Product Reviews:

When I re-did my kitchen I went with all Kitchen-Aid Appliances based on reputation. I included the Kitchen-Aid 25.8 CF French Door, 5-drawer refrigerator. I purchased all of this in 10/1/16. I am now on my second repair. About 2 years ago the fridge part stopped working and a technician had to replace a coil. Today my freezer stopped working. It is very disheartening to know how much was spent on the this product just to have it break down every two years. I called Kitchen-Aid directly who stated they can send out a service guy out of warranty. That is also, in my opinion, bad customer service. This is a higher end product that they are not willing to work with me on. I will rely on my home warranty for this repair but be mindful if you are thinking of buying this refrigerator.

So much confusion between Samsung and Lowe's. Anyway, the dishwasher makes a HORRIBLE noise during the 2nd cycle. I have it a little over 1 year. It's been making the sound for a few months. So frustrated and disappointed. I have to pay $100 plus to get a serviceman out here. I don't want to considering the dishwasher is still new to me.

The Bosch is the quietest dishwasher we've owned. It cleans effectively and spaces are identified for dishes/glasses. Run time is ~ two hours.

After a year and half, the dishwasher pump needed to be replaced. When I called Samsung to have it repaired, they said it's not under warranty. Do not buy a Samsung dishwasher. The worst customer service and dishwasher.

I have had this dishwasher for less than a year and it doesn't work. The soap dispenser does not always open or it opens but the soap is not dispensed and just dribbles down the inside of the door. I have called in multiple trouble tickets. They have replaced the computer and the dispenser and have ordered another new computer and dispenser because the problem hasn't stopped. When I called GE to complain that I have had the unit repaired too many times and would like a replacement, they said if it is reparable, they will not replace it. I explained that it is not reparable if they fix it and it breaks again. This past Saturday, the tech told me that I need to run my hot water for ten minutes prior to running the dishwasher and that I should move the silverware caddy from it's current location in the front (where it is supposed to go) to the back, taking up space in the rather small tub so I have less room for dishes, which, by the way have to be thoroughly rinsed before washing them. I explained to GE that if I have to jerry-rig the unit to make it work, then it is not reparable. Would they say it was okay if the latch didn't stay closed and I could just put duct tape on it to make it stay shut? If the product does not work as designed, and when the instructions that are provided with the dishwasher are followed and it does not work, it is not reparable. They refuse to replace it and while they did extend my warranty, there will come a time when that warranty is up and it will start to cost us money for all the repairs. It is costing GE more money to keep sending out techs and re-replacing parts than it would to just replace the relatively inexpensive dishwasher. Would I recommend this dishwasher to a friend? I would not recommend this dishwasher to an enemy! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!!

A few years ago we bought Bosch "green" dishwasher. That means it uses relatively low (below 100C) temperature to wash and dry. Thus various microbes are not killed and the dishwasher sanitized. Finally, the water which always should be in the dishwasher gets nasty smell. Who was so stupid to create such "green" stuff without option to use normal washing and drying temperature not the "green"? Do not buy Bosch as you can get something stupid like "green" microbe friendly appliance.

Ordered this sight unseen from Amazon. Ordered on a Saturday and it was here on Monday. Replaced a Kitchen Aid that was so poorly designed that the soap dispenser was blocked from opening if you loaded the lower rack fully. Every plastic part was brittle and kept breaking and I had to tear it down and manually clean the food chopper every week. I did not want to go the KitchenAid/Maytag/GE/Westinghouse/Kenmore route ever again since every appliance we have owned by them has had significant problems. I took a leap of faith and ordered this Thor Kitchen. I could not find many reviews but the ones I found were positive. Packaging was quite sturdy and the dishwasher arrived with no problems. There is water inside but apparently this is normal for new dishwashers. Installation was not too difficult. My husband had a question about a cpvc outlet and was not sure what it was for. I called the support number and immediately was connected to a real person in California. He explained that the dishwasher has a air cycling feature that can be used if the dishwasher is not going to be used for a few days to keep the interior fresh and it was the air intake. He also reminded me to call back and register the dishwasher for warranty purposes. The instructions that came with the dishwasher were rudimentary but I searched the internet and found better ones. There are more features than Amazon listed and these are a pleasant surprise. The silverware holder is modular and breaks down into 3 sections. I have yet to need all three. I use the 2 smaller side pieces and tuck them where ever they fit. These seem to made of much thicker nicer material than the one in my KitchenAid. The bottom rack has half with tines that can fold out of the way to accommodate large items. The upper rack can used in two positions but the higher position limits the height of glasses somewhat. I use it on the lower position almost all the time and have plenty of room for tall things in the bottom rack. The upper rack also has some flip down racks to hold stemware in place. The third top rack is wonderful for knives, lids and small things. It doesn't get quite the spray pressure as down below so really gunky things may not come clean as well as the stuff on the other racks, but this is minor. I love being able to get my knives washed and sanitized without them touching other things and getting dull. There is a 'vortex' clean feature. In the corner on the bottom, there is a small spinner spray. When you have a really dirty pot, you put it in the rack over this spinner and select vortex. It uses a high pressure directed spray to clean what is right above it. I have used it a couple times and it works. This is the first dishwasher we have had where the dishes don't completely dry even with the heated dry option. We got some rinse aid (which as an adjustable release feature) and problem solved. The plate racks on the bottom rack are very closely spaced which is nice to hold a lot of plates but if one is super dirty, I skip a rack so it gets more spray. The control panel is on the top of the door so it is hidden when it is closed. It took a little while for my husband to figure it out (he did not read instructions) but you have to select all the features you want (can add a delay to the start time if you wish) and then push start and then close the door. It starts then. You can't close the door and push start (which had him convinced it was broken for the first couple hours). The display tells you how many hours and minutes the cycle will take and most are 2 plus hours. When the dishwasher is running the top display goes dark and a band of blue lights on the front of the dishwasher illuminates as it works through the cycle. The band gets longer as the cycle progress so you can tell at a glance what percentage through the cycle is. If you want the exact amount of time left, you just touch the top panel start button and it will display how many minutes are left in that cycle. It is so quiet that when it was running, I thought I heard water boiling but it was the dishwasher doing its thing. The dishwasher is very sleek and nice looking. It seems to be well made and sturdy. The handle is large and industrial but seems very strong. It sticks out further than our old dishwasher, which just had a hand hold recessed in the door, so this new handle impeded the opening of the cabinet on the wall next to the dishwasher. My husband's initial thought was to send it back and get a different style. Mine was, "take the dag on door off the cabinet and get my new dishwasher installed!" I got my way. He ended up modifying the door so it is hinged differently. Bottom line-no regrets. Update: After 20 months: You need to make sure that you manually clean the filters. It is easy to do, at the bottom of the dishwasher (easy to get to without removing anything) there is a gray cylinder filter to catch big debris. Twist and it unlatches. Then lift out the steel mesh (hooks under two tabs toward back of dishwasher). Finally, pull out a very fine mesh filter (loose cylinder down in hole). Rinse all three and put back. This is quick and easy and I do it every week or two, depending on how well I pre-rinse my dishes (which I don't) and when ever I see any debris not rinsed off of the glasses. I prefer doing this to having the built in food chopper of the kitchen aid which failed and was a nightmare to clean. I found the combo of pots/pans, steam wash, and heat dry gives me the best results. I still do not regret. Not a single component has broken, nor have I seen any degradation of the interior plastic parts.

Maytag never fails to please me. My dishwasher is so quiet I sometimes have to put my ear next to it to make sure it’s actually working. The inside is stainless steel (those are the quietest) and it has a child lock so my 2 yo grandson can push all the buttons he wants and he still can’t mess things up. I love the high temp and sanitize features and everything is always clean and dry when done. It seems like it takes a long time to run through all the cycles, though. That and no adjustable top rack are the only two things I miss with my previous dishwasher.

I bought the Ikea dishwasher (model IUD8500BX1) in 2014. Because it’s from Ikea, it has 5 year warranty. I was using it daily, as I have a family of 5 and we cook and eat at home most days. I have called Whirlpool at least 4 times according to the repairman that was here today. I've already had to replace the pump because it was holding up water. After which, mold started occurring in the washer. The technician who came out found 4 fault codes on the machine. He was prepared to replace sensors and the circuit board for the heater and the pump, since it likely had mold. But Whirlpool says the parts are "functional" therefore the replacement parts won’t fix it. He is not allowed to replace anything.Considering the mold is an after effect of the failure to drain, you would think they would fix the mold as well. A replacement dishwasher would be nice, but at least replacement of the internal plastic parts that I can't clean. Instead, they tell me to bleach wash it and run a cycle with bleach. Guess what, I've already done that. And according to the technician he's never seen a dishwasher have this much mold when it’s used as often as I use it. If you are buying this product thinking they will stand by their product, think again.

The washer is quiet and convenient. We are able to run two loads at the same time, but with different cycles. The drawers are great also because we can do smaller loads of dishes and while one drawer is running we can fill the other. Another great feature is the stainless steal finish - it doesn't mark. You can literally rub your hands all over it and it won't mark. Friends of ours have a Bosch - nice washer but it always looks dirty because of fingerprints all over it. (They have kids.) My parents also have a Bosch and they have to clean it once per week or so. Our unit is DD24DDFX7. Highly recommended!
