Bought Samsung French Door refrigerator about 3 yrs. ago. Ice maker started
Bought Samsung French Door refrigerator about 3 yrs. ago. Ice maker started freezing up and stops making ice unless you pull the bin out and chop ice off the ice maker. Ice cubes freeze at top of ice maker. Leaks water. Had it replaced with a new ice maker, 5 months ago and it does the same thing. Appliance repair said its a typical problem with Samsung and cant guarantee it will fix it to replace it. Spent $300 to replace and it still does the same thing.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher (Model #DW80H9930US) from Tasco, on the advice of Tascos salesman. It was installed in November 2014. I had also purchased a 5 year warranty. By June 2015 my dishwasher was no longer working. I went into Tasco who told me I had to contact my warranty provider, who in turn advised that Samsung held the initial warranty for the first year. I contacted Samsung at the beginning of July and was told a technician would call. I never received a call. Two weeks later I contacted them again and as everyone has previously mentioned, the wait times are approximately 30 minutes to speak with someone at the first level customer service. A woman finally booked a date to have a technician come out. I waited all day and got a call from someone to then set up another date that was approximately 3 weeks later. The technician came to my home and I advised him that the soap dispenser was not opening. He attached his computer to my dishwasher and told me the waterfall technology was not working and my motor was defective, which in turn was why the soap was not opening. He advised they would be ordering a new motor and I would get a call within 2 weeks to set up another appt. He also told me off the record this dishwasher consistently breaks down and is not a good buy. I had to remove my baseboard for that visit noting the dishwasher is built in. He never left the name of his company or anything with me. 3 weeks later I still had not heard from anyone. I contacted Samsung again to speak with someone and they told me they would be in touch. I called again 3 days later and after 30 min and going through the story each time -- got disconnected. In August I finally called and was put through to the Executive department because I was told I could not speak to management. I spoke with a Brian representative ** who was extremely rude and just flat out told me that they would not even consider replacing the unit, even noting the issues wrong with it so early on and the reviews I had read. He gave me an email address sdr.seca@samsung.com to send through a complaint as there never seems to be a manager consumers can speak with. I sent an email with my issues on August 12 and then a follow up on August 18th, 2015, and have never received a response from Samsung. I called 2 more times and was still unable to get a technician or call back. In October I went back to Tasco for help and was told I should have contacted them for service. I contacted Tasco who then in turn left me hanging until the end of November. On Thursday, November 26, I received a call from a Peter ** at Samsung and was told the delay of 6 months was because I did not call the technician back to let him know the baseboard had been removed. That the dishwasher was not properly diagnosed and they dont even know what is wrong with it. He was reading very different information than anyone else I had spoken to and basically told me I was lying that it was the motor. He was so rude, condescending, and when I asked for his managers phone number, he gave me a wrong number. At this point I have a dishwasher that has not worked for 5 months and cannot get Samsung to help me at all. At this time, I would like the dishwasher replaced and it is now out of warranty. At this time I do plan to take Samsung and Tasco to small claims court if I have to, noting I have a dishwasher that does not work and now its out of the manufacturers warranty. I will never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance to anyone and will deter anyone from them. I would not want anyone to have to endure the stress and frustration I have had to deal with and still have not had the problem rectified. So disappointing.

I am reading all these bad reviews and do not even want to contact the company because I foresee frustrating response from them. I do not know if I should spend my money on repair or buy a new different brand microwave.

As an appliance repair tech, I can assure you that Samsung dishwashers are the worst of the worst. If you take your Samsung dishwasher back to the place of purchase and complain loudly enough, many retailers will refund the purchase price. One can only assume that they are aware that these things are duds.

Changed out my perfectly working 20yr old dishwasher for New Samsung Stormwash w/ auto-release dry. Big mistake! Purchased from Home Depot. Delivery was a joke as they cancelled a promised Saturday delivery. I had to drive a town away to pick it up myself after waiting a week and then they cancelled appt. Next, 5 months later dishwasher leaked all over my kitchen floor and it hadnt been turned on yet. Customer no service overseas a joke. Said I should have bought a warranty. Told them I didnt have a crystal ball and if Id known it was a cruddy product I wouldnt have purchased it in the first place. Had to pull all my dishes and wash by hand. Waiting to hear from them to fix it. Dont want it but refused to take it back. Damage to floor.

Oh, If I could only give this refrigerator 0 stars. As with everyone else--ice maker is totally useless (My husband LAUGHS when I defrost it yet again and tells me to stop wasting my time!) BUT now need to use a blowdryer to warm up the vents in the back of the refrigerator so it doesnt sound like a jet engine!! I spend more time caring for my refrigerator than it takes me to clean my entire house! Repairman tells me to not bother him as he cant help. The sad irony...our old refrigerator was great except the ice maker didnt work!! Kitchenaid, why did I ever leave you!?!?

I have purchased this product (AR24HV5NBWKNNA) from Samsung Dealer in May 2014 and from the date of purchase Im not satisfied with the product. Installation of A/C was not proper as it took 12 hours by your engineer. Then in next year 2015 the A/C was not performing and called Samsung and executive visited and directly filled gas in warranty without inspecting the reason of leakage, and gradually after 3 months again cooling decreased. Also water leakage from indoor unit started immediately after refilling and now in current season when unit was started there was no cooling and when engineer visited on 1st call he immediately order a gas refilling without inspecting the reason for leakage. And so the second complaint was lodged and then that engineer inspected the actual reason for regular gas leakage i.e. leakage found in cooling coil which was the only reason for 1st time non cooling, which should have been searched and rectified in 2015 when the gas was refilled the first time. We were given an only option to replace to new cooling coil at our cost whereas I feel problem shouldnt have arised in the 1st year of purchase which I feel was not expected from the world leader brand like Samsung. Right now I and my Family uses Samsung brand TV, AC, refrigerator, phones, washing machine, microwave. Also further we have to install new units at my Factory and 2 Houses but now after experiencing such problem within a year I feel I should rethink over that. Also during water leakage from indoor unit my Indoor Wooden cabinet along with printer and mobiles were damaged. If you wish to see the leakage I have shot a video of it. Also, a suggestion. This kind of malfunction directly hits your Brand Reputation that how Samsung deals with its product Malfunctioning. I strongly request you to please look into this matter on priority as the season has started and there is a need to run the Air Conditioner. So replace the defective part or replace the whole unit.

Do not buy this Samsung Refrigerator French Doors Model RFG237. I have had it for 4 years and have defrosted it 6 times. What happens is I get water/ice build-up under the crisper drawer. When I took the back inside panel off where the heating coil is there is a ton of ice build up. Apparently the drain clip is a piece of junk and doesnt even go in the drain hole. When I tried to contact Samsung they said I had to pay for the new part as my Warranty was up. When doing some research online it seems like a lot of people have this problem and it should of been recalled.

We bought this top of the line electric slide-in glass top range and the oven never worked properly from the start. Difficulty turning the oven on. Once turned on, it does not maintain the temperature. Also the bottom element doesnt work, so some recipes dont get browned on the bottom. Those recipes I have stopped making. We have had 9 service calls and they are not able to fix the problem. The stove looks great, unfortunately I have ruined many meals using this oven. (We have a Samsung fridge in Arizona and we have had 3 service calls and they cant fix the ice-maker.) I will not buy another appliance from Samsung!!

Ive had cheap dishwashers that did a FAR BETTER job than this overpriced piece of junk! I bought a mid-priced dishwasher with the hidden controls on top. It was very quiet, but found out it was quiet because it wasnt cleaning! I had the technicians come out (under 1 yr warranty) and they replaced the main board, saying that it wasnt activating one of the cleaning mechanisms. After running some diagnostics and saying it was now working correctly, I did another load of dishes. Although they came out a little bit cleaner, and I mean VERY LITTLE, it was still sub-par.I now have to pre-scrub every dish and piece of silverware before washing, and even then, have to wash some again after the load finishes because of dried soap or debris that wasnt washed off. HORRIBLE DISHWASHER! Although Im pretty satisfied with the other appliances I bought as a group (Stove, Microwave, Fridge), I will NEVER buy nor recommend a Samsung Dishwasher ever again. They need to stick to semiconductors and leave the appliances to other more experienced and reliable manufactures.

I purchased my microwave in 2010 Serial # J4LVMOSC00753V. After about 2 years I got the infamous 5E error. I found information on the internet as to how to repair it myself. When I opened the front of the unit to access the inside of the control panel, I found that the hot wire connector was melted. I must have been very close to a fire! I replaced the connector and dried the wires to correct the 5E error. The 5E error reappeared again after a few months. I again dried the wires. To keep the story short, the 5E error appeared more and more frequently, until finally it was happening weekly. The unit is now waiting for the junk man to collect it.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

I purchased this Samsung Convection Electric Stove approximately 4 years ago as Samsung received good reports for its electronics and appliances. After about a year of owning it, the rear burners no longer worked on low, the oven light blinked on and off, the oven shuts on and off and the convection fan was working intermittently. Sometimes, there is a ticking noise when I turn the oven on. I called Samsung in the beginning of the malfunctioning and was told my oven was no longer under warranty. This was the 2nd time my Thanksgiving turkey took 7 hours to cook. This product is defective in so many ways and should not be sold by retailers until they remedy all of the complaints appearing on sites such as ConsumerAffairs is remedied.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

Stove info. Samsung 30” range. Model #NX58K9500WG/AA. Serial #0DQN7DDH600185N. Purchased from Lowe’s on 11/15/16 for $1424.05. Warranty period through Samsung Protection Plus 11/23/2017 to 11/23/22. I am hoping you can help me resolve a problem with Samsung Corporation. We purchased the above stove from Lowe’s in 2016. My husband and I had been noticing headaches and burning eyes for 2 or 3 days — more pronounced when using the oven. As one of our CO detectors beeped off and on, we called the fire department. They checked out the air quality in the house and found carbon monoxide levels 3 times safe levels in the bedrooms. They checked the gas furnace and gas water heater. Neither one was leaking carbon monoxide. The firemen called Alliant Energy because they said Alliant had equipment that more accurately measures deadly carbon monoxide levels. Alliant determined the leak was coming from the Samsung oven. Per the Alliant technician it was not leaking from the connection — it was from the oven itself. We have the written Caution Notice from Alliant Energy stating the defect is in the oven. We also have the run sheet from the fire department indicating CO three times safe levels. I contacted Samsung twice to get them to send a serviceman. The serviceman checked the oven on 12/18. He had no CO detector and did not turn the oven on. His work order said we had no warranty which is incorrect. It also listed “Operation/Smell/Smoke/Burning Smell.” The service was required because of CO leak reported by the Alliant Energy technician not the stated product symptoms. Samsung did not call me back to follow up concerning the repair. I called them requesting the disposition of this dangerous oven which we cannot safely use. I suggested they send another repairman to measure the CO2. The Samsung Pro said they were not going to waste additional time on this repair. A very poor customer service response especially considering the extent the default. I contacted Samsung again on 12/24 restating my complaint, concerns, feeling Samsung is responsible for resolving this dangerous appliance. I was told the situation is in fact very serious and dangerous and Samsung is very concerned about me safety — a script they all repeat. They said someone would contact us in 24 hours. As no one contacted me by 12/29, I contacted Samsung again. Same story, “this is a very serious situation.” The Samsung Pro said he would make a new ticket ASAP, correct the error in the stated repair needed and add the need for a CO measurement tool to confirm the Alliant Energy technician’s report. I offered to send them a copy of the Alliant Energy findings to save them the time and effort they were unwilling to expend in earlier communications. I have contacted Samsung 12/12, 12/17, 12/18, 12/24, 12/29, 1/4, and 1/6. Every time I have contacted Samsung the last line of their communication is “do not use the oven.” It confuses me that Samsung contends the range does not need repair but always note DO NOT TURN THE OVEN ON.We have not been able to use our oven safely (and have been advised by Samsung NOT to turn it on) since 12/11. We have contacted Samsung 8 times — all on my initiation, not their followup. I understand these ranges go down a manufacturing line and errors can happen. What I do NOT understand is why Samsung cares so little about their customer service when their product is clearly and dangerously defective. This defect is not a leaky ice maker — it a poisonous gas-producing range. It is appalling that Samsung is so unwilling to correct an error they created which could cause death to the consumer whose only mistake was purchasing a Samsung product. My latest 2-hour phone conversation today with 3 transfers that resulted in disconnects. The result of the last conversation was in order to resolve these defective stove situation we need a second opinion. Samsung has only one service center and their serviceman checked on our stove with a ticket that had the incorrect problem listed. There is no other Samsung serviceman in this area other than UTech. A second opinion from the the same service company that gave you the first one is like getting a second opinion from your doctor’s partner. Now we cannot move forward because Samsung doesn’t have another service center — how is that our fault. I have a written copy of the service ticket from Alliant Energy to verify their finding. It is difficult for me to understand why we are the people without an oven for almost a month, the people making repeated calls and being on hold for 30-45 minutes, and having to worry about having to settle for a stove in our house that has been repaired by the same company who built the defective one. How reassuring is any of that? Why doesn’t Samsung want to do the right thing? None of this is our fault but we are the frustrated consumer who Samsung does care about. Again, this is not a leaky ice maker — it is a carbon monoxide-producing range. We have no reason to make this up this mess as this is only causing us fear and frustration and Samsung Corporation is not helping at all.

We bought a Samsung RS275 side by side refrigerator in March 2010. From the start, the ice maker was completely inadequate and could not keep up with a family of four. In July 2011 water started accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and freezing the lower vegetable bin. We found that the defroster drain hole was freezing closed with ice, thereby not allowing the defroster to drain properly, hence it ended up on the floor of the refrigerator. I managed to extend a piece of copper wire into the hole (it was heated from the defroster heating coil) and that solved the problem for a couple of years. Keeping the hole open. The problem reappeared in the Spring of 2014 and weve been trying to fix it ever since. Also, the water dispenser line continues to freeze. I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

We moved into a townhouse with Samsung Appliances - stove, refrigerator and microwave. The refrigerator periodically buzzes so loud it is obnoxious for a relatively new but out of warranty refrigerator at 6 years old. (Our 22 year old Kenmore at the family cabin is still as quiet as the morning dawn.) I was told by Samsung help to connect the ice maker and the buzzing noise should go away. I had to hire a plumber to run a water line to the refrigerator and connect it. $500 later, I still had a buzzing refrigerator. I called Samsung and was informed the only thing they could offer was their authorized repair service to come out to our seasonal Minnesota townhome and fix it as it is out of warranty. Unique Services Repair Tech came out and felt like the noise was fan-related and recommended replacing fan. Part needed to be ordered, Tech returned a week later, installed and another $500; today we still have a buzzing refrigerator. Called Samsung and a different Unique Services Tech visited over a week later and said the refrigerator is just noisy and the noise cannot be eliminated. We have spent $1000 and still have a buzzing refrigerator. We should have been told that the Samsung model we have runs loud and it cannot be fixed. We would have bought a new refrigerator. The first Unique Services Tech should have told me our refrigerator model runs loud and we cannot fix it. Instead, we spend $365 for a new fan plus the service call $’s charge for a part not needed. Both Samsung and Unique Services are yet to reply to my bad experience. I suspect both Samsung and Unique Service Repair are better than this. From a Customer Service standpoint, I am disappointed at being blown off by their non response to my communicated concerns.

When our refrigerator quit after 24 years, I was excited to receive our new Samsung refrigerator. The unit was on sale, but my particular unit had been mislabeled in the store, so the salesman gave me the listed price. Perfect! Well, less than 8 months later, the ice maker just quit - on the day of our Thanksgiving dinner. I read all the literature and watched the videos via the QR Codes. My husband and I both reset the ice maker and waited 24 hours. We changed the water filter, even though no indicator light suggested it needed changing. My first call to Samsung left me beyond frustrated. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no one was available. This technician (I use this word loosely) had me repeat everything that I had already done. Then she finally told me to turn the ice maker off on the door panel and wait 90 minutes for it to start making ice again. When I asked how it would possibly make ice when its off, she just kept repeating her instructions. What did I do? I turned the ice maker off. I wondered if this was some hard reset that wasnt listed in any material. Then came call number 2. I turned the ice maker on and gave it a little time. Nothing. I told the second Samsung person what the first person had me do. He said, Well, your ice maker wont work if its turned off. You think? He started asking me to do everything again...checking filter, resetting machine. He then asked me the temp settings. I told him -2 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. He said I needed to change the fridge to 37. When I asked him why setting my fridge one degree warmer would help, he had no answer. He then told me to wait 2-3 hours and call them back if it was not working. I said, Look, Ive been doing the same procedures for over 24 hours now. Cant you schedule someone to come fix this? He then informed me that it was procedure.Call number 3. When the third technician started to ask me questions, I cut her off. I explained that I wasnt going to repeat everything again for a third person, especially when my husband and I had already performed the same steps the day before. She apologized and told me that someone would be in my area on Friday, but the service department would call and confirm. I received a call from their service department. It was an automated message, asking me to wait. When nothing happened after several minutes, I hung up. On the second call, I decided to put my phone on speaker and go about my tasks. After 30 minutes, no one had picked up! I then called them back. After a few calls, I finally reached someone. I was told that they did not have me down for service for Friday and that the next available day would be the next Thursday. So, we are now waiting to see if someone will actually show for Thursdays appointment. I cant believe that something is broken in such little time. I usually read reviews before purchasing any big ticket items. I didnt with this purchase. When your fridge goes out, you simply go out and get one, preferably one that can be delivered quickly. I wont make this mistake again, and I definitely will not be purchasing a Samsung! I dont see how this company is going to stay in business with poor quality and poor service.

In good faith we purchased a Samsung refrigerator in June 2013 from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty - we have had use this warranty for repairs over 10 times in under 5 years. On May 5 2018 the entire cooling system failed. I lost a ton of food and had to eat out every day. The repair guy fixed / replaced the cooling system on May 14 2018. Just for the cooling system to fail again on June 1 2018 less than 2 weeks after the fix / repair - this has left me with no freezer and no refrigerator - this unit is now deemed irreparable (it is a sitting duck not working) and I am now left with no way to keep anything cold or frozen while your process takes its sweet time. I have lost over $1000 worth of food and this is not even taking into account the food I need to buy each day for my family just to live, as I cannot keep anything cool or frozen!I was told I need to wait 10-12 days before an RMA is issued from June 5th 2018 - how long after that will it take to get an actual unit! This means I am now 2 months without any way to keep fresh food. I am beyond frustrated. I called today your company on 6/12/2018 just to be told I will receive a refurbished one. Well isnt my new one that was repaired on May 14 2018 considered refurbished? I do not want a refurbished unit. This is so unacceptable as we are suffering not the paper pushers and the approvers. Why does this process take so long? We are out $100 and $100 of dollars in food that we dont have the money to spend so that just means we are going into debt for this hassle. I feel I am being held hostage by your company and slowness to respond. This has been a horrible year with family deaths and now I have to deal with this situation. I have a medical dog who can only eat fresh food due to kidney failure as kibble is too drying for her. So the stress of keeping her alive without cooling is horrid.

WHEN I moved into my home, there was a Samsung dishwasher, brand-new. This was almost 4 years ago. My hope by writing this is to educate consumers about my experience. It was non-stop issues from the first month. Over the years, I replaced the pump. I had a number of repairmen out, who each time took a look at the dishwasher and laughed. They all told me it was a hunk of junk and dont waste money on it. Over the 4 years I spent over $800 on repairs. Now, it broke again. I have replaced it with a Frigidaire. I am very easy on my appliances, I ran it about 3-4 times per week. I used the best detergents only. I scrape dishes thoroughly. My things last me many many years. This did not last me at all - as I was contacting repair people the entire 4 years. I fear I have other Samsung appliances that were here when I moved in. I have heard from too many in the appliance industry as to the track record of Samsung appliances. I wish to educate potential consumers as to my experience, the money incurred - the waste.I should also mention I contacted Samsung a few times. They could not care less. Besides not speaking English properly so communication was limited - truth is - they could not care less. The only good that could come out of this is I save other consumers fortunes of money. We all work very hard for it - and clearly others could not care less how they squander it for us. There is also no price that could be placed on the HOURS I invested in trying to salvage it. Please, buyer beware.

Got gaskets replaced. Now the fridge freezes my food and I had to throw away about $80 of groceries. The repairman was supposed to come yesterday but never showed up now I have to wait another week. To take a chance of losing more food... That I cant afford. Im elderly and on a fixed income.

We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013. It was delivered 12/9/2013. It ran once through all cycles and dishes were dirty. Ran it again and it stopped and started blinking (many complaints say the same). So, we called Best Buy right after the new year to ask for help. Their one month warranty was up and further repairs were to be covered under Samsungs warranty. Well, two service calls later, they have to order a whole new computer panel. This is insane that an out-of-the-box dishwasher is defective. Called Samsung to ask for a replacement, and they denied it and said they will wait and see what the next replacement part does and if the issue is resolved. I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again and will hire an attorney to get my $700 back. This is outrageous that I have had to miss work 2 days already and now a third time? I would avoid Samsung products at all costs. AND, local repair parts retailers do not stock Samsung parts--they have to be special ordered.

My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues months after I purchased. The panel has been replaced about 4 or 5 times and continued to have issues like beeping for no reason, lights on and off without being touched and going out for weeks and returning back to life after weeks of not working. I have made plenty of phone calls about 40 between Samsung and their technicians with little luck. At times they closed my file just because and i would have to start the process all over again. Since my microwave has completely stopped working in August 2014 they said they would fix and came out 3 times to diagnose the same issue but never fixed it. I was told by tech he was going to order parts and be back to fix, and never did. It was a lie. They called me 3 other times after that because they wanted to diagnose it again. That makes no sense, but they claim that is the process. I complained with BBB, and Samsung now wants the original purchase receipt that I had already showed the technician in 2012. Since I dont have it they want to partially reimburse me for owning it all this time. Whos fault is that? Not mine. If Samsung would have accepted my product was defective from the beginning I would not have owned it for so long. How can the people put an end to this defective product. They should get sued or make them recall their product. I am tired of Samsung and they should be held accountable for selling faulty products.

We purchased our dishwasher in April 2016. It has never worked properly. It started out ok but then went down hill. Now its loud and doesnt wash at all. When I open the door the dishes are dirty and the soap is still on the door. I called Lowes and was told they would contact Samsung and I would get a call in two days. NEVER HAPPENED. I called back and Lowes gave me the Samsung direct number. I call Samsung for a repair, was told per my SN and model number that I purchased it in 2015. Wrong. Wasted 10 more days waiting for my receipt from Lowes. I email it to Samsung and call back, they tell me someone will be out the following Tuesday after 3. I leave work early, nobody shows up at 3:30. I call Samsung back, I am told sometimes they run late. I wait til 5:30 and am not happy. Call Samsung back and am given the number for the repair shop. I am pissed. I call the repair shop. I am told that nobody set anything up with them and this is common. Apologies, then I am told that its not covered because I bought it in 2015. NO I DID NOT. Repair shop calls Samsung to verify. Repair shop calls me back and sets up another appt. for the following Monday. I take the day off because they call and ask if I can do it earlier. Thursday, 2 days later, I get a call to set up an appt. and that it wont be covered because I bought in 2015. What? No! Apologies. Two hours later a message on my phone from repair shop, trying to set up an appt. and its not covered... WTF is going on? Monday comes, guy shows up with a big box of parts. Looks confused. Halfway through, two hours have gone by, tells me he needs to go to the store for a hose? Two hours later he has replaced almost every part in my dishwasher. I can hear it filling with water. He seems pleased and after a four hour repair job leaves after telling me to let it run. I do. After a hour I open it up and I see the same soap that was on the door. I gave up. Husband called, they are coming back Friday... OMG! We spend thousands on all new Samsung kitchen appliances and I am scared to death. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Cannot understand what they are saying, dont know what they are doing, cant understand what I am saying and thats Samsung. Repair shop is just as bad! I have told everyone I know do not buy Samsung... Just got a new work phone... Samsung. Great.

I bought a Samsung French three door refrigerator. Ice maker froze over, major ice build up in the back panel of the unit. The fan began hitting the ice build up. I called Samsung, a representative told me parts and labor were covered for 5 years. Technician shows up and tells me the evaporator fan and defrost sensor are bad. Technician tells me those items are not covered. I called Samsung while the technician is here working on the unit. Samsung tells me again the units cooling system is covered under warranty. The technician tells me and the Samsung representative the parts are not covered. Samsung representative tells me the evaporator fan and sensor are not covered because they are not part of the cooling system. I watch the technician out sealer around the icemaker because the unit doesnt have a good seal. 326.00 it costs me to fix the unit. After 55 minutes on the phone, Samsung tells me they cannot help with the cost. I spoke with Dianna and Henderson in customer service. I WILL NOT BY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN.

I was told to contact Samsungs, Escalation Customer Relations. When I called their toll free number, I was greeted with one of the rudest service reps Ive dealt with. He refused to transfer me to the ECR department, despite the fact I gave him my order number. He initially requested this number as if he were going to transfer me as I requested. We have a 3 door French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the top and bottom (thru the door dispenser). We have had it for 5-6 years and a few months after buying it it stopping producing full pieces of ice, and the ice it dispenses is all broken. This has always been frustrating but I have learned to deal with it. Then shortly after the warranty expired, it stopped making ice and it appears to just be freezing over. The ice bucket keeps freezing over making it difficult to remove it and defrost, Then, I was no longer able to remove the ice bucket. I called about getting it repaired and the cost was very high and they could not warrant the repair due to this being an issue. I had called Samsung about this and at the time they told me there was no issues reported with the ice maker. I have contacted other repair companies and they wont even work on them since they know it wont stay working. Samsung has been useless in resolving this and they know it is a major defect in their product. I spent almost $3000.00 for this piece of junk. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance!!

We shut it off to defrost whatever ice was built up on the fan and when I yanked the bottom drawer (which by the way is always stuck by the ice built up) a sheet of ice about an inch thick fell on my foot causing a gash on it. Luckily my little Yorkie jumped out of the way otherwise shed be dead. So please be careful when defrosting the damn fridge.

I had a 7 year old Samsung refrigerator that froze up completely in the back which stops the fan and then the refrigerator does not cool. Had it repaired 3 times in a month. Problem kept happening and I pretty much didn’t have a working refrigerator for 5 weeks. Finally the repairman told me the whole cooling system had to be replaced. The cost would be at least 1200.00. I wasn’t going to put that much money into a refrigerator that was over 7 years old. I thought this was just bad luck and went out and bought another Samsung refrigerator. 2 years later the exact same thing is happening and I’m going through the same thing with the Samsung Repairman who keeps coming in to fix it and two weeks later it happens again. Now I find out doing my research that this is a common problem for Samsung refrigerators and there are two class action lawsuits against them. Because the refrigerator is less than 5 years old the main cooling system is still under warranty, but Samsung doesn’t want to admit that that’s the problem and replace it. Customer service is not helpful at all and they really don’t care how long you have to go without a refrigerator. Besides this problem the inside of these refrigerators are made like crap. All the shelves on the doors have cracks in them and all the wheels on the drawers have snapped off. I will never buy another Samsung product again, unfortunately it was a very expensive lesson to learn.

We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

In 2011 we purchased a Samsung model # DMT800RHS dishwasher. It required 2 service calls within the 1st year: once because we had to keep flipping the breaker to get it to turn on and once for a problem with the control panel. The racks are held together with plastic clips. The top rack has two positions. After only 2 years, many of the plastic clips are broken, and now the rack will not stay in the up position. One of the rungs (which is also held together with plastic clips) will not stay in the upright position because of the broken clips. We also purchased an electric range and French door refrigerator. I bought a Samsung Over-The-Range Microwave from Lowes in February 2010. I just found out I need the keypad replaced. The warranty ran out in February. I called Samsung and they said there is nothing they can do because the warranty has expired. They have already been out once while the microwave was still under warranty. The cost of the repair is about $260. I tried to explain to them that even though the microwave is no longer under warranty, I would think a $400 microwave would last longer than 18 months. She said I am eligible for a new one if they have to fix the same issue twice within a year. That doesnt really matter to me since I would have to pay to have it fixed twice. She didnt understand this concept and could not get past the fact that the warranty had expired. Now I have 2 options: get it fixed or buy a new one. I would just like for a company for once to stand behind their product. I dont think an 18 month life expectancy is what they had in mind. Especially since the last cheap microwave I had lasted 15 years without incident.

The repairman gave me all the part replacement information and recommended that I contact Samsung Customer service since the problem I am having is common for this model, RF28HMEDBSR/AA. The customer service rep looked up the serial number and said that the ref is three years old and that the ice maker is only under warranty for one year. I had a Whirlpool for 11 years and wanted a new stainless steel model. I got this 2 years back from Best Buy. I didnt get the extended warranty because I never used it with my old dishwasher and all money was just gone waste. The Samsung brand proved to be my nightmare. I had to call tech service twice in 1 year. Then again after year for which I paid through my own pocket. The dishes are never clean and top shelf never gets dry. I wash all with a soap, rinse with water then again run the dishwasher. If you put the dish without washing it doesn’t get clean. The material used inside, smells like a rubber and I think my old dishwasher was much sturdier than this WaterWall. Additionally, you have to baby it. They called Samsung and the salesperson advised, after an hour on the phone with their rep, they were going to contact me and arrange when a tech could come out and look at my refrigerator before it would be verified that I would receive these two screws. Still waiting, totally ridiculous. Obviously a very authoritative organization, lacking leadership and the ability to allow simple decisions to its employees.

We have had the Samsung dishwasher about 4 years and this is the 4th time we have had the same trouble. The machine comes on and then you can hear the water going to the washer and then you hear it pumping out. Then the lights come on indicating low water level. According to the owner manual the first it happen it was still in warranty. The repairman came out and replaces a sensor box on the side of the washer. The second time it happen about a year later my husband took the sensor box off and replaced it. It wasnt under warranty. We cant afford to call the repairman. The last time I took everything from the washer and ran a couple cups of vinegar through a cycle and it has worked fine until this time I tried to run the washer again with vinegar but it didnt work. I will never get another Samsung appliance again. We also have a refrigerator that has some problems but thank the Good Lord it still works. The model # for the dishwasher is DMT 400RHSAAX. SN is A3JAG9MZ A03217D. We bought the dishwasher at Sears in Shelby NC.

Bought the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in Black Stainless Steel in July. It was not delivered on time, Lowes claimed that Samsung sends it when they feel like it and doesnt adhere to the deadlines they themselves create. My refrigerator wasnt delivered until late August! We had our first dishwasher leak in August, had to replace the kitchen floor! The dishwasher has had many problems with cleaning, Ive been told its due to the distance between the washer and sink. So I basically use it as a sanitizer. Started leaking again, called Samsung, they sent the information to a contractor in town. Contractor ordered parts, 7-10 business days to get the part!!! Are you kidding me??? An emergency plumber could come take care of this today!!!Ive been on the phone with them for hours today, there is nothing they can do to speed up this process. The best they can do is turn my water off so it doesnt ruin my floor again! Thats wonderful with a house full of people and Thanksgiving at my house. I bought brand new so I didnt have to deal with this. I guess Samsung just doesnt mean quality anymore.

I have been calling for a week with no results in sight. If you are researching products prior to a purchase, please read all the complaints on the manufacturers warranty and most important Service. BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCE. You will regret your decision. CASE # **: My refrigerator failed a week ago, lost hundreds of dollars in food, water damages to surrounding cabinet. I have made numerous calls and been transferred to several departments with no relief in sight.

We purchased all 4 appliances from Samsung when we moved into our new home (Refrigerator, stove, over-the-range microwave, and dishwasher). A package deal from the former Future Shop chain. Total price was just over $4,500 for the stainless steel set. Within one year, things started to fail. The fan on the convection stove stopped one month after the warranty ended. I fixed it myself to the tune of $90. 2 years on, the dishwasher grew louder and louder. The dishes never cleaned 100% perfectly. Eventually we had to wash the dishes when nobody was home (That loud). 36 months after purchase, the refrigerator began to ice up and stopped working. Two repair bills and 2 loads of spoiled food. We gave up on it and had to replace it. Repair bills were $200. Lost groceries were $250. New Frigidaire price? = $2500+. At the anniversary of year 4, the dishwasher quit. Bosch replacement? - $800.Now the microwave. The plastic door hook broke inside. I had to rig the tension spring onto another inside part so it would work. Then the top, plastic grill broke. The screw clips fatigued and split causing the grill to fall. Now the door wont close and the replacement part isnt made anymore. Cost to replace the microwave? - Still looking today (Probably +$500). So there you have it friends. DONT BUY SAMSUNG.

Referred to Warranty services in TX. 7 - Tyrone/warranty dept states Repair’s documentation isn’t clear about who or what damaged the unit….warranty voided. We are the not so proud owners of a brand new broken microwave and I felt compelled to warn others. 494 bucks is 494 bucks and the fact is we paid them for a broken product and they didn’t make it right. We purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator (Model #RF263BEAESR) in March of 2013. What a piece of junk and to add insult to injury... poor customer service from Samsung. The unit does not defrost properly on its own. We have been experiencing ice build up behind the back interior panel of the fridge compartment. The ice builds up to such an amount that the fan blades can be heard scraping the ice build up, which is an unpleasant sound along with the motor groaning at times. In addition, we have been dealing with water leaking from the back panel onto the shelves and inside the bins.Contacted Samsung and they arranged for the only authorized service repair company in our area (40 miles away) to contact me. Set up an appointment with them. On the afternoon of the appointment (while Im sitting at home waiting for them during the time block they arranged) they call to cancel. Then when I try to reschedule they keep offering only morning times which I told them I could not do. I got so frustrated with the whole ordeal I simply told them to forget it. Then when I email Samsung with my frustrations they reply with bunch of B.S. that did nothing to correct the problem or stand behind their product. Now after only being 3 years old, I am replacing this giant piece of crap with a new refrigerator because I am so disgusted with Samsung.Go to YouTube and you will see how to videos on how to attempt to fix Samsung refrigerators with the exact same issues we are having. And there are countless horror stories on ConsumerAffairs.com of people having the same issues with their Samsung fridges. Not to mention in 2010 there was a class action lawsuit against Samsung for the exact same issues with some of their fridges. But yet Samsung has the audacity to tell me they are not aware of any such issues with their refrigerators. Funny how the appliance place we purchased our replacement fridge from no longer carries Samsung. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of Samsung for appliances... Period. They are a piece of junk and the company is horrible to deal with.

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

We purchased this product on July 27 2017. Months after we purchased it the ice maker started icing up and water started dripping inside the fridge. When you would hit the ice button you would first get water then ice would drop. The ice would not be totally frozen. Then water would drip out after you were finished. Three different times they have replaced the whole ice maker. On Nov 8 2018 they told our repair man they were going to do an exchange. Then on Nov 29 they had another company come in and fix it (3 time). On Jan 24 it started doing the same thing. When we contacted Samsung they told us it is now our problem. They are not going to fix it again. They totally lied to us about exchanging it. This fridge is nothing but junk and headaches. We ended up going to Sams Club and purchased an ice maker. You spend nearly $3000.00 for a refrigerator and you cant even have it make ice. Buy from a different company. They know they have problems with this refrigerator and they wont stand behind them. We will never have another Samsung in our house. Read other reviews on this. I know others have the same issue. We read them but we thought they had the issues resolved. I bought a French Door, 2 drawer blue stainless Samsung refrigerator Model # RF25HMEDBSG 19 months ago. The icemaker started freezing up immediately after the 12 month warranty expired. I have deiced the icemaker 4 times in the last seven months. This week the fan in the back started making noise because it was rubbing on an ice buildup in the coils. This isnt what I expected when I laid out $ 2,088 for what I thought was a quality product. I didnt think I would need an extended warranty to cover the first three years. Wrong!! I looked at a YouTube video which saved me a service call which would have cost about $300 from Dish. What I learned was that there is a way to do a manual defrost for the coils that is not in the Users Manual. Empty your refrigerator. On my model, press the top item on the left side of the display which is Freezer and the middle item on the right side which is Lighting and hold for 12 seconds. It will go through a series of displays and stop on the last which is FD for Fast Defrost. This activates the heating elements to defrost the coils. It beeps for 30 or 40 minutes then stops which I assume means that the defrost is complete. I carefully defrosted the icemaker with a heat gun on low from a distance. That was 3 days ago and I have icemaker ice and no fan noise. We shall see how long it holds up. The YouTube showed an older model but by pressing the SAME LOCATIONS on the display twelve seconds, FF came up and he had to press a function three or four times until the Fast Defrost FD started. Use at your own discretion. I hope this saves you some repair $$.

I told them I had the receipts and then faxed and emailed them the receipts as requested. Samsung outsources their repairs to local vendors. I was given the name and phone number of a local vendor along with a ticket number (**). The earliest appointment the repair shop could give me was for Monday, November 5th. I was told I would get a call in the morning to let me know what time the service person would be coming. No call came at all. I did call three times and was told someone will get back to me. Alluded to this in my earlier rating of the refrigerator product. More specifically, the induction stove is also a hit and miss item. We have purchased VERY high end cookware and find that some cookware works on some of the burners, but it is very hit and miss. We waited until our one year Samsung warranty expired so we dont have to work with their ponderous/painful/frustrating warranty department, and now will work with the extended warranty we purchased from a reputable retailer to see how that works. I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.

I have owned my refrigerator for less than a month. When it was delivered I noticed a small dent in it which the store compensated me $70 for. A week or so later I saw a small chip on the same door. This is a black stainless steel refrigerator that retails for about $1800 (RF261BDAESG). I went to the store and they told me to contact Samsung. I spoke with Samsung and they said they would send a technician out and gave me the company name. I was contacted by that company and told that if they came out and decided it was physical damage I would have to pay for the service call, $200. Also said that if I wanted it fixed it would cost up to $400. I have no intention of paying for any repair for an appliance thats less than a month old.First whats physical damage? If they mean that it was done by me how can that be determined? Whos to say it wasnt caused at the same time as the dent was made? Why would they sell a product that can seemingly be damaged so easily? I spent about 30 minutes on the phone after speaking with their service center trying to resolve this, as long as I dont pay. Im pretty sure they would say its my fault just to save Samsung money. My main concern is the lack of customer service from Samsung because I bought an entire kitchen suite. I purchased Samsung because I had always heard positive things about them but I can guarantee that I will do my best to dissuade anyone from purchasing any Samsung product.

We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2013. In the summer of 2016, the fridge/freezer broke for the first time. Samsung sent out their qualified repair experts who attempted to fix the problem but in the process, caused further harm. They ended up attempting to fix the fridge 7 more times without success. They then determined that it was an entirely new issue requiring us to buy yet another part and pay for labor yet again. Contact with Samsung was unhelpful. Because we were out of the 1 year warranty time period, there was nothing they were willing to do. We were without a reliable refrigerator/freezer for more than 6 months. Many times we had to throw away all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. We interrupted our work and home-life schedule 8 times to be there for the repair service 4 hour window. We expected Samsung to recognize a faulty refrigerator and offer immediate compensation. This was a bad purchase-- we do not recommend Samsung to anyone. Their customer service is below any standard.

In 2010 I purchased five Samsung appliances with a five-year extended warranty. Shortly after the first year every one of the appliances had issues. I emailed Samsung and they did not even have the courtesy to reply. The stove had so many replacement parts, it was practically a rebuilt and finally deemed a lemon by Samsung. The dishwasher never cleaned well from the start despite following all the guidelines, had major parts replaced and finally stopped working all together. It was deemed a lemon and replaced. The fridge had water pooling in and under a crisper. That problem was fixed after three service calls and now it is doing the same thing. The washer stopped dispensing hot water and had major parts replaced. The dryer element burned out right after one year and then the door started having trouble staying closed. The dryer was less than three years old and Samsung could not supply a replacement door. The dishwasher was finally replaced with a new one and is nowhere near the quality of the first model. It will be a year old in June and is already having cleaning issues. The stove and dryer were three years old on an extended warranty when Samsung offered a buy out. I assumed that meant they would be paying enough money to replace the appliances. After all, the warranty states they would fix or replace defective appliances. That was not the case. The buyout fell short of actually being able to replace the same items. Dont fall for that song and dance. I thought I was buying a good name and good quality with Samsung. I was not.

Samsung RF217ACWP - purchased in July 2011 from Lowes. First one delivered was taken back because the ice maker did not work and was not properly assembled. I have had this one for two years. Now the crispers and the tray under them are filling with water. Repairman said it may be the sensor or the seals, but not sure. Also he said that it is a known problem with these refrigerators. Its $125 into the repair so far and we are thinking about spending $1,000 to buy a different brand - First and last Samsung refrigerator we will ever buy.

After a year, this dishwasher has stopped working. Customer service informed me that it was out of warranty and offered no real troubleshooting help. I was told to unplug the machine for one minute to see if the dishwasher would reset. No it did not. Obviously from the reviews, this is a well-known issue with Samsung dishwashers and unless the problem occurs within a year, you are own your own!!! DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES.

Samsung counter refrigerator rf197acrs - After one year, our great looking
Samsung counter refrigerator rf197acrs - After one year, our great looking Samsung refrigerator started to accumulate water and ice under crispers. We defrosted the refrigerator. It stopped for a while but ice started to accumulate at the back of refrigerator behind wall (you could see buildup through air pockets). In addition, the fan started to make noise and eventually the refrigerator shut down all together. As we were waiting for someone to help us, we called Samsung with little help as we did not purchase additional warranty. We called Lowes with little help; however they were sympathetic to our predicament. We finally had repairman out and he exchanged part at back of refrigerator wall but that also failed. He came out again and replaced the same part with a new one and here I am waiting for this one to break! This situation leaves one with a feeling of hopelessness!

Over this past month, a horrible smell started emitting out of my 2-year-old Samsung French Door refrigerator. It smelled like a petrochemical --- nauseatingly sweet and very very susceptible to becoming airborne and stinking the whole house up. I emptied all the food out and it sat empty for a week and still stunk bad. Wiping it down did not help. The cooling functionality of both the fridge and the freezer parts was fine. I then turned it off for a week while I waited on Samsung to respond to my service call request. The phone call into Samsung did not go very well at all, with the service representative telling me emphatically that they do not have a 5-year warranty on this refrigerator, even though it is printed in Samsungs manual supplied with the unit. Only when I read the page off to her, did she relent and said that they did have a 5-year warranty, but only on key internal parts -- which I knew and had repeatedly told her. She did not want to schedule me for a diagnostic (which I would still have to pay the $89 basic fee no matter what), because Samsung does not warranty against odors. Though gritted teeth, I explained 5 times over that I was smelling a chemical smell of degraded plastic or Freon or some structural material... and we needed a service call to get to the root of the matter. When the Samsung technician arrived and took off the panel at the back inside wall of the refrigerator, where all the control mechanisms are, a black wad of goo tumbled out of the compartment. The technician stated that all of the mechanisms were working great. I pounced on the wad of goo that had bounced to the bottom of the fridge floor. Whats this stuff? He said it was a type of putty that goes around some of the controls to kind of cushion them. We glanced up at the coils and tubing in the innards of the controls, and I could see where the goo-putty had pulled away from a section leaving behind little remnants. I said to the technician, what if this happened.... What if the putty, once eroded away, slipped down to where it should not have been and reacted with an electrical heat-emitting part of the control panel, and the heat caused the goo to degrade and become airborne. He thought that intriguing, especially since everything else worked. The goo smelled bad like the odor... but then again, so had every container of food I had thrown away, the odor was so pervasive. The goo is in a ziploc now, and 3 days after technician, the smell has decreased significantly to just a linger. I am going to wipe it down again and put in baking soda. I think we got this. For clarity, the putty goo was a misshapen lump of coal-black squishy stuff about the size and consistency of a big chewed-up wad of Hubba Bubba bubblegum (dating myself here).

First the poor design was the ice maker which broke three times. Repaired it twice and gave up. Bought ice maker. (Mine was the ice maker on top of freezer. Always getting knocked into and broken). I noticed new models dont have the ice maker on top of freezer. Plastic parts broke. Now it is hot in the refrigerator and freezer. Lost between $200 -300 dollars worth of food. Then TRY to find a repairmen. What a sorry lot. Supposed to come last Thursday, truck broke down. Was rescheduled for Sat. No show. Now they can come Sat. That is one week and a half without a refrigerator. I spent big bucks on this I believe 4 or five years ago. Will NEVER get another Samsung product.

I will never buy another black appliance. It is a nightmare to clean. Otherwise Samsung makes a great product. It is about 5 yrs old and the refrigerator light blinks and won’t stay on. I have changed the bulb. I believe it is the internal workings.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator from Home Depot to replace an old refrigerator that had developed a Freon leak. When the new refrigerator was delivered and plugged it, it immediately tripped the GFI breaker. The Home Depot delivery crew said there must be a problem with the electrical circuit. Lamps and other test units plugged in to the outlet worked, but plugging in the refrigerator immediately tripped the circuit. We paid for an electrician to come out. He said that the circuit tested OK but recommended that we replace the GFI breaker. He installed a new GFI breaker and outlet for the refrigerator. The circuit tripped immediately when the refrigerator was plugged in. The electrician tested and diagnosed the problem as an internal short in the refrigerator. Electrician cost $296. We contacted Home Depot about the problem, and our call was routed to Samsung. After about 15 minutes answering questions with the Samsung representative, we were told that a local Samsung service contractor would contact us within 48 to 72 business hours. We received a call from Central Electronics Services saying that the soonest the could have a technician come out to diagnose the problem would be two weeks later - nothing could be done to advance the service schedule. We went in to Home Depot who expressed concern about the problem and said that it is not uncommon to experience problems in getting manufacturer warranty service from Samsung. We are still awaiting the Central Electronics/Samsung service technician to arrive. Hopefully the defective refrigerator will be replaced with a properly functioning unit without undue. In the interim, we warn others considering purchase of a Samsung major appliance about the poor service from Samsung. Buyer beware!

We purchased the Samsung french door model at Sears. After that, it had broken several times in three years (ice maker). I tried to research this brand and others, and we went with this model. It has to be the sorriest and smallest ice maker that exists. Do not buy this ref if you use over three glasses of ice a day. It sucks.

Purchased a 4 piece Samsung Appliance Package. Initially, after 6 months, I gave them a 5 star review. Still, after 4 years, every appliance has performed above my expectations. BUT... buyer beware... DO NOT purchase appliances with the black stainless finish. The finish on my oven door is peeling off... looks hideous. I purchased the extended 5 year warranty, but cosmetic defects are NOT covered. I have to purchase a $317.00 (plus) replacement oven door. Why would a company that makes quality appliances not cover a factory defective finish and ruin their reputation? Very disappointed. Spent hours with customer service to no avail.

I like the stove, but I bought it with a divider thinking it would make two stoves which is not really working well. When you use the bottom with the top it gets too hot on the top portion. I would not recommend to spend the extra money for a divider.

We bought Samsung fridge on 11 June 2016 (Model No. RT39K5538S9) from BAJAJ ELECTRONICS. Within a week started formation of ice inside the fridge. We kept quiet and it started leaking water in 1st month. We raised compliant (No. **). Customer care people instead of coming to site and rectifying they instructed to do switch off the fridge let the ice melts. We did and one week it is fine. Again started forming ice. Again we raised compliant (No. **). Service engineer came this time and said PCB and Sensor needs to be replaced. Why Samsung is selling damaged products to customers? Without a proper check they are supplying products to the showrooms which is causing problems to consumers. We bought that fridge with 44,000 and suffering a lot. Instead of replacing the product if it is having problem they are repairing the fridge as it is 5 or 10 year old fridge. Disgusting. We informed all our apartment, colleagues and friends, approx. 75 people, not to buy Samsung products and they will not buy for sure.
