Worst washer I ever purchased! Every load sends uneven balance message and if you are not right there will continue to rinse and spin for hours! Have to out anything with less or stays in mesh bag before washing! I HATE this washer and am frustrated that I need to buy a new one in less than 2 years! Do not buy this.

Purchased a LG washing machine on Nov. 17, 2016. Broke on Dec. 2. Had the repair man from LG out to fix it. Lasted 2 1/2 loads. Broke again. LG customer service gave me the runaround, but finally got the repairman out again. Replaced 3 parts. Machine failed again after 1 1/2 loads. Contacted LG. Got the runaround again, could not get LGs own repair man to come look at it. Finally have a 3rd appt. for Dec. 12. Dont have ANY confidence in LGs repair staff. Hoping after 3 fails they will replace the unit. Communication between customer service and their repair staff is TERRIBLE! Would I buy another LG machine? Probably not. All the their customer service can manage to do promptly and correctly is say Im sorry for your inconvenience. Even then, Im pretty sure they dont mean it.

To anyone seeking advice on an LG dishwasher, take heed to all of the complaints listed. I have experienced most of the complaints listed from the machine not rinsing, not drying, not cleaning. The worst appliance I have ever had in 40 years. I have not tried other LG products and Im not compelled to do so. However, Do not!!!!! Do not purchase this product line in a Dishwasher because you will be disappointed to no end. Im not going to fight it. Its not worth my time but I will never deal with this company again. I may have lost 350 dollars over the last 3 years but they lost my business and not just mine because Im spreading the word.

We purchased an LG fridge in November. Soon we noticed water puddling on top of the freezer door (bottom freezer model). Then we noticed that the water was freezing on the outside of the ice maker bucket, and that the ice cubes were melting then freezing together. When we used a blowdryer to melt some of the ice so we could remove the ice bucket, the melted water ran out, not from the dispenser as we would expect, but from all the seams in the door. On February 9th, I sent in a repair request. The provider I was given (which took a couple of days to receive) was unprofessional and after giving my address, told me they had no availability in my area and to find someone else and hung up. On February 14th, I received two more service providers contact info. One of them never answered my repeated calls. The other one informed me that they only serviced a neighboring county. Around February 21, I received another service providers contact info, and a service appointment was set up for March 1, between 8 am and noon. I took the morning off work. When the technician had not arrived by 12:30, I called the service provider who said they would contact the technician and get back to me. I was called back in a few minutes and was told the technician was stuck in traffic and would be at my home by 1 pm. At 1:15, he had still not arrived and I called the service again. She said she would call him again and get back to me. This time when she called back, she said he did not answer his phone and she that she left him a voicemail. When he finally showed up, around 2:30, he said that he had been running a little behind. After looking at the ice maker, he told me this was a common problem with this model of fridge and we would need a whole new door, which might or might not fix the problem, and someone would be in touch with me within 24 hours to set up an installation date and time. Nine days later, I got the call and an appointment was scheduled for March 13th, again between 8 am and noon. Again, I took the morning off work. Again, the technician did not arrive till after 2 pm. He did install a new door, said we were all set and left. And now the ice maker does not work at all. So far, Ive missed two days work, dealt with 4 incompetent and unprofessional service providers authorized by LG. Ive read many reviews praising LG products, but frankly all the reviews for their customer service are very negative (wishing we had checked those out and not just the product reviews when we purchased the appliances in November).

Im repeating what the others have said. The knobs of the LG 5-burner stove have broken a number of times and have also been accidentally turned on, only to fill the house with gas. I am afraid to go out and leave my animals in the house and check and recheck before I leave each time and I worry until I get back home.

I purchased my refrigerator in November of 2014. I began to have performance issues with the cooling fan within two weeks of operation. After a remote diagnosis I was told that the cooling fan was freezing up; when I asked about repairs I was told to just insure that all doors and draws were tightly close and to check all seals were air tight, bad advice. Between November 2014 and April 2016 the same issue continued to occur. After a series of calls and two more visits, LG would no longer return with pay; this was an ongoing issue. With no further help from LG the repairs were completed in 2017 through use of my home appliances insurance.

I purchased the above appliance from Sears about 4-5 years ago (need to find the receipt to be accurate) and it has been a nightmare. I have used many boxes of the cleaning product made by Tide to deodorize and contacted a serviceman (at my additional expense) who instructed me to use bleach (only to discover the bleach dispenser is not dependable), remove the entire dispensing tray after each day of laundry, dry the door seal and inside of machine, and leave the door ajar when not in use...... I continue to have a problem with a sickening smell emanating from my clean laundry. I am quite convinced that this washing machine does not clean my laundry...... Whites are grey to beige! Very often, I find wads of soap in towels which I believe is due to an inadequate amount of water. An answer to this aggravating and unhealthy problem would be wonderful. Thank you.

Our 4 year old LG front load washing machine started making a lot of noise during the spin cycle. We contacted LG who referred us to call an Authorized LG repairman. Well after a $100.00 service call that lasted about 30 minutes, we were told that the drum bearings were bad and not covered under the warranty and the machine would probably not be worth repairing.I will never buy another LG appliance again. It’s no wonder why LG has such a low rate of repairs on Consumer Reports magazine because their machines are not worth repairing!

Called a local technician who advised I needed to call LG but also advised the problem was with the compressor, a known and continuing problem with LG. Contacted LG, they sent repairman who fixed it. I have found that LG LRG3081ST turns on just by walking past the stove and bumping the knob. This has happened multiple times and needs to be addressed before my house blows up. This time the stove knob must have been turned on all night because the whole house smelled of gas fumes. I have looked all over the internet this morning to find out if there is any fix for this and have been unsuccessful in finding anything. This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. I have read that there is only one-year warranty on this stove and this is not under warranty because its a design flaw LG needs to fix.

I just used my A/C for a week. I heard a loud noise coming from outside and smelled electrical burning. I turned it off and tried it again - loud noise from outside the unit and burning smell. I turned the unit off. I was scared the unit was going to catch my house on fire. I called LG to have them service it. I already had the date and time and company they were sending. Then the customer service guy informed me the warranty had already expired 6 days ago. Really! This company could not honor it - after buying a refrigerator and stove from them. June 2011, we decided to replace our kitchen appliances. Not because our 27 year old Kitchen Aids did not work, but that they looked very outdated. After very much research, we decided on the LG 4 door LMX 28994 refrigerator with the Converta drawer, the LDF 7932 Dishwasher, and the LMS 2073 Microwave Oven. We choose to purchase a GE Monogram dual fuel range rather than an LG at that same time. Our decisions were carefully researched, and the choices made not only based on those particular appliances features, but also upon the then available reviews. 10 months later, we woke to find the food in our fridge warm and spoiled, and our dishwasher no longer working. April 2012, LG replaced our refrigerator, and when I asked if a new warranty would take effect, was advised by LG that they would only extend our existing fridge warranty by 3 months. I asked why? It was a brand new refrigerator... should it not have a one year warranty? Our dishwasher motor was replaced by LG that same month. 3 months later, our microwave started to malfunction, just after it was out of warranty. We did not purchase an extended warranty for the Microwave, but did purchase extended warranties for the refrigerator and dishwasher. Currently we once again have a refrigerator that requires servicing. Its making so much noise that it wakes us in the middle of the night, and our cheeses are going soft, and milk is warm. The service tech cant seem to decide if its the fan or the compressor. Our hope is that this issue is resolved before our extended warranty is up in June 2016, which by the way, is the only right thing we did when we chose to purchase LG appliances. We should have gone with all GE Monogram, since we have not had any trouble at all with our GE range. Our dishwasher has the worst designed racks weve ever seen, and we are now having to pre-rinse our dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Ahhh modern technology, got to love it. I wonder if Mr. Seong-Jin Jo, President and CEO for LG Appliance Company is aware of, or even cares about the multitude of dissatisfied customers LG appliance has. They may be trying too hard with their Innovation, sending their products out in the market before they have proven their reliability. After spending almost $4,000.00 to purchase our fridge, $1,500 on our dishwasher, and almost $500.00 on our microwave, one would hope that they would last more than a year or two. Never again would we buy LG anything.

I researched ovens forever and finally settled on an LG. I was so excited. I used it twice - once for a frozen dinner and once for a turkey. All the moisture and grease went straight into the area between the glass. I tried the self-clean (both kinds) and water from the self-clean went between the glass as well. There was obviously a seal issue. I called LG and they said no - its cosmetic (didnt seem to make a difference it happened from cooking once). I kept going from service rep to service rep and speaking to people until they sent out a service technician. I asked him can you please fix the seal issue? I told him I didnt care if he fixed it or replaced the door, either way that would have been fine. He said no I am going to order you a new door, it should take 6 weeks. I asked do I need to do anything? He said no. I called to check on the status of my new door and they said OH...LG declined to send it... Not one person from LG or the repair place called me to tell me that, not a word from anyone, the repair place passed the buck and said they were supposed to let you know.So I called, spent more time on the phone trying to explain they need to either fix the seal as every bit of moisture gets in there or replace the door. They didnt care. They said its just cosmetic, your oven still works. I asked them so what you are saying is that all your ovens have this issue, mine is not an exception, and you stand behind the fact that even a brand-new oven is going to look like hell? No answer. I asked about the implied warranty of merchantability and she checked with Legal and said no, they dont have to do anything because its considered cosmetic. She then went on to say it says in the manual not to put a lot of water directly on the oven... I proceeded to tell her I did not, I only followed the self-clean instructions to the letter and the repairman could see that there is a gap and all moisture is getting in. Did not matter and furthermore did not have ONE word, not even an apology for not contacting me to let me know that they had denied the request. No one at LG calls back and follows up and they just keep saying this is cosmetic and they dont care because people keep buying the product. When I brought it up to them that their customer service was not good and they needed to at least speak to their customers and let them know instead of just letting them wait - no response. It is also my opinion the repair companies they send are just as bad since they basically lied to me--that repairman looked me straight in the eye and said your new door should be here in about 6 weeks. I am warning anyone who is shopping for an oven - do not get an LG - unless you dont care if it looks like hell even the very first or second time you use it. Now I am going to have to research and find a repair person to see if I can have the problem fixed on my dime when this was 100% not my fault and LGs defective product. In summary, on top of the fact there is a seal issue within the glass, the customer service is the worst I have seen of any business I have dealt with. The fact that they say its cosmetic even though its a brand new oven shows that once they have sold the item, they do not care if that item looks bad through no fault of the customer. I can understand if the oven gets scratched or has some sort of cosmetic issue over time, but for this to be an issue right out of the box and for them not even to attempt to fix it (not necessarily replace but fix) is truly beyond the worst customer service there can be. I have never written a consumer report before but I am so mad and do not want anyone else to have this happen to them. I will never buy LG again (or for that matter, Samsung as they are all part of the same company) and recommend when purchasing an appliance of any sort - go with another brand do not buy LG unless you are willing to pay for problems even if they are not your fault.

We purchased an LG Gas Range for our new house in 2017. It was fine for a while with the exception that the last knob on the highest burner would go on with the slight touch or just rubbing by it slowly. This we had to be very careful of. The oven never seemed to be able to be adjusted to the proper temperature and I always had to add time to cooking. Then it decided to throw me F9s. We did everything we could to fix this problem but it would run right for one time and then be back to a F9 after heating to 110. I have stopped using the oven and after reading all the reviews I know I have a dud. No sense in having people to come out and try to fix it with this virus going on. No sense in putting good money into bad. I will never buy an LG product again.

I purchased LG washer and dryer, the best in STEAM technology and thought I did a good deal. While we dont know yet if the washer and dryer perform well or not, we were shocked the first time we used the washer today to hear a lot of banging. We discovered the water tap was not open. Then when the washing was ready, it was wrinkled so we suspected the rinsing was done with warm water!! And that was true; the techs from SEARS installed the hoses wrongly. I give the SEARS install team 2 stars, thats it.Then, I called LG Customer support to complain about SEARS and they basically dont care. During the call, I discovered that the one who answered, with very lousy English, was a total ignorant and didnt know anything about a thing. I liked our LG appliances just fine, until something went wrong. Luckily we purchased the extended warranty from Home Depot for our side-by-side refrigerator. Exactly three years later it isnt cooling and I called to have it repaired. It is going to be TWO WEEKS before someone can come and look at it. I called Home Depot to complain and they informed me that LG will no longer allow anyone except LG service people to make service calls, so their hands are tied. First contact on Feb 23rd for compressor replacement, 5 years into a ten-year compressor warranty. Lengthy wait on hold,13 verifiable calls later, as of March 5th, there has been no authorization for a compressor to be shipped to the service vendor. Service vendor made 7 of 10 calls in one day. LG will not provide a direct number to reach the same person twice. They will provide you with a badge number and first name. When you call back, there is no way to get back to the same person. Today they tell me it takes five days to process a parts authorization. They also tell me it will be another 7 to 10 days before they ship the parts once they are ordered.Once that happens, the service provider has to order the parts, and reschedule service at the home location. Both my self and the service provider have been sent to another company called Encompass who then has you start all over. I was told on March 1st that the authorization was in my email, all I had to do was open it. On March 2nd, I was assured it would be processed in 24 to 48 hours. Today, that has grown to 5-7 business days to approve parts. This has left me no choice other than to be a month or more without a refrigerator. The original purchase price was just over $2700.00 on sale.

Then when the new machine got to our house - had ongoing water leaks and still is leaking water. I believe I should have read all the comments people made on LG products before making my purchases. Sadly, I now have to be among the complainers, in Aug 2016 Ive purchased all LG appliances. I am already experiencing issues with the refrigerator and service. Refrigerator is constantly running, I swear it may stop for 5 min and run for hrs. I am tired keeping track. Ive called and emailed LG, their response was perhaps the doors and leveling need adjustment. In short, I contacted the store that I made my purchase from, & was told to call the warranty dpt. & when I did, the earliest that the technician can come out to check it out is mid-Sept. OMG what have I got myself into. Nobody needs to go through all this. Come on manufacturers start getting serious and listen to what people are saying. We are not just making noise, these are legitimate concerns and complaints. As consumers, we are paying high prices for appliances we should get good years of use without complaints.

I purchased the Wt1101cw washer almost two years ago. This could be a great machine if it didnt show UE-uneven-all the time. It takes forever to finish a wash! It doesnt matter if you are doing a small wash or a larger one. I feel that the agitator, located in the bottom of the drum is a poor design and thats why it is uneven. I have had that agitator replaced three weeks ago and now I am having the same symptoms. Repairman returning Monday. When you try to purchase the part it is out of stock-this tells me that I am the not the only one with the problem. There is even a You-Tube video showing how to repair it!! I spent a lot of money on this because of the LG name-they said it has to break four times before they will consider doing something. I have read multiple times in multiple places that people are saying the same things. I really think that this machine is defective. Thanks for listening!

LG Gas Range Knob Safety Issue - We recently purchased a 30 slide-in LG gas
LG Gas Range Knob Safety Issue - We recently purchased a 30 slide-in LG gas range and soon found out that it does not take much for the control knobs to be unintentionally rotated to the on position and start releasing gas without us noticing it. One has to lightly press each knob and the mechanical safety lock is immediately released which means the knob can be rotated unintentionally and Gas starts to be released. So far in the space of less than 3 weeks we have had at least three incidences when we did not know that the knobs were accidentally turned on (perhaps by people brushing by) and were only alerted by the smell of gas filling the kitchen. The Home Depot seems to have no return policy for major appliances but we shall be going back to our local store to see if they will make an exception and replace this range with another model. If they refuse to take it back, you will hear from me again.

Ive owned several refrigerators and in fact, we have an old fridge in the basement which is over 10 years old and it works well. It just didnt fit in the place upstairs. Nothing is broken on that older fridge. But THIS LG fridge, is in terrible shape. I just took out some shelves to clean and my middle shelf with the glass panel and meat keeper, disintegrated in my hand. Its in pieces. Im not rough on my fridges and I have never had this happen before. AVOID LG products will be my appliance mantra going forward.

We have a 5 month old refrigerator that has not been cooling since 11/15/2016. A tech named Jerry came on 11/16/2016 and told us that he will need to call a supervisor for assistance moving the refrigerator in order to repair it but he will call us back that afternoon. (By the way, it’s on rollers. My husband and I were able it with no issue and I’m 7 months pregnant.)We did not hear back from Jerry until a week later on 11/21/2016 even after multiple voicemails. When we called customer service for assistance because we couldnt reach the tech we were told that there was nothing they could do until the following Monday. We went all weekend without a refrigerator and had to throw out ALL of our food. When a different tech finally showed up on Tuesday 11/22/2016 we were told it would be another week (after Thanksgiving) before repairs could be done. Now we have to wait until 11/28/2016 (please remember that the refrigerator stopped working on 11/15/2016).In the meantime I have no way of storing milk for my two-year old whos been eating fast food every day because we have no way of keeping food cold. I called and spoke with corporate supervisor LeeAnn who was extremely unhelpful and rude. She told me I’d just have to wait a week and didn’t offer any solutions or to help us a bit. From the second she came on the phone, she was argumentative and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. We’ve had to call all of our family and cancel Thanksgiving. I understand that it’s Thanksgiving week and that getting someone out to repair the refrigerator might be an issue; however, we actually called the issue in a week before Thanksgiving. If something had been done then we wouldn’t be in the predicament!

We purchased a new LG Front Loader along with the gas dryer about four months ago. For the last four weeks, weve been noticing that our closing is having a mold smell. I was advised about cleaning it out when done and leaving the door open until next load to help prevent the mold from growing. We have tried everything but nothing works; just smelling like mold in the Florida heat.

It has been an harassment of sorts... different mechanics and experiments and still the same problem continues. Its even worse as its unattended despite innumerable calls to the customer care and the local customer manager doesnt answer. Planning to boycott LG.

We purchased a new LG dishwasher. After the 1st time using it came up with LE error. Paperwork mentioned problem with motor to call for service. I contacted LG service. She took down my information and told me she could not get it repaired for approximately 2 weeks. I then called Conns service and they stated they would get back with me within 48 hrs. 48 hrs came and went so I called back. They stated they cant find a repairman in the area. This was unacceptable so I contacted 2 other managers before I got any thing half way accomplished. They had to send a man to my house to verify it was getting the error code. They then decided yes it needs replaced. This should not be allowed. I just hope I can stop this before it happens to anyone else. Needless to say they are SUPPOSE to deliver a new one Friday.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

I bought this machine 3/10/2014. It has NEVER washed a load in less than 70 minutes. When I called a repairman he said, You use well water. Use WARM WATER, which I do. He recommended a special detergent as well as a special washing machine cleaner, WHICH I tried with no improvement. If the machine is SUPPOSED to wash a load in 35 MINUTES, I EXPECT it to take APPROXIMATELY 35 minutes. If this machine hadnt been so expensive to buy, I would have it hauled to the dump.

We had an issue with our water line that took a few months to resolve. Support scheduled service without telling us the day then saying that would contact us. I purchased this washer about 2.5 years ago and my frustration with it began shortly after I started using it due to its poor performance. It is frequently off balance. Even if it only has water and no clothes it will work for a minute or two then stop indicating its off balance. Washing clothes is an all day affair at times and I wash clothes by hand sometimes to avoid using this hated washer. When it becomes off balance it will drain the water out and refill again and again so any savings on low water usage are non-existent. I started a load at 6:00 am this morning and it should have taken 57 minutes. (It is now 7:45.) After my having to adjust the clothes in the barrel several times the machine tells me it needs 30 more minutes to complete which with my experience could actually mean multiple more imbalances and more time.... I truly HATE this washer and would encourage anyone to NEVER buy it.

Bought the 4.1 high efficiency top loader on 2/1/14 from Lowes and on 5/15/15 the washer broke. The codes that keep showing up is telling me the problem is with the drain hose. So Ive checked the hose, removed it, bought a new one and still the same code appears. So I took the back off to check if something is blocking the hose and nothing. When the clothes are washing the water will not drain it is aimed into my stationary tubs so I lay it on the floor and the water pours out but doesnt stop so the washer can fill up to actually clean the clothes. Called the 800 number to be told its out of warranty and I need to call a local repair man. Many places dont deal with LG repairs and the ones that do charge $100 just to look at the problem. A total waste of $800 on this item. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WASHER.

I was elated when I received the long overdue recall letter from LG! But much to my dismay, the recall repair has made a bad thing worse. I immediately called LG to schedule such repair and after the first visit, the machine has lost its track of time as well as the continuation of the UE error activity. Now a 35-minute speed wash can last all day if you do not babysit the machine and catch it before it starts ANOTHER rinse on the spin cycle. To top the matter off, the repair company sent by LG, Infinity Solutions, out of Irving Texas cannot keep a scheduled appointment! I have now missed 2 days of work by staying home to meet someone who does not show up. The excuses are unending. I will probably have to do the same thing as a previous dissatisfied customer proclaimed. Buy a cheaper washer and store this one until a lawyer can get some results. I cannot sell this 3-year-old machine to anyone in good conscience and I am sorry LG could.

It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise.
My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise. I looked up my problem on the internet and found that my unit has a know frost buildup issue. I called LG since it was still under warranty. They diagnosed the unit over the phone and scheduled a service appointment for me. A new control panel was mailed out to me. The tech was supposed to be at my home between 8 am and noon yesterday. I received a phone call the night before confirming him for between 10 and noon. The tech did not show up until 1:05. He then proceeded to empty out my fridge, remove all of the shelves and the bins. The vent behind the veggie bin was encrusted with ice which he melted and chiseled away. Then the back panel inside was removed which revealed the entire coil frozen and encrusted with ice. It took until after 3 PM for him to melt all of the ice which resulted in my having towels both wet and dry all over the kitchen, a bucket for the excess water, not to mention my food, bins and shelves strewn about. The tech pulled out the fridge and replaced the control panel on the back. Then came the process of putting everything back together and putting all of the food back in. I then had to wash a load of towels and clean the fingerprints and streaks off of the stainless steel fridge. Well the first thing that I noticed was the once firm and solid bin holder now wobbles. But that is not the worse part, the worse part is that today, one day later, the fridge has begun to make the same sound and the ice is already forming around the vent. I was assured the control panel (brain) would fix the problem. Well it seems to me that this is not the case and I know have to go through this again not knowing if the LG tech can figure out what actually is wrong. I called for another appointment and was told that as of now none is available for Monday or Tuesday so I have to call back on Monday to see when the next available appointment will be. Why should a new appliance have these issues? Why shouldnt an LG tech be able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first business? Why shouldnt I be able to get an immediate appointment for a return visit to rectify the problem? Im regretting my decision to go with LG. I should have purchased a Samsung refrigerator. I own an LG Phone, an LG smart TV and this refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG product again. Am I expected to miss another day of work to be available for service, suffer the mess and inconvenience of the repair process and then not know if after the second visit if it will be fixed or not?

LG Refrigerator Model LFX31925ST - I purchased this refrigerator March 25, 2012. On November 20, 2017 I returned home and the refrigerator/freezer were warm and unit was no longer cooling. I called LG Support which states that they are available 24/7. This is not accurate. After spending approximately 20 minutes on the phone the agent was to book an appointment that would take up to 5 working days. I told her this was unacceptable. She gave me the telephone number to call to see if I could get an earlier appointment on my own. After several attempts to a cellular phone number with a mailbox that was full I began contacting LG Support once again. At 5:10 pm November 21, 2017 I was told by a different customer support agent (Ron) that in fact NO appointment had been booked. So I asked the agent to please book this appointment and voiced my sincere frustration with LG. Throughout the conversation hints were dropped and upon clarifying with this agent in fact the 5 working days is just a timeline for someone (and I stress someone because they would not tell me who) would get back to me to actually book an appointment. I attempted to have other reputable local repair shops do the work (including the distributor where I purchased the LG Appliance here in Edmonton Alberta) to be told by every one of them they cannot do the repairs because LG would not sell them the parts. LG has cornered their repair market and the consumer has no way of expediting repairs to critical necessities. This is an unacceptable practice in my eyes and this is not stated anywhere in the warranty documents. This is misleading and irresponsible practice. As a customer who has spent hard earned money on LGs product and has to wait a minimum of 5 working days just to find out when an appointment will be made is ridiculous. Some complaints indicate upwards of three weeks for service. LG did not seem to care about this logic and came off like our present prime minister and just re-responded that someone will contact me within 5 working days (now 6 because the first agent didnt book an appointment at all).

After having a house fire and needing all new appliances, we decided to go with an LG 4 piece kitchen appliance package from Home Depot for nearly $3,000. Within 5 years (right after the extended warranty we purchased had expired) the dishwasher stopped draining. We ate the cost of that and got rid of it and purchased one from a competitor. We have also had problems with our oven, sometimes it will go through periods where it wont turn on, then its fine the next day. Again, we are just dealing with that at this point since we cant afford to purchase a new one right now. Finally, we are now dealing with our refrigerator. At $1600 our refrigerator has stopped working due to a bad compressor at less than 8 years old. There is only one technician in our area that LG will let repair this, and while the part is still covered by the manufacturer warranty, the labor is going to be between $500 and $700. This is ridiculous! We had so many options when choosing our appliances and we put our trust and money into LG. We have been living out of a mini fridge for two weeks because we dont have the money to make this repair. After reading all of the same complaints about this refrigerator, LG should be held accountable and make this right for their customers!

Our LG clothes washer is consistently - awful! Clothes come out ‘stiff and unwashed. For example, a folded handkerchief comes out of the wash still perfectly folded. Terrycloth towels come out stiff and scratchy instead of soft and relatively fluffy. Most of the time, some parts of a pair of pants, for example, are not even wet when the wash is done. The problem, I think, is lack of water. It is impossible to get enough water into the (front-loading) machine to properly wash clothes - even when the extra water option is used. Way back when I lived in military barracks and used front-loading washing machines, the water level was generally a third to half way up the front window. Not so with this LG machine. I really regret buying it.

I looked at the warranty, parts are covered for 1 year and the compressor is covered for 10 years. After I had a tech out to look at the problem the total cost to repair the fridge was $850 which included a free compressor that was covered under the warranty. The issue was all of the other parts that were damaged by the oil leaking out of the faulty compressor are not covered under the parts warranty. This is a total scam by LG who made inferior products. We bought a LG refrigerator and since the time we received it the ice maker has not worked correctly. We called LG and they would tell us what to do over the phone. It would work for a few days and break again. This happened 3 times. Then the ice maker broke completely. We called them to come out and they said it would be in a week. When the week rolled around they called and said they had no one that could come and fix it, and would call when they had someone. After waiting for a week I called them to see what was going on and they said they had no one that could come and fix it but they would schedule it for 2 weeks from today. No guarantee they would be able to come out. I asked to talk to a supervisor. After explaining the situation to her the supervisor told me she didnt care if it was fixed or not, the appointment that was scheduled or not. This ice maker has never worked and we have to run to the store everyday to buy ice since it very hot out. I cannot call another tech out because they said it will void our warranty so the supervisor said take it or leave it, I dont care what you do.

Bought washing machine a little over 5 years. Front loader, very good looking LG model. One day the washing machine wasnt turning and started leaking water. Out of warranty, I decided to take it apart. I found that a piece of the back spider had broken off. The spider made a hole at the bottom of the plastic drum. Then, as you can see from the pictures noticed that the spider itself was crumbling into pieces. I bought the spider from SEARS parts and to my surprise the part was made by LG and it was bad, defective. When I inspected the spider had tiny cracks all over the place and in the crucial sections. My complaint is how can LG manufacture a spider that lasted less than 6 years and then does not try to fix its mistakes by improving the defective parts but just makes more of the same low quality.

We purchased an LG refrigerator with ice maker about 4 years ago. We have had several issues with this unit because the ice maker would continually overfill and flood the back of the unit. We have had numerous issues with flooding and ice all over the floor and with the unit not keeping food cold enough. We contacted LG for service, only to realize that it would take two weeks to install a new compressor and worrying if that would hold. I had just purchased food from BJs and lost over $200.00 in food. Not willing to re-experience this again, we ran out to Lowes and purchased a Samsung refrigerator which will be delivered tomorrow. I will never buy another LG product again. Made in Korea, and you must wait to replace parts.

We bought an LG LFX31925ST French Door refrigerator in January 2012. It has operated flawlessly. Both my wife and I have frequently commented on what a great purchase this was. We recently observed a periodic error message indicating that a freezer fan was failing. Since I dont expect anything mechanical to run forever, I was happy that the product pointed me to the likely problem with an error message. I was impressed that I was easily able to download owner and repair manuals online, and that part diagrams and the parts themselves were readily available from numerous sources. We ordered the needed part and removing the freezer drawer and replacing the back wall with new sensor and fans was a $100 repair that took 45 minutes at most.We have owned refrigerators in the past that required a new ice maker every year. Our LG ice maker is now more than 5 years old and with daily use still works perfectly. Im sold on LG products. I dont have the receipt anymore, but these are the registration details: Model Number: LFX31925ST. Serial Number: 106KREL0F452. Purchase Date: 01/12/2012.

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

I cannot wait to buy a new dishwasher. This LG inverter direct drive DOES NOT dry dishes, glasses, utensils, nothing really. Water is often left standing on the top of dishes and glasses. The smell coming from the dishwasher is something Ive been working hard to get rid of to no avail. Bleach, vinegar, you name it, doesnt fix it. As of lately, my dishes are not coming out clean either. I always rinse my dishes/utensils before placing them in the dishwasher. I actually questioned myself if I even ran the dishwasher because of how dirty they came out-and it did run! At this point, Id rather just hand wash my dishes to know they are actually clean and dont come out smelling terrible. The only plus to this dishwasher, is that it is quiet. Id take a louder dishwasher that actually does its job over this quiet one!

So LG built a bunch of refrigerators that last only three years. Wow, I have a Kitchen Aid that is still going after 19 years. Let’s see Canada or Korea. Would not buy ever again. LDG4313ST Gas Range - Since buying this range in December we have had 3 major problems. 1. Finish on bottom panel peeling off. 2. Convection oven making a loud noise, spewing soot, and setting off our carbon monoxide alarm. 3. Oven temperature varies hugely. I contacted LG the first time letting them know I read the owners manual I was given and saw nothing about foil placed on the bottom to catch drips. I make an apple pie during the holidays and for years I have always put foil on the bottom of whatever range I was using to catch the drips. Never had a problem before. Got a form letter saying that though placing foil on the bottom was a common practice that in THEIR ranges you could not. I further investigated their manual and found something in troubleshooting about it. By then, it was too late. The form letter gave no information about how to get a replacement panel. Poor customer service number one.The first time I tried to use the convection oven it smelled weird and then set off the carbon monoxide detector. I found soot on the front glass door. I entered another complaint. This time they sent out a service person. He called them and turns out this is a known problem. The oxygen/gas mix is too rich. So we have been waiting for over a month for the mod. I call appliance company. They say its back ordered with no known date for coming in. I also have them order the base panel. They got the part number. 50 bucks. Irked me, but figured at that point it wasnt that much, I would pay for it.After a long 40 minutes on hold to get to customer service at LG I was first told the mod was back ordered. Then I was told that it was the base plate that was back ordered and they could get the mod part within 3 or 4 days. I said, Fine, fix the dang convection oven so I can use it. Even though there are only 2 screws to install, they say base plate must be put in by a tech. They confirm they wont pay for it, even though we have been waiting a month to even get any news about parts.THEN, this weekend I attempted to bake a cake. I have noticed some issues with cookies, but managed. The cake rose as it should in the middle and then fell by the time I looked again. I checked the temperature and according to the panel, (I shut off and then turned back on to see what temp it thought it was) it was down to 250 when I had it set at 350!!! What the heck!!! I then checked the complaints on LG stoves and many people have problems with widely varying temperatures. LG has refused to allow techs to replace the control boards saying this is how they operate!!! They have come up with lots of excuses with customers. At this point, I have no intention of calling them back. I am copying all the complaints about their ranges and going to see if I can get Home Depot to take it back. Its a piece of junk. If they wont take it back, then I will start with LG. I want a refund. I do NOT want another stove from them. I will never again buy another LG product. They have awful customer service and dont seem to give a crap about the fact their products dont perform as they should. One positive note. The melting knob problem is fixed on this model. Only if the ranges worked.

Have this stove for less than 5 years. From one day to the next the oven just stopped working. Error code F9 displayed on oven control panel and when I checked manual it states the regulator valve is closed. How can this shut off without it being touched? We unplugged the stove for an hour and still the oven doesn’t heat. Also, the burner control knobs just turn on their own by the slightest bump. Few times smelled gas and it was because the knobs had turn unknowingly. This is very dangerous. The grates are even changing colors. It seems the warranty is no longer in effect. Now what?

We purchased an LG French door fridge in September 2014. The fridge has broken over 6 times since then. Fridge freezing, freezer not working, total shut down, you name it it broke. The computer board went 2 or 3 times, partly due to bad repair and wrongly installed. The compressor then went. Through all of this we lost hundreds of dollars of food and the fridge leaked and ruined our kitchen cupboards. Calling LG is the worst customer service. They provide the run around and takes days/weeks to respond and constant followup is required. They constantly say they are reviewing our case, but then come back and it is up to us to call back in and book something else. We are on the 6th time the fridge broke down, 9 days no fridge and numerous calls to LG. Avoid LG fridges!!!

We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Life has not been good with LG.

I purchased a LG refrigerator from Abt Electronics in 12/15. Less than 8 months, the ice maker was not working. The manufacturer came out, ordered the part and had it delivered to my house the next day. He returned to install it. Then less than 18 months after purchasing the new refrigerator, it started making a strange noise. The next morning, there was water in it.Called LG and was told the warranty was up since it was over a year old to call Abt and use my extended warranty service. Called Abt, they diagnosed the problem as it needing a new condenser! Had to wait on the part. Returned a week later installed the condenser. Later the same day, the panel on the doorways showing an error code and the ice maker or water dispenser wouldnt work nor was it cooling in the refrigerator but the freezer was working. Used my extended service warranty again, had to wait a week to get the part and reschedule another service call. They came out to install the fan.I have now had all three major parts on this less than 1.5 year old LG refrigerator. What else can go wrong now? Thank goodness I had an old 30 year old refrigerator in my garage to use as a backup! Wouldnt ever buy an LG refrigerators again. Hoping this last five years! My earlier refrigerator lasted 22 years with no repairs. I just bought a new one since I had my kitchen remodeled!

LG top load washer WT1201C - This clothing washer has one major flaw. If working properly it automatically balances the load. If it detects that the load is not balanced it will automatically rebalance it before completing the cycle. However, it frequently is unable to do this, requiring the operator to remove all the items and replace them in the washer. This often happens more than once during the cycle. If you are not constantly monitoring its operation you may check after the amount of time for the load has elapsed to find that it never completed its cycle. I would not recommend this product for this reason. I would never buy this again.

Eight years ago, I purchased an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I have been very satisfied with my purchase until 9 days ago when the thermal coupler went bad in the dryer, and I have now been waiting for 6 days to have that part replaced. I cannot fault the repair service I am using in my area. They are as frustrated as I am. They, too, are waiting on the part. So here is what I learned...I have had the dryer for 8 years and it performed well and I am pleased with the product; however, what I am not pleased with is that when a repair is needed, there are not any US parts manufacturers for LG. So if the part is not available in the US warehouse, you must wait for them to get the part in, which is the situation I am in at this time. Buyer, beware. The LG appliances are top end and perform well, however, if they need service, you might be better off to buy an American made product by Samsung (i.e. Whirlpool). At least, when those popped together plastic parts break, they are manufactured in the US and you wont have to wait for 7 days! I also own an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and as I said, a washer...Because of my experience with my dryer, I have added to my nightly prayers that they dont need repair because this is past ridiculous. If I would have known that the appliances couldnt be repaired in a timely manner, I would have probably purchased a less well made and certainly cheaper appliance!

I wanted to know why this was happening, then they said they would replace the gasket. The technician came out and did replace the knobs and gasket. At the time I asked what happens if this happens again? Sure enough, six months later, melting knobs, LG offered the same solution. I argued this should not be happening, concerned heat was escaping, did not want the same repair. The second technician agreed I needed a new oven and called LG while he was here. They refused to give him a return authorization number. The technician said there was a recall and I should be persistent. We purchased a complete new set of appliances (including this LG electric range) in September 2011 at Best Buy. During the late summer/early fall of 2013 we began to experience difficulty turning the stove top burners off. This progressively got worse and shortly thereafter we started to wake up in the morning to a glowing red burner on high; so it also turns “on” by itself. Since then (approx. 6 months ago) I regulate our LG electric range by turning off the “range” breaker in our house circuit panel. This is really inconvenient. I quickly looked online to see if others experienced this problem and soon became aware of recall #13-031 initiated on November 8th, 2012. I then called LG and explained the issues; they transferred me to the recall department who initially said “sorry, your range is outside of our recall parameters; it’s too new”. I explained that I have the identical make, model, symptom, and purchase location as what recall #13-031 states. They didn’t care. I then informed LG that I also have three young daughters and I am afraid I will forget to turn the household circuit breaker off and one of them may get burned or our house could burn down one night. Again this didnt matter.During this same call the lady I was speaking with asked if we still owned our LG top load washer. I said “yes, we love it”. She said that unit has a recall and they would send an authorized tech out to repair it. This occurred in the late October/early November time frame and the washer was never the same, ruined. They tried several more times then finally agreed to replace it. We went without a washer for two months and commuted to and from the laundry mat almost daily while we waited. They finally exchanged it with a new model which runs great. During this wait I kept on calling LG customer service not only asking where our replacement washer was, but also updating them on our LG electric range. One day in December I finally was able to talk to a sympathetic recall rep who said “your range is included in the recall; it’s deep in our notes”. He said he would arrange the recall repair, finally! A few days later the local LG authorized repair center called and said they could not find our unit listed or a recall number which they needed to obtain the parts. I called LG again, spoke to a lady, and she could not validate my previous call. Regardless she heard me out and said “we will take care of this under good will”. The LG authorized service center came out in early December to inspect it, verified the problem and ordered the parts. They returned on December 17th, 2013 and installed the new parts and as soon as we activated the breaker the burners lit up red on high; once again the recall made our appliance worse. I stood right next to the tech when he called the LG tech line on speakerphone. They informed him not to touch it anymore; he has done all he can do. They will review it for replacement. Again, this occurred on 12-17-2013. I was emailed a link and submitted my proof or purchase. Then a few weeks later on 1-10-2014 I was contacted by an RA coordinator, “**”. She said LG would issue a refund but first needed to pick up our range, truck it to Minneapolis, package it, right it to Illinois, inspect it and then issue payment. She said this process would take “2 to 3 weeks” which after our recent washer experience I really have to question. I asked what we should do for 2-3 weeks without a range? She said we could front the costs of a new range and if we don’t have the money then perhaps we could explore financing it at zero percent interest then pay it off when the check arrives… I then asked what if LG repairs our range and ships it back or rejects the claim? Dead silence… I politely said this would not work for us. We have a very dangerous LG range and we want it repaired or replaced just as LG did with our washer a few months ago. We cannot afford to be without a range for 2-3 weeks nor can we afford to purchase another new range and wait for unknown results. LG denied this request three times (last conversation on 3-18-14) stating because our LG electric range is not part of the recall. So here we sit waiting, not sure this above experience is aligned with the LG Mission Statement.

We purchased the LG Model # LDF7774WW just a few months ago and from the very first wash we noticed that it would not clean the dishes properly, even though I am in the habit of rinsing off the dishes under running water with a dish scrub brush before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, there is a setting for heated water on the panel. It clearly shows the temperature of 160 degrees. However, after suspecting this claim, I tested the water mid-wash with two distinctly different thermometers, one electronic, the other mechanical. Both thermometers showed readings of between 110 degrees and 109.4 degrees. This washer is simply designed to be inferior. Our past GE dishwasher would superheat the water to the point where you could get a mild burn if you were not careful removing metal items from the washer at the end of the cycle. With LG, the dishes feel a little warmer than room temp at the end of the cycle. Avoid this brand and especially this model. It is garbage.

LG washing machine WT4870CW. What a piece of junk this machine is, $727.99 and less than two years old. This machine sometimes has a smell to it, take forever to do a load of wash and puts pulls in my clothing and now it leaks water out over the tub. (A computer problem with the amount of water being put into the machine.) When I originally took it apart to check where the water was coming from I was shocked at how cheap it was built. They advertise stainless steel DRUM but they dont tell you is the outside tub which holds the water is plastic, look like a big water cooler jug, you can see right thru it. They also make a big deal out of the ten year warranty on the direct drive motor because they know the machine wont last that long. Called customer service for help with my problem, what a joke, had some guy with an accent reading from a book and so much noise in the background I could hardly hear him. He gave me the number for the local repair place in my area and told me I would have to pay for labor but the parts were free. I called them and nothing was free and they didnt even like working on them because they have problems getting parts, most times they have to order them for Korea and they take a very long time to get. In fact the company who repairs them doesnt even sell them because they have so many problems. (They dont like Samsung either, both made in the same country.) I decided I wasnt putting more good money into a bad product so Im just going to take my loss. I bought a new Speed Queen with an agitator and all manual controls, I dont need a computer operated washing machine, I have ten good fingers and can turn three dials, and hit one switch. (Top rated machine on the market, fewest repairs.) I will never buy anything made by LG again, Im keeping my paper work on the old machine in case they ever have a class action suit against them. I hope everyone who has problems with this machine tells all their friends to stay away from LG.

I had purchased the extended bumper to bumper HH Gregg warranty. What a joke that was. After months of runaround, neither HH Greg or LG would do anything about the broken doors, claiming I had abused the fridge without so much as a service call to even inspect it. I just ended up going online and buying replacement parts. Now the icemaker has stopped working and no one seems to know exactly what part number I need to fix it. I purchase the LG High-Efficiency washer and Electric dryer in 2011. For the past several years the bleach dispenser has become increasingly rusted, and now it is to the point where the clothes washed when the bleach dispenser is used are coming out with rust stains. I thought it might help if I left the washer top open after each wash to allow it to dry out, but this has not helped, and the top is becoming so rusted it will soon be unusable. The dryer no longer completes a full cycle on most of the settings - it will begin and then shut down within a few minutes. I am very disappointed in this product and will not purchase another LG set again.

Life is not good with this LG refrigerator model LFX31925ST/00. We never have any ice. The icemaker had been replaced 3 times in 2 years. Even it works, it is not enough ice for a single person let alone a family. We are lucky enough that we purchased the extended warranty, but that doesnt help the fact that we are inconvenienced all the time with doing without ice for days on end calling repair, staying on hold, waiting for parts from FedEx, then waiting for repair men. Contacted LG... who does not care to say the least. I was told to deal with the puerile I bought warranty from because their year was up.
