I have had my top loading machine for 4 months... 2 of those months my machine has been out of commission. The agitator plate comes off completely!!! The machine stops. After 3.5 weeks of trying to get a repair person out (since LG has the absolute hands down worst customer service on planet earth... And they are located in the Philippines and are difficult to work with). Finally the repair person comes out and glues, yes glues the agitator back in place. We wait 2 days for the glue to set. Then do 2 loads and the thing flies off again!!! Now the next repair person tells me they have to order a new transmission!! WTF??! I am marching into Sears today to demand a new machine. Buy anything at all, but do not purchase an LG product. Disgraceful company on all accounts!!!

Purchased the LG Direct drive dishwasher. Stainless steel with all the bell
Purchased the LG Direct drive dishwasher. Stainless steel with all the bells and whistles. 1 year after purchase, I received an error code on the machine, stating its retaining water/moisture. Called LG Customer service provider. They walked me through the steps to fix this issue. Two weeks after this issue the machine made some very loud noises, along with showing another code. This time it was the motor that had gone out on it. I was told I needed to send receipt, as I refused to pay for service. Keep in mind it had water issues already. So I sent the receipt, and they fought me, along with denying my claim. It didnt stop there. I finally got someone out here from LG to fix for free, after a lot of time on the phone, and no use of dishwasher for 2 weeks. The repair man came out. He was very rude. Along with tipping dishwasher and spilling water all over new floor.Well my problems did not stop there. Its only been 2 weeks since fixed, and its showing the error code for water /moisture again. Little did we know the first error code was leaking water under my new floor. Ive called LG Customer service again and got the run around. The service rep also told me this is a known fact about the machine, and there have been issues with it. Its been 3 days and no one has reached out. But heres the worst part of all this. My floor has now been tore up, and restoration has come out due to the known issues, and all the water that has leaked out under my floor. My homeowners now has to get rid of water and replace the whole floor. My machine still sits in kitchen broke and not usable. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS UNIT.

LG Refrigerator - Paid $3500. JOKE. Been repaired repeatedly by P.C. Richards service department. Theyve even asked LG to replace the unit as all possible parts have been replaced. This is the worst possible product. LG has now lost a customer and Im telling everyone I know not to purchase. I thought I was buying a top of the line product... French doors, freezer drawers (that come off track). Water lines froze constantly and now compressor has broken numerous times. Ive lost about $1,000 in products to no refrigeration/freezer. Tomorrow will be the 6th attempted repair since April. HELP!

Very pleased with refrigerator repair process. It went very smoothly and our freezer is working fine now. I do think that when you pay 2K to 4K for a fridge, it should last longer than 2 yrs. The issue I have is trying to get customer service to compensate us for food loss (which they informed us we were entitled to). I have talked numerous times to customer service and still NO CALLBACK WHEN PROMISED! PLEASE DON’T MAKE PROMISES YOU KNOW YOU’RE NOT GOING TO KEEP!!

I purchased the Wt1101cw washer almost two years ago. This could be a great machine if it didnt show UE-uneven-all the time. It takes forever to finish a wash! It doesnt matter if you are doing a small wash or a larger one. I feel that the agitator, located in the bottom of the drum is a poor design and thats why it is uneven. I have had that agitator replaced three weeks ago and now I am having the same symptoms. Repairman returning Monday. When you try to purchase the part it is out of stock-this tells me that I am the not the only one with the problem. There is even a You-Tube video showing how to repair it!! I spent a lot of money on this because of the LG name-they said it has to break four times before they will consider doing something. I have read multiple times in multiple places that people are saying the same things. I really think that this machine is defective. Thanks for listening!

April 1, 2016 I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator from Topline Appliance with 5 yr extended warranty from New Leaf Svc Contractors. Within the first 2 yrs, the compressor died and we lost all our food. The Warranty co only replaced up to $200 for our food loss. The compressor was replaced and the refrigerator worked fine for a while. In Jan 2021 the display stopped working on the door panel. Contacted LG and together we got it working. On 2/19/21 the ice maker stopped working. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot via the manual, and with LG representative, I contacted Topline, they put me in touch with the warranty co for repair. I finally heard back from them on 2/25/21. The repairman, ED came out on 3/3/21 didnt have the right parts to fix it, so order multiple parts to be delivered. He came back a 2nd time on 3/11/21 and replaced the computer board along with other parts and it still didnt fix the ice maker. He put in a request for a replacement door or replacement refrigerator. I was told the door was on back order and should be delivered by 4/4/21. Never heard from anyone and the door never came. On 4/12/21 I called New Leaf because the display stopped working. Several troubleshooting attempts failed. On 4/27/21 Jordy at New Leaf stated it door could take up to 12 wks and that it would take care of the issue with the display as well. He told me he would contact LG & call me back, never got a response back. Multiple attempts to contact New Leaf (Jordy) & LG regarding the status of the door were ignored again. 5/7/21 after multiple holds, I finally spoke to Jessica, supervisor with New Leaf. She told me her hands are tied because the door cant be outsourced & has to be specially made by LG directly. She put me on hold while she contacted LG to get further information regarding the status of the door. After many inconsistencies with LG, she said she would look into it further and get back to me. Here it is 5/17/21 and still no word from LG or New Leaf. I blame LG & New Leaf for poor customer service as well as a product that does not live up to its supposed 20 yr life span or price tag of $2500. If I dont get a response from them or receive the door by 6/3/21, My next step will be the media & my attorney. I DO NOT recommend LG French Door Refrigerator! I do however, love the black stainless, and the large capacity it holds.

Purchased two LG refrigerators both breaking down same way. Thought the first time was just defect; now after reading blogs and comments just poor manufacturing. On the first unit 1mth after buying, fresh food storage stopped keeping food cold and freezer stopped freezing. After 3 attempts to fix through LG, I refused a fourth try. They refused to exchange. Home Depot absorbed the loss and exchanged the refrigerator, which they didnt have to do. Now 2.5yrs later of course bought LG, like I said 1st time bad luck. Now again refrigerator not cooling, had to throw out food last night and again today and the freezer now not working, of course, warranty expired after first year, and they cant help me. Have 4 kids, can barely afford to buy food and make it last. Now Im throwing it away and cant get help. Why would a Refrigerator stop working only after 2 1/2 years? Poor manufacturing. After checking internet blogs and complaints, found out thousands of customers have had the same problems, have been reported it, and have gotten no help, have to pay out of pocket and have someone come in and diagnose the problem then order the part directly through LG. The company should be ashamed of its self for not resolving a problem like this when families buy their products because of past reputation of being reliable - $1200.00 paid and only lasted 2.5years. Now will cost me between $200.-300.00 for the repair. I will never recommend or purchase another LG product again. Thats why they only warranty their products for 1yr only. For a purchase this big and important storing food and knowing all families and people in general have the use for this item, they would have more integrity.

The fridge has great cooling system, very practical design plus the aesthetics fit my taste. The height is just perfect for someone petite. It also has cold savers and french doors. It was more affordable compared to the other brands with the specifics that I wanted. It has add ons, it is also very durable. It has definitely met my expectations with all the bells and whistles. But I wish the organizing bins were adjustable. Temperature per shelf adjustable, a roll out shelf, easy to remove and clean bins, an area where we can put odor neutralizer. That would really be helpful

Almost 2 years to the day after purchasing my LG side-by-side refrigerator with bottom freezer, the freezer stopped freezing. Two LG-Certified repair people concluded it was the compressor and a $1300 repair on a machine I purchased for $1900. Really?!?!? Fortunately the part was covered, and the repair ONLY cost $600. Piece of junk.

I have purchased 5 major appliances from LG in the past 16 months. Several days ago, I noticed ice on some of my frozen products in the freezer. I think I have it narrowed down to a $6 ice tray. It seems bent and lower than level at left front of the plastic tray. When I called to report the problem, all LG wanted to hear was, Did you purchase an extended warranty? I did not. I received a call back a few days later informing me that LG will not help me. The best they will do is to refer me to a plumber at my cost. No, thanks!!! These will be the last LG products (washer, dryer, gas range, dishwasher, and refrigerator) I will buy.

Purchased fridge 1/1/2016. After 3 months we had to have it repaired because ice was forming on fan, they also had to evacuate the system and add freon. Took a few weeks for that repair. At 7 months old it stopped cooling (compressor went bad). Lost $250 worth of food. We had to use one of their authorized servicers due to the warranty and it took 2 weeks for a repair. Almost 3 years to the day after having replaced the compressor, it went bad again. The part is covered, labor is not. It will cost me $300+ for the repair and another $200+ for spoiled food. I should not be spending this kind of money to repair a $3000 refrigerator after only 3 years and 7 months. I have read numerous reviews and this is a very common issue. There have been several class action lawsuits and apparently LG is aware of the subpar performance of this appliance, yet still sells it.

LG model no. WT4870CW dropped off this morning brand new. After delivery, delivery guy set up and did the programmed test run. This checks if water is supplied, if it vibrates excessively or drains. All looked fine until I did a small load of laundry which came out unclean. Then on second try, I noticed tub basin filled up all the way to the top and agitator didnt work properly. I even made comment that it was so quiet...well when agitator is not doing its job, its super quiet. After trying different cycles and settings and after motor started to smell like it was burning rubber, I called home depot. The sales man gave me a lesson in how much detergent to put in, reasons why clothes arent getting clean, and told me to unplug it, wait 3 minutes, then try again. After explaining Im 30 and know how to do laundry, I explained again about water filling up in wash cycle and agitator not working. He said he would call LG and have a new one out to us IN A WEEK. After already waiting a week and half for first new washer, still blows my mind when a sales person does not apologize for the inconvenience or broken machine THEY sold.Im under no impression LG will stop making worthless machines for a ton of money, but listen up all the peeps in customer service, KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. SAY YOURE SORRY. DONT MAKE EXCUSES OR GET DEFENSIVE. Does the machine not working say something about you? Or is it your ego that needs to blame the customer by default? Some customers are rude but others are just like you trying to do their best to figure out a solution to the small and big obstacles they face. If you cant at least say sorry or be respectful...think about finding another job that fits you better. LG fail and Home Depot fail. Pretty disappointed.

I have an LG dryer. I only put a 1/2 load of laundry in on the energy saver mode. After a 63 minute cycle the clothes are as wet as when I put them in. LG said that the dryer is functioning as normal. They said I am supposed to hang all my clothes after the cycle is complete if I want to use energy saver mode. They did a remote diagnostic and said there are no malfunctions. My dryer is under warranty and they said if they come out and there is not a manufacture malfunction I will be charged for the service call even though my dryer is under warranty. I will never buy another LG product again.

I bought the gas range (LRG3061) back in November and since then I have had nothing but issues. The oven flame is over firing and the inside of the oven becomes black after use. It takes me hours to clean and it returns again after using the oven a few times. When I try to use the burners it makes the bottom of my pans black which is terrible. Each time I call LG they set me up with an appointment for a technician to come but no one ever shows up in the actual appointment date. This issue has been going on for a few months now and LGs ability to fix the problem has been disgraceful. It is a health hazard and I have spent a lot of money on this gas range and whenever I cook it turns the food black. To this date Im still waiting for a technician to come to fix the issue.

The LG refrigerator was energy efficient, stainless steel with side by side
The LG refrigerator was energy efficient, stainless steel with side by side doors. I liked the refrigerator size. The ice maker features were nice. But the pullout freezer would get full fast. The filter needed to be changed too often. I wish the freezer was bigger. I had to buy another freezer because the freezer was so small. Not enough space. Sometimes the food in the freezer would defrost. And the freezer on the bottom wasnt very big and would filled too full. But I really just liked the way the refrigerator looks. It is a sleek looking piece of equipment. I did wish it had a few more luxury features. But, overall, it was the best bang for the buck. It had good reviews, had a good price and it was attractive. Id buy the refrigerator again.

I read the reviews before purchasing this product (LG Refrigerator Model LFX25976ST) and an LG Stove about 4 years ago. There were no negative comments. Now when you look for reviews on both my products, it appears that everyone is having the same problems with the middle burner not lighting and the ice maker freezing up. It seems as though LG has discontinued both products; probably because they not good appliances. Read reviews every thirty days and make sure you get everything and anything fixed if you purchase this product again, because they will not help after that. They want to charge me $ 200.00 to come out and check, while the dealer they recommend only charges $ 100.00. Uh, this is not right! I guess I have to go back to GE appliances!

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!

I purchased a top loader washer in August 2012. I washed a couple loads of clothes and after drying them, they stink still. I decided to read the manual to see if I was doing something wrong. No, I sure was not. I tried the extra rinse cycle, etc. Still stinky clothes. I called Conns; they say I have to pay a 20% restocking fee. What! Thats crazy. The machine does not work good so thats a manufacture defect, not a customer issue. Anyway, they decided to send someone to look at it. The guy said, It sounds like youre doing everything right. Nothing wrong. I said, If clothes still stink, something is wrong. He said its the government because theyre trying to save the earth by using less water. Wow, so our clothes have to stink because we have a limit on water to use. This is real crazy to me. What is this world coming to take our money and dont care what we get in return? Pretty soon, we wont be a free country anymore. The government will be running everything.

The pedestal washer catches fabrics and causes damage. The front load washer is loud - with just 5 t-shirts and 1 beach towel seem to stress the machine. When the cycle gets to rinse/spin it produces loud thuds and disturbing noise. The dryer drum is bent, or warped, it has a raised hard plastic that hooks and drags clothing items while the machine is in dry cycle thereby causing threads to pull away from the garments. It has only been 6 months since purchasing the washer and dryer and the extensive damage is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Meanwhile the company we purchased from is making every effort to avoid responsibility/accountability or remedial action.

I purchased from Home Depot the LG front loading washing machine model # MW
I purchased from Home Depot the LG front loading washing machine model # MW2050CW in April 2011 so this product is only 7 years old. It started making a loud grinding noise in the spin cycle, so I called LG directly to see what I should do. Someone from their technical department asked me to start the spin cycle so he could hear the noise. He quickly diagnosed it as bad bearings. Since the machine was out of warranty, I was transferred to a different department, thinking I was still talking with LG. I was talking to Assurant Warranty, who LG uses to provide repair service when their appliance is out of warranty. However, I wasnt informed that I was no longer working with LG which I believe is very deceptive. I signed a repair contract for 3 payments of $95 each on Sept 28, 2017 to begin the repair. A local repair company called Authorized Appliance (would not recommend them either) sent a technician on Oct 2nd. He also turned on the spin cycle, listened to the noise and confirmed what LG had told me over the phone was bad bearings. He performed his diagnosis in 10 minutes. Within 2 weeks, I received a call from the warranty service stating they had received the technicians diagnosis and authorized the repair. On Oct 28, 2017 the second payment of $95 was charged to my credit card. Early in November, I called the repair company to be told they were still waiting on 1 more part to be delivered which was the drum for the washer. On Nov 13, I called the warranty company to hear from them what the delay in fixing my machine was all about. They were unable to reach the repair company due to a large volume of morning calls and asked me to try them later in the afternoon, but assured me they were staying on top of this. I finally reached the repair company on Nov 21st only to be told that Assurant had canceled the drum order because it was no longer available. The drum has a lifetime warranty and to be told the part isnt available on a 7 year old washer is completely a rip off by LG. During the same phone call with the repair company, they told me that Assurant informed me of the decision on Nov 2nd and had already refunded me and that I had cashed the check. Both were lies so now I know Im really getting the run-around. At this point, I called LG directly twice, and spoke to a final person who said my complaint was being directed to the special customer service department of LG for a decision. I was told that I would hear back from them within 3 to 5 business days. I confirmed that Wed, Nov 29th was the last day I would hear from them. That was yesterday!! I will call them today and demand some answers how they are going to correct this problem. By the way, I was charged $100 (which will not be refunded) for the 10 minute service call. Why the health department isnt involved in this matter is truly shocking to me. Both my Fiancee and myself have experienced general malaise (headaches, body aches, nausea, dizziness) which we now believe is due to the mold build up in this machine and thus ending up in our clothes despite double washing the clothes to get the smell out.The constant nightmare in dealing with mold buildup in the machine has truly been astounding. We have tried everything from leveling the machine since water never gets fully drained, to scrubbing the front flap , to draining water and cleaning reservoir and bleach cycle--nothing works. This is the first and last LG product we ever buy. They put this thing on the market knowing full well of the problems with it. Personally, I am looking around to see if theres a class action lawsuit. In the meantime, we are going old school and buying a cheap top loader. Weve used top loaders for 30 years and never had a problems with them. Even our kids agree that this machine is crap.

I believed that LG is one of the best company in the Indian market so I bought LG Washing Machine but before complete 3 years, I got a serious problem with my LG Washing Machine and LG technical engineer said to replace PCB of the machine. He also said that I have to pay for this PCB and I have to pay approx amount is Rs. 4500/-. This is totally not acceptable by me. After all these I have a doubt that my LG Washing Machine is original or duplicate. Is your dealer sold duplicate or not? As per my knowledge washing machine does not have any major problem till 7 to 8 years. It is very serious matter for LG also that LG demands such amount. Can LG give revert for my below queries: -Is my decision to buy LG product is right? -Are you thinking that within such a short time PCB problem is acceptable? -Are you thinking that LG is still a good brand for Washing Machine ?I request you to repair my LG Washing Machine without any charges and prove that LG is best in after sale services. Hope your best support and quick action.

I purchased this LG French Door 28 cu ft Refrigerator Model # LMX28988SW on 3/10/2011 and was delivered and setup from Best Buy on 3/28/2011. Was told this is the best fridge on the market... It cost almost $2600, but I wanted something that would last. Boy, that sure didnt happen... Not quite 7 years later my freezer and icemaker both stopped working. The ice maker needed replacement just a few months after purchase and now it failed again. Im sure its somehow related to the freezer no longer freezing things. I have an International Harvester refrigerator in my barn that was purchased by my parents in 1950 and it still works fine. How discouraging that this LG fridge has already puked out.

Our LG washer/dryer is less than 5 years old. We bought these top of the line machines since we are getting older and wanted to be trouble-free for the foreseeable future. This year, we had to replace both circuit boards on the dryer. Then after that, the drum would not turn and the motor just buzzed. So we had to replace the motor too. A little reading on the internet and it seems that many people have had the same problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor, circuit boards needing replacement is common as well. Now, the washing machine has started to make a loud, squeaking sound when it runs. My old washer/dryer combo was purchased in 1986 and was still working perfectly in 2007 when we bought the LG units. We paid a premium for a top of the line, but we sure didnt get a top of the line reliability.

The owners manual says the cycle for Bulky/Large/Heavy duty can wash and spin 8LBS. A call to the LG service department said it could do 12-14LBS. We have washed a 6LB mattress cover with no problems. We rewashed it 3 months later and it could not spin, tried to reposition item, the drum went back and forth forever to extract water but still couldnt spin. Months later was the 3 bathroom cotton rugs, 17X24, 21X24 and 22X34 total weight 6LBS it couldnt spin. Before the 5 year extended warranty expired called for service 3 separate times.1st repairman said he had no idea what was wrong and said he would have someone else come out, that didnt happen. 2nd repairman saw the rugs put in the machine, partial wash and then try to spin, took 1 out till wouldnt spin took out another still wouldnt spin. They said they would call LG and get answers, they called back a few days later and said LG said it was one loaded and to remove two, that did not work. We were then told that LG doesnt like to repair their equipment. The 3rd repairman couldnt long enough to see if it would spin. The warranty company gave us $50.00 and said to use a commercial laundry. Very unhappy with LG products. I will not buy again. Im also not happy with extended warranties wont be purchasing those again. Just a word to the wish look at the reviews LG has a problem.

LG LFX25971ST Refrigerator. Biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. And, LG has the absolute worst customer service, ever. I decided to replace my spec house cheap refrigerator with a very, very nice one. I had always bought cheap ones in the past. In 2009, I spent over $2500 on this refrigerator and after 7 years and 2 months, the very cheap and chintzy compressor went out on it. This is well over a $1000 to fix. They knew their compressors were junk, so they replaced the rotary compressor with a linear compressor a year after I bought this thing. Now, I have to decide whether or not to dump $1000+ into this one or get a new one. If I get a new one, I will be throwing away a beautiful looking, fancy, worthless $2500 frig. Note - I bought the cheapest side by side (Admiral brand - Montgomery Wards) frig I could find back in 1997. That frig is still running. I bought a spec house with the cheapest GE frig in it, and that one is still running. The newest, nicest, most expensive appliance I have every purchased is dead. As a door nail. And, LGs local service stinks, too. I asked them how much the compressor would cost me and they said around $600. I found them online all day for $200-300. I sent a note to LG (mind you, you cannot contact the company directly. They have a call center in Romania, I think...) and they could care less. I got the most patronizing note I have ever a received. I will never, ever, ever, buy anything LG. Look at the reviews on this site. Look at the class action lawsuits against them. Dont go by the reviews on their site. They edit them. Worst company making the worst appliances, ever. And. make note, that they make a majority of Kenmore Appliances, as well.

We purchased this refrigerator four years ago. The day after the warranty expired, a capacitor in the fridge burned out and melted a lot of the wiring inside. We paid to have it replaced (LG covered the part, we paid labor). Today the same capacitor burned out, this time actually exploding with enough force that the access door was bent and the unit nearly caught fire. The wiring melted again and there is a black tarry substance all through the unit and across the motherboard. I initiated a live chat session and explained the situation to the rep. I was told to call a repair center nearby and that LG wouldnt cover any portion of the cost. The rep then signed off with, Lifes good! Have a really, really happy New Year! As if adding insults to the fire risk was needed.

My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. I replaced the fresh air filter at 6 months to see if that would help, and it knocked the odor back for a few days, but then the odor just came back. Now, I have a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless. Do not buy this refrigerator.

I am very upset with my LG purchase. Back in January 2019 my stove was delivered & installed. Everything seemed fine until I decided to clean the stove using the self cleaning feature on Friday, 8/9/2019. After using the self cleaning feature the enamel on my stove is burnt in the corners of the door. During initial conversation with the Warranty Department I was given a case number and told I would be contacted to arrange an appointment time for their technician to come take a look at the stove. Two days later I receive a phone call from a service company explaining that my cosmetic defect is not covered by the warranty and if they come out and determine it is not a manufacturer defect I will have to pay a service fee. I shared with her my concerns of over-heating or possible burnt enamel and explained that I did not feel comfortable with this scenario.I called LG back and they decided to send out a Certified LG technician. He called this morning 8/14/19 and said he would be here between 2-5. When he arrived (5:10pm) today he said has no idea what caused these marks, he even noted that he could not test the oven because it happens during the cleaning cycle when the door is locked. He placed a call to his tech team back at the office. Even he gets placed on a LONG hold! He shares with me that he needs to get to his next appointment and will call me back with their determination. When he called me back I was told they are not going to cover the defect that it is burnt on food. (Huh!!)First how do they know. They were not here? The technician that physically looked at the stove and did not come up with this scenario - a person on the phone did??? But even with this possible scenario - I asked how can food get in-between the gasket and the door? Yet there is no burnt on food anywhere else in the stove. Not even on the floor of the stove! He tells me there is nothing he can do to call customer service again. Now we are waiting on a 2nd technician visit. Please keep in mind I have literally spent hours on the phone with each call. Taken 3 hours off from work today and will need to take additional time off on Friday for the second appointment. I hope this nightmare ends soon.

Spending nearly $900 on my LG washing machine was the single biggest waste of hard earned money I’ve ever experienced. This thing is not worth the box it came in. It’s the worst household appliance I’ve ever owned. Since my purchase I’ve read countless reviews saying the exact same thing. It’s not at all unusual to spend between 12 and 36 hrs to actually get a load of clothes washed after continuous malfunctions. We are literally hauling it to the landfill. This machine would be an insult to give to someone else. I will most definitely not ever purchase another LG product. BE WARNED... Do your research and check reviews before wasting your money on any type of LG washing machine. This product doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Customer service is non-existent so don’t waste your time trying to get help, they could literally care less about any problems you might be having.

I purchased an LG dryer in March 2015 due to the great ratings and owning a lot of LG products. Within a year I started having trouble with my dryer: no heat. I called several times and customer service said it wasnt their unit. They said it was my venting system or electrical. Had someone come out. Nothing wrong with electrical. Tore dryer apart. No lint nothing plugged from lint basket to outside vent. Finally after 5 months they honored their warranty. Took repair company 3 weeks to fix the dryer. Heater and sensor replaced. Not even 6 loads later same issue. So I called corporate office where I was told they were not going to fix my dryer nor were they replacing it. I am not a happy customer. When I load my laundry into the tub and ask for HOT water, I expect a hot water wash. Never going to happen in this machine. I tried turning the cold water off and the tub drains! Not only that, I have a window I can watch my clothes through and the clothes on top never do cycle to the bottom or anywhere else. They stay right on top. The drum, clothes & water go right, stops, goes left, stops, agitates very little and repeats the process 3 times. How is that going to clean clothes?! The stains on top of pile never get agitated through the water. I am ready to throw this thing in the garbage because that is exactly what it is! Never another LG product in my house again! I have had the LG HE machine for approximately 2 years. When I first got it, I called LG because the machine wasnt getting all of my clothes wet and certainly not clean. They smelled dirty when they came out. The repairman said that the machine was working properly and proceeded to completely fill the tub to prove it to me. I have since found that the only way to get a full tub of water to cover my large loads is to run the washer on Bulky Bedding with Heavy Soil Level. (Nice trick for the repairman to use). How much longer will LG (I dont know about other so called HE makers) be allowed to dupe the public into buying these machines? I bought it to save energy and water. I care about our overuse of the earths resources in fact I am one of those who still hangs clothes outside on my clothes line. As soon as we can save enough money, we will dump this machine.

I called LG and after 5 hours of run around through their customer service. Customer service reps are all from India or Philippines. They have no idea what you are saying. They email you videos to watch on how to clean your machine. Finally after I lost my temper they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. We will see what happens. This leak is substantial and has caused major water damage and possibly mold to the walls and floor. Has destroyed the item stored within 6 feet of the washer. When the machine cycles on it will pump water out of the soap drawer at times. Sometimes when it is started and other times when it goes into rinse mode, flooding the drawer below the washing machine and the floor. It took several calls to a person who did not want to send a service tech. He told us it was because we were using a wrong detergent. That is a perfect example of how little he knows about the product. When we finally got a service tech to come out and look at it, the problem did not show up while he was here and he had no idea what was happening. So although he was a very nice person he was not schooled in the product then he was sent out to troubleshoot. There has to be a troubleshoot guide that is developed from other repairs done in the field. My washing machine is not the only one pumping water on the floor. It Cost 89.00 for the service call. My Daughter paid 40.00 the same day to check her Maytag.

My husband and I bought our LG refrigerator about 14 months ago. We were not offered an extended warranty and did not think to purchase one in the midst of the chaos of purchasing our first new home. Setting that aside, I recently contacted LG with a problem and they refused to help us saying I needed to pay a service company to come out for something I feel they should take responsibility for. The issue being that a screw had come loose behind the ice maker and completely unaware, had dropped into our ice causing it to go into my husbands smoothie. While in the NutriBullet I heard a noise, assuming it was the ice, like it always does, then when it continued I went to stop the machine, it was too late, because just then the screw burst out the side causing a terrible mess everywhere. Now I need to replace the cup and chopped up blade to our NutriBullet. LG wants to take no responsibility whatsoever. I personally feel they should at least send me a replacement screw and possibly help pay for the replacements. My opinion is this was a defect and should be covered, being it was barely out of the warranty period. I am just glad that no one swallowed that screw causing physical damage. My advice... Be sure to get an extended warranty, if its not offered, ask for one! Products just arent built like they used to be! (It was quite baffling trying to figure out where a white screw came from... Until I traced it back to the ice machine, and there it was, an empty hole behind the ice container.) Now to find a replacement screw for it, I cant afford to pay for a service call for a little screw. Amazing how something so tiny can make such a big mess! :/

We purchased this LG refrigerator (LFXC24726D $3,022.99) from HDP in 2016 and have had the compressor to go out in Sept. 28, 2018. We lost all of our food, which they did not replace. This just happened to occur a year after the loss of my husband. This added to the agony of lifes challenges. Now less than 3 months later the freezer goes out. This is now the food in the freezer lost. LG initially said there would not be a charge for the repair. The technician arrives and tells me that there is a charge because this is a different issue not related to the compressor. On December 26, 2018 (my birthday) I called LG and was on hold for an extreme amount of time, only to get transferred again to speak to supervisor Sharon to tell me that there will be a charge; but as a courtesy they will give me a one time credit for the loss of my food in the amount of $125.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! $125.00 FOR WHAT HOUSEHOLD IS THIS!!! We lost all of our food in September 2018 and then on December 24, 2018 we lost all of the food in the freezer! I explained the age of this refrigerator to the LG representative Sharon, the issues and all the loss incurred. She proceeded to tell me that there is no one else I can speak to (before I could even ask) and that I would have to pay the service fee. LG SUCKSSSSSS!!! After all of the food we have lost at Christmas!! I am so sorry to have ever purchased this refrigerator. I am even more regretful to have any LG products in our home at this low grade of customer service. I am no longer an LG supporter and advise anyone who is spending their hard earned dollars to spend it where it will not be wasted like this because this just is not right. I AM SO UNHAPPY WITH LG!! Why would someone spend the money on a dishwasher to have to WASH the dishes BEFORE you put them in the dishwasher? There is always soap residue in the machine after each use. I was willing to agree on LG sending out a repair specialist of LG to look and/or repair but now I just want it removed from my home. I will NEVER EVER buy a LG appliance again. I will stand by the other brand.

This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set
This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set for 10 years with no problems made by Frigidaire, the dryer stopped heating. I gave in and decided it was time to upgrade my set (did a lot of shopping around). I purchased the set on 1/28/2012 (WT5001CW - Top load washer & DLE5001W-Electric Dryer) from HHGregg, cost $1701.58. On July 14th of 2012, the washer just stopped mid cycle with no power (clothes still wet inside it). One servicer in the state of KY services LG and could only get to it on 7/25. Power board was fried (order parts will be 3-5 business days to get and install because LG wont overnight the parts unless I paid for it). So now, we are looking at 8/1/2012 for a repair (the washer has a foul mildew odor since it has been filled with water since 7/14). With two young kids and a husband who works outdoors, not doing laundry isnt an option; so I have to pay a laundromat to get my clothes done since sitting for hours isnt feasible with a 20-month-old. LG was awful and couldnt care less if their product is bad and couldnt care less about a clients situation (I was lied to four times about finding another servicer to get to it faster and finally told that I would have to go with the first one). I was offered a laundry reimbursement on 7/26 (after at least 6 phone calls last week), but that was just a maybe. Once the washer is fixed, I can submit the claim for that and wait and see. I am disappointed in the service and product that LG offers. I was so excited to get this new pair and use them, but now I wish I had spent the extra money and gone Whirlpool or Maytag. I will never own another LG product again. Maybe I should sell this pair and cut my losses and move on.

I liked the refrigerator. A lot of people recommended it to me to use because they use the same good brand. It reliable and something you can depend on. It keeps a sense of clean. Kept my food frozen. All my food and drinking items was fresh. Every time I put some in the refrigerator it was wasnt harmed. I love my ice maker and all the good features on it. I could recommend the refrigerator to anybody to try out and use. I bought it at a reasonable price and value. The refrigerator has met my expectations. Kids lunches and all are fresh and well kept for the next day. All of my food is safe and ready to cook each time. The refrigerator has been good and I love it. I would recommend it to family and friends or anybody looking for a good brand.

The control panel cracked right through the power button within 2 months of it being brand new. Every time you close the door to start a cycle, it flashes its lights and then shuts off. Ive learned to shimmy the door side to side just right before closing it in order to get the cycle to start otherwise it just beeps at you and then shuts off. If it does start the cycle, it only actually finishes it about 50% of the time. You have to clean the trap every single wash - it seems like the screen is too fine and it catches so much itty bitty debris that it clogs it completely. I cant say how much I truly hate this dishwasher! I paid for 3 year warranty and am so annoyed that I have to use it so soon. Cmon LG you bloody crooks make a product that works.

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

I purchased a washer dryer from Sears. One year after buying the top of my dryer all lettering to set your dryer was gone. If you took cloth you could wipe it all off. That cover was replaced then I noticed the washer doing the same thing. And the new top put on dryer was losing all its lettering. I was told baking process, caused all the lettering to go away. The rusting of the unit is another subject not yet been told. I have a old Maytag 15 years old all lettering on it. I have never owned or seen anything worse than the LG. If they are so proud of the name it will wipe off also. If I built this washer and dryer I would not want my name on it and I guess they didnt either. Also the Odor from mold when you open the door after clothes been done will take your breath away. I leave the door open, and that dont seem to help.

LG is a brand that I highly favor from refrigerators to phones, TVs and other electronics. LG always meets my expectations and never disappoints me. Any repair thats needed is always affordable and easy. The current refrigerator I own is an LG and my favorite feature on it is that it includes wifi, so when my home wifi goes out I can still connect to the wifi on my refrigerator. Sometimes my refrigerator doesnt get as cold as Id like it to if I have too much food in it. It is a bigger refrigerator so I can pack it full, but the fuller it is the less cold it gets, and I often have to throw out food that requires a certain temperature of coolness so I have to be cautious of how much food I buy that requires refrigeration.

BUYER BEWARE. LG is the worst appliance brand to ever purchase. Please avoid getting anything from them, as I have had the worst experience with their customer service and major appliance I purchased from them. I purchased my refrigerator from hhgregg (which is now out of business, my luck) about 4 years ago. Maybe within a month of this huge investment, we started to have issues with the ice machine. We have had service call numerous times over the ice machine, which is quite shocking all for a simple standard feature on a refrigerator. Thank God we were still under warranty for the ice maker replacements, and even still after the repairs, we continued to have issues with the ice machine. After hhgregg went out of business, so did our warranty servicing. Then, about a month ago, the compressor went out. Thinking that LG would stand by their products and offer servicing, that was not the case. From reading past postings, they are completely aware of the problems with the compressor failing on this model. They had a technician come out who confirmed that the compressor went out and to fix would be $$$$ (costly), and offer a 90-day warranty. The technician recommended that it wasn’t worth it and to go with a completely different brand! I was in complete shock! However, I truly appreciated his honesty, since it confirms that LG dont stand behind their products. Such a huge waste of money and disappointment. So, unless you have money to throw away, stay away from LG refrigerators. MODEL: LFX31925ST.

I paid $900 for a top loading LG washer. Within the first 6 months the main board failed and had to be replaced. It took LG A MONTH TO FIX IT. It continued to require service and the repair company that LG uses is in no hurry to help. One service call was only a repair guy taking a picture of the model number. THATS IT. THATS ALL HE DID. They already had the model number anyway before coming to my house so this was a waste of my time, which I had to miss work for. This machine is total junk. Nothing works on it and the Energy efficient claim is a lie. It will double your electric and water bill.

Bought my LG REFRIGERATOR on November 18th, 2015. Right away it had a noise coming from it. The first of December 2018, woke up to a puddle of water in front of the refrigerator. Opened the door and the freezer was warm. Called LG, they sent a technician out, he had to replace the compressor and the circuit board, waited 1 week for parts to come in. Technician came and replace the parts. 2 days later, something happened AGAIN, waiting for another week for him to come out (because he was busy doing other repairs), he added Freon, that lasted for 2 days, then the day before Christmas eve 2018, he came out and put more Freon in it. The Technician CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. Now, its December 29th 2018, still not fixed. We been on the phone with LG for the last 4 weeks. All they keep saying is that they will send the repair guy out. Now mind you, I had to throw out over 500.00 worth of food in the beginning. They are going to refund us a check for 150.00 and the Technician already got paid for the job, 250.00. Hes been out 3 times so far, each time for at least 4-5 each time. All LG WANTS TO IS KEEP TRYING TO FIX IT. It seems to me with all of these problems that all of us consumers are having, that they would just replace them... Im still without a refrigerator and have 2 little kids. THEY DONT CARE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG REFRIGERATOR. FROM NORTHEAST OHIO.

We purchased the front load washer and dryer in December 2010. The pretty red ones! What a mistake! Actually, no problems with the dryer, except it doesnt seem to dry as well as it did in the beginning. I always have to add a click or two to the automatic dry time. The washer broke this June 2011. We had Geek Squad come out, it took four weeks for them to get back to replace the drum and three other pieces that attach to the drum. Four weeks! Then it broke again six weeks later. Same thing, we tried to get Geek Squad out again and they are so hard to work with to schedule a time. They should realize people have jobs! I called Best Buy to get help and they gave me LGs direct line. She was very helpful and friendly. But then the service tech called and his first words were, Do you agree to pay for this service call? and told us it was not the drum, it was a shock absorber. He hadnt even been to the house! He just told us this by the description. He wasnt coming out until we agreed on the phone to pay for the service call. Forget it. We are going to buy a new washer tonight. It will not be an LG. Such a hassle and disappointment, $1000.00 wasted. Pretty red machine...too bad it is a piece of crap!

I purchased 4 LG appliances with a home remodeling project. We moved into our house in late April. Last week, we cooked a pizza in the top oven. As with pizza sometimes, the cheese melted over the edge of the pizza stone onto the bottom of the oven. No biggie - it has a self-clean feature. When the pizza was done, I immediately set it to self-clean since it was already heated. It took 3 hours and heated my house to 80 degrees (note to self, do not self-clean an oven when its 95 degrees outside). The next morning I opened the oven to put my racks back in and to my surprise, all the self-cleaning feature had done was to BAKE the melted cheese even harder onto the surface. I had to take out (unscrew) the bottom tray and clean it with oven cleaner and 409. Its still not perfect. Very disappointed.

I unplugged it to try to reset it and when I plugged it in again it was completely dead and the clothes were still locked inside with a lot of water. The repairman from Sears (where we bought it) said it needed a new control board and the cost of the repair would be $661. We can buy a new machine for not much more so we declined. Updated on 01/20/2020: I had hoped to update my review to at least Satisfactory, but NO. An LG repair man was here this morning, the refrigerator is seemingly fixed - but we will see. The problem is that when my husband talked to LG last week they said the cost of parts would be NO Charge. Then the guy gets here today and says only the compressor is covered - but in order to replace the compressor he has to literally break another part which WE have to PAY FOR! How is that even a thing? I am floored by this shoddy engineering. So, it costed us $360 to repair a part covered under warranty. To top it off the man was so rude to me, kept leaving the front door wide open, including the screen door which HE locked open, and we have a dog. I kept closing the door behind him - take a hint. Then, he moves the refrigerator back (almost to where it belonged) and created 2 long black marks across 3 of our floor tiles. He intended to leave without even addressing that. I grabbed a rag and tried to clean it up and it would not come clean. He said Give me that! (just like that) and tried to wipe it up himself, to no avail. He then grabbed something out of his little bag and started scraping the floor. The marks started to fade a little. He then stands up, says Here and hands me a small piece of sand paper. Now I have to clean this up?? I could hardly believe my eyes, but by this point I just wanted him to leave my house. I have never experience such poor customer service. This is day 9 without a fridge, taking up space in neighbors freezer, buying ice to keep everyday items cold! My initial thought still stands, no more LG for me.Original review: While other manufacturers allow major appliance warranties to be transferred, as when you buy a house, LG does NOT. So, the new owner a $3,000 refrigerator that fails is completely out of luck. Sad, I will NEVER buy another LG product, and if I ever buy another house, the brand of appliances will be a factor in decision. Shame on LG!

I waited 40 years to have a nice kitchen, and I was taken in by the good looks -- and yes, I admit, the blue oven -- on the LG. What a mistake! We bought the 5 burner gas range, dishwasher and the microwave with the expanding vent. The dishwasher was a lemon out of the box -- Lowes just picked it up and left a new one. The microwave vent kept popping out, no way to secure it. We had to take the same product as a replacement because the bracket was drilled in the new tile wall. Waited TEN WEEKS for the replacement. I can faintly smell gas from this range; a snarky local repairman insists its my imagination. I entered a second complaint when the oven started to fluctuate wildly - set it at 350, it soars to 475 and then drops to 300. I love to bake and gave up on my holiday baking because this was so bad. The repairmen - from a second place - gave me a little lecture about reading the handbook and not using an independent oven thermometer. I havent cleaned the oven since these issues started -- Im afraid it will start a fire. I wasnt happy that LG never followed up on my complaints, either. I want to replace my refrigerator next -- you can bet it wont be an LG product. I am bitterly disappointed in this stove. I feel like Im stuck with it unless I just toss it to the curb. I could never sell it to anyone. Im calling again tomorrow and telling them I want it replaced, repaired or refunded -- I dont expect any satisfaction at all. I wish I had found this page before I bought LG products.

I called LG customer service. The first person Eddie hung up less than 5 minutes into the call. Called back to a person by the name of Luigie. I explained the issue to him, he had 2 ways to resolve the problem, 1: spend another $200 for a service call or 2: unplug my fully stocked refrigerator for a few days, when asked if LG was going to replace the spoilage, he said that LG does not assume that liability however, he did tell me that the issue is known by LG. For four years I operated my LG Top-Loading Washer, Model #WT4801CW, using only HE detergent, managing the size of loads, etc. It worked well. However, over the years the bleach dispenser clogged, a two-inch crack developed in the top of the washers casing, and then in mid-cycle, the wash plate and cap popped off - bouncing around inside of the barrel and failing to agitate. Of course, LG offered the extended coverage (using another company, I later found). I could either spend close to $300 and receive two months of coverage or for almost double that amount, receive a full years coverage. I elected to buy the two months policy. After about a week, a tech from a local repair company came out, evaluated my machine, and sent them a report, including pictures of the damage. This seemed correct and the tech was personable. However, after another week, I called to find the status of my repair. They told me that I had to call LG. Of course, after extended conversations with a number of customer service reps, I was finally passed to LGs sub-contractor who actually administers this coverage. They, based upon the report of the visiting tech, determined that I had abused my LG Top-Loading Washing Machine and they had cancelled my policy. How, I asked, did they determine that I was as fault and abusive for the wash plate and cap popping off and bouncing around in the machine in mid-cycle?In short, nothing that I could say made any difference. They had made a partial refund of my coverage amount, and therefore the case was closed. So here I sit, fuming that there is nothing that I can do to refute this action and LG Customer Service refuses to take any action either because the coverage is with their sub-contractor. Im out $100, now branded as a WASHING MACHINE ABUSER, and no closer to a repaired machine than before. I highly recommend that you refuse any extended coverage based upon my experience. Otherwise, I TOLD YOU SO. Let the buyer be aware.

When I called that number, your rep tech told me I needed to run the A/C on 82 degrees. Well if that is the case, no need for A/C as some nights it is 82 degrees here. He was very rude, told me I needed to clean my filter every week, and I clean it every three months. He also told me my unit did not have energy saver and I was standing in front of my A/C reading all the functions with all the controls on it. He had no clue what I was talking about. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live. It was the worst conversation I had ever had with a rep. He did not know what he was talking about. He was rude and disrespectful. I called on July 26, 2011, around 8 or 8:15 p.m. I am very dissatisfied and I will tell my friends that LG has the most unsatisfactory service that I have been exposed to! I will further seek and find a name brand that will stand behind their product, and have faith in their warranty.

Bought this brand and paired with washing machine. They have a very poor design that has own default sensor for drying. Dryer lint trap is annoying as the bottom part traps the lints and get stuck instead of going to the mesh. The bottom of the screen is a closed system that traps the lint into the opening. It needs a constant cleaning when noticed the dryer is not drying very well. Mainly this is the most annoying problem and the sensor of dryness of its own. I would not recommend this product. There are better ones out there that does the job properly that might be same amount of money or less.
