We bought our Samsung Refrigerator less than 2 years ago and we have had problem with the refrigerator since. Constantly having to defrost the unit manually because it freezes up and finally, 3 weeks ago we starting having a noxious burning smell come from fridge. Although Samsung did extend our warranty past the 12 months, since we have had multiple issues, they could not find the root of the smell after 2 service calls. The last service rep called Samsung and they said that their refrigerators do not emit smells. Well according to both of the service reps, it certainly did. The last one said it even left a bad taste in his mouth after working in the fridge for a little while. A $2000+ refrigerator that didnt even last 2 years. Trust me, dont risk your money on a Samsung.

DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! Consumer Alert - Do Not Buy Samsung Kitchen Appliances. In 2017, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator, Range, Microwave and Dishwasher. 3 years later, all but the range have required repair two or more times! Our dishwasher has been out service for nearly 8 weeks now. JCPenneys is gone, Asurion Warranty won’t replace it because it’s a service warranty only. A&E Factory Service kept us waiting all day, showed up at 6pm to tell us that the technician that was here two weeks ago was wrong; we need a different part and they can’t come back for 17 more days! Calling A&E’s “Customer Service” connects you to some foreign country and a rep that reads to you off a scripted cue card and suggests you should use the website for ‘better service’! May I repeat.... DON’T BUY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES!

I bought a Samsung side by side refrigerator from Costco 4 years ago. A week ago there was this loud motor noise coming off it. Then a few days later the digital display of the fridge started blinking and the refrigerator side was warm. Called Samsung, customer service very rude and just told out of warranty so no help from them. Thank God I bought it from Costco. Called them and explained my problem. Sure enough Costco just said return the item and they will refund me the cost. I will never buy a Samsung product ever again!!!!! I should have checked this site first.

I purchased a (expensive) Samsung Fridge at Home Depot and after 1 month of having the fridge there are small rust spots all over the front of the fridge. When I called Samsung support they said its a cosmetic issue and not covered under the warranty. They said it could be caused by prolonged exposure to moisture (Ive had it for a month) or an abrasive cleaner was possibly used. The only cleaner that has been used was warm water and dish soap one time and a mixture of vinegar and water one time. Samsung refuses to stand by their product and Home Depot says the issue needs to be handled with Samsung.

I bought a brand new condo with brand new appliances in April 2013. My Samsung freezer broke down twice within the first six months. Samsung sent Totem Appliance to repair problem. A couple of weeks after the one year warranty expired, the same problem occurred. Now Samsung is refusing to fix the problem. I am shocked to know that Samsung is refusing to deal with this recurring breakdown in the freezer. The food thaws completely and then freezes again. I expect Samsung to stand behind their product. It is expensive to replace a refrigerator. It is only one year old. Model# RF197ACRS, Serial #y4d24adc500767b.

#1. Ice maker froze up. From internet, learned this is a common defect. Had to trim plastic parts and dismantle ice maker to fix. #2. Very difficult to clean shelves and drawers. Gunk gets under glass and inside (!) of drawer fronts. You have to use a screwdriver to pry open plastic tabs. The prying process tends to chip the plastic permanently damaging the pieces. Other than these major design flaws, the refrigerator has kept food well. But being able to clean ones refrigerator easily without damaging it is such a basic critical design feature for me that I will steer me away from Samsung products in the future.

This model of microwave SHM9187 has a ribbon cable on the right hand side where the control assembly fits on the frame that picks up a signal from the frame that causes erroneous signals to be sent along one of the wires. It overloads the CPU and the result is a SE code and the machine shuts down. You need to put electrical tape over the entire surface of that ribbon cable that touches the frame in order to sufficiently insulate the cable. The repair is simple. Undo the two screws on top of the machine above the door. Pop the vent assembly to the left about an inch. Wiggle it off. Open the microwave door. Next there is one screw on the control assembly (right side of machine) at the top edge. Take it out. Pop the assembly from the bottom and push up about a half inch. Lift top of assembly away and rotate out. The ribbon cable in on the right hand side. You should unplug the microwave. When you reverse assemble everything and plug in the microwave, you are back to normal operation. Do the clock set and be happy.

I bought a Samsung microwave (next to top of the line) and within a year it would not heat. The store I bought it at graciously replaced it. I added money to it and purchased the top of the line one - again a Samsung. In January the door bracket broke and my husband and I spent a day finding the right bracket on the internet. It was a $10 part and after finding schematics on the internet on how to replace it he was able to replace it. Otherwise it would have been at least a $125 repair call. It will be 2 years in July since we purchased this top of the line Samsung microwave and this one is not working. I detected a burning wire smell this morning in my kitchen and could not figure out where it was coming from till I opened my microwave to heat my tea and the light did not come on and the control panel was not lit. Thats when I realized that the burning wire smell was coming from the microwave. Really? Two Samsung microwaves within 3 years. I have sent Samsung an email asking for some kind of financial reimbursement to purchase another microwave because I will never purchase another Samsung microwave. I doubt that a reimbursement is going to happen. But I will keep all of you in the loop.

I purchased a Samsung stove, microwave, and refrigerator with a bottom freezer. The fans kept getting louder, so we called Samsung, who would only refer us to a repair person. Even though the back of the refrigerator is sealed, and the warranty says it covers sealed parts, we were told that it didnt include the fans. We were referred to a repair company and were told it would cost us approximately $375 to repair. We looked at reviews on this website and became extremely upset. Not only is this a common defect for this refrigerator, repairs have failed, having the same problem reappear. Why cant something be done to protect the consumer. I will never buy another Samsung product, plus I read that Samsung is owned by Maytag. What do we do? Weve purchased many, many items at Lowes, where we bought these items. You would think they would stand behind their product, but no, they only sell them.

I had a bad experience with one of those Samsung single/double compartment ovens, the spaces are too small. They contained too much moisture when roasting joints of meat, they wouldnt listen to my complaints. It was only until the bottom of the oven went rusty that l got my money back. The condensation from the moisture in the meat, was actually hot steam, so after sealing the meat the steam would then tighten the meat so the only way to get it tender would be to cook low and slow. I might have well just thrown the lamb leg into a pot of boiling water.

2014 I purchased model RF217ACRS refrigerator from Sears. Went well until I had problem when the freezer defrosted and lost all my food. Called Samsung and they gave me a company to come out. They came out and recharged the unit. Okay for a couple weeks and put dye to see if there was anymore leaks and to seal any leaks. About three weeks later freezer went to 57 degrees. I called and rep came out. He pulled lower freezer panel and he asked me when I replaced the coils. I told him it was a new fridge and only purchased in February of 2014. So as I see it I purchased a reconditioned fridge from Sears at full price. Still waiting to see what they are doing to do. I also made purchases of a stove and dishwasher at the same time. Took picture of the reconditioned coil also.

I purchased a new refrigerator in June of 2016. The refrigerator was on back order and was received on July 2016, 1 month later. Purchased online from Best Buy. In December 2016 the refrigerator side stopped working. Called Samsung, ticket made, service ticket created, local repair sent to review. Tech said parts were needed and has received numerous calls on same issue. Fans seized and no cooling. When I purchased this refrigerator I felt it was to be a good 10 to 15 years before I would have any problems. My last fridge was a hand-me-down Frigidaire from my mom but felt I would go to a more futuristic appliance with bells and whistles. I was wrong. I have since lost over $400 dollars in spoiled groceries. I cannot use it because it does not cool. Lights are ice. I keep calling Best Buy and Samsung, and get the runaround. Samsung, ticket still open, parts in limbo. Best Buy wont accept it back since its past 45 days of original purchase. I still owe $1,200.00 on a $1,650.00 fridge.I wish I would have checked more reviews on these Samsung appliances. This is to warn others of what can happen to you if you do get such an appliance. Also to point out how Best Buy and Samsung support DEFECTIVE appliances. Samsung thumbs down. Sorry cant help you, is the answer. Best Buy thumbs down. Sorry not our problem after 45 days. Pay 3 times for service and maybe we replace it. Very disappointed with Best Buy on this enigma. Will hashtag this on Twitter and Facebook until I finish paying for it, and hopefully help some other sap from making the wrong purchase, and where NOT to purchase this item with no support or lemon law for defective products that should last at a minimal 5 to 10 years. Very disappointed.

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue
There is a serious engineering flaw in the Samsung Refrigerators. The issue is that the refrigerator will ice up creating a huge ice jam in back of the refrigerator. It starts with water flowing down the back and into the crispers. That water freezes inside of the refrigerator causing a huge ice jam to create behind the back plastic covering inside of the refrigerator. This has been reported to be a widespread issue. All that you need to do is look up Samsung Refrigerator Issue on the internet. There are many individuals trying to provide so-called, remedies. However you cannot fix a poor design and the issue amounts to individuals having to defrost their refrigerator every couple months. Also water builds up inside. The internal temperature fluctuates thus causing food spoilage. Additionally the catch basin underneath will overflow with water causing damage to floors. Samsung appears to turn their back on this issue, even though it is widely reported. The issue starts after about the first or second year of ownership.

Our model RF217ACBP refrigerator, purchased from Sears, has worked well except that it has developed a problem with water accumulating in the right crisper drawer. This is a french door model, with a bottom freezer compartment and dual evaporators. I suspect the problem is a plugged or frozen drain, but have not yet located the problem. Other than the fact that we cannot use one of the crisper, the refrigerator works well.

We were in immediate need of a new refrigerator when we moved into our new home back in 2015. I regret not reading reviews, but I assumed that Samsung was a reputable company, and weve been pleased with our Samsung televisions (we have 6) so I purchased this $3000 refrigerator based on how it looked. The icemaker was problematic from the beginning. At first it just took a long time for ice to dispense and cubed ice never really came out cubed. Then I started noticing ice build-up underneath the crisper drawers. Then the icemaker stopped working because it froze up.I called Samsung and they asked if I had an extended warranty. Basically, they did not offer any remedies although they acknowledged that this is a known problem. So repair would be at my cost although this is a manufacturer defect. We planned to replace all our appliances with Samsung units, but I will never purchase another Samsung appliance because they obviously do not stand behind their products. Im very disappointed.

Dishwasher worked great for 6 months or so. Much quieter than previous dishwasher. Loved the extra space on the top rack. Samsung Dishwasher DW80F800UWS. Started intermittently displaying OE error code. We would try again, shake things, etc. Eventually it would run. Now, it consistently fails, having tried 10+ times in a row. I opened things up and clean parts and reassembled it. I tried what I thought was the most vigorous setting... pots and pans with storm wash. Failed within a minute. I took out all the dishes and racks. Now... it works. Bottom rack. Works fine. Top rack... fails.Experimenting a bit, it fails when the water first attempts to spray out the top rack. That nozzle at the back of the dishwasher hooks into the spinning bit on the bottom of the top rack. I cleaned and rinsed it with vinegar to remove any build up. Still fails. Of course I let it all dry and tried again. Now it fails and the top part is still dry. I smack the side of it a few times and now its sort of working again. No telling how long until it fails again. It is so aggravating.

My dishwasher would not use the dishwasher packets I was using to wash the dishes. The soap dish flap would open, but the packet would not be used. I call Samsung and their support is the WORST! I got a guy that spoke poor English and probably never saw a dishwasher before. I told him the problem and he told me to clean the dispenser and turn off the circuit breaker. It was a TOTAL waste of time. He asked for the serial number and I gave it to him 3, (YES THREE TIMES), then he told me he was not paying attention when I gave him the number. Then he wanted to know the service provider of my cell phone. What has that got to do with the dishwasher, but he said he needed it. At that point, I knew that Samsung support people were brain dead and I just hung up. I already spend too MUCH time trying to explain the problem and another 4 hours with their support would not have made a difference. I do plan to get rid of my Samsung dishwasher and go back to my Whirlpool. I had a Whirlpool for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem with it. I replaced it because we decided to redo our Kitchen with Stainless appliances and we went with a few Samsung appliances. Now I will never buy Samsung appliances again. My recommendation is if you buy Samsung and need any support you are hosed! You will spend a lot of time on the phone with a moron that does not even know his products and wont know nor care what your problem is. He will read from a list of trouble shooting guides, which may be totally irrelevant to your specific problem. (i.e. your car wont start and the guy tells you to change the tire). One more thing, I asked the support guy for an order number and he told me he got an error code on his computer and could not give it to me. STAY, make that RUN, AWAY from this company!

We have had our Samsung french door bottom freezer with middle drawer model RF28HMEDBSRAA refrigerator for only 2 years. The ice maker has ruined this refrigerator. This will make a 2nd time in replacement. It continues to freeze up and not work until you try to chip away ice and hope it will then continue to work. UPDATE July 11, 2019 Add me to the long list of folks with NO SOLUTION for freezer not cooling. I actually purchased this model on Jun 14, 2014. Freezer started to fail on July 1, 2019, literally two days after my Lowes 5 year extended warrantee expired on June 29th! Had a Samsung Certified tech come out on July 5th and tell me the problem was the compressor which was working overtime and pulling excessive amps. I took that initial diagnosis and called Samsung Customer Service. They said warrantee expired; I said NOT for the compressor which has 10 years for the part. They were to come out on July 11th to again confirm diagnosis with their own warrantee tech. But, by July 10, 2019, the freezer was at 61 degrees F and the refrigerator was at 34 degrees F. I instead called my original tech and told him that the compressor was no longer working hard to cool the refrigerator and not working at all to cool the freezer. He said that it is likely that the Freon in the coils to the freezer were clogged. And the reason the fridge was still cold is that the separate coil line to the fridge was not clogged. He said it is not likely to be fixed. Would require removing the entire coil line in the freezer section for replacement. You see there is a valve the switches between the freezer and refrigerator coils and sends Freon flowing alternating between the two. Now that the entire freezer line is clogged the switch seems to be selected only for the refrigerator. Only solution is to buy another refrigerator. I canceled the Samsung Service call with this new diagnosis. BTW, I lost about $100 in food, but was smart enough to purchase a small 5 cubic ft. freezer to save the rest. That will hold me over until a brand new fridge is delivered. I’d like to say I’m not going to buy a Samsung, but if you search on “freezer not cooling” you’ll find that all brands may have this problem….and most with NO SOLUTION.July 3, 2019 post. Bought the Samsung model RF323TEDBSR refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer drawer in June 2017. Freezer drawer is now failing evidenced by top layer of food thawed. Set the temp to -8 degrees F and no change. Ive called for repair at my expense because Lowe’s Service Advantage expired only two weeks ago (guess I should have renewed for $600). I now hope not to become one of the hundreds of reviewers here that could not get the freezer repaired even after replacing compressor, computer panel, and sensors. If the coils have failed, then Im toast. Wont know until $90 diagnosis this Friday. Before the repair person shows I plan to pull the back panel, remove power for few minutes, clean the coils and sensor area to see if that fixes the problem. But, I doubt it based on previous posts here.

I just logged in to see if anything had changed. I purchased the Samsung set electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer. This was for our winter home and used only 6 months a year. So other than entertaining these appliances do not get used. After reading these reviews Im feeling very lucky. After two years we are on our second stovetop that has exploded (and not covered by warranty). The top is so bad you can slice your hand open just by cleaning. The stove light stays on hot permanently, the cleaning feature has never worked, the heat is never even and the funniest thing is that the first time I cleaned it with Windex all of the numbers came off the dials. When I called them they agreed to cover it, wasted my time by sending out a repairman who then called me a liar and said I had broken the stove. I have never heard of such unethical handling in my life. I own apartments and have never had this problem with good old American products. And I will never shop at the store I purchased this at because they carried and supported such a horrible product.

We have had the Samsung Refrigerator Model RF263BEAEWW/AA for about 1 1/2 years now which we purchased from Conns... a.k.a. Cons. This will be the 3rd time that we will have to call the repair service for repair. Because our refrigerator is out of warranty, we are, so to speak, been screwed by the pooch. Conns will not step up to the plate and offer any kind of service or help... Will never go there again, nor recommend that store. (NFM here I come). Nor will Samsung say that there is any problem with this defective product though they have Class Action Lawsuits against them for similar products. Needless to say, we will never step foot into a Conns (Cons) store again, nor buy Samsung if they will not stand behind their product. If anyone has any suggestions or help, it would be appreciated.

I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

We purchased a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator from Home Depot in May 2014 for $3,100.00 and paid an additional fee for a (4) four-year extended warranty from Home Depot. Samsung only offers a (1) one-year manufacturers warranty. Our first repair service call was with SAMSUNG on June 2014 for a defective ice maker that needed replacement and was subsequently replaced. Our next service call was December 2014, due to a failed ice maker AGAIN. Our third repair service call was in December 2015, the ice maker wasnt making ice consistently and it was also making CRUSHED ICE in the CUBE MODE, and water DRIPS was constantly falling from the ice bin down into the cup dispenser and rolling down the front of the stainless steel refrigerator constantly staining it. The ice maker also began a HUMMING NOISE. The repair service rep said the ice blades in the ice bin were weak and causing the CRUSHED ICE. He said this was a Samsung DESIGN FLAW that cant be fixed. WE paid good money for this SAMSUNG product and all we got was repeated problems and customer service delays. Now Home Depot refuses to honor their (4) four-year EXTENDED WARRANTY. We are demanding replacement of this SAMSUNG refrigerator for another MORE RELIABLE UNIT. If this is the so-called quality of a Top-of-the-Line SAMSUNG refrigerator, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

Only had Samsung stove for 1 year an stopped working. Wish I would have listened to my guy when I decided to switch all of my appliances out to Samsung. Purchased the Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. Free-Standing Electric Range with True Convection oven. Nothing no longer works but the stove clock. The stove top and oven stopped heating up. I did purchase an extended warranty. So we will see how this plays out when the technician shows up.

My elderly parents bought this refrigerator and after thirteen months began having issues. They would send someone out but it would be 2 weeks. I told them of their health issues, my dad is a heart patient and diabetic and we really needed something pretty quick. I was also told from customer service you should always have a back up refrigerator. I asked, Who could afford two refrigerators, and where would you put two? The tone got worse and then I was just pretty much angered with his non-caring attitude. Not to mention that only very few technicians are certified to do a service call. I called Sears and they generously offered 3 days sooner. Very honest and tried to offer other options to try such as unplugging the unit for 2 days in case it had froze up, before spending money my parents did not have on their fixed income. We were never told to try anything from Samsung, to maybe save the expense to a sick, elderly couple. I was told that the minimum amount would be around $685.00 for the visit. Needless to say, we took his advice to unplug the unit for 2 days then restart. At least Sears tried to offer an alternative for us. Have lost food/beverages twice, still no refrigerator/ice maker, etc. Enough air flowing to not be eligible for warranty for a big part such as compressor, etc. Will probably be replaced ASAP b/c that is more than half the price it cost to begin with. After two weeks, they are living from a dorm size refrigerator and a Yeti cooler for ice. With their customer service, me along with my parents are done with Samsung. Sad to say on reviews on this particular type, they are messing up at about the 13-month mark. There is no excuse for a nice, new refrigerator to tear up with barely over a year of use. Never again! Very frustrated, not to mention the anguish my parents are going through. When you buy something that expensive, you expect it to last a while. I have had my Kenmore side-by-side for almost 20 years so we have learned a lesson. But the main lesson is all about the attitude you give the person on the other end of that phone. Try to be a little sympathetic to an elderly persons situation Samsung! Going to try to find another one after their check comes the first of the month. Another several days.

The Samsung French door refrigerator is about five years old. After about three years of service, the light in the freezer stopped working. The repair was postponed until now and after two visits, the service provider identified a broken wire in the center drawer that supplies power to the LED light for the freezer. To replace the wire, and entire drawer slide assembly had to be ordered and installed to correct an obvious design deficiency of a broken wire that is obviously not designed to survive the repetitive motion of the drawer being opened under normal usage. $339 for a non-warranty repair.

I bought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator about 3 years back. A month ago, my fridge stopped cooling and the freezer was acting like the fridge. I called All Pro Repairs in Dallas and he replaced the board and thermostats. Now, I have the fridge freezing food and acting like a freezer. I unplugged the appliance and defrosted, but no use—it’s back to freezing. The tech says another part has to be replaced. I am in a fix as I have already spent over $150.00. I’m not even sure if the tech knows what needs to be done.

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator two years ago. French doors with a lower freezer drawer and a refrigerator drawer. A week ago, the refrigerator door handle became dislodged with no way to reattach it. We had to call a service rep to fix. Only he cannot. The screws that bolt unto the draw and handle are unique to the Samsung product. Using a standard bolt that is longer wont work. Somehow the threads within the draw have dropped back into the draw itself and there is no way to attach the handles. So, we now have to purchase a whole new draw for nearly $500 including servicing. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator RS261MDRS Almost 14 months ago. The first one was replaced within a month. The replacement had 4 repairs on it since with the same complaint, which was a very loud knocking noise in the freezer. The explanation was the fan hits the ice build up, which is not supposed to happen. The entire freezer has been rebuilt and the ice is building up again. Which I am sure will result in the same complaint. Mind you, the last repair was done in NOV. Now the module on the front with all the buttons, dont work. Samsung has done nothing but aggravate the customer. They have lousy Customer Service! We were even promised a replacement and they changed their mind and sent out service instead, where he did the same thing all the others did. I am disgusted with them as a company. We bought a DD68-00143A_MES about 6 months ago. Since day one we noticed that it simply did not work as well as our old one (was not a Samsung) we had for over 10 years. At first I thought we were just not loading the dishes correctly because they were not clean. So for several weeks we tried to move dishes all over the place and nothing helped. Then we thought maybe it was the dishwasher detergent (even though we had used it for years with no problems, I thought maybe they changed the formula without us knowing it) so we tried all kinds of detergents and nothing helped! So as many of you that have complaints about the washer being the worst ever, I tend to agree. Other things we have noticed is there is this smell that comes from it. At first I thought it was our hard water (we are on rural water) but then I read some other peoples comments and see its not only us that noticed it. We have also noticed that many dishes are stained with something and we cannot remove the stain no matter how we try! Another thing is that I do not think the person that designed (its a laugh to even think someone would really use the word designed) the racks to hold the dishes has ever washed a dish in their life! NOTHING FITS! Its a chore to try and find places to put the dishes to wash them. One last thing. As like most of you we have come to the same conclusion that we will never buy Samsung again! I am however a little different than most of you. I own a lot of rental properties, and I bet you can guess the type of dishwasher that will NEVER BE PUT IN MY HOUSE OR MY RENTAL PROPERTIES! EVER!

The ice maker continually freezes up and partially defrost causing a drip and puddles in the middle door tray and floor. We have had to defrost the ice maker 11 times so far when the issues started last fall and have become really irritating. Not sure if its even worth calling Samsung. I purchased a Samsung Conventional Oven from Best Buy in August 2011. The stove worked great until now. I was preheating the oven to bake lasagna and could smell burning plastic. I looked in the oven to make sure there was nothing burning inside and there was nothing. As I closed the door and stepped back, sparks started shooting out of the stove top and smoke was everywhere. I had my two month old son and my three dogs with me in the kitchen. Luckily none of them were injured. The ash from the blowout was all over my kitchen. The breaker blew (thank god) and I immediately unplugged the stove. I could not see an obvious signs of a problem until I really looked at the back of the stove. Where the plug is connected was covered in black ash. I removed the panel to find that the area where the plug connects was completely melted.I have had this stove for almost four years now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!! Im still scared to death that this could have caused a house fire or an injury to my son, myself or my dogs. I will be contacting Samsung to see what can be done. I have read horror stories about their customer support but I have my receipt and pictures to back me. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

We have been using this dishwasher for two years and regret the day that we bought it. The only positive thing we can say is that it’s quiet. If you like doing separate loads for plates/small items and a separate load for pots & pans /storage containers then this unit is for you. PROBLEMS: The lower rack at front has a set of three rows of tines that don’t allow for easy placement of small plates. If you try to use the front and middle rows, they are too close to the front of the rack for anything but saucers. (If you use saucers) If you try to use the middle and third row, your small plates interfere with the dinner plates. (The tines for the dinner plates are slanted in the opposite direction from the small plates)Also all the tines have the wrong slant for North American plates. If you try to add a pot, the tines are too close together for it to fit properly. (There is a feature where you can fold down the plate tines to fit the pots but then there is no place for plates.) The upper rack guide roller retainers protrude and cut your hands if you are not careful. If we could afford to toss this dishwasher out, we would have done so on day two! We like it even less after two years.

We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling
We purchased the Samsung from hhgregg in Appleton WI as we were remodeling our kitchen and the refrigerator # rf260beaesr has not worked from the start. For making ice, we have called hhgregg. We had the extended warranty and they told us its not their problem. We have to work through Samsung so we have called and on 5 different occasions received inaccurate information and the tech line of Samsung the repairman came out and thought we had a used refrigerator or malware refrigerator from the assembly factory as the cables were not connected and the coil for making ice was defective. He replaced it nicely. That piece of coil lasted one day and again we called the tech line and the repairman came replacement of something else and reset the refrigerator and when we came back from our 14 day vacation it stunk in the house and lo and below - all the food in the freezer spoiled. Over 250.00 of meat. We called them up and they said to call hhgreg and we did that and hhgreg said they have nothing to do with the Samsung as Samsung is the product and this is their problem. Now this is getting old. Since June we have been getting replacement parts and no wear as the freezer still is not working and either is the temperatures in the refrigerator and no one is taking responsibility in replacement. They said Samsung that is, that hhgregg will be calling you and replacing a refrigerator. No no not a call received. We have called and wrote everyone name down the phone and email and faxes that they told us to go through for Samsung and guess what? Nothing is done. Now all we want is our money back, plus the food lost, and we will not buy a Samsung product ever. Example - look at the Samsung phones are blowing up. We have done everything Samsung told us to do and as of 9/16/16 we are no further ahead. CIVIL suit - contact news and will expose both retailer hhgregg and Samsung for running false advertising and product reliability and the other thing is hhgregg in Appleton and Green Bay is going out of business. Everyone got our money but we end up being the loser. Where is the justice in customer service? Where is the responsibility for a product accountability? The refrigerator is not even a yr old rf260beaesr and I have a 5yr psp bf refrigerator warranty which I was charged 349.99. Plus the refrigerator of 1600.00. Where does this sit with me? FZ coils frozen up, defrost freezer. Heaters did not work. Def defrost control replaced, installed new main board and evaporator fa defrost sensor ordered. Need sensor, connected sensor e21 evap fan reconnect on 7-1 16. Next visit 7-18-16 reg def holder defrost thermostat no voltage to heater from board evap fan not running. 8/26 repairman another sensor ordered power freeze and another visit from technical difficulties. No one knows what the hell they are doing in Samsung and they dont care period. They think they can run a person ragged down so that the customer will quit & they dont have to deal with getting us our money back. They dont even know who their CEO. We asked - how much does this tell you they care or know about the Samsung equipment service? So, how do we get our money back so we can buy a refrigerator other than a Samsung? Maybe Electrolux or Maytag. Going locally I can at least get service and honesty and a replacement instead of the run about from retail stores like hhgregg who is going out of business 9/30/16 and Samsung who wont replace or give your moneys back from the purchase. Does anyone hear me out there? We faxed everything to 973 529 0543, tried 3 times would not accept faxes. Obtained a new fax # to 864 751 2882 on 9/17/16. We are calling hhgregg daily and Samsung daily to get a refrigerator. We are the customer and deserve better care than what we have gotten which was passing the buck blaming the other guy. Get some balls Samsung and take care of the customer - stand behind your name. As for hhgregg going bankrupt out of business says it all. They probably took the money and ran. Almost sounds like this with Samsung is trying to do as well. Just replace the ref or give the customer their money back. We were the trusting people in your name and now we have no trust in that name and you Samsung did not stand behind and take responsibility. Shame on you Samsung. Someday youll be a customer to someone else and lets see how that goes. You all will be exposed for what you are eventually.

My freezer stopped freezing & I called a repair man to fix it (Samsung is a hard company for repair people to deal with and there are very limited people that work on them). Upon looking at it he told me that it was leaking Freon (which should never happen on this unit because its sealed). He charged me $90 and suggested that I call Samsung and explain to them to see if they would help me because it would be a lengthy repair and it could cost $400 and to top it off there may be no way to located the leak if its too small to patch. So, I called Samsung and after several calls & several supervisors I got them to set up an appointment with A&E Factory repairs - to which they didnt show up for that appointment. Samsung called them again & set an appointment for later the same day - to which they did not show up again. Again Samsung called them (this time I required a 3 way call) & set up another appointment (for another day). The A&E Factory repair guy came, pulled the freezer out & determined that it was in fact leaking. He ordered the parts & two weeks later the repair guy came. He said he could not work on the unit because I had laminate flooring & he requested that I sign a waiver. I refused & they left. I then called to reset another appointment for three weeks later (after my vacation) and was told that that date wasnt available yet, Id have to call back next week.Samsung has not helped me with my freezer issue and I am not happy at all with their product or the warranty repair service. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product in my life! Repair people dont want work with Samsung products. Their Customer Service sucks! They use A&E Factory repair (Their Customer Service sucks!).

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

After only four years, the evaporator went out with this horrendous noise. Had tough time finding a Samsung repairman in my area. When I called their support line I was told to trouble shoot. In no way was this a trouble shooting matter. I was finally put in touch with a repairman who would actually work on the thing. The evaporator was changed out. The next week, the fan in the new evaporator went out. A whole new evaporator was ordered and put in. This took approximately three weeks. After another two weeks, the refrigerator was not cooling. The repairman came back and said that the unit was working, but the water line froze up. It was defrosted and the unit worked for about 2 weeks and the thing started heating up again. The temperature read 57 degrees. So, I was out a refrigerator for a total of 2 months, not counting the amount of food lost. I am joining a class action suit and getting rid of this piece of crap. Will NEVER recommend anything Samsung to anyone.

Once we moved in there we noticed loud banging noises coming from the fridge at random times. These noises were so loud they woke us in the night.I initially called Samsung about this in early June of 2018. They sent a technician out but the sound did not happen while he was here. As we were in a remote area it took over 4 weeks to get him to come out. After this I was constantly on the phone trying to find out what they would do next and they finally asked me to send them an audio file of the sound. Which I did. They in turn sent it to Samsung and Samsung tells me this was normal. I called them several times after that and then in Oct they refused to even talk to me as they said it was now not in warranty. At that time I pointed out that the problem was there before the warranty was out and they said it didnt matter it was not their problem now. At that point I called Lowes where I purchased the fridge as I had a 4 year extended warranty with them. They sent the same company out again and the Technician was here all of 10 minutes, changed a setting on the fridge and left. This did not solve the problem. After numerous calls to both Lowes and the repair company of Lake City furnishings in Williams lake they finally came back with an email from Samsung saying that the noise was something that happens to only a few fridges and will disappear after 1 or possibly more than 2 years. This is not an acceptable resolution to me and I feel I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Samsung, Lake City and Lowes to no proper resolution.

Bought my Samsung dishwasher in June 2014. This morning, got the error code LE. I couldnt find any leaks. Checked out all the reviews on this site. I cant find my bill, so to avoid paying for repair costs and all the hassle, I will get rid of the dishwasher and buy a Bosh dishwasher. Another thing, when my Samsung fridge/freezer arrived, it had a big dent.

My Samsung French door fridge with drawer is only five years old and the fan in the top went out and the temperature raised to 54. No warranty so I called Sears (They were horrible!! Thats a whole other story). The parts are incredibly hard to get, it takes WEEKS!!! In the meantime our refrigerator is too warm! We lost lots of food and could only shop for one meal at a time! The next service man that came out told us we may as well replace it now rather than waste our money and that we were lucky to get 5 years out of it. That repairman told us to stay far away from Samsung appliances. We replaced it was a Maytag and are very happy we did.

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

The technician had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it. The problems came from the 2 sensors on the back (inside). The repair costs $150 for parts and labor. My stove top had a crack on the top, due to the heating element getting too hot. After dealing with Samsung for 4 weeks on the phone (could not hear us -- they keep hanging up and they keep saying the wrong email address, and no one spoke English) they claim that our 1 1/2 old stove is not covered for labor only parts. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and no one will help us. I have all Samsung in our home, everything from phones to the washer and dryer. I will never, ever buy Samsung again. This company is a mess and the customer service is so BAD. They are rude and scripted.

The technician sends pictures to Samsung. Samsung determines outcome despite the technician’s analysis and recommendations. Samsung blames their consumer. Samsung does not cover the any of the parts. We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

I have a Samsung Refrigerator, model number RS265TDRS, shortly before the warranty expired the coils started freezing with ice causing the unit not to cool. Since then, it has happened three more times. Each time, I have paid for services, repair and food replacement. Samsung customer service said there isn’t anything they can do but send another tech at my expense. Spoke to a representative who said Samsung couldn’t do anything for me since my warranty has expired. Since it is the same part that Samsung suffered a lawsuit in 2010, I strongly believe this issue has not been resolved in newer models either. My model was not part of the lawsuit. It’s time for a major recall!

My husband & I have always been happy with Samsung appliances and phone
My husband & I have always been happy with Samsung appliances and phones. Our experience with this dishwasher (DW80H993) has been a nightmare! We purchased a Samsung dishwasher at Conns (do NOT shop there!!) and it began to leak within 36 hours. Conns wouldnt replace it because it was more than 24 hours after we purchased it. REALLY? Home Depot & Lowes would have replaced it in a heartbeat. Conns told us to use the Samsung warranty. A&E has been out EIGHT times now and they wont tell Samsung the dishwasher is un-repairable. They keep ordering parts (two parts they ordered TWICE!) and they cant even get the DW to turn on. We purchased the DW mid-January and they tried to fix the leak once. By mid-March, the DW wouldnt even turn on. A&E was at our house AGAIN today and again they wouldnt tell Samsung that the dw wasnt repairable. We have not had a working DW for TWO months now! My husband has told Samsung that he thinks A&E is just stringing them along. Samsung has spent more money on parts and labor than if they just replaced the DW. I deal in Customer Service every day at work. I dont appreciate when people lose their tempers with me. Most things can be taken care of… and you get more with honey than vinegar. So my husband & I have been very patient but that has worn off. We have a $700 ornament in our kitchen. We saved & planned for this DW!!! My husband & I both work long hours and love having our family over on a regular basis. The last thing we want to be doing are a bunch of dishes in the sink. I never feel like the kitchen is clean because there are either dishes in the sink or dishes drying on the counter. Come on Samsung! The DW is not repairable! This has gone on long enough!!

We have purchased a Samsung slide-in range double oven ($1842.29), model (NE58F9710WS/AA) (1 year warranty plus 1 year extended warranty), on 8/22/2015. First time, I did use the self cleaning function. First issue: The TCO (=partition part MELTED in the back of the stove). Technician came: diagnosis 4/4/16, fixed 4/11/16 and 4/26/16. I have been told to use steam cleaning function instead of self cleaning option!!! But one of my criteria purchase always has been to buy an oven with self cleaning function which is so opened to work properly and safely. Second time I did use the self cleaning function (5/31/2016), halfway (1 hour 10 min) thru (3 hours in manual) the control panel died, the oven door locked, the range, the stone countertop, the kitchen cabinets, the glass backsplash way too, too hot!!Calling right away 18007267864. The customer service told me to wait at least 8 hours to let the oven cool down. I couldnt believe my ears. Next day, oven door still locked, calling again customer service explaining I didnt trust anymore this product, asking for an exchange or refund, refusing a repair service. Samsung product Review denied my request over a long week fight with agents, supervisors, executive from customer service, I had no other choice than accepting a service repair or keeping an useless range-oven. Technician came (6/9/2016), diagnosis temperature sensor BROKE, got it fixed. Technician witnessed our closest kitchen cabinet from oven have been damaged by the excessive heat!! 2 hazard issues in less in 2 months!! I think it is a huge safety hazard. Now, I am questioning about the safety of my home because of the Samsung cheaply constructed range oven.

We bought Samsung, French Door Refrigerator (Model No. 220NCTASE/AA) in January, 2014 from local Leons. Its working fine, but two days we noticed the fridge is not cool as usual and I adjusted the temperature to make cooler, same as for the freezer. And it seemed nothing happens after 24 hours. Then I tried unplugged and re-plugged the power, and waited another 24 hours, I still cant feel any cold air from the fridge and freezer. I am for sure its stopped work just after two years.I then called Samsung support 1-800 phone number and got answered with 10 minutes, unexpected really short wait time. The girl said that she needs to transfer to technical support number. Well after 30 minutes of waiting I got hung up. I re-called the 1-800 phone number again, it happens the same. I tried to re-called the 1-800 from my cell phone and got the same hung up. This is really frustrated getting technical support from Samsung. How could be a big company like Samsung with BAD customer services? The bad thing is that we recently bought a Samsung washer. Well, from now on we will stay away from Samsung brand.

Since purchasing my refrigerator, weve had to replace the shelving on both doors a total of 10 times at a cost of $41.00 per shelf. The plastic around the interior shelf and drawer systems has also broken. I researched the product and found the shelving was determined to be defective. I contacted Samsung to see if they provided alternative replacement shelving to replace the defective shelving. First off I attempted to chat with a Samsung representative, they could not understand English and I was asked to to simplify my words. I then called Samsung and was told they did not have an alternative replacement, they would not provide replacement shelving, they would not discount the cost of the replacement shelving, and basically notify me there was nothing they could or would do. I am a long time Samsung customer, and I will never purchase another Samsung phone, computer, television, or appliance from this corporation. The original cost of this refrigerator was $1,300 and I was told it had it should last an estimated 10 years, which is a joke. The problems started when 3 months after it was purchased. I work with manufacturers of appliances on a daily basis as a regional manager in the multi-family housing industry and have never had a company care less than the Samsung customer service agent I spoke with. To not even offer the known defective replacements parts at a discount is unheard of.

My Samsung RSG257AARS (purchased 2013) counter depth refrigerator completely turns off (front display, interior lights - both sides, and compressors) when outside temps start to warm up. This happened 1 time approx. after a year of ownership, already out of warranty by that point by the way. During the cool months it never shuts off. Again a little more frequently the following year. Now the first warm day in April its already started again.I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. The Authorized Service center would have to Diagnose the problem, I will have to miss a day of work $$. Then order part, reschedule repair, miss another day of work $$. Pay for all of this and pray it fixes problem. The ice maker has never been sufficient during the months when you need ice the most, this has been a constant complaint on many forums. Totally dissatisfied with this product and will never purchase a Samsung product.

Bought all new Samsung appliances when we built our house. Stove worked well at first. Liked the rapid boil burner. Right after the extended Lowes warranty expired, the rapid boil burner would go crazy. It was insanely hot no matter what temp you set it on. Burned everything youd try to cook on it. Found the problem, replaced the part. Less than a year later both front burners are doing the same thing. Also used the self-clean oven, enamel came off very badly. Its so damaged I couldnt use it. Top and bottom of the oven look like someone took a grinder to it. Deep gashes. Flaking off. Since its on the top it falls into your food. Noticed today as we were pulling it out to replace with a new range, oven actually has a hole in the bottom. Very expensive Samsung fridge is already starting to freeze items in the back of the fridge. Will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Great TVs, horrible appliances.

SMH8165 - I have tried a few different things suggested for this microwave. What finally seems to have stopped it is I took the keypad off and disconnected the thin wires from the circuit board. Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! After just 2 years, the Samsung Microwave SMH9187b started beeping and flashing the SE error code. Samsung was no help, telling us to turn off the breaker. It never reset itself. Then they said they would cover the repair if it was the display but not if it was the box (brain) of the microwave. When I asked how we would know which it was, they said you wont until the repair people came out. Calling repair, they said it would be a minimum of $70 visit fee and $90 for the part. So that would be at least $160. Repair also said it is not the display, that the SE code means more than that. Im very disappointed with Samsung and am now looking for a new microwave. I purchased this dual oven convection range in July 2015. I have read the manual for tips on how to bake properly, no help. I attempted repositioning racks for regular baking, convection baking. Nothing mattered. Biscuits are burned on the bottom and white on top. Angel food cake was overdone on one side and not done on the other. Cakes are a flop. I love to bake and have baked successfully for fifty years. Called service; they are not knowledgeable of the product and outright lie. They rescheduled a visit by repair and they never showed up. I called back; same with complaints, no return visit. The only thing the repairman did was flash a beam to read the temperature at entry point. Said everything is ok; but Ill replace a board. This did absolutely nothing. Im back to a range top with no way to bake bread, cakes or pies. This range cost $1299.00. All I want is to be able to use the appliance without ruining everything I try to cook. I bought an oven thermometer to gauge temperature. Set on 350 degrees, the lower rack read 200 degrees. I would gladly return this range to purchase one that gets the job done. Is there any recourse other than suing Samsung? Im at my wits end, this purchase was no doubt the worst choice Ive made in my life.
