorized Service Center of Samsung Electronics). I work full time and I was forced to use my vacation days for the multiple service appointments as the service appointments were only available Mon through Fri 9 till 5pm. Not to mention hundreds of dollars of food thrown out constantly. This multi-hundred dollar unit accordingly is unusable after less than a couple of years. I do not expect a refrigerator to last forever. I do however expect it to last at least more than two years. I recently learned that the company has sold refrigerators since 2005 with multiple defects and thousands of people are experiencing similar issues. I assumed Samsung would stand behind its product. However, after extremely lengthy and unpleasant calls with customer service office, Samsung said it refuses to offer any help as the one year warranty has now expired. The issue began when the unit was still under warranty and the original issue has never been fixed. I find this response unacceptable. I had filled out a formal complaint on April 4th, 2015 and asked to speak to management but Samsung has not done anything.

No matter what we have done, it sounds like this fridge is an airplane taking off in our kitchen. It is embarrassing. We just changed the filter, again, and ran 3 gallons of water, and it still sounds horrible. I would not buy this again. This fridge is about a year old and has done this since day one. It is a French door, and other than this I love the appliance. It sounds all time of the day and night whenever the ice maker fills or you try to fill a glass of water. Called company, the last thing the rep told me was to move it away from the way. I told her if that was all she could come up with it was pitiful.

I purchased my Samsung dishwasher in 2014 from Conns. It was the one with the bar that moves forwards and backwards. The first one started showing an error within 2 days. Samsung sent someone out to look at it and he couldnt repair it. Samsung replaced it with another dishwasher. This one lasted six months before I had my first error issue. It had to do with the pump. The repair guy fixed it and it ran for another six months then had the same error. The repair guy fixed it. Now I have a new error 7E and my repair guy is concerned. The bar has no blockage and the error is still there so now he is having to replace the motor and such. I wish I had known that these dishwashers were so crappy. I wasnt warned by my salesperson, he was just wanting to make a sale. Next time, which I feel will be sooner rather than later I am going to get a different brand. Buyer, beware and do research! Pretty doesnt necessarily make it a great product!

Now, the freezer has frozen-up. I called the repair guy. He just came but said he could not find a parking space so would not be available!!!!! He said he would call and come back. Well... no way. If you want the worlds worst customer service and to deal with a company who will do anything to avoid standing by their warranty, then buy a Samsung. On May 16 our side by side fridge stopped working. We have been EXTREMELY frustrated with customer support. We were first told Williamston TV in Farmingdale, NY would be calling us to set up an appointment. After not receiving a call from them, I called their center and they informed me they do not work on appliances. I contacted Samsung again and was given Rods in Riverhead, NY. Someone was suppose to come out today between 9 and 10 am - but no one from their center ever answered their phone. My husband ended up losing a days work because he took off to be home for the repairman. When I googled that company, their average review received 1 out of 5 stars (with many references of no one answering their phone and people never showing up to their house). I then called Samsung again and after 1/2 hour the customer service woman told us those were the only 2 centers on Long Island. Finally she told us we could get our own diagnostic and email it. Local appliance company - Recommended new refrigerator. Unit has bad evaporated coil and cover. According to the warranty from website this is covered under the 5 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR. In addition to the inconvenience, we have lost several hundred dollars in spoiled food, my husband losing a day of work, and a freezer full of pumped breast milk for my 3 month old. We need to have a response and action done immediately as we are continuing to have to go to the store to get ice to store my sons milk and keep my one and half year old sons medicine.Samsungs email response - We are sorry to hear about your response, we will dispatch Williamston TV repair. (Note - this is exactly the company I mentioned that does not work on appliances.) Samsung Executive Customer Service phone response - We need to wait for Samsung to look over and evaluate their contract with Rods. If they decide Rods is not responsive then they will put our claim through an evaluation to see if they will in fact accept the local appliance diagnostic and allow them to do the repair, a process which could take two weeks to get an approval. Shame on you Samsung! Stop telling me I will do everything to help you and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems. You obviously do not care about your customers or your product! #samsung, #samsungrefrigerator, #betterbusinessbureau, #samsungcustomersupport, #refrigerator, #worstwarranty, #samsungwarranty

Unit bought new in 2008 - in 2011 water in refrigerator unit - approx. $300 to replace evaporator cover and thaw out. Apparently drain has problem with freezing over, told by repair company that it would not happen again. May 2015 - same problem, this time 450.00 to repair. Wrote to Samsung and they denied any responsibility. Apparently this is a common problem and the fix is not adequate - would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. Feel Samsung should at least find a suitable fix for this so that consumers only have to fix once.

In late 2011 we bought the SMH1816W microwave to match the fridge purchased on the basis of a top rating from a consumer magazine, and the matching stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer at the same time. Not only was the consumer magazine wrong about the fridge, the microwave, dishwasher and washer all have issues or needed repairs. So far (knock on wood) the dryer and range havent broken. The microwave had to be repaired twice for the same problem which ended up costing $50 more than the price we originally paid for it. The fridge was replaced three times before Samsung finally admitted a manufacturing issue that caused the water line to the icemaker to freeze. A new freezer door was eventually installed with the corrected water line. The dishwasher drain pump failed after two years, and the washer is rusting at the bleach dispenser and detergent/softener holder. Once again Samsung claimed no responsibility. We live in a low humidity area (desert) so its not possible that we caused the problem. Not only has it been costly for repairs, but we wasted close to a hundred hours dealing with Samsung. Their support is abysmal, they make it as difficult as possible to even communicate with them - then all you get are stock answers. Requests to escalate to Executive Customer Relations are ignored, or delayed to the point you can do without your broken appliance and end up paying yourself. Samsung is by far the worst company Ive dealt with in 50 years, and as far as major appliances they have the worst quality of any we have ever purchased.Updated 10/22/2016: Of course, now our washer is listed as one of the models that can blow up during the spin cycle, response from Samsung - wash large loads on delicate only. We are taking bets on whether it falls apart from rusting or spinning first! Microwave - dead again - this time we are replacing it with another brand - Samsung quality is non-existent, support is useless. Bottom line, they have sacrificed quality and support for a quick profit, and will lose millions of customers because of this.

Bad product support & bad quality product: Samsung product is not working (product model no. 180 LITER, model name: Samsung double door)I’m frustrated after buying the Samsung refrigerator product and I m not satisfied with the service of this product. I bought the Samsung fridge last year. Now I have a lot of troubles at the present. It is not working. There is a major problem; the refrigerator is not working. Kindly register my complaint and replace the refrigerator I bought. If the Samsung refrigerator is not put into use by you or your authorized representatives, I will be left with no other option but to seek the legal assistance of the appropriate forum to get my grievances redressed.I am not really happy with the way your after care service centre is functioning, since they are simply interested in charging the customers rather than addressing the issue/problem rightfully. I hope you will understand my mental agony and the problem I have been facing all these days and set the issue amicably, since it is the responsibility and duty of the producing firms to attend to the customer’s needs. But yeah, Samsung has a very bad after sale support. They basically sell you the stuff and then forget about you after that. They dont care about the complaints, and they dont stand behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I dont care how good they are. There are always alternatives, and I would rather deal with a reputable and ethical company. I want to replace my Samsung refrigerator immediately. I have very bad experience with Samsung product. Even I dont know where I am supposed to go with my complaint. What should I do? I will never purchase any Samsung product again, even suggest others to buy Samsung product. I am requesting you to see the matter and try to solve my problem.

$800 Samsung dishwasher leaked within the first few months. Tech never could fully resolve the issue. We purchased the nearly $200 extended warranty because we knew it was junk. 14 months in LE code and leaking again. Call Samsung warranty dept. and they send it out for repairs. Repair company calls to verify that we know its out of warranty. We so know, its extended. They say that they dont do extended warranty work. Call Samsung back and they so, Oh, you have to call this number for extended warranty claims. I say, That is the very number I called and go you. They transfer me and I give them all of the data again (model number, warranty number, etc.) This person says, Oh, you need extended warranty and proceeds to give me the number I first called.I called the number that apparently sends you to a bunch of sadists claiming to be Samsung and give them the whole spiel again. They ask for all of the data again and then to my horror tell me to call the same number I used to call them again. Finally after much pleading they say they made an appointment with a service company. One day later service company calls to verify that this is a non-warranty service call. Very nice lady at service company says that this literally happens all day with Samsung and that shes very sorry, but doubts they will ever send over the proper reference number for it to be covered under its extended warranty.I call Samsung again and explain the situation and I swear on the entire universe they tell me once again that I must call the very number I just called to be currently speaking to them. They then give me the standard warranty number that they had given me previously and was then told by them to call the number I had just used once again. I finally get a supervisor and beg them just to admit that they are going to scam me until Ive gone crazy and to please, as another human being just admit it so I can move on and just write off the $1000 as a lesson learned.Nope, this physical manifestation of evil known as the Samsung CSR Supervisor then proceeds to tell me that they are giving me the Top Secret number that will literally get people jumping on my warranty needs. I believe this is the number Obama would call should his dishwasher quit working. I kid you not, he reads off the exact same 800 number I used to call them all of the times in the past. I had no response as I believe I had a small aneurysm and fell to the floor.I keep the evil little stainless steel monster in the garage for the day that I see Samsung have an event at Lowes or Best Buy with reps in attendance in their bright blue Samsung Polos. I am going to wheel it in and smash its evil, water pumping (although most is pumped out of the bottom of the washer) heart right in front of them.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF4287HARS, French Door, with the Flex Zone drawer) early Sept 2013. This refrigerator costs me over $2000. After about 2 months, the refrigerator section wouldnt get cold anymore. The digital display read 34 degrees, but I knew it wasnt. After reading up on trouble shooting tips, I unplugged the fridge, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in, then it read 58 degrees. I called for service (a 4 hour window, of course). The technician said it was faulty temperature sensors. He didnt have the parts and said he would have to call it in. It may be up to 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts. I thought this was ridiculous (and it was just the beginning). I called Samsung headquarters, asked them if they would kindly replace my refrigerator with a new one, since its only about 2 months old. They said its NOT THEIR POLICY. They said if its fixable, they will get a service technician to fix it. I FLIPPED!!! I told them, I do not have the luxury to wait 3 to 4 weeks for parts to come in...... I DONT HAVE A PROPERLY WORKING REFRIGERATOR!!! Their answer..... its NOT OUR POLICY. So I ask that they transfer me to upper management. I spoke to their Executive Customer Service Relations, told them my situation and my request. Their response was, ITS NOT OUR POLICY. These are the most useless customer service department heads Ive dealt with. So I bit the bullet, waited about 2 weeks, parts came in, called for service technician again. They replaced the temperature sensors. Im thinking, Whew, Im glad thats over with. About 2 weeks later, I notice the fridge is not getting cold again. Temperature is reading 48 to 52 degrees. Called for service again, they are going to replace ice maker and heating element. I asked the service repair man, What is the root of this problem? He says he doesnt know, just that the fault indicator is telling him to replace these parts. This is where Im at right now, dont even know if this second service will solve the problem. Im infuriated at Samsung. How dare they put out a product on the market without conducting extensive tests. Do they realize what a burden they are putting on their customers? Im never buying Samsung again, EVER!!! If you work for Samsung (refrigerator designer or customer service), shame on you for all the trouble you put me through. Shame on your POLICY. If you make a faulty product and you know about it, OWN UP TO IT! The customer is always right! MAKE IT RIGHT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS! Or pretty soon, you will have no more customers.

I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

I was told my best bet would be to buy a $300 service extended warranty, which I did, and they would contact a local approved appliance repair company and have them contact me. The service call provided no answer as he also found nothing that related to the error code. He returned another time to vacuum out the stale water (smells awful inside now) and said he will order every part that it might take to fix and it could be as long as 2 months. I smiled and said no way. He replied Oh yes. There are at least nine other customers waiting on parts I was later told. I was shocked- never have I ever had to wait that long for any appliance repair in all my years. As an avid cook and baker I am beyond frustrated. Because it was out of the 1 year warranty, we had to pay $158 parts and $130 labor to replace the entire filter port. Evaporator fan quit 3 years after purchase $233. 3. Ice machine needed replacement 4.5 years after purchase $240. 4. Evaporator fan quit again, less than 5 years after purchase. We are not paying another $240 for this LEMON of a refrigerator~~replacing w/ a competitors brand today. 5. Ice water dispenser doesnt drain well (minor issue).TOTAL REPAIR COSTS in 1st 5 years of ownership: $706 + $125. The 5 year warranty only covers SEALED parts. None of the above qualified. I have never known of a refrigerator to fail so completely. Look for a more reliable brand. SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR was a costly MISTAKE!

This microwave (model SMH1816S) started by itself yesterday, and the entire unit was too hot to touch within 2-3 minutes. I pressed every on/off button, plus all the other buttons, and nothing turned it off. Since this is an over-the-range unit, the only way I could stop it was to turn off the circuit breaker. Im positive this would have started a fire in my kitchen, which could have burned down my entire 8-unit condo building. Fortunately I was at home. I called Samsung repair this morning, but since the machine is out of warranty, the only thing they will do is send an authorized repair representative - at my expense. The machine is six years old, so Im not going to pay for even a service call. My old microwave was more than ten years old and still worked when I bought what I thought was a good microwave. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance.

My appliances are not a year old. Spray arm fell off dishwasher. Microwave is a piece of garbage. Refrigerator/freezer makes so much noise that we have to close our bedroom door to sleep because it sounds as if someone is trying to break in. I am so disappointed. I have had to call Samsung for support and am amazed. You can not understand the service representatives. The service representatives know absolutely nothing and continuously put you on hold for long periods of time. Who has time for this? Many dont they stand behind these supposedly top of the line products that cost a fortune? What can I do?

We purchased the Samsung RF30KMEDBSG/AA from Home Depot in August 2017. Within two months the ice maker completely froze over and was a giant block of ice. Samsung customer service instructed me to put the ice maker into a forced defrost and run that several times. They said it was because the unit was new and had air in the water lines. A week of getting good ice and then another block of ice. This went on several times until I forced Samsung to send a service tech to my home. I cited the now known class action suit to get them to come service the unit. The tech force defrosted the ice maker, sealed the compartment with clear silicone and replaced the entire ice maker mechanism. He stated this is the standard repair and thats about all they could do. Over the next four months we would get occasional build up on the ice maker which we would clean off and run it through a maintenance cycle. We are at no less than 3 customer service calls for different issues and at least 6 for the ice maker alone. Samsung has serviced the unit twice and given instructions for the homeowner to service as needed which we have performed almost bi-monthly.Last week the freezer compartment warmed up to 52 degrees and all our frozen food was lost. Of course we are now a few months out of warranty and they would come look at it but parts and labor is at our own expense. After reading more online reviews and complaints regarding Samsung products, I will never be purchasing another of their products. I spoke with Home Depot regarding the issue and they were supportive but understandably unable to assist at this point. 14 month old $2500 refrigerator that is useless and unreliable but the one star is because it looks great!

I bought a Samsung stove - cost over $1000 for dual ovens (when the slide in partition is used). It has always been ridiculously slow to reach cooking temperature - I have long since given up and just throw the food in and hope for the best. Its usually about 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees. The real problem started when I was broiling toast - happily I was watching it so when the back of stove caught fire I was there to shut everything down and hit the breaker. A huge circuit board caught fire and melted and destroyed all the wiring too. I waited weeks for a technician who charged me $260 (through Samsungs site) and it worked again, but constantly makes clicking noises. The tech said this was normal!!! (It was clicking while he there.) I guess he thinks Im stupid! Now the convection fan comes on without turning on the convection side and keeps running with the door is open. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Good chance that my house would burned. SHAME ON SAMSUNG. Theyve ignored the fire issue for years.

I will never buy another Samsung product again! The high-end dishwasher stopped working after three months! They gave us a run-around about the warranty. They tried to say it was an electrical issue and would not send a repair person out until we hired an electrician. The electrician we hired verified it was a bad control panel and not our fault. They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We were warned that they never stand behind their warranties, but we bought anyway. Big mistake on our part! We will never buy Samsung again! Please do not make the same mistake we did!

In 2010 I purchased five Samsung appliances with a five-year extended warranty. Shortly after the first year every one of the appliances had issues. I emailed Samsung and they did not even have the courtesy to reply. The stove had so many replacement parts, it was practically a rebuilt and finally deemed a lemon by Samsung. The dishwasher never cleaned well from the start despite following all the guidelines, had major parts replaced and finally stopped working all together. It was deemed a lemon and replaced. The fridge had water pooling in and under a crisper. That problem was fixed after three service calls and now it is doing the same thing. The washer stopped dispensing hot water and had major parts replaced. The dryer element burned out right after one year and then the door started having trouble staying closed. The dryer was less than three years old and Samsung could not supply a replacement door. The dishwasher was finally replaced with a new one and is nowhere near the quality of the first model. It will be a year old in June and is already having cleaning issues. The stove and dryer were three years old on an extended warranty when Samsung offered a buy out. I assumed that meant they would be paying enough money to replace the appliances. After all, the warranty states they would fix or replace defective appliances. That was not the case. The buyout fell short of actually being able to replace the same items. Dont fall for that song and dance. I thought I was buying a good name and good quality with Samsung. I was not.

On March 15, 2013 we bought a Samsung French Door Smart Refrigerator (model # RF263BEAEWW/AA) from Home Depot, along with a 5-yr extended warranty. The ice maker was a little loud, but we could live with it. It was the perfect size, and had everything we needed. One yr and 10 months after we bought it, it stopped working on Dec. 23. There is only 2 people in our household, so it was not like someone was in and out of the refrigerator all day. On Dec. 29 the repairman came out and he said we needed a new compressor and he had to order the part. On Jan 12 the repairman returned with the compressor, but then said the freon had leaked out (which he could have found if he had brought the proper tools on the 1st visit) and as a result had spewed oil into all the coils and now everything had to be replaced, and he needed to order the parts! On Jan 16, we were told the parts would be in on Jan. 20..but by Jan. 30 they had not come in and we were told they were on back order. At this point, we had been without a refrigerator for ONE month! Home Depot finally reimbursed us for the cost of what we paid for the refrigerator, but it wasnt enough to cover a like model, in another brand. Once we knew the refrigerator could not be fixed, we wanted to return 2 Samsung water filters we had bought last year, to the cost of $154.00. The boxes have never been opened, but when I called Samsung parts representative, J & J International, they said they were unreturnable. Apparently, you only have 30 days to return parts, even if unopened! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. Buyer beware, their products get good reviews, but if anything happens, it is impossible to get parts or any customer satisfaction!!

Updated on 12/25/2019: So the second tech came at a cost of 130.00 to confirm the fridge was not working due to a broken compressor. Waited another week for the official Samsung repairmen with the new compressor. Its up and running again. Three weeks without a fridge as they dragged their feet to R&R a compressor. Not good. Will not buy Samsung again nor recommend it to you.Original Review: Only after the first yr did I hook up the ice maker/ water dispenser. Kitchen remodel was on hold. But immediately it failed by continually icing up. The paint started to blister from rust around the bottom of the cut out. Out of warranty and out of mind by customer support. The handle of the freezer door broke within the first yr and I will give them credit for replacing the door face to repair that. Although it took 7 days to get tech support in Phx AZ. Now at 3 yrs I’m waiting for tech support for a closed unit fix (compressor). Waited 4 days for 1st tech to report that he was unauthorized to fix problem. That appointment was paid in full by Samsung Thank you. Now I’m waiting for another authorized tech company to diagnose the problem (2nd opinion?). That will cost ME $120. Up front. Not included in the compressor warranty. So this tech company is not satisfied with the profit made from Samsung exclusive authorization (the customer) but insists on also touching the owner. Just read online of a class action suit pertaining to ice maker. One week out for that appointment so will update this review then. On another note be aware that cleaning the inside of these appliances is next to impossible (see You Tube by others).

Samsung. We have a ton of Samsung products throughout our home, and our children use a lot of the same. We bought a Samsung refrigerator four years ago and in our opinion its a piece of crap!!! Weve had to have it serviced a few times in the last three months, with them charging $90 to show up, $75 an hour and parts. Our ice maker quit and are French door freezer started to quit. The tech came and changed the sensor and it cost over $170.They freeze our words, the ice maker to this day has never work again, and guess what, now the stinking freezer is broken again!!! Trying to get service to respond is horrible, It took us five calls over a 10 hour period to finally get someone to respond the next day. We were told the motherboard needs to be replaced and then the tech said the signal seemed to be OK to the sensor so he really didnt need to be replaced. The sensor controls the freezer. So we decided to toss out about these hours or more of frozen food. Now we have to go out and buy another refrigerator after four years!!! Wow!!! I want to go to Home Depot to check out refrigerators have asked want to good refrigerator was in one of two that was recommended was a Samsung!!! Are you combative were going to have to spend at least $2000 for a new refrigerator it wont be a Samsung unless they offered to work something with us. We bought this refrigerator as the result of the settlement of a complaint I filed with the state Attorney General against Sears for a crappy Amana refrigerator that broke six times in five years. Siri refuses to let us buy an extended warranty Surrey: we put extended warranties on everything we own. And this is one of a dozen of the websites where we will be publishing negative feedback on our horror story with our SAMSUNG refrigerator, which is a piece of crap in our opinion.Samsung Ticket #: **. Purchased the state of the art Samsung French door refrigerator with all the bells and whistles available. The first 6 months, the motherboard had to be replaced. Within the 1st year, the ice machine and freezer unit iced up so bad we could not get the drawers out of the unit without breaking them. Design flaws is all I read about and Samsung has absolutely NO one that will help. I purchased extended 5 year warranty and thought this was a bit expensive, however, it turned out to be the best thing in my deal as they have spent several thousand dollars in repair services that far exceed the cost of the unit. Now, the problems continue as we have to unplug the unit every month to chip out the ice on the freezer unit, defrost to room temp, and then restart the unit to get another 30 days of use out of it. Im sorry, its not like me to even write something negative. However, my family has been poisoned because of Samsungs malfunctioning refrigerator. The digital readout is not accurate in displaying the actual temperature of the refrigerator. Bacteria starts to grow on perishables at any temperature above 40 degrees. Upon me serving food, it read 34. This was while it was under-warranty and all you did was pay for the Parts ha. Since then, this refrigerator has not worked by freezing up once a month at least for the long 6 years Ive owned it. I firmly intend on continuing to get word out regarding this as I am a very experienced enterprise digital marketer. Dont worry, Ill keep the audience within the United States. You poisoned my family, put a band-aid on a broken fridge and it never ever worked properly. Nice job Samsung. Maybe, fridges arent your thing. If you drop that product line, Samsung may even see a spike in revenue as many people and families have been poisoned in the same way and the unanimous audience of Samsung Refrigerator owners will all feel relieved.

Will never purchase another Samsung anything. Purchased 28 cu ft refrigerator year and half ago. Problems w/ the ice maker from the day I purchased. Same as other customers - ice maker noisy and would freeze up. You call Samsung and they walk you through everything you have already done and then refer you to another number that will get back to you. When they do they leave a message to call back to the original number. Called again and was told Id be referred to an authorized repair dealer. Then notified 3 days later that there was none in my area. I did some searching and found one who stated they were. They came out the next day and found the problem (definitely Warranty) but fridge was over year old. I had been dealing with this problem since I purchased it and was told noise was normal. Took about 39 min for technician to discover the ice maker was assembled incorrectly from the factory. He reassembled it and put it back in and the ice maker has been working well (its terribly slow) for 4 days now. No knocking and loud noises. Interesting that he figured it out and Samsung didnt have a clue. Apparently they have been installed in the factory incorrectly. Ill gladly join a class action suit against them! Samsung doesnt seem to care about the consumer at all. Samsung Blue Ray DVD player just quit after approximately a year. Had been a gift from our daughter. I love the fridge when it works but am very worried reading other complaints. Ice maker was terrible until technician from Back Canyon City (small town north Phoenix) came to the rescue. Just too angry to write right now. I will edit it later. Ice maker is totally junk. The freezer ices over constantly and I have to empty it into a cooler while I remove all the parts of the freezer to scrape and clean them. The slides freeze up as well and it is hard to open. Shortly after that the weatherstripping between the French doors started to tear and so did a part of the gasket on the top of the freezer drawer. I was cleaning the right pull out clear plastic drawer and to get to the spot where things collect, I pressed gently and the whole front broke and fell off ($75 to buy a new one). From the start the customer service has been terrible. At first they had no record of me buying it, and after I scanned and took a picture of it with my phone and sent them in they either said they could not read it or never got it. This went on so long it was passed its warranty. I have never been treated so badly from a company I paid a lot of money to for a fridge and got ZIP! I went through a similar situation with my new Samsung washer that was recalled and I could not get the same replacement so I had to get a smaller size and I was told the soap drawer would have the updated roller bearings and it does not. No response from Samsung or Best Buy for that matter. Never buy a Samsung appliance again!

We bought a Samsung dishwasher model DMR78 in October 2010. After about 2 years it started to make a grinding noise. Since Samsung had no local service center we had to call an independent repair company. The diagnostic was that all the plastic brackets supporting the dishes trays were broken and little loose parts blocked the drain pump. We had to replace the pump. The repair cost was 258$. A year after we had again a grinding noise and we had to call for service again. This time the problem could not be located as it just suddenly disappear after being checked by the service men.About 6 months after we started having error codes #9E. This indicate a clogged level switch that I was able to fix myself by using instructions found on Youtube. It still means that I have to pull out the dishwasher and open it to fix it. This repair takes about 2 hours. That code started showing up again after 6 months and we are seriously thinking to replace the dishwasher after less than 5 years of usage! I would definitely not recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher.

Bought a brand new dishwasher in 7/14. It stopped working in 5 months. Called samsung, their service provider refused to schedule a service telling me I dont have a valid receipt (the one from the retailer is not valid). Called samsung back and I was transferred to customer relationship department, they reviewed my receipt and they said it is good. They called the service provider to schedule service. Again, service provider refused to provide service. Samsung said they need to find another service provider in my area (come on, this is nyc). I dont understand why samsung cannot direct the service provider to come. What a joke. Time to shop for a non samsung dishwasher (which will be my last samsung product).

The SE error occurred on a two-year-old over-the-stove microwave. The same thing - unplug, worked for a short time and then nothing but an SE error since. The TV has been a problem as well. Luckily, I had a warranty. But it is less than a year old and I had the entire rear component replaced. Now there is a line on the middle of the picture that will not go away. I think they are just selling junk.
