Love everything about this fridge, except it is so deep I can’t reach back....I’m 5’6’’ and to back of inside is DEEP. Other than that I really like the adjustable shelves, ice maker completely concealed in door, ability to have crushed ice, that is really crushed, middle drawer being temperature adjustable, and the large freezer. Outside is smudge proof and easy to keep.

Done with LG. The waveforce washer had to have the main circuit board replaced 3 times in the first 2 months of ownership. Nothing like spending this kind of money and still having to go to the coin op laundry... Within a year of ownership, the rust around the bleach dispenser was terrible and just continues to get worse.

The seals on my GM-B208STS French door fridge and the latch needed replacing in April 2013 after I had bought the fridge in November 2010. LG replaced them out of goodwill since I was 4 months out of warranty. Now, 13 months later, the seals are ripping in the same place.

I bought an LG fridge back in 2008. I tell you, its my worst experience with an LG brand. The fridge stopped freezing in eight months. I got someone to have a look at it and he said the cap tube was blocked. He went ahead and do his stuff. A couple of months later, same problem. Im telling you, that LG brand is no good at all. The ** fridge makes my light bill go up sky high. I cant hold it anymore. I have to talk out and encourage people not to buy an LG brand from my experience. LG needs to do better than they are doing right now. Model no. GM-343SL. Serial no. 711MRL16272.

Our Lg electric range knobs Model number LTE4815BD are on the front of the range and if you barely bump or brush by them they turn on. We’ve had pizza boxes burn, our wooden oven top cover and other items. My son is scared to death (he is a firefighter) and said this range is going to burn our house down. We literally can have nothing on top because if there is it will catch on fire with the slightest bump of the knob.

We have been using our new LG dishwasher approximately four weeks so I have actually turned it on about 5 times. Went to use it today and door would not close. When I did get it closed I could not open it. It was stuck. Husband finally got it open. Latch is defective. So when repairman comes Wednesday to fix my leaking (new) LG fridge guess he’ll be repairing a dishwasher also.

We decided to replace our stacking washer/dryer with a new front loading combo. While there are more features than you can shake a stick at, there is a nice electronic tune that plays at the end of a wash and the wash seems very efficient, the dryer is less performant. The standard dry cycle seems to take 6 hours and even though there is an option to dry for less, anything under 2 hours and the clothes are still wet. I'm still happy overall with the purchase - I like the easy-fill detergent/softener drawer, the build quality of the whole appliance and the large drum to hold the clothes so I would definitely recommend it to others.

I purchased a £1000.00 fridge freezer and have it warranted for 5 years, 2 with LG and 3 years with Curry’s. Fridge and freezer not working after 1 year 9 month. Took 8 days to come out and told me compressor was broke, so new one would take 8 day. After having to take a second day off work nobody turned up or called up to fit the new compressor. Phoned engineer who said I should have been called as compressor was broke so would need to order another. Gave me appointment for further 6 days to wait and I couldn’t get shift off so changed it to the Fri instead of the Wed. Appointment booked in.Few days after engineer should have visited a unnecessary part arrived at our home which would not fix freezer as engineer stated it was a compressor needed. Phone company LG use to fix freezer to find out why this part had arrived. Mentioned my appointment on the fri due and was told there was no such appointment. Even if they come out on fri I have had no fridge or freezer for exactly a month. Terrible customer service and will never buy another LG product ever again.

I bought an LG refrigerator two years ago on the advise of the salesperson. First mistake. I was told they had good service. Two years later the compressor went bad, no support from LG, the repairman said he could order the compressor but they were backed ordered and could take up to a month to get one in. His hourly rate over a $100 an hour. He told me he has replace over ten compressors in the last year. Cheaper to buy a new refrigerator. Would I buy another LG. No way.

I have called customer service 3 times about this machine, model # WM2240CW. They gave me two numbers to call. It will take a week to have someone come out to look at it. Meanwhile, I will spend my day off of work cleaning up all the water. The worst part is I have called twice before.

We purchased an LG French door with freezer drawer in bottom. Have had problems with mold developing along the door gaskets as doors do not closed properly. Yesterday, there was an odor that smelled like burning plastic. It smelled like some electrical insulation was burning. The smell diminished, but this morning we discovered that the electrical cord was burning at the outlet. I called the service contract people and was told that the electric cord was not covered, that if they sent someone out it would cost $100.00+. Drove to the local HHGregg store where we purchased it originally and spoke with the manager, which was as helpful as talking to the service provider. In my opinion, both Gregg and the service provider are dishonest about their policy coverage. It appears that I am not alone with this problem.

I purchased this door-in-door refrigerator October 2017, for my new home, at Home Depot. The store was my salvation in trying to get service for this unit as the right french door was 1 higher than the left, and the cooling fan made a high pitch whining noise whenever it kicked on. Sounds easy right? NOT! LG Service Center is a call center of sorts with questionnaires they read from, despite being told of the exact issue. 15 min later still nowhere. Called HD and they got the same result. After several different LG phone #s, Sue in Appliances at Cicero HD, succeeded in reaching the LG local service center and entered a claim for me. They were to call back with appt. I ended up calling them the next day, found out they are a computer repair center, and contacted HD to return this very expensive refrigerator. Thank you HD for all that you do and I will purchase anything but LG for the replacement.

We purchased and LG refrigerator and dishwasher about 2 years ago. Have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator, but it is working for now. The dishwasher will not clean the dishes. Because it is out of warranty, I called to get a service appointment set up only to be told that the price which I had been quoted by two of their representatives had gone up over $100 when I finally got to the department which could schedule the service. $100 in less than three minutes? I was told that it was due to sales tax. Total nonsense as nobody charges over 60% tax and we dont even pay tax on service calls in this state! After calling back, I managed to get the price back down to what was promised and secured an appointment for the next afternoon. The next morning I received an overnight-mail package. It was the pump for my dishwasher which had arrived before the technician could even look at the machine. Obviously LG has had this problem many times before if they know the problem before they can even look at the appliance! Why was there no recall of the defective part if the problem is that common? This company is to be avoided at all costs. They will lie to you and will do absolutely anything to avoid accepting responsibility for their worthless products! If there were a negative number of stars with which I could rate them, I would.

We purchased an LG refrigerator; it has French doors and with a bottom freezer. Shortly after it was installed, the freezer started accumulating ice. We had it repaired several times because the electronic circuits were defective, and the problem recurred. LG refuses to take responsibility for the problem even though they have re-designed the circuit board at least ten times. My repairman told me that they have this problem since the refrigerator came to the market. I have paid hundreds of dollars in service calls, and the last time I spoke to their customer service department I was met with complete indifference. I was told that there was nothing they could do for me. Another issue is with this unit is poorly designed; it has a very flimsy hardware for the crisper drawers that keep coming off the rails. That issue was also not acknowledged.

On May 9, 2016, our five-year-old LG French Door Refrigerator had a failure on the Linear Compressor. Working with our maintenance agreement (American Homebuyers Protection Corp), LG agreed to send the Linear Compressor part (under warranty) to a contractor (Appliance Wizard) working with American Home Buyers who would then install the part under our maintenance agreement. To this date, June 2, 2016 - 24 days later, the part has not arrived. Numerous calls have been made by us, American Homebuyers Corp, and Appliance Wizard. LG Customer Service consistently refuses to answer questions regarding the parts arrival or to allow tracking. LG Customer Service flat out refuses to let us speak to a manager. After more than a week of living out of an ice cooler, we purchased a less expensive refrigerator (certainly NOT LG) in order to live life at home without eating out or living out of ice cooler.LG has shown they do not care about their customers. Allowing a customer to go nearly a month without facilitating possible repairs is negligent beyond words and fraudulent under a warranty. Refusal to allow the customer or others who are working with that customer to determine the status of the repair (in this case - has the part been ordered as stated and if so, where is the part?) indicated LG should not be in the business requiring customer service. To say we are frustrated is just a pebble thrown into a large lake. Where is our recourse? At this point, we are not confident we will ever receive this warranted part! Posting on Facebook - writing this review - we will NEVER buy another LG Product. LG is a disreputable company. Be Aware!

This washer is a POS. The stinky clothes comes from it being too stingy on the water. Yes, its supposed to conserve water but if I dont want my clothes to stink then I have to run 2 extra rinses with each wash and then run a Rinse and Spin cycle once that is done. The problem is that these washers dont use enough water to rinse all the soap out, leaving some soap on the clothing fibers... which causes them to stink and stink worse once you start sweating in them. It sounds odd but the excess soap is actually getting funky in the clothes causing them to smell. Give it a try. Im going to sell my front loader for one that doesnt care about using less water. Id rather smell like Im clean than save water.

Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it failed to function after the recall software fix caused the machine to continuously give the uE, unbalanced error code. LG is trying to turn this issue into a warranty issue, rather than accepting responsibility for their failed software fix. Additionally, we were bombarded with extended warranty offers from LG between the time of the recall in December 2012 and the time we finally received our recall notice in early September 2013. We dont think this was a coincidence.Kudos to Barbara, Dave and Andrea at Mansfield, OH Best Buy. Best Buy refunded our original purchase price, pro-rated a refund of our unused extended warranty and gave us a discount on any new washer of our choice. I bought the washing machine because of the large tub. I assumed I would be able to do good size loads, very reasonable but large. Not the case. I also expected the machine to wash the cloths. My laundry is not unusually soiled in anyway just normal day to day of a retired couple. Even a white towel load with a cup of bleach and the towels were not clean. The machine has a glass top so I watched as I put the load through again. The towels on the top never even were cycled through the soapy water (what little water there was). Because of this they also did not get rinsed adequately. To see just how well they did get rinsed I again put the same towel load in not adding any soap to see if any was still in the towels. The wash looked as though I had put detergent in as usual. I had used the very small amount of the detergent as instructed. I wish I had researched this washer before buying as I NEVER would have bought it. I was blinded by the size of the tub and hope to warn anyone else considering this machine. I have had it 3 weeks and will try to return it to Home Depot where I bought it but I am doubtful I will get very far with that.

Our LG range was purchased July 12 2018. Three months later in October we got an F3 error on the panel. We called for service and 4 times a technician was sent out to replace the panel but no one ever ordered the part. So week after week waiting for either a part or just replace the range we were not able to cook for three weeks. Again we called and was advised to submit a claim with receipts, we did that. Then after customer service advised us we needed to show PROOF of purchase. After 45 minutes on HOLD we were at that time advised they will only allow $150.00. No one ever explained this at all. Home Depot said after 48 hours its the manufacturer. LG is now saying its the parts A&E appliance specialist that should have deemed it not repairable but LG said it has to break 3 times... The refrigerators main CKT board failed (blown fuse) 7 months after purchase on 3/12/2009 resulting in spoiled food. LGs authorized repairs first repair was to jump the fuse. After complaints, I received a new board, which the repair facility installed. I kept the old board. Last week the start relay on the compressor failed also resulting in a loss of several hundred dollars in food. Contacted LG and they referred me to Encompass after I received the so-called replacement relay from Repair Clinic. (It had 2 terminals that plug into the compressor and was not the correct part, which is a 3 terminal device (relay/OLP) with 2 receptacles on the opposite side for the start capacitor and 2 spade connectors for the power (line and neutral). (An easy repair if you have the correct part.) Contacted at least 3 other part suppliers including Encompass and all had the same information and same wrong part. After spending $1600 for this appliance and losing hundreds of dollars in spoiled food and many hours trying to contact LG technicians, I have temporarily hooked up a Supco 3 in 1 (relay, OLP, and the original capacitor). I am a retired physics and electricity teacher (41 years experience) and I think their support is terrible. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. The pictures submitted show the original relay, the two replacement parts (relay and overload protector), manufacturers tag and receipt).

After the first six to ten months of use, I struggled to figure out what I was doing wrong. Very often, the clothing would actually come out smelling worse than when they went in. Lint and dirt particles were left inside the tub, on my clothing and in the laundry basket. This issue increased in degree as the months went by. The LG design places an odd drain tube and plastic filter at the front bottom which requires cleaning periodically. But actually, it is a reservoir for dirty water and also, the filter rarely had much lint or pet hair on it.I am a senior citizen and I never imagined such a design would even exist. The dirt, lint and pet hair rarely reach the filter and just build up in the washer. I have had to remove the plug, replace it with a clamp and open the drain onto the floor after every load. The instructions want you to get on the floor and find a bowl low enough for gravity to fill it, but not spill it when theres more water than will fit in a typical bowl. The washer needs special cleaning very often and the whole process is utterly ridiculous. I have spoken with customer service and my issue was moved up to the manager, but the company has shown no interest in customer satisfaction at all. Having a Kenmore front loader previous to this is like changing from the best to the worst imaginable.

We called LG for service and their diagnostic testing resolution was to not open the refrigerator door too often. We responded that opening the doors should not cause the ice machine to malfunction. We did lose food and LG reimbursed us up to $300.00 for the loss. There is no way that a $4000.00 fridge should be breaking down this fast. We have had models costing far less (hundreds) that has lasted 15-20 years: the repair man stated these smart models will only be lasting 6-8 years. Ours hasnt lasted six months to just over a year. My advise, keep it simple, and avoid LG products. There was a local news story that LG contracts out the parts production to many different smaller companies all over the world, so they cant be blamed for their lemons. One must sue the parts company.

Not really happy with the machine nor LG customer service. My fiancé got a really good deal on the washer but a year later, we found out why the machine was discontinued. We could not take the machine back nor get our money back. We had the update and now I regret purchasing this machine. Some days I feel like the machine will still blow. I dont like how it bangs against the sides. It tends to keep running. What was a water saver is not a water saver no more. LG has really bad customer service and I think they should be giving refunds out. I cannot afford to buy a New machine and cannot sell this machine because I will never get my money back for the machine. For something that LG might have known about before they recalled the machine.

Bought LG washer and dryer just over 6 years ago. Had no problems till today when the dryer started to thump. I am a retired millwright-machinist and have repaired washers and dryers as part of my job for years in a large hospital. I took the dryer apart to discover the drum was cracked on the welded seam. My extended warranty ran out in March. Called the Warranty Department at LG and was told they never heard of such a thing and could not help me (I did tell them that there were hundreds of similar complaints on the internet). Called the local service company and was told a service call would be about $300 plus parts. They couldnt understand I already had it apart.I called another company and was told that I could buy a new drum for $133.58 but the drum was back east and it would take several weeks to have it shipped here, so I will weld the drum for now and order it at a later date. Not happy. The washer has performed O.K. but has a funky smell if you keep the door shut. We wash and dry about 4 loads per week so its not abused. Will not buy another LG.

LG washers & dryers steel drum cracked and flooded my utility room, den area kitchen and two hallways in our home. Resolution dept/LG Risk Management Dept. tactics are unethical. The drum/tub is only partially plastic not steel. LG told me I had to get my homeowners insurance to pay for floor damage. They are awful. I contacted a number of appliance retailers and told my story and their reply was, This is why we dont even carry LG. Their appliances are pretty but thats about all. Their appliance performance and dependability does not measure up in essence. Buyer beware with LG manufacturers!!

We purchased a new LG french door refrigerator from Spencers in January, 2015. The 2 year full warranty was purchased at that time. The refrigerator compressor broke in May, 2018. The compressor was warranted but NOT the LABOR ($600). After researching, found there are tons of LG compressors going bad. LG should stand up and warranty their bad products when they know there is a problem. There is only 2 of us using this appliance and should not have happened. $2,500+ and this is what we get. I will never purchase another LG product!!!

I have purchased an LG washer dryer model FH4U1JBH2N for £839.00, and I have received the appliance with a manufacturer defect. The washer dryer does not have the right control panel (no Drying option available on screen). No other option was offered apart from keeping the washer dryer and sending a technician to fix the defect. Imagine you purchase a cabrio car after checking the photos, the store and reviews. But you receive a regular family car... the manufacturer states that they can only come to you and cut the car open to transform it into a cabrio. In other word, you purchase a new machine, and it comes with a defect, and the manufacturer are not dependable for not meeting the specifications. What sort of company is LG? Would you like to do business with a company that does not care of the consumer/customer? Feels like, that what they see are just numbers... making profit out of people who trust a brand. DO NOT PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT unless you want to face poor customer care, poor after sales care, poor manners over the phone, poor quality of the product and most importantly 0 dependability. I had the washer-fake-dryer since the end of August 2016 and its useless as it does not do the job I purchased it for. The retailer does not want to recollect the product as they state it is LG which has to approve the recollection. LG states it is not their issue.

I bought a LG Refrigerator with Linear compressor on 2015 and last May 12th it stop cooling, I called LG service support and they told me one Technician will be checking the unit on May 25th, I had to be off from my job 1/2 day and the guy never came, I called LG again asking what happens with the tech and they has no explanation why the tech never went to check the unit, they asked me again to wait 3 to 4 more days so they can try to find another repair shop locally and suggested if I can get one close to my area they will pay for the parts and labor.I found one repair shop with a open appointment for the next day and after I called LG to confirm the appointment they denied the Sears shop because they has to pay an additional amount for their first visit, I had to wait 4 days and today called again and they says I have to wait 3 more days because one of their shops rejected the order??? This is ridiculous. Why customers has to be dealing with this kind of incompetence, 2 weeks without a refrigerator with children at home and with this pandemic forcing us to go to the stores every day is not what I was expecting from the LG company. 2 weeks later and still I have no solution for repair this refrigerator.

I purchased this LG washing machine, Model WT1101CW on May 29, 2014, from Best Buy. It was a replacement for my 20+-year-old Sears Kenmore washer. The LG machine does not clean my clothes because I believe, it does not supply enough water. I called LG to complain and was asked if the water supply line was metal or the flexible hose. My reply was metal, so LG told me it may help to replace it with the flexible! LG/Best Buy installed the machine, it is their responsibility to provide the suitable hose. However, was told that they would not pay to replace or reinstall. I was also told I may get more water if I washed everything on the Bulky cycle. Bottom line, my whites are dingy, my wash clothes sour after 2 uses and customer service stinks. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING BRANDED LG.

We bought a top load LG Direct Drive Inverter HE washing machine almost 18 months ago. The washing machine was supposed to be efficient on use of water and electricity. From the beginning we have not been able to complete ANY load without getting UE (uneven load) multiple times. The washer has been checked for level and balance and even with just an empty load it continues to get an UE code. Water usage has gone up as it never completes a load without going in UE mode multiple times. Electricity use has gone up. We cannot leave this washing machine and never expect for the load to complete. All settings have been tested and it makes no difference if a small or large load. WORST washing machine we have ever owned and will never buy an LG again. We were told when we purchased it from Home Depot it was a top of the line. It will be getting junked out this week and we will be purchasing another machine. Not LG and not from Home Depot. Apparently this is a known issue but there is no resolution and no compensation for those of us that have battled these machines over the last 12-24 months or longer.

Our new (under 2 year old side by side fridge/freezer) stopped cooling. I tried doing the smart diagnostic app and it said it was working fine. I tried to make sure doors were sealing fine, they were. I called LG. They said it might of done an auto defrost. I was told to unplug it and it would reset it that temp would return to normal in 12 hours. We woke up the next day to a flooded floor. All food in freezer was defrosted. Refrigerator was at 65*. I did the smart diagnosis again. It said it was fine. Called LG and sent them the diagnosis and they said to unplug and wait 6 hours. I lost all food and temp Kept dropping. I was told to put food in coolers. Most was trashed. I was told they could send a repair person in 2 weeks!!! I did the best I could with food in coolers but lost it all. LG was not helpful.A repair person came out earlier than quoted and it seemed to be working (known compressor failure) yet now temp is plummeting again. At this point I just want a full refund to buy a new non LG fridge. I’m hoping temp increases, yet I just emptied ice so hopefully if it fails it won’t ruin my new floor. I just bought food to replace the food lost. I have no other fridge at my home. 4 days and it’s not working again. Reading all these reviews makes me sad that this brand is allowed to sell these products and hold hard working families like mine hostage.

Model LFX28978SB - For the 2nd time in the last 4 months, I have thrown away all of the food in our LG refrigerator/freezer. This refrigerator had the compressor replaced 4 months ago and then again, one month later. Now, apparently, the electrical board needs to be replaced. This is a $2,300+ appliance that is less than 5 years old. Just talked to the company that is actually doing the repair and apparently LG wont overnight the part we need because they are paying for the repair. If we are lucky, the part could arrive by Monday at 4:00. Too bad I have two kids and a husband that require 3 meals a day. As far as appliances, LG does NOT provide customers with reliable refrigerators. LG customer service is by far, the worst I have ever had to deal with. Sorry LG, but life is not good with you!!!

After several calls to LG customer service (first call answered from Philippines) without answers. Today I call LG parts. They transfer me to east coast parts authorized store (NOT LG) and they gave me the 12-31-16 date. When I ask why take too long she said because the refrigerator is old and they do not stock parts from discontinued models. Sears sold 750 of this failing fans. That means they have a quality problem with the product and should have stock to resolve the inconvenience. Recommendation STAY AWAY FROM LG PRODUCTS.

We bought a new LG French door refrigerator model LFX28978ST from Sears. The refrigerator is under warranty - 7 year for sealed system and 10 yr linear compressor. We had enjoyed the refrigerator until it stopped generating any cool air in Jun 2016. We had contacted LG support, and LG technician came out 6 times to fix the same cooling issue. Every time the fix only lasted 2 days to maximum 10 days. The LG technician had been telling us the cooling issue is not fixable; however, LG corporate insisted its fixable. LG corporate also said they will continue to fix the issue with no consideration on the number of attempts! Anyone with common sense agrees 6 attempts is more than enough to prove its not fixable! When we suggested there is lemon law to protect consumers from repeated same issue; LG corporate said the law does not apply to appliance. LG corporation does not care about customer satisfaction and does not honor their written warranty. Its unfair for consumers to take this nonsense from big corporation. Where is accountability? My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator
My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator. I’ve had LG products in previous homes as well and although I’ve had to fix them from time to time they have been generally good products. So when it came time to purchase a dishwasher and a range oven I wanted to have a matching set so I went with the LG dishwasher and range oven.My refrigerator is 6 years old now and was not cooling down properly. I called your customer service line to see what could be done and they gave me the name and number of a local technician. I called and set up an appointment with Duncan Home Services. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor. Although it was an inconvenience, I was pleased to remember there was a 10 year warranty on the linear compressors that were in my model of refrigerator (LFX28968ST/01). I called customer service on April 22nd of 2019 to see about getting the compressor replaced. 44 days later and 7 hours, 21 minutes and 42 seconds on the phone with customer support… I still do not have the correct replacement for my faulty compressor.I was given a case number of **. I will detail my dissatisfaction with your call support team later but here is a summation of the issue. In response to my request for a warranty replacement of the compressor, the Tech was sent a compressor with the model number of TCA35533604. This part was identified as a “backup replacement”. The Tech had installed one of these in another refrigerator they worked on just like mine and they knew it didn’t work. Therefore they would not install it and charge me the labor. They determined the correct part was TCA35893202. When they called to order that part they were told it is on backorder until early July.I don’t know if you’ve ever gone without a refrigerator for 2 months but when one is used to it being there, it is ridiculously inconvenient. The summation of what I determined from your customer support team was that I had 3 options that are policies that they say are set by you. 1: Wait another month for the part to come in. 2: I was offered 20% off a new LG refrigerator. 3: If I could produce the receipt then I could be given a new refrigerator. My problems with the above proposals are as follows: 1: I’ve already waited a month and cannot wait another month for a part that may or may not come in. I will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator from one of your competitors. 2: An equivalent replacement refrigerator will be another $2000 minimum. 20% of that is $400. I don’t have $1600 available to buy from a company that is doing a horrible job honoring their Warranty. As I said, I’d prefer to buy from someone else. 3: I know that the refrigerator was purchased at Lowes, I know that it was on or near Black Friday of 2013 but I do not have the original receipt from 6 years ago.I proposed 2 solutions to the problem, but the customer service supervisor said that she didn’t have authority to do either of the 2 options and only you did. I proposed the following: 1: Since the Tech determined that the compressor that LG sent was incorrect they would not Warranty their work. Since I have to pay labor for the installation as that is past the warranty period of 5 years, that is a problem. LG could warranty the work of their tech so I am not on the hook for when the part doesn’t work.2: The correct part (TCA35893202) is available through local appliance parts outlets and retails for around $279. LG could provide a voucher to the tech to purchase the part locally. This would be the quickest and most cost effective solution for all parties in my opinion. So if you could authorize my Option 2 promptly that would be fantastic. I am merely asking for a timely and correct replacement for a warrantied part. Now I spoke with at least 6 different supervisors. They are the 2nd tier of customer support. I have no issue with the first tier of support. They were all professional and as helpful as they could be and got me to the 2nd tier fairly quickly on seven of my ten calls. The 2nd tier of individuals however were the opposite. All I was given were first names so that is all I can provide. They were; Daniel, Brea, Jessie, Jem, Jessica, and Tyesha.Daniel: Daniel informed me that he would send an email to the parts guy Cyrus about the availability of TCA35893202 and he would call me back. That was early May and I never heard from him. Brea: She was generally pleasant but couldn’t help me any. She told me the tech would have to call the parts department to see if the correct compressor was available. (The tech did call and was told that the correct compressor was on backorder.) Jessie: Jessie appeared to be helpful and told me that he/she was going to send an email to Cyrus as well to see if the part was truly back-ordered. If it was, he/she could issue a replacement refrigerator (Which surprised me and I did not ask for.) He/she said I would get a phone call later… I did not, again. Jem: I’m not sure if I have the name right but she basically hung up on me and sent me back to the 1st tier people. They put me back through to the supervisors and I got Jessica. Jessica: I wasn’t particularly pleasant with Jessica as I was beyond frustration at this point. She responded by being extremely unhelpful and refused to walk through the notes of the previous 7 or 8 calls I had made. I told her what Jessie had said earlier about the replacement but she told me there was no Jessie in her office. She ended up telling me that TCA35893202 was NOT back-ordered and it was available but the tech had to order it. (The tech did call again to order it and was told that the part was still back-ordered.) I feel that I was blatantly lied to.Jessie: Imagine my surprise when I in fact got Jessie again despite Jessica telling me there was no Jessie. This time Jessie offered me the 20% off a replacement refrigerator. I told her that was not satisfactory, nor was the waiting until July for the part and that I could not produce a 6 year old receipt. She put me on hold… for a really long time until… Tyesha picked up the line and I got to re-explain everything to her. Tyesha: She just continually reiterated my 3 unsatisfactory options and told me there was nothing she could do and my only recourse was to write you a letter. So here I am. Should this situation not be remedied by my Option 2 listed above or a better idea you come up with yourself I will never be purchasing any LG product again. I will also never recommend an LG product to any family or friends. Although they are not particularly effective against your bottom line, these are my only options for recourse and I will pursue them endlessly. Thank you. Mark **

I purchased LG washer and dryer (WM8100HVA, DLGX8101V) at the end of November 2019. On Dec 7 I called LG warranty center and report problem with Dryer. When I was able connected somebody on the line (person from Philippines) inform me my warranty expire a few day ago and they can send tech ($ 125 charge in advance no refundable for evaluation and the tech will quote the final cost of the repair). Is this is the LG policy to respond to customer during this Covid 19 when we try protect each others? (I dont wanted tech coming to my house and get infected.) I bought my refrigerator in December of 2006. In Feb. of 2008, the light stayed on all night and warped the liner. There were burn marks under light cover which looked like it was melted. Thank God that my repairman, the Appliance Man, is smart and honest. He told me that LG was having a big problem with that refrigerator and that it was a design flaw - A defect in (on) the board and a known defect. He also told me to tell LG that it was unrepairable. Amanda ** from LG agreed to replace it.When they delivered the new one I was told that the new one would not be under warranty -??? It hasnt been a problem since although little teeny nailhead size dents appear out of nowhere. The drawers are cheaply made and all have one problem or another. I decided to write about my experience as many comments in the reviews sound as though they experienced my same problem. Thankfully I have a great repairman that knows his stuff!

We have had an F3 error code issue for months, it threw the error for the first time 2 years to the month from date of manufacture. We have had the range for 26 months and the error for the last six months of that. After numerous calls with LG they would tell us to unplug the unit and at first that would clear the error only for it to return a few days to a week later, then when those calls resulted in the error never clearing they suggested that we have a tech out to fix it at our own expense since it was beyond warranty. After numerous visits from a LG referred appliance repair company, having LG first suggest we spend $200 on a part to replace the buttons, then when that didnt work asked to spend another $160 on the actual control panel part for the electronic system LG shipped a part for this stove which does not fit in the actual model we have. They apparently have discontinued the original part that is needed, at this point there is no part that fits our range which was manufactured 2 years ago in March 2018, we received the stove in June 2018 and have had issues with the F3 error button in a continuous shortage stage since about March 2020.This was not a cheap gas range. It cost ~$2,000 and to have spent $360 on parts + another $200 on labor at this point we are so frustrated. that is $560 that we could have put towards a stove that would not be a continuous pain the the side to have repaired, for an issue that should not be coming up so close to the manufacture date on an appliance of this cost only to find that they dont make the part we need any longer. I would not recommend purchasing a LG range to anyone I know.

This machine (LG wt5480cw) has been nothing but trouble. The detergent draw stayed full of water after every load I purchased the extended warranty thru LG coverage until 2019. They sent out a repairman 4 times finally fixed it. Now the tub will not drain completely so I called for repair. This is their customer Julies reply. We have been out there 3 times under the warranty and I have used up the money on those other calls even though they were for the same problem. They kept opening a new claim number (which they should have not done it was the problem). Now we are going to buy out the service contract for $267.00 leaving me out in the cold when I thought I was safe until 2019.So what is the sense in buying extended warranty if they deduct the service calls from the original price of the washer until it surpasses it purchase price then youre screwed. I could have paid for the service call without their RIP OFF EXTENDED WARRANTY CRAP and been ahead. Now I have $267.00 to replace a $900 washer. Please do not buy the extended warranty or better yet DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS.

The LG 4715 is the worst appliance — not oven, appliance — I’ve ever bought. One would think that there would be a simple way to set the temperature and turn it on. After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. They’re closed at supper time. Trust me — look elsewhere.

This results in the far end basket (one of 4) tipping over into the unit from the weight. The top rack organizing glasses, bowls or cups. Again items continually fall over. I (originally) thought adjustable times on both the top and bottom rack was a smart idea. Im sure it looked good on paper but its a complete and total failure. Nothing is secure. Nothing is reliable. Does LG even bother to test the equipment they build? From the bottom of my heart...if you see this dishwasher for sale please just run away as fast as you can!

We have had this dishwasher for about 1.5 years and it was never good. Here are some of the most frustrating things that have occurred with this piece of junk.1) The bottom rack never stayed on the track from day 1. That means no one in my family of 6 can put dishes in the bottom unless you lift the bottom rack and carry it out of the dishwasher fully. Its obscene. Because the bottom never ever stayed on the track, our 4 kids have bent the outer metal frame, and now it is a pile of junk.2) The racks around the entire dishwasher never stay up or in place, we are constantly trying to manipulate these glass racks to stay in place, but they dont.3) The silverware holder is a pile of garbage, never stays put, constantly trying to get it to stick in place.4) If you fill the bottom, none of the top dishes get cleaned.5) Every other wash, we get an error message of some sort that leaves the dishwasher unusable for a couple days. With a family of 6, and kids we are trying to teach how to take care of dishes, this dishwasher is a joke. Had I known that we would pay $700+ for a pile of junk, I would have opted for a much cheaper dishwasher, as I have lived in places in my younger years with very cheap dishwashers and have not had half the issue we have had with this. I would be ashamed to market and sell this dishwasher. After not even 2 years, we are now in the market to buy another new dishwasher because this one is basically unusable. If you are considering this dishwasher, please think twice, find a different one for your home. I thought paying $700 for one would mean it should be pretty decent, it is not at all a good dishwasher. If I could rate it below a 1 star, I would.

We purchased this washer approximately 4 years ago. It just doesnt work and hasnt since we owned it. You constantly get an error code on the machine when washing. Cannot get through a complete cycle without an error. Had LG recommend repair service (All American Appliance Repair, Daytona, FL) and replaced motherboard for $250 this time. Forty-five days later, doing same thing each time we use it. Called All American and LG back to have it fixed again. All American says motherboard was only warrantied for 30 days but LG says its warrantied for 90 days. Cant get straight answer from either party. Never been so frustrated with an appliance and dont understand how we can let companies sell a product with a known defect without a recall to fix. If you google you will see the same issues. We purchased it from Home Depot. I have the HD receipt, just dont know how to attach. Yes we would like to discuss with an attorney. Thank you.

I purchased the stove from Home Depot on March 29, 2011. My kitchen remodel was completed two months later, making the actual age of the stove approximately four months old. I dont cook on the stove often and only used the oven this one time. I placed a tray with dinosaur breaded chicken pieces in the oven at 350 degrees. Five minutes into cooking them, I heard glass shatter. I ran to the kitchen thinking a window had broken. I looked at the oven and the inside glass had shattered. I waited the weekend and called LG service on Monday. A service man came on Tuesday (Granville **). He came late. He trudged through my house with mud and looked at my paperwork for the stove. He poked at the broken glass and tiny pieces fell on the floor. He took pictures, closed the door, took a picture of the serial number, kicked the tiny of pieces of glass off his work boot and proceeded to leave my house. I stopped him and asked if the repair was getting done today. He said something about the LG company. I said, “Could you please tell me if the repair is getting done today?” He said, Call the company tomorrow. I said, “Tomorrow, I want my stove done today.” He said, Call the company. I cant do no more. I immediately called LG and they said, Werent you told to call tomorrow? I said, “I want to know today.” They put me on hold and said they would call the service man. When they came back on the phone, they said, “The service man notified us that it was negligence on your part that the oven glass broke.” Was it on my part? I put something in to cook. The glass shattered only on the inside pane of glass and blew apart into tiny pieces that flew all over my floor when I opened it. And I have a small child that could have been badly injured if he was playing near this monstrosity of a product. A service man came, poked his finger at the broken glass and more pieces fell on my spotless floor. He kicked his heel to make the ones on his boot fall off onto my floor and walked away leaving them there. And Im into day six without a stove and your company is telling me I can get it repaired if I pay for it. Should I pay for it? I dont even think this stove is safe with new glass. Something caused that glass to blow apart, whether the thermostat let the temperature get too high, the glass wasnt properly sealed, or the complete stove is defective. One thing is certain. I did nothing wrong to cause this to happen. And the replies I keep getting, that are made to make me feel like a liar, are totally sickening. I have LG washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove, and seven wall unit air conditioners. And you mean to tell me that I never made a single complaint. But the one and only time I do, Im at fault? Did I deliberately or by mistake broke a window out of my oven? Absolutely not. I bought all these products in good faith. I even bought extended warranties on some. At the first sign of trouble, your company turns its nose up at me. What a disgrace!

Three years ago I purchased the LG WT4870C washer -- a He top loader with stainless tub. Its been less than a satisfying experience owning it. The unit flashes the IE error code on virtually every load of laundry. Since my washer is in the basement, Im blissfully unaware of the error code. So, the wash cycle practically never finished when I expect; Ive come to count on it taking twice as long to do laundry as it should. The IE error code indicates a dirty water filter, and I wonder how I ever existed for years with my old washer -- it never gave me a bit of trouble related to water quality. This unit is so sophisticated. It can actually sync to your smart phone. Who gives a damn!! Can I start a wash cycle and add clothes as the tub is filling with water? Nope! I like to do that to save time, but LG thinks its a good idea to lock the lid so you must get all your dirty clothes inside the tub before you start. You cannot open that sucker while its working. Not happening. And, in this great freedom-loving country of ours, do I get to choose how much water to use to wash my clothes? Nope! I should be able to wash one sock with 10 gallons of water if I choose. Whether or not I have my own well (which I do), it should be my choice. Sometimes I just want to soak -- I mean truly SOAK -- something in water. The control freaks at LG decided to be clever and prevent the user from exercising this right. You will use exactly the amount of water THEY want you to use. Seems very un-American to me. In short, simple is usually better, and the LG WT4870C is not simple. Dont be drawn in by all the bright lights and fancy chimes. This unit is overpriced and the product of Big Brothers crack team of controllers. I wish I had not bought it.

We had purchased a LG 3 door refrigerator in 2014 month of October, yesterday it stopped cooling or making ice. We called the number listed on the refrigerator. Got a automated system that sent us a text message to troubleshoot the problem. We did exa5 as was given in the text. Waited 24 hours, woke up this morning and that refrigerator was still not cooling or made any ice. Called LG back. Spoke with one of their service representatives who informed me what I already knew that if it was my compressor I have a 10 year warranty on this part but I would have to pay a service call charge and a labour charges if it was the compressor. The charges were as follows. 125.00 for the service call and if compressor labour is 250.00. Researching online I found that there a class action lawsuit against them for this issue. They have known about this and have kept continuing to sell these refrigerators with this issue. Also while researching I found out that this happens after 5 years and my extended warranty has expired. This is not right. I asked the representative about my food loss and he state to me after I had this repair done to call back and speak to a customer service representative and they would give me a compensation for my food loss but I needed receipts for the food I had in my refrigerator. I asked him who keeps their receipts and he brushed it off by stating call after the repair is complete and speak to the food loss department. I have a receipt but it wont let me upload. Says my file is bigger than 5MB. I will never buy a lg product again. A very disgruntled customer. Ivan

I bought this LG (Low Grade) refrigerator (lsxs263662) brand new when I bought my first house. This was the worst mistake I have ever made. I should’ve did more research on this company before I spent $2000 on a oversize cooler. I bought the fridge in 1/23/2017 and about a month of use it stop cooling. The whole fridge was full of groceries that all went to waste. I contacted LG and they sent a service tech to come look at it. He said it was a compressor issue and had to order a new one. About 2 weeks later the compressor arrived and he came back to repair it. About a month after that the refrigerator stopped cooling again. Again we contacted LG and same issue again. This time the service technician blamed it on the first service technician for the refrigerator failing again. So same deal he ordered another compressor and came back to repair it. Relieved that the issue has been fixed which was around 4/12/2017 and assuming that this can not possibly happen again, I went on with life. About a month after the second repair the fridge broke again, same issue it stopped cooling. Again called LG but this time the service technician which was supposedly a actual LG technician never showed up. This was around 5/2017. Kept calling LG and they kept sending that same guy that never shows up. They stated that he came on the day that was scheduled but there wasn’t anyone home. I know that was just an excuse because I have 2 retired parents that is always home. So now about 1 month of waiting for the technician they sent him again. This time he said they gave him the wrong address, that is funny because they have been here three times before so how can they send the wrong address? It’s now 2/7/2018 and LG is refusing to fix my refrigerator the third time because it’s now out of warranty. LG’s replacement policy is that it needs to be fixed three times before they even consider replacing it. I put the third claim in 5/2017 way before the warranty expiration date. They gave me the run around until the warranty ended and now they are refusing to fix it. I had to go out and buy a $300 fridge to keep my groceries in and that fridge has not gave me any trouble since the day I bought it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Customer service does nothing to help and when you ask for a supervisor they just hang up on you. I’m working with a lawyer to get their attention. Hopefully they won’t get away with this type of business practice much longer. For now please don’t support their business, Give their customer service a try and you will see what I was dealing with. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My LG has been very reliable for 9 years. I love having the freezer at the bottom with the double refrigerator doors at the top. The ONLY design feature I don’t like at all is the temp controlled drawer that goes across the full width of the refrigerator. In order to use that drawer you have to open both doors. RUST at the metal lips where the detergents are poured. I noticed some rust under the plastic cover where the detergent is poured and decided to take out the four screws and check where the plastic meets the metal. IT WAS ALL RUSTED. The instruction manual does not require that the four screws be taken out for cleaning. The manual requires cleaning of the plastic area so that the dispensers work well, which we did. I reported this to LG with the pictures that I am sharing. They asked me if I use corrosive materials like bleach. Of course we do and the dispenser has a location where to apply the bleach. This unit is not heavily used (3 people), well cleaned and maintained (I am an engineer). It is no longer under warranty and LG said that it is cosmetic. I disagree because pieces of the rust are getting into our laundry as the washer vibrates. Check out the photos and decide.

I am truly disappointed with my LG washer model WT487OC. I purchased it approx 61 months ago, and yes my 48 months protection plan expired. The machine began to exhibit a problem 3 months ago when after a wash load, there was a noticeable debris on the damp clothing which led to concerns before drying the load. After a few calls to LG Customer Service and a discussion with Rocket Appliance Repair who LG suggested I call. It was determined that the machine somehow had developed mold internally. I tried over 10 different options that LG & THEIR REPAIR SERVICED suggested I attempt, but to no avail. The machine was considered unrepairable. In over 40 years of cleaning and purchasing household appliances I have never experienced anything like this. I will never buy LG appliances again, and any I presently own I will seek replacements for as soon as possible.

My thought is for 3000.00 I shouldnt have to have an inconvenience. I have since given up getting anything done. After the 5th time the washer vibrated and flooded out laundry room. We called up LG again and they said they would issue a full refund. The next day we went out and bought a Maytag washer with zero issue so far. To get the refund LG gave us a case number and a link to upload our proof of purchase. After not hearing from them for a month we called them up and said they have no record of them saying we would get a refund. Their customer service is a joke. They claim they have no record of 3 of the repairs and no record of saying they would refund the money for a lemon washer. My husband and I are teachers and dont make much to begin with, and we are only paid 10 months out of the year. It is our responsibility to be conservative with our money so we often buy in bulk with coupons. Well, last year after we came home from our vacation (not a glamorous one either) to a very hot refrigerator and $400 worth of food that had gone bad, we called and fought with LG customer service who were very rude to us. They refused to replace the food but because it was less than 6 months old and under warranty, they sent someone to fix the problem. Now this summer, we went away again, and came home to a fridge full of moldy food again and another $300 worth of food. At this point, we cannot afford to replace much of it because we wont see another check until the end of September. We were trying to budget and plan ahead. We paid for the extended warranty from PC Richards who has been wonderful thus far. So, they sent someone out to take a look at it, but we were told that this is just a trait of the LGs which have fans that are known to shut down if the food cabin gets too cold and sometimes there is a glitch where the fan wont turn back on again unless the refrigerator is unplugged then plugged in again. So both my husband and I have been on the phone with LG customer service, and they have been nothing but rude. I was told that it was not in the customer service policy to replace the lost food. When I asked them why they had that policy, the supervisor was unable to tell me. She just said that that was their policy. All I asked was why, but she refused to tell me. If I treated the students and parents in my classroom the way LG treated my husband and me, I would be out of a job.

After fighting a good fight with Sears over my compressor failure after 2 years, on a Kenmore Elite, Sears with much pressure and an inquiry by a local NBC news affiliate replaced our fridge with a LG model last June. I am disappointed and upset to say this LG model has just done the EXACT SAME THING. The compressor has failed and I am so angry. The repairman has said that LG and Kenmore Elite both outsource their parts to Korea and showed us what to be wary of in future when buying a fridge. He also advised us that he spends more time on these models than any other for this same repair. He advised us to just buy a new fridge (suggested Whirlpool) because the cost of repair is not worth it and it will go out again. So LG you have lost a customer and Sears will never get a dollar from me again.

I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extended service agreement. From the beginning I had nothing but problems, I got the UE code often, it would run the rinse cycle over and over, clothes ended up in a knot, etc. The service company checked it, said the legs needed balancing and it was fine, NOT FINE! Finally the recall happened and after fixing it, everything was WORSE. Every load was UE, the timer wouldnt advance, all the issues I have read about here. The service agreement sent someone out who was here 1 minute and said this was an LG issue and they would call me back. No call back, numerous calls to LG who opened a case at my insistence at a replacement. LG said they would get back with me in 7 to 10 days, which didnt happen. Set up another appointment with service contract, took the morning off work, and guess what a NO SHOW!!! I suggest everyone with these problems call Consumer Affairs (the government agency listed on our recall letters), I lodged a complaint there and was seriously considering joining one of the class action lawsuits about this fiasco! Service company said I had to have one more service call before they would consider the machine a LEMON, so I insisted it NOT be a third party vendor, but an actual LG repair person. This person called me to let me know when he would be here, had a LG shirt on, and after one minute said the recall fixer only did half the job, not to worry he could fix it. He said some of the vendors LG hired to do the recalls only replaced the software and then didnt do the proper programming. He proceeded to replace the rotors, the motor and finished programming the software. It did work! Not perfect as my clothes are more wet than I would like, so I have to run an extra spin cycle sometimes, but I am not getting the UE error codes, and able to use spin only cycle without water dumping in! He said dont use the cotton/normal setting, use casual and if washing towels wash 4, not only 2, and better to do bigger loads than small. The machine has a hard time sensing light small loads. I still would never purchase an LG large appliance again, or certainly this big fancy machine if I knew small light loads would be an issue, and certainly will not purchase an extended service agreement! So, moral of the story... INSIST on an actual LG repair person, even when dealing with the extended service company.

We bought an LG Refrigerator 4 years ago. The compressor recently failed. We were astonished to learn that it would take 3 weeks before it could be repaired. However, it got much worse. A few days before the scheduled repair, we were notified the repair would be delayed another week. Then on the day of the newly scheduled repair the repair technician called in sick. We were delayed another day. The next day the technician went to the wrong address. The repair was delayed another 2 weeks. At the next repair date a tech finally showed up at our house, only to inform us that LG shipped us a generic compressor and he had not been provided the tools to install this generic compressor. The next available appointment for a tech with the appropriate tools is 3 weeks away. The tech also informed us that he couldnt even guarantee that the compressor would fix the problem and we might be back in the same boat in a matter of weeks or months. I will never buy another LG product. After being without a refrigerator for over 2 months, we are likely to just go buy a new refrigerator at this point. What a horrible, frustrating and maddening experience.

The knobs on the oven are not safe and are a fire hazard. All you have to do is lean against them a tad and the eyes will turn on. If you have children or animals you do not want this oven in your house. DO Not leave any items on the stove top because the knobs are so sensitive you will start a fire. They need to recall and fix this issue before a fire from this stove/oven causes deaths.
