DONT BUY LG! I bought an LG stainless steel refrigerator and after 30 days the top 1/4 of the doors turned brown. LG says this is cosmetic and not their issue. I bought an extended warranty through BrandsMart and that company says they only cover electrical and mechanical. The store, BrandsMart, says it is an LG issue. Bottom line from this Abbott and Costello routine is that I am stuck with a 30 day old stainless steel refrigerator that looks rusted.

I wrote a review maybe a year ago... same problem everyone had with the unbalanced load of the LG washer and no credible response by LG except... go pay a repairman to fix it. I read about 2 possible home-made cures... and one really works. Take an old throw-away bathroom hand towel, and fold it over and over to get it to a point where it can barely... BARELY... get wedged with all your might on top of the drum/cylinder in your washing machine and under the metal frame above it. I really struggled to get it in there... That is how tight it must be. Now do another towel... same way, for the opposite side of the machine. One towel is at (say) 9 oclock and the other is at 3 oclock. And dont worry that maybe 2+/- of the towel hangs out over the inner portion of the tub... there should be an equal portion hidden out of sight to the other side of the top of the drum. This way the towel can move a bit during a cycle and yet basically enough stays in place to absolutely keep the drum from rotating out of balance. Thats it. While the towels might move a bit during a washing cycle and end up at 11 and 5 on the imaginary clock, as long as they are opposite each other, they work. Just check them after each cycle... Are they tight? Do they need to be re-wedged in there?To help further, I have run the spin cycle only as high as medium. My first few cycles showed me that the towels were not wedged tightly enough in the opening, so be ready to re-do this part a couple of times until you realize how hard you have to work to get those two towels wedged into place so tightly that maybe there is not even room to push a quarter in above the towel. Be careful of your fingers as you do this... That is how tight I wedged these towels in!!! See photo. I have run maybe 20 loads since this cure was found online... and I have no more UE messages. I used to get a UE message every time I ran the machine!!!

Ok so that part was covered by warranty but the $600 to get an authorized repair person out here to fix it was not. I just don’t understand. I have always thought that you pay more for better quality. Not in this case. LG... less good, loser goods, Let it Go. Save your money. Buy any other brand but LG! (PS... made a serious error and bought an LG dishwasher. It was rated #2 on Top Ten Reviews. It broke after 1 1/2 years! Repair has send five different guys over a one month period and no one can fix it! Rather than LG just admitting that its a piece of crap and replacing it, we are dealing with this circus show.) Never again, LG! NEVER AGAIN.

It was designed such that the latch cant be replaced. The entire side of the door had to be removed and a large part replaced. In general, the refrigerator feels as if it’s not well made, and built with materials that seem cheap. Well never buy LG again.

After the first year of ownership, what I thought was an investment of a lifetime, has evolved into the mistake of a lifetime. This washing machine (LG WT1201C) is depositing some kind of a black substance all over my entire wash. When rubbing this deposit while wet it dissolves into some kind of oily residue. I had three different service technicians from three different companies all of which said I needed to clean the machine more. Really??? One technician went as far as to say it had something to do with the drain line. I have used every product imaginable to clean the tub to include bleach, vinegar, tub clean from Affresh, and Tide, none of which has resolved the problem. I have even removed the drain hose from the machine, and washed it out (which should not have to be done). The slime inside the hose is not the same substance which is being deposited on my clothes. I had a very expensive set of sheets ruined on the first experience, not to mention having to drive across town to wash my clothes.The problem seemed to have subsided for a while, but now it is back with a vengeance. I called LG to set up a service call and spoke with Cyrus on 6-6-16 who informed me I would have to call back and schedule an appointment with Sears and was given the phone number of 800-905-9505. Cyrus stated these people were trained to work on LG products. I called the number provided on June 11th speaking with Donald and set the appointment for Monday June 20th and was given the repair ticket # **. On June 20th the technician didnt bother to show up or call, after I had taken the day off from work for this repair. I called LG in regards to this matter and spoke with Tori ID#**, who informed me they (Sears Center) had treated her just as poorly when questioning why the technician had not shown up or called. To make matters worse the Scheduling Department took it upon themselves to schedule an appointment for the next day, Tuesday. Again I placed a call to the Service Center to cancel this service call as I had not made the appointment and would not be available due to my work schedule. I explained, to the male on the phone, not to schedule any appointments as I would call back when I had time available. The following day I received another automated call to inform me a technician would be arriving on Thursday. Again I had to place a call to cancel this appointment. To escalate this matter even more on 6-27-16 I called the Sears Service Center, and was informed they could not schedule a service call for Saturday, as this was a warranty call and they do not do warranty work on Saturday, just non-warranty work, and I was informed, by Sears I would have to call LG back as my repair order had been cancelled, which I did, and spoke with Heather, who informed me they have no control over when Sears schedules their technician. On 6-29-16 I started the calling game all over again placing a call to 800-905-9505, and the female answering the phone said she could not schedule any appointments for any Saturday. I then asked to speak with the supervisor and spoke with Robert for the second time. When he started to say they didnt have any Saturdays available I advised him I had already spoken to him and knew he was not telling the truth. All of a sudden magic happened. I was given the date of July 9th with a service # of **. When asking Robert where this call center was he stated it was Columbia.

As has been noted, a little over 2 years (gee, theres a 2 year warranty... hmmm), the fridge died. puddles on the floor, which I thought might be from the water filter, began forming... Before I realized it wasnt cooling, $500 worth of food had to be tossed into the trash... 1 week later, a service guy fixed it (replaced the compressor, added coolant)... it now rattles, and it isnt cooling... they are coming back again on Weds (5 days from now) to try to fix it again... I dont have much faith. One thing I will say... CALL LG. They covered the labor and the part, despite being past the 2 years. Dont let them tell you theyll cover the part but not the service, as this problem is PREVALENT, and they are (Im sure) just trying to avoid a class action lawsuit at this point.

Each technician has said it is unrepairable and sent necessary paperwork to LG for replacement. I have even submitted a report with the BBB and sent all necessary receipts for fridge and lost food like they requested for replacement and compensation for food lost. LG said they would call back within 5 days and take care of. NOTHING. I have now called 5 times in the last week and even if you get someone to answer - they ask the SAME THING give us your email address so we can send you link to a website to upload your proof of purchase. They NEVER send you an email!! Lies, lies, lies!!! They are crooks!! Their product is junk and their customer service is even worse!! Beware - NEVER buy an LG product!!

After about a year I noticed some rusting at the bleach dispenser but I just ignored it.Fast forward to 2017 and it has turned into a full blown big deal. It has rusted out, corroded, ready to crumble! I contacted LG and they were happy to send someone out to fix it for a flat rate of $245, to put another defective top on it that I would have to replace in a couple of years, whether I use bleach or not, because this has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with bleach! Upon doing a little online research I learned that I am not the only one having this issue, there are dozens, perhaps hundreds with the exact same problem! Yet LG swears that WE are spilling bleach and they are not liable for any repairs! But many washing machines before have had bleach spilled and did not rust like these do, so it must be a defect that LG will not fess up to. I am mad! That they are getting away with this and ripping people off!

When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobody carried the old-timey washing machines -- unless you wanted a very small tub that you cant wash your bedding in. I did not like the fact that these new washing machines did not let you set your own water level or preferred washing cycle (you know, permanent press, delicate, regular, etc.); nor did I like the fact that it did NOT have an agitator. I do not need a washer/dryer for dummies who need presets for the various types of loads. LOL Plus, I had a sneaking suspicion that a washer without an agitator couldnt get laundry cleaned properly.Well, as it turns out, everything I did not like about the new washers is everything that I absolutely hate about our LG top loader that we bought in 2012. I was right not to want one in the first place, but I had no choice but to buy one if I wanted a NEW washer/dryer. The load sensor simply cannot gauge the size of a load properly. It either adds too much or too little water. Most of the time, it wont add enough water to cover even half of the load. When you trick it into adding more water (by opening and closing the lid as if you added garments), it ALWAYS adds water to the top -- even for a tiny load of undies.I was told they came out with these new types of washers to help reduce water usage. Well, thats an epic fail! Especially since the machine never gets the laundry clean, which often results in washing a load two or three times. I always wondered why Downy came out with those scent-boosting pellets, which we never needed with our old-timey washer -- because these washers simply do not clean clothes and they need something to make things at least smell good. Who do they think theyre fooling when soiled clothes come out of the washer still soiled?Now, about the lack of agitator, I couldnt have been more right. I was told by the salesman that the wave force is the way the machine agitates the clothes. Well, how can the wave force work when theres too little water in the machine that it doesnt even cover the load? When it fills the tub to the top on a load that didnt need that much water, the wave force causes the clothing to get all twisted. Each piece is twisted on itself as well as twisted with other clothing items. How gentle is that on clothing?With my old-timey washer, I could wash the dogs bedding and have it come out minus all of the dog hair and any stains and smells. Not with this machine. Theres always a significant collection of dog hair, particularly on the top, and I had to begin using color bleach to help with stains and smells better, but its still not clean. Dont even get me started on how unclean undies come out. LOL Those two types of loads, as well as towels, are usually the ones I have to wash two or three times -- and they STILL arent as clean as they should be.At least the dryer does a decent job, but it makes a weird noise that has me worried it will break down at any moment. Also, I fortunately have not had as many issues with the washer getting unbalanced as Ive read that others have had, but I hope I didnt just jinx myself by saying that because it does seem to be happening more often of late.At the moment, I simply cannot afford to replace a washer/dryer set thats only a few years old. My old Maytag lasted 20+ years with only two minor belt replacements, so I certainly did not expect to have to replace a three-year-old set or spend gobs of money fixing something that, according to other reviews, probably wont fix a thing.I tell you what, though, when I do go to replace them, if the stores do not have the old-timey machines with large-capacity tubs, I will go to a store that refurbishes them and spend my hard-earned money there -- most likely on a Maytag set. Maybe I should go check them out now to see how affordable they are. I know for a fact they wont cost thousands of dollars and will STILL actually get my clothes clean with less time and water -- not to mention without Downys smell-good-dirty pellets. LOLIn conclusion...just say no! Not only to LG, but any washer like it because its not possible to PROPERLY wash laundry without an agitator. Furthermore, if youre a green person like me who wants to save on water, you will cringe at how much water these washing machines cause you to waste just trying to get your laundry clean -- and to no avail.

When the service tech came out on 10/24, the unit was eligible to be fixed free of charge, (which they told me would cost hundreds of dollars). When I complained to LG via ConsumerAffairs, they posted this response on 11/07. When I called them today to inquire about getting it fixed free, they said that now that is was November, we no longer qualified since it was now more than 5 years old, (by 7 days since it was manufactured in October of 2014). Why would they tell me this and then recant it? See screenshot below.... Beware of LG Refrigerators and LG in total, I have two of these refrigerators and their TVs.Original Review: The compressor on our LG refrigerator went out after just 5 years, although its under warranty, it doesnt cover Labor which turn out is several hundred dollars. In addition, it takes weeks to get the parts, not fun when your fridge is down for several weeks. I have two LG refrigerators that we spent more than $2,000 for each....terrible investment. Beware of LG refrigerators.

I have been using LG brands for years and a very well known brand. Always changing the needs for the consumer, and all about making great and outstanding products. The refrigerator we purchased was a side by side, and I like how it was stainless and easy to clean. Also had the water and ice dispenser. Also kept everything cold and or frozen very well. Made veggies last a little longer in the crispers. The only thing I didnt like was there was not enough room in the side by side for the freezer section and the refrigerator got overcrowded at times. Especially shopping for kids during the summers.

I do love the French door refrigerator with the exterior water and ice dispenser. I did have difficulty with the exterior coating (called black stainless steel, which it is not) chipping off and had to fight tooth and nail to get anything done because they called it a cosmetic issue. I was not. It kept flaking. It was a defect in the coating. The refrigerator itself has been easy to clean, has multiple shelf options, and I love the wide drawer at the bottom. The freezer also has a top drawer to keep all those smaller things that can get lost in the bottom of a freezer. Also space enough for me to separate my meat from everything else, so I can see quickly what I need to replenish. The ice maker is great! Options to make extra if youre having guests is a great feature and you can switch from cube to crushed.

We purchased the LG Smart Drum thinking this was a great investment. It was the worst decision we made. It takes hours to wash one load. It constantly errors with UE no matter what load is in there. Even during the clean tub cycle where they recommend nothing in the washer. We have to constantly reload heavy wet clothes to rebalance eventually have to go directly to the spin cycle and shutting off the water just to get it over with. I am lucky to get two loads of laundry done in one whole damn day.I cant get anything else accomplished because I am babysitting a damn washer. It has caused so much frustration among our entire family because no one can get their laundry done and over in a reasonable amount of time. I am going out this weekend and buying a new washer. It wont be a LG thats for sure. From all the other reviews it appears the washer is a lemon and LG knows it but they dont care. Also, the app they say you can get is not available either. They should be sued for falsely claiming things this washer can do and it doesnt. True balance my butt... this machine is the worst. Buyers beware. You will be sorry.

Above the lights it is charred which was causing smoke. I am a state certified Fire Safety Inspector. How can this not be a fire hazard? All the reports I have read LG gives a generic explanation. Which is, our products are all tested and passed UL testing. Ive been a firefighter for over 30 years. If its smoking 100% chance its burning soon unless suppressed. LG model # LFX25960ST

Seems like from the very beginning we had issues. The water filters don’t last as long as they should, the main fridge door hinge got bent (somehow)? We had a serviceman come out to inspect. He wanted 300.00$ to replace a 50$ part. No way! I ended up getting small magnets to try and pull the door gasket closed, this kinda worked at best. And now, yesterday the whole fridge cooling system died? I pulled the fridge out, cleaned the coils, hoping for the best. This did nothing. Unfortunately service calls are out almost a month. We need it fixed now!! Food is going bad. We ended up buying a new GE Profile fridge. We’ll never buy anything LG again!!!

The 10 year warranty LG highlights on their compressor is misleading. We spent $2300 on an LG French door refrigerator in late November 2015, it stopped cooling in February 2018 (26 months). Two techs found the compressor failed. While the part is covered, the $600-$800 in labor is not. After reading other nightmares, we opted to buy a new fridge (NOT an LG) and contact an attorney. I would not recommend LG refrigerators nor will I ever buy an LG product again.

We had a new oven replaced by Best Buy within 1 month of purchase (August purchase, November install 2017) because the display would not work when installed. We have had the ignitor replaced 2 times in the last 2 years (July 2020, Feb 2021) at our expense because they stated our warranty was expired when contacted first time.I received a call after my previous review (2/2021). The gentleman stated he would work with us either on replace or money back. But when I stated it was currently working due to repair the previous week, I was told he was unable to help us. The oven no longer maintains heat AGAIN only 3 months after repair. I tried to contact LG via phone and a recording state they were overwhelmed with calls to try again at another time. I tried a private message with no response. I AM A FRUSTRATED AND UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.Original review: We purchased a complete LG kitchen package August 2017. They were installed in November 2017 when kitchen was finished being remodeled. When turning on the oven the burners would work, but oven would not turn on. They stated it was the circuit board and a brand new oven was brought in and installed. In July 2020 the oven would not maintain temperature, at times not even turning on. Since it was not covered under warranty, we called a repair company to come in.They replaced the igniter. Starting in January we had the issue again. The oven would get up to heat then turn off leaving food completely uncooked. It would occasionally heat up and maintain the temperature but became so unreliable we rarely used it. Yesterday, February 2, I tried to cook dinner, the oven went up to temperature and then cooled down immediately. I turned off and tried again, the oven refused to heat at all. We now have another repair service call. It is getting expensive and the oven is so unreliable that I would not recommend an LG gas stove/oven.

Happy with the way it performs. It is just every year, this being year 4, I have had to have a service technician come out and replace the whole pump assembly. The dishwasher starts squealing during the whole wash cycle. Not much at first, but after about a month of running almost everyday, it goes to constant. The noise is quite annoying. Like I said today is the 4th time I am having service for this issue. Thank goodness they offer the extended warranty. I will keep purchasing as long as they offer it. But seriously after purchasing a 800 dishwasher, I am still spending 100 for the extended warranty every year.

It keeps the food in the fridge nice and cold. I hate room temperature water and if I put water in, then its cold almost immediately. It is a nice texture and overall a good fridge. Sometimes it can get too cold though. Things almost get frozen, which can be nice but also nasty and leave residue. It also broke so we had to buy a new one.

Less than 30 day after the 1 year warranty expired, got an error code indicating there was a bad control board or fan. Tech replaced the fan was first and that did not fix the issue, so then control board. Reading on line reports, this was a known issue with the LG control board. So $350 later, it was working again. Then a few month later, the ice maker started icing up. Turns out that the waterline running into the door has a know issue also. So tech had to order a new door (over $500) and with labor, total cost was over $850 for that failure. About a year later, started hearing a loud noise when a fan kicked on. This turned out to be a bad fan behind the rear panel in the refrigerator section. That was a $200 dollar repair (parts and labor).Shortly after that repair, the same fan started making noise again. This time the housing around the fan had shifted because of tension being place on the housing that way it is installed, making contact with the fan blades. Tech was able to readjust the housing to not touch the fan blades. But another $100 service charge. Now the Sealed System is out. The Sealed System is under warranty, but very hard to find anyone to do the repair. Sears is coming out next week, but the warranty only covers the parts. So labor will be $99 just to get them to look at it. The tech that looked at it yesterday (another $100 charge), indicates it likely the compressor, but he was not allowed to replace parts covered by warranty. Said I had to contact a Sears or LG for warranty repairs.

The first call to LG service said there were no faults in the machine (over the phone code reading) just out of balance load. BUT we were told NEVER put pants AND shirts in the machine together! Err, WHAT!? The second call we were told we were out of the service area, funny; we had asked that from Home Depot BEFORE we bought it. But after a few emails to LG they did find someone and he came out and replaced the computer. Now the machine does finish the load IF and only IF its happy and in a good mood. Balance is really critical and it tries for a long time to rebalance it before giving up. I dont believe there is anything wrong with the washer at this point, it is just a BAD design, STAY AWAY. And the warranty department doesnt really give a damn.

We have had it repaired via phone technicians at LG via wireless and we have had to have an LG technician to the house to fix it. It has just broken again with nice clothing in it soaking wet with soap in them. LG customer service has been horrible. They said they can come next week at the earliest. The representatives were not helpful. When I asked who they reported to in order to escalate the situation to fix the machine and save my clothes, they said Bon-Moo Koo, the CEO in Korea. That is not a helpful problem resolution path. I am very dissatisfied with their product and even more dissatisfied with their customer service team who were awful. I am now working with Home Depot who are being helpful to return the machine and get another one as I cannot use this one as it breaks all the time. I would seriously recommend against getting an LG machine. It has been a horrible experience and wasted hours of my time on the phone.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise to get rid of these machines. Unfortunately, most people are being duped out of a small fortune to buy them without being fully informed of the health hazard. This may need additional legal action.My child now has respiratory problems/asthma and is on medication daily. I have also developed an adult-onset asthma.

The size of the flames around the burners vary considerably, so food will burn in one part of the pan and be barely simmering in another part, making it very, very difficult to cook food evenly. All 5 burners have the same problem. An LG technician came to fix it for the second time today with no improvement. I just got off the phone with customer services Executive Services and was told there was nothing more they could do, and that the stove was functioning according to the manufacturers standards and they will not replace or let me return it. So I paid $1300+ for a stove that doesnt cook any better than a primitive campfire. I have cooked on gas stoves for more than 30 years and have never had this problem. Cooks buy gas stoves so they have more heat control, not less. Id suggest LG needs to reconsider their manufacturing standards as their current one is unacceptable.

He called a different Sears number and they said to call LG because its an LG machine.He calls LG and LG says that they no longer have a relationship with Sears and we need to talk to them. We then talk to Sears and the rep says our machine is definitely recalled but we need to call the recall line (which was the 1st call that had been made). He gives us the number to the escalation department and the rep claims she cant find our account. Then she says she needs a few minutes to research it and the call is disconnected. What are we supposed to do now? There really is a recall on this machine and I think it shook so bad over time that something was damaged in the unit. Sears wont help. LG wont help. Who can help? We are just out the 800 we paid? It is just my husband and I so it isnt like this machine was even used that much. No one will help us. What do we do now?

From the day we literally plugged it in, it has been, and continues to be, a disappointment. For a company with a footprint of LG, were appalled at both their lack of engineering and Customer Support.Our issue became noticeable day 1 when the appliance was not cooling properly. The first indicator was the milk, (which was stored on the refrigerator door rack to accommodate a gallon size, was WARM. My wife proceeded to purchase a thermostat to monitor the temperatures within the cavity of the unit. For the limited cubic space it has, the temperatures varied considerably. We proceeded to contact Customer Service, and for a unit right out of the box, we immediately encountered additional challenges. 1- Our first contact was with a Customer Service Representative in the Philippines who spoke Very broken (if any) English. (Follow up calls were just a bad.) For such global company you would expect them to have better matched resources to offer its customers. 2- To have a Technician visit the situation, they would potentially charge a $50 Service Call. (Again, the unit is not even a week old. That policy took some arm wrestling, but it led to being waived.) 3- Fast forward, a Technician did arrive at the house to physically and wirelessly confirm the settings. NO PROBLEM. At this juncture, my wife was getting a bit perturbed and stated a temperature measuring 40 degrees is not only a problem, its a health hazard. The Technicians solution was to recommend we rearrange the contents where items as mustard, pickles, salad dressings, butter.... should only be on the door racks. Items as milk, even though the door has a rack to accommodate a gallon container, should go on a shelf. (Its noteworthy to mention; weve stored milk on the refrigerator door for the last 40 years with no temperature problems!) When we proceeded to challenge that rationale, his final cure all was the straw that broke the camels back... we just havent adapted to it yet. Those remedies are very shallow for a unit that costs ~$2,000 with supposedly state of the art engineering. We cant fathom how a major entity as LG can be so deficient in some basic engineering features compounded further by their shallow offerings for customer satisfaction. We did not proceed with the Extended Warranty they offered primarily due to its cost. Layered on top of that, the manner they addressed the above circumstance further discouraged us as I have strong reason to believe we would likely get the same run with any service calls. That, and reading other reviews, causes me to proceed ahead with fingers crossed on both hands. For their sake, I hope LG reviews these posted complaints as they are legitimate issues they should take some ownership of. I (and others) will have serious second thoughts about purchasing ANY of their products with an LG name plate.

Then I bought this LG refrigerator and the compressor failed in it. But I called LG and it was handled the best way it could’ve been handled. I was very impressed. And service tech came out and fixed it. He was very professional and very good. He put a new compressor in it and the difference is night and day. The refrigerator has been running great since then and they got a loyal LG customer now because of the way they handled the whole situation. They backed the product, so I don’t have a problem and I’ll buy another one. My wife even told me that I had to talk to somebody and tell them how the experience was and how well it was handled.

Starting this year the food has not been kept as cold and the defroster keeps failing to the point where the fan keeps rattling due to ice build up. Been dealing with the issue for months and still waiting for the issue to be resolved via a technician who says he is so inundated with LG refrigerator problems, he can barely keep up with the demand. He received several calls for appointments even while at my house working in my refrigerator. I’ve basically decided to continue try fixing this fridge and using it as a beat up back up fridge now in the garage. I will be looking into other reliable brands to replace the refrigerator inside the kitchen. I tried all of their troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. I didnt bother getting an extended warranty because of the trust and goodwill LG had earned with me over the years. Now I have to pay 80 dollars just to have a tech look at it, and even if the parts are covered I could be looking at hundreds more for labor. I waited my whole life to get a water/ice dispensing fridge (45 years) but could never afford one. When my old fridge died in 2016, it was at the same time my stepdad gave us 2000 grand as a gift. We used that money to buy this fridge during a Black Friday sale at Lowes. Not even 3 years later its dead and who knows how much it will cost to fix. Ive never been this disappointed since my Xbox 360 died but Microsoft made it right by sending a new console free of charge. I wonder if LG will be willing to do anything to rectify the situation. If not, I will never buy anything from them ever again, and will never stop being critical of their products and services.

First Id like to say that I am not a person often motivated to write reviews. I dont rush to review items that just meet my expectations. Youll only find a review from me if something is extremely worthwhile or, as in this case, seriously flawed. We purchased our brand new LG top-loading washing machine from Lowes in December 2013 for almost $700. For the first four months I was in love with it. Then I inadvertently pushed the stop button instead of the pause button when the load I was washing became unbalanced. Since the load had reached the Rinse stage, I thought Id just select the special option for Rinse/Spin. From that moment until just last week, Ive had nothing but trouble from it, related to being out of balance. After stopping it and restarting, the machine filled several times with water that almost overflowed the tub. I had to keep pausing and stopping it to keep it from continuing to fill. From then on, every load I washed had to be redistributed at least twice, most of them four, five, or six times.The straw that broke the camels back came when it took me all day to get one load close to being done. Before the final jingle, I would have to go to work and couldnt finish the load. The next morning I would come in to find the load soured and smelly, so I would start it all over. This went on for 14 days. Finally, Id had enough and called LGs customer service line. The CSR I talked to was condescending and snippy with me. I described the problem, only to be told that, either the installer didnt level the machine properly or SOMEONE (I wonder who she could be talking about?) had done something to the machine to cause it to be unbalanced. After I told her I wasnt stupid and actually did know she was referring to me, in a very rude manner she told me my issues were an installation problem and not covered under warranty. Then, she simply hung up on me. Since LG wouldnt help, I called the number for our extended warranty plan. Thank goodness we have that. The CSR there informed me that, if LG says it is an installation issue, then we wont cover it either. Maybe you should have Lowes come out and level it. My next call was to Lowes, still trusting that it might be, in fact, an installation issue. The original installer showed up in short order, level in hand, to prove that, not only is the machine leveled properly, our floor was absolutely level as well. He suggested that I go to the store and speak to the manager, which I did. Actually, I ended up speaking to an assistant manager, who with a sincere straight face, called the salesman up to the service counter and asked him to call the extended warranty plan for me. The salesman, who was the same man that sold us this machine, repeated what hed said to us when we bought the machine. This is the top rated washing machine in the country. We havent had any complaints at all about them. Can you guess...the machine continually being out of balance. Of all the negative reviews I had read during these two weeks, I only saw one where the controller board was mentioned. Apparently, no one at any point along the way wants the consumer to know that the machine has a KNOWN, WIDESPREAD, DOCUMENTED PROBLEM THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL. We only found out about the RECALL, because the service company, not wanting to waste their time on two service trips, called ahead to ask what issues we were having with the machine. As soon as my husband described our problems to them, their CSR told him about the RECALL. Said they would have to order the controller board and rescheduled the service call to a date after the part would be in. Their technician came to the service call with the controller board in hand, which apparently was already loaded with updated software. Since having this board installed, I have used my machine heavily all day for the past four days. The only out of balance error Ive seen was for a true out of balance condition where all my small load of clothes had ended up on one side of the tub. As long as this washer continues to operate the way it is now, Im happy to own it. To LG, Lowes, Lowes Extended Warranty and any other company who sells this product without letting their customers know about this issue and the RECALL, I can only say SHAME ON YOU! BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!! After being treated so dishonestly and shamefully by LG, I will never buy another LG product of any kind, even if I am told it is the top rated product in the country. LG obviously has no intention of standing behind their products when there is something wrong with them. Im also shocked and seriously disappointed with Lowes in whom Ive had so much trust over past years. Apparently their policy is one of loyalty to their manufacturers rather than their customers. Heres a clue, Lowes. Without customers you dont need manufacturers. Im afraid I wont be shopping at Lowes for anything any more. And all of these bad feelings and sentiments could have been avoided simply by being honest with me about the issue and upfront about the RECALL. To all of you consumers who have one of these washers with similar problems, call as soon as possible to wherever you bought it and tell them that you know about the RECALL. Tell them you want it fixed or you want them to come and pick it up. Exchange it for a machine from a company who will stand behind their product to keep it working and their customers happy. Most of all, lets all quit buying products made by companies who dont keep the promises they make to us. If no one buys their products, theyll either have to change their business practices or go under. As for LGs flawed washing machine, it is my intent with this review to alert anyone who owns one about the RECALL. Remember: RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL. Within an hour after the service people left and delivered, I noticed a dent in the refrigerator door. We then had multiple appointments. The guy came out twice and he didn’t have what he needed. Then we had more appointments that were cancelled. Finally, I had one that they cancelled and when I called the vendor that I had been dealing with, they told me that I had to refile my claim. I then got a hold of LG directly and I found out that the vendor had ordered in a wrong door and all this time, they never returned it, so LG never sent them a replacement. So the vendor kept scheduling an install and they expected me to have the door. The vendor was not knowledgeable at all.It took about nine months to get the refrigerator done. But I love it. My favorite feature is that little extra door on it, but the shelving is not adjustable enough. I can’t get them on the height I would like them. And on the dishwasher, the settings are not made for American dishes. It’s small in the rack and certain spaces, and not as flexible as my older one was and it seems to not hold as many dishes, either.

They even offered me an extension warranty that I DID not take... It is only two months old, and in order for the technician to come before they inspected the washer and fixed it, I had to come up with $145.What a rip-off. I asked for a manager, and he said the same thing, blaming me for choosing to stack the machines one on top of the other one. They talked nonsense. I am in line with the numerous reviews I read concerning the quality of LGs product, specifically the model WT1101CW washing machine. Mine rarely completes a load, of any type, without giving the ue or UE error codes. And the machine programming is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. For example, when it finally does get to spinning good, it will stop only to restart so it can screw up. Maybe it is intentional. You cant rely on the machine to complete a load. You HAVE to babysit it and restart it up to several times for each load. It takes so much more time, energy and water than the old school machines. Why are they allowed to bill it as high efficiency or energy efficient? I have talked to LG many times about this and did everything I was supposed to do from checking machine level to letting AE claims technician come here because LG said it needed a software update to lame advice like using low spin speed. The bottom line is LGs product, customer service, and technical support are of the poorest quality. I will never purchase another LG product and I definitely will discourage anybody I hear of that is shopping for appliances or any product that LG makes.

The compressor began failing last November, and since January, we’ve had repairmen in our home four times and are scheduled for a fifth visit next week. The first company they sent out spent over a week replacing the compressor, only to have it fail within a couple of days. When they returned a few days later, they spent an entire day repairing the issue, and claimed it was the most difficult repair they’ve had to attempt. We were without a functioning fridge for three weeks while we waited for appointments and replacement parts. The fix lasted a short time before failing again and this time it’s been a comedy of errors getting anyone to even look at it. LG tells us to call Home Depot/Asurion, HD/Asurion says its LG’s problem. LG sends a repairman from Sears who says it can’t be repaired and he’ll let LG know, a week later HD calls to see if we’re happy with the resolution. I explain there’s been no resolution, and am promised a phone call from LG within 48 hours. ... Four days go by, we can’t get ahold of anyone. We have to threaten legal action to get a return call, which essentially puts the onus on LG. Asurion explains that LG has taken over the process that our protection plan normally handled and basically they can only ask us if our issue was resolved. At this point we’re offered a loaner fridge, but none is unavailable, so we’re sent a $100 gift card toward the purchase of a mini fridge. I’m desperate for any kind of refrigeration in my kitchen, so we go to Home Depot, only to discover they don’t sell any mini fridge for less than $120. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I shouldn’t have to spend any more money. We’ve lost hundreds of dollars in food, hours of time on prepared meals, etc.) After the first failure, I’ve been afraid to put our bulk meat in the freezer, rightly so, because I’m afraid the fridge will fail again. So Last week we had a fourth visit from a repair tech, who said our fridge can’t be repaired, and because we’ve been told by LG that the repair tech must call them directly, we asked him to make the call in our presence. He spent 30 minutes on hold before being disconnected, and my husband spent 90 minutes on hold before he gave up. LG repeatedly claims they aren’t getting any information from Asurion or their repairmen. Our claim rep from Asurion returned my call the following day and conferenced in a rep from LG, who basically said he couldn’t help me before transferring me to someone from ‘executive services’ who reviewed my case, said she was sorry, and scheduled another repair visit. She described the convoluted process that needs to occur before they’ll replace my fridge, but wouldn’t give me any of the phone numbers that Sears needs to call, and Sears has no idea what we’re talking about when we tell them they need to call LG (although so far they’ve been willing to accommodate us). We’ll see what happens on Monday when repairman #5 shows up. Every repair guy we’ve spoken to says all they do all day is go around and evaluate failed LG compressors. We finally broke down and purchased a new refrigerator in the meantime, and the sales associate also said he always discourages people from purchasing LGs because everyone he’s sold in the last 4 years has failed and LG is terrible about replacing them. So, to sum up, LG sells garbage, doesn’t care, and won’t help when they can’t be repaired. And so far, the Home Depot protection plan hasn’t done much to protect my purchase. This has been a nightmare and if I could afford to write off the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on a trash fridge and wasted food, I would do it, because LG is killing my sanity.

The techy comes in my house and proceeds to tell my wife that I need to remove a set of cabinets or cut vent holes in the one above the fridge, because according to him the fridge gets too hot and causes the compressor to fail. Crazy huh, so according to the owner’s manual, it states 1 on each side, 2 top and 3-4 on the back for proper ventilation, which I have. I designed my kitchen with this fridge in mind, so anyway I get home from work and the service guy is informing me that he does not have the right tools to diagnose my fridge. He said I need to set up another service call and he would get the right tools ordered, and he left. I have to say I was not happy about it. I argued with Lowe’s for the next 2 weeks trying to get a replacement, and Lowe’s could not do anything because of the warranty, so I call LG again and they will not replace it without a proper diagnosis. So it took another 2 weeks and multiple phone calls not only to Lowe’s but to LG as well to get this fridge diagnosed, come to find out the compressor went out after 90 days, didnt cost me anything but 2 day’s worth of wages and 400 dollar’s worth of food.

The freezer also started to form ice which we do not like one bit but we consider it a minor thing. It has not broken down so were kind of happy with that. The light indicator became an issue back then as it was not working as it should have, but we made a minor tweak in the wiring so that its back up running good again. I wouldnt say we are particularly careful with our appliances but this fridge has managed to make it through up to this day which is very much fine. It looks like we did not make a mistake in choosing an LG product. I expect it to last another decade or so, which is how it should be with stuff like this. If it does, I will write an update on this review ten years from now and will give a 5-star rating.

Im not disparaging anyone here with mold issues but these suggestions fixed my issue which was minor in comparison.Clean out the filter at the bottom of the machine; then run a clean cycle with a cup of vinegar. Pour it into the dispenser for detergent, not the bleach dispenser. When the cycle is done, re-clean the filter and wipe out interior with vinegar. Get out the goop manually. Remove the dispenser drawer and wipe out the entire compartment with vinegar. Allow to air dry overnight leaving out the drawer. Replace the drawer and run a rinse to remove the vinegar. Quit using fabric softener or dryer sheets and switch to an unscented powder detergent. You need to be able to smell the machine. Use 2 tbsp. per load for moderate water, 1 if your water is soft. Adjust up or down as needed from there. Fill the softener compartment with white vinegar. Run an extra rinse on every load to work on the buildup. If you are using scented detergent and its still strong-smelling after the cycle, it isnt rinsing out. To monitor rinsing, add a gallon of water through dispenser drawer during rinse cycle, or more if needed, to see water. If detergent isnt rinsing out, either the oil or dirt is in your clothes. Do this for a month or so as every load of clothes will be reintroducing mold to your machine. Fabric softener is made from animal fat and will get rancid and breed mold. It also leaves fatty, greasy residue on your clothes that detergent must cut through. Detergents are alkaline so the mold in your washer needs that environment. The vinegar is a mild acid. Once your washer is back to normal and you have detergent dosage worked out, use a max of a tbsp. of softener or mix softener (50/50) with vinegar. The clean cycle on your washer is for maintenance. It isnt designed to eradicate a major problem. It took awhile for the machine to get in such bad shape and it will take time to fix it.

Ive had this unit for about 15 years and am planning on upgrading to convection/microwave. But only because Id like convection too, its a great unit and has never let me down. It is an LG Intellowave Sensor, and has extremely useful settings for both cooking and defrosting.

It then developed a leak and need a new gasket which was provided by LG under their One Price service (about $280, I recall). Last month it developed a further leak. My wife read the manual and looked for possible causes. She cleaned out the soap dispenser - this resulted in a flood when we turned the machine on.We called LG - we were no longer eligible for their full price service. They despatched a local company, European Appliance Repair. They charged $300 Canadian plus tax (extra because they needed two men for a stacked unit). My wife told them the full story - an initial leak, and then a flood. They replaced a small part. The next day there was a small leak - we were unsure if there was residue from the flood, but immediately contacted LG. We said we would wait a few days to see if the leak persisted. It became evident that it would occur on the spin cycle whenever there was a full load. We rang up and made an appointment for June 22nd. The appointment was then postponed to the 23rd in a message received on June 16.On June 19 at close of business we got a message saying our appointment was cancelled or postponed. It was impossible to get clarification till the new week began. On June 21 at 9.00 we rang and were informed that someone would come that day, and that the cancellation message was an error. However, nobody could come that day, because European Appliance Repair did not recall they had to send two people out. An appointment was made for 3 to 5 on the 23rd, but the same two repairmen appeared at 8 p.m. They announced after 35 minutes that we would need a gasket. We would have to pay for the part and additional labour. They denied that we had told them that we had a leak before my wife cleaned the soap dispenser. We have no idea whether they did not hear what my wife had said or were telling an untruth.It was clear to us that they were in a hurry on both occasions, probably overworked because of the pandemic. We noted that a gasket had been replaced the previous year. Gaskets, we were told, could never be guaranteed because customers often put sharp objects in machines. We spoke to an LG rep. on the phone. He insisted that no further charge would be levied, and that, if we did not get satisfaction, LG would give us an allowance toward a new machine. Two days later we spoke to a woman at European Appliance Repair. They proposed to treat the repair as a separate problem and charge 250 labor plus tax plus the cost of the part (plus, of course, $620 Canadian we had paid for April, 2019 and May, 2020 leaks). They had clearly heard nothing from LG.After this we spoke with three LG reps. (we had difficulty communicating with the first two). The third person with whom we spoke said that a gasket would not normally tear because a few coins had gone through the machine (we do not keep sharp objects in our pockets). Furthermore, he agreed to escalate the issue and get back to us the next day. He warned that the replacement model that succeeded ours might not be stackable with the old dryer, should we decide on replacement by LG. We do not have room to house the units in another way.Naturally enough, nobody from LG did get back to us in 24 hours about our “escalated issue. Today we decided to buy a stackable set made by another manufacturer. We are surrendering a perfectly good dryer - but there appears to be no alternative. On the basis of this experience I would not advise anybody to buy an LG washer or dryer, unless you expect to replace your machine every six years, and to be particularly careful when selecting stackable units.

Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

A stuck on piece of rice being scraped off by the razor provided with the range caused a chip in the glass. The rice and a piece of glass top came off together. LG states this is not covered under warranty and will not repair. Cleaning a stuck on piece of anything should not cause a piece of glass to come off with it. I bought 3 LG appliances at the same time and I will not buy again. I have had a glass cooktop range before. Cleaned it several times the same way never a problem. This range was over $1000. That glass top should be bulletproof as far as I’m concerned.

You gotta turn it in and cant repair it. It had something to do on the inside of the refrigerator that was causing the ice maker not to work, and you couldn’t get to it as it was sealed. I don’t have the LG refrigerator any longer. People came and got it and were waiting for a check. It has been a month and a half, then I called this morning and the check is going out on Monday. We paid 1,500 for it and were getting 1,200 back. Somebody has to deal with that program. They made a unit like that to where if it doesn’t work, they gotta replace it then send out a check for $1,200. That’s not too good of a way to run a business. If they keep something that works, we would have stuck it out if it was something as simple as replacing an ice maker. Excluding the ice maker, we loved the LG refrigerator. It was great.

Updated 08/15/2019: I posted my original review of my LG refrigerator, but wanted to correct the model number. It is a Model LMXS30746S/00 instead of Model LMXS30776S. My wife ordered the latter originally, but it was on backorder (From LG, no surprise, right!). After waiting over a month for it to arrive, my wife decided to go with the LMXS30746S/00 instead. We received this refrigerator January 9, 2015. -As of August 15, 2019, I still have a non-working refrigerator, with a defective linear compressor. My original review of my refrigerator was on July 2, 2019. LG responded in writing, and other than a few phone conversations, of the which most were initiated by me, that is pretty much all this company has done to date. -On July 10, 2019, LG informed me that a technician was scheduled to look at my unit July 18, 2019. No technician, no courtesy call, no surprise. At the end of the day (still July 18th), I notified LG, and on July 30, 2019, they informed me that they were considering an alternate resolution. At that point, LG requested proof of purchase, which was provided a few days afterwards. LG responded August 5, 2019, and said my case was escalated to their Return Authorizations Department and informed me that instead of awaiting repair, they were going to go the alternate resolution route. LG informed me that someone should contact me from the Return Authorization Department within 4 business days. -On August 8, 2019, I received a call from a family member to inform me that a representative from A&E, LGs repair group, had contacted her about the refrigerator. I placed a call to A&E to no avail. I then called the Return Authorization Department. I was informed that they were still awaiting approval for the alternate resolution. She had no idea why anyone from A&E was trying to reach me. -Later on August 8, 2019, I received a call from LG informing me that a technician was scheduled to come look at my refrigerator on August 9, 2019. I was told this was a necessary step in the alternate resolution process. -August 9th came and went, and once again, no technician showed, no technician called. We did get a text of from A&E this same evening stating our appointment was rescheduled for August 19, 2019. No apology or explanation for the missed appointment though.-On Monday, August 12, 2019, I called LGs Return Authorization Department. I informed the representative about the missed appointment. She informed me that my case was still awaiting approval. The person responsible for making such decisions was away from the office, so she left a note and said she would get back with me to provide an update. As of 3:00 PM, I am in a holding pattern awaiting that call. Most likely, I will end up calling LG back. Original review 07/02/2019: I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in 2014. In 2017, it stopped cooling, due to a noisy/failed Linear Compressor. Trying to hold LG up to their 10 Year Sealed System Warranty, which includes the compressor was/is a joke. I dont recall ever wasting as much time and getting the runaround on any product I ever purchased. I was first told that LG was going to take care of my issue, including labor, at no charge. I was given the name and phone number of the company that was to perform the work. After going a few weeks with no contact from this company, I called them. It was listed as a computer repair business, and all I ever got was an answering machine. I contacted LG again several times, expressing my dissatisfaction with the whole issue and the delay in having my issue resolved. Someone finally sent me a list of 5 repair companies and told me to reach out and choose one to repair the fridge. Well, I called 3 of the numbers, reached a voice mail for one, and spoke to representatives at two of the others. In both cases, the persons I spoke to said that they were not trained or authorized to work on LG Sealed Systems. At this point, I was really ticked off. How can a company that on the outside appear so great, be so badly run. Not only did I have a product that was worthless in its present state, but in the process of getting it repaired, find that this company doesnt even know who is authorized to make necessary repairs. I contacted the Marylands Attorney Generals Office to see if they could help me. They sent a few letters to LG, and LG responded, saying that they offered to supply a replacement compressor (which were drastically back-ordered due to their high failure rate), but that I did not accept their offer. LG said nothing about covering the labor for replacing said compressor as they said they would do at the beginning of my ordeal. Marylands Attorney Generals Office said my only recourse would be small claims court. Well, I thought I was ticked off before, but I discovered that I had another gear. I contacted LG once again, and expressed my frustration. I was finally connected to the group that handles technical issues. When I told the person where the refrigerator was, he told me LG did not have anyone nearby whom could fix it. I asked, how can LG put a warranty on something, knowing full well they did not have personnel who could make necessary repairs. The person told me that LG had personnel available to make warranty repairs on items, including appliances, just not in cases like mine.The LG refrigerator is in my garage, taking up space, at least until I build up enough energy to figure out what I am going to do with it. Through this whole ordeal, I have developed a disdain for The LG brand. I am not sure if this compressor issue, which has affected thousands of LG refrigerators, is being mishandled at the direction of upper management at the risk of cutting into profits, or if employees interfacing with customers like myself, are not following LGs we care for our customers slogan. LG - Life is Good, when you can treat people so bad and still rake in profits.

I call customer service back and they tell me its user error, that I am leaving the door open too long or not shutting it correctly. They will send a tech out for $125. So I tell the guy its not user error and he tells me then I need to manually defrost. I tell him I have never heard of such a thing for a fridge in 2021 needing to be defrosted every two months. So ask him, Are you telling me I have to defrost this thing every two months? And he says, Thats not what I said. Yes..Thats what youre telling me. If the tech comes out here for $125 and finds it just needs to be manually defrosted then I will be charged for him to do what Im supposed to do every 2 months!!! So in other words this expensive piece of junk needs to be manually defrosted every two months. Worst purchase I have ever made and worst customer service. Save your money and buy another brand because they do not stand behind their products at all. Now Ill have to buy another fridge and have this carted off as scrap metal because I cant sell it to another person knowing it is defective...Im not LG.

Now they are asking me to wait 3-5 more days to get a call to schedule an in-home visit. Offered to send picture of parts and how tempered glass shelf is too long. No, once the order was put in process by supervisor for technician there is nothing else to do but wait.ON ANOTHER NOTE: Im from Maine. Fridge purchased in Maine. Maine has Consumer Goods And Maine Express And Implied Warranty Laws. I do not know about other states, but is worth a look. In Maine regardless of what warranty the retailer or manufacturer gives, Maine law gives consumers a 4-year warranty and the Retailer is who is responsible and who you deal with, not the manufacturer. So when offered the 3-yr warranty, I say, No thanks, because Im covered by Maine Law for the 4 years.

I contacted LG customer services by email & got the following response back: The rust in your washing machine liquid bleach dispenser area is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive & will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately & the area cleaned with warm water & a soft cloth. Touch-up paint may be used to cover the area, if not service may be necessary.This is a bleach dispenser for petes sake & I dont spill bleach all over the area, just into the plastic opening where you are supposed to pour it. The rust has formed around & underneath the plastic cover, and I have cleaned the area on various occasions. I am not a happy camper having spent a lot of money purchasing a washer & dryer from LG. I thought I was going to get quality merchandise that would last for many years but unfortunately that is not the case. Very disappointed & wont be replacing any other kitchen appliances from this company.

Contacted LG, it took 16 days to get a technician out to diagnose, then 4 days to wait for a new Condenser. 2 weeks later the unit froze up again. Called LG whom sent out the same Technician the next day and he stated it was low on refrigerant. This is a sealed unit that was ice cold on the day of the first repair, but he stated it was not fully charged, so he charged it. Three weeks later the unit froze again. LG stated they would send the same Technician the next day for a third attempt, and that if it could not be resolved they would then replace the unit. I was told the appointment time would be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. but after having left work early my wife waited there all day for nothing. The technician never called or showed. At 6:05 p.m. I called LG who stated not to worry he would be there some time that night. At 8:15 he showed up. I was there for this visit. I am a 30 year GM Technician and hold both ASE, Robin Aire, IMACA and GM A/C certifications. I watched the technician hook a gauge to the unit and the readings with the unit on was 60psi on the low side. They do not use a high side. The needle never waivered, yet the evaporator was frozen as were the lines leading toward the compressor. He claimed that the evaporator must be clogged. I replied it had been professionally cleaned the first time it froze up in May even though it was only 5 months old. He was adamant the unit could not breathe, so we took the unit outside and with a flashlight removed the evaporator and flushed the unit with a hose and found no debris, no mold, no dirt, nothing restricting the cooling fins. The water was clear and went straight through front to back and top to bottom. This stumped and confused the technician who claimed he did not know what was wrong. We reinstalled the unit and turned it back on and watched it start to freeze again the exact same way. I stated that where the freeze point ended had to be the point of an internal restriction debris, etc. and he stated that it must be a free floating internal restriction but had no idea how to fix it. So he wrote a note saying the system was fully charged and cleaned and he found nothing wrong. I was left with an A/C unit that still does not cool and freezes up. I called LG today, they had previously told me that after three repair attempts they would replace the unit. However today, they stated they would send a different technician who could give a different opinion, then they would consider replacing the unit. I was extremely upset and was beside myself with anger. First I was lied to about the time of the appointment, then I was lied to about third time repair attempt and they would replace my unit. Now I am expected to lose more time at work to be there for another repair attempt when they have failed in the last three to make a repair. There must be another way to resolve this short of buying another unit. I have a three year replacement plan with Home Depot but it does not start until after the year is up and that is still 4 months away, and in the heat of Florida I will not last 4 months with out A/C. This is unacceptable and should not be the way a company treats their customers. I will never buy another LG product and will pursue this until I get some type of resolution, I am just not sure what or when that may be.

If you look at my original review of 10/3/19 and the companys final reply of 10/8/19 it appeared that LG intended to do nothing more than leave us holding the bag as it were. However, without further contacting us at all, LG contacted a nearby service center and sent a new door to them and arranged for our door to be replaced AT LGS EXPENSE. The service man said the old door was going to the dump, so I guess LG didnt need to trust but verify that it was a warranty issue after all. They finally decided to do the right thing. Our refrigerator again looks the way it should, but we should not have had to jump through so many hoops to get this corrected. I stand by my original review. I will not purchase LG in the future.

LG stackable washer/dryer, apartment size, high end - I thought! Two years later, a bunch of drywall have been replaced due to a bad washer install (Best Buy) and 5 visits later from the service team for the dryer, I am tired. No more LG anything ever. The dryer is so poorly designed (its the vent less model - dont buy one) that it takes a team of techs to pull the unit out of the area its in just to press a button to reset the thermostat. Its had three new computer boards in 2 years. The techs pulled the dryer all apart last visit and replaced the entire thermostat rather than just reset it. That was a couple of months ago and it just went south again today. It overheated then stopped dead. I am lucky I bought a service contract from Sears. They have been great, but I hope they just replace the unit soon. Its costing them a fortune to repair. Cheaply made appliances are keeping many techs employed these days it seems. LG? No, never again. And yes, their help desk was useless when I had the 1-year warranty. Now poor Sears has to come out and visit more often than I want them to come. I dont understand why any appliance store would stock items that repeatedly fail.

The washer is nearly two years old and so far has worked flawlessly. It is nearing the average lifespan of todays appliances so we shall see. Washes fine for a new machine. But, all the new water requirements and soap requirements make the new machines not as good as the old ones.
