LG French Door refrigerator. Compressor needed to be replaced. Very poor service from A&E Factory Service. Still waiting to be paid for the food spoiled. This should have been a recall on the compressor before it failed.

I have tried several things to get my dishes clean in my LG dishwashers but they rarely come out acceptable. In most cases, whats left wipes off with a dry cloth. I expect a dishwasher to clean the dishes spotless without my needing to clean them first. I will never buy another LG Dishwasher.

Noisy $4,000 fridge! LG refrigerators are noisy. The linear compressor runs constant and makes a humming and ringing noise that you can hear from other rooms. The LG Customer Service is awful, and they give you run around when you call...on phone for hours! Do not buy LG - horrible experience, and no resolution in sight.

They warranty the motor of my LG front load washer for 10 years, and my washer is 3 years and 2 months old; however getting them to come out and to process for the eventual replacement has so far taken 3 weeks. They are moving to replace because it wasnt 4 other things they replaced. They tell me since the part which was on back order for 3 weeks and suddenly arrived without warning, DURING the time period they were reviewing for my replacement which is 3-5 business days, that I have to start all over with another 3-5 business days to review for replacement YET AGAIN. Ive been 4 weeks without a washer. The customer service reps sound like robots reading from a script. They dont even sound human. This part that suddenly arrived without warning during this period when I thought I was receiving news that I could go pick up my new washer? Well, nobody even told me it was coming. The repairman, Ron, didnt even bother to tell me it had arrived at his house yesterday. He had this part and couldnt come out to my centrally located home for another week! Well, he came today and the machine still isnt working. So here I am on hold with robots, waiting for a supervisor to see if I can somehow bypass this mandatory review process which she told me wont be authorized till next Monday. That is 7 more days from today. Their service truly sucks. Nobody seems to care.

Bought our house in May of 2014 and it came with the brand new LG front loading washer. I wish it didnt because it has been an ongoing problem since we started using it. Besides having to clean it all the time, it leaks constantly. First, the error message would go on and the water wasnt draining, so it would leak everywhere, plus we would have to empty the water. We had that repaired. Now, its leaking from a different area, which is a different issue Im being told. This is the 3rd repair done on this machine!! I will never buy a washer like this again especially from LG. I thought they were a reliable company, but they definitely are not!

After being told that this washer was the most top-rated, we decided to make the move to this HE machine to save water. It has the clear top, so we were suspicious from the start with the minimal activity and agitation seen with the impeller system versus our old machine, plus it appeared that some clothes werent even getting wet! But the information we had read told us that all of this was normal. We were shocked at the 1:47 hours to complete a load, but again, we were able to wash twice as much in one load. BUT, a load of heavily soiled Levis from gardening, which would have been no problem with our old machine, came out filthy, even using the Heavy-duty cycle with extra water! TWICE!! This really is not acceptable, but we dont have a lot of faith in trying any other HE machine now either. We are reading bad reviews on pretty much all of them!

Bought an LG last August and now find both the water filter and the air filter need to be replaced every 6 months. No problem, except the air filter costs $34 and the water filter costs $42. So when I go to change the water filter, THERE IS NONE THERE!!! Call LG and am informed that this fridge does not come with a water filter! No wonder at these prices.

We have had our LG Electric Range (LSE4613) since September of 2017. Within this two month period, we have had quite a few incidents when the burners were turned on without us realizing they were on. This last time, we were seconds from significant fire damage to our home. As many others have noted, because the LG stovetops can be turned on by the slightest touch, brush or bump, it is a huge safety hazard. LG needs to develop a fix for this dangerous problem before there is a major recall or lawsuit. There is a lock feature, but its not possible to have it on at all times. The self cleaning feature also seems dangerous. While cleaning, the tile and surrounding granite became too hot to touch, so we turned it off within one hour.

Ive had the top loading high efficiency washer for about a year and it is truly the worst purchase Ive ever made. Im almost inclined to buy a new washer and chalk up an expensive loss for the sake of my own sanity. The washer gives a UE (uneven load?) error on a fairly regular basis. This stops the already very long cycle and makes me have to reset things to finish the load. Most wash cycles take over 90 minutes. Even just a spin-only cycle is 13 minutes and it will sit weighing the load or something stupid and useless for 5 minutes before one even starts to hear it spin. The only good thing is the large size of the tub. Overall, this washer is horrible.

After two years, our LG dishwasher stopped pumping out the water after washing. Upon calling LG customer service, after having to pre-pay an expensive repair bill, they sent a technician to our home to repair the machine. We are now on our fifth visit and the machine is still not repaired. The repair person just took the new parts, put them in the machine, slid the machine back into the cabinet and left, never to return to complete the job.The machines quality is poor, parts difficult to get, and service totally incompetent. Avoid this companys products at all costs. They are over priced, do not last, and are difficult to get repaired. We also own an LG refrigerator and after one year, the ice maker/water dispenser system totally failed. We are talking about a two thousand five hundred dollar refrigerator. Again, avoid LG appliances, they are junk! Their repair service is just as bad, if not worse.

After only 5 years the compressor on my LG French door refrigerator has failed (LFC25776). Although the cost of a replacement compressor is covered under warranty we will have to pay for the labor and the service technician informed us that the replacement compressor will only be covered for 90 days. We have lost all the food in the refrigerator. We just purchased another 100 pounds of ice for the cooler. I had designed my kitchen around this new refrigerator and purchased all new LG appliances. After reading the complaints about LG I have decided to buy a new refrigerator NOT A LG. I hope an LG representative reads these complaints and reaches out to consumers -- the product looks great -- unfortunately does not last.

I bought LG refrigerator from Costco back in Feb 24 2016. It was 30 cubic feet and I paid almost $2700. Nightmare started couple of weeks ago and it is ongoing. Refrigerator stop cooling, I called lg. They told me to reset and wait for 8 hrs which I did. Nothing happened, called again. They said it suppose to be 24 hrs wait, I waited 24 hrs. Nothing happened, called back again. They send the lg technician. He said faulty compressor in that kind of fridge with tons of other complains. He said they will take 6 weeks or more to repair due to so many complaints and back order on compressor. We have a tiny refrigerator right now we are using as a backup, but it can only hold milk and butter, I called costco, explained my situation to Isaac one of the manager in Victorville store near my house, and ask him to make a exception returning it due to such a long time for repair and upcoming holidays, he consulted his superior and they declined to return, but he said he contacted lg and told them about the time frame for repair, lg told him they will try to find a repair shop which can repair it sooner.Oh by the way the lg technician told me that lg used plastic ring instead of metal in compressor to save few bucks. That ring melts quickly. Thats why they are having so many complaints, according to that lg technician compressor supposed to last for 10 years. I am still waiting the response from costco and lg. My advice to consumers not buy large appliances from costco due to their scam. 100% satisfaction guarantee policy which only cover for 90 day. It is ridiculous, also lg technical support is very unsupportive and their refrigerators are faulty, unless you would like to have a nightmare like I am going through.

I am very upset and very frustrated! I bought a full suite of LG kitchen appliances just over 2 years ago from HHGregg and invested in a 5 year (HHGregg premium) warranty to cover all of the appliances. In just 2 short years I am having trouble with all of my appliances and am currently waiting on a service call from HHGregg (whom I will never buy appliances from ever again). Found out today that the HHGregg warranty is not as good as the paper on which it is written! One complaint is the LG microwave oven. It stopped working (the plate will no longer rotate and will not heat up). Apparently, there is a default in the design of the LG microwave ovens that fit over the stove. The heat from the stove causes the microwave system to stop working. LG and HHGregg should replace my malfunctioned microwave oven with one without this flaw! No LG told me to contact HHGregg! HHGregg offered me only a 200.00 store credit! This cost does not replace my microwave! I feel robbed by LG and by HHGregg! Shame on both these companies!!!

We just took our LG fridge to the dumps. Within the first year we were having problems with the ice maker and were advised to thaw it out and make sure the ice maker didnt freeze up. Then the compressor had went out after less than 4 years. The authorized service shop for northern Utah is Mark-A-Newt. They will not work on a LG fridge anymore. They said that in the last year they have only been paid once for the work they have done for LG, and they dont know of anyone who will work on them. They advised us not to buy another one. I purchased an LG refrigerator from Costco... Its a piece of junk and failed after 1 1/2 years. Costcos web page claims if you buy a major appliance from them it will have a two year warranty. However, neither LG or Costco and their claimed concierge service are truthful. Its just not the case. I have been trying to get this resolved for two weeks. My family has no refrigerator... thus no cold food. It was planned for the rest of my family to come for Christmas. Now that is not going to happen as I have no way to preserve food and prepare it. Costco and LG have ruined the Christmas for my family. Never buy an LG appliance as they do not support it. Dont believe Costco...their two year plan and concierge service is a joke. I literally have been on hold with both of these companies for at a minimum of six hours and gotten nowhere. This is the worst product support I have ever had in my life...and I am no spring chicken.

Bought April 2013. Drying fault reported November 2013. Machine blew up/imploded February 2013. After 3 engineer visits that took 2 months to complete the machine was deemed repaired (engineer 1 guessed the fault wrong, engineer 2 guessed the fault right but instead of logging it he marked the job as complete, engineer 3 brought the right part and recommissioned the machine).Soon after during a fast spin cycle the machine exploded. By that I mean that it spun out of control at 1400 RPM, a bracket broke, the motor is broken, the drum is broken and in all I have a ruined appliance - what would have happened if my terrified wife had not been there to hit the power supply off (not to mention what could have happened to her)? The machine did not cut itself out. The 4th engineer found essential fixing screws were not where they should be ... did engineer 3 fail to correctly put the machine back together, or did LG supply a dangerously defective machine?I would be able to answer these questions if LG showed any interest at all in handling my complaints. After being escalated numerous times to supervisors we have never heard from a supervisor. We have never received an apology. We are forced to accept the same sub-contracted repair company to tinker with this appliance. I have told the supplier that I am not accepting anymore repairs and I am demanding a refund. This is spiraling into a court case. This machine cost 600. It is meant to be the best. Instead, it broke down within the first year and the after sales warranty service has been appalling. Their telephone number costs money to ring, it inevitably means a lengthy wait and discussion, the person at their end has no authority other than to follow a script, their supervisors make no attempt to communicate to us, their repair service is awful (4 engineers!!! and after the 3rd the machine exploded!).I rang their head office and the abrupt receptionist repeatedly told me to speak to customer service about my problem and that they do not give out names ... the senior managers are ring fenced in hiding from customers who are thoroughly fed up with their service. I tried publicly shaming them into giving me what they legal have to. Their Facebook team ignored me and their Twitter team gave me the link to their website. Seriously, this is a company that shows no interest in customer service. If they did, then I would not be in this situation.(And for info, the initial fault is a drying fault. The machine vents the steam during the drying cycle via the water waste pipe. Before it gets there it passes through an internal chamber and takes with it all the lint, hair and other debris collected in a drying cycle. However, that muck instead of being discharged settles on the inside of this chamber. It builds up and then blocks the chamber. This then means the machine can NOT remove the steam generated during a drying cycle so the clothes just become so hot that they will burn skin - proof being when my wife burnt herself on the machine. Now, being a simple customer I of course cant state the obvious that this is a fundamental design flaw. I have to PAY for a qualified engineer to inspect the machine and they have to write a report to state this. 1 - I have to PAY! 2 - What independent engineer is going to do that against a mega corporation?)I will never buy LG again and their level of customer service has pushed me to channel my anger into putting an objective and correct review of them on any review site I can find. Not to mention an exponential Facebook network. They just do not care.

The ice maker stopped working about a year after we bought it. That was the beginning. But far worse than that is the absolute junk quality of the refrigerator interior. Like everyone else - initially I loved this unit. Its still a good looking one with amazing features - if they actually work. But when you have a sudden and complete failure of your unit it changes your opinion. And when LG customer service and their third party service centres do not treat it with any sense of urgency or allow you the courtesy of a call back then you feel bad!My stainless steel french door unit hums and lights up, but cools nothing, with no air blowing. I had to throw out over $300 worth of food and weve been without a unit for 5 days now! I am currently trying to resolve this issue with the customer service at LG Canada. Thankfully its still under warranty, plus I bought an extended warranty from the BRICK which would cover me for up to 5 more years of parts and labour or a replacement! LG sent a third party service guy who did not show up, after blocking out my whole day, which forced me to take the whole day off work losing a whole days wages as a result!! LG was unsympathetic with canned responses, and did not care much! Huge disrespect for me and my time and family! After spending over $3500 on a fridge you expect better service! In fact one of the girls at customer service had the nerve to tell me I could be charged for the service if my complaint about the unit was false! Imagine that! My advice dont buy any expensive LG refrigerator. Heck! Keep away from LG all together! Its easier to deal with a $500 unit than deal with this nonsense on a high end unit!

This is the worst machine ever. They are now selling a 2 year old machine at local flea markets to see if a sucker will buy it. True Balance means it will never truly balance and will not wash one load of clothing without it taking you hours. This machine might work on cement and only cement because if it is on a wood flooring it will not work.I have found that if I load clothes, it keeps trying to sense the clothing, then I shut it off, restart and let it go. I can get half a cycle done until it spins then is off balance again. Then you shut it off, turn it back on to spin. Shut it off, then restart with rinse and spin... You can sometimes get it to work. The worst design ever for this high priced piece of junk.LG is not a company I will ever purchase from again. Do not buy this machine and do not take this machine if it is given to you for free. I have had my LG refrigerator for a little over 5 years now. On Thursday my compressor went out for the second time. I called customer service and they stated it is under warranty, however they were also going to make an exception because the labor was not covered. Their next available appointment was 5/7/20. I get a call back a few hours later and I am told the next available appointment is actually until 5/18/20. It is currently 90 degrees where I live and since I am at risk have limited my grocery shopping to every 2-3 weeks. Lucky for me I had just gone grocery shopping. I ask LG, Will you pay for a rental fridge? (given its a known problem)….Nope. How about the roughly $200 in groceries I had just purchased....nope. How about sending anyone out sooner....We will call in 24-48 hours.Get a call and now I am being told my new appointment date is 5/19/20. Call back since it is ridiculous to wait 3 weeks to get a known problem fixed. Ask about reimbursement for me purchasing a new fridge….nope. Ask if I can get my grocery reimbursement if I buy a new fridge....nope. Then I am told I can call around to find someone and get all their information etc. and they MAY be able to authorize this company to fix my compressor. All I can say is WOW, really hoped my experience would have been not like I read in other reviews but I guess not. Here is to a waste of a fridge and a horrible customer service experience.

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

Back in November 2006, my husband and I remodeled our kitchen. We purchased all LG products, refrigerator, dishwasher, electric range, and microwave oven. I have had issues with each appliance. The refrigerator, the ice machine broke and leaked ice water in the entire freezer section and kitchen floor. The microwave oven handle has cracked. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes, and the soap dispenser always has caked on soap residue. As of this date, I have not had an oven for over a month. The keypad panel stopped working, the wrong part arrived. I did contact LG and placed a formal complaint to the customer service representative, I have had no response. I will make sure that everyone that I come in contact with will know that LG products are not reliable and their parts are impossible to get.

LG is great brand. Love their unique features. Great company. I know the brand and I am familiar with the brand. It is always great whether it is a tv or a microwave. I love the brand so I thought it was a much better choice. I like how the refrigerator gives ice and it is great. Love the color and the spacing in the freezer. Love the white color on the inside. And it looks great on my wall. Love how it is built to last and hope it does. But I dont like how much space is taking and there should be more light. It could be much better color. It is not too heavy and love the electrical and it is okay. Could be way better.

The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. Now, LG is telling us our home insurance has to cover it and they wont do anything about it. I have reported LG to saferproducts.gov and Im looking into filing a class action suit.

Beware LG french door fridges where the bottom shelf cannot be cleaned nor removed. My LG fridge that I bought almost 2 years ago (GR-L218ASL) has a bottom shelf that cannot be cleaned between the plastic and glass... its very unsafe (unhygienic) and is a design fault which LG thinks I should pay for. Customer service bad... no integrity, customer is not right and case manager who told me he was the head of LG John, who I can only imagine was Mr. Juno Cho (supposedly) wasnt concerned about bad reviews. So here we are, they will occur everywhere I can find to place them to make other customers aware. Do not buy LG.

Do not waste your time trying to get LG to help you. They have a lint filter that will not fit unless they redesigned your dryer. They will delay, they will put you through hell and still get you nowhere even if they sent you a filter for the dryer it still will not fit. They know its a problem. They are not really helping people because it would cost them way too much to redesign each dryer thats out there and there is no class action suit then Im aware of currently. If this website ConsumerAffairs.com is willing to step in and really help people they should see who sent this and passed my contact information which you have my permission to do so to those class action attorneys that will get something done about this. I have spent too much time getting nowhere with LG support. They dont even have the decency to follow up and actually help in a real way. Again anyone who has any connection with LG that thinks theyre going to make headway on this they could not afford the amount of expense to either recall or redesign those dryers that are out there that are ruining clothes everyday.

They tell me I must talk with a LG referred service contractor/repair. LG gives me the number for A&E Service/Repair. Same as before. Relay & Overload Assembly. Parts N/A - $75.00 gone. Talked again with LG customer service and get names for three (3) parts suppliers for LG parts. Again not available, discontinued. I dont trust any of the side loaders due to the possibility of water leaking around the door seal. Price was discounted for a holiday, from Lowes. Lowes installation bothered me a lot. This washer and dryer replaced Kenmores that were 25 years old, and still running. Quality means a lot to me. I expect these LGs to last at least as long as my 25 year old Kenmores since engineering and technology MUST have improved in the last 25 years. After a year, I am very happy with the LGs. Occasionally, the washer cant balance the load and I have to redistribute the washer contents. Note that the basin spins at over 1000 rpm, so a balanced load is critical. Thats okay. I thought the vast number of washing options were way too many, so too the dryer. But I guess some owners will use options that I dont. The clothes load size is really big. You will need very long arms to reach the bottom of the washer to pull out all the items.

Their customer service is horrible and they state they wont replace a unit unless theyve come out four times. There is a pending class action suit against the company and the company should recall these products and refund the consumers money. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another product. We purchased an LG dishwasher from Home Depot as part of a package for a kitchen remodel this summer. The dishwasher has been worthless. The only way to get clean dishes out of it is to wash them thoroughly by hand before loading... Add to that occasional flooding on the kitchen floor and a really unpleasant smell when the door is opened and you can see why I give this product one star. In 2012, we upgraded our kitchen appliances to LG products. It has been an absolute nightmare! Every appliance has failed in some manner. The oven stopped working multiple times on our range. I couldnt believe that when I called customer service, we were told to turn off the circuit breaker for 5 seconds and then turn it back on. The code was F1. We noticed a hairline crack in the interior wall of the refrigerator near one of the shelves. The microwave door keeps lowering on us. And last week, the dishwasher just stopped working without warning. Rather than continue repairing things, we have decided to replace all of the appliances with another brand. Never will I ever recommend LG appliance products to anyone after our experience. And never will I purchase them. Love the electronics. But their appliance product is amongst the worst!

Gas knobs on my LG 30 freestanding gas convection range (model number LRG3097ST) have malfunctioned twice; each time, theyre causing gas leaks. When my husband called, we got 4 replacement knobs with the identical issue. The issue is the plastic inserts - they break and they continue to break. This is a known issue! In my humble opinion, there should have been a recall issued a while ago on this; and you dont have to be a NASA rocket scientist to figure that out. I looked at the complaints the customers have made against the LG line, and its been going strong since 2009. I am not sure what the Consumer Protection Board is waiting on. But Im hoping to at least use this venue to get the message out. The rest of the oven works wonderfully, but the gas leak from those knobs should be addressed, and if not by LG, at least by our own Consumer Protection Board.

Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

Well our big LG made it past its 5th birthday without a single repair, but
Well our big LG made it past its 5th birthday without a single repair, but sadly the compressor died exactly 120 days after that milestone. We bought our LFX31925ST in July 2012 from Home Depot. Looks can be deceiving... the interior had very good fit and finish and oh the size. From the first week, we would hear a loud bang every few days. I figured it was some kind of expansion valve. Ice cubes would often clump together, so it became a routine to open the ice maker door and un-clump the ice with a spoon. But for 5 years it was pretty much trouble-free. I had a commercial-grade surge protector on it from day 1. Both the freezer and refrigerator compartment stopped cooling right after Thanksgiving this year (thank God it was AFTER Thanksgiving). And just good luck my mom moved the week before and gave me her old upright freezer, thus we didnt lose much food. I removed the back panel on the LG and verified both fan and compressor were running. As it was out of 1 year labor warranty, LG would not pay for the service call to determine if the 7-year sealed system or 10-year warrantied compressor was the culprit. Spent $98 and waited a few days on a service call. Tech gets on the phone with LG and diagnosed it needs a new compressor. Compressor is under 10-year warranty, 1 month back order, but $1295 for labor is my responsibility. Geez, I should have went to refrigeration school. Tech said hes replaced so many of these LG compressors and recommended I get a new Whirlpool. He said even the replacements would fail. I like our LG fridge for its size and interior fit and finish, but to spend $1300 on a repair that will probably not last? My family members still have GE and Jenn Air fridges that are over 20 years old and not a single service call. Really disappointed. All this linear compressor and Inverter power supply technology seems to have compromised reliability. Anyone still make good old reliable refrigerators?

My experience with LG has not been great considering that it took a month to get my French-door refrigerator fixed this summer. I got this unit because I liked the design. Its compressor went out and I called the warranty company Asurion and they kept telling me that it had to be LG alone to fix it. It took two weeks to finally get somebody to get here. The first person who came out was here for four and a half hours and he did things incorrectly. The first compressor that they put in ended up being broken itself too. So then, they had to order a whole another compressor and dryer again. Then, even though it was delivered to my house within five days, it was two weeks before I got the second technician to come and fix what the first tech did. So, not very happy at all. The techs were friendly and courteous, though. Also, whenever I called LG a couple of weeks ago when the unit was acting up, they got on it very quickly and was able to call a different company to come and work on it. So, I was happy with that. Still, since the repair the refrigerator has been off and on. I have to keep hitting my breaker and resetting my refrigerator from time to time. The panel board will lock up for no reason at all. We dont know why it does that. Also, the ice maker will stop working for a couple of days at a time and it makes noises. Then it will fix itself and go back to working. I wont buy another one.

LG Black Stainless Model #LFXC24726D - I have had my doors replaced twice.
LG Black Stainless Model #LFXC24726D - I have had my doors replaced twice. Last week the tech David ** here in Northern California came out to replace the freezer and one refrigerator door. When he replaced the freezer door he chipped the plastic on the freezer prying the old paint skin off. Then he scratched the new skin by the handle in the corner. It looks like the new skin that was replaced on the freezer doesnt fit this model because now all that you can see where the handles are is the white plastic. I called within 15 minutes of David leaving to complain about the chipped plastic. He came back to the house, took pictures and sent it on to customer service in Alabama to Jessica the Executive Supervisor. The following day I got an email saying they would be out on 10/18/18 between 8-12. Of course on 10/18/18 around 10:45 I get a call from Jessica the Executive Supervisor saying that they would not be fixing the chip that the tech made and that the case was closed and they would not be coming out anymore. I asked if they had reviewed my two email dated 10/21/18 on the other two issues. She said no and that I would get a call from her within 24-48 hours. Of course no call so I called on 10/22/18 and Jessica was not available so I spoke to Bill Executive Service Supervisor and told that I would have to pay for the new freezer door and service call on something that the tech David ** messed up. My only recourse is to appeal to the Office of the President (no phone number to speak to anyone in that office). At this point I will be complaining to the Bureau of Consumer Protection, Better Business Bureau and looking to see if there is a Class Action Lawsuit going on.

After only a year and two months after purchase, our LG dishwasher (LDS4821ST) is obviously having a drain pump issue, and thankfully we purchased the service plan at Home Depot. This washer sucks. It has become noisy, the panel freaks out and sometimes you cannot choose certain wash cycles, and now this drain pump issue. Its a huge piece of **. Follow my advice, since I know people with more expensive washers - get something like a Bosch or, if you really have the cash, a Miele. If you purchase an LG, you will regret it. Oh, and we also have an LG refrigerator, which also sucks. Although there are no real problems yet, it cools unevenly, and even when the unit is set at 36, some zones read 42-44 degrees (I have a digital chefs thermometer), which is in the danger zone for food (40/140 rule).

Very good refrigerator that I expect to last a long time. I would like more door shelves and more drawers though. We also splurged and purchased the LG combo after being told they were the best. We had them 4 months and the washer began to leak. We had the service people out 7 times. Of course, it would not leak when they were here. We also had the disgusting odor and high-pitched scream when filling with water. The service men informed us that it could no way be their problem--it had to be something we did. They also had no idea how to get rid of the smell. We were still under warranty at the time. I had to keep taking off time from work to be here when they were here. The last time they were here, though, I walked in on one of them talking to their dispatcher complaining that they had been here several times and they were making no money on this call. Isnt that great? I have a faulty washer and dryer and they are worried about money? What about the money we spent on these relics? Needless to say, that was the last time they were here. I just happened to ask a sales lady at Home Depot about the odor and she told me about the front panel and draining that tube and actually running Clorox bleach through the machine. She also said do not use Downy whatever you do as it builds up on the drum and does not come off and always leave the washer door open. But, now, there’s a new problem: the light never goes off in the washer. It used to. I emailed LG and their response was you need a service call. Are you kidding? Ive had my washer for approximately 2 years. In the past Ive stuck with well respected brands such as Kenmore. I was hesitant to try a new brand, but my daughter has an LG TV that shes been pleased with, so I thought Id give LG a try. Ive raised three children and now have a grandchild, my husbands a mechanic and we farm as well, so Ive put washers through a lot over the 30+ years of married life. Ive never had a washing machine rust before this one. The compartment that is specifically designed for bleach is all rusted out, so I now wait until the washer is full and just dispense the bleach directly into the load. The back of lid that you cant see is also rusted. I take good care of my appliances by wiping them down and keeping dust off of them on a regular basis, so this isnt operators fault, this is poor materials and manufacturing. This also does not have the center agitator like the old designs and it just doesnt get my clothes as clean as with the agitator bar. I did read about the mildew smell that can occur in these new HE washers and Ive avoided this by leaving the lid and soap dispensers open after each load to air things out. Ive also been using the tub clean cycle with the special Tide cleaner about once every two months. Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore LG products. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I find the cycles take a long time to run through and the clothes are not always clean. I have had to add extra cleaners to the washer to get large loads clean. When I add borax it doesnt always rinse out and I need to go back and rewash the load. The fact that it takes so long to do one large load is frustrating.

We purchased the LG washing machine from Sears for our new home and it never worked right. Sears failed to work with us to properly correct the problem. Finally, Sears came out to repair the machine. However, that made the problem worse. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told they would call back within 2 hours. After waiting 4 days, we called Sears customer service and again asked to speak to a supervisor. We were told to not call Sears, but call LG. We did and they too sent a repairman (very professional), who said the machine was defective. LG agreed to send us a new replacement. The replacement arrived, but that too failed to work at all. Both the installer and I spoke with LG, that tried to blame it on a water pressure problem. There is no water pressure issue here. The installer stated the new machine is defective. The installers removed the new defective machine and put back the old defective machine. Incredible. Although LG has promised to send yet another new machine, I am now at the point where we will request a full refund. I believe we all have grounds for a class action lawsuit against LG and perhaps Sears. Anyone interested?

It is ridiculous to have to dry the washer out each time it is used. The door is hard to open and so low to the ground I have injured my back. You have to clean out the little holes at the bottom of the gray piece. It holds lint. The dryer door is very hard to open. We took the light bulb out so I only have to open the door when dryer has been used. The washer and dryer doors are always open to permit me from having to lean over and pull the doors open. I have had back surgery since we got the washer and dryer and I was fine before the purchase. I will never buy an appliance from LG again!

Cant believe this company can keep running this way. Service department unhelpful!! Washer barely 5 mo. old. Called a week ago for appointment was told scheduling would have to call back it would take 3-5 business days. NO call. Called Saturday was told A&E could come & repair on 26th. Said No way. They are awful and have to keep coming back somehow. Out of that conversation they made the appointment with A&E. Really. So called today to get more runaround. Waited on hold for 20 min. to talk to a supervisor who was EXTREMLY RUDE!!! Only to be told we made that appointment with A&E even when I told him we never did. He ignored me so much for customer being right. Then he put me on hold for 20 more min. to cancel that appointment and put me on a list for a scheduler to call me back for an appointment another 3-5 business days. But now they are not giving me runaround according to the supervisor!!! But lo behold today they called me with an appointment for Saturday AM. I am overjoyed. We will see what Saturday brings but LG customer service is the worst I have EVER experienced!!!

LG front load washer is four years old. I got an LE message then the machine wouldnt run, so I called for service. Stainless Steel drum has lifetime warranty. The motor has 7-year warranty. The service technician was on the phone with LG for about an hour, apparently trying to understand the Pakistani man. The end result was $700 to repair the drum and motor and replace the plastic drum around the inner drum, which of course has no warranty, and about 5 hours labor to tear it all apart. It doesnt matter what model. It is a $1,000 washer that should not need $700 in repairs in four years. This is the very last LG product that is ever purchased at my house. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have.

On September 24, 2007 I purchased an LG refrigerator (model # LRSC26923TT), dishwasher and microwave at Gabowitz Appliances, East Brunswick, New Jersey. At that time I purchased an extended warranty for the refrigerator. The refrigerator needed to have the icemaker replaced within the year. The repairman told me it was a defective part and since then, it has had to be replaced four times for the same reason. The icemaker melts and becomes deformed. LG keeps replacing the defective part with another defective part as they have not fixed the defect. My extended warranty expires in September, 2012 and from hereon in, I will have to pay approximately $350.00--the price the repairman said it will cost--when it again needs a repair since it was again replaced with a part that is the same as the defective part (as per the repairman). When I wrote to LG they just answered that it is out of the manufacturer’s warranty and they have no obligations.

We purchased a stainless French door refrigerator just over two years ago. We have had no issues until recently. We noticed that one of exterior door panels has rust bleeding through the finish from top to bottom on just the one door. We purchased an extended warranty through Lowe’s. I was told it was cosmetic and therefore not covered. The warranty company suggested I contact LG to see if maybe they would do something to make it right. I called LG and explained the situation. The representative did not apologize or offer any kind of support. She just simply told me that it was a cosmetic issue and not their problem. I began to explain how crappy it was of them after I placed trust in their company when I chose to spend over $3k on fridge, she just hung up. Never again LG.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator 3 to 4 years ago with Model Number LFC21760ST and Serial Number **. Within 6 months time, the plastic shelves in the top refrigerator broke. The company replaced them with the same shelves after I called to complain. Within 6 more months or so, the same shelves broke again, then the long tray shelf cracked completely in two pieces. I did not call to complain as there was no point in asking for more junk replacement parts. This morning, when I opened the refrigerator, the light box had fallen and the contents of my refrigerator were hot from the two hanging light bulbs. I called the company service number above and was told this is a common problem and theyll come out to fix the light bulb box only, not all the broken flimsy plastic shelves. How can I warn consumers not to buy this product? It is just my husband and I who use this refrigerator, and it has not been abused. This was not an inexpensive product, yet it was constructed with junk materials. Please advise buyers to beware of this LG product line. Thank You,Jeanne

Well LG you have a lot on your plate right now and thousands of consumers without refrigerators due to your faulty compressor problems. Mine has been out since last Wednesday and LG cannot find anyone to service their product even their LG technicians aren’t available. Living out of 3 coolers and had to buy a box freezer. Now on my way to buy a used refrigerator because not knowing how long this issue is going to take! Was reassured that I would be reimbursed for buying the box freezer, food spoilage and old refrigerator. My case was sent to regional manager and being review while being told I’d be called back in 3 to 5 business days with a resolution to replace or give me my money back if I pass the review and if they cannot find anyone to come out and fix it. I don’t want to ever own another LG product let alone have them come out and replace the compressor with the same faulty issues to have it break down again in which it would. I also have a 1,000 dollar LG dishwasher and 6 months ago the top digital touch board went out! 1 year later! They replaced that and praying it doesn’t go out again. So now playing the waiting game. Don’t buy LG. Appliances will never be made the same way that they were years ago in the 70’s and 80’s to last a lifetime. I have reviewed just about every brand out there and all I find is garbage reviews!! What the hell can you buy that’s reliable anymore!

The drum spun off its base when in the spin cycle . It was only filled with intimate clothing . It slammed into the inside front panel of the washer with me standing in front of the machine. I called LG and they want proof of purchase..Which we have...Then they will review..then they will decide if it meets criteria for repair....then they will find a service person....then they will schedule an appointment for repair on a washer that they knew was on recall all along! Maybe 5 to 10 days later! I have a family of 6...one trip to the laundry mat is 50.00 to 80.00 depending on blankets with urine etc. In 10 days we will be out the cost of a washer. What kind of help is that! At home depot we paid 1945.00 for the washer and dryer set on 12/08/11. That is the type of customer service you receive from LG for your dollars...so BADDDDD! DONT DO IT!

I bought this LG dishwasher 2 years ago. The dishwasher never worked well. Dishes were not clean, racks collapsed, the cycles it offered were useless. The Smart Diagnosis does not function. The app is not yet set up. Within the first year the dishwasher completely broke down and I had to replace the motor. I asked for a new dishwasher but the company refused. I figured it was a lemon. Now a little past the second year the dishwasher is not draining. I took the dishwasher out of the space to make sure that the pipe was not kinked. I found a tissue stuffed in a spot where a screw should have been. The repair man probably put it there to prevent something from jiggling. How do I know he repaired it properly? I spoke with customer service in the Philippines. The girl was cordial but explained that to fix the dishwasher it was going to cost me $400. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They transferred me to a girl in Alabama who was less than helpful. She was rude. She just talked and talked about how I should have bought an extended warranty and did not let me get a word in. Finally she ended up hanging up on me. It seems like highway robbery that I pay 899 for a dishwasher that breaks in the first year, then little into the second year they want me to pay another 400. I cannot afford to pay 440 dollars a year to have a dishwasher. I had a Maytag before this that lasted 20 years and I paid about $350 for it.

Purchased refrigerator in October to be delivered to our home that was still in the build process. hhgregg held fridge for us until Nov.22, when it was delivered. $3600.00 later, I could take the thing and run a truck over it. 2 weeks ago, my husband came and got me from another room to show me the control panel on the fridge... it read..... R & DH. No clue what either meant, got the manual, lo and behold manual is in every language, but not one thing referring to the codes on the control panel. Left with one option - call the 800#.. Now that means speaking with someone in God knows where, who cant stop apologizing long enough for you to say what you need.... She informs me that we (my husband, who is 72 and myself who is 67) need to PULL the from the wall, unplug it and let it sit {like rebooting a computer}. Then plug it back in and it will be fine.... She failed to tell us that we would have to do this on the average of twice a day, every day!Contacted hhgregg. Oh we had 30 days for return, too bad!!!! Called LG, when the foreign person answered, I demanded to speak to a supervisor who spoke and understood ENGLISH, she supplied. She said that there was a company who would come to fix it.... She contacted them. They happened to be the ONLY COMPANY WITHIN A 75 MILE RADIUS THAT WORKS ON LG!!!!! Now, how lucky are we????? NOT.Company called, sent a young kid out to access the fridge. Lo and behold, I needed a part that would actually defrost the fridge. The one in there was not working. He ordered the part. In the middle of all of this, my husband had to have surgery. They called me to schedule the appointment and unfortunately I had to call them to come later in the day, I had to get my husband to the surgeons office for an emergency. Called the other kid repairman and he said he would make me the last visit. We got home around 1PM in the afternoon, called him and he said to me, oh I forgot I had another client and I wont be there today, they dont allow us much for gas money. I was furious.... I said to him, this is your job..... I had an emergency and he said, well you are the reason I didnt make it there today. I could have gone through the phone after him.... He then said I would have to contact the office to reschedule.. He had my part on his truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I decided to call LG and let them handle it. The gal said she would find someone who could come out and fix the unit... She didnt bother to say that she would not be in touch until the next week. In the meantime, we are still unplugging and replugging... and get angrier by the minute. I finally called LG to find out what happened. Oh the dept that handles that take 3-5 business days to locate someone. I ask her, suppose I had gone on vacation and this happened, I would have lost all my food. Yes you would and it was your responsibility. LG will not reimburse. I am not proud of my profanity at this point, but it was well deserved. LG had me between a rock and hard place. I called the owner of the company that first came out... {let me add this, the owner of the company called me and apologized for the kid that gave me the attitude and said he was no longer working for them, that is not how he treats his customers}. When I spoke to him, he was gracious and said he would be out on Thursday to fix the fridge. He came, apologizing once again, put the part in the fridge, after showing us the frost that was built up on the back of the bottom freezer. Said to us that if this does not work, then we have more serious problems. NOT EVEN 12 HRS AND IT WAS BACK DOING THE SAME DAMN THING. I am so angry, so frustrated..... Of course it happened on Friday so nothing was open until today.... I have posted this review here, next Consumer Protection agency, LG and then hhgregg... Busy morning for this frustrated and angry consumer!

I purchased a top loader washer in August 2012. I washed a couple loads of clothes and after drying them, they stink still. I decided to read the manual to see if I was doing something wrong. No, I sure was not. I tried the extra rinse cycle, etc. Still stinky clothes. I called Conns; they say I have to pay a 20% restocking fee. What! Thats crazy. The machine does not work good so thats a manufacture defect, not a customer issue. Anyway, they decided to send someone to look at it. The guy said, It sounds like youre doing everything right. Nothing wrong. I said, If clothes still stink, something is wrong. He said its the government because theyre trying to save the earth by using less water. Wow, so our clothes have to stink because we have a limit on water to use. This is real crazy to me. What is this world coming to take our money and dont care what we get in return? Pretty soon, we wont be a free country anymore. The government will be running everything.

It had been a total piece of junk since I purchased. The ice maker never works. You have to unplug the door to the ice and chip the ice as it never comes down. The french door closure has broke and it a nightmare. It has to be closed in a certain order or it remains open. The only problem is, there is no indication it is open, so I have had spoiled food on at least 4 occasions. Now I find out the Compressor has gone out. In 5 years??? The only thing that I have not liked about this refrigerator is that the cover on the ice machine has broken. Theres a couple screws to the latch on it and they have broken off. We had to special order the size and we couldnt have made a better pick. Its sleek and has plenty of room despite being smaller than the standard fridge. I like the bottom freezer, it has a drawer so it really maximizes the space in the freezer. If I had to change anything it would be on the outside. Because it is a smooth shiny black, fingerprints show badly on it as well as any dirt or food so I constantly have to wipe it down which isnt a dealbreaker for me because Im OCD anyway.

DANGEROUS MICROWAVE! Not even a year old and some interior paint chipped after approx. 6 mos. of this brand new LG Microwave. It caused sparking and smelled like something was burning. It more than likely could have caught fire if I didnt catch it right away by pressing Stop on the control panel. There was exposed metal inside around the door area where the paint chipped. I didnt return it cause I lost the receipt (I have bank info cause I paid with my Debit Card). I never purchase insurance cause I have been ripped off so much with that. I cant afford to buy another microwave so I put some appliance paint on the chipped area let it dry overnight. It did work, however a few months later it chipped and again MORE SPARKING in a different area. Repeated the process with the appliance paint and again it worked. Shouldnt have to worry about this. I dont walk away when using this microwave cause its DANGEROUS!I was also unhappy with this LG Microwave due to it being LOUD, HARD TO SEE CONTROL PANEL, COOKS VERY HOT (OVERCOOKS USING THE CONTROL PANELS TIMED COOKING & TEMP eg... Potatoes, Popcorn etc. I did read reviews prior to purchasing and some of the issues can be overcome, however not the FIRE HAZARD ISSUE! I was surprised to see 4-5 star reviews. Purchased new refrigerator from RC Willey 18 months ago with our new house, have had an LG frontload washer and dryer for over 7 years without an issue. Fridge had great reviews and we really liked the door-in-door. Has worked flawlessly until yesterday. Found water all over the floor (luckily we found it quickly and cleaned it up, it would have eventually ruined our laminate floors (except I have not pulled out the fridge to check underneath). Checked with the manual and went through all the troubleshooting, nothing worked. Called customer service, and they quickly set-up a case number and scheduled a technician to come and see what is wrong. Had the service company call me the next day and confirm an appointment for the following day (Good so far, right? Except all of our frozen food is thawed. Luckily my wife is a florist and she has a floral cooler that we put our refrigerated items in). Two hours later the same person called back and said that they cant do the service call, they do not do LG warranty work. They would call LG and have them schedule someone else. Wanting to make sure that no-one dropped the ball, having no fridge/freezer is a major inconvenience, I called LG service back and asked if the cancellation had been taken care of and a new service company scheduled. It had not. The customer service person was apologetic and said that they needed to get an authorized service company scheduled to come service the refrigerator, because not all companies are equipped to handle cooling issues. Why wasnt this already figured into the request? The person also let me know that the service will hopefully get set up tomorrow (Friday 1/18/2019), and I should hear back next Monday or Tuesday. They gave me another case number. So I went back to the original text response I received from LG Customer Service, it indicated an authorized repair service located 68 miles away. Except I called them and they wont do any work on LG refrigerators without a work authorization code from LG. A cooling issue? They told me they arent equipped to work on LG cooling issues anyway. So then I started looking on-line to see if this was a common problem. Way too many nightmare customer service stories for an issue that is an obvious defect. I would not choose to be without a fridge/freezer for any length of time, and would want to replace it with another product quickly. Pretty disappointed in this product that was pretty expensive.

Purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator less than 2 years ago. Started to notice freezer was not keeping things frozen. Call LG, do the diagnostic where you hold the phone up to the appliance (crazy and doubt it works). They agree to send a tech. Wait a week to get on the schedule. Tech from Mr. Appliance comes out and says compressor, coil and evaporator are bad. We need to turn it off and wait for parts. Parts take another 2 weeks. Tech was here today and replaced all three parts. It took him 3 hours. When he went to start it up, no go. Turns out the heater in the evaporator is bad and blew out the main board. So now both need to be replace. Spent an hour on the phone with LG. First level is outsourced overseas and customer service reps do not speak good English. They follow a script. Begged to talk to a supervisor. Waited 30 minutes for supervisor to take the call. Spoke to Neil and Willie and they did nothing. Told us they couldnt escalate higher. As long as they deem the appliance repairable we have to wait for the new parts to be delivered and then schedule another tech visit by Mr. Appliance. Absolutely NO customer service. They could care less that we have been without a refrigerator for over 3 weeks, 2 days from Thanksgiving. Its very disappointing to hear them say Life is Good and we dont want you to be inconvenienced while on hold. And then when you speak to someone, you get zero assistance or customer service. We will NEVER buy another LG product. We bought a lemon which I get sometimes happens. But the reason we wont buy from LG again is their complete lack of customer service. Totally disappointed in how we were treated.

Also showed 0 VAC when either hot lead touched to neutral (should have been 120). Circuit breaker found to be in open position and would no longer close to complete the circuit. Took cover from 240 Range connector and found both hot legs were physically melted open, forming a 3/16 inch gap between end of wiring and connector wire receivers (In English, there was such a sudden and dead short type of electrical failure that it blew the wires off of the terminals in the connector and totaled my Siemens circuit breaker). With Junk LG now disconnected, I used DMM to check for continuity of three-pronged plug while still connected to range and had one hot circuit shorted to neutral. Removed cable from stove and using DMM found no short between the wires of the cable. Range still showed short to neutral.Sent E-mail to LG and was sent a complete wiring diagram. Since this range never did show a fault code at any time I pulled back cover and PCB cover. Many locations of paint discoloration noted on back of Range including the stove light area, the two large secondary electrical connectors, and in other areas. Dont intend to play with LG on this for safety reasons. I have new Whirlpool range coming today and am about to replace 240 connector, wiring and the circuit breaker for our protection. The LG stove is going to go to a local, LG certified and personally trusted appliance repair facility. I will be asking for this unnamed store to provide my lawyer with the results of their testing and diagnosis along with defective parts. My intent is to make LG very uncomfortable for selling these dangerous devices to us as consumers.
