Love the fridge, so far it has served us with big spaces. The biggest (only) problem is the icemaker and water dispenser. It doesnt make enough ice and the water dispenser is slow that it takes 5 min or more to fill a glass. Improvements need to be made on this.

This product I paid $854.99 plus taxes and is upsetting to know this washer is done forever. I purchased on May 3, 2012 at Best Buy. I contact Best Buy they cant do anything about it because I dont have the protection plan. Really for a new washer, my grandmas washer is 15 years old and works fine. My husband contact LG they cant do anything about it because the warranty expired within one year of the date of purchase. So we contact Sears for $200. They came over to do the diagnostic so basically the top computer is outdated, running on the wrong setting, needs to be updated and we need to buy the top setting which is $500.00 plus labor work!!! So if we do this means we basically expending $800.00 if you do the math. DONT BUY LG.

I love this dryer! I like the flexibility of entering in the temp and length of cycle or just pick a cycle pre-set. But it takes a while to see which pre-set cycle will work. For instance, drying sheets on normal cycle isnt going to work. I select bulky and it gets the job done. We have had this machine for about three years now and have had no problems at all.

Let me begin by stating that my $350 Hotpoint is still working great in our basement after 20 years! But the LG fridge in the kitchen? Compressor died after 2 1/2 years! Ok so that part was covered by warranty but the $600 to get an authorized repair person out here to fix it was not. I just don’t understand. I have always thought that you pay more for better quality. Not in this case. LG... less good, loser goods, Let it Go. Save your money. Buy any other brand but LG! (PS... made a serious error and bought an LG dishwasher. It was rated #2 on Top Ten Reviews. It broke after 1 1/2 years! Repair has send five different guys over a one month period and no one can fix it! Rather than LG just admitting that its a piece of crap and replacing it, we are dealing with this circus show.) Never again, LG! NEVER AGAIN.

We purchased our refrigerator on July 8, 2018. We were remodeling our home and did not actually plug it in until Dec. 2018. Mid May, 2019 *or there about* we experienced warm food and thawing frozen foods. We called the service center (1-800-905-9505) and told them of the problem - and technician took 2 weeks to come diagnose & repair --- replacing the compressor (Work was done on June 1, 2019). July 11th the refrigerator stopped cooling once again. Food lost and frozen food lost. Technician came the next day (12th) repaired.... and following morning (13th) the refrigerator STOPPED COOLING! Called service center on Saturday the 13th - and am still waiting for a call back from LG to set up service call ASAP. We are thoroughly disappointed with the LG refrigerator we purchased for full price - and will NEVER purchase another LG appliance again. Once we get this refrigerator running again we will donate it and have to spend money again on a new refrigerator. Customer service at LG consists of ALL foreigners - barely speaking English and expressing zero ability to satisfy customers. Sincerely,Steffany

Weve had an LG washer (model WT5170HV) for about two years. We are having our second major problem with this machine. This time it is not stopping! It will start with saying 52 minutes for the full washing cycle and take almost three hours to complete. Needless to say, the repairman is coming out. I do not recommend purchasing an LG washing machine. Repair calls are expensive. If this repair is more than a couple hundred dollars, were dumping this machine and buying something else.

The LG 4715 is the worst appliance — not oven, appliance — I’ve ever bought. One would think that there would be a simple way to set the temperature and turn it on. After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. They’re closed at supper time. Trust me — look elsewhere.

We have been having a cooling issues with our LG French Door Refrigerator.
We have been having a cooling issues with our LG French Door Refrigerator. We called the 800 243 0000 number a few times. The first time, the associate asked us to reset the unit and wait for 24 hrs. After the unit failed to reset, we called the number since the unit is under warranty. We were told LG does not have service technicians in our area and we will have to go through an authorized service center. The first service center refused to work with us saying they need the original sales receipt even after LG promised to cover the parts. The authorized service center then called me to give an estimate of $1500 without even looking at the unit. After we called LG service to help us find a technician or another service center, the LG executive response team member set me up with another authorized service center, who set up an appointment after LG provided an authorization. We waited for a week for the appointment, only to have the service call and inform us that they made a mistake and will not service LG units. This is after the LG associate was on a conference call with us and the service center a week ago. So after two week of waiting we have no resolution in sight and LG customer service keeps giving us the runaround. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE LG PRODUCTS.

Their products look good to begin with but when you have a problem they are masters at kicking the can down the road and not helping. Their customer service reps write things in their reports that are not truthful (to cover themselves) and they continually claim that the fading of the black on the glass top electric range is purely cosmetic. BUT we choose items based on being aesthetically pleasing. I bought all 6 LG appliances - but after this frustrating 6 month long attempts I will never purchase any of their products again. I am frustrated and disappointed and angry.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot about 18 months ago. I got their top model at the time top loading. After about 15 months I noticed the paint around bleach dispenser beginning to bubble up and so I removed the blue tray only to find machine has been rusting. I thought perhaps its because when pouring bleach we sometimes get it between the plastic and machine. Then when looking under, I noticed the entire machine has massive rust buildup to where its flaking and falling on the plastic edges of the drum. After contacting LG about this issue they pretty much said Im out of warranty and oh well. At the rate of the rust Im guessing another 2 years and metal clips / screws will pretty much break during a spin cycle and nothing I can do about it except share this troubling issue to save someone else thousands of dollars on LGs poorly protected product against moisture. That 10 year warranty sticker is such a gimmick since these wont make it past 5 years with the crazy rust buildup. I did some research online and found that many other users have gone through the same frustration. I hope all the negative reviews will get LG to better insulate metal surfaces in their machines. Even my car comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty against rust yet washer has no rust warranty?

I purchased an LG oven as a gift for my sons family in February 2013. After 6 months the oven stopped working. My son called LG and had a repair person come to the house. He had to wait over 3 weeks for the appointment, even after offering to be home at any hour. He has small children and trying to make meals for the 3 weeks was a challenge. Once the oven was repaired we all thought it was good to go. In January 2014 the same problem occurred but this time LG said they cannot get the part (after my son and his family waited another 3 weeks for an appointment). My son and I have spoken to LG and they offered to pay us back for what we paid. Of course they refuse to replace it. It is not longer an item that they make and since we got it on sale so a new LG will cost much more than what they are offering to give us. Shame on you LG. When I purchased my oven, not an LG, and it did not work properly, not only was it replace but it was replaced the next day. I will never purchase anything made by LG again. Customer service says it all and LG does not have it. From a customer of anything but LG.

I bought an LG Tromm front loading washing machine and it is definitely defective. The clothes reek of mold and after calling the company, I was told to leave the door open and to buy tablets to clean the tub. It was ridiculous--with my old GE toploader, I had no problems or issues. Now, the machine has an OE signal for the second time and the washer is not draining. A serviceman came out and said that it was the drain motor. It cost $235.40. The LG recommended technician that came said the motor is only guaranteed for one month after being changed. I have never been more outraged. When it breaks again, I will go to Sears and buy anything but an LG product.

We purchased an LG Front Loader True Balance washing machine in MARCH 2016 from Lowes. This past week, SEPT 2016, water started leaking from underneath washer. We contacted LG directly, tried some troubleshooting to no avail. LG customer service asked that we email a picture of our receipt; we did. We called again and someone told us that the machine was made in 2014, purchased in 2016 and they will have to get back to us. Crickets. Then, we called Lowes. They seemed to be helpful but determined we live outside the service territory and they would have to send complaint back to LG. **!! We have not heard anything from anyone for 5 days now. No washing machine, 2 school-aged children, one of which has a bug and has been throwing up for the past three days, myself and my husband who will be going to work commando soon. It seems that most products today are just crap. CRAP! Not only are the products crap, but customer service, service repair procedures and overall way of doing business is dead. Off to wash vomit-soaked stuffed animals by hand. As God is my witness, we will never buy another LG product again.

Bought this expensive $2500 LG fridge from Costco June 2018, we were remodeling our kitchen. After 6 months the ice maker defrosted and started leaking and unable to dispense ice. The repairman changed the ice dispenser motor and seemed to work ok. Then after another 3 months or so, the freezer and refrigerator stopped working, defrosting all of our food. We lived on ice coolers and no cooking. When the repairman came, he unplugged the ref, and it started working again. After another month, same thing happened, defrosted all of our food again, lived on ice coolers for 4 days till repairman came and says it might be the control board acting up? He will order the part but we have to wait another 3 days or so. We are waiting for the part he ordered Thursday and will come Wednesday, long wait for a very frustrating expensive ref? I recommend “Don’t buy this fridge!“ Not worth the headaches. I live in Vegas. Very hot here, no fridge life is not easy! Very frustrating, unhappy with poor customer service. LG does not even expedite repairs? Unacceptable... We bought a lemon? Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone...

Never had an oven operate like this. DONT BUY!!! Stay away from LG!

I bought an LG washer (model WT5101HW) on November 14, 2011. It blew up on April 21, 2012. What I meant by blew up is it spent itself into self-destruction. I wish we could download pictures to this site. The damage is not repairable. The plastic supports that the tub was connected to are all busted, and the tub is sitting in the bottom of the machine. The frame is bent. The top is disconnected from the base. There is a dent in the wall on both sides of the machine. Im asking for payment for repairs to the wall. I sent pictures of the destruction with my claim, but Im waiting for a tech to come take a look at LGs request. Im not happy that its going to take a week for the tech to come and confirm that the washer is not repairable. The noise shook us up really bad. We still have not fully recovered from the shock.

In 2007 we purchased a French Door LG refrigerator model #LFD22860ST. Since our purchase we have experienced a number of issues (1st the models efficiency rating is only valid when the ice maker is turned off; 2nd the freezer compartment developed rust on the metal baskets after the first year; but most recently the white plastic water line attached to the appliance developed a pinhole leak which resulted in destroyed ceiling tiles in our basement recreation room). An LG qualified repairman was called immediately but his service resulted in further leaks causing additional damage to our basement ceiling just 3 days after the initial fix. So next a qualified plumber was called. The problem was solved, but that solution lasted only 2 months when the fix to the original problem appeared again resulting in further damage to the basement. We feel the quality and reliability of this appliance is seriously in question and would like LG to supply us with a replacement refrigerator from another manufacturer of our choosing at a cost equal to the price of our original LG plus money spent to repair damages to our basement resulting from their inferior product. At this point, I would not accept a replacement LG refrigerator. Lastly, it saddens us to abandon this LG product line as we have experienced very good success with other LG products. Currently we own both an LG washing machine and an LG clothes dryer. We certainly hope they do not follow the same path as this particular appliance.

We purchased this product in June 2015. About a month after the 1 year warranty period was over, the refrigerator started making a loud noise, almost sounding like a lawn-mower was hiding inside the unit. It was soon followed by an error E RF on the display panel. Upon contacting LGs customer support, who were quick to point out that the warranty period was over, they informed me that the error indicated that the refrigerator fan was malfunctioning possibly due to ice forming around the refrigerator fan unit causing the issue. I was asked to do a manual defrost, i.e. physically shutting down the power and letting it sit for 8 hours for the ice to melt before switching it back on. This seemed to resolve the issue; however, this seemed to keep happening every other month. On doing some research on the web, I found that this is a very common problem. Since then we have been doing this ritual every other month to power-off the unit to perform a manual defrost. Since the last such operation, the E RF message pops-up daily and then disappears. The temperature in refrigerator is not cold, resulting in food going bad. On contacting a local appliance repair company and providing the serial number of the unit I was given to understand that a service bulletin from LG indicated that the software on some board needs an upgrade or replacement and a fan panel needed replacement, possibly costing hundreds of dollars. I was also informed that the replacement boards are not in stock and could take weeks. On contacting LG Customer Service, I was provided the solution to perform a manual defrost. For now, Life is not so Good.

I bought this LG Gas Slide In Stove Model LSG4511ST from Home Depot online on Feb 17, 2018. Within a few weeks of barely using it all five burners on the stainless steel stove top were corroding with rust. We just spent a ton of money remodeling our kitchen and were excited to get our first and new Slide in Gas Stove. Well the nightmare began. We contacted Home Depot and they referred us to LG. Home Depot wouldn’t speak to us. We paid $1300 for the stove. After many calls, chats and emails to LG customer service and their executive office they replaced the entire SS stove top and all five burners after SIX months of hell with them. They didn’t show up, excuses, no response to emails, no call backs - HORRIBLE company. Then within a short time after they replaced parts it started corroding AGAIN around ALL FIVE burners. The calls, chats, emails to LG started again and this time they don’t respond at all. I tried Home Depot also and they will not take any responsibility. Nothing! I am sitting here with a defective ugly stove in the middle of our brand new kitchen. I am now forced to sue them. I filed a complain the US Bureau of Consumer Goods a month ago, was assigned a complaint number and “investigator” name and email and they don’t respond either. I have tons of documentation of this nightmare and photos. The icing on the cake is I wrote a review for the stove on www.homedepot.com and they “rejected” it. They didn’t want the public to know the truth about a product they sell!

I got my new French door LG Refrigerator, Model #LFX31925ST/100, in October of 2011, for $2354.90. The ice maker has been replaced at least twice and currently they say the one installed in August needs to be replaced again, it quit in Dec. I have had at least 6 service calls. Not counting the times they couldnt get here and had me pulling the fridge out from wall & unplugging it for several hours and plugging it back in, to eliminate loud knocking noises. This week we finally figured out that even though 8/23/15 they replaced fan grill assembly in the back of deep freeze (new one has some sort of defroster in it) we still have no ice. Last summer the water spout on door stuck in on position and nothing we did would shut it off. It flooded our kitchen before we could get the water shut off. I have thrown out so much food during the past two yrs, it is insane. Finally went and bought thermometer and learned that even though door panel shows refrig. set at 33 temp is 46-48. Freezer varies. Now I have learned it is currently part of a Class Action Law Suit and Im not alone. Im done in and crying Uncle...

I have had an LRG30357ST range for almost 4 years now. All of the knobs have cracked at the base and now we had a gas leak from the burners because they wont shut off all the way. I have contacted LG and they wont do anything because I cant find a copy of the receipt from 4 years ago. You would think that having the stove should be enough proof that it was purchased! Now we are out of a stove until I spend $400 on 5 knobs or buy a new stove! You would think with all of the complaints and the safety factor, they would have a recall and replace the cheap knobs with one that have a metal base. They charge $73.52 plus tax and shipping for each replacement knob on www.LG.com. For that price, they should be able to make one out of stainless steel and not plastic.

They said wed have to submit a repair service request and theyd put us in contact with a repair tech, which basically means they dont think we are smart enough to work on their crappy appliances! **! We researched an exploded diagram on AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered the thermometer through them (bless them!). During this time, the compressor has been replaced 4 times. The Evaporator has been replaced. The Condenser has been replaced. They think the control board may not be working either. Additionally, 4 times, during these various replacements, it has stopped cooling within two days of the parts replacement, requiring another tech to make a service call and charge the Freon. We purchased a model WM3270CW Front Loader washer from Best Buy on 06/25/18
We purchased a model WM3270CW Front Loader washer from Best Buy on 06/25/18. This machine was only used very carefully in our home. After washing a small load of pillow cases and face cloths I removed them and dried them in the dryer. About two hours later, on 8/30/19, we were sitting in another room of our condo and heard a loud crash. I walked around trying to find the location of the noise. It had come from the washer. The glass on the door had imploded into the machine tub. The door was ajar for air circulation so some of the shards also were on the floor of the laundry room. About an hour later there was another loud sound. This time the outer edges of the part of the door that had landed into the tub exploded off. After various calls to LG and lots of conversations to try to get rid of me, I was told that they were referring this problem to their safety department. They kept promising return calls within 24 to 48 hours but they never came. I finally was given a case number and was connected to their Escalation Team Department. This last conversation resulted in a visit from a technician from A&E Factory services on Sept. 10. He informed us that there is no record at LG of a door ever imploding. He said that LG believes we hit the door or caused the problem ourselves. We did not hit the door. No one in our home hit the door and there is no way that we caused the problem. We did not cause the glass to implode! We are fortunate that there was no one in the room to be injured by the flying glass when the door imploded. I believe this machine needs to be recalled. There is a serious safety issue here that LG is not willing to recognize. Thank you for reading this. As you can see I am very upset. LG is really just trying to get rid of me and my complaint. They said this has never happened before. Now my online research has proved that this has happened to other people with LG machines. I am concerned about even using this model LG if it is ever repaired. We had a previous LG Front Loader for 8 years and had to replace it because of leaking and mold. I still have the dryer and bought this one so it would look almost the same as the dryer. We were told that the mold issue has been taken care of with the way to keep the door ajar. It is much newer and is obviously not as well built even though the other one had several bad issues such as mold and leaking. I would never buy another LG appliance. The company does not want to know that there is a fault with this current washer. Someone could have been seriously injured.

We purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot in April of 2016. One year in, we started to hear a loud rattling sound. The repairman said it was build up of ice around the fan. Fan had to be replaced and fridge defrosted and told me to keep all the seals maintained with vaseline to keep it from happening again. Now, another year later, the unit has stopped cooling. All the food in the freezer had defrosted and fridge was warm. LGs website listed two service companies in our area. First one doesnt do fridges anymore. Second one had terrible reviews so I didnt call them. Had the same repairman come out that did the fan and he says the compressor has failed. This really needs to be a class action suit against LG... So many people have the same issues and we paid close to $4000 for this refrigerator.

I purchased an LG ref side by side less than 2 years ago and the ice maker went out. Two weeks later the service man came out and said it was the board and not covered. A week later and the board was in and the ice maker still didnt work right. Then everything quit. So two weeks the service man came out and said the compressor was gone but the parts were covered not labor. Two weeks the parts came in and two men worked all day and it still didnt work but I was still charged. The repair man said it may have been a bad board and ordered another one. It came in but he ordered the wrong one. Now another two weeks and it is to be installed tomorrow. The service dept at Freds said they will sell me another one at their cost. BFD just cant get anyone to show some responsibility. LG service is a joke and the people I spoke to were rude and told me too bad there is nothing I can do. Anyone want to start a lawsuit?

LRFC22750ST - Bought new and 2 months later, the plastic tabs that hold French doors break so they have to replace both upper door assemblies because they dont sell the $2 part. Oops! The new doors dont match so now they have to order the bottom freezer door because they dont carry that style of door anymore. Sold fridge with house. Done? Nope! New house has same fridge, with broken tabs! Then the door switch fails and the lights stay on and cooks the food on the top shelf, slags the temp control unit and lens. Since you cant buy parts, I temporarily solved problem by replacing bulbs with LED ones (they dont generate much heat). Everyone Ive spoken to has similar issues as others here have listed. Bad business LG! Very short term thinking! You are creating an army of anti-LG activists.

I found a problem of condensation, top left side of the front panel on my new 5 month old LG refrigerator to contact a LG customer representative to get case number. I submitted photos showing the problem with model number. They asked me serial number but I could not find any near area where I found model number. I asked them where was the serial number but they did not respond either. They do not have any respect at all to their customer. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I bought many home appliances when I moved into my house. One company which I called about a strange issue on my oven made a schedule of tech people visit to my home right on the phone. This LG customer support people are ignoring and so slow.

The LG gas dryer that I purchased from Best Buy on 11/26/2011 and didnt receive until 12/1/2011, has been out of service since 4/3/2012, because the dryer is not igniting. I called Best Buy and because I didnt purchase their black tie warranty and it has been past their 30 day exchange period, Best Buy will not exchange my dryer. I called LG. They referred me to A-Reliable Appliance Service out of Chattanooga, TN. I called A-Reliable (what a joke) on 4/3/12, scheduled appointment for 4/5/12 and they ended up coming on 4/4/12 to see what was wrong with my dryer. A-Reliable ordered parts and replaced on 4/10/12. I work Mon-Fri 8-5, 30 minutes from home. I have to arrange for someone to meet them at my home for repairs. My mother-in-law met the service tech for them to repair my dryer. The service tech replaced sensor and thermostat valve, the dryer was still not heating after 15 min. of running and the tech left my home without dryer working saying that it was fixed. Im no genius but I can figure out that if a gas dryer is not hot after 15 min. of running, that obviously its not fixed. I called A-Reliable on 4/11/12. I was advised by Larry that his service tech was going back and forth with LG trying to figure out what is wrong with my dryer. I called Larry on 4/12/12, still same response. I called Larry on 4/13/12, still same response. I called LG. I was advised that A-Reliable Service had not been in contact with them since 4/10/12. I was told that they were supposed to have replaced an electronic control panel which was not done by A-Reliable. I asked about the manufacturers exchange and was informed that the service provider had to do what they were informed to do before that would even be considered. A-Reliable was to call me on 4/16/12, to advise when they would be out to fix my dryer. Guess what, no call. I gave them benefit of the doubt. I called Larry at A-Reliable on 4/17/12. Part was still not in, it should be there today. They will call me back to let me know, no call. Morning of 4/18/12, I called Larry at A-Reliable and part still not in should be there today. I called LG customer service and spoke with a representative. They called Larry at A-Reliable Appliance Service and found out that the part has not even been ordered. I have been lied to by Larry at A-Reliable Appliance Service since 4/11/12. This is ridiculous. A-Reliable is causing LG to lose customers because of the simple fact that they are not responsible or knowledgeable in repairing appliances. I filed a formal complaint with LG. I spoke with an executive service representative to advise the situation. She advises me that she will address this problem and get back with me and resolve the problem with the dryer that is not working!

We had an issue with our water line that took a few months to resolve. Support scheduled service without telling us the day then saying that would contact us. Overall happy with our fridge, especially now that we can FINALLY drink the water cold from the fridge since it was finally fixed and it tastes like the rest of the house.

I bought an LG French door Refer with Bottom freezer (model # LFX25960ST). Interior light stayed on, melting the plastic cover. I woke at 06:00AM on 11/19/2011 to the odor of burning plastic. I am a firefighter for 30 years, so I knew what I was smelling. It would not have been much longer before flames would have appeared. I have working smoke detectors in the house, so it may not have been tragic, with regard to loss of life, though the fire damage could have been very costly. After reading so many common instances, I will do my best to spread awareness, starting with the 3,000 active and retired members of the Fire Department I work for. I will be looking for information on recall, or class action suit. Refrigerator is stocked with Thanksgiving food, purchased yesterday. Now, I can not trust the food, and must repurchase. Luckily, I caught this when I woke up this morning. It would not have been long before this started a fire.

In less than two years it failed after a power outage. We replaced the tiny fuse, deliberately hidden to make repair very difficult, and installed surge protection. A year later, it no longer cools properly, either in fridge or freezer sections, underscored by its inability to make ice. It is very sad since the design itself is good... but the electrical and technical components are not worth it. Buying a new fridge this week, it will NOT be an LG. We used to have an LG microwave oven as well, it was truly odd. The child protective device prohibited basic usage by adults. We also replaced it with another brand.

Initially, I thought that the smell was due to sweaty football gear, but it continued after the season. We have used vinegar, bleach, you name it, yet it still smells. Now, Ive had two leaks that flooded my laundry room and I cant find the cause. My guess is that the front door seal is not seating properly every time.

I think LG refrigerator owners who are experiencing repeated compressor problems should file a Class Action Lawsuit against LG for a full original purchase price refund and subsequent repair and warranty plan costs incurred for inferior product design and manufacture. Our LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXX30776S/01 is also experiencing compressor failures. Purchased in February, 2015, the original compressor was replaced in September, 2016. Now, August, 2017 that compressor is also failing. Temperatures continue dropping in the refrigerator, freezer, and mid drawer sections even though I continue lowering the temperature set points. The ice maker is also producing small cubes at a very slow pace, and they begin melting and forming refrigerator icebergs. My wife purchased the Warrantech Extended Warranty through hhgregg. Recently Wil, the LG repair tech from Fredericksburg, VA, was at my home to service the unit. He measured temperatures, low and high side line pressures, and voltage. He cleaned some dust from the back of the refrigerator and left. He said he could not stay and further monitor the unit because it went into the defrost cycle. He told me to call him after a day or two to let him know if I was still having problems. I called and left a message on his phone. I have not received a return phone call. The temperatures continue to drop. Refrigerator performance continues to deteriorate, and $3,000.00+ has been wasted on a extremely poor product.

Got this LG top of the line unit October 2015. Within a month the water began filling through the detergent AND softener trays simultaneously. Did the digital wifi help thing dozens of times with my cellphone, they said nothing wrong, clean your inlet filters. What??? By December the tub failed to fill with enough water at all to wash anything, regardless which tray side was filling from. A load of Pure Colors came out literally with dry spots in the clothing! Add to that, the balancer within the direct drive unit was slipping badly, somewhat similar to a bad car clutch, and any size load on any cycle was being violently bashed against the inside frame. Sounded like my front door was being kicked in. So, to sum up, I have $878 worth of scrap in my house that will not fill properly, wash properly or spin properly. I still have 7 more months on the financial contract, and Im sick about it.LG finally hooked me up with an in house service guy --- he never replied to the 2 service calls that were set up --- and closed out both tickets saying customer reported solved. Really? By the way, the name of this place was Als TV and Model Railroad so that about sums up the quality of LG service!!! My lawyer is requesting certified copies of LGs warranty, the financial contract, and my phone and web interactions. I dont want to feel as if my only option is legal action, but I will if LG leaves me no other option.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator for my newly remodeled kitchen in December of 2008. During this time, I have had 9 service calls - 8 of which pertained to the water system. Each time, there was leakage in the rear of the appliance which remained undetected for some time since the fridge was built in. When finally discovered water had been sitting on my hardwood floor for days and days. The plastic water tube along the back of the appliance split twice and water valves failed 3 times. After awhile the sitting water eventually seeped into the underlayment of my hardwood floor and wicked its way out and under the floor of the eating area of my kitchen which then warped the floorboards terribly. I now have a warped, bumpy floor, very noticeable and will have to spend $3,000 to have the entire floor redone. After repeated attempts for relief from LG, I was told I had not saved all the broken parts so I had no evidence and therefore they would do nothing. Who saves the broken parts once they have been replaced? NEVER, NEVER purchase an LG refrigerator. Every time a serviceman came over he said Oh ya, LG is no good. This is not the first time I have had water and ice in the door. My last fridge was a Kenmore and never saw a sign of a leak. AGAIN, NEVER, NEVER buy one of these refrigerators.

Purchased LG dishwasher about 15 months ago. After installation, we noticed a burning odor when it was on the drying cycle. We assumed it was just the new smell that would soon go away. It never did. After about nine months, we noticed an error code (hE) and that the dishes werent drying well. Called LG and got a local repair company to come out. They replaced the motor assembly, but the code was still there. Had the repair person out again and they replaced the circuit/control board. Nada. Called again, just days before our one-year warranty had expired and they came out to replace the motor once again and this time it worked. No odor.About a month or two into the new motor, we noticed the burning smell again. This morning, the (hE) error code was back. Im not expecting much response from LG after reading the other posts listed here. Fortunately, I purchased a 4-year extended warranty from Home Depot, so guess Ill have to start wrestling with them! I wish I had looked here before I made my purchase. Just to be fair, we bought a new LG washer and dryer at the same time and have been quite pleased with its performance.

I own an LG dryer (Model: DLG5988W) just over five years now. This past summer, I noticed a noise and the felt along the rim inside the drum was coming out. I notified the service company and they ridiculously removed the felt--had to scrape glue from the unit. This took about three hours--the service person was outside in heat applying the new glue and the new felt to the drum. Keep in the mind that the entire unit needs to be taken apart to do this. When he was finished, he said that they could have ordered an entirely new drum and not have to remove and reapply the felt--but they chose to do it this way.Three months later, I noticed some markings on my clothing, sheets, blankets, and white clothing. The felt is coming out again and the noise has returned. We have contacted the service company who says that our warranty was just up about two months ago. They originally charged us approximately $300+ and now, they say that the drum needs to be replaced and it would cost about $600+.We want it replaced and the original cost be deducted, since the problem was a temporary fix. Now, they wont even return our calls. So I continue to put aside all the ruined clothing, blankets, etc. I will never ever give LG my business. I also own the frontload washer, which, by the way, smells all the time. I remember growing up and the washer and dryer lasted 15+ years. LG sucks!

I replaced a whirlpool microwave with the LG. Had to have repairs after the warranty ran out. The whirlpool was 14 years old and never had a problem. Only thing good about LG service is that the quoted price was what I paid even though they replaced 3 major components. Oh, if you havent had stainless steel appliances, they show every little fingerprint and spatter. If I had known this I would have stayed with painted surfaces.

I like the dual doors and the freezer bottom drawer which has four compartments. One for bottle of waters - thats what I use it for, a pull out shelf useful for those items you want to freeze laying down; then two deep sections. One section holds a 15lb whole turkey and several pounds of different meats, chicken and veggies. The other separate section holds fish, seafood and assorted other things. I dont need to buy a separate freezer to keep an ample supply of food on hand.

I bought a front load LG washing Machine. I unplugged the machine when I heard it making a kind of grinding sliding noise. To me it sounded like the belt broke. I called a local repairman to come see about the washer. He told me he could not help me because LG is a brand name out of Korea and its very hard to order parts for these type of machines. He told me none of the local repair guys will come fix it and if they did they would charge a lot. He told me to call the warranty company, but my warranty ran out already. I had no idea LG was a Korean name brand. I will never purchase another LG, anything.

Our LG range model LRE307578B/01 stopped heating in early December 2013. Called extended warranty company for repair service. Nite Owl Appliance Repairs, Inc. responded and evaluated our range on December 17 saying a relay and heating element were needed. On December 18 the appliance repair company said one of the parts had to be ordered because the LG warehouse did not have the part. Over 2 1/2 months have past and still no parts. Have contacted LG, the repair company and purchasing company (Home Depot) for help to be told parts are on order. Appliances break, I can handle that situation, but waiting for over 2 1/2 months for parts seems beyond reason. I truly believe our range is a lemon and should be replaced. Thank you.

***DONT BUY THIS FRIDGE*** We bought our LG french door refrigerator in March 2014. Model number LF33975st. Woke up this morning to ice on the floor, and the dispenser running nonstop. Even after turning off the ice maker, and making sure the dispenser paddle wasnt stuck, it continued to run. I called LG customer service. They cant send anyone until tomorrow. The motor on the door should be completely fried by then!!! Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty from Best Buy, because after reading this site, I am very worried about this $3700 dollar product. For this amount of money, I shouldnt be having any trouble. Especially after 2 months..

Ive had the top loading high efficiency washer for about a year and it is truly the worst purchase Ive ever made. Im almost inclined to buy a new washer and chalk up an expensive loss for the sake of my own sanity. The washer gives a UE (uneven load?) error on a fairly regular basis. This stops the already very long cycle and makes me have to reset things to finish the load. Most wash cycles take over 90 minutes. Even just a spin-only cycle is 13 minutes and it will sit weighing the load or something stupid and useless for 5 minutes before one even starts to hear it spin. The only good thing is the large size of the tub. Overall, this washer is horrible.

We have had to replace our LG French door refrigerator for the third time. We had experienced failures of the water line, ice maker, fridge gaskets (now redesigned) and freezer gaskets. LG refused to honor their warranty. They stated that with replacements, only the original warranty counts. Fortunately, Best Buy did honor their extended warranty, but each time it took a full day off of work to wait for the delivery to unload the bad refrigerator/freezer, get the new one in and the old one out, and reload whatever food had not spoiled. LG denied my poor review of their product, and the CEO has not replied to the certified letter he received over a month ago. LG simply doesnt care. Every Consumer Complaint website has multiple entries noting problems with LG.

Top load washing machine wt1201c - This washing machine I thought would be great. It turns out that the clothes would be self-balanced. It work for while but now I have to constantly watch it and rearrange the clothes throughout the washing process. What a pain! It takes hours to wash one load. It appears that the tub is detached from the washer and it vibrates so much and makes so much noise it is unbearable. I dislike this washer so much and I will never purchase an LG product again.

I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load
I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load is a water saver. However, the ability to increase the water level manually if wanting a greater rinse still gives me control over my laundry. With its many available washing options, one doesn’t have to “think” each time a load Is added; if I’m washing towels, I just choose the “Towel” option and the machine does the rest. My spin cycle is extremely effective, making the drying time a minimal. Last, the size of the tub is large enough for a thin blanket. This is nice when needing to wash stored bed coverings prior to winter use. The only con I might have is getting the message “uneven load” and of acing to stop the machine and adjust the wet items. This usually happens if I have a mix load of unlike weights.

No warning via any simple brochures or sales people that small loads result in a wet log which requires a second manual time setting extension of drying time and the separation of the individual items from the compressed log one a a time for the rerun. Sometimes the result of the rerun is loose dry items (ideal), or a dry compressed log still needing separation. This is a waste of owners time and effort. There was no such hassle with our old dryer. Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

This refrigerator performed well the first 15 months however I noticed that the freezer was not freezing properly. I had purchased a service repair warranty with my Home Depot purchase and I thought no worries. I have been waiting since March 21 for repairs. After 3 visits and numerous repair calls with executive service persons Sandy, Gel, Willie and Shay I am still waiting to learn when my refrigerator will be working. Ask the merchant before you purchase how repairs are handled. Ask questions when you purchase a service policy as to what justifies replacing the item. A refrigerator is a necessary item in the kitchen and I feel that waiting more than one month for a repair is horrible.

I placed calls to LG to arrange for my 3 year old refrigerator to have a new compressor installed. I had a local company confirm this was the reason for the breakdown. The first call at the beginning of the year did not ever end up with a response or resolution (someone was supposed to contact me). I waited several months and contacted LG again. The support desk had me upload all of my warranty information to their site through a provided link. Again, I was assured that someone would contact me to arrange this repair within a short period of time. Again, this did not ever occur.Today, almost a year later, I have purchased a new appliance because keeping my food in a cooler for 10 months was not an option. I have posted the fridge for scrap on Kijiji and a local person responded within an hour to remove it from my home. Too bad that LG couldnt have responded as efficiently. A lot of wasted money in both purchase price and time trying to resolve/arrange the warranty. My questions are these. How is it that a manufacturer is not held accountable for failure to provide what they are legally responsible for? What recourse is there when this process fails? At what point does one give up because they have spent hours and hours trying to get the warranty service? Like many Canadians, I am a working individual and dont have endless hours to dedicate to continued follow-up. Appliances are expensive purchases yet there seems to be no process where the companies are made responsible for providing the warranty coverage they espouse. My hope is that this changes in the future.

I bought this very top of the line energy efficient LG washer and dryer for over $2,500. I wanted to be environmentally considerate. But now I have to wash my cloth 2 or 3 times to get them clean. The washer does not allow enough water to the cloth to get them even fully wet. The sports clothes of my teenager still smells bad after 2 wash. When I called the company they send out a technician that did literally nothing but read the error codes to someone over the phone and then told me that the machines are not meant to give water to get the cloth soaked and hence my cloth cannot get clean! If it bothers me that much I should consider buying a top loader that will allow enough water to get into machine to actually wash my cloth. I dont even want to start talking about the washer bouncing around and not getting balanced. I had someone 3 times here to try to balance the machine so it does not make all this noise but then was told that my floor is not leveled and this is the best they can do. This is the worst machine ever and I feel I was ripped off! NEVER again a LG in my house!

We purchased an LG top-load washing machine in early Dec. We waited until Valentines Day for it to be delivered! A new machine was needed after 15 years of washing 4 athletic boys & a construction working husbands clothes! Our trusty Maytag front-load machines were going out. I wanted to buy new Maytag machines but I got talked into LG by the salesperson & fellow customers. I will just state now how truly sorry I am for being swayed into that decision because it was 1 of the worst choices Ive made. I cannot stand this machine! Im not exaggerating when I say my clothes come out of the machine dirtier than when I put them in! The clothes dont even get covered in water! I know theyre environmentally friendly, but even when you use the water plus option there should not enough water to get all the clothes wet! I have to physically get my arms in the machine & agitate the clothes.I called the store we purchased them from and of course since they are used they wont return them. I call LG, whose customer service is in a foreign country and the guy proceeds to tell me in a heavy accent that I dont know how to use the washing machine. Its user error. He didnt believe me that the clothes werent washing and continued to argue with me that I didnt read the manual. I asked what we could do to solve this problem & he told me theres nothing they can do. LG... Lifes good... NOT if you own an LG appliance! After reading the reviews here, I realize I am not alone. We bought our LG oven prior to buying the LG dishwasher.... a few years apart. Initially, I did not have any real problems with the stove/oven EXCEPT that the control panel cracked shortly after we got it, like a month. Fine, everything else was working. We let it go. BUT, now we are having serious issues & of course, they all came to the surface right before this holiday season. Just before Thanksgiving, the stovetop burner would not turn off. I thought it was just my husband being an idiot as he was rushing out of the house making a Jambalaya for the Giants’ pregame tailgate. However, it turns out he wasnt making it up.... It was hot for a long time and would not turn off. HS, hot surface, was the code but the burner was glowing bright red as if it were on HIGH. Took forever to clean that pan. My Le Creuset no less. Then after that, the oven started burning everything and cooking things funny. Burnt on the outside and mushy, undercooked on the inside. Last night, I tried again to use oven.... F-9 error came up. I turned it on and off. Yes, that was my solution in the moment. Now I see that the ovens with that specific warning are a SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD. The ovens catch fire from the malfunctions according to other reviewers. This is shocking and a real issue. I have 3 kids. Honestly, I cant believe Home Depot carries LG after reading all these other accounts of LG breaking down & just not working. So, no holiday cookies or turkey this holiday season b/c my oven that is LESS than 4 years old malfunctioned & is a piece of crap!!!!!!! No food memories with my kids that you daydream about, look forward to with holidays approaching. Nope! Hopes and dreams dashed by LG. And forget about getting a repairperson to come to work on LG. I called several places in the area, and they practically hung up on me when I said I had an LG. As the previous reviewers noted, repair must be done by certified LG contractor. Finally had Ultra Wiz (recommended through LG consumer support) came to take care of the LG dishwasher, which I stupidly bought not realizing LG sucks. The LG dishwasher is quite possibly the worst dishwasher I have ever had. Pretty much had problems with it after 6 months. Within 18 months now, I have had the dishwasher serviced 3x. Ridiculous. As I write this, I am on hold with LG begging for a refund for the stove but that will probably only happen when hell freezes over. Nope, as usual... They say I have to pay for repair and then my case will be presented for evaluation by said mystery higher up. So, I have to spend more money on junky LG product to even get consideration for a refund.... I would take half of what I spent on the stove at this point and put it towards a product that actually works. The only reason I am not stark raving mad is b/c we are about to renovate our current kitchen, and I am getting new appliances anyway. BUT STILL LG is horrid. Never again will I recommend, let alone, buy another single LG product. NEVER. I wish we could ban together and sue LG. Btw, the CEO Bon-Joon Koo is worth 840 million! No wonder he looks so happy in all the photos.

Updated on 08/21/2019: This is an update to my previous post about my 3 year old LG refrigerator. LG tech was great but could not fix my refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and left saying it will take some time to cool. The next day it was hotter than before inside. I called him and he came back next day to find a clog and a broken pipe. He had me send the original receipt. He submitted it to deem the fridge unable to be fixed and needing replacement.Apparently, the entire process can take up to two weeks... so I am to go without a fridge for that long. I purchased a mini fridge, but I’m sure LG will not be reimbursing me for that either. As well, LG ONLY reimburses you what they deem the refrigerator is now worth, since it is 3 years old. Yet, I have seen statements by LG in warranties and online that are misleading about this “replacement”.Lastly, I have a dead, large refrigerator sitting here and no information on LG picking this up. Even if I wanted to go buy a replacement prior to LG getting through their long approval process AFTER the tech explained it all, I can’t!!! I am single and have no way to remove it. LG - You owe me the money that I spent on this refrigerator just 3 years ago, plus the cost of the mini fridge I had to buy. And you need to remove this worthless fridge this week! I have never had so many issues with a refrigerator (even 10yrs old), much less all of the trouble I’m having to go through for this lemon product I was sold!Original review: It seems my refrigerator will fall under the same bucket of consumers that have started the class action lawsuit! I bought the LG Side by Side Refrigerator in Stainless Steel in May of 2016. It has suddenly just stopped cooling. Opened my freezer to find melted food all over and had to throw out hundreds of dollars of food from the freezer and fridge!Contacted LG on Saturday and they said I only have warranty to replace for 1 yr. Some parts are warrantied for 5 yrs and some 13, though. The rep was scripted and seemed annoyed if I asked any questions about best temperature, etc. So, not a great experience with their customer support after their appliance fails after only 3 yrs! She did give me a “courtesy” one-time free service call. But, who knows how much it will cost in the end, nor how long parts will take.I’m fairly certain the compressor went bad, due to the symptoms and fact that coils are cleaned. The model I bought had the linear compressor - which I was sold on by Home Depot as being great per warranty and reliability. Upon now reading the class action suit that’s ongoing... the issue is these linear compressors failing at 3 yrs on average!I will never buy an LG appliance again! I bought their washer and dryer and the dryer stopped working in 1 yr and 1 month after purchase. That also required repair and I was without a dryer for over a week. I’m single and facing upcoming lay-offs at my job. In all my 44 yrs, I have never had any issues like this with a refrigerator, or dryer (even at 10+ years!). I have already lost money from all my food going bad and expensive medication for my pet has also gone bad! LG can’t get anyone out here until Tuesday. They need to do the right thing for customers that experience this with faulty parts, or appliances... without a lawsuit, or hassle!

I am just disappointed that my fridge is so new yet had these problems. We were out of our main fridge for a week. First the compressor was replaced and then it still wasnt working. Luckily the LG technician was fantastic and was back ASAP and found a leak, which he fixed and so far so good.

I purchased an the 22 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator. Delivery was delayed 17 days. I moved to a new state where I know no one! 17 days of eating out during Covid times was challenging and expensive. I asked LG for an inconvenience fee and was offered $25! I said no. Then I was offered $50, then $75. I refused all offers. I was spending $30-$50 a day in eating out which cost me over $800! I asked to speak to a manager, who after one week of waiting, never called. I spent countless hours waiting on hold with LG customer service. The last attempt today I spoke with Tim who actually argued with me. He insisted that LG will not give more than $75. I work in customer service and call centers so I know what they are allowed to offer and say. Tim was more than rude and had zero understanding nor care of my situation. He continually cut me off when I was speaking! Who does he think he is?I love my fridge, but the customer service at LG needs a full revamp! I hope the call was recorded because Tim should be fired for how he spoke to me. Apparently a manager is supposed to contact me.... This is the 2nd time Ive heard that. Well see. LG has not heard the last of me. Im now even more angry with how I have been treated. After 17 days with no fridge and now 2 weeks of waiting on hold with LG....unbelievable!

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 09/29/2015. After 4 years of service it suddenly stopped working. I had not heard of the problems til this moment. Looking at everything on the internet I wonder if I shouldnt just buy a different refrigerator. We have had a tech here and he is ordering a new compressor for our frig. We lost all or most of the food plus we had to purchase a small freezer to keep food in so we werent running out with our concerns about COVID. I had bought an extended warranty at the time of purchase because the fridge. Was only fully covered for 1 year. Now I understand LG has revised it to cover 5 years so I spent that money for nothing. We are retired and so our money is tight and every cost affects the budget. We havent had a refrigerator for just about a week and now I am thinking about buying a small one for my garage just to keep cold drinks and condiments. With the freezer and small fridge Ill have spent 400.00 dollars and I now I think the money would have been better spent buying a different brand. I havent had to deal with LG in any of this with my extended warranty and with other complaints not sure I want to. If you are reading these post stay away from LG refrigerator until they prove they have fixed these problems. They had to settle a class action lawsuit in 2014 and now are back in court as of 2019 with the same problem and new complaints. This means that LG has had an ongoing problem without resolution for over ten years and are willing to continue to sell these products. If this were a car company they would be forced to make a recall.
