The control knobs can be slightly bumped and the gas is turned on! This has happened several times in with our LG range. We have to reach above to get to our above the range LG microwave and bump the control knobs. Usually we notice the smell of gas pretty quick however one night my husband cleaned the kitchen and went to bed. I came home later that night, after a long day of work/travel, to find my house filled with gas! My husband and daughter were both upstairs asleep but THANK GOD they were okay. My husband likely bumped the knob when cleaning or reaching in the microwave. The control knobs are completely unsafe and are seriously life threatening! LG needs to recall these! Something needs to be done! PLEASE.

Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times.
Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times. The first time, LG repaired within the first year. Second time occurred three weeks ago. The warranty company contracted a local appliance repair company to come out. They came out and diagnosed the issue, then said they needed to order a new compressor and should take three to five days. On day three, I call the company to find out status of compressor. They indicate it had not yet arrived. I call every day after that for another week and could not get anyone to answer the phone. My wife and I are both professionals and do not have time to deal with a fridge company. On day eleven or so, I file a complaint on Better Business Bureau website. Less than twenty minutes later, I get a call. Company comes out to install the new compressor a day later. Repair guy says it is fixed and leaves. Later that day, I again noticed the fridge was not working. Fridge is still broken!!! Now another lost work day and more time on the phone and internet wasting my time dealing with a terrible LG Product! There has to be legal recourse with so many complaints. I bet the majority of us have the same model. LG needs to be held accountable for selling a $2500 piece of junk!

My LG clothes dryer (model #DLEX5170W) stopped working during my first year
My LG clothes dryer (model #DLEX5170W) stopped working during my first year of ownership. That was just the start of my problems. Getting someone in customer service @ LG was another part of the problem: they put the burden on you and told me I didnt have enough electric power (I had plenty) & had to hire a certified electrician and get more power. The electrician (at my cost) said I had plenty of power. Called LG back and they still had me jump through hoops but finally set up an appt. with Jimmys Same Day Appliance to come to my home one afternoon, LG said, between 1 and 7 on a Friday. He never showed and never called. (I have caller ID, so I know he never called)! What a waste of time. LG set up a 2nd appt. for the following Monday with the same guy/co. to come between 11-3 and at 12:30 he called to say his daughter fell at school and hurt her arm and he was going to the hospital and doubted he would make it today. At least this time he called. I called LG....another ten to twenty minute call, and requested a different service tech, and got one for tomorrow between 1 and 5 pm. What a nightmare. Had I known LG products break down during their first year and that customer service is so difficult I never would have bought their product! Never will again!

Lifes Good company need to change their name to Lifes Terrible. Recently my refrigerator broke down and its been out of service for about one month now. My husband has contacted LG customer service on numerous occasions. They supposedly arranged (via telephone) for a repair company in our area to come by and service the refrigerator. My husband sat around all day waiting on someone to show up to repair the refrigerator (because they didnt have a definite time a repair technician would stop by). Needless to say, the whole day was wasted, because no one showed up to repair the refrigerator. When my husband called the local appliance company that supposedly had the order to come and repair the refrigerator, they knew nothing about a service order to repair our refrigerator. When my husband spoke with a customer service representative, he was told that the local company would contact him. To this date, no one locally has contacted us. He has spoken with customer service on numerous occasions. He called a company in a city about 150 miles away, if that far, and was told they didnt travel that far to make repairs. He has spoken with customer service at LG on numerous occasions and keeps getting the run around about how they understand being without a refrigerator for a month, but they havent made any progress to fix the situation. Whats worse about this situation is that we own two of LGs refrigerators. We will NEVER, I repeat NEVER purchase another LG appliance or anything else that LG owns, because they have been very apathetic about our situation and doesnt care that weve lost a lot of food that was in the refrigerator and freezer. We are improvising with a little dorm refrigerator and they are not doing ANYTHING to remedy this situation. Were going to tell everyone we know, dont purchase LG appliances or anything that has LGs label attached to it. The lack of service is unacceptable and the absolute worse experience weve ever faced with any purchase, large or small. Life IS NOT good with LG. LG change your name!

Well our big LG made it past its 5th birthday without a single repair, but sadly the compressor died exactly 120 days after that milestone. We bought our LFX31925ST in July 2012 from Home Depot. Looks can be deceiving... the interior had very good fit and finish and oh the size. From the first week, we would hear a loud bang every few days. I figured it was some kind of expansion valve. Ice cubes would often clump together, so it became a routine to open the ice maker door and un-clump the ice with a spoon. But for 5 years it was pretty much trouble-free. I had a commercial-grade surge protector on it from day 1. Both the freezer and refrigerator compartment stopped cooling right after Thanksgiving this year (thank God it was AFTER Thanksgiving). And just good luck my mom moved the week before and gave me her old upright freezer, thus we didnt lose much food. I removed the back panel on the LG and verified both fan and compressor were running. As it was out of 1 year labor warranty, LG would not pay for the service call to determine if the 7-year sealed system or 10-year warrantied compressor was the culprit. Spent $98 and waited a few days on a service call. Tech gets on the phone with LG and diagnosed it needs a new compressor. Compressor is under 10-year warranty, 1 month back order, but $1295 for labor is my responsibility. Geez, I should have went to refrigeration school. Tech said hes replaced so many of these LG compressors and recommended I get a new Whirlpool. He said even the replacements would fail. I like our LG fridge for its size and interior fit and finish, but to spend $1300 on a repair that will probably not last? My family members still have GE and Jenn Air fridges that are over 20 years old and not a single service call. Really disappointed. All this linear compressor and Inverter power supply technology seems to have compromised reliability. Anyone still make good old reliable refrigerators?

The refrigerator had a whole lot of space inside of it. I mean I could always fit two or three gallon milk jugs in there. It also was really quiet so you could never hear it like some of the older less efficient refrigerators out there. But to improve the refrigerator I would add water filters and a water dispenser. I would also add more freezer space because people freeze a lot of things like meats. Also, I would give it Bluetooth capability with a tv screen next to the water dispenser. Otherwise LG has indeed met my expectations. When they show off they really know how to make appliances look good. I think what they do and what they are good at is keeping things simple. Sometimes, these other brands have too much going on that it just doesnt do it for most people.

We bought 5 LG appliances in April of 2010 and had them installed in August same year. So far we have had to have the wall oven repaired twice after only 3 years. After the first repair it broke down again within 7 months and we were told the warranty for the new part was only 6 months! Trying to get a second repair took over a month of angry phone calls just to try to get a LG certified repair shop to even book an appointment! When contacting customer service they will not let you speak with any sort of management/supervisory personnel and there is no way to receive an address for a letter of complaint. Our convection microwave also stopped working after less than 3 years and had to be replaced at the same time as the second oven repair. Should have been done with the first oven repair but could not get the part from LG in time and they were going to charge for another service call!Side by side double drawer bottom mount freezer refrigerator hasnt had the water dispenser work for a couple years. Their top of the line dishwasher has been having grinding sounds for over a year and this week is now on a continual run cycle no matter which cycle you request, just does not stop as well as having the loud grinding sound the whole time it runs whether 2 minutes or 20 hours! Just waiting for our induction cooktop to be the last of the appliances to quit, should be coming any time now! It astounds me that consumers can pay top dollar for products and get lower than average results with the products and customer service. Trying to speak to anyone within the customer service center is a lesson in how not to conduct business, and not being able to have a contact address or email or phone number for customer complaint is infuriating.

I currently fighting with LG on my stove (LRE6383ST). Hey has anyone every dealt with LG, for warranty on a range? It only 6 months old, my convection oven has stop working on Easter Sunday 2017. They first told me that they would replaced it with a new stove. Now they are given me the runaround for weeks, now they tell me that is going to be another 3 to 5 business days before they know what or how to replace. They said they would repair it but we are too far away for the nearest repair person in Yorkton which living in Raymore we know that there is no repair people to help. Im so angry I was thinking of buying the fridge to match but not now.I waited for 4 weeks when I bought it because they were on back-order. Actually all appliances were due to all companies sending everything to Fort Mac after the fire which was great for them but not for anyone else. All I want is a new range that works for more than 6 months. Now LG said they would give me a store credit only after I send my stove to them in BC and what the hell am I to use till I get a new one. There is another problem. None of the LG RANGES are available nor can they tell me when. It could be months which is not acceptable. How can I cook for my family of 5. The store where I purchase this stove is helping me to deal with LG. LG you need to make this right!!!

The expensive refrigerator with French doors, we have had at least 5 repair calls, the ice/water dispenser leaked and the double doors at the freezer froze up and couldnt open doors. The company has not replaced the unit, they did replace the doors and they didnt work also. The repairman said nothing more he could do. They are ducking me, putting me on hold for almost an hour each time I call. I will never buy another LG product.

We have had the dishwasher 3-4 years, it has been working fine. Then I start smelling something and take of the panel. A wire had come loose and melted the side then started melting plugs. After I had taken everything apart I found that not only had a wire come loose but the left side of the washer was rusting. See pics. How in the world does this happen in such a short time with everything is suppose to be sealed. LG told they couldnt or wouldnt do anything because it was out of warranty. I guess if you get a couple of days out of warranty watch out your house, could burn down because for shoddy labor. Never buy an LG again.

Bought LG 2050 washer about 3 years ago. About 1 year ago, washer would leak on occasion, not that much water. I called LG and they told me to clean washer and they questioned me on detergent use. I used the correct amount and type of detergent. But LG kept saying that the leakage issue was my fault and that it would go away. Well, a week ago, water started pouring out of washer. Looked at washer and determined it is leaking from the seal. Very difficult and expensive to repair. I am very disappointed and feel that I was misled by LG.

I purchased the pricey LG French Door Refrigerator back in June of 2013 and have had NOTHING but problems. The ice maker jammed constantly and leaked out onto the floor. The bottom freezer compartment stops randomly, spoiling all the contents. I have had repair folks out three times now. And LG is of no help. They now tell me that they will not cover anything because I am past warranty.I am so disappointed in their (lack of) any customer service. They do NOT make it right and I HIGHLY warn anyone from purchasing an LG appliance. I am now working through my credit card company to try to get some repairs covered or hopefully a replacement. An unreliable refrigerator is not OKAY!!! I have completed the form for the Class Action Lawsuit but Im concerned that will only result in pennies on the dollar (if anything) for the lost food items and me left with a faulty refrigerator.

Got the LG Range 9 years ago. Recently the range can not turn off. I check with LG, and they said it is in the Recall List, and it is a known issue. They sent the technician and the technician said the part is out of stock. And he will report the issue back to LG. A lady for customer service called me next two days, and she hardly answer my question. Have to escalate to her supervisor and the whole conversion with the supervisor is total disaster. Basically he said, I am the boss, you have to done whatever I told you. Totally not happy with the conversation. And he ask for the receipt, hey, the range was purchased 9 years ago, not sure how many people keep receipt for 9 years, not even the tax receipt. And finally, he said he will order the part, but it will be available on next year Jan. Then I ask for call me back if the part is available, and he said, thats my business, I have to call back myself to check. Wow, how great LG service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I asked to talk to his manager, and he said, I am the boss, and I am the last person you can talk to. Can anyone tell me what else I can do?

Last year in August I replaced my LG microwave oven with an identical one (38 Litre LG Microwave Rounded Cavity Interior - Two). I dont have the exact model number but it is something like LG MS 3842 and has a 38 liter capacity. I now have to replace the one replaced under warranty in August 2013 with yet another one. Both ceased heating as per specifications and emitted a strong smell of electronics and/or wiring overheating or burning. At no stage was the oven used in a manner other than to cook vegetables and rice, the main items prepared for eating in this appliance. I am now going to replace the model with one that claims to have 7 fold Aqua Block System as a safety feature. Good luck to me!

Bought on sale from Lowes. Front loader with removable drain filter for cleaning every 30 or so days. Has worked well for cleaning and takes liquid or dry soap. Doesnt always deal well with tablets. Has all types of cycles and add water and timing feature along with Bluetooth though I have never found need to use that feature. Seems to be well built and comes with 10 year drive system guarantee. Also has a really good balance system for unbalanced loads such that it works the cloth forwards and backwards until load is balanced before final spin. Older models dont have that feature and eventually tear themselves apart spinning an unbalanced load. Works well and saves water and detergent and has all features. Have had for 2 years 5 adults using fourteen loads per week.

I am another LG customer who is very disappointed to have rust around the bleach dispenser. I purchased this washing machine 4 years ago. I contacted LG customer services by email & got the following response back: The rust in your washing machine liquid bleach dispenser area is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive & will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately & the area cleaned with warm water & a soft cloth. Touch-up paint may be used to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. This is a bleach dispenser for petes sake & I dont spill bleach all over the area, just into the plastic opening where you are supposed to pour it. The rust has formed around & underneath the plastic cover, and I have cleaned the area on various occasions. I am not a happy camper having spent a lot of money purchasing a washer & dryer from LG. I thought I was going to get quality merchandise that would last for many years but unfortunately that is not the case. Very disappointed & wont be replacing any other kitchen appliances from this company.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

A month ago the compressor on our LG French Door refrigerator model# LFX31925ST/00 died. It is still under LG warranty. Frequent calls to LG customer service only get another customer service representative that says they understand but are unable to do anything because. Each has a different because. Tonight, one even stated there was no record of us ever reporting a problems. Others have said the parts have been shipped to the technician a week ago, but the technician hasnt seen them. The technician called them and they said there was no record of the parts being ordered, even though the technician gave them the order number. This is an example of a complete runaround with no apparent intent to fulfill their warranty responsibilities. Or it may just be an attempt to defraud senior citizens. We are an elderly couple that lives in a very rural area. We must keep our medicines cold. Daily trips to town are out of the question.

Bought the top-loading Inverter Direct Drive about 3 years ago. This is the biggest POS appliance we have ever owned! Washer gets unbalanced with almost every load - no matter how small or large. It takes a LONG time to wash any load. The display may say that its a 52-minute load. Thats ONLY if you monitor it getting unbalanced or shutting off completely. It mostly gets unbalanced at 34 minutes remaining and at 11 minutes remaining. Unless you use the bulky setting, you get next to NO water in the tub. And the very WORST PART is that it has RUINED countless shirts, pants, and shorts. It will put dark, short streaks (stains) ON YOUR CLOTHES THAT YOU CANNOT GET OUT. We have washed the Maxine-stained items up to six times using a wide variety of stain removers and NOTHING works. We wound up throwing items away after this machine stained them. Now we turn everything inside out. We hope to be moving soon and will GLADLY leave this machine behind. What a HORRIBLE appliance!!!

He said This is the problem and started to repeat what I said EXCEPT he wasnt saying what I had the said. I tried three more times to explain the problem. He got angry (actually he wasnt happy when he called), he got me upset as I tried four times to explain the problem. I suggested we make an appointment… he said NO. I dont come out until I understand the problem. He said I will look at the manual and call you back. He did that… Lo and behold he STILL DID NOT UNDERSTAND. I then called LG back. The man (sounded like he was in India) said You have an appointment on the 8th of May. I told I knew nothing about an appointment. He said May I call the person that called you. I said Fine. Have not heard back. A few days ago my older son was at my house. He said Mom, be careful. I was turning on one of the front burners. He must have noticed the large flame. I never told either of my sons about the fact that my clothes have been singed when turning on the front burners. Just let something happen in my kitchen because of the stove and you know who will be sued big time...

Two months ago the washer filled up and would not spin or drain. I had to have one of the kids wring the water out of the clothes pc by pc. I contacted a friend that did appliance repairs and asked for some help. He wasnt able to arrive for a week, after which time it was discovered it was the drum of the washer. I contacted LG and they said not to worry that it would be covered as a lifetime coverage. Great! Next problem I bought this off of co-worker and his partner that they had it for about a year prior but was going into a home foreclosure and sold it to me. I didnt ask for the receipt at that time not thinking it was an issues as they bought it at our local Home Depot just around the corner from us both. So as I am speaking with the LG Rep on the phone, she takes my info and then says okay I have everything I need, now we just need your tech to call in the repair call so it can be further processed. I explained the whole story as I did not have receipt and that it was never called in as I was the owner. She said thats okay, not to worry, that wouldnt be an issue. My friend calls in the problem to them, they tell him okay; its covered but all they need is a proof of purchase. Not so easy, the co-workers partner had passed a year ago and there was no remembering what CC was used to purchase or what phone number so Home depot has no way to track it. Needless to say months later, still no washer and now since I am on a fix budget as a single mom, I now have to use a laundry mat to do our laundry, very hard after many years. Its the freaking drum that is cover and I can show them exactly which store the Serial Numbered Washer was purchased from but that is not good enough after one rep said it wasnt a problem. I have told my friends and family, not to waste their time with LG Products as they too will run into POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Nothing but a run around and ** just to get out of the lifetime coverage. Avoid LG if you want better quality. Go with Maytag, I had one for over 10 + years!!!!

My family member purchased this brand new refrigerator and in six months the ice machine was not working. We called LG for service and their diagnostic testing resolution was to not open the refrigerator door too often. We responded that opening the doors should not cause the ice machine to malfunction. We reset it; and eight months later the compressor goes. This thing is a lemon. What saved us from further expenses is the fact we had purchased the extended warranty. We did lose food and LG reimbursed us up to $300.00 for the loss. There is no way that a $4000.00 fridge should be breaking down this fast. We have had models costing far less (hundreds) that has lasted 15-20 years: the repair man stated these smart models will only be lasting 6-8 years. Ours hasnt lasted six months to just over a year. My advise, keep it simple, and avoid LG products. There was a local news story that LG contracts out the parts production to many different smaller companies all over the world, so they cant be blamed for their lemons. One must sue the parts company.

Im at work while Im writing this so I dont have the exact model number of the machines. But we Installed the machines correctly and leveled them and we had problems with the dryer within 3 months of loud humming noise. They came out and said that there was nothing they could do, that it was normal and we called them just before the warranty ran out, and once again right after and never got it fixed. Serviceman was no help. The washer always vibrated horribly on the spin cycle. Now a few years later its broken its mounts and is burning the front gasket. The set was complete garbage from day one. I will never buy another LG product. Not a phone, mp3, battery, nothing.

We custom cut and trimmed for that microwave. We will be out $100 plus to replace it.

The oven temperature is not accurate. Have to turn on all the burners beforehand so the temperature is not way too high. Sometimes it will work properly but more often than not it is too hot. The igniter on the right hand side of range (in front) will turn itself on and keep on until we unplug the stove. I think this is a fire hazard. And for the cost of the range it is definitely a piece of expensive junk. The cost of the range was around $1000. The range will definitely have to be replaced and it is only 2 1/2 years old.

The refrigerator was recommended to me by a friend. I really do take pride in this amazing refrigerator for sure. I cannot say it enough. It was a standard basic refrigerator and had an ice maker in it. It was stainless steel and a shiny grey and was hard to stain or beat up. Even with a child in the house this refrigerator is so darn durable and I absolutely love it. It was a good refrigerator and kept the food cold like all refrigerators should.. This refrigerator was definitely built to last for years and am so glad I found it. I even got a good deal. This refrigerator belongs in every single home. I cannot say it enough.

I purchased the over the range microwave from Best Buy just over a year ago. The microwave stopped working, will not power on. I verified the outlet is good by trying another appliance in it and I even replaced the fuse in the microwave, but still does not work. I called LG, but since it was out of warranty, they said there is nothing they can do and referred me to a local repair shop. The local shop said it would end up costing more than I paid to come out, diagnose, and potentially repair the system. At this point, it seems I have no options left other than buying a brand new microwave. I wasted my money on this LG microwave that barely even lasted one year. Poor quality product and poor customer service.

I have owned an LG refrigerator for five years, and have now had 3 times where it stopped sufficiently cooling due to a well known issue with the compressor and other internal components. There is even a class action lawsuit that covers numerous models. Part of the class-action lawsuit requires them to extend the warranty up to 5 years. Since I am now about 7 months past that 5 years warranty, LG will cover the parts to repair, but not the labor. Since the repair is quite involved, it is expensive and therefore not worth it, especially since this would have been the THIRD time to replace the compressor and other parts, and there is no guarantee it would be a durable repair. If the third failure of the compressor had happened just 7 months earlier, I would have been entitled, per the terms of the settlement, to compensation. I realize at this point LG is not obligated to do anything beyond the terms of the class action settlement, but it is infuriating to me that a company would produce a product like this, need to have a class action lawsuit to do right by its customers, and seems content to leave me with a product they know is faulty and refuse to take responsibility based essentially on a technicality. Its disgraceful. Avoid LG products. This is a nightmare.

I have contacted LG 4 times and they have never called me back. My fridge over time seems to have slowly gotten these dents... bumps... I am not sure if it is from suction of the fridge. Or if there is a space behind that is not solid (I have no idea) but this ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT done by us. We take VERY good care of our stuff... My mother had a fridge that basically did this same thing over time. When I called LG they said it is cosmetic and they will not help me. I do not like the look of this obviously, so I asked them to at least give me a price on a new door. (both sides if you can see are dented. 3 dents on one door. 1 on the other just above the linear emblem) They still have not gotten back to me on this either. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE...

I have a LG LSXS26326 side by side, not even 3 years old, purchased 3/2015 from Lowes for $1600, 3 weeks ago is not cooling on either side. I called LG direct many times, always getting the runaround. I was given 2 numbers of repair services in my area. I called these numbers 2 days in a row and left messages, with no response. Every service repair company I called in my area said they are not authorized to work on LG sealed system or compressor, since they are under warranty. HomeAdvisor sent a service repair out from SC, Im in NC, 30 minutes and $75 dollars later, I was told it would cost a minimum of $500.00 in labor to fix the problem and maybe parts, since LG customer service is so hard to deal with, like I didnt already know. Repair would need to replace compressor and sealed system and blowing out lines with very expensive gas. I was told parts are still under warranty by LG Direct, but could take 7-10 days to ship out, who knows how long it would take to get them??? Ive lost hundreds in food. My repairman basically told me to go bUy a new refrigerator, he said 85% of the refrigerators they work on are LG, and recommended Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and/or Maytag as replacements. Very upset that they do not stand behind their products and their customer service has A LOT to desire. Do not buy LG unless you have money to throw away. Im a single mom and this has cut way into our budget. $1600.00 down the drain!!! We had hopes to go on vacation this year, but thanks to LG that wont be happening, having to buy another fridge in such a short period of time, has taken that out of the budget.

Should have started reading all the previous complaints... well I didnt. Then on Jan. 7, 2017 I received the LE message and the unit stopped working all together and smelling like it was on fire inside. I called the LG customer service where I was told I was out of warranty that they could sell me a one time fix for $305, this would include a technician coming out diagnosing the issue and all parts and labor. I paid for it, the first repairman came (1/13/17) he unplugged the machine, pressed start and then power for 10 seconds each, plugged it back in and told my husband it was fixed... NOT... I called back, they told me they would send a new technician. He came out on 1/16/17 and said the issue was UNDER WARRANTY (10 year warranty on motor) and the motor is SHOT. He would order the parts and come back out... when... he didnt know. Today is 1/30/17 and after speaking to the repairman who is STILL waiting to get the parts from LG... I spent ONE AND 1/2 HOUR on HOLD with LG and got NO RESPONSE... THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HELL GET THE PARTS. Im at my wits end and just want to get my $305 back and go buy a new machine. In speaking to the salesperson she spoke very highly of LG products and talked me into purchasing a model with the convection oven (LRE3061BD). In August, 2017 the fan in the oven started making a screeching noise. Since then the fan has quit completely. I called LG and they sent a new fan, motor and electric board. I have had 5 different appts for the repair company to come out and fix the oven; however, no one has ever shown up. Each time when I call customer service I get the same answer, We will have to locate a service company and they will give you a call in 48 to 72 hours to set up an appt to repair. I have taken off work 2 of these 5 times and no one showed up. When I called the service company they stated that LG told them I had cancelled the appointment. I will never purchase another LG product because they dont stand behind the product and their customer service is horrible. I work in a very culturally diversified company and I can understand dialect and accents very well; however, it is very difficult to understand the customer service representatives and they are very rude. They will not listen and talk over you. I have spoke to a Jeannie, Rodney and Donald and all of them have the same answer... I will have a service rep call you within 48 to 72 hours. I called for service when I realized my freezer/refrigerator was failing and instead of having service immediately available which could have saved my perishables, it took over a week to get repairs. The repairs consisted of an inspection, ordering of parts and finally the actual repair. Meanwhile, hundreds of dollars worth of food all had to be thrown away. The loss of food compensation based on the size of my refrigerator (24.5 cu ft) was $150. Ridiculous. One health supplement alone was $40, not to mention the custom (and very expensive) food I was storing for my dog who is slowly dying from kidney disease. This was my second LG refrigerator and it will, unfortunately be my last. The bottom line is, forget the ratings on the bells and whistles for a new refrigerator—check out how long a refrigerator actually lasted and *then* make an informed decision.

Ive had this fridge for over 3 years and it finally stopped cooling and making ice in April. LG has sent out 3 different technicians to repair it but none of them seems to know what is wrong with it. One tech said the issue was with the compressor, they ordered the part, when the tech came to install the new compressor he said there is nothing wrong with the compressor. It is the motherboard that went out. He returned to install the new motherboard and it is still not working. There is an issue with this particular fridge based on all the reviews Ive seen online. Worst worst experience ever... We had purchased inverter based refrigerator
Worst worst experience ever... We had purchased inverter based refrigerator last year around March 2014 from Vijay Sales approx 42000 rs. Since last 10 days its not working. Initially we were told that circuit is damaged and needs to be replaced and since circuit has only 1 year warranty and we bought 18 months back so we will have to pay for it. We agreed to pay which repair person told approx 1500 to 1800 rs would be the cost for new circuit. After 4 days we got a call that the circuit will not cost 1500 but it will cost approx 4000 rs since its a different circuit. So we thought of re-confirming with some outside repairing agency and now we have found that the circuit is absolutely fine. But there is problem in compressor. We are really dissatisfied and need to urgently sort the issue as soon as possible. Please pass the email to the highest authority and sort the matter in 24 hrs or we will have to go for some legal action. Not only this one. Cannot even complain on lg.com/in because after filling all details and when we send message it shows error? Pathetic company.

LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. Im very dissatisfied with the outcome of my LG range. Dont get me wrong I have been happy with the griddle cook top etc. but I am so very upset about the porcelain in the oven flaking off. This has been from not long after we got it. But I thought it originally was something that was spilled. When I wiped it off and cleaned the oven, it seemed like it was chipping but it was hard to tell with it being a small round circle. So I left it go. My oven does not get that soiled so I have not had to clean it much. Well much to my surprise when I looked in my oven to clean it, I noticed it looked like it was crackling. I took a plain wet cloth and wiped and the porcelain was wiping off like shards of glass. I called LG. They said I could pay $90 just to have someone look at it. Wonderful for something that is definitely a defect and not my fault. I have never had an appliance with porcelain ever do this before.

LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased
LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pulled out and re installed with each visit. Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I now have a new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

7 year-old LDF7810ST (with very little use until recently) gave LE code. Replaced motor & since old part was riveted shut, husband drilled it open to take a look: what a mess. This must have been a defective part from the beginning and ultimately made a terrible grinding noise like it was chewing up silverware, however, it was just the motor grinding itself into pieces. Re-assembled & still wouldnt operate. He checked wiring & voltages, only to find that the noise filter has a 120V black wire and white wire coming in one end of the filter and coming out the white wire is 120V. He cant figure out how this ran in the first place, but has anyone else noted this problem? Do we throw good money after bad & keep trying to fix this sad excuse for a dishwasher?

I purchased an LG refrigerator (LSXS26326S-00) in 2015. This year January 11 it stopped cooling. I had a repair man come out to check it. We were told it was the compressor, which would run about $550 labor and $350 for the new compressor (also $145 diagnostic fee). The compressor was ordered and the repairs were done. It was repaired on a Thursday afternoon and stopped working by Friday evening. The repair man came out again and notified us the the BRAND NEW compressor was faulty. He told us this was common with LG parts and this was part of a class action lawsuit. At the time of this review, I am still without a refrigerator and just over $1000 in the negative for repairs that did not solve my problem!! I will never purchase another LG anything!! I am very upset that with this known problem LG as a company did nothing to notify consumers who purchased these faulty models of this problem that is beyond repair. So I did go online to see if the claims were true about a class action lawsuit and they were. The last day to file a claim was February 5, 2021. I was already past that date by the time I was notified there was such a thing. I wasted time and lots money on this situation and couldve just purchased a new refrigerator. I will tell everyone I know to never by LG appliances and go through this horrible experience!!LG this is for you...Consumers like myself work really hard to make sure they purchase quality products. You are doing them a disservice by not being open and honest about your products if they have problems. A company of your magnitude should make good with consumers who purchased these FAULTY models. Reimburse them or offer them a replacement model (equivalent or greater) with at least a 10 year warranty for all the pain and frustration that your product caused!!

Ive bought front load machines in red color. It has a sensor type of thing. Anytime I wash something, it uses such a little water, I have to wash the same thing for three times. Also, dryer is the same way, it has a sensor and It stop drying the clothing before they are actually dry. I have to repeat the same cycle for dry three or more times. I set it on 55 minutes dry time, and in 10 minutes the machine stops with a signal of complete dry which is not complete. It bothers me. They werent cheap and it says less vibration and thats not true, my whole house shake from it. I wouldnt recommend to anyone! I will sell my house and make sure I dont have any LG product in my house. Very dissatisfied.

Worst product, worst customer service Ever!! Will never buy again. My fridg
Worst product, worst customer service Ever!! Will never buy again. My fridge is 3 years old. Over one week ago I woke up to water on our wood floor and our fridge all of a sudden no longer working. We called LG immediately to get it repaired and we were told that the first available appointment was over one week away. We scheduled it. I then went out and bought a brand new fridge so that my family can eat. We had to throw away a ton of food that we actually just bought the night before. Everything in our fridge was ruined. We spent the next week eating out of a mini fridge and eating out. Finally our repair date came and the REAPAIRMAN NEVER SHOWED UP! We were left again calling LG and getting no response because they were closed and have no after hours call center. I had to wake up the next morning at 6am to get on the phone to track down why my service did not take place and get so frustrated so that the repair service sent their best technician to smooth things over for LG. After multiple calls, all you get is a call center where NO ONE knows any information at all. They have to escalate through a portal to have someone call you back. I am still without a fridge. I leave on vacation tomorrow and nothing has been resolved because the technician could not fix our fridge, because the motherboard is broken on it. 3 years old! The compressor - BROKEN! The Freon - BROKEN!! A FILTER - BROKEN!!!. THE MOTHERBOARD - BROKEN. I asked the tech why, and he said LG is a BAD company, they always break. Now we have to wait for another shipment to arrive because LG couldnt get their act together in the first place. I have missed multiple days of work, purchased a new fridge. Lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars in food and condiments and purchases from around the world we had in our fridge. I am so pissed and frustrated that I cannot contain it and my head is exploding. I was told by a supervisor that my complaint was not able to processed because the tech didnt write it in the notes properly and that LG has policies. And all she kept on saying was, I understand!! DO you understand???? Do you come home every night to a fridge that is broken in your kitchen? Did you throw out trash bag after trash bag of food because your fridge suddenly stopped working? Did you miss multiple days of work so that you can sit at your house waiting for a repairman to come and never show up?? Did you go by a second fridge for your home? You understand how frustrating it is to sit on the phone for hours and repeat your story to new customer service rep who has NO POWER to do anything and then tell you at the end of it, I will escalate your request and I understand. You dont understand! LG is a terrible company, a terrible product with terrible follow through. I am still waiting for someone with authority to call me back and handle this properly and have some answers for me!! Do yourself a favor a never get an LG product. If I could rate you as a negative, I most definitely would!!!

We bought this refrigerator in 2016. It was between this and the Samsung. I liked the looks of this one and it has a great reputation. I did not like the 3 small vegetable drawers, but thought it was minor and I would get used to it. I still do not like them. Celery doesnt fit unless cut. The only really good place to store big milk jugs is in the door which is supposed to be the worst spot to store milk. Other locations would make accessing all corners awkward. But these are minor compared to the real problem. The refrigerator stopped cooling about 4 months ago. The repairman said LG was aware that the coils had been made with inferior material so replaced it for free. (Should have been recalled before I lost all the food in my freezer and refrigerator). Since, the parts were replaced the unit has been extremely noisy. I can hear the high pitched noise upstairs from the kitchen. I called the service guy to come out again. $175.00 later I was told that it is a more powerful compressor and nothing can be done about it. I may have to get rid of it because it is driving us all nuts! Its unacceptable. Refrigerators are expensive! If this is the best LG can do, I dont want anything to do with their products!

We purchased our LG LRFDS3006S refrigerator on 12/20/19 and it was delivered 12/31/19. WE had it for 2 weeks when we noticed the middle pull out shelf in freezer had bowed up and the egg bowl boxes kept getting stuck. Called into Lowes and because it was so new said to call LG. Well I called LG and they are located in the Philippines. I asked to be sent back to the USA and was told they could not. I called Lowes back and they tried to get me to a USA office, but no luck. Finally was told we had to talk to a supervisor. With Lowes on the line with me I tried to explain my situation with LG. LG rep said she would send me a video on how to close freezer, (nothing to do with my problem). Then sent me a complaint form which you can not attach a video, so sent picture. They still did not understand and asked if I had overfilled the tray. Said it is bowed up not down. Finally after an hour on phone she scheduled a service appointment but said I had to pay for it if it was not an LG issue. Told her that I was not going to pay for anything. Lowes was so nice that they were just going to replace refrigerator. Well repairman came out and said he would order me a new drawer tray, saying that the drawer tray should not bow like that. I believe it is cheap plastic used by LG. Will see if new drawer tray bows again. From now on when I purchase an appliance I will check to make sure they have a USA customer service department.

Knobs on stove disintegrate & become nonfunctional & break. This is my 3rd replacement of knobs, & I will need a 4th replacement soon. The first 2 were covered by extended warranty. The knobs when bumped, can easily, cause gas to escape. The can happen with the lightest bump, & is generally unnoticed, by individual, until the strong gas smell is evident! My communications over the years has been extremely frustrating, & unacceptable. I was told that knobs are ornamental by one employee. Another claimed it was my misuse because I left the oven door open. Once someone told me I would get replace the knobs free within a week. They never came! I finally bought new ones for about $275. The plastic overlay on what appears to be a metal knob is beginning to crackle. That means the cylinder that holds the knob on is soon to break. I bought the latest replacement knobs less than 6 months ago. It seems to me there is a sufficient case for a class action suit against LG.

After reading many customer reviews I have to chime in. We bought an LG refrigerator 10 months ago. The compressor went out had to wait two weeks for the technician to come out to tell me the compressor was out. I told them when I called, when the technician comes out have him bring a new compressor. No they have to diagnose the problem first. All you have to do is read every review out there and you will know the compressor is the problem. Which brings me to today, yesterday the technician from A&E came out to put in the compressor that was sent to my house. We went to my grandsons birthday party only to come home and find my refrigerator warmer on the inside than I was on the outside. Living without a refrigerator is a nightmare, and then not knowing if it will work after the repair is even worse. So here we sit with a large paper weight in our kitchen!!! They continued to send out defective compressors. I am now waiting another week for the repair technician to come back out to diagnose a defective compressor.Too many people are suffering because of their incompetence. We cannot let the consumers in the United States continue to be treated this way by LG. Thanks to all the people who have written their complaints online.

I am on my second LG 30.5 Cu Ft Door in Door French Door Refrigerator with Ice and water dispenser LFX31945ST. Price over 2.5k. Thank god for Best buy return and exchange policy or I would be screwed. After reviewing websites recommendation claiming this LG was the #1 rated product, I soon came to realize those rating are mostly on features and design. The reviewers do not actually keep that refrigerator in house and truly test the quality and durability of the product. So I purchased my brand new fridge - super excited. As a family of 5, I need something big and nice. During the next two week my wife kept noticing the freezer was not maintain the temperature. Give you an example: anytime you take out, ice cream, I normally had to let it sit on the counter for a minute before I was able to scope it out. With my top of the line LG Fridge I can take the container and squeeze with my bare hands. Call the LG tech, replace the motherboard. 24 hours later the whole fridge failed, all food lost. Call Best buy, I believed in the product and the review. This must of been a unique experience. Today is day 14 and the freezer still does not freeze properly, sending it back. Never ever will look at LG for anything again.

We purchased the LG1443KDS at the end of 2011. The machine vibrated so badly it would travel the length of the utility floor and destroyed the large rubber drum seal. The repair technician advised the retailer to replace the machine, that was subsequently done. The replacement washing machine has displayed the same characteristics on a number of occasions other than destroying the drum seal. The noise from this appliance is on a par to pneumatic drill being used indoors, and could quite easily injure a small child or animal when the violent motions take place, lifting it clear of where it is situated. We also contacted LG directly regarding our concerns, but were merely brushed off. Absolutely no interest in their customers or appliance aftercare. This washing machine was extremely expensive, but is the worst appliance we have ever owned. This is the first ever LG appliance and is DEFINITELY our last. Purchase junk from this manufacturer at your peril.

Seems like from the very beginning we had issues. The water filters don’t last as long as they should, the main fridge door hinge got bent (somehow)? We had a serviceman come out to inspect. He wanted 300.00$ to replace a 50$ part. No way! I ended up getting small magnets to try and pull the door gasket closed, this kinda worked at best. And now, yesterday the whole fridge cooling system died? I pulled the fridge out, cleaned the coils, hoping for the best. This did nothing. Unfortunately service calls are out almost a month. We need it fixed now!! Food is going bad. We ended up buying a new GE Profile fridge. We’ll never buy anything LG again!!!

When I went looking for a refrigerator, the one from LG looked like the better one to get because of the price. But I’m sorry that I bought it. The filter goes out almost every month that youd have to put a new one in because I had the water in the front. It’s supposed to last six months and it doesnt even last three. The shelves are smaller than I thought they were, and you can’t put anything on the doors. It doesnt even hold a bottle wide enough. It’s a lot smaller than it looks. Also, you can’t even look at them in the stores anymore. You can’t open and look at them and there’s just so much cubic foot. Not everybody knows what a cubic foot is. You just order it and they send them to you. So, you’re stuck with it. It’s ridiculous. The reps from LG were horrible. They just said yes and did nothing and then turned it over to this place in New Jersey to fix it. I constantly called them, and they were nasty. I finally got one girl in there that was very friendly and explained everything to me. She said that LG compressors were very bad and they knew about it. They just keep putting it off. I called about my refrigerator three different times, and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it until it finally died and it was only a year and a half old. It’s ridiculous because the compressor had a seven-year warranty on it. Now that they had put a new compressor in after a year and a half, they said I no longer have a warranty. That’s it. If this one goes, I will never buy another LG again.

Bought this washer in August 2014. Within 18 months, the washer started throwing constant error codes. After trying for 6 months to fix the washer using steps outlined by LG, the problem has only gotten worse. LG offered to send a repair service out to fix the washer for nearly $500, which is almost as much as the washer cost. When I mentioned that the problem seems widespread online and that LG was offering no-cost service calls to others experiencing the same problem (it appears to be a consistent and easy fix of replacing the board and stator), they refused to offer the same service and insisted the repair would include a hefty fee. I would rather spend my money on a brand that stands by its products.

Purchased this washer in March of 2011. At first this washer worked great. Then it started to vibrate a lot more than it used to early on, then it started to tell me loads were constantly UE or uneven, then it started giving an IE code. It wasnt until the IE code that we called Sears... 2 months after our expensive $170 3 year warranty. They told us the part and we ordered it... wrong part. Finally got the right part and replaced it. The machine worked ok but we still had excessive vibrations and then it started stopping on 17 minutes. Wouldnt get past that time. Now, it is stopping at 45 minutes... and it took 3 hours to get to that point. My husband called Sears after finding out our machine is recalled and they claim that our machine doesnt count. He called a different Sears number and they said to call LG because its an LG machine. He calls LG and LG says that they no longer have a relationship with Sears and we need to talk to them. We then talk to Sears and the rep says our machine is definitely recalled but we need to call the recall line (which was the 1st call that had been made). He gives us the number to the escalation department and the rep claims she cant find our account. Then she says she needs a few minutes to research it and the call is disconnected. What are we supposed to do now? There really is a recall on this machine and I think it shook so bad over time that something was damaged in the unit. Sears wont help. LG wont help. Who can help? We are just out the 800 we paid? It is just my husband and I so it isnt like this machine was even used that much. No one will help us. What do we do now?

He told us he would have to order it from South Korea (what?). Not acceptable but he could not order it in U.S. I called Sears Parts and was told they had the part and would send to us. We purchased a brand new LG stove/oven in 2014. The control panel started giving us issues about a month ago (27 January 2016). We reported the issue to LG customer service and they offered an extended warranty for about $275.00. We purchased it and their repair representative arrived at our home. He verified that this was an LG product by model and serial number, and confirmed that the stove/oven was produced in 2013. He then said that he didnt have the required parts to perform the repair, and that LG no longer makes the parts. Since then, LG wont fix their own product because we dont have the initial purchase receipt. We have been arguing with so called LG executive services ever since. Ultimately, this is an LG product, LG took our money for the extended warranty, and they are incapable of fixing their own product. Is this fraud?

I have now spoken with over 8 different people in 3 different departments and nobody in LG customer service knows how to proceed.Original Review: The compressor went out on my LG French door refrigerator. LG sent a tech to fix it, and the tech stated LG no longer makes the parts for my unit even though the compressor is still under the 10 year warranty. I have spent 3 weeks without a fridge and about 6 phone calls with LG and they are not standing behind their compressor warranty. We originally purchased our LG LRE3061BD range in September of 2017. Within a week of owning it the cooktop cracked. We called to get a replacement but being as it was a newer model the replacement tops were backordered several months. Going several months without a stove would not work as we are a house of 5 and I need to be able to feed our littles. We went out and purchased another one of the same model as all of our appliances were a matching set.Now fast forward to today and our cooktop is cracked AGAIN. There was no moment where we saw it crack. We went to the stove which was off at the time and saw the crack. I have owned several cooktops over the years and have never had the glass crack before. Now Ive had the same model crack twice in two years. I called LG and they informed me that it was no longer under warranty. They also told us that there is a recall on this particular cooktop for the burners not working properly. After hanging up and researching the replacement part I called LG back. If Im going to Shell out another 350.00 for a replacement cooktop I want the recall fixed as I dont know if this could be what is causing the glass to crack. When I call back I speak to someone else who now tells me there is no recall on this model. I dont understand how in 5 minutes there is such a drastic change in the information Im being given. I ask to speak to a supervisor and I am placed on hold. The man gets back on and says that he spoke with his supervisor and has escalated the call and a supervisor will call me back. I asked when they will be calling and he says that it will be 24-48 hours for the message to get to the supervisor and for them to call me back. I explained to him that this would not work as I either need to order a replacement now or go get yet another new stove to be able to cook for my littles. He says it takes that long for the message to get to the supervisor.I explained to him that in this day and age with email and phones it does not take 48 hours for a message to get to someone. He puts me on hold again and tells me he spoke with his supervisor again and he will review the information and call me back in a few minutes. That was almost an hour ago. We shall see if they call back and if it goes anywhere. I would not recommend purchasing this product. I believe the small triangles in the glass are playing a toll on the structural integrity of the glass. This is the only difference between the cooktops I have owned previously and the two that have now cracked. I am not hard on my appliances and it breaking twice in two years is unacceptable.
