After a few years I had to replace the condenser motor and it was not covered. It should not have went so early. You have to keep up with changing the filter and keeping the condensation pipe clean. You must do this on all AC units.

We have had our Trane HVAC for over 15 years and are truly satisfied with it. As for current pricing, I am not up to date. If the quality of the new Trane HVAC's meet up to the quality of what we have currently, the pricing should be worth it!

4 years ago the Trane condenser burned out. The air handler was also replaced with similar units. They too burned out after one week. A third unit was installed and I was told they were units made in China...so now after 3 new units failing they installed a Rheem unit for the air handler and a Trane for the condenser. The condenser just burned out again, and I am told the same thing. Made in China...or Mexico?? Anyhow that is 4 units in 4 years...and my system is clean and all new.

Coil Leaking, HVAC person tells us ALL HVAC UNITS are bad now. I hope the title says it all. I purchased a high-end TRANE for roughly $8000 a little over 4 years ago and while still under warranty the coil has been leaking and I ran out of Freon. To fill the unit up to get through the summer I spent about $700 for the coolant. The "warranty" doesn't cover labor, so even if I order a new coil under warranty, it will cost a fortune to install it, with no guarantee it will perform any better. My HVAC person said there's roughly 350,000 units with bad coils right now. Is there an agency I can call, like an insurance commissioner in our state? I know there's such a thing as a "Lemon Law" with respect to cars. Can there be a class action suit brought against these companies?

In 2007, I bought top of line Carrier air conditioner. Yesterday, I had the semi-annual service done only to find out that the coil is leaking and needs to be replaced. The technician said that these coils are defected and Carrier has redesigned them. Even though they are defected, Carrier will only pay for the part and I have to eat over $500 in labor to install it. This doesn't seem right that I have to pay for Carrier's mistake. All I know is that I am done with Carrier products.

I purchased my home brand new. The very 1st year had problems with HVAC unit all told every year for the past 7 yrs I've owned this home I have had to have repairs done to unit. Why is there no accountability from the company for such poor work.

I built a new house in 2012-2013. 3 separate Daikin commercial grade split units were installed. The house was completed in August of 2013 when I moved in. I noticed, in February of 2014 the unit wasn't heating the rooms on 1 of the unit's zones. I called the installer and spent over $900 to fix it, the company refilled the freon which was empty and left. 6 months later in August, unit's not working again. Long story short second repair company after two three to four visits finally identify the problem with a Daikin tech rep to be the condenser coil in the outdoor unit and evaporator coil in one of the handling units. I've spent now $2500 to identify the problem. Daikin will not cover parts citing 1 year warranty on all but compressor for a unit that didn't even have normal residential wear and tear. Parts are $1500. I am completely dissatisfied with the lack of quality and desire to stand behind the product they manufacture here in the States for Daikin. I will never recommend or purchase another product from this company.

We have a "top of the line" variable speed high efficiency Trane natural gas furnace. It is now 14 years old, but apparently nearing the end of its life. So much for the 20-year life expectancy we were told to expect when we bought it. We had to have the inducer motor assembly replaced twice within the first year of ownership - at least that was covered under warranty. 13 years later, we have had to replace the blower motor assembly in December 2014 for $800, parts and labor. Now, in March 2015, we have to have the inducer motor assembly replaced again at a cost of $900.00, parts and labor. The local HVAC service technician was able to get it running temporarily - bad bearings - while they order the part. It's been a brutally cold winter here in the northeast, so the furnace has gotten a work-out. We will be pricing new furnaces this summer - and we will not be buying a Trane. When the furnace works, we have been happy with the variable speed functionality. But the endurance has been very disappointing, especially since it was such an expensive furnace to begin with.

We bought a BIG 5000 sq. ft. 5 br/6 1/2 bath house in foreclosure to renovate. We put 4 brand new, high-efficiency Trane central a/c units because we'd always heard Trane was the best and that's what we wanted: pay a bit more than the rest upfront, but get the Best so you wouldn't have to worry as much in the long run... Apparently with the new high-efficiency units, it doesn't quite work that way... We had the house 9 yrs: for the 1st 7 yrs, there literally was not any 6-month period that 1 of the units did not require significant repair service; sure the parts were covered, but not the service calls - it cost us a LOT of extra money. There was a BIG lot next door and a brand new house was built while we lived there. The new owner put in all new Trane units. For the 1st year or 2, there was an a/c service company at that house almost constantly: he and I used to text back and forth rolling our eyes and shaking our heads at whose Trane system was the crappiest. All the service technicians concurred that Trane USED to be the hands-down best, but that things had changed at the top and they were now quite mediocre.

In 2010 I purchased a Goodman air conditioner for close to 3,000.00. I go back and forth between residences. In April of this year, I arrived to a very hot condo. I called the company who sold me the unit (C&C Heating and Cooling). They came out twice and told me it was a faulty coil and the freon was freezing up. I am retired and cannot afford to be paying service and parts for something I should not have to do. I had to pay $250.00 for service, part and freon. I called your company and was told to contact you when the service was complete. I have all the invoices. The reason for this email and that I don't think I should have to pay for a unit to be repaired that is less than 5 years old. Hope to hear from you soon, thank you.
