The LG refrigerator is the one that we had chosen, mainly because the store clerk recommended it over the other ones. Also it has not only met my expectations but it has exceeded them by far. My favorite feature is the shelving that is available. I have enough room for all of my groceries right after a big shopping trip for the week. It is very convenient. Also it is very easy to clean so it stays looking brand new at all times. But I think that the refrigerator could improve by having a bit more space between the shelves so that taller items might fit inside it a little bit better. I also think it would be nice for the freezer to be on the bottoms rather than it be side by side.

I had a an old Kenmore dishwasher that lasted some 20+ years. It worked great but after so much use (twice a day!), I had to replace this n that on it but overall it was awesome! The end came when we were no longer able to buy the electronic board to operate (most of the repairs/replacement we did on our own, following the schematics and watching Youtube video instructions). Alas, finally, it died and the search was on for a new dishwasher. I read many reviews and settled on the LG. That was my first mistake. The LG was installed 6.18.18 (model #LDT7808ST). I was very excited to have a new, modern dishwasher after all these years! It was sadly short lived. Just a few short months later, I was sick of hearing the bing bing bing that goes off to alert the user of escaping steam. Except there wasnt any escaping steam. When the repairman came out ($150), he told me it was a problem with this model in that the steam created was leeching into the electronics and causing the board to short out, thus the bing bing bing noises. He replaced the board with a newly designed board to alleviate this issue that LG knew about. Finally the sound stopped and all was well. Except a few months later the binging began again. During the interim, I found on two different occasions, small chunks of black rubber. Now what?? I searched inside the dishwasher but couldnt find anything...until yesterday. Now I realize its part of the cowling that feeds water inside the tub. Unfortunately in order to see exactly whats going on with it, I have to figure out how to remove the lower water arm. And because this cowling has become unstable, its blocking the arm from turning freely. So now I have a lower armature that is half-way turning and binging and bonging and dishes that are being poorly washed. COLOR ME DONE! DO NO BUY THIS BRAND DISHWASHER!! I paid over $1,000 and its falling apart after a year and a half. LG brags that the motor has a ten year warranty. That is little value when the rest of the machine is falling apart before a year is even over!

We had an LG refrigerator and over-stove microwave. Little things broke, bits of plastic, brackets etc., large annoyance factor. Also freezer at highest setting but does not get lower than 20 degrees (should be zero). Panel above door of microwave broke loose, could not be reset, had to hold it in place with tape. The brackets that hold up drawers for fruit & vegetables broke, we got a replacement, it broke again. This was all in the first year. The things just feel cheap and unreliable. We junked the microwave a year ago. Today, last straw for the fridge. The auto ice maker, over several weeks, was working, then stopped, then started again, then stopped, then started once more -- then went crazy! It would not stop pouring water into the ice tray. Had to cut off water supply. If we hadnt been home at the time and noticed, it would have flooded our kitchen. I have had it. Good Riddance LG!

Not really happy with the machine nor LG customer service. My fiancé got a really good deal on the washer but a year later, we found out why the machine was discontinued. We could not take the machine back nor get our money back. We had the update and now I regret purchasing this machine. Some days I feel like the machine will still blow. I dont like how it bangs against the sides. It tends to keep running. What was a water saver is not a water saver no more. LG has really bad customer service and I think they should be giving refunds out. I cannot afford to buy a New machine and cannot sell this machine because I will never get my money back for the machine. For something that LG might have known about before they recalled the machine.

We purchased a French door ice maker fridge in 2011. LG GCP197DPSL- 560 L - $1600 (Lemon). One year later the ice maker kept jamming up and would not dispense ice. This then made ice crystals form that covered the inside of the freezer door causing ice crystals to fall all over the floor when the door was opened. 5 years, two replacement doors. 1 ice maker bin, dozens of calls to LG and numerous service calls at $75 each time and we still do not have a fridge/freezer that will make ice or not frost over inside. LG say they will not offer any more assistance or support or any kind of refund or compensation to us... LG fridges are the worst. Do not buy one. LG customer service (3rd world call centre) is an insulting joke of stalling and non commitment to help their customers in any way... Joke.

The knobs were cracked and broken and we were unable to turn the gas all the way off. The repairman said he smelled gas when he entered my house. He ordered three new knobs. I then called LG at 800-243-0000 and told them that I had just read all the complaints about the range knobs, and how upset I am to learn that LG was doing nothing about the problem. I was then told that LG has a new replacement knob that they will send me free of charge. Five new knobs. No charge. I then asked why they were not notifying their consumers. No answer. I hope this will help someone else.

My LG refrigerator has shown weird behaviors and lately ER CO on display and shortly stopped making ice. The biggest problem is that the LG service team have no idea of how to fix it and now after 6.5 months of 5 visits and over 12 hrs of phone calls, they have GIVEN UP asking me to buy another fridge. Here are the clear problems with LG tech - a) Tech is under skilled - Over the 5 visits, the technicians came up with different diagnosis. b) No follow ups - There were no follow-ups (I repeat no follow-up) from LG on the next steps after the tech shared the diagnosis info. c) No handover within their teams - Every time when I called their customer care, I spoke to a new person and I had to repeat the whole story again and was provided with new (and may times repeated) steps to follow. d) Tier 2 drops the ball - Very good on the phone, but once off the phone, no easy way to catch. e) Only escalations work - I took to the social media, only when I got their attention and someone senior started looking into the problem and whole history of correspondence.f) No outcome - But in spite of engagement from seniors, the problem remained unresolved and finally they gave up asking me to buy a new fridge.I lost 3 working days to attend the technician visit and over 12 hrs of office time on phone. Total $ equivalent of this time loss is over $5000. Highly recommend avoiding LG appliances.

We bought the LG LFX25978ST French door refrigerator on 5-1-2013 from HH Gregg. Was working okay until Oct 5, 2013 (5 months) when it suddenly stopped making ice & freezer contents were mushy, soft. Called LG. They told me to reset the ice maker & it should be fine. Reset twice, still no ice. Called LG on Oct 6th again. They told me to get a new filter or bypass plug (which should have been left with me when they delivered) which I did on Oct 7th. Put the bypass plug in... still no ice & freezer not freezing. Called LG back. They said they would schedule a service tech to repair. After several calls from the repair people about the date of purchase, serial #, model # finally they said they would have to order a new ice maker & when the parts came in they would schedule the repair. Finally came out on Oct 17th!! 12 days with no ice & very little freezer. Had to buy ice & use ice trays in my garage freezer. When the repairman came out on Oct 17th, he had a new motherboard & a new ice maker.... Took him 2 hours to replace the ice maker in the door... Had to take it back out several times because the ice container was too tight. He said it would take 8 hours to make ice, to call him in the morning if it did not. Well... still no ice & worst now... no freezer. Lost about $80.00 of food... ice cream melted completely & all over the bottom. Called the repair service next day Oct 18th, told them no freezer, no ice. They told me they would send the tech out again but could not until Oct 21st. Also called LG about my defective refrigerator. They said it wasnt defective & they would not replace it until it was deemed unrepairable. Very unsympathetic & rude! They told me I must allow them to repair. Repairman came back out Oct 21st & was on the phone to LG Tech. Put thermometers in freezer & refrigerator was finally diagnosed as a bad compressor!! This refrigerator is only 5 months old!!! I had a Frigidaire before that was 16 yrs old & I never had a bad compressor. Called LG again & asked what they were going to do about my refrigerator. They told me that it was not unrepairable. That I had to allow them to replace the compressor or they would do nothing!!!! So after talking to HH Gregg a couple of times, with no help from them either, HH Gregg said I would have to allow them to do the repairs. You would think that HH Gregg would stand behind their products also. I had bought all 4 new appliances from HH Gregg but only the refrigerator was an LG. So as it stands now, I have a different service provider that LG sent an email to, not listing the replacements parts (I had to give them that info so they could order the compressor). They are scheduled to come out Nov 6th with the new compressor. But Saturday Nov 2nd, my refrigerator is not cooling!!! I bought a ref thermometer & the temp in the refrigerator is 55 degrees!!! I have no other refrigerator!!!I paid $2300 for this LG refrigerator on 5-1-2013. I have no refrigerator, no freezer & no ice. LG does not care!!! I am still trying to get either LG or HH Gregg to replace this defective refrigerator & I guarantee I will never purchase another LG product. You would think that there should be some help when a product you purchase does not meet even minimal standards.

I almost bought an LG refrigerator a week ago UNTIL I read the reviews. I had the same poor experience with the LG washer and dryer. Problems within a month, customer service is poor and whatever the problem they say it must be the leveling and nothing is really covered under warranty that may be needed. Then they have the nerve to try to sell an extended warranty combined at over $400; after paying $2600 for a washer and dryer I shouldnt need an extended warranty for the first 3 years of ownership. The products dont compare to Kenmore Elite or Whirlpool and the customer service is AWFUL. In this case, you dont get what you pay for.

I like how its a touch screen. You just drag the bar with your finger. Its more effective than punching numbers. But, the microwave doesnt have a 5 seconds option so its hard to cook your food at your desired temperature. Also, its hard to keep it clean since so many girls uses it each day. I wish it was bigger so that more than one thing can be reheated since we eat a lot of leftovers or frozen meals.

The ABSOLUTE WORST company and customer service!! I purchased a French door refrigerator in May through JCPenney. I also purchased the extended warranty. Five months later the refrigerator showed an error code - dhF. I called LG and they sent a serviceman who walked in the house, looked at the code and said he did not have the parts needed to fix it. I asked him how he knew what he needed without opening the refrigerator and he stated that it is a problem that LG knows about but continues to sell defective equipment anyway, they just sent someone out to replace parts. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called JCPenney who pushed me off to LG and have spoken with a total of 11 different people, all who have done nothing to help me. I want the refrigerator replaced. Thanksgiving Day, it stopped working altogether and we had to scramble to get coolers and buy a small refrigerator to place some food in. Today, the day after Thanksgiving, all of LG supervisors are on extended break because of the holiday. DO NOT EVER purchase anything from this company. It is criminal that they sell defective appliances and know about it. All they care about is the bottom line. If there was a choice for 0 stars, that is what they would be rated.

We bought the LFX31925ST 3 years ago, meaning its out of warranty. Last week, error dH showed up. We did research, learned that it means the defrost heater is not working well and had the unit reset by unplugging for a few minutes. It worked for 2 days. This morning, the freezer at the bottom is totally watery. The freezer has gone out!!! The thought of having to call for service on top of our daily responsibilities, not to mention the cost to fix, just bothers us. We had been Whirlpool fans for over 30 years, never any problems with fridge nor washing/drying machines. They worked until we want a new look for our house. We changed to this LG fridge for their large capacity of 31 cubic feet, but...lesson learned...we will never buy LG again. We will also make sure our friends and families learn from our experience with the low quality of this LG brand. We were a lot smarter when we continued to buy Sony TV brand over Samsung. Our brother is having big problem with his Samsung TV!!! Household appliances should bring comfort, not trouble like this. I realize now that there are others who have similar with LG brand products. LG needs to improve the quality of their product or at least, go out of their way to offer service for their fast-failing products, or they will go out of business soon, which we wont be surprised! Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony, and other long time name brands are the way to go. I hope this wont happen to anyone else.

I purchased an LG Inverter because I had purchased an LG washer and dryer set and I was happy with them. The dishwasher in the beginning worked okay. Now the dishwasher stinks and my dishes are not clean after a 2-hour wash. They come out filmy and dirty. I wash the dishes before they go into the washer and it still does not help. And my clothes washer has developed a horrible smell. I have followed the cleaning instructions with marginal success. With the dryer, I was able to program dryer settings and now that doesnt work. I will never buy another LG product again. Buyer beware, do not buy these products.

Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs
Our electric glass top range/double oven stove is the worst ever! The knobs are SO sensitive and we have accidentally kicked them on numerous times by leaning against the stove when gathering in the kitchen and even by reaching up into the cabinet or microwave that is over the stove and hitting the knobs with our stomach or hips. Thank goodness we have always been home when this has happened and have been able to quickly address the melted cutting boards (2) and scissors that have been on the stove when accidentally turned on. Also, were very lucky that our dog knows better than to jump on the counters when we are not home or else I could see him turning on the stove and burning down our house with himself in it. I have called LG multiple times about this and each time I am assured someone will call me back but still no return call! To make matters worse, SafetyFirst brand makes knob covers to childproof these types of stoves, but LGs knobs are too large for the standard protectors. Its like LG aims to get a good laugh at peoples houses burning down because of their faulty products! We really wish we got a Whirlpool!!!

This is our 2nd LG dryer same model in 40 days. The same problem has occurred with each one. Dry cuts off and will not cut back on. We purchased it from our local Home Depot which have done everything they can to make right what LG has not. LG should be shut down for making lousy products that fail to work. I feel like the Better Business Bureau should be involved and shut down this company from taking innocent consumers money. My husband and I have missed 3 days from work to meet A&E repair company to work on our dryer. If it werent for the manager at Home Depot, we would have no one to talk with since LG doesnt give a rip. Why does Home Depot continue to carry such a horrible product line? In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. All of the knobs for this supposedly high end range (LRG30357ST) are poorly designed. The knobs are plastic covered with a very thin film of silver colored material, the back has a plastic sleeve instead of metal. The silver film blisters and shrivels and the plastic sleeve splits so the knobs arent secure on the shaft. The company has upgraded the knobs on the newer ranges but they wont work on this range as the shaft hole is reversed so they sit upside down. The only replacement knobs are the same crappy ones as the original. This range was in the new home we purchased. It was manufactured in 1-10 in Mexico.

I also bought the service contract. Im not at all happy with LG as they will not even call me back and will not answer my emails. I also found there is an opening between the glass in the two ovens. Within another month, a rotor went out, along with an outside basket. I was told that this would start at $500 parts and labor. My opinion at this point is until more money means a longer lasting machine. Buy something cheap and replace just as often. I will not buy another LG.

It took almost a month to finally get LG to respond. First call they needed proof of purchase sent to them (strange, since they already knew my model and date of purchase while on the phone!!). They said once received, a manager would review to determine if they would extend the warranty, which would allow for the top to be replaced. No call back. Called again a week later--same story, but never a call back. Called again a week later, and demanded to get this resolved. After waiting for 40 minutes on hold, it was denied. I said that was not acceptable as this is common complaint about this washer, etc. I demanded to talk to a supervisor. After about another 20-25 minutes, a supervisor approved the warranty extension, and scheduled a service call to replace the top. A new top is being shipped in time for the service call. Hopefully the replacement top has been redesigned around the bleach cup!!To those of you who said they denied your claim, do not give up! Demand to talk to a higher up person! I also told them I would be going to Home Depot to complain and every time I was there I would drop a picture of the rusted washer into every LG washer on display!

In just 2 short years I am having trouble with all of my appliances and am currently waiting on a service call from HHGregg (whom I will never buy appliances from ever again). Found out today that the HHGregg warranty is not as good as the paper on which it is written! One complaint is the LG microwave oven. It stopped working (the plate will no longer rotate and will not heat up). Apparently, there is a default in the design of the LG microwave ovens that fit over the stove. The heat from the stove causes the microwave system to stop working. LG and HHGregg should replace my malfunctioned microwave oven with one without this flaw! No LG told me to contact HHGregg! HHGregg offered me only a 200.00 store credit! This cost does not replace my microwave! I feel robbed by LG and by HHGregg! Shame on both these companies!!!

For more than a week, the LG customer service representatives have repeatedly made mistakes in a simple request form for an authorization to ship a compressor that was under warranty. As a result, a wedding party is arriving and there will not be a working refrigerator. From failing to get my name and address, to failing to get the address of the service technician correctly (they got that wrong twice), and, finally, when they finally did send out the authorization form it was incorrect, it had the wrong technicians name and address. I called yet again, this was after a full week had gone by, to alert them yet again. They said they had fixed it, emailed a second authorization letter, which did arrive. But it also had the wrong technicians name and address. So I had to call yet again. This time they told me Oooops, this time we had the technicians number wrong. So they again assured me they would have it fixed promptly and resend it. Several hours have gone by, and we still do not have the authorization letter. During this ordeal, two LG customer service representatives promised to call me back to be sure the problems were resolved. Neither did. A third has just asked if she can call me back again. I declined. I am currently on hold waiting to find out the status of our authorization letter. It baffles me that a corporate entity could have any kind of international credibility with a customer service system which is so profoundly incompetent.

We purchased this LG TOP OF THE LINE 700.00 DISHWASHER IN 2015. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE. When we purchased it. It was for a brand new home. We had to have a plumber come in and replace some of the pipes and lines to be able to accommodate this dishwasher. The dishwasher never gets the dishes clean EVER! Im constantly having to clean the dishwasher so the dishes get clean. I almost have to clean the dishes before they are stacked. The top sprayer arm keeps falling off during its normal cycle. The baskets never stay connected to each other. Not sure why... We decided to buy a really expensive nice dishwasher and it has been terrible. Then we had to remove the bottom piece in the dishwasher that siphons any debris out before it goes into the drain. The recommended tablets for the dishwasher get stuck in the cup and ends up having to be cleaned out of the cup and I have to re run the whole cycle again. And to top it off now the motor is dead and has to be replaced. Oh the wheels on the bottom of the rack keep falling off. Technician will be here next week when they can fit us in 100.00 just for the service call. I will never buy an LG ever again.

After much research and review we purchased the 6.3 cu. ft. Capacity Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean. He ordered it on December 29, 2014 and it was delivered in February 2015. Apparently it was not constructed until January of 2015. So I was excited for a brand new stove. I am an avid baker and love to cook. So having this stove was exciting!Fast forward to October 19, 2016. Woke up early and went to heat water for tea. My LED screen had a time on it that was incorrect, so I tried to update the clock. Nothing worked. I freaked out and checked all the circuit breakers etc. Nothing then the screen went black. Fast forward to today, when they could finally come out to look at it. I need a new panel...Shocker. Its not even two years old. Good thing is that I purchased an extended warranty. But I have been without a stove for 7 days and it will be an additional 10 days until the part comes in. My guess is that this is a common problem. This is my first and LAST LG purchase. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I bought an LG side-by-side refrigerator in Aug. 2009. It has been a problem since it was delivered. The first one was replaced and a new model was brought out. This one has been a nightmare since. The ice maker freezes up and does not work; you only get shaved ice. It has leaked to the point that it has bubbled the paint and rusted around the bottom of the exterior part of the ice maker. I have contacted the extended warranty company Assurance, which I purchased. They have been out for four different occasions and replaced the ice maker. They said there was nothing they could do about the rusted and peeled paint.I contacted LG and they said it was something I intentionally did to the refrigerator otherwise, it would not have done it. I was told by NFM that the extended warranty would cover all defects. Under the LEMON law, after 3 times and it would be replaced. Aug 23, 2011, I contacted Assurance and the representative gave a claim number and said it would be replaced; transferred me to an underwriter and he informed me in no circumstances did I have an extended warranty that had a Lemon Law Clause in it. It would have had to be added separately. I told him I never heard of that. He explained that he would not exchange this product for that reason and I would have to contact Nebraska Furniture Mart, which I did and still waiting to hear from them. LG makes the worse products and hopefully, the government will step in and take away their right to sell this crap in the USA. I have also told them the freezer has problems also; freezes up too much or not enough, and the refrigerator part stays cold or freezes everything.

Originally, I purchased the front load LG but realized that I couldnt soak clothes. I gave it to someone in need and purchased the LG WaveForce top loading. Wish I would have read reviews before buying. I cant get through one load without the machine being UE. Water will fill the machine as it tries to self-correct - what a waste of water! I cant leave the house and more specifically, I cant leave the laundry room (Im typing from the laundry room). It takes a couple of hours to wash one load of clothes. Water is never hot.The sink right next to the washer has hot water but I can barely get lukewarm for washing sheets and towels. Soaking clothes - well once I set it on soak and as soon as the machine filled, I turned it off, thinking it would soak until I restarted the washer. Wrong! The water slowly drains out. Next machine will be a top loading inexpensive washer like i use to have. GIVE ME BACK A SIMPLE MACHINE THAT ACTUALLY WASHES WITH MORE THAN A GALLON OF WATER!

Most recently, the refrigerator stopped working altogether, spoiling all of the food we had inside. We have had technicians come out a total of 6 TIMES and we still do not have a solution! Our freezer is currently not working and the ice dispenser is leaking. We have had a non-working refrigerator for over a week. Tech came in and said we have to put it on BULK (never had this problem with other machines). So, he cleared it, and worked on the drain motor. A couple months later (while using bulk setting), the machine did the same thing. In the year and a half since we bought it, it had done this about 25 times. I bought a top loading washing machine (no agitator in November 2013). The first week I washed a pillow and it shredded it and any towels to pieces. I called Home Depot and they said I had to deal with LG. A repair person came out and determined that the plastic rim around tub needed to be replaced. I wanted LG to replace my washer and they said NO. They told me that I had to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they would consider replacing it. The plastic rim got replaced and the washer continued to shred clothes. The next repair person came out and found sharp edges in bottom of tub that have been ripping clothes. He then contacts LG and they say that this not covered under warranty. The repair will cost $800 (which is more than I paid for the washer!). The repair guy told me to only wash clothes on Bulky bedding setting so that clothes will less likely shred because it uses the most water. The following month I had a loss in the family and gave up trying to deal with LG. So for the past 4 years I have been using this washer only on Bulky bedding setting and throwing out a piece of shredded clothing about every other wash. The washer never cleans well, my whites are always dull and makeup never washes out of washcloths. The top latch also broke and I have to hold the lid down for a while before it will start. For past two weeks I have been getting a an error message that my brother who works on washing machines could not fix. It will not drain/spin. My brother took the back of the washer off to see if he could help and there was tons of pillow stuffing and shredded clothing pieces from the very first week of having this machine! LG says all repairs are up to me and there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER buy anything LG again!

I used to love LG products; however, my wife and I bought an LG refrigerator along with an LG washer, dryer, microwave, and dishwasher. Our refrigerator stopped cooling all together. After trying to do the simply things LG suggests, we had to call for service. Called on Thursday the 12th and they scheduled an appointment for Monday the 16th 1-5pm. I called the service company on Friday to confirm and they said there was nothing scheduled. Called LG and they set us up with another service provider; however, the earliest they could be out was Tuesday the 24th. Spent 55 mins on the phone with LG and they said they cant do anything else and the line to the service scheduling department is down. When they work they are great. When they break while still under warranty its not worth it. Buy a different companys product. Thanks.

I’m very disappointed in my LG refrigerator. I only had it 3 years and it broke down twice. Both times we had no refrigerator for almost two weeks. The second time was a compressor which between the repair company and LG suppliers it did not make our Life Good. The new compressor is report-ably an improved version of the original compressor, which begs the question why the cheap one first and what other parts do LG appliances have that are inferior and unreliable. Losing count but so far 4 new icemakers, valves and whatever else has been replaced. We have reworked our schedule and lives to letting repairmen into our house to fix the icemaker on this new refrigerator only to NEVER have it work. LG has been kind during phone calls but I would rather them be rude and FIX it! It has a SMART DIAGNOSIS on the inside of the door that allows me to hold my phone to for them to diagnose, but that didnt work when I talked to them either. We have been buying bagged ice and ice trays for and expensive new refrig. for 2 1/2 months now. When is enough enough? I bought this LG gas range last November at Home Depot. (And they knew nothing at all about the flaws in the range.) To begin, there was a problem with the gas not turning on quickly enough, causing some gas to leak out, and a repairman came and fixed it. It required a part that had to be ordered, and I couldn’t use the range for a few days. But there are two other big problems I have had. First, the easy clean feature. It doesn’t work. At all. And it is a pain to use anyway—filling the indented compartment in the bottom of the oven! Doesn’t do anything, and then you have to extract the water by hand from the oven floor. They say not to use oven cleaners, etc. as it can ruin the oven walls. Which leaves no real choices. A man who came to put in a new dishwasher told me I could use something like Soft Scrub. I haven’t tried it yet. I am 73 years old, and I am too old to have to get on my hands and knees and clean an oven.Second problem: when the oven is on, air blows out from the oven, but instead of coming out the front, it comes out the back. The air flow is directed toward the burners and usually blows them out. If you don’t stay right with it, you have a major gas leak problem. I have had to put up barriers in front of the air flow vents to keep this from happening. I would never walk away from the stove if I use the oven and cook on the burners at the same time. This might be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I would never ever buy another lg appliance. The leaking gas is a major safety concern. The company had to know the easy clean feature doesn’t work. And when I told the repairman this, he said maybe I should have done better research before I purchased it. Wonderful customer service. I would like to give no stars...

I purchased this washer about 2.5 years ago and my frustration with it began shortly after I started using it due to its poor performance. It is frequently off balance. Even if it only has water and no clothes it will work for a minute or two then stop indicating its off balance. Washing clothes is an all day affair at times and I wash clothes by hand sometimes to avoid using this hated washer. When it becomes off balance it will drain the water out and refill again and again so any savings on low water usage are non-existent. I started a load at 6:00 am this morning and it should have taken 57 minutes. (It is now 7:45.) After my having to adjust the clothes in the barrel several times the machine tells me it needs 30 more minutes to complete which with my experience could actually mean multiple more imbalances and more time.... I truly HATE this washer and would encourage anyone to NEVER buy it.

June 2011, we decided to replace our kitchen appliances. Not because our 27 year old Kitchen Aids did not work, but that they looked very outdated. After very much research, we decided on the LG 4 door LMX 28994 refrigerator with the Converta drawer, the LDF 7932 Dishwasher, and the LMS 2073 Microwave Oven. We choose to purchase a GE Monogram dual fuel range rather than an LG at that same time. Our decisions were carefully researched, and the choices made not only based on those particular appliances features, but also upon the then available reviews. 10 months later, we woke to find the food in our fridge warm and spoiled, and our dishwasher no longer working. April 2012, LG replaced our refrigerator, and when I asked if a new warranty would take effect, was advised by LG that they would only extend our existing fridge warranty by 3 months. I asked why? It was a brand new refrigerator... should it not have a one year warranty? Our dishwasher motor was replaced by LG that same month. 3 months later, our microwave started to malfunction, just after it was out of warranty. We did not purchase an extended warranty for the Microwave, but did purchase extended warranties for the refrigerator and dishwasher. Currently we once again have a refrigerator that requires servicing. Its making so much noise that it wakes us in the middle of the night, and our cheeses are going soft, and milk is warm. The service tech cant seem to decide if its the fan or the compressor. Our hope is that this issue is resolved before our extended warranty is up in June 2016, which by the way, is the only right thing we did when we chose to purchase LG appliances. We should have gone with all GE Monogram, since we have not had any trouble at all with our GE range. Our dishwasher has the worst designed racks weve ever seen, and we are now having to pre-rinse our dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Ahhh modern technology, got to love it. I wonder if Mr. Seong-Jin Jo, President and CEO for LG Appliance Company is aware of, or even cares about the multitude of dissatisfied customers LG appliance has. They may be trying too hard with their Innovation, sending their products out in the market before they have proven their reliability. After spending almost $4,000.00 to purchase our fridge, $1,500 on our dishwasher, and almost $500.00 on our microwave, one would hope that they would last more than a year or two. Never again would we buy LG anything.

I bought an LG dishwasher 3 years ago. Read reviews I could find at the time. They werent the top of the line but they were reviewed better than middle of the road. I wanted it to be quiet and clean my dishes well. That lasted about 6 months, called them and they told me that all dishwashers make noise. I asked them why the dishes werent drying completely, they told me the inside of a dishwasher is always going to leave some moisture on the dishes. Really, that was their answer. Quit draining this week, well thats not true. It drained all over my kitchen floor. Finally found a repairman to work on it. Guess what, repairmen hate LG dishwashers too, if they will even work on them. Repairman told me if you can afford to buy another dishwasher to do it, they always break. Since I dont have a money tree in my backyard, I had to have it fixed, but you can bet I will never buy another LG dishwasher.

I will NEVER buy another LG anything. I purchased a $3000 French door LG model brand new 4 years ago. The compressor went out in September. I lost all my food and I had a local service company come out only to tell me they could not get parts and that this is common with the LG brand. They suggested I check warranty and call LG direct. And that’s where the nightmare really begins.... I have been in contact with customer service 14 times, always on the phone for over 30 mins up to over an hour at times. Many times transferred to an “executive service member” who in my opinion does less for you than whoever initially answers the call. They have set up repair appointments with a company that doesn’t show up or call back. Out of all those calls and all the time spent in the phone it goes like this; They say there is no one else in the area that is certified LG repair. They offer to call other local repair companies. None of them want the job. They offer to reimburse for us to purchase a small refrigerator in the meantime up to $150. Still no repair. Many calls later I am told they will process a partial refund for the original purchase but will need to review my receipt. I send in receipt, receipt for mini fridge and other documentation including my first service call bill and service notes. I am continually promised a call back. I never get one. NEVER. I continue to call. 3 months later, no repair, no call back, no reimbursement, no refund. I continually get the run around from each call. Now they are trying to get a repair company out again. I have since had to buy another refrigerator. I have 3 children and my ill mother living with me, obviously no one can go that long without a working refrigerator. My advice is keep your sanity, poor products and worse customer service and warranty promises. BEWARE OF LG.

We purchased this dryer from Lowes in Round Rock Texas in February 2016. It was functioning properly until about a month ago. You would hit the power button, select your cycle and hit start. It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. Everything was working as needed but the dryer still would not start once the start button was activated. The tech is coming back tomorrow to check the system. I will repost if we are not successful. When I purchased my $2400 LG refrigerator 5 years ago the salesman assured me that this refrigerator should last 15-20 years. WRONG. From day one, our 1+ year old LG WF487OCW top loading washer has stopped mid cycle with the UE error message. The start cycle that assesses the load size is a joke. It fails most often when I try to do a delicate cycle with a small load. I might have to rearrange that load 2-3 times or more to complete a cycle. But it can happen with any size load. With my laundry in the basement, I can never assume that the load I put in is done. Very frustrating to have to repeatedly rearrange the load. The machine will actually go into a violent series of moves before stopping. Washing machines typically last us many years. After reading other reviews, we find ourselves wishing that we had picked another brand. We actually chose this one based on good reviews from Consumer Reports! Sounds like we would only be facing additional frustrations if we tried to reach LG for customer service.

I bought the LG wp2060R which is suppose to be a 17 kg washload machine... as the largest LG I have bought, I thought it better for a larger wash load... but the spin dry section is where the problem is... you need to spend too much time balancing the clothes to get the spin dryer to operate properly. Its frustrating it happens with all those highspeed spin driers but the larger capacity machines are the worst. LG as a leading brand need to rectify this problem quickly to take some of the extended stress out of laundering. Its very frustrating. I have neighbours who bought the same model and are frustrated with the same problem. (Trying to be diplomatic even though I desire to use some adjectives to express my frustration with this problem.) We would like to just transfer the wash to the spin and just start without any time consuming adjustments. Thank you.

This is a beautiful, very large washer. Had great reviews and ratings in consumer magazines, etc. For 10 months or so it functioned well, handling large quantities of laundry, including towels and bedding. Then nearing the 1 year mark, the UE symbol, meaning it cant spin out the water from your clothing was a regular occurrence. I was told to use the tub clean cycle. It may have helped it balance for a few uneventful loads. But it was short lived. If you like standing over the top of a washer watching to see if it will spin, etc., but seeing it add 20 or more minutes over and over, then this is the one for you. A big disappointment.Updated on 1/23/2017: Whenever I have called LG about the frequent (Out of balance) issue they always say run the tub clean cycle, which I suppose tries to re-balance or reset without any clothes in it. It even get off balance empty!! Why does this washer get such good reviews in consumer reports, etc.

My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. They must have found a company to re-market and re-brand them, with great looking outside features, but the same crappy inside components.

LG French door refrigerator - I was reading Tony from San Antonios problem with his fridge and it sounds exactly the same for me. 22 months ago, I bought an LG refrigerator from Best Buy for $2400 and last week, it stopped cooling down enough to safely use. It cant get below 40-50 degrees. I didnt get the extended warranty so now I have spent another $400 on service calls and nobody can figure out whats wrong. They tried adding some Freon thinking there was a leak but now I am getting an error message on the front. If anyone has had a similar problem and figured out what to do to fix it, please email me what worked. Never again, LG.

The product came highly recommended. Motherboard went in first 3 months of owning it. Had to call many times and had to wait to be serviced for almost a week. Service man ended coming at midnight to service. Not even a year after the refrigeration/freezer sensor is gone. Called and given a date 11 days later for repair due to having the wrong postal code in their system! Now 10 days later after repeated calls to many different departments telling us they might not have the part, fridge totally not working, food spoiled and no remorse. We want the fridge taken away, money refunded. NEVER will buy LG again!

I have several LG appliances, all have had numerous issues. The refrigerator - drawers crack easily, door shelves snap under basic load (the shelf for milk broke off with just milk in it). The range - front panel cracked due to heat (ON A RANGE!!!!). The Dryer - the drum cracked to the point where clothes can probably get through. I contacted support about all of these, and they simply parroted the 1 year parts & labour mantra. Save yourself some money and DO NOT BUY LG.

We’ve had some LG refrigerators in the past and my wife liked the looks it. She wanted to have the water and ice cube through the door that accessible ‘cause we had that on our refrigerator before. I like the French doors on the one we bought and the door within the door. We had it delivered then there was an installation issue and we had LG come out and fix it. It was just a matter of not getting the refrigerator fully plugged in 100% when they removed the door to get it through the doorway.

I bought my LG fridge in 2017 and my wife and I woke up to the dreaded compressor failure on it this Sat morning. After reading the reviews on here we were prepared for a horrible experience and to have to go without a fridge/freezer for months with two young kiddos!! I was ready to swear off LG just as other reviewers on here, but here is the abbreviated details of what happened. * Called customer service on Sat. (Was nice to them when I called). * Was told there was an open time slot for this Monday (today) for tech to take a look. * My expectation based on reviews here was tech would show up; explain it would be a month for the part to come in and uff.... * Tech showed up today. Michael who works for LG direct service. He not only had a compressor on him to replace the default one but had all the tools to get it done today. He was very professional and and explained to me contrary to other reviews on here that LG has upgraded and improved their software and the compressors so hopefully this will not happen again. Only took him about 90min to get it all fixed as he knew his stuff! * Fridge is fixed and running only two days after I first called customer service on a weekend at no cost on labor or parts. I don't write many reviews on anything but feel that this was deserving as I'm sure others had valid unpleasant experiences, but mine was a very positive one. If anyone else has this issues don't hit the panic button based on other's reviews. I don't know if it helped the cause but I was very calm and understanding when I called them to explain the problem as well. Products are going to have issues but I will judge a company based on how they deal with those problems and LG handled this very professional and I am very satisfied. Hopefully this repair holds up but if not if they deal with it the same way this one went they will retain me as a customer on future purchases. I do really like the fridge as well so 5 stars both for the fridge as well as the service.

I just spent 1 hr and 15 minutes on the phone so LG can diagnose my brand new dishwasher--used 3 times! This piece of garbage leaves dishes filthy!!! I heard every stupid excuse why this piece of garbage wont clean. This one is good---we dont have enough water pressure--even though the machine controls the force of the jets via its internal jets. In fact, LG boasts of their Direct Drive pumps/motor that supposed to clean so well! It has nothing to do with water pressure because the unit is filled before the wash cycle starts!!! After all the attempts to diagnose the problem via my smartphone, nothing worked. I told them to just get a service repair person out. I was told that if this is the normal operation of your unit, it wont be covered under their warranty and will be charged!!! This LG dishwasher is a piece of garbage, as is their so-called customer service. DO NOT PURCHASE LG!!!

The LG representatives worked very hard to guarantee that I would not be getting any help either by getting them to repair the oven, send me the part, or provide me with technical support. There are not many parts that can go wrong but expensive if you guess wrong. The recall item was the control panel (board) but there are two in question. One for $60.00 the other for $170.00.

Today I had a refrigerator delivered based on the information given to us by THEIR own employees. They stated that there was no vendor in our city that would be able to repair a sealed system leak. We were just about to have the 4-year old LG fridge removed and the new one installed that I couldnt afford but had to buy when they told us that Sears was able to send someone out to repair it under the warranty. We had already waited a week for them to do the right thing and needed a fridge. They were unapologetic and they REFUSED to do the right thing and reimburse us for the LG fridge under the warranty was we were told would be done. So we now have an LG fridge waiting for repair after 9 days sitting next to the SAMSUNG that we had to buy as we could wait no longer for LG to come through. They make crappy products and their customer services is inept and inefficient and they dont stand behind their warranties. They want you to have a hard time using their warranties so that they dont have to stand by them. CROOKS - like Ive never seen before. DO not waste your money on their junk. Their customer service is on a level of incompetence that I have never seen before and I hope never to again. STAY AWAY - buy any brand other than LG. Its better to use an ice chest than to buy an LG product. Garbage!!!

We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. I purchased this expensive front loading washer/dryer set from Sears 3 years ago. I bought the extended warranty! And within 6 months, the washer (which smelled terribly moldy inside) would not drain. I read the manual, opened the little door at the bottom left, pulled out the hose and drained the machine. It took a long time! It happened several more times over the years. I would call for service under warranty and the repairman would do the same thing I did, but never really FIXED the problem, which SHOULD NOT HAPPEN over and over.
