Samsung Microwave SMH1865ST - This microwave is showing a POS-SE error code and it won’t go away. This microwave is only 2 years old. This error code started happening about 6 months ago, and I haven’t been able to use it since. Count me in for the class action lawsuit.
I bought my Samsung fridge (# RS261MDWP) new March 2011, from Sears. I have had to have the LED light replaced last year. I ordered the part myself and had a repairman put it in. I did not buy an extended warranty and reading all the other comments, makes me think I made a fair decision. I see neither Samsung nor Sears are standing by their product. Now the fan (which moves the cold air from the freezer to the fridge) is making a terrible noise. I called the same repairman and he said I needed to replace the fan, and ordered the part. It will cost $250 approx. to do the repairs. Since I made that call, my neighbor told me the fan will stop making noise intermittently. It is in the quiet phase now. I did not call the repairman back to replace the fan, as I think he wants to make a fast buck. If I end up having to replace the fan, I may as well buy a new fridge, as other comments lead me to believe I am on the cusp of more repairs needed. I understand there is a civil lawsuit pending? Please help me find where I can add my name to the list of dissatisfied owners. Thank You.
We have a 3 door French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the top and bottom (thru the door dispenser). We have had it for 5-6 years and a few months after buying it it stopping producing full pieces of ice, and the ice it dispenses is all broken. This has always been frustrating but I have learned to deal with it. Then shortly after the warranty expired, it stopped making ice and it appears to just be freezing over. The ice bucket keeps freezing over making it difficult to remove it and defrost, Then, I was no longer able to remove the ice bucket. I called about getting it repaired and the cost was very high and they could not warrant the repair due to this being an issue. I had called Samsung about this and at the time they told me there was no issues reported with the ice maker. I have contacted other repair companies and they wont even work on them since they know it wont stay working. Samsung has been useless in resolving this and they know it is a major defect in their product. I spent almost $3000.00 for this piece of junk. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance!!
I like this fridge except the ice maker has become very slow. There have been 3 repair calls over the last 4 years all related to the noisy freezer, broken ice maker and now leaking ice buildup. Also the black metal skin dents very easy and is pocketed with small dents. We have Samsung Model RS25J500BC.
I had a bad experience with one of those Samsung single/double compartment ovens, the spaces are too small. They contained too much moisture when roasting joints of meat, they wouldnt listen to my complaints. It was only until the bottom of the oven went rusty that l got my money back. The condensation from the moisture in the meat, was actually hot steam, so after sealing the meat the steam would then tighten the meat so the only way to get it tender would be to cook low and slow. I might have well just thrown the lamb leg into a pot of boiling water.
DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).
The ice maker on this fridge (Samsung Refrigerator Model RF23HCEDBWW) is a nightmare. We have had it for a year and since day one, it has created frost, not dispensed a lot of ice and leaked both inside and outside of the appliance. It builds ice up inside the refrigerator portion, underneath the bottom chill drawer. Save yourself some heartache and DO NOT purchase this model.
OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refrigerator site that are soul jarring. Samsung’s refrigerators don’t work: **. Samsung’s behavior is clearly a corporate recognition of a refrigerator failure problem and use of a purposefully painful customer service experience to suppress or even eliminate revenue loss from fixing their problems. They can build a TV, but boy the Samsung refrigerator division... no other way to say it... sucks. Remarkable that they go adversarial with people who bought their product. These people bought their product, they supported revenue for the company. They are not the bad guys and are not deserving the persecution articulated in these postings. We purchased our remodeled condo in St Pete recently and just this week discovered that our impressive looking 3 or 4 year old Samsnot (nickname I heard in conversations about this brand) refrigerator (RF24FSEDBSR/AA) is unable to prevent foods from spoiling or doing exactly what everyone on the Samsung site is complaining about, not staying cold.In addition to the cooling system failure in only 4 years, we found the Samsnot fridge to be poorly designed vis a vis: The doors dont close! Often, very often, we look over and see that the door we had swung closed and walked away from is open slightly. There is a short lived, tiny audio alarm to alert you, but you can barely hear it. If it was loud enough, the frequency of door open alarms would qualify as Abu Gahrib sound torture. They cant build a refrigerator that has dependably closing doors? I’m 72 and never had a fridge that didn’t allow its doors to close. As Jackie Mason would say... Refrigerators are not their line of work. The stainless finish is also a challenge to keep righteous. It always smears and you need to be wiping that stainless steel spray stuff on... All the time... to keep it moderately presentable. They actually engineered a high maintenance finish. And the ice maker! What a piece of annoying scree that contraption is. It has legions of people complaining about it. After reading the online complaints, we turn ours off just to make life easier. First it jams so that to remove it from inside the refrigerator, you need Dwayne Johnson to show up and then yank it free of its receptacle. Why remove the ice maker? Once Dwayne has pulled the rudimentary ice making device out for you, it is then necessary to go in and clean out the built up ice-frost in the ice maker compartment... you know... defrost it.We bought our condo with this piece of Samsnot junk already installed, so we are shaping our posture on this Samsnot mechanical travesty to be that we really didnt pay for it and that we can kind of justify going out and buying a new fridge. Given what is written on the Samsung refrig site, we dont even want to allow Sams the opportunity to defile us with their malevolent customer service. We are the second owners and well out of the 1 year warranty but still within the 5 year warranty for the cooling system, nevertheless we see that did not do any of the people on the site much good. Fridges were effortlessly built to last 15 to 25 years in the 60s. How can these Samsung people, from a culture oriented to excellence (think Honda/Toyota/Panasonic/Subaru/Sony), be so unskilled and then so combative when asked to make things right?I feel compelled to educate unsuspecting people to the reported hazards of this brand’s refrigerator failure plus my own experience with my under 5 year failure. My efforts will never impact their overall business, but given the bevy of refrigerator makers competing for the consumers refrigerator dollar any friction to their business will offer some measure of gratification. Samsung’s own site with lots of complaints, if you missed it before: **.
3 weeks ago our refrigerator quit cooling. We called Samsung and they sent a person out to see the unit. He said the compressor was out and would need to be replaced. We contacted Samsung and they said he was not allowed to replace the compressor. We asked they send a qualified tech out with a new compressor. Then we were told they did not have any one in our area to do warranties. We asked if they would send the compressor and we would find someone to replace it. They said no but would offer us a buyout on the old unit of $1.250.00. We accepted, but now they wont accept the invoice we provided from Lowes. We had already bought a new refrigerator. Basically we bought a Samsung refrigerator for $1800.00 that lasted for 18 months. Will be the last Samsung product I will buy!
I bought my Samsung fridge when I moved into my new house. My wishful thinking was soon becoming a nightmare. The plastic door for the bottom drawer broke twice and the electronics control panel failed twice as well. The fridge is now waiting for repair. I dont believe that Samsung really wishes this product to last long so it fails so often that force the consumers to buy a new one. I will buy a new fridge soon but not from Samsung.
I call to Samsung for repair my refrigerator double door twice in the year of the warranty, and I sent my galaxy 2 smartphone three times for repair to Texas office during the year of warranty. After finished the year of warranty both products dont work well. One private technician told the smartphone galaxy 2 came from the factory with problems but Samsung doesnt want to change my phone with another brand new one. The same with the refrigerator.
Samsung 17 Cu Ft SLIM FRY OvertheRange Microwave SS 1571002 - Bought X-mas 2013. Keypad stopped working or behaved randomly turning lights and fans on randomly or operated by a ghost. Nov 2016 microwave doesnt even power up. Its outside 1 year warranty period and refusal to replace it. My previous microwave lasted 10 years. Dont buy Samsung Microwaves.
Bought the refrigerator (Samsung Model RS2556SH) on 10/15/2004 and, except for the ice maker and the fact that its a bit noisy, it has worked well ever since it was installed. While the ice maker does make ice, there is usually a mixture of crushed and cubed ice and the selection setting doesnt make much difference. Im writing the review because, after reading the reviews posted on this site, I felt I should offer a positive review and let readers know there is at least one person whos had a fairly good experience with a Samsung refrigerator.
Had to be replaced after 10 months, compressor went. New fridge therefore had only 2 months left on the warranty, warranty does not start again with new fridge. 2 months after the warranty expired, the ice maker went. Now, a year after that, its buzzing like crazy. Found out that a couple of years ago there was a class action suit against Samsung for ice maker issues.
I got the SE code on the Samsung microwave and after reading the complaints here, I called Sears where we got it and had a tech come out. We were able to keep using it until then by holding the stop/clear and start/enter button. Then I got to the point where Id take off the panel and move the wires and it would work again. Also, using the timer/clock seemed to be the issue. Anyhow, Sears came out for $75 to tell me what I already knew (needed new key pad/control box) and it would be a total of $200 for them to repair it (its only a $200 microwave). But he did tell me how to replace it. I tried to get the part from Samsung and they wouldnt as it was just out of warranty (so dont waste your time trying). JJ Parts in NJ is the part dealer for Samsung. I called and got the part with shipping for $70. Installation was super easy: two screws on the top of the unit on the vent grill and then slide it out. Then there is one screw at the top of the control panel. Open the door and lift the control panel up and it comes right off. Then there are a few ribbon cables to take off and it is clearly marked when you need to install them on the new keypad. Someone noted never work on a microwave due to it holding onto a charge - yes, that is true, but youd have to go way into the machine. Unplug the unit obviously before doing this repair, but I cant see how youd possibly run into any issues with this super easy repair.
I purchased a Samsung electric convection range. The 2 front burners do not regulate the heat properly thereby burning/over cooking my food! Very dissatisfied with the performance as I cook daily! Low is High! If you want to simmer your soup, forget it! How can a manufacturer expect you to deal with inconsistent heat elements? Must be a systemic problem. After reading other reviews needs to be recalled! How do we get a recall done?
Last year at the Black Friday sale I purchase the French door Samsung fridge and a Samsung dishwasher. Terrible experience. Fridge and dishwasher came defective. I paid warranty on both. After so much trouble they finally fixed my fridge, which would make this terrible noise, like an old car. Now, with the dishwasher for which I paid 700 dollars, came with a defective rail on one of the trays, and also the door is defective. Neither Lowes or Samsung have been able to help me. They said is nothing they can do. Even with the warranty. I havent been able to use my dishwasher and I still making payments on it. Never in my life I will buy or recommend Samsung products again. And not at Lowes either. They are the worst.
I bought a Samsung French Door RFG297 refrigerator in Dec. 2011. It broke down after 2 years. First sign is the ice melted and spilt water all over because the ice melted and then not make any ice anymore after one day; the freezer is not cold anymore. Please read the reviews before you buy a Samsung refrigerator because I really care, and I don’t want it to happen to you. I wish I read all of the reviews about this product before I bought it. I even called customer care if a lot of people make complaints about Samsung refrigerator, and she said no because I told her I saw a hundred complaints about the same problem. I asked her if the company is doing something or a recall of the product and she said no. Please keep putting on reviews about this product, because I still expect mass recall for this refrigerator.
BUYERS BEWARE!! The worst experience involving the Samsung dishwasher DW80H9 series. First year the top rack was not functioning properly. The fix was use zip ties to stabilize, this was from a Samsung tech. Second year continually got the E7 error code, replaced the spray arm motor and assembly. Third year, same E7 code and replaced same parts again, but I had to wait 2-1/2 months to get the correct part. This year is the fourth year, guess what, same error code. Today I canceled all extended warranties, this company needs to remove their products from the consumer base and start over again. The Samsung Protection Plus warranty system is a joke also, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. If I can change a handful of peoples minds to purchase a different manufacturers product, my job is done. Please be aware that Samsungs appliances are pretty and your kitchen looks awesome, but not functional and you will be spending your valuable time on the phone for hours for repair. Please take heed!!!
We bought our dishwasher over a year ago and have had nothing but problems. It smells all the time! We never had this problem before with our old one. The detergent latch opens about half the time but it leaves soapy residue every time. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. I will be replacing this one very soon.
Bought a Samsung fridge months ago with the promise of a free vac cleaner and 50 bucks shopping voucher. Till date, nothing in stock. Its a joke.
I have a Samsung French door refrigerator model #rf26vabbp. It is about 6 years old. It constantly freezes up in back. I had technician come out in first year but it was unthawed before they got there and worked again. I called Samsung and their suggestion was to turn off and let unthaw and a technician could come out. I think should be recall because so many of these refrigerators have same problem. I do not think should have to clear refrigerator out every other month to unthaw and fix problem.
I bought this Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBSR/aa in Nov 2014. The freezer door handle insert failed in Dec 2016. I have spent 2 months working with a repair tech, Samsung parts, and Samsung (Lack of) Customer. This small approximately $10 part has been discontinued. The only option is to spend $389 for a new freezer door and $125 to install it. My service tech (5 star rated) reported he spoke to the Samsung techs and determined Samsung has known about this problem for several years. It appears sells products with known defects, but does not want to support the customers. He also reported there are other Samsung parts which have been discontinued for relatively new units. The scroll compressor has a 10 year warranty. What good is that warranty if the rest of the refrigerator falls apart? By the way, the local authorized Samsung service company received an F rating from the BBB.
I had the fridge for 2 years and 2 months. The top section does not work. The product has been in for repairs twice and is still not fixed. I have paid a lot of money for this product. Can you please advise as to what to do?
We were told that we could only have one ticket open at a time. We were more concerned about our freezer that went out. Once that was completed we were guaranteed to have our ice maker fixed due to issues that had with the brand we had. Once we try to put in a ticket it kept getting canceled stating we were out of warranty. Rep looked up our serial and model # before he did anything. Now we get all these cancellations each time I call for a supervisor because Samsung couldn’t hold to their promise. I don’t care if our of warranty or not! This should have been promoted when the rep looked up the information. Poor at holding their promise when I’m in fact they know they had issues with this model.
Have a Samsung side by side frig model RF23J9011SR. Had work under the manufacture warranty done and also several times under the extended warranty and still the ice maker leaks water and freezes up all the time. Contacted Samsung service and was told I need to go to the place which sold me the appliance to resolve the issue, which was Lowes. I was told by Lowes I need to contact Samsung. So now I am going back to Lowes.
Bought this item new in September and feel good if we get 3 washes out of 10 attempts. It constantly blinks in the heavy cycle and is basically stuck there. The unit will start up like its going to wash and gets stuck in a drain cycle. Theres no water in the tub - it just runs like its trying to drain. The problem is intermittent which drives me crazy as weve had service people out and the unit worked fine. 2 days later it was back to its old self - stuck in a drain cycle. Aside from this, it does not get the dishes dry and many times the soap dispenser doesnt open - therein the dishes only get rinsed. If I could only go back - I would buy the Bosch any day over this POC.
I ordered the Install and old appliance haul away when I bought my dishwasher. I got neither of these things. The all in one package is why I chose Samsung to begin with. The contractors who arrived with my appliance had no certifications to install anything nor did they bring any tools (I had to give them my tools). The contractors pulled my old dishwasher halfway out and said they couldnt go any further for fear of damaging the wall (the washer wasnt connected to the wall and any qualified installation tech or plumber would have known that). So they left me stuck with a dishwasher halfway out of place. I had to get a plumber to come out and finish the job which costed me money! I was also transferred 5 times because agents kept transferring me to the wrong department and had to call twice because while on hold I was transferred to the review line which took me off the call. After finally being transferred to the home appliance line the agent kept telling me he understood my frustration and he would be upset too if that happened to him. After I asked at the bare minimum compensate me for the the plumber having to come out he told me there was NOTHING he could do because it was XPOs fault not Samsung. Well I paid Samsung for a Samsung product so yes it is Samsungs fault! So Im out the money for a plumber!I have already left a complaint with the BBB and will not be ordering anything from such a dishonest company again. I was lied to when the Samsung website said installation and haul away. The best offer I got from the agent was they could send someone out the week after which is completely unacceptable because again my dishwasher was hanging halfway out! All the agents I talked to should feel ashamed of their terrible customer service and Samsung should be ashamed that they LIE on their website.
Own two Samsung refrigerators, one in FL one in NJ, both have continuous freeze problems. Very unfortunate, as I also own Samsung ranges (electric & gas) as well as 2 stainless dishwashers, with no problems. The larger refrigerator 4 doors, rf4287HARS, freezes up below the freezer drawer, while the 3 door model freezes up below the vegetable & meat drawers. Samsung doesnt want to know you if out of warranty, even though its clearly a design flaw. Shortly after the warranty expired, the larger fridge digital panel readout stopped working. Samsung should stop manufacturing refrigerators - or address the problems.
I am going to sound like a broken record on here. NEVER buy a Samsung dishwasher!!! Every single part has been replaced, and yet it still does not work! Technician said there is literally no other parts to replace. Yet Samsung says too bad. If its deemed ineffective they will prorate the machine for reimbursement. At this point, its pennies. I think we should all band together and file a class action lawsuit against them. We all work hard for our money, and for them to provide a misleading, ineffective machine is awful. Model # DMR78AHS Serial # A37LG9MS500980B
I bought Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST in March 2011 and just got the SE/5E code. After reading hundreds of similar complaints, I contacted Samsung. They are sending a service repair company to replace the control panel free of charge even though it is out of warranty. I was told that this was considered an epidemic type of issue that Samsung is aware of. If after the replacement of the control panel I am still receiving the error message, then the control box will need to be replaced at my expense. I just wanted to share with anyone who is just now getting this error code that Samsung will work with you on some level. Better than nothing, I guess.
My freezer stopped freezing & I called a repair man to fix it (Samsung is a hard company for repair people to deal with and there are very limited people that work on them). Upon looking at it he told me that it was leaking Freon (which should never happen on this unit because its sealed). He charged me $90 and suggested that I call Samsung and explain to them to see if they would help me because it would be a lengthy repair and it could cost $400 and to top it off there may be no way to located the leak if its too small to patch. So, I called Samsung and after several calls & several supervisors I got them to set up an appointment with A&E Factory repairs - to which they didnt show up for that appointment. Samsung called them again & set an appointment for later the same day - to which they did not show up again. Again Samsung called them (this time I required a 3 way call) & set up another appointment (for another day). The A&E Factory repair guy came, pulled the freezer out & determined that it was in fact leaking. He ordered the parts & two weeks later the repair guy came. He said he could not work on the unit because I had laminate flooring & he requested that I sign a waiver. I refused & they left. I then called to reset another appointment for three weeks later (after my vacation) and was told that that date wasnt available yet, Id have to call back next week.Samsung has not helped me with my freezer issue and I am not happy at all with their product or the warranty repair service. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product in my life! Repair people dont want work with Samsung products. Their Customer Service sucks! They use A&E Factory repair (Their Customer Service sucks!).
Samsung Microwave model no SMH9151STE - I received the SE Error for the first time a week ago or so and followed the instructions provided to clear the error so that the microwave can function again. Unplugging did reset and clear the SE error only for about 12 hours and then it came back again. I called Samsung and discovered that my warranty had expired. The microwave is under 2 years old. The angering part is that it took the very nice repairman about 15 to 20 minutes total to switch out the part and correct the issue. The total cost of the part was $33.61. I was charged $135 plus tax for about 20 minutes of labor. This seems like a common error and since this is the case, why doesnt Samsung provide some sort of discount since their product is defective? Samsung should stand behind their products and offer customers experiencing the SE error some sort of discount or no charge for 20 minutes of labor!
This model I have was the worst engineered product that has been seen on the market. Samsungs have all the bells and whistles, great novel my useful designs but the quality is not up to the price asked. The repairman said they tried for three years to fix the ice buildup problem and finally got it right after three years. I find that I still see ice, though it has not stopped cooling but it feels like skating on thin ice and that it will break again at any given moment. JCPenney now has appliances and they are phasing out selling Samsung. The enameled on their stoves is so thin. As is the paint on the refrigerator. I wont buy this brand again. The new features are always enticing with this brand but dont fall for it. By the way read about the problems And complaints before you read the glowing reviews about any appliance and always buy the extended warranty if you cant afford a big repair bill visit. Most appliances the repair person told me appliances need a repair in 1 1/2 years to 3 years. They just dont make them like they use to. And dont think high end and huge price is also an indication of quality, it just may be a status brand.
I bought Samsung side by side refrigerator for 4 years, model # RS2530BSH. Freezer broke down about 2 weeks ago. It cant keep temperature low enough. I called Samsung 1-800 but they cant do anything. They recommend contacting one of Samsung stores for fix. I dont know if I still trust Samsung anymore. I spend too much for a nice looking refrigerator and it lasts for 4 years.
I bought Samsung model SFR528DSIS in Sep 2010. It started giving problems after two years. Water and ice started collecting in and under the crisper trays. It was repaired by Samsung as the fridge was under the manufacturer warranty and their own technician told that this issue is common with this model. The next year the same problem came again but luckily I had bought an extended warranty and so it was repaired. But unfortunately, it did not last long and the problem occurred again. I contacted Samsung but I was told off so ruthlessly that I will never dare to contact them and feel insulted. I spent $2,000 with the expectation to keep this fridge for long but now I expect to spend big money on repairs if I wanted to keep it.
We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes and initially were very satisfied with the features. Within a few weeks, however, the icemaker stopped dispensing ice. Tried all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, still no ice. I then removed the front of the icemaker (no small feat, see comments further on). The side of the icemaker was completely packed up with a large glob of ice. I defrosted this with a hairdryer and the icemaker again worked. Two weeks later, same problem, and get out the hairdryer. Every two weeks the icemaker packs up and has to be defrosted. We were in Lowes for a different matter but stopped by the appliance department and engaged the person who sold us the refrigerator on the issue with our Samsung. He said this was a common complaint with Samsungs in general and that Samsung had been working on a solution for a while. Seems the icemaking unit is poorly insulated from the refrigerator section in which its located, so humidity seeps in and causes the icemaker to freeze up. To date, according to the salesman, Samsung has yet to come up with a solution (another issue - if Lowes knew this to be the case, why did they not advise potential purchasers of this problem?). In addition to the freezing up issue, the front of the icemaker unit is almost impossible to remove, even using the removal method stated in the manual. The icemaker issue makes this refrigerator next to worthless, and since to my knowledge Samsung has yet to correct the problem, its a question of poor engineering foisted on an unsuspecting public. This refrigerator is a poorly designed piece of junk and so best avoided. Based on my experience with this product, I would never even consider buying another Samsung refrigerator.
I bought a French door refrigerator in October 2009 and have nothing but problems with it. Had ice unit replaced twice and it was never fixed. Told by service technician that Samsung paid that there was a design flaw in Samsung refrigerators and it will never work right. Tried to get unit replaced and Samsung would not respond and delayed fixing until out of warranty. It has never worked correctly. Now I have water/ice under deli drawer and told this is another known problem and a fix has been finally figured out. Out of warranty, so this would be my expense. From what I have read on the internet, I can spend hundreds on repair service and problem will never be fixed. Most people who post suggest dumping the unit and replace it with anything but Samsung. Hate to do this as unit was expensive, but have no other choice. Does anyone know if there is class action lawsuit on these refrigerators?
We installed model # ME179KFETSR/AA in our remodeled kitchen in November of 2013. In February of 2014, 3 months later, the Microwave went bonkers (as noted in other complaints) and the control had to be replaced. It was under warranty, so there was no charge, just inconvenience. The repairman told me I should run the fan when cooking ANYTHING on my stove, even warming up canned vegetables. I took his advice and used the fan even though it is very loud. Unfortunately, this did not prevent the need for ANOTHER service call for the same problem in April of 2014. The problem has reoccurred for the third time and the microwave is now out of warranty. Even though the micro is less than a year and a half old, Samsung is only willing to give me the part at no charge, which will probably only cost them $30.00. Wow, what exceptional service. They MUST know the micro has a design flaw. The repair has not yet been performed, so Im not sure how much this is going to cost me, besides my loyalty to Samsung.
Never have any ice! Ice maker very slow! Difficult removing vegetable and fruit drawers to clean underneath. Nice to the eye but freezer on bottom and lacking storage space. Does not get cold enough to prevent deli meats from spoiling within 3-4 days!
New technology wonder wall dishwasher error code F3 Failure and will not start back up. Immediately contacted HH Gregg where we purchase unit and extended warranty but they would not engage as they said under Samsung warranty and to call them, although only a week old. No one has answered Samsung Customer Service so still trying to reach them...
I cannot even begin to tell you about the awful experience Ive had. Ice maker stopped working on my french door fridge. Spent hours on hold and speaking with their cs line. Samsung sent 2 replacements that were damaged! So, I had to start all over with this company. I have yet to have a resolution. Do NOT buy a Samsung product! By far the worst customer experience ever!
The refrigerator was delivered in Dec. 2012. We have had parts replaced and a new door on the freezer side put on (side by side refrigerator) for the same issue. The ice maker freezes and jambs up and will not make cubes or while on cube setting you get crushed ice or no ice at all. Samsung states they only have one service call on record which was Jan. 2013 - I think they make up stories. They must have a record of the service companies who replaced parts at no charge to us. The company does not stand by its products. There is a recall I am told on this ice maker issue, but the representatives do not know about that I assume since it was not mentioned to me. The service man that came today told me about it. Oh another service man is coming Monday with a part. I feel Samsung thinks we all just fell off a turnip truck.
The doors to my Samsung refrigerator are supposed to be stainless steel, but they are rusting. I have cleaned the stainless using mild soap, hot water to clear gunk, then wipe and apply a high quality stainless polish. I started seeing the rust a couple of months ago and have been cleaning them up. Although I am cleaning them, the rust is now starting to pit. This refrigerator is only 15 months old! I bought through Sears including the warranty, but they are saying rust is not covered as it is a cosmetic item. I called Samsung and they immediately said there was nothing they would do as this is a cosmetic item. If this were steel or if I had been scrubbing the front with steel wool, etc., I could understand their stance, but this has been well cared for. By the way, did I say this was our second refrigerator in one year?! The first one died within a month, three days before Thanksgiving! Sears says theyd send a tech in two weeks! The local Sears store sent a new fridge out the next day, but we lost $400 worth of food and although we bought the extra protection for spoiled food from Sears, they would not cover the food as a tech did not look at the refrigerator first! So, next with our new refrigerator, we have had two icemakers and still have lots of problems with it! I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone! Neither Sears nor Samsung would do anything for me regarding this issue. So my $1200, 13-month-old investment from Sears is now rusting in my climate-controlled home! I do not recommend either Sears or Samsung as they have lied about the material this refrigerator is made from.
We had our Samsung range for 7 years. Overall we had been fairly happy with it. Until a few nights ago when it lit on fire. It was an electrical fire in the back of the oven. Thankfully we caught this early and there was minimal damage to my home. Samsung would not stand behind this device at all. I would recommend avoiding Samsung for ranges/ovens in the future. From reviewing this thread and others, seems like this has happened to other people as well.
I have a French 4 - Door Samsung Stainless steel refrigerator that has a beverage drawer and two temperature control drawers. The only drawback I have and thought I checked prior to purchasing is the water - ice dispenser takes up a lot of door space. Otherwise love it!
Shocking experience with Samsung fridge. Fridge delivered yesterday after two days of waiting. Turns out it is not cooling. Samsung is telling me I have to wait another 3 days to get a technician check it. I dont want to ** get it checked!!!??? I want a replacement!!! I cant talk to a manager. People answering the phone barely speak English. Worst customer service ever! Stay away from Samsung fridge if you want peace of mind!
Within four months of purchase, the freezer and ice maker failed. Samsung repair worked on it twice without success. Neither Samsung or Lowes were willing to attempt to solve the problems. I have read of numerous people with the same issues on their Samsung refrigerators. There is a class action suit under way concerning these units. I will never buy another Samsung product after being treated in this manner.
Last night we heated a piece of pizza in our SMH9187 Over the Stove Microwave (about 25 seconds). The microwave got extremely hot and wires started smoldering. The control panel went completely dead and the internal sides were very hot (as well as the glass rotating plate in the microwave). We had to unplug the unit. Fortunately, there was no fire, but the microwave is dead. The unit is three years old. I cant believe that this happened to a relatively new microwave. Samsung should place a recall on all these models and reimburse people for their purchases. What an inferior product!
This refrigerator broke down 2 days after the warranty expired. They wanted a hundred dollars just to look at it before any repairs even started. I ran into an unsolvable trying to fix it myself. The connector to the evaporator fan shorted out. Half of that connector is built into the back wall of the refrigerator section. I got a new fan as the wire was clearly burnt off. I plugged the fan in and nothing, the refrigerator still did not work. I took it apart again and this time noticed that the tiny pin in the connector mounted in the refrigerator back wall was also burned off. I couldnt find that part anywhere. So I had to call for a service tech and pay the $100.00 call fee. The tech came out, inspected it, and deemed it unrepairable. So I now have a $4000.00 piece of trash. This is clearly Samsungs fault. It is a very poor design. If you search the internet you will see hundreds of complaints about icing and water build up in this section of the refrigerator. Samsung refuses to do anything about it or compensate me in any way. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR! They do not stand behind their products or care about their customers, or have a good designed product!
6 weeks old and while I was cooking dinner tonight, oven stopped working and stove top stopped working. Burners and oven do not work. 6 weeks old. Called Home Depot and they told me I had to either return it or call Samsung. I have been down that road with our Samsung washer that they could never fix. Never buy Samsung appliances EVER.
Called Samsung because refrigerator wasnt cooling, repairman said it couldnt be fixed. Had extended warranty. Been without for over 1 month now and Samsung has been giving me the run around. Still waiting for their callback that they said would be in 2 days. I need something done NOW. This is the second time I have had to call the to repair my fridge. The icemaker had a defect the first year, now this. My fridge is only 2 years old. Hope someone can help me out here.
I am very disappointed with my Samsung SMH9207ST over the range microwave. This microwave was purchased along with a Samsung Range, and Refrigerator as we upgraded all of our appliances to stainless. We have not been happy with any appliances especially the Microwave and Range. The microwave has had many problems and now is displaying an error SE and wont work. We have tried to shut it off at the circuit breaker to correct the error. But, that didnt correct the problem. Samsung does NOT stand behind the problem. It seems that these products are designed to only last to the end of the warranty. Nothing beyond. Luckily our dishwasher was not a Samsung and we love it. Bottom line - dont buy Samsung if unless you want disposable appliances. I have never encounter the multiple problems that we have with these.
I purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator in 2010. Within six months, the freezer sensor had to be replaced. Fortunately, I purchased a warranty from Sears. If you would like to spend $2,800 on a refrigerator and six months later, spend an additional $500 for a sensor, then purchase a Samsung refrigerator.
I have read all of these current complaints and issues with Samsung Refrigerators, I feel bad for all of these consumers. There is something you can do to get somewhat reimbursed. I can say I purchased the 3 year warranty and was glad. After 15 months the Refrigerator froze and stopped the cooling fan. Took 11 days to get parts to have it repaired. Then after the first repair a second incident occurred when the freezing happened under the meat department drawer a week after it was fixed. Had to have a tech come out a second time. Finally they sent me a refund for the purchase price of the refrigerator. That was Asurion did, they were the warranty plan from the Home Depot. If you have a food loss issue you are eligible for up to $300 refund for each occurrence. This did happen twice. It froze and wasted my wifes Insulin 2 times. I was not reimbursed the full amount but I received 2 checks for $300 a piece after filling out the one page application for Food Loss and Medication reimbursement and sending in the repair receipt. Also I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against the Home Depot and Home Depot came through and sent me a $500 gift card for the difference for the loss of the medication and the cost of me buying another refrigerator while I was waiting on this one to be repaired.I also filed a complaint with the BBB against Samsung and twice someone from the Office of the President from Samsung called me and said there was nothing that could be done. So whatever, they need a national recall on their products especially the black stainless refrigerators. So with a little perseverance you can get some remedy out of this bad situation. The Better Business Bureau complaint against the Home Depot really helped and the Home Depot Asurion extended warranty plan really helped also. Complaining to Samsung was useless but now the Complaint is in there and the more in there hopefully will help someone else not make this bad decision of a Samsung Refrigerator.
Water accumulates in veggie & fruit drawers which has to be poured out daily several times. Water also accumulates under the drawer. If not taken care of daily, Im sure it would eventually get out of the refrigerator and onto the floor. I had it repaired last October 2015 at a cost of $400. Two small parts were replaced which I looked up and only cost together under $20. The repair took less than 15 minutes once the food was removed. Now it s doing the exact same thing, months later and the company says it cannot do anything about it.
In March of 2015 my wife and I bought a Samsung 22.5 cu. ft French Door Refrigerator and the Samsung Protection Plus Plan. This refrigerators initial cost was $2,498.40 and the Protection Plus Plan cost was approximately $700. Beginning in late June 2017 the ice maker began to develop problems making ice cubes and finally just made watered slushy ice. I called the Samsung phone number listed on the Protection Plus contract 1-800-726-7864 and explained the problem. First problem was I could barely understand the staff person I was speaking to. Secondly I further explained I had the extended protection plan and needed service. I was given a repair ticket number and told I would be contacted within 48 hours. I received a call from a service company that Samsung contacted and was told there was a charge to come out and then additionally a charge for the repair. I was told their company did not accept the Samsung Protection Plan and to call Samsung back. It should be noted in my area there are VERY few repair companies that accept the Samsung Protection Plus Plan or even want to service their refrigerators. I was told by a repairman parts are very difficult to get. Subsequently I once again called Samsung and once again explained I need my refrigerator serviced under the Protection Plan. I will not go into detail of how many times I had to call Samsung which took a month to finally get the refrigerator supposedly repaired in late July 2017. However, even after the service repair the ice maker still does not function properly. It is now early August 2017 and I once again called Samsung and explained to their staff the ice maker still is not working properly. I once again was given a repair ticket number and once again was contacted by the same company that wanted to charge for a service call. I did some research and found the phone number to Samsung Protection Plus Tech Support. I called that number and explained the problem and am still awaiting a call from the company that performed the last service repair. In conclusion, I would NEVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE having experienced firsthand the quality of their product. Additionally, their Samsung Protection Plus Plan is a serious JOKE and is a total waste of money. I plan on submitting for a refund of the money we paid for the protection plan which is possible per information within the contract.
Smart auto and Heavy code on DW80F600UTS. I purchased this dishwasher in late 2013 because it was on sale. It was a year later when the Smart Auto and Heavy lights started blinking. I didnt purchase the extended warranty which was a mistake. The dishwasher became something for looks for awhile until I had time to fix it. Once I started fixing it recently, I found many posts on all the possible fixes. I replaced the case break and it still does not work. I see others say to replace the ECS and main boards. I must have pulled out the dishwasher a half a dozen times already trying to fix it. What a waste of time and money. Never buy a Samsung. I think I will also trade my Galaxy S5 for an iPhone just out of principle.
I purchased the Samsung dual convection steam wall oven in March of 2018, after about a week I noticed that it started to reset itself, just turn off and on. After I noticed this several times I scheduled service to have it repaired. Sad to say that after 8 visits to my house and just about every part replaced they still didn't fix it. March of 2019 my 1 year warranty expired and the problem continued. I finally contacted Samsung directly using the chat feature on Saturday August 3rd. I received a phone call the following Monday asking a questions about the oven and she told me I would be receiving a refund.. She emailed me a claim form, I followed the instructions and sent in the required photos and 2 weeks later they sent me a check for $3236.00... They said if I would have contacted them prior to the warranty expiring they would have given me a full refund of $3699.00. Either way I'm happy and I think this is great customer service.
I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated. I have spent 7k on these appliances and theyre starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.
Go on YouTube and you will find a multitude of complaints about the ice maker of this model. Samsung gave us a run around on leveling the refrigerator. I have leveled it from every conceivable spot, adjusted the front so the wheels are off the ground per their instructions and I now have to manually defrost the ice maker every 7-10 days. It used to be every 3 weeks but has deteriorated. I defrosted it November 1st 2019 and had to defrost it again today November 10th 2019. From the number of complaints there should be a general recall of this poorly designed and engineered product.
A month ago, 4 year old 50 TV control board went out. Samsung would do nothing. Now two year old microwave keeps turning off prematurely. Quality is questionable and customer service non-existent.
In February 2011, I renewed a contract for one (1) year for a refrigerator for $139.00. I have called many times, but as of today, April 4, I have not received a copy, only to be told by Samsung that it will be in the mail to me. Samsung did not have a problem cashing the funds, but they cannot send me a copy of the contract. Please respond.
They sell defective products and dont stand behind their products or customers. My 89 year old mother has model rf217acrs and she loses hundreds of dollars worth of food not to mention puts her life at risk with spoiled refrigerator food. The fridge air chamber freezes solid then does not maintain temp in fridge. Weve tried Samsung but they say, too bad, out of warranty... Just two years old! I would give it zero stars but this form wont let me.
3 years ago I bought a Samsung refrigerator. It was the worst investment I ever made. I wanted to buy something that would last me a while. I ended up spending almost $3000 and ended up with junk. The refrigerator worked okay for the first year after that it stopped working at least 6 times. I am so disgusted with Samsung. If I had the resources I would ship it back to their headquarters. Under no circumstance should Samsung be able to get away with manufacturing such a faulty product and not be responsible for the way it performs. The fan went out 4 times already and it is not even 3 years old.
I bought the RF263beasr/aa. Junk, junk and junk. Problem is plain and simple and should never occurred on a new Fridge. Icing problem on the back at the point that you can hear the fans hitting and scraping the ice. And the Ice maker also develops ICE. Read instructions and forums and I leveled the fridge. I made sure that the gaskets of the doors are fully closed and the gasket of the ice maker fully closes and seals the ice maker when door is closed. Fridge is 3 years old and it still has the same problems. I have to get the ice maker every month and use my hair dryer to deice the ice maker. I also once a week I force a defrost cycle plus turn the fridge off for 4 hours to let the coils defrost. My old previous fridge was a GE 15 years old. Nothing wrong with my old fridge (NOTHING, no ice maker problems nor icing problems). I made the big mistake of remodeled the kitchen and bought new appliances. I bought Frigidaire stove, Microwave and dishwasher. My wife insisted on the SAMSUNG Fridge because of the looks and I pampered her... BIG MISTAKE!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN!!!! SUPPORT SUCKS. Customer service SUCKS!!! One thing I love though: I am an IT Manager and I get to say and approve what Technology to buy in my office with 800 users and guess what!!!! I turn down everything Samsung!!! From printers, PCs, laptops, faxes, TVs, monitors, etc, etc ,etc!!! Nothing Samsung ever again... And any other agency that I do business with I spread the word!!!
We purchased a Samsung Gas range in 2014. The stove cooks perfectly and we are overall very pleased with it. However whenever we do a self clean following the manual instructions to a ‘T’, the bottom ignitor fails afterwards and I can no longer bake or roast. This has happened three times and we have had to replace the bottom igniter 3 times. Fortunately we have a gas technician friend who can replace the igniter for us. It’s costs us $80 a pop but would have cost $300 each time if we’d paid for a Samsung technician. I have sent an email with product serial number, etc. and photo of burnt out igniter and had an instant reply from customer service asking for more information. The strange thing is, when I try and reply to the email or try to send another email to Samsung, the emails are immediately blocked. I ended up doing an online chat with a service technician who informed me I had to pay a $5 refundable charge with all my credit card information in order to receive a reply (answering questions they had asked me for!!!). Total run around and obviously a deliberate action by Samsung in order to avoid dealing with a known fault with this particular gas range. One disgusted Customer.
I have been using my Samsung DMS 600TIX dishwasher for 2 years (naturally just out of warranty). It looks beautiful and is stainless steel which gives the impression that it is a quality product. Far from it!! The springs on the doors need replacing on both sides (one snapped with a very loud bang when I opened the door). The catch which keeps the door shut is also broken. Very disappointed and will never buy Samsung again! I spoke to Tafelberg who sold it to me as well as Samsung and neither are the slightest bit interested.
I made a terrible mistake and bought a Samsung refrigerator from Costco. Error beeping right off the bat for an open door that wasnt open. Adjusted the doors and checked that the reed sensors were aligned, but same message. Called Samsung technical support who had no answers, but they would dispatch a technician late the following week. Meanwhile about $500 in food spoiled on our counter and their customer care team did zero to help. Please save yourself the anguish of having a day thats supposed to be exciting after dropping 2k on an appliance turn into a nightmare. These people can barely do cell phones right, why did I think they could manufacture a fridge properly.
I bought my 3 door Samsung Refrigerator in 2015 and it worked fine for 2 years. After that, Ive had nothing but problems. First, it wasnt cooling my food and I lost all of my food and had to pay a $200 repair bill. Then, 2 months later, that same thing happened! Luckily, they honored the initial repair warranty and the tech came out and fixed it again. Fast forward to 5 months later and now the refrigerator is freezing all of my food. Because the fridge is out of warranty, I will have to pay for a tech to come out and will be charged parts and labor to fix the problem. I have now lost 3 full refrigerator loads of food and am left to resolve the issue on my own. I have a 20 year-old Kenmore fridge in my garage that works perfectly and my $2000 Kenmore fridge is a POS. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!
In less than 1 year the so called black stainless finish is peeling off both oven doors of our SAMSUNG ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN NE59J850 where the handles attach. Samsung calls it a cosmetic issue and will not address repair. The finish is tissue thin and simply comes off with a sponge. Last Samsung product in this house as we are also having trouble with two Samsung TVs.
I purchased this oven in Sept 2016. The self cleaning settings are for 3-5 hours. When I ran it on 3 hours previously, it did not clean the oven so this time I ran it on the 5 hours. About 3 1/2 hours into the process my husband and I noticed a very strong burning smell he thought smelled electrical or insulation. The ovens electronic control panel quit and the lock remains locked. I researching troubleshooting we found this is a complaint and the repair shop said it is a common issue that they repair frequently. We have not found out the costs to repair nor do we know the condition of the inside of the oven. This oven should be recalled as we have had sore throats since. We have found the costs to repair can be between $200 and $1100.
Samsung is horrible! I purchased a Samsung Bottom Mount Freezer in April of 2010 from Sears. I was told that it was rated five stars by Consumer Reports. Best fridge out there for my price range, according to the sales guy. In August of 2011, my freezer section was heating up. To make a long story short, Samsung told me to deal with it since it has a one year warranty and they dont know how long their appliances last. I called every repair man in my area but no one will work on Samsung because they are so hard to deal with and get parts for.I ended up with Sears Home Appliance Repair. They are the only ones willing to work on this product. Three weeks later and $500.00 worth of meat spoiled, I get the guy to my house only to find out that my condenser and compressor are broken and heating up. Did I mention that I was also getting water in the fridge part under the cold cut drawer, which apparently was caused by a clogged drain line? Really. How does all this happen to a brand new fridge? It takes two weeks to get my parts only to find out that they were already broken when I received them.Another two weeks later, my fridge parts come in. Get this. The freezer section caught on fire as soon as the parts were put in by their certified technician. He soldered through my firewall and burnt out the whole bottom of my freezer. I am told that Samsung and/or Sears will replace the unit for free and that the fridge section is okay to use since the repairman took out all the bad parts. Two days later, the fridge caught on fire again. Luckily, I was home to throw it out my front door at 8 oclock on a Sunday night. My house smells like smoke, all my food is destroyed, and the service woman on the phone had the ** to tell me that I should be grateful that I was offered $500.00 in a voucher to Sears towards a new appliance since their service man did not want to do the job anyway. It took me six days of nonstop phone calls to customer service to get my money back--a full refund. If I did not take three hours a day out of my life to hound every person, I would still be waiting for those people to review my case. All I expect is a product that works longer than one year, is that so bad? And if, for some reason, beyond my control, that appliance stops working, is it wrong to ask for a fair treatment and a full refund to replace it? I had to work hard to get these Customer Service people to treat me like I was a customer. My advice is do not give up. Make them see that they cant keep doing this and get away with it.I am done with any Samsung appliance and I am done with shopping at Sears. They are unfair, rude and thieves. I am happy to get my money back so I can go buy a Frigidaire. They cost a little more but they work. I was fooled by the fancy lights and options. Now, I am going back to simple clean and reliable. Dont buy Samsung. If I wasnt home, what would have happened to my house when the fridge caught on fire? Buyers, beware! They dont care about you; they care about your money!
I bought a $1,300 Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Conns. I had it 6 months, it quit making ice and sounds like an airplane is about to take off! I have had the ice maker and the entire back of the ice maker replaced 3 times in 2 years. My warranty ran out, now Im stuck with this $1,300 piece of crap. Conns told me to call Samsung, well thats a laugh. They tell me to call Conns because when they shipped it out, it was perfect. Conns says they arent to blame. Well I guess Im to blame for buying this beautiful refrigerator that on the inside is a piece of crap. Now Im stuck with a 2-year old refrigerator that doesnt make ice and sound like an airplane in my kitchen. Thanks Samsung for your crappy service.
I hate my refrigerator. It leaks water into vegetable drawers and freezes into sheets of ice an inch thick. Sorry I did not read reviews and see that this is a common problem with no support from the company. Next time I will read reviews. Anyone reading this PLEASE consider another company.
We bought a new set of Samsung for the house (wash/dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). No issues with them except for the dishwasher. The DMT800 is the most expensive Samsung dishwasher, and seems to have a lot of issues in my research. After only three days old, we got Error Code 5E (or SE): blocked line. Then we reset the breakers, unplugged it...made sure no vent line was pinched... Then it worked for three days, before we got Error Code PE.We called Pacific Sales (the retail store), and they will NOT return a dishwasher... NO return policy (after only a week since purchase). They scheduled a repairman in two weeks, and told us to call Samsung to try to get an earlier appointment.Spent a total of 2.5 hours going back and forth with Samsung and Pacific Sales, as you are required by Samsung to perform various steps to resolve the issue (like resetting circuit breaker, unplugging it for 20 minutes, running it empty, running it in sanitize mode...).We were told by the retailer, Pacific Sales, that Samsung repairs are behind schedule (maybe because of their bad dishwashers) and that the earliest appointment is in two weeks! They said to call Samsung directly to try to get them to come out earlier. After over three hours of calls...we are to wait another two days to see when the Earlier Possible appointment may be. The dishwasher went down five days ago, and now we may go two weeks (washing by hand like we did as kids... oh fun!).TIP: Not sure what the cost is for the Extended Warranty, but saw many websites with reviews that it may be worth getting, as you will have guaranteed issues over the first 1.5 years.TIP: Also, does installing yourself void the warranty? They charge $95 for installs... After the first repairman comes, we will only let the repair guys touch it to maintain the warranty.TIP: A common problem is with the racks breaking (top one specifically), so call Samsung immediately if it happens, as you may need to do it a few times before warranty is up.
I purchased several Samsung kitchen appliances from Lowes in July of 2011. They are very attractive to look at. However, not quite two years after purchase I noticed the back wall of the refrigerator was icing up. I checked to make sure the items in the refrigerator were spaced well and not blocking the vents where it was icing up. After a number of attempts to stop this action, I called Lowes. I was told that since I had not purchased the extended warranty, I was out of luck. They did send an appliance repairman out who looked in the refrigerator and called Samsung Tech Support. I was told the advice given by Samsung was that I should unplug the refrigerator and leave it thaw out completely, then plug it back in and it should be fine. I wasnt happy about this solution and called Lowes who told me that I was encouraged to purchase the extended warranty when I purchased the appliance (evidently they knew something about Samsung appliances that I didnt). I was told that unless I followed the instructions from Samsung there was nothing they (Lowes) could do to help. I did as I was told, thereby losing $$$ worth of food I had purchased for expected guests. When I plugged the refrigerator back in, it worked...for two days. Started frosting up again. I called Samsung. They sent out a repairman, 10 days later. He looked at it, said he had to order parts. He would call when they came in. Its now approximately 3 weeks after discovering the problem. I waited another week to hear from the repairman, finally called and was told part just came in. Repairman came out 3 days later to fix the problem. He installed the part. Refrigerator worked for 2 days. Now would not cool below 66 degrees. I called Samsung. Repairman could not come out for 3 days. He was heavily scheduled. Ill bet he was...all with defective refrigerators. Finally he came out and said there was another part on the thermostat that was defective. He had seen it the first time but it appeared fine. $325.00 repair bill and over $300.00 worth of spoiled food, restaurant bills with guests, and finally the refrigerator works. The whole issue left me with 6 weeks of no refrigeration. Samsung said they would reimburse me for up to $200 worth of food. Ive submitted the necessary papers and documents 3 times...still no reimbursement. DONT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! YOU WILL SURELY REGRET IT!!!
We bought the Samsung refrigerator in 2011 and have nothing but problems. First the ice maker went after a month. Then it started making a loud grinding noise. Now it wont make ice, it will stop cooling, water dispenser does not work, and the control panel is flashing and cutting off and on. Model rs261mdpn. Biggest piece of crap.
I bought this Samsung refrigerator RF217ACPN from Lowes in August of 2011. In July 2013, the display panel failed and made it impossible to turn off the unit or change any settings. I called my repair technician who ordered a replacement display. After being backordered for two months, the item finally came in and he replaced the item on the refrigerator. The replacement failed to fix the problem. I have tried contacting Samsung support and their website is horrible, their chat service abominable and when I did finally get to chat, I was told I would hear from Samsung in two business days. Nothing after 10 days. I cannot find any repair service that will work on this brand. Lowes should not carry Samsung as the product is so bad. Wasted my money. Never again.
Our Samsung side by side refrigerator quit working and I contacted Samsung on 7/06/16. The appliance was still under warranty. However it is 7/27/16 and I am still without a fridge. First they looked for someone to fix it but no one was available in our area. So an exchange was approved but it must take forever. I have called them multiple times. All I get are apologies. Their service is the worst I have ever dealt with. Dont buy Samsung. This is the most expensive mistake I have made. Worst company ever!!!
As everyone on this site has the same problems with Samsung refrigerator. I bought it January 2016 and less than 3 months had to have the computer board replaced. It did not make a difference. The whole bottom of the refrigerator freezes and has to be defrosted if you want to open it and it will stop making ice. There is a light that comes on to tell me to change the water filter, but it does not have one. For the last month it puts water under the draws and freezes. It is out of warranty now. It still is not paid for. After reading all the reviews I realize I need a new refrigerator, while still having to pay off this one. The store HH Gregg is no longer in business. The microwave does not work properly, just plain junk. I do not know why this company is allowed to sell products in the U.S. They are just stealing our money and getting away with it. How could they not be compelled to have a recall on these refrigerators. Keep me informed of any action with this company, please.
We bought our Samsung dishwasher two years ago and have had problems ever since. The dishwasher stops working and error lights start to flash. We have had it fixed a couple of times and it keep doing the same thing. This product is a piece of junk and not worth the money at all. I would honestly give it -5 stars if that was allowed. Do not buy this product. You would be wasting your money.
The cooling fans broke. Its making squealing noise all day. The ice maker circuit boards went out twice. The doors get so hot that you get burned by touch. Two other circuit boards went out. I have all the documentation of every service call we have had. This product should be recalled. This refrigerator has its own pissed off website just for this model.
I bought the Samsung RF267AEBP Refrigerator about 3 years ago and we constantly have water filling the space below the drawers freezing up and creating a mess. The ice maker clogs and then unleashes ice when the door is open all over the floor. We are disappointed in the quality of this product. We will not buy another Samsung.
I bought all Samsung appl. when we built but Im having second thoughts... the refrigerator (side by side with water ice on outside) is not all worth the $$. The size gets cramped inside without a lot of shelving room and the outside ice dispenser always clogs and you stand there for minutes until the big globs of crushed ice falls out because if you dont get it out when you open the fridge door it all falls on the floor. We use the full cube but when clogged it crushes inside. The lower freezer is great... very roomy and stores more than avg. I would explore other brands.
Looks Nice - Acts Nice - Have not had any issues in the year I have owned (Samsung) (2500). There are some confusing things regarding how many options the shelfs can be configured. Also, Controls are Digital, to be honest they work great but I have never touched them. Hope it is the last fridge I ever buy. That was my criteria for choosing this one.
Samsung RF267AERS - We have the same problem countless others have had: water/ice pooling under and behind the deli and fresh food bins, as a result of the drain tube freezing up and not allowing proper drainage to the pan somewhere below. Samsung is staffed by a bunch of ignorant, talking heads who will tell you theyve never heard of this problem. If youre out of warranty (our unit is in the 3-4 year range), they will offer you something called Rescue Repair for $400 (at least, thats what they quoted us). This would be a great class action suit for a law firm because there are so many people who would love to join. Im very disappointed with customer service in America and these obvious issues of quality control/manufacturing defect should not be ignored by the manufacturer. Samsung will no longer be a consideration for future appliance purchases.
Whenever I grill, broil, bake, meat or fowl on opening the oven door a huge cloud of smoke and fat hits me in the face stinging both my eyes and face. If anyone else has this problem please let me know as dealer (trail) and Samsung tell me nothing is wrong.
Called customer service and reported what I felt would be a manufacturing defect. When I went to steam clean the oven this week I noticed on the floor, of the oven, fan-like cracks in the enamel. The enamel was cracked and the metal below was showing in 3 areas. I asked if anyone else had reported this. After the CS rep investigated she returned and said no other complaints and it would not be anything they would address as the stove was 2 yrs old. That was all. I really feel it is a manufacture defect and should be replaced. Hopefully not a ongoing problem. I did see this issue on another review so why was the answer no, it has never happened before.
I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in 2009 at Sears. It keeps leaking water under the cool pantry drawer and freezes. I have already paid once to have this fixed. I was told a drainage hose gets clogged up and overflows under the drawer; defective design issue. Once again it is doing the same thing. The repair man recommended only to buy Whirlpool made in America; he said Samsung is pure defective junk!
The dishes are extremely fantastic, their prices are very affordable to anyone who desires to use them and long-lasting. They dont easily break and I can assure that you will completely love using them. I highly recommend them.
We bought a Samsung dishwasher in September 2013. It broke after 5 months. We are currently without a dishwasher after 2 repairs and third repairman declaring as unrepairable. Samsung customer service continuing to give us runaround.
Model # RF26J7500SR, French Door with external water/ice maker. This was delivered 2.5 years ago. The ice maker continually jams... Ive had at least 5 Samsung repair guys out and they try to fix it, but in a few weeks its back to being jammed and dripping. Im now fighting with Home Depots warranty company to get it replaced or fully refunded!!! A royal pain in the derriere!
Bought a Samsung Refrigerator in Feb 2015. In May of 2016 the Fridge part stopped cooling and I lost everything in the top. Called Repair as the Fridge is not under warranty. The service man made 5 trips out and 2 parts and now it is Sept 7 2016 and it is making a noise so long had to unplug it. It was frozen up again in the fridge part and was not cooling up to 62 degrees even though there is ice frozen to coils. Service could not even get panel off until it thawed for 24 hours or more. I still do not have a refrigerator working. The freezer still works fine like others have said. I am getting the run around and given a ticket number and no service guy will come out (they said they can not get answers from tech support) and there is no wiring diagram as other appliances have. Do your research. Do not buy Samsung!
I have a Samsung Side By Side Refrigerator that broke but was under warranty for the sealed system. It broke in 4 years but this Samsung warranty is useless. They will not stand by and honor this warranty. They sent a repairman to my house who misdiagnosed the problem and replaced a part that didnt need replacing which I had to pay for out of pocket. He then told me since the fridge is not working that there is a problem with the sealed system which is under warranty and I wont have to pay anything for parts or labor. He then said that his company is not certified to repair sealed systems so Ill have to find a sealed system company.I notified Samsung and they sent the same repairman to my house which shows you how much of a joke this company is. I called Samsung again to tell them that their technician is not qualified for sealed systems. They then sent a different company to my house. The repairman from the second company told me that they are not qualified to do sealed system work. Finally they send a third guy to my house from a company that does fix sealed systems but he claims that my warranty does not cover labor only parts. It is clear from my paperwork and owners manual that the warranty covers both parts and labor for 5 years on the sealed system so Im not sure how he can claim that.I called Samsung and they tell me they will create a new work order which will cover parts and labor. However, when it comes time for my appointment they of course schedule it with the original company who claims not to be qualified for sealed system repairs. This is by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced with any product or company in my life. Avoid this company if you care at all about the value of customer service. Ive given up on this repair and Im buying a new GE Fridge. Im tired of the countless hours on the phone with Samsung and the multiple visits by repairmen that claim not to be certified.
Got fed up with having to take the back panel off the freezer to de-ice the fan and eventually all the coils. It got to the point where we were having to do this every couple months with a fridge that was less than 5 years old. Had issues with a TV, that ended up getting replaced by the store - NOT Samsung. Now getting an --SE-- error on the over the range microwave (manufactured Feb 2010). Unfortunately the house we bought exactly 1 year ago has all Samsung appliances that were manufactured in 2010. Of course our home warranty just expired - wondering how long before well have to replace every single appliance in the kitchen. Guessing in will likely be in the next year. Their products are cheaply made and not made to last. Silly me, thinking appliances should last more than 5 years... Will NEVER buy another Samsung! EVER!!
Purchase Date 3/17/16. The Ice Maker (RF23HC) started freezing over about 1 year after we purchased. We started using a blow dryer to melt the huge chunks of ice. Now the entire back panel of the refrigerator freezes over and water pools in the bins. Clearly Samsung has known about this issue for years but still continues to sell the faulty refrigerators. There should be a recall on the refrigerator and full replacements supplied.
Samsung RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator - July 2014 we noticed that our freezer was not working. No ice and the food was thawing out. I called Samsung because we had purchase the unit in 2009 but I have always at least gotten 10 years out of a refrigerator. The customer service representative agreed with me but said the only thing she could do for me was to sell me a 1-year extended warranty. That was her solution so that I could get someone out to check it and repair it. So I bought the warranty. In the meantime I lost a whole freezer full of food. I called the service company and they said the soonest I could get someone to come look at it would be September. So I said I have to go without a freezer for 2 months? Well we had no choice and keep a cooler full of ice out on our patio so we could get through the rest of the summer without ice and a freezer. The first repair man arrived in September. He ordered some parts and we were told to call them as soon as the parts arrived and they would send out another repair person to install and repair the freezer. So the parts came in a few weeks, we called the repair service company and had a repair person arrive in another 2 weeks. So it is now October, no freezer and the regular refrigerator part of the unit is acting up. The second repair man shows up but the parts that arrived were not correct. He was able to bypass something so we could keep food cold. But he also ordered other parts and checked the other side of the unit. It also needs parts. So 2 more weeks wait for more parts. It is now December 2014 and the parts arrive, we call in for the third repair person. He arrives, re-checked everything and said that none of the new parts ordered would fix the problem so he ordered more parts. Those parts arrive in January 2015. Still no freezer and our other refrigerator side of this unit is getting worse. We called again for another repair person. The fourth repair person came out and said they did not need the parts that they found a leak in the line. He repaired it. It worked for a few months and then started all over again. A fifth repair person came out but not until April. He checked everything and they had to recharge the unit again. So it worked until June - this is 2015. So we have gone 1 year with it working for a month or maybe two then we start all over again.Anyway they said that in June they could not get back until the first of September. The sixth service person charged it again and it was good until yesterday. Now I have to call again and have them come out again. This has been a 2-year process of an on and off refrigeration unit. Samsung should have given me credit and I should have been able to buy another unit. Instead I am having to basically have someone come to my home every other month to work on this unit. We are totally frustrated and would love to ship this to Samsung so they they can use it as a paperweight because that is about all it can do consistently.
Love the stove, it fits the bill for everything! I want to do. If I have any complaint at all it would be that when you cook in the upper oven you have to take care you do not burn the product. The water boiling feature is great! Oven heats up very fast as well as being able see what the temperature is as it is getting to the programmed temperature. The surface of the range does need to be cleaned after each use or it shows!
I purchased a Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. electric range from Sears outlet (certified). After 90 days, the range wouldnt turn on, all functions stopped. The computer board is defective. Samsung didnt honor the warranty as it was out of the box. Sears, even though has a warranty for a year on all products purchased in their store, required that we buy additional warranty contract. With that, they ordered the part from overseas, and we have been waiting for 7 weeks with no range. Samsung does not provide parts to their range. For the range to fail within 90 days is a major defect. Sears outlet dont honor their warranty.
