Weve had the UE issue since we bought the LG top load washer and it has gotten progressively worse. LG customer service is willing to send out a tech for $300, are you kidding me?? Make a product that works! Weve only had the washer for a few years and its had the issue since the beginning. This issue seems to be pretty wide spread and is causing consumers to waste water and endless hours trying to get a load to wash properly. This needs to be a recall or it will soon be a class action lawsuit.

In summary we have bought LG Fridge and the first time it malfunction in less than 5 years the formal support in Egypt came. They took the malfunction electronic card but never showed up again for more than 3 months and left us with unfunctional fridge. Last week they returned it unfixed to tell us that we have a piece of scrap metal in our home that cannot be fixed by its own company!!! It is a total failure to be unable to fix your own products in less than 5 years for the first time it malfunction. I am searching for a lawyer to sue them.

Our upside down fridge has been tremendous with inky 2 exceptions. The door trays are too flimsy, even though I do not load them with too heavy items. The freezer baskets allow things to fall through or get caught. The baskets need to be of a solid material and not open weave.

I wish I would have read reviews on here before purchasing. I bought four LG kitchen appliances less than a year ago. My fridge/freezer stopped working correctly and I have been getting the run around from LG for the past week. I have been calling every 24 hours for an update. Each time I call, I get a new timeline. First it was 24-48 hours, then it was 3 business days, then 3-5 business days, then they escalated my case which means another 3-5 business days. They tell me they cannot find someone in my area to come repair it although I live in suburban Chicago. Ive called service providers listed on their website who said they could come out the next day but LG has still not contacted them directly. I lost a freezer and fridge full of groceries and now cannot have any fresh food while in the middle of a pandemic. I am very unhappy with their customer service and the quality of my fridge.

I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

Updated on 03/25/2021: After my review LG replied, that I can call LG and they gave me an authorization number. They said that LG will contact me within 7-10 business days or I can call them. I called them today, since nobody contacted me. I was told that my claim was rejected because there was not enough documentation from the technician and the technician did not state that the dishwasher is not reparable! I said that he did not say that. I was standing next to him when he called LG and was told that there was a recall on the dishwasher and he received TCC number which I also wrote down. (And I was told later by LG that they cannot find that number in their system) This is a technician from LG. This is not mine technician. I do not really know or care what paperwork they need to exchange. I am trying to have working dishwasher for 6 months now! I do not know why LG is not standing behind their product and cannot resolve this problem in 6 month. I have ordered this in June 2020. I do not care if the dishwasher is repaired, replaced, but I just need to have functional dishwasher.Original Review: In June 2020 I have ordered LG dishwasher from Home Depot for one of rental units I manage. Because of shortage of appliances it came 2 months later. This is one of many dishwashers I bought, but all others were Samsung. When tenant moved in this unit, they called me that there is a rubbery smell and smoke coming from the dishwasher after about 30 min of washing. I called LG, LG said the tenant has to call because they will take them through different steps. Tenant was told that they have to keep running it that it is normal that the dishwasher is new. But smell did not go away. Technician came in, but said that he cannot stay for the whole cycle and they should keep running it. Then I called LG and was told that they will call another technician and got another appointment. (4 months has passed already.) My tenant moved out because they could not use the dishwasher. Another technician came and spent a lot of time examining the dishwasher then he called LG and found out there was a recall on this dishwasher and gave me TCC number which LG gave him. I was told I will just call LG and give them the number and they will exchange the dishwasher. I called LG that I am calling because there was a recall on the dishwasher and gave them the TCC number. LG told me that they do not have the number in their system and they will call the repair company (which LG sent) and they will call me back. Nobody called me nor they called the repair company! I tried the next day and was told that the recall department will call me back... Again nobody called me. It has been 5 months since I have reported problem for the first time. Nobody can still wash dishes and my apartment is vacant since I cannot place new tenant in till I have dishwasher. LG is a nightmare to deal with. I do not understand how they can stay in business. I will never buy any LG product because of the customer service they provide. There is nobody who takes ownership and resolves an issue. My tenant was so upset they wrote to VP of LG. Tenant is in the process of building a home and they make sure none of their new appliances are LG.

We purchased a $1,000 LG washing machine in October 2011. We had always bought Kenmore, but the salesperson said that LG was a great company with good products. So we made the purchase. When the machine was delivered I had noticed on the interior rim that the paint (porcelain?) finish was not smooth in a couple of places about the size of a quarter - this would be directly under the spray head and another area a few inches from the spray head. The delivery person didnt seem to think this was an issue. About 2 years later I noticed that the area directly under the spray head was turning brown, but I didnt think twice about it because at the time I didnt realize this round piece of plastic was a spray head. Well today when I was wiping down the interior of the machine 2 places the size of a pencil eraser came off exposing the metal of the machine. So I called LG to find out what could be done. The first person asked me to upload them and photo, which I did. She told me this was rust and LG would not do anything as this is considered cosmetic. Im like REALLY, this machine is less than 4 years old and rusting. Yup that was the answer. Not good enough for me. So I had purchased an extended warranty - warranty only covered moving parts but they gave me some advice. They told me, in their opinion, this was poor workmanship/defective product and LG should be responsible. So I called LG back and this time I spoke to a head supervisor, of course this was after I had to go through the whole issue with another service rep, just like it was my first call. This woman was so rude, kept cutting me off when I was talking and could not have cared less so I asked that I speak to her supervisor. I asked 3 times to talk to her supervisor and she told me that they do not handle this type of issue and NO I could not talk to them. She repeatedly kept cutting me off saying she would give me phone numbers for some companies to come and make the repair. I am ready for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT but not sure how to get in touch with those of you that indicated you want to do the same.

Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times.
Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times. The first time, LG repaired within the first year. Second time occurred three weeks ago. The warranty company contracted a local appliance repair company to come out. They came out and diagnosed the issue, then said they needed to order a new compressor and should take three to five days. On day three, I call the company to find out status of compressor. They indicate it had not yet arrived. I call every day after that for another week and could not get anyone to answer the phone. My wife and I are both professionals and do not have time to deal with a fridge company. On day eleven or so, I file a complaint on Better Business Bureau website. Less than twenty minutes later, I get a call. Company comes out to install the new compressor a day later. Repair guy says it is fixed and leaves. Later that day, I again noticed the fridge was not working. Fridge is still broken!!! Now another lost work day and more time on the phone and internet wasting my time dealing with a terrible LG Product! There has to be legal recourse with so many complaints. I bet the majority of us have the same model. LG needs to be held accountable for selling a $2500 piece of junk!

Boy, do I wish I had read this website 2+ years ago, when I decided to purchase this LG WT5070CW HE WaveForce top loader. I too was swayed by the glowing review from Consumer Reports. Ive been burned several times for following their recommendations, but thats a different story. This has to be the worst washing machine ever. I agree with everything everyone has already said. The bleach dispenser on my machine is also rusting (identical picture to the ones already posted).Ive had clothes come out with detergent still on them, dry spots where the water never even penetrated, all stains are still on the clothes. Ive re-washed, soaked, applied stain removers, etc... If theres any grease/oil component to the stain, you will still have it on your clothes -- even after the heavy duty cycle. Try to do a load of sheets (and Im talking about one set of sheets without the pillow cases) - they just float on the surface and never get pulled down into the tub of water. Come out stale smelling. I am so over this machine. How does something like this get foisted on the public? There are so many identical complaints. I could have written each one of these posted here. As I am merely reiterating that which has been said, I will stop. I have just purchased a Speed Queen top loader (old fashioned agitator type) that Ive never heard any negative reviews about. Its being delivered tomorrow morning. Hallelujah! I am donating this present piece of garbage to whomever wants it.

I had purchased a Sears Kenmore Fridge model #795.74023.411 in August 2015. Sears had recently gone out of business here in Canada. This fridge had cost almost $3000.00 and was manufactured by LG. I had contacted LG who suggested a LG certified service person. Service person attended and I was told that the compressor was broken and that the cost to fix this fridge was $900.00. I had called LG several times and they keep telling me the same thing. We are not covering this part under warranty because this is the agreement we had with Sears. I had also tried escalating this within LG and each person I talk to theres no point of escalating it further because theyre going to tell you the same thing. I asked LG if its normal for a $3000 fridge to only last 2 1/2 years and they stated it must be defective. Yet LG manufactured this defective fridge and they keep using the demise of Sears as an excuse to not cover this. I feel that the customer service and policies at LG are pathetic. I have now been without a fridge for almost 6 weeks as I cannot afford to pay $900 to fix this, nor do I feel I should have to. LGs customer service is pathetic and their products are garbage. Stay clear of LG.

Woke Saturday morning to find water on floor (from ice melting in door dispenser), warm fridge and everything melted in freezer. Big mess! Called LG. After playing 20 questions with them, they determined the compressor was bad. Would send replacement parts directly to house in 2-3 days. But the earliest a tech could come out to make the replacement is 2 weeks! Who goes without a fridge for 2 weeks? Not only did we lose all our food, I lost $5000.00 in Humera injection pens that are supposed to be stored in fridge and kept cool. Sure LG will supply their faulty compressor with a new one, (dont know if I have to pay for labor yet) but who pays for all the lost food, loss of expensive medicine, all the mess and all the inconvenience and stress of not having a fridge for 2 weeks? How are not Attorneys General not following up on all these LG customer complaints about faulty compressors? It is NOT RIGHT! We paid a lot of money for this LG fridge. Our previous one, a KitchenAid, was working fine when we replaced it with this fancy new LG fridge. The KitchenAid is still working fine at my sons home in his kitchen. How can Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes still be selling these terrible products?

I bought an LG washer and dryer from Best Buy with extended warranties. The washing machine still works perfectly. The dryer however, is a piece of crap; after not even two years the steam function ceased to work. I contacted the extended warranty company which sent out an appliance repair service based locally in Avon Connecticut. Upon looking at the dryer the repairman told me it wouldnt be worth the money to fix it and just to use it without the steam function. It would be too costly to them to repair. I cant tell you how disappointed we are after having a whole household of LG products 10 in total cleaning the kitchen and laundry room. I dont blame any of this on Best Buy, however I do blame it on LG for not having a network to effectively repair what they sell. After repeated attempts to contact LG for almost 6 months we finally gave up. Do not recommend LG washer and dryer.

It is now on its 3rd complete compressor failure. When calling LG I keep getting told by their customer service that we are in the queue. Fridge has been broken for 7 day and we are still in the queue. The customer service person hopes we will be up in another 24-48 hours. I love my new refrigerator. I love how it has two doors for the refrigerator and it has a bottom drawer for the freezer with an extra drawer in the freezer. Plus I love the fact that it is stainless steel. The only thing I can think of changing would be for it to be a little taller but besides that its great. Plus it has an ice maker which I really love because I can do all kinds of stuff. After two years, our LG dishwasher stopped pumping out the water after washing. Upon calling LG customer service, after having to pre-pay an expensive repair bill, they sent a technician to our home to repair the machine. We are now on our fifth visit and the machine is still not repaired. The repair person just took the new parts, put them in the machine, slid the machine back into the cabinet and left, never to return to complete the job.The machines quality is poor, parts difficult to get, and service totally incompetent. Avoid this companys products at all costs. They are over priced, do not last, and are difficult to get repaired. We also own an LG refrigerator and after one year, the ice maker/water dispenser system totally failed. We are talking about a two thousand five hundred dollar refrigerator. Again, avoid LG appliances, they are junk! Their repair service is just as bad, if not worse.

We have a 5 year old LG oven that began experiencing issues with the cooktop 1-2 months ago. The burners will work, but only rarely. They will turn on and heat for maybe 5 seconds and then turn off. Sometimes they will work for a few minutes, and then turn off. Never on long enough to cook a meal, or if you are in the middle of cooking it will power down to barely on and you are stuck. The front larger burners work way less than the rear burners, and the left burners are way more problematic than the right. There is a heat vent to release excess heat from the oven and glass cooktop located under the control panel on the left hand side that is frying the computer components in the control panel causing malfunction. This is a known design and engineering issue.I have tried calling LG, and they tell me there is nothing they can do. I tried communicating with them on Facebook and they tell me there is nothing they can do. There are many people documenting the same issue on places like Youtube and even here. Everyone one of them, right around the five year mark this starts happening to them. There are many replies from people saying LG did the right thing and fixed this for them. New computers. New control panels. The entire back replaced. Nothing for me. Super disappointed that our $900+ oven only lasted 5 years before its going to need a repair call and expense for me.We replaced our entire kitchen with Consumer Reports top-rated LG appliances five years ago. The dishwasher is already gone; too expensive to repair that compared to the cost of a new model. Still have microwave, and refrigerator. Oven is failing as mentioned. We also have two 65 LG TVs and an LG washer in our house. Doesnt matter how long we have been a customer, LG is making this difficult.

In 2013 we purchased the set of LG washer/dryer from a well-known appliance outlet chain. Earlier this year (2015) we noticed the washing machine started leaking. In fact, water was leaking out from the bottom of the machine and collecting in the drain pan. We immediately contacted the store we purchased it from who informed us that our warranty had expired, and they would have to charge us x-amount of dollars to troubleshoot. Instead we did some extensive research on the LG machines, only to find tons of video complaints from other angry and frustrated consumers. The leakage seems to be consistent with many other complaints. The detergent dispenser tray slot has mildew build up behind the tray itself. The bleach dispenser tray is rusting... what the heck.We finally pulled the back of the cover off to notice the water was pouring out the back of the machine during the rinse cycle. Basically $700.00 put the window... and this is the top loader extra capacity washer without the middle agitation piece. Newsflash, another service tech shared that your clothes arent even getting as clean as they should without the agitator piece in the machine which helps move the clothes around. Technology... you have to wonder. LG knows these issues exist and still push out these poor performing products. Sad. I am definitely in on a class action suit... lets band together and get it started. Conyers, Ga angry and disappointed.

I purchased a LG refrigerator and wasn’t aware of the known defects that come with it. One day it just stopped working. Being a licensed Electrician I decided to check it out. I immediately saw that the compressor had power, but wasn’t working. I dug up my purchase order, called LG and the warranty company. I did purchase the extended warranty when I purchased it. Now I find myself having to wait up to 4 weeks to finally get this repaired. They say they are sorry, but make little effort to move things along. They have known that there compressors are bad but don’t offer a recall on it. Tonight I’m going to go buy a new refrigerator (not LG) while I wait for them to repair the garbage they sold me. They expect a family of 6 to wait. I’m hoping for a class action lawsuit to happen so I can get some satisfaction from this. Save yourself, don’t waste your money. We purchased a counter-depth LG refrigerator (Model LFX25991ST) 4 years ago. The ice dispenser switch went bad. Then in June, 2017, the compressor failed and had to be replaced. In August, 2017, the evaporator fan failed and had to be replaced. We have lost all confidence in the refrigerator. There are many one-stars ratings for a reason.LG Warranty: When I called LG (good luck getting someone let alone someone you can understand), the customer service representative told me that parts are generally covered for 10 years, but labor is not. An authorized LG repairman can inspect the unit (usually for a fee) and order the parts from LG for free, but you pay for their labor to install the parts. If you dont use an authorized LG repairman, you will need to pay for both the parts and labor (but their labor charges are often a lot less, so the total cost may well be similar).

LG LRE3023ST - At one year and 5 days the glass top broke, we did not drop anything on it and LG sent their service people to look at it. Their service people verified that it should not have broken, yet they refused to pay so we paid $500 for a new top. Today at 2 and a half years old, the stove is unrepairable. Service estimate was $800+ and its not worth fixing. My last stove lasted for 30 years! Absolute junk and LG will not do anything about it. In November 2011, we purchased an LG Microwave (Model LMV1813SB). It lost power a month later and had to be serviced by LG. It went out again a week later. An LG service person came out and worked on it again, but due to the LG policy, would not replace it until after four service calls. We had the issue again in March and April and finally they are replacing it. My complaint is the extremely poor policy and customer service that LG has. They would rather have the customer go through the time and effort of not having a microwave, making numerous phone calls to LG and scheduling time to have the microwave fixed. This is such horrible customer service. The time and effort we have had to go through to replace the microwave is more than what the microwave is worth. Here is the icing on the cake. LG has shipped our new microwave but told us that the one year warranty does not include removal and installation. I had to argue to get them to reimburse me for this. I will never buy another LG product based on this horrible customer service experience!

Keeps food fresh so that I always have something I can eat or fix for my family and if thirsty they can also find something to drink and it will taste good. But maybe keep my cat and or dog food to keep fresh also and keep things to drink and consume when it is wanted.

We purchased an LG over the range microwave a few weeks ago. From the first day, it has been extremely loud when running. It has become very irritating and embarrassing when others are in the kitchen. My husband called the 800 customer service line. The rep was allowed to hear it running over the phone, and just said that was normal. Thus no solution was offered. I dread having to endure the loud sound for the entire time we will have this microwave. But based on the negative reviews Im reading, this may not be for long. I have never before been moved to submit a review on a product until now. Please beware.

Called Lowes, New Castle, Pa where we purchased a defective LG washing machine. Rust spots all over our clothing. We were told it was a stainless steel tub and would not cause rust. They told us it was LGs problem. LG does not call you back when you leave messages. After 4 long months: They do not answer their phones. Customer service, you cannot understand them. Not sure what country you are being connected to. They are not taking responsibility for the defective washing machine and Lowes is not standing behind their customer. I will never purchase from Lowes or LG ever again. Horrible!!!

After 20 months my LG fridge with an inverter linear compressor failed. LG customer service is terrible, as I have to wait 7 days for a tech to look at the fridge to determine the failure.... it’s the compressor... No cooling in both freezer and fridge compartments, all fans are running. I’m one of many unsatisfied customers! Had I known the reliability of the inverter compressor was this low I would have purchased the fridge! I hope there are some lawyers out there with similar failure of their fridge and consider a class action law suit against LG Electronics. The inverter compress design is faulty and all customers should be given the choice of having it fixed (only to fail again in 18 months) or a total refund of our purchase. STAY AWAY FROM LG INVERTER COMPRESSORS OR LG!

We bought an LG refrigerator in October of 2015 when we moved into our house and had no issues with it for the first 4 years and now it has been nothing but problems! The refrigerator continues to go through periods of not keeping foods cold in the freezer. The issue has now moved into the refrigerator as we awoke this morning to our ice machine which had melted all over our hardwood floor. I have called technicians in the past and they have been unable to help and now when I call no one is willing to service the refrigerator as it is becoming a common occurrence and unable to fix! I would not recommend LG unless they find a way to fix this.

The entire time its baking its constantly popping. Its loud and annoying! I would think that with a price tag of $1700 it would be made better. Its hard to imagine Im going to have to deal with that loud popping noise for the next decade or 2.

This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a war
This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

WM2050 CW - After reading all the concerns and complaints from other customers, I must say that I have very similar problems with this machine. First, the smell of clothes and the permanent stench that this washer has is nauseating. Second, the machine started leaking from the bottom about a month ago. We thought it was the bottom filter that needed cleaning so my wife and I cleaned it periodically thereafter. That did not stop the leak. Today we pulled machine out of wash room to outside wood deck and propped it up on wood rafters so that I could get under it and examine origin of leak. It appears to be the door boot seal, which I intend to replace myself after I order it from Amazon ($70). I will update this review as I install and use machine with new part. Just like other reviewers, though, I would not buy another LG washer or dryer, not will I buy a front-loading machine.

Don’t buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska! No service company in Anchorage will do LG sealed system warranty work. When our 5.5 year old LG refrigerator (model LFX21976) stopped cooling and freezing, we called an Anchorage technician to come check it. He determined that it had a compressor failure which is a sealed system issue a warranty item. He called LG to establish a claim. The LG contact ran through a diagnostic and told our tech to first replace the inverter control (not a warranty item). Our tech refused, telling LG that he was not going to charge us for work that he knew was not the problem. He persuaded the LG contact to record our claim as a sealed system (compressor) issue. Our techs company refuses to do sealed system warranty work for LG.When we called LG to confirm the warranty repair and find out who would do LG warranty work, we were given 3 names. One was the company we originally contacted. The second advised that they too will not do LG sealed system warranty work. Only the third, located in Palmer, AK, would do the work. He charges a $35 travel fee for the hour drive to Anchorage. Having no choice, we made an appointment. He confirmed the sealed system compressor problem. Because we would be traveling, he took our refrigerator to his shop so he could work on it there when the part arrived. We expected the work to be completed when we returned. When he contacted LG to have the part shipped, he was told to replace the inverter board and main PCB not warranty items. He did this work without contacting us. He said he had to go with what LG said even though he and LG had both been told that the inverter board and main PCB were both functioning correctly. When we returned, the Palmer tech said, Good news. It wasn’t what he thought and it did not cost as much as the warranty work would have. It did cost $438.95. He brought our refrigerator back in a few days but advised not to plug it in until the next day so the fluids could settle. We plugged it in; it did not cool or freeze. The same problem we originally reported. When he came back several days later, he concluded that it really was a sealed system compressor problem. It then took more than two weeks to get the part. He did the repair. The refrigerator again works. But the warranty only covers the part, not the $450 labor. We were without use of our refrigerator for two months and paid for unnecessary work. A 5.5 year old refrigerator should not fail! Based on other reviews maybe we were lucky to have it work that long! But the lack of service companies willing to do LG warranty work is reason not to buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

Updated on 07/02/2021: This is review number 3. LG replaced parts twice then went off. Warranty says not their problem. Even told tech to glue part onto inside of washer. Extended warranty through Lowes. Says not their problem with either. Despite their warranty saying it will be restored to or a operating condition if it has failed due to defects in material. Gee thought I got paid $900 for a washing machine not a towel shredder. Could have done that on my own. Tech told me LG knows there is a problem but doesnt know how to fix it. My take is lg doesnt want to spend any money to redesign the piece so clothes are not getting caught in between the little plastic knob at the bottom of the tub. No need for LG to respond since they are not going to do anything about it anyways. Updated on 06/30/2021: Which consumer affairs would fix it so I can write a second note. So here goes. Its going to be a toss up somebody going to pay. Might I contemplate about taking all my towels that this washing machine tore up. And send part to or all to LG and drop part or all at Lowes. LG spent hours on phone with them after making an appointment and no ones showing up or calling. Called again more hours. Called Lowes. They scheduled an appointment. (With the same company that LG sent out the tech that I have been texting me tells me they are closed on that day the appointment.)Original Review: Complained to LG about washer tearing up to towels. Sent tech out who called company and explained problem. He was told put glue on the center piece. Two weeks later tech came out replaced center piece. Scared of covid I didnt call back for a while. The other piece messed up and continued to mess up and the tech put water proof tape inside. The piece continues to mess my towels up. No towels left. So upset about $1000 washer took for granted that the other problems have to wash some clothes twice. Only cycle to work is bedding cycle that will not tear towels up. It appears the turbo cycle throws the clothes against the middle. The plastic piece in the middle grabs a hold to towels and shreds them so the middle has had shredded threads wrapped around it. LG needs to stick to making phones. Was excited to hear about all the new fangle things the washer could do. Now just wish it would quit pretending to be a washer. Wish I had kept my old washer that was on its last legs. Now my worst fear is coming true. My dry is having to pick up all the hair and dirt the washer is getting.

I purchased a Brand New LG refrigerator in 2015. In June 2020 the refrigerator stopped cooling. My family was on vacation while this happened so we lost everything in the fridge and freezer. I called LG and they dispatched a technician to come out 5 days later. The technician came and verified that it was the compressor and it had to be order. Weeks later they came back with a compressor that didnt work after waiting 3 days for the refrigerator to cool. A few weeks later the technician came back out with another compressor. After 3 days of waiting, the refrigerator cooled down which was great BUT the ice maker did not make any ice. The ice maker worked perfectly before the original problem. So when I called the technician back, they came out weeks later and verified that it is the ice maker went bad and verified that the part that is needed is discontinued but they could use a used part to fix the problem for $450 including labor and no warranty. Why would I invest $450 additionally when I spent $2557.00 for a brand new refrigerator in 2015 that barely lasted 5 years and losing all my refrigerated and frozen food during a pandemic. Then I find out that the refrigerator was actually manufactured in 2010 and I over paid as this model was suppose to be discounted. At the end of the day, I was royally screwed and LG doesnt seem to care or attempt to own up to this. This whole process was a big inconvenience to my family as it wasted about 4-5 months and end up with my problem not being resolved.

$850 and started having issues within 1 week this front load dryer (LG DLGX4371W). It has an option for bulk and advertises all these bells and whistle options but my old Whirlpool 13 year old dryer worked better I must say. Keep in mind I had professional install for the unit and vent and the problem is the unit, well maybe only mine? The dryer accumulates lint at the bottom of the lint bay eventually not allowing it be caught on the screen it comes with. This lint clogging at the bottom is a hazard and can cause fire. Even though the machine has sensors which may stop the unit before a fire thank God, but its brand new...why should I be dealing with this as it seems to me to be a DEFECT. Now I have to check the bottom of the lint bay and use a special connection to my vacuum to ensure its not clogging up and shutting off during every dry cycle which costs me time and headaches as a father with a family. I purchased the new technology to try and get help and make my life easier but I ended up with a headache now. Wish I went with Electrolux as the reviews lead me to but the PC Richards man was so adamant and strong with opinion on LG being the best...this is not the case for me. We purchased an LG machine from Home Depot several months ago. It has broken 5 times. We have had it repaired via phone technicians at LG via wireless and we have had to have an LG technician to the house to fix it. It has just broken again with nice clothing in it soaking wet with soap in them. LG customer service has been horrible. They said they can come next week at the earliest. The representatives were not helpful. When I asked who they reported to in order to escalate the situation to fix the machine and save my clothes, they said Bon-Moo Koo, the CEO in Korea. That is not a helpful problem resolution path. I am very dissatisfied with their product and even more dissatisfied with their customer service team who were awful. I am now working with Home Depot who are being helpful to return the machine and get another one as I cannot use this one as it breaks all the time. I would seriously recommend against getting an LG machine. It has been a horrible experience and wasted hours of my time on the phone.

Bought this expensive $2500 LG fridge from Costco June 2018, we were remodeling our kitchen. After 6 months the ice maker defrosted and started leaking and unable to dispense ice. The repairman changed the ice dispenser motor and seemed to work ok. Then after another 3 months or so, the freezer and refrigerator stopped working, defrosting all of our food. We lived on ice coolers and no cooking. When the repairman came, he unplugged the ref, and it started working again. After another month, same thing happened, defrosted all of our food again, lived on ice coolers for 4 days till repairman came and says it might be the control board acting up? He will order the part but we have to wait another 3 days or so. We are waiting for the part he ordered Thursday and will come Wednesday, long wait for a very frustrating expensive ref? I recommend “Don’t buy this fridge!“ Not worth the headaches. I live in Vegas. Very hot here, no fridge life is not easy! Very frustrating, unhappy with poor customer service. LG does not even expedite repairs? Unacceptable... We bought a lemon? Hope this experience doesn’t happen to anyone...

A few days after microwave was installed, little dents started to appear on top panel. When I called customer service about this problem, they told me that it must be my fault that the dents are appearing--really??? The range knobs have melted and stripped, so now I have to use a pliers to turn the stove on or off. They did send replacement knobs the first time it happened. Now when I call again because of this defect, they tell I have to purchase them at the tune of several hundred dollars!! And by the way, the supervisor I spoke to was nasty!! The plastic drawers have cracked in the refrigerator and the sliders to slide drawers back and forth are breaking. My husband has duct-taped the inside where it is breaking. Our refrigerator (model LFXC24726S) was bought at Best Buy Pacific Sales in 2/15. First there was a recall issue in the flat drawer and it kept freezing. It was fixed at no charge. Two weeks ago I went to get ice and all I got was water. My entire freezer was defrosted and the fridge part was getting increasingly warm. After calling the Geek Squad for repair and finding out that my extended warranty was applied to a Samsung fridge I had returned (did not fit properly in my kitchen) and never credited or transferred to the LG. So no warranty, even though it was not our fault. Now nearly 2 weeks later, I find out that the problem is a Freon leak and they cannot fix it. When the Geek Squad came to see about the reason for the failure of this very expensive fridge, he stated that he had 3 LGs have the same thing in the last few weeks. He noted that all the fridges were ALL approximately the same age (3 years or less). After going to corporate since I had gotten nowhere with anyone else at Best Buy, they are finally replacing it. Im hoping this wont happen again in the near future. Fridges are supposed to last more than 3 years.

Over the years we have had a number of refrigerator brands and have never had any major problems. Our LG refrigerator has lasted less than 2 years and after 4 weeks of dealing with this company we are still without a refrigerator. The unit stopped cooling and we called customer service. Seeing that it was a refrigerator we thought a day or 2 and it would be repaired. It took a week for their service rep from A & E Appliance Repair to arrive. It looks like this company has some connection to Sears. Then another week went by before a part arrived. Looking at the control board that arrive it had broken clips and it didnt look new. A few days later a service rep arrived and installed this part, no change no cooling. He indicated he would have to order another board. At the time didnt think this might just be a scam of sending out a used board. After 2 more weeks they are saying it is on back order and dont know when it will be available. The conversation is turning to buying a service contract. I have now spoke with 10-15 reps in LG customer service and a number have indicated they will expedite the process and get back to us. Never happens. You can never get back to the last person you talked to. I have seen some references to a class action law suit. I bought an LG washer/Dryer July this year (2015). The water pump sprang a leak. Went online and submitted for repair. Got a local appliance place to fix it. Talked to rep from local shop, said they couldnt get LG parts to answer or return call for 2 days. At this point I havent had a washing machine for 6 days. I called LG rep to contact local rep and get this taken care of. If LG does get it shipped by tomorrow, Friday fall on a holiday. Local dealer wont get the part until next Monday the 4th of Jan. 2016. This will be going on 2 weeks without a washer. This is unreasonable to me. I went with an LG product because of the Quality and support that I havent received as of yet. I would hope that a senior representative would read this. Unsatisfied Customer!

I purchased a new LG French door refrigerator with two bottom drawers as the freezer 2 years ago 1/6/2019 brand new. Prior to Christmas 2020, the unit quit cooling completely with a dh-f code. All the food had to be thrown out. I have contacted LG 6 times, the best they can do is late Feb to repair the unit. That is unacceptable and I will not recommend LG, they have a known track record of refrigerator problems based on my search of reviews. I have never owned a refrigerator that didn’t last at least 10 years. Shame on LG for poor products and poor customer service.

Purchased four door refrigerator in July of 2015. For the past few days it would not go below 50 degrees in the main compartment. Freezer only 25 degrees. As I am writing this the repairman is behind my fridge replacing the compressor. I had called the LG customer service and was on hold. Was hoping to use the “Smart Diagnosis” through the fancy transmitter on the fridge, but then received an instructional text. That did not help. Online search through LG repair site recommended a shop (Tip Top Repair, San Diego County) that supposedly would take care if it but they would not come out. I am now looking at a $1295 repair through ARC, repair being done as we speak.

We purchased the LG washer / dryer set on 1-11-20 from Warner Stallion. Right from the start the dryer makes a constant banging noise like there’s a pair of tennis shoes drying. I called the appliance store that we purchased from and after waiting 4 days for a call back they finally scheduled a service tech to come out, he told me that unfortunately all LG dryers sound like, there is no fix so I just have to put up with it. I called the salesperson we had and explained to her, she said she never heard of this problem.... I didn’t hear from her again. Today I was using the LG wash machine for bedding, when I opened the door, I noticed my sheets were ripped into pieces. Think twice before purchasing a LG appliance.

This is strictly a review. I purchased this washer (LG Washer WT110CW) as to the high standard that Consumer Reports gave it. I hate it. Your standard wash cycle is 57 minutes. There is a load for bulky, whites, etc. but some have a cycle up to 113 minutes. They do have a quick load of 35 minutes, but thats the least. Then it spins to the point of almost drying and your clothes by then are so wrinkled, that the dryer will not take them out and now I have to iron these items. It was over $600 with tax, so I just cant go buy another one. Way too much computerized options that take forever. I want my Kenmore back that gave me very little problems and a load was done in 30 minutes (no matter what it was).

I like how advance it is, its an amazing fridge and fits all my needs with a cooler, water dispenser etc. Its also pretty amazing that it comes with advanced features that many other fridges dont come with, so I would easily pick this company again. Its super easy to use, and get be done easily. I love it and wouldnt pick any other company, I do like the water dispensers, and stuff like that, they tend to come in handy. Its advanced and fits todays era of how things work and run, since now everythings technology based, and everyone is switching to more technical things. LG fridge a will make things feel more futuristic and add a beautiful futuristic vibe in the house or apartment.

LG Counter Microwave 1260SW/1260SB - After three years of use, not daily, there was burning smell coming out of the side vent and a grinding sound inside. I contacted LG and they said it sounded like the magnetron. LG said it sounded like the magnetron, which was covered under a 10-year warranty and then referred a local repair shop. We took it in. They charged us $50 for a diagnostic test and $46.02 for labor for the magnetron. Two days later, we brought it home and the situation was worse than when we took it in. Back to the repair shop we went and the shop called saying it was the fan motor. Well, they wanted another $50 for labor and parts. After refusing to pay any more labor costs, they fixed it. The only parts were for a stirrer motor and stirrer support and another $26. We got it home, plugged it in, and turned it on. Inside lit up like a neon light and it started sparking. Light was so bright and sparks so bad, my husband and I thought it was going to blow up. Back to the shop it went. They put a container of water inside, no sparks or excessive lighting happened, so they deemed it fixed. I refuse to use it. We paid almost as much in repair bills as we did in purchasing it. As much as I loved the horseshoe design inside the microwave, this was just too much hassle, expensive and time consuming to repair. I had also contacted two other small appliance places to see if we were being ripped off. Both told me they refuse to work on LG small appliances. They either couldnt get the parts or it took a week or more to get them in, inconveniencing their customers. No more LG appliances for us.

I purchased a LG French Door refrigerator in November 2015. It is approximately 17 months old. I was told I needed to purchase a service contract for > $400 in order to get service. I waited all day this past Friday for service and no one showed up. I waited on the phone in excess of 1.75 hours! The call was abruptly ended with You have called after service hours. I called back and was told to call again on Saturday regarding my repair. WOW the service department was closed on Saturday. Monday arrives and a repairmen appears on Tuesday after Mondays call... HOWEVER the repairman only repeated what I was told last week... You need a compressor .. and I dont have one. You will need to wait 8-10 days for the parts. LG IS NOT WORTH the time nor money invested! I want my SAMSUNG back.Updated on 05/02/2017: As I have explained previously, my LG French Door refrig remains on the blink. When I first reported the issues to LG, I was advised to purchase their extended warranty. WHAT they did not tell me is that the sealed unit that was at fault remained covered under their already in place 7-year warranty. Now for the update... The refrig remains on the blink and after a technician has been to my residence x3 and he as engaged in a conversation with the main guy (Ruben), LG refuses to replace the unit as they remain unable to fix the unit. Sadly, they refuse to honor either the standard warranty and the extended warranty that specifies if unable to repair they will replace. And by the way, this was after being placed on hold for more than 3 hours and then having a disconnection message stating that they were NOW closed for the day and call back tomorrow!

On a 7 month old side by side LG refrigerator I have had 5 service calls in the last month and am again waiting for a service call. The first problem was the unit would no defrost properly so they put in a new computer board and then ask ME to take a hair dryer and defrost the unit (Only took 5 hours), then the next 4 calls concern the ice maker,,, I have had two new ice makers installed and neither work. When I finally got to talk to Theresa (a corporate supervisor) at 10AM I was told that I do not qualify for a new refrigerator and that I needed to call back tomorrow to schedule an appointment for repairs. (REALLY) I need to call back. I could not believe her. I have no had ice for three weeks and have now turned it over to Home Depot to resolve. Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago.
Bought French Door fridge with ice and water dispenser about 18 months ago. Had minor problems, but were able to solve them. Today, at 5pm when my service provider is gone until Monday morning, the refrigerator started to emit a burning rubber/Teflon-like smell along with a chemical smell that is sort of sweet. Hard to describe, but it has given me a headache. We pulled the fridge out from its niche and dusted the vents, which we do every couple of months anyway. The smell is still there but it seems to have abated because we opened the windows (its 20 degrees outside so now I have a headache AND I am freezing). According to the door panel, the temperature in both freezer and fridge is constant and not dropping or rising, so that is good.Does anyone have similar experiences and do you know what it might be? I was able to get hold of someone from the company I bought it from - I bought an extended warranty from them - and he said he had no idea what it could be and hes never heard of anything like that on an LG. Said that it might be dust or dog hair - NOPE. I am afraid to leave it plugged in when we go to bed. Anyone have any suggestions?

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. For as much money as you spend, you can get something more worthwhile in a Whirlpool, GE, or KitchenAid.

Contacted LG service, tech came out found nothing. Took pictures of the finished wash with soap stains sent them to LG, another tech arrived and tried to solve the problem. No luck. Called again. Still no satisfaction. Finally after fourth tech I had a tech make a suggestion that seems to work. LG engineers in their infinite wisdom of trying to make a washing machine that is water efficient failed. The machine senses how much water based upon the weight of the items in the tub which basically doesnt wash squat. So by having the machine first wet the clothes and restarting the cycle the load is now heavier and the machine increases the amount of water in the tub to accommodate the heavier load. Now you have enough water to actually wash clothes! Seems a stupid way to get a machine to work, but it appears to solve the problem. Basically LG engineers need to learn how to actually test their product before sucking the consumer into buying junk!

Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues
Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues and I am really patient with giving multiple chances to do so! After four years of horrible service and a machine which is unusable with heavy laundry I finally had it, I feel everybody should know! This washer is unable to spin heavy loads! Washing half a load is impossible, it cannot balance a half load! If you fill the washer up with towels and bed linens it sometimes spins, but often it does not!! It will display in the screen that the load is unbalanced. THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS TAKING THE TOTALLY WET LOAD OUT OF THE MACHINE, PUT A PART OF THE LOAD BACK IN THE MACHINE AND THEN IT CAN SPIN TWO OR THREE SMALL LOADS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!The problem exists already from the beginning, its stupid from me that I have dealt with it for so long. I am just too busy! I started to take action after the warranty was expired. So LG was nice and extended the warranty. But before someone came to our house I had to listen to their UNBELIEVABLE ADVICE: I was only supposed to put 4 towels in the washer, I was supposed to put jeans on one side and t-shirts on the other in the same load??? And then a tech told me this machine was not made for heavy loads! On top of that I was told that I should only use the towel program for towels and other programs were not made for it! But I wanted to use the hygiene program that gives hot steam as well! Later I was told that this was all not true and that the machine should be able to do it all! They eventually decided that the drum was warped and that it needed to be replaced. So a tech came, but the poor man barely could do the work. He was sweating profusely had trouble to sit on his knees and it took him many hours. Then he noticed a screw was not working well from the new outer drum so he decided to put the new inner drum inside of the old outer drum. He convinced me the problem was solved, BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE!!!!Now THE PROBLEM WAS EVEN WORSE, after the repair THE MACHINE DID NOT SPIN AND DID NOT DRAIN ANYMORE!! I was beyond myself! It took forever before the next tech came, a very nice man, but he said he had no time to fix it and that another tech would come instead. Weeks went by and a totally arrogant man showed up on the wrong day, when only my husband was home. He said he was going to fix it his way and it was up to him to decide what he was going to do. The fact that a manager of LG had decided to replace the full drum this time, he totally ignored!! He repaired a few things and decided it was now really fixed.Lots of email correspondence later with a manager from LG, to my utmost frustration the problem is still there!! Appointments were cancelled due to weather and scheduling problems and one tech just did not show up! I can hardly believe it but THE WASHER IS STILL NOT SPINNING WITH HEAVY LOADS AND EVEN WITH SMALLER LOADS IT BANGS AND IT MADE EVEN MY KIDS WONDER WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM!! I am so frustrated and dont know what to do!! I approached another department to seek for real help but they came back to me with a few ridiculous statements, like changing my laundry detergent to he what I always have done even with the much better washer I had before from kitchenaid.I AM SEEKING FOR HELP, THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE WASHER $1199!! I have saved every e-mail correspondence I had with them. So I have proof that my story is true! I am so done with this machine and want to make sure that other people never have to go through the same issues I have! THEREFORE THIS WARNING: NEVER EVER BUY AN LG!!

We bought our French door refrigerator around December of 2018 when we purchased our new house. We have loved our unit until one day both of the coils for the fridge and freezer part went out. I placed a repair order in August of 2020. LG outsourced the repair work to a local repair shop which was fine. Here it is 10/25/2020 and we are still without a refrigerator. I have contacted LG and the repair company numerous times and nothing is being done about it. LG has basically washed their hands of the whole situation and put it on the backs of the repair company. I got tired of waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired because we have a large family (family of 8); I called LG back once more and requested LG to replace or refund the money from the initial purchase. Since then we are going on 2 weeks and I have still yet to hear from LG as to what the decision is on replacing it or refunding the money. We was happy with the unit while it was working but since then it has been a complete nightmare and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE because of this incident. I hope my review helps clear the air up for anyone thinking about making a purchase of a LG product.

I bought an LG french door fridge with bottom freezer. After just under a year, the ice machine went and I had to have it replaced. This was covered under warranty. However, my fridge is not quite 3 years old yet and the Linear Compressor went. LG told me the part is under warranty, but labor is not. So, I waited a week for the technician to come out and have a look at the fridge. He told me that the part is only about $150 (but covered under warranty), but the labor would cost me about $900 plus to fix and he couldnt even guarantee that it would work after. Unless you are doing a small load with exactly the same type of clothing in it expect your machine to go out of balance and either take forever to balance or stop and wait for you to balance it manually. I will NEVER buy from LG again. They have done nothing to correct the problem but come in and replace the motherboard which does nothing. The problem is in the concept - direct drive/self-balancing doesnt work. I have actually stood and watched as the wash went from almost done (3 minute mark) to starting another rinse/spin cycle. When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. After just having bought my first home, I really wanted to splurge and buy
After just having bought my first home, I really wanted to splurge and buy a nice big beautiful $3,400 stainless steel refrigerator as a center piece. But buying this expensive LG LMXS30776S was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. At just 2 years the thing is broken and will no longer cool. I came home one night to find that all of the ice in the ice maker had melted and puddled onto my hardwood flooring and all of my food was spoiled. Completely dismayed that my refrigerator is now cooling at 60F I called LG. They sent a tech out and he diagnosed a failed sealed system. To have a failed sealed system in 2 years is truly, truly remarkable. But you then think to yourself, Well thats ok though, sealed system is under warranty right? NOPE! The parts might be covered by warranty, but the LABOR is not. And apparently sealed system is a specialty repair service and I was quoted at $850-$1100 on the low end JUST OF LABOR.And then you think to yourself, Well Jesus, thats unbelievably expensive, so you call LG and ask them why they are selling $3400 refrigerators that dont even last 2 years? What kind of product quality are they really putting out? And they dont back up their own products? We work hard for that kind of money and consumers deserve quality assurance for their purchase. Agent very reluctantly escalated my case and I was eventually granted an exception to cover labor under warranty as well, but now heres the most interesting part. I called their authorized service provider to come back out and fix it, now with a warranty exception code but they flat out REFUSED to come back to work on the thing because apparently LG has stiffed them multiple times on warranty repairs. So LG is not only stiffing their customers with cheap and faulty appliances but they are also stiffing their own authorized service providers on warranty reimbursement to repair their cheap and faulty appliances. But you could figure that would happen if so many of them break right? Its not good business for LG to repair everything they build. So at this point, it has been 1 month since Ive had a working refrigerator. There are literally only two service providers in my area that can fix sealed systems and are authorized to work on LG (a huge amount of service providers dont even want to work on LG, so let that be the giant red flag for you.) But of these two service providers, both of them refuse to do any warranty work for LG whatsoever. I guess I wouldnt want to either, if I wasnt getting paid for my work. I have been in contact with LG daily about this, asking to give me a real solution, but they just keep giving me lip service and lists of more and more service providers, all of which are completely out of the state and cant even come here because they are not licensed outside of their own state. Ive gone through 20+ service providers that LG has given me and its the same story over and over. We dont service your area, we arent licensed in your state etc etc.I tried explaining this to LG repeatedly but they either dont listen or dont care. Or perhaps they already know, but they just give you an endless run around with no real solution. The last agent I talked to just bluntly told me Im SOL. So ask yourself this, what good is a warranty if their own company wont back it up? What good is a warranty if no service provider will accept it because LG is scheming them out of their money too? At this point I can either pay $1200+ for parts and labor out of my own pocket and reinvest back into this terrible piece of garbage that I am confident will just fail again in the near future or I can just take this thing out to the backyard and blow it up and buy a different brand. And really, in full and total honesty, Im much more inclined to do the latter. Because I will never trust my food in this thing ever again, even if it gets fixed.I will never trust LG again. Im now just far too ashamed to even have the LG symbol in my household now that I know the truth of this company. Yeah, youre sitting there reading all these reviews because this is a big purchase for you, just like it was for me. And youre thinking to yourself, This poor guy, he just got unlucky that his broke so early, but mine wont be like that and even if mine does have a problem, I have this great LG warranty right? You dont. LG is proven to have cheap and faulty products and they have proven that their warranty is completely meaningless because THEY HAVE NO INFRASTRUCTURE TO REPAIR IT ANYWAY. Youre better off buying 30 mini refrigerators for the same price and then just replacing them as they break throughout the years... But the truly sad part is... You wont need that many because one cheap $100 mini fridge will still last significantly longer than any giant shiny piece of junk you buy from LG.

LG Tromm Washing Machine (Model WM2455H) - I constantly get some sort of sludge from this machine on my clothes even though I regularly clean the filter out at the bottom of the machine. The machine always smells like sewer water and/ or moldy. It has been this way for the entire 6 years I have owned the machine. I have never experienced this with any other machine. I hate it!

Updated on 6/4/2020: They keep posting that they are here to help and I provided my number three times and no one calls!!!! I’ll be fair and retract post but so far I’ve received no call after a message to private message them. I was also supposed to get a call a week ago for food spoilage and nothing!!!!Original review: I am on my third LG counter depth fridge and the compressor went on all of them. 3 fridges in 6 months. Home Depot was willing to change our fridge and refund my money and that’s what I am doing. Do Not buy an LG fridge. Don’t. Just don’t...Oh and my 1000 dollar dishwasher needed a new control panel in a week. Sealed it out. Lg reviews that are good are usually people for most part that had their fridge for a couple months. Then if you need repair good luck trying to speak with someone that doesn’t sound like a robot and they don’t speak English. Just don’t do it!!!!

I spent over $11,000 on my kitchen and laundry product from LG. Overpriced and not worth the money. The customer service is just as bad as their products. Ive had to call numerous times for the dryer and refrigerator. The dryer does not completely dry your clothes because the sensor thinks the clothes are dry and shuts off the dryer and the timer hasnt worked for months. My refrigerator does not stay cold the temperature is currently 76° in my refrigerator. Ive had my products for 3 years and its been a nightmare. To get a service repairman to come out is literally impossible. Please take my advice and do not purchase LG products.

Anything but LG! Had trouble right off the start with LG. Started getting error codes on the front panel within a year of owning. Tech said motherboard needed to be replaced. Then within a couple of months noticed water collecting inside the fridge. Cold air ducts became blocked because moisture got into them and froze. This duct supplies cold air to the ice maker. Cubes melted sending water all over floor. Tech removed all internal components from freezer, cleared duct and adjusted/moved the thermostat.Last week while on vacation got a call from my son saying fridge quit working sending water all over floor again! Tech came out said compressor is not working and stated it would be less expensive to buy new than replacing the compressor. This is just over 5 years old! We will place a call to LG and see if they want to stand behind their product!

I chose LG for the brand name, style and price. I love the LG brand. Its always a really good fit for me. Ive never had problems or needed repairs and I havent had to buy any new ones. I like the ice maker and water dispenser and the way the shelves were positioned. It was overall a really nice refrigerator. I love it. I love it. I love it. I wouldnt trade it for nothing in this world. But the drawer could have been easier to maneuver. It sticks sometimes and leaks and is pretty difficult to manage but otherwise its an awesome brand and they should definitely try to work it out.

My 3 year old LG side by side refrigerator went out on the eve of Thanksgiving (11-27-19). We promptly called LG customer service and was told to wait 4-6 hours for the freezer to freeze again and was told to call back in the am to run the smart IQ diagnostics. Freezer and fridge both out. Most likely the compressor like everyone else. Called 11-29-19 and was given a service repair date of 12-5-2019. I thought that seemed a long time to wait but figured I’d survive. Mind you, we have a household of 9 (7 kids). The day of the 5th I started getting text from repair company saying I was changed to the 13th. Called LG for an earlier appointment and the long run around saga began with countless calls and continues with the same song and dance as everyone else on here. Two weeks without a working fridge and counting....

We purchased a LG dishwasher from hhgregg Feb 2014. May 2015, the dishwasher gave out. We thought LG products were good. We paid over $800 for the LG dishwasher. The technician who came to assessed the LG dishwasher was improperly installed. In reading the reviews 279 owners of LG dishwashers felt the LG dishwasher was a joke, poorly designed. We replaced a Magic Chef dishwasher, that was over 27 years old, and still was in working order. The stainless LG dishwasher looks smart, but in reality the dishwasher is crap. LG corporate office said they will not repair the 14 months old LG dishwasher and if we were not satisfied sue them in court. I will.

I bought my LG washer, model #WM2016CW, on 5/17/2008. I have noticed all along that the clothes have this odor to them and then it transfers to the dryer but I kept doing the cleaning cycle and it worked for about a week then back to that smell. I tried every HE detergent I could find but the same results. But today was a whole new problem. I put the laundry in and went about doing my cleaning. I went down to the laundry room to change the clothes into the dryer and there was a mess on the floor; it was glass. I thought maybe a light broke but this was thick clear glass. I could not believe what I saw. The glass front of the washer burst into pieces and I had chunks of glass everywhere. The strange thing is that the washer had finished its cycle and the clothes were all done so this must have happened after the clothes finished. There was not a drop of water anywhere. I am still in shock that this happened but with LG anything can happen. I am told I will have to pay for a service man plus parts and LG will not give me any answers. They told me to call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and go through them. Sears gave me the runaround also. They told me that I would have to pay $75 just for a person to come out to look at it and then it could cost up to $350 depending on the cause. The whole door may have to be replaced and they have to try to find the cause which it sounds like they dont have a clue. So the washer is sitting in the laundry room and I am out looking for a new washer. I do not trust this washer at all after the explosion. I am writing my Attorney General and letting him know about this and many other things about LG products. I also own an LG gas stove. It is almost two years old and I have had LG people replacing the glass window. This has been ongoing since I bought the stove. There is a leak in the glass oven door and it just keeps fogging up and food particles get in between the glass door and oven door. What a piece of junk that cost me $1100. LG refuses to do anything about it so my husband and I keep taking the glass off and cleaning it and it is not an easy thing to do. I will never buy another LG product and I will tell everyone I know not to buy LG. They sent one guy over and he put the glass back wrong. All I can say is that LG is getting a bad reputation and if they dont get it right, then they will soon be out of business. I just finished reading 800 reviews of LG ovens and they were not good at all; most of them real bad. What is wrong with the LG company? Are they that stupid not to see what people are saying about their product? I will try to find a new washer made in the good old USA.

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

My refrigerator is less than 4 year old and has stopped cooling. It is either a loss of coolant or a failed compressor, both of which are still in warranty. They scheduled a tech to investigate the problem the following day. This appointment was canceled by LGs automated system after the scheduled time for the visit with a statement that they would schedule something within 3 to 5 business days. I called LG to express my pleasure at the level of their customer service and was told that the repair will probably take somewhere between 5 and 7 days IF the parts are available. In the meantime, I am without a refrigerator.

We bought the LG refrigerator model LMXS27626S/00 in June 2015. We have had nothing but issues since then. The compressor has been replaced twice, lost hundreds of dollars on food we have to keep a small fridge for backup because we can trust this dollar water. And now again its not cooling. Waiting for repair man now.
