I purchased a Samsung bottom freezer model... twin cooling. I have had it for a little over two years. I first noticed it after my daughter and grand baby moved in he was extremely sick and I kept thinking that he had eaten something that made him have a extremely bad stomach. After he went to the doctor we was still trying to make sense of it. My daughter was cleaning out the fridge and noticed that there was ice on the back panel... go figure what I think made him sick. I contacted Samsung. Their response was talk to a different department. I will never purchase another Samsung fridge.

I bought my refrigerator at Home Depot. It is a Samsung. I have had it for about 5 years. Just recently the hose to the Ice Maker sprung a leak and filled my kitchen floor with water! I have tried unsuccessfully to fix it. I think I will have to go to Home Depot and buy a kit with all new parts and try again to fix it!

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

I bought a Samsung Range under a year ago and have been having problems with it ever since. When using the oven, it heats my cabinets, knobs, walls, over the range microwave, and exterior portions of the range to over 160 degrees. When using the oven the stove knobs are too hot to even turn on the stove top. We called Samsung and they immediate sent out a service technician. The tech said the area was getting extremely warm but the range was working properly. We again called Samsung because we are unable to use this unsafe product in our home and they were very rude and not concerned about our safety, but agreed to send another tech out. Second tech, said it was getting warm and that’s how ovens work and left. I know for a fact that this is NOT how ovens work. My cabinets and over the range microwave are nearly too hot to open when the oven is on. My neighbor has the exact same range and hers is not operating this way, so I know there is an issue with mine. We are not able to use this oven at this point due to safety issues as my husband has already received burns. Samsung is not willing to resolve this issue and that is unacceptable, especially because it is still under warranty.

My ice maker freezes up a lot. Have to take it out, chip the ice away and return the tray. Ridiculous!!! I will never buy a Samsung anything again. I have a warranty, but from what Ive heard, it isnt much good. What do I have to do ship it back to Japan. Not a good investment. I love the refrigerator, but dont like the ice maker. We finally decided to dump the ice into a bag and put it in the freezer compartment. Never know when its going to happen. It just does!!! Disappointed in Samsung.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015. Within that first year I had Samsung repairs visit four times due to ice maker problems. They never fixed the problem. Thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty from Lowes. I had a warranty repair person visit over the same ice maker issues seven times. Each time I had to take four hours off of work to be home for the repair. The icemaker has been replaced along with several other components at least three times. Each time it breaks within weeks and still does not work. Not only does it not produce ice properly, it also leaks water down the front of my stainless steel and now I have permanent stains in my stainless steel refrigerator. Not Appealing! Purchasing this refrigerator has created significant financial loss for me and my family. Not only do I have an ugly refrigerator with water stains down the front of it, I cannot get ice from it, and I have lost several hours equating to several hundred dollars of loss work having to be home each time a repair person needed access to fix it. Purchasing a Samsung refrigerator has been the worst experience and the worst purchasing decision I have ever made.

I ordered Samsung Gas Range, Model NX58H9500WS/AA from Plessers on April 4th, 2016. In two months, the surface burn grates cracked. I filed a claim, to my dismay, the customer service is the worst ever I had dealt with. I was asked to send the pictures of the defect parts and the receipts. I sent what they asked for on June 20th. Until today, I did not hear a word. I just called and was told that the burner grates and the cap are not covered. The gas range is quite expensive. I cannot believe that the burn grates cracked in two months. The workmanship is extremely poor.

Purchased the NE59J7850WS Samsung dual flex electric oven. After less than 2.5 years, the oven is not working. It intermittently continues to heat, well past the set temperature, and well past 500F+. We have had servicing, but since the issue is intermittent, it didnt occur when he was here and he could only identify two things that could be going wrong (thermostat and control board), both which were replaced. Last Samsung product I will purchase, including phones which I have been purchasing for years for the whole family. Samsungs response -- I can definitely understand how you might be feeling and you have the right to express your thoughts about the product.

So, I purchase my house in May with all new appliances. I notice from the get-go that the refrig. didnt seem to cool enough for my taste. I thought it was just me, but by the end of May I was already having more issues with the refrigerator. The fan was making a horrible sound. By the time the tech showed up which was over a week later. The fan had stopped working and I had to get rid of all the food. He replaced the sensor and water line. It has now been a week since then and my fan is starting to make the sound again. I called the tech because his phone number was on the receipt he left me. He told me that I had to go back to Samsung and start the process all over. So, that means all my food will spoil again! Do not buy this refrigerator!

I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016.
I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016. Mid July I noticed my fridge temp blinking. Got the manual to reset and it stated that because the temp has been changed it would take a moment for the blinking to stop. So, left it alone and when I awoke no more blinking. Two days later, July 18, 2016 the refrigerator temp is blinking again. This time I make a call to Samsung but now the now is set and no longer blinking; two days later after this it starts to blink again and I make a call to Samsung again on July 20, 2016. Im told to unplug or disconnect the power from the unit; I do this but when plugged in 2-3 minutes later the blinking has stopped but now my temp for the refrigerator is reading 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I give this info to the customer service rep who tells me that this is okay and that the temp will drop and to use the fast cool function. Now I got my first service call number on the 18th and at that time provided all the necessary information to the representative. On the 20th I asked if a new service call number would be given and was told that it wasnt necessary, the first service number was still valid. Anyway, the following morning the refrigerator is still reading 61 degrees. I call Samsung customer service on July 21, 2016, give this customer service rep the whole story from beginning to end only to be asked for the serial & model numbers. This info should have been in my file as it was given on July 18th. Anyway, once this info is provided again this individual wants to send me through all the troubleshooting steps I have already taken. When I explain that these things have already been completed with no resolution he wants to tell me that I will be responsible for charges if a technician is sent out. To say the least I explain once again to this individual that the troubleshooting has already taken place and it didnt work and I need a technician. He complies but now it will take 24-48 hours before I will be contacted. Was contacted by the service tech on Sunday evening that I had to be available between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. I get a call that the tech is running late and will arrive after 3pm. He arrives & checks out the unit. He turns to me and states that I need a new compressor. He goes on to say that this is a regular problem with this particular unit. The part has to be ordered and will take approximately 3-5 days for delivery and then they will contact me for repairs. My question is has anyone else had this problem? Is there a recall? Again, the technician stated that this is a common problem. I purchased my appliances at hhgregg and got the whole suite to include dishwasher, range & microwave. Was told that this was the top of the line appliance package. I also have Samsung washer & dryer (Home Depot). Did a little research prior to purchase but mostly price comparison but I apparently missed this site. Had I read all these reviews prior I would not have purchased all these Samsung appliances. Praying that my products dont fail but will definitely obtain some type of extended warranty to protect myself. It wont be Samsung.

Consumers should be aware of purchasing Samsung refrigerators as they do not last without extensive repair. Exactly at 2 yrs and 2 mos., freezer issues and ice maker issues developed some of which are still not functioning. Now our repair person has not been able to get a freezer part for weeks as it is out of stock and on back order. This is a $2200 purchase made 12/18/12, that is the worst appliance that I have ever purchased. I am now going to have to spend another $2000 plus to replace this *** in order to have a working appliance. Buyer aware notice from me to perspective purchasers.

First the poor design was the ice maker which broke three times. Repaired it twice and gave up. Bought ice maker. (Mine was the ice maker on top of freezer. Always getting knocked into and broken). I noticed new models dont have the ice maker on top of freezer. Plastic parts broke. Now it is hot in the refrigerator and freezer. Lost between $200 -300 dollars worth of food. Then TRY to find a repairmen. What a sorry lot. Supposed to come last Thursday, truck broke down. Was rescheduled for Sat. No show. Now they can come Sat. That is one week and a half without a refrigerator. I spent big bucks on this I believe 4 or five years ago. Will NEVER get another Samsung product.

I am so upset with SAMSUNG appliances. We purchased a refrigerator Model #RF28HFEDBSR from them in 2014. It worked fine until months ago when we had Samsungs provider One Stop Appliance come and fix it. $330 and a 90 day warranty. At 120 days the same problem occurred so we called the Geek Squad because we purchased it at Best Buy. They came and fixed the exact same problem for another $330. Now we are again about 20 days out of the 90 day warranty and Samsung WONT DO ANYTHING!!Its ridiculous that we have to pay for the same issue to be fixed over and over again. They are supposed to have such good customer service but we are certainly not feeling it. They told me twice they would help but they would charge us AGAIN to fix the same problem for a THIRD time!! Why do they get high ratings??? I dont understand it. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please share! Thanks.

Dont ever buy a Samsung fridge. We have had our French door refrigerator for about a year. It is a 2015 make and model. The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. Come to find out this happens a lot with Samsung. We had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it with a hairdryer. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. I will never buy Samsung again!!!

Ive had my refrigerator quite a few years and every time I clean it I get frustrated. I asked for help before and never got anywhere. My problem is when I pull out to wash either the vegetable or fruit drawer to wash them there is a space in the bottom front of the drawer where garbage accumulates like seeds from peppers or a piece of parsley, etc. and there is no way we can remove the front part of the drawer in order to clean that out. I chatted with Support and I was told there is no way to remove the front part of the drawers to wash. Its my only complaint about my refrigerator. All is well otherwise. Purchased all four Samsung Dishwasher (DMR78 Series), Refrigerator (3 door freezer on bottom) microwave and stove. Top of the line in summer of 2010, well first the dishwasher would fill up and drain immediately. Service man came could not order part, HH Greg offer to replace with a newer and improve model after only 3 to 4 months of owning dishwasher. About 6 months later, bam fill up but would not drain; service man came out, stated problem with these dishwashers and repaired the top rack as there were problems with that. Another year goes by again the same problem but now the dishes are not clean. Service tech advise to run white vinegar to remove any grease build up around the float which was causing the issue with the dishwasher. So in the four in half years of owning this dishwasher; replaced the dishwasher, replaced the float 4 times, dishes are nasty. Never again will I purchase Samsung. Now about the refrigerator, ice build up under the tray and then leaked on to the hardwood floor. Several times cleaning, the ice build up replacing sensors. Never again Samsung refrigerator. The microwave, the latch on the door broke off. Replaced. Seriously it is myself and my wife. Never again Samsung.

I called for repairs and was forwarded to some service agent who never called. This occurred on two occasions. Needless to say, the warranty had run out by this time, and Samsung refused to warranty the product, even though I was in contact with them within the 1 year warranty period. This is my second horrible review of Samsung Refrigerators. I purchased a new side by side Samsung Refrigerator one year ago after having an old 28 year old GE Refrigerator that gave me no problems whatsoever. I purchased a 4 year warranty (what a waste of money). So the last time I complained about the scratches on the part where you fill your glass with water and ice and Samsung said that is cosmetic and nothing can be done. I suppose you should be using paper cups to fill your water instead of glass. The refrigerator already looks like it is about 20 years old. This time the large shelf in the middle of the refrigerator cracked for no apparent reason. I contacted Samsung and they again told me that this is not covered (what a surprise). I will never buy anything that has a Samsung name attached to it!!!

Samsung refrigerator model #RS275ACWP purchased in December 2008: By 2012 it developed a leak at the freezers backplane. The leak caused the bottom drawer to seize up. Samsung recommended solution was to replace the backplane at a cost of hundreds of dollars. A handyman resealed the original backplane at a considerably lower cost. By 2013 the ice maker failed by producing too much ice. The ice box became locked up and water spilled into the interior, causing still more ice on the freezer shelves. Bought on Black Friday 2011, waited 4 months for delivery. Six months later, noticed that the freezer door wasnt opening easily or closing all the way. Discovered the bottom of unit under the freezer door had ice building up underneath it. Busted it up & got it all out, freezer drawer worked perfectly. Few weeks later, it started all over again. Called Lowes, where it was purchased, & they told me no warranty, as it was now year since purchase date. My argument was that I had not actually had possession of it for a year, only 8 months. Got nowhere with Lowes, so every few weeks I get on my hands & knees & break all of the ice out of the bottom.I cant find any water leaks & have no idea where the freezing water comes from. Also want to mention that a piece of the cover for the above ice maker fell off at approx 6 months, and a piece of the bottom ice maker did the same at around a year. Got a great Black Friday price for this $2,800 refrigerator, but I wouldnt give 2 cents for another one!! My fridge before this was 14 yrs old & was Kenmore, it was ugly & outdated but worked way better than this new Samsung!!!

I am having the same issues that was stated by Sandy. I was and am very disappointed that I feel Samsungs marketing is not telling the truth about this stove. The tech came out today and told me that even though my stove says 350 degrees, it is not because Samsung wanted the energy star rating and that the stove is actually 265 and needs another 15 minutes to be at temperature, even though the stove says 350. He said a lot of companies are doing that now so they can get the rating. The other thing that I am not happy is that the top part of the oven, that says you can bake, you really cannot. It is more of just a broiler. So all my stuff burns, but does not cook in the middle. This is not what I thought I was purchasing.

I bought this French door Samsung refrigerator cause the one that came with the house I bought had died. After looking at both Home Depot, H. H. Gregg, Lowe’s and Best Buy - I settled on this model RF268ABWP at Lowe’s in white. A little background - I went to culinary institute of America at Greystone and have been a professional chef for over 30 years - I know my way around a kitchen and appliances. This Samsung is the worst - there’s just not hardly any storage room in freezer and it continually ices up to the point the drawer/door is open and water/ ice melts on to the kitchen floor. The door at several places has started to rust, underneath the coolselect crisper drawer in the main body of fridge also continually ices up and the drawer starts to be pushed out. Have to thaw ice jam and remove ice sheet and then dry out fridge bottom and freezer drawer bottom. Complete pain in the **. Called Lowe’s customer service and nothing, also called Samsung and nothing no help. After reading and digging around on internet found that it’s a design flaw and company knew about it but refuses to fix. If I could fit on my boat it would be at the bottom of some lake. Complete junk and a waste of over 1400 bucks - my advice to anyone buying a new or used fridge - stay away from Samsung.

Like so many reviewers, we had the same problem with the twin cooling system. We bought the refrigerator from Lowes in October of 2009 on sale. Up until this problem, we were very happy with the refrigerator. Several months ago, the fridge started to make a lot of noise. What the...? Then, I noticed that our milk went bad, before the expiration date. So, my husband used an instant thermometer (therma pen) and our milk was at 58 degrees. Samsung tech support tried to troubleshoot, and blamed our thermometer as the problem! Really? My husband did a lot of internet research, and discovered a video on YouTube on how to fix the problem. Apparently, theres a problem with the coil in the twin cooling area that heats up any ice build-up (Im not mechanic/engineer, so Im explaining as simplified as I can). We emptied the refrigerator and he opened up the twin cooler. There was so much ice build up inside and the motor was frozen solid! No wonder it quit cooling! This is not covered under warranty (ours had expired anyway, though we bought an extended warranty). Using a blow dryer, he patiently thawed out the area and the tube and inserted a copper wire (that the YouTube video said would fix the problem). When he put all the parts back in, the motor started up again! Lets just hope this fix is what the YouTuber swears works. I sure hope so, or were going to have bought another refrigerator. Im happy with our Samsung laptops and TVs, but never again would I buy a Samsung refrigerator! Ill try and update if this is a permanent fix, but its worth a try.

We are having the repairman in on Monday because for the second time in 2 year our Samsung fridge is freezing lettuce and cheese. Yogurt is turning moldy even though there is still 3 weeks left till expiry. When the fridge works it’s great. When this happens it makes me nervous. We do not have an ice maker and I often wonder if it thinks there is one because it makes this strange clunky noises. Last time this happened we had to unplug the fridge so it could thaw out so they could change a part. I sure hope we don’t have to do this again. We only have 1 fridge so it does cause a bit of an inconvenience. My main problem is that we are losing food. This should not happen.

10 months after purchase contacted Samsung 11 months after purchase. Convection fan quit working. Oven wont reach temperature set for oven for example set for 400 but real temperature is 310. Does not cook properly due to oven problem and when it does cook it cooks unevenly. Cooked a meal and turned off oven. Came back 1/2 hour later, glass top was so hot that I could not put my hand on the glass top. I opened the oven door to cool it off and heat pour out of the oven for about 10 minutes (in pulses) and had to switch off breaker in electrical panel. Every so often when temperatures are not working properly the breaker has to be switched off and then on again to reset everything. Call center people generally dont know what they are talking to. Went through them several times then finally got a repair man to visit us. Had to run him down about 3 weeks later and he didnt remember coming to our house and the parts were not ordered.Back to Call Center, general runaround again. Had to check progress a couple of times online. Got very stupid and uninformed answers from them. Finally bugged them long enough that The Presidents Office called and said they would replace the stove. When I asked approximately how long she couldnt tell me.... 10 days or 2 weeks. Would be couriered to our home from their warehouse.....4 hours away??? 10 days later did a follow up and got an e-mail back: This e-mail is to remind you to return your Samsung NE595R0ABWW/AC/ SN: J0WG7DCC - It has been over 7 days and we still have not received the product. If you already sent your defective unit, please disregard this e-mail. Please be sure to return your set as soon as possible to the following address with the prepaid shipping label we e-mailed you.Never received the e-mail the phantom e-mail with shipping label (Why would I ship the stove out without the replacement being here). I phoned the repair station to where I was suppose to send the stove, it was 1 1/2 hours away and it would go right by one of their other stores only 40 minutes from our home. Next e-mail gave me the 1-800 number to phone again, they would help me. And the circle of denial has begun again. There is no honor here because they have not honored their contract (warranty) with the consumer.

After two years, my Samsung SRS594HNSS two-door fridge started to freeze over on the left inside vent. It stopped working shortly after. I had the fridge for 2 1/2 years. When I contacted Samsung, who put me on to their agent, he installed a kit which cost me with labor $AU250. It took five weeks for the kit to come and it was over two months before the job was done. The fridge is now freezing over again. Samsung said it was out of warranty. I told Samsung that no one would buy an expensive fridge that would only last 2 1/2 years. It has been four months now since I contacted Samsung and their agent and the fridge is now 2 years and ten months old. I rang Samsung and they said the kit was under warranty and to call their agent again. The agent wants to charge me all over again for the labor. The agent for Samsung said that he had installed lots of these kits and never had any trouble, which makes me think it is a fault in the fridge. Samsung said it wasnt. Why the kit then? The complaints department staff were courteous and helpful. I realize it is not their fault, but a company policy. I had to buy another fridge during the hot Australian summer while waiting for the repair to be done. I am disappointed with Samsung as I have bought their products before including an expensive washing machine. I wont be buying any Samsung products from now on if they dont do the right thing by me.

Since purchasing in 2012 this refrigerator has been a constant problem. We have had to defrost the freezer 6 times due to ice buildup. And now for the second time the refrigerator is not working. The back panel freezes. The fan then breaks due to the ice buildup which causes the motor to stop. This has happened twice at a $500 cost to fix. Now in addition to the refrigerator not working there is ice building the size of a large melon in the lower right hand interior panel. We have been told this is due to bad insulation and is a product defect. We contacted customer service and they told us the repair company is not Samsung authorized. The Samsung authorized service did not return our calls for service. We have tried them again and they ask we wait 5 days before a serviceman can conduct a home visit. So we have non-working refrigerator. It has been classified as a product defect. We cannot get service. Samsung help desk is not giving us support. A Lemon!!!

I have owned this pricey Samsung Induction Range NE58H9970WS for two years and am having oven issues that I would consider to be safety related. When using the lower section of my flex oven, the broiler in the top section comes on although not in use. It gets extremely hot and oven starts to smoke. On two occasions, the broiler remained on when oven features where all off. We had to turn off the circuit breaker to get it to stop. Samsung has indicated to me that there must be an internal hardware issue (no kidding!). I will be contacting the service technician in our area to have this rectified. Although I do love the induction cooktop, I would not purchase Samsung in future as it was expensive and they appear to have poor customer service.

We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. BUY SMART BY NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR.

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.

We purchased a Samsung glass cooktop stove. Three months after our purchase the glass top cracked. The crack occurred the second time I used the burner. I noticed the crack the next morning when I went to dust the cooktop. A KitchenAid repair person told us, that this happens occasionally with glass cooktops. Glass can have bubbles, etc... This repair is covered under their warranty. Samsung however considers this physical damage and their warranty does not cover physical damage. Nothing bumped the stove or fell on top of the cooktop. We have had a glass cooktop for twenty years, so it took me a while to understand what this meant.Regardless of what is wrong or if there is a defect in the product that results in physical damage, then it is not warranted. I am amazed that they can get away with this. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product and plan to report this to every consumer protection agency I can reach. This is definitely a buyer beware organization. As another reviewer said, their warranty is useless.

We bought a Samsung SMH9187 in April 2011. It started to give intermittent (1/month) SE error and beeping around November 2011. We did not call for repair as the microwave still worked. The microwave completely stopped working in May 2012. We called Samsung to inquire about the error and learn whether there was any chance the warranty would cover it, since it began months before the warranty expired. They attempted to argue that the warranty was from date of manufacture (and thus ended in November 2011, thankful I had my receipt with date of purchase). We were informed that Samsung would pay for the replacement part but not the cost of installing it. Their authorized repair company would call us in 48 hours. We didnt hear anything from them for 5 days. We called Samsung and asked if we could have the part sent directly to us, no, this is against their policy. The authorized service company indicated a cost of $145 to replace the part. However, they cant do anything until Samsung Service includes more information in their service request to the authorized dealer.I contacted Samsung again and asked them to provide me with the part number that needs to be replaced. They gave me the phone number of their authorized parts dealer and told me that this dealer can provide me with the part number. The authorized parts dealer told me that they cant provide me with the part number over the phone. I need to go to their website (samsungparts.com) and look up my model # and use keyword control panel. Im told that the part I need costs $78.98 (she can tell me the price but not the part number?!)I still dont know the part number that Samsung was going to provide me for free, but the website has two parts called control panel for my model of microwave, one of which is $78.98. Luckily, the website does include the part numbers. I checked Sears Parts Direct and found the same part for $40.99. I ordered it, paid $11 shipping, and Im now hoping that the replacement process is relatively simple.I understand that things break, but, after my experience and seeing all the Samsung SE stories on the internet, Samsung products and service are terrible! Im beginning to think that Samsung is purposely making it difficult to learn about the meanings of the error codes and how to repair them, so that you use their service company or buy parts from their overpriced supplier.

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

We purchased the Samsung refrigerator with french doors and icemaker in 2015. By 2018 the icemaker was constantly freezing up and had to be thawed, only to be frozen again in 10-14 days. It is now worthless, as the tray will not even fit into the icemaker casing. This is a known issue with this style refrigerator, yet Samsung is doing nothing. The repairs are way too expensive and even after several service calls and attempts to fix it, they still dont work. Do not purchase this style of Samsung refrigerator because you will encounter many problems with it. Maybe not at first, but give it time. Shame on Samsung for selling such a horrible appliance. There are hundreds, if not thousands of complaints on this product. Save yourself some money and headaches and look at another brand.

I purchased 3 appliances on February 6, 2015. They totaled over $5000. Today, 6 days out of warranty, the water dispenser stopped working on the refrigerator. We have done everything that needs to be done - according to the manual - and it still is not working. I called customer support and 3 times was disconnected. I finally reached someone and felt I had to speak fast or there would be another disconnect. Each person had my phone number and no one called me back. I went through all of the same things I had done before the phone call. When they realized I was 6 days out of warranty, they tried to sell me an extended warranty for $400 +. I said that was absurd so they said since I was a good long term customer, they would send me to their executive support department (or some similar name). I am now sitting with a very expensive refrigerator that does NOT dispense water. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to fix this and am very fed up with Samsung. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again and I have been a long term customer. Another thing, it is very difficult to understand most of your customer service people. There is a disconnect for sure. I was NEVER given a confirmation number, NOTHING.

We purchased this fridge new one month ago, and after repeated attempts by the Samsung authorized repair company, the fridge will still get no colder than 45F. The freezer portion works fine but not the fridge area. I would caution Anyone even considering this fridge to run like the wind to another brand. We liked the size of the unit, but we are bitterly disappointed. It remains to be seen how Samsung will resolve this situation, but we are not hopeful of an easy resolution.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

If there was a negative star... thats what I give our four year old dishwasher. It worked okay for the first year, then dishes were always cruddy, even if we carefully rinsed them. We were forever cleaning it the filter, which was never actually dirty, but to no avail. Then, we started getting the dreaded OE error. Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. DW80F600UTS/AA - We have owned this dishwasher for 18 months. We purchased a new home, and the dishwasher was brand new. After six months the delicate light came on. We did our research and called Samsung. They recommended checking the drain hose and house drain as the error is a drain error. There was no issue, so we disassembled the sump where the screen was to inspect. There was very little amount of debris in the sump. We reassembled and the problem went away. Three months later the same problem occurred, and we went through the same scenario. I finally had enough after the fourth time assembling and disassembling the dishwasher and contacted Samsung. All they would offer was to set up a service ticket now and that it was out of warranty. This issue should not be occurring with a dishwasher that is 18 months old. Stay away from Samsung Dishwashers. They are nothing but a headache.

We purchased a RS277 Samsung refrigerator with french doors. And added a 5 year warranty to be safe. The transaction set us back more than $2,000. Right after the end of the warranty both the refrigerator and freezer parts stopped cooling. I woke up one morning and the temperature was 75 degrees inside the unit resulting in food spoilage. Samsung wants $147 to come and look at it. I see that a lot of reviewers are complaining about the same problem, along with complaints about cheap plastic parts which we have experienced as well. We will not even spend $1 on this appliance. Samsung will not stand behind their products and consider cracked plastic parts user abuse!!! We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. Owned a RF28HFEDTSR Samsung French Door for about 2 years and suddenly the fan in the back of the fridge started making a horrid noise as if it was broken. Opened the back panel to find that the awful design allows for ice to build up back there and clogs the fan and element. I thawed it with a hairdryer, and it was fine again. This repeats every 2 months for about a year. Fan wakes up us in the middle of the night (yeah, that loud). Take out all the food, remove all the shelves, unscrew the frozen-solid screws on the back panel, break the cheaply-made Styrofoam case, sit holding a hairdryer for 45 minutes in the middle of the night. Rinse and repeat. Absolutely maddening. Repair guys cant do anything to remedy this. Then the top icemaker started frosting over constantly and had to have a similar treatment every month or so. After a year of this nonsense, the fridge just stopped cooling altogether. Threw it on the tip.

The rows run vertically and are parallel to each other. They seemed to have been caused when the steel was being rolled or somewhere in the manufacturing process. The spots have started to show signs of rust also. When I contacted Samsung (it took many attempts to get a ticket #), I was told it is a cosmetic problem and not covered. No working fridge for 4 months and counting. I purchased the Samsung 22.3 Cu Ft counter deep Side-by-side refrigerator with thru the door ice and water - stainless steel. Model RS22HDHPNSR on March 21st, 2015. This fridge was to be the center piece of my kitchen renovation. It was my one big shiny splurge, costing me $2100. My fridge worked fine from March 2015 until November 2016, when it stopped compressing cold air. Since the parts were still under warranty Samsung agreed to have technicians from A&E electrical come to my home in Northern California SIX times over a period of FOUR months to replace the compressor, a 4-way valve and a motherboard. They have also reduced the pressure on something and then the next time increased the pressure on that same part. According to my calculations Samsung has paid over $1400 to fix my fridge, which is inefficient for this company and extremely frustrating and time-consuming for me. Each time a technician comes to my home they try to fix it and they cant. When a technician does come to my home it is not trivial. I have to take time away from work and wait for them to arrive over a 4 hour period (9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm). There have been two occasions when the technician had to reschedule because he had overbooked his schedule and one occasion when the technician just didnt turn up and didnt even call to reschedule. When the technician does actually turn up and has attempted to fix my fridge and failed, I immediately call Samsung and then have to explain my situation all over again. I then have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before a technician can come out again. And then the same thing happens all over again! Im at the point now where I have had the fridge finally deemed as unrepairable by a technician and have sent in my proof of purchase and the technicians report to executive customer services by email. Ive also threatened to take legal action if I am not compensated immediately because 4 months without a fridge and two young boys is physically and mentally quite miserable. For me $2100 is just too much money to throw away so I have no choice but to keep fighting this corrupt company. I am very disappointed that Samsung customer service have threaded me along for so long.

I spent 6 months last year dealing with the same problem on my Samsung Refrigerator French Doors as Denise from Eastport, NY. The end result was a manufacturers defect and it was corrected by changing a metal piece which originally was about 2 inches long to a new piece which is now about 4-5 inches long and this allows the fridge to drain the water to the freezer section which it couldnt do before. Before this fix, the back of the refrigerator was full of ice. The temperature control stopped functioning and water was all at the bottom of the drawers since the drain was blocked with ice due to the defective metal piece that was not long enough to allow water to drain. This was very frustrating and, after many phone calls and visits, they realized the defect and changed all the parts again. I was still covered by my insurance plan but what happens to those people who didnt purchase the plan?

We bought a Samsung refrigerator in Dec. 2014 and had nothing but problems with it. This month we finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool product, trashing the 2 1/2 year old Samsung. The ice maker gave us problems from day one. Trying to release a batch of ice manually we broke the flimsy handle. This was reason enough for Samsung service to decline the warranty obligation. For some time we just would not use the ice maker. Then we had a $300 repair. At the same time we had ongoing problems with water collecting in the vegetable bins. The fix by Samsung service was we will send somebody, meaning another $2-300 repair. This apparently is a very common Samsung problem. We cannot afford more costly service. Our regular appliance service person would not touch Samsung products. We know that Samsung makes good electronics (we happily own several of them) BUT NOT APPLIANCES!!!

$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. Was beginning to think this was a pretty good refrigerator, side by side model RS263TDWP. My previous refrigerator lasted at least 12 years, was also purchased at Sears, and was a Kenmore side-by-side. My husband is an A/C Tech...he was able to figure out almost immediately that behind the panel on the refrigeration side (freezer was working perfectly throughout all this) that the evaporative fan motor had gone out. After only two years!! These units should be working without problems for at least 8 to 10 years, even in the modern days of refrigerators being built with a computer brain to run them. We bought the part, he had it in within 5 minutes (which I know is lucky for me, but most people have to pay hundreds of dollars for parts and repair, not to mention the wait time for them to actually get there). But I must mention, when he was looking on Youtube for videos to guide the repair, there were many complaints of this same thing (on the internet) happening to other Samsung refrigerators. This is a middle of the line refrigerator, not a cheap one, and I was under the impression if you pay $1,600 for a fridge that it might actually last longer than two years! Very disappointed...would NOT recommend any Samsung refrigerators, because though they are beautiful to look at, you will more than likely be sorry (if you must have one, I would recommend the extended warranty!).

It started working again, one month later bam now not only the ice maker isnt working the water isnt working. Called my home warranty again, they disconnected something that should have never been put in there. Started working again, now no ice again water works. Called Samsung, told them what I have been going through. They brushed me off. Spent over 1700.00 on this damn appliance that wont even make ice, the filter alone is 50.00 every 6 months to replace.
