We purchased an LG LMV1813ST late July of 2012, but it was not used until late November of 2012. After we finally moved into our new house, we bought all new LG appliances totaling $5,500.00. On January 14th, we went to use the microwave and it would not heat anything. We have a technician coming out tomorrow. Not happy at all. It was used not even two months!

Food was spoiling but thermostat reading were within normal limits. I had a refrigerator repair done and was promptly quoted the replacement price for a new compressor. This is such a common problem that the repair profession knows the price off the top of his head. Not only was the compressor dead but the thermostats were dead too. I have chased LG for weeks without resolve. I do not believe they have any intention of resolving this issue. I am now forced to repurchase a new refrigerator and the refrigerator is only seven years old! I will never buy an LG product again! I RATE LG AS A ZERO. They should be barred from businesses in the USA!

I had a front load washer for years from Sears. My daughter purchased an LG front load from Lowes and it is always full of mold. She said she will never buy another front load. It is truly a shame. My mom had a front load when I was growing up. I purchased the Sears one in my 40s and loved it. This one though has been a nightmare.

When you pay $3000 for a refrigerator, you do NOT expect it to break down within two years... I bought the LG LFXC24726S at Mrs G in July 2015. In July 2017 the refrigerator stopped cooling, no ice or no water. Even with the extended warranty it was two weeks before svc was available... The day of svc... The svc man could not move the refrigerator to put the part in... And now they want $120.00 extra to send a second guy to help the one guy to move the refrigerator. What nonsense! The refrig should not have broken DOWN!!! LG doesnt own it. Mrs G doesnt own it... Jersey Appliance service doesnt own it. I have a BROKEN UNREPAIRED $3000.00 LG refrigerator that is only TWO YEARS old.

LG refrigerator LFX25960SB. My problem is the same as the one found over countless number of similar complaints on LG refrigerators - after a short period of ownership, the cooling area keeps shutting off with error code “ER DH”. How is it that there are so many complaints and there is no recall on these problem parts or at least a class action suit? If anyone has any knowledge of any group action being taken against this company, I am in! I will never buy an LG product again in the future and will certainly spread the word.

We had no idea what a nightmare we would be having after purchasing our LG Top Loading Washing Machine. The very first problem was a significant leak that was repaired in a timely manner. After that, I had a problem getting the soap out of my clothes and called the toll free number. I was told to use only 3 tablespoons of HE detergent, I was only using 1 tablespoon and still could not get the soap out of our clothes. I was taking our towels outdoors and hanging them from our clothesline and hosing them off until they were freer of suds. Finally, I called a repairman and was informed to use only 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of soap, but I still have to use a lot of water to get our laundry somewhat soap free. Our water usage has gone up over a 1,000 gallons a month.Things went along for a while, until I started noticing small shards of a foreign material stuck in our towels or in our pockets. I was baffled as to where these little hard pieces were coming from, and about that time, the washer was starting to make a strange noise during the spin cycle. I called the repairman again and we discovered that the drum was rubbing against the fiberglass liner. Those small shards in our laundry were coming from the washer tearing itself apart.I agreed that this particular washer was to be replaced. I wanted my money back minus the months of usage, but was told that was not an option. Finally, in the later part of November 2011, 6 months after our initial purchase, we received a replacement machine from LG. All was fine for a while, until the bleach dispenser stopped emptying completely. So, I called the repairman again and we received a new dispenser. Well, that one did not work any better and another repairman determined that there was a problem with the control panel and the washer drum needed to be replaced, because it was not in balance. It has been less than one year since we made our original washing machine purchase and it has been one problem after another. The fact that this type of machine does not properly rinse laundry and requires a lot of extra water to do so, is irritating. I always have to stay alert because the machine goes out of balance a lot and I have to leave the wet laundry and try to get the machine going again. In my opinion, this machine is poorly designed and will never work properly. Life is not good at LG, and well never purchase another one of their products.

Our fridge has the freezer on the bottom. It saves my back not to have to bend down to look in the fridge! We also like that it’s small and compact and doesn’t take up much space. The three shelves in the main body of the fridge serve us very well. And the shelves in the door are varying sizes and are all removable for cleaning!

The coating on my LG Refrigerator water dispenser started to bubble and then just fell off, looking like someone damaged it. This happened only 9 months after buying the fridge. I tried to get some explanation and help from LG but they said I damaged it and that it could be fixed only at my cost. So my advice, buy a different fridge. IT is not worth the money or your time. I am sure other companies have better service and products. Never will I buy another LG appliance again.

I purchased this refrigerator in April, 2017. In August, 2018 the refrigerator and freezer stopped working on a Thursday. A tech guy came on Monday and said it was the compressor and installed a new one. It still did not work. He came back and said there was a leak in the coil and he would be back on Friday. He installed the new coil and it still does not work. This is now over a week and I still do not have a working refrigerator. He is supposed to come back again tomorrow, Saturday, to do what? This is a lemon, plain and simple. I will never buy a LG product again.

I purchased a LG Refrigerator (model no: LSC27910SW) about 4 years ago. 4 months into it the icemaker broke. 8 months after that the lever for the icemaker would get stuck when you pushed it in forcing you to manually grab the lever to stop water/ice. Had it fixed again. 1 1/2 into it it started doing it again. We have been living with it like that. NOW the outside of the refrigerator is rusting all around the outside of the dispenser and on the corners of it. I live in Colorado. We dont have humidity. I E-mail LG 2 days ago. No response. Called LG today. They said Sorry but we cant do anything for you. I told them, I am buying a new refrigerator, do you want me to buy a LG again? His response was thats up to you. I will never buy ANYTHING LG again.

In 2012 I bought LG French door refrigerator. This refrigerator last 18 months. After several attempts to fix and few hundreds dollars of groceries dumped in the garbage I had to buy a new one. Because of custom kitchen I created by appliances only LG can fit. My new refrigerator still working but I cant use water it still smelly. Another time I got upset and decide to look for similar complaints after 2 pages of peoples cry about this horrible products I realized how lucky I am it just stinky ice and water. My question is how come LG still in business??? Is any of high authorities ever read this feedbacks??? My experience to get in touch failed. Unfortunately I dont speak Hindi. I hardly I learned English. So my idea not to be writer of bad feedbacks but to see if someone has a balls to answer simple questions. I am waiting. P.S. This item price $3000.00. WOW!!!

I bought Model#: LMHM2237ST. It just died one day, no clock, no lights, no power, nothing. Called LG, it is out of warranty period. LG Model WT5101HW - Had to replace the agitator in my 2 year old top loader
LG Model WT5101HW - Had to replace the agitator in my 2 year old top loader washing machine. A few months ago there was a software update to correct unbalanced loads. Now the screw holding the agitator in place came undone. (It is held in place with a substantial LOCK washer). The agitator came loose and the plastic gear which drives it became stripped. The result was that it came completely unattached from the drive gear. The LG service man said he had never seen that happen before. I paid $189.75 for the part and repair. As the service man was leaving, I checked the mail and discovered a recall letter from LG concerning my washing machine due to excessive vibrations. Guess I know how the agitator screw became loose now! Called LG and after 1 hour of waiting and answering questions, they said they will have to get back to me about whether I will be reimbursed for the repair. I will keep you posted on developments!

We loved our LG French door refrigerator with water dispenser. However, like many reviews here, it stopped cooling after only 20 months. After two weeks of reporting and checking on the repair request, we still don’t have an appointment to repair and a customer service supervisor hung up on us even when I politely suggested that No, I couldn’t wait an additional 24-48 hours for an appointment. When I contacted three area appliance repair services they said they won’t fix LGs unless we pay their labor costs and apply for reimbursement for parts from LG. LG does not reimburse their labor so they stopped working on them. Then, this would cancel the warranty agreement with LG and we wouldn’t get any money back.

LG gaskets for French door model never sealed properly when I bought a few
LG gaskets for French door model never sealed properly when I bought a few years ago. The gaskets would sometimes keep door from closing completely, but light and warning beeper would deactivate. Many times we would come back to refrigerator finding one door slightly ajar. LG help desk said to firmly close it and this was due to a tight, but normal fit. They were no help. Now, the top door gaskets have torn on both sides. LG said it has been over 1 year and I am s.o.l. They said there have not been any recalls and it has never been a problem. I went to appliance store and every make & model of refrigerators including LG had a new design of the gasket with a flap on top and bottom of gasket. LG said that my refrigerator gaskets can be replaced, but they are the original design. I contacted one of the certified LG repair service and they gave me a quote of $250 to replace gaskets. When I checked online, other owners of LG models like mine have had similar problems. I ordered both gaskets for $74 shipping included and installed them myself after viewing a YouTube demo. It was really easy and took about 15 minutes. Dont bother with LG customer service, it is a waste of time. LG does not mean Life is Good. It means Lucky Gold Star and you really need the luck for this appliance because quality & customer service has been deleted.

My refrigerator is 5 years old (LFX28978ST/02). Purchased with every appliance as we were moving into a new home. Already went through one issue shortly after purchasing the fridge with the ice maker. They made it right, but the LG certified technicians had to come back multiple times because they really didnt know what they were doing. Now the latest adventure. Compressor went about a month and a half ago. Turns out the compressor has a 10 year warranty. Great, right? Not so much. Getting this problem resolved has been an absolute nightmare. After doing what they wanted me to (having a repairman come out), I found out labor was not included on the compressor. Fine. I found a very reputable company to inspect and agree to do the repair. Unfortunately, its a half a days work so talking $300-$400 just for labor. Decided to have it fixed rather than buy a new fridge.1st call - said I would have a response in 24 hours. 2nd call - said no, timing to hear something back is 24-48 hours. 3rd call - said no, timing is 3 days. 4th call - said no, timing is 3-5 days. I verified if the 5th day was guaranteed (in this case Friday). 5th call - said no, the day I called didnt count so need to wait until Monday. 6th call - show they called my repairman the day I called. (This would prove to be a trend-lies). 7th call - they called and left a VM to my repairman but left a wrong number to call back. Called back to get the number myself. They didnt have the number. They called my repairman (I dont know why - the customer service rep had no info for us) and he told them the same thing. Put in a request on his computer for service center to call my repairman back. 8th call - said they showed they sent out an e-mail with the info to my repairman (they did not).9th call - my repair man was on vacation so could not confirm anything until he returned. Heard nothing. Supposedly putting in their system to call him again. Nothing. 10th call - immediately asked for a supervisor. Transferred me to someone in the states (Huntsville, AL). She told me the other calls go to the Philippines and that the computer showed someone calling him the day I lodged the complaint (lie). Also told me my previous Confirmation/ID# (or whatever they call it) had been closed. Great! She opened a new number. This was Thursday the 17th. Told me my repairman would hear something in 5 business days and there was no way to expedite because there were so many people in front of me. Thursday should count as day one since I called in the morning. Nothing.11th call - Called back on Friday the 25th. Asked for a supervisor. This time did not get transferred to the states.I assume still the Philippines. Told me the computer showed they called my repair man the day I called the last supervisor. (At this point, I feel like they do this in their system in case they get sued so they can say... Look, we called him. He didnt answer. All lies) Promised someone would call my repair man in 30 minutes and an e-mail would follow. Nothing. 12th call - Called Monday the 28th (today). Again asked for a supervisor. Again, Philippines. Joe promised he would have my issue resolved and would not leave until it was. After missing 41 minutes of work, hung up on me. I guess the moral is, dont buy an LG anything! My stoves electronics are also starting to fail as well. They want you to give in so they dont have to ship a compressor that will probably fail again anyway, but Im not giving up. Back to the phone...

I purchased LG Appliance. It was the biggest mistake. Within months I started having problems with fridge and Stove, the dishwasher stopped working less than 1 year after I purchase, I did not follow up right away, when I called they told me the warranty is only for 1 year that I would have to pay for the technician and if the part is warranted they will send to technician. I told them I would rather toss their awful product and buy a GE. I will never buy LG again. They are substandard. Not worth the high price they charge. I bought an LG refrigerator in May 2017. After 1 year of owning it, it was communicated to me that LG is known for faulty compressors in 2-3 years after purchase. My LG compressor stopped working in June 2020. The compressor is under warranty but the labor and other items not involved with compressor, such as Freon are not. It cost me $700 to fix the fridge. I did it since it was an $1800 fridge and 3 years old. LG would not even speak to me about some form of reimbursement for lost food. We own a lot of LG products so when we were in the market for a new stove, we went straight to the LG section. Well my burner on my range wont turn off. I called LG and they told me my model was on recall and they were aware of the problem. The tech came out and said he had to order the part. Then after spending way too much time on hold (One guy didnt even put me on hold, he put me on mute for 20 minutes!!!), they told me my range was not on the recall list!!! So I would be responsible for the parts and labor!! I then spoke to the supervisor who basically told me there was nothing she could do. So what am I supposed to do with this defected stove... leave the burner on and burn down my house? Not only that the number they gave me for the tech was no longer in service, I had to Google the company myself and provided LG with the correct number... For that alone they should fix my stove! They indicate a 10 year warranty on the compressor but fail to disclose you have to pay for the labor. I am now living out of an ice chest for the second time in 10 months. My advice to LG you know you sold a defective product, do the honorable and right thing and repair or replace at no charge. I will NEVER buy any LG appliance again. The top-loading HE washer I bought at HHGregg in August of 2012 (Model WT5170HV) has been nothing but a disappointment. LG customer service is terrible! They blame the owner for any problems. Apparently, quality means nothing to them. The area around the bleach dispenser rusted when it was two years old. They did replace the top but when the service tech arrived he just laughed. I do a lot of this, he said with a smile. Your new top will do the same thing in a year or two. Gee, what a vote of confidence. I purchased an extended service plan and Im glad I did. The washer controls do not work. Two new system boards are on order. The repairman told me that without the warranty it would be an expensive repair. He noticed the rust and told me I needed to call LG and get an APM# so the top can be replaced. Just waiting on the new system boards and taking my laundry to the laundromat. Now, just two years later the rust is back but now it is even worse. The washer is rusting around the bleach dispenser and the entire top of the lid opening. Rust is falling into the wash. I phoned LG and was told that they only replace the top once. I must be getting water and bleach on the metal and that I should be wiping it every time I complete a wash. I told the customer service advisor that this was impossible since the rust was under the top. I got nowhere with them and was advised I could get it replaced at my expense. Do you want rust on your clothes? Really? Then why does use water and bleach! Is no liquid is ever supposed to touch it? LG told me the rust is just a cosmetic issue. After owning this washer a little over three years, it breaks! I cannot use it at all! I paid a large amount of money for this machine thinking I was buying the best Top of the Line. What a joke! Serviceman told me after he repairs it I will be lucky to get five years; the average lifespan of this washer. The washer displays proudly on the front a 10-year warranty, but it only covers the motor. I will NEVER PURCHASE another LG product. Buyer beware LG. Do yourself a favor. Buy an inexpensive machine without all the bells and whistle. You will be much better off. The service tech offered that advice.

I purchased a $2700 LG refrigerator 6 years ago. It stopped working. They provided only two companies to repair. Neither will call me back to come and service unit. LG cannot provide anyone that can repair it. I have to dump it and buy a new one. How is that fair? LG is one of the largest companies in the US.

My LG electric range touch pad does not always work. Most often it is when I press Bake (350 degree light comes on) and then Start.... and nothing happens!!!! I move my finger all around the area and it wont start. So then I press Clear and voila, no problem; that works just fine!!! In over two years of ownership, this has happened at least a dozen times. Eventually it will work, but there is no rhyme or reason why!!!

Ive owned the LG washer for over a year and I absolutely hate it. It washes for over an hour and clothes do not smell fresh. I have taken my clothes to a laundromat several time just to get clothes clean and smelling fresh. Washer does only moistens clothes. No water visible. It fails to clean so much I had battled bed bugs recently. I HATE THE WASHER. WORSE PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE. Now Im stuck. Biggest regret ever!! I will soon purchase an old-style washer. THIS SUCKS!!! I wish I could return washer and get my money back!!! PLEASE!!!

Home Depot has informed Im stuck with this piece of junk. After 24 hours I am suppose to plug it back in and hope it runs and cools properly. If it does not the repairman will order a fan which will take a week to get. In the meantime I and a bunch of spoiled food and no refrigerator. Do not buy an LG! LFXS30726S.

Purchased our washer from Home Depot about (4) years ago, and if I could return it, I would. This has been the worst machine I have ever had. It doesnt dispense enough water to clearly wash clothes. I know this as my husband drives a truck for a living and brings home very grungy work clothes, and I can never get them spotless. Its really disappointing when you spend good money on appliances, to only have that money wasted on something you cant return. This machine smells, rattles and take forever to complete a cycle. Theres no rushing to get a load done at night. I could go to the laundromat faster!

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Bought this in 2014. Had never washed worth a darn. I paid over $900 on this piece of junk. The fact that I have to start out on the bulky setting till it fills up, then turn it off, restarting it on power cleanse to get the clothes to move around makes it not so energy efficient! If not used in this manner, the lack of water causes the clothing to rub against each other causing pilling of the material. Doesnt clean properly either. You have to pre treat, and wash 4 times to get any kind of stain out. Im buying a new machine this year and it wont be an LG. What a waste of hard earned money! Im so frustrated!

We purchased a 23 cubic foot French door refrigerator. Unfortunately we did not purchase an extended warranty. Within three years, the first problem was the ice maker, which LG repaired at no cost. The second problem came when a handle for a crisper broke off and now the fan motor now sounds like a motor boat. This all happened within three years and when I tried to contact a person of responsibility my emails go unanswered. I feel that this a poorly made product and seek relief and repair.

(Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

Bought my house 1.5 ago and brand new appliances came with it including the LG refrigerator. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED this fridge at first, however December 31st my compressor went out. Called LG the next day they said a tech in the area would call us to schedule a diagnosis. Took the techs three days to call us. I won’t hold that against them because it was the holidays however the earliest they will be out here to diagnose my fridge is the 14th. That is TWO weeks without a working fridge and this is just to diagnose it.When I called customer service again I found out the technician may not even have the part to fix the fridge when he is here!!! To top it off local people where I live will not touch LG products because of a lawsuit going on with the compressor and the hassle it is to be paid and receive the parts from LG. Even if I could find a local appliance tech to fix it it will still take LG a week to provide them with a letter of approval! So it puts me right back at two weeks or possibly more without any means to cool my perishable items unless I buy a ton of coolers and ice or a mini fridge which still would not fit all of my items. If I could give LG less than a star I would. Poor products and absolutely no care for their customers. The next appliances I buy will be anything but an LG.

Then the filter compartment started leaking again. Got it repaired. And the biggest problem of all, the compressor died and it took a week to have it repaired. The day after I went to Costco to restock the fridge & freezer!!! Im still waiting for the warranty people to call me to set up a service! I just might lose my mind! We purchased this washer approximately 4 years ago. It just doesnt work and hasnt since we owned it. You constantly get an error code on the machine when washing. Cannot get through a complete cycle without an error. Had LG recommend repair service (All American Appliance Repair, Daytona, FL) and replaced motherboard for $250 this time. Forty-five days later, doing same thing each time we use it. Called All American and LG back to have it fixed again. All American says motherboard was only warrantied for 30 days but LG says its warrantied for 90 days. Cant get straight answer from either party. Never been so frustrated with an appliance and dont understand how we can let companies sell a product with a known defect without a recall to fix. If you google you will see the same issues. We purchased it from Home Depot. I have the HD receipt, just dont know how to attach. Yes we would like to discuss with an attorney. Thank you.

I returned home from vacation to discover that the refrigerator had stopped working. It had been off for several weeks. The refrigerator was infested with bugs and larva. The service man didn’t come for a week and a half. In the meantime I had to thoroughly clean the refrigerator as best I could. There was still bugs in the ice and water. The repairman came and said that the reset button after a power failure had failed to turn the refrigerator on. Repairman did nothing. I am still waiting on my claim for food loss. It has been over a month. Then approximately two weeks following the first service call, the refrigerator was leaking water on the floor. Service man came and said that the drain line was frozen. I had to remove all the food and let it defrost. I don’t believe this is normal. I will never buy another LG refrigerator.

Bought LRE3083ST three days ago. I have an in home bakery so I need a top of the line oven. I thought LG had great quality ranges then come to find out that they are advertising and marketing all of their ranges as a true convection. None of the Rangers are true convections. None of them have the third element behind the fan. After calling the corporate executive offices in Alabama I was told that they would file my complaint to the appropriate people but dont count on anything being done.I tried to use the range for the first time by placing a few breads in the oven on the first try and then a few pies on the second try. The bread on the top rack got completely burnt and the bottoms were all in the bottom rack of breads. The top of the breads were Raw and the bottoms were burnt. Thinking that this was a defective range I had the store where I purchased it from bring me out another range. Three days later and three ranges later the same thing was happening. When I called LG today to let them know that half of my products were wrong and not baking correctly and the other half of my products were burning they said to me since youre using the oven to make items for customers we are now going to void your warranty. Why are you voiding my warranty I asked. Teresa the corporate executive explain to me that Im using my oven for commercial purposes. I told her it doesnt matter where the oven is located. First off its located in my house. She told me even though the oven is located at my house if I am putting items into the oven and then turning around and selling them that then voids my warranty. Although that is stated no where on their website nor in their owners manual. I was then told that if I wanted to obtain legal action to go ahead. Their attorneys are much more qualified and they have more money than I do so good luck.I tried filing a complaint with the attorney generals office and the Better Business Bureau but unfortunately because their corporate office is located in Korea and not in the United States I am stuck in the water. So I have an oven that is brand-new only two days old and I am stuck with it. Nothing I can do. The store wont take it back & LG wont cover it so Im now out a ton of money.Updated on 12/16/2015: Purchased an LG LRE3083 Electric Range 1 Month ago. After only 2 days the range was not working. LG sent out a repairman who was at my house on 3 separate occasions. After replacing computer circuit boards, relay boards and harnesses, the unit still wasnt working. Repair guy got on phone with LG tech support who informed us that this unit was deemed unrepairable. This unit is a flawed design. Repairman was told to put that into his notes and send it in. After two additional weeks I finally went out and purchased another range thinking LG was in the process of refunding me and taking this out of my home. I get a call yesterday from LG Executive Services informing me that the claim was denied and there will be no refund. I now have a $1,200 range sitting in my kitchen collecting dust. After looking at reviews about this range I found that numerous people have been complaining of the same issue. I cant afford to take this to court so I guess Im out Just like everyone else. You cant even file a complaint to the Attorney General because the corporation is located in Korea.

LFX319255T/03 - We read reviews and paid $2500.00 for this LG which is 2 1/2 years old at this point. Within the 1st year the entire electronic panel died and had to be replaced. This was handled under warranty but of course this means losing everything in my refrigerator/freezer twice before it was fixed as well as living without a refrigerator for several days while waiting for service. Then it developed mildew and another service call was necessary. Now it had stopped working again and they are telling us they have no approved service providers in our area to fix it (Cumberland County, NJ). LG had a lawsuit regarding these refrigerators and reimbursed customers for some of their lost food but having new, expensive refrigerator that breaks down every six months seems outrageous! I have a $2500.00 useless refrigerator sitting in my kitchen. LG says we should hear back from them within three days if they can find someone to repair it or we can find someone and give them the name!!! We called three local companies who will not touch repairs that are under warranty. I would avoid this refrigerator unless you like cleaning it out yearly and have checked to make sure you have service providers in this area.Updated on 12/16/2015: We spoke with 17 LG representatives including their Executive Department and 9 appliance service centers. There were originally no service providers in our area and no reputable companies accepted payment directly from LG or wanted to work with them. Long story short, we had to file a small claim action in order to get this resolved but now we are accepting a LG replacement refrigerator which also has reviews of disrepair. I am hoping we have better luck with this product but I would not recommend purchasing any LG product at this point. They were a nightmare to deal with and provide very poor customer service. Since we will need to sign an agreement not to discuss this refrigerator and our experience in order to get a replacement, I wanted to post my experiences prior to agreeing to this settlement. I hope this will help others avoid the same mess.

We bought our French door refrigerator around December of 2018 when we purchased our new house. We have loved our unit until one day both of the coils for the fridge and freezer part went out. I placed a repair order in August of 2020. LG outsourced the repair work to a local repair shop which was fine. Here it is 10/25/2020 and we are still without a refrigerator. I have contacted LG and the repair company numerous times and nothing is being done about it. LG has basically washed their hands of the whole situation and put it on the backs of the repair company. I got tired of waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired because we have a large family (family of 8); I called LG back once more and requested LG to replace or refund the money from the initial purchase. Since then we are going on 2 weeks and I have still yet to hear from LG as to what the decision is on replacing it or refunding the money. We was happy with the unit while it was working but since then it has been a complete nightmare and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE because of this incident. I hope my review helps clear the air up for anyone thinking about making a purchase of a LG product.

I have looked all over the internet this morning to find out if there is any fix for this and have been unsuccessful in finding anything. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. I purchased an LG washer/dryer pair from Lowes in Glendale, AZ the week before Labor Day, 2014. Install occurred about 10 days later, because the item wasnt in stock. Washer was front loader, Dryer is gas. Dryer is fine. Washer (Model WM3570H*A) began leaking within 4 days - first a little, then a lot. Called Lowe; they sent out a technician to observe the unit in cycle. Didnt find a leak. Next day, starts leaking again. Call Lowes and demand a replacement. To their credit, they send a Maytag loaner unit out while they take the LG back to figure out what is going wrong. I had the loaner for about 6 weeks - apparently they had to mine the ore to make the steel to make the machine. My replacement unit arrived yesterday, 10/22/2014, nearly 2 MONTHS after the original purchase. Washing load number 3 following new install, the floor is covered with about a quart of water. No leak from the front - it is coming from under the body of the washer somewhere. So tomorrow, I will call them to take the machines back, refund my money, and go elsewhere to purchase a reliable washer/dryer pair. The rating sites online have this all wrong - LG sucks!!!

We bought our LG front load model WM2487HRM in 2008 and about 6 months after, it started shaking so bad that our whole house would shake. My husband put some vibration pads under the feet and these seem to help for a long time. However, the mold and regular cleaning has been terrible. In the last year, we have been using only the low spin with only using light loads. This seems to elevate the washer moving a foot, however, it now moves about a foot with all three. The low spin, only putting in half load or less with the pads under the feet as well. There are other problems too. The washer will leak from the front. The washer will sometimes not get the soap into the drum. We have tried all of these options because the set cost $3,200.00, which is ridiculous considering our problems. It will cost $800.00 to $1,200.00 to fix and at this point, we will wait and buy another. But not the same brand.

I purchased an LG refrigerator. After about 1 1/2 year, the fuse blows. Now you would expect to just replace the fuse, but no. The design of the fridge is that you have to replace the entire circuit board costing hundreds. I dont know why, but I decided to do a little research. I went to YouTube and found a video of how to replace a fuse bypass circuit avoiding a big cost. My fiance and myself did this. Total cost is around $25.00 (gotcha LG) and we have no experience. If you can follow directions, turn the power off to the fridge, of course, and use your own judgement. I would do so again. Why do we think they fix it to where you cant pay to have a fuse replaced (which I have never heard of going out on a refrigerator that fast anyway)? So that maybe a company can makes lots of money by replacing the entire boards instead of just a $1 or $2 fuse. Just want everyone to know and to the person who did the YouTube video, thank you so much! And to LG, no thanks. I will not buy another LG product (lifes good). Life would be better without defective appliances.

Worst washing machine I have ever owned. I gave it one star only because it was a required field and would not accept a negative number. Purchased unit new approx. 15 months ago; one of the benefits of this unit was the high-speed tub helping to dry clothes-- reducing dryer loads. While in use with only a queen-sized mattress pad the tub broke away from drive unit during spin cycle and sent the unit literally bouncing-off the 2 nearest walls (destroying drywall). The unit top and rear panels were separated from the body, and the body walls were expanded (rounded outward). The unit wouldnt fit through door frame. This could present potential safety issue!!! Beware!!!

The purchase of the LG Washer is by far the worst I have ever made. Despite complaints to LG nothing has been done. The finish on it has faded, during the spin cycle the vibration is horrible, knocking things off the shelf, the smell cannot be controlled along with the mold on the rubber seal. Now I notice chipping on the glass on my front loader that has now produced a crack along one side and is making its way toward the center. Never will I purchase the LG brand again!

I purchased a top of the line LG refrigerator and after 1 year the front panel got very dim. Called LG Support and they told me they would not do anything to help. So I lived with the problem. A year later the front water dispenser didnt shut off. Called again, there are only two of us in the house so the refrigerator is lightly used, we should not have any problems in the first 2 years. Again I called LG and they would not do anything for me. Basically once they got my money they could care less about their machine and their name. I would never, I mean never buy any LG again, they produce junk for a high price.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (model: Lfx28968ST) about a year ago so it is a new appliance. It stopped cooling so we called LG customer service to have a technician come out with no resolution. This problem has persisted since April 9, and we have had 3 technicians come to try to fix the problem...all have failed. To make matters worst, the first technician scratched our wood floors pulling the refrigerator out so now there is damage to our floors. LG promised us that after the third attempt, they would replace the entire refrigerator unit for us. However, I spoke to them again today and they are trying to send out another technician... this will be the fourth attempt to fix it! The most recent technician that came out even called LG himself and recommended a brand new appliance as he felt this one could not be fixed! I spoke to a manager today who was very rude and basically informed me that I needed to provide more receipts and information and that this would be a long drawn out process because we are now claiming damages for our floors. She did not even apologize for the fact that we have been without a working refrigerator since the beginning of April (today is May 15, 2014) and had a rude attitude!! Not to mention all of our food spoiled, and we have not been able to buy groceries during this time coupled with the fact that our hardwood floors are now substantially scratched/damaged, and LG has broken their promise of replacing the refrigerator as they are insisting to send out more technicians and order more parts...and to top if off rude, and unhelpful customer service/management. I am not one to complain and have been very understanding up to this point. I will never ever buy another LG product EVER AGAIN! I cant believe a company like this is still in business!

I bought the LG Model DLEX3370W in May 2019. Exactly 2 years later the dryer died. The circuit board died and it will not power on. I went to a local repair/refurbished shop and asked them if it was possible to repair the dryer. They told me it would cost the same amount to repair the dryer as replacing it. The dryer works very well when it has power but after about a year we noticed it would intermittently not power on. In most cases we would unplug it and plug it back in and it worked. This last time it is completely dead.

We purchased our refrigerator in Dec 2018, and it decided to quit on us this week; suspect it is the compressor. We called LG 2 days ago and finally got a return call from the repair company stating they can’t get to us until June 1st. LG only has 1 company in the entire area of Phoenix that does the repairs. How insane is that!So now, all of the freezer and fridge food we purchased to hold us off during this stay at home crisis is spoiling and thawing - into the garbage it goes. LG’s solution is to give us a $200 allowance to buy a mini fridge until the repair can be made. What’s up with that? That won’t cover the dollar amount for the food we have in the fridge/freezer and the mini fridge certainly won’t be able to store all that we have in the fridge/freezer. Then we’ll have the hassle of getting rid of a mini fridge after the refrigerator is fixed. There is a class action lawsuit. I guess LG figures what’s the point of fixing fridges quickly or compensating folks for spoiled food when they’ll just have to pay out later...probably less to the consumers, right? **

My clothes have been stuck in there for 8 days and its still got 5 or 6 more days waiting on part and repair appointment! Called LG and they said warranty did not cover the control panel. So I have paid after original purchase, service call, part and the cost of putting new part and loss of the clothes in it over $1,500.00! I also had a tv that lasted only 3 weeks! LG is supposed to be one of the top-rated for reliability but Im disappointed that after two years, I started having problems with my LG refrigerator. I didn’t expect that. It just stopped working and the lead time for getting somebody in here to repair it was ridiculous. I had to do three repair jobs which took about two months. It would work off and on so the food would get all defrosted and Id throw stuff out. Id reset it and the fridge would work for a little while then the same thing would happen. The contractors that came were good but the first repairman didn’t fix the problem. I told the service repair people that the guy told them that a part needed to be replaced and to order that part. It turned out they did not order it. So, that delayed everything a lot ‘cause they didn’t do what they were told and they didn’t listen to me. The second repairman who was an authorized LG service guy told me that the first guy diagnosed it wrong. The second guy figured it out and fixed it. The refrigerator is working fine now but its making a little bit more noise than it ever has.

LGLRFC21760ST - Numerous calls to retailer and independent repairmen re: water spilling out from freezer and unto floor (It has ruined the hardwood floor in kitchen area) since purchase in 2005. Have paid lots in labor and parts over the years, they all do something different than the last guy..... and it keeps leaking. Called again and repairman said, You should have called us earlier. Really???? How many times do I have to call - and pay - to get it fixed? Now read that many others have experienced the same problem, but I have never been advised that it was a common issue with this fridge. Guy today said he would check to see if there were any bulletins issued on this matter for LG. Are those bulletins available to the public? Really, really frustrated after seven years with this problem. And now likely a very expensive bill. Plastic bins have also broken and will be replaced - poor design said the repairman - but that is the least of my problems.

I had the identical problem to someone else on here. We bought the LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot and the little hinge on the top of the door broke off and the door was constantly staying open. We just lived with it because we had previously had a problem with a new LG washing machine and nobody in the area would service it! I was told by a serviceman that LG didnt pay them for warranty work and although I dont know if that is true or not. I do know that I couldnt find a serviceman to fix the washing machine, which we eventually disposed of, even though it was less than a year old. Anyway, we moved from that house and happily left the beautiful LG refrigerator with the broken door hinge and lo and behold, the new house that we bought, had the same refrigerator and shortly after moving, the hinge on one door broke on that one too. LG definitely seems to have a quality problem with their appliances and I wouldnt buy one again.

Purchased a highly rated LG refrigerator in 2011 with a 10 year warranty on the compressor. 8 years to the day, the compressor died. Compressor is under warranty, but other parts & labor are my expense. When the repairman went to install the replacement compressor sent from LG he found it was not the same. In fact it was very different. LG Parts dept said it was compatible & should work. The repairman, who has 30 + years experience, told us that the refrigerator would need rewiring & even then there was no guarantee it would work. He estimated his labor time to be 4 hours. Further discussion with LG brought no other resolution. Bottom line, they do not have the compressor for older models. They could have offered to put the labor under warranty but they did not. Their final word was that someone on their end (from the parts dept) would instruct the repairman how to install the compressor. We know this repairman for over 20 years. He is very honest & very good. He said trying to install the compressor sent, as is would be a fire hazard. His recommendation is to save our money on the labor cost & put it to a new refrigerator. NOT LG. Another comment: I had little choice in 2011 when I went to buy a refrigerator the size I wanted. The bottom freezer was the style. I hate it for many reasons. You cant put boxes in without them jamming; even ice cream containers. I freeze meat & chicken in air tight bags in order to fit more in. I am now looking for a top freezer instead.

In May 2016 we purchased a Kenmore side by side door in door refrigerator. Little did we know that it was actually a LG refrigerator with a Kenmore label. The Refrigerator stopped working in July of 2018 after just a little over two years. We called Sears Service, and got the bad news that our warranty was for only one year. The repair would cost $800. We foolishly went ahead and trusted them to repair it promptly. It took them 3 weeks to order parts and schedule a technician. The technician did a poor job and the new compressor was making noise and not cooling. They had to reorder parts and another technician which took another 4 weeks. The second technician eventually fixed it. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed to see how long it will work.

I have never written a review but am so dissatisfied with my LG Direct Drive Dishwasher (paid over $800) - I felt compelled to warn others. I have hated it from day one mainly for the design of the racks. Although the tines look evenly aligned they do not hold my dishes upright causing them to fall over. I have rearranged them hoping to find better placement but to no avail. The glasses on top fall over as well causing a number of them to break since purchasing just over 2 months ago. They clang into each other while washing. This morning was the last straw when I discovered 90 percent of the coffee cups and glasses were caked with debris and need to be washed over. I hate this thing. Buyer beware - model 406KWELS3892.

I bought this LG Gas Slide In Stove Model LSG4511ST from Home Depot online on Feb 17, 2018. Within a few weeks of barely using it all five burners on the stainless steel stove top were corroding with rust. We just spent a ton of money remodeling our kitchen and were excited to get our first and new Slide in Gas Stove. Well the nightmare began. We contacted Home Depot and they referred us to LG. Home Depot wouldn’t speak to us. We paid $1300 for the stove. After many calls, chats and emails to LG customer service and their executive office they replaced the entire SS stove top and all five burners after SIX months of hell with them. They didn’t show up, excuses, no response to emails, no call backs - HORRIBLE company. Then within a short time after they replaced parts it started corroding AGAIN around ALL FIVE burners. The calls, chats, emails to LG started again and this time they don’t respond at all. I tried Home Depot also and they will not take any responsibility. Nothing! I am sitting here with a defective ugly stove in the middle of our brand new kitchen. I am now forced to sue them. I filed a complain the US Bureau of Consumer Goods a month ago, was assigned a complaint number and “investigator” name and email and they don’t respond either. I have tons of documentation of this nightmare and photos. The icing on the cake is I wrote a review for the stove on www.homedepot.com and they “rejected” it. They didn’t want the public to know the truth about a product they sell!

Ive had this refrigerator (model LFC23760SW) French doors freezer on the bottom for about 4 years. I like the design of the fridge except for one reoccurring problem. I have had to replace the door gaskets 3 times in four years. Not only is this very annoying but it is costly. The issue is when the doors (left and right) come together to make a seal, the left door gasket pull away from the door and tears. This is the same issue over and over. Clearly this is a design flaw. I just recently (within 3 weeks) replaced the door gaskets and the door gasket on the left has already begin to pull away from the door. I know I cant be the only person having this issue and I was hoping the LG company has come up with a fix for this problem. Their reply to my inquiry was brief and simple, no fixes reported to customer care were available, have a nice day. I would highly suggest everyone stay away from this model and others like it. Im staying away from LG products, period.

This fancy 3 door fridge refrigerators bought at Lowes in New Orleans on June 6, 2013 has been a nightmare since I bought it. A week in my home and the ice maker stopped making ice. Repairman replaced the ice maker. Ice tends to stick together. Recent problem is the LOUD clicking noise when the ice maker is turned on off. Customer Service somewhere overseas said this noise is normal because of wear and tear. I explained to the man that using the thing 8 times in one year is NOT wear and tear. He said it is. I put the phone next to the ice maker for him to hear the clicking noise. My son who bought the same fridge on the same date last year does not have this problem. Very kindly he said they are going to send the repair man but I have to pay for it. Unnecessary to tell you the long and stressful conversation with this man. Apparently I am wrong and LG is correct. I said to this man, after he said our conversation was being taped, that it was great news he was taping our conversation because I would on line and make sure the entire world LG knows about the lousy customer service, confirmed again by the guy at Home Depot when I went there on Monday to buy a new dishwasher. Obviously there are two brands of DW I dont buy: Bosch and LG.This man overseas said he would send the repair man and I insisted, make sure I dont have to pay for it because I am still under warranty. If this man tells me I have before the work begins, I would let him go and contact you again. LG can spend millions on Dollars in TV commercials, they fail to realize and accept that the best advertisement is by -word of mouth-. I am extremely unhappy with this fridge. The left side is cooler than the right side. No veggies can go on the left side as it freezes them. My suggestion: move over to another manufacturer.

We are so disappointed that we will have to replace this expensive appliance after just three and a half years. The service tech said it would need a new spin basket, motor, stator and hall sensor. I was cleaning the exterior of my LG washer WM2701H with a soft dry dishtowel and the printing around the dial wiped off. Never in my life have I had any appliance that I have cleaned on the outside that the printing just wiped off. I was not using any cleaners or liquid on it. The service person I talked to said that the printing coming off was not covered by the warranty. To me that is not the point. In this day and age with the technology we have as a country, you should be able to buy a washer that when cleaning, the printing doesnt wipe off. The washer manual say that the outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and mild, non abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth. I guess LG doesnt care about the consumer. Im so disappointed in their non-response to problems people are having with such expensive washers and dryers. Im surprised Sears still sales LG products. I purchased an LG french door refrigerator Model lfx28968st in January 2014
I purchased an LG french door refrigerator Model lfx28968st in January 2014. I paid close to $3,000 for it, so I was surprised when it stopped cooling less than a year later. I immediately called LG who referred me to a local company that does their warranty work. It turned that the company had been out of business for years and that no one in our area actually does their warranty work. When I called LG again they seemed surprised and told me that I would have to find a local company that would work with them to get my refrigerator repaired. After calling around town, I discovered that Sears was the only company who would attempt to repair my basically new refrigerator. I made the first appointment I could get (several weeks later) to have my refrigerator diagnosed because Sears would have to get parts ordered and approved through LG before any repair could be made so they could get reimbursed for their labor. In the meantime, we decided to rent a refrigerator to keep our food from spoiling as this was obviously going to be a long process. The repairman told me that it could be several things, one of which was the main computer panel. After finally getting the part in and installed, he told me to give it a few days to see if that did the trick. Several days later it was still not cooling. I had to go through the waiting process again. By the time Sears got it fixed for me, I had been without my nice refrigerator for many months and I had been paying rental on the other refrigerator. About a year and a half later, right after Thanksgiving 2016, my refrigerator once again stopped cooling. Also, my LG microwave purchased at the same time quit working. It turns out that neither one would never work again. This time we just purchased another used smaller refrigerator and called LG. They gave me the same information about the repair company that was out of business. I called Sears once again. Every time a repairman came out to my house they would tell me stories about how LG refrigerators are not any good and that they are constantly being called about repairs for them. I had not bought the extended warranty on my refrigerator, so this time I was told that I would have to pay for the labor, but LG would cover the cost of the parts until the original warranty ran out. I was told that LG would try to repair it, but that if it were deemed unrepairable that they would replace it. For almost the entire next year Sears would come out, diagnose my refrigerator, call LG who would suggest what was wrong and order parts. I would wait for the parts to come in and set another appointment for repair. During that period, Sears came out about five times to diagnose and five times to repair. They replaced the Evaporator A, Dryer, Dryer Assembly, Dryer UV (Restricted), Heater Exchange, Pipe Assembly... Finally, in November of 2017, Sears decided my refrigerator was unrepairable and gave up. They gave me back all of the labor that I had paid, minus the trip charge to come to my house. It turns out that because it had taken so long to try to repair my refrigerator that LG was not going to honor any kind of warranty. For the last year I have the nicest looking boat anchor in the middle of my kitchen floor that I dont know what to do with. Complaining to LG doesnt help. They just pass me around until I give up. Complaining to Sears doesnt help either. They just put me through to the warranty department, which does me no good anymore. I believe that LG should be banned from our country. I will never buy another of their products again.

However, LG refuses to honor their warranty -- 7 years sealed system and 10 year compressor. After many emails they agreed to issue me a small payment but of course I have not seen anything! They are awful!!

Periodically, about once a month or two, the machine will dump a load of slimy black crap on our clothes at the end of a wash cycle. We leave the door open, clean the filter fairly often, and drain the tube. No warning - it just happens. Use HE detergent sparingly and Warm/Cold or mostly Cold/Cold setting. Has done this since day one. We do clean the seal around the door as well. Not sure why this stuff burps out once in a while, but more than just annoying. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.
