We have 2 LG devices, washer and dryer, both less than 2 years old. Working great so far. The only thing we dont do is use the washers built-in dispensing system. We dont want to have any trace materials flowing around.

My dishwasher was brand new when I bought my house in 2017. They did a whole LG kitchen. This is now my nightmare. The dishwasher never worked from the first time I tried it. I called LG who gave me the runaround. I even called Home Depot. More runaround. When LG finally sent someone out this guy was shady and said the dishwasher was dirty. I never saw or heard from him again. Now my compressor in the LG fridge is out after 28 months.

In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. Those burners take a long time to do small kitchen tasks like boil water. I bought an electric kettle for that. The range takes a full 10 minutes to get to 420. This is an extremely disappointing product.

We purchased an LG Washing Machine 1.5 years ago and it works wonderfully, except for the Rust that has developed in the bleach container. Ive had two other washing machines over the course of our marriage and neither of them ever rusted out like this. I dont know if LG will replace/fix this issue or if I need to just sand it down myself and spray paint it. It looks awful and Im not sure what other issues could arise from this. If anyone has any additional information on how to repair this, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Runs silent and cleans well. Steam sanitize, power scrub, regular modes as well as ability to choose wash strength. Standard, under counter. Has very clean lines with no brand on the visible front of the machine. When first purchased, the original dishwasher was faulty and would not work. We purchased through Best Buy who replaced the machine a week later and since then we have had no issues with it.

Purchased a front load washer model WM2455HG and dryer set with stacking bracket 6 years ago. Washer makes a terrible grinding noise and stops spinning, rocks, and starts grinding etc, etc. Have tried to get a repair person to look at it. When I tell them its a LG they laugh and suggests I just purchase a new washer. I have the dryer that stacks on the washer, now Im being told that theres no LG washer that is compatible with dryer stacking bracket, that Ill have to buy a new washer and dryer. Called LG, they dont have a clue. Was told to buy washer, if it dont work, to return it.

LG model LFX2597ST - Had 3 companies change out mother boards, ice makers, board in back of the refrigerator! Bought refrigerator in Sept 2014, a week later shelf and plastic cracked, and plastic dispenser of ice broke. Was fixed and two months later it broke again along with the ice maker slowing down in making ice. Its taken three months of constant calling, waiting parts, trying to fix and issues are getting worse. Talked to supervisor. She sent letter to main office and I just keep getting the run around. Almost a year and fridge still not fixed. I think they just dont care about the irritation of people spending hard earned money and should cover the warranty when its not even a year. I am so upset now that when I hear LG or see it, I feel I became a victim. It hurts and feel sad that a company who I used to like could do this! ALL I ASK IS WHAT NOW. I hate what the company is doing and who can help us consumers? My year is almost up! We even sent copy of receipt from Home Depot on Windward parkway in Alpharetta Ga. They never solved anything for us!

The motherboard on our 3-door French door style LG - LFX25960ST heated up, melted the plastic housing, and almost started a fire. Thank goodness I was home when it happened. The repairman said the he has had numerous complaints about the LG, and that this should not have happened. I am going to try to get LG to assume some responsibility, but after seeing the comments below I am not optimistic.

We purchased our $3,000 fridge at Sears in 2016 before they went out of business. While it is a Kenmore sold by Sears, it is actually a fridge built by LG for Sears. So the fridge is basically 4 years old and the freezer has stopped working. With Sears bankruptcy, I have no warranty. I understand that, but LG is unable to provide a qualified service agent that is still in business. All service agents I have called have indicated that LG is proprietary and I need a LG technician. Totally unacceptable. Besides the service issue, breakdown so quickly is a problem. If you are buying new, I would recommend sticking with manufacturers that specialize in kitchen appliances, not TVs and computers. I wont make that mistake again.

So my LG stove stopped working I purchased it at Home Depot and 2 of my burners stay on HI and the other two on LO. I contacted LG about and they said there was waiting list. We need to cook and this is unfair because I need my stove. I cannot cook on HI all the time. I am very unhappy with the service because I contacted them and they said that they would take about a week to come look at it. I cannot leave my kids without eating. This is just plain and simple. Its not okay to be doing that to customers. I regret buying this stove for the reason that LG has no responsibilities on their customers.

Brand new LG top freezer refrigerator was replaced twice. None of the freezers could maintain a zero or lower temp - sometimes getting up to as much as 15. LG told me theyd send someone out but since the problem is random, if it isnt above zero, they will charge me for the call. INSTEAD of researching what LG has done in the past to fix this problem and just doing that repair, they insist I have to wait until the fridge constantly fails. Which is may or may not. Meanwhile, I cant protect food from freezer burn and spoilage. I called LG. Was disconnected. Called again. was put on hold 15 minutes and was disconnected. Called again. Was told someone would call me back. No one did. Emailed asking what the fix was for this issue and was told to read the owners manual and that I had to call their 800 number to talk to a person. The email contained a link to a chat which told me I was not authorized to use. So I have a new refrigerator with a useless freezer and no help from LG. All they need to do is tell me how the problem has been fixed for others. Instead, they not only lost a customer, I will caution others not to deal with LG.

After the first six to ten months of use, I struggled to figure out what I was doing wrong. Very often, the clothing would actually come out smelling worse than when they went in. Lint and dirt particles were left inside the tub, on my clothing and in the laundry basket. This issue increased in degree as the months went by. The LG design places an odd drain tube and plastic filter at the front bottom which requires cleaning periodically. But actually, it is a reservoir for dirty water and also, the filter rarely had much lint or pet hair on it.I am a senior citizen and I never imagined such a design would even exist. The dirt, lint and pet hair rarely reach the filter and just build up in the washer. I have had to remove the plug, replace it with a clamp and open the drain onto the floor after every load. The instructions want you to get on the floor and find a bowl low enough for gravity to fill it, but not spill it when theres more water than will fit in a typical bowl. The washer needs special cleaning very often and the whole process is utterly ridiculous. I have spoken with customer service and my issue was moved up to the manager, but the company has shown no interest in customer satisfaction at all. Having a Kenmore front loader previous to this is like changing from the best to the worst imaginable.

In my opinion, LG is a brand that incline as far as technology. I trust them to use the most up to date equipment when putting their products together. But in my opinion the initial cost of the refrigerator was a bit pricey. Over 700 dollars was a bit out of my price range for what came with the product. There was no ice machine. And the space made for the freezer was considerably small for the price. To me it should have at least came with a ice maker. Even though a bit pricey, I am overall satisfied with my purchase. My last refrigerator was a complete joy. It worked extremely well and never gave me any electrical issues. All food stored were kept at the proper temperature and never spoiled. I would definitely recommend.

I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

My 1st review 10/2020 was not acknowledged... My issues with LG was with my dryer shortly after I purchased my combo from Sears in 2004. Over the last year or so our washing machine has been leaking more and more. The mysterious thing is that it’s intermittently. Well, it finally decided to go all the way crazy & water was spewing from the bottom of the washing machine from somewhere. By the time we noticed it our washing area and hallway was completely flooded upstairs and water was leaking all through our house downstairs. It was horrible! I’m now stuck with a washer we don’t want anymore out of fear of flooding & knowledge the manufacturing company will be no help. After researching I see I’m not alone, but nothing has yet to be done by LG. Life’s not Good LG!

The washer keeps tripping GFI which indicates a current leakage problem, that is, a DESIGN PROBLEM. Local techs and LG keep writing this up as an electrical breaker tripping which is a problem of shorting out, or over-amping, not current leakage. GFI breakers are required by electrical code in areas where water is present. The local techs and LG want to solve this problem by removing the GFI, thus violating electrical code in order to make their product work. Current leakage design problems dont improve, they get worse over time, further endangering customer safety.

Updated on 08/30/2019: The leaked water ruined the chill drawer electrics. it is not covered under warranty anymore. I did talk to LG and they agreed to send me a new face for the drawer. Then the tech tells they charge $300 to install it. With LG the hits just keep on coming. Since the tech left yesterday the fridge is at 45 degrees and the freezer is at 20 degrees F. Maybe it will get better later? Consumers deserve better than this.Original review: Bought this refrigerator June 14 2016. The compressor and other parts have been replaced twice. The last time was August 15 2019. Here it is August 19 2019 and it is 40 degrees in the freezer and 60 degrees in the fridge. Again we are waiting on the repairman. Have lost around 200 dollars worth of food each time. It is clearly time for them to replace this lemon with a new fridge but they probably will not. Maybe the third time is a charm but I am not betting a new purchase of groceries it like I did last week. If you bought an LG fridge best of luck to you.

We purchased our LG French door refrigerator in September 2007. We thought it was a wise purchase but after 6 1/2 years we have found out its not. The refrigerator part of the unit was getting warm so we called for service, we only had to wait 2 days for the service man to arrive, okay not bad. I guess they are busy, and after reading the reviews here I guess they are. Anyway the service man told me it looks like the control board is bad and it would cost $300.00 to fix it. He recommended that we kick the fridge to the curb and buy a new one, he told me that the compressor would only last between 7-9 years and since we are so close to that time it would not pay to repair it. I really appreciate his honesty but I dont think I will buy another LG refrigerator, I dont think that spending $200.00 a year is worth it on a LG.

The LG ice maker design is flawed (LG Refrigerator LFX25975ST103). I purchased the item new from Home Depot in 2010 and luckily with an extended service contract. Initially, the problem was the water dispenser. The dispensing button stuck and flooded the kitchen before I could get an LG representative on the phone. The ice maker would not function and was replaced after numerous service calls between September 2010 and January 2011. It has never functioned properly, always crushing most of the ice. This leads to a crushed ice dam that forms in the door. Eventually, one must clean out this mess. After being a slave to service calls in 2010, I decided to utilize my Home Depot extended warranty and attempt once more to have ice from this very expensive investment.A crack existed in the ice hopper and a very talented serviceman came to my home, analyzed the problem, and ordered a new ice hopper. The part arrived last week and since then, the same problem has existed. Now, I am unable to remove the ice hopper due to the ice dam in the door. This entire problem is due to the design. We keep the temperature in our home at just under seventy degrees year-round. When the left door is opened, the vents between the main refrigerator body and the door allow warmer air to enter the ice maker. The flap door that opens to allow ice to eject also allows warm air to enter due to the long length of the trap door opening, 5 seconds. This allows some melting of the ice that is trapped and crushed in the hopper to melt then re-freeze in the blades. Then the damming cycle begins once again.

After review, it has been determined to be a cosmetic issue which is not covered under manufacture warranty. The ring in the picture appears to be created from the pots boiling over. We have a WM2301HS bought in Sept 2010 and after a few months, we noticed that the are grease-like stains on some of the clothes, but not all the time. It is a pain to get those stains out. Some comments suggested the contents of the laundry are to blame, but judging from the complaints, we are not alone. Did anyone get this solved? All in all, this machine works great (and looks good). We purchased brand new LG washer and dryer. After install on the very first wash cycle I heard an unusual sound only to find water pouring over our entire newly remodeled laundry room. The washer had a cracked hose in the internal compartment. We have spent many hours and many attempts to resolve this issue with LG. They have been very difficult to work with. Service people do not want to repair their machines so we are on week three with no ability to wash clothes after purchase of a new washer. LG has refused to replace the machine even though it was defective from the start. Save your time and especially money and DO NOT purchase from LG!!! I could not say it enough. We have had numerous dishwashers over the years but this LG Dishwasher Model LDF7551ST is the WORST dishwasher we have ever had. Both trays collapse when dishes are loaded, the drain line is insufficient so it periodically doesnt drain. This Thanksgiving dinner at 10:30 p.m. we had to empty the entire thing and wash dishes by hand because the dishwasher wouldnt drain. My LG Fridge Model # LFX28977ST caught on fire. We purchased it 8+ years ago and stopped using the ice maker and water dispenser 3 years ago. It stopped working 3 times and we had it repaired twice but by the third time we turned the ice maker off and shut off the water valve. 3 nights ago it make a noise and my kitchen filled with smoke. We opened the door and found the ice maker black and melted from the fire. All my food was contaminated. I was on the phone with LG to find out it’s not under warranty, no recall is on this model and was offer a technician to come and see if it’s repairable if I pay $125 upfront. I said, No thanks. They opened a ticket with their safety department and said someone will contact me in 24 to 48 hours. It’s been 2 days. No one called. I expect appliances to break down and stop working but not to catch fire and blow up. My stove is right next to the fridge, we are lucky the fire was contained. I purchased an LG refrigerator in March 2015 (Model#LFXS29766S). After about 2.5 years of use, the compressor malfunctioned and it took me over a month of countless calls and emails to finally get LG to service the fridge in December 2017. I advised LG that my parents are elderly and did not have another option to store their food. LG customer representatives showed no empathy or sympathy regarding our situation. They ruined our thanksgiving and we had to throw hundreds of dollars worth of food out. Fast forward to today, 8/25/2020, and the same issue has occurred again and the refrigerator is no longer functioning (will not keep cool and everything has melted in the freezer). A $2800 appliance should not break down twice in 5 years! I am aware that there is a known issue with the LG linear compressor and of a class action lawsuit. I called LG customer service for assistance and was appalled at the unprofessional behavior. The representative had an accent and when I asked him to repeat what he said because I didn’t understand, he said, “you didn’t understand me because you’re not listening”. The rep then asked me to hold but as it had been a while I asked if he was still on the line to which he responded, “I told you to hold so just hold”. The rep then gave me a phone number for a service center but never explained anything or why he was doing so. He then proceeded to hang up without asking me if I had any questions or needed additional assistance. I advised him that I had additional questions and when I inquired about the warranty the rep advised me that the labor is not covered but the part might be but we would need to have a certified LG technician check the appliance first. I’ve worked in the healthcare field for over 20 years and spent a majority of that time in patient facing and customer service roles and would never expect this of any company- it is completely unacceptable! LG’s complete disregard for its customers is not surprising given my first interaction with their company and now hopefully for the last time. I will be contacting a lawyer, spreading awareness on social media platforms, and will reach out to my local news channel to share thus horrendous experience.

Approx 13 months after purchasing this nice LG French Door Refrigerator, Model LFXS30726S, the door display panel had a strange looking black leakage appearing at the bottom. This continues to get worse. It was outside of Mfg warranty (of course), purchased from HHGregg. Took pictures, tried to work with HHGregg, LG, and the service contract company---all said this was a cosmetic issue. No harsh cleaners have been used, no misuse or abuse. Now a year later its even worse. LG customer service is horrible, no help whatsoever. Warranty company continues to say cosmetic. So after spending over $2000 for this refrigerator, its my problem. We purchased LG microwave oven that failed approximately 4 months into the warranty period. The warranty reads that “LG will, at it’s option, will repair or replace the Product“. LG’s policy apparently is not to do either of these things for countertop microwaves. They refused to repair or replace the unit, but suggested that we purchase another unit. They did in fact refund the original price of the unit, but now the unit could only be purchased for $30.00 more. As the request of a customer service agent we submitted the new receipt indicating that a price adjustment would be given. Long story short, not only did we have to do the leg work and go out and find another unit, we have had to absorb the difference in the price. DO NOT BELIEVE THE WARRANTY! Had we known that we couldn’t trust the warranty and the customer service agent, we would have chosen another brand of microwave. Although we have purchased other LG appliances (TVs, dishwashers etc) we will not make that mistake again!

I purchased my LG Steam Washer and Dryer on 11/26/10 from Home Depot. Thankfully, I purchased a 4 year extended warranty. Now a little over a year later, my dryer all of the sudden stops heating. I made a phone call to Home Depot on March 23rd and they contracted the work out to Appliance Solutions of Utah. When they came to do repairs, they said the dryer needed a new thermostat, the part needed to be ordered and they would be back in 3 days to do the repair. Two weeks go by and never heard from the repair guy and he never showed up on the day he said he would (I took the day off work so I could make sure I was here). Finally after 3 weeks, he showed up claiming they got sent the wrong part he replaced the thermostat and was on his way. Five days later (3/28/12), the heating on my dryer went out. I once again called Home Depot. They got the same company out. The very next day, the guy replaces the same part, the thermostat and then tells me that there is nothing wrong with the dryer. He said that I need to get my ducts cleaned out and that I can just use my dryer unhooked from the wall until I get that done. I used my dryer unhooked from the wall and once again, a week later, the heating goes out on the dryer. So, I gave Home Depot a call. Three days later, the same company shows up. Now hes claiming my dryer is out because its not hooked up to the wall but he needs to order a new thermostat again so it can once again get replaced. The repair man said he would be back in 3 days. Over two weeks have passed since he said that, I havent even received a call from the company and he just left my dryer in pieces in my laundry room. I can barely get in there. I am completely fed up with this worthless dryer, Home Depot, and Appliance Solutions of Utah. I dont think LG should be able to get away with selling these fraudulent dryers to people anymore and apparently no one knows how to repair the dumb things so they dont continue to have these problems.

This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer.
This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer. I purchased this washer 2 years ago. I was looking for the largest capacity that I could reasonably afford. I also wanted to save water. I was replacing an old agitator-type GE model that was still going strong after 17 years. Ever since I purchased this machine I have had problems with it giving the UE message (uneven load). Dont even think of using the capacity of this machine to the fullest. Anything above half-full will automatically cause UE messages. Anything bulky like towels or bedding will cause the UE message. Sometimes it gives the UE message for what seems like no reason at all. Basically Ive had to wait downstairs and babysit this machine to get it to finish about half of its loads. As for water savings, whenever the machine gets a UE message, it adds water to try to fix the problem, so any water savings are lost. I am amazed at the amount of water this machine uses. Here is the worst part. Recently while doing a load of laundry, the machine malfunctioned and would not stop filling itself with water. Thankfully I was down there cleaning otherwise I wouldnt have known and my basement would have been flooded. Something has gone haywire and the machine will not stop filling itself with water now every time I try to use it.I purchased the service warranty (something I normally never do) and called the service center and they cannot find a certified repair center anywhere near me (we live near Minneapolis/St. Paul). This afternoon I spent at the laundromat, and my $1,000 paperweight sits downstairs looking pretty. And, theres no one in the Twin Cities area who wants to work on these things apparently. Save yourself the money, time, headaches and stay away from this product!

Bought this brand and paired with washing machine. They have a very poor design that has own default sensor for drying. Dryer lint trap is annoying as the bottom part traps the lints and get stuck instead of going to the mesh. The bottom of the screen is a closed system that traps the lint into the opening. It needs a constant cleaning when noticed the dryer is not drying very well. Mainly this is the most annoying problem and the sensor of dryness of its own. I would not recommend this product. There are better ones out there that does the job properly that might be same amount of money or less.

Bought the LG washer from Lowes and for a few days it worked OK. It then started to vibrate across the floor in our laundry room. We called LG and they sent out a repairman and repaired the washer. It worked for about two loads and then vibrated again. Two different companies came out 4 more times to repair it over the next 3 months. None of those times did they fix the unit. After the 5th time the washer vibrated and flooded out laundry room. We called up LG again and they said they would issue a full refund. The next day we went out and bought a Maytag washer with zero issue so far. To get the refund LG gave us a case number and a link to upload our proof of purchase. After not hearing from them for a month we called them up and said they have no record of them saying we would get a refund. Their customer service is a joke. They claim they have no record of 3 of the repairs and no record of saying they would refund the money for a lemon washer. I will never buy an LG product ever again and will let all my friend know that they should stay away also. We are out $800 for a washer that never worked from day one.

We purchased an LG front load washer (LG WM2688HNM) and dryer in June 2007 from Best Buy. We had constant problems with the washer leaking. We had technicians out almost monthly to try and find the source of the leak without any success. After about five months of complaining to LG’s customer service, they did have Best Buy give us a replacement in June of 2008. Unfortunately, the new machine did the same thing, but not quite as often and more like every two or three months. Again, the technicians cannot find where the leak is occurring from. It does not seem to make any difference how much detergent or bleach one uses. About two years ago the machine started dancing across the floor and vibrating items off the shelves in the laundry room. The technician put pads under the washer that are supposed to keep it in place and reduce the vibrations, but to no avail. It just keeps moving from one side of the laundry room to the other side, so we have to put it back in place until the next load.Oh, by the way, the dryer does not work much better than the washer. It goes through the dry cycle (and it doesn’t seem to matter which one) and the clothes are still damp if not wet. It doesn’t seem to matter if one uses the wrinkle guard or not. One technician suggested that with LG, one needed to use normal if you were doing permanent press, clothes, etc., but they still don’t get fully dried. Based on our experience, I would have to say do not buy LG products. As it stands at this point, I don’t think I would take an LG product if they were to give it to me.

Our new LG model 6323S electric range needed gating used to. Something to consider, LG designers didnt think of the 220 connection at the rear of the range. Unlike my old range, the back cover did not go all the way to the floor, leaving twelve inches clear and unobstructed access to the underside from the rear of the range, this allowed plenty of room for the electrical connection and allowed the heavy wiring to slide under the rear of the appliance and further allowing the range to go all the way back flush against the wall. With this new range, the full rear back cover completely prevent access to the void under the range, there is no room allowing clearance for the connection and storage for the excess heavy wiring, causing the range to stick out from the wall over three inches looking out of place and giving room for items to fall behind the stove. Im strongly contemplating getting rid of this LG range. When purchasing a new range, who would think of such an issue? Wont do the same mistake again.

Bought the WT110C top load with the front panel. Had it for a year now. Beautiful machine. Too bad it takes days to do a load because the machine wont stay balanced. You can babysit this thing for hours trying to get it through a spin cycle. Doesnt matter how you load it, small loads, big ones, mixed clothes, bulky bedding, on and on. I have tried every mode, trick, time, spin mode combination there is and still the dreaded UE code comes on. Occasionally it will make it through a load and when it does the heavens part and the angels sing and I feel like a winner. If you like to spend hours doing laundry and praying over a washer, this is the machine for you. LG needs to stick to cell phones.

We have been having a cooling issues with our LG French Door Refrigerator. We called the 800 243 0000 number a few times. The first time, the associate asked us to reset the unit and wait for 24 hrs. After the unit failed to reset, we called the number since the unit is under warranty. We were told LG does not have service technicians in our area and we will have to go through an authorized service center. The first service center refused to work with us saying they need the original sales receipt even after LG promised to cover the parts. The authorized service center then called me to give an estimate of $1500 without even looking at the unit. After we called LG service to help us find a technician or another service center, the LG executive response team member set me up with another authorized service center, who set up an appointment after LG provided an authorization. We waited for a week for the appointment, only to have the service call and inform us that they made a mistake and will not service LG units. This is after the LG associate was on a conference call with us and the service center a week ago. So after two week of waiting we have no resolution in sight and LG customer service keeps giving us the runaround. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE LG PRODUCTS.

Our just under 3 year old $2700 LG French Door fridge stopped cooling. This one was the type with only the door ice maker that has always sucked and only made enough ice for one large glass a day. LG sent out a tech for $275 (I had to pay in advance) that did nothing and said the coils were dirty and needed to be cleaned and left. I cleaned them and it still is not working. I also did the over the phone diagnostic with the India call center (customer disservice) which was completely useless. I will be doing a dispute on my credit card for the BS service call and hope I can get a real tech to fix it. I also have the 10 year warranty sticker on my door, total scam. I will never buy another LG/GE product ever again.

Like others have mentioned, the lint filter on the dryer lifts up on the corner where the clothes land as they tumble. This causes clothes to catch on the corner of the filter and get destroyed. This also allows more lint to get through past the filter, causing lint to buildup inside the dryer and in the ducts leading outside your home. Weve lost countless articles of clothing. We have replaced the lint filter, but it still sticks out and catches clothes.

I purchased this washer (WT4801CW) new in December 2011 from Home Depot. I have been happy with it until just recently when my washer just stopped in the middle of the wash cycle. I tried to push the power button to re-start the load but the display was dead - no lights, no sounds - nothing! The lid was locked and would not open but my husband figured out how to get lid to open. We manually had to wring out all the towels I had in the washer and then dip out all the water. I called LG but all they told me was that since I didnt buy extended warranty they couldnt help me.Apparently the guy I talked to at LG wasnt in the US as he had no idea how to pronounce Louisville and asked me what KY stood for. My husband is quite the repairman and was able to figure out that the fuse on the noise reducer was bad along with having no power on the main Power Control Board. It cost us around $160 to replace these parts and thankfully my husband was able to do all the work himself. LG stands for Lifes Good, but apparently this is a joke on us!

My husband purchased a LG refrigerator a year and half ago and the compressor is already out. We purchased the extended warranty plan. A technician came out and identified the problem as the compressor. Two weeks later it has not been repaired. The first time the parts were not in. No one call to let us know that no one would show up so we sat for 2 hours waiting for the technician. The second time someone called and cancelled. I am waiting for a third appointment. They have a food replacement form that the technician is supposed to give you once the repair is complete. So I have not been reimbursed for the lost food or the numerous restaurant meals I have purchased since I do not have a refrigerator. This feels like a scam to me.

It was competitively priced versus the competition and I liked the look better. It had most of all the features I was looking for. I had also heard very good reviews regarding LG refrigerators and decide to try it. I like the stainless steel look it had and also the amount of storage it had and also customizable shelving. The freezer also had a ton of storage and temperature controls were included as well. I dont have a whole lot of complaints. It has been and continues to fulfill its purpose. However, if I had one complaint it would be it has no ice maker.

We bought our LG side by side, door in door fridge in June 2017. In less than 2 years, our icemaker quit working. We went through all the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing worked. We spent $95 to have someone come out to diagnose the problem... only to diagnose it incorrectly which cost an additional $180. Another service person was sent out and called into the LG center resulting in diagnosis of the heater element in freezer door not working causing the ice maker to not produce ice. We have been told that the entire freezer door has to be replaced which would be extremely costly. We already spent over $1500 on the fridge and to now in 2 years have to put hundreds of dollars into it for repair. Im outraged and disappointed in the quality of this product.

I purchased an LG top load washer in 3/11 from Best Buy. I had unbalance issues almost from the start. Finally May this year, I contacted a service repair to find out what is going on. They couldnt figure out the problem and called LG for answers. It got them nowhere. I called LG and found out my washer had a recall and they would have a service repair done. They scheduled an appointment that a part had to be ordered so the date had to be changed. 10 days later, the part was put in my washer. It still doesnt work right. I have had 3 service calls on it. Everyone tells me my washer has so many problems dont bother getting it fixed. I have tried to talk to someone at LG to be transferred from one dept. to the next to emailing. The website wont let me make a complaint. I was sent a survey and did let them know my washer still doesnt work and Im very dissatisfied with LG. I have tried everything I can think of to get answers to fix a 2-year old washer. Now Im being told just to buy a new washer. LG service is terrible and their product sucks. I will never buy anything from LG again.

When our old refrigerator quit a little over 2 years ago, my wife and I shopped around and decided to purchased a new LG refrigerator. When the door panel control indicated we needed to replace the air and water filters, we ordered replacements but before the replacement arrived the cooling shut off completely and we lost everything in the refrigerator. We later learned that if the filters are not replaced immediately the cooling shuts off. A little over a week ago and without filter replacement warnings, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working altogether. Again, we lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. LG customer service was not helpful. We were told a repairman would contact us within 24 hours. 48 hours later my wife tracked down the repairman. I note it was not the repairmans fault. The repairman said the electrical operating panel, compressor and something other part were all bad and had to be replaced. Basically rebuilding the refrigerator. Repairman would order the parts. 6 days later we are still waiting. Using a dorm refrigerator from my office to keep milk cold for our two kids. LGs customer service has been totally inadequate and very disappointing.

I had a an old Kenmore dishwasher that lasted some 20+ years. It worked great but after so much use (twice a day!), I had to replace this n that on it but overall it was awesome! The end came when we were no longer able to buy the electronic board to operate (most of the repairs/replacement we did on our own, following the schematics and watching Youtube video instructions). Alas, finally, it died and the search was on for a new dishwasher. I read many reviews and settled on the LG. That was my first mistake. The LG was installed 6.18.18 (model #LDT7808ST). I was very excited to have a new, modern dishwasher after all these years! It was sadly short lived. Just a few short months later, I was sick of hearing the bing bing bing that goes off to alert the user of escaping steam. Except there wasnt any escaping steam. When the repairman came out ($150), he told me it was a problem with this model in that the steam created was leeching into the electronics and causing the board to short out, thus the bing bing bing noises. He replaced the board with a newly designed board to alleviate this issue that LG knew about. Finally the sound stopped and all was well. Except a few months later the binging began again. During the interim, I found on two different occasions, small chunks of black rubber. Now what?? I searched inside the dishwasher but couldnt find anything...until yesterday. Now I realize its part of the cowling that feeds water inside the tub. Unfortunately in order to see exactly whats going on with it, I have to figure out how to remove the lower water arm. And because this cowling has become unstable, its blocking the arm from turning freely. So now I have a lower armature that is half-way turning and binging and bonging and dishes that are being poorly washed. COLOR ME DONE! DO NO BUY THIS BRAND DISHWASHER!! I paid over $1,000 and its falling apart after a year and a half. LG brags that the motor has a ten year warranty. That is little value when the rest of the machine is falling apart before a year is even over!

We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016
We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016 (did not take delivery until mid October). On September 19, 2018 we woke up to a defrosting freezer and non-functioning refrigerator, in under two full years of use. LG customer service told me the part is covered under the sealed system warranty, but labor is not. They offered to cover labor “as a courtesy,” but they did not have a technician available. They gave me the phone number of an authorized repair center and an “APN” number, but when I called I was told they are not currently taking repairs for LG because they have a 3 WEEK backlog.I called LG back and they gave me the only 3 other authorized repair centers in the state of Colorado. Two don’t actually work on refrigerators and the third offered to come out in a week. Took the appointment but called LG back and was told I could call try to find someone to fix it sooner, but they would only cover labor through their providers. When I told them I can’t afford refrigerator repair on a product I bought in good faith that has failed in under two years, I was told “that’s not on LG.”I kept the appointment, sat home all day yesterday (9/25/18) waiting for my 1-3PM repair window, expecting a working fridge by dinner time. At 3:30 the provider arrived, looked at the fridge, said “yep, your compressor is shot. It’ll take 3 days to get the part, then we’ll get you on the schedule for repair. Just understand we’re very busy and seeing a ton of these, so we’re trying to get at least one repaired daily.” So I have no idea how long it’s going to take. My family of 7 is living out of a dorm sized (Whirlpool) fridge. I’m going to the store up to 3 times a day to get food I can make immediately and a half gallon of milk at a time for my 5 kids. We bought an entire kitchen suite of LG appliances at the same time and are now terrified they’re all going to fail and it won’t be “on LG.” As I’m sharing with friends, at least 3 have had the same issue, one within the month and her fridge was newer than mine.

The LG-WM3997HWA washers drain system is bad and the dryer doesnt dry! I spoke to a couple of LGs support people and the first one sent out a repair person because the machine doesnt dry. The repair person found nothing wrong. I called again because the machine still didnt dry and LG was again going to send out a repair person... I then called the repair person and he said these machines never dry and that if he came again, he would just check the specs and the specs were correct. So I called LGs support people again and this time the lady told me that the machine only dries to 90%. In point of fact, it doesnt really dry. I tried it using half the wash load and I think that after hours of drying, it was wetter than when it first came out of the wash. I now have to buy a dryer. I have been trying to dispute this with Goedekers the company that I purchased this machine from, but their policy is once its delivered, its yours. It makes no sense to me at all that they sell a washer/dryer that doesnt dry. I have used these kinds of machines in Japan and they work perfectly. It does take hours, but the wash comes out dry at the end and you dont have to remove half the wash to get it that way. Also your design for the machines drainage is horrible. To have the water drain out so close to the floor makes no sense. I used a flat tray to catch the water, but it is virtually impossible to control the flow and most of the time, it makes a mess. This is probably the worst appliance that I have ever bought. At this point, I now have to buy a dryer to put on top of the machine because the reason I bought it in the first place is because my laundry room is tiny. The point is that they should not be selling this machine and the public should be warned not to buy it.

Originally, I purchased the front load LG but realized that I couldnt soak clothes. I gave it to someone in need and purchased the LG WaveForce top loading. Wish I would have read reviews before buying. I cant get through one load without the machine being UE. Water will fill the machine as it tries to self-correct - what a waste of water! I cant leave the house and more specifically, I cant leave the laundry room (Im typing from the laundry room). It takes a couple of hours to wash one load of clothes. Water is never hot.The sink right next to the washer has hot water but I can barely get lukewarm for washing sheets and towels. Soaking clothes - well once I set it on soak and as soon as the machine filled, I turned it off, thinking it would soak until I restarted the washer. Wrong! The water slowly drains out. Next machine will be a top loading inexpensive washer like i use to have. GIVE ME BACK A SIMPLE MACHINE THAT ACTUALLY WASHES WITH MORE THAN A GALLON OF WATER!

I purchased the Model#WT4870C*W LG White Top Load Washing Machine 12/20/13, purchase price $599. And because my husband and I traveled for 18 months this machine got less than average use. This is the worst machine I have ever owned, reasons are as follows, does not clean clothes, the clothes come out dirtier than when they went in and yes I wash my tub with tub cleaner very often. Does not use enough water to cover the clothes and even when I use extra rinse. Clothes come out with soap and dog hair all over them. The top of the tub on the rim stays filthy. I get cleaner clothes from old laundromat machines. Sometimes clothes come out still dry in spots. How can this be. I believe LG should return everyones money and get out of the business. Same goes for their TVs. I will go back to agitator style from Maytag if I can find one. Very disgusted with this purchase, a waste of my money, I will never buy LG, again...

Updated on 10/08/2020: LG asked for information on 9/30/2020 so they can send out a repairman and I havent heard from anyone since. I have two kids to feed and I need my stove, it would be of great service if LG would honor their word and product.Original Review: We replaced all of our GE appliances that we had well over ten years with LG because of the design and salesman said its a good product. The gas range model# LRG3193BD, side by side refrigerator model #LSXS26386D, dishwasher model #805KWYPOP434 and the front load washer and dryer spending a good $8000 less than 2yrs ago. The stove looks like its 10yrs old (easy clean is a whole joke, food seared on pretty blue oven which I now have to clean myself). We have discoloration on the door handle, knobs, grates and burners all within a couple months of use.. Now the main board has gone out and to top that off we find out it has since been discontinued. Called LG customer service (nightmare). They refused to sell us the part saying only license repair Co can order. Had to pay repair Co $116 come to tell us they cannot get the part. Called LG again (nightmare) and all of a sudden they can send us the part for $106 but its on backordered. The refrigerator is discoloring in areas we dont even touch and the ice-maker starts and stops when it wants to. The dishwasher doesnt clean or dry well and the slightest touch turns it on. Where you put the detergents has rusted and its hard to clean and we have to leave the washer open after use or it smells to high heaven, dryer is ok. Remember these products are no more than 2yrs old. I will never buy LG products again nor will I recommend to anyone!

I am also questioning how does consumeraffairs.com get paid? As the brand disappears on you after saying talk in private and there is no option for the consumer to ask why or post another comment. I plan to buy another washer /dryer if this fraud company is unable to fix my machine by Friday 5/29/2020 and I have already filed a ticket with BBB and plan to do that Virginia consumer affairs as well. Prior history is below.Updated on 05/20/2020: After telling me to communicate in private yesterday 5/20/2020, LG disappeared again? Buying more time? After officially waiting 41 days and unofficially over 70 days why does LG need more time? Constantly telling your customers to wait 5 days at a time to receive service calls, which is actually 11 calendar days is, to be polite, an unfair and corrupt strategy. Can someone help me get a return voucher so I dont have to wait anymore? LG has proven they cannot be trusted for service and I dont want to spend next 5 years with this cutting edge technology or the horrible service. Looking for someone higher who can make my Life Good as since I have bought LG my Life is Not good without a working washer. 12 days ago David a manager had promised he will personally make sure he calls me today. That didnt happen either. Please understand its not easy to be without a washer for a family with 4 kids.Original review: Bought LG Duet Steam True Balance Model WM3900HBA in December 2019. Was delivered and installed in my home in January 2020. From the beginning continued to give D1, D2 and other errors and within two months completely died of DE error on March 10, 2020. I had bought extra warranty and service from Best Buy but was told to contact LG since first year of service they provide.LG service is horrible. First ticket created with them, was on April 11 2020 they set up a repair appointment, no one showed up. I called back the lady said just wait and expect a call. Waited three weeks and called again several times on the 7th, ladies would not understand English, On April 8th finally got a hold of a rep, asked to be escalated to to a manager which was the infamous Louis. I asked him I need a return voucher. He said they require 3 weeks of suffering before they would return.Created a new ticket and asked me to wait 5 days. On the fifth day no call from LG. Called on Friday they said their 5 days will be on Tuesday (in 11 days). Today, the 11th day, 5/19/2020 called again and first lady hung up on me as I asked for a manager and didnt want to repeat what I have repeated 50 times. Second time got to a manager called David. He told me today to again wait. LG policy is that without any help for 3 weeks they would return. I keep on asking for a return voucher as suggested by Best Buy and LG won’t respond.

I purchased a $ 2600 2015 LG French door refrigerator, LFXC24726*S, in November 2014. Now after only 17 months of actual use the whole system failed. Now Im no math major but a product this expensive should not be breaking down so soon. Its been two weeks and the repairman still hasnt received the part to fix the problem. No wonder Home Depot advised me to get the protection plan. In the future I will not be buying anymore LG PRODUCTS. Life is not so good when the consumer purchases a LG APPLIANCE.

LDC22720SW - Since purchased 4 years ago the icemaker spits out ice all over floor whenever open freezer. Should have complained since reading reviews and see it happens to everyone but never resolved issue anyhow. Took out extended 3 year warranty and refrigerator & freezer totally fail two months after warranty up. Unit is only 4 years and two months old. Not worth a circuit board replacement of $400 or even a service call of $250. Will never buy another LG appliance.

I bought an LG washer at Best Buy in 07. After less than 2 years, the gears went in the front load. I purchased an extended warranty through Best Buy and they had a service tech come out and diagnose it. They said it would be too much to fix so they replaced it. I was downgraded but I was just happy to have my washer back. That was September 09. I bought another extended warranty through Best Buy. Now, another 2 years later, it has stopped spinning and wont drain. I contacted Best Buy and they told me that my warranty expired in September 2011. They told me to contact the manufacturer. So I called LG and they said that they will not do anything. I then emailed LG to tell them that I was unhappy and I believe if you pay over a thousand dollars for a washer it should last for more than two years. They then emailed me back and told me again that there was nothing they could do about it and thanks for choosing LG and be blessed. That made me furious . The state of Maine has a 4-year implied warranty through the manufacturer. Dont buy anything LG . They dont stand behind their product.

We purchased a refrigerator from a chain, product arrived to our home in good shape. While install, installers dropped door and smashed ice maker. Had to take fridge back and it took two months to receive new fridge. When new one arrived they had to take doors off. Upon reinstalling the doors the door with ice in it, it was uneven with other door. When we asked about this they said that once ice was in door it would settle. It didn’t. We called store. They said we had to contact manufacturer. We called them and waited to receive a callback. Never received call. We called back and LG told us they would have installers back out to fix refrigerator. Company never showed. Called LG again and never received a callback again. We called back again and was told that company no longer does work for them. They told us that they would send someone else out, never showed. We call but it takes a while to receive calls back. We are now told that it has been too long and we would need to pay someone to come out and fix it. It has never been right since purchase and we can not get the store or the manufacturer to make this right. We continue to just get promises until it has been too long for any help.

Bought a LG Top loading washing machine WT5270CW and the motherboard failed in 2 1/2 months. The failure caused the washing machine to continue filling up with water and overflowing onto the floor. It flooded out our garage and fortunately was discovered before it flooded the entire home. LG warranty service is horrible. They have you troubleshoot it, so they can save the cost of a repairman coming out. Their LG repairmen never call you nor show up for schedule appointments. LG, themselves, when you question what is going on, admit they dont have the parts on hand to fix it. Come to find out, my parts are on back order for 7-10 days. They further tell you that they have 30 days to fix or replace. In the meantime, I have dirty clothes piled to the roof. Do Not Buy LG! Never so unhappy with a product and company.

This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number lab
This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number label and paperwork stating that we would not hold LG responsible for a hush money settlement of $264.00. The offer had expired while we were pursuing our legal options, so we called and talked to a gal named Courtney who said, “No problem. Send in the paperwork and we will honor the cash hush payment originally offered.” We received a phone call today from a person named Sunyung who originally had made the offer. She informed us that now the offer had gone down to $194.00, because Courtney had no authority to authorize a hush payout. Then, she proceeded to complain and tell me that communication between the people in customer service wasnt what it should be. I told her that sounded like an internal problem and I was not being paid to listen to her and try to figure out how the communication could be rectified within her department! I asked to speak to her superior, and she gave me to Michael. Michael told me that yes, the part was warrantied, but I got one of the small percentage of refrigerators that were unfixable, basically the lemon model, and thats just how the ball bounces. They still would not honor the warranty and told me since the fridge was now a month older, it was worth $70.00 less! This thing hasnt worked for 9 months! I think I will just wait for the class action suit that I am sure will be coming up in the next few years when a lawyer gets a hold of this and wants to make some easy money. I dont care if I get only an 18 cents payout. It is now the principle of the situation. I did tell Michael he could be president with all his doublespeak and asked him why they want to beat their customers up so badly. First, they lie about their warranties; then, they offer you hush money; then, they renege on that. No ethics with these people. Obviously, they have no faith in God because this is just not how you treat people. Life sometimes just isnt fair. This is one of those times.

LG Wave Force HE machine, True Balance Anti-Vibration System, Inverter Direct Drive - bought about 18 mo. ago. First thing company did was sent me a check returning my warranty $$. I paid extra for 5-yr. added warranty. Have fought this machine since day 1 with finishing a cycle without the UE error coming on. I have king beds so our linens are larger but I do not overload. If anything, I underload to avoid the unbalancing of the tub. I even put the spin on medium in attempt to be easier on the machine. I am so sick of this thing!! I am going to sell it to the highest bidder on a Swip Swap page and hope they have better luck with it. Worst machine EVER! Seriously. It shakes so hard I am surprised there isnt a hole in the wall. All I remember is buying from Sears with a great big 10-year warranty on the front of the machine. Cant wait to get rid of this thing.

I’ve been told that they don’t last over 10 years. I’ve been in contact with LG several times in the last 6 was. Every time I call I get a different excuse why they haven’t sent the confirmation letter to get it fixed, total run around. First they told me they sent it, a lie, all I’m getting is lies. I’ve lost everything in my freezer. Very, very poor service. If you’re going to make and sell then you should stand behind it. NEVER again will I buy an LG product and I’m telling everyone I know. DLEX3470W - Steam Fresh stopped working. Called LG - this unit less than two years old. They say no warranty. Called repair service tech. Showed me voltage going from ecb to heater when power switch on, dryer turned off, and panel breaker on, to steam heater and steam heater burnt open. So ecb and heater bad. Major safety issue. Unit off and power going to heater from ecb when off - fire hazard. Cost of repair $461.57. Dryer cost $900.00 hum. Dryer is unsafe. Also serviceman trying to get part price while here got no help from LG. There are no safety circuits to protect unit from failures like I had. Board fails, burns out more devices. Cost of ownership in a little over a year $1500.00, plus not a good value.

I bought my LG cabinet model French Door with see through cooler and it was delivered December 10, 2018. Since owning, the compressor has been replaced, the computer board replaced and now it is totally dead as there are bad circuits in the electrical housing based on a LG repairman’s assessment. The unit is now in the garage and I had to purchase another new unit. I bought this unit from Best Buy but with the warranty from the manufacturer I did not buy their product insurance policy.I lost three refrigerator full groceries due to malfunctions on three different occasions. The company sent out repair folks, and parts took as long as two to four weeks to appear. We were storing food in purchased coolers and finally bought a small freezer whilst waiting for help or replacement products from LG. It might get fixed and work for three months then would go out of whack. I’d call LG. Repair person would show within a week. This guy would order a part (compressor or board). Wait two more weeks. Fixed but back it would be within a few months and break again. But the latest episode was a matter of days before it went down again. I need to get action and do not know who to call. This product died after one and a half years.

We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us
We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us in 2010. Last year, after 6 years, our daughters LG washing machine broke down. This year, yesterday, our 7 year old LG washing machine broke down - in each case it was the motor - you could hear the defective motor. The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

I called LG service department to warranty my dishwasher pump motor for loud grind, knock noise and found my warranty void due to me diagnosing my own dishwasher (my factory warranty will only cover the part not labor). I offered to send the motor to LG confirm default in pump and I offered to pay a LG service tech to diagnose and confirm the problem with the pump motor and let LG refund me for the service call after confirmation of default, but turned down for both. My only option would have been to pay labor for diagnosis and repair to receive my warranty part for a 6-year-old dishwasher, but does not matter now. It does wash the dishes clean, but is noisy and slow. I like that I can pick a bottom or a top wash or both. Its white, so can go with any kitchen, but is getting a bit long in the tooth. It cannot take really good water pressure as it causes it to make a high pitched sound and water has to be turned back to a trickle. The door did not last long - I am going to call it. LG Lifes Good? LG - Laundrys Grubby - Just like everyone else, I am incredibly frustrated with my top-loading LG WT4801CW clothes washer (purchased from Home Depot). I spend more time and money redoing many loads of clothes because they just do not get clean and sometimes a streak of dirt is left on the clothes, so back to rewashing the same small load of clothes again and again. It is nasty. It gives me error messages of being unbalanced even when I am doing a tub clean cycle and there is no clothes in the machine at all. Ive had the service people out 3 times. Updated on 05/22/2020: Our refrigerator died on May 8th and now 15 DAYS LATER we still do not have a resolution from LG. I just tried calling the latest number they gave us to call puts you on hold for 10 minutes and then hangs up on you. I have wasted 40 minutes so far trying to talk to a person. I am on medication that suppresses my immune system which makes my in an at risk category for COVID. We were trying to limit our trip out during this time but now my husband has to do daily shopping because we have no frig - putting me at more risk. This is all absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to have a company have no regard for an essential item like a refrigerator and the impact that has on your daily life when you dont have one.Original Review: We purchased a new LG Refrigerator in March of 2018 on night Thursday, May 7th the refrigerator completely died. To add insult to injury, my husband has just gotten groceries that day, so the frig and the freezer were fully stocked, and we lost almost everything. We contacted LG first thing Friday morning and had to leave a message with a call back number. They never called us back, so on Saturday morning, we called again, and this time spoke with a person who only told us that it seems that the linear compressor has failed and she would put in a request for a local service provider to contact us.It is now Monday, May 11th, and we still have not been contacted by a service provider. During this time of COVID-19 we are trying very hard to only go to the store once a week for essentials. This is next to impossible now that we are living out of an ice chest and a tiny dorm/beverage refrigerator that we have in our entertainment room. After doing some research online, I discovered that the linear compressor failing after about 2 years is extremely common and that LG has known about the problem since 2014 but continues to manufacture and sell these faulty products. We also talked to a local appliance repair company, and they will NOT service LG refrigerators. They did not feel right about installing the new linear compressors in peoples refrigerators because it is the exact same part (the linear compressor), and it just ends up failing again. They did not want their companies reputation ruined by LGs faulty parts. So here we are, no refrigerator and no service. I am beyond disappointed LG. We spent close to $3000 on this refrigerator, and my husband is currently out of a job, so we do not have any money to have to buy a new refrigerator right now.

Bad product. They try to keep repairing to our detriment. 5th issue with fridge in 5 months all recorded thrugh LG Service. Started May 2019, not cooling. Called LG. Arranged repair (took 4 weeks, try keeping family of 6 with no fridge for a month!). Replace coolant, tested. 3 days later - same issue. Call LG. Arrange for repair (another 3-4 weeks). Apparently wanted leak tested properly and lost coolant. They needed to order repair part to rebuild the coolant system in my kitchen (another 4-6 weeks for parts). Repaired. Next day display on front showed error, turned out repairman forgot to plug a cable in. Few months later, not cooling....want to send another repair (different company than first 4 times!!). Matthew in Executive Service (very poorly trained at customer service)! I just want to get rid of this headache and am being told I need a receipt (from 5 years ago??) to initiate the refund. We purchased a LG front load washer (LG WM2101H) in June 2009. We had to have it repaired in May 2010. When washing using cold water, the detergent would not dispense. It would only dispense when washing with warm or hot water. Now, it is doing the same thing! We have noticed since using this machine that our clothes (t-shirts mostly) get pin size holes in them and after some washes, the clothes have brown streaky stains all over. First time buyer - Purchased brand new suite of Lg appliances. Front burner dials on stovetop are a huge fire hazard. Our dog apparently was trying to get to something that was on the stovetop and was able to turn a burner on. Our whole house was filled with thick smoke and soot and almost went up in flames. Luckily we arrived home when we did - to save the dog and before it took the whole house up. Brand new stove top cracked and ruined and a whole house of ash to scrub - including all my brand new white cabinets from my kitchen remodel. Then, as I was leaning over the stove to wipe off the under cabinets my hip turned a burner on. These burners dials are a major fire hazard.

Im not typically a person who takes the time to write reviews, but felt it was necessary to at least call out the so many wrongs with this product and the service that follows... IN CASE IT HAPPENS TO YOU. I read the reviews and saw some of the complaints about frost build up and thought, eh it wont happen to me... WRONG. Not only was I wrong, but during COVID-19, sending a tech inside your home to fix a problem with a fridge that is LGs poor quality performance is frustrating enough, BUT having that same problem occur again 24 hours later - NOT ACCEPTABLE. LGs only recommendation is to send a tech out again. HOME DEPOT is not held blameless in this either. Instead of standing by their customer and offering an exchange/refund, they explain that its an LG problem, not Home Depot. AWFUL. A day after the frost build up still hadnt been fixed, a grinding noise began, the plastic that divides the two doors broke off, and the error message showed up and wouldnt reset. To this day I have an error message on my fridge, a loud grinding noise and a frost build up freezer that doesnt work. My food goes bad earlier and earlier each week. LG said all they can do is send a tech out. I have a son with an autoimmune disease. I refuse to have more techs come to the house during this pandemic. LG has zero understanding of peoples rights and needs during this time. The answer is lets send a technician out on a work day to work on the same exact problem that they never fixed in the first place!! This is just a snippet of the issues, not to mention, their customer service EXECUTIVE lead member hanging up on me after I waited over an hour due to call volume. RUDE! Nightmare purchase, poor quality fridge that breaks down a month after you buy it... The worst customer service for both Home Depot and LG.

I have setup a website lgwarn.com to further document our experience and provide photos and LGs denial letter. We purchased an LG Front loading washing machine that opened up during a wash cycle and LG is refusing to cover any of the damages to our home. This is particularly egregious because LG is aware that if their front loading machines over fill with water that the door will pop open. LG is knowingly selling front loading washers that will open if, for whatever reason, they get too full of water.MODEL NAME: WM2650HRA SERIAL NUMBER: 306PNAJ6G432. PURCHASE DATE: 4/20/2014 Retail price $1,099.00. It worked perfectly until 5/10/2014 when during a sanitation wash cycle the front door opened and poured water out causing over $3000 (supported by estimates from licensed contractors) of damage to our living space by ruining wall to wall carpet and some of the sub floor. On 5/10/14 LG service representative admitted that too much water would open the door. On 5/19/14 ** also stated that too much water would cause the door to open. This proves that LG was well aware of this feature of their front loading washing machines.5-20-2014 LG Call ** Representative Katie refused to provide smart diagnosis report from 5/10 incident and refused to provide her last name but transferred me to a supervisor. 5-20-2014 Adrian ID** seemed surprised that two people at LG had admitted the defect regarding the door opening. On 6/16/2014 our claim was denied by LG. We have filed a formal complaint against LG with the North Carolina Dept of Justice Consumer protection dept.

This washing machine (LG WT4870C) is a complete waste of money and never works properly. Every load goes unbalanced. I even tried to clean it today, as the repairman suggested, and it went off balance with no clothes in it. Unbelievably frustrated and angry at this point. Do not buy LG.

What a HORRIBLE company. My refrigerator compressor went out after only 3 years. We have an extended warranty. They failed to show for the service appt, did not notify me via the text chain they CONFIRMED from, called from a FRAUDULENT NUMBER and then said THE CUSTOMER was unavailable? I called that day and rescheduled for 2 days later. They still did not show up. I called and they said they closed the claim because they NEVER HEARD FROM ME after the first appt???? Yes. they did (in fact their EXECUTIVE SUPPORT LINE HEARD FROM ME) and they told me my rescheduled day and time was today 8-12. At this point, they said it was going to be ANOTHER WEEK?! Why NO PRIORITY when THEY caused these delays?? Finally agreed to allow for and outside service provider to come out. I called him immediately and he was amazing. He was there within 30 min to assess the situation. Between him coming and 2 hours later, I got a NEW case number with a NEW service provider (which I didnt need or ask for) and they CANCELLED THE TICKET HE WAS WORKING FROM!!!! Now he cant order parts for me, and they expect me to sit home ALL DAY tomorrow to wait for another technician to come out?? I have never experienced a worse customer service situation in my life. I will never buy anything LG again and will definitely be spreading my story anywhere I can. Still no fridge, lost all of our food and no resolution or ounce of compassion from this company. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Ive posted on this site regarding my Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Now Im posting regarding my BRAND NEW LG stackable washer and dryer. After much researching online regarding stackable washers and dryers, I finally went with the LG brand. My Maytag washer went dysfunctional after 6 months. For the following 8 months, I had Maytag repair guys at my home, every two weeks, to fix the same exact problem. I had an error code that flashed on the machine. It was THE same code each and every time. Every part that was replaceable on the machine had been replaced, yet the problem continued. Maytag customer service is HORRIBLE.Now LG. The washer, when pumping water into the machine, caused a loud thumping in my walls. The vibration of the washer caused a rubbing and squelching noise from the dryer stacked on top. The company is well aware of the dryer problem and told me, There is nothing we can do about it. They are selling a machine they KNOW has a problem. The washer problem was an electrical problem, also not fixable. And when a certified LG technician comes to your home and tells you in all honesty that he has nothing good to say about his company, then THIS IS A MAJOR problem. The machines are 2 DAYS OLD AND DO NOT WORK. Customer service is HORRENDOUS. I literally spent an entire day talking with customer service. It was only when I was speaking with the 8TH representative that a repair appointment was finally made. One representative actually asked me this, Can you describe the noise? Can you better describe the noise? Can you give different words to describe the noise? Who knew there were so many ways to ask the same exact question repeatedly? I also had to repeat answers to other questions as well.Needless to say, the machines will be returned and I am on the hunt for a different brand. The problem is, when you go to research the variety of brands, all of them have complaints. And what I have noticed is that for the majority of brands, their machines become dysfunctional at the two year mark. This is pretty shabby, considering you are spending close to $1000 or more per machine. I just dont have thousands of dollars every year to spend on appliances because the companies out there, cant seem to make durable products anymore. My parents have Kenmore appliances. Theyve had the same appliances for YEARS and no problems. What happened to decent machines? And what the heck happened to great customer service?? If there was a 10 star option for the worst service and machines imaginable, I would choose that.

After many years of being professionals in the working world, we have hit on the WORST product and service from an appliance manufacturer. Our washer was just over 12 months old when we began to experience relentless problems such as continuous UE signals, subsequential refilling of the washer tub, prolonged run times up to 4 hours, and soaking wet clothes even after the spin cycle was completed. We called LG Customer Service and were told in so many words---too bad but it is your problem. We have been Honda car owners for 30 years and cannot say enough good about their customer service and working WITH us when any problems occurred. As a result, we have told many others to buy Honda and they will NEVER be disappointed. We were just told by a repairman that the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced to the tune of $234.00. This on a washer that is now about 15 months old. Quality control must not be existent at LG. In this case, we WILL tell all those we know NEVER to buy a LG product of any sort.

I hope this get out there and other see this... I own an LG washer (front loader) and it trashes our clothes. Its so bad that it actually dictates what color clothes we should buy because it leaves black marks all over our nice shirts. I cannot afford to just buys another washer SO WE ARE STUCK WITH THIS PIECE OF JUNK! I had an extra warranty on it and had the repair guy over many times to look at it, he replaced everything he could think would cause it and still leaving black marks on our cloths. I am typing this at work, I did not realize my shirt I am wearing today was marked all up until my coworker said something. Talk about embarrassing. Bottom line LG sucks for washers and will never in my life buy another one, I will go back to hand washing my cloths! Thank you LG for putting something on the market which cost me lots of money and it wrecked my cloths. A big thank you! A valuable lesson learned.

As others have stated, DO NOT purchase an LG machine! This is literally the worst appliance I have ever owned. The second worst would be the dryer. Clothes are literally shredded, never clean, frequently takes all day to do a load of clothes. LG customer service acts like you dont know how to do laundry. Ive been doing laundry for almost 30 years and never had a problem until their machines. I will never purchase another LG product in my lifetime. I would pay twice the price for any other brand. I have included pictures of what this machine did to my favorite quilt. The rust spots you see in the pictures were from the machine. They were not on the quilt before I put it in the washer. It literally just destroyed the quilt.

WM2050CW - We purchased this machine in 2010 and it seemed the answer to all our prayers. It worked great, cleaned well and the clothes were almost dry when they were done - very little time in the dryer to get them done. The machine wasnt cheap but it would save energy and use less water and of course cut down on dryer time. Then this year problems arose and it was out of warranty. No problem, I thought, just call a repairman and all will be good. WRONG. Found out most will not work on the Korean made LGs. The parts are hard to get and expensive and the service from LG itself is horrible. This coming from the tech that we finally found to come out and work on it. Great we thought, get it fixed and back to washing. WRONG again. Pump was shot and the supports on the center drum were beginning to go. Okay how much to fix? We asked. $400 for the pump which could take up to two weeks to even get and up to a $1000 to replace the supports. OUCH!!!! Needless to say repairs were not done. Called several repair businesses to get a recommendation for a replacement. All came up with the same answer...... DONT buy another front loader. Reason: not built to last, parts are expensive, and some brands like LG nobody will work on. So we went back to the good old top loader and it is a Speed Queen and it has a 3 year warranty and according to all the repair people we talked to it is one of the most dependable out there. The best part it is made here in the good ole USA..... If you think front loaders are great look them up on youtube and see what happens when the supports go............ SCARY.

After less than a year began having OE error codes appear and dishwasher stopping in mid-cycle. Did diagnostic over phone with LG and said it was probably pump. Read reviews and saw some who said they replaced pump, control board and no better. I used shop vac to suck out water, then took long time balancing dishwasher, then re-routed drain pipe up high, instead of cabinet floor. Has worked since with only filter cleaning every few loads. Still a horrible machine, but working for now. Hope this helps. Good luck. Next purchase I will read ALL reviews before buying.

We have already had the dishwashers front panel replaced once because of mysterious stains that appeared (off white/greyish color) and now it is happening again. The shape of the stains are very odd and could not be splatter or drips. Is anyone else having this problem? I believe the stains are coming from within the door.... While trying to get a pic of stains, I just noticed my dishwasher leaks too!

I bought a LG 2 door refrigerator with the freezer below in 2017, from Sears as a Kenmore Elite. The unit has a fan freeze up issue in the refrigerator section. I called Sears Service for repair since LG will not deal with a Sears product of theirs. I paid Sears $584 to come and replace the fan, and fan control. This was the FIX that LG told Sears would solve the problem. Its now 4 months after the |fix and the problem is back!. Its now past the Sears warranty, so I will have to pay again f I want this LG piece of garbage fixed again. Bottom line is simple. DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR FROM ANYONE EVER.
