I bought an LG double oven in February. As soon as I tried to preheat the oven, the oven filled my house up with gas. After many unsuccessful attempts to have LG have someone come out to fix the oven under its warranty, LG finally scheduled a company to come out to fix the oven. After the company attempted to fix the oven four times, the oven still leaks so much gas when I attempt to preheat the oven that I cant use it. Even though the service company has told LG that the oven is defective and they wont come attempt to repair it anymore, LG refuses to replace the oven or refund me for the cost of the oven. I have been without an oven for seven months and Im currently stuck with a $1,500 defective oven. Thanks LG!

My LG refrigerator stopped working yesterday at 3 years old. So LG covers the part but I have to pay $572.00 to have the new compressor installed. And on top of that the parts are a week out and I cannot set up the service appointment to replace the bad compressor until I have the parts in hand. And I was told LG is very bad at getting the parts out. So once parts are in hand I need to set up the appointment and oh by the way they are 2 weeks out because there is only guy that can fix this LG compressor. So that make 3 weeks without a fridge. So I am upset with LG. I looked in my house and I have an LG washer and dryer, 2 TV, sound bar and stove. Do you want to guess who is done with LG products? THIS GUY!

This is a follow-up to a review written on January 22, 2013 regarding my LG washer. I did hear back from the resolutions department at LG who extended a prorated offer for my unrepairable washer. Whereas I feel the offer is fair, it is a year late in coming! The offer will allow me to purchase another machine. Trust me, it wont be another LG despite their good ratings on various websites. I am still out the hundreds of dollars in labor costs, plus the cost of having my clothes laundered at a local dry cleaners. As I said in my remarks on the 22nd, I do consider myself a pretty savvy shopper by checking both company and customer reviews. But this time was way off the mark. I hope and pray that my next choice in a washer, this time a front loader by Electrolux, is a wiser decision and that I wont be on a first name basis with my local repairman for a long, long time!

The refrigerator stopped cooling 1 week ago. The LG repair person has been out multiple times, tested everything (even consulted with LG), finally replaced coils suspecting there was a blockage, still not cooling and it is Thanksgiving tomorrow. The compressor was replaced under warranty within the 1st year. Weve had refrigerators last 20+ years with no repairs, this is ridiculous. So the repair guy got paid yesterday, was supposed to call today, have heard nothing and his mailbox is full. We have family visiting and no refrigerator. Been living out of a cooler for the past week.Disappointed that this refrigerator has turned out to be such a piece of excrement. We bought it because LG had a good reputation. Apparently theyve cut huge corners on quality and are following the planned obsolescence that is becoming common practice so you are forced to buy appliances more often, whether you can afford it or not. And getting more business for their repair people....

I was cleaning the exterior of my LG washer WM2701H with a soft dry dishtowel and the printing around the dial wiped off. Never in my life have I had any appliance that I have cleaned on the outside that the printing just wiped off. I was not using any cleaners or liquid on it. The service person I talked to said that the printing coming off was not covered by the warranty. To me that is not the point. In this day and age with the technology we have as a country, you should be able to buy a washer that when cleaning, the printing doesnt wipe off. The washer manual say that the outside of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and mild, non abrasive household detergent. Immediately wipe off any spills with a soft, damp cloth. I guess LG doesnt care about the consumer. Im so disappointed in their non-response to problems people are having with such expensive washers and dryers. Im surprised Sears still sales LG products. Its giving them a bad name too.

Purchased LG 4 piece kitchen bundle - Black Stainless Steel; fridge (LMXC23746D), stove, micro and dishwasher. Ive noticed for the past few months that paint is peeling around the handles, borders/edges of the doors. I called LG for the fridge, I had to purchase extended warranty for 60 days for them to come out and check the fridge. Technician took pics, dont know what they going to do to repair, Im guessing Im going to have purchase extended warranty for micro, stove, they have same problem/issue. Anybody have problems or issues as me?Updated on 5/19/2017: Technician came out 5/8/17, took pictures of the refrigerator. Today I called them since they havent called regarding issue. I spoke to customer service. They said cosmetics issues is not covered. So my issue will not be fixed!!! Not only is the refrigerator, but the stove, microwave too! Call an attorney? Im still paying for this LG bundle!! Help!!! Confirmation # with LG - **.

This dryer has ruined our clothing. I get so upset every time I use it, the damage it does is upsetting and ruins my day. The clothing gets stuck on the stupid lint filter because it will not go in completely, it sticks up on both ends just enough to damage clothing by twisting it until it breaks. I will never buy another LG product again, and I will be sure to spread the word. This dryer was expensive, I bought it because I expected it to dry our clothing without damage. I am so disgusted with the flaw in the lint filter.

Model: LMV1680DW. Dont buy LG - just dont do it.... You WILL regret it. I know, every company has failures, and you can find a person who hates any company. But, LG is horrid. This is the second microwave from them that failed with the same problem - in the original warranty period! After months of fighting with them, they finally replaced the original unit, and now the new one is dead! Called them up and they start giving excuses for not replacing the second one. I will buy a new microwave - I just dont have the energy to fight them anymore and even if I win, cant go another 3 months without a microwave...It doesnt matter how cheap LG are, there is a reason they are cheap... Dont fool your self - youll spend less if pay more.

I cannot believe I have been duped by LG - I have had one problem after another with this refrigerator (LFXS29766S) that cost $2884.00 and was purchased in April 2015. Worked fine for almost a year. I called Home Depot where it was purchased when the ice and water on the door failed. They said, too bad it was 13 months after purchase and they only cover up to 12 months. Water failed again and had to be fixed. Now, it stopped cooling and no fan. Every service repair company turned me down to work on this fridge because they are notorious for being as one said crappy - needless to say, I am a very unhappy person and will NEVER by an LG appliance again. (I have a LG TV and dishwasher so they have lost a loyal customer.)

Purchased 02/2020. 1st failures occurred within 30 days. Icemaker and compressor replaced by LG tech. Worked fine until 11/21 when we found unit dead. Unplugged to check outlet. Outlet okay, plugged back in and heard a ZAP and smelled smoke. Contacted LG support and they assigned ticket and said a local company would repair. Contacted local company and they said they had refused the request from LG because LG doesnt pay them. Contacted LG again and they started a new repair ticket. I think they keep changing the ticket numbers so it appears they dont take too long to react. So far they have assigned a total of 10 repair tickets/customer service numbers. LG eventually sent an LG tech on 12/8. They had also shipped 3 different parts directly to me, but only 2 had arrived before tech showed up. He said the missing one was the needed control board and I should text him when it arrived. It arrived on 12/14 and I texted the tech. He said he no longer worked for LG and I would have to start over again. Still waiting on LG support to locate someone willing to perform the warranty repair. 3+weeks without a working refrigerator is ridiculous! I will never purchase any LG products in the future. They obviously dont care about their customers.

LG Tromm--I have spent hours on several occasions looking on the Web to find a solution to the stinky problem this washer emanates. It is horrible! I have done everything you are supposed to do plus more. I actually dry the whole tub and gasket after each wash and the smell is still horrible. LG needs to stand by the many consumers that trusted their product and fix the problem at their cost at the very least for all our pain and suffering! It makes me sick to think that they have been allowed to turn their backs and not worry about the consequences.

Woke Saturday morning to find water on floor (from ice melting in door dispenser), warm fridge and everything melted in freezer. Big mess! Called LG. After playing 20 questions with them, they determined the compressor was bad. Would send replacement parts directly to house in 2-3 days. But the earliest a tech could come out to make the replacement is 2 weeks! Who goes without a fridge for 2 weeks? Not only did we lose all our food, I lost $5000.00 in Humera injection pens that are supposed to be stored in fridge and kept cool. Sure LG will supply their faulty compressor with a new one, (dont know if I have to pay for labor yet) but who pays for all the lost food, loss of expensive medicine, all the mess and all the inconvenience and stress of not having a fridge for 2 weeks? How are not Attorneys General not following up on all these LG customer complaints about faulty compressors? It is NOT RIGHT! We paid a lot of money for this LG fridge. Our previous one, a KitchenAid, was working fine when we replaced it with this fancy new LG fridge. The KitchenAid is still working fine at my sons home in his kitchen. How can Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes still be selling these terrible products?

Never... Ever... Never will I buy another LG washing machine it is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. My water bill is high because the machine continues to fill and spin... fill and spin. You cant leave the house when washing clothes because you need to babysit the washing machine. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it. We will have owned it 2 years this coming June. It was been completely replaced once. Computer board replaced once, and worked on three additional times. NOT ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT BUY LG.

I bought an LG refrigerator with French door and bottom freezer in Aug 2010. I noticed it started to make noise when the ice maker was filling with water. I called Sears for service because it was still under warranty, and that was where I bought it. They gave me an appointment eight days later. At that point, it was still working; I thought, “No big deal.” Then the refrigerator part quit being cold; so, I called back for a sooner appointment. Two days later, the repairman came, and said I needed a new electronic board. He said he would place the order, and the part would be dropped shipped to my home. When it arrives, Im supposed to call them. This is to schedule for them to put it in, and the first available date is in eight days! Who can go without a refrigerator for eight days? They said the warranty didnt cover the food loss. So, Im out a couple hundred dollars, and I am stuck with this lousy refrigerator that I cant stand.

For some reason, the model we have was built with a special ice maker. Last month, we started hearing a loud humming sound. When you open any door, it will stop then starts after you close the door. We called service and they did a smart diagnosis via phone and said it looks like I have an ice build-up by the fan and I need to defrost the refrigerator for 8 hours. Defrosted it and after a week, we got an FF error code on the ref. We are defrosting again and see what happens. Never had this problem with a refrigerator before. Hope this get fixed right away.

My wife purchased the top of the line LG French door at Lowes in Griffin, Ga 7-27-14 (over $3000!). On 8-13, unit made strange humming sound and 8-14, freezer quit (suspect frig also but we kept door closed). Called LG 7pm 8-14 and the advisor had me go thru a bunch of steps (it was quite obvious he was reading the steps and had no clue what he was advising). He asked had we reset?? anything or made any adjustments to the temp...I wouldnt even know HOW? He had me unplug, then reset temp to -6 and then place a cup of water in the freezer and call him back in 3 hours. The whole time humming/unusual sounds still there. I called back at 11pm EST as instructed, and cup of water still just a cup of water, did not freeze. He then told me we were out of their normal service area??? and it will take 2-3 days for a technician to arrive! Seriously! Hello, this is the year 2014, not 1934. I then got upset. I called Lowes the next morning at 6am. They brought a loaner frig and placed on our front porch. As soon as it was unloaded, the LG mysteriously started working and the sound went away. I am calling Lowes this morning for a full refund. I am not going to get involved with this mystery problem going back and forth. LG customer service, horrible, I AM OUT and will never purchase any LG product. Please dont make the mistake we made, do your research first!! Shame on you Lowes for offering this frig as a top end! We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

The LG customer service is by far the worst that I have come across and I have worked in sales for god sake! The refrigerator we have had has broken about 4 times in the last two months with the repair people only being able to come in two weeks after the incident and saying that they cant replace the compressor until they have someone else come in and review the situation a week later making the first house visit a complete waste of time and not even necessary in the first place. On top of this upon calling the company themselves you will put you on hold for up to four hours while you hear the staff laughing in the back because they didnt even mute your end of the line properly with them telling you that theres not point in transferring the call to speak to someone else because they know what they are going to tell you already and this is coming from the staff themselves. Their products do not work properly as advertised so while the fridge wont give you any indicator that says that the temperatures are not adequate enough to store the food or cool it properly causes many health concerns that the staff did not seem to care about one bit. Due to the inability for this company to have some sense of product quality control I got very severe food poisoning to which I have a doctors note for and was told that I was lucky that it didnt result in death if I had eaten enough but unfortunately we dont all get so lucky. A couple of days ago we had to put my cat down due to sicknesses she received from her food not being cooled to the proper temperature and suffered greatly to the point she threw up so much bile that her insides became so inflamed that it made her unable to walk or even put pressure on herself to which I again have a Veterinarians note for and the staff not thinking it is a big deal because apparently it was just a cat and not a human even though I could have suffered the same fate as her to which they probably would not have blinked an eye too. After being put on hold and trying to solve this for the fourth time I was told someone would come in today that was sent by the company (11/29/2019) to which no one has came and they are not responding to my calls further proving that you will get the runaround. After all thats happened I just wanted to have a good thanksgiving or would have even settled for a thanksgiving at all but the food has been spoiled for almost three weeks now with my family being unable to refrigerate anything and still having to wait for a second review from the company themselves on the 6th which makes you question why the first person came in to look at the fridge in the first place. I was frustrated before not being able to eat properly but after four hours on hold and the head of their technology department saying that someone would be here today I had thought the problem was closer to getting fixed but im guessing that the no show for the promise that someone would come in today and the fact that they are not responding is their way of telling me that they dont really care and just said anything they could to get me off the phone. These products are not only unreliable but also unsafe and if you have a family or little kids should take into account that you are putting their lives at risk by using their products as well as your own with you being lucky if they take any accountability or even respond to your calls to do so. All in all I am not mad but just incredibly disappointed as I sit here waiting on the same problem to be fixed and not being able to feel the fur of my cat/hear her little footsteps around the house anymore as I am constantly reminded of it by the death trap that sits in my kitchen. If this can happen to me I am sure that it can and probably has happened to someone else and since I see that there are responses from the company on this website, I would also like the same with the hopes that this problem will be resolved because everyday that I wait is resulting in further irritation and if not responded to am prepared to take more extreme measures considering the loss of life that has occurred and negligence of this company/their staff. Also on a further note, keeping your customers on hold and then not even muting them properly while you take the time to joke and laugh about the loss of their pet is very unprofessional and needless to say not the way to do business especially if you dont know how to properly mute them so that they at least cant hear you while you mock them because they deserve that much at least. I will be awaiting a response on this matter and will reply with the best way to contact me/whatever information is needed to resolve this issue that has gone on longer than it should have and am hoping that you take into consideration how this could and probably has been affecting the others that trusted you enough to use your products/expose their families and loved ones to them. Thank you.

LG Microwave Model # LMH2016St Serial # 212 AQP3 X244 purchased on 2/13/2013 from HHGregg costing $338.99 with installation costing $149.99 plus taxes at $16.95 has blown a fan and melted the cover on the fan. The company offers no help at all in regards to this problem.

Just turned 5 yrs old and we are anxiously awaiting the third compressor. Temperature fluctuates between 36 and 60. Beautiful and interior lights are great but not to be trusted! LG has offered to pay for a mini fridge. It helps but going on 4 weeks now and this is a headache trying to cook dinner and figuring out where my ingredients are! Back porch in mini, kitchen in the mini, laundry room freezer, or the LG which houses the non-temperature sensitive items. Would never buy another LG!

We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator in August of 2015, Model LFXS30726S, and it is a horrible design. It fails completely every 16 weeks. The fridge seems really nice, but 4 months later, it failed on Christmas Day. Frost builds up around the fan and doesnt properly defrost, causing it to fail. LG serviced the unit for the first 2 Failures, and now it has failed again. 3 times in 14 months. Lucky for LG, their warranty is for 1 year, and now they will not service or repair the defective unit. This design was flawed from day 1! It just takes 4 months for the fan to wear out. And each time we have to borrow a spare fridge, move all of our food, and wait for service. They even had a service bulletin regarding this issue, and so they replaced the back inside panel which was supposed to fix the problem. Guess what... it did not help at all. DO NOT BUY LG Refrigerators! THEY EITHER DONT KNOW HOW TO DESIGN PROPERLY, OR THEY DONT TEST THEM. I am filing a complaint with the Dept of Trade and Consumer Protection, under the grounds that the fridge did not live up to its intended purpose: Keeping food cold.

We purchased the LG Front Load Inverter Direct Drive Washing Machine (Model: WM2301HR) and Dryer. I paid a pretty penny for them both. After a little over a year, our washing machine and clothes smelled rotten and mildewy. My husband looked at the machine and noticed molds on the bottom and in its parts. There should be a recall on this machine. Its gross and unhealthy for a household. The dryer takes two cycles now to dry a load. Of course, its past the one-year warranty so we are ** now. Dont buy these machines. Its a waste of money and it looks like there have been many similar complaints on these machines in the past.

Model Number LDCS24223 stopped working after 4 months! This refrigerator worked well for 4 months. Then the top refrigerator portion stopped cooling. It took over 2 weeks for LG warranty repair service to determine we needed a new fan motor and a new compressor, then another 2 weeks for these parts to be installed. A month without a refrigerator was difficult. The repair person who came was courteous. He said this model is known to have this problem. If you buy this model, I recommend you buy the extended warranty.

The purchase of the LG Washer is by far the worst I have ever made. Despite complaints to LG nothing has been done. The finish on it has faded, during the spin cycle the vibration is horrible, knocking things off the shelf, the smell cannot be controlled along with the mold on the rubber seal. Now I notice chipping on the glass on my front loader that has now produced a crack along one side and is making its way toward the center. Never will I purchase the LG brand again!

In September of 2012, I purchased the 31 CF capacity LG French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. Right away, water leaked out onto my tiled floor. The store manager actually came out and fixed it for me; he replaced a faulty part, and no more leak. Then, when we would set the freezer temp to -2 degrees F, the panel would light up with error codes, and the water and ice dispenser wouldnt work. LG service said not to set freezer below 0 as it causes the mother board to freeze up. Had to unplug it for six hours, to reset it. ??? Why have settings if you cant use them? Went along fine, but ice cubes remained a bit watery. Then one morning last week, opened freezer to a mess of thawed food. Then the error codes began coming on again. It is so sad there is apparently no quality control at LG!! Beautiful concept, but for $3300 one would expect to get more than ten and a half months out of a major appliance! Calls to Geek Squad with a promise someone would contact me within 48 hours. No call for over a week! I raised Caine, and now they are replacing my unit with one of my choosing. I am going with the new, four door Samsung with Soda stream. Fingers crossed! Get it together LG!!!

I purchased LG Waveforce Top Loading Washer WT5001cw and Gas Dryer Set on 7/9/11 from Best Buy. I had a little issue of leaking that out of nowhere was resolved. On 10/31/2102, I went to the washer to get my whites out. I couldnt open the washer because it was locked. I pressed the power button & it would not turn on. I pulled out the manual to troubleshoot the issue. There was nothing in the manual to address this issue. I then called LG. I talked to a rep out of a call center in the country of Panama. The person told me to unplug unit for 30 seconds to reset. I did this. That did not work. The person then told me to check the circuit breaker to see if the outlet tripped. I checked the circuit breaker & everything checked out normal. That did not fix issue. They told me to plug it into a different outlet. I did this. That did not fix issue. I told rep that I smelled a burning smell coming from unit. The rep told me to unplug unit. I immediately unplugged unit. Rep stated that since the unit was a bit over warranty, I would have to send my original receipt to them to be approved for an extended warranty. I faxed LG the documents they requested. As we waited days to see if this warranty was going to be approved, on Sunday, 11/4/12, my husband went down to basement to see if washer would turn on. He plugged it back in & smelt a burning smell & saw smoke coming from the back of unit. He took off a small white cover in the back to see what was happening. We found out that the main power source in the washer had caught on fire and this wasnt the first time since 10/31/12. We immediately called LG to report this & they seemed uninterested in helping us. This call center was in Asia. We also took many pictures. This rep told us we needed to contact LG on Monday to find out what to do next. On Monday, we called & talked to a rep in the USA by the name of Adrianne **, a supposed supervisor for LG. She wasnt helpful whatsoever and she was extremely rude. She made us re-fax and email another copy of original sales receipt to call us a few hours later to tell us that we were not approved for the extended warranty. She said her superiors told her that because we took off the back panel, we voided the warranty or any option for an extended. We were like Are you ** kidding us? This was an emergency situation of an LG appliance on fire in our home and it caught on fire previously days before this. Then this stupid rep told us to go to Best Buy to see if they could do anything for us, which we did that same night, which was tonight. The Best Buy manager pretty much laughed (not at us) as they were shocked LG told us to go back to them. Now, we are in a situation of being without a washer. We are trying to figure out what to do next. This appliance cannot be repaired. Even if it could, we dont want a fire hazard in our home or have to worry about it re-catching on fire in future.

I purchased an LG washer and matching dryer in April of 2014 from Best Buy. I was drawn to it because of the see through glass design. I thought they were cool looking. The salesman pitched it as a top of the line product, I fell for it :-( I cry every time I start to do laundry. My clothes NEVER come out clean. Some of it comes out of the washer dry! This is the worst purchase I have ever made. My old washer did a perfect job and I wish I hadnt purchased this crap. Im out $1600.00 for something I thought would be amazing. I spent a ton of money for dirty clothes. Best Buy came out to repair it, they said the motherboard needs to be replaced. After reading these reviews Im not hopeful at all. Dont fall for LG smart technology. This washer is crap!

I like the accessibly of water filter, sturdy solid shelves, indoor ice maker, quiet and efficient, looks amazing in the kitchen. When we moved, the buyers paid extra to keep it. I would love a freezer at bottom rather than side by side, would have liked it to be a bit larger but our space wouldnt allow it, would have liked it to come with stainless hoses for the icemaker.

My LG refrigerator (Model: LFX25971ST) is not cooling. I bought an LG stainless steel fridge about three years ago. Last night, water started leaking from the ice maker on the door. Later, I found out that the water was leaking because the fridge was no longer cooling the upper part, nor freezing the freezer compartment.I called LG Customer Service to complain, but all I received was Im sorry. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes. The supervisor said that he would look into approving reimbursement for parts, but not for labor (no promises). I now have to wait until Monday (now Saturday) to get a reply. If I went to an authorized repairman prior to receiving a reply, then they will not cover anything. So, do I wait three days for a possible partial covered repair (and not have a fridge) or do I call a repairman today? By the way, this is the second major repair to my fridge in the last few months. The first came when the water line (on the fridge, not the connection to the house) cracked and leaked behind the fridge, causing considerable damage to my floor and the ceiling in the basement. My insurance company was involved and asked for the cracked tube after I had it replaced. They said that they would consider legal actions to recover the insurance claim.

I purchased an LG Gas range in November. Stainless/Blue interior. From the beginning, we could smell gas every time we turned on the oven. I researched the problem and several sites suggested the smell was because it was new and would go away in time. Ten months later, its as bad as ever! My daughter has Down syndrome and doesnt concern herself with the oven. No matter where she is in the house, within minutes of me turning on the oven, she literally goes into a gag mode. I have to open the windows and doors. Its so bad. Also, have had more than several dozens of times that a sleeve or bump turns on the burners. They are that sensitive! I purchased a Front Load LG WM4270HWA along with matching dryer from Standard Appliance in Portland, Oregon, after reading good ratings online from Consumer Reports for these front loading machines. I had my Asko Asea dryer go out for the third time which I purchased in 2003. I was under pressure because of a pending breast cancer surgery within a week and was told by their repair group that they likely could not get parts on the older Asko. I ordered the new LG set needing sterile clean sheets and nightie after sterile prep before surgery. The repair company called and said five days later they could get the parts to repair the dryer, but it was too late, I had ordered the LG set to be delivered the next day.My first run was one queen set of sheets, nightie and one towel. I immediately got the infamous UE signal and called the LG service number and was told to wash only one type of item at one time. I kept rearranging the load to no avail. I was then told to wash only one sheet at a time. I ran the spin and dry cycle several times to no avail. I then put the very wet sheets in the dryer with over an hour of drying. During the night I was sickened by the smell of sheets and nightie and had to change everything before my surgery. After surgery recovery three weeks later, I attempted to run three different loads of laundry. All kept giving the UE signal. I have severe osteoarthritis (knees and shoulders) and had to travel up and down the stairs to keep reloading the machine because of balance errors. None of the loads came out clean the way my working Asko had cleaned. I then read the ConsumerAffairs report on the machine to find out these machines were not worth keeping especially since I have an extreme mold sensitivity (I am the worst HLA type for mold causing many chronic illnesses).Standard agreed to take the machines back and although they could not retrieve and repair my old set as they had already parted out, for an additional 900 dollars (10% restocking fee plus added cost of Askos) they would send me a new set of Asko washer and dryers. Not the best solution for someone on a fixed income but much better than keeping a mold hazard. Asko was one of the few front loaders not included in the mold class action suits. It should be required to tell customers of pending class action suits before the purchase of expensive appliances. Mold is a life threatening issue for many people. Twenty five percent of the population do not clear toxins from their bodies. I am disappointed that Standard did not tell me of the mold issue but they did take back the machines which I appreciate.

Bought this LG fridge (model LFX31925SW) in 2013. In 2016 the linear compressor went out on it and we had to toss out all our food. Now, 3 years later the linear compressor has gone out AGAIN!!! This time the labor will cost us $540 to fix because the extended warranty we purchased through Home Depot expired. I purchased an LG model # LRFD22850ST about 5 years ago. On and off for the last 5 years, my fire alarms would go off. We could never find what the cause was. Thought maybe it was just the batteries needing to be replaced in my alarms. Never thought it could be the lights inside our refrigerator. Then one day, I opened up the refrigerator to the smell of burnt plastic. The light fixture cover was melted to the refrigerator. The sockets were black, and the food on the top shelf was as hot as if it just came out of the oven. I peeled off the light fixture and was able to get the light bulbs out. I unplugged the entire unit and called LG. They told me there was a problem (I later discovered there was a class action lawsuit) and that they would send someone out to fix the problem. No charge to me. I was told that I should be fine to plug the unit back in but to make sure not to put any light bulbs in. They set up an appointment with a service provider they chose. The service provider called me and LG and refused to take the call. They said it was very difficult to deal with LG and were never able to get the parts needed. LG then chose another service provider. Same story. They refused the call for same reason. LG then informed me that they ran out of service providers in my area and that my case was being transferred to the Locator Department (I guess this happens quite a bit for the company to set up an entire department to find people / someone to service their appliances!). They said that would take 5 - 7 business days. Of course, this was on a Thursday and Columbus Day is on Monday. So they probably wont even start to look till Tuesday, which means seven business days is actually more like 2 weeks. But I should be ok to plug it back in and wait all that time and take the chance that my house will burn down! I have spoken to several repair companies and many salespeople, and all seem to believe that if an appliance goes on fire you should never plug it back in. So Im off to buy another appliance. Dont think I will ever get anything from LG. Customer service was horrible. If youre looking at appliances, I would think twice on an LG product.

It is now Jan 11, 2022 and I have had 5 LG technicians come to my home with 5 different possible causes from – You must have left your refrigerator open- to – Maybe YOU spilled something down into the ducts causing the compressor to die – to – The doors are not level, the front cross strip is not balanced, and the compressor was installed wrong and is now leaking Freon! STILL, they don’t return calls and just continue to send technicians every 7 days. They have ordered at least 5 parts and still – the fridge does not get below 46 degrees!!! The freezer frosts, the ice maker drips and I am fed up. I keep calling and making complaints – I think they are due for another class action lawsuit! LG means Losing Game! DO NOT BUY THEIR REFRIGERATORS. ONE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME HE HAS NEVER SEEN THEM REPLACE A FRIDGE IN HIS CAREER! A refund is a unicorn. LG, I’ll keep calling for my $3500 hunk of metal. I’ve had to buy backup deep freezers and form refrigerators to keep milk in the house! LG – stick to washers and terrible cell phones. Now in the past month the washer started making a loud noise during all cycles of the spin including slow and fast spin. Contacted LG who sent a tech and they said it is the outside drum and bearing which will be over a 400 dollar repair. Now a new LG can be bought for 645 so I went to HD and ordered a new Washer, same LG brand because the salesman said I could still use the 249 dollar pedestal if I went with the LG brand. Today LG deliveries came with the washer and said they will not install the new washer on the Old pedestal since it was not bought from them now and they will install only if I ordered another 249 dollar new pedestal from them again. The delivery guys were rude so I told them to take the washer back so I can buy an alternate brand along with its own matching pedestal. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. My boyfriend and I ordered a LG fridge online on June 25th for $1804.13. It was to be delivered on June 30th. My boyfriend left work to meet LG at our house. Two men took the fridge off the truck and out of the box and the back was damaged all smashed. My boyfriend told them we did not want that one and they took it back. LG never contacted us to when a new one would be delivered. I called them (on hold too long) and they told me they could not get another one here until July 11th. I couldnt believe it, I asked why so long and LG said that is the next date a truck could get to my location. I thought since it was their mistake maybe they should go a little out of their way for a customer, but no, there was nothing they could or would do. So 12 days without a fridge. We had to use a cooler just for water, milk and half for our coffee, buying ice constantly. We went out to eat a lot, which is really expensive. It was a nightmare! I called LG again and complained to a Manager/Supervisor and had to go through about an hour on the phone explaining the story over and over until I finally could get them to connect me with a supervisor and he was not very helpful but he finally said once the fridge was delivered LG would send me a check for $100.00 for my troubles, but I had to call back once the fridge was delivered. I asked why I had to wait and he stated that is their policy. I think they want you to forget about it once you get your new fridge. Well I didnt. I called back and asked for the same Supervisor, I did write down his name, Jerold. After being on hold again and explaining my story again to 2 different employees, I finally talk to Jerold and he said they will send me a check in the mail. Now it is Sept 6th and no check came in the mail.I called back LG asked to speak to Jerome, they couldnt get me Jerome, said they have a lot of Supervisors located all over and I would have to speak to whoever picked up my call. I was on hold for 20 minutes. A woman answered. I asked if she was a Supervisor, she said yes then she asked me for my phone # and put me back on hold for 5 min. She came back on the phone and said she didnt see my order. I then told her the whole situation and said maybe she should have asked me what the issue was before she put me on hold so quickly. She told me that there was no Jerome that worked there. I said it was the same # that I previously called, twice. Then I told her that the order was under my boyfriends phone # and I have the order # and the model # and sku #. She wasnt really listening, but looked up my boyfriends # and asked for the model # and said she saw no order for us.I couldnt believe it. The new fridge is in our kitchen that they delivered. I yelled at her, I just couldnt get over the way they treat customers. So I went on the computer and had a live chat on their website. The woman on the computer found the order under my boyfriends phone #. Maybe they should find a better way to keep track of orders (maybe by the order #) but she said that she had spoke to the woman, Supervisor, that I just got off the phone with and there is nothing they could do for me. Then said that they do not have a Jerome that works there and they do not give back any type of reimbursement or refund for bad service or unhappy customers. It is not their policy. I guess it not their policy to keep customers happy. It was their fault I went without a fridge for as long as I did. It was their fault I had to spend a lot more than I should have on food for two weeks, after giving them One Thousand Eight Hundred dollars.I think LG Supervisors do it on purpose, tell you to call back once the fridge is delivered, wait for a check in the mail, all tactics to make you give up. Well I didnt give up and it got me nowhere. LG also tried to say it was a Home Depot issue. Well Home Depot connected me to them, and why did a Supervisor from LG, Jerome, say he would send a check in the mail. I called Home Depot and they said they wouldnt do that, they would have reimbursed some of our payment. I have never been this angry but we spent a lot of money and hassle over this, and it is not over $100.00. It is about the way I was treated.

Our LG washing machine is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. It is currently taking over 3 hours to do a 35 minute load. You cant leave the house for fear that your clothes will be sitting in a pool of water. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it.

Updated on 02/06/2019: THIS IS AN UPDATE TO A PREVIOUS POST. We strongly do not recommend buying the LG gas oven/range model LSG4513ST due to quality issues. We also strongly do not recommend buying the LG gas oven/range from Lowes due to poor repair service, and the lack of good faith to honor the purchased extended warranty. We purchased a LG oven/range, LG refrigerator, and Bosch dishwasher from Lowes for our kitchen remodel, including a Lowes 5 year extended warranty. Our LG oven/range was installed April 2017, and we immediately observed that the control panel would signal the oven had achieved programmed temperature, but bake or broil items were undercooked. We observed the control panel would signal the temperature had been reached in about 5-10 minutes, but the oven interior took about 45 minutes to reach temperature. The LG service technician in October 2017 stated that the oven/range function was normal. In October 2018, the oven/range began turning itself off after being programmed for bake or broil. Lowes service has made five service calls during November and December 2018, without fixing the problem. Lowes notified us that our extended warranty was invalid after four service calls. The extended warranty was confirmed valid after we threatened legal action. On January 28 2019, Lowes Service phoned and indicated the oven was to be replaced. On Feb 1, 2019, Lowes Service reversed their position and decided to schedule a repair appointment for Feb 7. We have not had a functioning oven for four months.Original review: We purchased an LG LSG4513ST gas oven in Nov 2016. We do not recommend the oven. The oven has never functioned correctly. We purchased the oven from Lowe’s with a 5 year extended warranty. We have had numerous service calls without success. The oven will not stay on after programming.

The refrigerator has a bio shield, it contains liner inverter compressor, it also has a temp. control process, and other cool features like multi air flow, tempered glass shelf. Its much electricity consuming. Though it has some really cool features but I dislike that one most among all. A great portion of my electricity bill increased. I choose LG because of their service quality. I used different LG products in the past. Im very much satisfied with the quality service of LG. Though there have some other brands in the market but I prefer LG over them.

I bought my washer back in 2010 knowing I have 10 yrs warranty on the motor but got fooled by warranty sticker and come to know when my washer stop working I called LG for tech support and it was code error which clearly means motor is bad. Yes LG will honor the warranty but will charge me $302 labor... I am not stupid to pay LG to fix 6 yrs old washer where I can easily replace something for little more money and if I add few more dollars I should be able to buy latest technology washer. I warn all consumer not to be fooled by warranty because its worthless. I am shopping for new washer and never ever will buy or let any of my friends or family member buy LG product. Their corporate supervisor was very unprofessional and rude.

I feel it important for consumers to know that this stove is dangerous. A simple walking by the knobs and brushing up against them will ignite or start to let gas flow without igniting. I have come home with my house filled with gas because the knobs were brushed by when leaving. A good service tech came to my home and said LG does not have a fix for this currently. A simple splash guard in front of the knobs would fix this. I dont want my family and house to be blown up because of the faulty knobs on the LG gas range. Beware. I would not purchase this product again.

Updated on 08/30/2019: The leaked water ruined the chill drawer electrics. it is not covered under warranty anymore. I did talk to LG and they agreed to send me a new face for the drawer. Then the tech tells they charge $300 to install it. With LG the hits just keep on coming. Since the tech left yesterday the fridge is at 45 degrees and the freezer is at 20 degrees F. Maybe it will get better later? Consumers deserve better than this.Original review: Bought this refrigerator June 14 2016. The compressor and other parts have been replaced twice. The last time was August 15 2019. Here it is August 19 2019 and it is 40 degrees in the freezer and 60 degrees in the fridge. Again we are waiting on the repairman. Have lost around 200 dollars worth of food each time. It is clearly time for them to replace this lemon with a new fridge but they probably will not. Maybe the third time is a charm but I am not betting a new purchase of groceries it like I did last week. If you bought an LG fridge best of luck to you.

We have had an LG refrigerator (Model FX25960ST) for 7-8 years. In that time I have had to replace the ice maker twice. The light cover partially melted and will no longer stay in place. Yesterday we noticed the hardwood floor on the other side of the wall from unit starting to buckle. I pulled the refrigerator out and found a half inch split in the water line on the back of the refrigerator. Water shot out when it made ice. It is going to cost us $$$ to fix hardwood floor (and replace refrigerator).

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator with bottom freezer in June of 2013. In August of 2013, the ice maker went out. It took about 2wks to get it repaired. Now here in May of 2014, the ice maker and freezer arent working. I have asked that the refrigerator be replaced because not only is the ice maker not working, but now the freezer, which is a clear indication that it is a faulty product. LG has refused to replace it stating they will only repair it. They have tried and were unable to fix the initial problem. The fair and responsible thing to do is replace this faulty product.

Bought April 2013. Drying fault reported November 2013. Machine blew up/imploded February 2013. After 3 engineer visits that took 2 months to complete the machine was deemed repaired (engineer 1 guessed the fault wrong, engineer 2 guessed the fault right but instead of logging it he marked the job as complete, engineer 3 brought the right part and recommissioned the machine).Soon after during a fast spin cycle the machine exploded. By that I mean that it spun out of control at 1400 RPM, a bracket broke, the motor is broken, the drum is broken and in all I have a ruined appliance - what would have happened if my terrified wife had not been there to hit the power supply off (not to mention what could have happened to her)? The machine did not cut itself out. The 4th engineer found essential fixing screws were not where they should be ... did engineer 3 fail to correctly put the machine back together, or did LG supply a dangerously defective machine?I would be able to answer these questions if LG showed any interest at all in handling my complaints. After being escalated numerous times to supervisors we have never heard from a supervisor. We have never received an apology. We are forced to accept the same sub-contracted repair company to tinker with this appliance. I have told the supplier that I am not accepting anymore repairs and I am demanding a refund. This is spiraling into a court case. This machine cost 600. It is meant to be the best. Instead, it broke down within the first year and the after sales warranty service has been appalling. Their telephone number costs money to ring, it inevitably means a lengthy wait and discussion, the person at their end has no authority other than to follow a script, their supervisors make no attempt to communicate to us, their repair service is awful (4 engineers!!! and after the 3rd the machine exploded!).I rang their head office and the abrupt receptionist repeatedly told me to speak to customer service about my problem and that they do not give out names ... the senior managers are ring fenced in hiding from customers who are thoroughly fed up with their service. I tried publicly shaming them into giving me what they legal have to. Their Facebook team ignored me and their Twitter team gave me the link to their website. Seriously, this is a company that shows no interest in customer service. If they did, then I would not be in this situation.(And for info, the initial fault is a drying fault. The machine vents the steam during the drying cycle via the water waste pipe. Before it gets there it passes through an internal chamber and takes with it all the lint, hair and other debris collected in a drying cycle. However, that muck instead of being discharged settles on the inside of this chamber. It builds up and then blocks the chamber. This then means the machine can NOT remove the steam generated during a drying cycle so the clothes just become so hot that they will burn skin - proof being when my wife burnt herself on the machine. Now, being a simple customer I of course cant state the obvious that this is a fundamental design flaw. I have to PAY for a qualified engineer to inspect the machine and they have to write a report to state this. 1 - I have to PAY! 2 - What independent engineer is going to do that against a mega corporation?)I will never buy LG again and their level of customer service has pushed me to channel my anger into putting an objective and correct review of them on any review site I can find. Not to mention an exponential Facebook network. They just do not care.

Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this
Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this machine back in the summer of 2011. It seemed to be a great product and you had the ability to washing extremely large loads of laundry at a time. But once something goes wrong then you are in trouble! The washing machine began throwing an error code nonstop during a laundry cycle which made doing a single load of laundry next to impossible. It would take me 3-4 hours to do ONE SINGLE LOAD due to the error code. It constantly kept refilling the tub with water and attempting to continue the cycle then it would knock itself off balance and start all over again. Finally I had enough and called LG to see what the issue was. Talk about an awful customer service. I could barely understand the person and finally was able to get that there was a recall which was a software update from what the person had said and that they would contact a technician around my area to come service the machine (do the software update). That was fine by me and so I waited around to hear from the technician. A few days later I got a call from the technician in my area and they said that LG had contacted them and once they received the part they would come out and fix it. How in the world I went from needing a software update to ordered a part when no one had even come and looked at the washer was beyond me but I simply said ok and went about my day. Here is when my nightmare with LG really began. The part apparently was on back order and they told me after going a month without being able to use the machine that the part would be in within the next few weeks. After the date they had given me was passed I decided to call them back to find out what in the world was going on which they would only reply saying that the part wouldnt be in until the end of the next month. Im sorry but I cant go without a washing machine for over a month and they wanted me to go without one for over 2 months?!! To make this story short after getting absolutely nowhere with their terrible customer service I ended up making a phone call to Sears who did have the part and sent it out to me that same day. I got the part and was able to get my washer fixed (hopefully for good fingers crossed). LG was not pleased that I got the part from another source and tried to convince me to cancel the order by stating that it could be the wrong part even though it was the same part that they claimed was the issue for the machine not working in the first place. Since I refused to cancel the order and wait on them to decide when they wanted to ship the part out, they refused to reimburse me for the part and were very rude. Please do some research before deciding on purchasing ANY PRODUCT from LG. I have dealt with plenty of customer service centers and this is by far the worst service center ever! The people you get connected to are nothing but rude and not one bit helpful if you have an issue with a product (especially washing machines!). They should really change their slogan from Lifes Good to Lifes Greedy because that is exactly what this company is! This washing machine is total junk and I ended up spending a lot of money (on top of the cost of the washing machine) to fix this piece of crap that is truly not all that old. The parts for this machine are apparently always on back order and next to impossible to get to fix these junky products. I have had multiple places tell me that they no longer service LG appliances because it is too difficult to get the parts to work on them and that LG is a difficult company to work with and I sure learned my lesson after having to deal with them multiple times! They do not care about their customers like they claim and have no problem making junky appliances and putting ridiculous price tags on them. I wish that I would have did even a quick search about the products before I had purchased this machine but I now know for future reference and will not be making the same mistake again. I recommend buying a different brand and staying away from LG!!! It will save you money and stress I promise!!!

Two months ago the washer filled up and would not spin or drain. I had to have one of the kids wring the water out of the clothes pc by pc. I contacted a friend that did appliance repairs and asked for some help. He wasnt able to arrive for a week, after which time it was discovered it was the drum of the washer. I contacted LG and they said not to worry that it would be covered as a lifetime coverage. Great! Next problem I bought this off of co-worker and his partner that they had it for about a year prior but was going into a home foreclosure and sold it to me. I didnt ask for the receipt at that time not thinking it was an issues as they bought it at our local Home Depot just around the corner from us both. So as I am speaking with the LG Rep on the phone, she takes my info and then says okay I have everything I need, now we just need your tech to call in the repair call so it can be further processed. I explained the whole story as I did not have receipt and that it was never called in as I was the owner. She said thats okay, not to worry, that wouldnt be an issue. My friend calls in the problem to them, they tell him okay; its covered but all they need is a proof of purchase. Not so easy, the co-workers partner had passed a year ago and there was no remembering what CC was used to purchase or what phone number so Home depot has no way to track it. Needless to say months later, still no washer and now since I am on a fix budget as a single mom, I now have to use a laundry mat to do our laundry, very hard after many years. Its the freaking drum that is cover and I can show them exactly which store the Serial Numbered Washer was purchased from but that is not good enough after one rep said it wasnt a problem. I have told my friends and family, not to waste their time with LG Products as they too will run into POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Nothing but a run around and ** just to get out of the lifetime coverage. Avoid LG if you want better quality. Go with Maytag, I had one for over 10 + years!!!!

I liked the finger proof texture. The body of the fridge had the silver style. Really looks good in my kitchen next to my other similar style appliances. The refrigerator section holds a lot more than the refrigerator that it replaced. But I disliked the drawer on the bottom. It seemed not to hold much and everything just ended up being piled on top of each other. It just wasnt as convenient as I thought it would be for my size family. So I started looking on reviews about other brands. LG has always had a good reputation on other products of that brand I own. Ive had some good luck with their brand but all in all I think I will be looking into other companies next time I need a refrigerator.

I have an LG all-in-one washer/dryer at my wifes salon for washing towels - it has broken down twice now in a year. I bought an extended commercial warranty for it as the regular LG warranty does not cover usage in a salon. First, both drain pumps broke down - covered by the warranty so we were just inconvenienced by having to go to the local Laundromat for a couple of weeks (dont want to wash the towels at home as you never know what kind of foot fungus the customers might have). Next, one drain pump broke down and the repair guy said the drain hose underneath the machine had cracked and was leaking. My bet is that he broke the hose as it is underneath the machine and there is no way otherwise it could have been broken. The pump replacement was covered but not the hose, so we wound up spending $250 for parts and labor plus the inconvenience of having to use the local Laundromat for another 2 weeks.Last summer, my LG TROMM steam washer (which has always had the moldy, stinky rubber gasket problem requiring frequent cleaning) started giving the LE error signal which according to the book means the motor is overheating. Its 5 yrs old now and out of warranty of course. I unplugged the machine and let it sit for 30 minutes and it started working again. Same problem 2 months later, same fix. Ditto for the next 8 months. This morning again, the LE error symbol and no matter how long I let it sit, no workee. No more LG products for me! While LG is better than the typical made-in-China junk flooding our stores, it is not that much better to justify the high price.

I purchased LG front load machine in June 2012, since then I am very unhappy and not at all satisfied with the cleaning of the machine. I have many LG products at my home and had no bad experience with any of them but since the day I purchased the front load LG machine, I regret the decision of buying LG product. In the span of 2 years of purchase of machine, I have called customer services on several occasions for help and few of your technician have visited my place as well. I did whatever was advised to me by your technicians, I am still not satisfied with the cleaning and the machine functioning. My sister and mother are using the same model of machine and they are highly satisfied but when they came to my place and washed clothes in my machine, even they found a problem in my machine cleaning which your technicians are unable to find. I feel as if I have been sold a LG product with false promises which is classified as mis-selling. I think customer satisfaction should be the priority of every brand rather than selling products. I, as a customer, feel as if I have been cheated. I need my machine to be replaced or else I will make sure to take this matter further. Thanks.

I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

It leaked water out into the floor while we were at work and caused floor damage. I ordered another ice maker from someone that LG recommended. It still has problems. Home Depot is where I bought it, but I cant get them to give me a repairmans phone number either. I will never ever buy another LG product again as long as I live. If you live in the middle of nowhere, dont buy LG products! They are not worth the price at all or the trouble.

So, This was a great fridge for about 4 years. Then it stopped making cold. We have been without a refrigerator for over 1 month. Monday 5/20/19 will be the 7th time a tech has come out in an attempt to fix this piece of garbage. Im sure he will replace a part, leave, and it will continue to not work. Then next week a tech will come out again, pick a single part to replace and leave. Ill wait another week and he will come replace that part. Im pretty sure after compressor, valve, drying unit, main circuit board, and capacitor you could have replaced the fridge twice for less money. So, keep paying the techs to waste my time and rest assured I will never buy another LG appliance as long as I live.

I purchased this refrigerator on Jan 25, 2016 from Home Depot. I didnt actually use it until after renovating my home so it was put in service in July 2016. In January 2017 we lost refrigeration. This was the start of what felt like never ending problems. Because the fridge was less than one year old we had to use LG, not the Home Depot extended warranty.LG responded that they would have a service person there after 4 days. In the interim, we lost all of our food and had no refrigeration. I complained about the delay and they fundamentally didnt care. The repairman came and could not repair it. He ordered parts which would take several days. I complained again to LG and said we had a lemon but they would not replace the fridge and we had no cooling. And the fact we were without the appliance did not matter to them. The parts came, they were installed and the fridge did not work.LG said they would send another repairman which again took a few days. They would not acknowledge we had a lemon and they had ZERO empathy about our situation. They did not care that our $3,000 brand new fridge did not work and we had nothing. BTW we had also purchased a new LG washer and dryer the same day as the fridge but that meant nothing to them. It was a $5,300 order. I contacted Home Depot, who were wonderful. They sent us a small fridge to use.The new repairman came. He said they need different parts. He picked them up himself the next day. He installed them and the fridge worked...for a few days. We had returned the Home Depot loaner fridge, we were assuming the problem was fixed. Then we lost cooling again! I contacted LG, they said we would get a repairman in a few days! I contacted Home Depot and they sent another loaner fridge. It took another 3 weeks and a few visits by different people before it was repaired. I put in a formal request for a replacement and LG refused it. Essentially saying that notwithstanding our problems, it was repairable and not a LEMON. Of course they knew their warranty would run out so if it was a LEMON they obviously did not care.Today is February 10, 2019. My extended warranty ran out on Jan 25th, 2019. I couldnt buy a further extension (I tried to) because the original price of the fridge was too high for an extension. That worried me given the history of problems. I was able to extend my washer and dryer and I did. Yesterday, the compressor started making a noise again. The same noise we had before the other failures. Although, the warranty expired Home Depot will service it because they have a 30 day grace period. Thank you Home Depot. You are an honorable business. LG, you are terrible. This fridge is a LEMON and should have been replaced. No-one should have this many problems and now be faced with future bills because of your companys failure to honor the quality of a product you make. LG is not an honorable manufacturer. Stay away from their products.

Bought this expensive $2500 LG fridge from Costco June 2018, we were remodeling our kitchen. After 6 months the ice maker defrosted and started leaking and unable to dispense ice. The repairman changed the ice dispenser motor and seemed to work ok. Then after another 3 months or so, the freezer and refrigerator stopped working, defrosting all of our food. We lived on ice coolers and no cooking. When the repairman came, he unplugged the ref, and it started working again. After another month, same thing happened, defrosted all of our food again, lived on ice coolers for 4 days till repairman came and says it might be the control board acting up? He will order the part but we have to wait another 3 days or so. We are waiting for the part he ordered Thursday and will come Wednesday, long wait for a very frustrating expensive ref? I recommend “Don’t buy this fridge!“ Not worth the headaches. I live in Vegas. Very hot here, no fridge life is not easy! Very frustrating, unhappy with poor customer service. LG does not even expedite repairs? Unacceptable... We bought a lemon? Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone...

I love my LG washing machine. Works well. BUT it is the very first washing machine I have ever had that rusted where the soap, fabric softner and bleach is dispensed. I contacted LG and they never returned my call or contacted me in any way. At this rate my machine will rust out before anything else goes wrong.

The area around and under the bleach dispenser has rusted causing rust to fall into our clothing. We purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot and they and LG both indicated that this would not be covered and said that it is a cosmetic issue. We dont like our clothing getting rusty! DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER OR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT! This warranty (5 yrs.) is deceptive and Home Depot lied to us.

Updated on 03/24/2020: Well this is just a follow up to my last review. Still no change in the fact that LG has the worst customer service. As stated in my last review I bought the microwave last November and after 10 service calls they still refuse to replace the unit, forcing me to take day after day off work as they try and repair the microwave. DO NOT BUY LG is my advice if youre in the market for appliances. I only hit 1 star because it wouldnt let me put none.Original Review: Well I wish I could say my experience was good, but if I had to do it all over I would definitely not choose LG. It started in November of 2019, I was deep in the middle of a whole house remodel and it was time to purchase appliances. I chose LG because they had the look I was wanting and seemed to have decent reviews. So I made my purchase at the Home Depot and set up delivery. They were delivered the next weekend and as they suggested I unboxed everything at once before the delivery driver left and all looked just as beautiful as the ones I had picked out at the store. I was still a week away from actually installing all the appliances so I didnt think to plug each item in to make sure they worked. Thats where the trouble started, the refrigerator, range, and dishwasher all worked great and still do to this day. But when I got the over the range microwave installed and plugged in it wouldnt work. I immediately called home depot who referred me to LG direct. I called LG direct and they said since I waited 72 hours that I would have to have it fixed rather than replaced. Here we are March 1st 2020, 5 service calls, 8 calls on hold with LG, and a pissed off wife, I still dont have a working microwave, and the part they say it needs is backordered. I am beyond pissed off with LG and would definitely not recommend them on the sole reason as they do not stand behind their product. I wish I could return all of the stuff and go with another brand. Ill keep you updated if they make it right. But I have lost all faith in their customer service.

I bought my kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago, all LG brand, brand new from Home Depot. My dishwasher has given us some issues over the last year and come to find out the electronics are not covered under the 10 year warranty that is plastered on front of the appliance. No big deal, my husband was able to fix it. However, our refrigerator is a different story. It stopped cooling. We called LG. We waited a week for a repairman who was not qualified to fix refrigerators. He stated, I dont fix refrigerators. I work on washers and dryers. But with the help of the tech support he was able to determine it was the compressor. I was instructed to call LG with a case number and they would send out a qualified person to fix the problem. This was on a Friday. I called back late Monday afternoon to check on the progress and told they still havent found anyone to fix the issue. I was denied the privilege to speak with upper management and sent into the queue so long that it kicked me out. I called back 2 more times with the same result. I called back a 4th time and spoke with a different rep. He continues to tell me more of the same stuff. Not one rep was able to give me a time frame that I would have to wait for a service repair man because the truth is they dont have one in my area. He was unable to give me a number to upper management or connect me with someone higher up. He said when they send customers into the queue to be sent to the next level they keep being kicked back to them. So in other words LG does not back their products nor care about their customersThey believe it is acceptable for a product to last less than 3 years and a customer to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks with no recourse. May I add this is during the quarantine, so I had more food in the fridge than normal and yes I lost a lot of food. But no worries for LG. They are not worried about the customer. Do NOT buy LG products. I have NEVER been so upset or dissatisfied with a product before. I am 44 years old and this is the first BAD product review I have written on any product.

First contact on Feb 23rd for compressor replacement, 5 years into a ten-year compressor warranty. Lengthy wait on hold,13 verifiable calls later, as of March 5th, there has been no authorization for a compressor to be shipped to the service vendor. Service vendor made 7 of 10 calls in one day. LG will not provide a direct number to reach the same person twice. They will provide you with a badge number and first name. When you call back, there is no way to get back to the same person. Today they tell me it takes five days to process a parts authorization. They also tell me it will be another 7 to 10 days before they ship the parts once they are ordered.Once that happens, the service provider has to order the parts, and reschedule service at the home location. Both my self and the service provider have been sent to another company called Encompass who then has you start all over. I was told on March 1st that the authorization was in my email, all I had to do was open it. On March 2nd, I was assured it would be processed in 24 to 48 hours. Today, that has grown to 5-7 business days to approve parts. This has left me no choice other than to be a month or more without a refrigerator. The original purchase price was just over $2700.00 on sale.

I will NEVER purchase a LG product. My sister purchased a brand new refrigerator and it stopped working properly after 2 weeks. Around week two she started getting an error code on the freezer control panel and the door alarm started ringing even when the fridge and freezer were closed. She contacted LG and they promised to send out a technician. The first technician came out could not fix the issue and said the door had to be replaced. She waited another two weeks for the door to arrive. The tech came back out to replace the door. Within 2 hours of the technician leaving, the error code returned. She contacted LG once again and a tech was sent out. He said another part needed to be ordered, a month went by before the part arrived. After receiving the part she had to call LG once again and was promised the tech would return. That never happened. She has scheduled two appointments since then and the technician has failed to show. This has been dragging on for three months and the issue still is not resolved. The customer service reps in the warranty departments have poor dispositions and the bottom line is she spent over $1500 for a refrigerator that stopped working properly after 2 weeks. I dont understand why LG has not fixed or replaced the refrigerator. Why is it so hard to get something to simply do what you paid for it to do? LG why have you not resolved the issue? Buyers beware, because this surely could be you.
