Bought this fridge in April 2016 had ice maker replaced November 2016. Ice maker sheet if ice could not use was replaced. Now April 2017 ice maker iced over. Call again for service was told my warranty was expired but they would give me extension to have it replaced again. I called April 17 for service. They set the appointment for 4-28. They text me the name of company ticket number and phone number. Well of course no one showed up or called. I called Samsung repair service, was told the service center cancelled my appointment after I took the day off work. Well anyone that has dealt with Samsung knows they make you so mad you end up hanging up on them. So now to file a complaint with the BBB. As Ive seen all the complaints they cant do anything about it. Samsung should not be allowed to sell this junk.

I purchase a Samsung 4 door refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA around October/November 2013. Since then the icemaker has never worked properly even after I called a technician to come fix it and constantly defrosting the icemaker because ice built up inside and it would not work at all. NOW the refrigerator will not cool down... stays around 53 degrees and that is too warm to keep milk and other luncheon meat fresh up to expire date. The worst thing is I have not had it even 4 years yet. Looking at some of the other reviews, I now see that it was a mistake to buy SAMSUNG appliances... I have a Samsung top load washing machine also and see there was a recall on some models. Anyways if it is too costly to have this Fridge fix I will cut my losses and just buy another refrigerator. I strongly feel that SAMSUNG should take responsibility and recall this model. Since that is not likely I will never buy NOTHING Samsung again.

I like the look of the Samsung range. I’m currently on my second one as the first one had lasted about ten years before the circuit board in the back burnt out. I spent about $75 for a new board thinking that it would be good for another ten years however, it only last another two months. Therefore I just bought a new one that looked exactly the same. I had the old one recycled. The new convection oven works much better than the old one. It moves the air in a much better way to more evenly cook whatever is in the oven. This new Samsung seems easier to clean and keep clean as well. I really appreciate that I can still find the same looking model type many years later. The stainless steel finish exactly matches all of the other older Samsung appliances in the kitchen.

First the reason for my review is to warn consumers about a Samsung refrigerator and I dont want them to make the same mistake that I made. If I could do it all over again, I would have kept my old refrigerator or got a different brand. I bought this mess of a refrigerator in September 2013. I bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1500.00 and a 5-year warranty with it. I am so glad I did because it’s been problems every since I had it. I had a technician come out to replace different parts on this refrigerator at least 3 times since 2013. The ice maker keeps messing up and not producing ice. If you leave the door open for at least 15 minutes then close the door, it won’t produce ice. The water freezes up and it won’t produce ice either. I hate I even bought this freakin Samsung refrigerator. After my warranty is up, I will sell it and get another refrigerator. The only reason why I am keeping it is because it is still up under warranty. I will not be able to afford for a technician to keep coming out after the warranty has expired. Damn you Samsung and the people who put this refrigerator together. If I could shove this refrigerator up their butt, I would. Please, Im begging the consumers, DONT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Costco, Model # DW80K2021US. Samsung had its own warranty on it for one year and Costco was kind enough to place a two year warranty on it. I purchased it in June 2017 and it just quit on me October 2019. These should last longer than that but they are absolute junk. The water pump is gone, and it will cost at least $300 to fix - The dishwasher on sale was $499. Costco, please dont carry this junk or anything like it from Samsung. Costco will just get a bad rep from selling these bad products. Stay away from anything labelled Samsung.

We purchased a refrigerator from Samsung in late June at Lowes. From the moment it was set up, its ice bin and chute have frosted over. I called and Samsung sent us new parts after refusing to set up a service call even though I told them the ice maker was not the problem. After the new ice maker didnt fix the problem, I called again. A service call was set up and we needed a new trap door for the ice maker/water dispenser. That took two service calls and three weeks. Now, the water dispenser leaks out of the area behind the ice maker dispenser and the lights on the display panel are starting to not work.We got a phone call last week from Samsung to ask us how the service call went. I told the person on the phone it still wasnt fixed and she replied that we could exchange or return the fridge. She said Samsung would call Lowes and get it taken care of and we would hear from Lowes in 2-3 business days. I waited several days and didnt hear anything. So I called Lowes, who has not heard from Samsung. So I called Samsung only to be told that the fridge could not be returned or exchanged and we would have to have another service call. This is ridiculous. The fridge is breaking, one thing after another, and I cannot get anyone to help us return it.

We bought the expensive, beautiful, black stainless 4 door refrigerator for our new construction kitchen. Within 6 months, the ice maker froze - the inside becomes a block of ice. It now does this every 2-4 weeks. Because of the time involved in thawing it out, we are without the ice maker more often than not. Samsung is no help at all. They are aware of the problem, but have no remedy. Save yourself money and aggravation and avoid Samsung, its junk.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2013 RS265TDRS. Immediately the ice maker had issues, and I have to continue to defrost the ice maker monthly and the dispenser gets clogged. It was embedded in the door, now I see they have abandoned that approach. My bigger issue is that this year the refrigerator stopped working and wouldnt cool. The temperature gauge showed 38 degrees but it was warm and all food spoiled. Had to pay a repairman to come out and tell us this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators and they need to be defrosted constantly, especially in humid areas and not to use the energy saving setting. He basically indicated the auto defrost is no longer working and it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge than to fix this one. Even though Samsung shows 10 year warranty on the compressor, what good is that if you cant use the fridge after only 6 years and after talking to Samsung they only cover their product for 1 year. Lowes had a 3 year extended warranty. Repairman said he has better experiences with other brands.

On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

The control panel went bad, and the unit (two years old, gently used) flashed an error message. Its a common display, from what I learned online. Samsung makes a microwave with oven lights and fan to fit over an oven but cant tolerate the heat and vapor that rises from the stove. Many, many of such units have suffered control panel failure. I called Samsung and outlined the problem. That was almost two weeks ago. The Samsung representative said I would receive a call within two days with information about who would repair the unit at no cost to me. The company would extend the warranty for this repair because of design flaws. Then, she said, I would receive a call within no more than two additional days from the repair company to set a date and time for the replacement. Ive received no calls from anybody about this problem. Im trying now to retrace my earlier call, and its frustrating. I want my microwave repaired, and Samsung is not cooperating after promising my satisfaction.

I finally got my dream house in 2012, so I was excited to be able to buy all new, top of the line kitchen appliances! My husband told the salesman that he loves bells and whistles and that was the wrong thing to say! However, our excitement was short lived when each appliance started having problems. First was the dishwasher, next the refrigerator, then the range, and last of all the over the stove microwave. This all started just as soon as the one year warranty ran out.The smooth top, convection range causes me to burn food due to its constantly increasing temperature to high, no matter what its set on. The fan in the convection oven rattles. The icemaker of the 4 door French door fridge stopped working. The dishwasher throws out numerous error codes and stops working. The microwave constantly blows light bulbs and it starts running every time you open the door. We paid a small fortune to get these beautiful appliances for our fabulous new kitchen and wouldnt complain if we had bought them for looks only! Do yourself a favor and buy something that works and AVOID SAMSUNG!

Weve owned this fridge since 3/29/10. Weve had nothing but problems with it ever since. Every time theres a power failure in our area, the digital panel needs to be reset, which has been a difficult process to accomplish. Last June, our freezer started making loud rattling type noise. I had to have the Defrost Sensor replaced as it was faulty and causing excess ice to build up on the fan in the interior of the freezer. Well, now the freezer is doing the very same thing. I called Samsung again last night expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction with this fridge thats only two years old! Since my unit is out of warranty, they originally told me there was nothing they could do about it. I told them thats what I was told last June when I called with the freezer issue and at that time, I was given a warranty extension and the repair was made free of charge. This time, after insistence on my end, I was offered again a free repair or a refund prorated of my purchase price. I chose the refund since Ive had enough with the issues with this fridge. I paid $899.99 for the fridge on sale from Sears, it was originally $1299.99. I was offered a prorated refund of $719.99, which reflects a 10% depreciation for each year of ownership. I said, I think Samsung should stand behind their product and give me a full refund of my purchase price since this fridge has been brought with issues for the last 2 years. I was told a prorated refund was my best option. I now am waiting for the refund check to come in the mail and then go shopping for another fridge. I will never ever buy any Samsung products again. Once I have my new fridge in place, I then have to cut the power cord off my fridge and mail that and the serial number sticker from the interior of the fridge back to Samsung. Their refrigerators should not be allowed to be sold any where.

My gas range was purchased at a local hardware store and installed just 4 months ago. No extended warranty purchased so I had to deal directly with Samsung. It has been 3 weeks since the gas company shut off my gas & determined the range was leaking 10 times the allowable limit of carbon monoxide. After 3 weeks of deliberations, Samsung is reimbursing me for the purchase price of the range rather than replacing it. We bought a whole new kitchen set, all Samsung. The dishwasher did not work from day 1. It arrives dead on arrival. We were renovating our kitchen so we were not able to install it until about a month and a half after receiving it from the store. It did not work. Lights just flashed on the display and that’s all it did. No one informed us when we bought the set that there was a 30 day replacement clause, Samsung insisted on fixing it and would not exchange it. 4 visits from a tech and a month and a half later the dishwasher is finally fixed. They replaced all boards inside as well as the door switch and wiring harness. Still not working. We paid for a proper working dishwasher and are left with a refurbished unit if they ever get it working. Samsung was not helpful at all. Not willing to stand behind their products even when it arrived with a factory flaw. I would never buy a Samsung product ever again because of this terrible customer service and lack of standing behind their product. I would recommend that no one support this terrible company. Like so many reviewers, we had the same problem with the twin cooling system. We bought the refrigerator from Lowes in October of 2009 on sale. Up until this problem, we were very happy with the refrigerator. Several months ago, the fridge started to make a lot of noise. What the...? Then, I noticed that our milk went bad, before the expiration date. So, my husband used an instant thermometer (therma pen) and our milk was at 58 degrees. Samsung tech support tried to troubleshoot, and blamed our thermometer as the problem! Really? My husband did a lot of internet research, and discovered a video on YouTube on how to fix the problem. Apparently, theres a problem with the coil in the twin cooling area that heats up any ice build-up (Im not mechanic/engineer, so Im explaining as simplified as I can). We emptied the refrigerator and he opened up the twin cooler. There was so much ice build up inside and the motor was frozen solid! No wonder it quit cooling! This is not covered under warranty (ours had expired anyway, though we bought an extended warranty). Using a blow dryer, he patiently thawed out the area and the tube and inserted a copper wire (that the YouTube video said would fix the problem). When he put all the parts back in, the motor started up again! Lets just hope this fix is what the YouTuber swears works. I sure hope so, or were going to have bought another refrigerator. Im happy with our Samsung laptops and TVs, but never again would I buy a Samsung refrigerator! Ill try and update if this is a permanent fix, but its worth a try.

I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in July 2013. I didnt have any problems with the unit initially. Well as soon as the one year warranty expired the fan started making a loud weird sound. The noise got louder and louder, evidently the refrigerator wasnt cooling. I call Samsungs crappy customer service and they insisted on walking me through a step by step problem solving. I was so frustrated with them. I assured them that everything imaginable just short of throwing it out the back door was done trying to find out what was wrong. Of course, they made sure to inform me that the unit was no longer under warranty and Id have to pay for any repairs, but a technician wouldnt be available until January 7, 2015. I called on December 20, 2015. I was furious and expressed that with the person on the other line, but she didnt seem to care. The refrigerator still isnt cooling. Im just glad I have the old refrigerator in the garage that I replaced the Samsung crap with and it works. I would never again buy a Samsung. They should be better with the consumer. Such a Lemon!!!

I purchased 4 Samsung appliances for my kitchen and had to repair 3 out of the 4. But by far, the stove has been the worst. Since the beginning, the stove would not keep the set temperature. I would preheat it, it would hit the set temperature and then begin declining after about 5 minutes. Significantly declining- continuously dropping. I had to have a repair person out 3 times to fix it- which meant I had to wait at home 4 hours each time. I was promised a refund 3 different times when they deemed it irreparable. I would be waiting for my refund so I could purchase a different (not Samsung) oven and would call them back only to be told that my refund had been denied (even after receiving refund acceptance texts) for various reasons. They never contacted me to tell me that it had been denied- just left me waiting. Each time, I was asked to resend a different document (receipt, picture of serial number, etc) that I had already sent them previously. Each time I called (a total of 6 times), I had to wait on hold for at least an hour. I would be promised, promised, promised that they would take care of me and then nothing. The last customer service representative I had even refused to read documentation of my experience to explain my frustration. So...the product is faulty and customer service is lacking. Stay far, far away from Samsung appliances. Hopefully, you will learn from my mistake.

ICE MAKER compartment freezes up every 2-3 weeks. Must defrost and reset to get working again. This has been going on for last 2 years on a 5 year old fridge. Samsung COULD NOT CARE LESS. Out of warranty, out of warranty, out of warranty. Sorry for the inconvenience, here’s a phone number of a repairman. This design defect is widely publicized on social media. I asked Samsung if there is a cure for this I’d gladly fix it myself but they WILL NOT SHARE this information. I’m done with anything Samsung makes. Their service is a joke.

I purchased this product (Side by Side Show Case Refrigerator) in December thinking I was getting a good reliable product. Needless to say I had a problem with frost building up in the freezer in a so call frost free refrigerator. Samsung would continue to state that it was normal that seems to be their line they use so they do not have to replace. I had the problem right away. If they send someone out three times for the same thing policy is that they need to replace if cant repair. So if they cant replace it they will tell you its normal so they wont have to replace. I had another problem with the ice maker crushing the ice in cube mode. Of course I was told that this is normal too. I was able to get it replaced by Home Depot after having numerous contacts and pictures and technicians coming out. I was hoping that was going to be the last of my nightmare but that is not the case. The new replacement 2/23/2016 does the same thing. They replaced the hinges cause the door make a grinding noise. I was told to give it 3 weeks to settle. So far it still is making the same noise. Now with the frost in the freezer and the ice crunching ice in cube setting and now there is moisture building inside the containers in the fridge. Now from the reviews and my experience its going to be a unpleasant battle with Samsung not standing by their product. I would think twice about purchasing this product because if you have any problems you more then likely would have to deal with it. If Samsung know that these are known issues they should make it known to the consumers and if not then stand by their products.

WOW - 25 bad reviews in just the past two weeks!! My story is ditto, ditto and ditto. My 2 and 1/2 year old RF261B fridge floods in and under the crisper with such regularity that I now schedule it to be swabbed out on the first of every month! In addition the handle fell off after only a year (and its only myself and my husband in the household so its not like its being abused). Fortunately, he is handy and was able to repair it.The latest problem is that the water dispenser - a feature I love - is now starting to stick intermittently and sometimes cannot be depressed by pushing the glass against the dispenser button, but rather I have to use my finger to depress it in order for it to work. We have always taken good care of our belongings. Our old General Electric fridge was still working great after 24 years when we decided to get a more energy efficient, modern-looking unit. What a mistake that has been! And we paid $1,750 for this constant hassle!Weve put up with this until today, when my husband blew his stack after our monthly dewatering. I contact Samsung Customer Service and she said they had no record of any problems with this model! I copied and pasted several reviews from this site and sent them to her. Since its now out of warranty, she said I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus Rescue Repair program, which is a service option for consumers who are in need of repair on their product. It is a combination repair/extended warranty program. The program includes the both the cost of the needed repair, (all parts AND labor) plus a one year extended service plan. But of course, she couldnt tell me the cost! I have to call another number on Monday to get that bad news! The thing that irked me most is when she said she had the option to report this back to their engineers! What?! Theyre not REQUIRED to report consumer complaints of this nature to R & D!! I also told her that they needed to do a Google search of Problems with Samsung Refrigerators and see how many other people are reporting the same issues. Georgia of Albuquerque - Im with you! I think we should band together and file a class-action lawsuit. What do you other irate consumers think of this idea? Perhaps someone with more legal expertise would offer their opinion as to what they think the chances are of us winning something like this.

If there was a negative star... thats what I give our four year old dishwasher. It worked okay for the first year, then dishes were always cruddy, even if we carefully rinsed them. We were forever cleaning it the filter, which was never actually dirty, but to no avail. Then, we started getting the dreaded OE error. Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

We purchased the Samsung 3 door refrigerator in June of 2015. It started leaking water in July of 2016. Samsungs recommended repair company in our area has been to our home three times. Nothing theyve done has fixed the problem. The water has been turned off and disconnected and the line drained. After three water (or something) is still leaking into the deli drawer and onto the floor. We filed a formal complaint with Samsung last week, the only response weve gotten is that it was received. The guy who left the message said, You know, were a little busy right now. I will never buy another Samsung product. Looking for a class action suit to join, and found this. Samsung RS267TDPN - Do your research before considering this model! I have owned mine barely 3 yrs and have had major problems with the freezer side two times. In both cases, the freezer side seized to cool properly. In this last round, the temperature was 25-40 degrees (f) and would not get any cooler which meant the ice maker also stopped working. The first problem was repaired while under warranty. For my current problem, I am now having to pay out of pocket to replace the evap temp sensor and the Heater sheath assembly due to burnt wires. These are part of the EVAP assembly and are located in the lower freezer section and behind a plastic panel thus I assume it to be a defect with the unit and not something that could have been caused by user neglect. I also owned a Samsung over-the-range microwave oven which failed prematurely therefore I now question the quality of Samsung kitchen appliances.

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a fridge on the week of Black Friday 2014, the day of the delivery they called me saying it was damaged, and I would get a new one in 3 days, I let 2 weeks pass and I still havent received a new fridge. I went to Home Depot and they called Samsung and said that my delivery address always changed to Arcadia (I live in Palmdale), we fixed the delivery address after Samsung has said I changed it, which I didnt! And they would deliver it the first week of January, a whole month after I initially ordered it. When the day of the delivery came, the fridge was damaged for a SECOND time, and not to mention the unprofessionalism from the 2 delivery associates. They urged us to keep the damaged one, we declined. We had to wait again for another fridge. We called for compensation they promised us 200$ dollars that would take 6 weeks to process. Its been 3 months and I called them today and they said they denied my compensation. SAMSUNG is horrible, I will definitely never recommend Samsung to anybody and I will make sure corporate hears about this!

Our Samsung RF220N refrigerator was delivered by Best Buy in May 2014. It failed in August 2018. It is now February 2019, and we are into month 6 of the warranty process, without satisfaction. Samsung Authorized repair people determined that the sealed refrigeration system had failed. This was 4 years and 4 months into the 5-year warranty for the closed system. The authorized repair people tried 4 times to repair the system with OEM parts. Each time it has failed within 36 hours. One set of OEM parts from Samsung arrived already broken inside the shipping box. The authorized service company has declared the refrigerator not-repairable using Samsungs own process, yet Samsung will not authorize a replacement or reimbursement, as provided by their own warranty.Samsung Customer Service prevaricates, obfuscates, misdirects, and does not return promised calls/texts/emails. They regularly deny my fridge is under warranty, despite my repeated submission of documentation. I have never spoken to the same person twice, and I suspect they use pseudonyms so contact info can be lost. They deny receiving my emails, and texts, and routinely claim that the last Customer Service person I talked to did not make any notes in the file. They have changed my claim ticket number 8 times. By the bye, the current number is in the 5 billion, 120 millions. That is over 16 claim numbers for every person in the US. At 8 numbers Ive fallen behind the national average. I suspect Samsung is delaying my claim until the warranty period has expired, and then they will deny all responsibility whatsoever. Our extended family has had several other Samsung devices fail: clothes washer, clothes dryer & DVD player. Need I mention the flammable self-combusting cell phones? Fortunately we never had the ice maker in this fridge connected to our plumbing, or we would likely have been in the claims process after only 1 year. Maybe we were unfortunate in that we might have ditched this faulty device long ago. I sincerely believe that a $1500 refrigerator should last longer than my electric toothbrush. We will never buy another Samsung product (yes, we are slow learners). Nevertheless, Never Again.

Its completely unbelievable!Hours on the phone with Home Depot (where we bought the additional warranty) and they send us to Samsung & Samsung sends us to National Factory Service for diagnostic and at a cost to us: $85. I bought RF28HDEDBSR Samsung french door refrigerator in Nov 2014 from Home Depot Canada with ESP for 4 years. Come Feb 2017, the refrigerator started making annoying sounds, sometimes for the whole day. I requested a service under ESP with Comerco. Response I got that as long as the sound is not affecting the functionality of the unit, they cant fix it. Within a week or so the fridge stopped working (freezer part was fine). I filed another complaint to Comerco, the technician visited us and said a part needs to be replaced and it would take 1-2 weeks to come as it was back ordered. We were without the fridge for more than 2 weeks. Anyways, within 10 days or so the part was replaced and we were able to use the fridge. Like they say good times never last for long, it happened again. The refrigerator stopped working again in August 2017 (similar to the last time it started with the unit making loud noise). I called up Comerco again, this time I asked them to provide me a permanent solution to the problem. Its been more than a week now when we are without the fridge. According to comerco, it might take another 1-2 weeks to get it fixed as the part is back ordered (as usual). So big NO to the Samsung refrigerators. Problems with Home Depots extended service plan with comerco will be explained in a different review.

I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.

Just got the dreaded SE error code. I tried powering off, resetting with the clear/start hold and nothing. I called Samsung and got the traditional response, We can set up a maintenance appointment which will cost you ... No thanks, I would love to be part of a class action. This does seem senseless since they have been aware of this problem. The fix is about as much as the microwave. Ugh!

My icemaker dispenser stopped dispensing cubed ice. It still dispensed crushed ice and water. I called Samsung for factory authorized service. They arranged for one of their authorized repair serviceman to perform repair. I watched as he called Samsung to talk to a tech. Im an electrician and it became apparent to me he did not know what he was doing. He listened to the tech and using his meter, he checked several connections on the printed circuit board. Several times, he was checking the wrong terminals and had to ask the tech to repeat where to check. He said he needed to order parts and would be back in a few weeks. When he returned, he installed the parts and said everything was working. I paid $433.77. Later, I noticed there was no ice being made. When I tried the dispenser, it no longer tried to dispense any ice cubed or crushed. I called Samsung to complain. I was given a phone number to call. The person there listened to the trouble I was having and said the parts replaced would not have fixed my problem. He said he would send out parts and arrange for a different repair company to install. When the new repair person arrived, he listened to my problem and said the parts sent would not fix the trouble. He checked out a few things. When he put the parts back together, the water dispenser no longer worked. He said he would need to call Samsung for parts and left. After two weeks, I called to find out the status. I was told that Samsung would not authorize any farther repair but nobody bothered to call me.I called Samsung again and was told they were sorry about the misunderstanding and issued a new work order number. A few days later, I received an email stating the work order number was cancelled. Another call, another order number and again another cancel email. Again, I called, got a new number and again a few days later, a cancel e-mail. I called again, this time, I was asked to hold. Before the operator put me on hold, I heard him say to someone else, Its that (my name) again. What do you want to do? Then he hit the hold button. When he came back on line, he said Samsung was no longer going to attempt any repair. When I stated that I was out $433 and my unit was worse than when their repair people started working on it, he stated, Sorry but youre on your own. This story has been abbreviated for space allowed. This exchange went on for almost three months and involved many, many phone calls and e-mails. It involved nine different service order numbers, most of which were cancelled within days of being issued. Do not buy any Samsung product. They will not stand behind it with quality service and will just try to drag out the problem until you go away.

Samsung Model RF28HMEDBSR. Worst ice maker I have ever had. The cubes come out like large crushed ice. The ice maker had to be replaced, about 6 months ago, now it is doing the same thing freezing up and has to be manually defrosted to work again (about every 2 weeks). The refrigerator is nosier than most - I can handle that - but I like my ice. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone that like their ice.Updated on 03/23/2018: Well I am back to the repair mode--ice maker worked for a while. I have had to defrost it twice this month and today when the tech came out, it was frozen up so bad that he had trouble removing the ice bin. Sigh! -They are going to replace the icemaker AGAIN. Thank God for the extended warranty.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model # RS263TD1BP. This refrigerator was manufactured in 2012 which has a design problem. Ice builds around the cooling coils which allows the refrigerator to completely shutdown. The refrigerator only maintains temperatures at the bottom, and is hot throughout all levels of the unit. Apparently the sensor that is attached to the cooling system which does not regulate the system to adjust after it reaches a certain temperature. A service repairman removed the back panel and had to take a steamer to defrost the ice. It took over 55 minutes to defrost the ice and replace the back panel. This is a design and manufacturing problem. Samsung knew that this problem exist, but continues to put this product on the market for customers to purchase. The warranty states that this should be covered, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge that this issue is not covered, and is left up to the customer to pay for their mistake. I have contacted Samsung over 25 times, and cant get to the Executive Level. I am sharing my level of frustration because the average lifetime of any household appliance should be longer than 3 years. Refrigerators are suppose to last. This is a design problem and all of these refrigerators should be RECALLED! Customers that purchased the SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE BOTTOM PULL OUT FREEZER EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM several years ago and their units were replaced. Apparently, the problem is now existing in the 2-door side by side units as well.THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM. ICE BUILDS UP AROUND THE COPPER COILS WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERATOR TO stop regulating temperatures evenly throughout the refrigerator. The top and middle of the refrigerator is extremely hot and the bottom is extremely cold. Samsung should issue a recall of these appliances because they knew it was defected before putting these refrigerators on the market.Samsung Refrigerators are not constructed very well and apparently, this product does not have longevity. Too many consumers are complaining about this particular product. If complaints are being made, Samsung is aware of this malfunction and should take total responsibility and implement a recall. Samsung knew that this product was defective. A refrigerator is a household appliance that should last about on the average of 15-20 years. I sought out to buy a new refrigerator, a Samsung not because of need but desire. I was remodeling my kitchen, and I owned an Amana for 17 years. AND - this refrigerator never had one problem.

Simply DO NOT BUY IT! The SAMSUNG dishwasher DW80F600UTB is by far the worst purchase that everyone shall avoid. Acquired one unit in Aug 31, 2013 at Future Shop Calgary, Canada. The machine was delivered on Sept 6, 2013. It worked marginally well up to Nov 3, 2013 (not even 2 months of use). On this fatidic day, the machine started leaving food residue and unfinished, not washed glasses, and from this point and on, my WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! In a nutshell, I spent hours and hours on the phone with SAMSUNG (UN)SUPPORT Services(?). They sent me one local (not SAMSUNG) technician that pinpointed several problems (from the Pump up to Water Pressure). After 7 (SEVEN) visits and lots of parts replacement, the technician finally agreed that the machine was NO GOOD! Note: SAMSUNG will only replace your dishwater if their technician agrees that the machine is NO GOOD. In July 2014, I received the NEW UNIT from SAMSUNG but need to pay freight and installation again. The new unit worked marginally well up to February 2015.At this point I decided to wash the same batch of dishes at least 3 and 4 times, and tomorrow (Dec 28, 2015) I will buy a REAL DISHWASHER! This DW80F600UTB has serious design issues not recognized by SAMSUNG. On this regard, I would like to join BORIS of Calgary to enter in a fully documented and water-tight lawsuit against SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG must understand that we, customers, are not idiots nor money grow on trees to be spent in such a JUNK equipment.

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

DW80F800UWS - Do not buy!! Junk. Lasted 11 months and broke. Need software update and an updated part. Took almost 2 weeks to come out and fix. 2 months later broke again, new problem. Now I have to wait another week for extended warranty to come out. Also inside was covered in a white residue. Samsung tech stated it was due to soap...dishwasher soap not good for a dishwasher! Says they only recommend finish but it says that nowhere in any Samsung paperwork. Again its junk, save time and money!!!

Sure wish we had done some research before buying a Samsung fridge. After 3 years ours was getting so much water in the veggie drawers and in the freezer we had to defrost it. Had so much ice built up that the freezer drawer would not shut tight. I called Samsung and they had never heard of this problem. This is B.S. They dont listen. I will never buy another Samsung product. Should have stayed with Kenmore. Have never had a problem with their fridges. Our Samsung is a double door with the freezer on the bottom. We purchased it in Oct. 2014. I will let family & friends know DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG.

Once again I just used a hair dryer to thaw out the ice maker on our Samsung RF22KREDBSR/AAQ manufactured APR 2016. Just got through using a hair dryer to defrost the ice maker again, every 4-6 weeks. Seems to be a common problem with no solution from the blogs. Really got nowhere with Samsung, just a scripted response. It appears that this is still a major issue with their re-design, maybe this design should be included in a class action lawsuit. I will not be looking at any Samsung product in the future. It is also getting more difficult to get the ice bucket back in.

I have a 4 year old top of the line Samsung electric cooktop/oven that has always worked great, up until several months ago when it almost blew up. Many others have reported having the main computer board fail/catch fire. Mine was the 2 main oven heating, element wires at the solder connection app heating up, sagging and touched back metal panel. Wires shorted, blowing them off the oven. Luckily breaker tripped, shutting off power to oven, one wire did catch fire briefly. Dont remember what the warranty did cost but the 5 year one is prob worth it on the expensive ones. I looked at the back with the panel off and a thousand dollar unit has the same build quality as the 200 dollar one. **.

The knobs on the slide in electric range with the knobs on the front turn too easily. At least twice we have had dishes explode due to the knobs turning from just leaning against them. My 2 year old can easily turn the knobs on and off. Numerous times I have come into the kitchen to see one of the burners red from accidentally being turned on. The most recent dish explosion was today. I had set a bowl of squash on top of the over and about 10 minutes later I could smell something burning, I came out and the cooktop was set too high (I must have leaned up against it at some point), I immediately shut it off and the dish exploded, there was glass all over me, the counter, floor, I stepped on a piece that was in back of me and cut my foot. I was also holding my toddler at the time and I’m thankful none of the glass got in her eyes. There were shards of glass all over the place, we have a dog and two small children. This is very unsafe and Samsung really needs to address the unsafe design of these knobs. You barely have to push on them to turn them, this is a huge safety concern, especially as a fire hazard.

I am the only one in the home so I don’t run it every day but once I did begin to use it and not even 2 months later had to have the pump replaced. One month later YET another repair! Spoke to a representative who said they would refund my money and she would send me an email with how to get this. Received the email and provided them with everything they wanted. Waited a month and No refund check. Called NUMEROUS time to take 10 minutes of explaining to have them transfer me to claims where THEY DO NOT ANSWER AND YOURE ON HOLD FOREVER!!!I called numerous days in a row and have sent emails every day with no response!!! HORRIBLE!!! So I called and explained to Home Depot and they said there is nothing they can do! It is absolutely ridiculous!!! Pay over 400$ for something and it is not overused and you can’t even use it!!! For Home Depot to support this manufacturer is very sad!!! Will NEVER buy from Home Depot again! Nor will I tell anyone to purchase Samsung!!

Bought a Samsung dishwasher, model 80F600UTS. I have had nothing but trouble with it. The first thing was a sensor for hot water that broke. The repairman knew what was wrong but had to go through the Samsung hoops before he was allowed to order the correct part. This was several weeks and six repair visits later. I was fortunate it was still under warranty. It broke again, it is about one and a half years old. The same sensor board broke, but for water level. O, that was replaced, now out of warranty. Today, about a month from the last repair, it has broke again. The same lights are flashing so I can only assume it is the same board again. The repairman is on his way again. I am thinking of scrapping the dishwasher and getting a different one, NOT SAMSUNG. The repairs are now almost as much as the dishwasher cost. Bad experience, piece of junk dishwasher and Samsung has not really cared. The warranty is up and they are not responsible. BEWARE.

Purchased a French door, lower freezer Samsung fridge from Lowes in 2009. I have a 25 year old Jenaire fridge in the garage that I have never spent a dime on for repairs. I had had multiple problems with the Samsung fridge, including having to replace the ice maker, some other parts that caused the fridge to stop cooling (about $400.00). The ice maker has always leaked water the first time it is used, causing stains down the front of the door & pooling on top of the freezer door. Now my newest problem is that the door that has the ice maker is rusting through, particularly around the ice maker but also at the bottom. My fear is that the insulation in the door is covered In mold.

Refrigerator was leaking sheets of ice under freezer for months. Samsung kept having us try different things to resolve the problem. I was trying to cooperate but Samsung should have replaced the refrigerator. I was repeatedly pulling out sheets of ice. 2 months after the one-yr warranty expired, we woke up to a flood thru our kitchen wall behind the refrigerator to our dining room. $1200.00 in damages we had to pay. Samsung promised they would honor the warranty because it was a continuing problem. After poor customer service, disorganization, and six months of grief, they then said no they would not even cover $400.00 of the damage. We will never buy another Samsung appliance. Very sad. We purchased a Samsung RF G298HD in 2011, which has run quite well. We have not had an issue with either ice maker. The large drawer needed to be replaced under warranty due to not opening easily. Our issue with this unit is all the plastic trim work is either cracking or just falling off. With a purchase price of over $2300, I would expect better quality. The end caps to the handles are plastic and fall off regularly. One on the shelves in the side door is cracking. I would expect more out of a company for the price that we paid for this inferior product.

So I purchase 2 Samsung smooth top convection ovens July 27th 2017 for a small in home commercial kitchen. The use of these ovens would not exceed what any normal home would do in a year as my business is somewhat seasonal and a very small operation. In June of 2019 I noticed one of them not holding its temperature. It would be set at 350 and would actually be 405, or 215. I had a repair tech come out and after trying else we replaced the main brain. This sadly did not fix the issue. Then in August the other oven started doing the same thing. After exhausting every fix the repair technician said that there is nothing else to replace so maybe call Samsung and ask them to do something. After three months of being told they will get back to me with a resolution not once did they contact me back, as promised, until I got cross with them and demanded some kind of answer. Well there out is my little operation! I was told that even one week of use in a commercial setting voids all warranty and that I would have to just get them fixed. HOW!!!! The Samsung repair technician has already tried replacing everything. Never buy Samsung appliances. Just sayin.

After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. This is a problem with the way the stove vents - it should be covered under the warranty. I am very unhappy.

I finally became so angry that nothing was being accomplished that I told the lady I was going to hang up and let her figure out what was happening to my service request & call me back...and, if I did not hear back from her in a reasonable time period I was going to return this abomination. We had our Samsung fridge for 3 years in July and the compressor decided to fail, with the warranty expiring after 2 years. However, Samsung organized a repair agent to attend at a cost of $130 for an onsite visit to tell me it was the compressor and that it would be covered under warranty as the compressor has a 5-year warranty on it. That was great so they organized an agent to attend again (Samsung Plaza) to pick up the fridge, so I waited all day and they never showed up. Then the following week, they finally picked it up. After a week of them repairing the fridge, they delivered it back. They delivered it in the pouring rain, it was windy and they were in a rush. In such a rush, the truck door smashed the side of my fridge. As they brought it into my house, they scratched and dented my door on my house. They broke the wheel underneath the fridge and pushed it along my floor boards. They have now made a mess of my floors by denting the floor boards from my door all the way to where the fridge is located. When they left, I went to shut the door and noticed pieces of the fridge on the floor and as I looked down, I noticed the door on my house was damaged and the massive dents in my floor. I then contacted them straight away to tell them because by this stage, the delivery guys had driven off. I had a 3-month-old baby in my hand at the time. Thats why I hadnt followed them out. When I reported it, they were great and shocked about what had happened and were making a case of it.After many, many calls since 9th August 2012, they finally decided to approve they would repair the damage. I have spent time getting quotes for the door and my floor to be fixed and forward them on. I then had the owner of Samsung Plaza come out to view the damage and she advised she would send me a check for the door to be repaired but had someone she knew who would fix my floor. Since then I have again made many, many calls and emails and really havent got anywhere. I was advised a repair guy would come 31 October and had a call in the morning to cancel. I then told her that I had the painter coming out to repair the door and needed the check for payment and she advised she would send it in the mail. This has never been seen. I have contacted her chasing the check and the repair guy and always am told, Ill call you back. I have been pretty patient and its wearing very thin now after almost months of this. I need help on getting to the bottom of this. In the meantime, I have another Samsung agent attend to pick up and repair the broken wheel on my fridge.
