I have always been a fan of SAMSUNG products, so when I was gifted with a refrigerator I decided to upgrade my other appliances to SAMSUNG during Christmas of 2020. Installation was very quick. Trust me when I say SAMSUNG did not disappoint. My range is an electric ceramic top with convection model. It bakes very nicely and the cooktop cooks nice and evenly. Although it seems as though the bottom drawer is not as deep as my other range, it seems as though the inside of the oven was a little bigger. In regard to appearance, although stainless steel seems to be the rage right now, I opted for white and it is just as sleek and attractive. It is easy to use, easy to clean and I could see myself purchasing SAMSUNG appliances again!
We had had many different errors snd seemed to be able to clear with what was in the guide. Almost 5 years to the date and 5e error we could not clear. So to repair would be over $600.00. This is so sad. We paid 1,600.00 and only got 5 years. We are a senior household so not overused. Just very disappointed. Wont buy a Samsung dishwasher again. We are now having trouble with the microwave same collection same age.
We too bought a Samsung RF266ABRS/XAA - this is a French door, bottom mount fridge in September 2009. Though I have been happy with the design, mechanically this system is problematic. We have consistently had issue with the water pooling/freezing under the deli drawer. The Twin Cooling panel on the inside/rear of the unit was replaced in 2011 and now again in 2013. Our service rep told us the unit has a design flaw in the way it seals. Both times have been out of our pocket though I will be pulling my warranty information as it sounds as though another writer says it MIGHT be covered under a 5 year warranty for the Twin Cooling system. I wont even THINK about another SAMSUNG and will be careful to ascertain if the next brand is manufactured by the same outfit. Oh yes, this time our ice maker went out as well.
We bought Samsung, French Door Refrigerator (Model No. 220NCTASE/AA) in January, 2014 from local Leons. Its working fine, but two days we noticed the fridge is not cool as usual and I adjusted the temperature to make cooler, same as for the freezer. And it seemed nothing happens after 24 hours. Then I tried unplugged and re-plugged the power, and waited another 24 hours, I still cant feel any cold air from the fridge and freezer. I am for sure its stopped work just after two years.I then called Samsung support 1-800 phone number and got answered with 10 minutes, unexpected really short wait time. The girl said that she needs to transfer to technical support number. Well after 30 minutes of waiting I got hung up. I re-called the 1-800 phone number again, it happens the same. I tried to re-called the 1-800 from my cell phone and got the same hung up. This is really frustrated getting technical support from Samsung. How could be a big company like Samsung with BAD customer services? The bad thing is that we recently bought a Samsung washer. Well, from now on we will stay away from Samsung brand.
I needed a 24 inch deep refrigerator and this was just right. I've had the refrigerator for over 5 years and it has been good. The best part is if you have a problem, you call a number and a technician tells you what to do. I would recommend Samsung to all my friends.
We paid a small fortune for a french-door dual drawer refrigerator less than 5 years ago. The icemaker went out in less than 3 years! The thermostat went out in less than 4 years! The sealed system went out in less than 5 years! The fan went out in less than 5 years! The covers need replacing less than 5 years! We have had technician after technician try to fix this thing to no avail! We called Samsung and got nothing! Three people from Samsung told us, You should be happy that you got almost 5 years out of it. Are you kidding me?! In case you havent noticed, Im pissed! Our old Kenmore lasted over 20 years!
The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. They say get the repairs done - and you have to use their service department - and then they will see if they can help. No, not going to do it. Buying a different brand and will never buy a Samsung again. Fair warning.
We had trouble with our fridge from day one. This was 3 years ago, well before the current onslaught of consumers with huge problems, so we received a refund after 5 non-repairs. Thousands of consumers have been defrauded and this company should have been forced to recall the 20+ models that are, very simply, crap. Samsung has tried over and over to make consumers pay for repairs, which do not fix the problems anyway. They, also, try to dupe people that they are out of warranty, while this is NOT a warranty issue. It is a design flaw, which his company knows very well and refuses to resolve without extreme stress for its purchasers. Shame on them.
My french door refrigerator from Samsung has to be the worst product we have ever purchased. We have to defrost this thing every other month. The repair company I had come out said he really couldnt do anything. I paid too much money for this refrigerator to throw it out but I really hate this refrigerator. We have purchased other Samsung products but I think they need to get out of the appliance business and stick to electronic.
I had my Samsung side-by-side fridge repaired less than a year ago. The fan motor sounds like a lawn mower and it has started up again. It stops when you open the freezer door but as soon as it closes, the noise starts right back up. It is constant and driving me crazy, not to mention, embarrassing when you have guest visiting. I will have to call out a repair guy again. The last one said there was ice build that was causing the noise. This is the worst purchase of my life! This product is less than 3 years old!
I bought a side by side fridge, cost a fortune! First the bottom drawer developed ice inside, the repairman replaced the rubber seal. Then the warranty ran out. Immediately after, the water dispense spat water out fast. Because of the dripping, the bottom drawer handle is now rusted. Samsung accepts no responsibility for a less than 2 1/2 old fridge rusting. Now it makes as much noise as a chainsaw, Samsung again accepts no responsibility as it is out of warranty. NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE!!!
We purchased the Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator Freezer (RH22H9010R/AA) and we are having MAJOR issues with the freezer, ice maker, Frost accumulating on the shelves. Call 1800Samsung seeking help 4 times. Tech person walked us through but one day later the problems reoccur especially, ice maker shuts down, Frost on shelves. Here is my latest ticket number **. Our purchase was made about four years ago. IS THIS APPLIANCE CLASSIFIED AS A LEMON...
I bought a French door refrigerator with the cooling shelves 11 months ago and it stop working. The compressor went out and after trying 10 days for Samsung to service it I give up and exchange it for a different brand. Would never buy that brand again.
Hate the stove, definitely not worth the price. GE products far surpass. I have had nothing but problems! Like everyone else you cant keep the ceramic top clean or free of blemishes if you try to polish it, it will permanently take the shine off. The oven is off by 25 degrees and had to be recalibrated - why do I need to play tech. Mind you, I live alone and barely cook the other day opened the door there was one screw missing on the hinge and all the rest were loose. Spent hours on the phone. They explained it was out of warranty so sad too bad! Who would ever think to check screws when you buy a $800 range. To top it off they couldnt be bothered to send me a simple screw. My suggestion is go to store, buy a oven thermometer, see what your oven is putting out then recalibrate your temp yourself, you will have much better luck if you have bought 1 of their LEMONS.
Stove turns on while leaning over stove with the slightest touch. Stove top has started my sleeve on fire and on other occasions turned on leaking gas causing a back flash explosion when turning on other burner. Unit needs to be recalled.
This dishwasher has served us very well. It is amazingly quiet and cleans very well. Internal space is very good and allows user to load a generous amount of dishes, silverware, and glassware. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit.
Bought a Samsung Refrigerator in Feb 2015. In May of 2016 the Fridge part stopped cooling and I lost everything in the top. Called Repair as the Fridge is not under warranty. The service man made 5 trips out and 2 parts and now it is Sept 7 2016 and it is making a noise so long had to unplug it. It was frozen up again in the fridge part and was not cooling up to 62 degrees even though there is ice frozen to coils. Service could not even get panel off until it thawed for 24 hours or more. I still do not have a refrigerator working. The freezer still works fine like others have said. I am getting the run around and given a ticket number and no service guy will come out (they said they can not get answers from tech support) and there is no wiring diagram as other appliances have. Do your research. Do not buy Samsung!
Ive had this Samsung (Model RS277ACPN) for 4 yrs now. Its a replacement for the first one I purchased in 2007, in which the motherboard became inoperable. Ive been finding plastic bits/shavings in my drinks. I have discovered its a result of plastic parts that have broken or fallen apart. At first discovery, I choked on the tiny piece. I cleaned out the ice compartment and discovered the broken plastic mechanism. I would recommend they replace these parts with a metal alloy to prevent someone from choking and filing a lawsuit. Despite this problem, I still like my Samsung products. I also own a Samsung washer, dryer, and television which have served me well.
Samsung smh9187st - Building a new house and having an old Emerson counter microwave, I put in the Samsung consumer report highly rated at the time in to find out the Samsung company does not even stand behind its products. For three years after installing it I did not use it since my Emerson worked fine. After the birth of my twins I started using it (16 months ago). First the door latch broke, no problem. I just fixed it. Next dreaded SE code put card board in between ribbon. Okay back in service. Yesterday while heating water for warming of twins milk, thing dies completely. Thank you Emerson at least your product is still working after more than ten years. After reading all I have on this issue Samsung products will not be bought by me ever again.
I purchased a Samsung kitchen package on 3/27/2014. On 4/5/2015 I put on the self cleaning mode. The oven worked for approx. 30 mins. and the oven shut off and cannot be used. The oven door is locked shut.
First the handle fell off and CS sent another, then the other handle fell off. Then the water dispenser developed a leak and flooded the interior. Then it peed on the floor over and over so I cannot use the water function. Then the bottom grill popped off and wont go back on. Now the freezer is on the blink. Cold foods stay cold is the only positive thing I have to say. Never again.
In 2015, we purchased a $1200.00 Samsung Dishwasher, model DW80J755 Series, and started having problems in April of 2018 with an error code LC. The repair was made under warranty and also was found that the dishwasher had faulty installation of the waterline, which was crimped. The same error code LC, was again present on the dishwasher of June 2019. Once again, a repair was done to rectify this problem and it was under warranty. Forward to November 2020, and for the third time in as many years, the error code LC came up. The dishwasher is no longer under warranty by 3 weeks. A call to the appliance store we bought it from, said they would send an estimator out for $175.00 just for an estimate which didn’t cover repair, labor or parts! A call to Samsung’s Customer Service on Nov. 23rd, had the gentleman tell me because this has been an ongoing problem for the last 3 years, we qualify for a new dishwasher. The process was to give me a ticket # (**), send it for approval and someone would call & email me within 3-5 business days. As of today, Dec. 3rd, no one has contacted us and so I called Samsung to get an update only to be told that it is still being reviewed. Then I was told that they couldn’t accommodate us with repairs or a new dishwasher. Then they put me over to their Exchange & Refund team where Chris pretended, he didn’t hear me talking after saying Hello, Hello, Hello, 3 times, and he hung up on me. So, here we are with a $1200.00, 5-year-old dishwasher that has had the same error code 3 years in a row and have gotten no satisfaction from the manufacturer and no use of the dishwasher for almost 2 weeks!
I purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove) last year around July 4th during a sale at Lowes. I took delivery at different times as all items were not in stock. A year and 2 weeks later, the ice maker has stopped working. When I originally noticed that no ice was being made, the ice tray (where the ice cubes are made) was froze up. I removed the excess ice and waited. Nothing. I researched on the internet and tried to fix the problem myself. Changed the filter, checked water line and then hit the reset button. The ice maker will make one batch of ice and then no more.I called Samsung and because the warranty was out by 2 weeks, they wanted $160 service call, plus parts and additional labor, if necessary. I declined. I called Lowes to see if they would stand by their product and help. Nothing. I understand that the warranty is out, by two weeks, but I would like Lowes and Samsung would stand behind their products more and support their customers. I would understand if we were talking months or years, but this is two weeks. Actually less, if I consider when I actually took possession of the refrigerator, because it was after the July 4th date and the failure was actually before I reported it to Samsung and Lowes. To top it off, the price of a new ice maker is only $123, which I have on order now. So the $160 service call, plus parts and labor seems a little excessive. In addition to the refrigerator ice maker issue, the dishwasher does not clean as well as my 15 year old working Whirlpool that I removed. And 80% of the time has a foul odor in it, the day after washing dishes. The microwave has worked, but has a very annoying design feature. You can not operate the microwave and use the kitchen timer at the same time. Very poor design. If I had to do it all over again, I would have paid a little more and went with Whirlpool products instead of buying the Samsung products. I will not make that mistake again and do not plan on buying any products from them and will favor doing business with Home Depot over Lowes if I have a choice.
This a wonderful Refrigerator. Lots of room and very strong door shelves. One holds a gallon of Milk and a gallon of Pickles at all times. There is truly an abundance of LED lighting. I also enjoy the power cool and freeze features. The only thing that is the slightest of issues is its very hard close the freezer door quietly in the middle of the night. There is a pretty loud click when it locks shuts. My wife says Im nitpicking. I probably am.
I bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen package when I remodeled 2 years ago. Im not sure it ever cooled as cold as previous fridges, but this one is different. The controls are different, very different. Gone is the dial that goes from off to high cool. A panel of buttons and lights, hold this button down for three seconds for this, 5 seconds for that, hold down both at the same time for 5 seconds for that, this is on when that light is off. If it stops cooling it might have gone back to show room mode etc.The fridge might run fine but I am unable to find the right variation of buttons and lights to push for how long at the right time. The manual and online is no help at all. There doesnt seem to be a Samsung rep to call, Ive decided to have it hauled off and buy something with an on and off switch. The fins might be clogged up but they are inaccessible for home owners. Repair people want $200 just to show up and that does not apply to repair. Extra to diagnose. It would be very easy to pay more for repair than I paid for the fridge. They seem to deny there is a warranty or it would apply to my issue.
Turned the oven on this evening. It wouldnt heat past 150. There appears to be no sound coming from the fan. I cant believe that a Samsung appliance would stop working this quickly. Called Samsung and they said Out of warranty. So sorry youre screwed. I absolutely will never buy another Samsung Appliance again.
Samsung SMH9187ST - After about one and one half years of use, our OTR started beeping and having the SE error show up on the screen. Nothing works except the light inside the oven. We have tried unplugging it, etc and nothing has helped. It hasnt worked since the SE error has shown up and we paid good money for a product, and expected it to work longer than this. After doing some research, we found that many other people have had the same issue but this model has still not been recalled by Samsung, which is disappointing. This OTR is obviously garbage.
The Samsung French door refrigerator with pull out drawer and gobs of electronic features is a Lemon... Im extremely disappointed and feel ripped off! The ice maker drips water, freezes over, doesnt make ice and is expensive to repair. Samsung needs to recall their ice makers or buy back these very expensive, poorly made refrigerators! Dont buy!
DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!!! Dishwasher lasted month. Supposedly black stainless is nothing more than a film cover over cheap flimsy thin stainless. Customer service is garbage the absolute worst. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!!! WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED BY GARBAGE APPLIANCES. And shame on Home Depot for not standing by us.
I purchased model NE59J7850WS/AA. It was not heating properly and I called to have it serviced. When the service tech came out he stated that they had several problems with this unit and thats just the way it was. He didnt even have a thermometer with him to check if the oven was heating properly. After using my own thermometer he made a few calls and replaced the entire board in the back. Its working better but does not heat evenly. The newest issue is that the glass top is really hard to keep clean. Ive had glass top stoves before and never had a problem like this. We called service and was told if it isnt a manufacturer defect we would have to pay for the service call. I think the most insulting thing was she was trying to tell us we didnt know how to clean the cooktop. I will never purchase another Samsung product. I dont believe they are a quality product.
I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.
Bought Samsung range, refrigerator and microwave at the beginning of 2013. The microwave died after 2 days and the Lowes representative let us return it. He said he had seen a lot of problems, so we got a GE instead. The touch pad on the range never worked properly and have had techs out here 6 times. They can never fix it in one call. They have to diagnose, then order parts. It is now broken again and we are due to have a tech come out on September 1st. Every time they come, I have to miss 1/2 a day of work. No weekend appointments available. The handle on the refrigerator broke off and they repaired that. Now the plastic shelves are breaking. These products are very cheaply made. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
Bought 5 new Samsung appliances in February and now the compressor in fridge has failed. Samsung will not replace fridge and I have to pay to have fridge removed from home to shop for repairs and back again. Now realizing that buying Samsung appliances was a huge mistake, never had luck with their DVD players and should have known better. Will stay away from Samsung in future for sure.
Got the 5E error code after a month of purchase. Technician came out and fixed it. I should of researched this product before buying. Technician had to come out 3 more times for the exact same error code, half the time not finding anything wrong (of course). Its now 1 month past warranty and does the same thing. I took it apart, checked hoses, cleaned all filters, cleaned the pump and still no dice. It is obviously a common problem with these units and has nothing to do with a kinked drain hose or whatever else they try to say.Easy way to check this: put a few cups of water into the dishwasher prior to starting it. The first thing it does on any wash cycle is drain whatever water is in there. Open it up when it pauses to change to the wash cycle (2 mins or so) and if the water is gone then obviously nothing is wrong with the pump or check valve or hose. It doesnt crap out until after the 1st wash cycle and does this immediately. Circuit board maybe?? I dont know but I do know that Im not taking this B.S. after shelling out $700.Customer service is joke, and after 9 calls and 2 emails, I finally talked with a floor manager. He understands my frustrations and is very sorry and he can set up an appointment to get it serviced which I will have to pay for. I asked him if he knows basic math and if you multiply the average service calls per year to maintain this one of kind Samsung beauty, if it would be worth it to him. He didnt seem to understand this so I walked him through it: 4 x $150 = $600.Ding Ding Ding. Thats right smart guy, I might as well buy a new dishwasher. So he transferred me to customer relations. They agreed to make a one time exception and pay for the repairs. I told him to prepare for one hell of an exceptional bill because Im going to make sure they replace every possible part on this P.O.S.
I wish I could give less than one star because thats how disgusted I am with my French door Samsung refrigerator. I purchased it about four years ago. After two years I finally figured out that it was icing up in the back and fortunately it was still under a warranty I had purchased with Lowes but it took close to a month to get all the parts etc. Also lost lots of food. Now again 2 years later the same thing. I called Samsung and became even more irate with the callous we dont give a crap attitude. This refrigerator needs to be recalled and Samsung sued because a company with morals would at least attempt to make a better product after so many of the same problems for so many years. This was to hopefully be my last refrigerator and now I cant even afford to fix the stupid thing. You can add me to the class action lawsuit as well and Samsung needs to recall and take responsibility for wasting our money. I also have a child and infant in the house - Im fearful that someone will end up with food poisoning. This is a huge safety issue Samsung!!!Updated on 07/03/2015: I finally threw most of my food away and pulled the plug on the fridge. It took three days but it finally defrosted. I then plugged it back in and for the time being it is cold and working fine. I suspect that I will end up doing this several times this year but as stupid as it sounds Im bound and determined to get a little more use out of it. So if anyone is in the same situation you might try to unplug, defrost it manually and plug it back in. Hope this can help somebody.
Purchased a brand new Samsung dishwasher in November 2010. Immediately we had some type of electrical problems. Every time we went to use the washer we had to reset the breaker to get it to turn on. The electrical panel was eventually replaced after waiting months for the part. The same thing continued so the entire dishwasher was replaced in June, 2011. In October, we experienced our first error code message related to drainage. Found to be debris blocking the drain hose. In December had the upper rack bracket break loose. Weeks later had the same drainage error code appeared again. Technician found the plastic bracket pieces in the pump clogging the drain. Bracket was replaced but eventually broke again and became lodged in pump, requiring another service call. About six months ago a new error code appeared approx halfway through the cycle. Technician advised that it pertained to a water level issue. It was one of three things - the panel, the sensor or the level gauge. To repair could be costly as it would be hit or miss. We contacted Samsung and advised them of the problem. At first we were dealing with a woman who appeared very nice (by email). We eventually spoke by phone to a gentleman who just stated that they would only work on the dishwasher if it was still under the one year warranty. Although the warranty was technically up I questioned the fact that two units malfunctioned so obviously it was a manufacturers problems and the warranty should be voided... Well it is now July 2013 and Samsung has still not said, We stand by our products so we will replace the dishwasher..... Hey Samsung...... stick to phones. Leave the appliances to the experts.
2 years 6 months after I purchased my refrigerator, stove and microwave range top, 2 out of 3 have broke! I cant believe when I went to search for possible problems for my refrigerator ice maker not working, water does not work and it sounds like an army helicopter is behind it that there was no company backup on this problem. They apologize and offered four $416.00 extended warranty. Im going to deliver this back to Best Buy and park in a parking spot with a sign on it! Class action lawsuit in my book!!!
Purchased Samsung Model #RF217ACRS - had same issue with water leak in fruit bin. Per service tech model is known for freezing up (within rear panel) thus causing motor to overwork & burn out (where I am now). Replacing & NEVER purchasing Samsung appliance again!!! Samsung get your ish together!!
DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES! Consumer Alert - Do Not Buy Samsung Kitchen Appliances. In 2017, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator, Range, Microwave and Dishwasher. 3 years later, all but the range have required repair two or more times! Our dishwasher has been out service for nearly 8 weeks now. JCPenneys is gone, Asurion Warranty won’t replace it because it’s a service warranty only. A&E Factory Service kept us waiting all day, showed up at 6pm to tell us that the technician that was here two weeks ago was wrong; we need a different part and they can’t come back for 17 more days! Calling A&E’s “Customer Service” connects you to some foreign country and a rep that reads to you off a scripted cue card and suggests you should use the website for ‘better service’! May I repeat.... DON’T BUY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCES!
I have a Samsung refrigerator that is 1.5 years old and the refrigerator does not cool. I spoke to customer service and the man was rude. He said that I had to pay to have a certified rep to come out and if it was under warranty they would pay for that but not the visit. I dont have a rep within 20 miles and I live in Detroit. Home Depot said that they have the worst appliances. I have the stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. I wish that I would have done more research. Ive wasted tons of food because it may work for a day or two before it goes out.
Less than 3 years old Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Icing up and water on the bottom all of the time. They apparently used butane instead of freon gas in these for what reason I dont know. Ive read many of the same complaints. I have bubbling on the top of my plastic on the refrigerator inside as well. It has to have come from high heat. It truly sad that Samsung and every other refrigerator company is making their refrigerators substandard for what we are paying for them now! They used to last for 50 years.
Had dishwasher 2 years. My contractor handled first 3 service calls in time right after bought. He had family issues as well as me. Washer works intermittently long cycle > 4 hours then stops altogether not to mention water pools in bottom. I usually add bleach when I smell it. So I call because its Xmas and I cannot use washer other than as dish drying rack. Buy extended warranty. Call. Guy comes out. He can get it working, needed part. Comes back, puts new part in. Said normal 4 hr cycle. Mind you washer is 6-8 feet from Insta hot water heater. In California should be banned. No Appliance running water should run this long. Now its Easter and I have a dishwasher that runs hours! On normal cycle sold as energy efficient. Ha! Maybe if you add rage the times it does not work with the long cycle. And this is normal.
I have bought microwave, fridge, cell phones, stove, dishwasher and TV. All Samsung. The only thing working good is the TV, everything else started breaking down a year after we bought. We have become experts in fixing the fridge because the service on them sucks. You get the tech come over and they say they have no clue about them and charge you. And same problem occur 2 weeks later. Would never buy Samsung again.
I am a single divorced guy, microwave is a blessing for me as dont have to heat up the whole leftovers - just the amount want to consume. It involves less wastage of fuel & unnecessary time. Microwaves are great & a big help.
RF266AEPN/XAA - Purchased 8-2012. Pbm began July 2014. The fan made a loud racket. Sears was great. Repairman said it was due to fan hitting against ice built up on drain tubes caused by putting hot food in refrig (steam turned to ice). Food safety requires hot foods must be refrigerated! I now have to defrost my refrig & freezer for 2 days to install a $200 kit to prevent this from happening again... It should have never happened in the first place. What an inconvenience. While Samsung denies having a problem, they conveniently have a repair kit specifically designed for the Non Problem. It is a beautiful and functional refrigerator but I am disgusted with Samsung. If make a mistake, admit it, fix it and people will respect you. Samsung responsibility is to reimburse everyone for the kit and the cost of installation.
Two year old French door Samsung. Purchased warranty. Ice has always been frosty, half crushed, never a normal ice cube. One repairman said it is because the ice is too cold! He said turn it off every night, back on in the morning! One repairman said the year mine was made, they all make terrible ice. Changed filter and it completely flooded the kitchen and down into the freezer. Why should we have to pay over a hundred dollars a year for filters? I never changed a filter in a fridge before. We do not drink the water from the door. Samsung should recall these machines and replace them!!
We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in July, 2015 and immediately noticed loud popping and cracking noises. I contacted Samsung and was told this was normal due to our purchase of a model with automatic defrost. (Is there a manufacturer that still makes a manual defrost refrigerator?) No help here, so later I began a Live Chat on Samsungs website to again register my complaint. I was eventually given a link to request a service technician to come and examine the refrigerator. The link failed and I lost all contact with the rep. I then called the service request department and had a long conversation with a nice lady that again confirmed that the noise was normal. I donated a 20 year old Whirlpool that I wish I could get back and dump this Samsung. Never will I ever consider buying any other Samsung product.
Cooks very well, not burning, but very efficient; stovetops allows me to have several items at once; energy-efficient, overall good value for price; would recommend this item for anyone in the market.
Model NE59M4310SS. Purchased my stove on May 16, 2019. Stove was delivered June 1, 2019. Only used oven once and the cook top a couple of times. One week later today, the oven and cooktop are not working!!!! The clock is okay so I know that the power is not the issue. I tried several times to troubleshoot to no effect. They cant send a tech out because its the weekend of course. Shame on Samsung for selling me a factory reject. I will never purchase anything Samsung ever again. Buyers note that model number and stay away from it.
Ive been so disappointed since I bought my Refrigerator at Lowes in 2011, paid over $1,000 and have had it serviced so many times. The ice bucket cracked, then the ice maker broke, it had a water leak. They had to remove the panel. It was FROZEN. Now, called again because I dont know if its the fan or motor, I hope my food doesnt go bad. Im upset because of all the problems I continue to have and have to get another service contract just so I can keep it as long as I can. The first refrigerator I had lasted 10 years and I didnt have as many service calls as I do with this Samsung. I dont think I will be buying another Samsung refrigerator again. Too many problems!!
This refrigerator was the most expensive in the store, but I thought it would be the best and it is the absolute worst. For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. It doesnt give you ice cubes, just pieces of ice that go flying everywhere. Ice gets built up and clogs the ice maker and you have to take an ice pick to remove it or it wont make any ice. I absolutely hate it and Im stuck with it for a good long time.
Our two year old Samsung NE58F9500SS began sending strong fumes of burning plastic upon oven preheat. Repeated email and phone contact with customer service about this FIRE HAZARD was a test of patience. Each contact told us to wait 24 more hours and we would be contacted by someone. Days passed. No oven. No stove. Wires attached to the back of the oven, melted. Plastic on the terminal block melted. This is DANGEROUS and deserves immediate attention. Do NOT buy Samsung. Thats my advice. We paid $1,533.35 for this poor workmanship and poor service.
Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?
On Feb.16, 2009, we purchased a 30 Samsung electric stove AND a 5 year warranty. Almost immediately, we knew we had a problem. We spent the entire 5 years of warranty, having repairmen from A & E Factory Service (Sears) come put bandaids on this very expensive stove ($1508 without the warranty cost). When the extended warranty ran out in February of 2014 the stove had all the same problems it had as a new stove. Since then, I always set the temperature too high (because it never reaches the temperature I set it at). I bought a good oven thermometer to put in the oven which I watch by shining a flashlight through the glass in the oven door, adjusting the temperature throughout the baking period. You see, I cant trust the oven to go to the temperature I need. The beeper that is supposed to tell you when the oven is hot enough to bake your food beeps when the oven is at least 100 degrees lower than I have set it for. This oven has ruined so many things I have tried to bake, including a ham that I served partly raw without realizing it. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!! I seriously cringe when I see full page ads for Samsung appliances. I will NEVER buy another one. But think of all those poor people who WILL! (We purchased the stove from a store in Loveland Colorado called Ji and Daves Appliance, Inc. which is no longer in business).
Purchased this refrigerator December 2010 for my parents. Within 6 months the vegetable drawers began filling up with water. Parents decided not to replace. January 2nd 4 years after purchase the motherboard went out, a new compressor was ordered and installed, then the New Compressor developed a leak, and now another service call has been set due to the refrigerator still not working. Service has been to my parents home January 2, January 9th, January 16th, January 26th, January 29th and scheduled February 4th, 2015. Samsung has been contacted, their response was its out of warranty. My response is a $1200 refrigerator should last longer than 4 years, if not then the construction of the product is defective. Samsungs response - too bad. Dealing with the Executive Customer Service representative was very unwilling to send me to a supervisor, Im still waiting on a call back. Definitely do not purchase Samsung equipment they do not stand behind their products.
We have had this Samsung refrigerator for 3 years now and the ice maker has given us problems from the get-go. It freezes over and stops making ice and we need to break the ice down constantly. It drips water into the fridge and then freezes under the deli drawer and drips down the left side to the floor outside of the unit. A bin has already cracked and I have it packed taped and the inside pull drawer in the freezer has come apart as well. Not a good purchase at all.
We bought a Samsung double door fridge freezer less than a year ago. Already broken down 4x spoiling all the food. After sales service is terrible, always takes +3 days to get a technician on site. Claim we had too much stuff in the fridge last time?? So weve been conscious to keep it half empty (not sure why you would buy a big fridge to do that) and it still broke down. Food is rotting in there as I type. Heading out to buy a new fridge and throw this one away, could not in good conscience pass it on to someone else even for free as it is a massive lemon.
Hello, this oven micro was installed 6 days ago and the microwave does NOT WORK. It worked 2 days and died. I contacted Sam KA KA service and the earliest appointment was 6 days later. I inquired about Saturdays and THE SERVICE COMPANY Sam KA KA HAS CONTRACTED ONLY WORKS M-F. How wonderful for them!! And they cant give me a time window until the morning of the appointment. So, I have to take a vacation day for this KA KA. Buy another brand!
Bought this fridge in Feb 2015, I think it was just under a year and noticed a noise in the fridge like a grinding rattling, at the same time the ice machine stopped giving ice. A month later I started noticing the door fridge temp looked normal but the inside was much warmer and we kept blaming our grocery store for the spoiled milk we were going through. I then noticed the rear wall had ice building up through the holes, I decided to unplug it to defrost overnight and load everything into coolers. The noise went away and when I finally got the icebox to pull out I found the interior to be iced right solid. I chipped away the ice and again left it to defrost completely. This lasted for about 3 months and it all started again. I started doing research and to my shock realized these fridges were lemons and the company didnt stand behind their product and in fact in the U.S. there was a Class Action Suit. Last week I finally called Samsung Electronics Canada and told them of the issues and of the Service Bulletin ASC20170602002 for the icebox. They told me I was out of warranty and would cover only the parts, I flat out refused and insisted labor be included. I do feel confident even if this repair was covered by them that the repair would only come back as these fridges look nice on the outside but are of poor design. I have made a complaint to BBB as well as I will be pursuing all other avenues to make these issues public, I cant believe this company hasnt been exposed yet with how they treat their customers.
I built a new house a little over two years ago. Between the kitchen and laundry appliances, I spent around $6500. Before the one-year warranty was up, the ice maker in the fridge crapped out. I had to get Best Buy to replace the unit as the Samsung repair people didnt want to travel out to where Im located (only about 35 miles). Then after the warranties expired, the washer has an issue - not too bad - a wire fell off the motor. Cost me $159. Now the dishwasher pump burn up - $440 to fix this. Repair guy told me that the pods I have been using, the plastic shell pieces apparently do not melt and pieces collect in a screen that the water goes through that cools the pump. The screen is apparently fine than most units. Sound like a design flaw. After buying all these appliances and having three issues already, one would think the manufacturer would stand behind their products. Nope, no help at all. No more Samsung products for me.
A sheet of ice forms and slowly leaks out to the floor. It is a french door model RFG298HDRS/XAA. It has done it before and after the water filter was replace. I did not purchase a service agreement for the store told that since it had been repaired for something else (motherboard) that it will have not problems. I called to complain but since I did not have a warranty, they were hesitant on help but would love to sell me a warranty at the time of the call. All my items have Samsung but the buck stops here. LGs will be my next purchases.
We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasnt really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didnt apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed verbally to give us a full refund. They wouldnt put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. We were told by a repairman to not buy Samsung appliances & we took that advice & purchased a Whirlpool. So far so good!
Unfortunately, I fell in love with its center drawer and purchased a 4-door Samsung Refrigerator Freezer 3 and a half years ago, for $3200.00, without doing proper research. The model is RF24FSEDBSR and was manufactured in Sept of 2014. I still love the center drawer, but it is not enough to make up for the rest of the appliance. This is a prime example of a company that thinks highly of itself but doesnt care that it sells absolute junk. The number of problems and repairs for the ice maker, add up to this being the worst purchase I have ever made and that is saying something. I have put up with months and months of temporary fixes, thawing with hairdryers, mopping up pooling water on the floor of the refrigerator section and just doing without ice.Recently, I have had 3 service calls for the ice maker. The ice maker freezes solid and wont dispense ice. Then, I need to move all my refrigerated food to a cooler and my frozen food to the outside freezer; turn off the entire unit for 2 days, with both doors propped open; and put an air circulator/warmer inside, just so the repairman can pry the completely frozen icemaker out without cracking the wall of the refrigerator. On the last service call, he replaced the entire ice maker for about $550.00. My total out of pocket for repairs and service is about $850.00. I fully expect that amount to grow. Now, it sort of works, but makes very little ice, (which will not be enough with summer coming).I cannot get cubed ice, just crushed ice; there is water dripping down the front of the refrigerator and it is a constant source of aggravation. Samsung wasnt sympathetic or helpful when I talked with them, and they suggested that I should have purchased their 5-year Samsung Service Agreement for $1750.00 when I had a chance. Really? They were supposed to call me back (within 24 hours) 10 months ago, and Im still waiting. Complete waste of time, money, effort, energy and resources. Do not ever buy a Samsung refrigerator because they are expensive junk, was the advice of my repair person, who has owned an appliance repair business for many years. I could have saved myself lots of frustration, and money, if I had done my research.
Refrigerator freezer freezes up one block of ice. It quits cooling for the second time. The serviceman came out. The whole back of the freezer was one block of ice. He replaced one small part and said it was fine. Now, it didnt last two weeks. It did the same thing. This refrigerator is 11 months old and still under warranty. I called today and was put on hold for an hour. Finally, I was told the serviceman would come out again. I think I got a lemon.
I purchased my home 1 1/2 years ago and my home came with a brand new Samsung fridge, range and dishwasher. My dishwasher has already been serviced 3 times and it still stops working sometimes and has a flashing light that will blink to indicate a malfunction. My range worked fine until a week ago when we heard a very loud pop and the range completely shut down. We spoke with Samsung and they will not do anything about it. If you want to spend thousands on an appliance that will not last more than 2-3 years, Samsung appliances are for you. I am very surprised that a company as successful as Samsung has not recalled these potentially hazardous and outright disastrous products. One can assume, based on their lack of taking care of these problems, that within 3 years Samsung will no longer be selling appliances. I am extremely disappointed with this company and their products. Buyer Beware.
We bought a Samsung Appliance package in September 2014. I have not been happy with any of the appliances. You must wash the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, or the food will still be on them after a heavy load cycle. I do love that dishwasher is super quiet, which is the reason I was attracted to it. My Range makes a rattle noise when the fan kicks on, and I do not believe it cooks as well as my previous unit. My microwave sensors are WAY off, and we have tried to fix, but again, either the popcorn burns or pops 3 kernels. It too rattles. These are all issues I can deal with.My biggest issue is the refrigerator. We are currently on our FOURTH unit. The first unit would only cool to 42 degrees. The second unit wouldnt even power up when they brought it out. The third unit the doors would not close completely even though they worked and tried to adjust. Installers said the brackets were not aligned correctly. So, I finally after months of hassle get a new one. Whew... Or so I thought. I have had 5 service appointments to fix the same issues on this unit and am still having issues. When I contacted Samsung today, I was told they were sorry, but it was out of warranty. Even though the issues are documented. We escalated and were told they would do us a one time favor to have another technician come out. Im not sure why. It is clearly a design flaw. My ice is slush, I always get about a 1/8 cup of water first before hitting the ice button due to the melted ice. The ice drips to the bottom of the panel and then freezes like a rock jamming the ice maker. I am told that it is due to putting groceries in my refrigerator (someone PLEASE tell me this is NOT the answer I got!) What are you supposed to do with a refrigerator if you cannot put groceries in it!?I was also told that the low ice production was not due to melting (mind you I have puddles of water) but due to overuse. We have 2 adults and 2 kids and use a very minimal amount of ice. If it cannot keep up with our demands, it should not even be an option! I use the power freeze and power cool button when we stock the fridge to keep it from warming down too much, as the last technician recommended, but this isnt the answer either. Id love to have my $3K+ back and go back to my ugly, but extremely useful old appliances! The pages of reviews tell me this is a lemon, but Samsung refuses to do anything about it!
I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in 2009 at Sears. It keeps leaking water under the cool pantry drawer and freezes. I have already paid once to have this fixed. I was told a drainage hose gets clogged up and overflows under the drawer; defective design issue. Once again it is doing the same thing. The repair man recommended only to buy Whirlpool made in America; he said Samsung is pure defective junk!
I purchased a French door with freezer on bottom; within a few months, the right side handle came off. I called Samsung and was told they would send me a new handle; never received a handle. Now, in the last few days, the left side handle’s paint is peeling, like it’s been repainted. I will never buy anything Samsung again, especially after seeing all the bad reviews.
I had a GE dishwasher for 15 years and it worked well but I wanted a new stainless steel one. I purchased a Samsung from Best Buy. It is hard to believe how unhappy I have been with this appliance. I have paid $357 so far to continue to have it fixed and it is not quite three years old. Today I am having it hauled away as I am cutting my losses. Samsung should not be in the business of appliances if they cant do any better than this. It did not clean the dishes well, it did not dry the dishes well, and it was of poor quality but yet cost a lot. I will NEVER buy Samsung again.
I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing. From day one the fridge did not work. I called samsung, they were going to get a repair guy out but the first available was 8 days away. It was new and it should work from day one. So I wrote a nasty letter to samsung. Then told homedepot that I was going to return it and find a company that valued my business. Well then Home Depot decided to replace it. My suggestion is to never buy a samsung product, their customer service dept is brutal.
I purchased 3 appliances on February 6, 2015. They totaled over $5000. Today, 6 days out of warranty, the water dispenser stopped working on the refrigerator. We have done everything that needs to be done - according to the manual - and it still is not working. I called customer support and 3 times was disconnected. I finally reached someone and felt I had to speak fast or there would be another disconnect. Each person had my phone number and no one called me back. I went through all of the same things I had done before the phone call. When they realized I was 6 days out of warranty, they tried to sell me an extended warranty for $400 +. I said that was absurd so they said since I was a good long term customer, they would send me to their executive support department (or some similar name). I am now sitting with a very expensive refrigerator that does NOT dispense water. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to fix this and am very fed up with Samsung. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again and I have been a long term customer. Another thing, it is very difficult to understand most of your customer service people. There is a disconnect for sure. I was NEVER given a confirmation number, NOTHING.
I purchases a Samsung dishwasher in February 2010. It was a lemon from the start. It washed poorly and was often in need of repair. The motor died after less than four years. I could have bought another dishwasher with all the money spent on repairs. Please take my advice. Buy Samsung TVs but not Samsung dishwashers.
I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowes in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesnt really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didnt understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I dont think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last cheap microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.
Samsung has a reputation for a lousy manufacturing process of their kitchen appliances. My dw7933lrasr dishwasher is less then 2 years old. They will not fix it until you buy an extended warranty for 288.00 plus tax (new dw, 100.00 more). The phone assistance was good but the bottom line is their appliances are designed to break. Consumer Report has their DW failure rate at 25%. Bought at HHGREGG Southpoint, Durham NC.
We have the same issue with Samsung refrigerator model RS263TDRS/XAA purchased in 2011. The fan makes loud noise and stops as soon as door is opened. The icing inside the casing is leading to this fan noise. Samsung sucks. Add me to lawsuit. Please send confirmation when done and send updates on the lawsuit. Thank you.
Samsung is terrible. My refrigerator freezes up constantly and makes terrible loud sounds. I have to constantly defrost it. Now the temporary repair is not lasting not even one week. It’s a defect with the French door style. And they won’t recall it. My stove is Samsung and I hate it as well. It’s hard to adjust the temperature settings on the burners.
Purchased a new Samsung refrigerator about 2 years ago and now the glass shelf that holds the crisper drawers is broken on the corner and the rail that the crisper drawer runs on is broken where the screw hole is broken where a worker had screwed it in too tight. The rubber gaskets are coming apart as well....This refrigerator cost was over $2000.00. Called customer service and they said TOO BAD out of warranty ....Model # RF267AEBP. Someone needs to get a class action lawsuit going on this and let all of us know...
I have been searching the net reading all the negative things said about my less than a year old fridge. Mine also freezes inside the back panel, makes so much noise I cant watch TV. So, once again in less than a week I have to defrost it. I wish I had seen these reviews first. I have a Samsung TV, fridge, dishwasher, gas range and microwave. None of them have been what I expected or hoped for. Glad I bought a GE washer and dryer!
Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost or chip ice out every month or so. This is a flaw with how the ice maker is mounted and does not create a sealed compartment, allowing warmer air from the refrigerator section to enter the ice making space. Touch Screen:My first fridge came with a broken touch screen. It was active but the touch did not work all the time. For whatever reason they could not obtain the part so they RMA-ed (Return Merchandise Approval) my refrigerator and replaced with the same model -under warranty. The second refrigerator came the same way. This time they were able to obtain the part using a third party repair company and the screen was fixed. Apparently the first screen had a broken connection that the technician was able to see once he removed the part. He suspected the connection was possibly broken during transport and explicitly installers holding/carrying the door by holding the ice dispenser region. Apparently there is a flexible piece of plastic that pushes up into the screen. I recommend for anyone with this refrigerator to take extra precautions not to move the fridge by holding the ice maker region. Applications:When I first got the refrigerator there were several useful apps (including: AP News, Pandora, a recipe application, weather bug, google calendar, etc) with the indication that more apps were going to be coming in the near future. No new applications have come. Weather Bug stopped working 2 years ago. AP News just went off line. Pandora and recipe apps just disappeared one day. To make it worse many people on the Samsung site have been trying to get a response about the applications and Samsung never responds. My opinion is to stay away from any Smart-screen Samsung refrigerators: they are only a novelty that Samsung does not seem to support.
Our dishwasher nightmare continues. We purchased our dishwasher in May 2014 from Lowes, replacing a Kitchenaid. The salesman at Lowes talked us into the Samsung when I specifically said, anything but a Samsung after a terrible experience with their refrigerator. He said that Consumer Reports gave it top ratings and led us to a specific model that had all the features we wanted. We reluctantly bought it but we got a great deal on it. Right after it was installed, there was water left in the bottom after the installer left. I assumed it was because he ran it through some abbreviated cycle so I loaded it, ran the dishes through a cycle and, when I opened it, the water was gone. I thought the problem was solved.About 4 weeks later, I opened the dishwasher to load some dishes and, again, there was standing water in the bottom but the smell was terrible. It was like a combination of old garbage and stagnant water. We called the service department at Lowes because we bought the extended service plan on the dishwasher. The man from A & E came over, looked it over and said - to make it so I did not have to pay for a service call - we will say it was food in the disposal and told me to buy a product called Affresh and use it once a month in the dishwasher. A few days later, I ran one of the Affresh treatments in the dishwasher and for 2-3 days, the dishwasher was fine. No smell, no water in the bottom. But then the smell came back.About a month later, another service man came from A & E and told me that there was nothing he could do about it because the problem was that the dishwasher was draining through my garbage disposal, and the water and smells were backing up from that. He told us we needed a plumber to put in another drain for the dishwasher! REALLY? This is the third dishwasher weve had in this home and the first that we have experienced problems like this with!We went to Lowes to talk to someone and were sent to someone in installation. There, another installer was sent to my house to take a look and he removed a loop that was in the flexible tube from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal. This seemed to stop the water problem. But the smell is still awful! A few nights ago I was loading dishes and my husband walked into the kitchen (about 20 feet away) and he asked me what that terrible smell was!I am trying to be patient and give Lowes a chance to help. I am trying to believe that Samsung will do the right thing. I am losing my patience and my faith. I am afraid to try any of the usual things like white vinegar, Borax, or anything else because the machine is only 6 months old. No more Samsung products for us. Not worth any amount of money saved for the problems they deliver!
I also have been disappointed with their product. The icemaker always freezes up. When you call them they tell you to find a Samsung dealer to repair it. The first time it had a broken seal, but it was under warranty. The next two times, it was fixed for approximately two months. Now it doesnt work at all. I will never buy another product from them again. This refrigerator was expensive.
Bought samsung dishwasher 10 months ago and the front door got discoloured. When called customer service they said its outside of the guarantee and that its cosmetic damage? I dont use this machine daily. Its only 1 person using it so I dont misuse it. I will never buy any products from them and will inform all my family and friends not to. Also dishes after washing are not clean as. The previous 2 people said, poor quality, never again from samsung!
I too bought the French Doors Samsung refrigerator. Five ice maker repairs, water in floor, 80 degrees in fridge side and the clicking of the fan as it starts hitting ice buildup and then dies a painful death. This refrigerator is truly junk and is not inexpensive. I have had it four years and as I type this it is not working. Tech suppose to come Tuesday the 14th of August. Repair if able to be repaired will only last short while. To say the least I am give up fooling with this expensive piece of junk and will never buy another Samsung fridge.
We purchased a French door refrigerator with the top and bottom ice makers. After a year or so, we noticed a lot of frost build up in the freezer and the drawer was increasingly difficult to open. Shortly after that, large chunks of flat ice began falling on the floor. After a little investigation, it was discovered ice was building up on the bottom of the freezer door and continues to be a problem. We have to defrost every 2 months or so.
We purchased this refrigerator less than two years ago. It worked OK for maybe a year and then the dispensing ice maker started making horrible noises, dispensing wet ice, cubes freezing together in the ice bin. I ended up simply turning it off and just using the ice maker located in the freezer compartment.Around the end of the first year, we began hearing an annoying clicking sound, which was caused by the cooling fan inside the back panel being COMPLETELY encased in ice.I research this model refrigerator on the internet and found a myriad of Folks having the same issues. For the next 3 years, I periodically had to either use a hairdryer for a quick fix or remove the entire back panel to de-ice the entire bank of cooling coils per instructions on YouTube from dozens of unfortunate Consumers who purchased this piece of junk.ALSO, there are MANY Class Action Lawsuits listed on the internet related to Samsung poor engineering of the automatic defrost function(s) of this particular model. In 50+ years of marriage, we have purchased 8 - 10 refrigerators for our homes and have NEVER had an experience such as this. Today, we took delivery of a new refrigerator. Suffice it to say, it was NOT a Samsung. Samsung should be ashamed to have placed such a poorly engineered product on the market. I would STRONGLY recommend that anyone reading this NEVER purchase a Samsung refrigerator....They did not stand behind this product.
After all the repairs and fixes Samsung suggested including a new icemaker, icemaker tray, and the suggested special silicone repair around the inside of the icemaker compartment, this week my icemaker quit working all together! I will never trust Samsung again! We have fought this issue ever since we purchased this top-of-the-line French Door Refrigerator-Freezer. What a waste of almost $2000! We started having problems within a year of our purchase. Our date of purchase is June 2, 2017. Stay away from this manufacturers French Door Refrigerator Freezer!
Samsung DMR78 series dishwasher - We bought the Samsung dishwasher hoping we were getting a great dishwasher. Not in the least. We bought it from Future Shop. They did nothing to help us with the problem. Our dishwasher does not clean the dishes at all! We have tried everything. If you put dirty dishes in, they come out dirty. I have to wash them all by hand then put them in the dishwasher, so whats the point? So it looks really good but does not clean the dishes. Thanks, Samsung, for nothing!
Water accumulates in veggie & fruit drawers which has to be poured out daily several times. Water also accumulates under the drawer. If not taken care of daily, Im sure it would eventually get out of the refrigerator and onto the floor. I had it repaired last October 2015 at a cost of $400. Two small parts were replaced which I looked up and only cost together under $20. The repair took less than 15 minutes once the food was removed. Now it s doing the exact same thing, months later and the company says it cannot do anything about it.
There are pros and cons to consider with this dishwasher. The capacity is generous. I like the different cycles. It seems like it uses a lot of rinse aid with the machine and you have to be careful how you load it or top rack items dont get clean. Overall it is a decent mid price dishwasher.
DW80F800UWS - Do not buy!! Junk. Lasted 11 months and broke. Need software update and an updated part. Took almost 2 weeks to come out and fix. 2 months later broke again, new problem. Now I have to wait another week for extended warranty to come out. Also inside was covered in a white residue. Samsung tech stated it was due to soap...dishwasher soap not good for a dishwasher! Says they only recommend finish but it says that nowhere in any Samsung paperwork. Again its junk, save time and money!!!
I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in August 2014, Model RF217ACPHN/XAA. In April 2016, the inside iced over and began making clunking noises. I called an appliance tech who replaced a burned out coil. In less than two months, the back of the refrigerator iced over again, and the tech made another house call to de-ice. In the meantime, the ice maker stopped working. The icing has become a problem again, and the tech says he needs a main control, which he has been unable to order. I contacted Customer Service at Samsung to inquire about purchasing the part, but have received no answer. I am now defrosting the appliance and should know tomorrow whether I need to replace it or not. If I do, you can be assured it will not be another Samsung product! NO MORE SAMSUNG FOR ME!
Bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator 3 months ago. This past Friday it died. Lost a fridge full of food and ruined my hardwood floor from all ice melting. Called and they couldnt get out til Monday. They said I would receive a call later that day with an appointment time. Never got a call. They showed up without notice on Monday morning. Tech said it needed major repairs and they wouldnt have the parts til Friday. Thats 8 days without a fridge. Called Samsung call center to complain and they didnt offer anything to help us. Asked to speak with a manager. The response received was you are unable to talk to a manager. Asked for an email address for a manager. Nope not an email address either. What type of call center or any business doesnt have a manager on duty. That is an absolute lie. They just dont want to be bothered. We planned on remodeling our kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Not any longer. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!
I scrolled down and read the reviews until the Dec. 28, 2010 entry where I found someone who had the same dishwasher as I have: DMR57. I loaded my dishwasher last night, put in the soap and shut the door to start it. When I touched the start button, it was dead. The whole touch panel was dead. Thinking somehow a breaker had blown, I checked on that and it had not. The machine was just dead. My husband is an electrician, but he didnt even get a chance to check the electrical. He shut the door and something inside, the latch broke. Now the door doesnt latch. We bought this unit in September 2008. After having it for two weeks back then, we called the service department explaining how touchy the control panel was. If you just skimmed the panel, you could turn it on or off. The instrument was replaced but it is still extremely sensitive. We began to put the touch panel in the child lock mode when in use and when not in use. By doing so protected the touch panel; we couldnt turn it on or off. It is awful when the dishwasher is on and in mid-wash cycle and you accidentally touch or skim the panel and the whole machine is turned off. This dishwasher does not restart from where the cycle was shut off. You have to restart the wash cycle from the beginning. Weve decided to replace the dishwasher with another brand instead of fixing this one. Dishwashers should last some 10-15 years. We will not be buying a Samsung. I must say that we have a Samsung refrigerator that I just love! I may jinx myself, but lets hope not.
We bought this DMT800RHW unit because we were satisfied with their refrigerator. This is a top of the line unit. Too bad we didnt see all these negative reviews. From the start, we had problems. First, a small plastic wheel on the bottom rack was missing when it arrived. I called to ask them to just send a wheel I could snap on in 10 seconds... Nope. They had to send out a technician. Then those wheels were rubbing on the lower right side of the door gasket, and eventually dislodge the stainless steel grip in that area that went around the whole door to hold the rubber gasket. It was tack welded on, so they said the dishwasher was a loss. They would not repair it. They decided to refund out money, but not installation, which was the good news and policy by Samsung. To do that, I had to rip off the identity label, cut the power cord off and take a picture of all that to send into Samsung. This was not too easy to do, but we are fairly assertive with Samsung. Since Im handy with mechanical and electrical systems, I put it back together. I also screwed in the stainless steel gasket holder and had a new dishwasher for free.... or so I thought. A couple months later, I started getting error codes 0E and 9E which mean low water level and high water level. When this happens, the cycle just stops. This increased in frequency over a year. Unplugging the unit then plugging it back in would seem to fix it for a while. At this point, the unit constantly gives these errors and seems useless. When it is turned on, the unit will fill with water and empty itself about three or four times without actually starting to spray water inside - like it is in some self-cleaning cycle. Then one of these error codes comes up, but the water is not low or too high. The design of the bottom of the dishwasher is really very simple and easy to take apart (Phillips screwdriver tip only), so I did that and cleaned it out thoroughly in first attempt. There seemed to be some debris blocking one channel. After this attempt, the same thing happens... three or four fill/empty cycles then one of the two error codes. I would like to take it apart further, but am not sure what to do as it may be a sensor or circuit board error. On other matters, I have noticed how the internal plastic parts seem to be deteriorating from the dishwashing process. From all these posts in this forum, clearly Samsung has engineered a unit that is defective in so many ways. I am disgusted by Samsung as well, but at least I didnt have to pay for my dishwasher!
We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no its a defective finish. We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said its cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, Im really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.
STAY CLEAR. We replaced all of our kitchen appliances in 2014 with Samsung products including a fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. This has turned out to be an expensive mistake. The 1 year warranty covered the first year of problems. Since then we have had to spend hundreds of dollars to keep them running.
From the day it was installed about a year ago, it leaks badly under the door during the first cycle. It never cleans the dishes well and always leaves funk all over for me to scrape off after. I might as well hand wash! Now the unit will not complete cycle. I have taken it apart a zillion times to clean and inspect. What a piece of **. Locally we have a tire store called Discount Tire. In their TV ad they show a little old lady throwing a tire through their front window and the ad says if youre not satisfied.... bring it back. I wonder what it would sound like when I throw this dishwasher through Lowes front window?
Ice maker failed shortly after warranty expired. I would not recommend purchasing this brand for a refrigerator. It is very disappointing because Ive loved my other Samsung products, but this ice maker issue a total disaster and Samsung has not remedied this widespread issue with their product.
We have had our refrigerator (bottom-freezer) less than a year. Weve had Samsung out 3 times to check out the random very loud noise that it makes. The resulting opinion is that the noise is normal. I am having to endure it as I type this and would encourage anyone to NOT BUY a Samsung appliance. Another thing is the space inside. The shelves are not spaced to hold American-sized food/drink containers, so we have to store them on their sides. From what Ive read, they make fine electronics - TVs, etc. Just dont buy their appliances.
We purchased a Samsung Fridge that was delivered 10-22-18. The ice maker never worked. Auger would get stuck pushing the ice drawer out and causing it to bang on the inside of the refrigerator door. No ice would come out. Then we would have to open the door, shake the ice drawer at which time we would get chips of ice even though it was on cubed. Called Lowes and they sent out a repair company that replaced the ice maker. Within 3 days the ice maker is doing the same thing again. It is a flawed design and Lowes said even though we just bought it it was two weeks out of guarantee to replace! We purchased the extended warranty but the problem cant be fixed. Lowes is selling a defective product that is now part of a class action lawsuit. This Samsung Model RF23J9011 is part of the lawsuit. Why would Samsung continue to make defective ice makers AND why would Lowes keep selling them when they have to know, based on the numerous calls they are getting with the same complaint, that these refrigerators are garbage. Just get your $2,400 and throw it out the window. UGH.
