The inside drum of the washing machine starts hitting the body of the machine when rotating at high speed. The noise created is like very horrible. Also the customer care doesnt register the complaint. They provide useless solutions. Neither do they send any technician.

I am buyer of fht1409zwl model, paid 38k INR. Biggest drawback is washing quality. (Reviewing after 15 day use) When I compare with my old top load washing machine it not even near by it. Second drum size for 9 kg are same as 7 and 8 kg. When I ask same thing from their representative they say their inner motor is differ, motherboard is different. Practically you cant put 9 kg cloths in one run. Waste of money for 9 kg. I am not writing this because of 7, 8 and 9 kg drum issues, but due to washing quality. I use other products of LG. They are extremely good, but not in case of WM. I dont need this product anymore. I love to use old one. BTW I am using other LG product like TV, refrigerator and they are working awesome. Not posting because of any hate feeling but my genuine problem.

My very nice LG (big freezer on the bottom) has a computer that lasted 5 1/2 years and Ive been told that thats pretty good for an LG. The service people (two different companies) hate to work on this brand because of the difficulties in understanding the pamphlets/instruction on how to fix them. The two companies I called for help each asked me some pertinent information about my problem and after answering them, both told me the same thing.... The motherboard has died, just like that. I had really liked the fridge until it simply stopped working, even though over the years it made some strange noises and I had trouble with the automatic ice maker. I love the size of the freezer and the fact that its on the bottom. But none of that helps when the thing decides to quit. My problem is that this one replaced (in Feb 2009) a Coldspot that we purchased in 1977!!!! Really! Yes, we had to put in a new compressor in 1991, but what service that thing gave over the years!! To find a silver lining, I guess I have to look at it from the viewpoint that the cost of the LG ($1200) came to spending a little more than $200 a year for its service, which is small enough. Next time I buy a fridge, Ill stick to the old standby names!!

The refrigerator was ordered at Home Depot. I was contacted by LG directly that the product was on backorder and that they would not meet the delivery time frame. Two weeks later they called again to state that the specific refrigerator that I ordered was not available and discontinued. The offered a different refrigerator that did not meet the size specifications that were most important to me. When I stated the three specs that were mandatory to me - they basically said - This is what we can offer and thats it. They did not offer any other options. POOR customer service and even though they upgraded with one option that I did NOT want (wi-fi) the size is smaller, the product is disappointing. The refrigerator will either freeze produce or it turns to rubber. It does not maintain the quality of refrigerated products. I will not order another LG product as a result. The filter also only lasts 4 months - before having to be replaced. Freezer items get frostburn and ruins the quality of the product.

Bought new LG electric range in 2016. Installed summer of 2017. Stopped working November 4 2017. Called LG. Under warranty. Took 2 weeks to get a service person out. He said it was the control board and ordered parts. Parts took 2 weeks to come in. Service person said they would install on Nov. 30. December 8- still my stove is not working. Called LG. They said sorry we have to wait for the repairperson to do their job. Give it 3 more days. Beyond frustrated-it is impossible and expensive to feed my family of 6 without a functioning oven. Additionally LG said they had escalated my case and then closed it without actually talking to me. Incredibly poor customer service. I will never buy another LG appliance. Unfortunately my house is currently full of them. Hope they keep working.

We were building a new house and were looking for appliance packages. We really liked the appliance package and LG refrigerator because it had this cute little window in the door. It was a good price as well, and we liked the refrigerators features. The little window in the door is my favorite. The refrigerator has French doors and I can open just that part, like a little window door, of the top door and keep stuff in there. We had some issues, though, with the water dispenser on the front of it. The repairman called it a continuous water feature. It wouldn’t shut off when you press your water on it. It kept going on with water or ice until you locked it. So we had to have it repaired probably within the first month we had the refrigerator. But since then, it has worked fine. I’m pretty happy with my LG refrigerator.

I purchased double stacked LG washer/dryer in January 2010. In February 2012, the washer motor broke and LG placed it. In December 2012, the motor broke again! I called LG and they said I would have to pay for a technician to look at the washer. Ive had this washer for 2 years and the motor broke down two times. I have to pay to get the washer fixed! My previous Westinghouse washer-dryer I had for over 15 years and not one service call, not one problem in all 15 years. Im so mad at LG and Im insisting that they replace the washer. Not sure if you can offer any advice, but I really want to get a lawyer and go after LG. Thanks for your time.

Dont do it!!! Do not invest in a LG Front Loader Washing Machine!! It is the worst washing machine, the most I have ever paid for a washing machine I have ever owned. Here you go: 1) There is a terribly designed trap door at the bottom left where you are supposed to a) clean your filter and b) drain your tub out if pump breaks or any other problem with water remaining in tub. Well, if the tub gets full of water and doesnt drain out, the tube doesnt work and you open the lint cleaner and water goes all over your floor. It is horrible. I really hate this washing machine. Now it is 2 years old and the WATER PUMP had to be changed out. OMG, what a disaster of an investment. Please listen to me: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WASHING MACHINE.

I agree with the majority of the people regarding LG fridge. I purchased an expensive counter depth fridge 5 years and 7 months ago and it completely broke down. Not the compressor but a leakage within the wall of the fridge so it cannot be repaired. I paid $125 to the LG technician to come and inspect to tell me that it cannot be repaired and that I should get a new fridge. The technician also let me know that the leakage was a manufacturing issue not wear and tear. I am aware of the LG settlement and was shy of 7 months to claim anything. LG refuses to do anything about it. So basically all their products are useless. I will never purchase another LG product and will make sure that everyone I know do the same. Worse service and company. They knew about the defects but did nothing. Where is the accountability???

We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.

Was the best deal available at the time and was highly recommended by salesman. Love the brand and would buy again as it has many features you dont necessarily get elsewhere. Highly reliable products. I like the ice maker and filtered water system. Also like that I can move the shelves around to maximize and customize the space in the refrigerator. I also like the meat drawer and produce drawers. They are spacious enough to hold adequate products. But the freezer is too small, would like less shelving etc to give more space; maybe move the freezer to the bottom instead of side by side if it could be configured correctly and I could see and retrieve product easily.

I didnt purchase the extended warranty because I figured it should last for more than 2 yrs, you would have thought! I spent 800.00 dollars on a machine I thought would last me. Im not made of money so my hard earned money was thrown in the wind. NOW after over 2 weeks of waiting on it to be fixed, THE PART THEY SENT WAS WRONG!!! So now I get to wait again. I WILL NOT recommend this company or Best Buy to anyone. I have called LG and complained many times. The only thing I got out of it was this time they gave me an APM#. I want a new washer. We purchased a four unit package. Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove. The other units are great but the ovens (both top and bottom) fluctuate so much in temperatures that it takes fifteen/twenty minutes longer to bake anything and then it comes out dry and hard. A service technician replaced the control board but failed to check if it fixed the problem. I purchased a digital oven temperature probe to check it myself. It overshoots the temperature by ten to fifteen degrees and then drops fifteen to twenty degrees before it kicks back on. This cycle continued for over two hours until I finally gave up in disgust.

I like the freezer, fridge, multiple shelves, the shelves slide out to be cleaned and so do the drawers. There are four drawers including a cheese drawer specifically. I would put an ice maker in it. Also I would put a smart system into it to tell you when youve left the fridge open or tell you when its not working correctly and I would include freezer trays with purchase and water filter along with a digital thermostat. This fridge is amazing and meets all my needs and or wants but if I had to choose one additional brand over LG itd be Samsung for sure.

I purchased my LG Range in the hopes LG products would live up to the hype! In fact I bought all LG appliances. To my disappointment only the washer and dryer have lived up to my expectations. Anyways on to the range. My range was purchase in 2009 and the knobs became loose and wobbly by 2011. However, I kept using them until they completely broke off. After speaking with customer service and explaining the defect they reluctantly sent me out a brand new supposedly updated model of the knobs with the defect fix... WRONG!Fast forward to 2016 present day my knobs are loose, wobbly, and a couple have broken off. I called customer service and they tell me because they already sent out the updated knobs in 2014 they could no longer replace them. I explained it was a manufacturers defect and the knobs they sent out were the same defective knobs. The rep transferred me to Executive Services Corporate Office where I spoke to Jewel. She was very rude and short with me, continually stating Its our policy that we cant send out any more knobs and gave me the parts ordering department so I could pay for a set myself. She even went as far to blame me for the broken knobs saying that maybe I was using the oven wrong and she doesnt live in my house so she cant verify that Im telling the truth that the knobs are defective. She was cold and had no interest in hearing my side of the story. Basically she told me I need to eat the $150 cost of replacing the knobs every two years! Which clearly exceeds the cost of the range! She even hung up on me because I asked her questions she refused to answer because she knew it would expose LG as a fraudulent company that doesnt stand behind their product. I called back and spoke with Erica who was very nice and said she would forward the complaint. For now it looks like Ill have to eat the cost of the new set and repair the factory defect with a fix I found on YouTube which involves fitting a brass tube over the knob post. I hope we can win this battle against LG! Clearly the knob design is very poor engineering on LGs part or just too cheap to use aluminium instead of chrome plated plastic!

Buyer Beware!! I cannot give even one star to this product, but the review requires I select one. Purchased a $2200 LG French Door refrigerator from Home Depot on 9/13/2016. Purchased an additional 3 year extended warranty as well. On 10/27/2019, my ice maker wasnt making ice. Reset the ice maker but to no avail. Freezer food began to thaw and refrigerator temperature began to rise. After multiple calls to LG, I was given two names of authorized repair centers. One doesnt service my area. The other came after 3 days, opened back of fridge and confirmed the compressor issue and closed it back up stating they wont do warranty work on LG compressors and if I found someone to do it, my cost could be very expensive. He stated that the Linear compressors are a piece of junk and if repaired, I may get one year if Im lucky. Told me to take it out back and burn it. He stated LG makes inferior products and to steer clear. Now Im out $2200 and looking for another refrigerator. I know Im walking past any LG product. There is a class action lawsuit regarding the defective compressors.

I purchased the GE LG microwave because of the high ratings given to it by consumer reporting agencies. I paid over $300 for a microwave that began to have operating problems soon after it was purchased. Several times, I unplugged and rebooted the machine and it would work fine for awhile. Finally, one month before the one year warranty expired, an F-3 sign and sound told me that something was wrong with the microwave. I bought an LG refrigerator from Sears in May 2015. In June 2019, my freezer stopped making ice. Long story short: an LG technician diagnosed the problem as a compressor/sealed system failure. LG agreed to a courtesy repair but after three visits the LG technician submitted a report to the company declaring the unit unrepairable. Since then, the company has delayed and deflected and made follow up and follow through extremely difficult. I cannot reach a service manager on the phone. I am not sure whether I will be compensated for my losses. I know there is a class-action lawsuit against LG on this very issue. I may well end up joining it. There is no reason why a four-year-old perfectly maintained refrigerator should fail after four years. It should be covered under the manufacturers warranty.

I purchased my LG #LTCS20220S in Feb. 2015. From the start I had some difficulty with the temp. settings and still do. However, I noticed when I close the refrigerator door that the freezer door pops open. Initially thought this might be causing fluctuations in the freezer because of all the freezer burn Ive been getting on my foods. (The temp. setting is at the lowest setting). It took me a long time to find the correct refrigerator temp setting so food does not spoil. At the lowest freezer setting I am still getting freezer burn on everything that goes in the freezer, including stuff that I repackage in freezer bags or containers (at the advice of LG service rep). What this means is I cannot buy food at the grocery store, like meat, in its original packaging, and just put it in the freezer. In a week, the freezer burns is starting to show up. Ive never had this before with any refrigerator/freezer I have ever owned and Im 64! I have called LG customer service many times. They have sent 2 different service techs out to my house. Everyone tells me nothing can be done, its the design. LG tells me the service techs have to say UNIT IS UNREPAIRABLE before they can file a claim and help me. Its all about the wording used on the service from so beware of that. IF the service tech leaves your house make sure he marks its Unrepairable or nothing will happen! I am going in circles with LG. I am throwing food out like crazy. I am so fed up with this issue that I want to just put this thing out on the curb with a free sign on it! I am still in limbo on this and waiting for a call back which I may never get. Its just not worth it. Nobody at LG is going to be on your side. They make me feel like its my fault! I cant imagine the President of LG repackaging his food before he puts it in his freezer EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like I am doing! Do yourself a favor and support the small appliance store where the customer counts. This is ridiculous and quite a waste of time and money. If I get good service, Ill re-write this review. But as of today, I am not.

Updated on 07/02/2021: This is review number 3. LG replaced parts twice then went off. Warranty says not their problem. Even told tech to glue part onto inside of washer. Extended warranty through Lowes. Says not their problem with either. Despite their warranty saying it will be restored to or a operating condition if it has failed due to defects in material. Gee thought I got paid $900 for a washing machine not a towel shredder. Could have done that on my own. Tech told me LG knows there is a problem but doesnt know how to fix it. My take is lg doesnt want to spend any money to redesign the piece so clothes are not getting caught in between the little plastic knob at the bottom of the tub. No need for LG to respond since they are not going to do anything about it anyways. Updated on 06/30/2021: Which consumer affairs would fix it so I can write a second note. So here goes. Its going to be a toss up somebody going to pay. Might I contemplate about taking all my towels that this washing machine tore up. And send part to or all to LG and drop part or all at Lowes. LG spent hours on phone with them after making an appointment and no ones showing up or calling. Called again more hours. Called Lowes. They scheduled an appointment. (With the same company that LG sent out the tech that I have been texting me tells me they are closed on that day the appointment.)Original Review: Complained to LG about washer tearing up to towels. Sent tech out who called company and explained problem. He was told put glue on the center piece. Two weeks later tech came out replaced center piece. Scared of covid I didnt call back for a while. The other piece messed up and continued to mess up and the tech put water proof tape inside. The piece continues to mess my towels up. No towels left. So upset about $1000 washer took for granted that the other problems have to wash some clothes twice. Only cycle to work is bedding cycle that will not tear towels up. It appears the turbo cycle throws the clothes against the middle. The plastic piece in the middle grabs a hold to towels and shreds them so the middle has had shredded threads wrapped around it. LG needs to stick to making phones. Was excited to hear about all the new fangle things the washer could do. Now just wish it would quit pretending to be a washer. Wish I had kept my old washer that was on its last legs. Now my worst fear is coming true. My dry is having to pick up all the hair and dirt the washer is getting.

LG has a good product and they have a good reputation, so I went with them. I had a talk with them regarding the compressor which was bad and the fluid which was leaking. I was without a refrigerator for three weeks and I told them that when I bought it, I had the same issue. When their people came, they changed the compressor and it was fine. But then, the technician told me when they came out for the third time that even if they change the fluid, they cannot guarantee that the refrigerator will work. It might work for a year, it might go bad in one week. But overall, everything is fine and I had a good experience with LG. Still, if the refrigerator goes bad again, I want LG to replace it for me.

Called LG and after 3 different companies, being stood up by LG factory tech 3 times and 5 actual service calls to the house and 2 1/2 months later still have a nice looking not cooling refrigerator. Waiting on parts to be changed out for the 2nd time. Refuse to replace.

We contacted LG customer service and we were referred to 2 companies in our area for repair. The companies would not work on our refrigerator due to lawsuits and LG not reimbursing. They told us they would set up appointment with repairman in 3-5 business days. Now 11 days later and still no call for appointment. Stand behind your products that are under warranty.

I had washed a load of clothes and put a mattress protector in the washer and the cycle was almost done when the washer just blew up. I have had my washer for almost a year. I liked it until this. The washer did a total 360. It blew the top totally off it. Water went everywhere and then LG couldnt get out till the next day. This could have been a bad thing if my child or I would have been walking by the washer. It was so loud when it happened. This is a major issue and I will never buy another LG product. The washer was a WT5001C.

LG LDG3036 ST Gas Range. I really like the double ovens and the design of this gas range, but I am completely dissatisfied with how the stove top burners work. The size of the flames around the burners vary considerably, so food will burn in one part of the pan and be barely simmering in another part, making it very, very difficult to cook food evenly. All 5 burners have the same problem. An LG technician came to fix it for the second time today with no improvement. I just got off the phone with customer services Executive Services and was told there was nothing more they could do, and that the stove was functioning according to the manufacturers standards and they will not replace or let me return it. So I paid $1300+ for a stove that doesnt cook any better than a primitive campfire. I have cooked on gas stoves for more than 30 years and have never had this problem. Cooks buy gas stoves so they have more heat control, not less. Id suggest LG needs to reconsider their manufacturing standards as their current one is unacceptable.

I purchased my refrigerator in November of 2014. I began to have performance issues with the cooling fan within two weeks of operation. After a remote diagnosis I was told that the cooling fan was freezing up; when I asked about repairs I was told to just insure that all doors and draws were tightly close and to check all seals were air tight, bad advice. Between November 2014 and April 2016 the same issue continued to occur. After a series of calls and two more visits, LG would no longer return with pay; this was an ongoing issue. With no further help from LG the repairs were completed in 2017 through use of my home appliances insurance.

LG LSC26905TT not cooling. The LG rep, Abes Appliance Repair, says faulty compressor. The fridge is 4 years old, 7 years warranty. LG will not replace because we have lost the receipt. Abes wants $500 to fix it plus the cost of a new compressor. The fridge cost over $2000, stainless! We also bought a new stainless range, also faulty. The largest ring stays one all the time, fire risk. The microwave glass fell out of the door! I fixed it with a small screw. The dishwasher is okay because we never use it. All appliances were bought at the same time. I am very disappointed. This is junk.

I am writing this letter because my mom who lives with a terminal illness has been without a fridge for nine days. Neither the fridge nor freezer works. This isnt the first time. She went without a fridge for a week before this a month ago. She recently purchased this fridge in October of 2012. We were told to go buy or ask a neighbor for a cooler to put our food in. We live in a very small town, and it is difficult to eat out all the time. We have been losing out hundreds of dollars with the food going spoiled. In addition, I am working all day, and my mom is without food. The first guy who came to fix the fridge brought a hair dryer. The second guy said he only ordered the part for the freezer and not the fridge even though we told him that neither worked. When my mom called the appliance company to see how soon the part was coming in and asked if she could get the part number, the manager said he did not have to tell her that and spoke very rudely. Then when she asked when the technician was coming out, the manager told her the technician would be in court all day. My mom isnt able to speak well as her muscles are going out. She also noticed a scratch on her fridge that was done by the technicians. The appliance company said they had nothing to do with that as did LG when we called. Therefore, I called and spoke with the supervisor and filed a formal complaint hoping someone will hear our frustrations. The supervisor was helpful and did as much as he could, which was to see when the part would come in. However, the manager of the appliance company said he was on the road and couldnt give the information right there and then. That is understandable, but I dont understand why it is taking so long to get a part in. Can the part not be delivered in 1 or 2 business days? We paid over $1200 for this fridge. I dont understand the customer service. The appliance company has been rude and LG has not been able to do much. I understand there is a process for everything, but this has become too much. What are we to do? My mom is stressed with having a terminal illness and her husband passing away recently. Can you please fix this situation? I have sent this through the post office with urgency hoping that you can address the situation.

Purchased front loading LG washer and dryer in Dec 2011. In Feb of 2015 (just over 3 years old), the tub seal around the door developed a hole and was leaking water all over the floor. I went online to discover this problem was chronic. Replaced Rubber tub door seal, but developed leak AGAIN just 10 mos later. Called LG, but they refused to do anything because out of warranty. I am unable to justify pouring any more money into what I believe to be defective product and have decided to simply buy a new washer. LG brand is unreliable and defective. Just go online and look at replacement of Rubber Boot Seal, AKA Rubber Bellows, AKA Tub Door Seal.

I used the oven for the first time 3 months after purchasing it and while the oven was cooling down after cooking in it, the glass door exploded. This range model has a double oven - a top small oven and a bottom large convection oven. I have used the top numerous times but this was the first time I used the large bottom oven. Being under warranty, I called LG and filed a claim. It took 2 weeks to get someone out to my house to evaluate the situation. Upon evaluation, I was told their findings would be reported to LG Warranty Department and the appropriate action would be taken. I just received a call from the repair company stating that LG will replace the glass in the door. I am a little worried about this because I kind of expected the entire door to be replaced. How will this affect the integrity of the door? What if it happens again? It could happen any time - most often during the self-clean cycle of the oven. I am very concerned and wish manufacturers would go back to the days of a solid oven door.

I bought a whole house full of LG appliances after a house fire in 2010. None of my items went into use until June of 2011. In the summer of 2017 my ice maker in my lfx31925st stopped working and I did a troubleshoot online and tried everything it showed. I contacted LG and was told that they sell products with disposable parts on them and that in this time span it is not uncommon for this item to need repair. I was shocked that my $2800 fridge would be considered by the company to basically be made of disposable parts. This was just the start of my troubles. About two months after this my freezer fan became very loud and I noticed my frost free freezer had a ton of ice in the back. I defrosted this but it kept happening and soon my freezer had stopped working and I had soup for ice cream and much unthawed meat. The fridge part still works somewhat if I keep only small amounts of items in there but I am unable to keep it well stocked as it will get to warm. I get from LG that I am no longer under warranty and there is nothing they can do. All I can say to anyone is stay away as this is not my only issue with LG.

I was quite happy with my LG electric (glass-top, stainless steel) range until, this weekend, the oven simply stopped working. That means no broiler, no oven, no self-cleaning. Based on my description to our authorized LG repair outfit in my city, Im told its going to cost $195 ($220 with taxes) + $120 for the repair ($138 with taxes). Thats $358 total!! After spending well over $1000 only 3 years ago for this appliance, Im infuriated.I called another company in town that repairs LGs and they said that people are lucky if they last 5 years, and that most of the time, within 2 years there are issues. She actually said that their company recommends that people keep their old ranges as long as they can. I was flabbergasted. I cant afford a new range right now so Im going to get this thing repaired, but believe me, I will never buy an LG product again. I just hope the LG dishwasher and fridge I bought will last a longer. No customer loyalty here, thats for sure.

Many LG Models with the Linear Compressor have failed and settlement to a Class-Action Lawsuit has been reached. But, any compensation will pale to the hassle and cost of your refrigerator failure. Here is my experience: 11/17/20 - My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. It is 3 years old and still under warranty. 11/19/20 - contacted LG and requested service under the warranty. LG contacted a service company and set an appointment for Monday 11/23/20. 11/20/20 - The service company called to inform that the service technician would not come until Tuesday - 11/24/20. 11/24/20 - Tech failed to come within prescribed time, and no courtesy call from the service company. I called the service company and was told they will try to find out where the tech is and call me back with info. By 8:00p that night, no call was returned. Called service co and left message to call me back. 11/25/20 - No call from service co by 1030 am, so called LG again to request service. LG re-contacted same Service provider, and stated that I would get a call to set up appointment that night. LG made Complaint #: ** 11/25 at 2:00pm - Still no call from provider. Called provider again and was told tech would arrive between 5:00p to 8:00p.11/25 at 6:00pm - Service provider called to inform that tech was cancelling again. They could reschedule for another time after Thanksgiving. Told service provider that I will recontact LG, as the service provider was not reliable and confidence to have the company on home site was gone. 11/27/20 - Contacted LG to request service from another provider. Was told it will take an additional 3-5 days to send my request to Field Services before I can get another schedule. Informed that this run-around has gone on too long - Thanksgiving food (hundreds of $$$) are spoiling. Requested LG to replace refrigerator now. LG stated that would not do so until they get a Technician out to look at it - yet as of now that isnt even on the schedule. As of now I own a $5000 bread box.

I am SOOO disappointed with my LG experience. We have a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer. We have had problems with ALL of them, but the worst with the fridge and oven. We even have trouble with our LG Tv and Blu-ray player! I thought we made a smart decision with choosing LG 7 years ago, because they were the latest technology and trend. My best friend had bought all LG the year before and was happy with it. But then the problems start (even with her). I have way too much to say if I speak of all the products, so I will focus on the fridge. The fridge stopped cooling with no warning whatsoever when it was 4 years old. We had to scramble to get a couple coolers with ice to save all our groceries.I called LG but they wanted to charge an outrageous amount just for the service call, about $80 and they said that doesnt include fixing it. So if their estimate would be too high and I would want to go with someone else, they still get $80. So I called a local company who specializes in LG. Their service fee was only $25. They came out and said it was either the compressor or a relay. If it is the compressor, it would be about $800, which is half the price of my $1600 fridge. Thankfully it was the relay, which was $125. But they can only guarantee the part for one year. Worst of all, they didnt have the part on hand and had to order it. We lived with no fridge, out of a cooler, for 3 weeks!Sure enough, 2 years later, same thing happens right when we return from vacation. Thank God it didnt happen while we were away! So once again, everything is melting and we have to scramble to save the food. This time they put a stronger relay, so it was $150, plus the $25 service fee, and they happened to have it, so the silver lining was we only lived out of a cooler for two days. But the tech said the compressor is extremely weak and I am lucky if I get another year or two max out of the fridge before it dies. At that point the fridge was only 6 and a half years old!! I simply dont have the energy to fight with LG because of all the bad reviews I see on the customer service. So I want to warn all the consumers out there to prevent this from happening to them. Choose another brand. On a side note, my stove/oven stopped working 6 weeks after the fridge went out the first time. Great timing lol. The digital panel stopped working after the numbers started fading months before. Well, because its digital, you cant turn anything on. I wish I still had the old school one with the knobs because the digital panel cost $250! Thats half the price of the oven. And of course only one year guarantee on the part. Thankfully, its been almost three years and so far so good. But if it happens again, I dont want to invest that much again into this piece of junk. How can LG be okay with doing business this way?! And of course this stuff happens once its out of warranty. We live paycheck to paycheck, so when this stuff happens, it really hurts us. We thought investing in high end products would pay off in the end, but we worked hard to pay off over $5,000 over a few years and got screwed :-(. I did not get extended warranties because I believe if the company makes good products I shouldnt need to. What happened to products lasting?? I sound like my mother lol but they really dont make things with pride, like they used to. Her 20 year old fridge is still going strong! If LG sees this, they should offer me some kind of credit out of good faith, but I have low expectations. At least I can warn the innocent consumers who work hard for their money.

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. Our LG LFXS24623 fridge experienced a compressor failure at 2 years after purchase. LG shows a 10 year warranty on the compressor however that is on the parts ONLY. I spent $400 for a Sears tech to install the free part. According to the tech he is replacing compressors on LG fridges constantly and there is a class action lawsuit against LG for compressor failures. In addition to the compressor issues, the ice maker is faulty and requires constant fidgeting to make it work. This is another known issue on LG products. The only thing worse than the design/build quality on LG appliances is their customer service. They are in some foreign country, they read off a script, are extremely unhelpful, will not pass you to a supervisor on request, etc. Life is definitely NOT GOOD with LG.

I own an LG refrigerator (model number LR FD 22850 SW), French doors style and with a freezer on the bottom. One day my wife called me and said that the fridge is running hot and the lights stay on, even with the doors closed. I told her to disconnect the power and remove the light bulbs, until I get home. I later found out that the light sockets were very dark and burnt. The plastic lens cover and plastic base were also melted by the light bulbs. I got replacements from Sears’ parts website. I got them the very next day, and replaced all bad parts. After four hours, the fridge started to get hot again--the same problem. I had placed a thermometer inside to monitor the temperature while it had no lights. The temperature was steady at 37 degrees. Four hours later, with the lights on, the temperature reading was 89 degrees. Lots of foods were spoiled, and the plastic parts melted again. So far I have removed the lights, and the temperature is going back to normal. I believe I am not the only one with this defective appliance.

I have an LG refrigerator, model # LFC2576OTT. I opened the doors to get a drink in the morning to notice that the unit was so hot. The plastic that connects the module to the inner roof (on the inside) had melted like string cheese. And lights were brown and burnt looking. It also smelled like melted plastic and electrical fire or burning wires. I just thank God that we hadnt left to go out of town yet, because the underside of the cabinet and the top of the fridge were too hot to touch. I fear it may have caught on fire. It was so hot on the top level of our fridge that the metal rings of some of our canned goods had resealed! We lost all our food and canned goods. We had already (one year prior) established a complaint about the product due to poor plastic construction of door handle hinges. After looking on-line, I saw that both of these are common problems with these refrigerators. LG should recall these refrigerators before someone gets hurt. Please someone do a class action suit, because it is apparent to me that LG is not going to take responsibility for their faulty products.

It leaves lines of loose dirt all through the clothes where it has spun out the water and not adequately rinsed them. I have never ever been this disappointed with a product. Updated on 07/26/2019: If you look at all the negative reviews youll see that LG has not closed any of the complaints. They all are listed as resolution in process including mine. After my refrigerator died for the second year in a row I wrote my first review here but since LG wont respond I have to write another review in order to finalize my original review.Heres the latest on my refrigerator. The company that I purchased it from (ABT Glenview IL.) came out first thing in the morning and replaced the freezer fan and main circuit board. The unit worked for a while but during the evening the freezer was not cooling and the unit temperatures started to climb. I monitored the temperatures and called the service manager (Ryan) at ABT back and we ran through some things to see what was happening. I unplugged the unit and after a few minutes plugged it back in. The freezer fans kicked back on and the unit started to cool. A few hours later I checked it again and the freezer temperature started rising again. At this point I once again removed everything from the unit and put it in the loaner unit they gave me in.I called the next day and spoke with Ryan about what happened and he scheduled to have another service technician come out the next day to look at the unit. When the technician came out the first thing he said was the freezer fan was not running and had no explanation why. He unplugged the unit and they plugged it back in and the fan started to work but he could not say how long it would last. I spoke with Ryan later that evening and fortunately ABT is a reputable company and they offered to buy back my unit. We talked about all the costs involved and what could be done on the new unit pricing. The next day I went to ABT and purchased (at no cost) a new GE unit similar to the one I had and it was delivered yesterday 7-15-2019. They took back the LG unit and from what I was told it was sent to the scrap yard.I have to say that at least ABT stood up to their end but I can not say the same for LG. When I called LG about the unit I was told someone could be out here to look at it July 20th. While I was going through all this with ABT, I received a call from a woman (through a company the LG had gave my information to) who could barely speak English wanting to know if I wanted a service call. I cant tell you the name of the company because I couldnt understand what she was saying. I told her that the unit was being replaced and I would not need a service call.Hopefully I will have better luck with my new unit and can put this mess behind me. As for LG products I have to say I am extremely disappointed at how this turned out. This unit cost $1800.00 and should have lasted a long time not a few years! Here is the unit information for your records. LFXS24623S S/N 505MRZLMQ173 purchased 7-6-2015.Today 7-26-2019 I received a call from LG asking how the repair was working on my refrigerator. I told the person that the unit was in the scrap yard and was not being repaired. I dont think she really understood what I said and wanted to know if I was happy with the unit. I again told her that the LG piece of junk was in the garbage because it couldnt be repaired. She asked if I purchased a new LG unit and after I stopped laughing I told her I would never buy anything from LG again. She said she was sorry for all my trouble and if I needed any more help I could contact LG. I again told her that I will never buy another LG product and personally I feel all their appliance are junk. SO LG WHY HAVENT YOU REPLIED TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. I sent you the message you requested on July 17 2019 but yet to hear back from you!!!!Original review: I have an LG LFXS24623S 24Cuft French door refrigerator that was purchased in July 2015 and this is now the second year in a row where it has died. Last year August 2018 the unit needed a complete seal system repair which took two visits to complete and now less than a year later July 2019 the unit is dead again and needs a new freezer fan and main circuit board.Luckily I purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the unit so this years repairs are covered but now Im going into year 5 and will have to purchase another warranty to cover what will inevitably be another repair next summer. This year I lost over $300.00 in meat and other frozen items but my warranty from the store will only cover $200.00 of it, so now Im out $100 plus the trouble of having to deal with the mess of melted ice cream in the freezer. Anyone thinking of purchasing an LG product should be made aware to find another brand to purchase! Read the reviews people their products do not last and they even know about it but still are producing garbage and selling it.

We purchased a LG TROMM Washer in Jan. 2007 (WM2487h*M) and we should have known better as we had to trade it out within the first few days of purchase because the water was filling up in the drum after the rinse cycle and the symbol FE was displayed. Luckily, Best Buy exchanged it for a new one without hesitation and it was almost as if they had already been down this path before with several customers. Fast forward less than five years later and the same thing has happened. We just spent $640 on repairs including a new water pump, a new water valve and a new memory board for this hunk of junk of a washer. In hindsight we should have just bought a new machine as the warranties had all expired. The guarantee for the new memory board is for two years supposedly, but we have yet to see paperwork from the registered LG repairman. Although he did state that the new memory board was registered with LG. I guess well just need to keep pressing them on this until we see something in writing.

Purchased washer, gas dryer bundle. Front door leaked water from first use. Told us to clean it - we wiped it dry every use. After 2.5 months the valves and baskets and other parts (a solenoid that shuts the water off) required replacement. Even with the additional warranty we still owed 350.00 each time. Our washer required authorized repair parts and authorized service people so we had to wait weeks for the appointment, weeks for the parts to be ordered then weeks for a follow up appointment. Now its happening again. I am not repairing this beast. I will go out today and buy a Kenmore or Whirlpool top load from Sears. Sears has been reliable forever. No more LG or samsung for us, ever.

We purchased this product in June 2015. About a month after the 1 year warranty period was over, the refrigerator started making a loud noise, almost sounding like a lawn-mower was hiding inside the unit. It was soon followed by an error E RF on the display panel. Upon contacting LGs customer support, who were quick to point out that the warranty period was over, they informed me that the error indicated that the refrigerator fan was malfunctioning possibly due to ice forming around the refrigerator fan unit causing the issue. I was asked to do a manual defrost, i.e. physically shutting down the power and letting it sit for 8 hours for the ice to melt before switching it back on. This seemed to resolve the issue; however, this seemed to keep happening every other month. On doing some research on the web, I found that this is a very common problem. Since then we have been doing this ritual every other month to power-off the unit to perform a manual defrost. Since the last such operation, the E RF message pops-up daily and then disappears. The temperature in refrigerator is not cold, resulting in food going bad. On contacting a local appliance repair company and providing the serial number of the unit I was given to understand that a service bulletin from LG indicated that the software on some board needs an upgrade or replacement and a fan panel needed replacement, possibly costing hundreds of dollars. I was also informed that the replacement boards are not in stock and could take weeks. On contacting LG Customer Service, I was provided the solution to perform a manual defrost. For now, Life is not so Good.

I have found that LG LRG3081ST turns on just by walking past the stove and bumping the knob. This has happened multiple times and needs to be addressed before my house blows up. This time the stove knob must have been turned on all night because the whole house smelled of gas fumes. I have looked all over the internet this morning to find out if there is any fix for this and have been unsuccessful in finding anything. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. I have read that there is only one-year warranty on this stove and this is not under warranty because its a design flaw LG needs to fix.

Stay far away from LG and specifically the LG French Door with bottom freez
Stay far away from LG and specifically the LG French Door with bottom freezer drawer models. In general the mechanical design of the LG is 1) stupid and 2) unreliable, and 3) the service call center is staffed by script reading drones that give no useful information or satisfaction! My LG model LFX28978 is technically designed for the convenience of LG not the customer or service companies. First problem - the ice maker. Poorly designed so that the cable energizing the cube tray rotation motor was too short and managed to pull itself apart. New Ice maker needed. Second problem freezer not cold enough. Freezer Fan motor would not function. Resolution was to REPLACE the entire motherboard for the whole refrigerator unit! There are no simple relays to turn fans, lights and other necessary apparatus on and off; it all comes from the Motherboard (on board computer) so replacing that is the only answer. That is like designing a high end laptop or desktop where the CPU has to be replaced to resolve a key stroke problem! Next, water would not flow into the unit for the ice maker or the water dispenser? Problem is that at the main water input from the hose to the refrigerator there is a very complicated system where the water comes in and then goes up into the refrigerator cabin through a replaceable filter then back down the intake valve where there are more lines and solenoid valves to then feed the Ice Maker and Water dispenser? These are all controlled by (yes you guessed it) the main computer board! There is more but you get the idea. By the way, dont expect a reasonable service response. It is not part of the LG DNA. It is tedious and contra instinctive. The contract service people who come to work on our LG refrigerator love it. Quote our last service tech LG is great. That is how I can afford have all the things my family really likes! Without LG I couldnt make nearly as good a living.

After less than a year the display panel on my LG french door refrigerator
After less than a year the display panel on my LG french door refrigerator started to peel up. Called Best Buy whom I purchased it from, they transferred me to LG. This is where the epic disappointment comes in, I understand that things break even though it has been less than 1 year but there is no excuse for the complete lack of help that LG provided. They gave us the run-around, never called the service shop that was supposed to take care of my area, never gave us an RN number, then to top it off they cancelled the repair appointment that we finally got after a million phone calls because there were 2 different phone numbers on the request. They never notified us that they cancelled the appointment so my boyfriend missed a whole day of work waiting for the repair people (who conveniently then couldnt find any of our info). All it would have taken was a phone call to either numbers to straighten it out, btw they said having 2 numbers on the request was fine that they would call both but instead they called neither. I cant believe the level of disorganization and disregard from LG. I will never trust this brand ever again.

I had the compressor fixed with Sears but now I have a problem again. Don’t buy an LG refrigerator with their bad customer support.

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

Although my top loaded LG washer and dryer perform well, I am disappointed with the cheap black plastic cover over the control panels. I dont know how loading clothes can scratch this plastic but I continue to get more scratches. I realize this is petty but my washer and dryer are in an open area in the utility room which you walk through to get to the kitchen from the garage and the scratches are on display.

LG Wave Washer and Dryer (Granite) - This is the second time the drum in the dryer has come loose. The first time because we left a review, LG repaired the issue only for it to happen again. My husband is a Quality Engineer and deals with these things all the time. This dryer should have been recalled and the washer is rusted really bad. This set cost me a lot of money and the dryer is now too dangerous to use because there is a huge hole in the drum and you could cut yourself. It was beautiful to look at but does not work well. All my clothes and sheets tangle... So frustrated.

I purchased an LG Washing machine with the pedestal back in April of 2010 for $1,309.95 from P.C. Richards. After 3-years and 4-months, my machine stopped spinning and had a loud squeaking noise. I paid about $400.00 in repairs at that time for a power cord and the computer control panel which completely burnt out. After the P.C. Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. In TEARS, can someone help me please?

We bought this range Model LRE3083ST at HHGregg in Sept of last year. So far it has one failed control panel and today after it was replaced a few months ago I awoke to the same issue. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and nothing shows up. The buttons do not work nor does anything else. This will be the second call on this range. I am not happy right now because I have been on hold for 1 hour and 46 minutes after speaking to someone who told me the same company cannot come out until the 26th. It is the 21st. I dont believe I should be without the range for that long. It is their product. They need to get back out to fix it or I want a new range.

Our LG washer/dryer is less than 5 years old. We bought these top of the line machines since we are getting older and wanted to be trouble-free for the foreseeable future. This year, we had to replace both circuit boards on the dryer. Then after that, the drum would not turn and the motor just buzzed. So we had to replace the motor too. A little reading on the internet and it seems that many people have had the same problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor, circuit boards needing replacement is common as well. Now, the washing machine has started to make a loud, squeaking sound when it runs. My old washer/dryer combo was purchased in 1986 and was still working perfectly in 2007 when we bought the LG units. We paid a premium for a top of the line, but we sure didnt get a top of the line reliability.

Purchased model LDE3035SB on 10/27/14. On around the 23rd of Feb (2015) I decided to do the easy clean on my upper oven (this is a double oven range) since it wast that dirty to require the self clean cycle. When it finished I had to wipe the bottom out because there was still water in the bottom. I was about to put the rack back in when I noticed something that I thought was food in the back right corner. I tried to hand clean but it would not clean. I rubbed my fingers over and felt that about a half dollar size section of the enamel was gone. Called LG and they said they would send a repair person out at our expense. We had not used this oven much because we had been gone over all the holidays and could not do much cooking in Jan. because we were having it remodeled and only did toast or baked potatoes or something simple. When the repair guy came out he told me I was pushing the rack back too far and said that LG would not cover anything like this because it was considered cosmetic. We asked if it could be repaired and he said no. We contacted LG and were told they would not do anything about it but for us not to use the any of the self cleaning cycles. If this is true and the blue enamel is only cosmetic, then why cant we use the cleaning cycles. We even went to Lowes to see if they could get something done.... they were told the same thing. Funny thing I was recently told by 2 different appliance repairmen do you know what LG really means when I was asking about my range.... It stands for Lousy Goods. It is only a little over 4 months old and I wont be able to use my self clean. When it gets to filthy, we will toss it and a new rage but not a LG. $1,300 down the drain.

I purchased the stove from Home Depot on March 29, 2011. My kitchen remodel was completed two months later, making the actual age of the stove approximately four months old. I dont cook on the stove often and only used the oven this one time. I placed a tray with dinosaur breaded chicken pieces in the oven at 350 degrees. Five minutes into cooking them, I heard glass shatter. I ran to the kitchen thinking a window had broken. I looked at the oven and the inside glass had shattered. I waited the weekend and called LG service on Monday. A service man came on Tuesday (Granville **). He came late. He trudged through my house with mud and looked at my paperwork for the stove. He poked at the broken glass and tiny pieces fell on the floor. He took pictures, closed the door, took a picture of the serial number, kicked the tiny of pieces of glass off his work boot and proceeded to leave my house. I stopped him and asked if the repair was getting done today. He said something about the LG company. I said, “Could you please tell me if the repair is getting done today?” He said, Call the company tomorrow. I said, “Tomorrow, I want my stove done today.” He said, Call the company. I cant do no more. I immediately called LG and they said, Werent you told to call tomorrow? I said, “I want to know today.” They put me on hold and said they would call the service man. When they came back on the phone, they said, “The service man notified us that it was negligence on your part that the oven glass broke.” Was it on my part? I put something in to cook. The glass shattered only on the inside pane of glass and blew apart into tiny pieces that flew all over my floor when I opened it. And I have a small child that could have been badly injured if he was playing near this monstrosity of a product. A service man came, poked his finger at the broken glass and more pieces fell on my spotless floor. He kicked his heel to make the ones on his boot fall off onto my floor and walked away leaving them there. And Im into day six without a stove and your company is telling me I can get it repaired if I pay for it. Should I pay for it? I dont even think this stove is safe with new glass. Something caused that glass to blow apart, whether the thermostat let the temperature get too high, the glass wasnt properly sealed, or the complete stove is defective. One thing is certain. I did nothing wrong to cause this to happen. And the replies I keep getting, that are made to make me feel like a liar, are totally sickening. I have LG washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove, and seven wall unit air conditioners. And you mean to tell me that I never made a single complaint. But the one and only time I do, Im at fault? Did I deliberately or by mistake broke a window out of my oven? Absolutely not. I bought all these products in good faith. I even bought extended warranties on some. At the first sign of trouble, your company turns its nose up at me. What a disgrace!

We got this glass top range oven when we had our new kitchen put in 5/24/14. It looks great but just about 1 year into use the glass top cracked because I forgot the pan on for too long and started to burn. I removed the pan off the stove top and heard a pop. Did not think anything about it. When it got cool and try to clean the glass top I saw a crack and a small hole. We purchased insurance but not hopeful because when I talk to the LG representatives she said it may not be covered because it might it be done by us dropping something on top of it! That really sucks because we paid $2119 plus $179 for 5 year coverage. LG brand not worth the money! Stay away!

Its a beautiful refrigerator and I like the visibility of the program, the temperature and those type of things. But our experience has not been good so far. The top part stopped cooling and then apparently, something happened with the ice getting blocked. Im not sure how that actually happened but we had to turn it off and take the ice out. It was a little bit of a pain. But the repair guy was really great and the customer service was good other than the fact that they overbooked the guy to come out that day. He was a little late. I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load is a water saver. However, the ability to increase the water level manually if wanting a greater rinse still gives me control over my laundry. With its many available washing options, one doesn’t have to “think” each time a load Is added; if I’m washing towels, I just choose the “Towel” option and the machine does the rest. My spin cycle is extremely effective, making the drying time a minimal. Last, the size of the tub is large enough for a thin blanket. This is nice when needing to wash stored bed coverings prior to winter use. The only con I might have is getting the message “uneven load” and of acing to stop the machine and adjust the wet items. This usually happens if I have a mix load of unlike weights.

We purchased a top load LG Wave Force about 5 years ago. For the past few years, I have noticed brown flakes on my clothes, especially white ones that I need to hang dry. The multiple times I have called LG to complain about the brown flakes on my clothes, they said no one has complained about such flakes. I had a repair guy come out and he took the metal piece out from the inside of the washer. The underside was so disgusting with nasty brown slime. He said there is no way to get the drum out without dismantling the entire washing machine, which he did not recommend. I scrubbed the metal piece he removed and took a soft brush to the underside of the barrel through the inside of the washer. I was never able to get all of the gunk out but it did get better. Now it is back to how it was before with nasty gunk again. I clean the washer every week with Lemi-Shine. I have tried everything. I hate this washer. It has ruined so many of my clothes with brown gunk stains. And the fact that LG says no one has ever complained about this issue is a lie. Two of my best friends have the same issue. We moved into our home in December 2015. Our home is just 6 years old. After a month, our LG French door refrigerator started acting up. The refrigerator was starting to freeze all the food. I called our local repair people and he identified the part to be the duct assembly. He ordered the part and he was told that the LG part was discontinued, and they sent a part that was to replace the original part. After 2 weeks of frustration, the part didnt fit. I then decided to contact LG directly. Their repairman came out and said it was the sensor and tried to fix it. After less than a week, the problem remained. LG repairman came back out and figured that it was the duct assembly and ordered it. I advised him it was no longer available and he advised me he had to go through the channels and well see what happens. In the beginning while talking to their customer service, I was assured something would be done and that there were a lot of options including replacing the refrigerator if they couldnt fix it. They even said they would replace the cost of the food that was lost, and asked me to call back with the amount of money I lost and they would send me a check. I am now told there is nothing they can do because I am not the original owner and transferring names is not allowed. I offered to meet them halfway with the cost of replacing a new one and they refused. I cant believe that they would discontinue a part when the refrigerator is only 6 years old. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell as many people I know the same information.

I purchased an LG front load washer about 6 months ago from Sears. It began leaking from the bottom within 3 months of purchase. I called LG and after 5 hours of run around through their customer service. Customer service reps are all from India or Philippines. They have no idea what you are saying. They email you videos to watch on how to clean your machine. Finally after I lost my temper they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. We will see what happens. This leak is substantial and has caused major water damage and possibly mold to the walls and floor. Has destroyed the item stored within 6 feet of the washer. I would have called sooner but instead I thought the pipes in my walls or slab leak. After turning the water off to my home I discovered it was my brand new washing machine.

I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over
I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over Thanksgiving. Being it was the holidays, I took to dealing with the matter immediately by contacting LGs customer service department. In the initial conversation, we determined that the issue was likely the compressor, which if true, would be covered under warranty. Learning that an authorized technician was needed to service the appliance I was then given a phone number to a local service dealer in the Scottsdale area. This company did not return my call but, I was able to get through the week after Thanksgiving. They told me that they had only one technician on staff authorized and he was out of town for 3 weeks. This was not acceptable being the holidays and the fact that we had a full house.Through my own inquiry, I found one repair service willing to work on LG appliances... most would not because they have a pretty bad reputation it appears. The only issue, was that we needed to have him authorized. This I was able to begin through a chat with a member of the LG customer service department, however, the authorization was never put forward I was to discover. This required another online chat, some apologies and eventually a successful authorization for my serviceman. Now able to open the back of the appliance, indeed it was discovered to be an issue with leaking coolant and a faulty part (parts). Now began the test of getting the parts (under warranty) ordered and delivered to my repairman. The part was ordered and we waited. I requested that someone contact me to let me know when it would arrive. This was wishful thinking. I opened another chat to see where the part was and the LG agent could not find any information and asked for a PON number which I did not have. He said perhaps the part was on back order. To shorten a very long litany of my technician and myself spending hours of precious time getting the runaround with (excuse me) a very incompetent customer service system; my repairman was told after many conversations with the parts dept., that 30 day deadline was expired and we have to start all over again. So another chat last week resulted in a request for authorization again and I was told a rush request would be made for second authorization. I was also again promised that the agent would keep me posted. Yea right. Having no fridge for the holidays with a houseful of family is frustrating in and of itself and 2K plus fridge should not fail in just two years; add a complete run-around by the folks we trusted with hard earned money with their brand over many other choices on the market, to simply supply a part and authorize and repair completely beside myself. All I need is a warrantied part, a second authorization (since time expired because of LG inefficiency), an LG customer service person who will see the process through and an attempt by LG to stand by its motto; life is good. I believe all agree that those requests are reasonable. To date I have had 6 chats average 40 minutes each, three long phone calls, a long wait for the supervisor but disconnected after 20 minutes, 4 letter submissions and a technician about to give up because of time lost from numerous calls to the parts department and total frustration. The fridge failed 11-24-16 and todays date is 1-13-17 and zero success. If anyone knows of a way I can pressure these people for one or two damned parts; (that my service guy could have fixed it in one hour two months ago) please let me know.

I will never purchase another front load washer again. You apparently are unable to off set problems with a load when it becomes unbalanced. I continually stop the washer, readjust the load but it will not complete a final spin on many items, mattress covers and various sizes of rugs or blankets. With a top load, you are able to redistribute the items and it continues the cycle with no problems!

I bought a fridge 1 year ago and it has been repaired 3 times for the same reason. I contacted LG and each time, it was fixed. Obviously, its a bad fridge. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and they told me that after 3 events for the same reason, it should be replaced. I contacted LG, they told me that that’s not the case, that it is up to the technician to tell LG that it cant be fixed. What? Dont buy LG. Customer service sucks and they will do nothing except to keep passing you on to someone else and tell you sad, sorry with no action.

I purchased an LG washer in Sept. ‘09. On June 13, 2013, I attempted to wash a medium size load. But when I went to put the wash into the dryer, the washer was flashing OE. I checked the manual and did as instructed. The drain hose was not bent, pinched or clogged. I clean the filter. Finally had to call for service and was told the motor assembly A/C pump needed replacing. This machine in not 4 years old. Guess thats why the warranty was for only 1 year on all the smaller parts. What kind of company makes such items and can only guarantee the said item for 1 year??? Thank goodness for Worry Free.

I do not understand how your company can recall a washing machine, put a part in the machine and it is still not fixed but yet your company calls it completed. I am not able to wash my childrens winter coats, raincoats, sporting clothing, bathroom rugs, and everything else that has water proofing including my sons, who is in a crib, mattress bed. I dont understand how your company can call it fixed. I am very disappointed with your company and unless I get resolution to this problem, I will be going to the Attorney General in NYS. I plan also to spread the word regarding the lack of customer satisfaction I received from your company. This is awful to do to customers who made good money for a product. Now, I have to go to a Laundromat to wash my clothes. Does that make sense to anyone who has bought a washer???

Tonight we set our dishwasher to run as always while we sleep. Well it was a good thing I didnt fall asleep right away because my LG dishwasher control panel shorted out and caught fire, and it didnt even trip the breaker. Hopefully thats because I got to it first. We have had nothing but trouble with it over the seven plus years we owned it. It has been completely rebuilt at least three times. It has always had a foul smell to it when it ran.
