Purchase date is13-02-2011 and the guarantee was 1 year and the make is LG refrigerator with capacity of 255 umgs. The color is steel gray. Refrigeration is not proper. Thermostat has already been changed once. The part other than the freezer also has improper cooling leading to formation of ice in all the eatables.I tried to reach the customer care services and have already registered multiple complaints, and no response. Kindly look into the matter so that the problem gets rectified within the guarantee period.

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

I bought a LG washing machine and dryer from Home Depot which is the worst experience ever. I went to the store on Strickland Road in Raleigh, NC and picked out the best LG washer and dryer they had on sale for Black Friday on the Black Friday pre-sale. We paid about $2400. They delivered it on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and then the problems started. They had a big dent in the dryer and said they were going back and pick up another the same day. They never showed back up and didnt call or anything. I ended up getting it 2 weeks later. Then the washing machine broke down in 3 days from the time it was delivered. Home Depot would do nothing and left it to LG. I am still waiting to use my Washer and it is now December the 8th and LG said it will try and get me an appointment next week. What POOR SERVICE! Dont Buy LG or anything from Home Depot! I think I received a Lemon and Home Depot wont help me at all and Ive only had the machine 3 days.

I will never buy an LG washer or dryer again. The LG washer is rusting out on top after only two years and very careful use. I contacted customer service on numerous occasions and they wanted $200 to simply come out and look it over. They were very unhelpful and rude when I asked for someone to fix it for less since it was so new and obviously had a flaw in the design of the washer. They refused to stand by their product and refused to do anything about the rust. This washer will be lucky to last three years. It was an expensive top loading washer with no agitator. It was a waste of money. I thought the LG was well priced until I realized the quality is so poor and the customer service so awful. LG makes their appliances look good on the outside but on the inside they are very poor quality. It appears that they make their appliances look fancy and state of the art, but they are actual cheap imitations of good, solid, quality products.

I bought an LG refrigerator from Sears in May 2015. In June 2019, my freezer stopped making ice. Long story short: an LG technician diagnosed the problem as a compressor/sealed system failure. LG agreed to a courtesy repair but after three visits the LG technician submitted a report to the company declaring the unit unrepairable. Since then, the company has delayed and deflected and made follow up and follow through extremely difficult. I cannot reach a service manager on the phone. I am not sure whether I will be compensated for my losses. I know there is a class-action lawsuit against LG on this very issue. I may well end up joining it. There is no reason why a four-year-old perfectly maintained refrigerator should fail after four years. It should be covered under the manufacturers warranty.

I purchased LG washer June 2015. After the first couple of washes the detergent dispenser would be filled with water some of the time. Now it happens after every wash. I have to pull out the dispenser every time to dump the water. I called customer service yesterday. I was told to try powder detergent. I was also told that it was normal for water to be in the dispenser. No. Its not normal as it didnt do it the first couple of washes.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator for $1,500. Refrigerator suddenly stopped working last week, spoiling hundreds of dollars of food! Called a repairman who made an in-house visit and LG customer support, both confirmed that I need a new compressor. LG confirmed that compressor is covered by 7 year warranty but labor charges are my responsibility. They provided me with a couple of authorized repair places to call. I received several quotes for labor ranging from $650-$850! The refrigerator isn’t even worth that! LG has refused to do anything to fix or compensate for this!!! What a scam, I demand a full refund and will be joining a class action suit against LG for this fraud and encourage all to the same immediately! Sears Kenmore model no. 79577312600 made by LG, is what Ive been told by an appliance dealer. We were watching TV and noticed what smelled like plastic burning coming from the kitchen. When we opened the door to the refrigerator, the smell was real bad and the control panel was hanging down from the top of refrigerator. Upon diagnosis, we found that the lights had never shut off. Im no engineer, but as a 26-year veteran volunteer firefighter, this just doesnt seem safe. If we hadnt been home, my house would have burned down, I think its a possibility. Something needs to be done. What if my family had been sleeping and the house was filled with toxic smoke?

Updated on 08/23/2019: Hi this is third review about the same issue I have been having for 6 months in that LG is not fixing the brand new refrigerator that only worked for two weeks. I have been trying for 6 months for someone to show up to fix it. They then sent me an email a month ago saying they would call me to arrange a time to replace it. They didnt call. Another technician was scheduled to come. This would be the 19th appointment I have had with them and none they have shown up to. I just received another text saying that my appointment is cancelled and LG are doing absolutely nothing to honor my warranty with them in rectifying the situation. I can not say enough to never buy anything from LG.Updated on 08/14/2019: 2nd time I am writing about useless LG. I bought a brand new refrigerator. It broke after two weeks of owning it. 6 months has passed. They use A&E Factory as technicians. A&E have cancelled on me 17 times leaving me to wait at home for them and then either not calling at all or they text 30 mins before the end time. LG contacted me after I wrote my first bad review saying they would replace it. This was a month ago and now they have disappeared. Do not buy LG, the product breaks; the company is dishonest, they do nothing to help, they lie and do not follow the warranty. I am still stuck with a broken fridge with no help whatsoever. I never write reviews. I am so upset and angry about this situation I had to write this so no one else goes through what I am right now. I am utterly stranded and at the mercy of the technicians never showing up and LG doing nothing to rectify the situation. Absolutely disgusting.Original Review: Your freezer broke within two weeks of me owning the refrigerator. I have been waiting 12 weeks for someone to come and fix it. Your service provider in my area has cancelled and not shown up to any of the appointments that have been set. I will never ever ever buy an LG product ever again and I am telling every single person I know and all those that follow me on social media, on Yelp and Google and all sites to share my advice of never buying any LG products. I am disgusted with your company and disgusted I have been offered no compensation for this situation.

Me and my husband recently bought a LG fridge. Remind you not cheap $1,000. Bought this frig on Aug 15. Received on Aug 30th 2016 and it is here Sept 9th. My fridge took a crap on Sept 5. Calling the company. Oh rest it by unplugging it or reset coldness inside. Did this 3 days in a row. My food in the fridge is no good. I have kids and a baby here. Called for service. 2-5 business days for a repair company in my town to make a date to come fix it. BS. I want my damn money back plus money for my electric bill to bring in a mini fridge to keep my now rebought food. Im so damn not happy. In my opinion I think its time for a Attorney. I will NOT lose out of $1,000 for a crappy fridge I can not use.

It was virtually impossible to get a repair service for LG refrigerator warranty work. It seemed to me that LG was making it difficult just so I would give up and not request the service. I could fill pages of text with all the frustration this service caused me. Two stars because of my determination I finally was able to get a warranty service to repair the LG refrigerator.

On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

Updated on 08/13/2020: 2nd review: LG sent out a Technician as a courtesy to repair my 3 year old refrigerator!!?? Per the technician, the previous technician last year had improperly installed the refrigerators back panel when installing the $360.00 fan. This resulted into there was no airflow due to freezing that occurred over the months. This resulted in the back lower panel melting. Also there was a burning smell in the refrigerator. The technician ordered new parts and removed the frost. Refrigerator seems to be working for now. My ice maker is even working!!! LG however refuses to discuss with me compensation for the $150 worth of melted food. I didn’t even ask for compensation due to inconvenience!!!! This experience has been a nightmare! See previous review!Original Review: I purchased a LG side by side refrigerator 7/2017. On 7/2019, I noticed my ice maker wasnt working so when opened my freezer door, I discovered that my food was melting. The fan was not blowing cold air. I called the LG manufacturer. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, a representative answered and I explained my issue to them. They then asked me a series of questions. I was then told they would send out a Technician to my home however I would have to pay upfront the service charge of $125.00. I paid this amount and a Technician came out 2 days later. To my surprise the Technician informed me the fan had went out and it was not covered under the warranty so there would be $350.00 charge to repair. I had him repair the fan and when he finished, I asked about the warranty on the fan and was told it was covered for 90 days. Then on July 2020, again my ice maker on the door stopped working. This time when I opened the refrigerator door to my shock, the back of the freezer was frosted and the bottom panel was melted from the heat of the coil. Again everything in my freezer was melted. I called the LG office once again. Waited this time 30 minutes to talk to a representative. Explained my issue and was transferred to a repair person, while explaining my issue to him, he told me it sounded like the compressor and we were disconnected from his end. I waited and when I didnt receive a call back after 30 minutes I called back and went over my issue with a new representative. This representative informed me they would schedule a technician to come to my house. Due to my last experience in 2019, I asked them wasnt the compressor covered under their warranty. I was told it is however I would still have to pay a Service Charge of $125.00 before they could schedule this repair. I then asked would there be a fee associated with the compressor. To my shock they told me I would have to pay the labor and if my issue was the compressor, they estimated this should cost around $300.00. I asked was the 125.00 deducted from this charge and they told me no, it is a separate charge. I then told them I was not investing any more money in this 3 year old refrigerator that was promised to have a 10 year lifespan. I would be better off purchasing a new refrigerator. I have recently researched the web and I discovered my issues and experiences with LG has happen to many others.

We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016
We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016 (did not take delivery until mid October). On September 19, 2018 we woke up to a defrosting freezer and non-functioning refrigerator, in under two full years of use. LG customer service told me the part is covered under the sealed system warranty, but labor is not. They offered to cover labor “as a courtesy,” but they did not have a technician available. They gave me the phone number of an authorized repair center and an “APN” number, but when I called I was told they are not currently taking repairs for LG because they have a 3 WEEK backlog.I called LG back and they gave me the only 3 other authorized repair centers in the state of Colorado. Two don’t actually work on refrigerators and the third offered to come out in a week. Took the appointment but called LG back and was told I could call try to find someone to fix it sooner, but they would only cover labor through their providers. When I told them I can’t afford refrigerator repair on a product I bought in good faith that has failed in under two years, I was told “that’s not on LG.”I kept the appointment, sat home all day yesterday (9/25/18) waiting for my 1-3PM repair window, expecting a working fridge by dinner time. At 3:30 the provider arrived, looked at the fridge, said “yep, your compressor is shot. It’ll take 3 days to get the part, then we’ll get you on the schedule for repair. Just understand we’re very busy and seeing a ton of these, so we’re trying to get at least one repaired daily.” So I have no idea how long it’s going to take. My family of 7 is living out of a dorm sized (Whirlpool) fridge. I’m going to the store up to 3 times a day to get food I can make immediately and a half gallon of milk at a time for my 5 kids. We bought an entire kitchen suite of LG appliances at the same time and are now terrified they’re all going to fail and it won’t be “on LG.” As I’m sharing with friends, at least 3 have had the same issue, one within the month and her fridge was newer than mine.

On July 10, 2016 we purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFX25973D and serial # 602TRRC1Q486. I am disappointed because the product does not work properly. I have contacted LG multiple times and cannot get a satisfactory resolution to our problems. My first contact with LG was to fix an ice maker issue. LG dispatched a repairman on September 27, 2016. They adjusted the temperature and checked the ice chute, but this did not solve the issue so I called them and they came back out on 10/5/16. We had to call LG back to reschedule another repair order and the repairman was dispatched again on 10/18/16. They ordered 2 parts for the refrigerator, a dispenser ice door and a dispenser motor. The motor was shipped, but the ice door was not available at the time. We waited a couple of weeks and had not heard back from LG so we called them again and told them the work had not been completed due to not having the parts requested. They told us they would reissue another work order. We were expecting the same company to come back out but several days later a different company called to schedule an appointment and they came out on 11/25/16 and determined that they needed to replace the left door. The door was ordered and they came back out on 12/7/16 to do the warranty work.Around the end of December during the Christmas holiday the ice maker started acting up again and due to the holiday activities we held off calling LG until after the first of the year. During the 1st week of January we noticed that ice was starting to form on food in the refrigerator so we called LG again and told them that the ice maker was still not working properly and that there was another issue with food freezing in the refrigerator. We were told to adjust the temperature up in the refrigerator a little to avoid freezing and that someone would be dispatched for the ice maker again. We were getting frustrated at this point and requested that we get a replacement, however we were told that was not an option and that they needed to try to repair not replace the appliance. Each time we had to call there was a 3-5 day period of time to schedule the appointment and then another 3-5 days if parts were ordered, but this particular time we had not heard from a repairman for almost 2 weeks so we called the repair company to see if a work order had been scheduled and they told me that it had not. We called LG again to find out what the holdup was and we were informed that no work order had been scheduled and they would issue one, but it would take another 3-5 days to get it scheduled. I let them know that the refrigerator was not working at all and we lost all the food in our refrigerator due to freezing, including the new water filter that we just installed. LG did send me 2 new water filters to replace the cracked one. On February 3, 2017 we received a call from the 3rd different appliance repair company to come out and look at the refrigerator. When he arrived I told him all the issues we had been having and he determined that it needed a new main board to fix the issue of the temperature in the refrigerator and noted that the sensor was not replaceable. He did not look at the ice maker and said all ice makers have issues with ice freezing together and that I should just periodically open the ice door and shake the tray. He came back out on February 8, 2017 and installed the main board and informed me that if this didnt fix the problem not to call him again because he would not know what else to do. We set a bowl of water in the refrigerator just to check it out and it was frozen in the morning so I called LG again and was told they would schedule another repair order. Once again I asked if they could just give us a replacement instead of trying to fix this appliance as I had no confidence that this appliance would ever be fixed and that I had no intentions of paying for service calls after my warranty expired in about 5 months. Once again I was informed that this was not an option and that they needed to get the repairman on the phone with their field technicians to solve the problem. On February 14, 2017 the 4th different repairman was sent to look at our refrigerator. This time they took the refrigerator apart and at first told me that he felt like it could not be fixed. He said that the damper was staying open allowing the freezer air to reach the refrigerator, but he called LGs Field Support and they supposedly walked him through it and thought that it had fixed the problem. At this point he could not check the ice maker issue since we could not get any water to the door because of the frozen water lines. When he left I put another bowl of water in the refrigerator and several hours later noticed that ice was starting to form in the bowl and that now the refrigerator was showing an error message of F5 on the door. I went online to chat with LG about what the error message was and I was informed that it meant that the freezer sensor was bad and would need repair service. I immediately called LG again and told them that I wanted a refund or a replacement and was put off again. The supervisor told me that if I would hold on she would contact the repairman. When she came back online with me she told me that the repairman couldnt find anything wrong with my unit, we called her out on this and said, One of you is lying to us, because he was here for about 3 hours and thoroughly discussed all the issues he saw. Then she said that he didnt find anything that needed parts replaced and that she had dispatched him to come back out first thing in the morning of the 15th to address the error message. I was expecting a call the next day, but never received one so I called the repairman myself and he told me that he had not been dispatched yet. He asked me if I wanted him to come by to look at it and I told him with all the issues that weve had with LG that without a work order not to come.I called LG back and told them once again that a work order that was supposed to have been issued was not and that I was not interested in any more service calls and that I wanted a replacement. I was once again told that it wasnt an option so I informed the supervisor that their warranty said repair or replace and that after 8 service calls and fooling around with this issue since September that I felt like we had given LG ample opportunity to repair our refrigerator. I closed our conversation by letting her know that if they were not going to replace the refrigerator that I would seek resolution through the court system. On 2/15/17 I spoke with an executive supervisor at LG to let them know that I had filed the suit because I had not received any satisfaction from LGs Customer Service Department. She sent me a link so I could send her a copy of my receipt which I did thinking that maybe she would take care of replacing the appliance and I would drop the lawsuit, however we have had no further communications to this point.

I purchased the refrigerator from HH Gregg and within a week or two, we were waking up to water on the floor and ice in the freezer on everything. Also the seal was frozen and the fridge was not keeping the food cold. LG sent out a repairman who was the first of many to tell us LG has a problem with their refrigerators and cant seem to fix it. They have so far replaced left hand refrigerator door 3 or 4 times, also fixed a few other things which did not last. They keep wanting to send out repair guys which means someone has to be here for a 6hr window for him to make it. My time is more valuable to me than that. One never-ending nightmare! I ordered an LG Dishwasher (LDF5545BD) from Homedepot.com on Jan 15th, 2021. As I write this today (February 19th, 2021), I still do not have a working dishwasher after spending nearly $900! The 1st dishwasher arrived on Jan 21st, 2021 but I quickly realized the unit wouldn’t dry the dishes (even with the Extra Dry setting). An appliance associate at my local Home Depot in Austell, GA, Mr. Scott ** was very helpful in helping me contact LG to report the problem. LG decided to replace the unit which was delivered on February 7th, 2021. The installers told me they could not install it fully because it is connected electrically and they’re not supposed to deal with wires without some other attachment. Why was I not told about that beforehand or from the previous installers? Anyway, this second unit did not dry my dishes either. Called support and they told me to use Rinse Aid. I did not feel like I should have to now not only buy dishwasher detergent but also Rinse Aid. So I initially refused to add a rinse budget to my expensive non-working dishwasher purchase. A repair technician was sent out from National Platinum Service in Columbus Georgia. That technician came 13 minutes early, rang my bell, and left 12 minutes before my service window time. They sent another technician the next day who also told me I should add Rinse Aid. After doing very little to check the unit he asked me to sign and he left. I gave in and bought some Rinse Aid and then ran my dishwasher again and then again using the Rinse Aid and varying settings (like High Temp, Extra Dry, etc). No luck – dishes, racks, and inside the unit is soaking wet! LG will have you being transferred to several people who either can’t see the details of my problem or will keep you on hold so long that when someone does speak with you there is a 4-second audio delay added to uncompassionate customer service. LG says they won’t replace it with a different model or refund me so I’m stuck with an $800 paperweight. I cannot reach Mr. Scott at Home Depot and LG won’t budge (because they really, really must need my $800). They want to send another repairman as if I broke it. This is terrible!

Our 3-year old LG refrigerator stopped working overnight right before we left on a trip. Dalton **, our LG Technician, worked with us to assess the repair need, which was a compressor, and made sure that he could repair the refrigerator before he left town. He is great at what he does technically but, more than that, he is professional and gives great service. Unfortunately, we lost a great deal of food and almost lost valuable heart medication. So, we did apply for compensation for some of our food. The LG person overseeing our account was the best and kept in touch with us via telephone to ensure that we submitted the appropriate information. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much. Love LG!

We purchased this lovely fridge for our new home.and purchased a warranty with it just in case we has some issues. We are in Texas it is still hot here or it was while waiting for repairs. Our fridge began making noises and finally just stopped. We requested service on it after waiting a couple of days and troubleshooting for solutions. In the midst of hoping it would start to work again, we lost EVERYTHING in it-steaks, chicken, dressings, everything!! We finally got a service company (Premiere) to come out-2 weeks later. Mind you its hot here in Texas so we have been living out of ice chest now for 3 weeks. They finally come out for repairs after 3 weeks and the compressor is out and the blower. Parts need to be ordered. More weeks of waiting and purchasing ice. They finally came out last week and installed the compressor and the blower. It took 4 hours!! Repairman left after being frustrated that it took so long for him to repair! We were told it would take up to 36 hours to be back to normal and temperature. 3 days passed and our refrigerator never made ice and was still warm!! We called back the repair company and we were told they closed out the claim and we were back in the line again for repairs!!This is horrible, horrible customer service! My family and I have been without a fridge for a month and still dont know now when it will be looked at again. We are starting from scratch. This is a 3000.00 refrigerator! Who in management is reading the customer complaints and who can help us?? We need a new refrigerator!! Everyone has been rude even Home Depot where it was purchased!Over a month without food and groceries and nowhere to put them. We lost over 450.00 of food if not more in our fridge and so many bags of ice. This is unacceptable and I plan to go as high as I can until someone calls to help us with this refrigerator issue. It is still under warranty!! This lovely on the outside not working on the inside fridge is horrible!I am adding these notes to Twitter, Facebook and all social media I can until someone helps us or at least contacts us. This has been a horrible experience!! If you are reading or concerned LG, please contact me. We have been told now it will be a while before someone will be out. Almost 2 months without a refrigerator! Frustrated, angry and disgusted with anything LG.

Please do not buy any LG washers. I wish I read the reviews before I purchased mine in June. This machine doesnt rinse or spin properly and the loads are always wet and heavy. And this machine makes all the clothes smell horrible. I was told by LG that this was the customer error and the machine needs to be cleaned monthly. Ive never heard of such ridiculousness. A HUGE disappointment. I also never had to post a negative review for any purchase Ive made but especially after I spoke with a rep who was rude and utterly useless, I felt the need to post. Stay away.

I purchased a new LG High Efficiency top load washer, model WT1101CW, on August 12, 2013, for a total of $659.98. On January 19th 2014, 5 months after my purchase the water would not drain from my machine. I had to pull a full load of laundry out and squeeze each dripping piece of laundry in my laundry tub. I called LG and was told that I would have to use a local third party service company to provide warranty service. They put me in touch with a dispatch center to set up a service date of Saturday January 22nd. I remembered that I had purchased an extended service agreement from Best Buy when I purchased the washer, so I then called into Best Buy Geek Squad. They were able to get someone out on Monday January 24th which worked better for me due to my work schedule. Best Buy also assured me that they are authorized to provide warranty service so I decided to use the service from Best Buy.When the technician arrived he discovered that the pump on the machine was not operating at all. He called dispatch and ordered the part, we set up the service for the following Monday, February 3rd. He also told me that if the part did get to me sooner I should call and let dispatch know because it might then be possible to get someone to install the new pump sooner. As of Thursday evening I had not yet received the part. I called to check on the status but was told that the part is on back order and there is no indication of when it will arrive.I am entirely disgusted with this situation. There is absolutely no reason that a 5-month-old machine should malfunction. It is also a new LG model so one would think that parts should be readily available. Unless the pump on this model is defective across the board and that is why they do not have any in stock. Up to this point I have loved everything about this machine. Now I am entirely dissatisfied with the LG product. I have two weeks worth of laundry in a household of four people and there is no indication of when I will be able to do my laundry. I might also add that I live in the Chicago area and we have been having absolutely nasty weather, which is not at all conducive to loading up a car with 5 to 7 loads of laundry to tote back and forth through several feet of snow.I am however satisfied with the help that we have received from Best Buy. They have even offered to reimburse us for our cost to use a laundromat. The Best Buy policy will replace this machine with a new one if it takes 30 or more days to receive the part. While this is wonderful on the part of Best Buy agreement, it is completely unacceptable to me that I will have to be further inconvenienced by LG and have no idea as to how much longer this will take.

We bought this range Model LRE3083ST at HHGregg in Sept of last year. So far it has one failed control panel and today after it was replaced a few months ago I awoke to the same issue. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and nothing shows up. The buttons do not work nor does anything else. This will be the second call on this range. I am not happy right now because I have been on hold for 1 hour and 46 minutes after speaking to someone who told me the same company cannot come out until the 26th. It is the 21st. I dont believe I should be without the range for that long. It is their product. They need to get back out to fix it or I want a new range.

Wish I could leave a rating of zero stars as a more accurate rating. LG Refrigerator model LFX25974ST /04 less than one year old under full warranty compressor failed. Informed item was on back order and will not receive for 3+ weeks. We have already waited for one week for service. Numerous calls to customer service has done nothing but bring frustration and hours of wasted time. Horrible product and horrific customer service. A month without a refrigerator and hundreds of dollars in spoiled food. A family of four with two small children cannot be without a functioning refrigerator. We will never purchase another LG product, EVER.

I really liked the looks of this dishwasher until I got it home. My biggest mistake was not returning it immediately. The third rack was a pain in the neck because you could not fit glasses in the middle rack. I removed it to solve that problem. The collapsing racks have proven to be a nightmare. They will not lock in and they keep collapsing when you load dishes and cups into the washer. They have proven to be a great disappointment. Sometimes you have to fight the soap dispenser to get it to close. Next time I am going back with Maytag.

Do not buy LG washers. They are prone to breakage and the service is horrible. I have a 3 year old top loader (LG WT1101CW) and it is a terrible purchase. Light use (2 loads a week) and this thing starts popping the OE error code and not spinning out. I spent a day and a half researching and following the service manual to try to fix. Why did I not call a service tech? Because LG has none in Minneapolis. By the way, the whole phone home thing to find out the problem with your equipment, does NOT WORK. I will have to agree with other posters, this unit is disappointing in the cleaning department as well, it will not get out smells let alone dirt. At this point, as near as I can tell, like others this will need a new control board. (Without labor they charge about 20% of the purchase price.) Please save your money and your blood pressure. LG has earned every bad review you will find here.

I received this machine (LG washing machine WM3670HA) in January of 2017, in January of 2018 there was a problem with the motor that drains the machine, the machine would no longer work. I contacted the company, their customer support people really cannot help you and you go in circles with them. Appliance service companies do not want to do LG warranty work. It is February and I still have not had my machine serviced. I have never had a washing machine not work, especially a very expensive machine that I have had for just under a year. I have usually had Kenmore machines in the past and they have worked for many a year. I should not have bought a different brand and definitely should not have bought an LG.

Bought a LG dishwasher in October 2016, due to shipping issues did not get until December, installed myself, first use it took about 6 hours to complete a cycle, and dishes were still dirty, soap dispenser never opened. Called Lowe’s, they told me to call LG, and they would schedule a service call. Well they set up one for 30 days from a lawnmower company? They came, said I had a loose wire, my fault, well before they got very far away dishwasher quit. Well to make a long story short, here it is August 18, and my dishwasher still does not work. LG keeps turning me over to AE service which I dont know who is more useless, every time they schedule someone I get a phone call within a few days of appointment from a service tech that either tells me I am too far away to service, or they no longer service LG due to not being paid, some say they cannot get parts, or get wrong parts. I have been told 3 times by LG service that I was being escalated to a buy back since I have had so many problems, but keep getting the run around. Today I was offered to buy an extended warranty, what a joke. At this rate it will be out of warranty before I ever see a repairman, she agreed, and said that’s a good reason to buy this extended repair warranty. If anyone wants to call me ** I am ready to get people together to contact the Better Business Bureau, if they have had the same issue, someone need to stand up for our consumer rights. I dont even have mine hooked up, gave 15 year old General Electric away, and never had a problem with it, brother in law loves it.

I bought the LG wp2060R which is suppose to be a 17 kg washload machine... as the largest LG I have bought, I thought it better for a larger wash load... but the spin dry section is where the problem is... you need to spend too much time balancing the clothes to get the spin dryer to operate properly. Its frustrating it happens with all those highspeed spin driers but the larger capacity machines are the worst. LG as a leading brand need to rectify this problem quickly to take some of the extended stress out of laundering. Its very frustrating. I have neighbours who bought the same model and are frustrated with the same problem. (Trying to be diplomatic even though I desire to use some adjectives to express my frustration with this problem.) We would like to just transfer the wash to the spin and just start without any time consuming adjustments. Thank you.

He suggested that we cut our losses and purchase a different brand. Neither LG nor Lowes, where we purchased the refrigerator, were concerned that we lost a refrigerator full of food and had paid a lot of money for a product that was now worthless. Have had a technician visit us three times and he made sure the machine is level, has a new board with updated firmware and still we have problems. Even more telling is the fact that a tub clean cycle (water only) cannot finish without the machine stopping to display UE. Ive given up. This is strictly a review. I purchased this washer (LG Washer WT110CW) as to the high standard that Consumer Reports gave it. I hate it. Your standard wash cycle is 57 minutes. There is a load for bulky, whites, etc. but some have a cycle up to 113 minutes. They do have a quick load of 35 minutes, but thats the least. Then it spins to the point of almost drying and your clothes by then are so wrinkled, that the dryer will not take them out and now I have to iron these items. It was over $600 with tax, so I just cant go buy another one. Way too much computerized options that take forever. I want my Kenmore back that gave me very little problems and a load was done in 30 minutes (no matter what it was).

Have only had the fridge for just over 5 years, and already the compressor has failed. Came home to water all over the floor. All the food in the freezer had to be tossed. Tried calling LGs 800 number, and I got Craige, their automated whatever you want to call it. When go through his questions, you get disconnected. Tried calling 4 times to actually speak to someone, and every time got Craige. I guess LGs great Linear Compressor has a 10 year warranty, but Im looking at over $500 to have it put in as only the part will be covered. I wish I had read reviews about this horrible compressor when I was purchasing this fridge, as I would never have bought it. But Im like so many others and will have to get it fixed since it cost so much money only 5 years ago. Just sad LG cant make a reliable product. What makes me mad is they know about their failing compressors and arent doing anything about it with their so called valued customers.

We purchased a complete new set of appliances (including this LG electric range) in September 2011 at Best Buy. During the late summer/early fall of 2013 we began to experience difficulty turning the stove top burners off. This progressively got worse and shortly thereafter we started to wake up in the morning to a glowing red burner on high; so it also turns “on” by itself. Since then (approx. 6 months ago) I regulate our LG electric range by turning off the “range” breaker in our house circuit panel. This is really inconvenient. I quickly looked online to see if others experienced this problem and soon became aware of recall #13-031 initiated on November 8th, 2012. I then called LG and explained the issues; they transferred me to the recall department who initially said “sorry, your range is outside of our recall parameters; it’s too new”. I explained that I have the identical make, model, symptom, and purchase location as what recall #13-031 states. They didn’t care. I then informed LG that I also have three young daughters and I am afraid I will forget to turn the household circuit breaker off and one of them may get burned or our house could burn down one night. Again this didnt matter.During this same call the lady I was speaking with asked if we still owned our LG top load washer. I said “yes, we love it”. She said that unit has a recall and they would send an authorized tech out to repair it. This occurred in the late October/early November time frame and the washer was never the same, ruined. They tried several more times then finally agreed to replace it. We went without a washer for two months and commuted to and from the laundry mat almost daily while we waited. They finally exchanged it with a new model which runs great. During this wait I kept on calling LG customer service not only asking where our replacement washer was, but also updating them on our LG electric range. One day in December I finally was able to talk to a sympathetic recall rep who said “your range is included in the recall; it’s deep in our notes”. He said he would arrange the recall repair, finally! A few days later the local LG authorized repair center called and said they could not find our unit listed or a recall number which they needed to obtain the parts. I called LG again, spoke to a lady, and she could not validate my previous call. Regardless she heard me out and said “we will take care of this under good will”. The LG authorized service center came out in early December to inspect it, verified the problem and ordered the parts. They returned on December 17th, 2013 and installed the new parts and as soon as we activated the breaker the burners lit up red on high; once again the recall made our appliance worse. I stood right next to the tech when he called the LG tech line on speakerphone. They informed him not to touch it anymore; he has done all he can do. They will review it for replacement. Again, this occurred on 12-17-2013. I was emailed a link and submitted my proof or purchase. Then a few weeks later on 1-10-2014 I was contacted by an RA coordinator, “**”. She said LG would issue a refund but first needed to pick up our range, truck it to Minneapolis, package it, right it to Illinois, inspect it and then issue payment. She said this process would take “2 to 3 weeks” which after our recent washer experience I really have to question. I asked what we should do for 2-3 weeks without a range? She said we could front the costs of a new range and if we don’t have the money then perhaps we could explore financing it at zero percent interest then pay it off when the check arrives… I then asked what if LG repairs our range and ships it back or rejects the claim? Dead silence… I politely said this would not work for us. We have a very dangerous LG range and we want it repaired or replaced just as LG did with our washer a few months ago. We cannot afford to be without a range for 2-3 weeks nor can we afford to purchase another new range and wait for unknown results. LG denied this request three times (last conversation on 3-18-14) stating because our LG electric range is not part of the recall. So here we sit waiting, not sure this above experience is aligned with the LG Mission Statement.

To whom it may concern. My name is Liliana **, I purchased a LG refrigerator in 2012, my refrigerator is not cooling and the compressor is making a loud noise. I’ve called with my concerns on 7/14/19, the CSR was unable to help since the smart diagnostics staff did not work on weekends. Called Monday 7/15/19 spoke with one of the staff members however we tried to get the smart diagnosis to work but “ the phone signal” wasn’t good enough so nothing could be done. The rep. asked me to reset the system but nothing we tried worked, I was very frustrated not only I’ve suffered monetary loss since I had to throw away a lot of the food that was in the freezer and refrigerator. I had to wait on the line for over 30 and stayed with the rep for over an hour. My frustration grew bigger when she told me that I have to get it serviced and who knows how much More I would have to spend on servicing my refrigerator. Then she said that if I can provide my receipt of purchase then maybe the company might grant me a “one time courtesy service.” I right away made a copy and sent it to them online and my request went on for review. Today 7/16/19, got the email rejecting the request, saying that the unit is “too far out of warranty.” I paid $2400.00 for this appliance. I have the original receipt, I cannot afford to buy another refrigerator, I had high hopes when I bought this appliance, for LG to tell me that my fridge is out of warranty. My Manual clearly states that the Linear compressor has a 10 year warranty. I am very disappointed LG can’t stand behind their products, I’m not asking for a new refrigerator but I’m asking to reconsider their decision not to service my refrigerator, I think as a customer I deserve at least one chance to given a courtesy service. What if the issue is indeed the compressor? Are you not going to grant the warranty?. I’ve attached the email I received and a copy of my receipt for your review. I’m asking you to please help me to overturn the decision made by LG... This was my letter to Customer Service, I have already a denial of request. You might think well the fridge is indeed old, well I bought a Kenmore refrigerator in 2004, guess what? Still working, I have no issues - is 15 years old, no issues and have the receipt on that one too. I’ve hear too many issues and complaints about LG products and no one really wants to fix it.

I bought an LG Washer and dryer less than 4 years ago. I have a protection plan for them, contacted Home Depot where I purchased it. They said it sounds like a manufacturer defect. Gave me the number of LG. Told them my Washer was peeling and rust was falling on my clothes, They told me they do not cover manufacture defects and rust, and it is cosmetic. How can they say it is cosmetic if it is dropping rust on my clothes? They did offer to send out a tech to my house for a charge to order a new piece but I would have to pay for it. I thought LG was better than this and would stand behind their products. Never again will buy an LG product again!

Purchased a new LG top loading washing machine from Home Depot Dec. 2011. The coating on the top of the machine at the bleach dispenser has disintegrated resulting in the metal rusting and flaking off. Occasionally, clothes are coming out with rust stain. I have contacted LG and have gotten no satisfaction from them. I was told the machine is out of warranty and that this is a cosmetic issue and there is nothing LG can do. Home Depots extended warranty also does not cover this problem. Apparently we purchased a washing machine that was not designed to operate and dispense bleach as one of its functions. This is an example of poor design and quality that a major company is not willing to recognize and offer the consumer assistance in correcting. We can get some comfort in the 10 year warranty on drive motor even though the machine wont last that long. Needless to say we will not purchase another LG product.

2 1/2 years ago, I replaced all my kitchen appliances with brand new LG kitchen appliances. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed the refrigerator was not as cold as it should be so I tried to lower the temperature but the inside temperature did not change (50 degrees). I tried to contact someone to come out but nobody seems to service LG appliances (one company said they stopped serving LG about a year ago due to contractual issues). I called LG, they gave me the name and number of 2 companies that are “near” me. I called them and they do not service my area. LG said to have someone local come out and “diagnose“ then we can call them (LG) and they will “authorize” them father warranty work. Again, nobody wants to work on LG...I did schedule service with Sears, their earliest appointment was a week out. I scheduled the appointment, the day of scheduled appointment, they called to cancel due to tech being sick, rescheduled for the following week ...day of 2nd scheduled appointment, (today) another phone call canceling due to tech had “family emergency”....rescheduled for SEPTEMBER 10th!!! I called LG again and they have nothing to tell me other than their “customer service“ will call in 3-5 business days. I thought I was talking to customer service! I have never had such a problem to get something repaired. I am approaching a holiday weekend without a properly working refrigerator!!! Point is DO NOT BUY LG BECAUSE NOBODY WILL SERVICE THE APPLIANCES!!!

Bought our LG Front Loader Steam Washer (WM2501H*A) 9 years ago. 4 years after purchase we had to have the drum replaced due to the bearings going bad. Luckily it was covered under warranty so it was free. However, its only been 4 years since the replacement and again the drum bearings are going bad and need to be replaced. I was told that with the direct drive system the bearings had a longer life than previous models. If this is true then the previous models must have only lasted 2 years! We are going to run this one into the ground, spent all that money on it and feel like I might as well get my $$s worth (and it isnt worth fixing at this time.) I will NEVER buy another LG washer (and possibly product) in the future. I feel like the product they produce is low quality at a high quality price. I will be going back to top loader when this one completely fails.

Purchased a LG range model LSB5682 in Dec. 2009 from The Brick with a 5 year extended warranty. Within that period I had 5 service calls - 4 of 5 service calls have been for the control panel stops working. Trans Global comes in and replaces panel and we are fine for a little while. Its gotten to the point where the tech comes in and does not touch the range he just orders the part. Spoke with LG recall department they told me its not normal and they cant do anything about it.Trans Global only does temporary fixes instead of looking at what breaks down the panel unless they know something I dont which brings me to the lemon policy. Its only good for the first 3 years. If I knew this after the first repair I could have bought a new range with the money I have spent feeding my family at restaurants every time it breaks down because I have to wait for the part 3 to 4 weeks. So I guess its another temporary fix till my warranty runs out because Trans Global will not replace it. Thumbs down to The Brick which is Trans Global and LG for letting such companies service their products.

After a week and a half of dancing with technicians and various customer support people, we now find our LG refrigerator cannot be fixed. We purchased an LG LFC25770SG on the last day of December 2008 and took delivery in January 2009. Three years and four months later, the compressor has died. When we first discovered the problem, we were shocked the warranty was only for a year. However, some parts are covered for seven years and our compressor is one of them (partial warranty as part is covered but service is not). I could give you the blow-by-blow description of the frustrating customer support calls, three service technician visits, multiple incorrect part deliveries, and going into the Memorial Day Weekend (a traditional barbecue weekend for us) with no refrigerator, no solution to the problem and no sense of urgency by LG in correcting the situation. Our model requires a compressor that is no longer available (even though it is covered by warranty). Of course, if you go online and look for the part, you find it listed (even on LGs sites) with various prices. On many sites, it lists a replacement part for the compressor, but LG said this model requires the original compressor and that there are no substitutes. Unfortunately, they apparently have not notified the parts industry or their factory-authorized repair technicians. Even the LG technician they sent out today (We had been dealing with Sears Home Repair.) thought the replacement part was a suitable sub and was trying to figure out how to install the replacement part. Only after I insisted he interrupt his call to listen to me did he hear me say we have talked to LG twice and that they said there is no substitution for this part. Sears parts distribution has sent us the same part in an expedited shipment twice. Guess Ill tell them since LG hasnt, now we are waiting for LG management to contact us for a solution to our problem undoubtedly next week. That will make a full two weeks without our refrigerator with no concern for the food lost, inconvenience, customer dissatisfaction, repair call costs, or even product quality. I expect their solution will be unsatisfactory (a replacement unit with no warranty, a depreciated value refund, or credit toward a new model, etc). None of these will be satisfactory, as I will accept nothing less than a suitable replacement with the full warranty or refund of our purchase price. I suspect this may be the beginning of litigation. I would like to think LG would be concerned enough about their brand and their product quality that they would want to do the right thing to make us whole. However, our experience so far and the complaints Ive read here do not project a favorable outcome.

We spent $2,022 on an LG French Door refrigerator in May, 2012. The compressor went out in April, 2018 but was covered under a 10-year warranty. LG stated they would not send the new compressor directly to us, they would only send it to an LG authorized service provider, who would come to our home and the repair and labor would be 100% covered. After 3 months of calling (and never hearing back from their maintenance department as repeatedly promised) we said we wanted a certificate for a new refrigerator. LG stated that they needed the original proof of purchase, which we provided via download to them at least 5 times. Then we were told we’d get a refund for the refrigerator since this MAJOR household appliance had been broken for over 3 months and I’d receive an email from them within 5 business days that would detail the refund process. Again, no response and no email explaining why. I just got off the phone with one of their “executive” staff who said the one-time courtesy repair that was extended in April, 2018 was “null and void”. She acknowledged all the issues and said they wouldn’t do anything at all. DO NOT BUY LG products – they’re expensive and will break during the warranty period - their customer service is designed to string you along for months until you give up. DO NOT BUY LG!

LG Microwave Oven Model LRM1260SW. I purchased it in 2009 at Best Buy for $200.00. At the time, this was considered to be a high-end price for a table top microwave oven. We noticed that the turntable was sticking. My son looked at the rotating ring that supports the glass turntable and noticed that there were pieces of plastic flashing that had not been cut away after the part came out of the injection molding machine. So we cut the flashing off and the turntable worked fine. Then a month later, the light bulb burnt out. We havent yet replaced it because we dont yet have the right tool to open that part of the oven wall to get at the bulb. Then we noticed a burning smell that occurred sometimes when we used the oven. It smelled like plastic burning. Then we realized that the turntable was again not working. Were not sure when it stopped because the light is not working. My son finally got a day off and turned the oven over to open it up. There was a section of the bottom panel that was proliferated so it could be pried off. My son removed the section and it revealed a burn out synchronous motor that turns the turntable. The gear that was made of plastic was literally melted, (thus the burnt plastic smell). We will replace the motor for $25.00 and the light bulb for $8.00 and try to use it as a back-up appliance. But the easily removable panel on the bottom of the oven indicates that they expected this motor to need replacement, (planned obsolescence). I bought this oven to replace a perfectly good running Sanyo oven only because the Sanyo was 24 years old. I will contact Sanyo and determine what their best oven is and buy that. No more LG anything for me.

I dont trust any of the side loaders due to the possibility of water leaking around the door seal. Price was discounted for a holiday, from Lowes. Lowes installation bothered me a lot. This washer and dryer replaced Kenmores that were 25 years old, and still running. Quality means a lot to me. I expect these LGs to last at least as long as my 25 year old Kenmores since engineering and technology MUST have improved in the last 25 years. After a year, I am very happy with the LGs. Occasionally, the washer cant balance the load and I have to redistribute the washer contents. Note that the basin spins at over 1000 rpm, so a balanced load is critical. Thats okay. I thought the vast number of washing options were way too many, so too the dryer. But I guess some owners will use options that I dont. The clothes load size is really big. You will need very long arms to reach the bottom of the washer to pull out all the items.

It ultimately reaches target temp, but about 10 minutes later. The first casserole baked gave us mild food poisoning as we erroneously believed it had cooked according to the recipe. In fact, it was placed in the oven 100 degrees below temp, lost heat in the process of opening the door, then was never cooked long enough. Bought a LG topload washer and dryer on Feb 21, 2014, on March 21, 2015 the circuit board fried. I contacted LG and they had given me the extended warranty, so kudos for them for that. From there the bottom drops out. For over a week they said that no repair shop would come and fix it because I lived too far out, I looked them up and there were two within 10 miles of me. Finally I asked them what address they had, for some reason they had an address that we hadnt lived at in over 7 years. Got that fixed and a week later the repair guy shown up for 10 minutes to tell me that the board is fried and they will have to order one. So they order it and they deliver the wrong part, he calls LG and orders again, explains to them what he needs. They send exactly the same part, so he opens a claim. That was over two weeks ago, I have called them at least 3 times a week only to be told that they have to order the part, but they cant tell me when they will get it. They have put me on hold for over 30 minutes, hung up on me while I was explaining to them what was going on. It has been a nightmare, just got off the phone with LG and the guy was very nice and apologetic, and said he will escalate it, but I have been told that several times. We now have a $900.00 paper weight sitting in our laundry room and LG has been no help. They gave us the extended warranty, but it is looking like that was just to appease us as they cannot tell me when it might get fixed. Never buy LG again. BUYER BEWARE. LG is the worst appliance brand to ever purchase. Please avoid getting anything from them, as I have had the worst experience with their customer service and major appliance I purchased from them. I purchased my refrigerator from hhgregg (which is now out of business, my luck) about 4 years ago. Maybe within a month of this huge investment, we started to have issues with the ice machine. We have had service call numerous times over the ice machine, which is quite shocking all for a simple standard feature on a refrigerator. Thank God we were still under warranty for the ice maker replacements, and even still after the repairs, we continued to have issues with the ice machine. After hhgregg went out of business, so did our warranty servicing. Then, about a month ago, the compressor went out. Thinking that LG would stand by their products and offer servicing, that was not the case. From reading past postings, they are completely aware of the problems with the compressor failing on this model. They had a technician come out who confirmed that the compressor went out and to fix would be $$$$ (costly), and offer a 90-day warranty. The technician recommended that it wasn’t worth it and to go with a completely different brand! I was in complete shock! However, I truly appreciated his honesty, since it confirms that LG dont stand behind their products. Such a huge waste of money and disappointment. So, unless you have money to throw away, stay away from LG refrigerators. MODEL: LFX31925ST.

So first of all why give an 8-12 window when the tech shows up at 2. Not once but twice!! Now, I wish I was joking, but they are sending someone out again for the 4th freaking time to fix this damn thing!! Please stop wasting everyone’s time and just junk out this worthless unit. Please believe me, never again LG products. It’s said that I work in retail and have shown them much love, that definitely ends today. I will definitely never recommend, sell or talk highly of. Count on that. What a waste of time and money. Not to mention, not being able to cook meals at home and wasting so much money on having to buy takeout and food spoil. Can’t believe this.

We purchased an LG French door fridge, stove and microwave in April 2016, by August 2016 the fridge no longer worked. We have been living out of coolers constantly having to buy ice for the past month. Spending lots of money eating out because I cant go grocery shopping. 2 techs have been out for repair, but have yet to fix the compressor which they both say is out. It is now September 2016 and I still have no working fridge. We paid $2583.50 for a fridge that lasted 4 months. After reading other peoples experiences here I now know that I have wasted a big amount of my money as I have had the same experience with Lg customer service. Long waits on the phone, no type of care or concern about having a customer fridge less for a month now, even after I told them we have a son whos medication must be refrigerated. No compensation offered whatsoever. None given when requested either. Their customer service line is horrible. They do not care about their customers at all.I have never reviewed any product because I have never had the need to do so. Everything always works just as promised. We had our previous fridge 12 years without a single repair made to it (kenmore) only replaced to this LG because kitchen was remodeled and wanted a new look. BIG MISTAKE - we made with our choice. Do NOT waste your money. LG products are NO good. Stay away.

The washer is leaking out of the back. There is evidently a flap that is faulty. The service call is $90.00 plus parts. My son bought the same washer and is having the duplicate problem. It seems that the company should recall the leaking flap on all the washers with this problem. The service people who do not like working on LG are saying that it is difficult to get the parts and the machines are troublesome to repair.

LG DIRECT DRIVE 7 KG F1292QDP25 - I bought the washing machine in Dubai and shipped to India. It worked hardly 50 hrs and started malfunctioning. A service request was logged thru a Dealer in Kerala and the Mechanic attended the case promptly. He confirmed the Electronic Control Board was damaged and it was why the program were not running properly. I spoke to the local service manager and he confirmed that warranty could not be given for the machines purchased outside India. However, asked him to order the part but, he could not get “any response from LG for the last two months. As the machine stopped working I contacted the local Distributor in Dubai last week but, they also did not keep stock. For getting the Part from Korea they wanted me to pay Dh.650 which is almost half the cost of a new machine.

Seems my problem (compressor & HORRIBLE customer service) is one of MANY complaints about the LG refrigerator. It is junk and the service techs are even worse!!! No one cares and there really is no one to talk to as it seems even the managers and supervisors are deaf tone. The Filipinos are very nice... but NOT HELPFUL at all. It is like they just read from their computer prompt with every statement you make. My question is: WHERE AND HOW DO WE GET A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT?! $3000 fridge should last more than 3 yrs! I have a small fridge that is 21 yo and has never had a service call and still works! My in laws have a fridge from 1978 that STILL WORKS! Wth?! Junk!!!

The LG refrigerator works great and looks great. My only complaint would be about the way the top on the crisper drawer close. You have to be very careful or you will break the lid off of the drawer.

Hundreds of thousands of these machines were recalled for going out of balance however mine was not the correct serial number even though it had the same problem. LG was useless at helping and none of the local service repair people would even touch an LG appliance unless they sold it themselves and even then they preferred not to work on them. I had to throw the washer away even though it was less than two years old (it started going uneven after 14 months so my one year warranty was no good). Never buy an LG anything.

Like the lighting; like the french doors; like the size. Have had problems with ice maker freeze up; frost build up around the door vents that feed the ice maker and most recently a complete failure of the cooling to both refrigerator and freezer compartments. Entire food contents had to be discarded. A major nuisance for a refrigerator with this price tag. Waiting for warranty repair. Will see how that goes.

Our LG Tromm DLE2516W dryer would not start the second time in 6 months. LG is the only source of repairs. They will not sell parts to anyone but their own approved shops. All bookings are through them. I have a 2007 dryer. LG quoted $95 for a technician to look at it. They designated Priority Appliances to do the work. Priority said they would charge $125.00 to visit and do only 15 minutes work for that price. LG would not honour their quoted price. This means a minimum of $125.00 + parts + installation time + taxes -- the price of a replacement machine. Nobody else can buy parts in Canada. This is a racket to overcharge customers as much as possible.
