We purchased a LG Red Washer and dryer front loading machines with two WDP4R Red pedestal. WM2650HRA washer and DLEX2650R dryer in 01/18/13 with just a few days of delivery we noticed the drum wobbled and didnt seem to balance well. So we called Home Depot where we had purchased them and they sent out a repairman who told us after getting rid of our 29 year old washer that we had a lot to learn about the new washer and dryers. What an understatement that turned out to be. He told my wife we would have to learn to sort clothing by texture as well as color, in order to get the tub to not wobble as much. I couldnt believe he said that and went on to say I have a lot to learn and stated we as consumer have been ripped off. He went on and said that due to environmental concerns and government mandates to manufactures this is what we have to deal with. Over time the washer started to make more and more noise and about two years from the date of purchase the noise has become deafening, so I called a repairman and he told me to take the phone in the laundry room so he could listen over the phone and told me, we had a bearing out, and the repair cost would be $950.00 to repair the washer. Keep in mind we have two people in our family so we have 4 to 5 loads of washing a week on average. For LG to take advantage of consumers with inferior washers is wrong and a class action lawsuit against LG should be started.

The lint cover protrude into the dryer instead of sitting flush. This protrusion causes the damage to my clothes and can also cause the additional buildup of lint. Which is a fire hazard. Very unhappy! After reading a ton of reviews sounds like I am not the only unhappy customer.

The ridiculous LG HDTV refrigerator, no replacement parts - Wayne Park, President of LG headquarters in New Jersey, has not returned my numerous phone calls to repair/replace their digital refrigerator of tomorrow. Folks, this refrigerator has serious functionality issues and LGs customer service told me that there are no replacement parts anywhere in the world, not even in Malaysia. Life is not good in our kitchen and I am still waiting for Wayne Park to call me to replace this ridiculous, expensive, non-functional refrigerator.

As a new home owner, we purchased a full line of LG products. Extremely excited to have the new sleek appliances in our new home, we felt accomplished. After 3 years of ownership, we started having a problem with the ice dispenser freezing. We called into the service desk. They said this wasnt covered in the manufacturers warranty. After replacing a few parts here and there (being parts changers), we decided to call in a repairman. They let us know that the problems we were having have been covered under the warranty, and that we needed to call LG back. After calling in the service center, they agreed to allow one of their servicemen come in and service our unit. Their technicians came in and removed our refrigerator (for 2 months). They brought it back with a new compressor and a bill for the labor. They explained that if the computer board on the front of the unit was not working, we would need to replace that portion out of pocket. So we purchased the circuit board ($100), but the unit still did not work. We called back in to LG. They said we purchased the wrong one. We needed to purchase the other ($80). So we did, but still nothing. After talking with a friend, I decided to purchase the capacitor. The part was delivered on Saturday. I installed the part and 10 minutes later, the part exploded. Literally, white smoke blowing into the ceiling of the kitchen. After replacing parts, paying for parts that were not the problem and getting the runaround from the service center, we purchased a Whirlpool. We will never purchase another LG product again. We will make sure that all of our friends and neighbors hear our story. Most of them have had the same problem with LG.

I bought a French Door refrigerator in June of 2016. It completely stopped cooling in August of 2018. Called LG who sent me through some basic troubleshooting and gave me phone numbers to technicians that arent helpful. One sound sketchy (answers the phone Hello) and insisted I make an appointment thru a non-existent website or send an email to his Gmail. One said they wont service my town. One has yet to call me back. I called a reputable but non-LG-authorized repair service who said it would cost $1,200 for a new compressor and I would have to deal with LG myself (I think to buy the compressor). Given the reviews about back ordered parts, and lack of authorized techs, Im left to wonder how long I wait for the other technician to call me back, argue in vain with LG or just buy a new refrigerator. Very open to joining a class action lawsuit. I certainly dont make enough money to replace expensive items every two years. Reading up on refrigerators, old fashioned top freezer refrigerators are a whole lot cheaper and fail less often.

My washer quit before completing its cycle. When I opened it to unload my laundry, it was still full of water. I closed the door and pressed the rinse/spin button. But it stopped again before completion, and the same thing again. This time I couldnt even open the door. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, after pushing buttons, it went completely through the rinse/spin cycle. I dont want to call La Mesa Appliance who is a factory approved service for LG, because I called them some months ago when the softener cup held water after the washer had completed its cycle. The repairman said this was normal, but it hadnt done this before, so I dont believe that. Meanwhile, I pull the drawer out and empty it after each wash. Im unsure whom to call for repairs.

I purchased an LG oven as a gift for my sons family in February 2013. After 6 months the oven stopped working. My son called LG and had a repair person come to the house. He had to wait over 3 weeks for the appointment, even after offering to be home at any hour. He has small children and trying to make meals for the 3 weeks was a challenge. Once the oven was repaired we all thought it was good to go. In January 2014 the same problem occurred but this time LG said they cannot get the part (after my son and his family waited another 3 weeks for an appointment). My son and I have spoken to LG and they offered to pay us back for what we paid. Of course they refuse to replace it. It is not longer an item that they make and since we got it on sale so a new LG will cost much more than what they are offering to give us. Shame on you LG. When I purchased my oven, not an LG, and it did not work properly, not only was it replace but it was replaced the next day. I will never purchase anything made by LG again. Customer service says it all and LG does not have it. From a customer of anything but LG.

Last Christmas we bought an LG French Door Refrigerator. This past August it started making a noise. My husband called LG. They sent out a repairman and he said that it was not defrosting. He opened the back of the refrigerator, it had a chunk of ice which was making the noise. He replaced the computer board and stated that would fix the problem. On September 7 I noticed the freezing section was not cold. With a temperature gun my husband noted that the temperature was only 32 degrees and according to the computer setting on the refrigerator it should have been 0 degrees. From this point on our nightmare started.Another repairman come out at 8:30 Thursday the 8 in the morning and stated that it need a computer board. It was replaced a second time. At four oclock that afternoon my husband check the freezer. It only registered 32 degrees. From this point on it has been a series of phone calls to LG customer service. My husband even talked to a supervisor on Monday the 12 who stated that the last repairman sent in a recommendation that the refrigerator should be replaced. After more phone calls to LG they now says that they will fix it for a third time. We are at our wits end. We called hhgregg where we bought the refrigerator from and of course their help was minimal. If and when our problem is fixed, I will not recommend LG products to no one.

2017 FH4U2VCN Front load washing machine - Quite the most unreliable machine I have purchased in 60 years. Constantly stops at the rinse/spin stage with uneven load flagged. After 6 months of this I had LG engineer call and make the usual excuses too much load, too little load, wrong type of mix. What a load of tosh. To placate me he replaced the motor and housing to what seems no improvement whatsoever. It is now 12 months old and unless it is fixed once and for all it will go back to Currys and legal action will follow. The machine fails to complete on average three out of every five washes. At this point Currys is not in the picture as servicing has to go through LGs totally abysmal website where they cant even manage to email you that your complaint has been received - just warning you only to sent report once! What the blazes is that about?

I have had nothing but problems with our LG Waveforce top load washing machine. Since day one, it has been unbalanced in almost every single load. It doesnt matter if its a small load, normal size or large load. It is always unbalanced. Because of this issue, the machine tries to fix itself, which ends up using 2-3 times the amount of water just trying to get it balanced. So, when you buy this unit thinking you will save money of your water bill and that its energy efficient, think again. The 45-minute load ends up taking 2 hours and 3 times the water. Another issue I have had is the pulsator. It just pops off the bottom of the drum in the spin cycle. We have had to fix it multiple times and now is unfixable. We will either need to replace the whole inner part or buy a new washer. I have called LG multiple times with no help at all whatsoever. I wish I could go back to my old Kenmore washing machine that lasted 15 years with no problems at all.

I have to say that my LG model LFX25991ST top of the line French door refrigerator looks great. Unfortunately, it doesnt keep food cold. After just over two years, the compressor failed, the replacement of the compressor failed, and Im just hoping that I got a lemon and that Sears will replace it with a new non-lemon after Ive had my fourth repair call. Going without a fridge for 4 weeks now, and having food spoiled twice when it failed is not fun. I would think long and hard before buying another LG product.

I actually have had good experiences with LG products and have always thought the brand is not only dependable but is just as contemporary as other much higher price. Also the features are good and innovative that seems to be getting even better all time. It was kinda wide and for being so wide I thought it couldve had more compartments. Just me but, I dont like that some foods are not separated from other because of smells and foods that are more pungent or eaten more quickly. Overall it was a good refrigerator for eight years that I owned and used it. For one thing the barrier that keeps condiments and such from falling out when the refrigerator was opened. When I cleaned it the compartments were easy to remove and easy to put back in. I only had to replace a couple of bulbs as far as any maintenance is concerned. Very dependable I would say. I sold the refrigerator after having it for the few years. I mentioned to a friend who bought it for his daughter and as far as I know she is still using it.

This is a great refrigerator....when it works. The compressor went out in year 4. This year, year 5, error Code Er Rf appears. Ice built up around the evaporator and blocked the fan so the fan burned out and the refrigerator did not cool. Serviceman shows up but did not have the part so we had to wait another week for repair. After the repair, a new error code, r dH which involves the defrost cycle came up a week later. Likely what caused the fan to go out the first time. I called LG for service and was told I would be called back to schedule service in 2 days. This is day 6 and no call. This is a very expensive refrigerator and well worth it....if it works. Extremely poor customer service for repairs.

Shame on LG but the kicker is after almost 1 week we were told by LG that the comp is on BACKORDER and MAYBE be in by September 1 BUT NOT SURE. Tells me that this model and others who use same compressors were bad from the get go. Who can go without refrig for that long??? My mother who is 90 and still able to live on her own is going through this as we speak... $1900.00 + and only 4 years of use. Had to go out and buy her a small refrig - just trying to get her by until and unknown time of repair. Food lost and labor should be included in the fix but it wont happen. Class action anyone??

My wife had put on a fairly average load of laundry into our LG Washer (approx 3.5 years old) on Saturday, November 22, 2014. My wife and I had to drop off our special-needs son at his group home, and we had to run to the grocery store. My other son had errands, so he too had left the house. Upon returning from his errands (approx. one hour after we had left), my son tried to enter the laundry room via the garage entrance. He was unable to get past the door opening, as the washing machine was found in the middle of the walkway of the laundry room, water covered the floor, and holes were present in two adjacent walls. After entering the house through the front door, my son only made it to the middle of the hallway before he noticed the carpet was soaking wet. He proceeded to find the hall bathroom as well as entryway and closets of the bedrooms to be soaked with water with some rooms worse than others. The washing machine at roughly 90 degrees off from where it should be. The sides and back of the washer were pushed out and plastic washing machine parts were strewn across the laundry room floor and hallway (up to almost 12 ft. away at entrance to master bedroom). Whatever occurred, it had to have been a violent shaking with an explosion of parts as it produced holes in walls, denting of the drier, and water to flood multiple rooms. My concern is this could have occurred while we were present in the home and near the laundry room. This is particularly concerning as, prior to leaving, my special-needs son had had spent the night with us, and he was previously in the bedrooms and hallway adjacent the laundry room while the machine was running. This should be a concern for anyone who owns an LG washer or any other washing machine that is capable of such destruction. At this point, the damage to the house and appliances has been approximated to at least $6,000. It is possible the number will increase, should the carpet have to be replaced in multiple rooms. The washing machine has been without any known mechanical issues, since we purchased it from Sears (approx 3.5 years ago). This is the first time we have had any incident with the machine, let alone something of such significance.

LG had sent out their contractor a number of times and the back freezer fan and compressor has been changed twice and the gas valve changed and still it doesnt work! Customer service and executive team cant seem to help a mom with toddlers. I have been treated horribly, LG doesnt care! I recently went looking at new appliances at Home Depot and they recommend LG until I told them my story and that awesome salesman will no longer recommend LG! I will continue to tell my story until something is done to repair my fridge!

It was competitively priced versus the competition and I liked the look better. It had most of all the features I was looking for. I had also heard very good reviews regarding LG refrigerators and decide to try it. I like the stainless steel look it had and also the amount of storage it had and also customizable shelving. Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.

LG french door refrigerator with bottom freezer - The unit is only 1 1/2 years old and one of the fans blowing from the freezer started sounding like a 747 on takeoff. I called LG, but was told it was out of warranty and tough luck. They even had the nerve to insist it was my fault for excess ice build up causing fan to fail. I wont waste any more money repairing this thing. I will get a different brand. Do not buy LG refrigerators! They will break your heart and bust your wallet.

I purchased a LG washing machine from PC Richards in July 2013. Water started leaking from the bottom of machine. I called PC Richards repair service. 1st technician came out and said he had to order part. 2nd Technician came out two weeks later. He ran the washing machine through a cycle and no water came out. He said nothing was wrong with it, that I must be overloading the washer. I explained to him that it wasnt being overloaded and that the 1st technician ran the cycle and he saw the water coming out, that is why he ordered the part. 2nd technician refused to change any parts because he was convinced I was overloading the machine. He left without doing anything.I washed clothes when he left. Same thing happened, water all over the place. I called service center and complained that 2nd technician didnt do anything. Service center kept telling me they would call me back, that didnt happen. I called again to speak to supervisor. He tells me I have to wait till 12/10 for another technician to come back to my house. LG washers are horrible and PC Richards service center is horrible. I do not recommend either one.

I am buyer of fht1409zwl model, paid 38k INR. Biggest drawback is washing quality. (Reviewing after 15 day use) When I compare with my old top load washing machine it not even near by it. Second drum size for 9 kg are same as 7 and 8 kg. When I ask same thing from their representative they say their inner motor is differ, motherboard is different. Practically you cant put 9 kg cloths in one run. Waste of money for 9 kg. I am not writing this because of 7, 8 and 9 kg drum issues, but due to washing quality. I use other products of LG. They are extremely good, but not in case of WM. I dont need this product anymore. I love to use old one. BTW I am using other LG product like TV, refrigerator and they are working awesome. Not posting because of any hate feeling but my genuine problem.

LRE3083ST - After a year and 4 days of limited use there is enamel flaking off inside the stove. There appears to be rust underneath this area and this is a manufacturers defect. The range is not usable as food is not safe to eat any food. Flakes are airborne during cooking this range. The safety issues with this range are of great concern and the lack of response and support from LG on their product, which obviously has a manufacturers defect, is alarming. LG says this is cosmetic and I would never buy another one of their products. This was a waste of $799 dollars.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on June 4, 2019. LG delivered the refrigerator a few weeks later and unfortunately, it was severely damaged when it arrived at my residence. The delivery company returned the damaged unit and delivered another refrigerator a week later. The 2nd refrigerators left door contained the water and ice dispenser of which neither worked. I spoke with LG customer service and they indicated that a local repair company would come out and assess the issue. National Platinum Services was the local company and it took them two weeks to show up and when they did, they were not able to diagnose the problem. There has been no follow up since they left so currently I am still waiting on how this situation is going to be resolved. Bottom line is that LG doesnt seem to value good customer service so in the future I will look elsewhere when shopping for any product that they may market to the public.

I chose to purchase LG because I love LG products. They were the first to be innovative in my eyes and expanded theirs products from phones to refrigerators. Their designs always look so modern and sleek unlike other brands. I loved how big the refrigerator was and how many things you can fit inside and still have space. Also its reliable and lasts and look nice. Easy to move and assemble and everything like that. Also looks great with my decor. But I dislike the price of the refrigerator, it seems to me like it wasnt really worth the price that I had paid. I feel like it should include more things and maybe more shelves but works like it should and gets the job done.

Acquired a LG washer model WT1101CW, 2/4/14 from Stine in Broussard, Louisiana. Washer broke November 2015. The warranty that we bought from Stine was through NSI Protection Plus at the same time. They sold the contract to Warrantech 800-279-1662. Our washer broke again March 24, 2016 (same problem) over a week ago and on the same day a call was made to Warrantech and A&E to get our washer fixed. Someone came out and ordered the parts. The parts came through UPS 4 days later and meanwhile we wait 3 days until today to have the repair done. Took off of work (self-employed) and waited from 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. Somehow Sears is involved with A&E and the guy states that the parts are partially broken and that the order is incomplete. He also stated that he would not be able to do the repair because he is with Sears and they do not get paid through Warrantech - What is up with this? Meanwhile I call Stine rep and Warrantech calls me and I tell him how crazy all of this is and he hangs up on me!

I tried to get some explanation and help from LG but they said I damaged it and that it could be fixed only at my cost. So my advice, buy a different fridge. IT is not worth the money or your time. I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2015, within one year the ice maker died. This is after they delivered it and set it up wrong and flooded my house doing a significant amount of water damage (weve paid for everything out of pocket). Now two years later, the compressor died. We have been trying since November to find a LG service provider in our area to fix it. Needless to say a month later LG tells us to find our own repairman and they will cover the part. This refrigerator is in my rental property and we had to purchase a second refrigerator for the tenants because its taken LG so much time to look for a service provider. We paid $2950 for the fridge, $200 for the ice maker, $11,000 in damages from the improper hookup, $800 for a second fridge, and now it will be $500 for the repairs (not including the $400 compressor). All these reviews are 100% accurate, stay away from LG products!!!

I called customer service at LG. A woman helped me with the issue. She repeated what I told her in her own words. There were no problems understanding each other. She told me a technician would be calling me to set up an appointment. About one hour later a man from some company called me and wanted to know what the problem is. The young woman had told me she would explain to the technician. Anyway I explained it all again. He said This is the problem and started to repeat what I said EXCEPT he wasnt saying what I had the said. I tried three more times to explain the problem. He got angry (actually he wasnt happy when he called), he got me upset as I tried four times to explain the problem. I suggested we make an appointment… he said NO. I dont come out until I understand the problem. He said I will look at the manual and call you back. He did that… Lo and behold he STILL DID NOT UNDERSTAND. I then called LG back. The man (sounded like he was in India) said You have an appointment on the 8th of May. I told I knew nothing about an appointment. He said May I call the person that called you. I said Fine. Have not heard back. A few days ago my older son was at my house. He said Mom, be careful. I was turning on one of the front burners. He must have noticed the large flame. I never told either of my sons about the fact that my clothes have been singed when turning on the front burners. Just let something happen in my kitchen because of the stove and you know who will be sued big time...

Most of my family has LG refrigerators. We also enjoy the style that LG has that was why we went with them. We like the whole line, so we got the stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. I like the fridges French doors and the way they open up to allow us to access the extra-wide fridge without swinging the door all the way open. Also, it doesn’t take up so much room in the kitchen. LG did a phenomenal job, but I had some issues with the black stainless flaking off. A rep came out to replace the doors, and that was phenomenal. But when they replaced the doors, one side doesn’t shut on its own anymore unless I slam it. I’ve tried calling them back a number of times, but there was no response. That part was disappointing, but the product overall, when it’s set and adjusted right, is phenomenal.

I dont have the exact model number but it is something like LG MS 3842 and has a 38 liter capacity. I now have to replace the one replaced under warranty in August 2013 with yet another one. Both ceased heating as per specifications and emitted a strong smell of electronics and/or wiring overheating or burning. At no stage was the oven used in a manner other than to cook vegetables and rice, the main items prepared for eating in this appliance. I am now going to replace the model with one that claims to have 7 fold Aqua Block System as a safety feature. Good luck to me!

Our LG front load washing machine has a cycle that intermittently opens and closes the water valve that causes severe water hammer in the plumbing system. This is very bad for your plumbing and will cause damage. Ive installed a water hammer arrestor, but wasnt any better. Very bad vibrations and unacceptable noise during wash/rinse cycles - unit actually moves across the floor! And needs continuous cleaning of soap and softener dispensers - clothes smell badly if you dont. Dryer does not perform well either - takes 2 hours to dry a load! I would never recommend LG to anyone - spent over $1,800 for the washer/dryer pair with pedestals, and have replaced them in less than 3 years with conventional pair!!!

Refrigerator Envy: that’s what our friends said when they saw our new LG refrigerator. NO MORE! Problems began the first year, and five years and many repairs later – most we paid for; LG covered a few – the problems have simply worsened. We’ve lost hundreds of dollars in food waste, spent over $800 in “repairs”, and endured countless inconveniences as a result of food freezing in the refrigerator. We now keep fruits and vegetables in our sixteen year-old garage Whirlpool. The design flaw, we’ve been informed, is known by LG and has been addressed in their newer models. Most recently, beginning 8/1/2019, our numerous emails to LG’s escalation team and to their VP of Customer Service have had no reply whatsoever. LG is unwilling and/or unable to follow up on their promises or our correspondence. We wonder if another “private message” would likewise be ignored. We have lost respect for LG. We would neither consider nor recommend the purchase of an LG product to anyone.

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

I purchased a whole house full of LG appliances in October of 2011 (Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Stove, Microwave/hood, and refrigerator). I have had many issues with the washer. The washer worked fine initially and gradually started having issues from unbalanced loads to not spinning enough and leaving the clothes soaked requiring extra spin cycles. I purchased this particular model for the load capacity. You would think it would be able to handle what it was made for. In August of 2013 LG sent out a recall for unbalanced load issue. An Authorized repair company came out and did the software update. Frankly the full of clothes and water with the lid locked from no power. They replaced the board (reluctantly) and we were operational until April of 2014 when the board blew again. Our first course of action was to call the authorized repair company back, but they would not talk to us over the phone and wanted to come out and charge us for a service call to service the machine as well as labor to replace the part, if in fact they felt they should warranty it. LG also no help at this point, the machine was out of warranty and not their problem. Since we knew what the problem was and were not fond of repair company anyway, we ordered the part ourselves online and put it in. This one lasted all the way to almost the end of September 2014, again blowing with the machine full of clothes. I have now purchased a new machine (not LG) and will be sending LG copies of all the paperwork, from original purchase all the way to current purchase. I doubt they will do anything for me, the machine is clearly a piece of junk sitting in my garage. Unfortunately, this is not the only one of their appliances I have had issues with. The microwave has had just about every part in it replaced in the span of a couple months, some of the parts multiple times. This was also a big hassle to get repaired. The LG tech fixed it the first 2 times and then it got pushed to yet another authorized repair company, for multiple visits changing out a part at a time. It would have been cheaper for them to just give me a new one. LG is now banned from my house. I will never purchase another one of their products, no matter what it is. I also recommend to everyone I know, to stay away from the Large Garbage. So far they have not stood by their products. I did not purchase an extended warranty, but I have never had issues like this with any appliance I have ever purchased and they have lasted well over 3 years. Not to mention these dealers want to charge at least 1/2 of the purchase price for these extended warranties, which is ridiculous.

I purchased our LG smart washer dryer combo from Home Depot 14 months ago. For the first year it worked like a charm. Once it was paid off, the nightmare began. I have called the horrible customer service in the Philippines only to hear a repeated script. I have had my home warranty company come out twice. The only way for me to wash our clothes is to confuse our washer into thinking that the load is large. I put in 2 buckets of water on top of towels. I have ruined so many of my clothes in the twisted rope like fashion that I could cry. It takes me 1.5 hours to wash 2 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. The dryer is also Lousy Garbage. It over dries and shrinks our clothes, those that make it out alive from the washer never dry at all and are very wrinkled. And then there is the smell... The technicians say this is how they are suppose to work. There is no energy saving in taking all day to do a household of threes laundry. There is nothing smart about these machines... Ive had my LX228968SB 26.8 cu ft 3 door french door for 4.5 years and it has maybe worked right for 1.5 years... Have had 3 service tickets and the compressor was just replaced 6 months ago and is out again and so I have been without a fridge now for over 2 weeks, during the hottest time of the year and Ill just say it, LG doesnt care. Working with LG customer service has literally been the worst experience Ive had with any company, EVER!!! I cannot even begin to explain on how bad and unhelpful they are or how many times Ive waited on hold only to get dropped (it literally just happened) or transferred and dropped. This is one of my favorites. When I called in several weeks ago to set up an appointment, they said that Id be contacted with 48 hours... Well, after 57 hours I reached back out and they told me since they couldnt find anyone to repair my fridge, they cancelled my appointment, when I asked them when they were going to tell me?.... Crickets. Then I tried to reschedule and they said they get 3-5 more days to do that, excuse me, what??? I am currently trying to get a refund on my fridge and hopefully some of the $1K worth of food I had to throw or give away... Fun fact; LG only does up to $300 and if you fill out one question wrong on their form it tells you that you arent eligible and it locks you out, awesome, right??? Bottom line, quality, at least on their refrigerators is awful (class action lawsuit out against them on their compressors) but customer service is even worse, NEVER buy LG or pray you never need to contact customer service.

Frankly Im not a happy camper with this product. We purchased a large capacity front loader a couple of years ago. And just like most honeymoons things went smoothly for the first couple of years. In the past year we have had all of our washables damaged. Each piece has small holes in them. We do not overload our washer or dryer and use the recommended products in the proper amounts. Have any of you experienced this issue and if so how did you resolve it. Personally I think it could be the drum itself thats causing the issue. I worked for years as a commercial laundry mechanic. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I purchased a LG refrigerator Lfc25760st from Home Depot. Within 1st year the plastic parts inside were cracking and falling apart. It started with the wheels popping off the drawers like they were nothing. I called only to have them accuse me of being extremely rough with my new refrigerator. Then said I had to get someone out there to look at it. Guess what? I live 2 hours from the nearest service dept. So Id have to pay for that, mind you its still under warranty at that point. I call and find out Ill have to pay the 50.00 and 0.35 per mile of which LG will not reimburse me. So, I just skip it because at that point the drawers still side out without the elcheapo made wheels. Then everything else begins to crack and break. So I call again.Im so mad because they will not help me and its now 100% clear that its LGs fault this is happening. I have my old GE side by side that is 20 years old, been through teenagers, young kids and moving 3 times. Its still running and the insides are great. Not the LG!! My drawers all falling in! The rails have cracked and the drawers fronts are even cracking off. Never has there been such a completely uncaring company that is unwilling to rectify problems that are obviously their fault. Its time for a class action law suit. They went cheap on production for these refrigerators and we the consumer trusted this company to produce a quality appliance. I now walk away from everything LG and Im not the only one.So much for wanting a nice stainless french door refrigerator for my kitchen. I have contacted the company over 6 times and get nothing but run around. I even tried to get them to at least give me some type of discount on all the parts that are broken that should not be. It will be well over 400.00 to replace all the broken parts not including shipping. I have talked to other people that the exact same thing happened with them. LG also told them they have never heard of these problems before. Gave them the exact same run around. They replace their insides only to have them all break again. Im done. Its lawyer time.

Really it is not fixable? So if your washer has these issues and its this model number good luck. I also have emailed LG a letter and let them know I wont be spending anymore of my hard earned money on their products. At least they dont make any life saving devices I hope. Please do not buy their products. My repairman said that this is common with their products and they are only made to last about 3 years. He sees it everyday.

I bought an LG washing machine two years ago, and if I could afford to buy another washing machine I would throw the LG Washing Machine out the window SMELL and all. After about one month I began to notice a sour smell on my clothes. I have since tried every detergent, odor repellents, old world remedies (i.e. ammonia, vinegar, etc) and nothing, nothing works. Before I bought the LG I had my Kenmore for 20 years with no smell. If there is a recall on this product I would like to be part of it.

Updated on 04/16/2020: As follow up, after I posted a complaint about my microwave, LG posted a reply on ConsumerAffairs which implied that they would look into our complaint. Wrong! We received a call today 4-16-2020 from the next level supervisor who said you received bad information from our customer service rep but we still cannot honor our warranty. This was the second LG microwave we had purchased, and the second to fail. This last one after about 4 months. One of the last LG reps we spoke to said there was no problem with our reimbursement paperwork and the warranty reimbursement check would be sent right out. Wrong again! This last supervisor told us that his company gave us bad information on how to file a claim and too bad for us that they made the mistake and now we are out the cost for another LG microwave. Just beware, if you do have issues with your appliance that is under warranty, LG may not honor their warranty even after admitting they were at fault.Original Review: We purchased a LG microwave to replace the LG microwave that stopped working after 2 years. After 4 months the new LG stopped working. It was under LG warranty so we called and submitted the warranty reimbursement form. After not hearing back for over a week, we called and they advised us that they needed the serial number from the unit cut in half. We submitted both the form and the serial number. After not hearing back again we called and they told us to submit the cut serial number tag on the actual submission form, so we did that and send it back in. After not hearing for two to three weeks we called again and we were told we also needed the manufacturer tag cut in half and submitted on the form. At that point being over two months of dealing with LG, we had already disposed of the unit. We told the rep and he advised no problem they would be sending the reimbursement check to us.After another week and a half we called in again and we were told without the cut manufacturer tag on the form we would not be reimbursed. We explained that the last rep said there was no issue with this and explained the entire situation again. We called again to be disconnected and called again to be told there would be no reimbursement without the manufacturer tag. After much discussion we asked the rep to send our request to a supervisor. She said it would be another week before a supervisor could look at our request.Bottom line buy a better brand microwave unless you want to continue to replace them and have LG give you misinformation to file a claim under warranty. Had I known their service was this poor I would have never bought any LG appliances. Had we known we needed more information off the unit we would have gladly supplied that at the time but the representatives gave us bad information. There are too many good quality products on the market to settle for horrible service and low quality from LG.

Purchased this dishwasher 4 years ago. Last week we started getting the code PF which means power failure. From the LG comments posted, they would lead you to believe the power supply was interrupted and the PF is only a code and not a failure/fault code. Turns out it was a fault. We turned it on last night and the control panel immediately burned out. Saw some sparks/flashes and a puff of smoke and electrical smell. Dishwasher was then disconnected from the power source. If you have the PF code you should note this is very probably the control panel shorting out. Unfortunately, dishwasher failed just outside of our extended warranty period. We will definitely switch brands. Dishwashers should last longer than four years!!! Definitely dissatisfied with the LG dishwasher.

Our two month old LG Microwave Oven Model LCS1112ST bit the dust yesterday and I immediately contacted LG Customer Support. After jumping through all the hoops sending them a receipt, proof of damage, etc., I was expecting my $ back since it had a one year warranty. I received an e-mail saying in order to process my claim, I had to buy another LG microwave before they would consider any refund. Completely unsatisfied with this nonsense, I called and spoke to a gentleman that passed me on to supposedly the supervisor. She said that we were to send a letter explaining why we bought a GE microwave instead of an LG microwave along with additional documentation. Why would I buy another LG product? LG does not stand behind their warranty! DO NOT buy any LG product! They simply want your $ and they do not care about customer satisfaction!!!

We bought a beautiful looking top loading LG washer and dryer from Sears in Eureka, California in September 2011 for our second home in Humboldt County. We didnt purchase an extended warranty - although looking back, we should have done so. Because the appliances are installed in a second home (to this date, April 2013), they have been used about 12 times total.Suddenly, during a visit to this second home in mid-February, the dryer quit drying; there was no heat at all. We did the trouble-shooting with LG Customer Service to no avail. Then we contacted Sears to arrange for a repair. We returned to the home at the end of March, and the repairman came to the house. His analysis showed that the heating element needs to be replaced, which he had to order. As the repairman was leaving, he told us that he is about the only one in the area who will tackle fixing LG appliances because they are so poorly made. He mentioned that our washer is probably on a recall list. Sure enough, the washer - Serial Number (WT5001CW) is on the LG recall list. So now, I am attempting to make sure that the only repairman in the whole area who will touch LG appliances is prepared and scheduled to come to our second home when we can schedule ourselves to be there and can fix both appliances! It is hard to believe that these appliances are so poorly made, that they both are broken after having been used a handful of times! They look great but apparently are pieces of crap; and they cost a lot of money. What is the matter with these corporations and their quality control? Do these people really think I will ever buy another LG appliance again? And is it really worth the (certainly temporary) health of their bottom line to continue to sell these shoddy products? And what else do disgruntled customers do? They tell everyone they know about their negative experience with these products. Shame on LG!

I bought these appliances a 1 1/2 years ago. The upper dishwasher rack is full of rust and peeling. I called LG service to complain and they promised to send me a new rack... That was 3 months ago..Still waiting! The electric range is also junk. When the burners are turned on they immediately go off, so you have to stand there and push the knob in again and again to get it to cook anything. These stainless steel appliances were not cheap. We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Life has not been good with LG.

I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

I purchased the LG top load washing machine model WT4870C only two months ago. It kept giving this unbalance code and no matter what I tried it stopped. LG did a over the phone diagnostic and informed the repairman what was wrong with. I also told LG and the repairman over the phone it looked like the drum seam was splitting. They totally discounted what I said, and a week later the repairman showed up with a number of parts. He took one look and said the drum (tub) was splitting apart. I called Lowes but the only way Lowes would give me my money back or replace it, was if I got a return authorization number from LG. My concern was that I just got a lemon and wanted to avoid a bunch of repairs. I wanted a new one. LG executive department said she could not give me a return authorization until I gave the repairman a chance to fix it. I was not happy but I said Id do it. Then, I thought I would check the LG recalls. It seems that this drum problem was not new. Then, I got into the consumer affairs comments and couldnt believe all the different types of problems LG washing machines were having! Repair after repair! Serious issues... flooding?! Traveling across a room! Im afraid to have it in my home! Im already having nightmares. I will use every means I can afford to try to get my money back and buy a different washer. Open to any and all suggestions. Thanks.

I dont have a complaint with where we bought the product. I have a huge problem with the product itself, an LG dishwasher LDF7810BB/LDF7810ST. What an absolute piece of junk! First of all, it will not dry the dishes without Jet Dry so youre married to that product for the life of the dishwasher. The wash cycles run up to three hours! I just ran a load that took three hours and three minutes to complete and 90% of the dishes need to be washed by hand. No, the spray arms are not clogged nor are the dishes caked with food. I believe you could put clean dishes in an LG dishwasher and they would come out dirty. Covered in food particles that have been distributed all over the dishes. I will never buy another LG appliance ever. What a rip-off!

After using my hand me down washer that was 23 years old, we decided to purchase a brand new LG front loader. We purchased it at a Best Buy with the matching dryer in October 2011. Now February 2012, I had to have a service technician come out to repair the washer. When the washer tried to turn clockwise, it made a grinding sound not be able to spin. It did spin counterclockwise. Of course, the warranty ended three and a half months prior to this problem. The technician told me he reconnected the bolt on the inside and it should be good for a few days. He told me that he assumed that I washed large loads. Why wouldnt I wash large loads? That is why I bought a large capacity washer. Stupid assumption! Anyway, he told me it would cost $350 to replace and repair the part. As for it lasting a few more days, I put in a load of three pairs of socks and one t-shirt. It still grinds! So much for a few days. Also, Mr. technician, is three pairs of socks and one t-shirt a large load to you?

It’s been almost one months since the parts were ordered. Yet we still haven’t heard back from LG the estimated arrival time of parts. The LG’s response was the parts were out of stock. At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a careful, truthful evaluation of my fancy still-under-warranty LG washer WM3875HVCA, which has had about seven or eight service visits. Both computer panels have been changed out; the water valve has been replaced; the door latch has been replaced; and still, the thing locks when I try to open the door post-cycle. Also, water continues to leak into the drawer serviced by the water valves, and the supposed anti-wrinkle option, which an LG representative told me directly on the phone is supposed to be constant for the eight hours as indicated, appears to do nothing. It is never on, whenever I check on it after a cycle.I had written a grammatically correct, no swear words, truthful review, and picked only two starts out of five. Would anyone like to guess how LG responded? They denied allowing my review to be published on their site, supposedly claiming it did not meet their guidelines. Um, would those guidelines include singing only praises of their products (i.e.. if you give a negative review, they dont want to hear it, publish it, or know of it)?I am completely disgusted with this situation. LGs email denying my reviews acceptance told me to submit another review as if anything similarly negative would receive their approval for site-publication.As long as I dont rave about this washer, I suspect they are never going to allow anyone to see what my experience has been because then, prospective buyers would take a pause before considering a similar purchase. Indeed, the only reviews, which I read, on LGs site are all glowing about my washer. Ha.

The repair company that contacted us is 4 hours away!!! And only service the area I live in once a week. They did work on the refrigerator and determined that a part had to be ordered for it. The repair company said they would contact us as soon as the part arrived. We are now in our 4th week without refrigeration!!! Customer service quality and procedures when something breaks needs to be one of the most important considerations when choosing who to buy an appliance from these days, especially an expensive refrigerator that is not built to last despite claims that it is, but for a higher purchase price. It was important enough to me that I was willing to pay more upfront. $2800 more. Things break, design flaws happen. That is not as concerning to me as what a company does to their customers when it comes time to make it right, and how they make it right. Regardless if they have fixed their linear compressor problems, it is not worth buying LG refrigerators. Or any other product as far as I’m concerned, given what they are presently putting us through and how little they are compensating for our losses.I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t cost them dearly in customers and loyalty. It certainly has turned my 18 and 22 year old sons off after watching what we are going through since July. That’s future business right there that they screwed up. Not to mention my failing double oven, dryer, and dishwasher which need replacing soon. And where there is one there are hundreds or thousands more. That’s a lot of exponential word of mouth.LG is losing all that future business for what? To save a buck on repairs now by forcing customers to use their preferred 1-star rating repair servicer even if they repaired it once already and it failed? To avoid doing the right thing by reimbursing their customers for full damages and losses fully caused by their part failures as well as their repair failures? That choice alone about customer service reflects poorly on the business smarts of a company, which in turn affects reliability. If you ever have a warranty repair with your LG products, you are at risk of what is happening to us right now. Are you willing to gamble for that much money? We bought our LG French Door refrigerator Thanksgiving 2016 for $2800. Chose LG because of reputation, longevity claims about the model, and their description of great customer service should something go wrong. We thought it was worth the expense. The linear compressor failed after 3-1/2 years in July. We had to wait 2-1/2 weeks before their “authorized repair servicer” got here to repair it. We bought a larger mini fridge and still lost well over $300 of food. Their servicer did not call us to first diagnose or ascertain what parts might be needed. They simply showed up and assumed they only needed to swap out a compressor.LG bottlenecked their quality before they got here by only authorizing a maximum of $505 including labor, regardless that neither of them knew for sure what all needed to be checked and repaired. They set us up for failure. Their preferred provider didn’t even look for leaks in hoses that might have caused the compressor to fail to begin with, so if there was one it’s still there! They did not replace all the other covered parts that are supposed to be replaced with this repair, such as evaporators, hoses, etc. Two weeks after the repair we spent $450 on groceries believing it was safe to now restock. Two days later it broke again. My dealings with customer service since have been unacceptable. I have been patient and understanding about all the extremely long hold times given Covid, (1 hour and 17 minutes on hold this morning before the exec division picked up,) but not understanding about forcing their customers to have to retell all of the specifics of their circumstances dozens of times to each new agent that picks up, treating them like a first time caller, before anyone finally understands again how egregious the case has been handled thus far. And when they finally do they have no power to ensure it won’t continue to happen. Wash, rinse, repeat. There are too many cooks in the kitchen and all the departments that have to be involved are isolated and cut off from the other so the agents can never prevent anything from going wrong again or have influence over final decisions. There is no quality control in LG’s customer service. Their executive services group can’t directly talk to someone in the authorization department to ensure everyone is on the same page so they stop sabotaging what was agreed to. They have no true escalation capabilities and if they do they are highly ineffective. I believe this is purposeful when it comes to these refrigerators. The first agent this time around said our case was escalated since we just went through this. That didn’t mean squat in the end. It has been dealt with worse than the first time and has followed the same channels as a first time repair. He said dispatch would be calling me directly this time 3-4 days from our call to lessen the amount of time we were without our fridge again. That was August 22 and today 2-1/2 weeks later we are still without a working fridge. No one called. I had to start all over from the top when I called back. They tried to resend the same incompetent repair company as last month and ignored our request to send a different one that would approach it properly this time and give us confidence we wouldn’t be put through this again next month. It’s exhausting to pull everything out again, set up coolers and ice and check safety of food every day. Their preferred service provider in our area was going to be at least 2 more weeks out. LG blamed Covid saying it has impacted the availability of servicers in our area. The truth was LG directly prevented a timely and proper repair we had access to; it was not a problem with availability of servicers in our area, it was a problem of a company only wanting to use a one-star servicer that they can successfully under compensate, regardless that the repair company cuts corners and does inferior work to make it worth what LG pays.We asked LG why we couldn’t find our own repair company nearby who could get here sooner than 2 weeks. They told us if we could find someone sooner they would gladly email them the authorization, because they can’t find anyone else. All they can see is their authorized 1-star servicer. We had a 5-star service nearby standing in my kitchen the very next day! And they had done a lot of warranty work for LG before so we were delighted with having found them. They diagnosed the fridge thoroughly first, and in person, recognized that the compressor was not installed correctly and not all parts were properly replaced. Due to this we had oil leaking all over the place creating new repair problems. We called LG back and provided all the contact info they requested. They called our chosen repair co. that same day too and told both of us they would submit a request for authorization and they should have it in the next 24-48 hours. Our repair would be done in under three days. Instead, we got a text and email the next day that their 1-star servicer has accepted our repair request and would be there 12 days later. We called immediately and complained we had someone sooner and did not want the same company, and our case was escalated again. The executive group agent said she saw what happened, the wrong department got the request and ignored the notes in our account and on the request. She canceled their servicer and personally emailed the department directly with the info for the repair company we found, highlighting they were available immediately to do the repair and they have done warranty work for them before. Two days later we get another text/email that the 1-star company happily accepted our request again. I called LG again and the new exec agent listened to all that had happened prior and understood my rage, and told me they were having problems with the authorization department and she had no power to ensure it wouldn’t keep happening this way, but she did have the power to submit a request for a full refund. She had me upload a receipt and confirmed it was received and valid. She would send the request for an auth to our chosen servicer one more time and would call me two days later to see if they had received the authorization. If not she would go through with the refund request. Instead, I get several texts from LG’s chosen servicer all weekend long reminding us they were coming. However, in the past two weeks that servicer did not once call us to get information to determine what parts might be needed, which confirmed for us that if we let them into our home it was going to be handled sloppily like the first time they did the repair. We are sick of what we’ve had to go through living out of a mini fridge for almost two months. For a family of five with adult kids? We want to feel confident it’s done right this time. What LG did that was unethical was agree that if we could find someone sooner they would send an authorization, and then they repeatedly hosed that authorization and every subsequent request for one over the next two weeks to buy time until the A&E appointment was just around the corner. They ignored our valid concerns and discomfort of having this company do the repair again. It’s not like we chose a servicer that never did LG warranty work before. There is no excuse for putting us through this hell. Call several appliance repair companies in your area before you commit to buying anything. They know what brands and products are easiest to fix and have the least hassles with warranty repairs, and which are reliable. All the other repair companies we initially called said the same thing: “we no longer do LG repairs” and if you ask why they all tell you the same thing, “it’s because LG under-compensates true costs and undermines their efforts to do quality work. And it’s too much of a headache to deal with their customer service. It’s just not worth it given the amount of time we would have to put into dealing with them.”I wish I would have called them before choosing an LG fridge, because I never would have purchased it. But this is the real reason LG has a hard time finding an available service provider in your area. And when you find your own? They sabotage it. All to save a buck? How is two or three under compensated repairs in a row cheaper than one done right the first time at a fair price for the actual time required to do a proper job? It can only serve to hurt your customer for unnecessary and unreasonable lengths of time and kills all future business, and word of mouth compounds that. I was also told today there is no guarantee the refund will be approved. They look at how many times it’s been repaired in deciding too! The fact that they were interfering with the repairs, and they failed to let us have a timely and proper one that we had standing right there two weeks ago is not taken into account. If they deny our refund, they will simply reschedule their shoddy servicer all over again. At this point the right thing to do is approve a full refund. My husband is paid hourly and his company is about to be impacted by Covid so he will lose hours pay in the near future. We have to use our scant emergency fund to pay for a reliable refrigerator repair, about $1200-$1400 after the botched repair, or buy a new one. And not having that emergency money is going to hurt us when my husband’s hours are reduced. We cannot tolerate more weeks Iiving like this and never should have had to when we had a reliable repair company standing in our kitchen two weeks ago!To add insult to injury, LG has taken forever to approve our food loss and mini fridge reimbursement requests from July. Several reps quoted from our account that they saw the mini fridge reimbursement was officially approved on August 12 but there was no notes about the food loss. We were told this for the following two weeks every time we called. Then today, the rep said the notes showed it wasn’t approved until September. Somebody changed the notes. We were also told that we couldn’t have both a food loss reimbursement and a mini fridge reimbursement. They only allow one $250 reimbursement per calendar year, regardless if they caused you way more losses. We lost well over $500 of food so far plus paid $260+ for a mini fridge. We can’t even claim food loss this time around even though their repair failed and we properly waited a couple weeks after the repair to make sure it was good before shopping again. Customers can be out $750-$1,000 due to LG’s own mistakes, and only get reimbursed for $250 of it all while they go through hell with customer service. LG does not care about you as a customer or any impact they have had on you or the domino effect. Now, is all this worth buying their $2800 refrigerator? Absolutely not.

Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. Upon returning from work this evening the refrigerator was 62 degrees, more ruined food. Called LG, said they had other complaints of the same. Offered to schedule a repairman for me. I think I need a Lemon Crusher.

This is our 2nd LG dryer same model in 40 days. The same problem has occurred with each one. Dry cuts off and will not cut back on. We purchased it from our local Home Depot which have done everything they can to make right what LG has not. LG should be shut down for making lousy products that fail to work. I feel like the Better Business Bureau should be involved and shut down this company from taking innocent consumers money. My husband and I have missed 3 days from work to meet A&E repair company to work on our dryer. If it werent for the manager at Home Depot, we would have no one to talk with since LG doesnt give a rip. Why does Home Depot continue to carry such a horrible product line? PLEASE...PLEASE, Do not buy LG products. They are a rip off and this dryer may cause your home to catch fire.

I bought an LG double oven in February. As soon as I tried to preheat the oven, the oven filled my house up with gas. After many unsuccessful attempts to have LG have someone come out to fix the oven under its warranty, LG finally scheduled a company to come out to fix the oven. After the company attempted to fix the oven four times, the oven still leaks so much gas when I attempt to preheat the oven that I cant use it. Even though the service company has told LG that the oven is defective and they wont come attempt to repair it anymore, LG refuses to replace the oven or refund me for the cost of the oven. I have been without an oven for seven months and Im currently stuck with a $1,500 defective oven. Thanks LG!
