Purchase a Samsung electric range May 2014, used the steam clean option on the stove - the blue surface in the bottom of the stove started chipping. When I called Samsung about the problem I was told if was cosmetic damage and its not covered by Samsung warranty. I asked to speak to a supervisor - was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. I have not received that call as of March 16 2015. I also purchased the entire kitchen package - started hearing a lot noise coming from the back of my French door refrigerator. I was told that they could not set up an appointment for a repair man to come out to check the refrigerator. The noise started 4 months after I purchased the refrigerator. Samsung does not want to fix or take back their defected products. Im going to get my attorney involved with this situation to see if he can put a fire under Samsung.

We purchased our range/oven in October 2018. Not even 3 months later had to have it repaired: the entire control unit was replaced as the controls locked up with food burning in the oven, with oven door locked. Now the oven turns on at random times, and also locking the oven door, and freezing the control unit again. So called Samsung again, and explained that this range/oven is dangerous, as it could burn down the house with my family in it. Their response? Cant exchange it because we have to wait for the second round of repairs. Last time it took at least 3 weeks for the spare parts to arrive, so when asked the Specialty Claim Rep at Samsung, her answer was that if I am afraid of the unit, I should unplug it until fixed. My question is, why would I want a unit replaced when this is systematic issue, and not a unit-specific problem? When asked if Samsung will take full liability for possibly causing property damage or bodily harm, their answer was I can not talk to a supervisor as my case has been already escalated. Which agency is responsible of forcing a manufacturer to recall a dangerous product? And why they are not acting after all those reviews on this site? Indeed, I failed to read these comments, otherwise I would avoided this product line and Samsung altogether... Now I am stuck with a product for a very long time...

Holy **! You spend nearly $3,000 on a refrigerator, and 2 months outside of the standard 12-month warranty, the display goes out. 2 months? Really. The fact that they dont have enough faith in their own products to warranty a $2,800 unit for 24 months is ludicrous. I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. For those of you looking at the stainless steel 4 door fridge, model RF4287HARS, dont waste the money. Id love to see a class action on this.

We were warned by 2 people not to buy Samsung refrigerators because the ice makers were awful. We didnt listen because we needed a certain size and Samsung made them if you ordered it... Loved the refrigerator for the first few months. Then the ice maker started freezing up and we would have to use a hairdryer to defrost it. Then we noticed when you put ice in a cup it would drop water in it. So much you would have to dump it before putting anything in it. Within 2 years the ice maker was dripping water in one of the doors and would freeze in the bottom of the ice tray causing it to freeze up. We finally just pulled the tray out and turned the water off to it. Now we buy a bag of ice and keep it in the bottom freezer. Do not buy this refrigerator unless you want to deal with these kind of problems.

I bought the Samsung French door refrigerator from SEARS in May 2014. Bought the extended warranty. The compressor went out Sept 1 2014, lost my food, had out of town visitors, and a technician wouldnt be there for four days. After 4 days, compressor wont be replaced for another week. Sears wouldnt let me return it (policy is 30 days). Said I had to first suffer more than once then they would think about it; however, 5 employees I spoke with earlier told me I had a $250 food replacement and I would be able to return it because it was the compressor. Sears did not replace my food but gave me a $50 allowance for future food for each of the 2 weeks I am without a refrigerator. I had my last refrigerator - NOT a Samsung through SEARS - for 24 years. Not only has the quality of the appliance gone down but the service is horrendous and the training of employees is dishonest.

Samsung DMT800RHW - Any lawyers out there?? While Samsung is aware of the faulty rack clips that break off within a year and lodge within the internal components, causing circulation pump issues, repairs costing upwards of $300, theyve yet to issue a recall or even come to terms with overwhelming consumer reviews and complaints. Something has to be done to protect the consumers. But what? In addition to the clips are the random error codes, frequent unexplained shut downs (requiring a trip to the circuit breaker), this expensive dishwasher is an ABSOLUTE disappointment. Whats worse is Samsung’s lack of any sort of acknowledgement or regard for consumer satisfaction. There has to be people out there that can help... petition? Lawyer? Lawsuit? Contact me if so. Together we can make a difference.

I purchased a Samsung kitchen package in November of 2018. After being lied to about the availability, I finally received my products. The refrigerator, model RF263TEAESG, is useless. You can only put a single gallon container in this model. We are a household of 2 people and there is no storage ability. I would be in big trouble if I didnt have my 20 year old garage fridge to use also. If you use the door to store items be warned when the shelf breaks at 14 months, Samsung wont do ANYTHING to help you. Its considered cosmetic! $100 to get a new one. I will never buy anything with a Samsung label ever again. Samsung customer service would do nothing, not even an apology for the inconvenience.

The icemaker leaks water onto my floor. When the crushed ice is used some will stay in the tube and melt. This drops down and leaks water. The ice maker has been replaced twice and still does it. Also it freezes up and we have to call a repairman for that. It produced a loud noise at one time and we called a repairman to fix that. We have had 6 or 7 repair calls but since we purchased an extended warranty from Lowes we have not had to pay yet. We have had approximately 4 different companies to work on this product. We are extremely unhappy with the Samsung and do not recommend it to anyone.

Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher.
Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid $200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of $300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, $300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS $800 plus delivery and installation has cost me $500. That is $1300. divided by the times used 30 = $43.33 each times it has been used. WOW!!! Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

We purchased new appliances from Lowes 2 years ago, Dishwasher, Fridge, Range and Micro. We have not had any problems from the range or micro, but had issues with fridge (fan in the freezer). Repair went smooth with Lowes involved. Happy with that. Now we are experiencing the smell that so many have commented about. That being said: What is the solution? So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Maybe if Lowes or Best Buy, or both, discontinue the retail of their product, they might consider improving their customer service. Samsung needs to hire someone that can get your customer service back on track. There are other product names that would love to see sales increases once these go out.

I am not the type to write reviews and complain about products but Samsung has gone beyond my limits with bad products and customer service. I replaced my kitchen appliances with Samsung stainless appliances. My microwave broke and I repaired it once, it was out of warranty and I replaced (less than 2 years old). My oven was heating correctly and now wont heat at all. I looked up the code to troubleshoot (E08) and found it was a common problem with Samsung oven. I called Samsung and was on the phone for 2 hours with no assistance. I contacted Lowes and they were not helpful either. I have an oven that doesnt work- Samsung and Lowes have offered no assistance. I think Samsung believes in purchasing another one. I do not feel like they made a quality product or help consumers to correct issues that were at fault with manufacturer. Very displeased with entire situation, it also takes a lot of time to call and be on hold for hours. I will never purchase Samsung product again.

We are able to cook and entire meal on it with left overs! The controls are easy to understand for the cooktop and oven. If you are in the market for a new stove, you cant go wrong with this one.... Unless someone chose to make it right, which they wont, I would never buy a refrigerator ever again from Samsung. Absolutely, hands down, the worse decision I made. Spent nearly $2,000 and I would have been better off keeping my 20 year old Kenmore that ran very well but was outdated. Ive always used Samsung products, from TVs to phone, however this item rusted within a year (no, no harsh chemicals were ever used and water was quickly dried off). Fan motor went in 2 years. Fan motor was under warranty so no problem, however rusted doors were never covered as they were cosmetic. Samsungs products are purchased precisely for that reason - theyre beautiful. But trust me, they are garbage. Samsung didnt want to make it right - so no more TVs... I am an iPhone guy now... never again until they make it right.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DMT800RHS, S/N A3J7G9MCB02679R, paying just under $1000. After the very first load, it did not clean the dishes. The old dishwasher I had, prior to purchasing the Samsung, performed better! Attempts to get Samsung to replace the dishwasher failed. I have to wash the dishes by hand completely, 100%, before placing in the dishwasher. It gets NOTHING off! Why even have a dishwasher? Im upset because this company should stand behind their product, especially one that is in that price point. Shame on Samsung. Will be replacing this one, and it absolutely bothers me that I made such a costly mistake with a company I thought was reputable.

I bought a Samsung range (model # FE R300SXIX AA) a little over 3 years ago. During the Easter weekend of 2018, I tried to bake a cake. The cake did not get done. The oven did not reach the correct temperature. I called Samsung and a technician was sent to my home within a few days. He could not find anything wrong with the oven. The visit cost $125. I tried to bake something else and it did not get done. I called Samsung again and another technician came to my home. He stated the oven temperature was 100 degrees off the target temperature. He replaced a part and tried the temperature reading again. The temperature was still off the target. The technician said the oven needed a part he did not have with him. Another appointment was made for him to return with the other part. The technician returned several days later with the other part. He replaced the part and said try the oven again because he thought it was repaired. This cost was another $175. After the technician left, I tried baking something again but it did not get done. I called Samsung again and the representative said there was nothing they could do because the warranty had expired. In order to get a partial refund for the range, the technician would have to state the oven was unfixable. I called the technicians office to make an appointment. An appointment was made for him to return a few days later. The technician called my home and stated to my husband he does not know the cause of the problem with the oven but he could return and try several things to repair it. Each thing he tried could cost up to $500 or more. Whats the use of a repair service when they are working in the blind and costing you a lot of money trying different things. I will never buy another Samsung electric range again. The Service and reliability are very unsatisfactory.

Richard repair guy & again problem was lingering around. Last week, we called Samsung & ask for final help before we get rid of the dishwasher. Again, manager does not care for it. I guess Samsung does not care for their customers. We bought brand new dishwasher from P.C. Richard & they will haul this Samsung dishwasher & install the new Whirlpool one. Now onward, we are not buying Samsung or neither our friends.

We bought a Samsung suite of appliances: stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Within the first week or so, there was a burn mark on the door frame on the microwave. We tried to clean it, but it was definitely a burn mark. After a day or so, we noticed the mark getting larger, so we called Lowes, who directed us to Samsung. Samsung took about two weeks, and after many emails and photos sent in to them, they finally sent out a repair tech to look at the issue. The tech also took photos, and stated that the door frame was out of alignment and not flush, and that he could only see this mark growing. He advised not to use the microwave due to stray waves escaping, which were causing the burning on the door frame. We then had to contact customer service repeatedly to obtain a replacement product. Many more calls to coordinate with Lowes, and finally, we went to pick up our unit and found out that what Samsung told us and what Lowes wanted were two different things. Samsung did not send in the right paperwork, so Lowes would not release the replacement unit to us even though we had uninstalled the first one and brought it with us to the Lowes store. Back into the car it went, and more calls and emails.During this series of emails, the Samsung customer service person offered to pay us up to $150 for installation and re-installation of the unit. We followed her directions, and we went to pick up the replacement unit again from Lowes. This time, the exchange went fine. We mailed in the invoices for the uninstall and the re-install, as per instructions. Then the waiting and the follow-up emails started. No reply from any of them. We sent in regular emails over a long period of time. I like the Samsung refrigerator. They can keep the dishwasher, and the stove is just okay. The microwave seems fine now. After this entire experience, I would not recommend any Samsung products to anyone we know, unless they can service them themselves.

We purchased this Samsung Dishwasher in May of 2013 mainly to replace our 15 year old Whirlpool contractors grade dishwasher, even though, it still cleaned my dishes with no problems. It was a breeze to load and the dishes still sparkled after 16 years of use. We were planning a kitchen renovation within the next several months, so we decided to start with the replacement of the ugly, old, but still effective Whirlpool. We went with Samsung because of its reputation as an electronics top brand. Our whole family had Samsung smart phones and TVs and had no complaints. Apparently that is where Samsung should concentrate their efforts. This dishwasher has NEVER properly cleaned our dishware. After 2 + years, Ive yet to find a sensible pattern to place the dishware for cleaning. My Whirlpool was so easy to load. This one is ridiculous. Even following the manufacturers guidelines, the dishes still do not get clean. I will say however, that it is QUIET! You can barely hear it running. I guess it doesnt need to make a lot of noise if its not doing anything productive. I am so disappointed in this $800 purchase. The stainless steel does, or did, look nice when we first got it. Very soon after, the stainless steel became stained, even though I carefully followed manufacturers instructions on cleaning the surface. Shortly after the 1st anniversary of purchase, while wiping down the front of the dishwasher one morning, the entire SAMSUNG lettering came off on my dishcloth. So now, we dont have to be embarrassed that we have a Samsung kitchen appliance. This purchase has not been in vain however, because we now make sure to always read reviews first before making any purchases of large ticket items. BTW, love our LG washer & dryer, still perfect after 8 yrs of use! Really glad we didnt purchase the Samsung refrigerator, we were so sure we wanted. But thats another story!

What a huge disappointment with my less than 3 year old Samsung Fridge!!! And their aftercare service! As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.

I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and thats it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DWs are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, Im out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. I had purchased 556 lit fridge in 2014. First the new fridge was not working. With the help of the retailer I could get it replaced. Now my problem is the fridge part doesn’t cool. The engineers came and changed many parts but the result it will work for 5 to ten days and fail. Me being a techie could find the problem that the defrosting doesnt take place. Now they are telling me that they are ready to give me 54% of the invoice and they will take back my fridge. But when paid 60000/- and works for 2.5 years why should buy from Samsung. Now the quality much worse than the cheapest brand in the market. I had the same problem with washing machine and LED TV. Please dont buy Samsung if you want peace of mind.

I bought my Samsung fridge 5 years ago and it started making horrible noises and then stopped cooling. I called numerous repair companies, 2 stated that they dont work on Samsung/LG and one reported, thats about how long they last. 5 years for a major appliance? The repairman that came out replaced the fan motor, but I have had more problems since the $400 motor was replaced. Fridge is still not cooling; which was my original complaint. Customer service sucks. Dont buy a Samsung appliance!

My fridge was less than a year old when it started to give me problems. Its a defective fridge. It’s been 2 weeks with no fridge and they won’t refund your full money back! My child can’t put her medication anywhere and I explained that to Samsung and they said it’s not their problem. Oliver and Ingrid were so harsh about the situation And I explained my child could die and nothing is being done. They haven’t picked up my old fridge and until they have my old fridge I won’t get any money for A new fridge. Please people don’t ever go through what I’m going through. I can’t even afford to buy a new fridge until they send for my old one and and they get the fridge I have to wait 17-20 business days for my check.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in 2010. In late 2012 I noticed a little rust at the bottom of the water/ice dispenser. I thought at first It was externally caused. When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.

I contacted Samsung about how to take the glass out of the cover for the veg. and fruit bins. The tech told me to look at the manual, which I went to on the internet. He said it was on page 11, so I scroll down to page 11. I dont see it, he says he meant page 10. I go there. Its not there. Then he says Go to page 33, so I scroll down to page 33, which is no help. Then he gives me a confirmation no. The person tell me she wipes up her spills right away. I tell her that is not the problem, the liquid got between the edge of the glass and the plastic. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. When you put your glass under the spout for crushed or reg. ice, the ice keeps coming and goes on the floor. I guess you can see I am an unsatisfied customer. If you know a way to remove the glass, please let me know, since I cannot afford another refrigerator. Thank you.

Went with Samsung given what we thought was a strong brand name, and the fact that the microwave had a sleek contemporary look. After just over a year the vent fan or light will spontaneously kick on. At the same time, the touchpad controls will not respond. We have to wash and basically polish the control panel - which runs along the bottom of the door, in order to regain control of the unit. And just for the record, the door can be spotlessly clean and it will still happen. And as the last couple of months have shown, the incidents are increasing in frequency. Also, if there is any time remaining after use (and no one clears the settings), the microwave will sporadically start to run. Imagine being in bed and having your microwave turn on - or the fan burst on. After reading other reviews I do not feel encouraged to call Samsung and unfortunately I will seek replacement with another manufacturer.

We bought this Samsung 4-door French refrigerator ($2200) in July of 2010, so weve had it only about 36 months. Today we noticed everything in the freezer was thawed, but thought maybe we somehow left the freezer drawer ajar. By 4 hours later there was water everywhere and the ice maker leaked into the fridge section. Now weve emptied it completely, trying to salvage some of the frozen meat but lost all other frozen stuff which had gone to melt stage. We now realize it hasnt been coming on at all, so something obviously happened. Hubby pulled it out and didnt notice anything, but after reading all these posts, I think were facing the same thing - which is that new appliances are unreliable poor Quality. My parents had their fridges for 37 years. No exaggerating. What is wrong with this picture?

We purchased a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator from Home Depot in May 2014 for $3,100.00 and paid an additional fee for a (4) four-year extended warranty from Home Depot. Samsung only offers a (1) one-year manufacturers warranty. Our first repair service call was with SAMSUNG on June 2014 for a defective ice maker that needed replacement and was subsequently replaced. Our next service call was December 2014, due to a failed ice maker AGAIN. Our third repair service call was in December 2015, the ice maker wasnt making ice consistently and it was also making CRUSHED ICE in the CUBE MODE, and water DRIPS was constantly falling from the ice bin down into the cup dispenser and rolling down the front of the stainless steel refrigerator constantly staining it. The ice maker also began a HUMMING NOISE. The repair service rep said the ice blades in the ice bin were weak and causing the CRUSHED ICE. He said this was a Samsung DESIGN FLAW that cant be fixed. WE paid good money for this SAMSUNG product and all we got was repeated problems and customer service delays. Now Home Depot refuses to honor their (4) four-year EXTENDED WARRANTY. We are demanding replacement of this SAMSUNG refrigerator for another MORE RELIABLE UNIT. If this is the so-called quality of a Top-of-the-Line SAMSUNG refrigerator, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

Bought a Samsung french door refrigerator from Home Depot in Sept 2014, model RF263BEAESR. Ice maker promptly froze over and ice making stopped. Customer service told us to turn off the ice maker, let it defrost and it would start working. This was true but then it froze over again, and again. In Jan 2015, Samsung authorized repair service, Charika Appliance Repair of Inverness, FL came out to install a new ice maker unit. They punctured the sealed coolant system and the refrigerator stopped working!! Samsung offered to exchange the broken refrigerator with the same model or a refund. On Jan 10, 2015, I emailed Samsung the Home Depot invoice and register receipt, and on Jan 11th a list of spoiled food. We were told that a refund was in process and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours by the refund department. Today, Jan 20th, I called for a refund status and they had not started it yet. They DO NOT refund the $105 sales tax we paid, even though the Home Depot receipt says FULL REFUND. They also DO NOT refund over $250 for spoiled food. BEWARE OF SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! They are a piece of GARBAGE. Their customer service department is terrible.

We purchased a Samsung fridge model number RF217ACRS on September 19th 2010
We purchased a Samsung fridge model number RF217ACRS on September 19th 2010 from Sears outlet in Connecticut. We have three very small children: a 4-year old, 14-month old and a 2-month old. This past weekend my daughter was getting ice out of the freezer. My 14-month old son walked over to the side. She shut the freezer and my son let out this blood curdling scream. My husband scooped him up and there was blood everywhere. We realized something serious had happened. His finger tip had been cut off. We had to get his finger tip out of the side rail and rush him to the E.R. where he was then transported to the childrens hospital to reattach his finger tip. Unfortunately, his little finger was so small that they could not attach it. It was cut off clean at the joint above his knuckle. His little hand is maimed. It will never look normal. It was incredibly traumatizing for my husband and I. In a million years, we would never think a freezer drawer would pose as a danger in amputating a finger. This is beyond a faulty product. This is encompassing design flaw as well.

First the reason for my review is to warn consumers about a Samsung refrigerator and I dont want them to make the same mistake that I made. If I could do it all over again, I would have kept my old refrigerator or got a different brand. I bought this mess of a refrigerator in September 2013. I bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1500.00 and a 5-year warranty with it. I am so glad I did because it’s been problems every since I had it. I had a technician come out to replace different parts on this refrigerator at least 3 times since 2013. The ice maker keeps messing up and not producing ice. If you leave the door open for at least 15 minutes then close the door, it won’t produce ice. The water freezes up and it won’t produce ice either. I hate I even bought this freakin Samsung refrigerator. After my warranty is up, I will sell it and get another refrigerator. The only reason why I am keeping it is because it is still up under warranty. I will not be able to afford for a technician to keep coming out after the warranty has expired. Damn you Samsung and the people who put this refrigerator together. If I could shove this refrigerator up their butt, I would. Please, Im begging the consumers, DONT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

Technician said there is literally no other parts to replace. Yet Samsung says too bad. If its deemed ineffective they will prorate the machine for reimbursement. At this point, its pennies. I think we should all band together and file a class action lawsuit against them. We all work hard for our money, and for them to provide a misleading, ineffective machine is awful. We have had two awful experiences with Samsung. We bought our first Samsung French door fridge in 2016 and sometime while it was still under warranty I noticed the bottom of the left door was not sealing when it shut. Samsung didnt have any authorized service technicians in our area so they couldnt fix it. They told us we had to literally cut the cord and send them a picture of it so that we wouldnt be able to sell it or give it to someone else to keep using it. I told them I couldnt cut the cord as its the only fridge we have and we gotta store food somewhere. They finally gave in and paid us the value of the fridge. Which we then took and per the agreement with Samsung, we had to buy another Samsung fridge, went to an authorized Samsung dealer that said he serves our area and bought a different model: RF28JBEDBSG/AA/08. It worked great for a year or so until the warranty ran out and thats when we started having issues with the ice maker. It completely froze over, started leaking water out the hole when we tried getting ice and just completely stopped making ice. We called the dealer we had bought it from, they sent out their technicians to repair it and they like just some kids off the street who didnt have any training on such repairs. They took apart the ice maker and used a hair dryer to melt the iced over ice auger motor and ice maker assembly. While they were in the process of melting the ice inside the ice maker cabinet they heated it up too much, buckling the inside of the cabinet and melting a plastic tab up top at the back end of where the ice maker sits when its installed. So now the ice maker doesnt fit correctly. The technicians said they caulked the inside of the cabinet all the way around to seal it, but I could still see light coming through all along the left side. Couldnt really feel or see any caulk along the edge anywhere. They charged around $100 for this #repair! This only lasted for about 3-4 weeks and then started freezing up again. I called them again and they said theyd order us a replacement auger motor and ice maker for around $211. I brought it home and took apart my ice maker to replace it with the new parts they had just sold me. After all that hassle of taking it apart I find that they gave me the wrong ice maker! It was completely wrong. Way too short. I took it back and they gave me the right model ice maker. I then took apart my ice maker a second time and was able to replace it. This again only worked for a few weeks and then also started freezing over and doing what the original ice maker had done. Ever since Ive had to shut off the fridge, take the ice maker apart and thaw the whole ice maker and auger about every month and a half or two months. Ive contacted Samsung multiple times and they only tell me that its out of warranty, try to send out the same Samsung authorized shops technicians to #repair it (which I refuse to let this shop ever touch my appliances again since they screwed me over every time Ive dealt with them) or they give me a phone number to call Samsung to order parts to fix the ice maker. I am not spending any more of my own money on this piece of garbage and will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

I bought over the range microwave in September 2008 for about $300.00. Immediately, the latch was broken and needed fixing, that was covered. Now its running normally, making a slightly different noise when on but not heating anymore. I called Samsung, was referred to a repair company, but they never came for the appointment and have made no attempt to re-schedule.I have called them several times and no calls back. I try to find out if replacing it would be better. My first microwave lasted 20 years, this, less than 2.5 years. Samsung makes junk and does not stand behind their junk. We purchased the WaterWall dishwasher, three rack on March 22/2016. But we did not have it delivered until mid May because we didn’t move into our house until then. We actually paid 999.00 for it. Up until 6 weeks ago we had no problems with it. We are a retired couple with no children in our home. I would load and use the dishwasher about every 2-3 days. Being only two of us, it wasn’t over worked at all. The Famous 7 E code came to our attention. Not knowing a whole lot about the dishwasher I contacted Samsung and basically got told, I had no warranty. To make matters worse I live 3.5 hours from a appliance repair company. Knowing we could not afford a call out fee for someone to travel to and from our home never mind the cost of the repair, we decided after reading so many complaints about this model we would buy a different brand. It would be cheaper in the long run. My only concern is that if youre going to buy a major appliance. Do your homework and look it up on the reviews. I wish I had done mine and I definitely wouldn’t have bought this machine.

RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. I had to buy a new washer and dryer and decided it was time to stop giving loyalty to a company that in my opinion, makes things to break. Stick with Samsung TVs, skip the appliance.

All froze up and leaks down from of our refrigerator. It is such an inconvenience, to have to fill ice trays and break our own ice. Having the drawer for a freezer is hard to place ice trays and it takes up space to store the ice we made. I called Samsung and they are denying any issues with their icemakers. We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

Before Thanksgiving, the freezer stopped working. I had to throw out hundreds of dollars of food. I called in a service repair person. The first repair guy said he could not fix it. Our home owners warranty company called in Sears repair and they fixed it. Now 3 1/2 months later, the same thing is happening, this refrigerator is defective. I again had to throw out hundreds of dollars of food. I called Samsung. They said, Sorry, we will send a repair person but you will have to pay for service call and parts. I said unacceptable. Samsung should stand by their products, this refrigerator is obviously defective. Do not buy Samsung, very poor customer service!!!!

Model #: RF261BEAEBC/AA (French Door, Freezer on Bottom, NO ice or water dispensers in the door). I have had to call Samsung services and repair four (4) times for my Samsung Refrigerator in the first thirteen (13) months of operation. Every call has been about the ice maker. I escalated this recurring issue to the executive review board (or whatever they call it) stating that I must have a defective refrigerator (or least a defective ice maker). I said they need to address this issue by replacing the whole refrigerator or issue a recall of some parts or something because this is just not acceptable. The response I got back from Samsung is that this is not cause for any special consideration and that normal repair and service should continue. Their response is what really bothers me. I mean I fully understand that if you make thousands of appliances (or cars or whatever), there will be a couple that will be defective. I have no problem with that - just own up to it and resolve the issue for good. I also understand that no matter how much you test sometimes things can be missed. I have had cars recalled for certain issues, you take your car to the dealer, they resolve the issue (no cost to you) and all is good. I mean it is very weird for them to think that four (4) service requests in first thirteen (13) months of operation is not cause for alarm or at least a closer inspection.I actually talked to the last repairman that came out to fix the problem. He said that he sees a lot of repairs on certain models of Samsung Refrigerators that was/is related to frozen water line for the ice makers. So much so that Samsung did a recall and replaced the heating element (or whatever) to keep ice from forming in water line to the ice maker. He said it was a different model than mine and hence no recall for my specific model number.I suspect that this is the issue for me as well, as water is not making it to the ice tray. I could be wrong though and freely admit something else could be the issue. With this type of customer service, it will make me seriously consider any Samsung products in the future. I am not upset so much with an appliance that has issues. Hey, I dont like it and wish otherwise, but the stick-my-head-in-the-sand-and-hope-this-goes-away attitude from Samsung is really bothersome.

This microwave (model SMH1816S) started by itself yesterday, and the entire unit was too hot to touch within 2-3 minutes. I pressed every on/off button, plus all the other buttons, and nothing turned it off. Since this is an over-the-range unit, the only way I could stop it was to turn off the circuit breaker. Im positive this would have started a fire in my kitchen, which could have burned down my entire 8-unit condo building. Fortunately I was at home. I called Samsung repair this morning, but since the machine is out of warranty, the only thing they will do is send an authorized repair representative - at my expense. The machine is six years old, so Im not going to pay for even a service call. My old microwave was more than ten years old and still worked when I bought what I thought was a good microwave. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance.

We purchased the Samsung Microwave brand new less than 18 months ago. Installation was done professionally and we experienced no initial issues, however, one evening out of nowhere we began to smell burning plastic coming from the kitchen. Upon further inspection, the Samsung Microwave was smoking, heating up and began smoldering. The microwave was plugged into an outlet and hung above the stove but not in use when the incident occurred. No electrical issues from the power lines or outlet itself. Fire department advised it was caused by the Microwave. Glad we were home otherwise the entire house would be up in flames from the microwave spontaneously combusting. Would not recommend, stay away!!

I had a very bad experience with all of my home appliances. All Samsung especially, fridge and washing machine. I bought all my new house appliances from Samsung just only a year ago and now the washer and fridge are completely broken. Samsung customer service sent to my house a technician who came to fix it 4 times. Each time he said I have to change a certain part of washing machine. He has replaced everything in washer (board - hose - door assembly - filters) and finally he said, It’s manufacturing problem and you have to ask Samsung customer service to replace it or compensate you, but now and after 2 months of suffering with them, they refused and they want to try again to fix it. The customer service said, This is our policy to try many times. I can’t believe myself. It is a bad system for bad company. I do not advise anyone to deal with this deceptive company.

My side-by-side Samsung refrigerator, model RS265TDRS, was purchased in December 2010, so its about 3.5 years old. Very expensive unit. It started making noise sounding like a generator - so loud, I was afraid something was breaking in there. When I opened the refrigerator door it would stop, then start again when the door was closed. We moved the food into another refrigerator and freezer, unplugged this unit, and made arrangements with Samsung for a service call. (That itself was an adventure: Samsung rep never responded to email; the phone number in the refrigerator manual was for mobile phone service; the online form for a service request didnt work under several browsers. Finally used live chat and had the chat rep fill out the service request for me.)Two weeks later, I plugged in the unit in preparation for the service techs visit. No noise. The service tech called me to confirm the appointment, then suggested we cancel the service call, because (a) with no noise, he cant really diagnose a problem; (b) chances are it was just ice build-up and may never happen again; (c) removing the panel to get at the fan means removing all tech, because everything is attached to the panel, and that means replacing the panel because you cant just put it back on after its been taken off; and (d) something like his labor and the panel wouldnt be covered by warranty anyway after 3.5 years. These are expensive refrigerators. I like lots of things about it, but I think its ridiculous that I should have to unplug my refrigerator every now and then to make sure ice doesnt build up, and its ridiculous that this problem wouldnt be covered under a warranty. For anyone who has the same fan-sounds-like-a-generator problem, unplug it for a while and save yourself the hassle of getting in touch with Samsung. Im really hoping this solves the problem.

When we moved we put in all new appliances... The dishwasher has had repair out twice... French door refrigerator once along with the washing machine that doesn’t drain properly, and as a consequence, smells bad and has to constantly be drained from the bottom making a terrible mess because of the way the drainage is set up. Right now my dishwasher is again having a problem and keeps turning itself off. I can find no leak. I will have to spend another $150 for repair to come out again. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance. They should stick to smartphones. In 53 years of marriage, never had a problem with a KitchenAid or Bosch... Should have stuck with what I know.

I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016
I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016 and had problems with the freezer drawer almost immediately. The drawer would not open completely unless you tugged on it multiple times so I contacted Samsung and was summarily dismissed by the first person with whom I came in contact. I was told by this person that the drawer only opens a few inches and that I would basically have to live with the situation. The second person I called tried to get me to be the service technician and suggested numerous things that I could do to try and remedy the problem. I told him that I did not have the time nor the inclination to play service technician and that since the unit was new I expected Samsung to send a technician to take care of the issue. They sent someone from Service Quick who decided the drawer gasket was bad and it was allowing air into the freezer causing frost to build up on the rails thus preventing the drawer from opening completely. The gasket was replaced and the next day the drawer was just as bad as it had been prior to the service call. I made another call to Samsung and the second time two technicians arrived and they decided the rails were bad and replaced both rails. The following day the drawer was even worse than before and it was difficult to open and close. The third and final service call two technicians arrived and one tested the gasket for air leaks and the other used a steamer on just one of the rails (why only one I do not know). These idiots told me there were no air leaks but I needed to wipe the door gasket off at least once or twice a week! Finally I contacted Samsung again and they wanted to send another technician from another company to assess the situation and I refused. I told them that since the refrigerator was new and they could not resolve the issue after three tries I wanted them to consider another way to resolve the matter. Samsung decided they would refund my money, however it has been two weeks since I provided them with the information they requested in order to process the refund and I have yet to get a response to my e-mail inquiring about the status of the matter. I decided to call the Samsung refund and exchanges department and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. While I was on hold 6 PM rolled around and due to the fact that department closes at 6 PM a recorded message came on and said they could not take my call and that I should call back during regular business hours. We have many Samsung products in our household and, fortunately have never needed service on any of them, until the refrigerator. Now I have experienced the abysmal service from Samsung I will never recommend nor will I ever purchase another Samsung product! Samsung cares nothing about the customer as evidenced by the dismal service they provide. My recommendation is to boycott Samsung and buy products from companies that will service what they sell and respond to the customer in a timely and efficient manner!

After the unit finishes a cooking cycle the LED Panel clears itself out, wipes out the memory settings including the clock and takes 5 to 10 retries to reset it. The reason for this review is to alert purchasers to the problems associate
The reason for this review is to alert purchasers to the problems associated with the Samsung dishwasher, and to the importance of selecting a reputable appliance sales company. In October 2016, my wife and I purchased a Samsung Appliance package from Bill Smith Appliances in Fort Myers Florida. Shortly thereafter, we began having problems with the dishwasher. I had researched the brand, and was already aware of draining and pump problems with the dishwasher, but was informed that the new model dishwasher was fixed. After repeated problems with the unit, a detailed search on this website confirmed that there were recurring problems with draining, and flooding of these dishwashers, and one caught fire causing thousands of dollars in home damage, as did the flooding issues. Two other units had circuit board electrical shorts, and one retailer was advising his customers to avoid the Samsung dishwasher. Because of the fire and recurring flooding issues, despite the fact that the unit was still under warranty, we decided we would not have a potential fire situation in our home. We would replace the unit rather than have it repaired under warranty.I explained these issues to the Vice President of Bill Smith Appliances in an email, and almost immediately received a response: Although our dishwasher was beyond the 30 day 100 percent return policy, the company would accept its return for a reasonable restocking fee, and apply all sales incentives to a replacement unit should we decide to purchase another dishwasher from Bill Smith. While the product probably could not have been of more concern, the benefit of having done business with an entirely reputable appliance dealer was phenomenal. What is also phenomenal is the CONSUMERAFFAIRS.Com website, where folks can post their experiences, the good and the bad, and the service and attention to customer experience that one appliance retailer extended to us.

We purchased Samsung Model RS277AC April 2010 for $1500.00. July 2014 the bottom freezer drawer was hard to pull out and we realized it was stuck by a build up of ice under it. Kept getting more and more ice so we called Samsung they recommended we call Consolidated Electronics on September 24, 2014. Service man told us he knew what the problem was when we told him about the bottom drawer frozen to bottom. Charged $149.00 for a 5 minute visit. He would have to order the heater element and it would cost $30. He said that the heater element touches the inside of the back panel and this will happen again because of a design flaw with the back panel and Samsung has corrected it on the new models! Came back with the heater and said did not need it and defrosted the freezer, put it back together and charged us another $45.00 and within three hours there was a build up of ice in the bottom of the freezer so we cannot use the drawer for storage. I purchased a Samsung convection range/oven on 5/30/2014 from Best Buy for $770. I dont do a great deal of baking, but mostly casseroles, meats, etc. I believe baking cakes or cookies would have tipped me off earlier that the oven wasnt heating right. Over the last few months I noticed that it was taking much longer than usual for the food to cook. One evening when I opened the door to pull out a chicken casserole, the chicken was raw inside and the rice was crunchy. The oven was set at 400 degrees but I could hold my hand in the oven and it only felt warm. I am going to buy a new oven and you can be sure it wont be a Samsung. I adjusted the temperature but did not notice any other on-going issues.Fall 2013, I noticed the ice maker stopped working and my frozen foods were no longer frozen. We bought a Samsung dishwasher (Model # DW80K705045) in March 2017 from Lowes, after 15 years with a Bosch. Looking back now we should have done our research. We would have seen all the bad reviews. Christmas Eve the dishwasher went into failure mode. “Leak in System”. Within a few days the dishwasher worked again but 3 days later the same thing happened. It took 12 days for a repairman to come and determine the problem. We were told it would be a huge job that required a full day, the dishwasher motor would have to be rebuilt on my kitchen floor, and no guarantees that the repair would work. This repair will require my husband to take a day off from work. Fast forward to 3/20 and we still do not have the part. According to Lowe’s the part has been in for 2 weeks now and we have not been able to schedule a repair. We are unable to use a different repair company because this is the one Lowe’s contracts out to. The dishwasher can only be run with few dishes and on short cycle. We don’t know when it will go out again. Numerous calls to Lowe’s and Samsung have gone nowhere. Neither company will back up the product. Samsung will not replace the dishwasher until 2 attempts to fix it have been made. Lowes won’t offer a refund because we have to go through Warranty service for the first year of owning the product. The Warranty is through Samsung. Totally disgusted and frustrated.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

Samsung is selling DEFECTIVE refrigerators. They have known about it since 2007 and they continue to sell defective fridges. They should have done a recall long ago. My Samsung refrigerator ices up and leaks water under the crisper. Samsung gives customers the run-around. Terrible and dishonorable service.

Last month, I noticed the drinks werent cool, the vegetables started to wilt, and finally, the ice maker quit working on my less than 3-year-old Samsung French door refrigerator. I called Samsung and was switched from one person to another, telling my whole story over and over. Eventually, they gave me someone in Dallas who said they couldnt get anyone to come to my house for three days. I threw away all food, waited for the serviceman, and when he finally got here, was told the fan to the compressor was not working, but he did not have the part. I was charged $180 for his visit. He said he had to order the part and would try to be back Monday, another 3 days away. Monday he said the part wasnt in. Tuesday, the part wasnt in. Wednesday, the part FINALLY arrived and he came back and replaced the fan. Then, amazingly, that didnt work either. Now he said he had to replace the whole motherboard and I had to pay for both parts. After spending almost $500, I now had a refrigerator and freezer again after over 10 days. I am so upset. I saved for years to buy a new frig, spent a ton of money to buy it, and loved the new one until this happened. I thought they would do the right thing by at least coming quickly and making the repairs in a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost, but I was wrong. No more Samsung products for me no matter what.

How hard could it be to get a repairman for a refrigerator bought less than two days earlier. Ice maker would leak even with water shut off and ice maker turned off. Pacific Sales had said they had not had a proper working refrigerator of Samsung in three months. Is there a recall for their refrigerators?
