Purchased a front load washer model WM2455HG and dryer set with stacking bracket 6 years ago. Washer makes a terrible grinding noise and stops spinning, rocks, and starts grinding etc, etc. Have tried to get a repair person to look at it. When I tell them its a LG they laugh and suggests I just purchase a new washer. I have the dryer that stacks on the washer, now Im being told that theres no LG washer that is compatible with dryer stacking bracket, that Ill have to buy a new washer and dryer. Called LG, they dont have a clue. Was told to buy washer, if it dont work, to return it.

LG Refrigerator - Paid $3500. JOKE. Been repaired repeatedly by P.C. Richards service department. Theyve even asked LG to replace the unit as all possible parts have been replaced. This is the worst possible product. LG has now lost a customer and Im telling everyone I know not to purchase. I thought I was buying a top of the line product... French doors, freezer drawers (that come off track). Water lines froze constantly and now compressor has broken numerous times. Ive lost about $1,000 in products to no refrigeration/freezer. Tomorrow will be the 6th attempted repair since April. HELP!

$3,000 5-yr.-old top of the line LG refrigerator still not fixed after 5 weeks! Horrible customer service! LG has not been able to repair it in 5 weeks with 6 visits from repairman. BTW: ONLY PARTS are covered by LG warranty, not labor. If your LG fridge breaks the day after you buy it, YOU pay for labor, and each call involves a minimum of two visits by repairman - one to look at it so he can order parts (they keep nothing in stock) and at least one return to try to fix it.The repairman suggested on his FIRST visit that we BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR, before he even ordered the new compressor. They do not want to honor warranty. They want you to give up and buy a new appliance! He actually said refrigerators do not last more than 5 years! My son in law has spent hours on the phone (mostly on hold) trying to arrange repairs, been transferred to departments that are closed, been told to call back tomorrow (when departments are closed), and been told that the earliest available repair appointment was 4 weeks away! He has been hung up on. He has been told that they cannot access his records and that the only department that can access his records is not open today (Friday). The repairman suggested more than once that we buy a new refrigerator instead of requiring LG to honor their warranty. Who spends $3,000 on a fridge they expect to last only 5 years?

We bought our LG fridge from Best Buy about 4 years ago. Earlier this week our compressor stopped working. We lost the entire freezer and fridge of food. After calling the company and spending more than one hour on the phone they scheduled an appointment for me within 2 days and told me not to worry. It was under warranty. I waited home all day on the scheduled appointment from 12-5 and no one came. When I called the company supposedly coming, they told me they had no record of an appointment at my home. Upon calling LG back they said sorry this appointment was never actually confirmed but since everyone is closed, you call some service providers and we will pay them if they can come. No one will come, they all laugh at me and tell me that LG will never pay them and that it will take upwards of 8 weeks to even get an appointment with them. Ive now called LG back two more times, they made an appointment, confirmed an appointment and subsequently when calling that service company, they report they never received that confirmation so again they did not show up. This will be my 5th phone call upwards of 60 minutes on each and all they can offer me is $250 for loss of food. They are not willing to offer anything else to help out with possibly going 8 weeks without a fridge. To say this is disappointing is a huge understatement. I will never buy another LG appliance.

After being told that this washer was the most top-rated, we decided to make the move to this HE machine to save water. It has the clear top, so we were suspicious from the start with the minimal activity and agitation seen with the impeller system versus our old machine, plus it appeared that some clothes werent even getting wet! But the information we had read told us that all of this was normal. We were shocked at the 1:47 hours to complete a load, but again, we were able to wash twice as much in one load. BUT, a load of heavily soiled Levis from gardening, which would have been no problem with our old machine, came out filthy, even using the Heavy-duty cycle with extra water! TWICE!! This really is not acceptable, but we dont have a lot of faith in trying any other HE machine now either. We are reading bad reviews on pretty much all of them!

I have model LSSE3026ST (LG Studio electric range). As others have reported, the stovetop turns on with the slightest bump of a knob. We have had dinner guests help in the kitchen and accidentally turn on the stove. My husband and I have accidentally turned the stove on numerous times as we reach into a cabinet or the microwave. I have to check the stove each time I leave the house because I am terrified that somebody in our house may have accidentally bumped a knob and turned the stove on. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed.

I purchased a L.G. refrigerator model # LFXS29766S approximately 5 years ago. 2.5 years after purchase it completely failed and stopped working. We waited approximately 3 weeks for it to be prepared and life went on. Now 2 years later the same problem has occurred and my family is once again without a refrigerator. This time however dealing with the customer service department had been horrible. I have now been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have not heard from L.G. once. I have spent several hours on hold on many days just trying to get some help. Completely disappointed with the products life span. You cant sell a product for nearly 3,000 dollars and have it not work. Based on the current situation I find it difficult to believe that I will EVER purchase a L.G. product again. Currently Ive been placed on infinite hold because I asked to speak with a supervisor. Thanks Shawn/Sean # ** for your amazing lack of help and waste of time.

I purchased a $ 2600 2015 LG French door refrigerator, LFXC24726*S, in November 2014. Now after only 17 months of actual use the whole system failed. Now Im no math major but a product this expensive should not be breaking down so soon. Its been two weeks and the repairman still hasnt received the part to fix the problem. No wonder Home Depot advised me to get the protection plan. In the future I will not be buying anymore LG PRODUCTS. Life is not so good when the consumer purchases a LG APPLIANCE.

Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa
Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

We purchased our LG side-by-side white refrigerator Model # LSC27931SW in 2009 from the Home Depot with the 4-year warranty. The edge area directly under the plastic water dispenser shelf on the front of the refrigerator is rusting. This sticks out like a sore thumb! We called Home Depot and were advised to call LG because cosmetic things werent covered under the 4-year warranty. We called LG and they said we had to take pictures and fill out a form, which they emailed to us. We couldnt upload the pictures so we will call LG to see if we can fax them instead. I dont know the quality of the electrostatic painting they use but its awful. I dont expect anything to be rectified from them. Never in our lives have we had any problems with paint on any refrigerator! Do not buy LG. The ice maker also jams but we live with that. At least, it hasnt broken down. It is junk - pure junk.

Makes no sense--the delivery setup guys should have never replaced that line.

My LG side by side refrigerator freezer stopped working 8/5/21. Was purchased in 2015. Called customer service and was provided authorized servicemen, (3). Called and neither were able to assist. One was out of business. Upon speaking again, customer service explained authorization process (1-3) weeks. Not acceptable I told her. I had a tech to come out and it was the linear compressor. Talked with customer service again 8/6/21. Informed her all my food was about spoil. Working between neighbors and coolers to salvage some. I explained process needed to speed up and I had already researched the LG lawsuit its linear compressors. She finally gave me an extended warranty and referred me to A&E Factory Svcs. Upon researching this company it has a 1 star rating (not good). I plan to reach out to BBB and Attorney General. The part is $400, and labor is $600. She assured me with the extended warranty all would be covered. We will wait to see this. Look to hear from me soon. Jacqueline

I have never been more appalled and disgusted with a company and customer service in my life. Last night while doing laundry, my LG electric dryer of the last 4 year, the cord connecting in the back of the dryer caught fire and melted. Thank goodness we were home and the dryer shut off with no further damage to the house other than the wire and casing in the back of the dryer completely melting. I called the customer service line to let them know what happened and the lady sounding like she was reading from a manual telling me that I had to set up a service call which I understood. Then she tells me that I have to pay over $275 upfront for repairs before they will send anyone out. I told her that the malfunction was not my fault that there is a defect in the product and she said unfortunately unless I pay upfront they can not send anyone out. I told her to send someone out and if the repairman somehow found us at fault we would pay then, but before he came out to look at it. How do you charge someone for a repair that they havent even seen yet to know what needs to be fixed. How do you charge someone upfront for a repair that was a manufacturers defect? A defect that could have burnt my house down or worse killed my entire family had we been sleeping. For safety measures I had an electrician come out to the house the very next day to ensure it wasnt an electrical issue on my end and he even said its wasnt anything from the house end, that it was an internal issue with the dryer.

Our two month old LG Microwave Oven Model LCS1112ST bit the dust yesterday and I immediately contacted LG Customer Support. After jumping through all the hoops sending them a receipt, proof of damage, etc., I was expecting my $ back since it had a one year warranty. I received an e-mail saying in order to process my claim, I had to buy another LG microwave before they would consider any refund. Completely unsatisfied with this nonsense, I called and spoke to a gentleman that passed me on to supposedly the supervisor. She said that we were to send a letter explaining why we bought a GE microwave instead of an LG microwave along with additional documentation. Why would I buy another LG product? LG does not stand behind their warranty! DO NOT buy any LG product! They simply want your $ and they do not care about customer satisfaction!!!

Our LG washer/dryer is less than 5 years old. We bought these top of the line machines since we are getting older and wanted to be trouble-free for the foreseeable future. This year, we had to replace both circuit boards on the dryer. Then after that, the drum would not turn and the motor just buzzed. So we had to replace the motor too. A little reading on the internet and it seems that many people have had the same problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor, circuit boards needing replacement is common as well. Now, the washing machine has started to make a loud, squeaking sound when it runs. My old washer/dryer combo was purchased in 1986 and was still working perfectly in 2007 when we bought the LG units. We paid a premium for a top of the line, but we sure didnt get a top of the line reliability.

We bought an LG appliance package from Best Buy for our new house in 2015. Two years after, the refrigerator quit cooling and cost $600 to fix. We had no refrigerator for 2 weeks while waiting for repairmen to come out and then to order a part and return to fix it. Repairman told us the part he fixed had failed on many refrigerators - evidently a problem with the part. Four years after purchase, the dishwasher developed a drain problem and had to be fixed twice. This was $400 to fix, plus we had to do without the dishwasher for a total of about a monthI spent at least 30 minutes on the phone to Customer Service and spoke to “Corey” in executive services. He was unsympathetic and not inclined to help me at all. He offered no relief or compensation. He actually told me the new electronic appliances are not made to last. Very frustrating and disappointing. There are only two of us in the house, we are senior citizens, on fixed incomes, and we don’t abuse our appliances. Very frustrating.

My 3 yr old LG fridge compressor stopped working. It is the linear compressor and when the technician came to repair the fridge he stated the compressor needs to be replaced with an updated model. This did not fix the fridge. The 2nd attempt was a different company that stated the first repair was wrong and replaced the compressor and lower evaporator. This still didnt fix the fridge. The first tech returned and stated the lower evaporator was installed incorrectly and attempted a repair with little confidence it would work. I have contacted LG and they refuse to replace or fix the fridge at this point because I cannot find the receipt. I contacted the location I purchased it and I am unable to get a copy of the receipt. At this point the $3800 fridge is just a large paperweight that will cost me to recycle. LG has horrible customer service and refuses to honor their warranty and back their service techs work. I would not recommend buying LG and will not make another LG purchase again.

I owned LGs LFX23965ST for about 18 months. For the last 6 months, the ice machine has not worked. It started diminishing in ice production and then just quit completely. I have tried resetting the default temps, unplugging for several minutes and replugging, changing the filter, and verifying the water supply line, but nothing helps. Water dispenses normally, but the ice maker is a complete flop. Then I read about how another customer was thrilled at LG sending a tech to his place to replace the motherboard that operates the ice maker (amongst other things Id imagine) because this problem is one that LG has known about for some time. Yet to me, they simply replied that there was nothing I could do and that I needed to schedule an appointment. So lets see. Should I continue using my 50 cent ice tray in the freezer or call in their $150/hr tech? Hmm. If this had happened to a car maker, theyd recall it and make good on repairs. LG? LMXS28626S.ASTCNA0/French Door. I bought it for the good looks, but there are a few annoying and serious design deficiencies in the refrigerator, as follows: 1. The ice maker storage is in the door, which causes the ice inside to clump together and stop making ice if the door is opened for a couple of minutes while cleaning the inside. The storage has to be cleaned out, and sometimes reset, in order to work again. 2. The water dispensing spout is far from the pressing mechanism, and water splashes outside the glass if it is small. I have never experienced this before in any of my previous refrigerators3. The French doors do not stay in place when opened - the left tends to shut, while the right tends to open all the way.

We have now had the fridge 11 months and the freezer ices up and the fridge part doesnt cool. The display on the door indicates Er dH , without the manual I have no idea what this means. We live in Panama a long way from towns. We called in a local tech to repair or diagnose. However he spoke no English whatsoever and we know very little Spanish. He defrosted the freezer with a hair dryer charged $45. The freezer continues to ice up and the fridge side gets warm with subsequent food spoilage. Contacting LG is a waste of time as they are not interested in servicing Panama. Ive found out from researching that the defrost timer is stuck or malfunctioning. I have no idea where this item is located or how to get at it without a servicing manual. The warranty is not worth the paper its printed on so Im prepared to do the work myself or pay to have it done. LG no thanks.

I have an LG LFX21960ST French door bottom freezer refrigerator that I paid a pretty penny for in July 2007. I had it a couple of months and had to replace the ice maker which was under warranty. However, it cost me $60 to find out it was broken and another $125 to have it installed. In December 2010, I had to replace the compressor - it was under warranty so it only cost me $70 to find this out and another $400 to have it installed. Well, now we are up to $655 so far. Fridge now making clicking sounds and there is occasional thawing in freezer. Repairman left yesterday, charged me $70 to tell me I need another compressor - now five months out of warranty and this will cost me $770 for part/installation. Now we are up to $1,495 for my cost of repairs. I called LG since this - counting the original - means this $2,300 fridge has had THREE compressors. I talked to LG about seeing if I could be afforded an extension on warranty since I wondered if this fridge could be a LEMON. They said no even though it was only five months past warranty. This has been a terrible inconvenience. Putting food in coolers outside, not to mention the almost $1500 it has cost me out of pocket for repairs. I always thought LG stood by their products and that is the reason I have their TVs, fridge and had their phone, but I might have to do some rethinking in the near future. Went on LG Facebook page and they told me to private message. Did so - no help. LG told me there are options for after warranty and did as they asked and again private messages them to no avail - and NOW LG HAS BLOCKED ME FROM THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE - some customer service!

I purchased my LG front loading washer and dryer on 5/17/08. I am 100% satisfied with it! There are two people that live in my house. I like a clean house so I am always washing/drying. I even wash/dry my king size comforter in it! No repairs ever done, just maintenance. Eventually I will have to replace (hopefully not for a long time!) and I will get another LG!

I purchased my LG refrigerator in June 2017 and 3 weeks ago the compressor failed. After a few hours of talking with LG they agreed to send out a repair person to assess the issue. A&E is the only authorized repair in my area that can work on a sealed compressor so an appointment was set for 2 days after my initial call. The repair person let me know that this is a known issue with the LG refrigerators and that even with replacement I might only get another year out of this fridge. LG finally agreed to a one time compressor replacement and A&E ordered the parts. The parts never arrived and instead of re-ordering what was the initial order, A&E insisted that they would have to come back out to my home before they could re-order the parts. They appoint was another 2 days out. When they arrived, they confirmed the parts that needed to be ordered, rescheduled an appointment for August 28 and again ordered, 2019 the parts which arrived 5 days later. The new Super Compressor according the A&E was installed on August 28, 2019 and we were told to wait 24 hours for the appropriate cooling. Since this install my freezer still has not gotten cold, the fridge now will fluctuate from 20 degrees to 56 degrees and now the panel is showing an error code. I am now waiting for A&E to come on Sept 3, 2019 to look at the fridge again. Both LG and A&E only have call centers with trained staff to restate that they are sorry for the inconvenience and nothing more. I am on the verge of 4 weeks without a refrigerator with no end in sight. I based my purchase on the Consumer Reports magazine and website that touted the LG fridge performance and reliability. As a consumer I feel that I have been duped and am potentially looking at investing more money for a refrigerator that works. I would never buy an LG product again after this experience knowing that this was a known issue and LG kept selling their product with the same faulty compressor.

We replaced older but well-functioning washer and dryer with the upright LG. We were told by the salespersons that this was the best although expensive system. The research we read also led us to believe we were making a great investment. Wrong! The smell and mold that builds up is unbearable. Our room downstairs smells moldy ever since we began using our machine. The washer shakes horribly. We also had an LG serviceman come twice. We paid for his time, travel and service to adjust the legs of the machine. It still shakes and now leaks. Of course, this all started happening once the year warranty expired. When I contacted the LG company directly about the problems, I was directed to use the LG service repair. Beyond disappointed and frustrated. We are worried about the negative impact we may experience with our health with the constant mold that continues to plague the machine. After reading all the logs, something needs to be done about this problem! LG WM2233HW.

Our less than a year old LG Refrigerator LG LFX25974ST we bought from Best Buy (along with an LG double oven and LG dishwasher...) was a beauty when we looked at it in the store. It fit well with our theme, loved the stainless steel, specs, etc. Less than a year now, we opened the freezer to find all of our frozen food warm/melted and fridge warm. Some food spoiled, some we saved by running to the local gas station for ice.Called LG Appliance support, they said there was nothing they could do but send a technician. This happened on a Friday morning that we discovered the problem. Earliest a technician could come out is on Monday. Ugh, but okay, (by the way, ice isnt cheap) well live until Monday out of coolers, though completely not ideal and we had to go out of town Saturday, so we hoped to God the food would stay cool over the weekend if we packed it good enough. It survived, mostly. A lot of things we just threw out because we couldnt tell how long it had been warm for and didnt want to get sick.So Monday arrives, and the local company they sent out does not have the capability to fix/replace the Linear Compressor that is shot. (Our 1 yr warranty expires in 30 days, but luckily the compressor has a 10 yr warranty, some relief.) Our fear now is what if something else goes wrong on the fridge or the other two appliances we spent over $4k on at Best Buy! Thats a lot of money! We would have been better off buying a $500 refrigerator with a classic design and compressor that would last 20 years without issues. They sure saw us coming. So now, LG Appliances calls me back to say what the local tech already said-- they couldnt fix it so they need to find someone else that may or may not be able to do the work. The earliest is Thursday -- that will be 7 days without a refrigerator I paid an awful lot of money for and food wasted. They of course dont pay for any lost food, youre on your own there, but thats easily another $150-$200 worth.Though I bought the set from Best Buy - I dont blame them because its not their warranty, its LG Appliances -- who never offered an apology - not once - on any of the calls to them. I was cordial with them, thinking they would show a little more empathy for their customer -- they were not sincere or showed any signs they cared about their customer. I am so disappointed in this purchase it isnt even funny and I will never buy ANYthing LG again -- not appliances, not electronics, NADA! They should be ashamed of themselves for selling expensive JUNK.

I purchased a front loading LG washer dryer combo with pedestals (Model WM3670HWA) at Lowes with extended coverage in late 2016. Multiple issues. Mainly UE ERROR CODE most all the time. Its not overfilled or a small load. Continued get worse. There is NO SPIN ONLY OPTION so the washer will wash forever, hours trying to spin out. At times I will have to set it through 5 or 6 other cycles till maybe finally spin out. This is insane. Clothes seem dingy, washer dispenser not completely emptying. Some water from leak at one corner at times. You can wash one load for hours. Using water and electricity. Service coming again. Not sure if its barrings or computer board on the UE error, other issues unknown. Dont waste your money on LG. Had hard time with service. Any finding anyone knows anything.

I have a 31 cu ft. French Door LG refrigerator that I spent a lot of money on over 4 years ago and the compressor suddenly went out. Luckily I have a warranty for 10 years for major components, but lo and behold it does not cover labor. The 45 minutes of labor was $600. I am shocked for several reasons: I cant believe an expensive appliance less than 5 years old would have a compressor which needs replacement, its unbelievable to have to pay $600 in labor for 45 minutes of work although I have a warranty. I also own an LG Steam Washer/Front Loader and matching dryer. The washer also needed repairs (which I had to pay parts and labor for) after a couple of years of ownership. These are definitely the LAST LG appliances, electronics, etc I purchase. In the future, I hope to find a company who cares about their customers and stands by their products.

I bought an LG washer/Dryer July this year (2015). The water pump sprang a leak. Went online and submitted for repair. Got a local appliance place to fix it. Talked to rep from local shop, said they couldnt get LG parts to answer or return call for 2 days. At this point I havent had a washing machine for 6 days. I called LG rep to contact local rep and get this taken care of. If LG does get it shipped by tomorrow, Friday fall on a holiday. Local dealer wont get the part until next Monday the 4th of Jan. 2016. This will be going on 2 weeks without a washer. This is unreasonable to me. I went with an LG product because of the Quality and support that I havent received as of yet. I would hope that a senior representative would read this. Unsatisfied Customer!

On September 24, 2007 I purchased an LG refrigerator (model # LRSC26923TT), dishwasher and microwave at Gabowitz Appliances, East Brunswick, New Jersey. At that time I purchased an extended warranty for the refrigerator. The refrigerator needed to have the icemaker replaced within the year. The repairman told me it was a defective part and since then, it has had to be replaced four times for the same reason. The icemaker melts and becomes deformed. LG keeps replacing the defective part with another defective part as they have not fixed the defect. My extended warranty expires in September, 2012 and from hereon in, I will have to pay approximately $350.00--the price the repairman said it will cost--when it again needs a repair since it was again replaced with a part that is the same as the defective part (as per the repairman). When I wrote to LG they just answered that it is out of the manufacturer’s warranty and they have no obligations.

They moved my delivery date (understandable) and any consumer can understand these types of issues. But now I just got an automated message telling me that they are now moving it again. When you finally get through to an operator, they tell you all sorts of different answers (depending on the operator): (1) They are having computer problems and cannot communicate with their headquarters?!; (2) they had a system and computer failure; and (3) bad weather. I am without a washer/dryer because I moved into a new house and cannot get the family clothes washed. They also cannot confirm the next delivery date and if they cant deliver, theyll simply call again. Are you kidding me?! We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator in August of 2015, Model LFXS30726S, and it is a horrible design. It fails completely every 16 weeks. The fridge seems really nice, but 4 months later, it failed on Christmas Day. Frost builds up around the fan and doesnt properly defrost, causing it to fail. LG serviced the unit for the first 2 Failures, and now it has failed again. 3 times in 14 months. Lucky for LG, their warranty is for 1 year, and now they will not service or repair the defective unit. This design was flawed from day 1! It just takes 4 months for the fan to wear out. And each time we have to borrow a spare fridge, move all of our food, and wait for service. They even had a service bulletin regarding this issue, and so they replaced the back inside panel which was supposed to fix the problem. Guess what... it did not help at all. DO NOT BUY LG Refrigerators! THEY EITHER DONT KNOW HOW TO DESIGN PROPERLY, OR THEY DONT TEST THEM. I am filing a complaint with the Dept of Trade and Consumer Protection, under the grounds that the fridge did not live up to its intended purpose: Keeping food cold.

Please be a prudent shopper when buying this unit. We purchased this refrigerator (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) two years ago and paid about $1000 extra for a counter depth unit. That brought the price just close to $3700.00. I did not get the warranty because I thought it would last at least five years. Nope. The Error Code E-IF comes on at least once a month. The refrigerator went in bad order about six months after we bought it. Luckily the year warranty was still good. Just about every month now, I have to use a hair dryer and defrost the unit so my family can get ice and water through the door. That is not good for a unit of this price. At first, I would pull the unit out and unplugging it for at least four hours. That is not good when the thing weighs a ton and it has to sit in the middle of the kitchen. I have now found a YouTube video of another customer that uses a ladys hair dryer to defrost the unit. I have began using a hair dryer to defrost the unit as well. It is much faster. Searching the internet, I have found other people who reported this is not a great unit to buy and they too have had many problems. LG should issue a recall or reach out to the many customers who have complained about this unit. I think that will go a long way to making the consumer happy. Again, it is the ice maker that is horrible.UPDATE on 04/08/2017: I had a service person come out and they told me my electronics board and the fan at the bottom of the unit needed replacing. Mind you, we have had this unit (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) less than five years. The technician said company recommended a new board and a new ice fan. The board only cost .74 cents. That is right.. Only 74 cents. I find that strange. Seems to me that board was bad. The Ice Fan was a tad more costly. Anyway the job came up to over $300 to repair. Issue one. I had to wait for the electronics board and the fan to arrive. The next service date that I could get was six days from the initial visit. So, I had no ice and water through the door. We survived. We knew that the unit would be fixed in a couple days. Six days later (yesterday) the technician comes out and installs the parts. Refrigerator worked well for ONE day. Just looked at it and a different Error Code is on R-DH. Are you kidding me? This thing cost too much to have all these problems. The fix for this is to unplug the unit and then allow it to reset. So, I have to pull it out from the wall again. How many times, I can could. Maybe I should keep track. I will do this. If it does not work, LG website suggests a service call. Wow.

I was so excited to finally get a new refrigerator and just loved it. Unfortunately within months (it is less than a year old) I began to get rust lines on the front of my new french door refrigerator (LG LFC247700ST). It is on 4 of the corner areas of the door where there was no protective film placed on it for shipping. LG web support had no answer except that I could use a stainless steel cleaner on it, which I had been using. We purchased new appliances from ABC Warehouse back in December of 2019. We chose LG due to the price and the aesthetics. The last week of January we received all appliances except the hood vent and dryer. At this time, ABC said LG rep was not getting back to them and they had no time table on when the other two appliances would be delivered. They have sent people out 3 or 4 different times to fix it and it still does it. Am very frustrated. Worst $3000 purchase I have ever made.

We purchased the top of the line LG refrigerator in 2015. It broke down with a HUGE $1250 compressor issue in June of 2020. There is a lawsuit on them for SHOTTY compressors. Our refrigerators model was in the lawsuit. LG **ed us for 6 months, telling us they would send out a technician to fix it. THEY NEVER DID. And then had the audacity to tell us they’d only give $800 in a depreciated value. THAT DOESNT FIX SAID REFRIGERATOR OR GET US A SAME MODEL DIFFERENT ONE. Even a 2015 would STILL be $1600. This company jips its clients and LIES to their faces in order to avoid this lawsuit. They are a terrible company and don’t deserve to exist. We will NEVER buy another LG product. PERIOD.

After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Updated on 09/18/2019: Update to my prior post of July 2019. It is now September 18, 2019 and my refrigerator is still not fixed. The most recent cooling issue started in June 2019 and it is still not fixed by LG. I call every week and every week Im told that they are sending my issue to the Escalation Dept who will call me in 2-3 business days. No one ever calls back. Finally someone acted like they were going to replace it. After I uploaded receipt provided by Lowes. The new person who answered the phone said no replacement until a service person says it cannot be repaired. So, I said I dont care whether you replace it or fix it, I just need it to work because it is now 50+ degrees inside the refrigerator. Of course, this new person is referring my case to the Escalation Dept and Ill be calling again next week to try to get my refrigerator fixed. I doubt it will ever be fixed but Ill call every week until someone shows up to try to fix it... DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!!Original Review: NEVER BUY ANY LG APPLIANCE! The LG refrigerator I bought (which cost over $3,000.00) had an error message about cooling by the fan within 24 hours of the refrigerator being delivered. It took about 6 months and at least 4 visits from a repairman (after many, many phone calls to try to get a repairmen sent) before the issue was fixed. Then, 4 months later, I have the same error message with the same fan issue. It has now been over a month since the issue started again and it is still not fixed. I could write 10 pages about the horrible customer service at LG and the slow and horrible service companies they LG has assigned to fix the issue. I will certainly never buy another LG appliance and I recommend that no one else ever buy an LG appliance. Any manufacturer has got to have a better product and a better customer service function and better service companies that they engage to act on their behalf.

Read a review by Kathleen from Pa on her bad experience with a leaking dishwasher. We had the same experience. Repair staff made 2-3 trips to our home, replacing several items inside the door. The 3rd repairman finally determined that the dishwasher was not properly leveled. After he leveled the dishwasher, we no longer had the leak problem. Hope this helps some of the frustrated LG dishwasher owners with the same problem.

We have had numerous dishwashers over the years but this LG Dishwasher Model LDF7551ST is the WORST dishwasher we have ever had. Both trays collapse when dishes are loaded, the drain line is insufficient so it periodically doesnt drain. This Thanksgiving dinner at 10:30 p.m. we had to empty the entire thing and wash dishes by hand because the dishwasher wouldnt drain. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CONSIDER THIS DISHWASHER - warranty is dreadful - ours said we had a lemon warranty but despite calling a service man NUMEROUS times our lemon is still being squeezed! Dont know if the warranty issue is with Sears or LG.

We bought a side by side with freezer on bottom and chilled water and ice dispenser on door. It cost $2,500 new. Today, less than 3 years old, it has stopped cooling, freezing and making ice cubes! In my opinion, this is not good reliability. I do not believe that I would purchase LG again. Also, I have an extended 5 year service contract with them. So I called them for service repair on Friday, and they said they could be at my house in 4 days (on Tuesday). This also made me negative about LG, they should have service much more quickly than this!!! My opinion, consider other options before buying LG. Jack

I called Home Depot they said they could recommend a repair service company but it would be at my expense for this known issue. I have told both Home Depot and LG I will never buy another product from either company again. My recommendation to you is do not give your money to these companies. Do NOT buy an LG dryer (DLG4971). I hardly had the dryer a month until it stopped heating. I was not going to be at the house where the dryer is for another 5 months so LG extended the warranty until I could get back to fix it. The igniter, valve and thermostats were replaced in May and in December the dryer doesnt heat AGAIN. Of course the dryer is out of warranty now and Lowes tells me the parts are under warranty for only 30 days. So my 1.5 yr old dryer is broke again. I dont like the LG washer either. Will never invest in an LG product of any kind! Bought one of LG’s high-end dishwashers (model LDP6797BD) less than 2 years ago for its quiet running, nice bells and whistles (including WiFi access), and 5 year warranty for electronics. A few days ago the LED display started going on/off, dancing through all the readouts, beeping, and displaying what appeared to be an error code (“L2”) but wasn’t. We called for warranty repairs with a local authorized technician. He calls LG and they tell him its hardware (user interface board), not software (which clearly it was). Minimum repair cost, $285 (included the $85 service call).I call LG to explain why it’s the software and should be under warranty. LG’s Customer Service agrees it could be electronics and will dispatch their factory technician for $125 plus and a minimum labor charge of $65 (but up to $175) if its covered under warranty. Unlike the local technician’s $85 service fee, LG’s service fee of $125 is not applied towards repairs. I explained that I could buy a new dishwasher (NOT an LG) for what I would spend in repairs and my previous $300 dishwasher lasted 10 years…what’s wrong with their product(s)?

Knobs on stove disintegrate & become nonfunctional & break. This is my 3rd replacement of knobs, & I will need a 4th replacement soon. The first 2 were covered by extended warranty. The knobs when bumped, can easily, cause gas to escape. The can happen with the lightest bump, & is generally unnoticed, by individual, until the strong gas smell is evident! My communications over the years has been extremely frustrating, & unacceptable. I was told that knobs are ornamental by one employee. Another claimed it was my misuse because I left the oven door open. Once someone told me I would get replace the knobs free within a week. They never came! I finally bought new ones for about $275. The plastic overlay on what appears to be a metal knob is beginning to crackle. That means the cylinder that holds the knob on is soon to break. I bought the latest replacement knobs less than 6 months ago. It seems to me there is a sufficient case for a class action suit against LG.

I purchased a LG Premium Repair and Protect Service Plan on 6/14/17 ($385) because of a problem with my washer. A tech came out several days later and determined that the tub seal had failed and water had destroyed the bearing. He ordered a part, which took weeks to show up. He replaced the part but the machine wasnt right. He tried removing & replacing the part but that didnt help. He said he contacted LG support service for contract techs and they gave him several thing to try but none worked. The tech made a total of 5 visits before deciding to replace the bearing assembly and the tub. It has now been three months!, 90 days!!, 1/4 of a year!!!, and nothing. Ive called LG numerous times and get the run-a-round. They have to wait on a report from one department or another, they need to check on the parts order, they need to contact the service tech, they tell me the tech will be contacting me shortly, and on and on and... I do not want to put $500 - $1000 in repairs (even though it is still under warranty) just for it to happen again. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. We purchased our new refrigerator along with an LG stove and microwave when we moved into our new home in 2016. Part of our decision was based on the experience we already had with our LG washer and dryer. Here we are now fighting issues with a refrigerator that should easily last 10+ years. If we had known previously about the compressor issues we would not have purchased this brand. Where are the lemon laws for refrigerators?Issue started with water on the floor and at first we thought the in-door ice maker was failing (more on this later), then two days later we noticed that ice cream was soft in the freezer and then a day later no cooling at all (by the way - all of this in the middle of COVID-19 quarantine and trying to make sure we had enough groceries on hand). It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks to get service on site for repair. The technician replaced the compressor and stated that the refrigerator would now run louder. Well, it was so loud we couldnt hear our tv in the next room without turning up the volume to almost maximum level.I pulled the refrigerator out and found that one of the copper tubes from the compressor was vibrating and rubbing on the rear cover. Called for service again to fix the noise issue. When he checked the refrigerator, he stated that he could find nothing wrong; however, he did release some of the coolant because he thought the compressor may have been overcharged and overheating. This seems to have resolved the noise issue. The in-door ice maker - noticed that after the compressor failed we now have water dripping intermittently out of the left hand door (the door with the ice maker). I mentioned this to service tech during his return visit and he said it was probably because I was leaving the door open too long and there was not enough cold air for the ice maker compartment. Ive had the refrigerator for not quite 4 years and never had this issue before - I dont think Ive changed how I use my refrigerator. This issue has not been resolved. We question how long the new compressor will last (4 years?). How much more electricity is the refrigerator using now as compared to before - seems to run a lot more now.

Because I am not paying a service repairman $600 Labor plus another $400 for a part that seems like will quit again in 2 more years. I bought an LG 18 months ago when we moved to Dallas. Whatever I try adjusting the feet (no easy task, let me tell you), making sure the machine is stable by pushing the dryer up against it, wedging it against the sink, or adjusting and re-adjusting the load (because the machine stops and tells you to), it doesnt work. I had a Maytag for 13 years with not an ounce of bother, but this machine has been a headache. I usually have to wash the clothes twice because it doesnt spin well; not only due to the balance error message on the front panel, but also because it just doesnt spin fast or very hard the way the Maytag did. Sears have sent technicians out, time and again, but who wants to spend half the day waiting at home for a service call? Not me. Isnt that defeating the objective of a world that wants less time spent in the laundry room? Im going to suffer through the rest of its years and feeling annoyed at it. I will then replace it with my favorite: a Maytag. Sigh. Now, Im about to go reset it so that it will attempt a spin cycle with my quilt, but I know that bed cover will come out of the machine too wet for my liking, and Ill have to put it out in the sun for some time before I can even attempt to dry it.
