Product Reviews:

I bought an LG French door Refer with Bottom freezer (model # LFX25960ST). Interior light stayed on, melting the plastic cover. I woke at 06:00AM on 11/19/2011 to the odor of burning plastic. I am a firefighter for 30 years, so I knew what I was smelling. It would not have been much longer before flames would have appeared. I have working smoke detectors in the house, so it may not have been tragic, with regard to loss of life, though the fire damage could have been very costly. After reading so many common instances, I will do my best to spread awareness, starting with the 3,000 active and retired members of the Fire Department I work for. I will be looking for information on recall, or class action suit. Refrigerator is stocked with Thanksgiving food, purchased yesterday. Now, I can not trust the food, and must repurchase. Luckily, I caught this when I woke up this morning. It would not have been long before this started a fire.

All my appliances are from LG like the microwave, washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. Everything was okay so I picked an LG refrigerator too. The experience with the product was good until it started to get some problem. The insurance company refunded the money for the refrigerator but I was without a refrigerator in my house for over a month. After this experience, I should get a Samsung because I dont wanna get another problem like that.

We purchased a LG TROMM Washer in Jan. 2007 (WM2487h*M) and we should have known better as we had to trade it out within the first few days of purchase because the water was filling up in the drum after the rinse cycle and the symbol FE was displayed. Luckily, Best Buy exchanged it for a new one without hesitation and it was almost as if they had already been down this path before with several customers. Fast forward less than five years later and the same thing has happened. We just spent $640 on repairs including a new water pump, a new water valve and a new memory board for this hunk of junk of a washer. In hindsight we should have just bought a new machine as the warranties had all expired. The guarantee for the new memory board is for two years supposedly, but we have yet to see paperwork from the registered LG repairman. Although he did state that the new memory board was registered with LG. I guess well just need to keep pressing them on this until we see something in writing.

I bought an LG True Steam Balance washer and dryer 2 years ago. Without a doubt, my 30 year old agitator washer and dryer in our house up north function much better. I purchased on the strength of Consumer Reports recommendation and because I thought the steam option would be useful. Consumer Reports really blew this one or else the report was written by some young person who considers wrinkles a fashion statement.EVERYTHING and I include towels, comes out so wrinkled that it requires touching up with an iron. I cannot WAIT to get rid of this washer and dryer; it makes life harder, not easier. I cant fault the cleaning; the clothes are cleaned just fine, but I believe that the washer spins with such ferocity that wrinkles are set into the clothes and no amount of tumbling, or taking them out of the dryer while damp, will eradicate the wrinkles.

I purchased my refrigerator in February 2017. On May 3, 2019, the refrigerator completely stopped working. A service technician replaced the compressor on May 7th. The refrigerator still would not cool. The service technician returned on May 16th and May 18th. The refrigerator NEVER cooled. Two more service appointments were scheduled. The service technician never showed for those last two appointments. Finally, on May 28, 2017, LG USA agreed to refund part of the purchase price. I have still not received the agreed upon amount. I would NEVER purchase another LG product nor recommend anyone I know to purchase a LG product!

If I only had read all the reviews on the LG refrigerators... I would have avoided all the aggravation and expense. I Bought an LG refrigerator 1yr ago. I had it serviced 3 times... Freezer leaked and fridge did not stay cool... Spoiled food, wet floor (accident waiting to happen if I hadnt notice the flood)... This is nothing you want to see when you walk into your house after 10 hrs of work... After $600 in repairs had to get rid of it... Just a waste of $1100 + repairs. To top it off, had to purchase a new fridge... Dont buy LG...

Purchased a very expensive LG washing machine. The leak had been ongoing for a couple of years and was caused by a very cheap neoprene gasket (20p to replace) behind the soap draw, this in turn leaked onto the main PCB at the bottom front left of the machine causing this board to fail with a loud bang. The reason why I am not going to buy an LG appliance again is two fold. Very well made appliance (mostly) yet a small cheap component failed after just 2 years which then lead to a major component failure with no real noticeable warning. Replacement parts are as expensive as a new cheaper machine. Customer services is diabolical I had to email the UK CEO just to get customer services to call me back and yes of course the problem was denied (despite many other cases on the internet) as a known fault. Conclusion buy 3 cheaper machines for the price of 1 LG......... SIMPLES. This is known by LG customer services yet they choose to deny its a known problem.

I purchased this microwave on Amazon a little over 2 years ago. The plastic tabs that hold the glass in place randomly broke one day while not even in use. LG does not care because the warranty is only for 1 year. They want to sell me a replacement door for $115 for a $250 microwave. There is no way the door costs this much. I refuse to buy anything else LG.

Never can I wash blacks one time. I will never get another LG and when I called about it, I was told I needed to call some other number. When I went back to the store, I was told, Oh ,you probably arent putting enough clothes in it. Very disappointed and really would like my money back.

Ive had my LX228968SB 26.8 cu ft 3 door french door for 4.5 years and it has maybe worked right for 1.5 years... Have had 3 service tickets and the compressor was just replaced 6 months ago and is out again and so I have been without a fridge now for over 2 weeks, during the hottest time of the year and Ill just say it, LG doesnt care. Working with LG customer service has literally been the worst experience Ive had with any company, EVER!!! I cannot even begin to explain on how bad and unhelpful they are or how many times Ive waited on hold only to get dropped (it literally just happened) or transferred and dropped. This is one of my favorites. When I called in several weeks ago to set up an appointment, they said that Id be contacted with 48 hours... Well, after 57 hours I reached back out and they told me since they couldnt find anyone to repair my fridge, they cancelled my appointment, when I asked them when they were going to tell me?.... Crickets. Then I tried to reschedule and they said they get 3-5 more days to do that, excuse me, what??? I am currently trying to get a refund on my fridge and hopefully some of the $1K worth of food I had to throw or give away... Fun fact; LG only does up to $300 and if you fill out one question wrong on their form it tells you that you arent eligible and it locks you out, awesome, right??? Bottom line, quality, at least on their refrigerators is awful (class action lawsuit out against them on their compressors) but customer service is even worse, NEVER buy LG or pray you never need to contact customer service.

My LG refrigerator started making a different sound about 3 months ago. Now, my LG refrigerators compressor died at 3.5 years old, with all of the contents spoiled and lost. Its been going on 2 weeks to get LGs attention on this matter. This is so un-American to have a refrigerator manufacturer NOT back up their product! Model LFXS27466S. My service technician is all ready to repair it, but processing the authorization letter from LG is stagnant. It appears that obstructing progress with excuses is common from LG, making consumers so frustrated that they give up.My refrigerator is not one of the 60 models mentioned in the class action lawsuit settlement regarding LGs refrigerator issues, but it suffered the same demise. Paul, my service technician mentioned that LGs faulty design causes undue and uneven pressures inside the split-coil system that ultimately ruins the compressor prematurely. $650 labor, $325 parts, $400 in lost/spoiled food from fridge and freezer. Still waiting for a repair. Very disappointed in LG refrigerators, their repair process and support.

I wipe this area off every time I use bleach. Called customer service and they told me that I must not be wiping the bleach off when I spill it. Updated on 11/29/2021: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Again, based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and any posted customer experience comments before purchasing any LG kitchen appliance. I made a post 2 months ago on the unreliable refrigerator I purchased and the lack of customer service from LG. Shortly after that post I got action, but it has turned out to be just lip service. I have provided everything LG requested to get a prorated reimbursement for the refrigerator. I have been told on several occasions the reimbursement is approved and the check has been mailed. To this date, 11/29/21, I still have not received the check and I still have an unreliable LG refrigerator. The “promises” of me receiving a reimbursement, which come from as high up of the “liaison of the president”, apparently are meaningless. Bottom line is if you are planning to purchase kitchen appliances please, please consider my situation in order to avoid hours and hours of wasted time and frustration as well as money if you go with LG.Original Review: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and the customer experience comments when something does not work like it should. We purchased the French door refrigerator in November 2019. We started having a problem with the freezer compartment getting too warm in April 2021. This is October 2, 2021 and the problem still exists. The customer service department scheduled repairs. Nine technicians from two different companies have worked on the refrigerator. Many components have been replaced including thermostats, rear cover panel and the mother board that controls everything. The problem revolves around the defrost cycle and the unit not being able to recover from defrosting. The compartment gets too warm, 41 degrees. The refrigerator compartment also gets to 41 degrees. Multiple times everything in the freezer has thawed and turned to liquid. Ice melts in the ice dispenser and runs on the floor. The issue has been escalated 4 times now. Three of those have been to the Defective Returns Department. They rejected the claim first due to “improper submission of the claim by their representative” and a second time because “the person handling the claim no longer works for the company”. I have emailed the President twice without a response even though his webpage says he will respond. My experience has been extremely poor and I still have a defective refrigerator. For $3,100 I expected a unit that would perform and last for a number of years. The company has no doubt spent near that amount of failed repair attempts. I’ve been told that my unit qualifies for either replacement or refund due to the number of repairs and due to the failure of the company to schedule repair within 14 days. This problem is a nightmare and has no resolution within sight. Life’s Not So Good with this kind of customer service and a company that does not stand behind its product. Buyer beware!

Washing Machine Model WT1101CW - There are several issues, the top being that the washer does a poor job of cleaning clothes. Ive had to soak white shirts in bleach to get out normal dirt. Ive had to wash clothes twice and three times to get them to even smell clean. I had a 20 year old Maytag prior to the LG and Im ready to get rid of this one after only having it 3 months. A second issue is that it leaves a full tray of water in the dispenser after the cycle is completed. I have to dump out the water every time. I called for service and they will not come out for that issue - stating that they only respond to technical issues and thats not technical. What??? Ive followed all of their instructions - and even called them 2 weeks after having the machine. No response from LG.

Fridge stopped cooling so we called LG on July 23. They made an appt for their service contractor Lake Appliance on Friday July 26. I called Lake to inquire if they had parts and they said they have typical parts on the truck. When they arrived, Lakes service technician checked and confirmed it wasnt working, and that they needed a part which wouldnt be there until the following Friday Aug 2. On Aug 2 he installed the part and did some other work to clear out the cooling system, but 24 hrs later it was not cooling at all. Room temperature. He said that they would need to get a new evaporator coil which would take a week, so we would need to wait until Monday Aug 12. I called Lake to see what could be done, they said there was nothing they could do -- they need the part and to get the technician scheduled. Called LG next day (Sat) to see what could be done, they said nothing could be done. I asked the LG rep for a manager and they said the manager was in a meeting and would call me back in about 45 minutes. I finally called them 2.5 hrs later (they never called) and was informed that there is no manager working that day at all, they only work Mon-Fri. I told them that was odd, that there is no supervisor working that day at all, because earlier they told me the manager would call me back. So, here we are on Mon Aug 12 and Lakes technician called in sick. So I need to wait until Fri Aug 16 now. 3-1/2 weeks without a fridge, and I am not convinced that replacing the evap coil will fix the problem. Extremely disappointed in LG and their service company. First LG fridge I have purchased and expected better.

I purchased LG front load machine in June 2012, since then I am very unhappy and not at all satisfied with the cleaning of the machine. I have many LG products at my home and had no bad experience with any of them but since the day I purchased the front load LG machine, I regret the decision of buying LG product. In the span of 2 years of purchase of machine, I have called customer services on several occasions for help and few of your technician have visited my place as well. I did whatever was advised to me by your technicians, I am still not satisfied with the cleaning and the machine functioning. My sister and mother are using the same model of machine and they are highly satisfied but when they came to my place and washed clothes in my machine, even they found a problem in my machine cleaning which your technicians are unable to find. I feel as if I have been sold a LG product with false promises which is classified as mis-selling. I think customer satisfaction should be the priority of every brand rather than selling products. I, as a customer, feel as if I have been cheated. I need my machine to be replaced or else I will make sure to take this matter further. Thanks.

I have not received any response from LG, and on reading similar reviews on the other brands I had contemplated, I would just be costing myself more money for the same issues, plus another installation fee since. I have been using LG brands for years and a very well known brand. Always changing the needs for the consumer, and all about making great and outstanding products. The refrigerator we purchased was a side by side, and I like how it was stainless and easy to clean. Also had the water and ice dispenser. Also kept everything cold and or frozen very well. Made veggies last a little longer in the crispers. The only thing I didnt like was there was not enough room in the side by side for the freezer section and the refrigerator got overcrowded at times. Update on 06/11/2020: It is now June 11th and there still is no resolve even though my original review states there is a resolution in process. It is true that LG reached out to me as shown below however, I responded to them and I have heard nothing back. As far as Im concerned, this reaching out with a form e-mail is just more of the same. If I could give LG zero stars I would.Original Review: I have a top of the line washer that is still under warranty that will not run. I called LG on 5/30 and it was determined by them someone needed to come to my home. I was assigned to a second rate authorized agent that operates out of his home. I called this agent on 6/2 because I never heard from them during the 24-48 business hour time frame. (It was at this point that I did some research on who they were and found bad reviews for them.) To make a very long story short I was promised on 6/2 that a reputable company I found would be assigned to me and it would be 24-48 hours before Id hear. I found this company on LGs website as an authorized service agent and when I called them directly, they informed me they were available to come out the next day if LG would assign it to them. As I said, LG promised this would be done. When I heard nothing, I called them once again on 6/4. I spoke with a very nice rep (her name was Jess) who transferred me to executive services and I was told by that lady that the company I requested had no availability. I informed her that I had been told they would be able to come out the following day if LG would assign it to them and this is what was supposed to be being done. When I asked her to hold for a minute, I placed a call to the company I requested and as I began leaving a message as to what I had been told by LG, the LG executive services lady hung up on me. She was able to hear me leaving this message as I was using a separate phone line. So, this morning I called the authorized agent and told them what I had been told (that they had no availability) and I was told that simply was not true. So, I called LG back and this time I was told by the authorized agent I spoke with didnt have an open contract with them and they couldnt be assigned to me. Finally, the truth! In other words, they didnt have a negotiated rate with LG, much like it is with HMO Insurance. At any rate, he contacted the authorized to see if they would agree to make my repair with just an order # and they agreed they would, however, LG has to send them the amount they are willing to pay and if the authorized agent agrees to it they will do the repair and if not, we are back to square one. So, they have till Monday (6/8) to get back with me however, they will only be contacting me if its a go. If not, I have to call them back and start all over. I have a feeling I will be calling them back to start at square one. LIFE certainly isnt GOOD! I purchased this machine based on Consumer Reports testing and we were just about to buy an LG Smart TV and soundbar because they also have a very high rating. But there is no way we are going to based solely on the fact that they have horrible customer service!

We traveled extensively during that one year and there were only two people in the house, so it was being used approx. every other day max, bringing it to maybe 100 wash cycles at the most and the motor went out? Home Depot could do nothing. LG corporate in Huntsville, AL would not even give a discount on the new motor which cost (back in 2008) around $275 plus labor. It still doesnt clean properly and Ive done all the maintenance they recommend. We even have a water softener system so it isnt the water. Ill never buy another LG product and I warn everyone who will listen (even strangers in Home Depot) not to buy LG products. Ill be happy to hear they are out of business.

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

I have had this LG FRENCH DOOR LFX31945ST refrigerator less than a year. It has been noisy since they delivered it but when I brought it up to the tech that had come back to replace the freezer door b/c of discoloration....he made it sound as though the compressors just make more noise in the new ones. So I thought, ok... I will give it some time... Well, as time went on, the noise got louder and louder. I can actually hear it buzzing and whining over my television in the Living Room (so many random noises off and on thru day, I couldnt possibly describe them all). So I call servicing dealer back and tell them still loud and seems to be constantly running. I also discovered while I was researching others complaints that there has been a problem with back wall icing up, so I looked and yes back wall completely iced over.Tech said he hadnt heard of any of these being problems, but Then he heard noise and saw ice. So he ordered new back panel, defrost control and module. When parts came in, he replaced everything. Less than 8 days later, still whining and other noises and now developed a bad smell/very bad smell that when fridge was opened would take over entire kitchen and living room area. By the time tech comes, the smell is not detectable b/c it dissipates over time, only to come back randomly. He denotes no problem found b/c noises werent as loud as they can be when he is here, even though I still think its louder than it s/b. At this point we are very frustrated to spend this kind of money and have so many problems is sickening. Problems continue and I call again, service comes out and back wall icing over again. Tech hears the loud noises (high pitch whine has become a constant, loud sounding fans and an occasional clunky sound) and the SMELL is back. Tech now has witnessed everything. He gets on phone w/ LG and he is told we must have introduced the smell. REALLY! I know we have not but we are advised to try charcoal like for a fish tank filter. I tell the tech that Im concerned b/c warranty is up in June and how do I know if he reorders everything hes replaced once that it wont continue to be a problem later. It had to be an inherent problem and what is LG gonna do about it. I feel they should extend warranty or give me replacement fridge. He did his best to tell LG that they need to do something more... Their solution is its fixable so they reorder everything again (back panel, defrost control and module main). I call customer service to voice my concerns and ask about extending warranty, to ensure this problem actually gets fixed. I am read some script that is obviously told to every customer and the Supervisor I spoke with was not nice. He had a nasty disposition and offered me no resolutions. He just made me angrier. So parts arrived and another tech comes to install the parts. It has been around 9 days and guess what? SMELL is back, noises are worse than they were before this last service call and ice is beginning to build up on the back wall again. So here we go again. I am going to call again, wait again to be notified morning of service call and given a 2-hr window of when they will be here (so I cant plan anything for that day b/c no specific time for service call). Another day wasted, more aggravation and I am fairly confident the problem wont be resolved. Instead I will be advised to purchase an additional warranty coverage since mine expires in June. I am not looking forward to complaining to customer service again b/c, well Ive seen how they treat customers and their philosophy is the customer is always a nuisance and they wont help me at all. So here we go, I will place call and waste another day. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this product, no matter how much you love the lighting, the door in door feature and the versatility of the shelves inside... Trust me - not worth the headache. Oh and not real stainless steel.

I too had purchased an LG top load washing machine and dryer combo model WT 5070cw. This is the second one in less than three yrs. We are having problems with wash cycles severe noise and spin cycle not draining clothes. Keeps filling up with water. Constant UE reading and it spins way too fast. Had been on the phone with LG company several times. Finally got them to send a repairman out to fix it. A week later still not fixed, they are saying warranty ran out. Got back on phone with LG, got a lady I dont understand no English, promised me a callback, ya right that will happen. I do the calling not them, so I have contacted US CONSUMER PRODUCTS SAFETY COMMISSION, AND GENERAL ATTORNEY. Im sick of all the promises. I want something done, I think this product should be recalled, and LG should be responsible enough to claim their problem. I will not throw away $2,859.78.

I seldom, if ever, write complaint letters. However, this washer has been the worst purchase I have ever made. I absolutely HATE this machine. I thought I was purchasing a high-end washer and its a piece of JUNK. There is never enough water even though I always select more water with each load. The clothes arent even fully emerged! Stains remain, the clothes appear dingy, and after the load is complete, all the clothes are twisted together in knots. I have to separately untangle each piece in the load before placing in the dryer. No agitator in the top loader, insufficient water, spin speed ties clothes in knots. You should see my king size sheets. Its been a nightmare since day one. AVOID this machine like the plague. Im getting a replacement ASAP.

From day one, our 1+ year old LG WF487OCW top loading washer has stopped mid cycle with the UE error message. The start cycle that assesses the load size is a joke. It fails most often when I try to do a delicate cycle with a small load. I might have to rearrange that load 2-3 times or more to complete a cycle. But it can happen with any size load. With my laundry in the basement, I can never assume that the load I put in is done. Very frustrating to have to repeatedly rearrange the load. The machine will actually go into a violent series of moves before stopping. Washing machines typically last us many years. After reading other reviews, we find ourselves wishing that we had picked another brand. We actually chose this one based on good reviews from Consumer Reports! Sounds like we would only be facing additional frustrations if we tried to reach LG for customer service.

So then the phone calls finally staying home from work for a service repair who takes an hour to assess the range and then he needs to order the part and have it sent and then then set up another appt. but it worked. So I cleaned the lower oven 6 weeks later and the control panel shorts out again. Service is coming so well do the same thing all over again. Why have a self-cleaning oven when every time you use it, the control panel burns itself out? Is it faulty insulation?

I bought a washer and dryer, one on top of the other one, with stacking kit offered by LG. It is even in the manual as an option for the customer from Home Depot. The washer is leaking from the bottom when it was two months old... I cant believe a brand new machine is not working right in only two months. How can I be sure when they delivered this washer at my house that it was brand new? I am very suspicious with how Home Depot and LG do business. I have this one year warranty offer by LG. Well, it is not like that. I called for service and first of all, they dont have their own technicians. They hire subcontractors who really dont know what they are doing, thats why so many stupid people, instead of fixing, were messing the machines up.On top of it all, this subcontractor wanted to charge me $145 to put the dryer on the floor in order for them to inspect the washer, which is at the bottom. I called Home Depot and I DID not get any help from them, either. When I bought these machines, they told me it was covered and I didnt have to pay anything if it breaks under the 1-year warranty. They even offered me an extension warranty that I DID not take... It is only two months old, and in order for the technician to come before they inspected the washer and fixed it, I had to come up with $145.What a rip-off. I asked for a manager, and he said the same thing, blaming me for choosing to stack the machines one on top of the other one. They talked nonsense. I wanted to return it to Home Depot...They didnt take it. And they cant even exchange it. I paid for the installation, as well, but it is for nothing that I spent almost $2,000 for these ** LG machines...I will never ever buy LG products. They really suck and it is all a **.

I purchased an LG Dishwasher model number LDF7811WW for $610.00. From day 1, the thing never really cleaned our dishes (we also rinse them before putting them in the dishwasher too). This is our timeline with this lovely dishwasher: purchased it on 4-27-08. It wasn’t cleaning dishes, so on 3-26-09, I called there repair number. A guy came out and adjusted the cam for the upper and lower spray arms. It was still not cleaning dishes. I called the repair number again on 5-18-09. A serviceman came out again, had to replace the motor. On 3-22-10, it was having problems again not cleaning dishes. I called their repair number and a guy came out. He had to replace the sump assembly (which he said was the guts of the dishwasher). On 7-25-11, I had to call yet again. The dishwasher was not cleaning dishes. I called their number, he again had to replace the sump assembly (the guts of the dishwasher) and now it is 11 -2-12, I’m having trouble again. So within 4 years, I have had the major components of the dishwasher replaced 3 times and I’m sure it’s going to be the fourth when the guy comes again later this week. I called customer service for LG and they pass the buck and say it is up to my extended warranty people, which thank God we purchased (because we usually don’t). They say that the part has to go bad 3 times within a year to be considered for the lemon law. Well, if you ask me this is a lemon. I should have kept my 20-year-old Whirlpool dishwasher which I never had a problem with but just was updating the kitchen so we replaced it. Big mistake! In my opinion, this is not standing behind their product. I’m sure, to them people $610.00 is nothing, but in this household, it is very hard to come by and I want to get what I paid for. I could have bought lemons much cheaper at the grocery store. Buyers beware.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

Bought my fridge in June of 2014, the freezer stopped working in July or August of 2014. We have had repairmen visit almost weekly for 3 months. Now both the fridge and freezer dont work and I have paid LG service $225 out of pocket to waste my time. When I call, customer service representatives scold me because my fridge is out of warranty and they often disconnect me. The technician told me that a specialist has to deem the fridge not repairable and when I call to ask for a specialist, customer service tells me that all technicians are specialists. They are great at giving the runaround. Customer Service told me I should consider hiring a 3rd party vendor for repair service (and pay them too). I was provided 2 vendor phone numbers. Thats LGs way of saying we stole your money, stop bothering us. LG only sends repair confirmations if you schedule an appointment online. They hide records of follow up visits and there are no records of repair visits scheduled by phone. This makes it difficult to seek recourse through the small claims process which is the intent of withholding documentation.

We too made the mistake of purchasing an LG front loading washer and dryer
We too made the mistake of purchasing an LG front loading washer and dryer from Best Buy. After just 15 months, the circuit board on the dryer went out. The technician that came out told us it was probably because of the vibrations from the washer which the dryer was stacked on top of. The salesperson at Home Depot, who sold us the stacking package, never indicated that this could create a problem. Lucky for us that when I called LG, they agreed to extend our warranty enough to cover the bad circuit board. They would not refund the $85 I spent having a technician come to my house to diagnose the original problem. I have read a lot of complaints about LG washers and dryers and I cannot believe that no consumer groups or the consumer protection agency of our government have not jumped all over this. A dryer used under normal conditions should work for years without any of the types of major problems that are being noted all over the internet. I, for one, will never buy an appliance from Best Buy nor another LG appliance.

Three months ago I moved into a home with newer LG appliances. Recently, the freezer and refrigerator stopped keeping the food frozen or even cold. This was on Friday evening, so I searched online for possible solutions. I found a YouTube video of someone with the same fridge as I who had the same problem and he solved it by unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in. We did that, but it did not get colder. On Saturday I called the 1-800 number listed in the Smart Diagnosis section of the manual, hoping for this to tell me what was wrong and get it repaired quickly. The employee who answered the phone said they did not have the software to do this. He could send out a technician, but nobody would be available until after the weekend. I had to take the day off work to stay at home, waiting, only to be told that the technician didnt have a new compressor with him. He said he would order one, and although it would be here the next day, the technician didnt have the availability to come back until three days later. By this time, we had to throw away literally everything in both the fridge and freezer. Hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention all of the money spent having to eat at restaurants because of the spoiled food.Another day off work and the technician was able to replace the compressor. Thankfully it was still under warranty. He told us to wait until the next day to fill it with anything that needs to be cold as to ensure it is working correctly. He said that he hadnt had a replaced compressor fail yet. We waited 48 hours before we went back to the grocery store to fully replace what we had lost. That was yesterday.Today, I noticed the ice melting and dripping through the dispenser. I call the 1-800 number yet again, and am told, yet again, that Smart Diagnosis is unable to be used because of the lack of software. Unfortunately this time the employee says that she is unable to schedule a technician to visit because that is unavailable to her. When asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there wasnt anyone available, but someone from the corporate office would contact me within 72 hours. 72 hours? No supervisor or manager available for simple customer service? UNACCEPTABLE!! This appliance needs to be replaced, not bandaged with defective parts. Parts fail, I understand that, but the level of customer service from LG has me unwilling to ever buy another LG appliance.

We bought an LG washer and dryer in March of 2014 from Lowes. Fortunate for us, we bought the extended warranty. In that time until now both machines have been serviced by at least 5 different visits. The washer is the main culprit. It will not complete an entire wash cycle without errors or not washing them at all. The technicians who come and repair them stated these machines are the worst to repair. They really could not find a certain problem but continue to throw parts at them. The dryer would not heat or dry clothes but seems to be doing better for now. The washer decided to give us a new code last night when it it began to quit yet again, OE. Reading online this is an error with pump malfunction, kinked drain tube or filter. Now after checking tube and drain, neither is clogged, but now the washer will not drain and has foul smelling water in it. At this point we are done with these machines. We are going to look for a new washer today, preferably with manual controls. We will keep the dryer until it breaks again, which is likely. These machines being a little over two years old should not be breaking down so often. I will not buy another, ever again, and warning others to do the same. The warranty is almost up and rather having to sit around all day on the appointment day waiting for a technician arrive, we will just take the loss and get another washer. I purchased my 4-door LG Refrigerator for nearly $3000 in June 2016. Within one week, the lovely in-door icemaker jammed. I had to remove the icemaker and stick my fingers into the hopper to clear a frozen chunk of several ice cubes all melted together. I called LG in July when it continued jamming several times a week - sometimes numerous times a day!!! I was told to be sure the temp was set correctly and the fridge was level. I did all these things, but it continued jamming all summer long.Since August 2016, I have spent hundreds of hours on the phone - one service company (A & E Factory Repair) came out and their solution was to put Vaseline around the sealer surrounding the icemaker and door. I am now calling every few days, put on hold or disconnected, and am getting ZERO help from the Executive Support team in Alabama. First, the product is clearly DEFECTIVE and no one seems to care enough to make this their personal mission to get repaired.Heres who has taken my call and promised to call back with a Service Appointment: July-August 2016 Called LG Service numerous times in July and August: 1-800-243-0000 and complained about icemaker jamming and dripping. 9/22 - called Customer service who would schedule service and call me back. Never heard back. 11/11 - called again to inquire about service and was told Id hear back. 11/26 - Noel in Manila assigned me Case **, which was given to Cape Fear. 12/5 - I called Cape Fear to inquire the service date and was told they cant come until 12/16 - but I am out of town that whole week. So Tamika in Huntsville ALA got a service company to come 12/14. 12/8 - Pauline in Manila said she could not help as there are only two repair shops and the second one (AppTech - 910-358-8456) said they dont come to my town. They are four hours away.12/14 - Vaseline applied by A&E Appliance Repair - two days later the icemaker jammed and remained jammed until 12/23 when I returned home. 12/30 - Spoke with Russ in Manila - cant get me a repair auth until he reaches Cape Fear Appliance Service although Russ kept trying to call them for over an hour while I was on hold. I finally called Cape Fear and listened to the recording (they were closed for the holiday) and told Russ they were closed. Called again and asked to speak to US - got Brenda in ALA. Executive Supervisor Dept. She promised to personally deal with the problem but never called me back.1/17/2017 - Tori in ALA said Brendas manager on 1/6 found an appt for 1/20 with Cape Fear Appliance, but that manager never called me and gave me the choice - he just figured it was too long to wait so he did nothing - was trying to find quicker service. Tori was checking on progress and while on hold I was disconnected. Tori never called back.1/23 - Willy in ALA said the Locator Dept is trying to get speedier service (I explained the 1/20 service call would now be great) - Willi promised to call me back by Tues 1/24 - as Locator Team might take a few days to locate repair service. 1/25 Willi never called me back and I spoke with Mark - ext. ** in ALA. She insisted she was not Willi nor Tori and would INDEED call me back the SAME DAY. She never called back either. 1/30 (TODAY) Tish spoke with Mary who is in the same department. She spent over 20 minutes reading back to me all the notes of my customer service contact and she apologized profusely but assures me SOMEONE from LOCATOR will call me back.LIARS and CHEATS - and the ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN DECADES! You decide!! Is a really great refrigerator worth this type of headache! BTW - my icemaker is dripping melted water all down my beautiful Black stainless steel front and it now looks terrible on top of STILL not having a reliable working icemaker! Worst decision about buying from Home Depot.

I purchased my LG Steam Washer and Dryer on 11/26/10 from Home Depot. Thankfully, I purchased a 4 year extended warranty. Now a little over a year later, my dryer all of the sudden stops heating. I made a phone call to Home Depot on March 23rd and they contracted the work out to Appliance Solutions of Utah. When they came to do repairs, they said the dryer needed a new thermostat, the part needed to be ordered and they would be back in 3 days to do the repair. Two weeks go by and never heard from the repair guy and he never showed up on the day he said he would (I took the day off work so I could make sure I was here). Finally after 3 weeks, he showed up claiming they got sent the wrong part he replaced the thermostat and was on his way. Five days later (3/28/12), the heating on my dryer went out. I once again called Home Depot. They got the same company out. The very next day, the guy replaces the same part, the thermostat and then tells me that there is nothing wrong with the dryer. He said that I need to get my ducts cleaned out and that I can just use my dryer unhooked from the wall until I get that done. I used my dryer unhooked from the wall and once again, a week later, the heating goes out on the dryer. So, I gave Home Depot a call. Three days later, the same company shows up. Now hes claiming my dryer is out because its not hooked up to the wall but he needs to order a new thermostat again so it can once again get replaced. The repair man said he would be back in 3 days. Over two weeks have passed since he said that, I havent even received a call from the company and he just left my dryer in pieces in my laundry room. I can barely get in there. I am completely fed up with this worthless dryer, Home Depot, and Appliance Solutions of Utah. I dont think LG should be able to get away with selling these fraudulent dryers to people anymore and apparently no one knows how to repair the dumb things so they dont continue to have these problems.

Put food in microwave, pressed the EZ ON BUTTON which will heat food for 30 seconds. The microwave started for about 1 second and then immediately just died. After about a minute it powered on was asking for the clock setting. It acted like it does when the power goes out. This microwave did this one time yesterday also. I entered and set the clock time and then input 1 minute time and, almost as soon as I pressed the start button, the microwave died again only this time it did not revive. It appears to be completely dead and is only about 16 months old (purchased October 2014). This is the first LG appliance I have ever owned and likely will be the last. I paid good money for this appliance and wish I hadnt thrown out the old one. It was rusted some inside but had been working for almost 20 years!! This stainless microwave model number(s) listed on instruction booklet: LCRT2010ST, LSRM2010ST. So very disappointed. Made in China. Maybe thats why.

I purchased our LG smart washer dryer combo from Home Depot 14 months ago. For the first year it worked like a charm. Once it was paid off, the nightmare began. I have called the horrible customer service in the Philippines only to hear a repeated script. I have had my home warranty company come out twice. The only way for me to wash our clothes is to confuse our washer into thinking that the load is large. I put in 2 buckets of water on top of towels. I have ruined so many of my clothes in the twisted rope like fashion that I could cry. It takes me 1.5 hours to wash 2 pairs of jeans and a few shirts. The dryer is also Lousy Garbage. It over dries and shrinks our clothes, those that make it out alive from the washer never dry at all and are very wrinkled. And then there is the smell... The technicians say this is how they are suppose to work. There is no energy saving in taking all day to do a household of threes laundry. There is nothing smart about these machines... Be smart stay away...

I bought an LG gas range in 2008! From the beginning, I have had nothing but problems with it. To get anything done about it, you have to spend hours on the phone and literally fight for something to be taken care of. Now, in 2013, I have peeling knobs on the range. The plastic on the stainless steel knobs is warped, cracked and coming off. My goal for a stainless range was to look nice and professional; now it looks **! I called thinking they would help me. Guess what? Nope! They will do nothing, but they will sell me new knobs at about $70 a pop. Yes, for one knob! Can you believe the insanity and the nerve? We own a restaurant, and I can get a commercial knob for my range for $10. This company is awful. I told the customer service representative I spoke with that I buy a lot of equipment for rental properties and I will never, never buy an LG appliance again. She didnt really care!

We purchased an LG Front Loader True Balance washing machine in MARCH 2016 from Lowes. This past week, SEPT 2016, water started leaking from underneath washer. We contacted LG directly, tried some troubleshooting to no avail. LG customer service asked that we email a picture of our receipt; we did. We called again and someone told us that the machine was made in 2014, purchased in 2016 and they will have to get back to us. Crickets. Then, we called Lowes. They seemed to be helpful but determined we live outside the service territory and they would have to send complaint back to LG. **!! We have not heard anything from anyone for 5 days now. No washing machine, 2 school-aged children, one of which has a bug and has been throwing up for the past three days, myself and my husband who will be going to work commando soon. It seems that most products today are just crap. CRAP! Not only are the products crap, but customer service, service repair procedures and overall way of doing business is dead. Off to wash vomit-soaked stuffed animals by hand. As God is my witness, we will never buy another LG product again.

We purchased our refrigerator in November of 2015. Customer no service is worse than terrible. Our refrigerator broke down in August of 2019. It is now February 2020. We have had a working refrigerator for 3 days. Since then repair is a nightmare. Only comes on their schedule (A&E) and only when they want. If you ask to speak to management they hang up on you or put you thru transferring you to all incorrect departments. When they hang up on you they block your number so you cannot call back. The 4th person that came out said the parts he was installing looked used. Gosh wonder why they didnt work. Last person out said defect in refrigerator design was the problem even if they order parts will not work. He called LG. They are sending parts to repair defective refrigerator. LG model #lmxs30776s.

I bought the refrigerator July 2016 plus a 5 year warranty. The first year the water flow from the in-door water was very slow. I had to call for service and they fixed it. Now July of 2019 (3 years) the whole refrigerator stopped working. Customer service is a joke. Ive called customer service three times, speaking to three different reps. The first one walked me through a reset and literally said that she guaranteed me that would fix it. She said check in eight hours. I did and it was not working. This was Friday and they are closed for the weekend. I spoke to another rep the first of the next week and he said that it would take until the following Monday for a tech to look at it to diagnose. That will be the ninth day without a refrigerator and freezer. He told me to prepare to be without a refrigerator for another two weeks after the tech makes the diagnosis and orders the parts. That will make 23 days from the time I reported. I spoke to a third rep to find out how to get reimbursed for the loss of $1500 in food. She said she could only authorize a $100 reimbursement. I recently looked at the current reviews and realized everyone is experiencing this same problem. I will never buy an LG product again.

I purchased TWO LG front loader washing machines from Home Depot for my own use. From day one the clothes never came out clean. Because I had bought two I assumed that this issue was with my plumbing and had the plumber back in several times. Each time he assured me that there was no issue with the plumbing. I finally called my extended warranty company to come and take a look at the machines. The technician simply shook his head and said that he understands my frustration as he owns the same machine. There is simply no sufficient water in these high efficiency front loaders to wash laundry! They are marketed as giving a superior wash yet DO NOT WASH THE CLOTHES AT ALL! Try washing a load of laundry in the sink and adding just one jug of water! I am still hopeful that LG will stand behind its product and replace these machines, as I currently have two very nice looking ORNAMENTS in my home.

I bought my LG washing machine three years ago. It was recalled due to issues with the drum. I had a repair guy come out and fix it. I have continued to have issues. The drum is loud and bounces, hitting the inside of the machine. It is piercing loud! I called customer service and the associate told me to file a claim and proof of purchase stating they would replace it since I was continuing to have problems. When I called to follow up on the commitment, a supervisor stated that they would need to repair the machine multiple times before issuing a new one. A commitment should not have been made and instead they should have sent someone out. I do most of my wash on the weekend because I work and have small kids so Im busy during the week. I called again to ask for a repair person to come fix it and the representative stated that I would need to call from 8-5 so they could troubleshoot over the phone. I cannot take off work for this. The other frustrating aspect about dealing with this company is no accountability, being passed from employee to employee with no resolution. Also needing to repeat the entire issue over And over. I will never buy an LG product again and will use social media to get my story out to family And friends so they know the issues I have had.

We bought a $3,000 LG refrigerator in 2013. Countless minor problems are needless to say here. Just last week, the water cooler and ice maker stopped working. When I called LG, the representative I spoke with did not tell me about the common problems and advise me to wait a couple of days for the frost to clear due to the temporary ice maker fan problem. She entered me into a service contract that cost me $258.07 because its out of warranty, and said if I cancelled the contract it would cost me $100.00. Desperate to have the unit fixed, I agreed.Twelve hours later, the unit was back on. I called LG and said I discovered that LG had a lawsuit on the same problem, I needed a full refund. The rep. said someone from the extended warranty dept. will call me back soon. I waited 24 hours later. No one called. I called them back and requested the appointment and contract be cancelled and followed up with a cancellation e-mail. Today, the technician called me to confirmed he was on his way to look at the unit. I have never encountered anything like this. If you shop for an LG refrigerator, you better check the consumer review. I would think twice from now on before buying another LG product.

Bought this LG fridge (model LFX31925SW) in 2013. In 2016 the linear compressor went out on it and we had to toss out all our food. We paid $90 to have it fixed (parts were covered under the 10 year warranty and labor under an extended warranty). It took almost 2 full weeks to get it fixed. Now, 3 years later the linear compressor has gone out AGAIN!!! This time the labor will cost us $540 to fix because the extended warranty we purchased through Home Depot expired. This fridge is going to the landfill and we will be purchasing a new fridge that is not LG. Its just ridiculous to need to replace such a major component every 3 years.

7 years ago (nov 2007) we bought a top of the line LG front loading washer dryer pair on sale for $2936.40 (TROMM STEAM HM2688HWM).. Though never really happy with the cleaning performance -- especially on towels and bedding we finally compromised on using bleach and oxy clean on everything to increase the cleaning efficiency, always used steam, and sent everything else out. Our laundry bill is about $200 a month for a family of three. Additionally we have had to cut back on load size as it doesnt do a good job cleaning if loaded up to anywhere near capacity.Like disappointed we also did a lot of research different brands and found LG was very highly-rated. Obviously they dont include the total life cycle reviews as the feedback on LG would be enough to scare you off ever buying one. LG has failed to take notice of and correct some serious design flaws with their washer and now we have a machine that cannot be fixed because the aluminum door hinges (attached with steel screws to the steel frame) are so corroded from leakage from the additive drawer that after 4 hours the service guy was unable to remove the 6 screws using hand tools, rust sprays, and impact drivers. He just left after letting us know its un-repairable”. The response from LG-- THEY will send an LG technician -- sorry LG wouldnt provide us a contact number -- so no idea what firm -- if its different than the licensed guys they sent last time? To re-assess the licensed LG service guys finding -- at the cost of another $89 USD payable once again by me. After which if he is unable to remove the door hinges we will get a review from second level (see comments disappointed and others on successful outcome from second level -- e.g. slim and None). As an Engineer and vintage car guy, I could potentially drill out the corroded screws holding the door hinges in place and then use larger metal screws with an LG replacement hinge but that is a big job and may not succeed using OEM equipment. The root cause of the corrosion is clearly due to the gap between the additive tray housing and the front plastic cover allowing leakage from the tray to pour down on the hinges, and sheet metal causing rust, corrosion and other issues like Mould/ Mold and mildew in areas you cant really get in to clean or dry out. Frankly its a poor design and has been for some time, the 2014 units have the same flaw. The service folks I polled said the best fix would be to run a bead of silicon on the gap between tray housing and front panel.. would have been good to know 6 years ago. Actually what they said was never buy LG washers as they are prone to problems -- though the service manager said it keep them very busy. How LG CANNOT notice is a mystery. This problem and other design issues for LG washers have been covered on so many blogs and complaint bulletin boards. Perhaps the design team in Korea ignores English postings or is so worried about their war with Samsung that they cant be bothered about consumers and life cycle reliability or even simple fixes like the silicon in the gap. .Be warned when measuring cleaning, these Review labs use much different yardsticks than the rest of us... this is power per cycle with little real world understanding of what clean means to consumers. When you have to wash things twice or more, triple the chemical additives, and use smaller than typical loads to get things clean and avoid mildewy smells in fresh towels there isnt really any savings. Wonder if there is a back door arrangement with the guys (Proctor Gamble others) who make washing additives, as it certainly requires much more additives than any top loader I have had all in the name of HE-High efficiency.Who wants to be flooded out of their second floor laundry room by door leaks. Now I know why in Europe they always had the washer in the bathroom -- oh yeah a floor drain!! Foolishly I thought that sold in America they would have fixed some of the hereditary issues from Europe.. Not really! If you dont mind giving your clothes two washings loaded up with chemicals, having to introduce scent additives in both washer and dryer with sheets and tablets, and the inevitable quadruple maintenance and cleaning, then looks like LG front loaders are for you! Though for my mind all the savings in electricity go out the window when compared to redundant cycles, massive chemical and additive costs, and excessive maintenance.. HE seems a little more like HYPED (false) ECONOMY than high efficiency..WE WILL SEE IF LG REPLACE THE MACHINE AS SUGGESTED BY THE LADY FROM MANILA THAT ANSWERS THE 24 HOUR SERVICE LINE. . BUT LIKE DISAPPOINTED IM NOT EXPECTING MUCH. Nor should you!

If I buy them, they are going to crack again because they are the same ones. These knobs are defective. LG should have replace them with a better constructed knob so this doesnt happen again. You know I expected that LG would be a good company and that if should something happen to my recently purchased LG fridge, that they would provide good service to me. How wrong I was. LG really let me down with not just their product - this new expensive fridge that broke that just after 1 year, but especially with their service. I asked if they could provide a service technician and the only one in my area wont repair the coolant system. So they purposely have the only technician in the Greater Vancouver area not do coolant systems. This seems designed to frustrate customers. They then said they could get another technician a week later who would cost $500 for labor (5 times the other service rate). In the end, I decided to scrap my fairly new fridge and get a KitchenAid fridge because its a better quality product and KitchenAid does right by its customers. LG is a really terrible company and I would recommend staying away from their products if you dont want to go through service hell.

I will never buy an LG refrigerator again. They have very poor customer service. They are very good at giving you bogus information and youre calling customer service in the Philippines. My refrigerator went out on a Friday and LG gives me two supposed authorized dealers, one never picked up the phone and the other one was closed at 2:30 and I couldnt leave a message because of a full mailbox. I took it upon myself to get someone out and had it fixed by Monday. If your product goes out on the weekend forget it.The one supposed authorized dealer said they dont fix LG refrigerators in Arizona anymore and LG still continues to give out that name, the other one said they couldnt get someone out for a week. They are very good at jacking people around and it ended up costing me 743.00 for a new compressor which is covered by LG but they said since I didnt call who they told me to they werent covering it. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell as many people I know the same information.

When the technician opened up the top panel, I noticed that the metal was scorched - like in fire. The entire board had to be replaced. Ive also noticed a foul smell ever since Ive had the washer. Recently, I was notified of a recall due to some balancing problem. I was also sent a sticker advising me not to wash or spin any item known to be waterproof or water resistant, even if the label on the item permits machine washing. I was under the impression this warning would only be in effect until the recall problem was taken care of. Oh no, the technician who came out made sure he told me never to wash things like bathmats or mattress covers that may have rubber/vinyl backing. I asked what am I to do since bathmats for one thing need frequent washing. He told me, Lady, go to the laundromat. Im 75 years old on a fixed income and the money I paid for these appliances was hard to come by. Ive had many different washing machines in my lifetime, but never encountered anything like this. I wish the LG CEOs office was nearby so I could dump this piece of crap in front of his desk. Life is not so good right now.

Purchased this LG Refrigerator Model LFX25974 on July 3, 2013 from Home Depot and was delivered on July 16. 7 weeks later, the freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling. I contacted LG and after 2 customer service reps, they had me run the self diagnostics on it... which showed I depleted my ice too quickly.... Seriously? The ice was water! LG arranged to have an authorized repairman to come out. The appointment was confirmed with the ApplianceMan in Westerville, Ohio for Thursday, August 29th between 1-5p. NEVER SHOWED!!!! When I contacted them Fri. am, was told they lost my appt. After they arrived Friday afternoon, was told I needed new compressor and evaporator and parts ordered. 1-2 weeks before they come in and then need to schedule another appt to fix.... According to the other reviews, this seems to be the trend with LG. I will never purchase another LG appliance

We bought a double oven LG range. The dials to turn burners are located on front of burner surface area. We’ve found when you clean range top, it’s easy to bump against dials and turn on burner without knowing until surface gets warm or hot. Also, there is blistering on outside lower panel oven door.

One never-ending nightmare! I ordered an LG Dishwasher (LDF5545BD) from Homedepot.com on Jan 15th, 2021. As I write this today (February 19th, 2021), I still do not have a working dishwasher after spending nearly $900! The 1st dishwasher arrived on Jan 21st, 2021 but I quickly realized the unit wouldn’t dry the dishes (even with the Extra Dry setting). An appliance associate at my local Home Depot in Austell, GA, Mr. Scott ** was very helpful in helping me contact LG to report the problem. LG decided to replace the unit which was delivered on February 7th, 2021. The installers told me they could not install it fully because it is connected electrically and they’re not supposed to deal with wires without some other attachment. Why was I not told about that beforehand or from the previous installers? Anyway, this second unit did not dry my dishes either. Called support and they told me to use Rinse Aid. I did not feel like I should have to now not only buy dishwasher detergent but also Rinse Aid. So I initially refused to add a rinse budget to my expensive non-working dishwasher purchase. A repair technician was sent out from National Platinum Service in Columbus Georgia. That technician came 13 minutes early, rang my bell, and left 12 minutes before my service window time. They sent another technician the next day who also told me I should add Rinse Aid. After doing very little to check the unit he asked me to sign and he left. I gave in and bought some Rinse Aid and then ran my dishwasher again and then again using the Rinse Aid and varying settings (like High Temp, Extra Dry, etc). No luck – dishes, racks, and inside the unit is soaking wet! LG will have you being transferred to several people who either can’t see the details of my problem or will keep you on hold so long that when someone does speak with you there is a 4-second audio delay added to uncompassionate customer service. LG says they won’t replace it with a different model or refund me so I’m stuck with an $800 paperweight. I cannot reach Mr. Scott at Home Depot and LG won’t budge (because they really, really must need my $800). They want to send another repairman as if I broke it. This is terrible!

I asked for a repairman to come out to address this issue after a prior repair. I was told to unplug the unit and let the coil defrost. Not possible with food in the refrigerator and freezer. So the noise continues!

I purchased LGLDT5678SS dishwasher in April. The dishwasher has a very annoying whistling sound during the fan/drying cycle which I reported to LG immediately. LG sent CVS Appliance repair to correct the problem. They replaced the fan; the whistling continued. I was told by their rep that it was probably a design/manufacturing flaw. I have called LG multiple times. I was told today by a supervisor that only TCC could authorize a replacement or refund, whoever that is. Do not buy this dishwasher. LG reps give you a constant runaround and the supervisor basically said LG would do nothing to correct or fix this. She put another work order in to CVS; their rep Randy called and said he had already repaired the dishwasher and that I should get another service company to come out. I have reached out to Ferguson, the company we purchased the DW from, they are my last hope. I cannot and will not live with this annoying noise which can be heard throughout my home, not just in the kitchen.

Have a LG refrigerator that is 2 1/2 years old. Warranty for parts is ten years. It stopped working 9 days ago. Called LG and they referred me to A&E Factory Service. Called and made an appointment. Looked at Google reviews and 580 reviews and a 1.1 rating. Worst was do not let them in your house. They came out, ordered three parts, had to set another 4 hour window for an appointment. After 5 1/2 hours yesterday, he said it is working and left. Checked this morning and is still warm and now vibrates loudly. So now another five hours stuck at home tomorrow while they attempt to fix it. This company is who LG uses so when not if yours breaks but when this is who you will be dealing with. This will be a total of 15 hours waiting on them and over one hour on the phone with LG.This is an independent repair company who said almost all their calls are on LG refrigerators. LG has been a total waste of time dealing with. They truly could care less about me not having a refrigerator now for two weeks even if it is fixed tomorrow which there is ZERO chance of that happening. Talking to retailers because I am buying another refrigerator and certainly not LG. Salespeople confirm this is a common situation. Was referred to LG Executive Services who will not call me back. You have been warned. The repair company did state because of their known issues with repairs that I would get a one time free repair meaning would not have to pay for labor. If that is not a red flag.

So I bought an LG Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # WT1101CW in June of 2014. After about 6 weeks the washing machine started getting uneven loads, on small batches, normal-sized batches, even just a table cloth and placemats. This now happens about 60% of the loads, if not more often. It fills with TONS of WATER multiple times in an attempt to balance an already balanced load (I take several minutes now to load the washer to make sure its perfect) and has skyrocketed our water bill. High efficiency my rear end. I was in contact with LG and they said its normal. Normal to have a high efficiency washer raise my water bill by 300%? NO thanks. NEVER buying an LG Washer ever again. Can I please have an old-fashioned, non-energy star washer that just works and cleans and has no computer parts in it?

I have tried several things to get my dishes clean in my LG dishwashers but they rarely come out acceptable. In most cases, whats left wipes off with a dry cloth. I expect a dishwasher to clean the dishes spotless without my needing to clean them first. I will never buy another LG Dishwasher.

This washing machine will not get anything clean. Had it about 2-3 years - what a piece of junk. I have never seen a washing machine in my 68 years of life that would not get something clean. This is a top loader, direct drive, true Balance. I totally believe this machine should fall under the Lemon law.

I finally received the check yesterday. I cannot change the rating. None of this was easy. The way this was handled was completely inappropriate. Nobody should have to go through this when dealing with a refrigerator that was recalled and still under warranty. Wait times of 1-3 hours on the phone. Appointments scheduled and cancelled without any notification or reason. Horrible customer service that nobody deserves for any reason. Im so glad its over. This was extremely stressful and I dont feel like I received enough compensation under the circumstances. What bothers me most is you are still selling these defective refrigerators.

Ive had this LG model LMV1683ST microwave under 2 years. I had my house remodeled by a contractor and spent $13,000 for new appliances. They choose LG for Refrigerator dishwasher stove and microwave. Then after 2 years later it suddenly started to making sparks and flames from one of the shelf hooks in the microwave started. If hadn’t been there in time, it had all the makings of a major catastrophe and burning down my home. I removed the metal shelf thinking that was the issue, but it was not. It happened again, and this time I unplugged the unit, and Im at the point of removing it from my wall and tossing in trash. When it comes to LG customer support or Technical support even executive services they’re useless. I’ve been trying now for weeks to get this resolved and get a replacement but as of yet there’s no resolution sight. I don’t trust this unit even if it’s repaired. Microwaves are not supposed suddenly burst into flames. I asked customer support if they would want this defective unit their home. Reply no. So then they’re saying it’s ok for a consumer to have it their home and risk harm to their family. As stated before. LG says their initials stand for Lifes Good. Should be Looking Grievous. Or LNG Life’s Not Good.
