I thought I had done my research on what appeared to be a well-designed product. I have had my LG French Door Fridge 26 months, with no less than 14 repair issues, including the right-hand door gasket (four times), and the right-hand freezer door bracket (twice). We are a busy family with three teenage boys, but we keep a spotless kitchen and are not hard on our appliances. The fridge appeared well-designed and fit our tight kitchen, but it has been problematic from day one.The new models seem to address the issues I have had, but LG has passed the buck after year one to the extended warranty company. Warranty service through private contractors has been mainly poor. Response from Home Depot has been mediocre, until I asked for a truck to return the fridge, or said I would drop it in their parking lot myself. I looked at our old fridge to see what broke, and this one seemed to have been built much better, but what a mess. Buy from a private appliance dealer with a service team. This model was available at numerous locations, large and small. Any brand you buy will only be as good as those who back it.

I purchased 3 LG appliances, and for all 3 appliances I have had problems with them almost from the start. The Icemaker does not work and drawers falling apart. The Stove, every time I use the self clean option the stove top or the oven will not work and I have to call a repair man. The Microwave oven, the numbers 1 & 2 do not work. These products are now 5 years old. The refrigerator was purchased to replace a 15 year old GE side by side that I now use in my garage for extra refrigerator space that still makes ice and all drawers are still intact.

Resolved. Our LG refrigerator lights are now working correctly and shut off when the door is closed. When I first called LG about the problem, They only recommended repair facilities near me to call at my expense. They did not offer to fix the problem. When I talked to the service repairman to set up a visit, he recommended calling a different number to see if LG would take care of it since this was a common problem with many lawsuits about it before. Before I did that, here is what we did. After we figured out that the lights would not go out when the door was closed, creating the high heat inside. (55 degrees). We unplugged the fridge as one could not unscrew the light bulbs because they were extremely hot. When cool, we re-plugged in the fridge and verified that the lights would not go out when the door was closed. In just those few minutes, the bulbs were almost too hot to unscrew. We unscrewed them just enough so they would not come on. We were screwing them in and out for a couple of weeks in order to see inside, and unscrewing them before closing the door. This was a big pain in the neck. I checked several times before calling LG, that they stayed on after closing the door. With the light bulbs unscrewed, we also verified that the beep still went off when the door was left open for a while. With the light bulbs unscrewed, the fridge was now working great for the cold. Probably better than before. I put a thermostat inside to monitor the temperature and it stayed right where I had it set at on the door. I dont know why, but after a couple of weeks unscrewing and screwing the bulbs in and out, I finally decided to remove them and install new light bulbs to see if they would work. I installed the fluorescent ones, the ones with the curlicue tube, 60-watt daylight ones. They worked great, and they went out when the door was closed. WOW, what luck. The fridge has been working well now for about a week, with much better light than the original bulbs, and they go out when the door is closed. They do not get hot at all. For the other issues in the previous post, I can shut the ice maker off manually when the ice bucket is full, and we do not use the water on the door due to the high cost of the filter anyway. We can live with those issues. At least we will not have to buy a new fridge due to the light bulbs not shutting off when the door is closed. Model LRFD22850ST

Two consecutive LG Microwave ovens break down after one year in a light service environment. The 2nd was purchased to fit in the opening above the oven at my parents townhouse. A poor investment and a waste of time. I wonder how safe they are? Each microwave had an electrical failure. Thankfully there were no fires.

DO NOT, DO NOT ever buy an LG washing machine as ours is two years old and I have to spin dry one towel at the time while the rest of the wet towels are in the sink waiting. LG executive, Tyree, told me they would send a service person which they never did, however. Lowes, where we bought the machine has given us an appointment with an LG technician. This machine was $650 and has never worked correctly and this is LGs second service in a year. When the warranty runs out in 3 years, I will get rid of this piece of junk and buy a cheap washer and hope to keep it like I did my last one that lasted 25 years. LG does not need to be in the business of washing machine and whoever designed them needs to be fired and they need to give all of us a replacement. Ill never buy anything by LG as our new $750 TV would stop working from time to time and my son in law took off the back and tightened all the leads and it works fine, now. Now, why would you sell a tv with loose leads? LG is a worthless company!!!

One and done is my motto now when it comes to LG appliances/electronics. This was the first and only time I will ever purchase ANYTHING from this manufacturer. We purchased an LG kitchen suite consisting of a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. All are on the fritz. Over half of the buttons on the microwave do not work which almost makes it unusable; the 1, 2, 3, and more. The vent, power, light and even more. The largest burner on the stove is gone and the refrigerator makes an odd noise (not the icemaker). Weve had the appliances for only about 5 years so no more LG for me. Its just outside the warranty - how convenient for them.

Save yourself a lot of problems and do not buy this machine! I purchased a Top Loader LG washing machine from Best Buy and Im very upset that I did. Ive had nothing but problems with machine stopping because clothes are uneven. It has taken me hours to do one load. The service guy told me after four visit that nothing was wrong with the machine. I will have to put more clothes in the washer! It was a medium size load! Best Buy should have told me it will not do small/medium size loads and LG or any other company should not sell a machine that only does large loads without telling the consumer. Im now stuck with this machine. I absolutely hate, hate this machine!

I purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot and within 13 months, it blew out, no power. I called up LG and they told me that it was the motherboard. I fixed it myself twice, otherwise it would have cost me a few hundred dollars. Gas range looks great but the plastic chrome knobs are shriveling and are not smooth anymore, maybe from the heat from the oven. I think I only used the oven 10 times since I had it. LG is the worst. I wish I would have reviewed it better. My personal review is LG sucks. Never buy it again. I created an account just to write LG really sucks.

It was sold to me at a good price point for the features that it has. The store employee also recommended this refrigerator to me. It has met all of my expectations since purchasing it. Built in ice maker, sleek black color, water filter system, doors open outward, pretty big freezer. It keeps my food from spoiling. Would make the freezer larger, because I like to freeze a lot of food. Also have it come in even more color options. They could off a better service warranty and make the installation process even better.

I bought an LG large capacity washer and dryer 6 years ago. I paid over $1600 for the pair at Home Depot. There are only 3 in my family so I dont have a lot of laundry like some larger families do. Just recently, my washer had a smell like something was on fire and making a banging noise. I called the LG repair service and a rep came out to take a look. He told me that the bearings were wearing out on the tub and to fix it, they would have to change the whole tub for about $450. Seriously! They just dont make products like they used to. I will never buy an LG product again.

Purchased a $1500 5 burner range (gas) late Nov 2013. Was delivered and installed December 2013. Used the cook top, but not the oven until Christmas. Christmas day dinner was ruined due to oven not functioning properly. Took twice the time to cook as it should have, nothing browns, everything looks anemic. Called Home Depot and got LG certified tech information. First visit January 2014, next 2 visits included 2 new sensors and a control board. Still does not work properly. Multiple calls to LG, and was promised that after 3 visits and 3 parts replaced it was deemed a lemon and would be exchanged for new range. Never happened. 10 months and 8 tech visits later, and I still dont qualify for exchange/replacement. Executive services is useless. Adrienne (the supervisor of all supervisors) asked for receipt and invoice to be faxed for the resolution team. Faxed immediately after conversation and one week later was told I STILL dont qualify for exchange or refund. When I asked her what does qualify she said, as an LG customer you are on a need-to-know basis. She refused to tell me! I have not encountered ONE LG person who has been helpful or even nice. I will soon be replacing all 5 major LG appliances with Samsung. NEVER WILL I BUY LG AGAIN. Luckily Home Depot has facilitated this interaction and I am now getting my money back. Home Depot customer service is AMAZING.

A couple years ago, we had a problem with the knobs on a LG gas range installed in a rental unit. The labelling on the knobs wrinkled due to the heat from the oven, and there was another problem that I dont recall now. After contacting a local appliance store and getting a referral for replacement parts available at a substantial cost, we contacted LG directly. They were very helpful and sent a new set of replacement knobs free of charge. Since there were a number of similar complaints posted at that time, I wanted to post this as a possible solution to the problem, even though my posting is long after the problem was solved.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator and an LG over the stove microwave a few years ago. I think 6 years ago. I had been very pleased until a year ago when the ice maker quit working and then shortly after the door handle on the microwave broke. Both parts can be purchased to repair, but seriously? They were not inexpensive appliances, yet they were not made to last longer than 5 years without having to buy replacement parts? Im sick and tired of stuff that doesnt last anymore. My mother used the same toaster for 50 years!!! Wheres the integrity and pride in a job well done? No, I wont purchase LG again.

We bought an LG refrigerator in October of 2015 when we moved into our house and had no issues with it for the first 4 years and now it has been nothing but problems! The refrigerator continues to go through periods of not keeping foods cold in the freezer. The issue has now moved into the refrigerator as we awoke this morning to our ice machine which had melted all over our hardwood floor. I have called technicians in the past and they have been unable to help and now when I call no one is willing to service the refrigerator as it is becoming a common occurrence and unable to fix! I would not recommend LG unless they find a way to fix this.

At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a carefu
At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a careful, truthful evaluation of my fancy still-under-warranty LG washer WM3875HVCA, which has had about seven or eight service visits. Both computer panels have been changed out; the water valve has been replaced; the door latch has been replaced; and still, the thing locks when I try to open the door post-cycle. Also, water continues to leak into the drawer serviced by the water valves, and the supposed anti-wrinkle option, which an LG representative told me directly on the phone is supposed to be constant for the eight hours as indicated, appears to do nothing. It is never on, whenever I check on it after a cycle.I had written a grammatically correct, no swear words, truthful review, and picked only two starts out of five. Would anyone like to guess how LG responded? They denied allowing my review to be published on their site, supposedly claiming it did not meet their guidelines. Um, would those guidelines include singing only praises of their products (i.e.. if you give a negative review, they dont want to hear it, publish it, or know of it)?I am completely disgusted with this situation. LGs email denying my reviews acceptance told me to submit another review as if anything similarly negative would receive their approval for site-publication.As long as I dont rave about this washer, I suspect they are never going to allow anyone to see what my experience has been because then, prospective buyers would take a pause before considering a similar purchase. Indeed, the only reviews, which I read, on LGs site are all glowing about my washer. Ha.

The LG dishwasher model number LDP6797ST is the worst dishwasher I have ever had! It does not get anything clean. Ive had to buy $10 booster powder and it still doesnt get the dishes clean. Now, I cant get it set for anything. It stops mid cycle & Dings at me for no reason. It will run back 6 minutes and then it stops and starts dinging again. I cant figure out why its dinging and what it wants. The manual is entirely too technical for me to understand or to mess with. Ive been washing dishes in the sink by hand! This dishwasher was in this house when I bought it and Ill make sure I never do that again. First chance I get its out. I would give it a zero stars if that were an option. I hate this dishwasher.

Never again will I purchase a LG product. I purchased this washing machine August 2016. From day one I had a feeling my clothes were not coming clean. My husband works outside and sometimes have mud on his clothes. I pulled the clothes out the machine and was able to scrape the mud off with my fingernails. I have never experienced anything like this in my life with my old machines. My towels still have normal makeup stains on them. Im very disappointed. Love my LG washer and dryer. The steam function on both has been a great way of taking care of wrinkles and freshness. The quick wash function is exactly that - super quick. I am pleased with how well it cleans all types of fabrics. My only criticism would be the sensor function on the dryer. It is the same complaint I have regarding all sensor type dryers though - they really don’t do a great job and you often come down to find the dryer off and the clothing still damp. The time dry function and personalized functions are very good though.

I have purchased LG front load inverter direct drive 7.5 kg 6 motion washing machine. Although it was quite expensive for me but sales man succeeded to give me belief that it is the best model. After finishing warranty period that is 2 years and after exactly 2 years and 8-9 months machine is giving error. We had register complaint then 4 to 5 times their different technicians came telling various problem. And at last they found but spare parts are so costly so I will not suggest this w.m. for ordinary people who cant afford this regular maintenance of around 2000. If small part is also damage you have to take whole unit e.g. PCB harness for one part of filter PCB. It is really not affordable. Company should provide those small parts instead of insisting customer to buy whole units.

I purchased a WT5070CW a year ago. This has to be the worst washing machine I have EVER owned. Every load gets off balance. When it gets unbalanced the machine stops. When you adjust the clothes and restart it will get off balance again. It has taken me a full day to wash one load of clothes. Today it took three hours to do one load. If you have a small load (a couple of towels) it takes six or seven tries to get the load done. I dont think it is possible to keep this machine balanced. Our LG bottom freezers ice machine works sporadically. It was not cooling properly, so we called our extended warranty representative. A technician was sent. He said he couldnt fix it, left and we heard nothing from him or the company. We called the warranty company again and they apologized, sent another companys technician, said he found what was wrong but had to order parts. This means we had up to a week to receive the part. In the meantime, we had to throw away all the food in the fridge and freezer. We were partially reimbursed for food loss (around $300.00 for food). It hardly covers the food replacement plus the times we had to eat out as a family because we had no place for perishable items. The parts finally arrived (motherboard and defroster). There was an error made in the part ordered and we were told that they would have to order the correct one (it was part of the defroster system). I was told that in the meantime, we should turn the unit off at night and turn it back on in the morning until the part arrived. YOURE KIDDING ME! I said. He was very serious. This technician was abrasive and spent more time defending himself, and had little empathy for our circumstance. It was especially frustrating for me because I had to stay behind to wait for the technician while my family left for a 2-day family trip. The part arrived and it was installed. Within a week, the fridge would not cool again and the ice maker stopped working. We had to schedule another technician to come look at it. It took several days. The food went bad and we had to get rid of everything once more (and more eating out!). The next technician, different company, looked at it and said the compressor was broken and that we had a freon leak. Said he couldnt do much because an LG technician had to look at it to verify, plus he did not have the parts and may have to be ordered. This means that the LG technician may show up, check to see what is wrong and THEN order more parts. Im looking at another two weeks before anything happens. All this has happened over the last month and a half (since early May). The fridge is only 1.5 years old. Weve been talking to the service company all this time and they keep saying they are sorry, but they have to go through their procedures. They cant seem to realize how uncomfortable it is as a family to go without a refrigerator. I called LG and they asked me to have the warranty company call them so they can find a resolution. Im so sure. How am I supposed to get them to call? I have not called the store where I bought it from - Hope Depot. Maybe I should and start looking at a small claims court. Ive never done it though. All I can say is that the product is inferior and customer service has been unsympathetic and incapable of fixing our refrigerator. Theyve probably spent more money sending us technicians and probably should have replaced from the start. Needless to say, we are very unhappy at this point.

Each time I called for service IT WAS 2 WEEKS before it was put in, even though it was not right. The last time it was 3 weeks but problem solved. I had to purchase another refrigerator, NOT A LG. I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

I had to get this microwave because it was the only silver microwave of its size for my mini kitchen. I read reviews before I purchased that said it was an average microwave. That is exactly what it is. Its very loud and has very basic features but it matches my kitchen and looks good.

I like that its a side by side with one side entirely a freezer. I like that it has an ice maker on it. It is black and has several bins & door compartments. I wish it had been cheaper and I wish the ice maker produced more ice and didnt stop working off and on. Its hard to crouch down to the very bottom of the freezer to find things. This was chosen for the color and for the financing options on price and also on the size it would fit in the necessary space we had for it to go. I would have bought a different brand when all was said and done.

I purchased the LG 6.3 cu ft self clean oven in black stainless. 12 months in (even though I baby it and am very careful) the paint is chipping off. Now 1 month later the fan motor growls every time I use the oven. I called LG and asked if they would cover the repair simply because it is so very recently out of warranty. No. No chance. $125 to have a technician assess it and then whatever the parts and labor are to repair it. If the product is only designed to last 13 months perhaps it should be cheaper than $1100. I have used it approximately 300 times for about an hour max each time. So 300 hours of use should be all you should expect.

This is a PSA regarding LG dishwasher LDP6797BD. First do not buy any LG products. I purchased this dishwasher in Oct./17 and it has been broken down twice. The repair tech arrived to fix it and the parts shipped were damaged so therefore he could not fix it. So called customer service. Rep Ali started talking the moment I asked that the unit be replaced explaining that the repairs had to be completed. He was finished with his work and explained that to her, she then told him he had to talk to technical department in order to recommend replacement. Our repairman assured me that LG doesnt replace any defective appliances that they will replace every part instead. I will be replacing this piece of junk and will tell everyone on every site I can NOT TO BUY THIS POS from LG Electronics.

I bought an LG French door ref. in May 2014, now is rusting on the doors. I contacted LG and they say it is not covered under warranty. They say it is cosmetic. I paid apx. $2,000.00 for it. It is the stainless steel doors that are rusting and I believe that is not cosmetic as it is the door not the look of it. They have been anything but helpful and I will never again buy, not recommend them to anyone. I have cancelled my other order for a dishwasher. I have other stainless appliances by other companies and they are older and just fine.

Ive had 5 authorized service calls to repair/replace my ice maker. It is still not fixed. I missed 5 days of work and lost 2 freezers full of food. I paid for the first 4 calls. LG now is paying for this 5th call. Today, the tech today simply wants to replace it again. Of course he didnt have any parts on hand even though LG assured me he would so I wouldnt have to wait for parts and miss more work for the tech to come back. The ice maker design is defective. There are many complaints online and there have been lawsuits about their refrigerators. LG refuses to refund the purchase price of the fridge or replace it. Their support team doesnt have authority to rectify the situation and the supervisors keep stalling.

I would give LG service negative stars, if I can. I purchased a dishwasher in April (model number: LDS4821ST), and the unit has worked pretty well. Recently and suddenly, the paint on one of the control buttons started to come off. I called LG and sent them pictures. I was told that it was a cosmetic problem, and they would not repair. I understand if this was a year or two from now, but four months after purchase and the paint is coming off? It is an obvious quality problem.I purchased a washer and a drier from LG about five years ago, and feel they were of much better quality than their current products. I bought a fridge as well in April, and that has problems already, as well. LG was totally dismissive; what is worse is that they refused to send me their response in writing! Im still paying for the appliance that already looks crappy!

This stove has so many different and extra things it can do that it is a great product. It being a flat top, it is easy to clean and keep clean. The burners have very fast heating elements that heat very quickly and there is even a warming burner. They cool off relatively quick also. The oven has several different functions as far as not being just a regular oven, has auto conversion and proof and several other settings besides just bake. The light turns off when you open or close the door which is great because it is never left on by accident. The oven is so very easy to keep clean, the dripped food cleans off extremely easy.

We cleared the fridge out and the coils were fine (not frozen). We tried everything. Then realizing it wasnt something we could fix at this point we called LG. LG then proceeded to tell us that someone would contact us in 24-48 hrs about our fridge to schedule a repair... well no call. So we called again, they said someone would fix to in 15 or so days. 15 days without a fridge?! Was told they would call us back in a couple hours so they can look into it. AGAIN, no call back! Imagine that! We are beyond frustrated! Upon researching the company, they are known their fridges having issues!

To my utter disappointment, only after 3 days of its compressor being replaced, the same again, stopped working. Immediately I requested the repairing manager to provide a staff for its original repacking after which the same was delivered to authorized service center, viz. Now, online complaints are also being directed to Branch Manager, Varanasi. On contacting her on mobile she had assured to revert yesterday but on several calls today, it was revealed that still they are checking their records. Technician returned, could not fix but broke full panel of glass in the fridge. So now drawer does not close properly and there is no shelf. Apparently parts were ordered. Called LG to discuss replacing unit, got escalated to an idiot name Garret who was useless and would not give his managers name. Apparently his name is Kuzi. He does not have a last name or a phone number - its all confidential - not really sure what LG is paying him for if he is the escalation they have for customers. Worst I have ever dealt with. I bought an LG refrigerator 5yrs ago. I have had problems with the freezer area freezing up and causing problems then I started having other problems, the compressor went bad and it was under warranty for 10 yrs. I called LG and they wanted to just push me off and give me a bunch of BS. They gave me a number of one of their certified companies to come work on it, so I do just that. The company comes out and I had to pay for the service call, then they told me that I had to pay for the part, which is 800.00 and then I had to get LG to refund me. Then I called LG and they said, No, that the company had to get it. The company that LG sent out to my house refused to buy the piece, stating that LG does not want to refund them the product. I should not have to deal with this. I finally got that issue taken care of and not something else is wrong with the refrigerator. I am done, getting rid of it, and I will NEVER have another LG product. EVER.

LG French Door Refrigerator/Freezer- This is the absolute worst appliance Ive ever owned, and Ive owned a bunch. 1st year of ownership computer board failed. Over next 8 years 3 fans went bad - out of warranty of course. Plastic door edge strips both had to be replaced - 5-7 yrs as the doors wouldnt close completely. Ice-maker was a real piece of junk - always jammed up and never produced a decent quantity of ice. Finally compressor went completely at year 12. Average life of unit is rated at 13 years - almost made it! Also learned that few techs will work on LG or Samsung because these units are not designed to produce error codes for diagnosis of problems. Also keep in mind, LG was formerly Goldstar, a very poor quality South Korean electronics company that was rebranded to LG because of their terrible quality and reputation. Run away quickly - you have been warned.

Model # LFX28978ST - 27.6 cu ft capacity French Door Refrigerator Freezer began with extra loud vibration while running which should have been a sign that something was ready to break. About a month later, the ice maker quit working on Wednesday so we called a local appliance repair shop to come out the following Wednesday to take a look. Over the weekend, the freezer started to warm up, as did the refrigerator. We noticed the meat felt squishy in the freezer. We ended up throwing away the majority of a fully stocked freezer full of meat and frozen dinners. By Sunday night the refrigerator was too warm to keep food, so we transferred all salvageable items to coolers. The repairman told us that he thought the Fresh Food Compressor had broken. We called LG customer non-service to learn that the part needed to be ordered and they could get it in 6 days but she emphasized ETA meaning NO PROMISES! (this is what she told me). The part was not covered, the labor was not covered, we were living out of coolers and spending $25.00 per day on dry ice and ice to keep things cool. No Way! So we decided to scrap the LG refrigerator after only 5 years, cut our losses and buy a new Sears Kenmore (made by Whirlpool). NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I buy an LG Refrigerator or one made by LG (as some Kenmore Elite models). We have also invested in the extended service plan with fingers crossed that the annual check up included with the plan will give us the advanced notice needed to fix a part before it dies. Lifes pretty crappy when your practically new refrigerator dies! LG needs to find subcontractors to supply more reliable parts when they manufacture these units. Really!

I bought my LG Electric range just over a year ago. We knew the front knobs were very sensitive but didnt realize how bad until it my husband was cleaning the kitchen, set the Ninja on the stovetop while cleaning the island. Seems he leaned against the knobs and 2 turned on. He went out to empty the trash and by the time he got back in, we had fire. Both Ninja and Range were burned beyond repair. Our new backsplash will have to be repaired. Well need to repaint some. But no one was hurt. No pets hurt. I immediately, naively wrote to the President of LG. Nothing. Tried again a couple days later. I did receive a phone call from a Sheena Turner in Alabama with the title of President Liaison/Voice of Customer. She said she could send someone out but needed the serial #. Theres NO SERIAL NUMBER on the range. Isnt that convenient? Both my husband and I have gone over the range several times. Ive taken pictures and sent to her to prove theres no serial number. Thats when she stopped communicating. So, oh well. She cant help. So like the rest of their customers with this problem, Im just screwed and they dont care. Then I visited Consumer Affairs to see if we were the only ones with this problem. Apparently allot of us have the same problem. So I sat down, copied and pasted to Word every review that pertained to the knobs, back 4 years, 52 bad/frustrated reviews. Ive printed out and will write a letter to Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and The Consumer Product Safety Commission with copies of the 16 pages of reviews I have. This will be sent USPS certified mail to each with return receipt to make sure each received.I want to be sure each of the retail stores know they are selling dangerous products and the CPSC surely needs to take a look at this. Maybe nothing will come of it, but these stores need to be put on notice and when something bad does finally happen and sadly it will. contact me. Ill have proof they were notified. For me, Im tossing the range. I wont have it in my house and its damaged anyway. My last email to Ms. Sheena (she hasnt returned an email since I told her I cant find a serial number on my range). How are you going to feel when someone dies in a fire caused by an LG range. You work for this company. Are you going to be able to look yourself in the mirror? No response. Here are pictures of my Ninja and Range after the fire.

Do not buy and do not waste your money or time on this product. Look elsewhere for a quality product. I have purchased many items from Home Depot. Ive already posted my complaint on this site, but I forgot to mention that I had to pay to have the door hinge replaced because it had corroded due to bleach spilling onto it, the only bleach I use is when I am using the Tub Clean cycle to attempt to remove the stink and slime. I have never spilled the bleach so the dispenser must leak. I believe the cause of the leaking might be due to the LG repairman puncturing the bleach compartment because I was having problems with bleach remaining in the chamber after the wash cycle and then bleaching clothing in the next wash load (dark clothing). Biggest mistake I have ever made in appliance purchase.

Needless to say, a little over a month of moving in and our HE dryer now does not turn on. I looked the simple troubleshooting in the manuals and it did not work. I then turned to the worst customer service I have ever experienced.I called LG Canada. I got to this lady who then proceeded to ask me what was wrong. I informed her and she asked me if I have unplugged it. I told her yes I have and plugged it back in. She asked me Well, Maam, how long did you unplug it? and I replied (knowing most computers take 10 sec to reload) 10 seconds. She replied, Oh no Maam, you must unplug for 30 min at least. Well how the heck was I supposed to know? After you do that, then plug it back in to reset and if it still has trouble turning on, which I highly doubt it will, you must contact sellers warranty. Well needless to say, it still doesnt turn on. Thanks for your useless and crappy service LG!

I purchased our LG smart washer dryer combo from Home Depot 14 months ago. For the first year it worked like a charm. Once it was paid off, the nightmare began. I have called the horrible customer service in the Philippines only to hear a repeated script. I have had my home warranty company come out twice. The only way for me to wash our clothes is to confuse our washer into thinking that the load is large. I put in 2 buckets of water on top of towels. I have ruined so many of my clothes in the twisted rope like fashion that I could cry. It takes me 1.5 hours to wash 2 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. The dryer is also Lousy Garbage. It over dries and shrinks our clothes, those that make it out alive from the washer never dry at all and are very wrinkled. And then there is the smell... The technicians say this is how they are suppose to work. There is no energy saving in taking all day to do a household of threes laundry. There is nothing smart about these machines... We have had an F3 error code issue for months, it threw the error for the first time 2 years to the month from date of manufacture. We have had the range for 26 months and the error for the last six months of that. After numerous calls with LG they would tell us to unplug the unit and at first that would clear the error only for it to return a few days to a week later, then when those calls resulted in the error never clearing they suggested that we have a tech out to fix it at our own expense since it was beyond warranty. After numerous visits from a LG referred appliance repair company, having LG first suggest we spend $200 on a part to replace the buttons, then when that didnt work asked to spend another $160 on the actual control panel part for the electronic system LG shipped a part for this stove which does not fit in the actual model we have. They apparently have discontinued the original part that is needed, at this point there is no part that fits our range which was manufactured 2 years ago in March 2018, we received the stove in June 2018 and have had issues with the F3 error button in a continuous shortage stage since about March 2020.This was not a cheap gas range. It cost ~$2,000 and to have spent $360 on parts + another $200 on labor at this point we are so frustrated. that is $560 that we could have put towards a stove that would not be a continuous pain the the side to have repaired, for an issue that should not be coming up so close to the manufacture date on an appliance of this cost only to find that they dont make the part we need any longer. I would not recommend purchasing a LG range to anyone I know.

Our LG dishwasher has a odor coming from the inside after a wash cycle after the dishes are removed and it is empty for several hours. Have tried pouring water in the bottom and pumping it out operating the pump by pressing the on button, normal then normal and power scrub together to pump water out of bottom. Tried wiping it down after a cycle, no help, poor design, wish I had never purchased this unit. My friend has the same unit with the same problems, will not dry dishes, odors, is this really a safe dishwasher to use. If it has a odor that means it is not getting hot enough to sanitize the dishes.

I purchased an LG refrigerator which is six years old, however, the parts are still under warranty. The freezer portion of the unit no longer gets cold enough to freeze. I called for service and there are only two service centers that service my (highly populated) area. I cant get an appointment for weeks with one of the centers and the other came only after a few days, however, they did not fix the issue. My food is now lost! I called the service center again to provide them another opportunity to fix the issue but I am unable to contact them and their mailbox is full. I called LG and asked for their assistance and they were very clear that I had no option but to work through the service center. They seem unsympathetic to my problem and offered no assistance to resolve my issue. They are basically forcing me to go weeks without a freezer or to purchase a new unit. I am very disappointed in the customer service and would never purchase another product from this company.

The controls on this microwave take some getting used to. Theyre impossible to see in dim light, and theyre not really very intuitive. My old microwave had actual buttons with numbers on them. This one uses a cutsie system that must have been designed by nerds who just wanted to demonstrate a clever-- but not user-friendly-- alternative. Oh well! Otherwise, the microwave works just fine.

I tried to EasyClean feature three times and it did not work. Then I called LG multiple times. They finally sent out their technician who agreed that it is not working. He recommended I called priority services and they said we can’t do anything about it because the oven is still functioning correctly. I contacted the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey and had many email conversations with them and LG headquarters and the final decision was I’m supposed to use three or four different types of chemicals to clean the oven because their feature does not work. We are in our 70s and scraping back of oven is not an option, only bought this oven because of the EasyClean feature.

33 cubic foot French door bottom freezer refrigerator by LG. Purchased 2-18-2014. Died (no power) 2-21-2016. Ice maker always sucked, so we hardly used it. Today while using ice dispenser, the control panel started beeping then whole unit lost power. Checked plug in and it had power. Only the refrigerator would not work. This is a known issue with LG, yet they do not want to help. Luckily I have homeowners insurance that will take care of my $3,500 bad purchase!

Ive bought front load machines in red color. It has a sensor type of thing. Anytime I wash something, it uses such a little water, I have to wash the same thing for three times. Also, dryer is the same way, it has a sensor and It stop drying the clothing before they are actually dry. I have to repeat the same cycle for dry three or more times. I set it on 55 minutes dry time, and in 10 minutes the machine stops with a signal of complete dry which is not complete. It bothers me. They werent cheap and it says less vibration and thats not true, my whole house shake from it. I wouldnt recommend to anyone! I will sell my house and make sure I dont have any LG product in my house. Very dissatisfied.

Thirteen days after the manufacturers warranty expired, this microwave quit working mid cycle. This happened in the evening, but I was still able to get a customer service rep on the phone. They suggested that I call back during the day and ask for a manager and that since it was so close to the warranty that they would most likely pay for a repair. Not the case. In fact its the complete opposite. The morning service rep would not even send me over to a manager but insisted on telling me that small purchases dont matter to them. If it were a refrigerator or TV, they would consider it, but not a counter top microwave. So if youre looking to spend money and have a microwave break in a year’s time, this piece is for you! I will never buy anything LG again solely based on this experience with their customer service, quality of product, etc.

My LG refrigerator went out after 1.5 years. Got it from Home Depot Evansville Indiana. Called them first. They gave me the LG number. Called LG. They gave me a case number and approval number?? for no charge to fix its parts. Repairman they sent just looked at the model and serial numbers and said these cant be fix. He said LG has a lawsuit against them because they cant be repaired. He left and was to call us back. No call ever came from him. Called LG back. Told Richard (same person I spoke with the first time). He again said as before no repair person in our local area. He will notify their scheduling department again. Would take 1 to 2 days to get back with us. Still No Call Back. NEVER BUY LG PRODUCTS. Attorney time!!!

The dishwasher drain stopped functioning, the freezer drawer would not stay on the tracks, and the oven’s control panel got super hot when baking and after a couple of calls to troubleshoot that never fixed it, I tried to run a self-clean and the control panel got so hot it fried the oven completely and it went black and stayed locked. Been waiting two weeks for extended warranty to send out a repair guy. A couple of boxes of parts was mailed to me but still no idea when the repair will take place. This is the worst appliance purchase I have made. Most loads show as unbalanced to which the washer responds by refilling the tub with water. It is almost impossible to meet the machines balance requirements. The constant refilling makes the machine a little less than high efficiency. The companys position that you need to wash things of similar weight in a load is ridiculous. I would have to wait until every piece of clothing I own needed washing before I could meet that requirement. A typical load takes 2+ hours to complete which includes multiple attempts to rebalance the clothes. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I cannot fathom why there are so many positive reviews for this giant POS. (Model WT1101CW)

My refrigerator has been a nightmare since the day I bought it. A month into the purchase the freezer drawer would not pull out. No big deal. The repairman came and fixed it. Recently, however, was the worst when I walked downstairs on Christmas night and heard dripping water and found it coming from the ceiling of the bedroom-right underneath the fridge. At midnight my grandchildren and I we were unloading food into our cheap garage fridge which we paid about $300 for and has never given us an ounce of trouble! This occurrence was another water line that goes to the ice dispenser. My LG is 5 years old and this is the second time this has happened. It has ruined my wood floors for the second time. I have to replace baseboard for the second time. I have to replace sheetrock for the second time. But this time I have to replace my beautiful cabinetry in my kitchen and that is almost impossible to match and will be a major expense. The first time the repairman came he told me LG uses cheap tubing that cracks over time (less than two years). He replaced one tube, but evidently not the other, hence the second major leak. The tubing cost around $12 to replace, less the house call for the repairman. Now can anyone tell me why LG cant put a piece of decent tubing on the back of the refrigerator in the first place. It would save so many people so much grief, so much money and so much time. Come on LG, cant you put out an appliance that would make people happy rather than cost them a fortune in house repair? For an extra $12? Really? You cant spare a $12 profit to make a decent appliance? Remember, Life is Good, until your LG refrigerator leaks through your wood floors and sheetrock - twice.

On 10.01.12, I complained that our LG Front load washing machine model no. F 1056LDP was not working. The service person came and spotted that panel wire was cut and told that the panel was out of stock. After a gap of 15 days, he came and changed the wire and left without checking due to current failure at that time. He assured that he will come after half an hour when the current comes to check the running of the machine. We paid Rs.500/-to him even though the machine was under warranty. But the machine was not working even after changing of wire. So again, we phoned to M/s. Golden Enterprises, Chennai-60 but nobody took the phone. Even after 20 days nobody turned up to rectify the machine. Again, we spoke with LG Customer Care and registered a complaint. But then also till date no one came to even see the machine. Due to this we have suffered a lot and it is really a mental agony after having spent Rs.20,000/- on the machine. We do not know where to complain about the irregularities in the services of LG company. It is very disheartening to note that such an esteemed organization has failed to cater to the needs of a customer.

I have a LG washer and dryer, both are four years old. I’ve been having intermittent issues with the washer not spinning/throwing a code. Three months ago I called LG to ask who the authorized repair rep is for my area (I do not live in a remote area). Two separate phone calls and 45 minutes out of my life and still they could not tell me who to call in my area. I finally emailed again about a month later and was provided two possibilities, one of them does not service my area. By the time I got a repair, the washer was completely seized and cannot be repaired. The washer went to the dump today. An email to the VP of service in Canada four days ago has not even been acknowledged. Absolutely deplorable customer care and more aggravation than it’s worth.

I have the smell issues with my LG front-loading washer and Im sure, after seeing the pictures from another case, I will be dismantling my machine this weekend (with pictures inside and out including the moldy drawer that is supposed to clean my clothing) to get rid of black mold that is most definitely making my family and me sick. I will be using extreme care to sanitize the unit and my home from this negligent company that cares nothing for its grievous mistakes that so many have had to endure. Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. I forgot to mention the fact that I have to flip the breaker each and every time I wash a load of clothes for my washer to power up! Thanks for nothing, grrr!

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

When my ancient Whirlpool washer finally died in the fall of 2012, we decided it was time for an upgrade. My partner found a good deal via a big-box retailer for an LG washer and dryer... good stuff, right? From day one, the dryer has been nothing but an albatross around our necks. Almost immediately it begin to fail after only a few uses. The rather abrupt LG technicians kept stating that our venting system was to blame. We cleaned it carefully and still had problems. Finally, an independent technician suggested we route the vent directly to the outside, which we did. Never mind the built-in vent system worked adequately with our old dryer... Well play the game. Finally, the dryer seemed to work well.Recently, my daughter was preparing to dry her clothes and noted that one of the electrical breakers had flipped due to the dryer activation. We re-flipped the breaker and the dryer was activated but did not dry. Nothing like a little midnight unloading of wet clothes and rigging a temporary clothesline, eh? Of course, we contacted LG and received the standard line Did you check your vent? We did receive a technician referral but of course no service call until Monday, so we experienced a pioneer lifestyle with our clothing needs for the weekend. No real problem, just a hassle. The friendly technician spent approximately five minutes finding the problem, a burned wiring harness. Yep, parts to be ordered and over $300.00 in repairs. The technician remarked that it is wise to stay away from LG, Samsung, and Kenmore appliances as they contain substandard parts. He didnt have to tell me twice. Ill fix this thing, of course. And then Ill go shopping for a good AMERICAN brand like I should have done in the first place. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM LG!

Now my dishwasher is having the same sensor error. I started the warranty claim on 01/23/2011. It is now 02/02/2012 with no resolution. I have had to handwash dishes for 3 weeks. I have called on 5 different occasions. On 01/23, LG stated that they needed a receipt. On 01/24, they stated did not receive all information to begin warranty work. (Please take into consideration that they have never called me once about missing information. All calls were initiated by my self). On 01/30, they stated that they did not have the serial number (which was given each time in the preceding phone calls). On 02/01, they stated that they cannot find anyone to service my area and that they needed 3-5 more days. My husband called and found servicer in less than 5 minutes. They are now stating that they cannot get paperwork in that quickly. This is unbelievable. Life is not good when you are handwashing dishes. I do not want these appliances and feel that there is nothing I can do about their terrible service.

LG Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/06 - After three years of use, my LG refrigerator had a compressor go out. The technician told me that this was common with LG refrigerators in the first 3-5 years. What made matters worse, although the compressor is still under warranty, its replacement will take 5 days (seven with weekends) for delivery. If in fact this has become a common problem, replacement parts should be far more available than 5 days-unbelievable. To make matters worse, my family will be without a refrigerator for 7-10 days (it took two to get a technician to my house) and all items that were in the unit when the refrigerator broke perished. Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothes, musty/wet dog smell. It doesnt fill with enough water to wash a hand towel. It calls for less soap, but sometimes the soap doesnt dispense all. Every load gets the UE code, uneven load and you have to open and shuffle clothes so wash time is over an hour and half. Was told by friends to pour vinegar in every load, or add bleach every time you wash, leave the lid open or mold grows in it!So I had LG rep visit and here is what I was told. Do not fill to line as specified, only 2 tablespoons of detergent, no more. You cannot wash a load too large, only a medium, fill clothes only half way. You CANNOT wash large towels, blankets or comforters in these washers. You have to add white vinegar. Leave the top open always or mold will grow. Every month you need to press tub clean and add special cleaning tablets. So basically, this efficient washer saves on water and detergent, but you have to spend your money on vinegar, cleaning tablets and dry cleaner for bulky items. Then he added this kicker: Blame the government because they have high restrictions on making washers more efficient for environment, they have to make them work bad. Apparently, the European LG washer is awesome, no restrictions. Go back to Sears, buy a Kenmore with an agitator and have clean clothes.

For four years I operated my LG Top-Loading Washer, Model #WT4801CW, using only HE detergent, managing the size of loads, etc. It worked well. However, over the years the bleach dispenser clogged, a two-inch crack developed in the top of the washers casing, and then in mid-cycle, the wash plate and cap popped off - bouncing around inside of the barrel and failing to agitate. Of course, LG offered the extended coverage (using another company, I later found). I could either spend close to $300 and receive two months of coverage or for almost double that amount, receive a full years coverage. I elected to buy the two months policy. After about a week, a tech from a local repair company came out, evaluated my machine, and sent them a report, including pictures of the damage. This seemed correct and the tech was personable. However, after another week, I called to find the status of my repair. They told me that I had to call LG. Of course, after extended conversations with a number of customer service reps, I was finally passed to LGs sub-contractor who actually administers this coverage. They, based upon the report of the visiting tech, determined that I had abused my LG Top-Loading Washing Machine and they had cancelled my policy. How, I asked, did they determine that I was as fault and abusive for the wash plate and cap popping off and bouncing around in the machine in mid-cycle?In short, nothing that I could say made any difference. They had made a partial refund of my coverage amount, and therefore the case was closed. So here I sit, fuming that there is nothing that I can do to refute this action and LG Customer Service refuses to take any action either because the coverage is with their sub-contractor. Im out $100, now branded as a WASHING MACHINE ABUSER, and no closer to a repaired machine than before. I highly recommend that you refuse any extended coverage based upon my experience. Otherwise, I TOLD YOU SO. Let the buyer be aware.

Ive had my washer for approximately 2 years. In the past Ive stuck with well respected brands such as Kenmore. I was hesitant to try a new brand, but my daughter has an LG TV that shes been pleased with, so I thought Id give LG a try. Ive raised three children and now have a grandchild, my husbands a mechanic and we farm as well, so Ive put washers through a lot over the 30+ years of married life. Ive never had a washing machine rust before this one. The compartment that is specifically designed for bleach is all rusted out, so I now wait until the washer is full and just dispense the bleach directly into the load. The back of lid that you cant see is also rusted. I take good care of my appliances by wiping them down and keeping dust off of them on a regular basis, so this isnt operators fault, this is poor materials and manufacturing. This also does not have the center agitator like the old designs and it just doesnt get my clothes as clean as with the agitator bar. I did read about the mildew smell that can occur in these new HE washers and Ive avoided this by leaving the lid and soap dispensers open after each load to air things out. Ive also been using the tub clean cycle with the special Tide cleaner about once every two months. Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore LG products. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I would never buy this type of range again. The large burners are in the front, where one would place a large stock pot. It is very dangerous to have such a large pot positioned in front. You have to reach over it to get to the smaller pots. Its very dangerous. The reason I bought this range was because it matches the refrigerator. It looks good, but it is difficult to use. I can manage it, because it is just my husband and myself. If I had a young family, I would get rid of it (even though it is new). It could become a hazard with small children around. They could easily pull a large pot over on them. I am constantly vigilant when I am cooking on it and worried I will tip the front pots over on myself. Its not a pleasure to cook anymore!

LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.
