I purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2017. (Note: it is not yet 3 years old.) I absolutely love the refrigerators features: The 3 drawers in the bottom freezer, the ice/water dispenser and maker in the door, the large, wide door shelves, the separate crisper drawer. (BTW, I still love their design.) The problems with this refrigerator began 2 years after purchasing it. Since then, this less-than-3-year-old refrigerator has completely stopped cooling 3 separate times. We have replaced all the parts in the entire cooling system: the compressor, the evaporator, the filter dryer, and a service valve. It has cost us many hundreds of dollars in labor costs, parts, and food loss. It just broke on us for the last time. We are chucking this lemon and buying a new Not-LG refrigerator. If you look online, you will see a class action suit against LG due to their cooling system issues. LG has known that the design of their refrigerator cooling system is faulty, and they have continued to sell them without addressing their design problems. Once the first year of use is behind you, you must pay for these repairs. In my opinion, LG does not deserve your business. More importantly, you DO NOT WANT an LG! No one wants this much malfunction and trouble.

Do not buy LG all in one washer and dryer. It doesnt dry at all, clothes get hotter and wetter, I followed all instructions. It also says takes 6 hours and 10 mins to dry a small load, which it didnt. LG tech came turned it on and off didnt try the dryer cycle. I found out LG only turn on and off any of their products, without looking at the problem. Therefore if it turns and off they say no problems. Never buy LG products.

I’ve had the problem with knobs of the range turning on when you lean against them. I searched for a solution for last two years, even on this forum. I finally found it. There is a LOCKOUT function, located on the “LOWER clear/off” pad. Hold for 3 seconds and it locks ovens and burners! Press for 3 seconds and it unlocks. Very easy and it makes this range safe again. I hope the people who posted this problem before see this.

I wish I had read all the reports about the LG refrigerator, particularly the French door model with icemaker housed in the refrigerator door. We purchased this supposedly state of the art refrigerator in March, but recently attached the water supply hose for the water/ice dispenser. The water dispenser worked fine, but the icemaker did not. A call went out to the service department and a technician came to fix the problem yesterday. Well, he replaced the motherboard and a fan at the back of the freezer. A brand new refrigerator needs to have these items replaced already??? Long story short, this morning, we woke up to a mess in the refrigerator/freezer because everything had melted. Neither the refrigerator nor freezer is working. Of course, service is closed on the weekends. So now, I have a $3000 storage box sitting in my kitchen with a houseful of guests arriving in a few days. My concern is after reading about all these problems reported on this website, we will be faced with continuous problems in the future (especially after the product goes off warranty!!!). LG... Life Good?? In my opinion, I think not if you own one of their refrigerators. Sorry to say. I am hopeful that this problem will be resolved, but after reading post after post about these same issues, I am not holding my breath. :(

Bought this $2600 fridge (LG LMXS30776S) in 2015. A week ago, noticed frozen fruit was soft enough to crunch. Took temperature of fridge and freezer compartments. Fridge: 49 deg F, Freezer 33 deg F. Compressor running non-stop. Pulled covers on evaps, partial frosting. No error codes. Got a replacement fridge off Craigslist that weekend. Plugged LG fridge back in, compressor comes on, but there is no cooling now. Indicates leak in sealed system. No error codes anywhere. Called local appliance shop -- $700 and it could take a month. Complained to LG on Facebook, they responded that they have a tech that could fix it total/flat rate of $375. Unbelievable. Pretty sure what happens with the compressor failure is that the refrigerant leaks out and the compressor keeps running harder and longer until it burns out. Cant believe that there arent any sensors to at least shut it off before burning out. Wont ever buy anything LG again.

Run from LG Refrigerators! Do not buy one! They are the worst and the company is terrible when requesting warranty service!!! We have had an LG fridge for 6 years. It is now on its 3rd complete compressor failure. When calling LG I keep getting told by their customer service that we are in the queue. Fridge has been broken for 7 day and we are still in the queue. The customer service person hopes we will be up in another 24-48 hours. After we get out of the queue, it can take 3-5 days for a service person to get parts. What a bunch of crap! Crappy fridge, crappy customer service, crappy company! Avoid LG!!!!

I purchased my LG top load washer almost 2 years ago and for about the last 6-9 months, had nothing but problems. The machine shakes violently when in spin mode, will get the UE signal 1/2 way through the wash and then restart the wash ALL OVER AGAIN! As a result of the machine going in and out, I had to lug clothes to the coin operated machine, which by way, is around $20.00 each visit! Ive had to make TWO service calls now and working on the THIRD! Im so fed-up that Im going to look into purchasing another machine this weekend! LG should make this wrong right and refund our money BACK!

My refrigerator has malfunctioned 3 times for the same issue and once for a different issue. I’ve lost a ton of food and had to purchase a deep freezer as a backup because I don’t know when the fridge will go down again. I was told that the labor rate is a flat $250 but they’ll charge you an additional $125 for preauthorization fee. Their refrigerators are not good products. You’ll have problems with the ice dispensers from the beginning.

DLG2302R - We purchased an LG washer and dryer about 4 years ago. After 6 months, the dryer button would not work (to start the dryer). It was still under warranty and a technician came out. He wasnt sure what was wrong, but he tried replacing a part he thought might be the problem. It worked for a while longer after that, then it would turn on sometimes but not other times. We called again. Now it was out of warranty, and we could not afford to replace the front panel to fix it (we already spent $2,000 to purchase the pair). Then the dial quit working (still doesnt work). As a result, we have had to manually program the time/heat setting with other buttons on the panel. We never know if the dryer will work when we need something to be dried. Like today 4 years later.

Amazingly bad service with what is supposed to be a great appliance company
Amazingly bad service with what is supposed to be a great appliance company. My 6 year old French Door refrigerator wont dispense water. I performed all the troubleshooting by the book and via a text message from LG. Sat on the phone for 20 minutes waiting to speak to a live person after being told every minute that someone would be with me in four minutes. When the person came on the phone she knew nothing about the appliance side of the business. She took my zip code and put me back on hold to find me a service company. After a few minutes on hold, she came back and gave me four companies, one I had already called and they told me they do not repair LG because parts are too difficult to get. I called the other three. Spoke to one, has not repaired LG for two years because of parts issues. The other two called me back this morning. One will not come to my area and the other is too busy and too short staffed to service in my area. I live in Newark, DE!!! I cant believe the unacceptable level of service and uncaring responses I am getting from this company and its service network. Maybe it is time for a change.

Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! Is anybody there???

Purchased this washer in March of 2011. At first this washer worked great. Then it started to vibrate a lot more than it used to early on, then it started to tell me loads were constantly UE or uneven, then it started giving an IE code. It wasnt until the IE code that we called Sears... 2 months after our expensive $170 3 year warranty. They told us the part and we ordered it... wrong part. Finally got the right part and replaced it. The machine worked ok but we still had excessive vibrations and then it started stopping on 17 minutes. Wouldnt get past that time. Now, it is stopping at 45 minutes... and it took 3 hours to get to that point. My husband called Sears after finding out our machine is recalled and they claim that our machine doesnt count. He called a different Sears number and they said to call LG because its an LG machine. He calls LG and LG says that they no longer have a relationship with Sears and we need to talk to them. We then talk to Sears and the rep says our machine is definitely recalled but we need to call the recall line (which was the 1st call that had been made). He gives us the number to the escalation department and the rep claims she cant find our account. Then she says she needs a few minutes to research it and the call is disconnected. What are we supposed to do now? There really is a recall on this machine and I think it shook so bad over time that something was damaged in the unit. Sears wont help. LG wont help. Who can help? We are just out the 800 we paid? It is just my husband and I so it isnt like this machine was even used that much. No one will help us. What do we do now?

When we decided to buy an LG refrigerator, we considered the options they had and the style. We looked at other brands before we decided on this one too. Anyway, I like the French door, however were not very happy with the appliance because its only been three years and its not cooling. There was something going on about the compressor having problems with this particular model that we bought, but the problem we had was a leak on the evap. coil. We called LG directly and they sent someone out to fix it, which is good. The contractor was good and they fixed the problem.

We purchased an lxsc22396s refrigerator and it stopped working within 90 days. We purchased this refrigerator on 05/24/18 (paid over $2000 for it) and on 07/23/18, it stopped dispensing water, the ice melted, it stopped cooling, and cost us over $250 of spoiled groceries. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

I bought an LG washer model number WT5001C in April 2012. One year, the water pump is so close to the tub that the tub knocked the water pump out of place causing it to cut into the water outlet. This resulted in water being released all over the floor. In trying to get this repaired, I discovered that LG parts are not stocked here in Dallas but at one distributor. And the best case lead time is 7 days to get the new water pump.

We too made the mistake of purchasing an LG front loading washer and dryer from Best Buy. After just 15 months, the circuit board on the dryer went out. The technician that came out told us it was probably because of the vibrations from the washer which the dryer was stacked on top of. The salesperson at Home Depot, who sold us the stacking package, never indicated that this could create a problem. Lucky for us that when I called LG, they agreed to extend our warranty enough to cover the bad circuit board. They would not refund the $85 I spent having a technician come to my house to diagnose the original problem. I have read a lot of complaints about LG washers and dryers and I cannot believe that no consumer groups or the consumer protection agency of our government have not jumped all over this. A dryer used under normal conditions should work for years without any of the types of major problems that are being noted all over the internet. I, for one, will never buy an appliance from Best Buy nor another LG appliance.

LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.

Just purchased an LG Model LFX31925ST French Door refrigerator 12/4/14. Connected the unit on 12/6, set freezer temp to recommended -4 and lo and behold, the freezer wouldnt freeze. Decreased the temp to -6 and it still wouldnt freeze. Frozen food transferred from the old Amana unit, which was freezing quite nicely by the way, all thawed and had to be transferred to the even older 23 year-old Whirlpool unit we keep in the garage! Called LG service on 12/7, they conducted the (Not-so) Smart Diagnostics and said that the unit was functioning properly, NOT! Completed reset of the system, was told to wait 4-6 hours and call back. Well, we waited seven hours and if anything, the freezer got warmer! Technician is due to arrive 12/9 to repair the unit. Is this how all LG refrigerator units behave? Think well go back to the tried and true Whirlpool appliances. At least we know they actually work. At this point, Lifes Not-so Good!

We purchased a top load LG Wave Force about 5 years ago. For the past few years, I have noticed brown flakes on my clothes, especially white ones that I need to hang dry. The multiple times I have called LG to complain about the brown flakes on my clothes, they said no one has complained about such flakes. I had a repair guy come out and he took the metal piece out from the inside of the washer. The underside was so disgusting with nasty brown slime. He said there is no way to get the drum out without dismantling the entire washing machine, which he did not recommend. I scrubbed the metal piece he removed and took a soft brush to the underside of the barrel through the inside of the washer. I was never able to get all of the gunk out but it did get better. Now it is back to how it was before with nasty gunk again. I clean the washer every week with Lemi-Shine. I have tried everything. I hate this washer. It has ruined so many of my clothes with brown gunk stains. And the fact that LG says no one has ever complained about this issue is a lie. Two of my best friends have the same issue. I hate hate hate this washer and LG for not keeping track of the people reporting the EXACT same issue I am having. Do NOT buy this washer or the Kenmore version of it.

I bought one of LGs “French door” models in July 2014. The compressor has already gone out. Initially, I really liked the unit, with the exception that the ice maker in the door did not stay cold enough and the ice melts together and has to be thrown out every few days. I was willing to overlook this because the rest of the refrigerator worked great. Produce stays fresh for several weeks.I am giving this refrigerator and LG 1 star mostly because of the service, which is almost non-existent. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I knew that the compressor was out because I woke up one morning and both the refrigerator and freezer were warm, even though the lights and water dispenser were still working and I could not hear the compressor. I tried to “diagnose” the issue so I could let the LG representative know, but it would not give me a reading. The ability to use your smartphone to diagnose issues was one of the selling points of this refrigerator. However, I had to wait two weeks (including over Labor Day weekend) just to have someone come to confirm that the compressor was the issue. The service person opened the refrigerator and used his own phone to determine that the compressor was out. I had to pay him the $100.00 trip fee for him to do something that I should have been able to do. Then I had to wait another 8 days for them to order the parts and come back to install the new compressor. The day before the second appointment, they called to confirm that all of the parts had arrived, but only 2 of the 3 parts had come. They told me they were cancelling the appointment and rescheduling it for another week out. I had to demand that they keep the appointment and I tracked down the missing part myself and picked it up at UPS. Finally, the technician came to replace the compressor yesterday, and I immediately knew something was wrong because it made a loud vibrating noise that has not stopped, which began as soon as he left. I called him and left a message but didn’t get a callback. He had indicated that it would take until this morning to cool down enough for food storage. I decided to wait it out and see if the noise would stop. Not only did the noise not stop, but the refrigerator and freezer are still warmer than the inside of my home.I now get to wait another 5 days for them to come back to re-check the refrigerator. I do not have a second refrigerator, so I am living out of a dorm-size refrigerator and buying ice at the gas station. My interactions with LG and A & E Service have been so negative and their service has been so slow that I have decided to use a different brand of appliances in a new home that is under construction. I will never buy another LG product again.

I am not one to leave reviews for products... especially negative ones. But I have been so frustrated with our customer service at LG that I figured this was my only recourse. We have an LG refrigerator that is less than four years old. We paid about $2500 for it. We kept the one year warranty that came with it when we purchased it new. Within six months we had to use the warranty because something went wrong with the ice maker. It was frustrating that we had to wait about a week to get it fixed, but it was fixed with no cost to us as it was under warranty and all of the service and product was covered.Since then, the middle plastic drawer in the freezer broke and we eventually ended up just removing it from the freezer. Most recently our ice maker stopped working and eventually the refrigerator stopped cooling. After making no less than six phone calls to customer service and following their trouble shooting, we finally had to call a local service provider. The problem was that we could not find anyone in our area who worked with LG. Literally every place we called stated that LG was difficult to work with and their systems were difficult to diagnose. We found an LG certified technician about 45 minutes away but they wanted $200 plus mileage to come out and look at it. (Our one year warranty was up, so the only parts covered were the compressor and coils. Service was no longer covered). After making several more phone calls to LG, they told me that if I could find someone to look at it, then they would work with that technician to help us get it fixed. All I needed to do was to give them the contact information of the provider that we were going to use. Even after I did this, they told me that it would take 3-5 business days for them to approve the technician (at this point it has already been 4 weeks without use of our refrigerator). I asked for a supervisor and the policy was that they could not give me the direct number of a supervisor, that I had to wait for a phone call in return. I am a physician and do not have access to my phone during most of the day. When the supervisor did call back, she did not leave a return phone number, nor did she answer my question and instead, just reiterated that it would be 3-5 days for them to approve our technician. When the technician did come out, he discovered that there was a blockage within the sealed system that was causing the Freon to not move freely throughout the unit. His recommendation was to junk our refrigerator because he would have to completely take apart the sealed system and stated that this was too difficult. In his words no one in their right mind would take this apart and fix it and left it up to me to deal with LG because of past experience, he would not work with them. After more phone calls to LG and them refusing to provide me with the service department number (citing privacy policy), their solution was to call an LG certified technician. So I was back to calling the person who charged $200 plus mileage (the only one I could find within 60 miles who would come look at it). When I spoke with the technician on the phone, they indicated that they do sealed system work because LG wants to uphold their warranty. It was going to be a minimum of $400 to take apart the refrigerator and could be up to $1200 because it was so labor intensive. Keep in mind, that I spoke to several technicians who stated that they would total it, but the LG certified technician was the only one who would do the work.We have decided to just junk our refrigerator and buy a new one that is NOT LG. This is ridiculous because our fridge is less than 4 years old and we have already had these three major issues. In all of the phone calls to the LG customer service department, not once did I get any empathy or an apology for what we were dealing with. Not one customer service representative offered an alternative solution. They provided only barriers for us to get our refrigerator fixed. As I shared our story with our friends and family, we heard other experiences of very poor customer service and products through LG and we will never buy an LG product again.

I purchased an LG refrigerator less than 2 years ago. Last week the compressor went out. I called LG and raised Cain and they agreed to cover all expenses related to the repair. Today the technician comes out and says I owe 79.95 for the diagnostic visits. I called LG and their customer service rep says yes they will cover the service call. Then the tech says no they wont. So when I speak with the supervisor of customer service he says no they wont cover it. So in spite of the fact that I was told they would cover everything, they will not cover the service call. There is no way I should be out any money on a fridge less than 2 years old. My grandmother had a fridge for 45 years. Today they make pieces of crap and create a revenue stream that end in purchasing another piece of crap. My next fridge will be a Sub Zero. I dont care how much it costs up front. At least you dont have to pump money into them constantly. I had one before this and it lasted 26 years with only one call for the ice maker. LG sucks.

I used to own a front load LG washer. It was great and served our needs very well for years. The only problem with it was it sprung a leak and we could not get a repair man out to fix it in our area! I decided it was time to replace this machine and bought another LG washer, this time a top load. What a mistake! This washer is a nightmare. It has wrecked our sheets. They are permanently stained a blotchy grey color. They have large bleach stains as well. This is not where it stops either. Our towels are all bleach stains, as well as socks and other items a person would use bleach for. This washer wrecked many of our belongings! I just hate it! It got moisture in the control panel a few weeks after owning it. I phoned to Lowes and they told me to call LG. LG told me to call a service company who would not come out until LG called them for fear of not being paid. I have never had any result! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY I PERSONALLY SAVED TO PURCHASE THIS DETRIMENT TO MY HOUSEHOLD!

Purchased all new LG appliances and 11.5 months to the day my freezer stopped working. I have had 3 different service companies come to my house all claiming its a different issue. Two weeks ago another company came out and replaced the compressor, it lasted two weeks. I lost most of the food in my freezer and now the refrigerator is holding a balmy 53 degrees. According to the USDA, food stores longer than two hours in temp over 43 should not be consumed. The repair place has to come tomorrow and declare a lemon, but who knows how long it will be before they take care of this, if they ever do. All I can say is NEVER BUY LG products.

I purchased the washer and dryer because I had had good experience with my LG television. To my total surprise, these two products are absolutely the worst pieces of junk I have ever experienced. What I would give to have my old washer and dryer back. The water level does not half cover the clothes and they come out almost as dirty as they go in. I turn the ** thing on and off until the water level at least cover the clothes. Im not sure what goes with the dryer but the clothes come out stinking and I keep turning the dryer back on thinking they are not getting dry enough and are mildewing. Ive tried everything I can think of and used so many different products to try to get a better result, but nothing works. I hate my LG products.

This LG manufacturer has to be the worst experience of customer service I have ever had in my life. I have been trying to contact customer service, the supervisor of LG and all they kept doing is lying to me and promised me a courtesy refrigerator bin and told me I would get a call from the supervisor. In 3 days they havent called. I called them back and told them what happened. They gave me confirmation numbers 3 times and kept me on hold for 40 minutes just to get through a supervisor, the customer service agent told me she will just email me a order # to my email. I checked my email and there is no email from LG. I called again and told me, We cannot send you the bin cause your warranty expired. There you go more lies from LG.Thats after they told me they had no problem sending me one courtesy bin to my home. Still nothing. They wasted my time on the phone and lying to me. Some of their product are cheap. They are plastic and break so easily and are very fragile. They treat their customers bad and they really dont care from the way their employees treat the consumers. From my experience do not buy from LG. They treat you horribly and they lie to their customers. They are people you wouldnt want to do service with and they need to improve their products. I am serious!!! Stay away from my horrible experience with LG!

When I decided to purchase this washer, I chose LG expecting to be dealing with one of the top corporations in electronics. What a disappointment! On trying to have it repaired - error message indicating the machine is not draining - I contacted you asking for a local authorized dealer. I was given the name of RISING SERVING SOLUTIONS whom I contacted and got an appointment for a WEEK LATER. So far, after 3 visits of their technician who changed the drain motor twice, the brain of the machine and having paid $390 for the repair, I continue to have the same exact problem. On my last conversation with the technician he alleged that the problem is with the drain hose/pipe.Although Im not knowledgeable on the subject this explanation makes no sense, since the machine drains water properly on the wash and rinse cycles, presenting the problem only on the spin going on to dry cycle. Calling twice and speaking to your supervisors at customer service led nowhere. What to do next?

The dishwasher, model LDF7774BD has poorly designed racks... glasses and dishes fall over or roll around when you open and close the unit when adding additional dishes until it is full enough to run. The rack design is the big negative, will not hold as many dishes as our old one. We really did read the owners manual and watched the online videos which are not much help. Dont buy this oven - its a dangerous design and a safety risk. My LG double oven came with the house I recently purchased. In the 9 weeks of living in my home, the stove has been accidentally turned on 5 times, with burners heating up without knowing it until a accident occurs. The most recent incidents were caused by my dog, almost catching a box on fire - when I got to the kitchen, the box was glowing orange. This morning, my dog was trying to eat the leftover chicken casserole I had in my large Pyrex dish on the stove. She accidentally turned on the burner and the large did completely shattered all over the kitchen - countertops, floor and stove had glass everywhere. On the other occasion it was a simple case of just pushing the front buttons and the burner automatically turns on. My daughter and I had this happen. This range is very poorly designed and should be of a grave concern if you have small children. They are very easily able to access those front burner buttons. Today I am having a new GE double oven installed (at my cost of $1200), but the burner buttons are high on top of the control panel. For my own piece of mind and safety for my family, I felt this was needed. I cant comment on the product performance, but the design is definitely a risk. This design is not unique to LG, many other manufacturers have front buttons, but I cant comment on how easy they turn on.

When we built our house in 2006, I specifically requested LG appliances. This was a huge mistake. Within 2 1/2 years, the dishwasher quit working. I went to LGs site and found a repairman. He proceeded to tell me that the motor had burned out and it would be over $300 to repair. LG said that since it was a 2-year warranty, they could not help me. Last year, the temperature control on my range went out. The temp would be set for 350 and within a few minutes, the entire kitchen was filled with smoke because it had scorched everything in the oven. Needless to say, I didnt even bother with a repairman. I simply replaced the stove. At about the same time, the icemaker in the French door refrigerator quit working. After googling troubleshooting recommendations, it would appear that this is defective as well. It would be over $200 to repair but I believe it was mentioned that it would fail again soon so there wasnt any point in replacing it. That leaves the over the range microwave. So far, it is the only thing that hasnt screwed up. I will never purchase nor recommend purchasing another LG appliance.

This is the first step on my mission to educate my friends before anyone buys a new dishwasher. Do Not buy LG brand dishwasher. If you do, do yourself a favor and buy the extended warranty, you will need it. I started having an issue right after mine went out of warranty. I paid for one repair, about $150, and that didnt fix the problem. Then I had a different repair person come out, factory authorized mind you, and he replaced some parts. He was here 3 times for another $350 and the problem persisted. I didnt bother to call him back, just thought I could live with the noise that was coming out because the machine was cleaning my dishes just fine. However, last night the same error code that started the whole thing happened again. So today I called to speak to LG Consumer services. I once again got the runaround, with the technician telling me I had to perform something on the machine and see if it worked. I gave him hell and reminded him how much I spent on the high end dishwasher and how much I have spent in repairs already and I think its BS to expect the consumer to do anything to try and fix it. The first time I called, he had me running around looking for screwdrivers so I could level a dishwasher that didnt need leveling! So, I told him I wouldnt do what he wanted me to and I didnt expect to have to pay for yet another service call for this crappy machine. I wanted to speak to his supervisor. When she got on the phone, I went through the whole thing again and of course the parts that were replaced are now not under warranty, so the only thing they could do is suggest I call the repairman again and have him call them to assist in figuring out what the problem. Of course I would need to pay for all of this, since there is no warranty left. I told the supervisor that I dont think that I will. I will go and buy a different dishwasher of another brand before I put more good money after bad. I have already spent more than half in repairs on what I paid for the stupid thing in the first place.

I bought the LG Front Loader 4 years ago at Home Depot and it has ruined comforters, sheets and clothes with greasy black stains which dont come out, especially if you dont notice them and put the item in the dryer. If you catch them and rewash with bleach, they become light brown stains, but dont go away. It doesnt happen all the time, but often enough to completely frustrate us. We always use the detergents, no softeners and some liquid bleach. We run the tub clean cycle once a month and wipe out the nasty black gunk from the gasket regularly. I cant imagine that gunk is normal. I have owned many washing machines and none has ever left my laundry ruined like this.

I purchased a side by side Lg refrigerator in 2018 from Home Depot. I also purchased an extended warranty for this product through Home Depot. The extended warranty company is Asurion. After 2 years and 1 month my fridge died. It would not cool. This happened on a Sunday. So I called Lg that day to find out they were closed. Then called my extended warranty dept. My first called I was put on hold for 39 minutes...only to be disconnected. My second call, after another 40 minutes, I spoke to Dwayne ** who gave me a claim number and said a service person would arrive that day between 8-4. No one showed up. That night I called Asurion again. This time I spoke with Natasha, who gave me another claim number and said a serviceman would arrive on Monday. No one showed. I then called Lg directly who told me it would 5-7 days to get a service repair date.. I then lost it...They said they have no one in my area who accepts their coverage. So now Im without a fridge, lost all my food and no repair date. This is the worst company. Do not buy their products. You will be wasting your money like I did. LG representative are location in the Philippines. They could care less about you and I... the consumer. We are thoroughly disgusted with the warranty, the product and lg. Beware...lg is not US friendly. If they were I would not have to wait over a week just to get a repair person to come and look. Wonder how long it will take to repair. Just a faulty machine, lucky us. They had me running circles to try to pay a claim. Finally I just paid out of pocket to fix downstairs ceiling, electrical etc. The washer continued to be a problem, rusting on the side near the top and we would see some water running down the side. We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors
We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors in 2011. Four years in - we had trouble with the food thawing in the freezer and ice maker stopped working. A repairman through LG came out and did a repair and fixed it. As soon as the warranty was up (Jan 2016) it happened again. We were given a choice - pay $294.50 for a 1x visit and 60 days coverage of the same issue or $444.05 for 1 year warranty for any problem.Since we figured this was a big problem, we went with the $444. The repairman came again and flushed the system - started working again. 5 months later the same thing happened - he replaced the compressor. Still under warranty. Warranty expired in July 2017 - Oct 2017 the same thing happened. LG will not do anything about it because its not under warranty even though its the same problem from the beginning. Now Im faced with a non working refrigerator and a decision of paying a huge amount to get it fixed or moving on from a 6 year old refrigerator. Never will buy LG again.

Purchased new microwave (plus suite of electronics) made by LG (Model LMV1683ST) at HH Gregg. Did not do extended warranty. Purchased Jan 2014 and died June 6, 2015. Will not heat nor will turntable turn. Called LG and went thru diagnostics, which I had already performed. I asked them about write ups online about this model number that indicated a design flaw that causes this issue. They declined to answer. If I were in Australia we would have had a two year warranty, but not in the US. They provided a list of places I could call for service but none of them provided it in our area. And lastly on our chat they did say it was a good thing I kept our 20 year old back up that still works great (not an LG). They dont even offer any type of trade in for something that is 18 months old to try to entice us to purchase another LG replacement. So I am sorry that I had to provide even one star as a rating. This the worst dryer I have ever had! Wish I had never bought it. It started having problems immediately shutting off 5 minutes or less as soon as started with smaller and larger loads even with normal loads sometimes on every cycle except speed cycle which is the only cycle that you can adjust the time and temp on. I called LG and they conned me into thinking it was ok by doing some bogus test over the phone. The dry sensor is in the lint filter which is so narrow there is no way to clean it properly, it gets clogged easily so the sensor can’t tell if clothes are dry or wet and she told me that it was a problem anyway with larger or smaller loads, wtf? My sensor was not even dirty then. I have tried cleaning the filter case and it is impossible, it is too narrow to get my small hands in and too narrow for any of the numerous vacuum attachments I have tried. This is the worst design I have ever seen in my life!!!!I called for service finally with an extended plan with PC Richard and they were terrible.. Poop had gotten in the dryer and was in the filter case and he refused to remove the whole thing or even show me how to do it. He stuck a brush in and then turned it on and huge amounts of stuff went into the exit pipe, but it is still full of gunk and lint. He was not able to clean it properly with a brush either or just couldn’t be bothered.I wish I had returned immediately and bought a Speed Queen which will be my next dryer. I will never buy an LG product ever again and I may not purchase at PC Richard again either. Neither is helping at all yet with this situation. LG offered to send their own tech out after I demanded to speak with a supervisor, but she said I would be charged if they determined it was not a mechanical, etc. issue. Well, guess what, it IS a mechanical issue because of your crappy design. This is a terrible design flaw and the company does not stand behind their product and now apparently neither does PC Richard who we have purchased everything from for years.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFXS29766s and an LG double oven stove on 9/3/2016 after the salesperson raved about the quality and reliability of LG’s appliances. On the evening of 8/22/2019 the refrigerator failed (just shy of the 3 year mark). The freezer started to defrost and the ice makers stopped working. By the next morning the refrigerator had stopped cooling and food was found at room temperature. Everything was tossed. A claim was filed through Home Depot (where product was initially purchased with a 5 yr protection plan) and was then forwarded to LG. I was informed on Monday 8/26 by an LG manager that there is no local service department in my area and that service was scheduled through a subcontractor (A&E Service) with the soonest availability being 9/17/2019 (3 weeks out) and that they had no one else that would/could service the refrigerator. They said they could escalate to 9/9/2019 but that is the very best they could offer which is still 2 weeks. The LG manager I spoke to said they would reimburse me up to $200 if I bought a mini fridge to hold us over. I already have a mini fridge and it isn’t suitable unless I plan on feeding my family cereal for the next 2 weeks. We need a functioning refrigerator ASAP and if I go out and buy a new one I’ve basically just thrown away the $2,442.00 I spent on this one. Now we sit here, stuck with a faulty refrigerator, no food in the house and we’re expected to wait weeks for a resolution. This is not acceptable.

The Model No.GL-D372RLJM has a very serious design defect: it possesses an irreparable heater plate which is a crucial part of the defrosting system. Once this heater plate cracks, cooling of the lower section of the fridge stops and the whole fridge must be trashed. Our fridge developed this problem when it was only 5 years old. After a lengthy wait, LG made an exchange offer, in which the worth of this fridge was deemed just 15% of the original purchase price. A fridge having a life span of 5 years is ridiculous. Equally insane is the policy of making the customer pay for LG’s own design defect.

LG refused to honor the 10 year warranty neither reimburse for the lost food. Never, EVER, buy any LG appliance or you will regret for sure!

Bought my LG French Door 11/11/15. Work well. In April 2017 right door start giving problem, not closing. Try calling LG they are the Philippines, no result. All I got is you are out of warranty, I do understand but we do buy appliance every year. This is not right. They make mass production, lots of mistake and cant stand by their product. I was told you have to send receipt to show proof of purchase, then one agent set up a appointment and cancel without letting me took a day off for this. Food going bad, losing energy. LG you should stand by your product.

Its hardly used as compared to my 2 other refrigerators which are manufactured by Amana & Whirlpool, 10 & 18 years old and working without any problems. I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Not wanting to put money into repairs, I foolishly elected to purchase a new and improved LG washer. What kind of fool am I?

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

I am very satisfied overall with my washing machine features and performance. The only thing that I would like to change is the seal and all around the crevices has to be wiped dry after every load otherwise it starts to smell moldy and so do the clothes afterwards, so then I have to clean and deodorize the machine every so often.

I purchased LG wash machine model WT-1501CW in 2016. The wash plate started to pop up. When I removed it, I noticed the groves were plastic and the agitator was metal which caused it to wear down. I ordered the part online for $60. When I tried to replace it, the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft so it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I called LG and they referred me to an LG authorized repair company. The repair company come out and CONFIRMED that the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft and there is no way to repair. The appliance repair company and I have both reached out to LG several times. We are both receiving the run around. This is clearly a factory defect. I am going on three weeks without any assistance from LG on how they will rectify THEIR faulty machine.

I wished that I could have read this blog before I purchased my LG refrigerator. I purchased my refrigerator 4 years ago and have had the fuse blown twice, ruining all the contents of my refrigerator. The servicemans fix was using a paperclip to bypass the fuse and order me a new board, which would cost $400 (if I didnt have warranty). He explained that on this refrigerator, the fuse was located on the main circuit board and when the little fuse blows, you have to replace the whole board, which costs around $400.00, and it takes awhile to obtain. Two years almost to that day, my refrigerator went out again due to the same issue. I had extended warranty through Home Depot. It took a week to get a serviceman to my home, to hear that the main fix is to by-pass the fuse with a paperclip or some wire. I was told that LG is aware of the poor design and hasnt made any changes to keep this problem from occurring again. I lost another refrigerator full of food and some expensive medications to hear the paper clip is the answer again! I told the service repair that I wanted a new board ordered and placed on the back of this expensive refrigerator to hear him say that it is a temporary fix. LG has an issue with their product, people have contacted them, and they seem not to care. I contacted via Live Chat to hear, I am sorry for your inconvenience and had enough of that pre-typed message and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor said that there was nothing they could do but would pass my complaint on to a claims review dept. and that they may or may not contact me to help resolve the issue. I asked for a phone number to contact LG and was told by John (the supervisor) that he did not have a number for me to talk with someone about my issue. This was all that I needed to hear from someone online. It seems that LG hides behind their Live Chat personnel and are not interested in addressing their issues. Home Depot should be embarrassed to carry their products. We teach our children to make their wrongs right. I guess LG missed out on that lesson!

I purchased an LG kitchen suite from Costco because of the ratings and reputation of both companies. After less than 2 years we started having issues with the food not being cold. We ran all diagnostics and it said nothing was wrong. Now, a little over 3 years later, the freezer and fridge do not work. The repairman gave us a quote that was higher than the price of a new fridge, which I can’t afford. I just don’t understand how the compressor died so quickly. And according to the repairman, the unit will never be the same even after repairing this part. With all the issues with COVID-19, the loss of all the food is difficult since it’s hit or miss if I’ll be able to get the stuff I need for my family of 6. What am I supposed to do now?!?!

On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric rang
On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric range from Home Depot. On 7/2009, my husband instructed my oldest son to turn on the stove in preparation of us being 5 minutes away. He placed a pot on the stove on the largest eye and set the stove for 3.5 with a little grease inside the pan. My son said that as soon as he did what was instructed and sat down on the couch when he noticed immediate smoke coming from the pot. He looked inside the pan and noticed a ring of fire inside the pan that began to escalate fairly quickly and evacuated himself and my youngest daughter out of the home for their protection. Within five minutes of giving him these instructions we received a call back from him stating that the kitchen was on fire. Fire department came but the fire self-extinguished itself before they were able to take action. The fire caused 8k worth of damage with us paying a 1K deductible. It damaged the cabinets above the stove, the microwave above the stone, and the stove itself which sustained the most damage. The pot was actually not destroyed, but the stove was. The insurance company had no clue how this escalated so quickly so therefore the pot had masked the true natural cause of the fire which was the stove itself. The stove was replaced with the exact same model stove in 2009 and in 4/2014, while I was cooking on the largest eye once again with a cast iron skillet, the bottom of the skillet began to smoke from underneath set with a temperature of 3.5. I noticed the extreme heat coming from the largest eye and attempted to turn it off with no response from the stove to reduce the heat even though the stove read H5 which means a warm status. The heat was so extreme that the other eyes started to read as H5 and they werent even on. The extreme heat from the largest eye also prompted the microwave vent to come on by itself. My kids and myself started to get nervous and tried to power down the stove by turning off the circuit breaker with no response so we had to unplug the stove from the wall. We waited about 5 minutes and attempted to replug the stove and the largest eye came on immediately, flashing red several times, sending out extreme heat so we decided to keep it unplugged. I called LG the next day to find out that a recall was issued in 2012 for my model number. I was completely taken back. The recall stated The burners on the electric ranges can fail to turn off after being switched off or the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly during use, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. What else do you need? I asked why I was not notified and they said it was on TV and because I did not register the product, I didnt get notified by mail. Im a working professional mom of three, really! I cant believe they said that. They offered to repair the stove I currently have in my home and offered apologies for the fire in 2009. Is there no recourse or responsibility of the manufacturer for damages that occurred to homeowners before the recall. How can this be right. LG is claiming statute of limitations is 3 years but what about the fact that a recall was not issued until 2012. How was my insurance supposed to know that their product was defective when there was no recall in place. How is the consumer supposed to be protected in a case like this. Im not asking for the 8k that my insurance paid out but at least take responsibility for the deductible I had to pay for your fire hazardous product I placed in my home that nearly killed my kids. How can the statute of limitations be set for 3 years when the defect is not found until the recall is issued? PS: I have documentation of everything.

We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Life has not been good with LG.

Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it
Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it failed to function after the recall software fix caused the machine to continuously give the uE, unbalanced error code. LG is trying to turn this issue into a warranty issue, rather than accepting responsibility for their failed software fix. Additionally, we were bombarded with extended warranty offers from LG between the time of the recall in December 2012 and the time we finally received our recall notice in early September 2013. We dont think this was a coincidence.Kudos to Barbara, Dave and Andrea at Mansfield, OH Best Buy. Best Buy refunded our original purchase price, pro-rated a refund of our unused extended warranty and gave us a discount on any new washer of our choice. We replaced the machine with a Samsung front loader since we know how to avoid the odor problems caused by using too much detergent and fabric softener in front loaders. My wife was adamant that we not purchase another LG product.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, BUY LG!! We purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator in July 2014. Model #LFXS30766S/02. In June of 2017, the fridge stopped working, circuit board was replaced. Worked until August of 2018, repairman just left, after diagnosing that it has a sealed system failure and it would cost $1200.00-$1500.00 to fix. This fridge, mind you, cost $2300.00!! We have lost all the food in it and are presently living out of a cooler and a small dorm-type fridge to tide us over. I wish that I had done more research before we bought this lemon! We named it Voldemort, because its evil! Do yourself a favor-do not buy anything LG! Evidently, they dont care about their customers or making a good product. Life is Good?? Not if you have the misfortune to own an LG product-especially a fridge!!

Overall this is a great washing machine and works as expected. I purchased this washer 12/16. The plastic housing has developed cracks on the inside where the wash drum is, more of a structural thing and not mechanical. Contacted LG and they stated only the Direct Drive Motor was under any warranty, 10 yr warranty. I explained that if the washer housing was falling apart around the drive motor what use would the motor be. They offered a one time warranty that would have to be reviewed by their underwriters. I received a call several days later stating it would not be replaced. Just want to let others know to look for these cracks/flaws after a few years of use. Weak plastic housing and poor quality control. I will not be replacing or purchasing any LG products in the future.

We purchased this front load washer September 11, 2018. Weve been trying to get our washer fixed since Feb 1st 2019. LG tech came to our house, identified parts that were required. Said he would order them for overnight delivery and be back on Monday to install. Parts didnt arrive and we had to call repeatedly. He called finally to say the parts were on back order. Nothing happened so we began contacting LG customer service. We were told parts were ordered incorrectly then were told they were on back order and there was no delivery date. After numerous calls to LG customer service the parts showed up with overnight delivery. Same Tech shows up, installs parts (major parts like stator and main control board). Washer still doesnt work. Weve talked to 2 supervisors and cant get a tech back to his. Then the fun began! We have only been able to wash 2 towels at a time for months. LG Tech blamed us wash loads are too small. Youre causing this problem. Always wash 6 towels at a time. Of course it still didnt work. Then they offered a $50.00 voucher to go to the laundromat??? Weve taken several days off work and LG solution is a voucher to the laundromat. Next time the LG tech came to our house. He said I was obviously using too much soap. He recommended tub clean cycle at least 4 times and using vinegar in two of those cycles. LG tech promised to return on Monday. Of course that didnt happen. LG customer service told us this is our fault and we have neglected taking care of our machine. Bottom line they will not honor the warranty. LG front load washer in my opinion are bad but LG customer service is horrible.

LG Frontloader Washing Machine WM4270H has a cycle that intermittently open
LG Frontloader Washing Machine WM4270H has a cycle that intermittently opens and closes the water valve that causes severe water hammer in the plumbing system. This is very bad for your plumbing and will cause damage. There is not a complete solution for this. Options to avoid the water hammer are: install a water hammer arrestor or use rubber hoses. Neither one of those options worked for me and LG was unable to find a solution. Do not buy the LG frontloader until they acknowledge and fix the problem with the water valve.

He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the “Duct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)” that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the “Smart Diagnostic” over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

So far our LG washing machine has lasted us 11 years. The first 6 years we were washing clothes for 6 people, then for 4 people the last 5. We have only had a few issues during this time. I hope it lasts for at least 4 more years.

My refrigerator is less than 4 year old and has stopped cooling. It is either a loss of coolant or a failed compressor, both of which are still in warranty. They scheduled a tech to investigate the problem the following day. This appointment was canceled by LGs automated system after the scheduled time for the visit with a statement that they would schedule something within 3 to 5 business days. I called LG to express my pleasure at the level of their customer service and was told that the repair will probably take somewhere between 5 and 7 days IF the parts are available. In the meantime, I am without a refrigerator.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid! We purchased a LG French Door refrigerator/freezer 28 cu ft (Model LFXS2926W/01) in April 2016. In late May of 2018 both lower and upper linear compressors failed along with the evaporators along with complete loss of refrigerant. Service rep came by in early June to identify the problem. Two weeks later the parts were delivered and they are back for the three hour repair. Three weeks from day of failure to day of repair. The service rep tell me that this appears to be a consistent problem with most if not all LG French door units. So $660.00 (labor and service call costs) later I hope to have it resolved. They have already warned me (because I asked) that this compressor/evaporator replacement will work properly for the next 2-3 years, before a predicted failure will occur again on the same components. The ten year warranty covers the compressor and a seven year warranty covers the evaporator. I asked their opinion on why such a generous warranty program given the predicted failure rate. The statement was the product (refrigerators internal cooling components) is over engineered and it is probably cheaper in the long run to provide the warranty than it is to have to submit to a product recall or redesign of the failed parts. I have purchased my last LG product of any kind and I am sharing our experience with everyone I can.

If only I had checked for reviews prior to my purchase. I moved to Georgia from California a little over a year ago and was so excited about getting a new washer/dryer. I went to Home Depot (its a small town, so the store selection is limited) and found what I thought was a really nice washer/dryer combo from LG. I couldnt have been more disappointed. The washer takes FOREVER - mostly because it continually rebalances the load - all to no avail. After multiple attempts the washer gives up and chimes to tell me to come and rebalance it. Now - Ive had washers before (all with agitators, which this one doesnt have) and one - sometimes two - rebalances corrects the problem... NOT with the LG - sometimes I have to rebalance 6 or 8 times in order for the load to complete the cycle. Then I have to repeat the process with the next spin. It doesnt just happen with odd weight loads or odd sized - its nearly everything. I HATE THIS WASHER. DONT BUY ONE!!!

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. I am left with either cutting my losses or having someone come from over 60 miles away try to come and service. Be aware. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.

We purchase this Kenmore Elite 29002 top loading washing machine in 2012. After about 4 loads of normal, not grimy laundry, it began smelling very musty. (*We are very eat clean folks...no children in the house, etc). Called Sears, they sent out repair person twice; they looked at the drain mechanism, messed with the computerized controls and made all cycles longer; suggested we clean the washer every week with purchased $$ tablets.. So now the machine that was to save money by saving water (High efficiency)... Would now cost out to $ $15/month for cleaning tablets!! They should take it back and replace it with a better model!

I have a direct drive washer and we have had it for about 2 years now. What a difference with the true balance and no belts. Washing sheets and towels, there is no unbalanced vibration and no belts slipping or wearing. Now we need to see how long it lasts, currently there are no issues and no repairs. I would recommend the LG and when the dryer goes, we will be looking at an LG product.

We purchased our LG front loading washing machine in November of 2006. Within a few months, we also started having the clothes smelling badly, especially dark colored clothing. One week ago, the washer stopped spinning. We replaced the part. This week, the washer wont even turn on. I called the company for the second time. They chose to offer me a phone number of the closest repairperson (like I cant find that myself). I asked to file a complaint. As of today, I have had no one email or call me back. I emailed the company. Still, I heard nothing. These appliances are very expensive and should be lasting a lot longer than 5 years. The last washing machine we had was an inexpensive top loader that we purchased in 1983, and lasted until 2006. This is ridiculous! We also purchased an LG flat screen TV a couple of years ago. I had to replace a part in it already. Its definitely not a good life for anyone, but Lifes Good for the company!

I purchased new LG fridge Feb 2018. The ice maker quit 3 months later in late May. I have been calling LG as the ice maker is still under the warranty. LG has scheduled 2 different repair shops and I took a day off from work each time. Each time no repairman showed up. When I called the repair shop they simply said We do not work for free. LG does not pay us. Well Im confused now and Im still calling LG to find a repairman to fix my ice maker - it is now October 11, 2018... This was not a cheap fridge...

Have this machine x five years. Every year I have to do some type of repair. It has a 10 year warranty but nothing is ever covered by the warranty. This is the biggest fraud in the appliance business. I called LG to repair my machine that is neither washing nor drying, they sent a technician the cost was $300 down payment, never heard from them again. I called again the price was $411, which will cover one year repair minus $100 for coming out... This they insisted must be paid via credit card before they can come. They sent a tech out that was almost 4 weeks ago, no one has returned. I called only to get the runaround. No one will take responsibility. I cannot get any answer, cant get my money back and my machine is still not fixed. Company number (!) is High End Appliance $300. Company (2) General Appliance.LG is a rip-off company they do not stand by they appliance, they are dishonest, they do not honor their warranty, they do not satisfy their customers needs. They need to be shut down and be labeled thieves. 1800 243 0000 and 888 376 6825 and 201 623 8070 these are the contact numbers that have no information in regards to service. High End Appliance **.

Supervisor at LG services Leon is the worst and careless person that I ever dealt with. After sending the damaged door and closing the case, knowing that my warranty would be done after few days and on purpose delaying time, was asking me for the receipt, though they have all info about refrigerator. Another way to get rid of another unhappy customer left me no choice but pay for the service... But when installation cost more than a part itself I decided to buy just new different brand refrigerator and not give them a chance to screw me up again... Part of the door came damaged first time. Who knows what happens next time...That is disappointment that LG American brand does such a bad job and have thousands unhappy customers. No matter when they made if you put your name on Brand have Pride and make quality product, but obviously LG supervisor and all other bosses does not care... Not one review was answered or tried to help customer with low quality LG merchandise. Lesson learned. In the future LG brand will never be in my house and Ill try to spread word to prevent people from making mistake by buying LG.

LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

I´ve had to pay three times to have a repairman come out to fix this machine. Today, when my kitchen table water was dripping on me. Turns out it was water coming from the back of my dryer. It had been taking hours to dry my clothes but I´ve been trying to get by without having to pay a repairman AGAIN or replace the damn thing but come to find out it has been leaking water causing more damage. This has been the biggest money pit, I will never buy another LG product.

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.
