I have had this washer for about a year and it has annoyed me since I first used it. I started getting the ue error within the first week of use. I went back and read the owners manual to learn how to load this machine. I started being extremely careful in the way I load it and I would only receive the error occasionally (cant wash a mixed of heavy and light weight items-really? I dont know anyone who doesnt wash their hand towels with their bath towels), but now I receive it with every load I run. My husband washed three loads of laundry this past weekend and he also received the ue error. He said it is a piece of junk! I paid a lot of money for this machine and I am ready to throw it out the window! I am done purchasing LG products. On a side note. I am 54, not tall by any means, but I have always been able to reach the bottom of the tub in a washer. I literally have to stand on a stool to remove all of the clothes from this machine. Bad design.

I requested for LG to come and fix my refrigerator since the 15th of June. It is over 2 weeks and I am still waiting for an answer. I would advise that no one should ever buy any appliance from LG. Their customer service is terrible. I do not wish for anyone to live for one month without a refrigerator. Now they are telling me that I will hear back in 20 more days. I wish they go out of business for good for lying to customers...

After spending $3,500 - before tax - on LG French door with beverage fridge and bottom freezer, 14 months later, the compression is shot. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty. But, repairman cannot get replacement compressor for at least 19 days; thats just to get the part into US. So, repairman made recommendation that a new fridge be sent to us. LG though, refuses to talk with us about if approved, when will be delivered, etc. LG says “Talk to the repairman,” and he says he doesnt know anything until 3-5 business days - until LG makes determination.Meanwhile, I have to try and feed 6 year old, 90 year old, and two adults, without a working refrigerator. More salt in the wound? Consumer Reports ranked this particular LG frig model as 2nd highest. I even researched and still got clobbered. Repair person who contracts with Sears said Samsung and LG are bad makes, regardless of what model. He recommended Whirlpool. Live and learn.

I bought an LG gas stove a year ago and a microwave as well. What a piece of junk the stove is! It does not heat up fast. It takes 20 min to come to 350 and it does not even heat up right. I am always burning food which never happened unless it was my fault. It has 2 temps burnt or raw! I do use it a lot but that is no excuse. The blue interior has a haze on it I cant get rid of, I have tried everything under the sun. If there was a way to get my money back or fixed the interior I would but Google is no help. Now the microwave, it went out 6 months ago I called them it took another 3 months for them to get someone to come out and we live in Northern VA not a rural area then another 3 months to get someone out to fix it. We hardly ever use it (the microwave) and to have the control board go out at 6 months is crazy. I got the extended and its acting up again! I dont think I can ever buy an LG product again. If I had the money I would junk the stove and get something else. But I dont. I somehow doubt LG even cares. Neither one was cheap.

I purchased the LG HE top loader (machine # WT 4801CW) in December 2011. It has never effectively cleaned a single load of clothes. Shirts come out of the wash still smelling of perfume/cologne; sheets come out with large dry spots where they never got wet. Washing in cold or hot water does not matter, nor does setting the washer on the highest level for soil and the extra high level of spin speed. I do not use a clothes dryer, so I use fabric softener but the clothes are so wrinkled even if I remove them the instant the cycle stops that every single item would need to be ironed. Even when washing very small loads (one pair jeans, 2 shirts, 2 pairs socks) there are dry spots on the clothes until the final rinse cycle, so they are obviously not getting clean. This machine will not remove any stain at all, no matter how minor. It also takes over 60 minutes to wash one load and has increased the number of loads I do a week despite having a much larger capacity than my previous washer. Luckily, when we bought it at Best Buy, they provided a 30-day return policy. My new washer will arrive this weekend. Im back to a front load Frigidaire, which is what I had before. I never had a single complaint about that machine. It lasted 18 years and never had a single service call, cleaned every single thing we ever put in it, and was very inexpensive to operate as well as having a much more reasonable price than anything else we saw on the market.

I opened up our refrigerator door one morning and the interior had a burnt smell and the contents of the refrigerator were not cool anymore. My husband removed the plastic covering and the light bulbs. The light bulbs were extremely hot to touch. The white plastic casing above the lights bulbs were dark brown. I called LG the same morning and they will replace the burnt unit and cover the repair cost. There will be no charge to myself.

I purchased an LG front load washer and dryer from Leons in Bancroft Ontario 5 years and 8 months ago. Shortly after we bought it, we noticed that our laundry was coming out with a sewage smell on it. We used the tub clean cycle as often as possible but it didnt really help. We also started to leave the door open which helped somewhat but the odor never really went away. On one occasion, I found that the machine had dumped suds on the floor. Last week I washed a load of towels and during the cycle, smoke started coming out of the drum area. I called Leons in Bancroft who referred me to a local service man as the machine was out of warranty. The service man said he would look a the machine but if it needed parts he couldnt help me as LG would not supply him with parts or tech support.I emailed LG who replied that they only supply parts to authorized service agencies. The one for my area was 60 kilometers away. LG stated that they would do a 1 time courtesy repair. I asked if they would also address the sewage stink issue as well. I was advised to add powdered detergent to the washer and cycle it to remove residue. I was also advised to mix up a solution of bleach and water and wipe down the gasket and dry it after each use! I also asked about what would happen the next time the machine started to smoke. I imagine that I would have to call the service agent who is 60 kilometers away and pay time and mileage as well as the service time. As far as I am concerned, where theres smoke theres fire and I dont trust this faulty machine to be in my house. It is now in my back yard and I purchased a top loading machine (not LG). I will not be buying any of their products in the future.

As I sit here writing this, there is a repairman here trying fix my LG refrigerator--and telling me that I need yet another new compressor! I replaced the compressor last September and now another one has gone out! My refrigerator is only 5 years old. This is ridiculous and outrageously expensive. My understanding from multiple sources is that LG is aware of issues with a weld in their compressors--and probably other things--especially in certain models. If it were a car, there would be a recall so that the company could make it right. LG is certainly not trying to take care of their customers/products. BUYERS BEWARE!!

I brought a LG refrigerator in 2018. It stopped cooling after 8 months. It took LG 5 months and 4 attempts to repair before they decide it could not be repaired. So they replace it with another new refrigerator in Dec, 2020. Now here we are 13 months later Feb. 13 2021. The replacement stop cooling. They schedule an appt for Feb. 23, 10 days out and they are going to have to try at least 3 times to repair it before they can replace it. DONT BUY LG REFRIGERATORS. THEY ARE JUNK. LG need to stop working on the technology and work on the quality of their products. What the need of a smart refrigerator that dont know how to keep cooling which is the main object of a refrigerator.

My LG LRE3083ST Electric Range worked flawlessly for the first year. Then the controls quit functioning properly. It was intermittent at first. Sometimes I had to reset the circuit breaker to turn off the oven. Then the stove top controls failed. I could turn on only the rear burners. I contacted LG customer service thru their website. The reporting process was cumbersome, but LG agreed to send a repairman out to fix it. The repair seemed to be good. The oven and stovetop both worked. That was 6 weeks ago. This past weekend the stove top controls failed again. Today I contacted LG. This time by phone. The customer service person was friendly, but after conferring with others there, she politely told me that any future repairs would be on me. I have been an LG television and appliance owner for over 10 years. I have never had an LG appliance fail so miserably. This problem is likely a quality control problem, but LG does not acknowledge that. The control boards that the repairman installed in January failed before the end of February. The boards must be defective. My respect for LG just took a big hit. I will no longer recommend the products and will consider other alternatives when I replace my 15-month-old range. I will not pay to repair it because it will probably fail again.

Our new LG fridge failed within the first 48 hours. The LG help line scheduled a service technician 5 days later. The technician could not repair the fridge as two of the main circuit boards had failed. The service technician could not get help for the LG technical help line. The technician could not even order the required parts. I called the help line and they said they would look into the problem and call me back. They did not call back, I called again and they said they would call back but again no one called back. The third day and the third call to LG this time they hung up the phone on me. Wow the service is horrible at this company. At this rate I have no idea if I will have a working fridge within the next couple weeks. A word of advice. Do not buy anything from this company.

Our LG French Door fridge/freezer was fine for 6 years, then suddenly quit cooling in both the fridge and freezer compartments. After 3 service visits over 3 months, it is limping along. The first visit replaced the compressor, the second two fixed leaks. We bought a back-up fridge after the first episode of thawed or spoiled food. According to the technician, the linear compressor does not perform well when the exhaust is in a confined space. Model # LFX31925ST / 03.

I have had 2 service calls and still not fixed. The 1st service was replacing the sensor, 2nd was motherboard and next appt. will be all circuits/fuses on top of the washer which needs replaced from a continuous leak for long time that has caused rust and the serviceman was shocked when touched the unit. I have missed work for each visit, which thought would take care of the problem and be able to use the washer, month plus later.. Im still waiting for this unit to be fixed. LG is a name brand and it should be out of service this long without getting the washer replaced. I can understand if it were couple years old but this unit is barely over a year old. With all these problems this washer was a lemon from the get go and has never worked properly. When I purchased my first BRAND new washer, I did research and bought top of the line or so I thought I did. This has been huge disappointment and LG service center has been disappointment as well. This should have been replaced with a new one. As a single mother and live from pay to pay, this was a big purchase for me. I have 2 kids and laundry mat is the last place I wish to be spending my time and money considered my washer purchase was over 600 and only year old!!! Time and money and loss work time is VERY FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING! I wish to buy the matching dryer but now Im considering different brand! LG make this right or I spread the word all over the internet media. VERY POOR RATING!!!UPDATE... 2 months later still broke. Will not replace or respond to my 20+ emails to resolutions@lge.com; lg.care@lge.com and website chat was absolutely worthless conversation and would not help me at all! Basically they are live chat with no phone or contact w/lg outside of chat room. So, not sure of their purpose??? ANYWAYS... LG does not care about the consumer. They will not reply! SMH!

LG LDF6920ST Dishwasher - I bought this dishwasher in the spring of 2011 and in August 2014 the dishwasher will need to be replaced. This dishwasher was not abused and is in a 2 person household. Initially I smelled an awful smell of burnt electrical coming from the dishwasher and now it wont stay on. Im afraid it will catch the house on fire. An LG registered service person cost $89.00 for the service call and $150.00 per hour not including parts. I read online about other owners of this model dishwasher having to repeatedly change the motor and the water pump. I am going to replace this dishwasher after only 3 years use. I wont be buying another LG product anytime soon.

Someone just kept repeating with a foreign accent, Only the drum (stainless will be around forever) and the motor are covered. My model had mold and mildew problems from the beginning. Now we both have nice dryers and will have mismatched washers. Beware! Bearings are not covered and you will have a flood, no washer, mismatched appliances, ruined flooring. Light inside on top of fridge so hot it warped entire light casing & recently burnt a hole in the plastic cap on an almond milk container kept on the top shelf! - (the light is being repaired by LG in 2 days because they lost a class action suit for knowledgeably selling defective refrigerators that could cause fire.) a recall that we (as a registered purchaser) were not notified about by LG.

We purchased the LG1443KDS at the end of 2011. The machine vibrated so badly it would travel the length of the utility floor and destroyed the large rubber drum seal. The repair technician advised the retailer to replace the machine, that was subsequently done. The replacement washing machine has displayed the same characteristics on a number of occasions other than destroying the drum seal. The noise from this appliance is on a par to pneumatic drill being used indoors, and could quite easily injure a small child or animal when the violent motions take place, lifting it clear of where it is situated. We also contacted LG directly regarding our concerns, but were merely brushed off. Absolutely no interest in their customers or appliance aftercare. This washing machine was extremely expensive, but is the worst appliance we have ever owned. This is the first ever LG appliance and is DEFINITELY our last. Purchase junk from this manufacturer at your peril.

Loved the look of this range but told salesman I wanted self clean. He said look it has Easy Clean. Not the same I found out 2 months later. Also my service book states I get grill pan for top of stove and small cleaning kit which I found out months later and was told not for my model... But the worst is my oven is chipping enamel - golf ball size chip. Also told not under warranty. This is a defect not warranty problem. So now it’s my problem to replace this part on bottom of oven. Is about $180.00 and grill pan is about 60.00 plus cleaning kit about $10.00 so I need to spend about 250.00 to get my range back to new. Remember this range is only 18 months old... My husband wanted a GE but I like how this looked. We purchased our LG front loading washing machine in November of 2006. Within a few months, we also started having the clothes smelling badly, especially dark colored clothing. One week ago, the washer stopped spinning. We replaced the part. This week, the washer wont even turn on. I called the company for the second time. They chose to offer me a phone number of the closest repairperson (like I cant find that myself). I asked to file a complaint. As of today, I have had no one email or call me back. I emailed the company. Still, I heard nothing. These appliances are very expensive and should be lasting a lot longer than 5 years. The last washing machine we had was an inexpensive top loader that we purchased in 1983, and lasted until 2006. This is ridiculous! We also purchased an LG flat screen TV a couple of years ago. I had to replace a part in it already. Its definitely not a good life for anyone, but Lifes Good for the company!

Within 45 days of purchasing our brand new LG front loading washing machine, it began to leak water all over my floor. A few repair people came out and told me that the machine was over-sudsing and to use less detergent. They advised no more than a tablespoon of detergent - the machine still over-suds and drains out onto the floor. I have made several phone calls to LG and had several repair people out and they keep telling me the same thing - use less soap. There is no point in washing clothes and towels if you can only use 1 teaspoon of soap, the laundry does not smell good. I had a Whirlpool Duet, front loader, for 10 years and it NEVER leaked. Same laundry, water, soap, location, etc., the only thing that changed was the HUGE MISTAKE OF NOT BUYING ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL!

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.

Bought this expensive $2500 LG fridge from Costco June 2018, we were remodeling our kitchen. After 6 months the ice maker defrosted and started leaking and unable to dispense ice. The repairman changed the ice dispenser motor and seemed to work ok. Then after another 3 months or so, the freezer and refrigerator stopped working, defrosting all of our food. We lived on ice coolers and no cooking. When the repairman came, he unplugged the ref, and it started working again. After another month, same thing happened, defrosted all of our food again, lived on ice coolers for 4 days till repairman came and says it might be the control board acting up? He will order the part but we have to wait another 3 days or so. We are waiting for the part he ordered Thursday and will come Wednesday, long wait for a very frustrating expensive ref? I recommend “Don’t buy this fridge!“ Not worth the headaches. I live in Vegas. Very hot here, no fridge life is not easy! Very frustrating, unhappy with poor customer service. LG does not even expedite repairs? Unacceptable... We bought a lemon? Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone...

Purchased this washer (WT1101CW) January 2014. Its been two years of rebalancing accompanied with numerous draining and refills as this machine struggles to complete a load. Have had a technician visit us three times and he made sure the machine is level, has a new board with updated firmware and still we have problems. Even more telling is the fact that a tub clean cycle (water only) cannot finish without the machine stopping to display UE. Ive given up. For a quick wash our neighbors have let us use their washing machine. In the meantime my solution is unfortunately to move to a different brand of washing machine.

We purchased our LG washer the summer of 2014. The washer worked great until we started noticing rust forming around the bleach dispenser. Now, every time I wash sheets or blankets they come out with rust stains! Subsequent washing does not remove the rust, therefore it is ruined. We have only had this washer for 6 years and considering that we have an Amana dryer that still works after almost 13 years (and was much cheaper btw) does not speak well to the quality issue with the LG washer.

I got my new French door LG Refrigerator, Model #LFX31925ST/100, in October of 2011, for $2354.90. The ice maker has been replaced at least twice and currently they say the one installed in August needs to be replaced again, it quit in Dec. I have had at least 6 service calls. Not counting the times they couldnt get here and had me pulling the fridge out from wall & unplugging it for several hours and plugging it back in, to eliminate loud knocking noises. This week we finally figured out that even though 8/23/15 they replaced fan grill assembly in the back of deep freeze (new one has some sort of defroster in it) we still have no ice. Last summer the water spout on door stuck in on position and nothing we did would shut it off. It flooded our kitchen before we could get the water shut off. I have thrown out so much food during the past two yrs, it is insane. Finally went and bought thermometer and learned that even though door panel shows refrig. set at 33 temp is 46-48. Freezer varies. Now I have learned it is currently part of a Class Action Law Suit and Im not alone. Im done in and crying Uncle...

We purchased LFC25760SB Refrigerators in July 2007. It has been working just fine until recently. We noticed the lights were out on the Refrigerator section and when I removed the cover to see what size and shape they were, the light bulbs were very hot. Once they cool down, I checked the switches and they were NOT turning the lights off when the doors were closed. I noticed that there has been a problem with these models of refrigerators and was wondering if there is a fix yet offer by LG. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Bought an LG french door, lasted all about a year, just stopped cooling. 6 repair attempts were made, none worked, so after months of not having a working refrigerator, LG refunded our money. Well I went to Sears, bought a Kenmore. Well it is made by LG, but hoping to Kenmore standards. Now less than 3 years later, this one has also failed. LG may make good TVs and washing machines. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

Purchased LG washer/dryer set 18 months ago and it has to be the worst ever!! Washer: clothes come out partially dry, with new spots that it didnt have going in, lint from some unknown origin, still soiled. Steam dryer: turns off after 2 minutes and clothes still wet so we have to use timed drying. And dont use steam function because clothes come out soaked, yes, from the d-r-y-e-r. We thought we were getting the top of the line water efficient appliance and ended up getting nothing but frustration. Nothing efficient when you have to wash everything on bulky/heavy soil just to get it somewhat clean and then to add the need to wash several times to get them clean only adds insult to injury. Never again will I purchase another LG washer/dryer and wondering why they are not being held accountable for such a lousy product!!!

Our LG refrigerator broke and contacted LG directly for repair since it is under the 5 year warranty. They sent a repair on 3 different occasions and they never were able to fix it. The issue is the compressor. I have thrown away my food several times and cannot cook since we do not have a refrigerator. It has been nearly 1 month now and LG has not resolved our issue. Our patience has run out and need to report LG. Today we received an email from Jennifer ** (Presidential Escalations Coordinator) and Abi ** (President Liaison) stating that they will buy back the refrigerator for way less than what we paid for the refrigerator. This is unacceptable! Do not buy any LG Appliance. Horrible company and extremely poor customer service. We just got off the phone with an LG agent who could care less and very unprofessional.

The refrigerator is a nice design, works well, and is a known brand. The fridge is basic but it works like it is a higher end model. I have had it for several years and have had no problems so far. I have a standard refrigerator. I would like it to be higher-end with an ice maker, more storage options, more freezer space etc. If it were a smart fridge that would be an improvement too. But it met my expectations. When I went to purchase the fridge, it was the best deal for what I got compared to other brands. It was also recommended by the salesperson.

I have a front-load washer that has made me and my family very sick. Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous). The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

In late June 2012, we got an LG/Kenmore french door refrigerator. On 9-6-12, the error code FF appeared on the display. After calling Sears, I was told the freezer fan needed to be replaced and it would take 7-10 days for the part to arrive at my house. In the meantime, the ice maker doesnt work. This was unacceptable and we decided to return the refrigerator rather than wait for a part on a less than three-month-old appliance. After checking online, it appears that other people are having the same error code with LG and Samsung refrigerators. Consumer Reports rates them high, but I will not be buying another LG or Samsung.

I purchased the Wt1101cw washer almost two years ago. This could be a great machine if it didnt show UE-uneven-all the time. It takes forever to finish a wash! It doesnt matter if you are doing a small wash or a larger one. I feel that the agitator, located in the bottom of the drum is a poor design and thats why it is uneven. I have had that agitator replaced three weeks ago and now I am having the same symptoms. Repairman returning Monday. When you try to purchase the part it is out of stock-this tells me that I am the not the only one with the problem. There is even a You-Tube video showing how to repair it!! I spent a lot of money on this because of the LG name-they said it has to break four times before they will consider doing something. I have read multiple times in multiple places that people are saying the same things. I really think that this machine is defective. Thanks for listening!

I’m writing this review so that hopefully other consumers won’t make th
I’m writing this review so that hopefully other consumers won’t make the same mistake I made by buying this LG refrigerator. I bought this refrigerator on 5/6/13 at Famous Tate in Brandon, Fl, and paid $2545 for it—my very first “modern”, expensive fridge. This is Model # LF X 319455T/02 (stainless steel French Door). I’ve had nothing but trouble with it since the beginning, and after reading all these reviews, I can see that I am clearly not the only one.The food has gone bad periodically over the last 5 years, resulting in my having to throw stuff out quite often. I confess that I actually ate food that I probably shouldn’t have, and for someone with an autoimmune condition who MUST have fresh fruits and vegetables to survive, this is completely unacceptable. There had been water accumulating in the refrigerator for a long time, and a few months ago there was water all over the left hand side of the bottom shelf as well as all over the floor. I immediately called LG to discuss the problem, and rather than pay them in advance for one of their techs to come here, I paid a technician from Mr. Appliance to come here. He may not have been an authorized LG technician, but he was highly trained and extremely knowledgeable about these LG french door refrigerators. By the way, most repair technicians in my area refuse to even work on LG appliances. That should tell you something!!The guy (Ron) who came to my house determined that the automatic ice maker was causing the problem, and he literally showed me how this one defective part always malfunctions in these models. He further explained that eventually the compressor will probably go out. The replacement part has a heater built into it that supposedly will prevent this problem from occurring, but between parts and labor, it would cost me over $500. That day he enlightened me about a lot of things, and after doing extensive research, I found out that everything he told me that day was true. For instance, I found out that LG has known about this manufacturer’s defect for years, and yet continues to manufacture new models with the same defective part. Sounds very shady and evil to me. Nevertheless, I was going to agree to the repair whether Ron did it or LG (for a slight discount), but then decided against investing more money into this piece of crap.Instead, I bought new water and fresh air filters, and tried to remember to empty the ice container periodically. I should mention that I have NEVER personally used the water dispenser or the ice maker, but I thought it would be nice to have it for any guests who occasionally come over. That being said, for the last few months, the fridge seemed to work ok—not great, but ok. Then the last few weeks there was more water accumulating inside food containers. I just wiped them out, threw more rotten food out, and just put up with it. There’s also a strange discoloration on the touchscreen panel as well as a stainless steel finish looking like it’s peeling off. Clearly very cheaply made. It’s interesting that they charge a premium price for a cheaply made product. Don’t get me started on the faulty design which has its own set of problems. So, on Monday night (7/30/18) or technically Tuesday 12:30 am (8/31/18), the fridge started making an extremely loud noise. There was water everywhere and everything in the freezer had defrosted. I immediately called LG (they do answer the phone 24/7), and was instructed to turn off the breaker to the fridge. I did that, and at least that stopped the noise. I also dumped out the ice container in order to prevent matters getting worse. The representative told me that according to the schedule, a service tech. most likely would be able to come out Friday and for me to call back at 8:00 am to confirm. Obviously I’d have to pay $125 in advance plus pay the service tech for any additional labor. I explained to her that I now have to clean up the huge mess, try to salvage what food I can, and that I’m very ill, 80 lbs and need to be properly nourished to stay alive.I asked her how I’m expected to live without a refrigerator for 4-5 days and probably much longer after ordering parts and having the tech come back to complete the repair. She had absolutely no response for me. I did call back later that morning, paid $125, and scheduled the tech. to come to my house on Friday. Meanwhile I drove to the convenience store in the middle of the night, bought 4 bags of ice and went home to start the cleanup process. I worked all night long using the wet vac, taking everything out of the fridge and freezer, throwing lots of stuff away, and putting whatever food I thought worth saving into coolers with ice. I thoroughly dried the inside of the fridge and freezer, and then proceeded to clean and sterilize. Needless to say, I never slept having worked tirelessly throughout the night. Needless to say I was utterly exhausted.Due to the dire emergency I was in, I sent messages to 7 people on Craigslist and Next Door desperate to get a fridge delivered to me ASAP. The LG repair tech (Sonny) called me later that day and instructed me to turn the fridge back on, and said that he could come here on Saturday-not Friday. Fortunately, that horrible noise never came back on, so that at least was a relief. He proceeded to explain to me that from what I told him, it sounds like a very complex problem, and that his labor would be very intensive, and it could cost me over $1,000 between parts and labor regardless of the compressor being covered under the 10 year warranty. He honestly didn’t think it was worth fixing, and suggested I buy another fridge. We’ve talked several times in the last few days, and he has reiterated that I need to purchase another fridge ASAP. He clearly didn’t want to come here and told me to call LG and cancel the appt.I’ve also been on the phone with LG multiple times in the last 4 days for hours complaining about the situation to no avail. LG representatives in the Philippines are very nice, but there’s a huge communication problem, and it’s beyond frustrating trying to get my point across. I kept getting put on hold, transferred to various individuals, and no one seemed to understand a word I said. All of this massive stress compounded by 4 days of virtually no sleep has comprised my health even more. This entire ordeal has been an absolute nightmare, and I’m outraged that someone can very casually say “Oh well, just go buy another fridge” after I spent over $2500 on what I thought (confirmed by the sales guy) would be a state of the art refrigerator that would last for years. Boy did that turn out to be wrong. I agree with what the rest of you said about LG.I will NEVER buy another LG appliance, and advise everyone else to avoid this brand like the plague. Not surprisingly, I’ve found my brand new LG front loader to be quite frustrating. What a joke “LG Life’s Good”. Life is anything but good when you have an LG appliance. More like a nightmare. I deserve to be compensated for all the food I’ve lost and continue to lose as well as the toll this has taken on my health. Not to mention countless hours on the phone with LG and the hours it has taken me to write this complaint. The abhorrent way in which LG manufactures their products and provides service is nothing short of unconscionable, and I really hope we can all get appropriately compensated for what we’ve had to endure.

This refrigerator has been nothing but aggravation. We have had problems with the freezer fa, replaced several times. Ice forming inside the refrigerator left side, food freezing in the left crisper and continuous significant noise like a motor boat. This grinding subsides for a few days, then starts again. The latest problem caused the refrigerator to stop working completely. It has been almost three weeks and it is still not operational. Service is horrendous. Overnight parts do not arrive on time. Only one technician in the area. Parts needed are ordered one at a time, extending down time, rather than sent together to shorten repair time. The most frustrating issue is the difficulty of reaching anyone without being re-routed several times, then dropping the line after 45 minutes to one hour.

In-door features, online connectivity and support reminders lists, Alexa compatibility are features that I like about this refrigerator and the icemaker makes the most perfect ice cube in the most amazing shapes and sizes for the whole families choices. One of the main reasons I finally decided on an LG refrigerator was the sleek design inside and outside. It is purely beautiful in design and a very beautifully functioning machine. The pricing is the first major obstacle to ownership. The size of the refrigerator is another thought to consider for apartment dwellers. It is a large refrigerator but not overly cumbersome in design so it equals out.

I had addition done to my house, new kitchen, etc. in 2012. Bought all LG appliances including the refrigerator in July 2012. Many problems with it: Freezer either becomes too cold or does not freeze; thus, the water melts and the ice becomes a solid mass. The lower fridge area does not cool enough. The regulator is not working properly; thus, food goes bad every two days. Makes a lot of sound when the water is running through the pipe to the ice maker. Steel doors are not made of good steel. It already has small dents. When we open door and if even touches something mildly, leaves a dent. Tried calling the LG official site; there is no response. Very frustrated with the product/company. Bought a LG LFX25973ST French Door fridge 1/14 from Lowes. We went on a 2-week vacation last month and came home on a Thursday to a warm fridge/freezer. Dont know how long it had been off. It has a smart feature so I called LG and she ran me through the diagnostic, asked all the pertinent questions and since was out of warranty I could buy $275 package for fixing (parts/labor) the fridge with a 6-month warranty. She set up a repair appt for Tuesday, 5 days out. Very poor English, she was hard to understand. The guy came Tuesday and I knew I had a problem when he called the shop to ask what wires he needed to test. He was just the troubleshooter, could not fix the problem, a bad compressor. He had to go back to the shop and send LG the report, which he did, and we would hear from LG further instructions. Long story short 4 more days and no call from LG so we call them. We get major attitude. Very nasty woman tells us basically Youll just have to wait until can find a CERTIFIED tech. Day 11 we go to Lowes and buy a basic fridge for our garage. $400 thank you LG.Guy was great and looks up our original purchase of the broken fridge and says You bought an extended warranty. I know... dont laugh. So we canceled the LG contract (rate $100) and started working with Lowes. Much better service, English speaking CS people, $$ for lost food. Great, right? We get set up for a service call the next day. Ends up being a no call, no show. When we call them it ends up being the same business that LG sent out. We find out they cant fix a bad compressor. It must be a CERTIFIED tech. Closed system, dangerous gas, chance of fire. OMG.We live in Phoenix and there is just ONE certified tech in the whole metro area. They are 30 miles away and have a worse service record than LG. The customer reviews are horrible: poor work, no shows for service calls and rude employees. We are now on day 14 with a dead fridge in our kitchen. I always looked up reviews on performance of an appliance. Im now also now going to research repair and customer service. This is ridiculous that LG can hold a whole city hostage like this by not having more certified techs. I will add to this review as we progress, but Im not very optimistic. Im scared to death my other appliances, dishwasher, oven and microwave, never have a problem!

I purchased a side by side refrigerator in Feb of 2015. In December of 2018 the compressor had to be replaced. Now in July of 2019 the freezer is not cooling. We purchased the extended warranty thankfully but cannot get anyone to come out for over a week. Tell why a 4 year old Refrigerator needs constant repair. I am frustrated with LG products.

Now am getting OE error constantly ~ have done troubleshooting and there does not appear to be any blockage in drains. LG Front Load Washing Machine bought in 2013 - This washer gets a horrendous build up of thick black mold in the rubber seal and makes the inside of the washer smell like mold and mildew. The seal has a rim with a deep ridge that makes it impossible to clean properly. My laundry does not even smell clean after I wash it. When you call LG, they offer no assistance and state you will have to pay to have the washer repaired due to it is out of warranty. They take no blame in the matter at all and tell you its from improper cleaning. Please, this washer is a WASH OUT! Dont buy LG washers unless you want to get stuck with the bill, the dirty machine and the dirty laundry! Never again will I purchase a LG appliance!

I have purchased LG front load inverter direct drive 7.5 kg 6 motion washing machine. Although it was quite expensive for me but sales man succeeded to give me belief that it is the best model. After finishing warranty period that is 2 years and after exactly 2 years and 8-9 months machine is giving error. We had register complaint then 4 to 5 times their different technicians came telling various problem. And at last they found but spare parts are so costly so I will not suggest this w.m. for ordinary people who cant afford this regular maintenance of around 2000. If small part is also damage you have to take whole unit e.g. PCB harness for one part of filter PCB. It is really not affordable. Company should provide those small parts instead of insisting customer to buy whole units.

In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobody carried the old-timey washing machines -- unless you wanted a very small tub that you cant wash your bedding in. I did not like the fact that these new washing machines did not let you set your own water level or preferred washing cycle (you know, permanent press, delicate, regular, etc.); nor did I like the fact that it did NOT have an agitator. I do not need a washer/dryer for dummies who need presets for the various types of loads. LOL Plus, I had a sneaking suspicion that a washer without an agitator couldnt get laundry cleaned properly.Well, as it turns out, everything I did not like about the new washers is everything that I absolutely hate about our LG top loader that we bought in 2012. I was right not to want one in the first place, but I had no choice but to buy one if I wanted a NEW washer/dryer. The load sensor simply cannot gauge the size of a load properly. It either adds too much or too little water. Most of the time, it wont add enough water to cover even half of the load. When you trick it into adding more water (by opening and closing the lid as if you added garments), it ALWAYS adds water to the top -- even for a tiny load of undies.I was told they came out with these new types of washers to help reduce water usage. Well, thats an epic fail! Especially since the machine never gets the laundry clean, which often results in washing a load two or three times. I always wondered why Downy came out with those scent-boosting pellets, which we never needed with our old-timey washer -- because these washers simply do not clean clothes and they need something to make things at least smell good. Who do they think theyre fooling when soiled clothes come out of the washer still soiled? Now, about the lack of agitator, I couldnt have been more right. I was told by the salesman that the wave force is the way the machine agitates the clothes. Well, how can the wave force work when theres too little water in the machine that it doesnt even cover the load? When it fills the tub to the top on a load that didnt need that much water, the wave force causes the clothing to get all twisted. Each piece is twisted on itself as well as twisted with other clothing items. How gentle is that on clothing? With my old-timey washer, I could wash the dogs bedding and have it come out minus all of the dog hair and any stains and smells. Not with this machine. Theres always a significant collection of dog hair, particularly on the top, and I had to begin using color bleach to help with stains and smells better, but its still not clean. Dont even get me started on how unclean undies come out. LOL Those two types of loads, as well as towels, are usually the ones I have to wash two or three times -- and they STILL arent as clean as they should be.At least the dryer does a decent job, but it makes a weird noise that has me worried it will break down at any moment. Also, I fortunately have not had as many issues with the washer getting unbalanced as Ive read that others have had, but I hope I didnt just jinx myself by saying that because it does seem to be happening more often of late.At the moment, I simply cannot afford to replace a washer/dryer set thats only a few years old. My old Maytag lasted 20+ years with only two minor belt replacements, so I certainly did not expect to have to replace a three-year-old set or spend gobs of money fixing something that, according to other reviews, probably wont fix a thing.I tell you what, though, when I do go to replace them, if the stores do not have the old-timey machines with large-capacity tubs, I will go to a store that refurbishes them and spend my hard-earned money there -- most likely on a Maytag set. Maybe I should go check them out now to see how affordable they are. I know for a fact they wont cost thousands of dollars and will STILL actually get my clothes clean with less time and water -- not to mention without Downys smell-good-dirty pellets. LOLIn conclusion...just say no! Not only to LG, but any washer like it because its not possible to PROPERLY wash laundry without an agitator. Furthermore, if youre a green person like me who wants to save on water, you will cringe at how much water these washing machines cause you to waste just trying to get your laundry clean -- and to no avail.

I bought my first LG front load washer 4 years ago. Stopped working, repair person sad it was the bearings, changed them out, still not working, so had to service second time, changed internal set of bearings so ok, now a new problem. The water is pouring out of the bottom of machine. So back to repair person. He told me LG had by now paid more for repairs, than the machine is worth, so now LG finally agree to relapse my machine, but I had to drive 225km to pick it up myself. But died that, and now, only 1/1/2 years later this LG is also stuffed. So for me LG never again. Worst machine I ever had, and I am 76 years old, so have had a few machines. Shall go back to ASKO.

I wrote a review earlier about how the burner on the stove turns on if you brush up against the knobs. It does this without you even being aware and the next thing you know the ** house is burning down. This happened 3 different times and luckily I was still in the house when this happened. One time I was getting ready for work and had my dinner packed in a nylon bag and just before I left for work I heard something sizzling in the kitchen and the whole ** bag was on fire. Not happy about this ** at all. Anyway I left one of these reviews earlier asking for advice on what I could do about the situation since LG does not give a ** about these problems according to other reviews. But since my last review a couple of hours ago I went to church and then came home to cook dinner and I realized the only solution to my problem with this hazardous ** stove that cost about $1,700 if you pay full price is to remove the knobs and keep them off at all times and only use them while you are cooking. I now keep them in a bowl on top of the stove and my mind will be at ease especially when I’m not at home. In one review the ** dog turned the stove on while the people were away. LG gives not one ** about this problem. I hope this helps someone else who is at wits end. Good luck.

Neighbors also have the same product and are not satisfied with its performance. Come on LG - own up and do something to rectify a) the problem with the cleaning cycle and b) the length of time to clean, and c) how do we fix the problem without it costing MORE!

We purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in July of 2016. In February of 2019 (32 months later) the compressor died, costing us $500 in service fees and waiting a week without a fridge for parts. Contacted LG service and they gave me the run around for two days. In the meantime, we were losing food (valued around $500). After reading further online, there are class action lawsuits against LG for these same issues. DO NOT PURCHASE LG refrigerators! Look elsewhere to save yourself time, frustration and lots of money!

We have owned this for two years. When I put in a few days worth of our familys sweat pants and sweatshirts used both at the gym and on daily 3 mile hikes... I notice that the machine is only using 2 to 3 inches of water. This is not enough water to clean clothes!!! Also when I put in my delicate hiking shirts, they come out with streaks of soak on the outside. This means there is not enough water to properly rinse the clothing. I have tried adding gallons of water by hand, but it doesnt seem to work. Basically, NEVER BUY THE LG BRAND. My husband bought this, but obviously he did not know what he was doing.

I purchased 4 brand new LG appliances for our daughter when they moved into their new home. She immediately noticed a problem with the range. The knobs on this model are along the front of the stove and they can be turned on very easily. I was there one day and walked past and barely brushed against a knob and turned the element on.This has happened several times. Even the family dog has turned it on. So far there have been two fires as a result of this issue. One caused damage to their LG range hood/microwave and upper cabinets. This stove is dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell it. We have contacted LG several times. They had scheduled an in-home visit to see the issue but never showed up. We have still not received a satisfactory response. The latest response was to keep the children out of the kitchen. The children are the only ones that havent accidentally turned it on.

I have been an LG customer for very long with almost all appliances being from LG. However my dishwasher problem has disappointed me greatly. I have an dishwasher model D1452WF which is my 2nd LG dishwasher over a period of 15 years. However after 4 years of using D1452WF, I noticed start of rusting of both the upper and lower racks/trays. I thought it was just a minor issue and continued using. But now after one more year, I have noticed that the rust has increased. The spares racks cost around US$215. I am really disappointed. What is the use of a 10 year motor warranty when the inside trays start rusting much earlier. I use salt regularly to soften the water. I have no other problems with the machine. So there is no point in buying such an equipment unless they make reliable parts as well.

LGs customer service department is by far the worst company I have ever encountered. They have had repair company come to my house 3 times, not able to fix the problem. Had told me no part order was placed, the repair guy gave me invoice numbers for the parts order. The countless phone call to LG were a joke. Last one they tried tell me the the repair was cancelled, right after the repair company left my house. Tried the dryer and call them to tell them it still was not working. Asking for a supervisor and being disconnected twice, he told me the service provider was a third party. LG was the ones who set up the repair in the first place. I ruined over $400.00 worth of clothing, because LG told me to use time dry. Was not a good idea! I asked for a replacement and LG refused to condemn the dryer. I was put off, lied to, and had been given a run around by LG And had enough. I call Home depot. On the first call told me that they would make good on not only the dryer but the washer being that they were a set. Thank you Home Depot!!!!

We bought our second LG. The first a top load steam washer and now a front loader. We bought it in 2014. And it has practically ruined our towels. Regardless of how many times I clean it with the clean option or wipe it down, it breeds mold and mildew. All of our towels stink like mold. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and drying off with a freshly laundered plush cotton towel and have it REEK of mold. Its disgusting. This model isnt covered in their recall, but $35 doesnt even touch what I paid for my towels. Their QC department needs to work with their engineering department and offer a fix to this issue for consumers.

Wash machine about a year old died. Most of the time the machine washed clothes for a single man with a white-collar job. So very little clothing once every couple weeks and certainly not soiled at all. Service took 3 weeks to show up and then told the machine is junk by LGs own serviceman and then told part to fix it is discontinued! On a 1-year-old machine? Then constant runaround from LG about a proof of purchase (which I do not have). The machine was purchased at Best Buy with a Best Buy gift card so no credit card or check or other means of proof. Best Buy says they cannot trace gift card purchases. The machine has a 10-year warranty and I only know this because LG told me I registered the machine with the serial number on October 10, 2017. THEY KNOW the machine was purchased and registered for the warranty! I didnt steal it! You cannot walk out of Best Buy with clothes washing machine hidden in your pants pocket! So they know when it was purchased and where it was purchased from. They (LG) have a record of all serial numbers and where they are delivered. Now they refuse to honor the warranty.

I have exhausted every option to resolve this matter regarding our LG washer/dryer. Purchased at Home Depot (approx. 2010) with the additional warranty. Upon numerous issues with delivery, installation, drainage, mold, mildew, build up, seals, etc.. Home Depot hires an outside source/third party vendor for service. Just the phone calls alone feel like theyve taken years off my life! The call center that handles the calls is obviously outsourced and makes for major language barriers. We had numerous repairmen assist with the issues. Not one time was there any resolution. We have a family of five and Im blessed as the Laundry Goddess. Since the first week I had LG, it made my clothes smell. Despite calling LG, and having a service company come out, the smell wont go away. I have a sick person with cancer, and they cannot lay on the sheets, because it makes them nauseous. I have to take the wash to my sons house. This is totally unacceptable. I have allergies, and the smell is giving me headaches. LG needs to take this machine back, because there is something gravely wrong. The reason is it does not empty all the water out, and sits in the machine. The water gets smelly, and goes into the clothes. To sit on the floor and empty the water after each wash, is unacceptable. Bleaching and numerous cleaning doesnt help, as long as it holds at least a gallon of water all the time. Please recall the LG front load model WM042HW/01. According to LG, this is normal, and are trying to say it is the soap/detergent that is the problem. This is not so. It is a water problem that always remains in the machine getting musty.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, BUY LG!! We purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator in July 2014. Model #LFXS30766S/02. In June of 2017, the fridge stopped working, circuit board was replaced. Worked until August of 2018, repairman just left, after diagnosing that it has a sealed system failure and it would cost $1200.00-$1500.00 to fix. This fridge, mind you, cost $2300.00!! We have lost all the food in it and are presently living out of a cooler and a small dorm-type fridge to tide us over. I wish that I had done more research before we bought this lemon! We named it Voldemort, because its evil! Do yourself a favor-do not buy anything LG! Evidently, they dont care about their customers or making a good product. Life is Good?? We purchased an LG French door with freezer drawer in bottom. Have had problems with mold developing along the door gaskets as doors do not closed properly. Yesterday, there was an odor that smelled like burning plastic. It smelled like some electrical insulation was burning. The smell diminished, but this morning we discovered that the electrical cord was burning at the outlet. I called the service contract people and was told that the electric cord was not covered, that if they sent someone out it would cost $100.00+. Drove to the local HHGregg store where we purchased it originally and spoke with the manager, which was as helpful as talking to the service provider. In my opinion, both Gregg and the service provider are dishonest about their policy coverage. It appears that I am not alone with this problem.

We purchased an LG LMXS27626 in August 2016. It’s a nice fridge and worked well for our needs. Last year we had some minor issues but last week (May 2020) it stopped cooling completely. Annoying but we figured no problem. We will get it it repaired. We have since learned the mess we are in. We called every repair service in the area all of whom told us they do not work on the linear compressor. They helped us understand that it is a unique system that only LG service providers can fix. No problem we thought! At least it’s under warranty. Then we called them. Before I even hung up the phone with LG customer service I received the following email: LGs Authorized Service providers in your area are not showing availability at this time. We are urgently reaching out to other service providers to request their first available slot so that you can be supported as quickly as possible. You will be notified when an appointment is confirmed. If 7 days has passed from the date of this notice and you have not been scheduled for an appointment, please contact LG and we will escalate your case.I then took it upon myself to look at the LG website and called the 2 listed service providers in our area. They both stated they are no longer completing LG warranty services. Unsure of where to turn, we called Orville’s where we purchased the fridge. They gave us a phone number for who they said is the only LG employee who completes these repairs in our area. We called him and he was kind and helpful but he is unable to complete the repair unless LG sends the request. (We wondered why they hadn’t.) He double checked and never received anything pertaining to our issue. Good news is he has availability later this week and said he would be happy to do this but we must call back LG.I called & they told me that if we give him our Reference number that he will be able to set it up. We call back the tech/LG employee who says that is NOT true. I called back again and tried to tell them that we have an LG employee who is ready & willing to complete our repair this week but need them to set it up. They sounded surprised and after some back and forth on hold said they weren’t allowed to do this.Ok so what is the next step? I was told that LG is reaching out the an alternative service provider and will let us know when they get something on the schedule. Couldn’t get a company or any clear idea of what would be done. I asked when we might hear something and it was unclear but there wasn’t even anyone available to talk more with until Monday! So it’s 90 degrees and we don’t have a refrigerator. This is the only website that I have seen LG respond to. I will survive but honestly there are other customers who can’t access the same resources and it is concerning to read that we are one of SO MANY that go through this. This is clearly a widespread issue and LG’s lack of response so far will cause me to shop other brands in the future and also warn others of these problems. It’s not so much the fact that the appliance failed, it’s that it’s impossible to get it fixed in a timely manner. LG needs to find a solution and get some sort of procedure in place. I am hopeful this review will trigger a response & resolution.

We purchased our LG top loading washing machine back in 2010 from Sears. Almost from the beginning, we were experiencing some very high speed spinning products. After numerous complaints that never amounted to anything, last year 2013 LG sent a notice about reprogramming their computer system in this machine. That changed all the settings, times, etc but did nothing to the UE message we were receiving on the machine which meant an uneven load. Two weeks ago, Nov. 6th, 2014, a new stator for the motor was shipped to us by LG to be installed free of charge by Sears and that did not fix the UE problem.Yesterday 11/25/14, the same Sears technician came to the house and told us we needed to change a sensor and the clutch assembly at a cost to us of $703.20. Today, 11/26/14, I contacted LG and they told me it was not their problem. And I told them I would get an attorney and they said go ahead. I will never purchases another LG product again because they do not stand by their product especially when they are wrong.

I bought brand new DLGX5102W in 2011 (I had a Kenmore that was still working when I replaced it after over 20 years and that was a handy me down - and never had that repaired once but wanted the bigger capacity). Two years later in 2013...the power would turn on but drum wouldnt turn... Had that repaired, costs approx. 300.00 in total... Now the power turns off and the drum keeps going. And LG service dept stinks. They charge 100.00 just to come out to look at it, and then you have to pay for them to come back again to fix it. Doesnt anyone stand behind their product anymore? Oh, and the washer smells... When that breaks, I wont even try to repair it. Think I will cut my losses and buy a different brand, Kenmore.

Who is up for a lawsuit against LG LFXS29766S refrigerator? This is unacceptable. I bought mine in 7/2016 and the compressor failed 9/2017. Called them and they dont care. I think we should all file a lawsuit against this horrible company.

I bought an LG Refrig/Freezer side by side unit in 2013. Within four months, the doors stopped sealing causing all food inside to spoil while I was out of town. Not covered by warranty, spent over $200 to have it repaired. Repair seal was no better which resulted in a second spoilage and waste of hundreds of dollars of food. Spent another $200 - all this within a year. I bought LG because they were supposedly good. I have learned the hard way. This is far from the truth. This morning my refrigerator was dead at the age of 31 months. After calling support number I was told to hire a technician. Instead I have emptied it out and am pushing it out to the curb where it belongs - in a trash dump. Bottom line is LG refrigerators are LEMONS. Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER BUY ONE.

Sleek and modern. Quiet. No freezer burn. Easy to wipe down interior. Energy saving. Good size. Goes well with overall style of my kitchen and house never had any service issues. Good price for quality. It met my expectations and exceeded them. It felt like a luxury purchase and I wanted to upgrade from my Maytag side by side model that I had owned for 8 years. But the refrigerator really should have and needs more shelf depth. The drawers are a little smaller than I would like. The fridge is a little expensive. The freezer space smaller than I would like. Fingerprints hard to wipe off of the surface.

Bought the side by side April 1, 2015 and compressor is broken as of June 2
Bought the side by side April 1, 2015 and compressor is broken as of June 23, 2018 when I noticed water pooling and my ice cream soft. Purchased at Best Buy and they give you an extra yr warranty. The repairmen don’t work on Sundays and Mondays so I have to wait 4 days before my appt. Originally they wanted to schedule me for July 2 which is 1 1/2 wks away. My refrigerator is mildly cool and the freezer has stopped freezing. I paid extra for LG unit which advertised their quiet linear compressor. I am very dissatisfied that the unit broke in 3 yrs. That is ridiculous. I will make sure that I purchase extra warranty for I see more breakdowns in the future. Wished I would have purchased a Whirlpool which is Consumer Reports recommendation. A few of my friends have Whirlpool and no problems.Updated on 06/26/2018: Had the repairman out. I thought it was the linear compressor but it turns out its in the closed system where the freon is connected to the metal coils. He thinks there is a leak. It is only 3 yrs old. This should not be. Another appt has to be set up and a specialist will come to find the leak and put freon in. If they cant fix it, then I get a new refrigerator. This is Best Buy warranty. Today they dont come with a 5 yr warranty. I will also plan on buying extended warranty. Things arent made like they used to when assembly people put it together. My old GE lasted 20 years. That was in the 70s. They purposely design them to break down after ** years.

I dont understand why LG would think we are so stupid that we would leave the refrigerator door opened! It beeps and keeps beeping when I am trying to clean it or look for something. This doesnt make any sense to me, and I find it very annoying that LG would think consumers are this stupid.
