This fancy 3 door fridge refrigerators bought at Lowes in New Orleans on June 6, 2013 has been a nightmare since I bought it. A week in my home and the ice maker stopped making ice. Repairman replaced the ice maker. Ice tends to stick together. Recent problem is the LOUD clicking noise when the ice maker is turned on off. Customer Service somewhere overseas said this noise is normal because of wear and tear. I explained to the man that using the thing 8 times in one year is NOT wear and tear. He said it is. I put the phone next to the ice maker for him to hear the clicking noise. My son who bought the same fridge on the same date last year does not have this problem. Very kindly he said they are going to send the repair man but I have to pay for it. Unnecessary to tell you the long and stressful conversation with this man. Apparently I am wrong and LG is correct. I said to this man, after he said our conversation was being taped, that it was great news he was taping our conversation because I would on line and make sure the entire world LG knows about the lousy customer service, confirmed again by the guy at Home Depot when I went there on Monday to buy a new dishwasher. Obviously there are two brands of DW I dont buy: Bosch and LG.This man overseas said he would send the repair man and I insisted, make sure I dont have to pay for it because I am still under warranty. If this man tells me I have before the work begins, I would let him go and contact you again. LG can spend millions on Dollars in TV commercials, they fail to realize and accept that the best advertisement is by -word of mouth-. I am extremely unhappy with this fridge. The left side is cooler than the right side. No veggies can go on the left side as it freezes them. My suggestion: move over to another manufacturer.

So much better than my last washer. Loads easier. Gets clothes cleaner. And is quiet. Love that you can add water to the wash. Love deep wash and the various settings. It offers total customization to each wash. Don’t care about WI-FI but I guess it can be useful.

Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a LG french door fridge six years ago. Love the french door... but... after about 1-1/2 years... maybe 2... the fridge went out. My husband pulled the panel off the back and found a fuse blown. Cant order just a fuse? What? Had to order a whole new circuit board... $$$. So we took burnt fuse out and went to local hardware and purchased one as close as we could. Installed and waalaa it worked again. Now, it happened again so we showed our daughter and son-in-law how to change the fuse and keep the wires clean... The fridge goes out about once a year but wow does it save them a ton of money being able to fix themselves. And the fridge works just fine! GOOD LUCK!

When looking for a new stove the salespeople at Lowes raved about LG. We looked for reviews and they were all positive. I bought this stove in September 2017. It has multiple times turned the gas on with no flame. The knob must have been bumped. The last time the gas had run so long that we had to open windows and doors for hours in the winter to get rid of the smell. Im afraid that my family is going to die from carbon monoxide poisoning! How can this not be recalled by the government must less LG themselves. Are they waiting for someone to die in a fire or from poisoning??? A LG repair person came and replaced the metal pieces the knobs are on. While he was doing that the gas turned on!!!. It still seems like the knobs turn VERY easily! Will never buy LG again!!

Many LG Models with the Linear Compressor have failed and settlement to a Class-Action Lawsuit has been reached. But, any compensation will pale to the hassle and cost of your refrigerator failure. Here is my experience: 11/17/20 - My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. It is 3 years old and still under warranty. 11/19/20 - contacted LG and requested service under the warranty. LG contacted a service company and set an appointment for Monday 11/23/20. 11/20/20 - The service company called to inform that the service technician would not come until Tuesday - 11/24/20. 11/24/20 - Tech failed to come within prescribed time, and no courtesy call from the service company. I called the service company and was told they will try to find out where the tech is and call me back with info. By 8:00p that night, no call was returned. Called service co and left message to call me back. 11/25/20 - No call from service co by 1030 am, so called LG again to request service. LG re-contacted same Service provider, and stated that I would get a call to set up appointment that night. LG made Complaint #: ** 11/25 at 2:00pm - Still no call from provider. Called provider again and was told tech would arrive between 5:00p to 8:00p.11/25 at 6:00pm - Service provider called to inform that tech was cancelling again. They could reschedule for another time after Thanksgiving. Told service provider that I will recontact LG, as the service provider was not reliable and confidence to have the company on home site was gone. 11/27/20 - Contacted LG to request service from another provider. Was told it will take an additional 3-5 days to send my request to Field Services before I can get another schedule. Informed that this run-around has gone on too long - Thanksgiving food (hundreds of $$$) are spoiling. Requested LG to replace refrigerator now. LG stated that would not do so until they get a Technician out to look at it - yet as of now that isnt even on the schedule. As of now I own a $5000 bread box.

I purchased this machine for 962$ 3 years ago and it is the worst washing machine Ive ever owned. It is locked up now with a load of clothes in it and the electronics are completely dead. It will not respond to any reset even though it has power. They want to send a technician to the house at my expense. I dont want to invest any more money into this machine because even when it was working it was a lousy machine. I will never buy another LG product. I will advise all of my friends of this experience. I just wish I had visited the online reviews and read about other peoples experiences with LG before my purchase. They have a very poor reputation.

I’m writing this review so that hopefully other consumers won’t make the same mistake I made by buying this LG refrigerator. I bought this refrigerator on 5/6/13 at Famous Tate in Brandon, Fl, and paid $2545 for it—my very first “modernâ€, expensive fridge. This is Model # LF X 319455T/02 (stainless steel French Door). I’ve had nothing but trouble with it since the beginning, and after reading all these reviews, I can see that I am clearly not the only one.The food has gone bad periodically over the last 5 years, resulting in my having to throw stuff out quite often. I confess that I actually ate food that I probably shouldn’t have, and for someone with an autoimmune condition who MUST have fresh fruits and vegetables to survive, this is completely unacceptable. There had been water accumulating in the refrigerator for a long time, and a few months ago there was water all over the left hand side of the bottom shelf as well as all over the floor. I immediately called LG to discuss the problem, and rather than pay them in advance for one of their techs to come here, I paid a technician from Mr. Appliance to come here. He may not have been an authorized LG technician, but he was highly trained and extremely knowledgeable about these LG french door refrigerators. By the way, most repair technicians in my area refuse to even work on LG appliances. That should tell you something!!The guy (Ron) who came to my house determined that the automatic ice maker was causing the problem, and he literally showed me how this one defective part always malfunctions in these models. He further explained that eventually the compressor will probably go out. The replacement part has a heater built into it that supposedly will prevent this problem from occurring, but between parts and labor, it would cost me over $500. That day he enlightened me about a lot of things, and after doing extensive research, I found out that everything he told me that day was true. For instance, I found out that LG has known about this manufacturer’s defect for years, and yet continues to manufacture new models with the same defective part. Sounds very shady and evil to me. Nevertheless, I was going to agree to the repair whether Ron did it or LG (for a slight discount), but then decided against investing more money into this piece of crap.Instead, I bought new water and fresh air filters, and tried to remember to empty the ice container periodically. I should mention that I have NEVER personally used the water dispenser or the ice maker, but I thought it would be nice to have it for any guests who occasionally come over. That being said, for the last few months, the fridge seemed to work ok—not great, but ok. Then the last few weeks there was more water accumulating inside food containers. I just wiped them out, threw more rotten food out, and just put up with it. There’s also a strange discoloration on the touchscreen panel as well as a stainless steel finish looking like it’s peeling off. Clearly very cheaply made. It’s interesting that they charge a premium price for a cheaply made product. Don’t get me started on the faulty design which has its own set of problems. So, on Monday night (7/30/18) or technically Tuesday 12:30 am (8/31/18), the fridge started making an extremely loud noise. There was water everywhere and everything in the freezer had defrosted. I immediately called LG (they do answer the phone 24/7), and was instructed to turn off the breaker to the fridge. I did that, and at least that stopped the noise. I also dumped out the ice container in order to prevent matters getting worse. The representative told me that according to the schedule, a service tech. most likely would be able to come out Friday and for me to call back at 8:00 am to confirm. Obviously I’d have to pay $125 in advance plus pay the service tech for any additional labor. I explained to her that I now have to clean up the huge mess, try to salvage what food I can, and that I’m very ill, 80 lbs and need to be properly nourished to stay alive.I asked her how I’m expected to live without a refrigerator for 4-5 days and probably much longer after ordering parts and having the tech come back to complete the repair. She had absolutely no response for me. I did call back later that morning, paid $125, and scheduled the tech. to come to my house on Friday. Meanwhile I drove to the convenience store in the middle of the night, bought 4 bags of ice and went home to start the cleanup process. I worked all night long using the wet vac, taking everything out of the fridge and freezer, throwing lots of stuff away, and putting whatever food I thought worth saving into coolers with ice. I thoroughly dried the inside of the fridge and freezer, and then proceeded to clean and sterilize. Needless to say, I never slept having worked tirelessly throughout the night. Needless to say I was utterly exhausted.Due to the dire emergency I was in, I sent messages to 7 people on Craigslist and Next Door desperate to get a fridge delivered to me ASAP. The LG repair tech (Sonny) called me later that day and instructed me to turn the fridge back on, and said that he could come here on Saturday-not Friday. Fortunately, that horrible noise never came back on, so that at least was a relief. He proceeded to explain to me that from what I told him, it sounds like a very complex problem, and that his labor would be very intensive, and it could cost me over $1,000 between parts and labor regardless of the compressor being covered under the 10 year warranty. He honestly didn’t think it was worth fixing, and suggested I buy another fridge. We’ve talked several times in the last few days, and he has reiterated that I need to purchase another fridge ASAP. He clearly didn’t want to come here and told me to call LG and cancel the appt.I’ve also been on the phone with LG multiple times in the last 4 days for hours complaining about the situation to no avail. LG representatives in the Philippines are very nice, but there’s a huge communication problem, and it’s beyond frustrating trying to get my point across. I kept getting put on hold, transferred to various individuals, and no one seemed to understand a word I said. All of this massive stress compounded by 4 days of virtually no sleep has comprised my health even more. This entire ordeal has been an absolute nightmare, and I’m outraged that someone can very casually say “Oh well, just go buy another fridge†after I spent over $2500 on what I thought (confirmed by the sales guy) would be a state of the art refrigerator that would last for years. Boy did that turn out to be wrong. I agree with what the rest of you said about LG.I will NEVER buy another LG appliance, and advise everyone else to avoid this brand like the plague. Not surprisingly, I’ve found my brand new LG front loader to be quite frustrating. What a joke “LG Life’s Goodâ€. Life is anything but good when you have an LG appliance. More like a nightmare. I deserve to be compensated for all the food I’ve lost and continue to lose as well as the toll this has taken on my health. Not to mention countless hours on the phone with LG and the hours it has taken me to write this complaint. The abhorrent way in which LG manufactures their products and provides service is nothing short of unconscionable, and I really hope we can all get appropriately compensated for what we’ve had to endure.

I chose LG because of the price and the amount of shelves options for water and ice dispensing and more. Also I think the salesperson did an awesome job at telling the features on the fridge. I dislike the amount of money it adds onto my bill at the end of the month though. Also I do not like how the steel on the fridge is super easy to scratch. But I like the amount of ice dispenser options it has including cubed crushed and some others. In addition I like the taste of the water because of its awesome filtration system.

We purchased a refrigerator LFX31925SW, which I thought was top of the line. 2 months shy of 3 years, the compressor went out. Of course it was out of warranty. I did call LG tech support/customer service and they gave me the phone number of an LG authorized repair company. I called, they had retired, gone out of business. I called LG back, numerous times, I even used the chat online, I was told the same thing each time, it had to be an LG repairman. We live in a small town, kind of rural, I explained to them (over and over) that I had tried for 2 weeks to find someone to come and check our refrigerator, they kept insisting that they have LG repairmen all over the country. Someone would get back to us. Well, 2 weeks after that I received a message on my phone that they would go ahead and approve the one company I was able to get a hold of to replace the compressor (the compressor has a 10-year warranty). When I spoke to the repair company they had spoken with someone at LG, but LG had not faxed the authorization. I have called LG numerous times and get a different response every time. We have now been without our refrigerator a month now. We paid 2500.00 for this fridge from Home Depot 2 and a half years ago, you would think it would last or that LG would honor their commitment. I do not see us buying LG ever again in the future.

I bought this washer to replace a 20yr old Kenmore when I moved to my new house. Large loads, blankets etc I was told it would work for all. Within a year there was a recall because it became unbalanced. I had that fixed. Every time I do a large or heavy item this machine goes off balance. It does not stop but goes over and over again from the beginning, wasting water and electricity. In other words I have to do multiple loads and/or stay in the house checking on the machine to be sure it doesnt go into this wasteful cycle. I will never buy a LG product again and in only 3 yrs I am looking to replace this one.

We purchased the LG French door, bottom freezer about 5 years ago. We spent the extra money because we thought that LG was one of the best at the time. This model has only the water-in-the-door; icemaker in bottom drawer. The salesperson showed us why THIS bottom drawer was better than others with the same idea: the gear-type rollers were more substantial and the slides were larger. The rationale was that it would be more durable. In the past year, the freezer drawer is becoming harder and harder to pull out and/or push in. I have taken the bin out and found grease/graphite on the bottom of the unit and along the left rail. Water from the icemaker also tends to build up as it sometimes drips onto the left rail, making the rolling very difficult. After wiping it out, it seems to be fine for a few hours...then its hard again. We have had it with LG appliances. We had an LG dishwasher that nobody would work on. The LG washer/dryer that we have, are doing OK for now, but the bellows in the bottom of the washer where the water is pumped has cracked twice in 5 years, allowing water to run get on the floor. I should have had a pan put under the washer, but this indicates either bad engineering or bad design.

Had nothing but problems from this machine, and with the service provided. Pump broke after 3 months, took 6 weeks to get someone over to fix it. Said they had no service in my area. Took 3 weeks to make an appointment, said computer would not accept, and to call back later. Finally talked to a service man on the phone, told him that I thought it was the pump, he said he thought so to. Shows up next day, yep it’s the pump. (Why not bring one with you)! Got to order one. Be back next week. Pump took 2 weeks to get here. Then another week to get them out to fix it. (Somewhere in the process. I went out and bought a cheaper washer, just to please the wife). The old pump had a straight pin in it, shut it down. Ok, now, after having the washer for over a year, the washer will never just wash the cloths, it stops with a UE error about every time. Took the wife 8 hrs to wash 1 load the other day. Got my service man on the way to try to fix this problem. Let you know how it turns out.

Fix for mildew smell in LG washer: Use a half cup or so of plain old cheap vinegar in every load. It takes the smell away. Add it with the detergent you use. We use 2 or 3 cups in heavy loads of towels. Our old top loader, my mothers front loader, and our new LG all needed it. Nothing we ever did took the smell away. For us it was a combination of the water in our town and our washers. Just try it. Your clothes will not smell like vinegar. We hated that smell and this fixed it. Anytime we forget to add it, we get the smell again. A gallon of cheap vinegar costs 2, maybe 3 bucks at the most? Seriously, try it on a few loads of towels and youll be happy.

LG Washer WT1201CW - This machine is a piece of crap! We purchased this machine from Home Depot back on 1/5/2014. It is constantly out of balance. And it does NOT have anything to do with the load size. I have put in queen size sheets that will take up to 2 1/2 hrs to wash! Again, not overloaded, since I was told when I purchased it that it could handle a King Size comforter. And I select the bed/bulky cycle. And lets not discuss doing a load of towels. And my whites are no longer white! How can this machine be Energy Star when my old washer from 15 yrs ago washed the same load in less than an hr. I hate this machine. My girlfriend bought the same machine & returned it within 10 days because of its poor performance. The only reason I still have it is because it cost me an arm & a leg to purchase & I cannot afford to replace my appliances every 5 yrs. It also says that it is a TrueBalance. Right! I just put in a 1/2 load of whites at 7:40. It is now 9:45 with another 15 minutes to go, according to the display. But that is all dependent as to whether I need to shuffle my half load around again to TrueBalance it out again. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! It is a piece of crap! I will never buy another LG appliance! Oh excuse me, I just needed to re-position my half load of whites. Another 20 minutes added onto the display.

The refrigerator (LFX25976ST) isnt working. It has been two weeks without a refrigerator. LG and Best Buy wont honor warranty, which states if not repairable, LG would replace the unit. To receive the replacement, I would need to pay about $1000 due to the fact that the unit I purchased from Best Buy was on sale and an opened box item. Best Buy did not mention that due to it being an opened box item, if the unit failed, I would have to pay the difference between the cost of my unit and the cost of the replacement model.

It has become very irritating and embarrassing when others are in the kitchen. My husband called the 800 customer service line. The rep was allowed to hear it running over the phone, and just said that was normal. Thus no solution was offered. I dread having to endure the loud sound for the entire time we will have this microwave. But based on the negative reviews Im reading, this may not be for long. I have never before been moved to submit a review on a product until now. Please beware.

LG Washing machine model #wm4270hwa. Purchased this unit from Best Buy on 2-19-15. Ran flawlessly for 8 months, then it started to sound like a jet engine. Called LG on 1-5-16 and after transmitting tones to a tech over the phone he informed me that I needed to run the tub clean cycle. Ran the tub clean and no help. Called back and was informed that the unit was out of warranty. Spoke to two separate supervisors to no avail. LG will not help, Best Buy will not help. I called a local appliance repair, $180.00 to walk in. Repairman took a look and told me it was a catastrophic failure. Bearings, tub, stator, tub seals etc. were bad. So here I am, stuck with a thousand dollar washing machine that will cost as much if not more than I paid to repair. Will never buy anything from LG, also, I will tell my story to everyone! Please share.

Still under warranty my refrigerator stopped working after five months. Ive had repair people at my house eight times now in a four month period. Today the repair person walked into my house without knocking or ringing the doorbell. My dog stopped him about 5 feet from the front entrance way. The service call for today was for the repair person to tell me only that the part is on order. Again LG wasted my time. I asked the repair person, Why did you come to my house to tell me this, you couldve called!!! The customer service and the repair people at LG are not trained and do not know how to handle the customers nor does the company know how to stand by their product.I am asking my credit card company to dispute the charge because LG sold me a product that does not work. LG is now lying. Setting appointments without my knowledge. Their documentation is not correct and they say I am canceling my appointment. Executive desk also lies and makes up information and incorrect documentation. One person said that she would send me $150 for my food replacement. Later found out thats no such policy. My refrigerator stopped working December 2016 and it is now beginning of April 2017. My Refrigerator is still broke.

We bought the LG WT1701C washer and matching dryer for a new house. I started to notice the clothes werent getting clean, even on the Hot setting. I felt the water, and the in the Hot setting, the water was barely tepid. A service tech came to look at it and informed me that most of the new washer brands have a top temperature of 100 degrees. I was shocked to find this out. He did inform me that selecting a different wash cycle than Normal, like Bright Whites or Oxi Sanitize, will give you water thats hotter but those cycle times are longer. Also, in the Normal cycle, it seems that the washer takes more time to sense the size of the load than it does to wash it. Although I saw that it had no center agitator, I assumed the washer action would be similar to the old agitators. But I have watched laundry loads that swish back and forth but sometimes the laundry on top doesnt get down to the tub that does the washing. The agitation doesnt seem to be very strong. Again, selecting a different setting like Heavy soil, will create a stronger agitation. If youre shorter than 5 6, youll need a stool to reach the bottom of the tub. And be careful about inadvertently pushing buttons once your load has started. While reaching in the washer, I inadvertently hit a button that changed the setting. I could not go back or resume and had to start over. I was 2/3 through the cycle so it was very inefficient in water and electric. So far the dryer seems to work well. Although its a nice looking set, I would not buy it again. Even with some concerns about the smell in front loaders, I would choose a front loader to make sure that the clothes tumble enough to get clean. I believe this model has been discontinued but there are newer models with similar model numbers that I believe will have the same issues.

Today (8-19-2019) was the 1st service appointment LG had available which is two and a half weeks after calling LG. One would think that with this being a very common issue, the repair person would already have a compressor with him. No that would be too logical. He left today and now we have another appointment to actually fix it on 9/6/19. No loaner, no anything, but just them saying thats the best they can do. That is very poor customer service. Its really hard with kids and summer to be refrigerator-less for 37 days. This is really unreasonable, but we have no reasonable alternative. Other than this MAJOR issue, I loved the refrigerator.

Professional company, ice maker, friends and family recommend LG refrigerator, heard reviews on it that it was good. Did meet my expectations on what I wanted the fridge to do which is store and keep my food cold. Enjoy storing food in it and keeps food cold. Looks nice. Ice maker, water machine and the bright inside of the fridge, the exterior is a nice material. That is all I like about the LG fridge. But improve space inside fridge. Dont like double doors. Too many shelves. Not enough room. Side by side doors.

Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! If you want quality, buy a better brand! Lg = like garbage!

I purchased my LG washing machine 1 1/2 years ago. It is a model WT1101CW. It is constantly saying its unbalanced and has rattled my bathroom floor apart. The tiles are now badly cracked. Not only that, but in the last several months it has developed an issue where it cant run for more than a minute or two at a time without giving me the UE (unbalanced) error code. I called the LG recall line after seeing that some similar LG machines have been recalled for the same issues, but was told that based on my machines serial number, my machine isnt one of those recalled. I was then transferred to customer service who again told me to make sure that the machine is level. The machine is perfectly level. I have cleaned the tub often, and also tried unplugging it and pressing start and pause as LGs customer service department has also suggested.I was also told by their customer service department that I could try adding a cycle option such as add fabric softener to increase the amount of water in the tub. Since it only has water in it during the tub clean cycle when it also gives an unbalance signal every few minutes, this isnt going to help. It also defeats the purpose of the machine being energy efficient. Today I have spent 9 1/2 hours so far doing a tub clean with just vinegar as they suggested. Every minute or two it gives me the unbalance error code and I have had to restart it. It still has water in it and hasnt finished. It is now 8:30 pm and I started it at 9 am this morning.I just called LGs customer service department for the 6th time in the last few days and was told that since my 1 1/2 year old machine is out of warranty, it will cost a minimum of $299 for a service call! When I objected to the exorbitant price, the representative offered to let me pay with three easy payments. I can buy a new machine for not much more than that. I am 60 years old and have to say that this is the WORST washing machine I have ever owned, and the WORST customer service I have ever received. Also, I believe this model machine needs to be recalled as well. There is definitely an issue with it, and I see from the other complaints on here that I am not the only one having problems with this model. WORST PRODUCT AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

December 2008 we bought the pair of LG front load washer/dryer model of washer WM1333HW at Corbeil Electro. Weve made several complaints to LG about the problems with both machines in summer 2013. They send the Oxebo service company to repair both. For the washer they had to come 3 times, drain was not fixed properly and machine was doing awful lots of noise. They did came to fix the drain (after it had ruined my wood floor, without no compensation) but they never fixed the noise, they said it was normal even though it wasnt doing so much noise before.During the autumn 2014, the noise was getting more and more intense and was literally eating and ripping the clothes (the babys clothes were disappearing or getting ripped and the leftovers were found through the drain at each wash). I then did another service call on February 24, 2015 to LG, they said I would have to pay a fix price for each problem (about 200$ per problem for the noise, the eating of clothes and the drain). I decide to do nothing thinking it was too expensive. In April 2015, now the washer is no longer working, pieces were coming out of the drain, I called LG service again, but this time they said they wouldnt repair the machine at a fixed price. I had to call Oxebo service company myself and pay for time and material. When I asked why they wouldnt do the repair because I called a month before, they said the rules have been changed for this machine. I asked what this meant and the lady answered that for this serial number they wouldnt do the repair... I then asked to speak with a manager and the lady said he would call back in 48 hours, but after 2 weeks he never did.My thinking is that they know the washer had a problem to begin with, the company that repaired it did not repaired properly and the machine is broken and no one at LG wants to take responsibility for it. I dont mind paying for the repair, but they should at least offer to repair it since they know it wasnt repair properly a year ago.

My LG has been very reliable for 9 years. I love having the freezer at the bottom with the double refrigerator doors at the top. The ONLY design feature I don’t like at all is the temp controlled drawer that goes across the full width of the refrigerator. In order to use that drawer you have to open both doors. Would much prefer 2 smaller drawers accessible individually from each side.

I just purchased my LG double oven range one month ago. Cleaned the cooktop as required by manufacturer. Razored off the food stuck on as by manufacturing specs. A stuck on piece of rice being scraped off by the razor provided with the range caused a chip in the glass. The rice and a piece of glass top came off together. LG states this is not covered under warranty and will not repair. Cleaning a stuck on piece of anything should not cause a piece of glass to come off with it. I bought 3 LG appliances at the same time and I will not buy again. I have had a glass cooktop range before. Cleaned it several times the same way never a problem. This range was over $1000. That glass top should be bulletproof as far as I’m concerned.

I bought a front loader (LG True Balance) in December 2011. My clothes don’t seem to get cleaned, I watched it run its cycle and it doesnt run like the sales lady said, it will go clockwise 4 tumbles then hesitate, goes counter clockwise 4 times and hesitate and then continues like that the whole wash cycle. It spends more time not doing anything than tumbling. My daughter bought a Frigidaire and I watched that run and it runs like the sales lady said mine should run. It tumbles on both directions but for about 1 minute and only stops for a bit nothing, like mine.

Everything about this stove is fine except for the front burner grids. Some fancy designer who has never cooked on a stove in his life decided that it would LOOK GOOD if the front burner grates curved in to match the shape of the griddle. It leaves a big gap on the outer corner of the stove and I ran into the frying pan handle and the pan and all of its hot bacon grease contents went flying across my kitchen. I thought I was being more careful when I hit the handle of a pot of hot stew and it went flying across the kitchen. You must keep your children out of the kitchen when using these front burners. THIS IS A HUGE HAZARD! DO NOT BUY AN LG STOVE WITH GRIDDLE IN THE MIDDLE.

I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer from a very popular store in Savannah, GA. Believe it or not at the almost end of the 1st years warranty, I was cleaning the washer around the rubber part on top and found that the framework was rusting. I had already reported the bleach dispenser was rusting without results. I called the store and was referred to corporate. I got the runner around there. After trying to work with them they had a recall on a part. After that was installed the washer is slower which I reported right away. To this day they have not sent anyone out to check the RUSTING OR THE SPEED AND RESULTS OF ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS. I LOVE LGS PRODUCTS BUT THE RESPONSE TO MY PROBLEM STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED.

LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Cod
LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Code #T1309ADFH6.ASSEEUS. Bought washer & matching dryer 11/27/2010 with 5 year extra warranty on both. Three years of hell! Large-capacity washer that simply WILL NOT BALANCE, but will instead of sounding a buzzer that it is OFF BALANCE, will just restart the countdown timer as it REFILLS with WATER and starts the rinse cycle... again and again and again. Found out the hard way one time 5 hours later that it was still restarting the rinse cycle because it could not balance itself, yet it had never once sounded with the buzzer. Yes, the buzzer can work on occasion, but the load has to be very off balance. When I first got it and the countdown timer reset and the rinse cycle started again, I mistook that it was just part of the machines normal operation, but there is nothing normal for the waste of water and the amount of time I spend standing in front of the washer trying to catch it before it resets AND the amount of time I spend rearranging the load to try and balance it in the tub to the machine balance sensors satisfaction... up to 30 minutes at a time moving heavy wet clothes around or removing them by hand to place one on this side and one on that side... endless aggravation. Even if I use the lowest spin and step it up to the highest spin, it will not balance. If you dont use the highest spin cycle (or step up from low to high) it takes nearly 2 hours to dry clothes on the 2nd highest spin cycle. The factory recall notice that I received was merely an insult to the problem because it does not address the ACTUAL issue -- which is that it will not balance. Instead, the recall wants to tell me not to wash raincoats or such nonsensical how to or not to use the machine properly. It will not balance with: ONLY pants or ONLY shirts or ONLY towels or ONLY pajamas. The bigger the load in this large-capacity washer, the bigger the balance problem. If I wash a tiny load like socks, it might actually finish the load all by itself once-in-a-while, but why have a LARGE-CAPACITY washer if it is useless? If you mix shirts and pants, be prepared to untangle the biggest wet knots you have ever seen! I stopped using the low-water features a long time ago when my clothes did not clean properly, so I now use the Bulky/Bedding setting, which fills the tub with water. When I used the low-water features, the balance problem was exactly the same. I always keep the door open when not in use, so it does not stink itself up and requires special tub cleaning. I have only had to clean it once. Since the normal way this company has responded to the myriad of consumer complaints is even more impossible than dealing with the product, I see no reason to play their game of endless service calls when NO SERVICEMAN CAN POSSIBLY REDESIGN A FLAWED APPLIANCE. I have not heard of any service call fixing this models problems. I bought a 5-year service policy with 2 years left. This machines design is a lemon, so where is the companys restitution to us consumers? I dont want the upgraded software because it takes away wash settings and spin RPMs that I bought in the first place. A recall that is stone-cold useless and removes some original wash (gentle) and spin (extra high) variations is their restitution, so consumer take heed.

I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

Tarheel Appliance suggested that I call LG back to see if they would extended the warranty since the microwave was just out of warranty. I was told that the warranty would not be extended!! It is finicky, hard to start, hard to remove and clean the filter. Frequently stops in the cycle, and has a top bar made of silver plastic that split at a seam. I bought a 4 door LG refrigerator. Its a French door on top with 2 freeze drawers in the bottom. I paid about $50 more to get a counter depth which is fantastic for the space in my modular home with an air vent in front of the space. This model has plenty of space in the refrigerator compartment. It looks like changing the water filter will be easy and convenient. It does have a drawer at the bottom which is nice but it would have been a better design if it would slide out when only one door is open on the refrigerator. You have to have both doors open to utilize the space. The same with the right side drawer that holds produce. You cant get it open all the way before the left edge hits the center strip of the left side French door. I have only had it a month so will have to do another review after 5 years. This LG is a replacement for a 4 1/2 year Samsung that had constant problems with the ice maker freezing up.. I Will never buy Samsung products again. Their Customer Service is atrocious.

I was remodeling my kitchen and bought a brand new range and an over the range microwave, delivered 12/2018, installed in Feb 2019 due to kitchen not being ready. When started using it I noticed some white spots or discoloration on the stainless steel front of the range. As the range worked fine I did not immediately call CS to see if anything can be done about this issue. Then the microwave stop working so I called CS and told them about both appliances and they scheduled a time to come out for the MW but told me they would be get back with me about the range which they never did after a week. When the guys came out to look at the MW I showed them the spots and they tried cleaning them as well. They said Id have to call back in as nothing was scheduled for the range just the MW. They even confirmed that the front face of the range could be replaced a simple fix. I called the next Monday to ask about this again and the first guy told me from what he could see, from a photo I had sent in the first time, it was nothing that can be done about it. So I ask why he thought that from looking at a photo, he said he would get me over to a supervisor. After being on hold for 20 minutes a guy got on the phone and told me that if I would have called as soon as I noticed the spots that they could have replaced it based on a defect but since I waited that there was nothing they could do about it. He said it might be a chemical reaction but I told him Ive only used what was recommended for me to use. I asked them if they could replace the front piece and he said no that because I waited that there was nothing they could do about it. Yes I waited until the MW stop working before I called because the range was working fine. I know that if CS wanted to help and replace one piece that they could have but they punished me for waiting, its not as if I was asking for a brand new range. Ive already have had a few people ask me what LG did about taking care of the range and now I can let them know and everyone know that they chose not to do anything because I was busy and didnt call right away. I will never buy LG again!!!

Then tells me the wiring cant be replaced anyway. Now stuck with a shiny $2700 lawn ornament. Stay away from LG. LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

I purchased this refrigerator, model LFD22860ST, from Sears in Feb. 2007. Two weeks ago, I smelled an electrical type smell that woke me up in the middle of the night. The light bulbs had been burning while the doors were shut. The wiring was burnt. The light cover was burned and melted off and was laying on top of food. The top of the liner had begun to melt as well. I managed to get one bulb out. The other bulb burned out. One of the plastic tabs in the upper inside corners of the french doors (the part that is supposed to keep the door firmly closed) broke off. And the bracket deep inside that you screw the tab into has broken out as well. So, there is no way to anchor/screw a new tab in even if I wanted to. Its the door with the controls and water in it, so its a challenge to make sure it is not coming open by itself. The plastic piece that runs across the lower inside, that holds the crisper bins in, has broken in the middle. So, every time you pull/push the bins back in, you have to struggle with that as well. The ice maker overfills. And when you open the bottom freezer door, ice cubes come tumbling out all over the floor. With that, Im constantly turning the ice maker either on or off. Ive noticed that LG has discontinued this model. Was it discontinued because of these problems? I paid an awful lot of money for this designer, stainless steel, french door refrigerator. I really expected it to last more than 4 years!

This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Wee
This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, we were rushed to replace it --- and have regretted that ever since. We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

DO NOT, DO NOT ever buy an LG washing machine as ours is two years old and I have to spin dry one towel at the time while the rest of the wet towels are in the sink waiting. LG executive, Tyree, told me they would send a service person which they never did, however. Lowes, where we bought the machine has given us an appointment with an LG technician. This machine was $650 and has never worked correctly and this is LGs second service in a year. When the warranty runs out in 3 years, I will get rid of this piece of junk and buy a cheap washer and hope to keep it like I did my last one that lasted 25 years. LG does not need to be in the business of washing machine and whoever designed them needs to be fired and they need to give all of us a replacement. Ill never buy anything by LG as our new $750 TV would stop working from time to time and my son in law took off the back and tightened all the leads and it works fine, now. Now, why would you sell a tv with loose leads? LG is a worthless company!!!

Dishwasher was within one year warranty period. Called for service. Was told someone would call back. Never did. I called back, was told service technician would schedule a day. Never called. I called back. No service in my town and would have to have a review of my issue. Told to call local repair person and they would cover it. I did. They would not ship the part to him and when I called they said hey never authorized it. Said they escalated my repair to another department and would call back. I had to call them back, this was over 4 months. Final call from them was to call Sears and have them cover it under the extended warranty that I purchased as the machine was now over the one year coverage period even though I called well before the year was up.

Its always a name that is mentioned while searching for equipment. The look and the space it left us once installation. We love our new LG refrigerator! Weve had it for a couple of weeks and are beyond pleased. We love the all of the space and especially having two ice makers. But LG is the currently the poorest product on the market. Stay away! I bought my LG just 2 yrs old, gone thru 3 compressor failures, 4 loads of groceries tossed out and zero care from outsourced customer service team.

Our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer quit making ice on a Saturday or Sunday. When we realized it at 9pm on Sunday we called LG right away and that’s when the run around started. By Tuesday we had logged 8 phone calls to customer service. The representatives just read from a script and told us they had to send a work order to the repair people and it takes 3-5 business days. We tried to tell them the service people they mentioned in our city told us they wouldn’t work on LG (we’d already called) so they were wasting their time. We gave them the name of the closest service person willing to come out and even offered to pay him if LG could just reimburse us and LG refused. The service guy is standing by 30 miles away just waiting for the go ahead from LG before he heads to our house. He’s been screwed over by them before so he’s not willing to come out until he has the order in writing. This is now Friday and we’ve logged 12 calls to LG, 1 to Consumer Reports, 1 to BBB and 1 to our local consumer reporting agency. Unfortunately we purchased all new black, stainless, LG kitchen appliances when we remodeled our kitchen and if we go buy another refrigerator the color won’t exactly match the other appliances, but I think that may be our next step. My advice is to stay away from LG. They don’t stand behind their products and their customer service is terrible!

Updated on 08/30/2019: The leaked water ruined the chill drawer electrics. it is not covered under warranty anymore. I did talk to LG and they agreed to send me a new face for the drawer. Then the tech tells they charge $300 to install it. With LG the hits just keep on coming. Since the tech left yesterday the fridge is at 45 degrees and the freezer is at 20 degrees F. Maybe it will get better later? Consumers deserve better than this.Original review: Bought this refrigerator June 14 2016. The compressor and other parts have been replaced twice. The last time was August 15 2019. Here it is August 19 2019 and it is 40 degrees in the freezer and 60 degrees in the fridge. Again we are waiting on the repairman. Have lost around 200 dollars worth of food each time. It is clearly time for them to replace this lemon with a new fridge but they probably will not. Maybe the third time is a charm but I am not betting a new purchase of groceries it like I did last week. If you bought an LG fridge best of luck to you.

I purchased a new LG Microwave Nov, 2018. It stopped heating during the coronavirus. I went to LG who said they might be able to help, but nobody ever called or emailed. They said unplug it and plug it back in thru Facebook. I called their recommended service provider and they said it would be cheaper to just get a new one. I waited a couple of weeks, and still havent heard so we had to go buy a brand new microwave. DO NOT BUY LG. All they had to do was fix it or refund me. This is absolutely the worst time to go without a microwave and have terrible service on top of it.

From the very first day I bought it we have had ice build up in the top drawer of the freezer. I called for about 2 or 3 weeks to the store I bought it from. I was told it was the humidity and not to worry. I kept calling back and finally they gave me the number of a repair man. He came a number of times and did what the LG people told him to. Every time he came he replaced another part. Nothing has worked yet. They said as long as the rest is working its just an inconvenience. My thought is for 3000.00 I shouldnt have to have an inconvenience. I have since given up getting anything done. I have the same kind of fridge (different brand) out in the garage and it is in humidity and have never had any problem with it or any other fridge I have owned. Will never buy that brand again. I have owned it for a little over a year now and I have never had one day without ice on my food and drawer.

I also had a LG refrigerator that only lasted 5 years. Terrible products. So I saw the Magnetron has a 10 year warranty so I called and they told me on the phone, it would cost me 125.00 right there for the service call and the technician would come out and replace the Magnetron and if it was over 30 min I would pay 35. Extra. When the guy came he looked at the microwave and said, It is the Magnetron and I ordered it but it did not come yet, and you owe me 35.00. I will be back in two weeks with the part.I am furious. I asked him what that 35.00 was for and why did he come out without the part and he said, I charge 160, so are suppose to pay me 35.00 no matter what. 1. Why did he come here without the part? 2. This is not what they told me on the phone. 3. I called them to complain and they said exactly the same thing to me and then when I asked for a manager, the CS person said, we have to review your call and you have to pay him for ordering the part, and then he said you have to pay him for extra time and then he said something else. When I pointed out all the various things he said, he said, We have to say these things. He refused to put me through to a manager. He said, We will call you tomorrow and review your call. Which is nuts since he said the exact same thing to me and the service guy said something different. Also the CS rep said, Well 70-80% of the time the service tech brings the Magnetron. So I pay extra time because I am in the 20%. Also NO ONE SAID I needed to pay another 35.00 when he came. They said, If he goes over 30 minutes. So, so wrong.

Literally the day I finished paying for my $2800 French Door LG refrigerator, it stopped working. At first I thought it was the ice maker. Had a repair person out who reset it and said to call back in 24 hrs if it didnt work. After 24 hrs still no luck, but now Ive started realizing that I keep throwing stuff away in my refrigerator after just a day or so because its gone bad. Finally after about 2 weeks of this, I realize that the refrigerator is not cooling, despite the 32 degrees reading on the outside temp setting.Call another repair person out after calling several that dont deal with LG because they say theyre garbage and he says he cant fix it, to call LG and ask for a courtesy one time flat rate repair. I do that, he comes out, and says its the compressor which is on back order until May 20. More than 2 weeks from now. Wonder why the part is on backorder? Maybe because its garbage and everyone seems to have the same problem? Please please please dont make the mistake of buying these products. They are absolute junk. As are Samsung as well. These are the two all the repair people Ive spoken to say to stay away from.

The refrigerators met my expectations. Ive had it about 3 years now and it still cools well even on really hot summer days. The freezer is really great. Also freezes well. Its also a very quiet device. Doesnt make a lot of noise when running. I like the color, the storage in the bottom, the storage in the freezer, the coolness, the size, the longevity and the pricing is great. But the size is kind of inconvenient for the fridge space in my house. It had to be set out a little farther than expected. The bulkiness wouldnt fit in the area. Its a overall great product. Would recommend it to friends and family. I feel like everyone should invest in one. Its one Im sure will still be in great condition 5 years from now.

I am very disappointed with LG product. I have had a broken refrigerator since December 25, 2018. The first time a technician from LG had come to fix it was December 30th. The technician has been coming back every week since then and it is still not fixed. Its only been 17 months since Ive purchased this refrigerator and it has not been working properly for more than two months. I bought it on July 4, 2017. The first repair was on 10/30/17, the second on 03/23/18, and the third on 05/15/18. Now I dont have working refrigerator again. I need someone to take action or I am going to take legal measures. This seems like an issue not just I but many other customers have had and the issue is still not being resolved. Not only is this a time consuming process but also a financial loss. Since not having a fridge for over a month, we havent been able to buy store food and only take out. This not only takes even more money out of my pocket but requires me to take time off work because of all the appointments. Not only is the fridge not working but the last time a technician came on January 25, 2019 he scratched the fridge and left a black burn mark. I am so frustrated and disappointed with not only a product but the services. I would really just like my money back so that I can buy a new, scratch free, and working fridge. I have attached the pictures of the damage.

My LG refrigerator stopped working and it was almost 3 years old. No one will work on the refrigerator due to warranties on certain parts. The service provider in my area is not taking any work orders until after the New Year. It is the compressor which should go up in the little bit of time. The whole experience has been frustrating with LG and trying to find another company to work on this so I didnt have to wait. The compressor from what I understand can take up to 3-4 weeks to come in. Deciding the pay for the labor, not cheap, so made a decision that I didnt want to make since this refrigerator wasnt cheap. So today I decided to purchase a new refrigerator and not wait for this.

This has been going on from day one, I purchased it 5 years ago, I wish I had returned it. I even open it during the rinse cycle and untie and untangle them and by the end of the cycle they are all twisted up again!! I will never buy another washer like this again. Sadly, I love the range, the oven (LSE4613ST slide in range), it is all beautiful... BUT it is an accident waiting to happen. It has been a little over a year since I purchased the range. About the same time last year I had friends staying in my place after their rental was sold out from under them. I stayed with a friend. One day I got a call from them telling me that they are not sure what happened, but one of the stoves burners turned on by itself. It was a mystery and hard to believe so we figured someone forgot to turn it off after using. The next time it happened a towel caught on fire, and we were thinking a Poltergeist (I teased her). One day by total accident they discovered that all they had to do was brush against any one of the burner knobs and the element would go on. I called LG but wasnt able to get any assistance from them. All they said was it is not a known issue and apologized for not being able to help. I called Home Depot where I purchased it. The lady was very helpful and gave me the number to the LG guy that does repair work for Home Depot LG products. The technician stated that the knobs coming on with the slightest touch was a known issue and he would like to do an upgrade. The upgrade was at no charge. He replace the entire heat knob assembly that was suppose to make the knobs have to be pushed in a ways before you could turn it. I was ecstatic! My friends finally found a home of their own and will be moving soon. My friends Aunt was over there helping her pack dishware and was using the stove top to do it because there was no place to sit. My friend said she smelled smoke and ran over just in time to see the burner had just come on and was starting to burn the newspaper. My friends Aunt does have a little bit of a tummy on her, so they figured she had pushed the knob in by accident. Obviously the upgrade did not fix it. I guess my friend and her husband had been scared to get too close to the stove, even after it was fixed, so that had prevented any more fires. Now I am going to have to get another stove or be reimbursed for this one. I doubt that will happen. But yes, I am surprised we havent heard of someone getting really hurt by this stove.

I bought an LG refrigerator, french door model, for my new home. I did purchase the extended warranty but it didnt take a year for problems to arise. 3 months after purchase I had front panel moisture, then the fridge and freezer stopped working. Three repair visits and 2.4 months later, they were unable to fix the fridge. Lost Enbrel shots (3K worth), all condiments, fruit, veggies, etc. There are no provisions from LG to compensate you at all for any loss. No fridge in the interim to live? - LG not concerned. A local appliance company sent me a loaner when things got desperate. The lack of quick follow-up, poor attitude on the phone, lack of interest in finding a repair company that will come out to fix the appliance and a general interest in taking care of the problem was outrageous. Literally have never had this kind of experience. 3 months... Why didnt LG recognize it might be a bad unit and move to replace the appliance? I will tell everyone I know, the builder who has much of the business here, neighbors, workmates, etc. to not buy LG appliances. That is my only power as a consumer. I understand if things break - what I dont understand is a company failing to stand behind a $2600.00 appliance that is 3 months old. Shame on LG!

Bought a LG Top load washer less than 3 years ago for $720. Its constantly going out of balance several times every load you wash. Now the drive shaft broke and took out the wash plate as well. Despite the fact that the front of the washer has a 10 year warranty sticker plastered on the front of it LG refused to authorize the repair center to cover the parts under warranty, the cost of which is approx. $400-450. I called LG directly and they and talked to a technician first and she just kept telling me it was not her department and that she was only authorized to talk to the service repair company and not me.I had to beg to talk to a supervisor and had to wait forever to talk, for her to get on the line only to tell me that the 10 year warranty only covers the rotor and stator, not the drive shaft and basically told me I was SOL. Bottom line save yourself the heartache and money and dont ever buy a LG washer. They are JUNK and their customer service is non-existent!

I bought my new LG topload washer and dryer on 7/1/12 and noticed after about a week that my white clothes werent getting clean. I turned my tankless heater up to 140 and put my sheets into wash. I went to add a pair of socks and noticed the water was barely warm. My heater is fine so on the next hot load, I watched when the washer was filling and it was putting more cold water in than hot! I called LG Support line and they said that was how it was supposed to be and I should try putting it on the bulky bedding setting. I did and it had no effect. I called Sears because when I bought it, they said I had a 90-day return option. They said, yes you do, but since I used the washer, I couldnt return it! However, if you think having ice is the logical outcome of an ice maker, you will be more than disappointed. To date, we have replaced the ice maker twice. Kudos to the staff training at LG! The first person we contacted spoke with sure had a thick accent that it was impossible to understand, let alone reply to her questions. Speaking with her supervisor really allowed LG to shine. She had mastered the highest level of being patronizing that I have ever experienced. In essence, I was told how badly they felt about my predicament and flat out that it was my problem. Now it is theirs. I will try to discourage anyone who asks about purchasing any LG product.

R & DH. No clue what either meant, got the manual, lo and behold manual is in every language, but not one thing referring to the codes on the control panel. Left with one option - call the 800#.. Now that means speaking with someone in God knows where, who cant stop apologizing long enough for you to say what you need.... She informs me that we (my husband, who is 72 and myself who is 67) need to PULL the from the wall, unplug it and let it sit {like rebooting a computer}. Then plug it back in and it will be fine.... She failed to tell us that we would have to do this on the average of twice a day, every day!Contacted hhgregg. Oh we had 30 days for return, too bad!!!! Called LG, when the foreign person answered, I demanded to speak to a supervisor who spoke and understood ENGLISH, she supplied. She said that there was a company who would come to fix it.... She contacted them. They happened to be the ONLY COMPANY WITHIN A 75 MILE RADIUS THAT WORKS ON LG!!!!! Now, how lucky are we????? NOT.Company called, sent a young kid out to access the fridge. Lo and behold, I needed a part that would actually defrost the fridge. The one in there was not working. He ordered the part. In the middle of all of this, my husband had to have surgery. They called me to schedule the appointment and unfortunately I had to call them to come later in the day, I had to get my husband to the surgeons office for an emergency. Called the other kid repairman and he said he would make me the last visit. We got home around 1PM in the afternoon, called him and he said to me, oh I forgot I had another client and I wont be there today, they dont allow us much for gas money. I was furious.... I said to him, this is your job..... I had an emergency and he said, well you are the reason I didnt make it there today. I could have gone through the phone after him.... He then said I would have to contact the office to reschedule.. He had my part on his truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I decided to call LG and let them handle it. The gal said she would find someone who could come out and fix the unit... She didnt bother to say that she would not be in touch until the next week. In the meantime, we are still unplugging and replugging... and get angrier by the minute. I finally called LG to find out what happened. Oh the dept that handles that take 3-5 business days to locate someone. I ask her, suppose I had gone on vacation and this happened, I would have lost all my food. Yes you would and it was your responsibility. LG will not reimburse. I am not proud of my profanity at this point, but it was well deserved. LG had me between a rock and hard place. I called the owner of the company that first came out... {let me add this, the owner of the company called me and apologized for the kid that gave me the attitude and said he was no longer working for them, that is not how he treats his customers}. When I spoke to him, he was gracious and said he would be out on Thursday to fix the fridge. He came, apologizing once again, put the part in the fridge, after showing us the frost that was built up on the back of the bottom freezer. Said to us that if this does not work, then we have more serious problems. NOT EVEN 12 HRS AND IT WAS BACK DOING THE SAME DAMN THING. I am so angry, so frustrated..... Of course it happened on Friday so nothing was open until today.... I have posted this review here, next Consumer Protection agency, LG and then hhgregg... Busy morning for this frustrated and angry consumer!

Well, Ive finally had it with this machine. We bought it & the matching electric dryer from former homeowners when we bought their house. Guess we should have done more research into the plethora of problems these sorry excuse for an appliance really have. These junkers wouldve been out on the road the second we moved in. First, within a month the dryer died. One morning I turned it on & it started smoking, so that was that. Out to the curb! Next, we had been using the LG steam washer for about 4 months & continually noticed water on the floor around it. Never really found where it was coming from other than a drip streak down the side around the detergent drawer where you add the soap/bleach. Another issue was the door lock kept malfunctioning & wouldnt let the load run unless you either slammed the door shut or put pressure on it with your knee when it was trying to lock. Then the thing would sound like a 747 taking off when it was in spin mode. It would shake violently & eventually wake up the baby with its deafening whir. Finally, it showed an error message saying the pump wasnt able to drain the tub because of a clog or something. So I got on my hands & knees to screw open the drain trap & 5 gallons of water came gushing out all over the floor. There is a small rubber hose down there also, but when I took out the plug on the end of it no water drained out. What gives LG? Do you need a wet/dry vac at the ready to do this procedure or a stack of towels so you dont trash the floor? Very poor design! And doing this did absolutely nothing. Same error code came up & the pump just sickly rumbled. So it is now out on the curb also awaiting a trip to the dump where it belongs. Please, everyone, do not buy these piece of refuse appliances from LG. You will only bring upon yourself great pain & grief. Time to break out the old GE top loader that I know works fine. Glad I held onto it for back up. DONT BUY LG!!!

We bought an LG French Door Refrigerator 8 years ago for almost $3000. Right before the warranty expired the compressor broke. It took 2 weeks to get LG to send a repair man out, 2 more week for the wrong part to arrive, 2 more weeks for the repair to be finally completed. Now a few years later, the refrigerator broke down again. We called several appliance repair companies and they all said we are better off applying our money to a new refrigerator because the parts are nearly impossible to get and they will not last. None of them had positive opinions of the LG product. Never again.

I have an LG top loader WT5270CW. Not having other review problems like leaking or vibration BUT washed clothes, have a heavy white residue visible on black or dark clothes. Not sure about lighter clothes. Residue is probably there too but not as noticeable. Recommendations say wash dark clothes in cold water but I have tried everything. Warm, adding additional rinse, Woolite for darks detergent. Very frustrating.

I purchased my home in 2010 that came with new set of LG appliances. I am having nightmares with the LG gas stove (model: LRG30357ST). Within few months, one of the knobs cracked at the plastic insert. Now why on earth would you design a knob with a plastic insert to mesh with a metal shaft? I replaced this with a new one costing $80. After a few months, this one cracked again and I had to junk the knob as it was of no use. Now after a year, the rest of the 4 knobs have cracked too and I have to use a Gorilla SuperGlue to hold them together. Not sure how long they last. Calling the customer service is of no use as they redirected me to the parts department. Why on earth would I pay $400 ($80 times 5) for 4 knobs? I will be junking the gas range once the knobs become unusable. My advice to fellow consumers, be cautious when buying an LG product and make sure you have reviewed thoroughly the comments by other consumers. I will never buy an LG appliance going forward. By the way, my LG dishwasher had its door and motor replaced (fortunately LG covered that). The only original part is the frame.

I like the freezer, fridge, multiple shelves, the shelves slide out to be cleaned and so do the drawers. There are four drawers including a cheese drawer specifically. I would put an ice maker in it. Also I would put a smart system into it to tell you when youve left the fridge open or tell you when its not working correctly and I would include freezer trays with purchase and water filter along with a digital thermostat. It has met expectations. I was very happy with value and price overall. This fridge is amazing and meets all my needs and or wants but if I had to choose one additional brand over LG itd be Samsung for sure.

We bought the LFX31925ST 3 years ago, meaning its out of warranty. Last week, error dH showed up. We did research, learned that it means the defrost heater is not working well and had the unit reset by unplugging for a few minutes. It worked for 2 days. This morning, the freezer at the bottom is totally watery. The freezer has gone out!!! The thought of having to call for service on top of our daily responsibilities, not to mention the cost to fix, just bothers us. We had been Whirlpool fans for over 30 years, never any problems with fridge nor washing/drying machines. They worked until we want a new look for our house. We changed to this LG fridge for their large capacity of 31 cubic feet, but...lesson learned...we will never buy LG again. We will also make sure our friends and families learn from our experience with the low quality of this LG brand. We were a lot smarter when we continued to buy Sony TV brand over Samsung. Our brother is having big problem with his Samsung TV!!! Household appliances should bring comfort, not trouble like this. I realize now that there are others who have similar with LG brand products. LG needs to improve the quality of their product or at least, go out of their way to offer service for their fast-failing products, or they will go out of business soon, which we wont be surprised! Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony, and other long time name brands are the way to go. I hope this wont happen to anyone else.

I bought an LG front loading washer and dryer and have nothing but problems from the beginning with both. The washer will not use and flush the laundry detergent, hence the clothes smell as dirty as when I began. The dryer shows incorrect time, ie: 26 mins left but the time goes off in 4 mins, drying time takes a lot longer than my old one. Clearly disgusted with both.

Our $3000.00 LG refrigerator (lfxc24726s/02) started having problems just after the warranty expired in January 2017 and between waiting 3 months for parts then another two weeks because part replaced did not work and a day later the door is now leaking water. Called LG to voice our concerns with their quality and mentioning I have all LG appliances in the kitchen they dont really care. If you are in the market for a refrigerator avoid LG all together. Many more choices and better quality at this price range!

I remodeled my kitchen and used all stainless steel LG appliances in my kitchen and have add issues with ALL of them. I will always advise friends not to buy LG appliances. The knobs, all five, on my LG stove broke almost immediately and they are $75.00 ea. to replace. I will not buy these knobs because the inside is plastic and will break again and at $75.00 ea. it is too expensive to have to keep replacing them. I have had to replace the motherboard on my dishwasher. The handle on the microwave broke off and now my French door refrigerator went out. Could be the fuse, which was replaced, or the condenser which means I have to buy a new refrigerator. I have tried contacting both Home Depot and the manufacturer directly with no success. These appliances are made in South Korea and are made rather shabbily... look good on the outside but the insides suck. Dont buy these appliances. Shame on Home Depot!

I purchased a washer dryer from Sears. One year after buying the top of my dryer all lettering to set your dryer was gone. If you took cloth you could wipe it all off. That cover was replaced then I noticed the washer doing the same thing. And the new top put on dryer was losing all its lettering. I was told baking process, caused all the lettering to go away. The rusting of the unit is another subject not yet been told. I have a old Maytag 15 years old all lettering on it. I have never owned or seen anything worse than the LG. If they are so proud of the name it will wipe off also. If I built this washer and dryer I would not want my name on it and I guess they didnt either. Also the Odor from mold when you open the door after clothes been done will take your breath away. I leave the door open, and that dont seem to help.

I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

I purchased my LG Steam Washer and Dryer on 11/26/10 from Home Depot. Thankfully, I purchased a 4 year extended warranty. Now a little over a year later, my dryer all of the sudden stops heating. I made a phone call to Home Depot on March 23rd and they contracted the work out to Appliance Solutions of Utah. When they came to do repairs, they said the dryer needed a new thermostat, the part needed to be ordered and they would be back in 3 days to do the repair. Two weeks go by and never heard from the repair guy and he never showed up on the day he said he would (I took the day off work so I could make sure I was here). Finally after 3 weeks, he showed up claiming they got sent the wrong part he replaced the thermostat and was on his way. Five days later (3/28/12), the heating on my dryer went out. I once again called Home Depot. They got the same company out. The very next day, the guy replaces the same part, the thermostat and then tells me that there is nothing wrong with the dryer. He said that I need to get my ducts cleaned out and that I can just use my dryer unhooked from the wall until I get that done. I used my dryer unhooked from the wall and once again, a week later, the heating goes out on the dryer. So, I gave Home Depot a call. Three days later, the same company shows up. Now hes claiming my dryer is out because its not hooked up to the wall but he needs to order a new thermostat again so it can once again get replaced. The repair man said he would be back in 3 days. Over two weeks have passed since he said that, I havent even received a call from the company and he just left my dryer in pieces in my laundry room. I can barely get in there. I am completely fed up with this worthless dryer, Home Depot, and Appliance Solutions of Utah. I dont think LG should be able to get away with selling these fraudulent dryers to people anymore and apparently no one knows how to repair the dumb things so they dont continue to have these problems.

Three years ago I purchased the LG WT4870C washer -- a He top loader with stainless tub. Its been less than a satisfying experience owning it. The unit flashes the IE error code on virtually every load of laundry. Since my washer is in the basement, Im blissfully unaware of the error code. So, the wash cycle practically never finished when I expect; Ive come to count on it taking twice as long to do laundry as it should. The IE error code indicates a dirty water filter, and I wonder how I ever existed for years with my old washer -- it never gave me a bit of trouble related to water quality. This unit is so sophisticated. It can actually sync to your smart phone. Who gives a damn!! Can I start a wash cycle and add clothes as the tub is filling with water? Nope! I like to do that to save time, but LG thinks its a good idea to lock the lid so you must get all your dirty clothes inside the tub before you start. You cannot open that sucker while its working. Not happening. And, in this great freedom-loving country of ours, do I get to choose how much water to use to wash my clothes? Nope! I should be able to wash one sock with 10 gallons of water if I choose. Whether or not I have my own well (which I do), it should be my choice. Sometimes I just want to soak -- I mean truly SOAK -- something in water. The control freaks at LG decided to be clever and prevent the user from exercising this right. You will use exactly the amount of water THEY want you to use. Seems very un-American to me. In short, simple is usually better, and the LG WT4870C is not simple. Dont be drawn in by all the bright lights and fancy chimes. This unit is overpriced and the product of Big Brothers crack team of controllers. I wish I had not bought it.

I have been using LG WD-8015C frontload washer for last four years and worked well. A couple of weeks ago, the pre-wash option could not pump the water into drum. After a lot of research, I understood as I have to change the cold water inlet valve assembly and did that by spending NZD45. With the new valve, the pre-wash pump never shuts off. This appears funny to me. I dont know if the new part supplied to me is still a faulty one. Did this happen to anyone? Call out for repair is around NZD50 plus labor of NZD60 per hour. I dont know what to do and how to solve this problem. I appreciate if someone can help me on this issue.

I will never ever buy another LG product of any kind. I purchased my washing machine almost five years ago and have been fighting with it ever since. At ok never point I discovered that the machine had actually been recalled. The machine was known to vibrate across the floor. The techs have been out numerous times but when Home Depot called they said they were only out twice, once a no power issue. They are so misinformed. I had the motherboard replaced and other issues. Now if I wash a quilt the machine stops and flashes. Then when I put it on Spin Only it shoots out water!! So I am left with soggy blankets. I am so furious and disappointed. They should have designated this a lemon four years ago. I think someone needs to instigate a class-action lawsuit against LG. Why are we putting up with this??? I plan to have my lawyer look into this. The techs are coming again on Friday. They will say the same nonsense. I will tell them it is time to sue.

Eight years ago, I purchased an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I have been very satisfied with my purchase until 9 days ago when the thermal coupler went bad in the dryer, and I have now been waiting for 6 days to have that part replaced. I cannot fault the repair service I am using in my area. They are as frustrated as I am. They, too, are waiting on the part. So here is what I learned...I have had the dryer for 8 years and it performed well and I am pleased with the product; however, what I am not pleased with is that when a repair is needed, there are not any US parts manufacturers for LG. So if the part is not available in the US warehouse, you must wait for them to get the part in, which is the situation I am in at this time. Buyer, beware. The LG appliances are top end and perform well, however, if they need service, you might be better off to buy an American made product by Samsung (i.e. Whirlpool). At least, when those popped together plastic parts break, they are manufactured in the US and you wont have to wait for 7 days! I also own an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and as I said, a washer...Because of my experience with my dryer, I have added to my nightly prayers that they dont need repair because this is past ridiculous. If I would have known that the appliances couldnt be repaired in a timely manner, I would have probably purchased a less well made and certainly cheaper appliance!

LGs 2 year old dishwasher nearly burned my house down then they quietly clo
LGs 2 year old dishwasher nearly burned my house down then they quietly closed 6 cases I opened with 6 representatives to discuss the matter along with the damage their dangerous equipment caused. On the 6th attempt, I asked the representative if it was normal for the previous 5 cases to automatically be closed without any communications, she confirmed it was very odd and she never saw that happen before (all calls were recorded). Additionally, both racks rusted through after 2 years of use. LG agreed to send replacement racks since it was under warranty but they were never delivered. The LG dishwasher also created water damage under the counter, which resulted in a 6 crack under the counter. The root cause was the result of extremely poor engineering by LG. 1) Poorly designed seal which didnt use common design engineering knowledge, 2) an extremely poorly designed latch design, which places a hole in the latch an inch away from the poorly designed seal. The major safety hazard here is that the hole in the latch provides a direct path to the electrical switches in the door latch assembly. These issues are further discussed below.I originally provided LG with a video showing how their dishwasher shorted and burned at the LG dishwasher door latch switch. I discovered the melted door latch assembly and exposed shorted wires because the dishwasher smelled like it was burning. They clearly have design and quality issues. The risk is too high to ever consider an LG appliance again. I also have a 6 month old LG refrigerator and the compressor is occasionally making loud noises... more quality issues with another LG appliance. I also had the V20 for two years. It was a horrible phone. LG provided infrequent updates. So glad I returned to Samsung with the Note 9 and now the Note 20 Ultra... anyways...Here is the video showing the charred and melted door latch after it nearly burned my house down. I also included a second video to diagnose the issue, since there was no longer power to the unit. **. I bought their control board (potted PCBA) for about $200 and a door latch assembly with the correct switches. After installing the new board and latch assembly, I learned that the dishwasher seal suffered from excessive compression set due to a poor mechanical design by LG. Compression set is when the rubber remains compressed and doesnt return to its original shape. This typically occurs when rubber is compressed at more than 50%. The problem can be easily avoided by limiting seal compression to a maximum of 50%. This is basic design engineering knowledge but apparently, LG failed with that very trivial design requirement. In addition to a poorly designed seal, it turns out that my house almost burned down because of a really, really bad LG latch design where the latch opening created direct access to the electrical switches. This is a major safety hazard because the seal preventing water from leaking is about an inch away from the switches; this creates a direct path from the seal to the switches. Water was leaking through the top of the seal and directly through the latch assembly and into the switches. The distance from the seal to the switches is about 1-2 inches so if it leaks, it can cause a fire. The same issue was going to happen again if I continued using the dishwasher. At this point, its clear there is a safety hazard. I will likely start connecting with class action law firms to take further action, since LG continues to quietly close all cases I opened to discuss the matter. It is incredibly alarming that LG would learn of this information and choose to quietly silent my cases. It seems like LG doesnt care about the safety of their customers since they have not responded to my very troubling concerns. Im sure this will elicit a canned response from LG and a request to settle it privately. However, it is troubling that they wouldnt want to make this issue well-known and have a safety recall. My house almost burned down and they quietly closed 6 cases I opened. LGs behavior is beyond unethical. Its also beyond negligent. It seems like it approaches criminal. I can only imagine what other safety hazards they are covering up.There are so many horrible reviews and stories from so many people about LG. I had a bad experience with them last year, which led to me buying another refrigerator after less than 2 years of having the new refrigerator... which also has problems. At this point, maybe I should notify the major retailers of the need to have a safety recall. They may not care about their customers, but they will care about the cost and brand issues associated with a major safety recall... especially when they tried covering it up.

We moved into our new home this past year and purchased all new LG applianc
We moved into our new home this past year and purchased all new LG appliances. Within about a month after we purchased our stove, we had problems with the main board, and it was replaced without a problem. At the end of May, we started having problems with our refrigerator. It began making loud noises and then shutting itself off. We contacted the company to arrange the repair, and the repairman scheduled a call for the end of the week. When the repairman didnt show, we called the service. We were told, at first, that someone would be there, and then we were told that we were never put on the schedule. A service man ended up stopping by and told us that the problem is also the main board. It is a common problem that he works on all the time. He continued to tell us that LG was a very poor product, and we shouldnt have purchased it because of all the problems he addresses with them. He said he would order the part and let us know when it came in. The following week, he told us mid-week that he ordered the part and was waiting for it. By the following Monday, my daughter became ill with the symptoms of food poisoning. I contacted LG again to complain and was told they would replace the unit with a new or upgraded model. The representative named Isla took my information and informed me it would be processed within business days as soon as they received a copy of our receipt. I uploaded the receipt and called them back. I was informed that they had received the receipt, and it would be sent to the replacement division who would call me back. Yesterday (5 days later), I called LG and the representative didnt seem to know what was going on so I requested to speak with a supervisor. I then talked to Sherry, who was actually nice and tried to be understanding. She told me that the person I talked to on Monday didnt do anything with the case and was not authorized to promise us anything. She said she would do what she could, but it was up to the Replacement Division to determine what would happen. After being on the phone with her for another hour and breaking down in tears over the frustration of dealing with them on this, she researched our case and assured me that she had sent it to the Replacement Division. A representative named Kim would contact me that afternoon. She also told me that if I didnt hear anything by 4:30 Central time, I should call them back as their day ended at 5:00 Central time. That would give Kim time to talk to me on the status. When I called back, I talked to a person named Courtney and asked to speak with a supervisor. She informed me that the supervisor was away from his desk. I asked her to either find him or allow me to stay on the phone until he returned. She refused and said the only options I had were to either leave a voice message or she would email him. I informed her that after my experience, I didnt trust them to get back to me. I wanted to speak to him immediately, which I was refused. Eventually, I agreed to have her email him with a copy sent to me, and she put me on hold. I was then connected with Kim, who was completely rude, and told me that they were not going to replace the unit. They were going to issue us a refund of the appliance, and that the paper work would be sent to us on Monday because the end of the day was in 12 minutes. She wouldnt bother to do anything that close to closing. She then told me it would take another week to process the paper work, send it to accounting and then eventually, they would issue us a check. If we are lucky, maybe in two more weeks. As far as the refrigerator is concerned, they dont want it back so we have to also figure out how to dispose of it. So now, we have a bad refrigerator that we cant use. The customer service department has been unprofessional AND irresponsible in handling our case, and we have no immediate resolution in sight. It is unacceptable that customers are being treated this way.
