This machine does not wash clothes very well. Everything must be hand washed beforehand. So for lightly soiled items, it would be nice to be able to just rinse and spin/dry. But even this small feature is impossible to isolate. The spin cycle leaves clothes quite wet. The rinse cycle adds more water than the wash cycle does and takes forever. Remember that I am getting the dirt out by washing the clothes by hand. The wash cycle does such a poor job. When I put the bed cover in for a wash, the water level did not wet more than half of the cover. So I manually filled it with water from the sink. The washer released the water out. So I wasted all that soap and effort. I took the cover to the laundromat. This machine does not wash laundry well. It has one reason for being in the house: to wash laundry, and I am doing clothes by hand or going to a laundromat. #fail.

My Amana washing machine does a great job that makes my laundry day fantastic. I love using it and my male companion uses it to wash his suits. I could have never purchased a more durable washer and it does not use too much electricity. I am very proud of my washer.

I’ve owned several “high end” dryers and was disappointed every time. This Amana dryer is super energy-efficient and quiet! For the price, it’s the best dryer I’ve ever owned!

I purchased an Amana washer model NFW7200TW in 02/2010. I had to have a repair technician come out on November of the same year - the water was not draining and the pump was not working. Now, it’s the same issue. Of course, Amana offered to sell me an extended one-year warranty for $300.00 (a little less than 1/2 the cost of the machine) since my warranty was for one year, even though it was the same issue. Ive also read where others have had the same issue. I will not deal with this company again.

We have owned an Amana Range AER5830VAX0 for two years. From cooking and appearance the appliance is just fine. The problem we have been dealing with is the Plastic flange at the ends of the oven range handle. The piece has cracked and chipped post warranty and it cost over $60 to replace. You need to replace the entire handle. That was this past spring. Here it is mid September and the new piece it has is now breaking apart once again.

Amana has more than met my expectation, in function and in appearance. I have enjoyed the bottom freezer. The only exception is the quality of the handle, broke within two years.

My Amana appliance is 11 yrs old and maybe I expect it to last longer, but I had to have it repaired in the last two years twice. They just dont make things like they used to or maybe it is the country they make them in. I had a bottom freezer Sears refrigerator, I think it was a Kenmore brand and when I moved out of my house it was 19 yrs old, running good. But I didnt want to move it, because it was so big and I was moving to an apartment. It really is a good refrigerator, just not one that lasts a long time. I expect a $2000.00 refrigerator to last at least 20 years if you take good care of it, like vacuum the places required and keep it clean.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator model AFF2534FEW3, two years ago. All of a sudden, the refrigerator is not cooling but the freezer is working. To apparently repair the controller board, it will cost me $232.00. When I purchased this refrigerator, I expected it to last a lot longer than it has and from reading other complaints, I see that it is an ongoing problem with Amana. You would think that they might recall these faulty controller boards. I will definitely not buy another Amana again and will not recommend them to anyone!

I inherited an Amana fridge from a deceased aunt. It worked great for a year. The fridge was a couple years old. She had an extended warranty when fridge went warm and would not cool. Repair came and replaced jazz board and didnt look at anything else. It was unplugged for a few days and worked good for a couple weeks and voila, fridge went warm and we lost all the food. Repair came in 2 weeks and replaced a condenser and nothing else. Fridge was unplugged and worked fine. Three weeks later, its warm again. Repair screwed up and canceled my appointment and we lost more food. Repair came a week later, replaced compressor and a copper line, added freon and checked for leaks. It worked for three more weeks and then it went warm again. Repair came back 2 weeks later and could not find anything wrong except it lost its charge. He called Amana and they had him check for dye leaks inside the fridge near the seams. Voila, there is dye. One, am I eating dye from it leaking in the fridge on the food?! Two, what dumdum puts copper tubing in the walls of a fridge so they cannot be reached? Three, why didnt repair guys check all lines and seams in the first place? Fridge was deemed unrepairable. After countless hours putting stuff in coolers, losing food, etc, I have to buy a new fridge. The warranty company was very helpful though and covered the food loss and repairs, but we are waiting for a call to see if they will help with a new fridge. If you buy Amana, buy the warranty. By the way, if you unplug the fridge overnight, it will work fine for almost a month!

It had problems to begin with ie: pushing the start button had to push 13 times. They kept fixing it, finally changing the computer part. Had 5 service calls. Also kept stopping mid-wash cycle. BOTTOM LINE: DONT GET THIS DISHWASHER!!

I purchased a new Amana stove for a rental property in GA at the beginning of Sept. It has NEVER worked. When I called they said they could only speak to the tenant, when she called it was past the 48 hours of delivery and since I didn’t get the warranty they would have someone come out and repair it... ok fine. The company was a no-show and no call twice. Then I get a letter from the GA housing authority that I am required to have a working stove within two days. I was forced to purchase a second stove for the renting family. I called and called Amana to pick up the useless stove and credit my account. They were extremely rude on the phone and refused to take it back. Not when I call the new repair company told me it would be fixed the day after Thanksgiving, following up today they now say the part is on backorder until next month. This will be three months now that I purchased the stove and fortunately am paying zero interest on through HD. I cannot believe the lack of customer service with Amana. I will NEVER EVER do any business with them again!!!

I purchased an electrical oven from Buddys Appliances - something went wrong and they replaced it with the Amana Electric Oven. I had troubles with it the entire time Ive had it, and noticed whenever I put it on self clean it did a horrible burning smell and would smoke out the house - something awful. So after cooking dinner I put it on self clean and it did the usual, I didnt think much of it till I noticed the inside of my oven was in flames. Lucky my son-in-law and his friend pulled it out of the house, I couldnt put it out myself being that it went on to self lock. It was so hot the boys burned themselves pretty bad by trying to get it out of the house. Im waiting to hear back from both companies Amana and the store I purchased it from, this happened on 30 minutes ago, I just thought this could help others.

I thought Id done adequate research through Consumer Reports, etc. My Amana French door refrigerator model # AFD2535FES worked fine for the first year. Then, the food compartment wasnt as cold as it should be and food began to spoil, although the food in the freezer drawer was rock solid and snow started forming on the inside. Id purchased an extended warranty, so I thought having it repaired would be a non-issue. The repairman said it was due to too much food in the freezer, so air couldnt circulate into the food compartment. He said to defrost the freezer, which I did. It seemed to work OK for two weeks and the same thing happened again--all the food spoiled again, even with minimal food in the freezer. The second repairman came out, this time he said it needed a new heating element. I waited another week for the part to arrive (more time off work) and then he returned and replaced it. Two weeks later, the same problem happened. Spoiled food again, and time off work. I am expecting the repairman later today.This fancy stainless steel behemoth is a lemon and needs to be recalled. The temp inside is 65F and makes storing food impossible. It has been a huge expense and a great inconvenience. I will never buy another Amana appliance and I will advise everyone I know to boycott their products.

I bought a Amana electric stove 4 years ago. Im extremely picky with my stuff so I just now decided to clean the oven. I ran the self cleaning mode on the stove twice even and the oven looks terrible. Honestly it looks worse than it did before I cleaned it. The bottom of the stove looks like its a real old stove. So disappointing, never again will I buy from this brand!

Ice maker on Amana ADT 2105 BW refrigerator/freezer. Ice maker no longer available and NO substitute available. Contacting the company...same thing. So Amana is telling me, Tough luck, sucker.

I purchased this Amana washer in March 23, 2015. In February 27, 2016, this problem occurred: I turn on the washer, but as soon as the wash fill ups with water, it does not move to wash and it does not lock to start the wash cycle. The water drains and then I have to start the wash all over again. So I thought it was the lid switch, and my solution was to push down on the lid hard enough until I heard a click sound. This worked for several months. Another problem occurred on August 12, 2016: my load would complete the cycle, but when I open the lid, I clearly see that the clothes are soaked so this means that during the drain/spin cycle, the speed was too slow to fully squeeze out all of the water from the clothes. So my next solution was to start the drain/spin cycle only, but again. With all these problems that keep coming up, we decided to use our warranty, so we called in to have the washer repaired.We called HHGregg to repair the washer, and we gave all the detailed information as to the problems and the possible fixes to it. Their representatives solution was to replace the washer because they deemed the necessary repairs to the washer as costing more than the value of the washer. Well, we were shocked, because this washer is only 18 months old, so how could its value decrease so quickly in under 2 years? I researched and found that the drain/spin and lid switch is a very common problem with Amana washers. So we understood that we got what we paid for. So back to the washer replacement with HHGregg. They shipped us a new washer for around the same price of our old purchase.Again, we purchased the first washer in March (we got a St. Patricks Day Sale Price), and now were getting this new washer that is smaller and still is an Amana. HHGregg refuses to repair it, they would rather give us a washer that is smaller in capacity and would most likely last for a year but no more than 2 yrs. In a nutshell, we were screwed over by HHGregg, because they saved on repair costs, and gave us a washer of lesser value than what we originally started with. Oh ya, we had to pay on taxes, obviously, so they profited from that too. AMANA WASHERS ARE TERRIBLE!!! Save your money and purchase a more reliable washer!!!

We have a 3-year-old Amana refrigerator that keeps breaking down. It currently is freezing all of my fruits and vegetables. It has done this twice before then overheated.

The washer has a very large capacity and is pretty basic, but does the job. I don't need all the options. It fill based on sensing the size of the load so I don't have to guess. It has basic look, but so far has performed very well. I like that it is American made.

Amana freezer (AQF2013TEW03) - I purchased a 20 Cu Ft upright freezer in February 2011. I had a repairman here in March 2011 because I could see light around the outside, right side of the seal. Because the light was on continuously, it kept the inside warm therefore, the freezer ran nonstop for 6 weeks. Now, the inside keeps frosting up on the top. Because it is no longer in warranty, I called a different repair company. The person who came out said that the whole inside of the door is falling part, defective mold and its sagging. The seal at the top of the door is not straight across nor never was. Because the inside door is sagging, the seal was and is continuing to sag. I called customer service for the third time today. They said because it is out of warranty, they wont do anything about it. I told them its been a problem since I bought it and they said that I should have told them within 90 days of the first repair that it wasnt correct. How was I supposed to know that the door/seal werent made like that since I bought it new? They told me Id have to purchase a new door for $403.44 plus tax and shipping. They kept bringing up the no warranty and that it would be fixed if Id have had an extended warranty. I was not offered an extended warranty when we purchased it (which I told them) and they said I should have gotten a postcard reminding me that the warranty period was up soon. I never received the card and and their customer service department doesnt believe me. This is terrible customer service and they dont stand behind their product. Four months out of warranty and Im stuck with a very large boat anchor. Their customer service is awful to say the least. The supervisor is just as bad and they dont give a crap about anything. I will never purchase another Amana/Whirlpool product.

We purchased a NEW Amana Electric range model #AER6303MFS2 11 MONTHS AGO. Heat escaping from the stove seems to be excessive when cooking. Kitchen gets uncomfortable hot. Had Amana technician check (8/24/2020) and during the heat cycle (with stove set at 350 F) stove registered (with techs instruments) a low of 328F and a high of 382F....a 54 degree swing??? Tech indicated this was normal range. This seems excessive on both ends. Spoke to Home Depot and their appliance salespeople could not confirm or deny this 54 degree range as being normal! Contacted Amana thru survey channel and have not received any response. Looking at replacing stove with another brand that has better heat control.

Have gone thru 4 repairs for the main board and temp probe in one year. For Amana aer6303mfs1 model glass top range. Now its out of warranty and its messing up again. Gives an f3 o3 error code and the oven wont go above 275 degrees. Will never buy from them again. Bought at Home Depot.

Purchased an Amana top loading washer and two days the door lock light was flashing and the unit was buzzing. The washer smelled like wires were overheating. 5 service appointments later the unit was replaced by Amana. Less than a week later the problem I had with the first unit is now happening with the New replaced model. Amana stated that they have no recalls or complaints on this model NTW4605EW0.

Refrigerator has unique closed seal feature. When door is closed, vacuum seal is created by small pump. Feature keeps door sealed more tightly, but sometimes difficult to open. Model has only one shelf, two shelves would be more versatile.

I bought an Amana gas dryer less than a year ago, the paint on the inside started peeling off and messing up our clothes. So I get a hold of customer service and they tell me it dont cover anything after 30 days!!! Are you kidding me 400 dollar piece of scrap metal... stay far away from this brand - they do not support their product!!

This washer has been with me about 20 years and keeps on keeping on. Does a good job on spin out. Not too loud.. It's got three load sizes. If I buy another one it will be this kind. I bought it at Lowe's.

I love my old Amana side by side, bought in 11/2001. But what I cant find in the new ones is the milk keeper with the door. That is the best part of the refrigerator. If I cant find that and after reading these reviews I will find a different brand.

I brought an Amana washer and dryer set in 2015. Four years later, the washer works great, the dryer quit, so now I have to replace a dryer that should have lasted a lot longer than four years. If youre in the market for a new washer and dryer, dont buy Amana. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy.

Do not buy Amana!! Purchased a washer and dryer on 5/24/16. Washer will not drain but is full of water. They want me to sit at home on a Thursday (NEXT WEEK), today is Monday, until a repairman shows up. No idea when. Just wants me to wait. Informed them I will have the washer, water supply and a cord to plug into outside because they arent entering my house. I am an independent driver for people needing rides to Dr, Grocery and so on. I did inform them I could wait but a $20.00 an hour fee will be charged. Ill let you know what happens if I can.

This is the worst washing machine Ive ever used! You cannot soak any clothes because if you walk away with the lid open during the filling cycle and you do not close the lid within 10 minutes it pumps the water out. There is no way to delay the wash cycle in order to soak a load of clothes. The rise cycle fills with cold water, does not agitate, and immediately pumps the water out. When it has finished pumping the water out (there is no way to stop this action) I then need to turn the selector knob to rinse in order to rinse the clothes. This results in my using twice the water for the rinse. Talk about a crummy machine. I had a repairman out to replace the control board, but it only worked for a week. My advice - DO NO BUY AMANA PRODUCTS!

This isnt a NEW model fridge. I purchased it back in 1991. Ive never had to repair it. It just keeps on running! Once, my daughter didnt close the door all the way, so the fridge ran constantly all night long and had quit running by the following morning. I unplugged it and let the motor cool down. When I restarted it, it ran like before and has been running since. It still looks good, not new, but presentable. Im holding off replacing it since Ive heard the newer fridges arent made to last. Its not as energy efficient as a new model, but, last I checked, its not an energy hog either.

I got this product installed in my rented house by the landlord. The machine stopped working on the first week right before Christmas. We waited 10 days for repair guy to come and fix it. The machine is new so he billed $340 the insurance or whatever. Two laundry loads later the machine is dead again. I ruined my laundry because I put the detergent and the bleach and had to wait another week for another repair guy to come. Im not going to be surprised if it dies again soon after... I wonder if all the happy customers reviews are actually submitted by the customers. I also wonder if my review will be screened out and removed from this site. Im gonna post it everywhere though. Save your money and save yourself from the troubles. Get something that is not so cheaply made.

I bought an Amana Refrigerator Model ABB1924DEB in 2004. Within several months, it was making funny noises. Several repair technicians and hundreds of dollars later, all I was told was that those were normal sounds. They kept getting worse until the other day when the freezer and fridge no longer work. This was the worst purchase Ive ever made, and will never buy another Amana or Maytag product. Buyers beware! Now, as I look online, I see all these brands are owned by Whirlpool, along with many others. The company is running a damn monopoly and should be busted up. Whatever happened to competition? America loses when competition is stifled.

Since the purchase of the Amana fridge, installed 4/2014 has been repaired 3 times and now the icemaker has failed again. Called to schedule a repair and was told that the policy has been cancelled for non-payment. The extended warranty and unit are paid in full at the time of purchase! Of all the appliances Ive owned in the last 45 years, this is undoubtedly the worst of the bunch. Am I required to go through the hassle of making a copy and sending it to prove the warranty is still in force? No! What a runaround! DO NOT PURCHASE AMANA PRODUCTS! Unless you want a lemon and have to make your own ice. To date, the water pump and icemaker has been replaced. 1st replacement of the icemaker was put in wrong and had to have service tech come back to fix that issue.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator about 2 1/2 years ago. Right after the 1 year warranty ran out, I started having problems. A strong nasty burning chemical smell was coming from the appliance and making me and everything in the house stink. Plus, the smell was making me sick, irritating my nose and eyes. The repairman replaced the relay on the compressor and told me that would take care of the problem. Well, 1 year later, we are experiencing the very same problem. The smell is so bad, I am going to have to unplug the appliance and store all the food at a friends until the repairman can get here next week. It is getting into my hair and clothes, so that I smell it all day when I am at work. I will never purchase an Amana appliance again.

So far, we are very pleased with our new furnace, air conditioner and air cleaning system. The installation process went very smoothly and we are impressed with the overall system's operations. We are especially pleased with how quiet it is and have already noticed that our home is less dusty. The air cleaner also did a great job of keeping the smoke our of our home during the nearby fires in the northwest of the United States.

I bought a Amana washer and paid over 400.00 dollars for it brand new in the box. It last 1 year before the door that automatically latches the door on top broke and on the front of the control panel its flashing and says door latch. Its going to cost me 90.00 for a new lock. If thats the problem - if not, they said its the circuit board. It cost 230.00. I will never buy another appliances under this name.

I have been using this dishwasher for about 2 months. My last 2 were the more expensive stainless steel tub type...they were 4x the price and lasted less than 3 yrs each, so we decided to go with a less expensive dishwasher. I am happy with the decision so far. The soap works just fine in this one, but in my last one I had to alter the soap and add borax...this cleans with the regular stuff quite well.

We are a single couple with few loads to run. After 3 years our Amana front load washer circuit board went out. It was replaced with a three hundred dollar new one. 3 years after the replacement was installed, the replacement went haywire. This is a circuit board part that everyone says is no longer available because the manufacturer doesnt want to replace anymore.So, long story short: Original cost of new Amana front load originally: $560. Cost of first replacement circuit board $385. (Replacement part lasted 2 years). New cost to replace our Amana washer $600. New cost to haul off Amana washer $50. Wow! My total $1,595. It used to be that Amana was a great name. Ill never buy from them again.

We purchased the Amana refrigerator 8 years ago from Alabama Power Company and we have multiple problems over the years. For example, the ice maker sometimes dispenses the ice and sometimes it will not. Also, we have not the water valve intake gone bad and saturated our carpets. We had replaced it at the tune of approximately $300 and time off work having to wait on the repairman. Now, once again it has gone bad and we are again waiting on a repairman. I am very disgruntled with this since we did pay good money and continue with practically a new refrigerator which should last many years.

We bought our Amana fridge last year...it is still under warranty. Three days ago it stopped working...very warm inside. The first person I spoke to at Amana/Whirlpool said I would have to wait a week for service. She was very unhelpful, couldnt have sounded less interested. I found a local repairman who said he could do warranty work for Amana & could come at once but needed a dispatch number. When I phoned Amana again I got a more helpful person & the repair man came that day. However the fridge needs a new part & so I still have to wait until next week. Luckily were having very cold weather so all my food is out in Mother Natures refrigerator! Having read all the above reviews Im hoping that I dont have a total lemon. We bought the fridge because it was the only one that fit the space we have...but Im very disappointed.

I was the lucky one chosen by a bad quality control department to miss the 30-day requirement for defects. They call it a cosmetic issue. My new side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator (matching the range) has a clearly unaligned door, unaligned according to manufacturer specifications. From the top view it looks like the seals are off... One is wider in spots. However they are stating to me that it is a cosmetic issue beyond the 30-day window. And I DO HAVE PHOTOS. For AMANA to not consider this issue for what it is has been unbelievable to me. They wont replace the door... Nothing. Am I mad? I no longer consider them to be a respectable company. They would rather I have it as it is with bad quality control, using a 30-day extreme rule. So I lose.

WARNING. The Amana clothes washer I purchased does not wash clothes. It moves clothes around and gets some of them wet. I have tried to manually add water to the wash and rinse cycles with a bucket. I recently hurt my back and was not able to manually wash my clothes with this piece of poop. I finally had enough and have upgraded to a automatic clothes washer that agitates the clothes instead of me. This Amana HE washer is the slowest, least efficient, manual clothes washer on the market. I had the piece of junk hauled to the dump before I grabbed the model. It was a Amana HE with no agitator. Should not be sold as a clothes washer. False advertising.

When we had purchased our house almost 2 years ago there was a fairly new and barely used Amana range. I use it all the time and never had any issues at all, also like the idea that it is self cleaning even though I hadn't used that feature as of yet but plan on it very soon.

We were very pleased with Swan - Zach and Josh went above and beyond every step of the way with explaining the installation process. We're excited with the Amana products and hope they live a long time with us (ha).

I cant stress enough how disappointed and upset I am, not only with the brand new refrigerator (model A9RXNMSWS01) breaking after 16 months, but nonsense communication, attitude, and difficulties Amana customer service just displayed! Warning: Do not purchase the top freezer, 2-door, stainless steel Amana refrigerator. The compressor will die soon after 12 months. The contracted repair person mentioned this is not uncommon with this brand. So, after spending $866 on this junk, we had to shell out another $300 in repair costs.Then the repair failed to work! Two Amana compressors defective! No, we did not have the extended warranty but how often does a fridge die? Not after 1.4 years! Amana CS was awful, combative and couldnt communicate a clear sentence. These are lemons!

My husband and I bought a brand new Amana front load washer in May of 2009. Last week, March 5, 2011, it broke. It began buzzing. When I went to check it, the washer has an “ND” code and it would not open. The first girl I spoke with was Samantha. She told me that she couldnt find that code in her computer (on the net is says it means no drain, most likely true), but she told me how to get the washer to unlocked. Eventually, it did work. My washer still had dirty water and soap in it. I handled the soapy mess and later washed my clothing at my in-law’s house. When I called back to talk to them about why my washer wouldnt work and what they could do to help me, I was told nothing. I spoke to a manager and was told the same thing. The only thing they were willing to do was give me a warranty plus one. Meaning, that I get this repair fixed and one-year warranty on the piece of junk in my basement. My washer wont be 3 till May. There is no reason for it to be broken. I also did my own research and many people have complained about the same problem. I feel that this washer should be recalled or at least the company should fix it at no cost to the consumer. This seems to be an on-going problem with this model. We bought thinking this we were buying from a good company. Now, Im stuck with a scrap pile till I get the repair guy to come out, thanks to a warranty that I have to pay for out of pocket.

I purchased a stove/oven a few years ago. I hardly ever use it and the issue is the grates on top of the burner that you place your pots/pans on melted horrible. IT IS A STOVE...Flame comes out of the burner ..You cook on it..Seriously..it melts the burner???? The entire finish burnt off the burners. I would never buy another product from them..A stove top that melts. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

New Amana fridge in June of 08: The ice-maker broke in November and was fixed under warranty. 6 months later (still in warranty), it stops working, but only occasionally. Stupid me should have gotten it fixed again, but it wasnt that bad. When it broke for good, the flimsy 1-year warranty (really, people?) had just ended, though it was less than a year since the first problem. I called Amana - they refused to help. I decided this was just wrong, and called to complain. After 35 minutes on hold, I got an agent who was so rude I decided to complain about her. The problem was, she refused to even give her name! I submitted this entire story on the web-based customer service portal. Weeks went by and I received no response, except I did get a solicitation in the mail to buy an extended warranty! So, my miserable customer experience is viewed by Amana as a marketing opportunity! I have read many others say the same thing. It’s shocking how American customer service values have eroded. Finally, I got their social media person over Twitter. He looked into it and refused to help. I could tell it was because he has no power to deviate from their script. Amana has it baked into their corporate culture to treat customer misery as an opportunity to make money.

Purchased a new refrigerator that didnt work from day one. After visits from two different repairmen, we are now required to transport the fridge to the next town over so that the compressor can be replaced. After several months of dealing with their help line, I feel that it is ludicrous that we are still without a fridge and are required to arrange for this transportation ourselves. This is in a rental unit that we are unable to rent out because of no fridge. We will now be forced to purchase a new fridge because who knows how long this repair will take. I guarantee it will not say Amana or any related product name on it. GE is looking pretty good. As a side point, we have purchased at least 60 appliances from them in the last year and they still arent willing to go to do anything else for us. Cant imagine the average consumer getting any kind of relief from them.

Great refrigerator, we have not had one problem in the eight years that we have owned our Amana side by side. The exterior has held up great especially with a move from Oklahoma back to Texas. I would definitely buy another Amana.

Dryer spews lint out from around the lint trap door. It has since we bought it and has progressively gotten worse. The lint trap door is on the top of the dryer. Whole house ends with a layer of dust every time laundry is done. Laundry room gets a nice layer of lint in it as well. Since this is a gas dryer, I have concerns about this being a fire hazard. Didnt fully appreciate the quantity of lint being spewed until after warrant was expired. Didnt contact company due to this, but it has been this way since it was delivered, just has gotten worse.

I bought my Amana bottom freezer refrigerator (Model # ABB 1924 WEWO) in August of 2010 for over $1100. By July 2012, it was leaking from the freezer. A thick layer of ice had collected under the freezer baskets and periodically defrosted and leaked. The Amana complaint department merely said that the refrigerator was out of warranty and offered to sell me a warranty for several hundred dollars. I refused the warranty and called a repairman who cost me $114. He said that the problem was a factory defect. The workers at the factory had plugged up the drain with a type of grommet called a duck bill. This kept the water from draining and caused the freezing. Clearly this was a factory defect, the result of incompetent workmanship and careless quality control. Of course, quality and Amana have become a contradiction in terms. I will never buy an Amana product, and I warn every other consumer to beware of Amana. In my experience, at the very least, this product is defective, and the company refuses to accept responsibility for the inferiority of its products.

We bought our Amana side by side in 1980 when we moved to our new house. I believe it is a 24.5 cubic feet. Durability...it is still working excellently and thats a sign of quality. Thats 30 years and still kicking. We never had any repair on it nor have any problem with the cooling system. The only one that gave up was the drinking water line after 15 years of drinking service to my family. Service that I have done was annually clean and vacuum the accumulated dust at the bottom of the refrigerator including clean the drain pan. Thats it. If I need to replace this old workhorse in my kitchen Ill purchase another Amana refrigerator. I shared our experience with our friends around and some of them bought this brand.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator on 3/22/2010, model # ABB2222FEB3, serial #K00561248. Purchase price of the unit is $1,225.10. Less than two years later, 3/6/2012, the circuit board that monitors when to defrost the cooling system failed. Service call price is $68, labor and replacement parts $432, tax $35. Total repair bill is $530. I called Amana customer service dept to learn while they stand behind their product, they will not pay for repair. So products shoddy workmanship, lack of quality control are the customers problem. Never buy another Amana product in this lifetime.

Our Kenmore Elite (made by Whirlpool) upright freezer died after 5 years. To me thats a short lifespan. We purchased a new Amana upright freezer (also made by Whirlpool) to replace it February 18, 2018 and today (June 11, 2018) now refuses to freeze anything. It runs constantly but will not freeze even though its set to deep freeze. Called for a repair which is coming tomorrow so Ill see how this plays out. Probably a nightmare. In addition and while dealing with the freezer our Whirlpool refrigerator has now also died at 9 years. Again doesnt this seem a bit short? So right now we have no freezer and no fridge and it’s going to take days to figure out what the next move is... replace??? So who pays for all the food product we have lost?? I’m absolutely disgusted with Whirlpool products. In communicating with Whirlpool their attitude was lack-lustre. It goes through a process that takes days to complete and weeks to get a replacement if they even agree to do that. In the meantime we have lost hundreds of dollars in food and no-one cares. Never again will I buy Whirlpool.

Amana Washer NTW4516F - If I could give Zero or negative I would. This is the MOST awful service I have ever had anywhere, and I am 65 years old and have lived on 3 continents and 4 countries. Awful washer, awful service. The washer blew up with electric sparks all over the place after 3 weeks - couldve electrocuted the lady of the house! Now we are coming up on 4 weeks later and the repair is STILL NOT COMPLETE. I get a lot of sympathy but no action. The local service company never did respond to any follow up, or messages left on their god-awful phone system, and now we have to wait another week to get a second service company in there. Amana never offered to compensate for having to go to the laundromat for a month, or replace their crummy machine.

I purchased a rental house that had a 16-year-old refrigerator. My brother was upgrading his appliances to stainless steel, so he offered me his 8-year-old Amana refrigerator. I thought it would be a good idea to reduce the risk of having to replace an old unit. Im now on my third major repair in less than two years. Im very disappointed with the quality of the Amana appliance.

Purchased a Washer and Dryer from the NEX online back May. The dryer had issues of turning itself off. It would stay on unless someone opened the door or turned it off. I thought it was the times and purchase another one for $83. Now the dryer has stopped working all together, no wonder this brand has cheap prices. BEWARE. Do NOT purchase Amana products!

Performs satisfactorily. Outdoor unit is bit louder than expected. We built our house in 1990 in Central V. Passive solar with 6" framing and 24" of insulation in the attic, At 11 degrees F. the Auxiliary Heat never came on over the course of 4 hours.

We purchased an Amana washing machine. I noticed that there was a bad odor in my utility room that was so strong it even came out in the other parts of the house at times. We had no idea where the odor was coming from. We check the septic system thinking maybe that may be where it was coming from and even had the septic pumped out. Still the odor kept coming and we could not figure out where the odor was coming from. Then we noticed that the water was not draining all the way out of the washing machine. It just sits in there because it does not spin out all of the water. I tried to get repairs done on the machine but they would not do anything because they said my warranty had run out. I am very unhappy with this product.

I purchased an Amana refrigerator with bottom freezer about 4 years ago. Recently noticed water leaking from under the freezer onto the laminate floor. Upon further investigation noticed ice build up on the floor of the freezer. The lower basket would scrape on the ice as the door basket was pulled out. Checked out the problem on the internet and noticed a number of similar complaints. At that point assumed maybe there was a recall for a certain part causing the problem. Called the store where I purchased the appliance and a repairman was out within a day. He was knowledgeable and knew what the problem was. It appears to be fairly common. The replacement part has been fixed to remedy the problem. Because this is what I was told, I inquired about a possible recall. I was told that the part had been modified since I purchased my refrigerator. If the part has been changed or modified then it seems Amana is aware of the problem. The part is a drain tube. The cost to me including labor was almost $200.00. I felt that Amana should cover the cost as there are a number of complaints about this issue. The serviceman suggested I call Amana so I did. Even though the representatives were nice and professional they offered no resolution or satisfaction to my complaint. I spoke with a supervisor too. I fully explained my reason for calling and my dissatisfaction with Amana but really felt that they could care less. I stated that they would lose me as a customer if they could not stand behind their product especially knowing this was not a new problem. I guess customer satisfaction doesnt count for much today. Too bad but that is the last Amana product I will buy.

Front left burner is not working properly. Only outside rings of coil are heating up. Took forever to boil but never came to a rolling boil. My pasta was a big pile of mush. Worst stove I have ever owned!

Amana Washer NTW4600YQ1 (2013 Model) - This washer only last 2 years after normal usage. Gear assembly broke down. I dont want to take a risk replacing the parts cause other parts might break. I will not buy Amana washer or their products. Not a reliable brand.

Our Amana side by side is now 10 years old without a single breakdown. Keeps food and drink at the proper temperature and has plenty of room and is well laid out. Shopping often we dont tend to stuff the frig. The stainless exterior requires a bit more cleaning to keep it looking great.

I have had several gas stoves, ovens and this one seems to work perfect for me it doesnt have a bunch of bells and whistles its a plain Jane and I love it. If youre wanting something to cook with that evenly Cooks this is what you would want to buy Amanda is a good Appliance Ive had whirlpools, Frigidaire, GE, LG, Samsung but this is really good for just plain cooking.

The energy efficiency is excellent. I get a weekly report on my energy usage, and it has already dropped significantly with this new AC unit.

Three of my Amana appliances are not working. The Amana washer is 4.5 years old, the Amana oven and dishwasher are 6 years old. I understand that appliances break down but three so soon and at the same time????? Shame on Amana. Do not buy Amana products! I just paid $170 for a diagnostic evaluation to tell me that the repairs will cost me over $750. The issues I have with all three are common with other customer issues, yet the company does not issue recalls. I bought the stackable washer & dryer. If I end up needing a new washer, I dont know if I will be able to get one that will properly fit under the Amana dryer. I will never ever buy an Amana product again. Their products are defective and they do not care about customer service.

Was purchasing my first washer & dryer and, quite frankly, looking for best value I could find. Bought Amana washer and dryer and while I dont do tons of laundry, they have both been great. Especially like that the washer has sensing to determine optimal water level. Only thing Im not crazy about, and this is nit-picking, there is no buzzer to indicate that a load is done.

On 2/15/2010, I purchased an Amana Refrigerator for $1019. My old refrigerator was noisy. I had my new Amana for 7 months before it starting making loud noises. Had it repaired under my warranty. 11/25/2011, the refrigerators main part no longer was cooling, although the freezer was still working. Amana now wants $65 for a house call, plus labor and parts or $312 for a one year warranty which would include this repair. How disgusting is this to pay that much for an appliance and have it work for approximately 18 months, and then have the manufacturer want additional money it repair this lemon. After reading some of the reviews, I would never pay an Amana repair man and or buy Amana again. The consumer should be able to get relief from companies like this.

Contacted Whirlpool/Amana regarding my 95 year old mothers washing machine. She purchased in February 2014. She uses the machine once or twice a week. During the rinse cycle, the water pumps in and out at the same time. No agitation. One year warranty on machine, so the company will not replace for free. My brother and I have contacted them repeatedly with no solution.

It is too cramped, much of the size is on the outside, not the inside. The shelves are inadequate and the inner construction of both shelves and drawers is flimsy. The real problem is my better half has looked at alternatives and they are no better. I could best call it all flash and no fire.

I am really upset that I have to keep resetting this machine. I have lived in my house for 16 years and the washer I had before lasted years with no problems. Then I buy a Amana washer and have had to reset it so many times. Its terrible, the warranty dont last. Its costing me more to get it fixed than it costed in the store. We bought an Amana Refrigerator in May 2005. It is now 6 1/2 years old and began making noises recently It died last night and the repair will be about $800 or more. This fridge was working fine until recently. Over the past two years my parents and my wifes parents both bought this same model as they liked ours. Hopefully theirs wont die as well. We called a repairman who said that, that year (2005), there were problems with the compressors.From reading other complaints it seems that it is not limited to that year. From researching different refrigerators last night, it appears that the Amana, Maytag and Whirlpool are all exactly the same refrigerator with just a different nameplate on them. Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006 and Maytag had already bought Amana prior to that. So much for Amish people in Iowa making a decent appliance. We are disappointed in Amana. We had my grandmothers refrigerator when I was in high school. It must have been 35 years old and ran fine.

I have an Amana refrigerator that is less than 1 year old. It makes a very loud chattering noise. I have been trying to get it serviced since Jan 31. There is no certified service in Clatsop County. After 3 months of phone calls with Amana They told me to find my own. I finally called Sears and a tech came out. Now I have to pay all the costs and wait to be reimbursed. A nice dishwasher that was easy to install, looks good and has simple controls. Works well.

Our new oven came on time, installed easily and worked well. However, after its second self-clean cycle a round hole appeared in the finish of the floor of the oven. This hole is about one inch in diameter, with little cracks radiating outward from it. We called Amana, who sent a repairman to assess the issue. Subsequently, Amana shipped us a small tube of touch-up paint. This paint is a different colour than the ovens interior finish (black vs dark blue), stinks horribly for several days after application, and does not fill the hole even after three applications. A further call to Amana has yielded only the statement that there is nothing more they will do.By the way, the repair technician who came told us that its quite common for this kind of flaw to occur. Be advised, your nice looking appliance may start looking ugly soon after purchase, and youll be on your own! I have advised the appliance people at the local Home Depot to provide a warning to anyone wishing to buy an Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag or JennAir appliance.

Purchased a brand new PTAC for my apartment. Unit was professionally installed and vibrates so bad it rattles the grates inside the window the unit is mounted under. The unit is less the 30 days old and Amana claims I will have to pay for the diagnostics and labor to fix or replace the unit. Their claim is the unit cannot be returned after it is installed. The warranty is worthless if you get a defective unit, and you will be paying something to have it repaired when it breaks or if it even works correctly after installed.

Amana Top Load Washer W10740545A; W10740546A - This washer was purchased from Albert Lee Appliances, Bellevue, WA, on 3/31/2015 and installed on 4/7/2015. It failed to operate for the first time on 8/5/2015. Once the appliance is installed, the customers are on their own and Albert Lee turns over repair to a company named Appliance Hospital, Seattle, WA. It does not seem like a good business decision to not also be responsible for repair for how can they gauge what products reliably serve their customers?An Appliance Hospital technician arrived on 8/7/2015, pressed the same start button that we had been engaging and the washer worked. He left with the promise that a new controller would be ordered -- not received or installed as of this date. Thus, it appears that we are involved with an intermittent failure. This does not translate to reliability concerns on the part of Albert Lee Appliances, Appliance Hospital and especially Amana-Whirlpool. Apparently, none of these businesses are concerned with the stocking of an appropriate number of repair parts locally. I would recommend that other buyers not consider doing business with the above.

About a year ago, I purchased an Amana oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Granted, all three were on the economy end of the model spectrum. I have issues with all three. The oven door on after only 4 months started to bind opening and closing. Also, the plastic trim around the oven handle also is cracked and continues to get worse. I called Amana thinking I could get it repaired within the 1 yr. warranty. I was told that the oven door repair is not covered because it does not affect the functionality of the appliance. Really? I think the door has quite a bit to do with the functionality of an oven. Regarding the microwave, the door, also cracking off the plastic trim around the window part of the door. Thirdly, the dishwasher upper rack keeps falling off the track because end bracket on the left side often comes unsnapped. These design (or should I say misdesigned) elements of Amana products should not be occurring. Especially after only a few months of use. Oh, by the way, after my 1 yr. warranty expired a couple months ago, I received a card offering to extend my warranty. You have to be kidding! I have sold my home and I will not have to be living with these inferior Amana appliances for long. I will never purchase an Amana appliance ever again. I used to think made in America meant something.

Really like my new Amana High-Efficiency Modulating Variable Speed Gas Furnace (97% efficient). With fan in "on" position, it quietly circulates the air from the basement and throughout the house. I noticed the air conditioner does not kick in as often and the temperature is more consistent. No comparison to the old mid-efficiency furnace that was replaced, Amana is much better made and will reduce our Natural Gas costs.

We purchased an Amana washer on 6/22/13 and on 9/28/13 it quit working. We called the store where we purchased it and they told us that if we hadnt sent in the warranty, Amana would not stand behind it. This is our third washer in 5 years. Dont they make washers that last at least 5 years?

I purchased a washer March 2013 and November 2014 it wont even start. The plug and socket was checked and they are working. So now close to Christmas I have to purchase a new washer. I’ve had this dishwasher for over 8 years now and it’s very noisy. Also the interior is getting discoloured. It takes long for a normal cycle to come to a finish. Overall it does the job, but don’t run if youre trying to sleep.

Amana dryer, less than 2 years old, doesnt heat anymore. About a $300 repair for a $600 product. Do you remember your parents replacing appliances as often as we have to? I dont. Garbage in and here is your garbage out Amana/Whirlpool. At first when I called, I was told they dont even make the model even after I repeated several times off their own sticker. Then all of a sudden, they do make it once I mentioned that Home Depot may be selling knockoffs of their products. All of a sudden, oh yes, here it is. What a joke. I woke up this morning and found a crack 8 long left front corner on model number AER58330VAB0 Amana stove that I purchased 2009. Amana customer service had my purchase information in their computer. The contact customer service phone number 866 616 2664. I told the service rep nothing fell on the glass nor was there any misuse of any kind. Customer service states the stove is too dangerous to continue to operate and would not send me a replacement glass. I spoke to the Customer service manager whom was more irate than her subordinate and she kept repeating and stating she has a stove with 4 boys and hers is fine and never broke and it is 5 years old. I informed her the glass looked thin in this area and she stated because it is not under warranty she did not want to see the glass which should be examined and reviewed for product safety observation. She refused to help me and only documented that if I continue to use it she will be putting this information into my computer complaint record. The customer service manager actually hung up on me and would not allow me to speak to her supervisor and stated call the store where I purchased it from.

The Amana washer and dryer came with the apt we rented. The apt had been renovated with new cabinets and appliances. Only the washer and dryer are Amana. Both the washer and dryer (side by side) are full size. The washer takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to wash a normal size load. The dryer takes 2 hours to dry a normal size load. The maintainence people told me Amana machines are very slow and there is nothing they can do. My electric bill is almost $300 a month. I have had many washers and dryers over the years. Never have I experienced this. A normal size load should not take more than an hour. NEVER buy either the Amana washer or dryer. I am actually considering buying my own washer and dryer. Even though having these are part of my rent. I even tried washing a very small load and it still took over an hour to wash and an over an hour to dry in these awful appliances. BEWARE!!!

I bought it May 26 2017. l have a lot of trouble with it. They came and put a new part in on 28th of Aug 2017 because it was freezing everything. They said that should do it. Now 2 weeks later the same thing freezing everything again. Been trying to get them to take it back. They just keep passing me to someone else. So if you are looking to purchase a fridge dont buy a Amana. They are garbage and here is the model number ART316TFDW01 so think before you buy this fridge. l bought mine at the brick and they not helping me. lm still trying to get it replaced. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. We bought it in May of 2014 and to my dismay found that it did not fill on the rinse cycle. My clothes always had soap residue left on them. I read the manuals carefully and it did indicate that when manually adding softener, to let the rinse tub fill. It never did. We called the repairman who re-calibrated it, so supposedly it would work properly. He no sooner left when the red lock lid button started blinking. It was off-cycle again. It still does not fill. I have to go to another rinse drain cycle to rinse my clothes. My advice to anyone...DO NOT BUY AN AMANA WASHER, THEY ARE JUNK!!!

My microwave splatters really easy even when food is covered my a paper towel. It melts plastic easily. I have to pay closer attention when I use any plastic product. I like to microwave and leave while cooking. I cannot do this.

Not even 2 months ago, I bought an Amana Washer and Dryer at Lowe’s Sudbury Ontario. Five days ago the washer pump is running constantly and does not complete the cycle. I called customer service on Thursday December 4th 2014 and was told that the technician will come on Monday Dec 8th between 8am and 4pm. Since they did not give me a specific time, I have had to take a vacation day from my work. Monday morning I had a message on my voice mail that they had overbooked appointments for repair and they could not make it on Monday. I called customer service again and ask why suddenly the repair technicians were overbooked when I made an appointment through Amana 4 days prior. I was told they were sorry, but they could not do anything about it. The only thing they could do was to book another appointment for Thursday December11th, between 8 am and 4 pm. This means taking another vacation day to be at home, waiting and hoping they will not cancel again. It is not only that Amana is selling a washer that is broken after 6 weeks, but they are contracting to repair companies that are not reliable. Like always, the company is good till some problems occurs, then you see their true colors. If I could return the product, I would, but because the warranty to return a product is only 30 days, I am stuck with this washer and most importantly unreliable service department. I would never recommend this product to anyone. Not pleased at all!!!!DEC. 19, 2014 UPDATE: Today we are December 18, 2014 - 3 weeks after my first call to customer service of Amana. Finally the technician came today with the part. I was relieved that the problem would be solved finally. No such luck, the part the technician brought was the wrong one. He said that they had ordered the right part, but the company send them the wrong one. I called the customer service of Amana again, and ask for an explanation. They told me that mistakes happens. When I try to make the order for the right part, I was told that the part I need is back order, and it could take a couple of weeks or more to be delivered. I contacted Lowes in Sudbury ON, where I bought the Amana washer and dryer, looking for some solution, but the salesperson at Lowes told me that they cannot do anything to help me, because after 30 days, my chance to return the product had expired. There was nothing they could do, but it was up to me to contact Amana customer service. Over the years, I upgraded my appliances a couple of times, but never ever experienced such a crappy product and a lousy customer service like Amana. I cannot understand why a store like Lowes would be selling such junk. Now Christmas and New Year is coming and I have to go to the Laundromat. Because I live in a small village, the closest Laundromat is a 30 minutes drive. I have to go through all this aggravation, when I have a 2 months old new Amana washer in my basement, that does not work! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all... and There will be a Part 3.

I recently moved into a new apartment and the washer and dryer had already been used by the previous tenants. I used the washer with a small load on a cold cycle, and when the load was finished, my clothes were still DRY! Some of the clothes had wet spots but for the most part, my clothes looked like someone just splashed water on them. I had to redo the cycle on a larger load setting. My clothes came out FULL of someone elses lint.The dryer. Ohhh, the dryer. I then place my linty clothes in the dryer to see if they will be removed. I do a full 60 minute cycle. I open up the dryer when it is finished and my load is warm, but still damp! After 60 minutes on hot! I have to run the dryer 4 TIMES to dry a load of laundry. Needless to say, the landlord was called and he is replacing, but God, please dont let him buy another set of Amana washer and dryer. Please!!!

???? Amana Whirlpool Whirlpool Customer Care Center. The whole 4 MONTH experience to have our fridge replaced has been a joke. We have had 4 service technicians come out in order to decide we need the whole refrigerator replaced. Then it couldnt be shipped out for a whole month. Now it was supposed to be delivered today June 5th 2020 between 1:30-5:30pm. Only to be told that J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Couldnt deliver it when they scheduled to because the driver ran out of hours, not blaming the driver. I blame the company for putting too many on the load so it couldnt be delivered on a 3 day ahead scheduled appointment.It absolutely should not take 4 freaking months to get a refrigerator much less during COVID-19 putting my family in more Danger to have to go to the store more for our needs for a family of 6. Not to mention both my husband and daugthers medications have to be kept cold. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A WARRANTY ISSUE. AER6303MFS - My hope in ordering this range was to receive a reasonably-priced, decent quality product that would serve me well over the next several years. Granted, I was aware that this was by no means a top-of-the-line appliance, but upon researching it I found that it had good reviews overall and felt confident about purchasing it. Fast forward to last week, when my range was delivered on a Monday. Everything appeared to be working well upon arrival when I inspected it, and I was excited to have a nice-looking, well functioning appliance for my kitchen.On Friday evening, I decided to use my new oven for some baking. When I pulled the handle to open the door, the whole thing just fell into pieces. Little pieces of plastic and a strip of trim scattered on the floor. The door handle itself was hanging by a thread, and the glass panel front of the door was loose and I was afraid that it was also going to fall off. Needless to say, I did not do any baking that day. The following Monday, I called the Amana customer service line (they are not open on weekends) to report that my product was defective.After talking with them, and the appliance customer service line for the retailer where I bought the product, and being transferred to several different representatives over the course of 1.5 hours, the bottom line was that I was stuck with my defective range unless I wanted to pony up the cash for a brand new one. Amana is willing to repair the defects, which of course I am skeptical about because who knows what else is broken in that hunk of junk? Oh well, I guess Im just the sucker in this situation. I would not recommend this product or any other Whirlpool product (that includes Amana and Maytag) as they are clearly not willing to stand behind the quality of their products (or lack thereof).

My washer is still under warranty and I called a service representative. It was supposed to be dispatched and serviced today. The call was never made and I had to make several phone calls to reschedule. In the meantime Im having to spend an enormous amount of money at the laundromat. Amana is not giving me a refund for this huge inconvenience.

I have had this microwave for about 32 years. It is still working. Doesn't look too good because of age. Wish I could find another one that would give this type of service.

I was given an expensive (about $300/$400) Amana microwave last year. One year and one day exactly, it just quit. It wouldnt work, nothing. My daughter called the repair and they said theyd send out a repairman. He called to confirm the appointment and the first words were, Will this be credit, check or cash? I called the Amana company and they told me the cost would be $129 for the man to come to the house and diagnose the problem. Anything else would be extra as the warranty had expired (one day before the machine stopped working). For less than the service call, we got another brand of microwave that works just as well. If it goes out in a year, it will still be cheaper than anything Amana offers. To top this whole mess off, yesterday, about a month after the equipment failure, I got a standard form letter from Amana urging me to buy an extended warranty and the basic one year was about $60. This would have done me no good as the microwave was already broken and out of warranty. I sent a letter last night to the Amana customer service. I got another canned reply today about how good the warranty was and how sorry they were, but they couldnt apply any warranty to the old one because it had lapsed. This is an outrageous example of the planned obsolescence now in use. Amana used to be a top company up there with Maytag. My first microwave was an Amana Radarange. I bought it when they first came out and it lasted about 10 years. Now, this piece of junk that was expensive to begin with only lasted one year and one day. Amana should offer a complete refund to customers that have these problems. Ill never buy Amana again. And since Amana is now owned by Whirlpool/Maytag, Ill probably never buy them again either. How sad that American quality has gone down the drain just so the big companies can get richer at our expense.

I purchased an Amana Refrigerator Model; #ASS2222FEQ with Serial#1156842NA on 3/25/2008. On 7/13/2009, second incident of freezer not working in a refrigerator not yet 1-1/2 years old. I called 877-342-1446. Frantic that I was going to lose a freezer of food, I was advised by Kim that a repairman would arrive at 7/15 between 8am-12n. I called 800-628-5782, which was another number I had for Amana and spoke with Jamila. After explaining the problem, Jamila advised me that there was no service call request in the computer, so she initiated and advised that a repairman would be here on Wednesday, 7/15/09. I did tell Jamila that a second freezer failure in less than a year is totally unacceptable.7/15/09, a repairman arrived right around 8am, discovered some problem with paperwork; I called 877-342-1446 and spoke with Mark, who was able to advise me that I had called the manufacturer and the extended warranty numbers advised are separate and do not have shared computer programs. Mark said that he could take care of it, gave me a confirmation number to the repairman and was going to Fax sheets to the local office.On 7/16/2009, the local repair business called me to say that Maytag Dependability Plus was refusing to pay the bill because they authorized another company for the repair and that company called after the first repairman had left. Amana Dependability Plus will not change the work order from A&E Factory Service (who did not come or perform any service) to Convenient Appliance Service, who came and rendered service. Jim, at the 877-3542-1446, would not give me the names of any supervisor nor would he transfer me to anyone else. He said no one there has any more authority than he had. I then called the 800-628-5782 and asked for the name of the president of company. Lisa did not know the name of the Amana president, and said all she could do was to transfer me to Dependability Plus, because I have an extended warranty, endless, repetitive cycle. I advised all parties that I had not realized I was speaking with two different departments, but since the service was Ok’d, I do not understand the big deal to cancel the work order to A&E Factory Service and transfer it to Convenient Appliance Service. Oh no, this can’t possibly be done!Not only do I apparently have a faulty piece of equipment, this is a company dedicated to providing customer frustration. This could have been so easily solved, but agents have dug their heels in, and will be damned if they will help the customer. This is the very last Whirlpool/Amana product I will purchase. Remember, this is the second time the freezer stopped freezing in less than 1-1/2years. Customer service is a joke and we wonder why jobs go overseas? I am stuck with a $97 bill, my freezer problem is still unresolved and I have wasted an entire day. My B/P is soaring. I regret ever purchasing an Amana product and certainly an extended warranty.

I bought an Amana washer from Best Buy in January 2015 which has a 1 year warranty. I realized it doesnt rinse on any cycle. It runs water in to rinse but as soon as it fills and stops running water in, it runs the water out and spins. I have called the # for it to be repaired but we are still waiting for a repair man. I just hope it will be repaired before the warranty runs out. Dont know what else to do.
