Newer LG stainless steel dishwasher came with home we purchased 2011. Had to fix after two months of move in. It wasnt draining. Fixed then it had to be fixed. A few months after that, it wouldnt turn on. It has constant mold problem. I ran with bleach, I wipe between rubber molding inside where mold is with bleach, run vinegar cycle clean. Find mold on cups and mold grew all over wood handle item. Some rust on inside sides, 2 hour run time. Power button is way too sensitive, starts on own as bumping against it starts it. Also the tines on bottom rack are so close that front part bottom rack is unusable and top rack doesnt hold glasses well, had several glasses break. Bad design all around, bottom rack is very low to floor. I would never buy an LG dishwasher.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2013, 4 1/2 years later the compressor goes out. With the 10 year warranty still on it, I contacted LG. Dealing with their customer service department was a nightmare. To begin with, they had no service technicians in my area, then they give me three authorized service companies to call, all were either wrong numbers or they dont work on LG appliances anymore. LG had service technicians but had none a available. So whats the purpose of a warranty if you cant honor it?As Im searching the internet to read complaints on LG, I came across a site indicating a class action lawsuit against LG for their faulty linear compressors posted last month, so I searched more and learned there was a previous lawsuit. LG is aware of their faulty compressors yet they have no desire to help consumers get repairs. What am I suppose to do other than join in on this new class action lawsuit, which could take years. I had to toss out over $300 worth of food, purchase a mini fridge and deal with ice chests. And still without a fridge. I cant afford to purchase another frig right now. I will NEVER purchase another LG anything, phone, TV, refrigerator, washer dryer nothing with a LG logo. Their warranty is a joke as well as their customer service.

I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

My LG fridge stopped cooling less than 2 years after we bought it. The compressor is still under warranty. We cant get someone to come and repair it within a reasonable time. The person called at 4:02 we returned the call at 4:04 and they wouldnt come out. We missed our time and had to reschedule with Habeeb in India. **, India really, he could not answer my questions and would not transfer me to someone in the US. We are stuck in Miami; I will never buy another LG product from Sears again. Meantime, all of our food is spoiled and Thanksgiving is coming with company.

I purchased these 2 items less than 5 months ago. The fridge stopped making ice, and the range is not working at all. I called LG and they sent a tech to fix it. He ordered a part, replaced it, and still the same, now they canceled todays appt, for no reason, and apparently tomorrow another tech will come to check again, then they will keep changing parts and guessing what it is. I told Customer Service that I have been like these for 2 wks already, with nowhere to cook, and I needed these to be fix ASAP. I told them to please change my new range for another one. Mine has become refurbish since they keep replacing parts, its not original no more. But LG continues to allegate, that they cannot do anything but just wait for the tech to see what it is. They say they cannot change my equipment for a new one, it can ONLY be repaired. I hope any issues like this will be covered under the Manufacturers Warranty, but I can see this is not true. At the end the Consumer can not even respond in the proper way and solve anything. What a shame. I am very disappointed, and for sure WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYBODY.

Purchased our LG LFX28968ST French Door Fridge (SS) and spent over $2K to have the compressor stop working and we lost hundreds of dollars in food and condiments. I tried to call the authorized repair person in my area who they gave me and never received a callback. I guess I am lucky I have tile floors and did not have water damage like some people have experienced. So now that I have cleaned out my fridge I am sitting on hold with LG customer service for about 15 minutes already and they still do not have any answers. Telling me that someone will call me back in 24-48 hours, meanwhile I am sitting with an empty fridge and the closest store is 12 miles from our house to get ice (not to mention the time). So now they are sending me a form and said to send in my proof of purchase for the Fridge (which I have and will do) but they said they will extend the warranty to cover the parts and labor. Lets see if this is honored.

I bought an LG fridge back in 2008. I tell you, its my worst experience with an LG brand. The fridge stopped freezing in eight months. I got someone to have a look at it and he said the cap tube was blocked. He went ahead and do his stuff. A couple of months later, same problem. Im telling you, that LG brand is no good at all. The ** fridge makes my light bill go up sky high. I cant hold it anymore. I have to talk out and encourage people not to buy an LG brand from my experience. LG needs to do better than they are doing right now. Model no. GM-343SL. Serial no. 711MRL16272.

Our refrigerator (model # LMXS30776S) is just over 3 1/2 years old, and this will now be the 7th time we’ve had it fail. Just last month, we had to have the ice maker replaced because of a leak. Five months ago, the evaporator, drier and ice maker assemblies were replaced as it was not cooling. The year before that we had to have the compressor and evaporator replaced along with a repair to the ice maker, losing a vast majority of our food in the process. Now, not only is the ice maker not working, but the fridge won’t cool below 52 degrees. Based on all of the complaints and class action lawsuits that have surfaced, this is a widespread problem that needs to be remedied. History would suggest that we will be in the same position in another 6 months down the road. LG needs to be held liable for the damages caused to their customers.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our kitchen 3 years ago. The stove is terrible to say the least. You can brush up against the knobs and turn the burners on. My 6 year old daughter has walked by and bumped the knob with her shoulder and turned the gas on and it was on for I don’t know how long. This is extremely dangerous. Also, I can’t even use the bottom oven because flames shoot out the back and burns my food. I bought this double oven because I bake a lot and it has made baking so much more difficult. I can not believe these stoves have not been recalled due to fire danger.

I have bought this LG Intello 6.5 Kg washing machine (Product T7066MN) in 2009 for Rs 12,000, and it is just out of warranty, and it has stopped working. I reported this to customer care on 1/9/2012, and the engineer reported a major repair worth Rs 4,000. My concern is the machine is just out of warranty and has such major parts under repair. Is this the quality of LG products? My previous machines I bought had minimum life before coming to repair (6 years). What is the guarantee that if I spend Rs 4,000 now, which is 1/3 the original cost, it will solve all of the problems? I would not recommend LG products to anyone. They just have good looks and no quality.

I guess I should feel lucky. My $2200 LG refrigerator lasted 3.25 years. Reading all of the other reviews it appears the average is 2.5 years. LG states the life expectancy is 20 years. If they truly believed that, why doesnt the compressor have a 20 year warranty. Its baseless marketing, My dead refrigerator has been standing in my kitchen Since July of 2019. Consumers settled a class action suit against LG, but LG still has not done a thing to resolve my issues except send me a generic e-mail referring to their website. LG responds to these reviews, stating this is not a normal customer experience.LG fought a class action suit, lost, and had an appeal dismissed on their faulty compressor issues. And they have yet to fulfill their obligations in the settlement. This is the routine for LG customers, not the exception. Search: LG REFRIGERATOR CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT BENTLEY, ET AL. V. Purchased LG appliance package from Home Depot 11/12/11. June of 2015 the microwave blew up and will not function. Contacted a repairman who was told by LG service this microwave was no longer manufactured and no parts available. I purchased a new microwave only to find out that I can no longer get a microwave with the dimensions of 29 1/2L x 15 1/2H x 15D. Unfortunately, we have previously installed new glass backsplash tiles which will have to be cut to fit a new microwave. These were special order tiles! When I contacted LG, I was told, Sorry, we now have a throw away society. This was after 3 different calls to customer service and being told my case was in for review! Also concerned about larger dimensions leaving only 13 3/4 clearance between stovetop and microwave.

I can honestly say that I will not buy another LG product because of this experience. My husband says to sell it on Craigslist and get something else. I cant do that to another innocent victim. Loved my French door refrigerator. Today, noticed freezer not too cold. Cleaned back of fridge, nothing changed. Went on website, said contact service. Put in zip code, gave me a service place 30 plus. Ike’s away. Called repair service under 5 miles away, only to be told I am the second customer TODAY with this fridge problem. “Very common problem with LG. They knew they had issues with the compressors.” Well, I am grateful my 2004 Kenmore fridge is still working fine, no repairs ever, because all my food is in there now. Told compressor will take a few days... Have an LG dishwasher have no issues. Guess what, no more LG appliances for me. If they knew there was a problem, step up and fix it. I think that’s all we would expect. Stand behind your product. Do the right thing. Fix the issue and pay for all expenses not just the compressor. Your fridge was not cheap!!!

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

I purchased an LG top load washer in 3/11 from Best Buy. I had unbalance issues almost from the start. Finally May this year, I contacted a service repair to find out what is going on. They couldnt figure out the problem and called LG for answers. It got them nowhere. I called LG and found out my washer had a recall and they would have a service repair done. They scheduled an appointment that a part had to be ordered so the date had to be changed. 10 days later, the part was put in my washer. It still doesnt work right. I have had 3 service calls on it. Everyone tells me my washer has so many problems dont bother getting it fixed. I have tried to talk to someone at LG to be transferred from one dept. to the next to emailing. The website wont let me make a complaint. I was sent a survey and did let them know my washer still doesnt work and Im very dissatisfied with LG. I have tried everything I can think of to get answers to fix a 2-year old washer. Now Im being told just to buy a new washer. LG service is terrible and their product sucks. I will never buy anything from LG again.

We purchased the Lg fridge model # LSC26905TT Serial # 706MRBW15621 in March 2008 from Best Buy. In August 2013 we discovered that at some point the hose in the back of the fridge feeding water into the ice maker and water dispenser had been leaking. Our basement as well as items in our basement were soaked and some things were ruined as well as the floor under the fridge and the surrounding cabinets. I made several attempts to contact the company directly via e-mail, which was the only information I could seem to find, when we discovered that the hose wasnt just leaking but it had burst for no apparent reason. I got no response at the time and gave up, calling Best Buy Geek Squad to make the repairs, being told by the repair person that it was rather unusual that the hose had burst and seemed to be a defect in the materials. In the following year I had noticed a sticky substance oozing from around the front of the freezer causing extensive damage to the seal around the freezer. The edges around the front of the freezer become extremely hot. There was a very loud squealing coming from something off and on and most recently I heard a sound of dripping water and discovered upon removing the back of the unit that water was dripping from an unidentified area and pooling at the bottom. We cleaned this up and I called Best Buy Geek Squad to look at it for possible repairs. When explaining all of the issues they told us to call Lg directly and provided a customer service number and I was able to reach someone directly this time. On October 1st a repair man by the name of Maximo came to the house and said that he had never seen the problems we were having. He took pictures and live streamed them to the home office, telling us to call in 3 business days to check on the repair status. He also said that he had noticed singe marks near/around some of the coils and to stop using the fridge as it was a fire hazard. When I called (the next day, not 3 business days later) I was told they could not tell me what they are thinking of doing but they definitely could not make any repairs to the fridge. I was told they would decide to either replace the fridge or give us some sort of a refund check. I explained I have a toddler in the house and not having a fridge for an undetermined amount of time is difficult and the woman by the name of Angelica told me she would make a note to expedite the decision. Oct 6th was the third business day and I was still not told what they intended to do just that I needed to provide a receipt of purchase. Again I explained I have a small child and need to provide items such as milk for her and would like to know how long it would be and I was told only when we provide the receipt could they proceed with their decision. One day later, Oct 7th I was finally told by a woman named Barbara that when they receive the receipt they would determine a prorated refund to provide. She was very rude hanging up on me but not before speaking to me as though I was a child, when in fact I am an upset dissatisfied customer with a defective fridge that I thought just needed a bit of repairs and now I am being told they cannot fix it because they dont even know what is wrong with it yet we are responsible for purchasing a new fridge out of pocket. I did also speak with her supervisor by the name of Michael. He was very kind but not very helpful, again telling me it would be a prorated refund of most likely only about $200. This was a $1500 fridge that is only 6 years old that is broken due to manufacturer defect and I find that to be an unacceptable solution, especially considering the fridge was a fire hazard and could have set my house on fire at any time of the day or night putting my entire family at risk including my daughter who is not yet 2 years of age, and this is all due to manufacturer defect, not something the customer has done yet the customer is the one made to deal with all the consequences. I dont know of any other brand fridge that breaks after only 6 years of use and the company obviously doesnt stand behind their products seeing as they are not willing or able to fix the problem, and in researching Lg further I see there are hundreds of similar complaints against the quality of their products as well as their poor customer service. This consumer will never purchase Lg again.

I originally gave LG a poor product review regarding my LG fridge. The control panel, icemaker, and water dispenser stopped working. It got off to a rough start working with LG customer service. It took a couple of visits from the LG technician to figure out that the left door would have to be replaced. This was an expensive repair. I contacted LG and requested assistance with the cost of the repair. It took a while (about three weeks), but LG stepped up and bought the part and I paid the labor. My fridge is 4 years old and long out of warranty. Its not lost on me that LG didnt have to do anything. LG is the first appliance/electronics company that did anything for me out of warranty. I should also add that the LG technician was very professional and reliable. Overall, LG turn me around from frankly a pissed off customer to a loyal customer. LG will be first on my list next time Im in the market for appliances, televisions, etc. The only reason I didnt give LG a full five stars was it just took so long to get my fridge fixed and it took several phone calls to LG customer service before I found and agent who took and interest and went to bat for me. I think her name was Marsee. Im not sure about the spelling. One last thing, LG does not mark up their parts. I checked. If you have an issue with an LG product, make sure you use LG technicians. If you call and independent outfit, you can expect that they will (in some cases) mark up the parts double.

In 2003, we purchased an LG refrigerator. Its top of the line. Immediately after, the ice maker got jammed. Getting ice out is a big problem. Now, 7 years later, the water line is splitting. It ruined our wood floor. It happened because water is seeping. My husband tried to fix it, but the line kept splitting. The LG customer service person said that because my husband didnt save the piece he tried to replace it with, they couldnt help us. We had to shut off our water line to the fridge. So, we have no ice or water. And our very expensive flooring is ruined. We have gotten runaround from the company. And now, she says shes on vacation for weeks.

Please learn from my mistake. In January 2018 I purchase over $6200 worth of LG products (Stove, Microwave, Refrigerator, Washer & Dryer). Within the first month, the stove started to smell like it had a gas leak. We called their repairman and he couldnt find anything. We kept smelling gas and called him back and he still couldnt find the problem. We had to turn off the gas after each use because we felt leaving it on was such a hazard. After 12 months, the microwave stove working. Now the refrigerator. We just purchased a different brand stove which works great! We have a LG graveyard started, its just a matter of time before the rest of the appliances end up there.

I bought my French door LG refrigerator in Jan 2018. Now - in March 2018 it is no longer cooling. I bought the extended warranty through Lowes. They sent a tech to assess the problem. Compressor needs replacing. After only 14 months of use! Yes the extended warranty (that I paid $269 for) covers the expense of fixing it - but the tech had to order the parts so am still without fridge until those parts come in and he can get back here to fix it. Am very disappointed in LG! Won’t buy this brand again. Am concerned to be thinking I may have to replace the compressor on a yearly basis.

We bought a $2500 stainless steel model # LMX 5307465/00 LG refrigerator at Home Depot which has had two issues in less than one year with the ice maker. Luckily, the water that leaked onto our wood floors did not completely damage them but we wanted a new fridge and were told NO. I think the customer service is lacking as it took over 4 days to get a repair person to our house and we ended up throwing away all the food in the freezer because it was ruined due to the refrigerator issue. We bought our LG refrigerator and stove. It has a stainless steel kind of finish on it. We have had several stainless steel stoves and refrigerators. None of them had a bad cheap finish as this new one. What kind of horrible finish is this? When we get a glass of water and some water leaks down on the finish, you can see it and it doesnt come off. We have tried all sorts of products made for stainless finishes. Nothing seems to work. If you have a nice kitchen and you want some appliances that look good and clean, never buy one that has this finish. It makes our kitchen look unkept. The appliance is good except for the finish. And I see this and am saddened that they make a good product, and put a cheap finish on the appliance. I have extended warranty, but the warranty doesnt cover a bad finish.

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

We have an LG TV and it was a decent TV so when we decided to buy a new refrigerator, we looked at Costco and decided that LG was what we wanted to go with. I purchased it with Amazon and purchasing from them is always good so I had no problems there. But the quality of the refrigerator itself is bad. It was faulty and broken. I returned it immediately. I did not wanna risk the same thing because the repair guy who came out from A&E said that even though that wasn’t the problem with most LG refrigerators, the compression unit was definitely something that went out within the first 18 months. The repair guy would actually recommend GE over LG any day of the week. And customer service was terrible as well. I had several issues, especially since the LG product leaked water uncontrollably out of the ice compartment. There was nothing that we were pushing either. It was just dripping. We ended up having some water damage to our wood floors and Im still trying to get LG to pay for that. It’s been over a month.

Purchased a new counter depth LG refrigerator in April 2015 due to the remodeling of our kitchen. Unit was delivered in May and put into operation during early June 2015. Unit ran fine without problem during the warranty period (one year). In late July 2016, approximately 2 months after the warranty expired we experience ice forming on the back of the inside of the unit. Eventually the fan started making noise and the temperature inside did not seem cold. The unit then displayed a code of rf. Since it was out of warranty, I researched LG refrigerator problems and now realized all the issues with LG and their lack of customer care, so I called Sears Home Service. The technician visited the house, inspected the unit, researching the error code and determined the problem was a failed motherboard. Technician ordered a motherboard and advised he would come back when we received the motherboard. We received the motherboard a few days later, advised the technician of the receipt. He promptly came out the next day and replaced. In summary and based on other reviews, I am just another customer who bought a LG refrigerator for a couple of grand and just after the warranty period had to pay approximately $500 to enable the unit to operate. LG might look good but either the design or quality of parts is inferior because it appears my problem was not unique. Advice to future purchasers is avoid LG. Look for a reliable brand.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

Follow up on my three-yr refrigerator that broke down, not even the lights turn on. Last Friday, the repairman was to arrive between 1pm and 5pm. I do not reside at the rental. At 2:43pm, I called their 800# and told them to have the repairman call me on my cell that I would be at my aunts house who lives 3 blocks away on the same street. The woman said, No problem, he will call you before he arrives. At 3;30 I called back. And asked what time was the man arriving. They responded this call has been cancelled, he arrived and left. I said he never called me on my cell, I am still waiting. They responded there is nothing we can do, call center is closed. I asked them what country are they in that the call center is closed. She said the call center is in Alabama and they are closed. They only work from 8-5pm. The woman in India never told the repairman to call me on the cell and I dont think that those people can call the repairman. The only one that can call is a supervisor and he is in another building. When I requested a supervisor, it took me 20 minutes on hold to finally speak to one. At the end, he ended up hanging up on me. Now I contacted Sears and will wait for them to find out if my refrigerator has a solution or do I just lose the $1500.00 that I paid four yrs ago. I refuse to pay $400.00 to repair a refrigerator that is not worth repairing. Never buy an LG product.

I purchased an LG kitchen suite from Costco because of the ratings and reputation of both companies. After less than 2 years we started having issues with the food not being cold. We ran all diagnostics and it said nothing was wrong. Now, a little over 3 years later, the freezer and fridge do not work. The repairman gave us a quote that was higher than the price of a new fridge, which I can’t afford. I just don’t understand how the compressor died so quickly. And according to the repairman, the unit will never be the same even after repairing this part. We purchased all brand new top of the line LG products 3 years ago. A few months ago the ice machine stopped working and I contacted LG support and they went thru all the steps and unable to fix but I lived with it as it was only an inconvenience. Based on the research I have done, LG was quite aware that within months of the ice maker going the fridge compressor would fail. They never mentioned this once. After losing hundreds of dollars of food, I reached out to LG which advised to have a repairman come. For $125 he came and as soon as he saw the make and model he advised LG has a known issue which they refuse to correct and have a class action lawsuit against them. He offered to repair but the part is @ $800 and to top it off they would put the same faulty part back in which will also inevitably fail. I found out after I did purchase a 10 year part warranty and LG set up a repair appointment with their contractor for a week later. The day before the appointment I received a reminder and a request to call the company, A & E, if parts were not already delivered. I was told the parts were not being delivered until the day after the repair appointment? Both LG and their contractor A&E customer service were unhelpful and kept blaming each other for the issue. I was promised numerous phone calls with no timely response or resolution. I took off of work to wait for a repairman who cant repair anything and are being told the next available appointment is in another 2 weeks? I have 3 children at home and no way to keep any food for them. I did not complain when the icemaker failed nor request compensation for the lost food because the appointment for repairs was scheduled. Now because of the lack of support and the incompetency of LG, I will be pursuing all the expenses including the several meals which needed to be purchased from restaurants. All LG needed to do was accept the fact they manufactured a poor product and resolve the issue and I would still be a supporter for the company. The deceit and unwillingness to fix their mistake is unacceptable. I am still waiting without a refrigerator and hoping the other LG products in my home, double oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer do not break.

Updated on 07/25/2019: I thought I would be coming back here to change my rating. An LG rep contacted me in private conversation on this site after I posted my original review. He promised in writing (sent the transcript to LGs repair website) to fix the problem with no charge. I spent hours of submitting the required pictures, information, and the transcript of the conversation. The rep who spoke with me and reviewed the conversation said that since I was promised a courtesy repair and since I submitted the proof, that an LG rep would be contacting me by phone within the next two days. Instead, I just received an email in my junk mail that THEY COULD NOT APPROVE THE REPAIR. So, my original review stands at one star. It should be lower because they did not follow through on their promise. On my original review, it states Resolution in Progress. SADLY, THEY HAVE NO INTENTION ON RESOLVING THIS. It would have been better for them to turn me down OR NOT OFFER in the first place than promise the courtesy repair and renege. I DIDNT ASK THEM TO FIX IT, I was just writing a review on their product. They offered to fix it. Never again will I buy and LG product. And I will discourage all my friends and acquaintances against it. Dont buy anything LG--there are so many other better brands out there with real customer service!Original review: We purchased an LG refrigerator and almost immediately the covering on the control panel started peeling. Its my fault that I didnt take care of it right away, but it was only cosmetic. At the time, we were in the middle of a military move and had many other things that needed attention. The fridge is only 6 years old, but now the peeling has almost reached the fonts that tell you what your choices are. As it peels, it turns black underneath so once it reaches the wording, we wont be able to read the available choices. The customer service rep says it will be $125.00 to send someone out and they do not sell the required part to customers. Only a technician can bring the part. Cheap product- wont buy again.

Then, the local technician tried to fix it, but they couldnt. Finally, I was told they couldn’t do it and LG was going to replace the refrigerator. I called LG and they told me that they would have to send their own technician. That took almost two months and finally, the LG technician came to my house and changed a part.At that period, I lost a lot of food and the medications of my mom and my son. I bought every day from the store so I lost almost $1,500. I followed up with LG and they told me they were going to compensate me for 1,500. After the refrigerator was fixed, they called me and told me they can pay only $250 reimbursements food loss. Right now, the refrigerator is working but my main concern is who’s going to pay for my loss. I have too many problems and at the same time, I got a refrigerator problem. It’s too much headache.

We purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot on the 19th of January 2011. This fridge went hot and destroyed most of our food on July 13th, 2011. I called LG and they ended up getting a technician out to the house that afternoon. LG said the issue was the control board, but the tech thought there was more. He ordered a compressor as well. Home Depot gave us a fridge to use in the mean time. They returned to fix this on the 26th of July. The panel didnt solve the issue so the tech went to install the compressor and found there was no freon in the system. LG didnt believe this was the problem after two days of waiting, so the tech had to come back on Friday on the 29th of July to install an evaporator with UV chemical in it. The fridge had a bunch of freon on the charge side indicating a blockage somewhere in the system. We had to run the fridge for all weekend and then late Monday, came back to find it still was not cooling or working. LG, at this time, said they may replace it. After a bunch of calls to LG and getting nowhere, we finally are being told they will replace it. This is another 7-10 business days with no fridge and no results. LG informed us that they will NOT pay for destroyed food. I would not purchase another LG product. We have 4 other LG products in our house not including this fridge. The customer service sucks and response times are unacceptable.

LG Microwave Model # LMH2016St Serial # 212 AQP3 X244 purchased on 2/13/2013 from HHGregg costing $338.99 with installation costing $149.99 plus taxes at $16.95 has blown a fan and melted the cover on the fan. It seems to me that a microwave that cost that much should last longer than 2 and 1/2 years. I would not recommend an LG product from my experience. The company offers no help at all in regards to this problem.

Bought an LG DLGX5681 (white) at Lowes on 7/7/14 and on 3/1/15 it just stopped spinning. Only washing maybe 6-8 lbs of wet white clothes straight from the LG washer, which seems to do well. I got one revolution after I turned it on and off and manually changed the load from medium to load, but only one spin before it cut out again. Do NOT buy LG. I read the consumer reports. I purchased based on their recommendations. Dont buy consumer reports. I think theyre being paid.

After just over two years, both refrigerator & freezer stopped cooling. Our utility company provides Appliance Protection service, however, after waiting a month, the technician informed me that it is the compressor. When we purchased dry ice to save our frozen foods, I told the merchant about my problem. He told me at least a dozen people with LG or Samsung refrigerators had the same problem. The problem seems to be a common issue.

Spent almost $3000 less than 3 years ago on a refrigerator. On April 7 it just quit cooling.... I understand things happen but the customer service I received trying to get it repaired was terrible!! I finally had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to get a buy back. But I went over 2 months without a fridge. 2 months of dealing with LG who really cared less about my issues. There is a class action lawsuit happening. LG do the right thing and recall the fridges instead of putting people through this headache. Picture is the fridge going to the landfill.

Bought LG French door fridge for $3275.00. Compressor went out in less than three years. Floor damaged and food lost, as we were not home that weekend. Called LG, they said try to find someone to work on it. Had two different repairman out, neither would work on it since its due to the compressor. Something about closed systems. Sears repair said they dont work with warranties and Best Buy said they didnt have a qualified person to work on it. Went through the Holidays with without that fridge. Been on the phone many times with LG, only to be told theyll call me back, but have not. Its been over a month now. I dont know what to do, its still under warranty. My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator a couple of month ago (model: LFXS28968). Roughly, two weeks ago we got a code on the digital display screen indicating dH (Freezer) and F (refrigerator). I called in a repair request to your service department (the unit was still under warranty) and sent the service department both a sales receipt and a purchase order from the stored it was bought. They scheduled a service technician to come out to look at the unit. He never came to look at the unit but said he would order the part due to the nature of the display screen read out. He also told me that if the service department did not call me within three days I would be entitled to a new unit (I guess beyond that time the food would begin to spoil). After not hearing from anyone for the past three days I tried to get in touch with the technician at least five times by both cell phone and text messaging. Absolutely no response. Then, I called the service department which was no help at all. They could not get in touch with the technician nor could they trace the part which they claimed they ordered. They said they would look into it and get back in touch with me. Guess what? they never got back in touch with me. Then I had to get in touch with a supervisor who still could not reach the technician nor trace the supposed part. The next day I spoke to a different supervisor who again could not get in touch with the technician nor located the part. The next day I called and wanted to speak to a manager from the LG Corporation. Instead I spoke to another supervisor who indicated the part was ordered from Korean and was on its way.I asked her what kind of compensation would I receive for all of spoiled food (both the refrigerator and freezer). I received a mere $150.00. Instead LG could have resolved the problem by supplying me with a new unit within the three day time frame. They decided to prolong the problem and that stretched into two weeks. This has been one of the most frustrating situations I have ever been involved in. The level of incompetence, and lack of empathy towards their customers is incomprehensible. Seldom do I write reviews but this is an exception. I hope anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a LG refrigerator will do their homework on the LG brand. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I recommend this product to any of my friends.

Ive only had my LG appliances for just 3 years. In the first year, I had a problem with the control panel on my stove. The oven/broiler did not work. I called repair. They came out and fixed it (no charge) only to have to call again almost a year later for the exact same problem. I found out that the repairman only CLEANED the unit and put the same thing back in the first visit. Now he had to replace it. Ive had problems with the top basket of the dishwasher. Its off-track and does not stay where it is supposed to.I always have to take special precautions when I pull out the top rack, fear of it dropping!! And last, now its my microwave. It just stop turning and heating up!! Thats it!!! Im so through with LG products!! Ive been a homemaker for 36 years and I will never buy an LG anything!!! I bought an LG Dishwasher in October of 2017. In March of 2019 (less than a year and a half later), the electrical control panel stopped working so I was unable to use the product. Since it was 5 months past the warranty, I was charged $135.31 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I was informed that I would then have to pay for the repair and labor after the technician ordered the new part. When the technician arrived, he had a new electronic control panel (so he already knew what the problem was before even looking at the dishwasher) and told me that I would not be charged for the repair or labor because this was such a common problem - that they had the NEW MODIFIED electrical control panels in stock. He said that in the NEW MODIFIED control panels, they have added a moisture barrier because in the old version, moisture from steam would get into the control panel and ruin the electrical system. I asked him why there hasnt been a recall on this product since it was so common, and he said that he didnt know why but there has been a Service Bulletin released regarding this same issue. I then called customer service to get a refund of the $135.31 that I already paid, and they would not give a refund even after being escalated to a supervisor. I asked to be escalated again and was informed that he could not do that. I tried to call the President of the company and got no answer and no way of leaving a VM or email. Considering this is a COMMON DEFECT in the product and a modified control panel has been created for this issue, there should be a recall and all expenses paid. I want my refund of $135.31 since this was LGs defective product and not anything that I could control! A complaint with the BBB has been filed and I will continue to let people know that they should stay away from LG products.

I purchased an LG just under 3 years ago. At the end of May 2014, the freezer stopped working. On June 2nd, I had an LG certified company come out to repair it. As it turned out the heating element at the bottom of the freezer melted the plastic back panel on the inside. THEREIN is where all the torment has ensued!!!! They would have to ORDER the panel and as of Today August 11th, 2014 even after contacting LG directly, I still DO NOT have a panel or a fridge that works. IT CONTINUES TO BE ON BACK ORDER and LG did not know if they could help me unless I purchased the fridge from an AUTHORIZED DEALER, who cares where I purchased the fridge? I paid for it, it is THEIR product. If Im willing to pay to get the 65.00 part who cares where I purchased the fridge? LG has been of NO help whatsoever!!!!!! I cant believe it truly matters where an item is purchased. IT is their product and they should care about taking care of the customer... I purchased an LG refrigerator on June 4, 2019. LG delivered the refrigerator a few weeks later and unfortunately, it was severely damaged when it arrived at my residence. The delivery company returned the damaged unit and delivered another refrigerator a week later. The 2nd refrigerators left door contained the water and ice dispenser of which neither worked. I spoke with LG customer service and they indicated that a local repair company would come out and assess the issue. National Platinum Services was the local company and it took them two weeks to show up and when they did, they were not able to diagnose the problem. There has been no follow up since they left so currently I am still waiting on how this situation is going to be resolved. Bottom line is that LG doesnt seem to value good customer service so in the future I will look elsewhere when shopping for any product that they may market to the public.

Purchased Lsc5683ws electric range from Goemans Appliances, Cambridge in January 2010. Cost was $1650++. Electrics failed in October 2013. Paid $175.00 for service call and repair. Three weeks later exact same problem. It was fixed again. Used the self clean for the 3rd time only. After completion noticed the blue enamel was coming off. Also had a very strong smell when turned on. March 2015 unit shut down completely. No electronics again, but this time the oven kept heating. Guessing temperature was over 500 degrees. Had to unplug at wall to cut power supply. Feeling very vulnerable to starting a fire. Spent approximately 2-3 hours on phone with LG customer service in the Philippines. Was cut off twice. Uploaded required invoice as requested. Phoned again 2 days later. Sent invoice again. Still waiting on response from advanced team as to what (if anything) they will do for me. Returned to store for help, but they offer no help unless you have purchased their extra insurance. This situation is appalling to me. Do not buy LG. What a waste of money and time.

We purchased a LG Washer and Dryer on March 26th 2011. On September 23rd 2011, the Washer (WT5101HW) created a very large bang and on inspection, we found the washer had rotated more then 100 degrees on itself, luckily not tearing the water lines from the connections. The top portion of the machine, lid and control panel, were no longer connected to the main chassis and were lying to one side. The drum was not on any of its mounts and the side panels around the drum were all pushed out, as if there had been an internal explosion. I now have two significant holes in the dry wall walls on either side of the unit and the thought that if any of my children were in the vicinity when this happened, they could have experienced serious injury or worse. We are in the process of working with LG on this issue but after reading the list of complaints about LGs lack of customer support, I am not optimistic of a satisfactory resolution.

I bought an LG over the stove exhaust hood microwave in September 2009. Less than a year later, the door cracked along the frame. This hood was covered under warranty. Again, in 9 months, the second door did the same thing. I was referred to Warner Stellians headquarters customer service. Susan ** dealt with LG, who said too much time had lapsed since the original warranty expired. She then contacted their sales rep who came back with the same response. Therefore, Warners Stellian will do nothing about the door. I think the second door should have been under warranty because it was a new door. Otherwise, the microwave should be replaced. The plastic construction of the microwave door is defective; its failed twice, both times within 9 months of installation.

Not even a month after we purchased the matching LG front load steam washer and dryer we started having issues. The washer started leaking water from the door when it was running. Maintenance guy came out and basically told us it was our fault. Now a year later, when we open the dryer it literally smells like we have farm animals living in the dryer. Maintenance guy comes out and once again its our fault. These machines are high maintenance and require a complete wipe down after every use. Wipe down the gaskets the doors and leave them open to air out (we have a toddler yeah thats safe) Dryer had to be semi disassembled and the amount of lint the bypasses the filter is INSANE! Why even have a filter it doesnt look like it catches anything! Them wiped down with bleach and sprayed with white vinegar. This is ridiculous and we will never go with another LG appliance ever again.

Im not too happy with my LG refrigerator after looking into a lot of information and a lot of reviews. Apparently, theres been a lot of problems with their compressors. And it doesnt seem like LG is proactive about going and fixing them because I finally had a problem with my compressor this year. The unit wasnt getting cold at all and we had noticed periodically where it felt like it wasnt cooling enough. We just chalked it up in the air whether it was too hot of a day or too cold of a day, and maybe we didnt have that, we had the house too hot and left it at that. And then, all of a sudden, within three days, it just stopped working.Trying to get LG to come out and fix the issue was like pulling teeth. Apparently though, LG was aware of what the issue was. They didnt give me any problems as far as getting it fixed. But there was a lot of miscommunication internally at LG because they gave me one company that they were gonna have fix the situation, and when I finally contacted them because I hadnt heard from them, they said, We dont work with LG anymore, and I had to call LG and tell them what the company said. So, we were gonna use this other company. It was the same thing. LG gave me the information for that company and I called them immediately. They said some of the same thing. Then finally, the third company was the one that still worked with LG. And then, that had taken almost two weeks to get my refrigerator fixed. At this point, it seems to be running properly. It seems to be making a little bit of noise. So, Im gonna contact the repair people and ask them to come check it out because it makes humming noise that it didnt make before.I have mentioned it to other people and as good friends of mine, they just bought the same refrigerator, and they experienced a similar problem to what we had. And we were told initially, Oh, its probably its seal, it didnt close right. But that was the way our problem started. And six months later, all of a sudden, the refrigerator went bad. But its a known problem with LG. My friends now are keeping a close eye on it.

In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. Its time you replace this dishwasher, as I am tired of having to arrange my schedule to fit in repairs that last less than a week.

The LG 4715 is the worst appliance — not oven, appliance — I’ve ever bought. One would think that there would be a simple way to set the temperature and turn it on. After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. They’re closed at supper time. Trust me — look elsewhere.

Didnt realize the dishwasher was leaking until the Pergo floor panels started curling up at the seams in front of the washer. The service man said our sump assembly seal was leaking from inside the washer.
