This very expensive washing machine will be the first and last appliance I ever purchase. It almost never completes a load of laundry without stopping at least one time and flashing UE, refilling the tub and starting over. It is not like I load the washer with towels on one side and socks on the other, I am not a moron. No matter how hard I try or how big or small the load, I can count on this pile of crap to make what should be an easy task a frustrating one. Dont waste your hard earned money on this or any other LG appliance. If you dont believe me google it.

Purchased LMXS30776S/02 fridge from H. H. Gregg in May of 2016, actually delivered in July. We were replacing a 10-year old Frigidaire gallery/professional side-by-side that was difficult to open fully due to our kitchen configuration. Aside from an occasional evaporator fan failure ($10.00 and 20 minute fix for a novice like myself), it never gave us a single problem and was a beautiful unit. The salesman raved about the durability of the LG linear compressor. We opted for a 5-year extended warranty (which is now defunct as the company that services this will not answer customer requests via their web page... which is the only form of contact). It began on 04/16/2019 and ended in the complete lack of cooling sometime around midnight. The fan is running, compressor is running but noisy, no cooling, coils room temperature. I attempted to contact LG, but they dont answer the phone... They send you a troubleshooting email and then refer you to expensive 3rd party repair services once out of the 1 year (criminal) parts and labor warranty. Looking at parts, a compressor for an average fridge (in a kit with isolators, drier, harnesses, valve, etc) is around $150.00 for the average Electrolux/Frigidaire or equivalent. Sure, there is some soldering. The same bare compressor for the LG is nearly $400.00 (because you can charge what the market will bear, forget being fair). The drier is an additional $60.00. Im guessing that installation is basically going to be less than the total of the parts as is customary, and then there is the charge for vacuuming it down and installing the 4.76oz of R134 refrigerant. Not to mention the warped subfloor under our fridge from the ice in the ice maker melting everywhere and the loss of a few hundred dollars in groceries. Again, criminal. There was a class-action lawsuit, however our fridge was brand new when this witch hunt began, so we had no reason to look for such a thing. Now that it has failed prematurely, I learn that warranties were extended for the few rather than the many. All in all, Id like to thank LG for being so classy about ignoring this issue and the customers who paid a small fortune hoping that you actually do get what you pay for or at least be treated fairly when a problem did arise... just to find out that a college dorm fridge was probably a better deal. Thanks, LG. I hope your reputation eventually catches up with you!

LG only allows LG-trained Technicians to repair LG appliances and when there is no LG-trained Tech in your area, youre out of luck even if the item is still under warranty. LG has the worst Customer Service Ive ever experienced... They just dont care. In our case, its a simple $30.- part for a range that I could install myself but after endless phone calls we got no help from LG. In 2018, were looking at a new washer/dryer combination and a new TV and you can bet that its not going to be LG.

I bought top of the line dryer from LG. I wanted a Kenmore, but was talked out of it at the store by an expert salesman. I’ve had nothing but problems with it ever since this time. It doesn’t dry clothes, sensors all go off and now I’ve contacted LG, they sent Callahan’s repair, they said I needed a part. I waited a week and then they cancelled the appt. I now am waiting for an “outbound” segment of LG to contact me to try and get a new company to fix the problem. This is while being placed on hold for at least an hour. Very disappointed in LG and will never buy their products again!

I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN! Bought the best energy saver machine LG had on the market. Bought the dryer to match. Has been horrible from day one! Leaking big problem. Sensors costing between $82-$100 EACH to replace. AND there are 5 to 6 per problem. LG could care less. How do these people remain in business??? Every repairman I called told me to throw it out in the trash before it drains you dry forgive the pun. LG SHAME ON YOU!

Would you board an airplane knowing that when its electronics fail, there is no way the passenger door can be unlocked? This is exactly how the WT5070CW LG washer is engineered. Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. This is LG engineering! This is LG customer service!

We just took our LG fridge to the dumps. Within the first year we were having problems with the ice maker and were advised to thaw it out and make sure the ice maker didnt freeze up. Then the compressor had went out after less than 4 years. The authorized service shop for northern Utah is Mark-A-Newt. They will not work on a LG fridge anymore. They said that in the last year they have only been paid once for the work they have done for LG, and they dont know of anyone who will work on them. They advised us not to buy another one. I plan on telling everyone I know about LG.

I did not know about this site when we purchased our LG products, freestanding double oven electric range, french door refrigerator and washer and dryer. Had the microwave but took it back right away as it was so dark inside and the light very dim. Bought a KitchenAid microwave and previously dishwasher. I have a problem with the self-clean feature of the oven. I have broiled steaks on the quick broil feature. Guess what when you use this feature, the fat will splatter inside the oven. After cooking the steaks I cleaned the oven but the floor of the oven in front of the door did not clean. It looked really baked on and you could not wipe it clean at all. I have the blue enamel oven. I did not touch this area - afraid I would void the warranty so called the executive warranty dept. Spoke with Wendy and she said they should be able to schedule an appt for Friday. Waited for the call but none came so we assumed they would show up on Friday.NO SHOW NO CALL. Called back and Wendy said her computer was down but we did get a response to schedule for the following Friday. Repair guy said it should not have done that either. Called Tech department and they told my husband to put wet paper towels over the area and use the easy clean feature. It did remove the baked on mess so they told us they would not warranty it. I was so madddd!!! I called and spoke with Brenda ** and she told me I didnt need to get an attitude with her. I explained that I am allowed to cook in the oven and that food will splatter (she said splatters are not covered by warranty). The oven has a self-clean feature and of course LG expects food to be splattered why else would you have a self-clean feature? I expect it to work and not to have to clean it first before I use the self-clean feature. The feature cleaned the oven beautifully except the foot and half area in front of the door.I told the rep that I felt it was a seal problem and it wasnt getting hot enough in that particular area to clean the food. She was going to check with her tech and emailed me that it was not covered under warranty. I emailed her back that was unacceptable. I wanted the general managers number and I was going to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. I will not give up. I know they want me to cause our warranty is about up also and if they stall me then they wont have to deal with it. Now I just need to figure out how to contact him but am filing a complaint with both agencies. I did not know about this site before buying our products.

LG refrigerator (French door/expensive) had to have compressor replaced at 2 yrs, $800+ in labor, parts took 3 weeks to arrive from Korea so without a ref for all that time. Now a couple years later it went out again, compressor, evaporator and other parts replaced. It doesnt cool and is deemed unrepairable. Have spent another $905 in labor. Asking LG to at least reimburse for labor but not getting good support. Product is not good quality apparently and parts take an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. Warranty support inadequate under the circumstances.

We had an LG refrigerator and over-stove microwave. Little things broke, bits of plastic, brackets etc., large annoyance factor. Also freezer at highest setting but does not get lower than 20 degrees (should be zero). Panel above door of microwave broke loose, could not be reset, had to hold it in place with tape. The brackets that hold up drawers for fruit & vegetables broke, we got a replacement, it broke again. This was all in the first year. The things just feel cheap and unreliable. We junked the microwave a year ago. Today, last straw for the fridge. The auto ice maker, over several weeks, was working, then stopped, then started again, then stopped, then started once more -- then went crazy! It would not stop pouring water into the ice tray. Had to cut off water supply. If we hadnt been home at the time and noticed, it would have flooded our kitchen. I have had it. Good Riddance LG!

I purchased a new LG refrigerator in June 2015 and about 3 years later it stopped working. It turns out to be a faulty compressor. Even though the compressor is warrantied for 10 years I still had to pay over $300 for repair. I thought it may have been just a fluke but exactly one year later the same thing happened again. When I contacted LG they once again expect me to pay for repairs out of pocket. It is highly unreasonable that a refrigerator would not last past 3 years and then the repaired compressor would once again failed in just a year. Am I expected to have to pay $300 a year from now on to have an operating fridge? Ive owned this fridge for well under 5 years and this should not be the case. Needless to say I will not be purchasing another LG appliance.

I wish I could give LG a big fat ZERO because that’s what they deserve. I purchased a side by side LG refrigerator two years ago. Six months ago, the ice maker stopped working. Then it started working again four weeks ago, but only for a couple of days. Then the freezer stopped freezing. All my food thawed out and ended up in the trash. Then a few days later, the fridge itself stopped working with the exception of the water. Called LG customer service. They sent someone out five days later (after all the food in the unit ended up in the trash). The tech said he changed the compressor. The following day, the unit is still not working AND now the water isn’t working either. Tech came back out. Said the water line got tangled but now it’s fixed. Over the next five days, the unit worked for a few hours, then stopped. More food spoiled. LG sent the tech out a third time. This time he claims it was the Freon and possibly the motherboard. He left saying it should work now. It didn’t. Now it’s been another five days, more spoiled food. LG scheduled an appointment for yesterday. No one showed up. Called them. They apologized for the confusion and said someone would be here today. No one showed up again. Called them again. Now they said someone will be here tomorrow. Their products stink and so does their customer service. I will never buy another one of their products again!

I bought the LG model LDF7932ST in 2006. It was supposed to be top of the line. Quiet, efficient, etc. and expensive - $1200. From day one, it was noisy and the smell was so bad when I ran it, I would set it to go on at 2 am when I was sleeping. Not to mention, it took 2 hours. It made all kinds of noises. The smell was vile. Then the bottom rack was always getting stuck on the door seal gasket on bottom right. Then the damn wheels would come off. Couldnt move the basket in or out. I would always have to push the bottom draw towards the left, be very careful with it. It was extremely annoying. Always getting stuck. Now the strip of metal that holds the rubber seal has actually come off of the side of the inside liner. Now I cant even push the draw in or out at all. Spoke to tech. He confirmed over the phone that it could not be fixed and that he had seen it before. So now I have to buy a new dishwasher and it wont be an LG. This is a flaw in their design. Their products stink.

They sell the LG product where my wife works and we purchased a refrigerator from there. But when it was delivered, it was damaged by the people that delivered it. I was trying to get it repaired and it was a complete nightmare dealing with LG. They w were absolutely horrible and pathetic. I’ve been dealing with an issue since March and it just got completed last week. That’s how long I’ve been dealing with this. Also, those people don’t even know what the part numbers are for their own product. They tell you they’re gonna call you back, but they never do. If I don’t initiate a phone call, I never hear from them. Then they tell you they’re gonna follow up, but they never follow up. Aside from that, I paid for a part to come to me and when it came, it was the wrong part. They’re liars over there and they tell you what you wanna hear. But once you hang up with them, they’re done with you. The only good thing about LG was the service tech that they sent out here last Thursday and everything’s working fine since he’s been out. Still, I’m never buying another LG product and Id never recommend it.

We had this microwave for a few months and it started tripping the breaker. We had the breaker and all the electrical parts checked - nothing. We called to have it checked and repaired. They replaced a couple of parts in the unit - it still would trip the breaker. Called again and told them to replace the whole thing. Got a new microwave - and every now and then it will trip the breaker. Our old microwave NEVER tripped the breaker or had any issues with it, we only replaced it because we were remodeling our kitchen with all new appliances.

If only I had checked for reviews prior to my purchase. I moved to Georgia from California a little over a year ago and was so excited about getting a new washer/dryer. I went to Home Depot (its a small town, so the store selection is limited) and found what I thought was a really nice washer/dryer combo from LG. I couldnt have been more disappointed. The washer takes FOREVER - mostly because it continually rebalances the load - all to no avail. After multiple attempts the washer gives up and chimes to tell me to come and rebalance it. Now - Ive had washers before (all with agitators, which this one doesnt have) and one - sometimes two - rebalances corrects the problem... NOT with the LG - sometimes I have to rebalance 6 or 8 times in order for the load to complete the cycle. Then I have to repeat the process with the next spin. It doesnt just happen with odd weight loads or odd sized - its nearly everything. I HATE THIS WASHER. DONT BUY ONE!!!

In August 2009, I purchased $5000 worth of house appliances (refrigerator, range, washer and dryer) with extended warranties from Best Buy. The LG refrigerator, LSC26905SB, has not operated properly since day one. Best Buy came out once every three months with an inoperable ice maker. After the first year, Best Buy informed me there was no extended warranty on the refrigerator. I called Best Buy corporation and explained that the online customer service representative forgot to give me an extended warranty on the refrigerator. They told there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to 2012, I am replacing the ice maker chute which is $289 and the ice maker tray drips which is another $200. I believe Best Buy intentionally left the warranty off of the refrigerator because it is a piece of garbage. Of course, I requested a copy of my receipt and Best Buy stated they dont have a copy.

Ive been trying for a month to get service on my dishwasher. Although the 1 year warranty is gone, the board is warrantied for 5 years. First time I called LG they gave me 2 phone numbers for 3rd party service in my area. I called them several times and never got a call back. I set out to look for my own 3rd party service and contact Sears because they advertise that theyll fix any appliance whether you purchased it from them or not. The repairman showed up this morning and told me that Id have to call LG to get approval from them to have Sears be the 3rd party vendor. The service fee would be $99. That was OK with me.I called LG and was told that they had a local LG authorized service in my city. I got transferred and spoke with them. I was told that they would schedule a repair if I paid $125 up front and then the charge me for the installation of the part (which was free). That would have amounted to over 30% of the total original cost of the machine. I have no idea what to do now. I was able to submit an email to service to see if I get a better answer. Regarding other reviews about how dishes stack inside the washer, I have to agree. I always had issues with glasses breaking because they fell over. I change the way I put them in. The thing I liked about the dishwasher was the short Turbo cycle. It was 58 minutes and did a good job. If you buy an LG Dishwasher be sure to purchase the extended warranty.

Major issue: EASY CLEAN is not. There is no self clean feature which seems unbelievable in a $775 range. We like others (we with two new knees) used the easy clean three times exactly how suggested in Manual. Also after 2 phone calls (and later 3 emails) was told to bake at 375 degrees with water (like in easy clean method). Later told to try mixing vinegar and baking soda. NO luck. If I may also mention setting the timer to either bake start/stop or to simply use the timer usually turns oven off. Not sure how to overcome or understand that process. There are a few other suggestions but if only the oven would get clean we could use the oven w uncovered dishes, steaks, etc.

First contact on Feb 23rd for compressor replacement, 5 years into a ten-year compressor warranty. Lengthy wait on hold,13 verifiable calls later, as of March 5th, there has been no authorization for a compressor to be shipped to the service vendor. Service vendor made 7 of 10 calls in one day. LG will not provide a direct number to reach the same person twice. They will provide you with a badge number and first name. When you call back, there is no way to get back to the same person. Today they tell me it takes five days to process a parts authorization. They also tell me it will be another 7 to 10 days before they ship the parts once they are ordered.Once that happens, the service provider has to order the parts, and reschedule service at the home location. Both my self and the service provider have been sent to another company called Encompass who then has you start all over. I was told on March 1st that the authorization was in my email, all I had to do was open it. On March 2nd, I was assured it would be processed in 24 to 48 hours. Today, that has grown to 5-7 business days to approve parts. This has left me no choice other than to be a month or more without a refrigerator. The original purchase price was just over $2700.00 on sale.

The 10 year warranty that covers the compressor is not worth the paper it is printed on. My fridge is running hot to get it fixed under warranty I have to pay $250.00 for labor. The only thing covered is the part. I asked how long will it take to change the compressor, 2 to 3 hours Im told. At what cost per hour, cant tell me that. I asked if they could come out if it is the compressor can they leave it and I will have it installed, told no. I asked if I could find my own certificated LG technician told no they will not supply the compressor. So the only option is pay the $250 or risk having someone charge me double because LG cant tell me how much it will cost per hour for a tec. We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We really enjoyed the product, and they were aesthetically pleasing, but a refrigerator’s supposed to refrigerate things.

Had this machine for 10 months. Lid gets locked with wash inside, does not always spin out water. I have had clothes come out 1/2 wet, the other 1/2 dry. Today I ruined 3 pairs of pants. I washed a load of white and used the bleach dispenser (Dont do It). It did not dispense all the bleach. The 2nd load seems to be ok. The 3rd load of dark clothes, 3 pairs of pants are bleach stained. I have also had strange spots appear on clothes. They werent there when I put them in, I have had to rewash multiple items because they do not come clean. Also using a stain or spot remover is a must. Want my old machine back. It might have been old but it got my clothes clean.

We bought our LG side by side, door in door fridge in June 2017. In less than 2 years, our icemaker quit working. We went through all the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing worked. We spent $95 to have someone come out to diagnose the problem... only to diagnose it incorrectly which cost an additional $180. Another service person was sent out and called into the LG center resulting in diagnosis of the heater element in freezer door not working causing the ice maker to not produce ice. We have been told that the entire freezer door has to be replaced which would be extremely costly. We already spent over $1500 on the fridge and to now in 2 years have to put hundreds of dollars into it for repair. Im outraged and disappointed in the quality of this product.

Purchased an LG dishwasher less than 5 months ago. We were doing a kitchen remodel so it has only been used the last month or so. I have never been so dissatisfied by an appliance. The dishwasher is designed poorly (we purchased the unit with the three racks - the top rack being slim and designed for spatulas, knives or small items). There is no correct way to load this machine as all the racks and prongs fall over during the cycle. The dishes are not clean - I hand wash everything before it enters the machine and they are worse when they come out than when they go in. The machine takes over 2 hours to run on a normal wash/dry cycle and the dishes are not dry, they come out saturated. The machine is not dry and requires cleaning after every cycle. The soap spills out of the door and somehow ends up on the outside of the front door. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever used and if I am unable to return it, I will feel criminal giving it away for free. I recommend not trying your luck and going with a different brand. This cost over $800. Awful.

Sealed system on 18 month old LG refrigerator (LFXS30766D-01) failed. It was under warranty, but LG has been unable to find anyone in our area to service our refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks now. They have passed the buck to someone else to try to find someone to service it. Nothing has been done. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find someone to fix it. One LG approved company came to diagnose the issue, charging $100 and stating they were unable to fix the problem and good luck finding someone - no-one around here wants to work on these refrigerators. LG is NOT standing behind their warranty and is not fixing nor reimbursing for their failed product.

Our LG range model LRE307578B/01 stopped heating in early December 2013. Called extended warranty company for repair service. Nite Owl Appliance Repairs, Inc. responded and evaluated our range on December 17 saying a relay and heating element were needed. On December 18 the appliance repair company said one of the parts had to be ordered because the LG warehouse did not have the part. Over 2 1/2 months have past and still no parts. Have contacted LG, the repair company and purchasing company (Home Depot) for help to be told parts are on order. Appliances break, I can handle that situation, but waiting for over 2 1/2 months for parts seems beyond reason. I truly believe our range is a lemon and should be replaced. Thank you.

I have had this washing machine 3 years now. We have two kids so we do a load a day. The machine washes satisfactorily. But then again, most washing machines do. What I would like to caution you against are the high cost of spare parts you WILL NEED as well as the complexity of repairing this machine. When I finally bought this machine, I had read a few reviews about how the rubber gasket inside the door started to smell badly after 6 months or so. I was so enticed by the steam part of the deal that I overlooked this point. Sure enough this Tromm washer has a huge rubber gasket inside the door. This part is very hard to clean as it has a concealed ledge inside. IT WILL START SMELLING after a few months of use no matter how much you clean the tub with bleach or how many times you clean the gasket. Your clothes will smell rotten after a wash. And when they dry they smell musty. This part which costs $130 can be changed by an appliance repair service. It is very hard to do it yourself because the machine has to be opened. Total cost for replacing the gasket is $253. Next... the drain pump will break also. Give it a couple of years or so. The drain pump costs $60 to replace and with the service call that comes to another $210 total. I was amazed the work that was needed to change this pump. First of all, the pump is located in the worst possible place, and the Tromm needs to be opened in multiple places to access this pump. The job took 45 minutes to replace the pump.I am now looking into a Whirlpool clothes washer and after investigating the same parts it seems they are much cheaper and much easier to change if the machine needs to be repaired. I for one will not be buying another LG steam washer.

I purchased an LG Top loading washing machine from PC Richards in Levittown NY. I purchased the Machine in June 2020 and the machine has broke twice already! I called PC Richards to repair the machine as I bought the extended warranty. The machine is leaking from the bottom and it sounds like a lawn mower!! PC Richards was horrible. I have an elderly mother I care for who is on Hospice. When I asked how long until a repair operator can come out to fix they said a week or 2!!! That is ridiculous. I have water in my house and I cant use the washer. I have 6 people with no clean laundry. I spent over a $1000.00 for this machine and the best PC Richards can do is say it is what it is. I feel like a prisoner. How am I supposed to care for my dying parent who needs clean sheets and laundry daily!!!

My LG refrigerator was only 2 months old when it died. It took customer service four weeks to the day to get it fixed. One week later, it was not working again. They told us they would give us our money back so we purchased a new refrigerator from another manufacturer. Two days later we were told they were going to fix it. Also they refused to pay for the food we lost. Now it has been an additional three weeks (so two months since it broke) and we are still waiting on parts and the new refrigerator is still broken. At least we purchased a different refrigerator and have something that works. Hopefully we will get our money back on the LG refrigerator. What a headache! Save yourself some frustration and avoid purchasing this refrigerator!

We purchased a $2000.00 refrigerator from Lowes a week ago and we already have to have the repair man out to fix a leak. He came to the first appointment right on time, diagnosed the broken line, and said he would order the part and call when it came in and to set the next appointment. Great! Well this was on Tuesday, it is now Saturday. I decided to call to see what is going on. I got a hold of the customer service rep and he advised me that the appointment was set for today being Saturday, between 1 and 3. I let him know that I had not received any call to set up any appointments, but OK Im home. It is now 5:30 pm, Saturday and no repair man, no call. I called Customer Service and the rude woman on the phone said he will be there between 1 and 5 pm. I explained to her the time I was told and she proceeds to argue with me, so I bit my lip and said OK. I called at 5:45 pm because we are getting ready to make dinner and didnt want to be in the techs way and him in ours. I believe I got the same rude person and she said he will be there when he gets there. Lessons learned: (1) dont purchase anything from Lowes (Lowes did say I could bring it back, which is a hassle because it is full and I dont have anywhere to put the food); (2) dont buy anything from LG. Horrible customer service.

We purchased a new LG Washer & Dryer 05-06-2013. The washer has been banging very loudly while the water adjustment turns on & off during its cycle. Also we have noticed a strong mildew smell in the washer as well. I have had to replace the hot & cold water valves due to this erratic banging of our plumbing pipes. We had contacted the LG contact people & they have not been cooperative/helpful. They gave me names & numbers of repair services that do not service our area. Called them the next week & was told a service would be contacting me within 3 days. However, no one had called us & they gave me conflicting info once again. We cannot afford to pay for any more plumbing problems due to this still erratic washer banging problem. Our other unit we had worked the same way. This unit does & it never gave us this disturbing problem. Sincerely!!!!!

I have had 2 service calls and still not fixed. The 1st service was replacing the sensor, 2nd was motherboard and next appt. will be all circuits/fuses on top of the washer which needs replaced from a continuous leak for long time that has caused rust and the serviceman was shocked when touched the unit. I have missed work for each visit, which thought would take care of the problem and be able to use the washer, month plus later.. Im still waiting for this unit to be fixed. LG is a name brand and it should be out of service this long without getting the washer replaced. I can understand if it were couple years old but this unit is barely over a year old. With all these problems this washer was a lemon from the get go and has never worked properly. When I purchased my first BRAND new washer, I did research and bought top of the line or so I thought I did. This has been huge disappointment and LG service center has been disappointment as well. This should have been replaced with a new one. As a single mother and live from pay to pay, this was a big purchase for me. I have 2 kids and laundry mat is the last place I wish to be spending my time and money considered my washer purchase was over 600 and only year old!!! Time and money and loss work time is VERY FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING! I wish to buy the matching dryer but now Im considering different brand! LG make this right or I spread the word all over the internet media. VERY POOR RATING!!!UPDATE... 2 months later still broke. Will not replace or respond to my 20+ emails to resolutions@lge.com; lg.care@lge.com and website chat was absolutely worthless conversation and would not help me at all! Basically they are live chat with no phone or contact w/lg outside of chat room. So, not sure of their purpose??? ANYWAYS... LG does not care about the consumer. They will not reply! SMH!

Literally we went the entire summer without a fridge. It worked for a while and now it is not working. Was told by a repairman that LG is the worst fridge anyone can buy. He has many calls on this brand (LG)... We lost more money on food bc we had to unplug fridge for 48 hours and plug in for another 24 to get to temp. Brand new LG top freezer refrigerator was replaced twice. None of the freezers could maintain a zero or lower temp - sometimes getting up to as much as 15. LG told me theyd send someone out but since the problem is random, if it isnt above zero, they will charge me for the call. INSTEAD of researching what LG has done in the past to fix this problem and just doing that repair, they insist I have to wait until the fridge constantly fails. Which is may or may not. Meanwhile, I cant protect food from freezer burn and spoilage. I called LG. Was disconnected. Called again. was put on hold 15 minutes and was disconnected. Called again. Was told someone would call me back. No one did. Emailed asking what the fix was for this issue and was told to read the owners manual and that I had to call their 800 number to talk to a person. The email contained a link to a chat which told me I was not authorized to use. So I have a new refrigerator with a useless freezer and no help from LG. All they need to do is tell me how the problem has been fixed for others. Instead, they not only lost a customer, I will caution others not to deal with LG.

I have top load LG smart drum - worst washer ever. UE ERROR CODE unbalanced load. Takes all day to do 2 loads because machine has to be babysat - it continually fills with water to balance load. Also it does not clean clothes well. The technician said it does not clean clothes well because I have well water (it is filtered and very clean water) and said that this washer would not work unless I did very large loads. He said 5 towels at one time not enough. Also LG will not do anything about it unless it is deemed un-repairable. Their technicians are trained with a list of excuses not to deem un-repairable as you can see above. Our story starts with a happy purchase of an LG Refrigerator (LGXS24623) at Home Depot in September 2018 that was supposed to arrive in about 6 weeks. It never got to us, we called Home Depot to inquire and they said, “Oh sorry, it’s lost, we’ll see what we can do, it will take another couple of weeks”. Long story short, we received our fancy new fridge. We connected, set it up and after about 4 hours we opened the door and it wasn’t cold. We changed the temperature a bit and waited a bit more, but nothing changed. It was warmer in the fridge than in the kitchen. Time to call LG… Long phone call, more waiting, nothing, fridge still warm. It was a useless service, they were not able to help. Called LG again in the morning, on Sunday. They booked a server technician for Thursday or Friday which meant 5 more days with no fridge. They also asked for some paperwork which we scanned and sent the same night. Thursday, I receive a voicemail from the technician that he has no paperwork from LG and he’s tentatively setting up a visit for Saturday afternoon. Called LG, had more discussions on the phone, they promised to give an answer in the same day… I did not hear from them again. On Friday I finally managed to get in touch with the technician, who promised to come Saturday between 3-5. He finally showed up at 5:45, I guess they are very busy fixing LG’s faulty fridges, to tell us the compressor is dead and left to order a new compressor. We will not be ordering from LG in the future, the fridge reviews are good, I cannot tell you anything about that since mine never worked, but the LG service is the worst you can find. They never saw a problem in letting a customer live without a fridge for weeks, one service agent had the audacity to tell us he grew up without a fridge… I wonder if this is in their protocol.

He then came back out, put the fan motor on. It worked until November 2015, I came home about 11 pm, water all over the floor, everything in my refrigerator and freezer melted or spoiled. I again called HH Gregg. Once again they told me to call L.G. I called them, told them it was broke again, they told me it would be 8 to 10 days for someone to come out.I tried to talk to these people, they sent me to a call center overseas, they said they would not replace the unit. I then called the executive center in Alabama, worst customer service ever. It is now three weeks later, 4 dates before thanksgiving, still no fridge. Finally a LG tech came out, said it needed a new computer, a new compressor, and that there were some more problems. 5 hours later he took photos and left. Said beyond repair. Next day he calls, said they were not going to replace it and that he had to try to fix it. I called L.G. back, they were horrible, said I didnt have a choice they were not replacing it. So now the tech has it back together. Said he hopes it works. I will never buy another LG product, I would discourage anyone from buying LG. The worst People to deal with!

I purchased a condo in October 2010. The condo came with an almost new LG washer/dryer (WM2101). The washing machine has not lasted even 5 years. About a month ago, the washer shut down with an Le error. I called the LG 800 help number and was instructed on how to reset the machine. Multiple attempts at resetting did not resolve the problem. After determining an authorized LG service provider in the southern California area, I had a service representative come to assess/diagnose the error. The service provider could tell me that from the serial number of the machine, that it had been manufactured in November 2009 - less than a year before I purchased the condo. Now, it is May 2015 - not even 6 years since date of manufacture - and the machine is shot. The Le error is due to worn out bearings in the machine. During the less than 5 years that I have owned this condo (and the washer/dryer), the machine has not even been used that much. The cost of repair of the machine (by this authorized service provider) would exceed the cost of a new LG washing machine. Not only would the cost of repair of the washing machine be excessive, the LG service provider did not recommend keeping the existing LG dryer, which was stacked on top of the washer. So, I would have to pay for removal of both machines - with an additional cost of $160 to unstack the machines. As far as I am concerned, I never intend on purchasing another LG appliance. I am appalled that the US government allows companies to prey on US consumers with the current quality of workmanship of manufactured goods - especially large (and expensive) appliances. What happened to appliances that lasted 20+ years - or even 10 years? These large appliances that do not last but 5 years are ending up in our landfills - or having to be disassembled for recycling. Environmentalists and legislators - where are you?

Jumped thru lots of good including uploading receipts to prove purchase date, amount paid, etc. Waited 12 days for the only repair service for warranty work & the guy showed up in my home with my elderly Mother & my Grandson with no mask or gloves for COVID precautions & did diagnosis only to confirm what our approval codes said. But, he doesnt travel with parts. Ordered them expedited to ship to our house & he said to call 800# if they came in early as first open appointment was another 11 days away. They came the next day, but when I called they said I had earliest time already. 2 days before the appointment, I got a text notifying me that I had a new appointment on 6/3 instead of 5/16. Buyer beware before you consider purchasing an LG washer and dryer. I have owned mine for 2 and 1/2 years. Thank goodness I got an extended warranty on the washer, after 13 months I noticed that my clothes were not getting cleaned and most of the time there were dry spots where no water even got on the clothes. Could not count the times I have washed the load twice. The repair man is here again (on my $) and it does not look good. The dryer has never dried well, always have to dry each load several times. FYI, there are only 2 people in the family and most of my wash loads are very small.

So far I have not experienced the issue of mold on the door, and I have watched carefully. My 7 year old Maytag was very rough on various fabrics; the LG is cleaning clothes much better with less water and less Tide. I think the Maytag, for all its advertising, should have lasted longer. Maybe I am naive.

I placed calls to LG to arrange for my 3 year old refrigerator to have a new compressor installed. I had a local company confirm this was the reason for the breakdown. The first call at the beginning of the year did not ever end up with a response or resolution (someone was supposed to contact me). I waited several months and contacted LG again. The support desk had me upload all of my warranty information to their site through a provided link. Again, I was assured that someone would contact me to arrange this repair within a short period of time. Again, this did not ever occur.Today, almost a year later, I have purchased a new appliance because keeping my food in a cooler for 10 months was not an option. I have posted the fridge for scrap on Kijiji and a local person responded within an hour to remove it from my home. Too bad that LG couldnt have responded as efficiently. A lot of wasted money in both purchase price and time trying to resolve/arrange the warranty. My questions are these. How is it that a manufacturer is not held accountable for failure to provide what they are legally responsible for? What recourse is there when this process fails? At what point does one give up because they have spent hours and hours trying to get the warranty service? Like many Canadians, I am a working individual and dont have endless hours to dedicate to continued follow-up. Appliances are expensive purchases yet there seems to be no process where the companies are made responsible for providing the warranty coverage they espouse. My hope is that this changes in the future.

I bought an LG French door refrigerator November of 2014. Just before the end of the 1 year warranty the refrigerator started making noises. I didnt get around to calling LG until the beginning of December 2015. LG refused to help me unless I purchased an extended warranty for $250. I later called an appliance repairman and was told the noise was my compressor going out. After a year of service?! Are you kidding me?! I proceeded to call LG back to get the compressor replaced (which has a 10 year warranty), they once again wouldnt help me unless I purchased the extended warranty for $250. Really? You spend $3000 on a refrigerator and call for a repair under the warranty, after a year and half (at this point) and you have to spend more money to repair your piece of $3000 junk?! DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS. THEIR WARRANTIES ARE JUNK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU!

LG presented a visually impeccable top loading washer. I was impressed with its sleek look, detailed function keys, and seemingly user-friendliness. I purchased this sleek machine from Lowe’s and parked the box in my basement anticipating opening day. As life would have it, I didnt have the big reveal until almost two months later. Opening night was great. Old Kenmore was removed after 15 years. I was due for an upgrade, I believed. LG was it! Water hooked, check; machine leveled, check. All components checked and re-checked. And then we tried a load. The auto select set me up to wash for more than an hour, but I looked beyond that. I questioned the few drops of detergent needed as well as the few drops of water the machine used, but I looked beyond those too. I walked away and was summoned back to my laundry room by the banging of this beaut in the spin cycle. The machine almost met me at the stairs; its movements were so profound! We checked, doubled, tripled everything - the very spot where my Kenmore sat for years was no longer good enough for King LG. We must have done something wrong, so we tried again. After all, this was an LG!That was enough for me! Returned this fabulous looking useless piece of junk to Lowe’s who informed me that their return policy was seven days on appliances! I called LG, per Lowe’s instructions. Both LG and Lowe’s suggested a repair man. To repair what?? The once-used over buttoned, fab looking ornament? Disgusting! LG should be ashamed of this pile of junk and should stick to what they know. These corporations, including the retailers who carry these over priced inferior products have no integrity and should be held accountable! Im not done with Lowe’s or LG! This is way more than about money! But do not waste yours, please...

My refrigerator stopped cooling after only 3 years. It is under warranty and the manual says that service is 365 days per year and 24 hours per day. It is a lie. After 11 days it has not been fixed and we have had no help. We have a household of 6 with 2 seniors, 1 essential worker and 3 young children. This has been a hardship and we let the company know this. We have spent many hours calling, texting and emailing without any end in sight.

Lg refrigerator LFX31925st - This is in addition to my previous review from a couple of weeks ago. A company that LG sent out to look at the unit came out and replaced the main control board and fan panel for the second time. It got rid of the error for a few hours and then by that night the unit completely shut down and when I checked the temp the refrigerator compartment a few days ago, it was 85.4 degrees F and a little warmer in the freezer compartment. LG is still refusing to work with us at all on the issue. I have contact the Texas Attorney General and the New Jersey Attorney General (LG corporate office location) for assistance in resolving this matter.

I purchased the LG 6.3 cu ft self clean oven in black stainless. 12 months in (even though I baby it and am very careful) the paint is chipping off. Now 1 month later the fan motor growls every time I use the oven. I called LG and asked if they would cover the repair simply because it is so very recently out of warranty. No. No chance. $125 to have a technician assess it and then whatever the parts and labor are to repair it. If the product is only designed to last 13 months perhaps it should be cheaper than $1100. I have used it approximately 300 times for about an hour max each time. So 300 hours of use should be all you should expect.

LG is supposed to be one of the top-rated for reliability but Im disappointed that after two years, I started having problems with my LG refrigerator. I didn’t expect that. It just stopped working and the lead time for getting somebody in here to repair it was ridiculous. I had to do three repair jobs which took about two months. It would work off and on so the food would get all defrosted and Id throw stuff out. Id reset it and the fridge would work for a little while then the same thing would happen. The contractors that came were good but the first repairman didn’t fix the problem. I told the service repair people that the guy told them that a part needed to be replaced and to order that part. It turned out they did not order it. So, that delayed everything a lot ‘cause they didn’t do what they were told and they didn’t listen to me. The second repairman who was an authorized LG service guy told me that the first guy diagnosed it wrong. The second guy figured it out and fixed it. The refrigerator is working fine now but its making a little bit more noise than it ever has.

Now out of warranty and last service technician says its the main wire harness. Called LG service. Horrible. Besides arguing that the fridge is out of warranty. Then tells me the wiring cant be replaced anyway. Now stuck with a shiny $2700 lawn ornament. Stay away from LG. We purchased a model WM3270CW Front Loader washer from Best Buy on 06/25/18
We purchased a model WM3270CW Front Loader washer from Best Buy on 06/25/18. This machine was only used very carefully in our home. After washing a small load of pillow cases and face cloths I removed them and dried them in the dryer. About two hours later, on 8/30/19, we were sitting in another room of our condo and heard a loud crash. I walked around trying to find the location of the noise. It had come from the washer. The glass on the door had imploded into the machine tub. The door was ajar for air circulation so some of the shards also were on the floor of the laundry room. About an hour later there was another loud sound. This time the outer edges of the part of the door that had landed into the tub exploded off. After various calls to LG and lots of conversations to try to get rid of me, I was told that they were referring this problem to their safety department. They kept promising return calls within 24 to 48 hours but they never came. I finally was given a case number and was connected to their Escalation Team Department. This last conversation resulted in a visit from a technician from A&E Factory services on Sept. 10. He informed us that there is no record at LG of a door ever imploding. He said that LG believes we hit the door or caused the problem ourselves. We did not hit the door. No one in our home hit the door and there is no way that we caused the problem. We did not cause the glass to implode! We are fortunate that there was no one in the room to be injured by the flying glass when the door imploded. I believe this machine needs to be recalled. There is a serious safety issue here that LG is not willing to recognize. Thank you for reading this. As you can see I am very upset. LG is really just trying to get rid of me and my complaint. They said this has never happened before. Now my online research has proved that this has happened to other people with LG machines. I am concerned about even using this model LG if it is ever repaired. We had a previous LG Front Loader for 8 years and had to replace it because of leaking and mold. I still have the dryer and bought this one so it would look almost the same as the dryer. We were told that the mold issue has been taken care of with the way to keep the door ajar. It is much newer and is obviously not as well built even though the other one had several bad issues such as mold and leaking. I would never buy another LG appliance. The company does not want to know that there is a fault with this current washer. Someone could have been seriously injured.

My wife and I purchased the LG top load washing machine with the Smart Drum. Trust me - it is anything but smart! Constantly goes UE (uneven). You have to constantly monitor it or it will waste tons of water and electricity trying to fix the UE all by itself, usually with failed results. I have no idea why washing machine engineers have no idea how to keep a drum from spinning off balance. A couple of rollers or a track at the top would fix the problem for any washer. Idiotic to me.

Worst mistake Ive made, buying LG refrigerator Model LFX25976ST French door, freezer on bottom and ice cube and water dispenser in the door. Within the first year the ice make was giving me problems and after numerous service calls and complaints, I finally had to pay to have it replaced. Now mind you, this the 7th year of owning this piece of crap. In not quite 7 years Ive four service calls, including one where I had to replace the intake valve for the water at the bottom rear of the refer. And another service charge and parts charge. Now its becoming a money pit. Here I am 4 months short of 7 years owning this refer. And the compressor goes bye bye, This time its a $65.00 service call to tell me that it would cost me another $1,569.00 to replace it. Now Ive had enough. Went out and bought a new refrigerator and am hopeful that its going to be a better experience than the piece of ** LG that I had! My recommendation is to never buy a LG product. The service tech was very happy, a five minute call and made $65.00 for it. He said the letters on the refrigerator should read GL in stead of LG standing GOOD LUCK and I believe he was right. Anyone that buys any LG Product deserves what they get.

Bought our LG gas range 2 years ago. Less than 6 months, one knob broke off. I called Best Buy and they said to call LG. LG said I need to purchase knobs. The knobs are expensive. They are made of a plastic and do not have the strength to take the pressure. After swapping knobs, they all eventually cracked. I do not recommend to purchase the oven from LG. Unfortunately, it sounds that they are replacing them to their customers. We were not told that. It is dangerous when you cannot turn off burners. We bought a front loading washer and dryer. About three years later, the washer is shaking so hard it sounds as if it will tear down the walls and cave in our floor. The washer shakes so hard, it moves across the floor knocking into other items as well as the dryer. We called LG and were told it is no longer under warranty, but shaking was due to an unstable floor. I told her the floor has not changed, only the washing machines performance. The representative stated that all of the washers shake a little, this was to be expected. I asked if there was a part that could be replaced to stabilize the machine. She said no, there was no such part.A few days later, I looked up an appliance repair company that works on LG appliances in our area. The repairman told me LG had this problem and it just needed the struts replaced. So we had them replaced. It was better, but not as stable as before, not like any of the previous washers Id had throughout my life. I trusted LG to be an upgrade in quality. It was not. After only six months, it is as bad or worse than before the struts were replaced.Additionally, weve put heavy duty pads underneath. It just walks right off the pads, tipping over as if it will fall on its side. This washer is worse than the old wringer type with the incredible noise and the bouncing and moving. My husband and I have to restrain it or turn if off. And like some of the other owners, it does have a stinky, moldy smell. Mold is not normal in a machine designed to clean. Ive been leaving the door open after each wash, spraying inside the drum with Lysol or Windex.Cleaning clothes is an effort toward good hygiene. Moldy water defeats that purpose. Yes, standing water creates mold, but what is wrong with a design that causes mold to proliferate like this. Perhaps Maytag, Kenmore, or GE could teach the engineers at LG something about designing for public use. If this were normal, as the rep would have us believe, it would seem appropriate to include these features in the sales material - LG Front loading washer has a normal smell of mold in the machine which naturally transfer to your clothes. Another very normal feature that astounds LG consumers is the washers ability to mimic a wild bucking bronco, leaping and jumping out of its stall. It is a relatively expensive purchase. Consumers expect quality to equal cost to equate value. I dont want to feel like I have been duped and bought a piece of trash. LG has changed my opinion of its products - washer & dryer, refrigerator, microwave, internet TV - I cant trust them no more! We believed that your Life is Good motto included us, not just you.

LG WASHER WT5001CW SERIAL 006KWWZ00297 - We purchased this EXPENSIVE washer in December 2010 before my auto accident and I had a great job. We loved it while it was working properly!!!! Now 4 1/2 years later, I am disabled and my wife of 32 years left. I live on very little thru no fault of my own and now this washer has been down for 5 weeks. Approx a year ago, we started having trouble with excessive vibration thru all cycles. This machine does not have an agitator and is a top load wave force washer. We called LG and found out it was under recall. LG sent techs out and changed out the main computer board free of charge. We noticed that the cycles got longer and we still had a vibration although it was better. We were told that it would get better over time. It did not so we just lived with it. Then 5 weeks ago my daughter came to wash clothes for me. During a rinse cycle, it sounded like the world came to an end. Upon inspection, the entire pulsator assy. came apart (bottom plate, center cap and center bolt) and hit the glass top. After dealing with LG multiple times, finally, a tech was sent out. It was the same guy who had previously change out the computer board. He got on the phone with his company and scheduled a repair tech. A week later, he shows up wanting an upfront payment (NOT!!!!!) so he left. I called LG. Now they say there is no record of our contacting them. I have begged these folks for help. Finally I got a number of an authorized LG repair person locally. Now it seems that the main bearing has gone out and most likely for what its gonna cost to fix this washer is over half what I paid for it - SERIOUSLY????????? The machine is 4 1/2 years old and if this is what service and longevity LG products now have, then I have bought my last one - I can go back to a brand new standard washer for what it will cost to fix this thing. SHAME ON YOU LG!!!!! I understand all things can break down, but your customer service is now CRAP.

I purchased an LG electric range and refrigerator. An extended warranty was not purchased, as I didnt feel a $1400.00 range and $1700.00 refrigerator would require repairs in a 5-year period. The refrigerator has been problematic (leaks and broken plastic drawers), but it keeps the food cold. So well deal with the unsightly leaks and work to the best of our ability to keep our expensive wood floor dry. My current problem is my electric range. It quit working altogether, and by reading many complaints, the model is infamous for this breakdown. In speaking to LG customer service department, the only remedy she could offer is the name and number for the only repairman they have contracted in the Louisville area. An appointment was arranged with Universal Appliance, which was confirmed before I took 5 hours of unpaid time off from work. Needless to say, they did not show up. I was given an explanation and told they would be here before 10 am the following day (more unpaid time off work). It is 9:55 am and still no repairman. I am left with a non-working 2-year-old electric range and up to this point $150.00 pay deduction. I am disappointed in the sub-standard quality of my LG products and feel I have no recourse.

In trying to figure out how to reach a human who could move forward with a promised replacement, I discovered tons of other disgruntled customers dealing with the same frustrating experience: non-working products still under warranty that LG is either incapable of repairing or unwilling to replace or refund. LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

Bought a microwave in Canada in November to bring south for the winter as we are Canadian snowbirds. Arrived in Yuma, Az and about 2 weeks after arrival the microwave quit working. There is a manufacturing date of July 2015 stamped right on the microwave but all my paperwork for purchase is in Canada. I phoned LG and without the paperwork they will do nothing. I tried desperately to get some paper work from Canada but was unable to get. I therefore have to go buy another microwave to get me through the winter. I can get the micro repaired when I get back to Canada in April and produce the paperwork but then Ill have 2 microwaves which doesnt make much sense. I asked the LG person that I phoned how they could not just repair it when the manufacture date is stamped right on it. NO EXCEPTIONS he said. This to me is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live.

After less than 3 yrs. the Sears Kenmore Elite died and we lost over $400.00 in food. It took 6 weeks to even get a repair man to service it with new parts from LG. 3 days later it died again now it is taking another 2 weeks to have someone look at it again. Life is not good. I will never buy another product that is made by LG. I had to buy another fridge while this one is in my kitchen taking up space.
