The fridge is new & set at recommended settings. Things in fridge froze. The temperature control indicates cold on BOTH ends instead of colder on one end thus it is not clear how to adjust it up or down!!! Even the Amana chat told me to turn it down but could not indicate which way until completing a long chat!!!!

The Amana is an 18.5 cu.ft refrigerator. Its a year old and works well. I bought it for two reasons: a) a Bottom freezer and the height being less than 65 inches to fit under cupboards. It works well so far. Not noisy to disturb ones concentration. This would be my third fridge in 43 years. Im not hard on them.

When there were manual controls, you could set a machine to do what you want and leave, knowing the wash cycle that you selected, regardless of your reasons, would do what you asked and come back knowing it was done. With the electronic controls, I must fight with the stupid machine to get it to rinse or spin as needed, fill as required, or whatever (wash really dirty gardening clothes well or wash hockey equipment). The automatic settings get it wrong regularly. Very frustrating.

My Amana Range model no. ARTSC8651SS - I purchased the above stainless steel range, matching microwave, and refrigerator. It was under warranty and started beeping with an F-1 code flashing. I called and it was fixed. Then, I bought an extended warranty and it failed again but was fixed again. I did not get (because it was getting too expensive) another extension and now it failed again. When I contacted Amana customer service, Melanie ** said that the range is old and they do not have the panels. What got me angry was that I called a company here in Toledo, Ohio and they have the parts I need. Amana should have recalled that range and admitted that Amana is junk. Now, they sell junk and also lie to cover their lack of good workmanship products. I will never buy Amana products again! How can you get these people to stop ripping off the customers?

This is the worst stove I have ever used. 70-100 degrees off in oven, takes forever to preheat. Top elements wont heat properly, cant boil water unless a lid is on. Do not recommend this product. The first stove I sent back, replacement is no better. Would be ok for someone that does not cook.

In the summer of 2018 we bought an Amana gas dryer. For 2 years it worked great then suddenly no heat. On 11/3/20 I researched the parts we would need to fix this issue. We found, through research, that we would need either a new solenoid or a new thermal fuse and new thermostat. We decided to replace all 3 rather than choose wrongly and have to wait for the correct part.On 11/3 I contacted Amana support via the email provided on their website because their website did not list our particular model of dryer in order to determine part #s. On 11/11 they responded asking for my address, phone number, serial #, date of purchase, etc. On that same day I responded and said, No just give me the parts #s so we can move on with our lives. Finally on 11/21, they responded with a link to parts #s. The problem was we already replaced the dryer. We understand fully that Covid is causing delays everywhere in responses to emails but 18 DAYS??? This was utterly ridiculous. We will not be buying any further Amana products to ensure we will not have to deal with this customer service department again.

Amana dryer, less than 2 years old, doesnt heat anymore. About a $300 repair for a $600 product. Do you remember your parents replacing appliances as often as we have to? I dont. Garbage in and here is your garbage out Amana/Whirlpool. At first when I called, I was told they dont even make the model even after I repeated several times off their own sticker. Then all of a sudden, they do make it once I mentioned that Home Depot may be selling knockoffs of their products. All of a sudden, oh yes, here it is. What a joke. I purchased an Amana Side by Side refrigerator in November 2017 and the freezer quit working after 4 months. Service Technician came out to repair and said that the workmanship involved at the factory was awful and he had to replace coils/condensing unit. Needless to say the next day the refrigerator and the freezer quit working. Another service company came out a week later and said that the first company did very poor work and they were to blame for the new problem. Needless to say they had to take refrigerator to their shop to break it totally down to find out all that is wrong. Called Amana customer service to request a brand new refrigerator only to be told NO! Without a refrigerator for three weeks and counting! Is this acceptable? Ask Amana and they will say yes! NEVER BUY AN AMANA unless this is what you want. Thanks AMANA. I hope your business survives because with this type of service I know my company would not last very long and I do not think yours will either.

Bought a new Amana washer/dryer in November 2018. Used it for 2 months and it quit working. Faulty motor had to be replaced. Very poor quality. We woulddefinitely never purchase another Amana product.

Amana NTW4516FW3: Worst of all, it agitates as it fills!!! WHY??? WHY would it DO this???!!! This tears up your cloths!!! I have to wait till it fills, THEN put in my cloths. Limited control of water: It is supposed to auto sense but it runs in too little for some loads (I can switch it over to deep fill until the correct amount of water runs in) and WASTES MY WATER AND DETERGENT running TOO MUCH water for smaller loads; no way to stop it! Nothing you can do about it!!! :( It only RINSES on COLD! :( So I have to CANCEL the wash cycle before it rinses, and set it back on the wash cycle in order to rinse in warm or hot water!!!! :( Then I have to take out all the wet cloths until it fills or it will tear them up agitating as it fills!!!! :( Then I cancel the cycle AGAIN, and set it to a spin setting after if rinses, as this is the fastest. (The spin it would normally do on the wash cycle is slower and shorter... cloths too wet when done.) TRIED TO CALL AMANA AND ASK WHY THE WASHER AGITATES WITH ONE OR TWO INCHES OF WATER IN IT AS IT FILLS!!!! They were abrupt and could offer no way I could contact or address the engineers who make this washer.

I purchased a brand new washer and dryer set, just over a year the washer quit working. I called Amana and they covered it under warranty, 2 weeks later it quit again doing the exact same thing it was doing before, and now they wont cover it again because Im out of warranty time coverage. I bought an Amana Model AFI2538AES6 side by side refrigerator with bottom freezer. 3 months after purchase, ice formed in the freezer area below and I couldnt get the door open. They sent a repair man and he fixed it (supposedly). I then left for 6 months and upon my return the same problem is occurring. I called Amana and they basically told me tough it is out of warranty. I will never buy an Amana product again!

Read the small print of warranty exclusions. Who would think a rusting stainless steel finish is not covered on a stainless steel appliance? Our $1200+ Amana AFD2535FES 12 refrigerator started showing signs of rust about two years after we purchased it. Research shows that this can be a problem if inferior stainless steel is used. Customer Service said to try to clean with warm soapy water and a t-shirt. If that didnt work we had to call a service agent at our expense. I have other stainless steel appliances (GE) that do not have any rust and they are much older, in the same room and I clean them the same way. It is ironic because I thought GE was a cheaper made product so intentionally purchased an AMANA thinking it was better quality.

About a year ago, I purchased an Amana oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Granted, all three were on the economy end of the model spectrum. I have issues with all three. The oven door on after only 4 months started to bind opening and closing. Also, the plastic trim around the oven handle also is cracked and continues to get worse. I called Amana thinking I could get it repaired within the 1 yr. warranty. I was told that the oven door repair is not covered because it does not affect the functionality of the appliance. Really? I think the door has quite a bit to do with the functionality of an oven. Regarding the microwave, the door, also cracking off the plastic trim around the window part of the door. Thirdly, the dishwasher upper rack keeps falling off the track because end bracket on the left side often comes unsnapped. These design (or should I say misdesigned) elements of Amana products should not be occurring. Especially after only a few months of use. Oh, by the way, after my 1 yr. warranty expired a couple months ago, I received a card offering to extend my warranty. You have to be kidding! I have sold my home and I will not have to be living with these inferior Amana appliances for long. I will never purchase an Amana appliance ever again. I used to think made in America meant something.

My washer is still under warranty and I called a service representative. It was supposed to be dispatched and serviced today. The call was never made and I had to make several phone calls to reschedule. In the meantime Im having to spend an enormous amount of money at the laundromat. Amana is not giving me a refund for this huge inconvenience.

I purchased an Amana washer model NFW7200TW in 02/2010. I had to have a repair technician come out on November of the same year - the water was not draining and the pump was not working. Now, it’s the same issue. Of course, Amana offered to sell me an extended one-year warranty for $300.00 (a little less than 1/2 the cost of the machine) since my warranty was for one year, even though it was the same issue. Ive also read where others have had the same issue. I will not deal with this company again.

Beware the Amana company. I dont like to give bad reviews to companies but the time has come. Our church bought a new side by side Amana refrigerator/freezer in August. It worked until the middle of December and then it started warming up. It was turned up to the coldest settings and still continued to not do its job. Frozen foods are cold but not frozen. January 3rd I called Amana and a technician came out on the 14th. He said, It needs fixed but I dont have to tools to do it.About 10 days later another tech came out and said, It needs a new part but I dont have one with me. The next week he came and replaced the part but it still didnt work. I called Amana again and told them since its still under warranty, we want a new appliance. I was told they dont do that unless a technician comes 2 times and he has to say it doesnt work. We had 3 visits. She said she would send out their top technician because he would know what is going on. Apparently the others didnt. He was supposed to come on Thursday but they called and canceled because they had scheduled the wrong technician. Rescheduled for today, Monday February 25 but cancelled because their truck broke down. We are finding it very inconvenient to have an appliance that hasnt worked for over 2 months, wouldnt you? Now scheduled for Friday. We will see. The only help I got was when I went to the manager of Home Depot about it and he got after them about it but still far from resolved. I imagine that Amana has some good appliances and we got a lemon. The appliances are questionable but the company is terrible to deal with.

Bought a Baking element for my stove. Over a month to receive. Call a service tech to install to find out that I did not need to replace it on my stove. I called Amana customer service to find out how to return the brand new part. I was told to send back in same box with a return authorization that would be emailed to me. I went to the post office and mailed per the instructions given to me but instead of it costing me the same $7.95 that Amana paid to ship to me, I was charged $29.15!!!! My entire refund is only $51.63 so half of my refund is being absorbed in returning because Amana will not provide a return label!!In the end my refund will equal half of the $47.00 price of the part alone???? When I called the parts department customer service they smugly advised, Well you have to return in our box but you could have shopped around for the best shipping rate???? This is a scam and why Amana/Whirlpool is going down in flames! Cheap shots like this to innocent customers who have been loyal to their brand for years. When you ask for a manager the customer service people lie to you and tell you they are the manager and no one else is there but them??? Does not sound like a manager????

I purchased this fridge 9/2010, and the compressor is already shot. I see from other complaints that compressors have been a problem, but Amana Whirlpool has done nothing to help out customers (unless they agreed to the extortion of the extended warranty). I guess Amana Whirlpool is only for people who can afford to buy major appliances every year or pay huge repair bills as soon as the product is out of warranty, or pay for protection (does this remind anyone else of bribing cops to do their job?). My previous fridge was an Amana. my next will not be.Ive lost work time, food, and money. Its odd when the automated recording asks if youve had the product for longer than 12 months, and then asks if you purchased the extended warrant. And you said yes to the first and no to the second, why dont they just disconnect you? Warning. This fridge stopped working after 2.5 years with no warranty after 1 year and thrown out. Before this past weekend, I would have rated this appliance high. We bought this fridge for my mother-in-law who is in her mid 90s. It was the perfect size and worked well without any issues whatsoever....until it just stopped working without notice of any kind suggesting there was a problem. We called for warranty and was directed to Whirlpool for service. Apparently model # ART318FFDW wears numerous different brands including Amana, Maytag, Kenmore, IKEA and more. They advised the appliance only came with a 1-year warranty. So we called an independent service guy to service it only to be told that this is a common problem with this model and it would cost over $700 to repair it (they retail in Canada between $7-800 new), advising it was not worth repairing because there was a risk of it occurring again.He provided a report (see photo for screen shot) and suggested we call the manufacturer back as they will be aware of this problem and there may even be a recall. We did just that and they denied any knowledge of problems with this model and there were no recalls issued. And because we did not buy the additional warranty, there was no recourse. I could appreciate having to pay to fix our fridge, since there was no additional warranty, but I was certainly not expecting a 2.5 year old fridge to be unfixable. That the parts would cost as much as replacing the fridge is unacceptable.To make matters worse, Whirlpool offered us an apology with a loyalty REBATE of 15% if we purchased a replacement of any model within the Whirlpool brands, even off a discounted price. Though we were not going to purchase the same model, we thought this was at least some form of recourse and reluctantly purchased another fridge. When I filed for the claim with the code they emailed me, the code was rejected saying Code was already redeemed. I had just got the code a day earlier as this was an emergency replacement purchase, and the code was not working. I reached out to Whirlpool by replying to their email which was a no response email address. I then sent a message through their contact form and many days later still no response. If I dont receive one by the end of the week Im going through the pain of returning it and replacing it with a different brand.Long story short, I dont recommend this model nor do I recommend the Whirlpool brand because of the poor response to a lemon of a purchase.

My washer has pre-set programmed settings for the water level! My clothes barely get wet and the washer stops adding water and starts washing! I bought the washer approximately 4 years ago! It is almost useless! I have to add water by hand and I wash certain items twice! My washer leaks periodically as well. Had repairman come and he told me I had to tell him where it was leaking from to be FIXED. So we couldnt get it to leak while he was here so it was never fixed and still leaks! He also said there is no way to change the pre-set water levels! Thank God my washer is in the garage or my house would have been flooded dozens of times! Jax, Fl D.

I bought an Amana frontloader (Model #NFW7200TW) 4 years ago at Home Depot. Machine stopped draining and started showing error code (nd = not draining). I called a repairman, and he diagnosed the problem as a bad relay for the pump. He said because the relay was encased in resin on the back of the control panel, I would have to buy a new panel. Later, when he called me to give the part number, he said that the part was on a nationwide backorder and would be $400.00 when it became available on 10/15. I did some checking online and found that the part W10273828 is in fact on back order and no one has one. It seems that this means that this part is a definite weak link, and this model should be recalled. On this site, there are several posts with the same problem.

I cant stress enough how disappointed and upset I am, not only with the brand new refrigerator (model A9RXNMSWS01) breaking after 16 months, but nonsense communication, attitude, and difficulties Amana customer service just displayed! Warning: Do not purchase the top freezer, 2-door, stainless steel Amana refrigerator. The compressor will die soon after 12 months. The contracted repair person mentioned this is not uncommon with this brand. So, after spending $866 on this junk, we had to shell out another $300 in repair costs.Then the repair failed to work! Two Amana compressors defective! No, we did not have the extended warranty but how often does a fridge die? Not after 1.4 years! Amana CS was awful, combative and couldnt communicate a clear sentence. These are lemons!

New Amana fridge in June of 08: The ice-maker broke in November and was fixed under warranty. 6 months later (still in warranty), it stops working, but only occasionally. Stupid me should have gotten it fixed again, but it wasnt that bad. When it broke for good, the flimsy 1-year warranty (really, people?) had just ended, though it was less than a year since the first problem. I called Amana - they refused to help. I decided this was just wrong, and called to complain. After 35 minutes on hold, I got an agent who was so rude I decided to complain about her. The problem was, she refused to even give her name! I submitted this entire story on the web-based customer service portal. Weeks went by and I received no response, except I did get a solicitation in the mail to buy an extended warranty! So, my miserable customer experience is viewed by Amana as a marketing opportunity! I have read many others say the same thing. It’s shocking how American customer service values have eroded. Finally, I got their social media person over Twitter. He looked into it and refused to help. I could tell it was because he has no power to deviate from their script. Amana has it baked into their corporate culture to treat customer misery as an opportunity to make money.

I was looking for a glass cooktop range for a rental unit. This was by far the best value. It arrived perfect, works perfect!

This one was in the house when we bought it and it works great. No need to replace what is working so I am not going to be buying a new one anytime soon. This one is over the oven and it is stainless steel and looks good where it is.

Contacted Whirlpool/Amana regarding my 95 year old mothers washing machine. She purchased in February 2014. She uses the machine once or twice a week. During the rinse cycle, the water pumps in and out at the same time. No agitation. One year warranty on machine, so the company will not replace for free. My brother and I have contacted them repeatedly with no solution.

I bought a washer and dryer in Irwin at Rosendahls. The first time I used it, it would not work on rinse. The motor would just hum. Called where I bought. Said out of his hands to call Amana. I did. They blamed it on water pressure which I thought was bs. Then I filled up with water with bucket. Then it still would not work on rinse. Called them again. They said they replaced some parts. Took 20 min and theyre gone. They never checked at any time when they said it was fixed. They never ran a cycle ever. I said if it works on wash theres something wrong. They just bide time till warranty runs out.Now Im on a fixed income. It took me 2 and a half years to save for the pair. Im just disgusted at the way I was treated and they dont care they got their money. I tried to add the water for rinse. It just drains out but I have always had to add water to wash because the clothes were always dry on the top. My clothes come out with detergent on then after its done because it never ever has rinsed. DO NOT BUY AMANA ESPECIALLY ONE WITH NO WATER SETTING ENERGY EFFICIENT ONES. THEY DO NOT WORK. The brand new stove made noises and no one helped me with a repair visit. After a long time on hold a technician was suggested and the person refused to come look at the range. I had to call the store and spent a lot of time trying to find someone who would help. The store would not replace the range even though it was brand new.

Brand new oven/range had one burner that didnt work. Called for a service call that was supposed to be sent out today and got a call an hour before they were supposed to arrive saying there was an error in the way the zip code was put in and that they dont actually service the area where Im located. Now Im trying to reschedule yet another service call.

We have had 4 service technicians come out in order to decide we need the whole refrigerator replaced. Then it couldnt be shipped out for a whole month. Now it was supposed to be delivered today June 5th 2020 between 1:30-5:30pm. Only to be told that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Couldnt deliver it when they scheduled to because the driver ran out of hours, not blaming the driver. I blame the company for putting too many on the load so it couldnt be delivered on a 3 day ahead scheduled appointment.It absolutely should not take 4 freaking months to get a refrigerator much less during COVID-19 putting my family in more Danger to have to go to the store more for our needs for a family of 6. Not to mention both my husband and daugthers medications have to be kept cold. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A WARRANTY ISSUE. I havent even had this Amana washer one year. It quit working. I guess when you buy a product that is lower priced than the rest you think itll be short lived, but 1 year! Doesnt start, nothing. Piece of crap. It never got the clothes as clean as other machines Ive had. Never again Amana! I bought it a Menards in Minnesota.

Amana microwave brand new lasted 17 months. Cheaper to replace than have it fixed - labor and parts service call. Amana dishwasher brand new had it four years. First issue was the clasp on door. When you close it it broke. Second issue water did not drain out and no power. Fuse need to be replaced plus the mother board needed to be replaced. Labor parts and service call cheaper to replace. Last appliance gas oven. When you turned oven on to preheat it would never reach the desired temp. I would turn oven off and turn it back on and temp. would be what I had set it at. The.problem was the.panel at the top of oven where the clock and temp settings are that needed to be replaced. Same thing with parts, labor and service call. I feel like the quality of the.product was poor. When we bought our home in March 2011 the home had been remodeled and the appliances were new and still had the tape on them. We have had to replace all the appliances and the new appliances are not Amana. Thank you.

Front left burner is not working properly. Only outside rings of coil are heating up. Took forever to boil but never came to a rolling boil. My pasta was a big pile of mush. Worst stove I have ever owned!

We bought our Amana side by side in 1980 when we moved to our new house. I believe it is a 24.5 cubic feet. Durability...it is still working excellently and thats a sign of quality. Thats 30 years and still kicking. We never had any repair on it nor have any problem with the cooling system. The only one that gave up was the drinking water line after 15 years of drinking service to my family. Service that I have done was annually clean and vacuum the accumulated dust at the bottom of the refrigerator including clean the drain pan. Thats it. If I need to replace this old workhorse in my kitchen Ill purchase another Amana refrigerator. I shared our experience with our friends around and some of them bought this brand.

This refrigerator has been really a good one since 1993. The only complaint is that now it is falling apart. The door handle has broken apart as have some of the cabinetry inside.

It is all about the profit and not about a positive reputation. It is my fault for not Googling about Amanas complaints regarding their washers. It would have saved me at least $75 for the diagnostic repair fee.

I just had to replace the controller board in my Amana French Door Refrigerator, which is just 2 1/2 years old. The cost was $300. I had a Kenmore before this that lasted over 20 years. Im extremely unhappy. I would never buy an Amana product again.

Bought a French door freezer on the bottom Amana fridge three years ago. Today, there is a repairman here costing me $300 to repair a faulty computer unit. It wont defrost so it froze the line where the cold air goes from the freezer to the fridge. The freezer is all ice crystals, the fridge is warm. All our food and frozen food is garbage. Weve only had it for three years. Our last GE fridge lasted for 30 years without a repair.

I purchased an electrical oven from Buddys Appliances - something went wrong and they replaced it with the Amana Electric Oven. I had troubles with it the entire time Ive had it, and noticed whenever I put it on self clean it did a horrible burning smell and would smoke out the house - something awful. So after cooking dinner I put it on self clean and it did the usual, I didnt think much of it till I noticed the inside of my oven was in flames. Lucky my son-in-law and his friend pulled it out of the house, I couldnt put it out myself being that it went on to self lock. It was so hot the boys burned themselves pretty bad by trying to get it out of the house. Im waiting to hear back from both companies Amana and the store I purchased it from, this happened on 30 minutes ago, I just thought this could help others.

My Amana ABBB2222FEW refrigerator is five and a half years old. Great refrigerator, till this weekend when the compressor quit - it will cost over $700.00 to repair and I was informed that the repairman couldnt guarantee the board would not conk out so I opt out of fixing it. No help from the company, too bad, so sorry.

I have an Amana glass top range and an Amana microwave.. Both appliances the doors have fallen apart in the first two years that Ive owned them. The microwave was manufactured August of 2012. Just after the one year warranty expired the overhead light burned out. After that weve replaced it 4 times this year. The door is literally cracking apart. The range door glass has been falling out and will hit you in the legs if you close it wrong. I am sure that Amana is aware of the problems. They will not stand behind their product.

So far, we are very pleased with our new furnace, air conditioner and air cleaning system. The installation process went very smoothly and we are impressed with the overall system's operations. We are especially pleased with how quiet it is and have already noticed that our home is less dusty. The air cleaner also did a great job of keeping the smoke our of our home during the nearby fires in the northwest of the United States.

The organization I represent purchased 224 Amana/Goodman PTAC units in 2013, we have had nothing but issue after issue with this product since installation. Blown fuses, wiring issues, incorrect fuse holders, etc... Now there is a product recall on 160 of the units, we submitted the application and Amana sent us the parts to perform the upgrade ourselves. When I called the phone number provided for the recall they tell me to contact Amana in regard to the labor. When I contact Amana they tell me apply online. I would not recommend purchasing any product from this organization.

We purchased a NEW Amana Electric range model #AER6303MFS2 11 MONTHS AGO. Heat escaping from the stove seems to be excessive when cooking. Kitchen gets uncomfortable hot. Had Amana technician check (8/24/2020) and during the heat cycle (with stove set at 350 F) stove registered (with techs instruments) a low of 328F and a high of 382F....a 54 degree swing??? Tech indicated this was normal range. This seems excessive on both ends. Spoke to Home Depot and their appliance salespeople could not confirm or deny this 54 degree range as being normal! Contacted Amana thru survey channel and have not received any response. Looking at replacing stove with another brand that has better heat control.

The washer has a very large capacity and is pretty basic, but does the job. I don't need all the options. It fill based on sensing the size of the load so I don't have to guess. It has basic look, but so far has performed very well. I like that it is American made.

Right after the manufacturer’s warranty of exactly 2 years expired, our Amana Refrigerator broke before the end of the following year. Oh, did I mention we bought it brand new from the showroom floor at Home Depot in Hilo, Hawaii? Now it runs all the time on the freezer side and the refrigerator side does not get cold at all. Ice forms in the rectangle box that is located inside the refrigerator section and no cold air from the “run always” freezer-side comes into the refrigerator. That poor design is how it is supposed to keep your refrigerated food cold. Poor design. What isnt, these days? So here we are, spent $800 for this thing and it has lasted 2 years. Now I have to spend $300 to get it fixed. Meanwhile, until we can just come up with an extra $300 to do that, we have to rent a refrigerator - another $68 a month. Now, isnt this fun? On top of that, it was evidently not working properly for about 2 months until one day I began vomiting from bad food. Not fun either. So what is a consumer to do? We are at the mercy of cheaply made and poorly designed shoddy craftsmanship and materials made by companies that just dont give a you know what anymore. They only want to make more profits out of greed and screw the consumer. They know you need these products so they can literally get away with doing whatever they want. I wonder if any really great person is going to once again build the real McCoy of Wash Machines and Refrigerators that are built to last and do! It can be done, it is just not being done and no one seems to care. Have we become so apathetic to accept this in our lives that we are the sheep they speak of? There are no choices. Oh, you think because something is stainless steel and looks pretty and shiny it is good quality? Stainless steel is only on the outside! Underneath, it still rusts! We live by the ocean in Hawaii where things are not hermetically sealed like on the mainland where houses are all closed up and furnaces run all day and night. And the Stainless steel here still rusts and they tell you right away that rust is not included in any warranty! Oh, let’s see who is Amana made by? Whirlpool I think and I am not surprised.Remember in the old days when all the washers at laundry mats were Whirlpools and they worked? Well, dont buy one these days. For people who say, Well, just buy the warranties they sell when you buy the item.” Yeah, and so you really are spending an additional $300 for the product, which will then last 3 more years from the day you bought it. Who is getting screwed here? - The customer either way. Remember when you bought an appliance and had it the whole time you lived in your house? Remember the Maytag repairman? And did you know your icemaker is not included in your warranty? Nope, you just have to pay for that - an additional $300-$400. Is everyone just going to roll over and accept buying a major appliance for $800 and having it last 2 years?

I purchased an Amana Refrigerator Model; #ASS2222FEQ with Serial#1156842NA on 3/25/2008. On 7/13/2009, second incident of freezer not working in a refrigerator not yet 1-1/2 years old. I called 877-342-1446. Frantic that I was going to lose a freezer of food, I was advised by Kim that a repairman would arrive at 7/15 between 8am-12n. I called 800-628-5782, which was another number I had for Amana and spoke with Jamila. After explaining the problem, Jamila advised me that there was no service call request in the computer, so she initiated and advised that a repairman would be here on Wednesday, 7/15/09. I did tell Jamila that a second freezer failure in less than a year is totally unacceptable.7/15/09, a repairman arrived right around 8am, discovered some problem with paperwork; I called 877-342-1446 and spoke with Mark, who was able to advise me that I had called the manufacturer and the extended warranty numbers advised are separate and do not have shared computer programs. Mark said that he could take care of it, gave me a confirmation number to the repairman and was going to Fax sheets to the local office.On 7/16/2009, the local repair business called me to say that Maytag Dependability Plus was refusing to pay the bill because they authorized another company for the repair and that company called after the first repairman had left. Amana Dependability Plus will not change the work order from A&E Factory Service (who did not come or perform any service) to Convenient Appliance Service, who came and rendered service. Jim, at the 877-3542-1446, would not give me the names of any supervisor nor would he transfer me to anyone else. He said no one there has any more authority than he had. I then called the 800-628-5782 and asked for the name of the president of company. Lisa did not know the name of the Amana president, and said all she could do was to transfer me to Dependability Plus, because I have an extended warranty, endless, repetitive cycle. I advised all parties that I had not realized I was speaking with two different departments, but since the service was Ok’d, I do not understand the big deal to cancel the work order to A&E Factory Service and transfer it to Convenient Appliance Service. Oh no, this can’t possibly be done!Not only do I apparently have a faulty piece of equipment, this is a company dedicated to providing customer frustration. This could have been so easily solved, but agents have dug their heels in, and will be damned if they will help the customer. This is the very last Whirlpool/Amana product I will purchase. Remember, this is the second time the freezer stopped freezing in less than 1-1/2years. Customer service is a joke and we wonder why jobs go overseas? I am stuck with a $97 bill, my freezer problem is still unresolved and I have wasted an entire day. My B/P is soaring. I regret ever purchasing an Amana product and certainly an extended warranty.

My elderly parents purchased a new clothes washer in January and now in May it has flooded their laundry room. Because it is under warranty their plumber said they had to call manufacturer. Amana said it would be 4 days before they could get anyone out and it is still leaking water and my mom uses a walker. Ive called emailed and have been on hold for more than 1/2 hour - no one cares.

Bought this on 5/1/2018, was delivered 5/8/2018. Called service because of how wet things were and dishwasher walls were extremely wet. First repairman said there was nothing wrong. Called the company and they sent a different repairman who found that it needed a new control panel, that the heater was not coming on. That was replaced on 5/24/2018 and I am still having issues with wet dishes and very wet walls when the cycle is done. I have had other dishwashers and none of them were wet when done. I think I got a lemon and have been trying to get the company to give me a replacement, even if I have to spend a bit more money. I am disgusted with the performance of this Amana product and would never recommend it to anyone.Updated on 06/15/2018: So disgusted with my new Amana dishwasher. After calling and having repairmen out 4 times I was told nothing more can be done. The is fact that my dishes and silverware have to hand dried after the cycle is done and the interior of the dishwasher is very wet. The last repairman told me its because of the thin plastic that is used and the heat is not as high is the problem. He said that after it is used for a while the walls will become seasoned. What a bunch of crap. My old dishwasher had a plastic interior and I never had to dry anything. I am so sorry I bought this dishwasher. I will never recommend Amana to anyone. I would like to dump this piece of junk on your doorstep. I have sent other emails on my problem to which I never got a response. Ignore me and I still will not go away.

My less than 2-year-old, Amana, built-in microwave, model amc2206bas has cracking and peeling ceiling paint. I called customer service and was told there is nothing they can do as it is outside the 1-year service. I am very angry that this defective product can be dumped on consumers. I intend to contact my State Attorney General to see if anything can be done.

Refrigerator has unique closed seal feature. When door is closed, vacuum seal is created by small pump. Feature keeps door sealed more tightly, but sometimes difficult to open. Model has only one shelf, two shelves would be more versatile.

Purchased a new refrigerator that didnt work from day one. After visits from two different repairmen, we are now required to transport the fridge to the next town over so that the compressor can be replaced. After several months of dealing with their help line, I feel that it is ludicrous that we are still without a fridge and are required to arrange for this transportation ourselves. This is in a rental unit that we are unable to rent out because of no fridge. We will now be forced to purchase a new fridge because who knows how long this repair will take. I guarantee it will not say Amana or any related product name on it. GE is looking pretty good. As a side point, we have purchased at least 60 appliances from them in the last year and they still arent willing to go to do anything else for us. Cant imagine the average consumer getting any kind of relief from them.

Best bang for your buck? We have had it for 6 months and so far have had no problems and is actually huge inside and fits a lot of dishes. I do recommend the drying agent. It does work wonders. Dishes are dry without water spots.

Washer and dryer were in the house when I purchased the house and they were new. But I have 2 issues with the washer. It does not have a liquid fabric softener dispenser and the bleach dispenser has spotted some of my dark clothing. The washer washes small to extra large loads also delicate. But it appears not to empty fully so I no longer use it. On the other hand, the dryer works well and has many selections for air to time setting to auto dry.

We have a 3-year-old Amana refrigerator that keeps breaking down. It currently is freezing all of my fruits and vegetables. It has done this twice before then overheated.

I purchased Amana fridge (model AFD2535DEQ) on 12-4-2008. Excellent looks, cooling, and energy conservation. Loved the bottom freezer. On December 2011, the fridge’s cooling lost efficiency. The repair tech says top compressor is not working. The cost to repair is half the cost of the fridge. To date the top fridge is keeping at 39 degrees while set on coldest setting. Freezer works fine. For the forty years of my marriage I have purchased and used Maytag and Amana products. Never again! A refrigerator that costs over a thousand dollars and lasts only three years is not a good investment. As a side note, my daughter had the same problem with her Amana at only five years old. She replaced with Kenmore.

Washer machine take a long time to wash. Dont know if it rinses cause its always in wash. Have never had a problem with any other brand but this one has been the first washer that I hate. I want my money back.

Bought Amana more than 18 yrs ago; moved once, never any problem. It is a huge model, bottom freezer. Brand no longer top tier but a better comparison to todays pricy, less dependable choices. Worth checking out.

I have an Amana Radarange microwave (model AMC5101AAW). I am very happy with the overall ease of use. However, I noticed lately that the inside top had a few bubbles forming. The other day when I was wiping it clean almost, the whole white paint on top of the inside peeled off. The bottom and sides are fine. I just dont like the idea of the possibility of flakes of paint coming off in the food - or more of the paint peeling off the sides. What are the possibilities of something else happening with no paint covering the metal? I have young grandchildren and dont want something happening with them because of the paint peeling. I dont know what can be done because of this. I believe I had paid about $150 or $175 for it. I would like an answer about what to do with it. Thank you.

I bought the set at Menards April 2016. The washer is absolutely awful. It never gets the clothes clean, never! It never has enough water in it no matter what setting I have it on no matter how big or small the load. You cant leave the lid open for a pre soak or it resets itself. Ive tried all the recommended steps Amana added to the instructions. Im so disappointed. I will never buy an Amana or Maytag product again. Yesterday I went to take clothes out of the dryer and I havent had an issue with the dryer until I pulled the door open and the handle on the dryer broke.I felt when I was making this purchase that Amana was a trusted brand. So I didnt listen to my feelings and I bought this product anyway. Money dont come easy for me so Im stuck using this monster that dont get whites, white and wont fill with water according to my load. All the complaints on this website are true. I wished I had of looked first. Dont buy this set people. Model # NTW4605EW0. Youll be wasting your money and frustrated like my family. Youll know us by the dingy whites.

I had an Amana gas stove/oven, and replaced approximately 4 thermostats over 5 years. I decided to get rid of it and get a new stove oven. When I went to buy the new oven, I thought maybe my Amana oven was somehow a lemon. Knowing that Amana used to mean quality, I stupidly bought another Amana gas stove/oven, which is a better model, and now more digital, and have had it since last fall. I used it the other day, and the same thing happened as it did with the other one I had, when the temperature reaches 400. All of a sudden, it ignores the 400 and keeps rising. I only knew it was happening, because my food started to smell too hot, and when I looked at the oven thermometer I have inside, it said 600 degrees. I hate that I cannot trust Amana anymore, and would really like to return this product and buy anything other than Amana.

Since day one this piece of junk that they call a stove has never worked properly. The door for the oven continues to fall off. Ive watched I dont know how many how-to videos. None of it helps you. Talk to Amana. Its out of warranty even though I just bought it from the store not even 6 months ago. I would never buy anything from this company again.

It does its job. Its easy to clean the removable filter. Rarely does it leave any residue, scrubs the dishes well. It takes tabs or powder cleaners. Easy to use, has few buttons to use, good machine!

Purchased a new Amana Washing Machine, top loader. Repair personnel just left. Oil was leaking from underneath the front. They said, Two to three weeks for new motor and other parts. I was told to continue to use it. My concern is that if there is no oil how can the motor work and the motor is the main part with additional parts. How can I continue to use it? This is a safety concern. If motor has to be replaced because the oil is gone, wouldnt it overheat causing a fire hazard, or further damage to the appliance?Updated on 09/25/2015: The repair technician just left, after a six week wait for six new parts including motor. Everything below the top. It had leaked oil onto the floor. No water damage. Just the motor and all its internal parts. This was a brand new product not a refurbished product, so I paid full price. After the ninth load of clothes this happened and less than ninety days I had go without using my washer. To my dislike I havent been offered a new product replacement nor reimbursed for my inconvenience. Im having Trust issues even right now on using my newly repaired new product. This is concerning to me. It is for this reason that I would have to rate this product a ZERO.

After just six years, the Amana refrigerator metal shelf supports have totally rusted. When I contacted Amana, they said that they would not cover it under warranty. It will cost over $160 to get new ones. This is not a quality product and Amana is certainly not a company that stands behind its products. Compared to the issues I see other people are having, I guess I am lucky. No more Amana refrigerators in my future. (The attached photo is upside but youll get the idea.)

We bought an Amana Refrigerator in May 2005. It is now 6 1/2 years old and began making noises recently It died last night and the repair will be about $800 or more. This fridge was working fine until recently. Over the past two years my parents and my wifes parents both bought this same model as they liked ours. Hopefully theirs wont die as well. We called a repairman who said that, that year (2005), there were problems with the compressors.From reading other complaints it seems that it is not limited to that year. From researching different refrigerators last night, it appears that the Amana, Maytag and Whirlpool are all exactly the same refrigerator with just a different nameplate on them. Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006 and Maytag had already bought Amana prior to that. So much for Amish people in Iowa making a decent appliance. We are disappointed in Amana. We had my grandmothers refrigerator when I was in high school. It must have been 35 years old and ran fine.

My dryer of 7 years broke down so I purchased another from a different store different brand (new). The purchased was made the end of October. This dryer was terrible at drying my clothes. It took forever for one load to dry. Finally it started taking more time. Finally it went out. It had a warranty but couldnt get the company the warranty was with to fix it so the furniture store I made the purchase with sent me a new one and this new dryer isnt any good either. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYONE AT ALL... PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. PURCHASE A DIFFERENT BRAND..

Amazing furnace! Got some sweet upgrades like UV light to clean the air and WiFi connectivity so I can control the system from where ever we are. It’s been night and day difference this summer compared to last summer on the ease of keeping our home cool! We love our Amana furnace!

I purchased an Amana HVAC system and in a little over a year- in the middle of summer it has broke 3 times. We have gone without an AC in Texas for 12 days. I contacted their corporate office and they were no help. I also contacted the distributor and they put me in contact with the regional tech and he told me I needed to be willing to spend some money to try to find the problem. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I am very frustrated and would never recommend this brand.

I have had this microwave for about 32 years. It is still working. Doesn't look too good because of age. Wish I could find another one that would give this type of service.

I thought Id done adequate research through Consumer Reports, etc. My Amana French door refrigerator model # AFD2535FES worked fine for the first year. Then, the food compartment wasnt as cold as it should be and food began to spoil, although the food in the freezer drawer was rock solid and snow started forming on the inside. Id purchased an extended warranty, so I thought having it repaired would be a non-issue. The repairman said it was due to too much food in the freezer, so air couldnt circulate into the food compartment. He said to defrost the freezer, which I did. It seemed to work OK for two weeks and the same thing happened again--all the food spoiled again, even with minimal food in the freezer. The second repairman came out, this time he said it needed a new heating element. I waited another week for the part to arrive (more time off work) and then he returned and replaced it. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. Spoiled food again, and time off work. I am expecting the repairman later today.This fancy stainless steel behemoth is a lemon and needs to be recalled. The temp inside is 65F and makes storing food impossible. It has been a huge expense and a great inconvenience. I will never buy another Amana appliance and I will advise everyone I know to boycott their products.

Amana Top Load Washer W10740545A; W10740546A - This washer was purchased from Albert Lee Appliances, Bellevue, WA, on 3/31/2015 and installed on 4/7/2015. It failed to operate for the first time on 8/5/2015. Once the appliance is installed, the customers are on their own and Albert Lee turns over repair to a company named Appliance Hospital, Seattle, WA. It does not seem like a good business decision to not also be responsible for repair for how can they gauge what products reliably serve their customers?An Appliance Hospital technician arrived on 8/7/2015, pressed the same start button that we had been engaging and the washer worked. He left with the promise that a new controller would be ordered -- not received or installed as of this date. Thus, it appears that we are involved with an intermittent failure. This does not translate to reliability concerns on the part of Albert Lee Appliances, Appliance Hospital and especially Amana-Whirlpool. Apparently, none of these businesses are concerned with the stocking of an appropriate number of repair parts locally. I would recommend that other buyers not consider doing business with the above.

I was the lucky one chosen by a bad quality control department to miss the 30-day requirement for defects. They call it a cosmetic issue. My new side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator (matching the range) has a clearly unaligned door, unaligned according to manufacturer specifications. From the top view it looks like the seals are off... One is wider in spots. However they are stating to me that it is a cosmetic issue beyond the 30-day window. And I DO HAVE PHOTOS. For AMANA to not consider this issue for what it is has been unbelievable to me. They wont replace the door... Nothing. Am I mad? I no longer consider them to be a respectable company. They would rather I have it as it is with bad quality control, using a 30-day extreme rule. So I lose.

Sometimes the fridge section freezes foods, sometimes it is not cool enough. Odors tend to stay in the fridge and linger indefinitely. Parts of the veggie drawers have broken off over time. I do love that it is a side by side, and will buy another like it. I wont buy an Amana again.

The touchpad membrane control has failed several times in the 10 years that I have owned an expensive Amana range. Amana replaced the part at the first failure but I had to pay thereafter. Each repair costs $100.00 for parts--relatively inexpensive because I do the repair myself. This failure should not happen. Amana is no longer the quality manufacturer that it once had been. I will not purchase any Amana appliances in the future.

We have an Amana refrigerator model ARB2557CSR. We have had it for 8 years. We have had a few repairs over the years, but last night took the wind out of all of us that witnessed the door fall off the hinge and break the contents that were on the door. If anyones foot would have been in the area, it would had sliced it off or crushed terribly. The door was opened and for unknown reason, dropped off onto our slate floor. If our grandson would have been near, he could have been crushed. I checked the hinges and sprockets, and it still didnt make sense.After reading other remarks about doors in consumer reviews, I am one to be added to the list. This door was one large door, not double door. It was heavy. Please be aware of this defect. I am looking at other models, yet similar malfunctions have occurred that reviews have stated. Really a frightening experience. We will be looking at other models, yet not really confident about any. Hope this helps.

If you must buy an Amana product, get an extended warranty and keep extending it for as long as you can. Unlike the folks who make these Amana products, the Assurant Solutions service protection people are a standup group. Its clear from just a little research that this product (Amana ACS3350AS) had design and manufacturing flaws from the start, including oven and broiler igniters that dont last more than a couple of years. Unsafe overheating of exterior oven surfaces. A poorly placed computer control unit that overheats with the rest of the oven. Since they stopped making the computer, less than six years after we purchased the thing, its dead. Amana argues that the California state obligation that parts be made for seven years does not apply in this case. They consider it seven years from the date of manufacture and not purchase or it seems like they are saying we didnt buy it when we bought it. Run from these people if you have a choice. The warranty company (Assurant) is paying $720.00 for the oven we spent $1,000.00 in 2006. I believe I spent $200.00 on extended warranty until 2014. No money on five repair visits. You do the math. Please keep in mind this is the same corporation that owns Whirlpool, Amana, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Consul, Brastemp, Bauknecht and Gladiator. Collecting brands, not customers. Consider the service youll get.

Bought brand new Amana washing machine from Home Depot and am very disappointed with the product. It does a lousy job of cleaning my clothes and will not fill up while I am loading (lid has to be closed for water to fill). Very disappointed not only has my money been wasted but also my time. Will never again buy anything Amana.

Amana Washer NTW4600YQ1 (2013 Model) - This washer only last 2 years after normal usage. Gear assembly broke down. I dont want to take a risk replacing the parts cause other parts might break. I will not buy Amana washer or their products. Not a reliable brand.

This stove is the worst!!!! Oven doesnt stay hot, cant bake using both oven racks because one rack will not bake at all, top surface scratches easily when trying to move a pot, no top light, melt element burns the food, drawer keeps coming off track. Space between top and back, space between top and oven door. I would never recommend this stove, its not two years old but Ive disliked it from the get-go.

Amana washing machine model NTW465OYQ. We bought this Amana washing machine after losing our shore house in hurricane Sandy. It is only 2 years old and is rarely used since it is in a vacation home. The machine already needs a new control board since the cycles do not advance. It will wash over and over forever and never advance to rinse or spin, even when the dial is turned manually. Between the repair call and the cost for the new control panel, the total to fix it is more than we paid for it. The customer service representatives stated it doesnt matter that you rarely use it, if it is over 2 years old there is nothing we can do for you. Will NEVER buy an Amana again!!

We purchased an Amana ref from our local appliance store in the Renton Highlands, a model A9RXNGFYW. In 2011, during its warranty, we called store about the overheating problem. Told that needs to be addressed to the Amana people. Called them. They say this is normal operations. Now I am talking about heat that burns when you touch anyplace around the freezer seal & side of fridge. Just want to hear if anyone else has this problem. Thank you.

These HE washers do not work to clean your clothes. They are a joke. They are seriously horrible and do not clean your clothes at all...no matter what detergent you use, amount of water, cycle, limit the clothing items you put in, etc. They all stink and come out dirty. Do not waste your money on one of these...you will regret it.

I guess I would say it is a high 5 but it is June and I have not used the heat portion of the system yet. The AC works great so far and sounds efficient. The calling mechanism is instant.

I bought this washer so I could do large quilts. But I was told now that this new Amana HE large capacity washer without center agitator has a water limit of around 17 gallons so if you want to wash a large load or quilt, think again. Im attaching a hose because I have a laundry tub and adding water. If you dont have a tub, you may want to find a machine that has something called large load or something. I set it on an extra rinse because you cant even see the water so how clean is that? Im talking about a half load. If you do small loads, you are still using more electricity and water, more work, more time, so were not saving anything, are we?

The dishwasher exceeded our expectations, the installers were punctual, courteous and did a great job of setting it up and taking the old unit away. A very nice experience!

I have a Amana dishwasher in my rental house and it stopped circulating water at about a year and half - I tried to get some type of concession from Amana for parts and labor going through their service outlet. The answer was a complete NO due to the fact that it was out of warranty. This dishwasher just stopped circulating water one day and didnt get the dishes clean due no water spraying on the dishes. I personally went underneath the dishwasher and gently tapped the circulation pump and it began to work. My years of experiences in the automotive field tells me that this is a manufacture defect with their motors where the manufactured motor has a flat spot in the rotor that will stop in a certain location and stop working at times. This failure was produced at the manufacturer and if I am right they too know that it is their responsibility to take care of the defect but the almighty profit or dollar cost is more important than customer service of honesty. To this I say I hope Amana goes out of business because I think it wont be too long that it will go out of business due to the fact that they are already under Whirlpool. I learned my lesson - if the product is cheaper than everyone else what can you expect? It sure wouldnt be your moneys worth, not even at a year and half use.

It has a bottom freezer which is easy to get to & arrange. Also with an automatic ice maker. The refrigerator shelves are glass so you aren't likely to "lose" items. Shelves in door are adjustable to fit any need. Everything comes out so it is easy to clean. Outside is also easy to clean & no streaking. I Love It!!!

I recently moved into a new apartment and the washer and dryer had already been used by the previous tenants. I used the washer with a small load on a cold cycle, and when the load was finished, my clothes were still DRY! Some of the clothes had wet spots but for the most part, my clothes looked like someone just splashed water on them. I had to redo the cycle on a larger load setting. My clothes came out FULL of someone elses lint.The dryer. Ohhh, the dryer. I then place my linty clothes in the dryer to see if they will be removed. I do a full 60 minute cycle. I open up the dryer when it is finished and my load is warm, but still damp! After 60 minutes on hot! I have to run the dryer 4 TIMES to dry a load of laundry. Needless to say, the landlord was called and he is replacing, but God, please dont let him buy another set of Amana washer and dryer. Please!!!

We bought an Amana washer and dryer set 3 years ago, the washer wont advance to rinse/spin and sometimes wont unlock unless the unit is unplugged. The dryer is also failing, before the washer started having issues the dryer stopped working efficiently and has to be run for 120 minutes to get clothes dry. Im dissatisfied and disappointed!

This isnt a NEW model fridge. I purchased it back in 1991. Ive never had to repair it. It just keeps on running! Once, my daughter didnt close the door all the way, so the fridge ran constantly all night long and had quit running by the following morning. I unplugged it and let the motor cool down. When I restarted it, it ran like before and has been running since. It still looks good, not new, but presentable. Im holding off replacing it since Ive heard the newer fridges arent made to last. Its not as energy efficient as a new model, but, last I checked, its not an energy hog either.

In July or 2015 I purchased a side by side ref from a small dealership. The ref was delivered 1st part of Aug. Called dealer a few days later stating ref was not working properly - wasnt making enough ice and cubes were small. Dealer came out and adjusted ice maker. Called back few days later requesting my money back. Still having issues with ice maker and ref was sweating and dripping moisture on panel between ref and freezer. He came out again said a cardboard panel had to be replaced in back of ref. Also stated getting my money back was not an option as he was not going to be stuck with a used ref.When he returned with cardboard panel he found out that they had sent wrong replacement part. After that he would no longer come out and refused to take my calls. So I began calling Amana direct. I first asked for my money back since the ref was less than 30 days old when I started having trouble. I was told that my warranty only covered repair or replacement. They arranged for a repairman to come out.In Sept. the ref was deemed unrepairable and a replacement was ordered and arrived Oct. 8. Within a week or so I was again calling Amana. This ref was not cooling properly. Ice was forming on inside wall of freezer and ref compartment was too warm. To keep this from going on forever let me say 2 repair companies and at least 8 repair trips later this 4 month old ref is still not working. One person from Amana suggested that I just keep my food in another ref. All the other representatives sympathized with me and called to schedule a repair appt. All I can say is that this ref is poorly designed and Amana Makes JUNK. I will never buy another Amana product and I am sorry I paid cash for this one.

We bought our Amana fridge from Sears when they first came out with the freezer drawer, at the bottom. Thought it was the coolest thing ever. 3 months after getting it the freezer handle fell off, so my husband screwed it back on. Again it came off. Needless to say it keep coming off. Finally I just got fed up with it and stuck it in the garage. My husband put it back on again. it was on for maybe 6 months, then came right off in his hands again. Well Ill never own a Frigidaire again and I will add Amana to that list too now. Had this fridge for 16 yrs. My next one will be a Samsung.
