I do not typically do product reviews but after seeing a rash of Samsung refrigerator ads on TV I felt compelled to respond. We needed a new refrigerator after our 15 year old GE started having problems. We found a nice looking french door style Samsung with a middle drawer for refrigerated items, freezer drawer at the bottom, water and ice dispenser, all the whistles and bells - in fact more whistles and bells than we had ever seen before. We have four Samsung TVs that all work great so we decided to give Samsung refrigerators a try - VERY BAD DECISION. The ice/water dispenser stopped working and none of our local repair people knew how to repair Samsung refrigeration products. Entering the model and serial number into the Samsung website in order to locate a Samsung repair person proved very difficult - not user friendly. We finally got the ice maker repaired but ice cubes still get stuck coming out of the dispenser and we have to completely empty the freezer about every four month and chip out the ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer, otherwise it gets increasingly difficult to open and shut the freezer door. About every two months the handle literally comes loose from the freezer drawer and I have to find the correct size Allen wrench to reattach the handle. Finally, the bottom of the middle plastic drawer for refrigerated items cracked. I dont think we every loaded it with anything unduly heavy - it just appears to be very thin plastic and it cracked. My next refrigerator will not be a Samsung.

January 3, 2015 I purchased a scratch and dent Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker in the freezer unit. It came with a 1yr. warranty from Samsung and I purchased a 5yr. warranty from Lowes. It was delivered and installed by Lowes on January 6, 2015. It started to produce ice and it produced half a gallon bag of ice and then quit. We went through the manual which gave us no direction. I turned off the ice maker so that it would not burn up. I called Samsung January 9, 2015. They walked me through the troubleshooting and told me that because the ice maker was turned off, I had to wait 48 hrs. for service. They called me back on January 12, 2015 and again a different associate walked me through the same trouble shooting process but added a twist, which was the rollers where touching the floor and therefore Lowes had to come back out and give the refrigerator a 2 inch tilt. That seems ridiculous however we jumped through the hoops. I went on live chat with Samsung January 15,2015 and again that associate was going through the same trouble shooting process. Really, does anyone do service anymore? I let him know that it is unacceptable to have a refrigerator only one week old. With full warranty and not be able to get it serviced. Very unhappy with Samsung and will never buy another appliance from them.

I cant imagine anyone that actually uses a dishwasher designing this one! The racks are awful. The top one will not hold wine glasses or any with a stem without falling over. The bottom wont hold more than 2 bowls, without giving up space for plates. And no way can I put pans in the bottom. They just wont fit. All of those have to be on the top with all of the glasses and cups. No room for both! I have had a bunch of dishwashers, starting in the 60s. Never have I had one that is so poorly designed. From the complaints I have read I guess Im lucky it still works! I am so disappointed but I guess Im stuck with it. To be fair we did buy our second Samsung French door fridge and love it. Got to be two different designers!

The 3rd guy came out for $90.00 to tell us the ice maker design is poorly designed and cheap. Samsung knows this. The new better designed one is $600.00!!! Samsung French Door Model RF4287HARS/XAA - In April 2013, we bought our $3,000 Samsung fridge. On June 29th, 2013, I called to report a problem that we couldnt activate the electronic circuit board. We couldnt switch from cubed to crushed ice. On 18 Jul 13 the complete fridge failed. Today is 25 Jul 13 and its still not fixed. Thats after over 5 calls to Samsung and the same to the local retailer. We were traveling so all the food was lost and what amazes me is the cavalier response from Samsung always apologizing and promising to have someone else to call but having no one to fix it. This is the worst customer support Ive ever experienced by a long shot.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model # RF28HMEDBSR/AA on 4/11/17. Worked great for 14 months and then ice maker stopped working. Of course warranty was out for 2 months when this happened. Had ice maker completely replaced, then 8 months after replacement it stopped working again! This time only the auger motor had to be replaced as no ice would come thru the chute...repairman replaced and till no ice. He had to return this week and had to replace the auger motor again as the one installed last week was broken! This is a total of 4 auger motors on this refrigerator in less than 2 years. For the cost of this appliance we feel this is totally unacceptable. Will never purchase a Samsung refrigerator again!

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

He said the problem was a short in the electrical wiring and he does not fix that.I went back to Samsung. They agreed to pay for any parts and sent me to another supposedly authorized repair person. That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. The Samsung microwave SMH8165ST was purchased approximately 2 years ago from Lowes. First the light kept coming on and off by itself for a day or two. We unplugged overnight, same thing. Then the SE code came on. We looked online and there were many, many complaints about the SE code and at the same age of microwave as ours. Some people suggested taking off the touch board, replugging everything and putting it back. For some it worked. We simply plugged and unplugged the wires inside, replaced. Now the microwave is completely dead. Customer service just gave me a number to buy a new keypad. No more Samsung for us.

Bought a Samsung Sodastream French door Refrigerator. I bought it June 2014. Dealing with Samsung is a nightmare. They have a call center in Honduras. They have a executive complaint department that is useless and rude. My ice maker had problems. It is in the fridge not freezer. Two service companies came out and said I would have to turn off fridge for two days. This happened April 2015. Still not fixed. It does not make cubes only crushed ice. The ice bucket is frozen and cant get open. It makes a horrible noise when you try to get ice. I have spent almost 100 hours on phone with Samsung. Some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. This problem occurred in month 10 of purchase. Now Samsung told me one year warranty up, cant fix. Im going to court over this. $3500 for this. I live in Ma and we have a consumer protection here. We can give a 30 day demand letter then go to court. Dont buy Samsung. Service is nonexistent and reps are rude and not very smart. Never again. Im done bunch of morons for customer support.

My review is the ** customer service I have received from Samsung. I purchase a refrigerator from Lowes and had it only about three months when the ice maker messed up. I filed a claim with Samsung and they were supposed to send the part to fix it. It has now been four months and I have gotten no part. And when I call, I get the run-around. I have emailed and get the run-around also. I regret buying it because its poor customer service and poor business. I will make complaints to as many places as possible. I had even bought the 5-year extended warranty, but I cant even get it taken care of under the first year so I dont know how thats all going to work. I will not buy another Samsung product. I just wish I would have known all this before I bought the fridge, washer and dryer from them.

I purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowes September of 2016. A couple weeks later the ice machine stopped giving ice. I called Samsung and first they told me to reset the ice machine and wait 24 hours. I did that and that didnt work. So I called back and they told me that my 1 year warranty was over and I would have to pay them for service. I DONT KNOW HOW A 1 YEAR WARRANTY CAN EXPIRE IN TWO MONTHS. It is December of 2016 that I am typing this review and I barely purchased my refrigerator in September of 2016. Either Samsung doesnt know how to count or the employees are high on drugs. This is so wrong. So I had to send my receipt to EFAX@sea.samsung.com and wait 24 to 48 hours. Well after a week of waiting I called back and they said that they never received my email. They are just trying to kill time for the warranty to really expire. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG!!!

If you are considering buying Samsung Products - Save your money! We bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer in 2012 and already had to have repairs on the washer ($279 for latch on the door). The dryer is ruining our clothes because the lint trap is defective and sticks up and catches and twists the clothes until they break. Our Dishwasher that we purchased in 2014, sometimes takes 6 cycles to clean. The soap dispenser does not open or the cycle stops and all the lights start flashing. The other day the dishwasher ran for almost 6 hours while we were shopping and was making a horrible noise. I called Lowes, where we purchased and they were no help. I called Samsung and was told I needed to buy a new lint trap, and they could not help with the dryer. As for the dishwasher, I have a transaction number of ** and was told someone would call me within 24 hours to discuss what our next step was. It has been three days and no one has called. We also have a Samsung stove/oven and microwave - crossing fingers those last longer than the other appliances. Bad product and bad customer service!!!

We bought Samsung fridge on 11 June 2016 (Model No. RT39K5538S9) from BAJAJ ELECTRONICS. Within a week started formation of ice inside the fridge. We kept quiet and it started leaking water in 1st month. We raised compliant (No. **). Customer care people instead of coming to site and rectifying they instructed to do switch off the fridge let the ice melts. We did and one week it is fine. Again started forming ice. Again we raised compliant (No. **). Service engineer came this time and said PCB and Sensor needs to be replaced. Why Samsung is selling damaged products to customers? Without a proper check they are supplying products to the showrooms which is causing problems to consumers. We bought that fridge with 44,000 and suffering a lot. Instead of replacing the product if it is having problem they are repairing the fridge as it is 5 or 10 year old fridge. Disgusting. We informed all our apartment, colleagues and friends, approx. 75 people, not to buy Samsung products and they will not buy for sure.

We purchased a self cleaning, Samsung stove April 11, 2018 from Trail Appliances in Red Deer, Ab. I have used the self cleaning mode 3 times, & 3 times the C-31 displays after using it & the display panel will not work. The 1st time, I was without an oven for 15 days, the 2nd time, 9 days & am waiting again, for it to be fixed. I was told by 2 people at Trail Appliances, & Brian, from Samsung, to just not use the self cleaning feature. In my opinion, that is like buying a new car, & them telling you to not use the headlights! The salesman certainly did not warn us that all of the brand names who have the self cleaning feature, had issues. Their solution was, that whenever I use the self clean mode, to pull the oven away from the wall 6 & turn the fan on full blast for the duration of the cycle! Even the repairman said that they are a problem. Samsung said they will just keep fixing it until my warranty runs out because there is no problem, & he was very rude to me as he kept raising his voice & was yelling at me. Brian ** from Samsung. My warranty runs out in April, & I am SOL, so dont buy from Samsung!

We purchased our Samsung fridge a little over a year ago and about 6 months into having it I lifted the little tray where the water and ice are located and found that it had rusted! The rust has continually grown out onto the fridge door causing the paint to chip off and leave sharp metal for my children to injure themselves. I have contacted Samsung and because this is a Cosmetic defect they will not do anything to fix it. It is beyond frustrating that you pay a large amount of money for something and it is not up to the standards that it is advertised. Purchased 1.5hp split inverter aircon from Emcor Davao City May 5 2018. Unit worked fine for about 5-6 months then started short cycling. Mystic Electronics Service Center Davao was contacted by customer service to be assumed warranty repair provider. Person came out said Lindsey too short so had to pay P6000 To have that fixed. Unit continued to short cycle. Came out again said outdoor motherboard AND compressor overload were both bad...then outdoor blower motor was bad. They replaced all of those items. I have years of AC experience and told the KID that is not the problem. He leaves unit still short cycling so I finally called Manila again and told them MY diagnosis. After further discussion between themselves they agreed to send same KID out to replace the indoor thermistor. The KID damaged my casings on inside unit. Now unit is acting up again with about 3 weeks remaining on warranty. I told them they need to send someone else out as I had banned Mystic from coming inside the property again since he has really no idea what he is doing and no respect for someone elses property....I.e. We purchased this unit from Lowes and were not happy with the way it cleaned right off the bat. There were water spots on the glasses, food still on the plates. After 6 months of use, the top basket rack adjuster broke. They did send us new ones which lasted another 6 months. We asked for another set and they said it was just out of warranty but they would send them out once more at no charge. Six months later, they broke again! Now, I was getting angry and they say it was a design flaw and we can send you out another set. Six months later they started breaking again! This is an awful product. This past Christmas, an error code came up for leak detected. It ended up being the drain hoses cracking and leaking. Now, my basement floor is destroyed from a 2-year-old dishwasher! After we fixed the drain hoses which was 2 months ago, we have a new code 9E - low water flow. This is caused by the basket adjuster pieces that were broken off and stuck in the hoses. I feel that I should be refunded or receive a new dishwasher. This should have been recalled by now. Im not a happy Samsung customer!

I wrote a review earlier this month and I had my 1 ½ yr old Samsung RF217 French Door replaced with the SAME MODEL to give Samsung a chance to redeem themselves. I received the new fridge on September 12, 2013. The installation process was horrible and I will address that with the retail company in person. Anyhow, instead of the Fridge portion being too warm like the RF217 part 1, now RF217 part 2 is an overactive FREEZER. Please note I DO NOT use the ice maker, I have that feature turned off, But for some reason I have snow cones being made in my freezer and I cannot open the top drawer as it is FROZEN SHUT. The installers set it up per manufacturer direction temperatures -2 freezer and 38 for the Fridge. Consumer ignorance?? I think not. Samsung Corp. you make a horrific product and I will be pleading with the store that I bought it from to give me back my money in full so I can go back to my normal life. I cannot and will not eat out for another week, month or year because my $1500 refrigerator does not work properly. And just so we are clear, ALL THREE OF MY SAMSUNG Refrigerators were BRAND NEW. ALL THREE WERE FAULTY. I hope this is clear enough that three times is not a charm. In addition to the bad manufacturing, the delivery service managed to deliver a scratched left front French door, left all the packaging inside, dumped about a gallon of water onto my Laminate Floor which I had to personally dive to the ground with bathroom towels because the water would absolutely ruin the floor and they SCRATCHED the side and front of my BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE, and then denied the damage. I was literally standing right there during the entire install. Hello I was the one cleaning up the water so of course they scratched it. My towel sure didnt. Anyhow, bad product, bad service, and subpar customer service equals the end of customer loyalty to Samsung. Samsung get out of the appliance business.

Dont ever buy a Samsung fridge. We have had our French door refrigerator for about a year. It is a 2015 make and model. The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. Come to find out this happens a lot with Samsung. We had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it with a hairdryer. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. These refrigerator/appliances were advertised as black stainless steel and they are simply Black Shrink Wrapped. Have had my fridge for 3 years and am embarrassed when company comes over. Recently purchased a high end dishwasher and had to chose a different brand. I do love the black, but unless Samsung chooses to find a paint, replace the door or find another way to make this fridge look as advertised, I can no longer recommend Samsung black stainless products. Samsung has made no attempt at a resolve. Why advertise black stainless when it is a film that is applied and peels off in creases, near handles, folds and edges. I have several areas of peeling that began a year after purchase. Requested a paint from the company and was told there was none available nor would a paint be available. Probably because shrink wrap is not paint.

Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

Bought the French door with freezer at the bottom. Ill keep this short and to the point. Replaced the top ice maker 6 times and replaced lower ice maker 2 times. Top ice maker stopped working 2 times within a couple of weeks of being replaced. Thank God for buying extended warranty. Called Samsung twice directly and they brushed me off and seemed not to care about issues they have with their ice makers. Referred me back to warranty company. Not sure what we will do when warranty expires. Do not buy this refrigerator. You will be disappointed and if you do make the poor decision to buy Samsung refrigerator buy extended warranty.

My kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover so I decided to purchase all new products from Sears and selected Samsung. I so wish that I would have checked with Consumer Affairs first before purchasing (3) Samsung products in 2013 - all of which have had issues. I purchased a double door black refrigerator, a black microwave as well as a black gas range. My refrigerator from day one has had issues with the ice maker not making ice and the refrigerator temperature not working properly. The worst product of all was the microwave oven that caught fire while I granddaughter was cooking a hotdog on a paper plate. The plate caught on fire. There were sparks and flames literally shooting from the microwave. I didnt purchase the extended warranty on the microwave because my experience with good microwaves is that they simply stop working after about 6-7 years. They dont catch on fire! I paid $329 for the microwave and Samsung wanted to charge me $325 for the repairs and continue to give me the run around. The matter is still not resolved. So if you are reading this review... save yourself the trouble. Please do not purchase any Samsung product!

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator June, 2015. Within 6 weeks, water started leaking from under the freezer. I called Samsung customer service who attempted to give me some how-to information. This did not work. For over 1 year Ive tried to rectify the problem via Samsung until they finally said, sucks to be you!, your appliance is out of warranty. I pushed the issue and was told to submit receipts, which are on thermo paper and no longer readable. It has been determined to be un-repairable because there is no Samsung service repair in my area. Likely a simple adjustment needs to be done, but Samsung will not authorize repair. They tell me that I will have to send in the paperwork, all labels from appliance, the cord (plus a video of me cutting said cord), and they will review the file and send me a check... OK... let me trust that process.

When repair guy came out I asked him why does Samsung have so many bad reviews? He said the side by side are notorious of having problems. Bought a Samsung Washer. Nothing but problems with it. The service tech has been out 4 times and still have not fix the problem. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AT ALL. Do your homework. By the way the fridge was 1,900.00. Not cheap.

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

I have struggled with error code with this dishwasher shortly after purchasing it. I owned it for exactly 1 year, 1 month. 1 year warranty was not supported at all. Why do people submit reviews after owning a dishwasher for only 2 months is beyond me. Of course its going to run great! After 1 year they will be singing a different song. Its so quiet now BECAUSE ITS BROKEN!!! I have a 0 decibel DW now, the dishwasher is completely dead. I paid $700 for this dishwasher. I repaired the inlet valve sensor, case assy, and main relay board. I finally gave up after coming across some fine dishwasher from WP on Black Friday. I have a Samsung fridge and its acting up too. I shouldve gotten an extended warranty on both, but it seems, Im reading, that Samsung wont support the products with extended warranties.

My husband and I needed a new refrigerator, after our Kenmore finally bit the dust. We opted to try a different brand, Just because, I guess we wanted a change. We went to the big-box appliance store, hoping to find something fabulous! The salesman was pleasant enough, and he seemed to be knowledgeable about all of the brands they carried. We really seemed impressed with the Samsung. It was super bright, as it was really well lit on the inside. He touted the greatness of the Cooling Door feature, telling us it would keep our milk, OJ, etc nice and cold, and offer easy access so we wouldnt have to open the whole door to get our most-used items. Its never an easy task figuring out how an empty refrigerator will work when you load it up at home.It wasnt a good thing, when the repairmen had to order a new door the day it got delivered, as it was non-functioning for the water/ice. It also was damaged, so I should have known we were in for it! Ive had the repair techs out 4 more times in 2 years. The thermostat will not keep a steady temp. It either freezes everything, or it gets dangerously warm! We lost an entire refrigerator/freezers worth of food to excessive warmth. I spoke with Samsung directly, and the rep told me to take all of the spoiled food out of the garbage, photograph it and send the photos to them! WHAT??!! It was right in the middle of the summer! No way were we going trash-picking! I purchased 2 thermometers specifically for refrigerators/freezers to monitor the temp. Never consistent... The ice dispenser leaks water down the front of the fridge, so I have to keep a washcloth on the cup holder shelf. The front of the refrigerator is stained from the water on the stainless steel all the time. The inside has a crack right where you open the door. The freezer is horrible to utilize. The top drawer doesnt pull all the way out, so you cannot reach things easily. Because of the ice maker/dispenser, the inside shelves of the door hardly hold anything! Im betting I am forgetting even more of the items that have been plaguing us since this unit was delivered. One repair tech even told me I should consider putting it out in the driveway for a garage sale, hoping someone would unload it from me! Please dont consider Samsung! They make great electronics, but appliances? NO WAY! I have a stove from Samsung that I shall also submit a review for as well.

Samsung refuse to accept responsibility after telling me it was covered by the warranty, but later retracted. They have offered £50 as a gesture of goodwill, which I have rejected. In general our machine is absolutely perfect. There are a few little idiosyncrasies, like the center cap on top of the lower drum axle, that's made out of plastic. It looks like chrome, but it's plastic. And it breaks at least once a year, and you have to buy one off of eBay or Amazon. The only other complaint is the whole mess around Samsung switching out the labels on the dial because of the betting balance issue. Kind of a pain in the ** really but it was a one-time deal. Bought Samsung side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, and range. Ice maker overfills and drops the cubes frozen into one slab. Causes sugar to jam and busts ice bin. Replaced 3 times while still under warranty. Requested Samsung send a tech to fix problem but was told they could not do that, best they could do was mail an ice bin. Fan started making noise that got louder & louder. Eventually realized ice was building up behind the wall. I was still denied service. Have to manually defrost every few months! Now out of warranty and bin busted again. Not paying $160 for a bin that will just bust. Have a plastic box to catch the ice and dont use the dispenser. Dishwasher is also a piece of junk! NewSamsung Dishwasher Model DW80F600UTS lots of different issues. From Day 1 hasnt worked properly. Steam vent under front of door wasnt shutting off, so water would leak out the front. HEAVY light started blinking, and pump wouldnt turn off, power wouldnt turn off, either. Had to turn off at breaker. Dried out the flood pan and sensor, and saw moisture on the water intake hose coupling, so tightened that. That helped for a week, then it went off again. Seems to be leaking out of tub, not hose. Luckily, still under warranty so service is coming in a few days.SERVICE: Parts take 10 days!! So the repair guy comes, figures out what is wrong, then has to order the part and come again. It can be 2 weeks before you can use your new dishwasher again! When I talk to the service company (that is not Samsung, but certified to do their repairs), they make it sound like they know exactly what the problem is before they come out - leading me to believe they had a lot of this problem!! Never will buy a Samsung appliance again! Wish I had come here first to read the complaints.

We acquired our refrigerator Model #RF4287HARS in late 2010. The representatives sold my wife and I on durability and long lasting performance. Since the purchase we have had less than adequate technicians out to work on the refrigerator. The freezer just stopped working, the ice maker stayed messed up and very aggravating to press buttons to change ice cube size. It just quit working. The freezer was never repaired after parts were ordered and placed on. Over $600.00 in costs to us. The refrigerator has been a total piece of junk at a purchase price of $2310.00. We bought parts and paid repairs, and the technicians did not get the right parts, then when correct parts came in they said it would be useless to put on because the freezer was not worth repairs. We were reimbursed $195.82! Ha.After all the stress and aggravation, needless to say the ruined food we stored in freezer - a great loss. We were so sickened by the fact that we thought we made the best choice in buying a Samsung appliance, but this has proven to be a very expensive and stressful experience. And we bought a dishwasher at the same time, but replaced it in 2 years for $650.00. It did not clean and didnt last. Just thought we made a mistake and bought a cheap one. The one we bought in late 2012 is working like a charm, but it is not a Samsung product.

February 24, 2016 - Purchased Samsung Microwave OTR Oven ME18H704SF. March 9, 2016 (Approx) Hung on wall and attached Microwave to newly install Kitchen Cabinet. March 15, 2016 - We were using the microwave for the 3rd time when it malfunctioned. The Internal electrical magnetron mechanism behind display overheated and cut a hole on the right side of the cooking box and started a fire. At the time this happened my wife was cooking a package of microwaveable veggies on the turntable. Cooking instructions were to microwave for 5 minutes on High. When there was about 1 minute left in the cycle my wife noticed a small fire on the inside of the unit. She opened the door and put out the fire. I opened the cabinet above the microwave and unplugged the unit from the wall.March 15, 2016 - Sent email to Samsung through their website with my info, Microwave info and the information above and below: We can no longer trust this unit in our home. Please send appropriate individual to pick up unit. Please send check for purchase price of unit in the amount of $263.74 to the following address. (Home). The Unit can also be picked up at the same address.March 18, 2016 4:50 PM. We received voicemail from Samsung-Canada notifying me that a serviceman will be out to fix Microwave on March 23, 2016. March 18, 2016 6:30 PM. I called Samsung-Canada and told them again that we do not want a service call. They should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. [Transferred to 2nd Customer Service individual, Carlton] I told him again that we do not want a service call. Samsung should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. He said he noted that in my report and someone will call me on the weekend or Monday 3/21/2016. March 20, 2016 12:00 PM. Received call from Samsung-Canada [Andre] from Executive Customer Relations Department I told him again that this unit is a Out-of-Box failure. We do not want it repaired. We will no longer have a microwave in our house. Pick up unit and refund purchased price. Andre said a serviceman needs to evaluate unit and determine that if it is repairable or defective. I told him, It started a fire, its defective. March 22, 2016 - Samsung sent a Technician from Local Appliance Service to evaluated. He said it was the magnetron and the unit should be junked. Unit was taken to shop for complete review & evaluation. April 4, 2016 - Called Local Appliance Service to request status on Microwave. Lady said she believed it was finished and that she would call me back. Received call back and set up delivery for Wednesday April 6, 2016. (Samsung decided to repair unit).April 4, 2016 - Received call from Samsung-Los Angeles 310-669-4261, she asked about a schedule change to Saturday. I told her that Local Appliance Service called me with a delivery date and I changed it from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I told her we would not be using the Microwave Oven and I would search out other avenues for getting rid of this defective product. (She did not like what I was telling her and quickly ended the call.) April 6, 2016 - Local Appliance Service delivered Samsung Microwave with new Magnetron, Controller & Capacitor. Magnetron overheated and turned into an out-of-control Laser Gun packing 3,000-5,000 VDC with each Punch. CONCLUSION OF MY ESSAY: My wife and I never want this unit to be installed into any home. Reason being I know that the replacement parts were the same part numbers as the parts in the original unit and have an excellent chance of repeating history.

But of course they are telling me that they dont cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??We also bought the induction range. I call the Samsung rep who tells me that even though a Samsung certified BB geek squad tech had determined it was a compressor, Samsung wanted to send another tech out at my expense to do the same thing. After a number of calls regarding the stupidity of a double diagnosis, Samsung told me I did not have to pay for the 2nd tech. Tech shows up and demands 105 trip charge before looking at fridge. I refuse, he leaves. I call Samsung back a number of times and ultimately the rep agrees that if I can supply him a copy of the Geek Squad work order Samsung will replace compressor at no charge to me. I call BB, get copy of work order and email to Samsung. After several days I follow up with Samsung who is supposed to call me. I am told work order not clear enough [tech in-artfully put thinks its the compressor and it is under review.] After several more calls, Samsung rep arranges conference call with Geek Squad rep who agrees to contact tech and get more definitive statement. 3 days later Geek Squad rep calls back stating its contractor A&E service will not contact tech or let Geek Squad. I call Samsung back and am told different rep will call me. Yet another Samsung rep calls and tells me that Samsung will authorize compressor replacement but only parts. States I will have to pay for labor and freon. It is 12/25/13 as I write this and still no compressor. This is no way to treat customers. I will not buy this brand again!!

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a fridge on the week of Black Friday 2014, the day of the delivery they called me saying it was damaged, and I would get a new one in 3 days, I let 2 weeks pass and I still havent received a new fridge. I went to Home Depot and they called Samsung and said that my delivery address always changed to Arcadia (I live in Palmdale), we fixed the delivery address after Samsung has said I changed it, which I didnt! And they would deliver it the first week of January, a whole month after I initially ordered it. When the day of the delivery came, the fridge was damaged for a SECOND time, and not to mention the unprofessionalism from the 2 delivery associates. They urged us to keep the damaged one, we declined. We had to wait again for another fridge. We called for compensation they promised us 200$ dollars that would take 6 weeks to process. Its been 3 months and I called them today and they said they denied my compensation. SAMSUNG is horrible, I will definitely never recommend Samsung to anybody and I will make sure corporate hears about this!

I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. I have spent too many hours waiting for people to show and diagnose and on hold, making phone call and talking with managers.

Purchased a Samsung fridge RF217ACBP in June 2011 and have the same complaint I am reading over and over. I have had 3 service calls for the same problem, water in the veggie/fruit bins, thick ice under the bins. This time the fan was very noisy and would consistently run. Called Xmas eve and the service guy came out on 12/29, the back panel was completely frozen, had to shut off for 24 hrs, and parts were ordered. When I called on Saturday they were nice, but no help. You need to have 4 repair calls in 1 year to even be considered for a new fridge. I have already told many people not to purchase a Samsung fridge or anything and will never get another one myself. I think they should stick to phones & tablets. Let’s hope what was fixed today will last, but once my master protection plan expires in 2016 (glad I have it) the fridge will be gone. Samsung needs to get their act together and maybe if enough people stop purchasing product they will get the message. NO MORE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES FOR ME!!!!!!

I spent over $3000. For a Samsung refrigerator which has an ice maker that constantly freezes up. I purchased a service agreement with Best Buy who in turn sends out a Sears service technician. This is an ongoing problem with Samsung refrigerator ice makers and they have no clue as to why this is happening. My ice maker still doesn’t work and the service department claims that the part is back ordered. Do yourself a big favor and do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. I am a licensed refrigeration engineer with the City of New York and I have never dealt with a major corporation that doesn’t care about customer care. By the way the refrigerator is only one year old.

I have been trying to get a refrigerator repaired for 2 weeks. The serviceman who initially came to look at it said Samsung is having a lot of problems with it, but is not doing anything about it. I have spoken to customer service at least 20 times. I have spent many hours on hold, and been disconnected at least 4 times. I have also been told they cannot connect me to a manager, because there were none available. They have finally agreed to pay for the repair, but are unable to find the part to fix a 4 year old fridge in less than 4 weeks. I have been told many times my case will be escalated to the next level, but it never is. I have also been told is it approved for a replacement, but no one can ever seem to figure out how to get that commitment into the computer, so nothing ever happens. The customer service people are only able to type the problem into their computer, never to do anything to fix it. If I hear I understand one more time, Im going to kill someone. It is by far the most incompetent, useless customer service department I have ever dealt with. Couple that with an appliance that is of very poor quality, please avoid it at all costs.

Samsung dishwasher model DMT400 stainless steel inside and out. Had for 2 yrs & 3 months. Kept stopping. Code stated it was a water problem. Nace came 4 times, replaced 3 parts. Later stated they could not fix my dishwasher. The dishwasher looks good but it is worthless. I called Lowes, they say sorry you didnt buy the extended warranty. I called Samsung, they said sorry, it is your problem. My book states there is a Samsung 5 yr warranty on the circuit board. How disappointing. I just bought a new refrigerator 3 months ago. We spent big dollars on this fridge and expected quality. We are a couple and have not put a lot of use on this fridge. At exactly 5 years, we started hearing a grinding fan noise in the back of the fridge. It got worse over the next week. Called a 5 star appliance repair company to come and take a look. We found out the problem is the evaporative cooling fan for the fridge. It is going to be a $350.00 repair. The repairman was very knowledgeable about the unit. He told us that Samsung refrigerators keep him employed. He also told us that we were the lucky ones having the refrigerator for 5 years with no other problems. He was a wealth of information, all of it bad for the longevity and costs that we could expect in the future. We decided to repair it and hope for the best. Repairman brought the new part back a week later. Unwrapped the bubble wrap to have a piece of plastic go flying. Part was broken and could not be used. He apologized and said that he would have to reorder and he could not guarantee that it would last even one year. We then decided to rethink our decision. After reading literally thousands of online reviews, we decided to cut our losses and run. Used our Labor Day weekend to seek out and purchase a new Made in America refrigerator. Money we had not intended on spending but glad to be out from under the Samsung brand. We have to wait for our new refrigerator and the fan noise is so loud now after 2 1/2 weeks that we can hardly hear one another to converse in our kitchen/family great room. Our daughter has been having problems with her ice maker on her Samsung from one year on, constant problem and royal pain. No fix in sight for hers either. One would think that Samsung would get a clue and improve their product but NO that is not what is happening. They knowingly continue to sell faulty and substandard products. We will tell everyone we know to walk away before they even consider a Samsung fridge. We wish someone had told us... If I could have given a worse star selection than 1, I would have... Save yourself a lot of grief and money~~DON’T BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

In 2012 the dishwasher would only run on Heavy Duty and most often it has to restarted in order to start the cycle. I bought this French door Samsung refrigerator cause the one that came with the house I bought had died. After looking at both Home Depot, H. H. Gregg, Lowe’s and Best Buy - I settled on this model RF268ABWP at Lowe’s in white. A little background - I went to culinary institute of America at Greystone and have been a professional chef for over 30 years - I know my way around a kitchen and appliances. This Samsung is the worst - there’s just not hardly any storage room in freezer and it continually ices up to the point the drawer/door is open and water/ ice melts on to the kitchen floor. The door at several places has started to rust, underneath the coolselect crisper drawer in the main body of fridge also continually ices up and the drawer starts to be pushed out. Have to thaw ice jam and remove ice sheet and then dry out fridge bottom and freezer drawer bottom. Complete pain in the **. Called Lowe’s customer service and nothing, also called Samsung and nothing no help. After reading and digging around on internet found that it’s a design flaw and company knew about it but refuses to fix. If I could fit on my boat it would be at the bottom of some lake. Complete junk and a waste of over 1400 bucks - my advice to anyone buying a new or used fridge - stay away from Samsung.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. It sounds like a pain in the you-know-what but it works for me and I feel like a winner! :)

Microwave broke under warranty (4 months old). Called Samsung and they dispatched local appliance technicians. Samsungs response is to keep sending replacement parts to try. In some cases Samsung has sent the same part twice. At this point my microwave has been under repair for 6+ weeks and no resolution. I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

Stove #NX58H5600S - Purchased the range In January of 2016. Recently noticed that the oven floor had corrosion spots (rusting) as well as cracks in the enamel of the oven floor. I was quite disappointed since I mostly use the cooktop rather than the oven. It has not had a lot of use. I felt that the oven floor was defective. I contacted Samsung and was told to send pictures, so that the situation could be evaluated. I was then told to contact a service center in another state to have the oven evaluated at my cost. The service manager, after viewing the photos, (did not actually see the rust and cracking) stated that the problem was not a defect but cosmetic and physical damage. Since the stove was out of warranty, I would have to pay for the repair myself. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I would never buy one of their products again or recommend them to anyone.
