We bought a front loading washer and dryer. About three years later, the washer is shaking so hard it sounds as if it will tear down the walls and cave in our floor. The washer shakes so hard, it moves across the floor knocking into other items as well as the dryer. We called LG and were told it is no longer under warranty, but shaking was due to an unstable floor. I told her the floor has not changed, only the washing machines performance. The representative stated that all of the washers shake a little, this was to be expected. I asked if there was a part that could be replaced to stabilize the machine. She said no, there was no such part.A few days later, I looked up an appliance repair company that works on LG appliances in our area. The repairman told me LG had this problem and it just needed the struts replaced. So we had them replaced. It was better, but not as stable as before, not like any of the previous washers Id had throughout my life. I trusted LG to be an upgrade in quality. It was not. After only six months, it is as bad or worse than before the struts were replaced.Additionally, weve put heavy duty pads underneath. It just walks right off the pads, tipping over as if it will fall on its side. This washer is worse than the old wringer type with the incredible noise and the bouncing and moving. My husband and I have to restrain it or turn if off. And like some of the other owners, it does have a stinky, moldy smell. Mold is not normal in a machine designed to clean. Ive been leaving the door open after each wash, spraying inside the drum with Lysol or Windex.Cleaning clothes is an effort toward good hygiene. Moldy water defeats that purpose. Yes, standing water creates mold, but what is wrong with a design that causes mold to proliferate like this. Perhaps Maytag, Kenmore, or GE could teach the engineers at LG something about designing for public use. If this were normal, as the rep would have us believe, it would seem appropriate to include these features in the sales material - LG Front loading washer has a normal smell of mold in the machine which naturally transfer to your clothes. Another very normal feature that astounds LG consumers is the washers ability to mimic a wild bucking bronco, leaping and jumping out of its stall. It is a relatively expensive purchase. Consumers expect quality to equal cost to equate value. I dont want to feel like I have been duped and bought a piece of trash. LG has changed my opinion of its products - washer & dryer, refrigerator, microwave, internet TV - I cant trust them no more! We believed that your Life is Good motto included us, not just you.

WT4801CW - Only bought this washer four years ago and can echo others who say that cycles take a LONG time. Now am getting OE error constantly ~ have done troubleshooting and there does not appear to be any blockage in drains. Will try appliance repair but disappointed as I had cheap Frigidaire for 15+ years and no trouble... Will not buy LG again.

I purchased Stove LRG30357ST and called about a problem with what seems to be stainless steel knob controls that melted off. Turns out, the knobs are plastic with some type of foil around them. They want 70 dollars each to replace and there are five knobs. We will buy a new stove before we pay 350 to replace knobs with cheaper knobs.Second problem has happened three times in the past two years and 11 months. Somehow, the knob gets turned in the on position either by accidentally knocking it or maybe the knob fully turning the burner into a safe position. We were thinking maybe our body was hitting it when using the above microwave or simply not turning off all the way. Normally, they make a clicking sound when its calling for gas and not lighting. We shook it off as a freak accident the first time. The second time really got our attention and we gave the kids a lesson on what was going on. The third time, we both were working and the kids microwaved some popcorn and must have bumped one of the burners. We have no idea how they could not have smelt the gas odor but it was so scary that we made another call to LG. We hope to here back since we have no choice but to get a safer stove.

DANGEROUS product with flimsy knobs that could start a fire. Died in only a couple of years after using and following maintenance instructions provided from LG. Rude customer service and Repair technicians. No help from extended warranty and no proof shown to us that backed their findings. Buyer beware if you have small children or pets, the bottom oven door easily opens and could be tripped or pulled down while on or off. Knobs, logos and Black Stainless Steel peeled, faded and discolored after the first few months (also denied to fix or replace because they claimed wear and tear.)My Experience. We purchased our dual oven from Best Buy a few years ago and instantly had problems. The stove would turn on just from barely bumping the nobs and melted anything close to it. (Like bringing in groceries and the bag and food sitting to close.) Then after a few months the black stainless started to peel off and the knobs started to turn a goldish color and the wording was gone. The LG logo fell off as well... After contacting Best Buy where we had a purchased a 5 year extended warranty they gave us the runaround about wear and tear.We bought this oven because we wanted a oven that we could easily clean. I am disabled and was the primary caregiver for my mother who was on a transplant list and was in and out of the hospital. I watched reviews and saw the options for self cleaning and easy clean. Which I had to have because I didnt have the mobility or strength to put hours into scrubbing a oven clean. My mother and I both take immuno suppression medications for our different health problems and keeping the kitchen clean and sanitized is extremely important....The cleaning features were downright worthless. I followed the cleaning instructions and still had to get down and scrub and clean the oven until my knees were bruised.Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I noticed when I would cook the stove top wasnt heating up near as fast as it used to and the oven was only half baking the food. (I would have to rotate the food because the front part of the oven wasnt evenly cooking the food.) About a week after I noticed the problems with the oven it died. Only thing working was the clock...I went into Best Buy to get my receipt reprinted with my warranty information and called and scheduled a repair request and someone came out and inspected the oven. The man from LG took the whole oven apart and very rudely told us they werent going to warranty the oven. When we asked why he started heading toward the door and said someone would be calling us in a minute. My mom asked him why he couldnt explain and show us the issue. He stopped because I think he was expecting the person from the warranty place to call us immediately and came back to the kitchen. He told us our oven was filthy and the fan inside the oven was seized up from all the grease and the motors were blown...We asked him how that could happen and he said its because we didnt follow the cleaning instructions and abused it.... He said grease and food got into the fans and couldnt show us how the food got to where he was saying the fans were located. He made us feel and look like slobs. I pulled out the bottle that came with the oven for cleaning and the items I used to clean and care for the oven and he said we didnt clean the fans.... Where does it say I have to disassemble the oven to get to the fans that are built into the roof of the top and bottom ovens? He said the range had food falling into it from the cracks.... There are no cracks on my stove top, the seals are still sealed and theres no way food would ever fall into it from the top....We spent $1700.00 for a oven that was supposed to be the best dual oven on the market, and would look brand new because it was smudge proof, easy to clean and would last forever. We have had nothing but problems and now we have $1700.00 sitting in our foyer because we have no clue what to do. We had to get a cheap oven from Rent a Center because we cant afford a replacement. We have been waiting to get a call back about the second opinion they were supposed to send out to look the oven over again. And they never showed or returned our calls.Worst experience Ive had with a brand and after talking to others about how dangerous the oven is because of the knobs and the poor quality of the fake stainless steel and the undisclosed cleaning instructions LGs technician said we didnt follow. I will never recommend another product from LG and will make sure everyone knows of how I was treated.

We have had our LG Electric Range (LSE4613) since September of 2017. Within this two month period, we have had quite a few incidents when the burners were turned on without us realizing they were on. This last time, we were seconds from significant fire damage to our home. As many others have noted, because the LG stovetops can be turned on by the slightest touch, brush or bump, it is a huge safety hazard. LG needs to develop a fix for this dangerous problem before there is a major recall or lawsuit. There is a lock feature, but its not possible to have it on at all times. The self cleaning feature also seems dangerous. While cleaning, the tile and surrounding granite became too hot to touch, so we turned it off within one hour.

We bought our refrigerator (MODEL LFX3194SST) March of 2013. From HH Gregg in Kennesaw Ga. Paid $3000 for it and bought an extended warranty simply because it was an expensive item and had a lot of computers in it. It quit working within the first year and LG sent someone out to repair it. It was the compartment in the freezer that contains the fan that blows cold air into the upper refrigerator section. The same thing happened again in March of 2015. It was under the extended warranty then. In the Atlanta area it is Tanstel who handles warranty for HH Gregg. I would rate Tanstel a minus 3 out of a scale of 1-10. That bad and that unprofessional. I expressed this to HH Gregg retail store and also to corporate office. The store seemed concerned even though they could do nothing to help. Corporate office was a joke and we ended up insulting each other, so I think Im finished buying from HH Gregg. Anyway here it is July of 2015 and my refrigerator is broke again. Same thing for 3rd time. Fan in freezer is frozen that blows air into the refrigerator. So no refrigerator and Tanstel doesnt seem to care if it gets fixed in a timely manner. So Im begging you, please dont buy anything with LG name on it. Read all the other reviews on the internet. They look good, but rust, dont work and you will be sorry. Youve been warned. And ask who made the appliance if you buy it from Sears. It might have a Kenmore name on it but ask who made it.

From the very beginning, the freezer door pops open slightly when the fridge door is closed. It isnt always noticed until water puddles up on the floor. The hose to the ice maker has been fixed 7 or 8 times because it keeps splitting. The ice maker jams up and wont release the ice. Today, I woke up to water all over the floor. There was no power to the whole unit. I checked the outlet and there was power. I cant get a hold of a repairman.

LG refused to acknowledge that major repairs 15 months after purchase of a washing machine is a problem. They had no interest in helping me after calling the company. The LG was bought by my parents and they chose it because of the sleek design and positive reviews. It was recommended by Best Buy employees. They said that it was the best refrigerator on the market for the price. It kept things cold, had lots of space, vegetable crispers. It also had a freezer up top that was very roomy. We loved it!! It also lasted a long time when the power went off. An egg container would have been nice to have, also the ice maker would break very frequently or not create ice for long periods of time. The ice maker was my biggest complaint. But I really enjoyed it overall though all!!

My girlfriend redid her kitchen 2 years ago. She bought LG fridge and LG gas stove last year. We smelt gas after turning off the stove top then notice it was still on. The plastic on the back side of the knob had cracked so it wouldnt turn the gas all the way off even though it showed it should be off. She called customer service and made her pay for a brand new knob. The stove at the time was just over a year old. Now another knob is cracked so she will have to buy another knob. They are not cheap and this is a major safety hazard esp. if you have kids and youre not home. There should be a recall on these knobs and shouldnt cost the consumer to fix the defect in the manufacturing problem!!!!

In May 2016, we purchased an LG set of kitchen appliances through Costco. We have had nothing but trouble with all of these appliances. The most egregious is the refrigerator. The compressor failed in March, 2019 (note, the fridge was less than 3 years old). According to our user manual, the warranty for the compressor was for 5 years parts but we would have to pay for labor. We contacted the number in the booklet for warranty service using the number listed for using the Smart Diagnosis service. After a very long round-robin of talking to one person after another, I finally was put through to a Smart Diagnosis technician. After many attempts to use the smart phone smart diagnosis, the tech said that it wasnt working (no surprise there. Has it ever worked on any LG appliance?)I finally called a local servicer who sent out a technician. He diagnosed the failed compressor and said he would obtain the part for us per warranty but we would have to pay the labor ($855.00) ourselves as it was not covered under the warranty. The serviceman was very negative about LG and even suggested we would be better off just buying a new refrigerator from another manufacturer. We decided to repair this one so he ordered the part and said he would call when it was in.In the meantime, my husband is researching LG appliances and discovers that LG extended the warranty to include the compressor part AND the labor for the first 5 years of the appliance. We were never notified by LG that a change was made to the warranty. When the repairman called with the part, we had him go ahead and install it. We had been without a refrigerator for a week by that time.We then called LG to attempt to get the $855 back from LG that we paid for the labor. I thought this would be easy. HAH. It is now two months later. I have talked with many different people, sent documentation twice, and all I am told is the reimbursement is under review... Thank goodness we purchased the refrigerator through Costco because the Costco Concierge service has been a great help by contacting LG directly for me. So far, LG is stalling them as well. I will post again if I ever see my $855 again. In the meantime, please do yourself a favor and NEVER buy any LG appliance!!

Purchased LFC24786ST from Lowes. Lowes staff was very good but LG customer service was terrible. The fridge compressor emits a high frequency noise that is horrible. LG denies they have ever had any problems with this. The delivery company who brought the replacement model told us he just replaced the same fridge for another customer because of the same problem. I will not purchase another LG product and recommend others go to another brand with another compressor.

Yesterday I stepped into a puddle of water at 5:00 am, thinking it was my puppy that had an accident. I turned on the light to find that my refrigerator had stopped working, and I had a lot of water all over the floor. It is a 2 year old refrigerator, and never expected this kind of trouble with a newer and expensive unit. Either way, dealing with LG, has been a nightmare!! Nothing but excuses, as to why they can’t come out to repair it!!! We not only don’t have a working fridge, but also keep dealing with inept employees that are useless, and scrambling to salvage our groceries!!! Even after an appointment gets scheduled, some other repair place, calls and reschedules it. We will never buy another LG product, this is terrible customer service!!!!

Beware of LG front loader washing machine WD13020D, especially for Australian users. The plastic wash drum which surrounds the stainless steel wash bowl is easily pierced by Australian fifty-cent piece. LG wont accept responsibility and said the hole in the plastic drum is caused by foreign body (indigenous fifty-cent piece. Natural habitat: pockets). I have heard of several instances of this happening.

I purchased an LG front load washer and dryer from Leons in Bancroft Ontario 5 years and 8 months ago. Shortly after we bought it, we noticed that our laundry was coming out with a sewage smell on it. We used the tub clean cycle as often as possible but it didnt really help. We also started to leave the door open which helped somewhat but the odor never really went away. On one occasion, I found that the machine had dumped suds on the floor. Last week I washed a load of towels and during the cycle, smoke started coming out of the drum area. I called Leons in Bancroft who referred me to a local service man as the machine was out of warranty. The service man said he would look a the machine but if it needed parts he couldnt help me as LG would not supply him with parts or tech support.I emailed LG who replied that they only supply parts to authorized service agencies. The one for my area was 60 kilometers away. LG stated that they would do a 1 time courtesy repair. I asked if they would also address the sewage stink issue as well. I was advised to add powdered detergent to the washer and cycle it to remove residue. I was also advised to mix up a solution of bleach and water and wipe down the gasket and dry it after each use! I also asked about what would happen the next time the machine started to smoke. I imagine that I would have to call the service agent who is 60 kilometers away and pay time and mileage as well as the service time. As far as I am concerned, where theres smoke theres fire and I dont trust this faulty machine to be in my house. It is now in my back yard and I purchased a top loading machine (not LG). I will not be buying any of their products in the future.

This microwave caught fire while steaming vegetables. We heard a snapping sound followed by the entire inside space bursting into flames. I was able to extinguish with no damage except to the microwave. Since the unit was only 10 months old and still under warranty I called LG. Their response was immediate and a technician (tech) was at our home the next day. Upon arrival and inspection he made a few comments: (1) Why did we clean up the damages inside the unit? (2) What happened? (3) I need to call home office to talk to inside Tech.He made the call as we stood there and a Tech on the phone asked him to send a video from his phone with instructions from the Tech on the phone. Once completed he hung up and said this unit is fried and needs to be replaced but two Techs from home office had to review. Ten minutes later they called back saying it was customer error due to GREASE FIRE and they would not repair or replace. My only choice was to escalate the claim to LG management which I did. After sending them store receipt I asked for the denial and reason in writing which they absolutely refused to give me. The next day they emailed me to say they set up a Return Authorization Review and I should hear from them within 2-3 business days. It is now five business days with no response!I went to the store where I purchased the LG microwave, gave them my notes and asked for help. Once reviewed by store and they seen what LG was putting me through they said they would replace the unit. Would you buy another LG product after reading about this runaround? I would not but I certainly will purchase again from Best Buy as they stood behind a product that the manufacturer, LG in this case, would not.

We purchased a French door LG refrigerator in Mar 2016. It was delivered and installed in Aug 2016. On Jun 15, 2018 the compressor went out. After an hour on the phone with LG customer service and contacting 12 different LG authorized repair people, none offered Saturday service. We finally found a local guy, willing to work on an LG refrigerator (MANY appliance repair people state on the home page of their website that they DO NOT SERVICE LG REFRIGERATORS or their outgoing VM gives this information). Within seconds of having the freezer torn apart, he confirmed that the compressor was out. We then spent the next two weeks, while on vacation, speaking with LG customer service and the repair person to TRY to get action towards a compressor replacement part before we got home. We arrived home to no compressor part and after ANOTHER call to LG customer service, found out that our claim had inexplicably been closed! WTH? I then barfed all over the LG USA Electronics Facebook page when the social media rep was able to get more information than 7 calls over two weeks with LG customer service had yielded. LG offered to pay for the part and the labor. Problem is NO LOCAL REPAIR PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH LG because they PAY SO LITTLE and this job will apparently take ALL DAY. So LG recommends this repair person who is an HOUR AWAY. It has now been two more weeks (yes, a whole month without a refrigerator or freezer in the heat of California summer) and STILL NO CALL that our repair is imminent. So today we call LG Customer Service again to find out the parts were delivered to the authorized LG repair person on Friday, July 13th and it is our responsibility to work it out with the repair person. To say that I am FURIOUS is an understatement. I want LG refrigerators BANNED from sale in California because of faulty manufacturing and beyond horrific customer service. LG is committing fraud. We did our research before buying this refrigerator. LG refrigerators received favorable reviews. BUT NOT SINCE WE BOUGHT OURS. LG apparently made a good product when the manufacturing was in S Korea or Mexico. Since moving their manufacturing to China, however, we are in the MAJORITY of people complaining about the shoddy piece of junk LG refrigerators now are. I want our refrigerator repaired so I can get rid of it and purchase a quality KitchenAid or Whirlpool refrigerator. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING LG AGAIN AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

Purchased brand new suite of stainless steel Kitchen appliance in December
Purchased brand new suite of stainless steel Kitchen appliance in December 2013, including LG French Door refrigerator Model# LFX31925ST/06, Inverter Dishwasher and thankfully NOT an LG wall oven from HHGregg Electronics. While first I must say the salespersons selling these appliance were not very knowledgeable or helpful. For if they were, they NEVER should have recommended LG appliances. This is my first issue. Secondly, the appliances look great and flashy, but the craftsmanship is less than sub-par as experienced on both the refrigerator and the dishwasher (dish dirtier as I refer to it). Had one service call on dishwasher within 6 months of buying, but service never alleviated the actual problem: The dishes do not get clean at even the strongest settings, and it takes over 2 hours on the short cycle. Finally the refrigerator and most of these are all likely deficient, compressor fan freezing, severe loud noises, and drawers breaking in freezer with normal use. MY conclusion (as I will not go into the NIGHTMARE of getting it repaired because this is an ongoing problem that no repair can fix), a consumer RECALL needs to made on these, as many people who are out of warranty are stuck with a 2000-3500.00 refrigerator that is worthless. Also, a CLASS ACTION SUIT SHOULD initiated as there was one against SAMSUNG in 2010, and LG is firmly aware of all these issues. MY hope is that either the US Consumer Bureau or an independent law firm reviews this immediately. Also I thank all those who take the time to place this information online too. If only I had read this BEFORE I purchased units. However I see some of the most recent reviews deal the freezer compressor and the EXTREME headache (not to say loss of food) that this has caused many. Life is NOT GOOD for the buyers of these products, but I am sure IT IS for the stockholders or LG Corporation. MY goal now is to get the seller of these product to REPLACE THEM and not with LG products either.

We bought this washing machine 6 or more months ago. From the first wash it was very disappointing. Dirt, hair and lint seems to be redistributed onto clothes. We contacted LG within a week of buying this top of the range machine. LGs response -- Clean the tub. Since then we have had the same response twice. We will not buy LG ever again. This washing machine seems to wet your clothes and nothing more. DO NOT BUY LG... youll be disappointed. Well be taking this much further. If a toaster doesnt toast, its faulty. This washing machine doesnt wash.

LG True Balance Washer - I agree with every negative review I have read. Bought this expensive laundry set that doesnt get clothes clean, throws itself off balance no matter how large or small the load is. Takes forever to do a few small loads and the clothes come out spotty (white clothes w/ detergent stains). I also bought the matching dryer that takes several tries to get the clothes dry. Dont use the high heat or your clothes stink. Very unhappy. Wish they would trade them out with something that works.

I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range for my new home that I moved in to in 2019. Close to 5000$. Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. I was so proud at how all three units looked in my kitchen and people were impressed with the look of them. Shame on you LG for selling expensive crap!! And then refusing to take care of your customers.

I have the LG refrigerator model LFXC24726S that is identified with the common premature failure of the compressor resulting in no cooling. I inherited this refrigerator when I bought the house 2 years ago, so I had no purchase receipt. The compressor failed recently and I called LG. They said the parts are covered under 10 years from date of purchase and labor 5 years from date of purchase. Since I didnt have the purchase receipt they went by the manufacture date of Sept. 2015. The unit failed and I called on 11/12/20. Just two months over the 5 years from manufacture date. They charged $125 on the phone for service call and another $250 for labor it took to replace the part(which was covered under warranty) to get their fail refrigerator up and running. The frustrating aspect to me is the logic that after large consumer appliance product is manufactured it doesnt get to the end user the next week. How many times do I see even on dry food products that the manufacture date is already at least month ago before it hits the supermarket shelves. I get the sense for large consumer appliances it would be more than 2 months from manufacture before it is purchased by end user. I know this refrigerator was purchased after Jan. 2016 because thats when the prior owners of my house had bought the house and remodel the kitchen, but obviously that could not help sway my case to waive the labor fee. My wife and I love the refrigerator, especially how the ice maker is small and on the door and it doesnt take up an entire corner of top shelf corner and also retains some small shelves on the dispenser door unlike Samsung unit we had in our prior home where we lost top corner shelve space and lost the smaller shelves on the inside of the dispenser door. Unfortunately, we are not going to go with LG for our next refrigerator. It is just too unreliable and I have to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for their failed product. Not to mention it took 6 days before a technician can come out.

We purchased a refrigerator LFX31925SW, which I thought was top of the line. 2 months shy of 3 years, the compressor went out. Of course it was out of warranty. I did call LG tech support/customer service and they gave me the phone number of an LG authorized repair company. I called, they had retired, gone out of business. I called LG back, numerous times, I even used the chat online, I was told the same thing each time, it had to be an LG repairman. We live in a small town, kind of rural, I explained to them (over and over) that I had tried for 2 weeks to find someone to come and check our refrigerator, they kept insisting that they have LG repairmen all over the country. Someone would get back to us. Well, 2 weeks after that I received a message on my phone that they would go ahead and approve the one company I was able to get a hold of to replace the compressor (the compressor has a 10-year warranty). When I spoke to the repair company they had spoken with someone at LG, but LG had not faxed the authorization. I have called LG numerous times and get a different response every time. We have now been without our refrigerator a month now. We paid 2500.00 for this fridge from Home Depot 2 and a half years ago, you would think it would last or that LG would honor their commitment. I do not see us buying LG ever again in the future.

Purchased my washer machine 1/3/08. The drum in my washer stopped turning, no warning lights of any kind came on. Called LG and because I didnt get their extent warranty, my washer repair for parts only was going to be $500.00 plus not including labor. I had to use my daughter Lowes card to buy another washer. Having a washer for only 2 year paying $880.11 from Home Depot. Called LG customer services and LG Customer interactive Center. They said my model washer was made in 2006, dont know what that had to do with anything because been made in 2006 and with me purchasing it in 2008, my washer shouldve lasted long then that. Please can someone help me? Dont understand how big company get a way with beating us out of our money and nothing can be done. Angry! There is a defect with this washer!

Like thousands of other LG Refrigerator victims my new LG model LSXS26366S died. I had to throw out over $200.00 worth of fresh food, spent another $1000 on repairs. I called LG speaking to call centers overseas trained to kill you with kindness as they provide no help. Then had to pay a local company to look at it, the technicians said I hate to tell you youre screwed sir, a sealed system failure. Compressor. Then LG on the 4th day arranged a company that showed up in the 1970 tiny pickup truck, they do not accept credit cards cash only- yup sealed system failure that will be another $89.00 bucks. $1,100 to fix it. The Federal Trade Commission is allowing LG Electronics USA to continue to rip-off Americans. LG is aware of their defective compressors & systems. I was told they are back ordered in Korea, could be 2 months before parts become available. A Class Action Lawsuit must be filed to protect Honest Americans from this company. Furthermore - If your large retail chain store is selling LG appliances - YOU ARE RIPPING OFF Your customers.

Every time I called, I got a different explanation of what I had to do to get a resolution. I basically got lied to every time I called. I got from 2 days to 15 days. Then I got, “Oh, you must submit this and that.” Every one of them that I could understand said, “Oh, sorry for your problem. Ill note that and that is all I can do.” As well as, “System is down today, sorry.” I requested a senior advisor or someone and never got anything but, “All I can do is note that, so sorry. Anything else I can do?The cost from the spoiled food I have had to throw out over the years is astronomical. The fact that I havent gotten seriously sick from the food is miraculous. Every time I had a little food that didnt taste right, I threw it out. There were so many times my ranch salad dressing tasted so sour, but I ate some and served it. But then I replaced it. I and my guests are lucky we werent poisoned, though I have had some minor stomach bouts. And now think I know why.I have suffered with a horrible refrigerator from LG for almost 5 years. I purchased an extended warranty (worthless) from Assurant. It has malfunctioned since day 1. I made a few calls early on and gave up...Due to personal circumstances recently (divorce and unemployment), I needed to have my refrigerator working for my future sustenance. So before the warranty ran out, I started on this ridiculous journey of trying to get it fixed. It has turned into a nightmare. And from what I can gather, guess I am lucky my house didnt burn down from some defect LG knew about, as well as not to be dead from food poisoning.

You know I expected that LG would be a good company and that if should something happen to my recently purchased LG fridge, that they would provide good service to me. How wrong I was. LG really let me down with not just their product - this new expensive fridge that broke that just after 1 year, but especially with their service. I asked if they could provide a service technician and the only one in my area wont repair the coolant system. So they purposely have the only technician in the Greater Vancouver area not do coolant systems. This seems designed to frustrate customers. They then said they could get another technician a week later who would cost $500 for labor (5 times the other service rate). In the end, I decided to scrap my fairly new fridge and get a KitchenAid fridge because its a better quality product and KitchenAid does right by its customers. LG is a really terrible company and I would recommend staying away from their products if you dont want to go through service hell.

There are only two adults in the household. The dryer works well and does not over dry the clothes. My only complaint is that the washer takes way too long on the normal cycle. Thus I use the quick cycle on most loads.

I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

We had an LG refrigerator and over-stove microwave. Little things broke, bits of plastic, brackets etc., large annoyance factor. Also freezer at highest setting but does not get lower than 20 degrees (should be zero). Panel above door of microwave broke loose, could not be reset, had to hold it in place with tape. The brackets that hold up drawers for fruit & vegetables broke, we got a replacement, it broke again. This was all in the first year. The things just feel cheap and unreliable. We junked the microwave a year ago. Today, last straw for the fridge. The auto ice maker, over several weeks, was working, then stopped, then started again, then stopped, then started once more -- then went crazy! It would not stop pouring water into the ice tray. Had to cut off water supply. If we hadnt been home at the time and noticed, it would have flooded our kitchen. I have had it. Good Riddance LG!

Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. My wife purchased the top of the line LG French door at Lowes in Griffin, Ga 7-27-14 (over $3000!). On 8-13, unit made strange humming sound and 8-14, freezer quit (suspect frig also but we kept door closed). He asked had we reset?? anything or made any adjustments to the temp...I wouldnt even know HOW? He had me unplug, then reset temp to -6 and then place a cup of water in the freezer and call him back in 3 hours. The whole time humming/unusual sounds still there. I called back at 11pm EST as instructed, and cup of water still just a cup of water, did not freeze. He then told me we were out of their normal service area??? and it will take 2-3 days for a technician to arrive! Seriously! Hello, this is the year 2014, not 1934. I then got upset. I called Lowes the next morning at 6am. They brought a loaner frig and placed on our front porch. As soon as it was unloaded, the LG mysteriously started working and the sound went away. I am calling Lowes this morning for a full refund. I am not going to get involved with this mystery problem going back and forth. This is a letter I sent to the President and CEO of the Co. I am writing in regards to a repair problem Im having with my LG refrigerator model #LFX31025ST. At the beginning of May 2017 I noticed that it was not cooling properly and making a strange sound. Within a few days the temperature was well above normal range 45 degrees plus and continued to rise in the both the refrigerator and freezer. At that point I made a call to LG, (May 8) and was told my extended warranty was expired but I was still covered with my manufacturer warranty for the compressor. I then purchased a warranty from Assurance as suggested by LG customer service for the cost of $358. Had an appointment set up, then waited 16 days for the first appt. The first technician that came out said it was the condenser and he needed to order a part. (Service date May 19.) The second tech came out on (service date June 5) to install condenser and said the compressor was bad as well and that apparently the first tech missed it. He then proceeded to order parts but never bothered to call when they came in, until I called 4 or 5 times to inquire. My next service date was on June 21. Repairs made, but still did not cool! He also made a total of 3 cuts to my new kitchen floor which I have pictures of and never mentioned it to us! We didnt notice until the Authorized LG Tech saw upon pulling out the fridge for the 3rd repair. Our next service date was June 27, but the tech was a no-show. Called LG and they apologized and said it was their fault for not confirming. At that time I was set up for another appt. on July 5. When they didnt show again I was told by LG that when they called G&A Appliance (the co. that had been servicing us) G&A stated there was nothing more they could do. I still dont understand why they would make me wait another 8 days before saying something. So LG set me up with a Authorized Service Tech who came out on July 19. He examined the fridge and found the subsequent work to be inferior and not complete. More parts needed to be ordered and installed.Next repair date July 25, work was done, system seemed to be cooling before tech left. Was advised not to put anything in it for a couple days just to be sure. Over the next 48 hrs the fridge got down to a temp of 45 but no lower and the freezer got to 20 but no lower. Called LG back to sched. tech to come back out and was told there was no openings. I asked to speak with a supervisor and got a nice woman named Brenda, who said she was putting me on a anytime/anyday timeframe. She was also marking it as a reclaim.Waited 6 days and never heard from anyone so called back on Aug 2 and spoke to Jewel who said I was on the sched. for Aug 8. Well Aug 8th arrived and no service tech!!! Called and spoke to Jason this time and was told I needed to sched. my appt. through Assurant because my original warranty was up. Well my compressor is warrantied for 10 yrs so no, my warranty is not up and the repairs thus far have not worked. Well I complied and called Assurant and was told they have no available appointments... Really?? He said to call back in a few days to see if theres an opening. I have never heard of such a thing. So in summary Ive been without my refrigerator for over 3 months with apparently no fix in sight. Spent countless hours, yes HOURS on the phone explaining my problem and setting up appts. I bought my LG refrigerator only 5 yrs ago along with a stove, microwave, and dishwasher all LG. The fact that the fridge had a 10 yr compressor warranty was a big part of our decision to purchase, not mention the roomy interior as opposed to other manufacturers models and the excellent LED lighting! At this time Im asking for a replacement or refund of this product which you have been unable to repair under the warranty. I feel that I have been more than patient in this matter. I really cant continue to live out of a cooler. I appreciate you taking the time to read my email, I look forward to speaking with someone to resolve this matter.

Have had 3 service tickets and the compressor was just replaced 6 months ago and is out again and so I have been without a fridge now for over 2 weeks, during the hottest time of the year and Ill just say it, LG doesnt care. Working with LG customer service has literally been the worst experience Ive had with any company, EVER!!! I cannot even begin to explain on how bad and unhelpful they are or how many times Ive waited on hold only to get dropped (it literally just happened) or transferred and dropped. This is one of my favorites. When I called in several weeks ago to set up an appointment, they said that Id be contacted with 48 hours... Well, after 57 hours I reached back out and they told me since they couldnt find anyone to repair my fridge, they cancelled my appointment, when I asked them when they were going to tell me?.... Crickets. Then I tried to reschedule and they said they get 3-5 more days to do that, excuse me, what??? I am currently trying to get a refund on my fridge and hopefully some of the $1K worth of food I had to throw or give away... Fun fact; LG only does up to $300 and if you fill out one question wrong on their form it tells you that you arent eligible and it locks you out, awesome, right??? Bottom line, quality, at least on their refrigerators is awful (class action lawsuit out against them on their compressors) but customer service is even worse, NEVER buy LG or pray you never need to contact customer service.

My LG bottom freezer completely went out even with a proven working outlet
My LG bottom freezer completely went out even with a proven working outlet Sat night full of food after 12 hour shift working as an RN. Less than 5 years old, replaced ice maker. Center shelves on refrigerator cracked. Drawers broken. I am at loss as what to make of this substandard refrigerator. I imagine circuit board or sensor broken. Unsuccessful in obtaining any data to move my internal fridge to work, not even taking in consideration the substandard condition of the inside of refrigerator.

Our oven range of its own volition heats up to maximum heat, will not shut off and has to be totally unplugged from electricity. This happened to me 6th Sept 2019. LG has a recall with full in home service for many units exhibiting this potential catastrophic fault. When contacted LG informed me my model was not on the recall list. Their concern and help consisted of advising me to have a recognized LG technician at a cost up to $240 check to find the problem and get it fixed. Check the recall. Judge for yourself if you now want to risk your home, property, life and physical injury buying a LG electric oven range.

Bought an LG refrigerator in 11/2017 with the linear inverter compressor. It quit working in 6/2021. Even though the compressor is covered with a 10 year warranty, I fear that it will be replaced with another faulty defective compressor. We have an LG technician coming soon and I will provide an update on the repair status. I give the refrigerator one star because a failed compressor in just 3.5 years is a bad sign coupled with a class action lawsuit against LG for producing a defective refrigerator.

Purchased an LG (LDF7561ST) dishwasher about a month ago. Had a really bad toxic smell while it was running. Had to turn it off & open the windows. The toxic smell was actually burning my eyes & making me nauseous. I was also concerned about IT BEING a fire hazard. I ran it again the next day (with the windows opened), the smell was there again, but this time I ran the full cycle. The smell became more intense. The dishes didnt dry well and the next day after that, the inside of the dishwasher was still wet.I was thankful I purchase the dishwasher from PC Richards because after I refused to get it fix, they took it away and said I could purchase a different washer. Liking all the features the LG has & thinking the dishwasher had a defect, ON MAY 2, I asked for the same LG dishwasher AND ENDED UP WITH THE SAME TOXIC SMELL AND DISHES WERE STILL SLIGHTLY WET. On May 5, I called PC Richards & complained again. This dishwasher is nothing but a headache! I will never purchase a LG dishwasher again!!!!

We bought a LG manufactured french door refrigerator from Sears in July of 2015 and it failed July 2020. Beautiful fridge to look at, but thats it. Firstly the freezer can no longer keep ice cream and certain other products. Secondly, the slim-line ice maker located in the door will not dump the ice in the container. Thirdly, the mullion (between the french doors) will not operate properly. The Sears technician came today found that the COMPRESSOR is failing and the BOARD is no good. To replace both will cost me about $900. He said LG is aware of these COMPRESSORS failing and that there is a class-action lawsuit against LG. My previous Sears refrigerator (manufactured by Whirlpool) lasted over 20 years. I have a number of LG products in my home, a television which works fine, two computer monitors which work fine, three window air conditioning units (two 8000 btu units and one 18,000 btu unit purchased in 2007). The COMPRESSOR on the 18,000 btu unit has been out for the last 7 years. I will no longer buy LG products.

Purchased an LG Refrigerator only 2 years ago, compressor has already failed. Been without refrigerator for nearly five weeks because of constant run around from LG (also purchased the extended warranty), had two different repair companies (both sent from LG as certified company to do repair) and bottom line is the parts are not available because of the multitude of Compressor failures. It will be at least two months before a compressor is through production and shipped from Korea. For all of you experiencing compressor failure PLEASE CONTACT THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. This is obviously a recall situation but they wont do that. For all of you being told your repairman cant fix your refrigerator, that is not true, there simply are no parts available and when that is the case LG is in breach of their warranties and would be forced to issue you a refund or replace on your purchase, they are giving you the run around to avoid having to pay. DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT, KEEP THE PRESSURE ON.

I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator with model # LFX28978 last May 2011. The freezer has had constant problems with frost, not closing properly, seal defect, etc. I have had numerous calls with LG. The last one, the lady who answered said and I quote You have to remove the second drawer, open the door twice every 27 times you open the freezer door, pull up and down on the door and to align the track and slam close twice. This is the most stupid thing I have ever heard in my life. This isnt going to work, there is some kind of design defect and LG should replace it.

This washing machine started leaking in the first few months. LG has sent out a service technician 5 times over the past year. The machine continues to leak. Our wait times are 30 minutes at least to get through to customer service. Today we were told they would not replace the machine until a technician deems it unrepairable. Now a year into this process, it is clear they will keep wasting our time and sending out repair technicians without ever replacing the faulty washer. This will be the last LG product we ever buy.

In Feb 2014 same thing happened. Again lost food to thawing. Repairman once again replaced freezer fan grill, this time with a built-in heater that was supposed to prevent it from icing up and malfunctioning. The repairman, for the second time, also replaced main circuit board. 24 Mar 2014 freezer again stopped working. Have to wait another week to get a repairman to evaluate it. We had purchased both the washer and dryer at the same time from Lowes while building our home. I documented all of the steps we had taken and responses from LG on our repair. Went back to Lowes (where purchased from) and asked to talk to the manager. After showing him the paperwork and relating my experience he allowed me to exchange the both machines. The appliance manager worked with me and I picked out a Whirlpool Duet W&D. They scheduled a date to pick up the LG units and deliver the new Whirlpool units. I couldnt be happier with the Whirlpools, and received the difference in the cost back. I did initially call Lowes headquarters to ask if they would exchange my machines and was told that it was up to the manager at the store I purchased them from. I was very calm and respectful and had all of the paperwork to show the manager. They were really great. I will never by LG again.

Bought Sears Kenmore Model 795*77319600 (During troubleshooting I discovered this unit was made by LG for Sears!) in Oct 2007. Sequence of failure(s): 1st) Nov 2007 Upper freezer drawer basket rail bracket tabs crack - I used nylon zip ties to hold basket in place. 2nd) Apr 2008: Lower freezer drawer bin divider cracked at top edge. - Lived with defect, hoping it would hold. Repaired crack by splicing it with a plastic reinforcement plate in Aug 2014. 3rd) June 2010: Refrigerator lights fail, no plastic melted, nor food spoilage - I researched and found numerous similar customer complaints and LG recommended fix. I removed light cover lens, and both light bulbs, and used fridge w/o light! 4th) July 2014: Freezer no longer makes ice, progressively temperature gets warmer, then refrigerator starts to stay warm - Decided not to involve Sears Customer Service for repair, but rather do it myself. $1200 fridge/freezer should not die @ 7 years! I did some research, found a similar model service manual online, did some troubleshooting of the cooling/freezing system - sensor(s), and defrost timer. Found R134a to be too low. Fixed it myself for $35. Maybe I can get 7 more years @ $5 per year out of this LG piece of junk! I sympathize with my fellow Americans. Consumer trust has declined due to cheap poorly designed products... Whats the reason? Greed, Lack of Pride, Lack of Accountability. Make junk so we can buy more sooner? What would our ancestors think?

Purchased 2 new LG dishwashers for my new home from Sears. Both failed completely after approx 16 months within 2 weeks of each other with the same problem. Sears wouldnt send a service man even though I offered to pay for the call knowing they were out of warranty. Too far out of Edmonton was the excuse!! Not too far to deliver the appliances!! Funny how that works.Anyhow both power supplies failed and were replaced with an updated version. Funny that they know the parts are faulty but wont even cover the defective parts under warranty. Both dishwashers still have lots of error codes and fail midway thru cycles more than 50% of the time. No one at LG or Sears seems to care so I guess when they die completely Ill replace them with another brand and thru a retailer other than Sears who will agree to service them in my area in writing prior to purchase. LG and Sears will never see me as a customer again and I feel ashamed that I spent over $30,000.00 with them on new appliances. Good luck to you both!! NOT!

LG has a good product and they have a good reputation, so I went with them. I had a talk with them regarding the compressor which was bad and the fluid which was leaking. I was without a refrigerator for three weeks and I told them that when I bought it, I had the same issue. When their people came, they changed the compressor and it was fine. But then, the technician told me when they came out for the third time that even if they change the fluid, they cannot guarantee that the refrigerator will work. It might work for a year, it might go bad in one week. But overall, everything is fine and I had a good experience with LG. Still, if the refrigerator goes bad again, I want LG to replace it for me.

New LG washing machine default wash setting of NORMAL only fills tub with about 1/4 of water. I watched a complete wash cycle and some of the towels were never submerged in the water. They did not get sloshed or agitated in any water. They just stayed in a pile above the water line. This is terrible. I called LG and they told me that was normal for the NORMAL setting to save water. If I put a lot of clothes in the tub I have to choose the bedding setting so the tub will fill with water and the clothes then get washed properly. I am so sorry I did not check and observe this as my 30 day free return period has passed by just 10 days. I would definitely have returned this washing machine if I had known it doesnt have a means to sense how much water to put into the tub. Also trying to get service on their website is not easy. I will never buy any LG product in the future. LG = Living Good, well not for me.

I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) We purchased an LG Bottom Freezer Fridge in 2011, cost over $2000. To date we have had 3 service calls for faulty boards to a drilling sound loud enough to drown out my TV in the next room. I paid $200 for an extended warranty to repair the first time the drilling sound started. Warranty valid for 90 day only. 1 year to the day, the drilling sound started again. I called LG customer service. The first person Eddie hung up less than 5 minutes into the call. Called back to a person by the name of Luigie. I explained the issue to him, he had 2 ways to resolve the problem, 1: spend another $200 for a service call or 2: unplug my fully stocked refrigerator for a few days, when asked if LG was going to replace the spoilage, he said that LG does not assume that liability however, he did tell me that the issue is known by LG. Never again will I buy an LG product!

My husband and I purchased an LG Refrigerator, model number LFC23760ST. It was delivered on 6/17/2009. About 1 month later, we experienced getting shocked while reaching for food items while holding on to the door. We called LG, and they told us to call an authorized repair agency and gave us 2 names. We called both of those companies and neither would come to look at our appliance. They said that LG doesnt pay them. We called LG. They told my husband that it must be a problem with the house and not the refrigerator. My husband talked to them on many more occasions, and they said that they would send someone, but no one ever came. Now, the refrigerator completely went out. On October 12th 2011, we called LG. They gave us the same name (1 now) of an authorized repair agency. We called them and they do not come to our area. So, apparently, we never have had any warranty on this product. We did get Sears appliance repair to come out. It turns out to be a blown fuse that is soldered to a control panel. So, $369.00 later and another week without a refrigerator (to order the part), did the short causing us to be shocked cause the fuse to go out? When the repair gets made, will we still get shocked? Why is LG not more concerned about my well-being and that of husbands, and should there be death or serious injury before they will show care at all? Or maybe, the only time they will care is if they are sued and it hurts their pocket book? It has hurt mine both in repairs and loss of groceries. I dont know if anything can be done about this situation but I will never purchase another LG product, and I will tell as many people who will listen not to do so as well. Always remember, if you have a warranty repair on an LG product, no one will come!

Following in quotes is my last communication to LG about the warranty claim for my over-the-range microwave. Following their second opinion mentioned in the communication they finally replaced the unit. Honestly I have a house full of LG appliances and electronics and all in all I’m happy with them all but if my warranty experience is anything like standard, I hope your product never breaks. The following stands as my review: “I have a warranty claim for a $189 over the range microwave that’s been going on since 7/11 with 6 repair visits and another scheduled for 9/21. Everything has been replaced at least twice and some things 4 times and it still doesn’t work and still, regardless of my begging including a desperate letter to the company president, you refuse to replace the unit. Your last reply was that my request was denied and you were seeking a second opinion. Turns out it’s from the same repair company who have already sent two different technicians. Love your products. HATE your warranty service. Case **. Service costs listed on visit receipts exceed $1,700. Seems a bit much for a $189 unit. PLEASE HELP!!!”

My LG French Door refrigerator was just under 2 years old when it stopped cooling. Bought it on 9/15/2015, and it died on 9/10/2017. Called LG to find a certified repair person, and not a one would provide service to me as I was outside their service area. This was despite only being 30 minutes away from a Home Depot from whom I bought it. I went round and round with LG on how to service this refrigerator and their lack of repair service. The closest certified LG repair shop would not repair LG compressors! Really!! LG gave me the OK to use a local repairman, they diagnosed it as the compressor, which it was, but would not touch it. Another local repairman told me no one wants to service these refrigerators. Finally found an LG repairman farther away than 4 others who would not service it, and he charged me $750 labor (due to mileage of 70 miles) to come out and fix the compressor which was under warranty. He told me that this compressors are cheap foreign made units and do not expect them to last more than 7-10 years. He said the LG refrigerators are poorly made, but pretty on the outside. Dont buy an LG refrigerator due to this well known problem, and the fact that LG certified service is not available even though they are sold nearby. Go with Kenmore (Sears) and other USA serviced products who at least will service their products.

At the time of my purchase I truly believed that I was making the absolute best decision and that I was purchasing the very best refrigerator line that money can buy, however I now feel like I have made the absolute worse decision and I feel totally exasperated because my family and I sit here in our home living out of coolers for over 6 weeks and constantly managing ice to keep our food from spoiling. The problem is that this refrigerator has been out of order since August 8th, it is now Sept 19th and we are facing the 5th time of parts being placed on back order. If I had some idea of when the parts would arrive rather than facing the 5th time of being backordered there might be some peace of mind. Unfortunately, I have no idea when this part will arrive and will ultimately be repaired. It has already been 6 weeks of living out of coolers. I have called LG customer service multiple times and have dealt with friendly support people who try to help most times leaving the call believing there was a solution soon including being told twice that if the back order is beyond 10 days that the refrigerator would be submitted for likely replacement. No action on this yet just excuses when I follow up. My refrigerator was delivered Dec 2015 then began noticing problems in July 2017. I had a repair technician at our home on August 8th. Now I sit here with this top of line refrigerator with absolutely no idea when it will be repaired. In the past, I have always purchased less expensive models or maybe what could be thought of as lower quality brands. I have been fairly satisfied with these competitive brands, with only frequent problems requiring regular repairs. Understandably, I anticipate repairs on all appliances used in my home (those would have been better choices at this point), but this current repair, the time to get it handled and still with no solution is 100% unacceptable. I purchased this brand and model believing the product and support would be first class. I hope that you can comprehend how much of a great inconvenience this has been to be 6 weeks without a refrigerator to me and all my children. I need help and I need it soon! I am feeling inclined to make many more people aware of the support and lack of LG standing behind their products.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator/freezer a year and a half ago and the compressor already went. I have a warranty and it took 3 days for a repair service to come out and tell me he doesnt know how long it will take to order the part and be back to repair it. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator and all my food spoiled. LG service reps have NO CLUE what they are talking you through on the phone and no help in regards to being reimbursed for loss of food! In OTHER WORDS DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS because their customer service and repair turn around time SUCKS!!!

LG microwave dead at 18 months!! I bought an LG kitchen suite. I decided to go with the pricier microwave which looked good and had cool features expecting at least 5 years of function. I bought Model#: LMHM2237ST. It just died one day, no clock, no lights, no power, nothing. Called LG, it is out of warranty period. LG sends me warranty extension offers so frequently for all the appliances but now I understand why. At this point I cannot recommend LG to anyone. Disappointed.

I ordered online from Home Depot. LG dryer was to be installed, old dryer removed. No problem except dryer now sits in my laundry room 12 inches from the wall and will not complete a drying cycle. My home, as many high end homes in Florida, has venting up thru attic and out the roof. The dryer will not work, have had vents cleaned, and I so regret this purchase. I, at almost 60, am taking my clothes to a laundry to dry them. Instructions state to reroute exhaust? Home Depot will not accept a return? Stated they asked LG and LG said no. Well, will donate the dryer and purchase something that will work. A Roper and from Lowes, better quality and service.

LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine
LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine in April 2012 and loved this machine. Then, I receive this “must do recall” on the washing machine, and I took care of this service on February 28th. Well, that was the biggest mistake of my life. I hate this washing machine. It takes hours to wash a load of wash. It continually gets unbalanced while trying to spin and then starts to add water and try again. This becomes continual and you never know when your wash is going to be done. The express wash of 35 minutes ended up to be 75 minutes yesterday. Tomorrow it could be another time, and the day after that, another time. If you are not having issues with your machine, skip the recall service. I am wasting my time, my clothes are getting worn out from continual washes at one time, and my electricity bill is going up. Plus, I have an expensive washing machine that is probably soon going to the dump because I know they are not going to give me my money back.

Brand new LG fridge. My fridge broke May 7! (6 months). Today is June 17th and I still haven’t got a new unit. This fridge has cost me more in food going bad than the cost of the fridge. I have 2 babies and two elderly people in their late 70’s that live with me. Shame on LG for not caring.

After less than one year of owning my stainless LG gas range, the 5 knobs, which are made to mimic stainless, bubbled on the outside and cracked at the attachment spot. LG replaced them as it was within the warranty period. That was February 12, 2011. Less than one year later, 4 of 5 knobs are again bubbled and broken. I have not phoned LG to see their response yet but regardless, clearly the quality is incredibly poor.

My mom purchased an LG washing machine over a year ago and we have had nothing but problems. The washing machine will say UE which is uneven. You could have a large or small load and it will go uneven. When you restart the load, it will add more time and then go uneven again. There are times it will take over an hour to complete a load. You can never do small loads! I will never purchase an LG washer again. I want to get rid of this machine so bad, hard when we have paid so much for this washer. According to other reviews this is a very common issue with these washers.
