My French door fridge has not been cooling (top, not freezer) for months. Set at 34, stays at 40 +! 5 service calls. It is, in my opinion, defective. Would not buy LG again. Never had problems with previous brands - NEVER!

Thank God we got extended warranty. Freezer not defrosting, so much frost it stops ice maker, and completely stopped cooling. Repairman blamed us for not shutting it tight and opening too often. I dont believe he is right. This is our first LG. But Not our first freezer on bottom. Would not buy LG ever again.

We bought an LG refrigerator and the doors quit closing. Because we had a warranty they fixed that. Since we bought the refrigerator the ice maker will not spit out ice. We bought an OTR LG microwave which cost $650. It is not user-friendly because no matter how many times you push a button you have to push it JUST right for it to work. We bought a LG double oven. Within the warranty period the plastic glass broke on the control panel. We have been waiting for months on a new part. They finally sent the new part and it was the wrong one. I think we are done with LG products.

I purchased an LG microhood and almost immediately, the stove lights melted and burned through the plastic covers. Unfortunately, I didnt report it until after the year warranty was up, but when I did report it, they still wouldnt stand behind their product. I googled the problem and others were having the same problem. Any other appliance manufacturer would have stood behind their product, but not LG. The guy in customer service said I was the only one with this problem. I told him to do an internet search on this and see all the others with the same problem and he laughed at me and hung up. Yes, he actually laughed and hung up saying there was nothing they could do. This is clearly a manufacturers defect, plain and simple. Also, the plastic clip holding the filter in broke while I was changing a filter. Also, I will have to replace the light bulb covers every time they melt through as the plastic is burnt and cracked and can fall into food. The light bulbs blow quickly. Buying this product has been a disaster. I will never buy another LG product again, just based on the way I was treated by customer service alone.

The LG washer and dryer are the best ones I ever had, they wash and dry great and had very few problems with them. Have them for 11 years, I would buy the same brand if I needed a new pair. They also fit a lot of clothes with no problem.

I’ve known about LG for a long time and I like the door within door feature of the refrigerator as well as the bridge section with the long, narrow door. You could put something real wide in the fridge. The quality is good even though I had an issue to begin with. I travel for work so it’s hard for me to know when I’m gonna be home. Scheduling was hard but when I was home for a week and did schedule, I never got a callback from the technician on when they were gonna come out. It was dropped so, it was another month again until I was able to call and find out what was going on. Then it was still a few days later. But when they came out, they did a great job. So, I had no complaints and I’m gonna be buying one for my new house.

7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. This phone is just over 2 years old. I am so very disappointed in the LG BRAND and will make no more purchases by LG. I also will not refer this product due to my bad experiences.

We purchased refrigerator, microwave, range on August of 2011. Each of the above appliance has had more than two repairs done in the course of 4 years. I contacted LG and also the BBB. LG will only offer an extended warranty, but refuses to say for how long. I have had the same washer and dryer for over ten years and never had a repair done to them. My Kenmore refrigerator was over 20 years old and worked, but I decided to remodel and get new appliance. Will never ever buy LG again. They do not stand behind their products and they only give you the run around. An appliance should not have to be repaired this many time. I believe all three items are cheaply made and will continue to give me problems even after the warranty runs out.

Within a few months of purchasing a top of the line LG French Door refrigerator, the unit began icing up. After multiple repair calls, and replacement of various parts, the situation only got worse. Ive purchased many top of the line brands over time - never have I experienced such a poorly made product. After five years of trying to get the LG fridge to work, we had to finally give up. If youre looking for a good fridge, start with KitchenAid or Whirlpool. Walk past LG and keep on walking. Weve talked to others and have heard similar complaints. The L in LG is for Lemon.

I purchased the LG Smart Drum top-loading washing machine a few years ago.
I purchased the LG Smart Drum top-loading washing machine a few years ago. The clothes come out very wrinkled. I now put almost all my laundry in the dryer; it helps remove the severe wrinkling. I used to just hang clothes up after washing them. Now it takes more energy: my own, and the electricity. I just finished ironing a top which I have had for well over a decade, used to just remove it, nice and clean, from my beloved Kenmore front loader, and hang it up. This was the case with all my clothes. I purchased my machine at The Brick, had to leave the country for a few months, and when I returned it was too late to have the unit replaced. Cant really fault The Brick, but they should know these machines are not-so-great. I have read the other reviews on this site, and my experience is not as truly awful as many others. But I will stay well away from LG in the future, and do more homework before purchasing.

I bought a LG French door refrigerator (Model: LFX28978ST/00) on 8/27/10 from Home Depot. It retailed for $2399. LG only gives a 1 years parts and labor on most of the unit. I purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot. In less than 2 years, the icemaker in the door when out. The extended warranty replaced, no charge. I have now had the unit 7 years and 4 months and the cooling system is going bad. Only the compressor is under warranty (10 year). To fix, Im looking at over $1000 and $700 of that is just labor. This was my first LG product and it WILL BE MY LAST. Never again!

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. About 5 years ago the wiring in the back of the dryer started smoking. Thankfully we were home otherwise the house would have burned down. I ended up cutting the burnt wires and splicing in new wires to fix. Never again LG!!!

Kenmore, No name (GE?) from Sams club, Maytag, Cabrio lasted longest. That 10 years warranty big sticker on LG - like a bad joke. And what is that pile of sticky smelly stuff under machine? I had the refrigerator for approximately without any problems. Style, price and capacity were the primary reasons I chose this particular refrigerator brand. In addition, the refrigerator was an appropriate items for the decor theme in the kitchen. Accessible water and ice from the door of the refrigerator, ample storage space for items placed in the refrigerator, blending of the refrigerator with the kitchen decor, ease of cleaning the inside and exterior surfaces and the quietness in the operation of the mechanical parts represent features I liked about the refrigerator. Shortly thereafter, issues developed with the ice maker that included water dripping from the ice container into the dispensing tray that eventually caused severe damage to the wood floor. In addition, maintaining an appropriate cooling temperature fluctuated, requiring a service technician attention.

We purchased a LFXS30726S French Door Refrigerator Freezer approximately 18 months ago. On October 23, 2017 the refrigerator seemed to be getting warm. Changes to the temperature setting did not improve the issue. We called the LG customer service number on October 24 and walked through a diagnostic process over the phone. LG said a repair would be fully covered under warranty. No cost to the customer. It was determined there was an issue with the sealed system (compressor/evaporator) and would need a certified technician to come out to our home. Received a case reference number: ** and then the mess began. I live in the metro NYC area in CT and no technicians on their approved list wanted to do this repair. LG was unable to get a technician setup that day. Escalated the issue to Joan in their scheduling team (executive services). After five days they found a technician. When this company called, they said LG would only pay $100 and we would owe the balance which could be $800+. We called LG and they indicated it’s a covered repair with an approval number: **. Then, the phone tag began with the service company saying that approval maximizes out at a lesser expense and LG saying its approved. I three way called them both and LG said its approved and service company said not for the right amount. Apparently the fixed fee reimbursement is too low for many companies. Now on my third company --- Akosemi. Lets see what happens. Its November 7 and still not a repaired refrigerator/freezer. Lost all my food. LG makes a poor product with awful service. The whole experience is terrible. Never buy another LG as long as I live.

I have had less than acceptable experiences with this fridge since we purchased it Feb. 27, 2012 from Home Depot. Soon after our purchase, it started making really loud grinding and lawn mower noises. They would last for a week, and then stop. At first, we thought it may be normal, but as the problem persisted, I called to have someone help me understand what was happening. They said it was buildup of frost, and explained what to do. Long story short, it kept happening, and finally our freezer drawer stopped suctioning. Someone came out, and everything seemed to be ok, and now it is happening again. Freezer door is not closing on its own and soon we will have the same problem. I called LG they want almost $400 to send someone out! Last time I had to send my receipt, the printed order from Home Depot and had several case numbers just to get it repaired. We have a fridge in our garage that is 20 years old and it works perfectly fine, but has rust on the doors and shows its age - which is why we bought a new product, supposedly better, but very disappointing. I will not purchase another LG fridge again.

Updated on 11/08/2019: Have had an ongoing problem with a compressor on an LG refrigerator that is 5 years old and no it out. When the service tech came out on 10/24, the unit was eligible to be fixed free of charge, (which they told me would cost hundreds of dollars). When I complained to LG via ConsumerAffairs, they posted this response on 11/07. When I called them today to inquire about getting it fixed free, they said that now that is was November, we no longer qualified since it was now more than 5 years old, (by 7 days since it was manufactured in October of 2014). Why would they tell me this and then recant it? See screenshot below.... Beware of LG Refrigerators and LG in total, I have two of these refrigerators and their TVs.Original Review: The compressor on our LG refrigerator went out after just 5 years, although its under warranty, it doesnt cover Labor which turn out is several hundred dollars. In addition, it takes weeks to get the parts, not fun when your fridge is down for several weeks. I have two LG refrigerators that we spent more than $2,000 for each....terrible investment. Beware of LG refrigerators.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.

This design of this dishwasher is a nightmare. Ive actually read the manual on how to load this dishwasher thinking maybe I was doing something wrong. There is nowhere in the dishwasher where plates stand up. The tines are awkwardly placed, and continually fall down, so maybe a few bowls can go in, but they land flat on their back, pointing up when tines collapse (not exactly conducive to cleaning). Its as though the bottom rack is made to handle a couple of large pots and maybe two or three bowls. The top rack is also strangely designed and again has very little capacity to handle many dishes or glasses. When the bottom rack has dishes in it and I open it, the weight on the door causes the whole machine to start falling out of the wall. Ive probably owned ten dishwashers and can honestly state that I cant even rate this as working. Im literally having it replaced and throwing it away if I cant get Home Depot to take it back... Its less than a month old but I just cannot stand it. Ill pay twice for installation but it will be worth it because otherwise Ill be washing everything by hand. I also bought LG refrigerator and micro... nothing special about them, but I guess I should be grateful they work.

Bought a French door May 2017 from Costco, compressor failure happened after 2 years. After surviving without a fridge for 2 weeks as a family of 5, with 3 young growing boys, the compressor was finally replaced. It was explained that LG built these fridges knowing the compressors were not compatible and that they would fail. That compressor repair last 3 months... I have spoiled food 2 times thanks to this LG nightmare. We finally replaced this fridge after the 2nd failure as we need a dependable fridge. I have submitted for food spoilage reimbursement multiple times but LG is refusing to reimburse me due to the purchase receipt copy provided from Costco doesn’t have the ‘Costco logo’ on it. WTHECK?! We’re now a whirlpool, I will never do business with LG again. Worst experience of my life and I will be pursuing any lawsuit for these defective refrigerators.

They suggested I call LG again to see if I could get an ETA or a replacement. I did this, and after a lot of stonewalling, I was told I was out of luck that I would have to wait on parts and that there was no ETA. Extremely unhappy is a understatement! Started rusting after a couple of years surrounding the bleach dispenser and now at just 5 years old it is continuing to rust around the entire washer to the soap dispenser. RUST! Rust around bleach tray, lid lock, cabinet top edge, top at every penetration, and leaking, brown rust water from the lid hinges, then along back edge of lid. Rust began appearing less than three years after purchase but that is only when we noticed it erupting on outer surface. Opening the lid shows that it was probably rusting after first use. Besides all the cabinet parts and pieces rusting, it appears that most, if not all the internal screws, nuts, and washer holding it together are also severely rusted and especially concerning, the arms that the tub hang on are well rusted and three of four mounting washers for these arms (they support the wash tub, liner, and motor) are so severely rusted that I expect the supports to fail any day. It looked pretty when new and it was expensive but now, in less than three years, its junk! A warning to everyone to beware of ALL LG appliances.

I purchased the LG french door fridge in the summer of 2016. Since then, the compressor stopped functioning after 2 years. I spoke with LG and they were no help and had to pay to service people to figure it out. This past month weve had an awful smell in our kitchen whose source could not be identified. It was only yesterday we figured out it was emanating from the fridge. We checked online for similar complaints and found someone who located it at the back of the fridge. We had to remove the lower panel and clean out these trays filled with thick yellow residue. The trays do not come out so we had to use chopsticks and an entire pack of clothes to clean it out... This is unacceptable to us and we are at a loss as to what to do with this fridge. STAY CLEAR OF THIS FRIDGE!!!

I’ve loved my LG till it just stopped cooling. Lost everything in fridge and freezer. LG’s customer service is horrible. One rep said I just needed to replace the water filter. Waiting for repairman that I found (they supplied a list and all the phone numbers were LG’s main number).

Bought a LG washer. It leaked. I have 2 different warranties. One with LG and one with Leons. Nobody wants to replace this machine. It is not even a year old. My insurance company has even said not my fault and paid me for floor damages to the amount of $8314.48 plus my $1,000 deductible. But I still have a broken machine. Never buy LG or shop at Leons furniture. Their warranty cost me an extra $199.95 on top of the machines cost. Tell me what good is warranty if nobody stands by it.

My french door refrigerator Model #LMXS30776S was purchased in May 2015 and in July it started to make a terrible noise and I called LG and they said most likely there was ice on the fan. A few weeks later it started turning off and I would have to restart it. I called LG and they said I needed to get a technician to look into it. I had someone come out who said I needed new sensors and a new evaporator cover and it would take 3 days to get the parts in. 4 days later I called and they told me the parts are not available and I had to call LG directly to get the parts.I called LG. They quickly set me up with a $300 extended warranty repair plan and set up a technician to come out. This guy also said I needed new sensors and fans. One week later, they could not get the parts and said they were not available. The warranty company refunded my money minus $100, saying that parts were not available. Based on CA Civil Code Section 1793.03, parts must be made available within 7 years of any major appliance. I just spoke to a supervisor in the corporate office who after 30 minutes on hold said that the parts are available and she is transferring me back to the warranty repair company to get set back up on the plan. LG has been incredibly awful with this entire situation and I have heard from their own technicians that they rarely honor a warranty even within the first year and said to never purchase an LG appliance. I agree.

The machine stops and fills with water. Service people are useless. We just bought this machine a few months ago. Now my wife and I have no choice but to do our laundry at a Laundromat. Bought a supposedly top of the line washer dryer LG Tromm set in 2006. Washer broke down, as it was out of warranty, paid for diagnostic repair from company referred by LG and was quoted more than $1000.00, so decided to buy a newer LG washer model only to find out that installers wont install as the newer models stacking kits will not match the older models. LG has a lot of discontinued products, one of them is this WM2277HS. Parts are not even available. So when one breaks down, it is not repairable, and instead of just replacing just one appliance, you have to buy both the washer and dryer even if the other one is not broken, as none of the current models will match with the older appliance, specially the stackable models. Customer service is very poor, no one seems to know anything. So I suppose, LG in a way make their products not last long enough and then will not have parts available, or repairs will cost more than a new machine.

I purchased my LG top load washer almost 2 years ago and for about the last 6-9 months, had nothing but problems. The machine shakes violently when in spin mode, will get the UE signal 1/2 way through the wash and then restart the wash ALL OVER AGAIN! As a result of the machine going in and out, I had to lug clothes to the coin operated machine, which by way, is around $20.00 each visit! Ive had to make TWO service calls now and working on the THIRD! Im so fed-up that Im going to look into purchasing another machine this weekend! LG should make this wrong right and refund our money BACK!

The service technicians have been great, but we do not have the receipt and they cannot submit for reimbursement. Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

They send a tech to check the machine. His name DAVID **. I will never forget this name. Why? This tech is a LG house. He told me, Oh! Pump is not working. I will order the part. Ill come back and replace it, so like I said before everything looks nice although this guy is honest so far. He came back ten days later. I wasnt in home. My wife let him do the job. He spend 15min to replace the pump. Wow this guy is awesome. Finished fast and good worked supported. In the following days we know if something is wrong with the machine, softener stays doesnt go away. We call LG again. They said if a tech come to our house again we will pay for it, I totally refused to pay anything if we still have our warranty. Anyways they send another guy from APEX APPLIANCE SERVICE, GUESS WHAT HAPPEN NEXT. This second tech find out the LG guy never replace the water pump and LG tech DAVID ** sabotage our machine cutting the wires. This way our machine will never show codes anymore.Apex tech pass the information about what happen to LG and again when I called LG they dont have any info about it. Looks like they cover each other. I dont know exactly. ANYWAYS, if I describe all terrible time what happens to get my machine fixed will take me more than 24 hrs to do it, anyways if you already purchased any LG items youre **... My wife and I are in our 50s and the only ones who use the fridge. It also freezes our vegetables and the temperature settings dont work well at all. Either the fridge is too warm or too cold. Today was the last straw when I noticed that the freezer trays are showing signs of rust. The design (bottom freezer drawer) is also a very inefficient and dumb design. We bought our LG French Door (door in door) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October of 2014 |Model#LMXS30776S/00| when we built our home (along with an LG dishwasher, stove, microwave and washer and dryer). At $3,999.00, we really hoped it would last without problems. Unfortunately I didnt read any reviews before purchasing ALL LG appliances... what a mistake! On September 18, 2017, I came home from work to find that everything in my refrigerator was barely cool and everything in the freezer had completely melted! My brother-in-law is an electrician and works on appliances so I called him to check it out. After determining that the compressor had gone bad, we called LG to order the part. We spoke to someone who transferred us to tech support. When we requested the part, they said they needed an LG certified technician authorization code and we couldnt order the part because my brother-in-law was not a certified LG repairman. They gave me the numbers of 3 certified technicians that were over 100 miles away because there were none in my area. After calling them to come diagnose the problem so LG would make good on the 10-year compressor warranty, they refused to come out because... and I quote... we dont like to work on LG appliances because they are a pain and good luck finding someone to work on it. Not to mention it wouldve been upwards of $500.00 for them to travel that distance just to verify that it was actually the compressor when we already knew that. So we called LG back and told them we couldnt get an LG repairman to come look at it but that we knew the problem so could we please just order the part. They were extremely rude to both myself and my brother-in-law and would not even let us order the part. So I paid almost $4000.00 for this refrigerator that lasted less than 3 years, and I have no right to access the parts even though the LG service centers in my area will not come to my home and diagnose the problem. We went on Sears Parts Direct and found the compressor for $250.00 thank goodness and my brother-in-law is installing it. I still find it ridiculous that I have to pay out of pocket for a part that is supposedly covered under warranty... but I will gladly pay that just to not have to deal with talking to them on the phone again. If you buy a super expensive LG thinking it will last, think again. And if the fact that the parts are covered under warranty gives you peace of mind and they will make good on the warranties... dont count on it. Moral of the story... dont buy an LG anything. Fingers crossed that my other appliances last longer than this one did.

Have this machine x five years. Every year I have to do some type of repair. It has a 10 year warranty but nothing is ever covered by the warranty. This is the biggest fraud in the appliance business. I called LG to repair my machine that is neither washing nor drying, they sent a technician the cost was $300 down payment, never heard from them again. I called again the price was $411, which will cover one year repair minus $100 for coming out... This they insisted must be paid via credit card before they can come. They sent a tech out that was almost 4 weeks ago, no one has returned. I called only to get the runaround. No one will take responsibility. I cannot get any answer, cant get my money back and my machine is still not fixed. Company number (!) is High End Appliance $300. We purchased a Kenmore Model 79551833412 side by side refrigerator that was manufactured for Sears by LG. This units compressor failed after 17 months. I came to learn there was a class action lawsuit filed against LG for this same issue which unfortunately was dismissed. Because my mother in law is 88 years old and the estimated cost of repair was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator we chose to purchase her a new refrigerator rather than wait for it to be repaired. Sears says their warranty is only one year but the Sears rep said that the manufacturer provides a longer warranty on the compressor but labor would not be included. I contacted LG to see if they would do anything for us. They said that our recourse was with Sears so they wont stand behind their product. Stay away from LG refrigerators.

If the color is fading or scratch on the paint or the glass of the oven gets dirty, this is a cosmetic issue. If the glasses broke besides being a cosmetic issue has a protective function. It has gray lettering on a black background. I called LG to see if there was a backlight that wasnt working, and was told that there is no backlight. I purchased my LG Refrigerator French Door LFXC24726S on 9/5/15 from Best Buy. This refrigerator is used seasonally from June through September each year and winterized. In July of 2017 or after about 6 months of actual usage Error FF (indicating a fan problem) appeared and the refrigerator ceased to cool. A local repairman (not LG) replaced two fans with no improvement. Since an LG repairman was unavailable on a timely basis I was forced to buy a replacement refrigerator since this is a seasonal rental home. I was able to get an authorized LG repairman in late August who with consultation with LG Tech Support diagnosed a probable Main Control Board issue since the board has been updated to correct a known internal fan icing issue. No repairs have been under warranty so after $300 for fan replacement and $500 for board replacement the refrigerator still produced Error FF and does not function.I would gladly join a class action suit because this is simply unacceptable. Foreign quality that is being sold to the American public by our big box stores. Furthermore, I have been unable to talk to a technical representative at LG myself getting bounced between the standard 800 customer service and the LG parts distributor. My authorized LG repair service indicates that LG is frequently difficult to deal with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY LG!

For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died we decided to get an LG dryer to match our LG washer which we have had no issues with. We purchased the dryer from Home Depot and since it was brand new it has melted MANY items, mostly coats and blankets. I have wasted tons of money replacing damaged items and and scared it will result in a fire. At first I just thought it was because the dryer was fancier than I was used to and I needed to learn how to used its technology but after learning the ins and outs it has continued to happen time and time again. Now I just air dry a lot of items to avoid them burning and melting which is a huge pain. It even has melted several infant Muslin blankets which is not what I would consider a material sensitive to heat. I’ve honestly just been avoiding contacting customer service knowing it will just be a hassle but I am beyond frustrated and after looking up see there is a class action lawsuit for LG dryers catching fire so I plan to contact them ASAP to get resolution. In the future I will go back to my tried and true Maytag.

A new machine was needed after 15 years of washing 4 athletic boys & a construction working husbands clothes! Our trusty Maytag front-load machines were going out. I wanted to buy new Maytag machines but I got talked into LG by the salesperson & fellow customers. I will just state now how truly sorry I am for being swayed into that decision because it was 1 of the worst choices Ive made. I cannot stand this machine! Im not exaggerating when I say my clothes come out of the machine dirtier than when I put them in! The clothes dont even get covered in water! I know theyre environmentally friendly, but even when you use the water plus option there should not enough water to get all the clothes wet! I have to physically get my arms in the machine & agitate the clothes.I called the store we purchased them from and of course since they are used they wont return them. I call LG, whose customer service is in a foreign country and the guy proceeds to tell me in a heavy accent that I dont know how to use the washing machine. Its user error. He didnt believe me that the clothes werent washing and continued to argue with me that I didnt read the manual. I asked what we could do to solve this problem & he told me theres nothing they can do. LG... Lifes good... NOT if you own an LG appliance! Cheap Plastic part. I have a three year old LFXS29766S LG Refrigerator. About 90 days ago we scheduled a service call with LG to replace the water and ice dispenser assembly ACQ85430259 which had cracks and other damage to the plastic. This was not warranty, we paid for the part and the service. About a week and a half ago we noticed that some of the plastic had crumbled away again for no reason we know of. We are an older couple with no children or teenagers that might be destructive. We called the infamous LG support number and at first were told that the part would be covered by the warranty on the part, not the warranty on the refrigerator. Since then we have been getting the run around. Phone calls and explanation in each call. Three days ago we got a customer service rep in Ohio and not Bangladesh. She said she understood and would expedite the situation and someone would call us. Never happened. I called again and got Bangladesh again and after painful explanation she said the part was out of the 90 day warranty by 5 days so we would have to pay for the replacement. I explained that I would never pay for anything from LG again. Instead I will post pictures of the problem all over the internet to make people aware of doing business with LG.

It started making a loud grinding noise in the spin cycle, so I called LG directly to see what I should do. Someone from their technical department asked me to start the spin cycle so he could hear the noise. He quickly diagnosed it as bad bearings. Since the machine was out of warranty, I was transferred to a different department, thinking I was still talking with LG. I was talking to Assurant Warranty, who LG uses to provide repair service when their appliance is out of warranty. However, I wasnt informed that I was no longer working with LG which I believe is very deceptive. I signed a repair contract for 3 payments of $95 each on Sept 28, 2017 to begin the repair. A local repair company called Authorized Appliance (would not recommend them either) sent a technician on Oct 2nd. He also turned on the spin cycle, listened to the noise and confirmed what LG had told me over the phone was bad bearings. He performed his diagnosis in 10 minutes. Within 2 weeks, I received a call from the warranty service stating they had received the technicians diagnosis and authorized the repair. On Oct 28, 2017 the second payment of $95 was charged to my credit card. Early in November, I called the repair company to be told they were still waiting on 1 more part to be delivered which was the drum for the washer. On Nov 13, I called the warranty company to hear from them what the delay in fixing my machine was all about. They were unable to reach the repair company due to a large volume of morning calls and asked me to try them later in the afternoon, but assured me they were staying on top of this. I finally reached the repair company on Nov 21st only to be told that Assurant had canceled the drum order because it was no longer available. The drum has a lifetime warranty and to be told the part isnt available on a 7 year old washer is completely a rip off by LG. During the same phone call with the repair company, they told me that Assurant informed me of the decision on Nov 2nd and had already refunded me and that I had cashed the check. Both were lies so now I know Im really getting the run-around. At this point, I called LG directly twice, and spoke to a final person who said my complaint was being directed to the special customer service department of LG for a decision. I was told that I would hear back from them within 3 to 5 business days. I confirmed that Wed, Nov 29th was the last day I would hear from them. That was yesterday!! I will call them today and demand some answers how they are going to correct this problem. By the way, I was charged $100 (which will not be refunded) for the 10 minute service call. DO NOT BUY A PRODUCT FROM LG ELECTRONICS, INC.

I bought a LG Refrigerator with Linear compressor on 2015 and last May 12th it stop cooling, I called LG service support and they told me one Technician will be checking the unit on May 25th, I had to be off from my job 1/2 day and the guy never came, I called LG again asking what happens with the tech and they has no explanation why the tech never went to check the unit, they asked me again to wait 3 to 4 more days so they can try to find another repair shop locally and suggested if I can get one close to my area they will pay for the parts and labor.I found one repair shop with a open appointment for the next day and after I called LG to confirm the appointment they denied the Sears shop because they has to pay an additional amount for their first visit, I had to wait 4 days and today called again and they says I have to wait 3 more days because one of their shops rejected the order??? This is ridiculous. Why customers has to be dealing with this kind of incompetence, 2 weeks without a refrigerator with children at home and with this pandemic forcing us to go to the stores every day is not what I was expecting from the LG company. 2 weeks later and still I have no solution for repair this refrigerator.

Ordered an LG fridge in December because its the only one that will fit in the space I have. Suppose to be delivered on Jan 19, 2019... The night before I got a call saying it wont be delivered because they dont have it. After many calls and the runaround I found out it was a system error and I will get my new fridge in a week. Still no fridge and still getting the runaround from customer service saying I shouldnt be calling them, Home Depot should... This is the worst company to deal with and I would love to return this fridge before it ever gets here. If it ever does! I am running a family of four and working full time with a beer fridge lent to me by Home Depot! Totally ridiculous, and very unacceptable. They are offering no compensation for my time or inconvenience of not having a fridge I ordered and paid for already!!!

Im also having a problem with my washer! I have been trying to deal with LG, but even after talking to the supervisor with LG, they wont send the warranty part to my house. They want us to pay for labor of fixing the washer, even though on the one-page warranty, it says nothing about having to have a technician install the warranty part. I let the company know I will continue to complain about LG to all that I know including Facebook and Twitter! I paid $2500.00 for a washer and dryer. I expect to not have problems with it, and when I do, I want help to my questions and I want them to follow their warranty page they give their customers. I will never purchase a LG product again because the way I have been treated!

Purchased a LG model LSXS26366 at Home Depot. Delivery came 3 days later with a damaged door handle. Depot guy came to my house to replace the handle. Next day we loaded up the new refrigerator with loads of new food. Went to freezer and found all the frozen stuff soft. Door control center has an error code. Open owners manual and follow the written directions only to find out that phone number is no longer a working number. Called LG customer service. Someone can call me back the next day and no they will not replace the rotted food. No service is available tonight. They will have someone call to make a repair appointment. Called Home Depot to have them retrieve this refrigerator and issue credit. Do not purchase LG appliances. This was just a horrible mistake. Won’t happen again.

When in spin cycle washer moves all over. They have come out 1st year more than a dozen times to repair. They have changed numerous parts to no avail. All repairman say that is my ceramic tile floor which 90% of the country has in their washroom. I still dont understand. I told them the previous front loader did not have this problem. They asked me if I bought extended warranty. I said it should be good from get go, brand new and installed by Home Depot. Went back to home depot to discuss further no avail. Either they said contact LG which I had done! When speaking with LG numerous times each time they were completely unprofessional rude. I finally explained Lemon law which when they said to me to screw off, I own this piece of crap which no one stand behind. I choke it up too. I will never ever buy a single LG product, even if they were the last company to produce anything. Stay away. Every time I see someone near their product I tell them to run. Poor customer service, poor quality product. I call them LIFES GARBAGE!!! So my unit is 2 years old now and because of the movement of my machine it destroyed the new floor. Remind you all techs said my floor to blame and also my walls. Thank god I keep door closed when my son is here so he doesnt get crushed by this garbage. Oh I spent $1200 plus hours lost while techs were here which was min 4 hours x 12 times on this machine. STAY AWAY FROM LG PRODUCTS PLEASE.

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

Ive had my LG Front Load washer for several years. It is horrible and always has been. My clothes smell and Ive tried every product to get rid of the smell. My white clothes are always dingy regardless of what I do. Now the bleach cup is always full of water after every load of clothes is washed. Upon washing another load, when the dispenser drawer is pulled out, the water in the bleach cup comes streaming out. I barely ever use bleach, so it cant be a rust problem. I will be glad when this horrible machine dies. Ill for sure get something else and not an LG product. My LG dishwasher isnt worth a hoot either. Never again will I purchase LG products.

Called Tarheel Appliance and Repair and was quoted $70 for someone to come out plus the cost of repairing the microwave which was going to put the cost well over $100! Tarheel Appliance suggested that I call LG back to see if they would extended the warranty since the microwave was just out of warranty. I was told that the warranty would not be extended!! One year and one day after we purchased this LG dishwasher LDF7810BB at Home Depot, the motor went out. Sorry! Its out of warranty. We traveled extensively during that one year and there were only two people in the house, so it was being used approx. every other day max, bringing it to maybe 100 wash cycles at the most and the motor went out? Home Depot could do nothing. LG corporate in Huntsville, AL would not even give a discount on the new motor which cost (back in 2008) around $275 plus labor. It still doesnt clean properly and Ive done all the maintenance they recommend. We even have a water softener system so it isnt the water. Ill never buy another LG product and I warn everyone who will listen (even strangers in Home Depot) not to buy LG products. Ill be happy to hear they are out of business.

Purchased an LG LMV1813ST/02 microwave on 26 June 2013 for about $250. This over the stove model stopped heating on 9 Nov 2015. The warranty was 1 year, except magnetron that was 10 years. Contacted LG and went through steps to restart MV. Was then told it needed a tech to repair it. I was given two local authorized LG shops. One did not work on microwaves, and the other wanted a bench charge of $95 plus parts and labor to fix it even though I dismounted it and brought it to their facility! It is almost cheaper to buy another microwave. I equipped my home with all LG products. I hope they did a better job on the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove. I am sorry I went with LG.

I had a an old Kenmore dishwasher that lasted some 20+ years. It worked great but after so much use (twice a day!), I had to replace this n that on it but overall it was awesome! The end came when we were no longer able to buy the electronic board to operate (most of the repairs/replacement we did on our own, following the schematics and watching Youtube video instructions). Alas, finally, it died and the search was on for a new dishwasher. I read many reviews and settled on the LG. That was my first mistake. The LG was installed 6.18.18 (model #LDT7808ST). I was very excited to have a new, modern dishwasher after all these years! It was sadly short lived. Just a few short months later, I was sick of hearing the bing bing bing that goes off to alert the user of escaping steam. Except there wasnt any escaping steam. When the repairman came out ($150), he told me it was a problem with this model in that the steam created was leeching into the electronics and causing the board to short out, thus the bing bing bing noises. He replaced the board with a newly designed board to alleviate this issue that LG knew about. Finally the sound stopped and all was well. Except a few months later the binging began again. During the interim, I found on two different occasions, small chunks of black rubber. Now what?? I searched inside the dishwasher but couldnt find anything...until yesterday. Now I realize its part of the cowling that feeds water inside the tub. Unfortunately in order to see exactly whats going on with it, I have to figure out how to remove the lower water arm. And because this cowling has become unstable, its blocking the arm from turning freely. So now I have a lower armature that is half-way turning and binging and bonging and dishes that are being poorly washed. COLOR ME DONE! DO NO BUY THIS BRAND DISHWASHER!! I paid over $1,000 and its falling apart after a year and a half. LG brags that the motor has a ten year warranty. That is little value when the rest of the machine is falling apart before a year is even over!

I have three LG appliances and I have major problem with all.My microwave shelf makes contact with the oven wall because of too much play with shelf brackets and because the shelf should be smaller that what it is. It burned a line through to the metal and arced sparks. I wrote to the company service on the LG website but they did not reply. Today I called LG. The company representative said that it was no longer covered with warranty. I stressed that it was a safety issue and a design flaw. I switched to a supervisor who did not budge from that stand. I explained that it has been that way since day one but I had been very careful, that I always pull the shelf to the most forward position. Of course, as it should be safe for everyone. She said that she could have someone repair it at my expense. I said this was not acceptable. She then said I should buy microwave paint at the hardware store to fix the oven before using it again and not to operate it in the future with the shelf in, some solution! She also said the manual explains when to remove the shelf. I asked if it says never to use the shelf since that would be the only way to avoid the problem. She acknowledged that it did not. I reminded her of the light relay fire issue that they had with their refrigerators and that LG avoided the responsibility for that for about 4 years. Online reports made it clear that they only started to cover the repair recently on the 2005 models. I also made note of the problem with the leaking of the water through the seam between the two panels on the front of the dishwasher. She noted my problem but again, she said that it was off the warranty, but that she would send someone to my home to repair it at my expense. Again, this problem exists since day one. Someone needs to make these people responsible for their products. The refrigerator incident could have burnt my house down. Heaven knows what damage the toxic fumes from the microwave could cause.

I saw the LG refrigerator on the store and it was a good size for this part
I saw the LG refrigerator on the store and it was a good size for this particular model. My parents have LG as well. So, I ordered it online and so far, I like the size of it. It has two different store options, but it’s a big room. Also, I dont like the smart inverter technology that it has. It turns off a lot more than it’s supposed to, so the temperature goes up and the cycling of the temperature is probably more than it’s supposed to. The refrigerator goes warm inside and the cooling kind of cycles on and off to save energy. But then, it goes too warm before it cuts off to go back to cold.

Did a large kitchen remodel about 3 yrs ago and bought all brand new top-of
Did a large kitchen remodel about 3 yrs ago and bought all brand new top-of-the-line LG appliances... It has been a nightmare with every single appliance from about the first week through the first 2 yrs. Let me begin by saying that I traveled about 10 months straight every year and only home for the holidays. I live alone. My appliances get very very little use.The french door stainless steel refrigerator (dont have model numbers at the moment.. this is a review in general of my LG experience) had problems from day 1. The light bulb and fixture within the fridge burned so hot that it completely melted the housing within the first week. Warranty replaced it.... 3 more times with various bulbs. I finally left it out at the last time when the warranty expired. The next problem was the rubber seal between the doors. They constantly rub and fray over time and replaced twice... Again... This appliance gets VERY little use.The HE Washer and Dryer have been well below my standards. The washer seal collects water and becomes stagnant and smelly... making my clothes smell. I do very little laundry when home obviously. I have to completely clean and dry the ENTIRE washer before leaving town. The dryer has been the worst of it all and expensive fixes. Twice in 2 yrs the heating element pulled so many amps (I am an electrician) that it started an electrical fire through the power cord with the dryer. This burned the socket and the cord and had to pay for the heating element to be replaced both times as warranty had expired in 2 yrs. I have moved both units into the garage and purchased a good old standard set of machines and have had no problems since. The dishwasher.... oh man... this thing... I have spent more on repairs and replacement parts than the cost since the day the warranty expired. First the control board went out 2 times in 2 months of being home. Then, came out to a flooded kitchen 3 times in 2 yrs. This was from a faulty regulator in the dishwasher that allowed the water to flow to the drain in sink. With all of these great features in the dishwasher.... My dishes were constantly covered in dried soap spots using the recommended dish soap. I had a plumber come out to see if maybe the water pressure was too low to rinse and he actually had to back it off. The dishwasher gets the least amount of use... Already the racks have begun to corrode and rust through the coating even though it is rarely used. All in all with everything said and done.... the quality of these expensive appliances has been well below standards. Customer service I did not like as once the warranty is expired they practically disown their product and recommend local service and repair shops or retailers. The previous appliances were GE and Whirlpool that were 30+ yrs old when I got the house. Never an issue and they worked just fine. I know that LG will not be getting anymore money from me as I have become so fed up with the issues and the paranoia of failures from using my LG appliances that I have already decided to replace them all...I have enclosed the most recent pictures of the damage/issues that I could. The refrigerator picture shows the most recent fix and where it had started to melt the housing again. I do not have the old housings but this one was remounted (it gets so hot that it melts the plastic and starts to hang) by the service guy when he replaced the rubber seals about a week ago.The dryer picture is obvious. I have rewired the house long before the new appliances and luckily this 2 times issue did not cause damage to the wire or wall or breaker. The receptacle and cord are what burn up when the heating element first starts to heat up upon starting the cycle. The washer is obvious as this is the only issue for now. 3 yrs of owning this dishwasher and I have literally ran maybe 20 loads of dishes in that time. Again.... I was never home... and holidays are usually spent with family.

We purchased the top loading LG washer a year ago and it worked well for about 6 months. Then it started showing UE code and stopping due to a supposed unbalanced load. Shifting the clothes around and restarting it several times is about the only way we have now to complete a cycle. It takes incredibly long now to run a load. This now occurs no matter what the load size is. This appears to be a design flaw in this machine with bad load sensor, I think. All we can say is, DO NOT BUY An LG! No one seems to know how to fix this, UGH!

Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good
Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good at evaluating them: we like the LG refrigerator overall, the interior layout and the 2 freezer drawers but, it has several annoying drawbacks/problems: (a) the flipper on the left-hand door, which flips to allow the door to properly close, has an extremely close tolerance, and we have already had a repairman come in to adjust it so the door would properly close (he told us its a common problem and showed me how to do it in the future). (b) The design of the ice dispenser is terrible, as it is nearly impossible to position a glass without some ice chips falling outside the glass, and, if you do not notice that someone has left the dispenser switch in the ice setting (a tiny light indicator) and you want a glass of cold water, the ice dispenser dumps out a load of ice before you can stop it, or vice versa, and if you have a visitor, make sure he/she doesnt go to get ice/water by himself; (c) the unit is noisy, as the case vibrates - if I press against the side the vibration stops, but starts again when I take my hand off; and (d) when it was delivered a small plastic part was missing on the flipper hinge, I asked Customer Service if they could just send me that little part, but no, they said they had to send a repairman, which required 2 visits as he could only replace the entire flipper assembly. We would show a friend these conditions before buying an LG.

After a week of looking the warranty company cannot find anyone to do service so they issued a credit for me to purchase another refrigerator. So I am getting a different brand. Never again get anything LG. It seems like the controls are messed up or are out of calibration because the compressor is working and there is Freon in the system. This has been the most horrible experience I have ever had with an appliance. Purchased this back in 2016 and have now had five compressors on this refrigerator. Last compressor was installed on September 5th, and it still doesnt work. LG coming back out on September 11th to replace it again. Purchased three year warranty and because all repairs werent taken care of by the warranty company, they wont honor it and replace or refund our money. LG has stated multiple times they will continue to inconvenience us as long as they can keep replacing compressors. They only offered a one time $200 refund for food lost. Weve now lost an entire refrig/freezer full of food four times. Will never purchase an LG appliance again, and will make sure everyone I come in contact with knows the experience Ive had with this company and how LG cares nothing about the way they treat their customers.

We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

I wrote the head of LG for Canada, William Cho, but have not had any reply. Obviously customer service is not a priority for the President of LG Canada. HOME DEPOT, PLEASE STOP CARRYING LG PRODUCTS.

My mom actually suggested that I picked that brand and I thought it would be good to give it a try since Ive never had one before. So far its been good. I think its perfect as it is. It has everything that I need in a fridge. I like the double doors on top and the fridge on the bottom. I think its more convenient that way since I use more stuff in the fridge. I dont have to climb on the floor.

I got my stove 6 months ago and had the same issue as so many others. The stove knobs turn on so easily by accident. Its very dangerous, most times we would know we bumped the knob and just turn it off, but we had one close call when the knob was accidentally turned on and we didnt realize, well one close call was enough for me. Range LG as many others have said “what a waste of time“. So I started online looking for something to protect my family and I. I came across RangeSafe knobs. I saw these safety stove knobs online and while not cheap, it is impossible to turn the knobs on accidentally. For me the price was worth the peace of mind knowing NO MORE ACCIDENTAL KNOB TURNS.

LG True Steam Washing Machine is a piece of junk! I had problems from the get go (bought in 2010). All of the complaints that I have read are valid. I too take care to leave machine open to dry and clean tub on clean cycle with bleach once a month. I use the correct detergent and amount and even periodically use the refresh tablets in the machine. I have also spent money on service calls. I never had even one problem with my cheaper top load models. But this one sure looks good! Who cares! I just want a washing machine that cleans our clothes well and is problem free. This machine is a zero.

My LG dishwasher has a stainless steel finish that cleans and shines quite nicely. Soap dispenser holds tablet or liquid and dissolves no problems. All dishes are clean and spot free with the dry mode. Plenty of room for all dishes and pots and pans. Silverware goes on top. Operation is very quiet. No complaints, and would definitely buy again.

Consumers beware when purchasing an LG appliance! If you are remotely mechanically inclined and prefer to save money and repair things yourself, LG is not the manufacturer for you. A little over a year ago LG decided that they will not sell replacement parts to the general public forcing you to call an authorized service center to come to your house at your expense to repair your appliance no matter how small or simple a fix.Recently I needed to replace an $8 tumbler roller on our LG Tromm dryer that had worn and was making noise. It is about a 30 minute fix and requires a screwdriver and two wrenches. LG Canada nor any of its authorized service centers would sell me the part even though I had already removed it and was ready to install a new one. The parts are sold in the USA but every company that sells the part will not ship to Canada. My only options are to either bend to these unfair practices by LG or junk the dryer and buy a new one - albeit a different brand!

We purchased the LG French door refrigerator LFXS29626 in December 2016. After approximately 18 months of use, this virtually new refrigerator, stopped cooling and required a replacement compressor at a cost of $850. The technician doing the repair said that he is seeing many other “new” LGs with same problem. I can’t tell you how dissatisfied we are with this product and I hope there is a recall/reimbursements for the cost of repair. This is wrong!

Piece of crap top loading washer Model WT1701CW does not work! This washer, I was told by the salesman at Conns, with which I am no longer doing business, was programmed by a woman. It ought to make her and her environmentalist friends happy, because it saves water. But if you want your clothes washed, youre out of luck, because they will not be submerged below the water level of only a few inches! LG is no help at all, refusing to do anything. No software upgrade, no repair, no reprogramming, NOTHING! Wash day at my house involves using a BUCKET to fill the machine to a level adequate to wash, then repeating the bucket brigade for rinsing, EVERY LOAD, EVERY TIME! Do not buy LG products. I also have an expensive Plasma TV that failed after only 12 years. What a rip off!
