I purchased a new LG French door refrigerator with two bottom drawers as the freezer 2 years ago 1/6/2019 brand new. Prior to Christmas 2020, the unit quit cooling completely with a dh-f code. All the food had to be thrown out. I have contacted LG 6 times, the best they can do is late Feb to repair the unit. That is unacceptable and I will not recommend LG, they have a known track record of refrigerator problems based on my search of reviews. I have never owned a refrigerator that didn’t last at least 10 years. Shame on LG for poor products and poor customer service.

I own an LG dryer (Model: DLG5988W) just over five years now. This past summer, I noticed a noise and the felt along the rim inside the drum was coming out. I notified the service company and they ridiculously removed the felt--had to scrape glue from the unit. This took about three hours--the service person was outside in heat applying the new glue and the new felt to the drum. Keep in the mind that the entire unit needs to be taken apart to do this. When he was finished, he said that they could have ordered an entirely new drum and not have to remove and reapply the felt--but they chose to do it this way.Three months later, I noticed some markings on my clothing, sheets, blankets, and white clothing. The felt is coming out again and the noise has returned. We have contacted the service company who says that our warranty was just up about two months ago. They originally charged us approximately $300+ and now, they say that the drum needs to be replaced and it would cost about $600+.We want it replaced and the original cost be deducted, since the problem was a temporary fix. Now, they wont even return our calls. So I continue to put aside all the ruined clothing, blankets, etc. I will never ever give LG my business. I also own the frontload washer, which, by the way, smells all the time. I remember growing up and the washer and dryer lasted 15+ years. LG sucks!

Updated on 02/16/2021: My Husband and I bought a new home 4 years ago and we decided on all new LG appliances, LG Black stainless steel. We bought a LG Refrigerator, LG Microwave, LG Dishwasher and a LG Built in Oven (Double Range). So this past year we noticed Grooves on the oven Door and in the past 6 months they have started to Peel and Rust. We have started to noticed Paint chips in our food. Well, LG agreed to send out a company to see the damage and then they had the Audacity to say that I caused the damage to my own Product. I have never cleaned the oven other than the self cleaning mode. I do not even use anything other than Norwex in my Home. Its their way of sweeping it under the Rug. BLAME THE CONSUMER.Im 62 yrs old and they BLAMED ME AND MY HUSBAND to my FACE. All they had to do was change out the Door, but, yet, they didnt, instead they insulted us to our face. Would you really support such a COMPANY???? I have never in my Life been so frustrated with a Purchase that was made in good Faith. Now every time we use the oven to cook for our Kids and Grandkids, am I poisoning our Family???? We cant just go get a new oven on our Retirement, is this Company, LG, worth Purchasing From, Id be very aware in case something goes wrong with your appliance. Is it worth be stuck with a defective product as we are and no-one is there to back up your $$$$ Purchase? Give it thought before you buy LG Appliances.Original Review: I dont understand how a companys defective workmanship is under a one-year warranty, it has nothing to do with its normal use. My oven has a Monster in it, clawing to get out, I have the enamel chipping off, deep grooves that are now rusting, the oven is 4yrs old and expensive and Im unable to use it for fear of being poisoned. Please has anyone else had this issue or know of a class action in regards to the defect? I just may be the 1st. On LGs website there are others whove had this issue also. Should I contact them???? Im at a loss here.... Any Help would be appreciated.

We bought an LG gas stove LRG30355ST back in 2009-2010 and after a couple of months, the knobs started to crack in the back and falling off. Have had to pay for extended warranty to cover the cost, 106$ a knob is crazy. They just keep braking because they are made of plastic in the back instead of metal. We are on our 3rd set of knobs now.

My nightmare is about a $2000 refrigerator and about $10,000 worth of aggravation. I have a refrigerator that is eight months old and it started having a problem. We called LG and they sent somebody out here. It turns out, the compressor died and then, they fixed it. Roughly after a month, it started to buzz loud enough that if we were trying to watch TV or talking on the phone, we couldnt hear it too well. Plus, if we walked anywhere in the house, we would hear the refrigerator buzz. It was fairly loud. We lived with the buzzing for about two weeks and its a little bit like the Chinese water torture because it was very annoying but we didnt know what to do. When I called, the rep told me that if a repair guy comes to the house and he doesnt hear the buzzing, I was gonna get charged. But its not making the noise all the time. It goes to a certain cycle. The whole refrigerator resonated with the vibration of it and gets a vibration out of the fridge from the motor. So now, were in a quandary. I told the rep I didnt want to spend another $100 to have somebody come here and when hes here, its working okay and then we have to pay him. And then, it goes back to being bad again. I kept making phone calls and I figured they were in the Philippines and the reps dont speak English very well. It was very frustrating. I call and say, I have a blue horse, and they say, What color of the horse? They listen but they dont really hear me.After about 10 calls of getting nowhere with them, I got a woman over there who transferred me back to an escalation department in the United States. Also, I happened to record the sound on my phone that day and the rep heard it. She said it was the compressor. She authorized a repair person to come to the house without charging us. The repair guy came with the supervisor and they fixed that. Then, we thought we were fine but the day after the repairmen came, the refrigerator started not working well. The freezer was like 10 to 20 degrees. 24 hours is the period of time I have to give the fridge to adjust but everything is high now. Also, in the period of time they came back, I had it set for minus 6 and 33 but I get to read 0 and 40. Even at the coldest setting, it was barely acceptable within the normal range. The fluctuations were bad. I called the repair person on Friday and told them the fix wasnt working right. He told me it was just my thermometers. But I have two thermometers and theyre calibrated. I called them Monday morning and we still had the problem. I gave it the ice cream test and my ice cream melted. So I left the repairman a message but he never got back to me. Finally, I talked to Famous Tate and the regional manager instigated the callback to LG to come service the fridge. We then had an appointment on Thursday. But then, that time, it started getting cold again. I even called the repair person that Thursday and told him about it. But anyway, he came and took it apart. He said there was a leak in the evaporator. When he did the compressor, he put a dye in and when he came back, he could see that that was the problem. Hes coming back Tuesday to do the evaporator replacement. Meanwhile, the freezer is somewhat normal but the fridge part reads 40 degrees. I have it set very cold. The repairman is telling me the evaporator is bad but it doesnt jive. Also, that buzz is back but not as bad. If I push in on the doors, it stops. I can hear the motor going but that zzzz! that Im hearing is vibrating. Now, we have a refrigerator that doesnt work right and one that is making noise. Thats where were at and were very frustrated. Also, dealing with people overseas was horrific and not fun. They have something called Smart Diagnosis where I can go to the product, hold my phone up and it goes, Beep and they can get a readout of everything going on in my refrigerator, the temperature and how many times I opened the door. I wanted to get that printout from them so I could show the repair guy but I was told they were not allowed to do that. On one hand, Im unhappy about my experience with LG but they did come here to try to fix it so thats good. But this is an expensive refrigerator. If I could pay money, even if I took a hit on the refrigerator and get rid of it, I would. The product is pretty unreliable and the scary thing about this is because weve had the fluctuation in temperatures, we could eat the food and could get very sick.

We bought an LG LFX31925ST French Door refrigerator in January 2012. It has operated flawlessly. Both my wife and I have frequently commented on what a great purchase this was. We recently observed a periodic error message indicating that a freezer fan was failing. Since I dont expect anything mechanical to run forever, I was happy that the product pointed me to the likely problem with an error message. I was impressed that I was easily able to download owner and repair manuals online, and that part diagrams and the parts themselves were readily available from numerous sources. We ordered the needed part and removing the freezer drawer and replacing the back wall with new sensor and fans was a $100 repair that took 45 minutes at most.We have owned refrigerators in the past that required a new ice maker every year. Our LG ice maker is now more than 5 years old and with daily use still works perfectly. Im sold on LG products. I dont have the receipt anymore, but these are the registration details: Model Number: LFX31925ST. Serial Number: 106KREL0F452. Purchase Date: 01/12/2012.

My 14 month old 26 cu foot LG refrigerator completely died on 4/19. LG ONLY allows their service companies and THEIR parts for repair. 1st attempt at repair did not work. Now they tell me it will be 5/15 to get the needed part and sorry for my inconvenience. I spent the last 3 days on the phone with management and although I have been told theyd replace the unit, they have not. I have been told 3 times now that Id get a call back within 24 hrs and never have. They are totally giving me the runaround and flat out lies.I have been without a fridge for 14 days now... with several children. No milk, no cheese, etc. It is a nightmare. If I had known the horrible customer service issues, Id have just gone out and bought a different brand fridge weeks ago. I guess Im a sucker for believing that the company might actually want to provide a satisfactory customer experience. Not being on hold for 45 min while a recording repeatedly chimes your time is valuable to us.

I purchased this microwave on Amazon a little over 2 years ago. The plastic tabs that hold the glass in place randomly broke one day while not even in use. LG does not care because the warranty is only for 1 year. They want to sell me a replacement door for $115 for a $250 microwave. There is no way the door costs this much. I refuse to buy anything else LG.

We were very excited to purchase all LG black stainless appliances for our new kitchen which was completed at the end of Sept 2017. By the end of October, we realized the dishwasher (LDF7774BD) is just the WORST. Since this is newer technology than what we had, it was my hope that we just needed to learn how to use it. It is now end of the year and still very dissatisfied. Dishes do not come clean, nor do they dry. Wash time is the longest I have ever seen - over 2 hours for a normal wash cycle. All racks are bad design. The bottom rack comes off the track every time we use it. The adjustable racks fall down no matter how you adjust them. The top rack is supposed to be height adjustable but the only adjustment we can find is to remove the racks so that we can wash our 6.5 inch tall glasses in the glass rack. Will be contacting the retailer and LG soon to find a solution. We were very excited to purchase all LG black stainless appliances for our new kitchen which was completed at the end of Sept 2017. On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric range from Home Depot. On 7/2009, my husband instructed my oldest son to turn on the stove in preparation of us being 5 minutes away. He placed a pot on the stove on the largest eye and set the stove for 3.5 with a little grease inside the pan. My son said that as soon as he did what was instructed and sat down on the couch when he noticed immediate smoke coming from the pot. He looked inside the pan and noticed a ring of fire inside the pan that began to escalate fairly quickly and evacuated himself and my youngest daughter out of the home for their protection. Within five minutes of giving him these instructions we received a call back from him stating that the kitchen was on fire. Fire department came but the fire self-extinguished itself before they were able to take action. The fire caused 8k worth of damage with us paying a 1K deductible. It damaged the cabinets above the stove, the microwave above the stone, and the stove itself which sustained the most damage. The pot was actually not destroyed, but the stove was. The insurance company had no clue how this escalated so quickly so therefore the pot had masked the true natural cause of the fire which was the stove itself. The stove was replaced with the exact same model stove in 2009 and in 4/2014, while I was cooking on the largest eye once again with a cast iron skillet, the bottom of the skillet began to smoke from underneath set with a temperature of 3.5. I noticed the extreme heat coming from the largest eye and attempted to turn it off with no response from the stove to reduce the heat even though the stove read H5 which means a warm status. The heat was so extreme that the other eyes started to read as H5 and they werent even on. The extreme heat from the largest eye also prompted the microwave vent to come on by itself. My kids and myself started to get nervous and tried to power down the stove by turning off the circuit breaker with no response so we had to unplug the stove from the wall. We waited about 5 minutes and attempted to replug the stove and the largest eye came on immediately, flashing red several times, sending out extreme heat so we decided to keep it unplugged. I called LG the next day to find out that a recall was issued in 2012 for my model number. I was completely taken back. The recall stated The burners on the electric ranges can fail to turn off after being switched off or the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly during use, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. What else do you need? I asked why I was not notified and they said it was on TV and because I did not register the product, I didnt get notified by mail. Im a working professional mom of three, really! I cant believe they said that. They offered to repair the stove I currently have in my home and offered apologies for the fire in 2009. Is there no recourse or responsibility of the manufacturer for damages that occurred to homeowners before the recall. How can this be right. LG is claiming statute of limitations is 3 years but what about the fact that a recall was not issued until 2012. How was my insurance supposed to know that their product was defective when there was no recall in place. How is the consumer supposed to be protected in a case like this. Im not asking for the 8k that my insurance paid out but at least take responsibility for the deductible I had to pay for your fire hazardous product I placed in my home that nearly killed my kids. How can the statute of limitations be set for 3 years when the defect is not found until the recall is issued? PS: I have documentation of everything.

I bought an LG dryer 4 years ago and have already had it repaired twice. Only once was it under warranty. Now, my dryer was making large clunky sounds as it turned. I called the repair company that was used under the warranty and they came out to look at it. They found the drum to be cracked at the weld. I looked that up on the internet and found several other complaints for the same problem. Well, I immediately called customer service and talked with them. The gentleman I talked to said that he would email me the paperwork so that I could make a claim. Well, the email came in without a claim number which I needed to attach the pictures and original purchase receipt. Well, the email came without a claim number. I emailed them back and was told I needed to call customer service. Two days later, I get a phone call telling me that they wouldn’t cover the cost of a new drum because I already had it replaced. Mind you, this was two weeks after the initial call. Well, needless to say, they refused to reimburse me because I didn’t want to wait for them to send one of their repair people out to look at it so they could charge me another $80.00 just to look at it on top of the $50.00 already paid to another company to find the problem. For supposed to be top-of-the-line appliances, they are nothing but problems. I would not recommend buying any LG appliances whatsoever.

This is by far the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned and was the most expensive one! The tines constantly collapse and allow the dishes to tip over. The soap dispenser door is tricky to get closed. Sometimes it wont dispense at all. If the door does come open usually only half the soap is dispensed. It doesnt clean anything. We practically wash every dish before loading, and when you go to unload, half are still dirty. The upper rack will not hold any sized glass or cup well. They constantly tip over. This dishwasher has broke more glassware than you can imagine. The lower rack doesnt want to roll in and out without coming off the track. I hate this dishwasher.

I purchased an LG electric oven about 2 months ago. Within the first 2 weeks of my purchase, the left front and back burners just stopped working. I called Home Depot, which gave me a number to contact for repair. I explained what happened and the first repair guy came with the stainless steel cover. After waiting all day, I told him that the cover was not the problem. He also agreed he needed the motherboard. So he rescheduled with me to come back. He returned and replaced the board after about a week. About 2 weeks later, the same two burners stopped working so we called back. Again, the repairman came to the house and brought another board and replaced it. This time it worked for 3 days and the same burners arent working again. I have called LG and complained each time. They tell me the same thing - that the tech has to determine that it is not fixable. I think this is absurd that you purchased a brand new product and are expected to keep getting it fixed. I purchased plenty of LG products and wanted to keep all the same brand, but you can be sure that I will never purchase an LG product again because they dont stand behind their product. I will be contacting Better Business and if I have to get a lawyer, I will do so. This is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. If something is faulty you, should get a new one immediately without question.

I was quite happy with my LG electric (glass-top, stainless steel) range until, this weekend, the oven simply stopped working. That means no broiler, no oven, no self-cleaning. Based on my description to our authorized LG repair outfit in my city, Im told its going to cost $195 ($220 with taxes) + $120 for the repair ($138 with taxes). Thats $358 total!! After spending well over $1000 only 3 years ago for this appliance, Im infuriated.I called another company in town that repairs LGs and they said that people are lucky if they last 5 years, and that most of the time, within 2 years there are issues. She actually said that their company recommends that people keep their old ranges as long as they can. I was flabbergasted. I cant afford a new range right now so Im going to get this thing repaired, but believe me, I will never buy an LG product again. I just hope the LG dishwasher and fridge I bought will last a longer. No customer loyalty here, thats for sure.

I purchased a new LG refrigerator in June 2015 and about 3 years later it stopped working. It turns out to be a faulty compressor. Even though the compressor is warrantied for 10 years I still had to pay over $300 for repair. I thought it may have been just a fluke but exactly one year later the same thing happened again. When I contacted LG they once again expect me to pay for repairs out of pocket. It is highly unreasonable that a refrigerator would not last past 3 years and then the repaired compressor would once again failed in just a year. Am I expected to have to pay $300 a year from now on to have an operating fridge? Ive owned this fridge for well under 5 years and this should not be the case. Needless to say I will not be purchasing another LG appliance.

After spending $3,500 - before tax - on LG French door with beverage fridge and bottom freezer, 14 months later, the compression is shot. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty. But, repairman cannot get replacement compressor for at least 19 days; thats just to get the part into US. So, repairman made recommendation that a new fridge be sent to us. LG though, refuses to talk with us about if approved, when will be delivered, etc. LG says “Talk to the repairman,” and he says he doesnt know anything until 3-5 business days - until LG makes determination.Meanwhile, I have to try and feed 6 year old, 90 year old, and two adults, without a working refrigerator. More salt in the wound? Consumer Reports ranked this particular LG frig model as 2nd highest. I even researched and still got clobbered. Repair person who contracts with Sears said Samsung and LG are bad makes, regardless of what model. He recommended Whirlpool. Live and learn.

Our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer quit making ice on a Saturday or Sunday. When we realized it at 9pm on Sunday we called LG right away and that’s when the run around started. By Tuesday we had logged 8 phone calls to customer service. The representatives just read from a script and told us they had to send a work order to the repair people and it takes 3-5 business days. We tried to tell them the service people they mentioned in our city told us they wouldn’t work on LG (we’d already called) so they were wasting their time. We gave them the name of the closest service person willing to come out and even offered to pay him if LG could just reimburse us and LG refused. The service guy is standing by 30 miles away just waiting for the go ahead from LG before he heads to our house. He’s been screwed over by them before so he’s not willing to come out until he has the order in writing. This is now Friday and we’ve logged 12 calls to LG, 1 to Consumer Reports, 1 to BBB and 1 to our local consumer reporting agency. Unfortunately we purchased all new black, stainless, LG kitchen appliances when we remodeled our kitchen and if we go buy another refrigerator the color won’t exactly match the other appliances, but I think that may be our next step. My advice is to stay away from LG. They don’t stand behind their products and their customer service is terrible!

We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors
We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors in 2011. Four years in - we had trouble with the food thawing in the freezer and ice maker stopped working. A repairman through LG came out and did a repair and fixed it. As soon as the warranty was up (Jan 2016) it happened again. We were given a choice - pay $294.50 for a 1x visit and 60 days coverage of the same issue or $444.05 for 1 year warranty for any problem.Since we figured this was a big problem, we went with the $444. The repairman came again and flushed the system - started working again. 5 months later the same thing happened - he replaced the compressor. Still under warranty. Warranty expired in July 2017 - Oct 2017 the same thing happened. LG will not do anything about it because its not under warranty even though its the same problem from the beginning. Now Im faced with a non working refrigerator and a decision of paying a huge amount to get it fixed or moving on from a 6 year old refrigerator. Never will buy LG again.

The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. I
The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. It was replaced, but after that, the whole thing started falling apart. The French door shelving falls out frequently, and things hit the kitchen floor. Half of the shelves have broken off, and are not fixable. The meat and both the vegetable drawers have had the clear plastic front break out, and the rollers break off. The meat drawer casing is cracked on the top. The icemaker overflows, and ice flies across the kitchen floor. The light overheats, and the light bulb cover warped from heat, then fell off. The magnetic door seals are floppy and poorly designed, so the fridge has to be closed a special way, to keep it from beeping, and letting me know the doors are improperly closed. All of this happened in the first year. After hours and hours, on the phone with LG, for a couple of weeks, someone finally approved a temporary extension of warranty, and we had the drawer rollers, magnetic door seals, and ice maker fixed. They all broke again within a few weeks.

I recently bought all new kitchen appliances. Ive only had them 3 months. The refrigerator fan was screeching day and night. Called and scheduled a warranty repair and they were supposed to arrive between 10am - 2pm on June 16th. Called back around 3 to ask if they were still coming and was told they would see where they were at and call us back. Still waiting on that repair. Hope nothing else breaks down. The worst experience ever not including the fact that we purchased all on Black Friday and they were not in stick or delivered until mid-Feb. LG, you just lost a couple of very loyal customers.

I had chosen an LG refrigerator for many reasons. First being its energy efficiency, design and functionality. It wasnt the top of the line model but was very reliable. It had plenty of space on the door for large 2 liter bottles. It also had a lot of drawer space. Had a nice clean look. The ice maker was added luxury for me. There was nothing I disliked about the LG. It performed very well for me. Would definitely purchase another LG. They seem to stay right up with current technology.

We bought an LG refrigerator (model #795LMX2598) 2 years ago and the freezer door is already leaking air. The rubber seal on the freezer door is warped already and cool air is leaking out. We were told parts wont come for at least 2 more weeks. In the meantime, we have a freezer that cant maintain temperature and just in time for Thanksgiving! We were told that it may be hard to find parts for LG refrigerators. We may be looking elsewhere for fridge in the future.

Wow, I will never ever deal with LG again as long as I live! Worst company. We just purchased our fridge, an LG model LTC22350SS/00. Meanwhile, all of our GE appliances work fine! This fridge hasnt worked from day one. I have been on with about 20 reps from LG and have gotten nowhere until I threatened to take them to court and call my local channel 7 news. And believe me, I will. These people just want to fix the broken part and blame you for all the fridges problems. I am done. I will continue to fight until I have a brand new fridge or my money back! I will keep you posted. Junk. Junk!

The washer goes unbalanced since I bought it new. Ive called LG MULTIPLE TIMES and they have done nothing about it. They finally want to send out a repairman but per my research I have found out that the repairman will change my computer board and slow down the spin on my machine leaving my clothes wet still. This is not what I paid $700 for, its deceptive trade practice. Ive called Sears and LG both and neither is gonna stand behind their product. LG customer service is horrible and if you comment with a negative comment on their facebook page they will just remove it. If LG was a honest company they would leave THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS UNTIL THEY RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

LG wt5480cw top load washer - We bought what we thought large cap. top load not cheap washer. We have had it for a year and cannot wash hardly any load-large bedding or just towels without it having a balance problem and it stopping and refilling and trying again. The loads can take several hours if you do not stand there and keep trying to re-shift clothes. We have an extended warranty which we are sorry to have as we are close to accepting our loss and getting a standard machine as our old Kenmore never had this problem for 15 yrs. What can we do?

LG Full well knows they have compressor problems with a bunch of their refrigerators. We lost all our food & it took them two weeks to service us, it was just pathetic and we still had to pay like $500 for a problem they are fully aware of. They refused to pay me for the food lost even after wasting my time making me believe I would get reimbursed. In all my life I’ve never had a refrigerator die and I’m over 50 years old. I have met at least four people who have had LG refrigerators just stop working. Never buy LG unless you like junk.

It is finicky, hard to start, hard to remove and clean the filter. Frequently stops in the cycle, and has a top bar made of silver plastic that split at a seam. When I called for the warranty coverage, I was told 4 weeks for a repair man. It is a poor warranty (I live in a major city) and badly designed dishwasher. Stick with a more reliable brand with more accessible repair people. After 2 years, I am replacing it.

Purchased LG front load washer model WM2301HW 01/03/2011. Could not get thru cycle without repeated UE error codes, drum not spinning & water leaking all over. 2015 tech replaced board control and other parts. Now I have the exact problem as before. Machine is JUNK. This weekend had to purchase a new washer because warranties much less good customer service or products to say the very least do not mean anything to LG. Out of curiosity checked reviews for LG front load washer & what do you know... Hundreds of other innocent consumers has had to put up with the same abuse from your LG company. We need to all band together and fight the unjustified ethics of LG. Ive contacted an attorney; well see what happens. P.S... and YES the clothes & washer do stink just like LG company. To the couple of reviews who said their clothes do not smell... You had better get your smeller fixed!!

LG dryer SN 611KWBY00437, model number DLE5977S and LG washer SN 612KWFN024
LG dryer SN 611KWBY00437, model number DLE5977S and LG washer SN 612KWFN02411, model number WM2277HS/01 - We purchased this set of front loaders for obvious reasons, or so we thought. We wanted something efficient, low cost to run and something big enough to handle the capacity of clothing that 3 teenage girls throw at you and 2 teenage boys, then of course, mine and my husbands along with being able to wash a comforter for a king size bed and actually get them clean. This is not what we got with the LG front loaders at all! No matter how often we use the tub clean, the washer still stinks! Ive washed the rubber gasket inside and out thinking something is lodged in the gasket making it stink, but nope, its the tub or better yet, whats under the tub. They that claim its a buildup of soap and fabric softener, so I asked the LG representative how I could get rid of this horrible smell that wreaks through my home while washing a load of laundry and how do I get it to stop ruining my clothes. Ive had to throw away towels and clothes because the washer makes my clothes stink and the stink wont come out! She said that is not something theyre obligated to fix, which really turned my attitude from pleasant to obvious anger and asked her If anything goes wrong with your products, your obligation to fix because you damn sure arent doing a good job or there would not be so many complaints! Needless to say, my family must deal with the problems of the washer. Now for the dryer, out of the blue the dryer sounded like I put a few bags of rocks inside. It was so loud I just knew the drum of the dryer was going to explode! So, I called Sears to have them come and take a look at it and fix it. He said, I hear the noise and understand what you are talking about, but I cant find where the problem would be at. Drum belt, rollers or split drum. He felt bad about it and told me this has been a frequent, continuing problem with the LG front loaders and I know the guy felt bad because he didnt even charge me. He works for Sears and we know how they are about that $75 service call. So now, Im back on the phone with LG and they told me to do what Ive already done and that was to call Sears for repair. When I told her I already did that and went through all of that, she said if the repairman doesnt find a problem, then the dryer is fine and should be working properly. I turned it on for her and she was just so sure I put something in it for dramatic purposes! I explained to LG, a minimum of 10 calls, that the washer stinks and is ruining my clothes and that my dryer is obnoxiously loud, takes 1 hour and 39 minutes to dry clothes, which is the maximum time you can put on this particular dryer and the clothes still may be damp. She said I was probably overloading the drums. If 6 towels is overloading front loaders (washer and dryer), then the quality of LG is of very, very poor quality. With so many people having these very same complaints, LG should take pride in their customers and recall these items. When you spend $1,900 for a matching washer/dryer front loaders that claim to be efficient, but it takes over an hour to dry clothes, it doesnt sound very efficient to me. Needless to say, if anyone ever asks me about LG washers and dryers, I will not only tell them to run, but to sprint like their butt is on fire because they will be wasting their money. The washer tub stinks, which makes your clothes stink. No fix. The dryer is horribly loud, doesnt dry clothes very well at all. Finally, the belt and/or rollers on the dryer tub broke and the heating element went out. An expensive fix and a very common problem with this product. Do serious research when youre ready to purchase a new washer and dryer. No way would I ever recommend LG products.

Back in November 2006, my husband and I remodeled our kitchen. We purchased all LG products, refrigerator, dishwasher, electric range, and microwave oven. I have had issues with each appliance. The refrigerator, the ice machine broke and leaked ice water in the entire freezer section and kitchen floor. The microwave oven handle has cracked. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes, and the soap dispenser always has caked on soap residue. As of this date, I have not had an oven for over a month. The keypad panel stopped working, the wrong part arrived. I did contact LG and placed a formal complaint to the customer service representative, I have had no response. I will make sure that everyone that I come in contact with will know that LG products are not reliable and their parts are impossible to get.

They were so stubborn and did not want to take responsibility. So they had a workman come out and order basically whole new washer parts to put together. It was ridiculous. It must of cost them twice what the washer cost. When all the ones arrived a different guy came out to put it together. He realized that the problem had been when it was put together at the factory the bleach compartment wasnt hooked up right and had alowed it to seep into the metal parts of the machine. He put what he could together. It works fine now. No more rust but it is loud from having to use part that were somewhat mangled from everyone trying to figure out what the problem was. He did not need to use the outside of the machine or the new drum. I ended up taking them to a metal place to discard. Its a shame I had to fight with LG for two years when this could have been an easy fix. Now I wont purchase anything LG.

Purchase LG refrigerator in 2015, now fridge has Stop working due to failed/defective compressor. Fridge stop cooling, not working since 9.14.2020. Their customer service confirm that this problem is pre-known by LG. (Defective compressor), since they were having lots of issue with same. This compressor is under warranty. (10 years) Repair date received was 9.18.2020, with us paying for cost of repairs. However, on 9.18.2020 LGs technician further diagnosed and confirm that compressor was bad/defective, and the reason why fridge was Not cooling/working. He said that he would replace same, thus fixing the problem. We felt relief and happy; however after replacing compressor, saying he was done and we thought, Wow! Finally, this is the end, imagine our dilemma and surprise when he Casually said- Oh! the main board is NOT working and you have to pay additional charges and service fee to replace!! Plus I dont have the part- I have to come back-next week. The fridge Will Not work without it. - Panic mode set in and crying took over.We are broken!! We had beside suffering undue, stress, also suffering physical health issues, since refrigerated medications were loss-cause by this broken appliance. In addition to the loss of food, deterioration of health, mental stress, were still left with a broken fridge. After spending so much on an appliance (said to last 20 years, right?!). Speaking with LG customer service we feel that LG shows lack of concern to all our issues. HELP!! Can anyone at LG please end this suffering. Plus we now question this replacement of main board- why was this not said on initial diagnosis, before he initiated repair of compressor??Plus we are being charge for all this. Not Fair!! Not Right!! Feel abused! At this point we just wish this fridge gone, gone and LG refund our cost price. We want to get back to our normal life, Please. PLEASE!! Can anyone from LG managerial staff address this? Anyone with POSITIVE Answers/results. Is customer satisfaction a priority? (Then why are we treated this way?) HELP!! Have always been a fan of LG, but now???.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26326S) on April 28, 2016. It was delivered and installed on May 3, 2016. On July 30, 2018, it stopped working, ruining approximately $300.00 worth of food. We contacted the store of purchase (Home Depot), and were told because we did not purchase the extended warranty, we would have to pay for repairs. We then contacted LGs customer service line, and they directed us to a local LG authorized repair provider. They were going to charge $125.00 for a visit to assess the issue, and if the parts were covered by manufacturers warranty, they would charge an additional $250 for labor... If not, who knows what the charge would be. Now, I understand wear and tear and paying for repairs, but a lightly used refrigerator (mostly just my wife and I in the home), breaking down after just two years of use, seems like faulty craftsmanship. I then went on LGs website and chatted, first with a representative, then with a supervisor, both of whom seemed less interested in a quality product than with pushing their warranties (which would not be as needed with a sturdy product). The bottom line was, they are not responsible for their product breaking after only two years, and we were responsible for any repairs. After this experience, I went on consumeraffairs.com and read numerous complaints of a similar vein, $1,500 - $3,000 refrigerators breaking after only a couple of years, with no support from LG. I received no help from LG, so I contacted my local news stations consumer affairs department in hopes of bringing to light LGs poor product quality and non-existing customer service.

We bought our LG french door refrigerator from Best Buy fall of 2016 to be installed in our new home in 2017 spring. Almost 1 year to the date of moving into the house we had our first complete meltdown. All of the food was defrosted and water was all over the floor. We called LG and a technician was sent out days later. They replaced the compressor and it worked for a few months. Then it happened again. We called the same technician and they fixed it again. Now its noisy and worked until about a year after the first fix. Then it defrosted. Again same situation. This time it was 9 days before the technician arrived.By then it had spontaneously started working again so she refused to do anything. We paid over $100 for this. Now 1 month later its done again. We were told this is how its designed to work and there is nothing they can do. If this is true no one should ever buy LG. They design to cost you hundreds of dollars and dont back up their appliances. Cant wait to see how long it takes to get a technician and what they will do or not do this time. Each time we seem to have to pay more money plus we never seem to qualify for the supposed $200 in food recompense.

I use the correct detergent and amount and even periodically use the refresh tablets in the machine. I have also spent money on service calls. I bought a new LG dryer, September 24, 2020, from my local best buy. I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Fast forward to beginning of march 2021: my new dryer stopped working, gave me an error code. Because it was just over 5 months after purchase, i had to file a claim with lg. So, i call the lg warranty phone number and was told that there werent any technicians in my area that could service my dryer and they would look at third party techs. 4 months pass and finally someone comes out in June, 2021. He states that LG dryers have ongoing issues with their thermal fuses. He didnt have the right part with him and said he had to order it and would call to set an appointment when the part came in. About a week had passed and I called the technician, I was told the part was on backorder but i had a date of repair, July 17 2021. Tech showed up for the appointment and He replaced the fuse and the dryer worked again. 13 days later on July 30 2021, my dryer stopped working again and I received the same error code.I called the warranty department back and was told that they would contact me in 10 business days, as they had to look for someone to service the dryer. 10 days passed and they never called, after about a month, i called them. I was told that they were having a hard time trying to find someone to come out to fix their appliance. I asked them if they could send the last tech back out. The rep agreed and stated I would be called back. No one called. So I called again, this time I was told that my dryer was a lemon and i needed to wait for a phone call from another department, and was guaranteed i would hear from someone in 3 days. Another weeks passed and I called again, now each time I call, I am given a ticket number, I was told this time that nothing could be done. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there were none on staff, and then was told that they couldnt patch me through to someone else... After about and hour of this crap I was told the supervisor would call me back, again. No call ( surprise surprise). I keep trying to get through to someone at LG, still having no luck and its now passing the 1 year manufacturer warranty and my time is running out to have this thing fixed, again.Lg just kept giving me one shit poor excuse after another and finally i gave up when i wad told youre outside of the 12 month manufacturer warranty, theres nothing we can do, maam . So, I called Best Buy. I explained the situation and all the bs i was going through with LG and the rep told me that LG has been having a lot of issues and they would take care of me. That was September 2021. No one has come out. My dryer is still broken.I took it upon myself and contacted the original technician and asked if he could come back out to replace the fuse again. He was able to put a repair ticket in with LG because my appliance broke a few months before the 12 month warranty ended. He came out toward the end of October 2021. He checked the fuse, because the error code the dryer was showing indicated it was the fuse, again. It wasnt, the fuse was fine. Turns out, according to the tech, I need a new wire harness and maybe a new computer? He wasnt sure, so he was placing an order for both and would call with an appointment. Its now December and the technician hasnt been back, after multiple phone calls I was finally told that the parts needed were on backorder and he wasnt sure when they would be in.I called Best Buy again today and explained the situation, again, and was told when ordering parts the company has so much time to fill the order, after that date has passed we (Best Buy) consider the appliance a total loss and she was going to transfer us to another department to get it all sorted. New department said that the technician has to come out and put it in his/her notes that it can not be fixed or is not worth fixing. Then and only then can the dryer be considered a total loss, and then they will replace my dryer with a new one.. another LG. I explained, in the nicest way possible, I do not want another LG appliance. I bought this one brand new just over a year ago, Ive been able to use it maybe 6 months total. I have had nothing but issues with the dryer and the companys customer service. I have 4 children ( ages 15, 6,3 and 2),we need a working dryer. We need something reliable. I would much rather have them take this junk out of my house and refund my money. It has been called a lemon many times, not only by best buy reps but also 2 reps that work for LG. Its a massive inconvenience to have to bring laundry to a laundromat everyday to have it dried.. I get 27 minutes of drying time for $1.50. Because I am potty training 2 toddlers, have 2 in school and my partner is an ironworker, we do a lot of wash. I spend between $10 and $15 every 2 days at the laundromat and about $20-$30 a week in gas to go back and forth to the laundromat. Thats A LOT of money to be dishing out because LG doesnt stand by their products. Money that could have gone on a couple new appliances, bills etc. She, the CSR, said she was transferring me to the lemon claims department. The man I spoke to basically told me that unless i file a civil claim against the company and a technician says that I have a faulty dryer, the only thing they ( best buy) can do is replace my dryer with a used LG dryer of comparable value. Which this dryer now isnt worth a damn thing. I am so annoyed with LG. Im annoyed at the fact that i spent almost a grand on something that LG says would last 10-15 YEARS. it didnt even last 6 months! Now i have to waste more time on monday calling LG, best buy and the technician and ask them to email or snail mail me all the paperwork and notes for the last year, so i can bring it all to my attorney. I have had enough of that company and their appliances. I will never purchase another product with the LG logo.

We purchased LG French Door refrigerator 2012. Every year we have had service. I keep paying a fortune for the extended warranty increasing the cost to over $3000.00 now. Now the compressor went last Monday, and a week later, they cannot even tell me when the part will be in, it is on back order. I explained to several people that this is our only refrigerator. We lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator with the exception of some items that fit in our outdoor camp size refrigerator. We have been buying ice, for the cooler to keep milk in the house. Today they still cannot give me an ETA on the part. This is offensive, that you pay good money to purchase the product, good money to insure the product, and then you wait and I was told it take weeks. No loaner, no replacement. I have also paid and had same company out to replace ice maker. Its a defect in the model, we got a recall card months ago, but heard nothing else. Recently new situation, (now out of warranty) glass shelf over drawers, literally blew apart in a million pieces. Well we must have called them a hundred times by now. On New Year’s Day we opened the fridge and the cream for coffee was warm. I opened the freezer compartment with all the expensive foodstuffs for holiday entertaining was thawed so all of the fridge items and the expensive food had to be thrown out. We called the service dept. for we had 5 year extended warranty on January 2, 2015 and it took almost 6 days for the service man to arrive. He told us that the motherboard had fried the compressor - we have been waiting for parts to come and it is FEBRUARY the 2nd and they might come this Friday if we are lucky. Sears says feel my pain - I havent had a fridge since New Years Day!!!! I am diabetic and need a fridge for veg., etc. for eating out is so unhealthy! I will never set foot in a Sears store again and I will tell everyone about this experience!! I have always used Sears for my appliances and have sent others to them. Have I looked into the future and found appliance buying a scary thing?!

Amazingly bad service with what is supposed to be a great appliance company
Amazingly bad service with what is supposed to be a great appliance company. My 6 year old French Door refrigerator wont dispense water. I performed all the troubleshooting by the book and via a text message from LG. Sat on the phone for 20 minutes waiting to speak to a live person after being told every minute that someone would be with me in four minutes. When the person came on the phone she knew nothing about the appliance side of the business. She took my zip code and put me back on hold to find me a service company. After a few minutes on hold, she came back and gave me four companies, one I had already called and they told me they do not repair LG because parts are too difficult to get. I called the other three. Spoke to one, has not repaired LG for two years because of parts issues. The other two called me back this morning. One will not come to my area and the other is too busy and too short staffed to service in my area. I live in Newark, DE!!! I cant believe the unacceptable level of service and uncaring responses I am getting from this company and its service network. Maybe it is time for a change.

I purchased an LG front load washer and dryer from Leons in Bancroft Ontario 5 years and 8 months ago. Shortly after we bought it, we noticed that our laundry was coming out with a sewage smell on it. We used the tub clean cycle as often as possible but it didnt really help. We also started to leave the door open which helped somewhat but the odor never really went away. On one occasion, I found that the machine had dumped suds on the floor. Last week I washed a load of towels and during the cycle, smoke started coming out of the drum area. I called Leons in Bancroft who referred me to a local service man as the machine was out of warranty. The service man said he would look a the machine but if it needed parts he couldnt help me as LG would not supply him with parts or tech support.I emailed LG who replied that they only supply parts to authorized service agencies. The one for my area was 60 kilometers away. LG stated that they would do a 1 time courtesy repair. I asked if they would also address the sewage stink issue as well. I was advised to add powdered detergent to the washer and cycle it to remove residue. I was also advised to mix up a solution of bleach and water and wipe down the gasket and dry it after each use! I also asked about what would happen the next time the machine started to smoke. I imagine that I would have to call the service agent who is 60 kilometers away and pay time and mileage as well as the service time. As far as I am concerned, where theres smoke theres fire and I dont trust this faulty machine to be in my house. It is now in my back yard and I purchased a top loading machine (not LG). I will not be buying any of their products in the future.

My LG refrigerator went out after 1.5 years. Got it from Home Depot Evansville Indiana. Called them first. They gave me the LG number. Called LG. They gave me a case number and approval number?? for no charge to fix its parts. Repairman they sent just looked at the model and serial numbers and said these cant be fix. He said LG has a lawsuit against them because they cant be repaired. He left and was to call us back. No call ever came from him. Called LG back. Told Richard (same person I spoke with the first time). He again said as before no repair person in our local area. He will notify their scheduling department again. Would take 1 to 2 days to get back with us. Still No Call Back. NEVER BUY LG PRODUCTS. Attorney time!!!

Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. Ill never buy an LG product, regardless of the price. Never again.

Buyer Beware: We purchased an LG over the stove 2.0 Microwave middle of Nov 2019. After installation I turned the surface light of the microwave on. When I went back to put a dish in the microwave I found it to be extremely hot inside. We had not used the microwave nor the stove below to generate such heat. We turned off the surface light & checked the interior of the microwave it had cooled down. We then put a thermometer inside the microwave & turned the surface light back on to check if the light itself created the heat. In less than 1/2 hr the interior of the microwave heated to 117 F degrees. When we turned off the light the microwave was cool. We then called LG to alert them to our experience. The rep first hinted that it could be an electrical problem with our home. I explained our kitchen had been recently updated including all the electrical which was inspected by our local county inspector. They then sent a service tech out to examine the microwave. LG technical support told the service tech not to touch the microwave. They issued us a Claim number & an internal Bulletin about the problem. The tech told us we had to replace the light bulb ourselves despite it being new & under warranty. My husband is an electrician as well his friend who is a master electrician. They both researched the model. LG changed from the earlier model a 30 WATT incandescent light bulb to a 50 WATT Halogen light bulb in the same lighting compartment & model. The hole for the 30 WATT incandescent light bulb is still in the compartment & next to it is the newly added 50 WATT Halogen light bulb. IT sits just below the microwave box with absolutely NO VENTILATION. We were advised to notify our States Attorneys Office as well the BBB. We alerted the store we purchased it from to check the models they have on the floor & beware of the problem. Had we just turned on the surface light & left our home I cant imagine the outcome. If youre seeking to purchase a new LG microwave first check what type of surface light bulb the microwave is equipped with before you purchase it. LG obviously has no solution or will back their warranty on a less than one month old microwave.

Our refrigerator (model # LMXS30776S) is just over 3 1/2 years old, and this will now be the 7th time we’ve had it fail. Just last month, we had to have the ice maker replaced because of a leak. Five months ago, the evaporator, drier and ice maker assemblies were replaced as it was not cooling. The year before that we had to have the compressor and evaporator replaced along with a repair to the ice maker, losing a vast majority of our food in the process. Now, not only is the ice maker not working, but the fridge won’t cool below 52 degrees. Based on all of the complaints and class action lawsuits that have surfaced, this is a widespread problem that needs to be remedied. History would suggest that we will be in the same position in another 6 months down the road. LG needs to be held liable for the damages caused to their customers.

The refrigerator’s water to ice maker cracked and flooded the kitchen. They dont make replacements because “they dont break”. The shelves are flimsy and cracks easily. The dishwasher’s motherboard fried after 1 year, and they refused any compensation.

I have purchased the dual front load washer (WM3470HVA) and dryer (DLGX3471V) on Oct 24/13. This past February the extended warranty expired. Did not get my 400.00 gift card. After the warranty ran out my washer does not turn on. Had to google the problem many others are having. Need to unplug the machine, hold the buttons, then plug back in. The lettering on my washer and dryer started wearing off after couple of months. Called Sears. They do not cover that under warranty. Last night I called LG support, the person that answered my call did not know English too well and he did not know much about the products. His conversation was um, um, um. Poor customer service. This was the first time I purchased a LG and it will be my last. I have had Kenmore appliances for over 15 yrs never a problem or repair. Hoping in finding a solution for the lettering on my control panel. I will never recommend LG products to family and friends, very bad choice. In future it is best to check reviews before purchasing any products. Lesson learned!

LG DLEC855R dryer - front loading - freestanding - 24 - wild cherry red stopped working all of sudden. Called LG service department to schedule an appointment for repair. They said $125 to come in to give estimate. The technician showed up, did nothing and gave an estimate of $1528 plus tax. He wrote down on paper and excuse me if I am spelling wrong. Tub assembly beaming $856.00. PCB/Main - $422.00. Labor - $250.00. Total cost with tax is $1628.00. I should have trusted the reviews and purchased new dryer rather setting up the appointment to lose $125.00. Luckily I realized after seeing the reviews and didnt go for service. I am purchasing new dryer with cost of $750.00 which includes tax, delivery and installation. The bottom line is dont buy LG products and no local service company will fix it either. I purchased the LG HE top loader (machine # WT 4801CW) in December 2011. It has never effectively cleaned a single load of clothes. Shirts come out of the wash still smelling of perfume/cologne; sheets come out with large dry spots where they never got wet. Washing in cold or hot water does not matter, nor does setting the washer on the highest level for soil and the extra high level of spin speed. I do not use a clothes dryer, so I use fabric softener but the clothes are so wrinkled even if I remove them the instant the cycle stops that every single item would need to be ironed. Even when washing very small loads (one pair jeans, 2 shirts, 2 pairs socks) there are dry spots on the clothes until the final rinse cycle, so they are obviously not getting clean. This machine will not remove any stain at all, no matter how minor. It also takes over 60 minutes to wash one load and has increased the number of loads I do a week despite having a much larger capacity than my previous washer. Luckily, when we bought it at Best Buy, they provided a 30-day return policy. My new washer will arrive this weekend. Im back to a front load Frigidaire, which is what I had before. I never had a single complaint about that machine. It lasted 18 years and never had a single service call, cleaned every single thing we ever put in it, and was very inexpensive to operate as well as having a much more reasonable price than anything else we saw on the market.

Bad product. They try to keep repairing to our detriment. 5th issue with fridge in 5 months all recorded thrugh LG Service. Started May 2019, not cooling. Called LG. Arranged repair (took 4 weeks, try keeping family of 6 with no fridge for a month!). Replace coolant, tested. 3 days later - same issue. Call LG. Arrange for repair (another 3-4 weeks). Apparently wanted leak tested properly and lost coolant. They needed to order repair part to rebuild the coolant system in my kitchen (another 4-6 weeks for parts). Repaired. Next day display on front showed error, turned out repairman forgot to plug a cable in. Few months later, not cooling....want to send another repair (different company than first 4 times!!). Matthew in Executive Service (very poorly trained at customer service)! I just want to get rid of this headache and am being told I need a receipt (from 5 years ago??) to initiate the refund. Please help!

lmx28988st Refrigerator w/ French Door and two drawer freezer. Two significant issues with major functions!1. Loss use of Freezer! Freezer drawer design is low quality and not durable. Details: Plastic cogs on the drawer track are frail and shear teeth easy. The stack up of the cogs on the rails have excessive tolerance. This combination causes the drawer to easily hop off track and excessive ice build up on door seal and door will not shut. Corrective action: Align better quality cogs with the rails to prevent future door alignment issues. Home band aid: Unplug, defrost freezer, take door off to assist in realignment.2. Loss use of Ice Bin! Ice bin feed components poor assembly quality. Details: The claw components that feed and crush ice have a set screw that will come loose due to low torque and ineffective thread lock substance. This causes the assembly to simply fall apart and render the ice bin useless until repair. Corrective action: Identify the optimal torque and thread lock substance to prevent screw from backing out. Another option would be to capture the assembly so that the screw can not back out from the crusher assembly. Home band aid: If you are able to find all parts, youtube has a few videos that can help with reassembly. Clean the threads of the screw and apply Blue Loctite to prevent from falling out again.

I purchased an LG washer in Sept. ‘09. On June 13, 2013, I attempted to wash a medium size load. But when I went to put the wash into the dryer, the washer was flashing OE. I checked the manual and did as instructed. The drain hose was not bent, pinched or clogged. I clean the filter. Finally had to call for service and was told the motor assembly A/C pump needed replacing. This machine in not 4 years old. Guess thats why the warranty was for only 1 year on all the smaller parts. Initially, I had a pretty old top loader washing machine 16 years old (NOT LG) and it worked perfectly - actually loved it and all of my clothes came out clean and perfect! My husband thought hed surprise me with a VERY EXPENSIVE, brand new $2,500 LG front loader washing machine and dryer from Best Buy. I didnt even want it because our older set was fantastic! In any case, heres where all of the problems started. I should sue LG just for all the fights and yelling I did to my husband (ha ha) for this piece of CRA-!!! Now all of the problems. Immediately, everything smelled like mold, especially the towels (even though, we did the bleach wash as suggested and left the doors opened), SO MANY RUINED CLOTHES (almost every day our clothes got holes and rips) - I threw away about 5 pieces of clothing a week & it actually became a joke of everyday showing and telling my husband about another item I have to throw out because of the stupid washing machine. Also, even though, I dont use bleach when I wash, the lame bleach cleaning cycles later ended up leaving horrible bleach marks on our clothes. We owned the LG washing machine and dryer for about 1 year and I left it when we moved to our new home, my headaches are now over. Now I have a very old top loader washing machine (NOT LG) and my clothes get clean, no more holes, stains or moldy smells - I love it! Also, no more yelling at my husband :o))) Side note: We also had a LG flat screen TV that we purchased from Costco - it completely died after a few years. LG Microwave Mod# LMC0975ST/01. This microwave came with a very user friendly owners manual, that I like. Unlike my other microwaves this one has a hexagon rotating ring with six wheels for the glass tray to sit on. Plus the glass tray has glass bump outs on the bottom that fit into a bump out shaft on the microwave bottom. No more dislocated dishes falling or sliding off. This microwave has performed better than I expected and I have enjoyed using it from day one. It has all the usual programs like, Smart diagnosis, Auto cook, Auto reheat, Popcorn, Defrost, Power level, Cook time, Stop/clear, Start/enter, interrupted cooking. There is a beautiful sleek smoke glass full front panel that will match any decor. I found the tip section on what to use, or not to use, when it comes to microwave-safe cookware very useful. There is also a Child Lock safety feature, and the sound signals are very audible on this microwave. There is a clock, Kitchen timer and a easy to use, slide touch timer. Dont forget to read the maintenance section. I found it very helpful. Limited warranty for Canada or the USA, is provided at the back and there is also a 1-800 number plus their website.

I bought this machine in March, 2016. I got a 10 year warranty and that was a selling point. Ive followed the manual to the T. I clean the water filters, tub clean every month, etc. So I am doing my due diligence. However, since the day I got it it hasnt done a load the same way twice no matter the setting. It doesnt use enough water and ruins clothing. I have a very bad back so I had to put a short hose to connect to my slop sink because it was taking a toll on my arthritis. It cannot even begin to do a heavy duty load! I always have to add more water to every single load so that nothing gets ruined. My old machine was 20 years old and did an incredible job compared to this piece of junk. I bought rubber foot holders to make sure it didnt move around which did work but the machine itself is useless. My husband has to wear fire retardant clothing to work, which is extremely expensive, and even when I add water it continues to destroy these from clothes faster than Ive ever seen a washer abuse clothing. The load sensor is useless. Its just there for bells and whistles. There is supposed be an app to tag on to the machine to do smart diagnosis. There is no such app available anywhere. But it says there is and gives step by step instructions on how to do it which takes up more pages in the manual than anything else in there. But its just filler to make it look good. This was a selling point I liked too, but as I said, its non-existent. Ive tried contacting them a few times but I dont get any response. None. I need to either get them to replace this with something that actually works or return my money. I should have bought the Samsung like was going to initially. Every time I try to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle it fills the tub to the very top and Im always afraid its going to overflow. Even if its not a big load it fills to the top. Now, this is supposed to be a high efficiency machine but I hardly call that efficient at all. I need something that works. On top of it all, I bought at H.H. Gregg near me which isnt even there anymore and I refuse to let them come look at it just to tell me I need a new main board, which seems to be the reason for everyones problems, according to all the reviews Ive read. LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH THIS MACHINE! I need real help here. If anyone can suggest something positive that might get me a new machine that actually works, Im all ears.

Didnt buy an extended warranty because all my old refrigerators have ran for 12 years plus. And LG claims life is good. Well life is not good when your 2 year old refrigerator takes a dump and you just cant have anyone come and repair your refrigerator because LG only sell replacement parts to LG certified technicians. Their list of certified technicians is very limited and have horrible reviews in yelp. This is my first LG appliance and it will be my last.

I love my LG Inverter Linear refrigerator that I bought last year. But yesterday, I went to fill a glass with the water dispenser, and it wouldnt SHUT OFF! I had water everywhere. I had to lock the system and now the dispensing light wont turn off. Im disappointed that this has happened when the refrigerator isnt even a year old. Im hoping this isnt going to be a problemed appliance.

The thermistor of my 3 years and 9-month old LG LFC25770st stainless, french door, $1799 fridge overheated and died. LG no longer makes this defective part. So instead of a $150 to repair, I will need $1100 to replace. I only need to spend $1100 to replace since they are generously pro-rating my fridge at $700. Did I also mention my matching LG stainless microwave died after less than three years? All my non-LG appliances that I got at the same time are still working fine, and so is the $37 countertop microwave we have been using as a replacement for the last year. Stay away from LG products.

I purchased the WT5101HW washing machine in September 2011. Within the first few months the door would not latch shut to operate. Fixed under warranty. Then there was the recall for extreme shaking. February 2015 the drain pump needed replacement to the tune of $350 for parts and labor. Now in March 2016 the machine refuses to balance, even when empty. Balanced loads have been a nightmare since the beginning and have gotten progressively worse. My machine goes off balance on every single load whether it is small, large or normal. Today is the final straw as it will not complete the spin cycle, even empty, to fully drain the machine. It just keeps dumping more water in to redistribute the load (even though the machine is currently empty). Its going to the curb and Im going back to Maytag. I will never buy an LG washing machine again.

We have been using our new LG dishwasher approximately four weeks so I have actually turned it on about 5 times. Went to use it today and door would not close. When I did get it closed I could not open it. It was stuck. Husband finally got it open. Latch is defective. So when repairman comes Wednesday to fix my leaking (new) LG fridge guess he’ll be repairing a dishwasher also.

I just looked up LG on Google to get company information because the lights on my french door LG purchased in 2006 melted the covering. After reading other complaints, I feel that my time may be wasted with calling the company, but will do so anyway. It appears with all these complaints, that LG may be a product I will stay away from in future. One of the plastic drawers broke early on but the light problem bothers me.

On December 8, 2011, I purchased an LG refrigerator (GRB652YLS). At the level of the refrigerator exposed showroom appears straight, very stable, no problems. When I received my home in Debal, on the floor it was my surprise: the refrigerator is very tilted back. It is not perpendicular to the ground. I have a very flat ground. At the store I bought and even at the direction of Algiers, I was told that their refrigerators are celquand; as you open the door it should be maintained with a chair to get out food or the reverse. It is equipped with front feet but no use. LG should withdraw these feet to save on the cost price of the product. I am not satisfied.

Updated on 01/03/2020: This is an update to my review from 12/26/2019. LG responded asking for my model # phone number etc and they would get in touch with me. They did, and told me the repairs would be covered. Great, I thought. Unfortunately the LG certified repair tech verified the parts are still not available to repair my fridge and they do not make the parts so there is no way he can repair my fridge. I have now been without a fridge for over a month without LG standing behind their 10 year compressor warranty. I have now spoken with over 8 different people in 3 different departments and nobody in LG customer service knows how to proceed.Original Review: The compressor went out on my LG French door refrigerator. LG sent a tech to fix it, and the tech stated LG no longer makes the parts for my unit even though the compressor is still under the 10 year warranty. I have spent 3 weeks without a fridge and about 6 phone calls with LG and they are not standing behind their compressor warranty. Im not sure how JD power rated LG so high with their know issues of failing compressors.

LG was nice enough to replace the exterior of our appliances upon the finish was chipping off. But 10 mins after the repair person for the refrigerator left, the unit report an error code and the Ice & Water dispenser stopped working. I immediately called LG and they stated someone will call me within 24-48 hrs to schedule repair, this was on Friday afternoon. I called LG on Tuesday, stating I have not gotten a call back - they stated it hasnt been the full 24-48 hrs yet. So, I called again on Wednesday and they were surprised I didnt get a call and told me I show call someone else, at which point I asked to speak to supervisor and they transferred me to the Executive Customer Service... Spoke with that person and they basically stated its 3-5 business days to receive a call... I stated, But that not what I was told and this is because your person broke my refrigerator... shouldnt you expedite it since you caused the problem. Essential I got nowhere with this person. I sent an email that day Wed. 12/11/2019 to Head of Support and CEO... never heard a response from my email - so LG basically doesnt care.

Knobs replaced every 3 years @ my expense. In other words Im constantly paying out of pocket. Had I known that the knobs are constructed of heavy foil I would have NEVER bought this range. This is a constant payout for me. This product is a total rip off.

Extra cold crisper takes 15 min to get drinks cold. Everything stays fresh long. Insta view and door to door. You will be very happy with your selection of LG fridges. I would improve the fridge to a more standard size fridge for easy apartment removable, refrigerator is beautiful, elegant, and organized and you can enjoy a nice cold beer or soda after installation. It has a lot of electronic stuff on it that is very use. Refrigerator is worth the price. Its slick design and advanced features far exceeds any other product comparison. Im a LG signature customer full in keeping everything cold. Only owned an LG.

Lrg3095st. Have almost all our appliances, washer/dryer and TVs LG and they have been very high quality and very reliable. However this range has been a exception. Had several service call for melting knobs and temperature control and latch adjustment. Now it is a little over 5 years old, the front oven door is starting to rust through. LG says this is pretty much normal and they will not make good for their problem so I suggest that you stay away from their stainless steel ranges until they fix their manufacturing problems.

I bought this washer to replace a 20yr old Kenmore when I moved to my new house. Large loads, blankets etc I was told it would work for all. Within a year there was a recall because it became unbalanced. I had that fixed. Every time I do a large or heavy item this machine goes off balance. It does not stop but goes over and over again from the beginning, wasting water and electricity. In other words I have to do multiple loads and/or stay in the house checking on the machine to be sure it doesnt go into this wasteful cycle. I will never buy a LG product again and in only 3 yrs I am looking to replace this one.

I have raised a complaint on my recently bought LG washing machine direct drive on 24th December. LG service had come on 26th and said the panel has to be replaced and they have to get the panel from Cochin. Next day I called them due to lack of response and they said it has to arrive from Noida. Today we called and they said that part is no longer available. I trusted LG and purchased this product. Now I regret it. I suggest if LG has no commitment at making quality products then give me a temporary washing machine until the repair is over. I had a useless customer care experience. Only fake promises and nothing else. I have had same experiences with LG Refrigerator and Microwave oven which too have repair issues. I quit LG.

Stay away. Two years ago I bought an LG french door fridge. A week after we had it ice started to build up on the walls. We had someone out to repair it. Now it barely makes any ice. The other day it stopped cooling and we lost all our food. When we called LG they were very rude to us and did not want to help us. Now I have to buy a new one. I certainly will not buy another LG.

LG service technician came to fix our fridge 20-25 min earlier than the 2-hour appointment window started. I said we will be there by the time the window starts (2pm). He said he may wait. I said he needs to wait because I am leaving my work because of this. When I am driving on my home road (30 seconds from home), he drives past me. It is now 2:00pm. So he left before or exactly at 2:00pm and did not bother to call me. I struggled to get my phone and call him to get back. The time is now 2:01pm. He refused to turn back. His name is Scott and he is employed by LG.

We purchased this LG LMV2031JT microwave along with LG fridge, convection stove, dishwasher around June 2015 as part of a complete kitchen remodel. (sound familiar?) The microwave now wont finish cooking a tv dinner. It will warm something up short duration but after about 3 minutes it just wont heat anymore. Place where we bought it said it might be cheaper to just replace it. :( Wow, bought LG because of supposed quality. LG says to call a service company to repair or buy their additional warranty. I bought it because it should be a quality product, not needing an extended warranty!!! Gal I talked to was nice but foreign. Now I will probably have 3 LG products and an off brand microwave as I will not ever buy another LG product. What a joke.
