Samsung Model # RFG298HDRS/XAA / French doors and bottom freezer - Ice accumulates on the floor of the freezer and jams the door from closing and causing the freezer to run continuously as well as defrosts food inside. Unknown cause... Same thing was happening to our Samsung refrigerator, until water began to build up in the line and pour out. I had to turn the water off going to the refrigerator. The water valve is leaking. There is a Service Bulletin with Samsung... A S C 201 202 22 002. There appears to be a problem with the Valve Assembly and will need to be replaced along with the control board. I have only had the unit for 2 years. Disappointed with this product.

I purchased all Samsung Appliances for my new home to include Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Oven and Front Load Washer and Dryer. The Refrigerator (Model RF253BEAESR) came in with dents and I have tried numerous times to get Samsung to repair and they have refused my requests. They sent someone to verify the dents and the repairman did confirm my complaint but Samsung still refuses to repair. Samsung does not stand by their product and I will never purchase Samsung products again.

I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. The problems were: 1) The hand hold could not be fixed on the door of the refrigerator; 2) The water freezing unit does not operate properly. So, I called Sum Service Company, which is the representative of Samsung in Iran, but no one was responsible for the problems! Once again, I had called the Sum service more than 50 times. After one month, Sum Service Company replaced our refrigerator with a new one. But the new one has the same problem - the water freezing unit still does not operate. I tried asking other consumers and I learned that the water freezing unit basically has this problem. Although Samsung has a worldwide reputation, I regret buying this type of Samsung refrigerator. In the last two months, this issue affected me both mentally and financially. I request you to advise the Sum Service Company about my problem as soon as possible. If you need to contact me, my email address is **.

Glass top extremely difficult to clean. After 2 weeks I returned to Lowes where I purchased it to ask if the glass top was made differently. They recommended a certain cleaner. I had a GE glass top for 15 years before this Samsung and it was never this difficult to clean. Then three months later I noticed a very small crack on the glass top. I called Lowes and they only cover for 30 days because I didnt buy the extended warranty. I called Samsung and sent photos but no response. I cant believe the money I paid for this Samsung stove. The top seems to be made differently. The burner areas look like they have rust on them and burn marks. It looks like I never clean the stove but truthfully that seems to be the only thing I do is clean the stove top. I have tried all glass top cleaners and none seem to work. I hate this stove and recommend anyone that wants to buy a samsung NOT to. It looks awful in my kitchen. Samsung and Lowes dont seem to care about it. They think cause there is a small crack that it was my fault. I swear I did not drop or bang on my new stove to make this crack. I am telling you people that are looking for the new double door Samsung electric range, DONT. I am so disappointed with this product.

As our five year old Samsung refrigerator is now trash (model RB2178AB), time to research before replacing. Loved the fridge, no complaints except for twice having to replace the gallon bin in the door. But last week freezer quit and now fridge. Repair person says a freon leak. Not repairable. Expensive purchase for 5 years of use. With a Samsung dishwasher that has required 5 service visits...no more Samsung appliances for this family!

I tried to warm up some leftovers and the Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST just stopped. I reset the time and tried again only to have the thing display X and 0 and then went dead. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

Had the fridge for about 9 months and a fan started to make noise, then it stopped cooling altogether... Called the local warranty service and waited for over two weeks. Finally called and they were waiting for almost a dozen parts. Still without the fridge for over three weeks. Then the ice couldnt decide whether to dispense ice or water. It would indicate water then dispense ice. Paid more for supposedly a higher quality product but turned out to be a turkey. Never a Samsung product again.

The more I try to cook on this stovetop the more I am convinced that the burners don’t heat correctly. I have bought several new nonstick skillets and they seem ruined after a few times cooking in them. I am not a chef but I am not a novice either. I’ve been cooking for over 30 years and this doesn’t seem right. I usually use the right front burner and go with the medium middle setting, never on high. And then I would turn it down to low and things still get burnt. I dont even want to address your Samsung customer service because I know how they give the runaround. My microwave was defective - I saw sparks flying from the inside and turned it off. They did end up refunding the money for it but I had paid to have someone to install it above the stove so I lost $200 there. Plus I had to jump through many hoops to get a refund.

Samsung DMT800RHW - Any lawyers out there?? While Samsung is aware of the faulty rack clips that break off within a year and lodge within the internal components, causing circulation pump issues, repairs costing upwards of $300, theyve yet to issue a recall or even come to terms with overwhelming consumer reviews and complaints. Something has to be done to protect the consumers. But what? In addition to the clips are the random error codes, frequent unexplained shut downs (requiring a trip to the circuit breaker), this expensive dishwasher is an ABSOLUTE disappointment. Whats worse is Samsung’s lack of any sort of acknowledgement or regard for consumer satisfaction. There has to be people out there that can help... petition? Lawyer? Lawsuit? Contact me if so. Together we can make a difference.

I have just spent the last half hour reading comments on good old Samsung Refrigerator. I have had a problem for the past year and now comes a time. Where do I start? Whats the cost? The digital front settings are being controlled by a ghost; bounces from ice to water, doesnt stop. Cost? Water on the floor. Ice built up on the back of the fridge really thick and water steady on the bottom of the drawers. Cost? Any advice besides throw it to the curb like people have said? Nice fridge; but really, how much money does an average person need to fix repairs? I was going to try and tackle project by myself but will it work or continue the hair dryer every couple of months thawing it out and putting up with dings on the front panel deciding what it wants to do? Any suggestions? Obviously not after reading the reviews. Would never recommend Samsung to anyone. Bad, bad choice I am just fed up with this problem. Thanks Samsung for the Lemon.

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF220NCTASR/AA September 2016 In January. I experienced food poisoning and food spoilage. I bought a thermometer to check temperature and it was hovering at 42 degrees even when turned up all the way! There is no way to know how long this was going on!! Service response was terrible and I was forced to wait almost two weeks for a tech to come out and slap in a new assembly cover on Feb 1st. The next day the problem was worse. The temperature would go from 32-42 degrees in as little as 30 minutes. I still have not been able to use the refrigerator as it is unsafe and they will not come back out to service until Feb 6th. Meanwhile, I have called corporate demanding a new fridge from Samsung, hhgregg and have file complaints with the BBB, local TV stations, and newspaper.

We purchased the microwave on 5/2016 from Best Buy. 7/2016 microwave filter began to pop out randomly once hitting me on my chest, then buttons were pressed on their own as if we had a ghost. Fan turns its self on, the light goes on by itself, a code came on (Samsung comp said disconnect and connect again - WHAT!!!). Geek Squad came and changed the board panel, filter panel, door. Called Samsung company, they sent a tech who changed the SAME thing. The company refused to replace the microwave. Once all was replaced the microwave worked for 1 mo and began to malfunction once more. Now the microwave freezes, we can not press any button on the door, the microwave turns off as if it was unplugged plus all the other things that were wrong with the microwave.I have asked to speak with the manager and all I ever get told is the microwave will be replaced if the SAMSUNG tech recommends it. Hello they work for Samsung it will not get recommended. Well the tech came today. Recommendations replace the door again. Really. That will be the 3rd time. The stove it takes a long time igniting. I was told not to cook with flour (I do not cook with flour). The fridge the ice dispenser it is very small you are lucky if you get 4 cups with ice. Icemaker sweats and drips water inside the fridge. This was the first time we purchased Samsung appliances, and it will be the last one. I should of bought Viking/Frigidaire appliances. I bought this Samsung refrigerator RF217ACPN from Lowes in August of 2011. In July 2013, the display panel failed and made it impossible to turn off the unit or change any settings. I called my repair technician who ordered a replacement display. After being backordered for two months, the item finally came in and he replaced the item on the refrigerator. The replacement failed to fix the problem. I have tried contacting Samsung support and their website is horrible, their chat service abominable and when I did finally get to chat, I was told I would hear from Samsung in two business days. Nothing after 10 days. I cannot find any repair service that will work on this brand. Lowes should not carry Samsung as the product is so bad. Wasted my money. Never again.

We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer
We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

We recently purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (Model#RS22HDHPNSR/AA) back in June from hhgregg. According to the date on the inside panel the refrigerator was built sometime in January 2014. We purchased the unit June 2014 and it’s barely six months later and the refrigerator stopped working! That refrigerator wasn’t cheap in price but obviously that wasn’t the case when it came to its assembly. The refrigerator died on us this past Saturday, October 11, 2014 and I put in a repair request online Sunday via the Samsung website. As I had put all the details required to get the process moving, imagine my surprise when those same details were requested yet again when someone finally got around to calling. So once again I sent the information via the website and my personal email. After sending the information again I was under the impression that a repair person would be sent out ASAP to remedy the malfunctioning refrigerator problem but I was wrong. A repair person didnt show up until Thursday October 16, 2014, five days later. Let me reiterate - five days have passed with us being without a working refrigerator. The repairman arrived before 12pm. He proceeded to inform my mother that he was told that if the refrigerator could be repaired he would repair it. He told us that it would take two to four hours to fix the problem. He checked various aspects of the refrigerator and spoke with someone that I assume was a representative of the Samsung company via his company phone and shortly thereafter around 1:15pm, he went outside. We assumed he went to his truck to retrieve the necessary materials or tools to fix the problem and we haven’t seen the repairman since!!! So, not only have we been without a working refrigerator six days but to add insult to injury the person that the company sent out to repair the malfunctioning unit has left us in a lurch without so much as a word!My mother has been on the phone with numerous company reps since Monday and we have yet to have this situation resolved. The last person she spoke with today (10-17-14) said someone would be out Monday. I wont believe it until I see it. I am quite disgusted with Samsung and personally will NEVER purchase product they create.

I have had my Samsung French door refrigerator for 2 years last September. Thankfully we purchased extended warranty on the appliances. First the defroster had to be upgraded because ice was building up under the deli tray. When they came out to fix that they found out the sensor panel was broken and the ice maker needed upgrades. The ice maker has now had six different upgrades and it still quits working every three months. Samsung says its over a year old so they dont care. The extended warranty company says they didnt come out enough times to consider it a lemon so no exchanges for a refrigerator without an ice maker. Very disappointed and will never buy another Samsung product.

The refrigerator is a French door model sold for over 2000.00 dollars purchased at Lowes. Started out Lowes delivered the wrong model, no ice or water in door. They then told me the one I ordered was no longer available so I would have to pay 300.00 more as this one was not on sale. I paid it, was delivered and the doors were put on wrong. Parts were missing. They did send missing parts. Put them in myself. The refrigerator is noisy, there is no fix. Thats The Way They Are. The worst problem is that the tube in the back, behind the back cover, freezes solid, so the water from defrost cannot drain down. So the water fills up the bottom of the fridge and runs on the floor. If you have wood floors make sure you have a pan under it. Samsung has no service in Milwaukee area or nearby cities, then after 2 years offered to cover replacement parts. Problem is I cannot find an authorized service within 50 miles and to come out it would cost 200 plus dollars. Plus they will not tell me what the fix is even though they have this problem with all their refrigerators. Samsung is the worst product I have purchased. And Lowes should not sell appliances. They are no help.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2013 RS265TDRS. Immediately the ice maker had issues, and I have to continue to defrost the ice maker monthly and the dispenser gets clogged. It was embedded in the door, now I see they have abandoned that approach. My bigger issue is that this year the refrigerator stopped working and wouldnt cool. The temperature gauge showed 38 degrees but it was warm and all food spoiled. Had to pay a repairman to come out and tell us this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators and they need to be defrosted constantly, especially in humid areas and not to use the energy saving setting. He basically indicated the auto defrost is no longer working and it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge than to fix this one. Even though Samsung shows 10 year warranty on the compressor, what good is that if you cant use the fridge after only 6 years and after talking to Samsung they only cover their product for 1 year. Lowes had a 3 year extended warranty. Repairman said he has better experiences with other brands.

I bet we havent used the dishwasher 10 times. We bought it before the condo was finished remodeling. It sat there until the builder could finish so the warranty is right at a year. Even tho we havent been in our condo a year. Its a beach condo so we are not here all the time. You literally have to slam the door to get it started. It washes for 2.58 hours according to the button on top. (If you can get it to run). It stops and starts. We have called Samsung did everything they suggested by unplugging it. Nothing they suggest works. Piece of junk Dont by Samsung dishwasher. Exactly why they dont have a better warranty. Youre just screwed.

Two years ago, we bought a Samsung refrigerator and it has been nothing but a money pit. We bought this from Lowes and it is no secret that this product is a piece of junk. Why would they keep selling them? The thermostat went out 31/2 months ago for a price of $300 and another service call a month before that for a price of $100. Well, the thermostat is out again and Samsung said that the thermostat has only a three-month warranty. The only positive thing I can say is that the set up manual tells you what to do so you can throw it away. I am going to cut my losses and buy a new one. Does Samsung made it or has anything to do with it? I have had my last Samsung product in my house.

Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March 26, 2016. Last week after the holidays on 12/27/17 decided to use the self cleaning oven for very first time (oven was only lightly soiled). I picked the short 2hr cycle since it was the first time using the cleaning feature. About an hour later noticed the display lights were all off and oven was not running. Oven door was locked. The knobs and display panel were hot. Waited for it to cool down for hours. Nothing changed. Luckily the stove top still worked! Called PC Richards for my extended warranty service. A week later the repair tech came and said he has seen this problem many times before and that it is a known design flaw of the range and suggested I clean the stove manually from now on! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing - after spending over $2000.00 on a new range I am supposed to clean it by hand? The tech ordered the 3 hidden thermal fuses and will return to repair when they come in. If that does not unlock the oven door he states it could be that the motherboard was also fried and need to be replaced. Luckily I have an extended warranty but if I attempt to use the self clean again will this happen all over again. I will be contacting Samsung for the answer. I am 60 yrs old and have never had to clean any oven manually before and don’t intend to start now! Apparently this is a known flaw and this product should be recalled by Samsung. I will wait until the tech returns with the parts (hopefully within another 2 weeks) and everything is fixed and then intend to contact Samsung again. This is a major inconvenience, not having an oven for at least 3-4 weeks. I hear the customer service and satisfaction at Samsung is less than adequate but I am relentless and will not accept this situation. I will keep you posted.

My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

It started out that I researched refrigerators thoroughly before buying, went to Home Depot to order and thought everything was fine. I didnt know this until my old broken one was on the truck and they started to install the new one. At that point I called Home Depot and they said, “We’ll return it.” I didnt have a refrigerator that worked, so against my better judgment I kept it thinking its just a different color Samsung, it should be fine.Within weeks we noticed the ice maker wasnt working correctly. It was dripping water, inside and outside down the door. We thought we werent closing the doors correctly, so we just kept wiping up the spills. When I wiped the front of the door, the paint chipped off because water had gone under the paint, rusted the door, and created bubbles. At this point we also saw the ice was jamming in the tray, and we had to keep breaking up the ice.To make a long story short, 3 years and at least 6 (soon to be 7) service calls later, the problem hasnt been fixed. We did buy the 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot, so thankfully all the parts, service and even a new refrigerator door have been covered. The problem is that 3 years later, its still not fixed, and they have replaced everything that can be replaced. The last 2 service calls, were to document that theres nothing more that they can do, and theyre insisting on another because they havent documented things correctly. To say Im frustrated is an understatement. Im disappointed in Samsung as a brand, and furious at Home Depot for the run around theyve been giving me. I will continue to call and have them service this stupid refrigerator until I get a new one. I will keep jumping through their dang hoops, until I get a refrigerator that works, but I WILL NEVER purchase another Samsung or buy another large appliance from Home Depot.

The SE error occurred on a two-year-old over-the-stove microwave. The same thing - unplug, worked for a short time and then nothing but an SE error since. The TV has been a problem as well. Luckily, I had a warranty. But it is less than a year old and I had the entire rear component replaced. Now there is a line on the middle of the picture that will not go away. I think they are just selling junk.

We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

My fridge works fine so far, but Im getting scared reading the other reviews. Our problem so far has been with the water filter. The ones carried by Lowes dont work in our fridge and cant get them anywhere else without ordering online and risking it being the wrong filter. Believe it or not, the notches on one part of the filter are different from the ones carried by Lowes. So far Samsung has said that the filter from their website, which will cost me more money because of shipping charges, is the one that works. Yeah, well see. They just dont seem to care, either Lowes or Samsung.

We purchased the door-in-door, Samsung, side by side refrigerator in November 2016, from Best Buy. We are extremely happy with the larger refrigerator with easy access to beverages. However, the ice maker and water dispenser are the worst. Not only is the ice maker very loud but it ices up and needs to be removed and cleaned out constantly. Also, there isnt any easy access to the ice from inside the door when you need large amounts of ice without taking the unit out. Even with these small problems, the overall reaction is that this was the perfect refrigerator for our family.

BUYER BEWARE!!! “Stainless steel” is a hoax!!! RUST bleeding through on doors and drawer after 1 year-- not covered in HD’s Protection Plan!!! I purchased an attractive Samsung fridge on December 29, 2016 at the Conshohocken Home Depot -- HD ref # ** 33- Wide, 18 cu. ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator. It fit perfectly for my kitchen design. Home Depot delivered months later, and I started using the fridge in May of 2017. However, after one year I noticed spots of rust bleeding through on the sides and front of the top two doors, and on the top of the drawer, as well. As recommended, I clean the fridge with mild soap and water. I called HD Customer Service. The “finish” is not covered in the HD Protection Plan. They called Samsung. Samsung won’t do anything because the one-year warranty expired. So, there’s nothing to do except grin and bear it. Well, there’s no grin on my face -- pretty outrageous!

On that day they postponed again Oct 4th. So Ive been leaving in my house without a refrigerator since then and the worst is that they have the refrigerator in the warehouse but cannot install it because they are overbook or whatever. So please you CANNOT TRUST on Samsung delivery dates and customer service.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. Even if its the cheapest price and you THINK you are getting a good deal. Go with any other brand and save yourself the headaches.

Luckily, they honored the initial repair warranty and the tech came out and fixed it again. Fast forward to 5 months later and now the refrigerator is freezing all of my food. Because the fridge is out of warranty, I will have to pay for a tech to come out and will be charged parts and labor to fix the problem. I have now lost 3 full refrigerator loads of food and am left to resolve the issue on my own. We purchased a very expensive/nice Samsung refrigerator two years ago. Recently we smelled a burning smell and then woke up to find that the entire refrigerator had gone out. The handy dandy electronic panel on the front complete with wifi/music/weather was still working perfectly saying that the fridge was cooling. IT WAS NOT! After, transferring the entire fridge/freezer to multiple coolers on a Sunday we proceeded to call to get a repairman on Monday morning. Well, come to find out not many people can repair these fridges! So, we talked to Samsung customer service who promised to send someone out. A day later, we hear from someone who is coming the next day. Mind you it has now been three days without refrigeration. They finally show up, after we were talked into purchasing a protection plan for another year since ours had expired. After looking at the refrigerator for ten minutes it is decided that the entire compressor is out. They put the fridge right back in place and said they would be in touch. They have to ORDER the compressor (which takes two weeks at least) after they call to get it covered by Samsung. Apparently the compressor is covered for 5 years which means we didnt need to buy the other coverage for $300. I will NEVER buy another Samsung anything and I just want to let everyone else know to steer clear!!!! I hope Samsung will read this and someone up the line at Corporate will take a look at their customer service department!

In April, we purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher from City Furniture. This was a very special treat, as we had used free and 50.00 dishwasher all our married lives. We got a top of the line one, thinking this way, we would not have any repairs for year. How wrong we were. Within a week of having it, the dishwasher flashed a code, and quit. After calling Samsung for three weeks, City Furniture kindly replaced the unit. It ran fine..for a month. Then it quit. Multiple phone calls to Samsung, a month later... its fixed. Ran fine for 2 months. Since then, we have made many, many phone calls to Samsung. They have: Twice sent our repair request to the wrong servicemen. Escalated our call three times... No response... Who does not service this area. When they did finally get hold of the right serviceman he was beyond rude. But I guess if you are the only Samsung serviceman in the ares (he is), you can afford to piss off customers, because what else are they going to do? Then Samsung sent the wrong error code to the repairman. After a month, the part came in. Oh but wrong part, because he had the wrong code. Gave him right code. Still waiting. Months later. We have a $1000 dollar Samsung 8 month old dishwasher that has now been NOT working more often that it has worked. Another call to Samsung yesterday. Their response was well, we have to wait for the technician to file a report before we can do anything. You mean the technician who STILL HASNT COME??? Time for BBB. Do yourselves a favour. Dont buy Samsung.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly $3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help...

Three years ago we purchased brand new Samsung appliances for our remodeled kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! Within 2 1/2 years both ice makers in the refrigerator (model RF323TEDDBSR) stopped working. After 3 repair visits and a 6 week wait for parts to arrive, we paid nearly $400 to have the bottom freezer repaired. It would cost several hundred dollars more to repair the top freezer so we declined to do this. Today, our Samsung electric range (model NE59J7850) overheated and broke. Am happy to be accurate and fair but why isnt same required of company? I owe it to everyone to advise that the Samsung refrigerator is a very poor investment. This refrigerator purchase was part of my kitchen remodel and after just 7 months it has flooded my kitchen floor. Their response when called for service - we can be there in a week. So think twice try any other brand - I have a Kenmore in my barn purchased new 15 years ago that still works and always has - not pretty or stylish but functions.Great difficulty discussing with tel reps due to poor language skills, fairness by a company that was paid on the spot for a product only in use 7 months that does not work as intended is not waiting a 4 days for service. If I had not paid immediately, it would have never been delivered or it would have been removed from my home immediately or I would have received a court action - most likely immediately. Whats fair about that? Whats fair about a refrigerator costing $3000.00 that breaks in 7 months? Whats honest about a refrigerator that makes the promise of quality, etc., that breaks in 7 months?

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs. New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them. Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Dont know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldnt fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We were warned that they never stand behind their warranties, but we bought anyway. Big mistake on our part! We will never buy Samsung again! Please do not make the same mistake we did!

In November 2015 we purchased a Samsung Electric Range with Black Stainless finish. The model number is NE59J7630SG, recently we have noticed that the paint is flaking off around the oven door. Your hands do not come in contact with this area. We contacted Samsung and they told us it was too bad but they call it a cosmetic issue, so it is not covered under any warranty. The Best Buy protection policy does not cover it as well. After viewing many complaints about Samsungs Black stainless issues on the internet, both ranges and refrigerators we decided to push the issue. Samsung said they would send a repair person out but if the issue was deemed cosmetic we would have to pay the $200.00 service call. We have sent pictures and done everything they wanted and they will not back the product. It is my (and many others) opinion that appliances should not have paint peeling off of them after 2 1/2 years.

On April 12, 2017, we bought a Samsung French Door refrigerator with in-door ice maker and water supply, from Home Depot, with a 5 year extended warranty. We loved it, but it has now had 4 ice maker failures, requiring 3 trips by technicians to get it to work again. The ice maker freezes solid and requires extensive defrosting just to get into it to see what is wrong. Unfortunately, this latest time, Samsung says there is nothing wrong with the refrigerator and refused to do anything about replacing it. We are truly disappointed. Needless to say, we will never buy another Samsung appliance.

I complaint to customer care but customer care representative said our company has not covered plastic part under warranty. He demanded rs. 2000/- to replace the tray. After some time I like a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. Sir, I dont understand what is the problem in this fridge. I think this fault is from the company... Pls check your product. Before one year your plastic part was cracked automatically... but your staff said this is not covered by us... Pls tell me what I do... what is my fault? (purchasing your great company Refrigerator) Pls solve my matter.

I have mold in the bottom. There is water everywhere. They said well if you pay us $85.00 to come out and look at the fridge we will come out. This is totally unacceptable. I didnt buy the damn thing. Just saw the problems you are having with your washing machines, I will get a class action against you about this damn refrigerator if you dont call me and come out and replace this ice maker with one that does not leak. WOW - 25 bad reviews in just the past two weeks!! My story is ditto, ditto and ditto. My 2 and 1/2 year old RF261B fridge floods in and under the crisper with such regularity that I now schedule it to be swabbed out on the first of every month! In addition the handle fell off after only a year (and its only myself and my husband in the household so its not like its being abused). Fortunately, he is handy and was able to repair it.The latest problem is that the water dispenser - a feature I love - is now starting to stick intermittently and sometimes cannot be depressed by pushing the glass against the dispenser button, but rather I have to use my finger to depress it in order for it to work. We have always taken good care of our belongings. Our old General Electric fridge was still working great after 24 years when we decided to get a more energy efficient, modern-looking unit. What a mistake that has been! And we paid $1,750 for this constant hassle!Weve put up with this until today, when my husband blew his stack after our monthly dewatering. I contact Samsung Customer Service and she said they had no record of any problems with this model! I copied and pasted several reviews from this site and sent them to her. Since its now out of warranty, she said I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus Rescue Repair program, which is a service option for consumers who are in need of repair on their product. It is a combination repair/extended warranty program. The program includes the both the cost of the needed repair, (all parts AND labor) plus a one year extended service plan. But of course, she couldnt tell me the cost! I have to call another number on Monday to get that bad news! The thing that irked me most is when she said she had the option to report this back to their engineers! What?! Theyre not REQUIRED to report consumer complaints of this nature to R & D!! I also told her that they needed to do a Google search of Problems with Samsung Refrigerators and see how many other people are reporting the same issues. Georgia of Albuquerque - Im with you! I think we should band together and file a class-action lawsuit. What do you other irate consumers think of this idea? Perhaps someone with more legal expertise would offer their opinion as to what they think the chances are of us winning something like this.

Samsung microwave SMH9187B - Microwave goes on for maybe a second, then loses power for a couple of seconds, then gets power again and clock has to be reset, etc. When it shuts itself off, there is an audible click in the control pad, at which time it dies... much like a circuit breaker tripping. The ribbon was stuck to itself and I separated it. Also I have tried cleaning all contacts, etc. and it does not help. Probably 2 years ago I had the control board replaced. Samsung actually covered the cost. Not sure now though. What a piece of garbage!

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. Glad we bought the extra repair service contract which takes effect after the SS warranty. Should have bought a Whirlpool or GE dishwasher.

4 years ago we purchased a Samsung refrigerator with double doors and the freezer in the bottom. After 1 year we started to get frost on the back inside of fridge and also water would fill the bottom of my vegetable drawers. I put up with this until January 2020 when my husband googled the issues and realized the drain tube in the back of fridge was a faulty issue with this product. We thawed out the fridge for 2 days and installed the new drain tube thinking we had the issue resolved. March 5, 2020 I opened the fridge door only to discover the temperature in the fridge was 50 degrees so I pushed the power cool button. The fridge cooled off to 38 degrees again and I thought we were good. This went on for 3 days and we finally had enough. I have purchased a new GE refrigerator and will never purchase another Samsung product.

Samsung is horrible! I purchased a Samsung Bottom Mount Freezer in April of 2010 from Sears. I was told that it was rated five stars by Consumer Reports. Best fridge out there for my price range, according to the sales guy. In August of 2011, my freezer section was heating up. To make a long story short, Samsung told me to deal with it since it has a one year warranty and they dont know how long their appliances last. I called every repair man in my area but no one will work on Samsung because they are so hard to deal with and get parts for.I ended up with Sears Home Appliance Repair. They are the only ones willing to work on this product. Three weeks later and $500.00 worth of meat spoiled, I get the guy to my house only to find out that my condenser and compressor are broken and heating up. Did I mention that I was also getting water in the fridge part under the cold cut drawer, which apparently was caused by a clogged drain line? Really. How does all this happen to a brand new fridge? It takes two weeks to get my parts only to find out that they were already broken when I received them.Another two weeks later, my fridge parts come in. Get this. The freezer section caught on fire as soon as the parts were put in by their certified technician. He soldered through my firewall and burnt out the whole bottom of my freezer. I am told that Samsung and/or Sears will replace the unit for free and that the fridge section is okay to use since the repairman took out all the bad parts. Two days later, the fridge caught on fire again. Luckily, I was home to throw it out my front door at 8 oclock on a Sunday night. My house smells like smoke, all my food is destroyed, and the service woman on the phone had the ** to tell me that I should be grateful that I was offered $500.00 in a voucher to Sears towards a new appliance since their service man did not want to do the job anyway. It took me six days of nonstop phone calls to customer service to get my money back--a full refund. If I did not take three hours a day out of my life to hound every person, I would still be waiting for those people to review my case. All I expect is a product that works longer than one year, is that so bad? And if, for some reason, beyond my control, that appliance stops working, is it wrong to ask for a fair treatment and a full refund to replace it? I had to work hard to get these Customer Service people to treat me like I was a customer. My advice is do not give up. Make them see that they cant keep doing this and get away with it.I am done with any Samsung appliance and I am done with shopping at Sears. They are unfair, rude and thieves. I am happy to get my money back so I can go buy a Frigidaire. They cost a little more but they work. I was fooled by the fancy lights and options. Now, I am going back to simple clean and reliable. Dont buy Samsung. If I wasnt home, what would have happened to my house when the fridge caught on fire? Buyers, beware! They dont care about you; they care about your money!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF28HFEDTSR/AA - what a mistake!
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF28HFEDTSR/AA - what a mistake! Like other consumers, we have had terrible problems with it - problems that are typical and that Samsung does not stand behind. This particular model has an ice maker in the freezer (bottom drawer) and an ice maker in the top (refrigerator door location) where the ice and water are dispensed. The top ice maker freezes up and has to be thawed out constantly and water drips out of the dispenser, itself. This is a common problem and a class action lawsuit has been filed - as Samsung has refused to take responsibility and address the well-known issues! In addition, the plastic shelves crack - for no reason - obviously a defect in the type of plastic that is used in manufacturing the shelves. This is another problem that has been frequently noted by consumers - yet, Samsung refuses to take responsibility. I have many Samsung products in my house - cell phones, televisions, sound bars, etc. I am very disappointed in this refrigerator, and especially in the lack of customer service by Samsung. I will think long and hard before I purchase any other Samsung products. When we first began having the freezing problem, I read on the internet how many others were having the same issue. I contacted Samsung and got nowhere at all. After being tired of constantly having to take a hair dryer and chip away the ice - I called a service to fix it - and they said there really was no fix. I had someone look at it today - and all they could do was what I had been doing - and charged me $80. They did find out that Samsung had managed to develop a fix for the problem and it would cost me between 400 and 600 dollars to do it. The service man and I both agreed that I might as well purchase a new refrigerator. This one is only 3 years old! It began having issues - of course - after the warranty period had ended. Please tell everyone not to buy Samsung appliances!

I bought this dishwasher because it was recommended in the press as a good product. My experience with a Samsung dishwasher is nothing but problems. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes properly even after you rinse them down to start. I have had to replace the pump on this dishwasher twice and the service charge is around 200 dollars a visit. This is over a 28 month period. My advice to anyone wishing to buy a Samsung dishwasher should look at another product and leave this one alone.

It appears as though the rear of the freezer is freezing up as the fan is now making a noise. The noise comes and goes as the fan blade chips away at the ice buildup. I called Samsung and they suggested lowering the freezer temp to the lowest setting. After doing some research, it certainly appears that the coils are freezing up and the fan is hitting the ice. I also assume at some point the fan will fail leaving my refrigerator useless like it has for so many other consumers. Apparently there is not a fix for this? Many people have spent hundreds of dollars replacing coils then the problem comes back. I also see that a class action suit has been filed because of this problem. Samsung needs to address this issue that they apparently were aware of when selling the refrigerators.

I cant describe how horrible experience I have with Samsung product, lets begin, in 2013 I bought Samsung French door refrigerator ( RFG297HDRS/XAA) from Best Buy and I paid extra for extended warranty (which I found out it is not extended warranty. It is duplicated warranty). Now in 2016 it is broke down. I talked to Samsung few times. There is no authorized repair center close by and they had to talk to Sears Service but make long story short the estimate of repair is around $600 maybe even more for replacing control board. I recommend to stay with common brand like Whirlpool or Kenmore, Amman instead of paying more for some foreign brand which it cost a lot to repair plus they have very short life.

We purchased a Samsung side by side at Conn’s a few months ago and specifically chose Samsung over the other brands because we had good experiences with phones, a TV and a number of other items from that brand. Well, 2 weeks ago, the refrigerator quit working and all of our food went bad. At first, I wasnt concerned, because it is still within the warranty period. I called Conn’s and they started the repair order. The problem came when Samsung couldnt find a local service provider to come out and repair it. Last week, they told me that they would allow us to exchange it for a new unit if they didnt find someone by Monday. Monday, they said they were still processing the claim. It has now been two weeks and Samsung says that it will take up to 7 more business days for them to decide what to do. In the meantime, we have lost a couple of hundred dollars worth of food and havent had a working refrigerator in weeks. I understand that things happen, but when you pay to purchase a fairly expensive appliance new from what is supposed to be a reputable brand, you expect that issues will be taken care of in a more timely manner. Eating out is costing us even more money and I dont think it is unreasonable to expect that a refrigerator can be repaired or replaced within the first two weeks.

We purchased a Samsung (Mod RF267AB) French door refrigerator, and within 18 months, we had issues with water pooling in the pan under the deli pullout drawer. Since we had an extended warranty through Lowes, we had it fixed. Since that time, the same problem has been fixed two more times with no success. (Each visit has been a different repair guy, so no commonality there.) The last time, the technician also adjusted the level and tilted the fridge back saying that may help it drain! Starting yesterday, the upper cooling fan has begun growling. I need to call Lowes service to get them out again, and of course, it’s also not draining again. When we originally researched the unit, we consulted the leading consumer products reporting magazines article on refrigerators at the time where it was a top rated model along with the GE model we looked at, which apparently was the same one manufactured by Samsung for GE.
