I bought Brand New LG Refrigerator last year MAY 2018, and now its compressor goes bad on May 26th, 2019 - In one year. I have called LG numerous time. Their Tech show up with new Compressor. Goes bad again after 3 days. Tech came back again, replace compressor after a week but not cooling. Now the Tech visit 5th time as of today 07/08/2019 - NOT ABLE TO FIX THE ISSUES, 41 days pass by...So, here are my comments: Buy LG, if you dont want to be with your wife. Buy LG, if you dont want to feed your kids healthy food - almost a month I am feeding them Junk. Buy LG, If you want to listen their customer service BS and oh sorry sorry again and again. Buy LG, if you need to take off from your work just to stay with LG tech. Buy LG, if you want your whole house smell like Freon GAS while tech is on working. Buy LG, if you want to see black sticky stuff all around your house due to Tech soldering the new compressors and freezer lines. Buy LG, if you like to listen LG customer support every time saying, Sir this is our last time to trying to Fix and then will replace your unit with New one. BS Please Please. LG is a pain and worst company for home appliances. Life Sucksss.. :( They should NOT allowed to sell their products in U.S. consumers.

I purchased an LG refrigerator 7 yrs ago for $3,000 and the compressor just went out over a week ago. I was unaware of the class action lawsuit over the compressors until I started researching for reviews. According to the manufacturer, the compressor replacement is under the 10 year warranty so they will cover the replacement. However, it will cost about $1,000 for the labor and additional parts besides the compressor to be replaced. And... heres the kicker, even after its replaced the manufacturers warranty date does not reset, it continues from the date of purchase. Thus only giving me 3 more years of coverage. Not good... If the compressors are only lasting 5-7 yrs or even less, I can foresee dumping another $1,500 into the refrigerator since the manufacturers warranty would have since expired. Not good at all LG. On another note, I had to have the cooling eliminate in the freezer replaced last year and it was only 6 yrs old. We dont do anything extreme to the refrigerator, it just sits there and keeps the food cool and frozen. It doesnt make sense to pay for a high end product for it to not stand up to higher expectations. Not good LG, not good at all.

I purchased my LG Waveforce washer from Sears (thankfully it was on sale). I have the same problem as the Shannon in LA. Takes forever to wash a load, from the error codes. This started from the beginning and I called LG and every time they came out it would not duplicate. Finally after months of this and many phone calls to LG, they actually replaced it. Same thing. I just gave up and have been dealing with this washer for about 4 years now, waiting till it completely dies and I can buy a new washer. I sure do miss my old Kenmore that had a ringer in the middle. That one got my clothes clean. There is never enough water to get the clothes really clean, if and when it finishes washing which takes double time because it stops and starts over. The only setting I use is the bulky/bedding one because it uses the most water. I can never leave the house once I start a load, because it would never finish. Thankfully its only me, dont wash much and I sit near it, so I can hear when it ** up. The clothes smell moldy after washing them, and the machine is always smelly after a wash. I hate this piece of crap.

Every time I called, I got a different explanation of what I had to do to get a resolution. I basically got lied to every time I called. I got from 2 days to 15 days. Then I got, “Oh, you must submit this and that.” Every one of them that I could understand said, “Oh, sorry for your problem. Ill note that and that is all I can do.” As well as, “System is down today, sorry.” I requested a senior advisor or someone and never got anything but, “All I can do is note that, so sorry. Anything else I can do?The cost from the spoiled food I have had to throw out over the years is astronomical. The fact that I havent gotten seriously sick from the food is miraculous. Every time I had a little food that didnt taste right, I threw it out. There were so many times my ranch salad dressing tasted so sour, but I ate some and served it. But then I replaced it. I and my guests are lucky we werent poisoned, though I have had some minor stomach bouts. And now think I know why.I have suffered with a horrible refrigerator from LG for almost 5 years. I purchased an extended warranty (worthless) from Assurant. It has malfunctioned since day 1. I made a few calls early on and gave up...Due to personal circumstances recently (divorce and unemployment), I needed to have my refrigerator working for my future sustenance. So before the warranty ran out, I started on this ridiculous journey of trying to get it fixed. It has turned into a nightmare. And from what I can gather, guess I am lucky my house didnt burn down from some defect LG knew about, as well as not to be dead from food poisoning.

LG Washer WT5070CW - I have had this washer since 12/12/12. It is not worth the money. This is my third washing machine in my married life of 35+ years. I gave my son my last one when I bought this piece of junk. All the others lasted 10+ years. Always Unbalance Error. I babysit this machine constantly waiting for it to UE over and over again. The repair man for my appliances wont even look at a LG. Should have called him before my purchase. I called LG today and really received no solution other than emailing them all my information on the purchase. Considering buying another washer (NOT LG). Dont even want to give to anyone because it is junk. Will just have them haul it away.

Just move along, people, move along. Nothing to look at here... keep on moving, over to the other part of the appliance department, the area that has anything BUT LG. You have worked hard for your money, dont waste it on LGs products that offer a huge warranty on the motor, but rust out in under a year. Sure, theyre cute, they sing to you, they are curvy where your last washer/dryer was boxy... dont be deceived. In under a year this washer has gone from being the superstar of the house, to a tired shadow of its former self. The bleach dispenser rusted almost immediately and now, the appliance can only be used to wash dark clothes, ones that the rust stains will not show upon. Thats real nice, an $1,100 machine that can only do 1/3 of my wash. Maybe when I replace it - which will be very soon - the motor with its warranty can be re-purposed to drive a pottery wheel. Ultimately, it was designed for it - making everything it touches dirty instead of clean. Skip this washer, the dryer too. Go with Costco. At least there is some semblance of customer satisfaction there AND you neednt speak Tagalog to get it.

Bought LG LWS3063ST AT Best Buy / Order # **- delivered on 23th of February 23. Used first time 3 days after to discover that it does not bake properly and heating the drawer below too much (had a Frigidaire oven before with no heat of this drawer). Called the service immediately, however they were not willing to come, advised to try a couple of weeks. As the problem continued called the service again (March 15, booked an appointment for the 19th, sent the requested photos of the model and also included the picture of unbaked food. Called on 18th to confirm the date for next day, to my surprise service was not booked at all. They booked it again for the 20th and followed with the confirmation email with the phone # off the technician. I took day off and am waiting, called at noon to inquire when the tech is coming to discover that service not booked at all. Called the LG CS to be told that they did not have available technician in my area for today.

Bought a supposedly top of the line washer dryer LG Tromm set in 2006. Washer broke down, as it was out of warranty, paid for diagnostic repair from company referred by LG and was quoted more than $1000.00, so decided to buy a newer LG washer model only to find out that installers wont install as the newer models stacking kits will not match the older models. LG has a lot of discontinued products, one of them is this WM2277HS. Parts are not even available. So when one breaks down, it is not repairable, and instead of just replacing just one appliance, you have to buy both the washer and dryer even if the other one is not broken, as none of the current models will match with the older appliance, specially the stackable models. Customer service is very poor, no one seems to know anything. So I suppose, LG in a way make their products not last long enough and then will not have parts available, or repairs will cost more than a new machine.

LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts of clothes in the washer. This is the only good thing. The BAD - no matter whether you wash one thing or a giant load, it will wash and wash and wash because the load becomes uneven and it is trying to even out the load. Eventually, almost every load, you will have to stand over the load to keep re-positioning the load manually until it finishes washing. If you have time to spend at least 20 minutes watching and monitoring almost every load so you can make it even, then this washer is for you.

I like the French doors on the one we bought and the door within the door. We had it delivered then there was an installation issue and we had LG come out and fix it. Bought new washer in August 2013. I have had the repairman out twice and machine still wont spin out sheets or towels. Electronic board has been replaced but LG refused to permit the first repairman to replace other parts that he thought were defective. I have wasted 1000 dollars on a machine that wont spin. I wish I had my 15 year old Whirlpool back. I bought the machine from Home Depot and they refuse to do anything until the original year warranty is out. Sent out another repairman today and after 5 minutes of self diagnostics, he says nothing is wrong with the washer. (This was from running an empty washer.) Is there anything else I can do?

Poor service, poor reliability, and dreary repair network available. It’s a problem appliance.

LG French Door refrigerator - I hope this review will provide you with enough information to stay FAR AWAY from LG. I purchased this refrigerator in May, 2013. In early September 2017 the compressor died. Until LG determined that there was NO qualified installer in the Phoenix area, they made a one time arrangement with an independent contractor to install the new compressor. Five weeks later the replacement died and we have been arguing with LG customer service to have a new compressor installed. This has been going on for about a week. Two weeks ago I had knee replacement surgery and I am to ice it quite frequently. It take a freezer to do that. My wife has to keep going to the market to buy ice for me. LG does not give a damn about anything. They will offer no compensation for food lost, we asked LG to replace the refrigerator and they just laughed it off. As of today we still do not know when this will be repaired. What a disgrace!

LG model no. WT4870CW dropped off this morning brand new. After delivery, delivery guy set up and did the programmed test run. This checks if water is supplied, if it vibrates excessively or drains. All looked fine until I did a small load of laundry which came out unclean. Then on second try, I noticed tub basin filled up all the way to the top and agitator didnt work properly. I even made comment that it was so quiet...well when agitator is not doing its job, its super quiet. After trying different cycles and settings and after motor started to smell like it was burning rubber, I called home depot. The sales man gave me a lesson in how much detergent to put in, reasons why clothes arent getting clean, and told me to unplug it, wait 3 minutes, then try again. After explaining Im 30 and know how to do laundry, I explained again about water filling up in wash cycle and agitator not working. He said he would call LG and have a new one out to us IN A WEEK. After already waiting a week and half for first new washer, still blows my mind when a sales person does not apologize for the inconvenience or broken machine THEY sold.Im under no impression LG will stop making worthless machines for a ton of money, but listen up all the peeps in customer service, KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. SAY YOURE SORRY. DONT MAKE EXCUSES OR GET DEFENSIVE. Does the machine not working say something about you? Or is it your ego that needs to blame the customer by default? Some customers are rude but others are just like you trying to do their best to figure out a solution to the small and big obstacles they face. If you cant at least say sorry or be respectful...think about finding another job that fits you better. LG fail and Home Depot fail. Pretty disappointed.

Bought the washer all expecting a long lasting machine - 3 years into the proud ownership - the rear tub bearings went bad, I called over 25 people who work on washers. Found 4 that worked on LG, the bearing in the rear of the tub is worn out - don’t sound too bad, can’t get the parts - can’t get the tub rear assy either. So here I sit with a washer ornament in my basement out $2200 in the washer with the stands and no parts are available! This is a ripoff! The company should be made to repair these washers for this money. This is serious funds out. Not to mention the repair to this is $390 for the rear tub assy and the labor of $400. Almost $900 in this washer!

For years my Whirlpool washer produced a really bad smell, but customer service denied everything. Finally the front loader flooded my house creating over $50k in damages... We moved on to LG products (EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE IS LG). Hmmm!!! Stove top, had to be exchanged within days. Fridge in the process of exchanging (full refund after almost 5 yrs). Washer was bad from the very first week but they always denied everything in regards to why it continuously goes out of balance. MY water bill went up 4X because of this out of balance issue. They refuse to do anything about it, but its not over!!!I will continue to post how bad their customer service and appliances are, until they at least replace or repair it... The spin cycle is violent and shakes the house so bad it sounds like it will explode. Customer service did not want to hear it from the very start. Lowes where we purchased the unit refer me back to LG and LG referred back to Lowes. Just a game they play to stall everything. Customer service is horrible, they only have one line “Sorry we can’t help with that”. They refuse to accept they have a really bad design and it can cause harm!!! Unless they replace or repair my unit, I will never ever buy another LG product again...

Do NOT buy any NEW Washing machine with a Load Sensor! It senses the weight
Do NOT buy any NEW Washing machine with a Load Sensor! It senses the weight of the load and determines what amount of water to add to wash the clothes. Since the Government has to be involved with every aspect of our lives to save energy & conserve water, this device is crap! There is never enough water to wash the clothes and the clothes do NOT come clean. This mandate has sent us back to the early 1900s way of doing laundry with an old wash tub, scrub board & old soap that actually cleans the clothes!!! I cant afford to buy new clothes every month & refuse to wear dirty clothes! Only way around it.... Luckily I have a wash sink next to my washer. As I put clothes into the tub, I run the faucet hose over to the washer & wet the clothes as I put them in the washer. This creates a heavy load & as the sensor weighs the load, it is heavier and adds the right amount of water to wash the clothes!!! I have a glass lid so I can stand there & watch the water level. Unbelievable that the Government tells the Manufacturers how to build a washer with devices we dont need or want!!! Doing laundry for over 45 years, I am bright enough to know a small, medium or large load and able to determine my own water level for the appropriate washing cycle. If you dont have a wash sink, you will have to wash your clothes TWICE! So much for saving water. What morons we have running the United States of America!!

Going off all hours of the night. I have called Lowe’s to get nothing but a runaround, called LG numerous times, one service man showed up and never returned. The next appliance repair man notified me and cancelled due to LG not paying service providers for their work. On top of when I call LG, I am placed on hold for over an hour every single phone call and never make any lead way. I actually filed a claim the beginning of November 2018 and just a few days ago they tried to say my warrant had expired. I am irate and feel with all the complaints I have read on here, the company should be shut down by consumer service. How ridiculous to take advantage of consumers. Also, their extended warranty is just like throwing money into a fire. So useless! I have never been so upset over a purchase of any appliance like I am today with LG. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I ever shop at Lowe’s again! Less than one year old and no one will stand good for this “Lemon” of a refrigerator. I hope these people that treat others so bad get what they deserve after leaving this earth. Some of us work hard, do the right thing, and get walked on by shysters like LG. Very, very sad! I teach children to make the right choices in life. How upsetting to have to deal with inconsiderate businesses like LG. I really feel for the people that work for them. I would be embarrassed to admit that I worked for a business like LG. If you can’t afford to stand good for your products, you should just quit building junk!!! It’s a big rip off! LG is JUNK! They will never get my business again. BEWARE of THEIR LEMON PRODUCTS!

LG is more reliable and durable than many other brands and offers me what I want. It has met my initial expectations but Im hoping for more in the future in all honesty. I like that there are premium capabilities that allow me to have different set ups and it makes me excited to be able to use the refrigerator everyday. I would want the refrigerator to be used well and have an ice machine that is quality. Some other brands may be a little bit more aesthetically attractive though in a sense.

Washer does not get clothing clean. Washer does not fill the tub with enough water. The water does not even cover the clothing. The sensors are worthless. Cycles takes much longer to complete, yet clothing is not clean compared to my previous cheap agitator washer. I called the help desk and they told me it was a problem with the washer. For larger loads in the dryer, I sometimes have to do 3 one hour cycles.

After a week and a half of dancing with technicians and various customer support people, we now find our LG refrigerator cannot be fixed. We purchased an LG LFC25770SG on the last day of December 2008 and took delivery in January 2009. Three years and four months later, the compressor has died. When we first discovered the problem, we were shocked the warranty was only for a year. However, some parts are covered for seven years and our compressor is one of them (partial warranty as part is covered but service is not). I could give you the blow-by-blow description of the frustrating customer support calls, three service technician visits, multiple incorrect part deliveries, and going into the Memorial Day Weekend (a traditional barbecue weekend for us) with no refrigerator, no solution to the problem and no sense of urgency by LG in correcting the situation. Our model requires a compressor that is no longer available (even though it is covered by warranty). Of course, if you go online and look for the part, you find it listed (even on LGs sites) with various prices. On many sites, it lists a replacement part for the compressor, but LG said this model requires the original compressor and that there are no substitutes. Unfortunately, they apparently have not notified the parts industry or their factory-authorized repair technicians. Even the LG technician they sent out today (We had been dealing with Sears Home Repair.) thought the replacement part was a suitable sub and was trying to figure out how to install the replacement part. Only after I insisted he interrupt his call to listen to me did he hear me say we have talked to LG twice and that they said there is no substitution for this part. Sears parts distribution has sent us the same part in an expedited shipment twice. Guess Ill tell them since LG hasnt, now we are waiting for LG management to contact us for a solution to our problem undoubtedly next week. That will make a full two weeks without our refrigerator with no concern for the food lost, inconvenience, customer dissatisfaction, repair call costs, or even product quality. I expect their solution will be unsatisfactory (a replacement unit with no warranty, a depreciated value refund, or credit toward a new model, etc). None of these will be satisfactory, as I will accept nothing less than a suitable replacement with the full warranty or refund of our purchase price. I suspect this may be the beginning of litigation. I would like to think LG would be concerned enough about their brand and their product quality that they would want to do the right thing to make us whole. However, our experience so far and the complaints Ive read here do not project a favorable outcome.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

I bought my LG Dishwasher March 2018, within one month the bottom rack which folds the fingers down for large pots, snapped and broke. It took 6 phone calls and 2 months to get a replacement. I was shipped 2 racks which tells you how disorganized they are. Currently I now have a dishwasher which has NO POWER! It is January 2019, so I called and they set up a service call for next week. I just received a follow up call from an LG representative asking me all the same questions that were asked when I called in. I was so frustrated with her as I asked why they are calling me again with questions that were already asked? She then said, Thank you. Have a nice day. Good grief! So fingers crossed this wont take months to get fixed!

Almost one year ago I bought an LG wave force washer and matching LG clothes dryer from Lowes. I have had no problems with the dryer, but the washing machine has been a great disappointment. I have operated the machine according to the information given in the owners manual, and yet I have two serious complaints. One, the machine stinks like rotten eggs. Two, the machine leaves a dirty residue (which looks like crushed rotten leaves) on my laundered clothes. It has ruined some of my clothes so I am having to wash by hand.

Fridge section still not working, freezer worked for about 6 days then started not freezing. Repair shop has ordered more parts to replace parts already replaced. Talked with AIG, Best Buy and LG, no help. Im ready to go buy new refrigerator and I will never buy another LG product or buy from Best Buy again. Dont know how these companies stay in business with poor customer service. I understand ordering parts but over 2 months without fridge is ridiculous.

I will avoid all LG products like the plague from now on! My smart top loading washer (recommended by Consumer Reports at the time) repeatedly gave the UE error. I called LG Customer Service for solutions to the problem. Their recommendation was to add/remove clothing to balance the load. Thats all the advice they had to offer. (Im sorry that I didnt have more dirty clothing to wash at that time. Apparently, they expected me to pull clean clothes out of my closet to balance the load!) When I operated the washer with no clothing in the machine, I realized the problem was with the washer - not my loading technique. After my water bill TRIPLED because of the huge amount of water used to attempt to balance the loads, I requested a service call. The technician informed me that the problem was due to a KNOWN software issue and all that was needed to fix the problem was a software update. I have no issue with this. What I do have an issue with is that LG Electronics failed to form consumers of this simple fix! Apparently, LG Electronics doesnt care about consumers- they just like to sell products. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!

I would like to think it just a faulty microwave but our brand new LG refrigerator has leaked twice and caused thousands of dollars of damage to our neighbor below our condo. $850 and started having issues within 1 week this front load dryer (LG DLGX4371W). It has an option for bulk and advertises all these bells and whistle options but my old Whirlpool 13 year old dryer worked better I must say. Keep in mind I had professional install for the unit and vent and the problem is the unit, well maybe only mine? The dryer accumulates lint at the bottom of the lint bay eventually not allowing it be caught on the screen it comes with. This lint clogging at the bottom is a hazard and can cause fire. Even though the machine has sensors which may stop the unit before a fire thank God, but its brand new...why should I be dealing with this as it seems to me to be a DEFECT. Now I have to check the bottom of the lint bay and use a special connection to my vacuum to ensure its not clogging up and shutting off during every dry cycle which costs me time and headaches as a father with a family. I purchased the new technology to try and get help and make my life easier but I ended up with a headache now. Wish I went with Electrolux as the reviews lead me to but the PC Richards man was so adamant and strong with opinion on LG being the best...this is not the case for me. Over and out and good luck to all with this unit.

A couple months go by and I start to notice rust spots on my clothes so I called back this time. I was told there was a recall and they would fix that first then look into the rust problem. Repairman comes and just like everyone else did not fix the unbalance problem. I insisted on him taking pictures of the now very rusty bleach dispenser. After many calls, they finally agreed to fix. I have been reasonably satisfied with the refrigerator itself. The icemaker is not all that great but that seems to be a common characteristic in most residential refrigerator/freezers with an icemaker. I had the refrigerator approximately two years and the compressor started going out intermittently. It took a week or so for a technician to come and look at it but they did come and look at it and seemed to fix it, although they did not replace the compressor at that time (which is a problem that LG knows about ).Six months later (May of this year) it completely went out on us. And this happened two days before our vacation. It took them ultimately three weeks to come and fix the refrigerator and my children were at home with no refrigerator. We lost approximately $500 in food, with a inadequate food reimbursement of $150. That felt a little bit like a slap in the face after all the problems we had gone through to get the refrigerator repaired. We went through three different technician appointments and the local repair company was both unresponsive and incompetent. When LG was contacted directly, they promised to help but offered no real help in getting our refrigerator repaired sooner. I own several different LG products and I certainly will do more research and be more careful about buying LG products in the future, no longer just taking for granted That their products are of the quality that I would normally expect from LG.

Last Friday, I came home with a car-full of groceries only to find that something was wrong with my LG model LFX31925ST. Retrieving my owner’s manual to call for help on my 18-month old fridge deemed fruitless. After being on the phone with what seemed to be an outsourced customer service department for over 30 minutes, the only help I received was My policy says I cant do anything,” which when translated meant I was out of luck. That cool feature where you can link your smart phone for a diagnostic check is only good for the first year. I was told he could schedule a serviceman to come out to check the codes on the door panel for a beginning fee of $89.00. I said I was unable to afford it and hung up. My son went online and looked up the error codes, which this rep refused to tell me what they meant and was not listed in the manual. After further online research, I was able to figure out what I could do and 24 hours later, it was back to working. It was the icemaker fan, which appears to be a flaw in these fridges. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I researched different products 2 years ago when I discovered that my husband was planning on leaving me. I insisted on what I thought was top of the line appliances in the kitchen. So I now have a fridge I cant rely on, a dishwasher that doesnt clean dishes no matter what soap or rinse agent I use and an oven that works but it is a good thing I dont cook much. I am disabled and on a fixed income, so I was hoping that my new kitchen would last me 10-15 years but may get less than 5 at this rate. Dont go by reviews on their website since they only use certain reviews.

My LG refrigerator was purchased less than 5 years ago and it’s now non-operational. On 6/29/2013, everything was fine. About 12 noon, and returning from our weekly grocery shopping, we discovered that the lighting in the refrigerator was no longer working. We then noticed moisture all around the top of the doors and upon further checking, discovered the refrigerator was no longer working. It is over 80 humid degrees outside and a Saturday. It is our belief that the circuit board needs to be replaced. There were no signs whatsoever that something might be going wrong. We bought a brand new LG refrigerator sometime around February 2011 for a second house that we visit once or twice a month. It wasnt a top of the line unit and ran about $800. When it was delivered and hooked up, it worked fine and continued to do so until August 2011 (it was about 6 months old) when it apparently quit working with a full freezer and a semi full fridge. We dont know exactly how long the unit was off but when we walked in the house, it smelled like someone had died! The smell was awful and it took an entire day to clean it up. We had trouble getting the smell out and the ice maker wouldnt work so we called LG and they sent a repair person out. The repair person replaced the ice maker, the motherboard and took the entire freezer apart to clean it and we found bugs behind the liner. He cleaned it completely and the smell was still bad so he had me use Lysol (LGs recommendation), bleach, baking soda, charcoal, newspaper but nothing would work. We left to come home and it was empty. We hoped it would smell better when we came the next time which was this past weekend for New Years. The smell was still horrible and we called LG. They said we had to have the repair person back out and he came back and said that the smell was from the bugs decomposing and he couldnt get it out. He called LG to tell them this and they said basically Good luck. We called LG and they said they couldnt help us. We asked to speak to that persons manager and we were connected to Amber, the executive service manager. Amber told us that according to the warranty, we were supposed to empty and turn off the fridge when we leave it unattended to go on vacation. Who does this? Im 53 years old and have owned numerous refrigerators over the years and have never had to empty and turn one off to go on vacation and never has this been a problem. She told us that they would do nothing to help us. When we asked to speak to her superior, she told us that she didnt have one that she was the highest power we could go to. At the end of the day, we got zero help from Amber, the super power woman and will never purchase another LG product. My advice is to either stay away from this company or read the entire warranty before you purchase.

Three door LG fridge. 3 1/2 years old and broke down 6 times. Frequent canceled repair calls and many no call no shows. Have to pay labor, LG only covers parts that must be ordered, 7 days out. Who still takes that long to order anything. Then another repair call to install the parts, and another charge. Once again, you are lucky if it lasts more than a day or two. 6 months is good. The repair men discover two tears in the rubber gasket that were caused by metal clips below that had 1) sharp edges and 2) placed too near the gasket. Over the year of use, the tears occurred and dripped onto the thermistor. It was a manufacturing/quality issue, even supported by the repair man and discussed with their technician at LG who agreed and took notes. LG refused to pay for the repair because it was outside the warranty period. They were disrespectful on the phone and emailing exchange kept sticking to company line of outside the warranty period. Good companies stick by their workmanship. I believe they can make good machines. Mine was a lemon and they couldnt care less.

LG does not live up to the warranties they promise. My $2K French Door refrigerator stopped working 8/24/18. I have been calling them since that date to get it fixed. They give you a total runaround and try to get service fees out of you for problems they create. They are a totally inept irresponsible product company and I only wish Id known what a joke their products and associated warranties are when I spent my hard earned $2K on the crappy refrigerator which broke in 7 years and was suppose to be warrantied for 10 years. THEY ARE AWFUL - STEER CLEAR!!

The refrigerator stopped working. The motor ran constantly to the point the back lower panel where it is located became overheated. Lost everything there was in the refrigerator and freezer. Have gone without one for over a week. Contacted LG who said they couldnt get someone out to look at it for about 2 weeks. LG said that the limited warranty for certain parts that was for 7 years after we received the unit would not be honored since we did not have a receipt. We never received a receipt since the Home Depot gave us a store credit. We had other things updated prior to getting the credit. The Home Depot put in new Silestone countertops. It took 3 times for them to come back and put the counter on properly. Silestone felt bad for us and told us to get any of their countertops, so we picked out a different color that happened to be their most expensive. Silestone also told us we could have any edging we wanted, no matter what the cost, so we updated our edging to one of the most expensive. Silestone had no problem with any of this. Then we had Home Depot replace on of our bathroom floors. The installer put the floor in just fine, but also broke our toilet and told us sorry and left. We had to go and buy a new toilet ourselves and install it. Home Depot finally paid for the replacement and labor of the new toilet. I called Home Depots corporate office who gave us a store credit of $1500. We used that money to buy the LG French Door refrigerator. Needless to say 4 years later it broke down. I called Home Depot for them to send us a copy of the store credit that was used for the refrigerator. They were not able to find it in the system since I did not know the exact date of purchase. No receipt or paperwork were given to us. Now the contractor for LG will not honor the 7-year limited warranty and we will have to pay for parts and labor to fix the unit. Prior to getting this LG unit, we had a side-by-side GE Profile fridge. It was about 8 years old when it started to give us minor problems, but it still worked. We got the LG fridge since we had this credit and wanted a French Door Fridge without the water and ice like the GE one had. We never expected this LG unit to have such serious problems at only 4 years old. Very disappointed with this issue. If the service call costs too much, this Fridge will be going and we will go with another manufacturer. LG will never be a company we do service with again. Home Depot will also never have our business again with all the problems we have had with the major updates to our house we purchased from them.

I purchased my LG dishwasher on april 11, 2015. I did not purchase an extended warranty as LG was supposed to be a high end appliance company and felt the product would not require service right away. However, I was wrong. One week after my 1 year purchase date, the dishwasher had an oe error code flashing one morning, which I did not know what that meant. So I continue to use it and instead of running at night while sleeping I decided to run before we went to bed. The dishwasher when first starting had a loud grinding noise, which sounded like it was trying to take off and start flying.I went online to find that this is a problem with the dishwasher and the company does not back their warranty. I started a chat at 8:38 to resolve the issue and remained on the chat until 10:52, with no resolution. I then called the company direct. Spoke with a rep and a supervisor, both of which informed me my dishwasher had no warranty. Only after I had to contact Sears, get a duplicate receipt, upload it to them and they reviewed it. Since I got a discount on my dishwasher due to the door having had swirl marks on the front it voided any extended warranty. Therefore, I like many others will have to pay a serviceman to come repair my dishwasher that I purchased just over a year ago. I would tell anyone looking for any type of appliance. Do not buy LG anything!!! Their customer service is awful and their warranty is ridiculous.Update 5/13/16: I received from LG names and numbers of authorized repairman in our area. Called their repairman, was told by them Oh, maam, you are not in my service area. So, therefore, I have no one to service my dishwasher.

I have a washing machine that is 3 years old that needed a repair covered under the 7-year warranty. Because I cannot find my receipt after 3 years, you will not honor the warranty, even though the serial number shows its not close to 7 years. Because its a premium product, a receipt is required. I spent $1,000 on a premium machine that LG will not honor warranty on due to a 10-cent piece of paper. This is not how you treat your customers who purchase premium products. And premium products should not break after 3 years.

Ive had my LG double oven gas range for two years. In that amount of time, we have had countless accidental turn-ons of the burners. We would be putting away dishes and smell propane...whoops, somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be preparing a salad and whoops...somebody bumped the knobs. Wed be walking by with laundry on the way past to the laundry room and whoops...somebody bumped the knob. Final straw, my son was cooking with his girlfriend making dinner for us all. She reached into a cabinet near the stove and bumped the burner knob. The front burner turned on and nearly caught her shirt on fire, right in front of me. This is ** ridiculous! Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. Upon returning from work this evening the refrigerator was 62 degrees, more ruined food. Called LG, said they had other complaints of the same. Offered to schedule a repairman for me. I think I need a Lemon Crusher.

We got an LGLMX25964ST/02 refrigerator 7.5 years ago. Last week water started leaking from the ice dispenser door. Two days after that my wife called to say that all the food in the freezer part had defrosted. When I got home I pulled the fridge away from the wall and checked the fan and compressor, they seemed to be running fine. I called LG and I was told the fridge is out of warranty and diagnostic would be $185 plus parts and labor! I am still trying to figure out what to do, fix the 7 year old one or buy a new one, from what Ive been reading its not going to be an LG. I have a 26 year old Amana refrigerator at my rental still going strong.

Purchased the Gas Range from Home Depot June, 2009. The knobs to turn the gas on/off are very loose and make it difficult to adjust gas. It is not only an inconvenience but also a safety hazard. On a few occasions, I found the gas still on when I know I had turned it off after cooking. Called their customer service dept. Mine is not one of the models that CS is allowed to send replacement parts to. To purchase knobs online would cost over $63/ea. Unit has been maintained very well. One user. No children in the home. Life of this appliance is very short compared to other stoves I have had. Neither Home Deport nor LG seem to care one bit.

I purchased an LG refrigerator with a pull-out freezer in 2016. I have purchased a lot of LG products and been fairly satisfied until now. At the beginning of the Global Pandemic the compressor on the fridge broke. I waited several weeks for someone to repair it. I had just done a fairly extensive grocery shop because we were headed into lockdown. I lost a lot of food and it was impossible to even purchase a small bar fridge or freezer - everything was out of stock. LGs customer service was horrible. They call you back in 3-5 business days with an appointment for a technician to come fix it. And you are waiting another week or more for that appointment - all with no fridge! I think I was 3 weeks without a working fridge. The fridge did get fixed but the technician didn’t protect my hardwood floors so I have about a dozen floorboards that got damaged and it took about a year to get that resolved. Well here we are Friday, Dec 17, 2021, and the compressor is shot again! I speak to their customer service and someone will call me back in 3-5 business days to book me a technician to fix it. Unreal. This will be the 3 rd compressor in a fridge not even 10 years old. I do not recommend LG. This LG fridge is complete garbage. In an age where we need to be mindful of adding more crap to our landfills, I think LG (and any other company that produces garbage products) should be held accountable ie a fine, for producing such crappy products. I did some research when the first compressor died and there are lots of people in my shoes. Buyer beware. And their customer service is worse! I will never ever buy LG again.

This is a letter I sent to the President and CEO of the Co. I am writing in regards to a repair problem Im having with my LG refrigerator model #LFX31025ST. At the beginning of May 2017 I noticed that it was not cooling properly and making a strange sound. Within a few days the temperature was well above normal range 45 degrees plus and continued to rise in the both the refrigerator and freezer. At that point I made a call to LG, (May 8) and was told my extended warranty was expired but I was still covered with my manufacturer warranty for the compressor. I then purchased a warranty from Assurance as suggested by LG customer service for the cost of $358. Had an appointment set up, then waited 16 days for the first appt. The first technician that came out said it was the condenser and he needed to order a part. (Service date May 19.) The second tech came out on (service date June 5) to install condenser and said the compressor was bad as well and that apparently the first tech missed it. He then proceeded to order parts but never bothered to call when they came in, until I called 4 or 5 times to inquire. My next service date was on June 21. Repairs made, but still did not cool! He also made a total of 3 cuts to my new kitchen floor which I have pictures of and never mentioned it to us! We didnt notice until the Authorized LG Tech saw upon pulling out the fridge for the 3rd repair. Our next service date was June 27, but the tech was a no-show. Called LG and they apologized and said it was their fault for not confirming. At that time I was set up for another appt. on July 5. When they didnt show again I was told by LG that when they called G&A Appliance (the co. that had been servicing us) G&A stated there was nothing more they could do. I still dont understand why they would make me wait another 8 days before saying something. So LG set me up with a Authorized Service Tech who came out on July 19. He examined the fridge and found the subsequent work to be inferior and not complete. More parts needed to be ordered and installed.Next repair date July 25, work was done, system seemed to be cooling before tech left. Was advised not to put anything in it for a couple days just to be sure. Over the next 48 hrs the fridge got down to a temp of 45 but no lower and the freezer got to 20 but no lower. Called LG back to sched. tech to come back out and was told there was no openings. I asked to speak with a supervisor and got a nice woman named Brenda, who said she was putting me on a anytime/anyday timeframe. She was also marking it as a reclaim.Waited 6 days and never heard from anyone so called back on Aug 2 and spoke to Jewel who said I was on the sched. for Aug 8. Well Aug 8th arrived and no service tech!!! Called and spoke to Jason this time and was told I needed to sched. my appt. through Assurant because my original warranty was up. Well my compressor is warrantied for 10 yrs so no, my warranty is not up and the repairs thus far have not worked. Well I complied and called Assurant and was told they have no available appointments... Really?? He said to call back in a few days to see if theres an opening. I have never heard of such a thing. So in summary Ive been without my refrigerator for over 3 months with apparently no fix in sight. Spent countless hours, yes HOURS on the phone explaining my problem and setting up appts. I bought my LG refrigerator only 5 yrs ago along with a stove, microwave, and dishwasher all LG. The fact that the fridge had a 10 yr compressor warranty was a big part of our decision to purchase, not mention the roomy interior as opposed to other manufacturers models and the excellent LED lighting! At this time Im asking for a replacement or refund of this product which you have been unable to repair under the warranty. I feel that I have been more than patient in this matter. I really cant continue to live out of a cooler. I appreciate you taking the time to read my email, I look forward to speaking with someone to resolve this matter.

When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. The solution was difficult but easy: I bought a new $1200 LG WT7600KKA yesterday from Best Buys in Louisville, KY. Giving our current front load to charity.

Within the first month, the stove started to smell like it had a gas leak. We called their repairman and he couldnt find anything. We kept smelling gas and called him back and he still couldnt find the problem. We had to turn off the gas after each use because we felt leaving it on was such a hazard. We have a LG graveyard started, its just a matter of time before the rest of the appliances end up there.

My LG French Door, Two Drawer Freezer-On-Bottom LMX25964ST/02 - Purchased in 2011. This unit has had numerous technical calls due to icemaker not working (replaced x2), compressor replacement (replaced x2), a clog in the copper line that the tech said is quite frequent for this unit. I have thrown our SO, SO much spoiled food and have suffered water damage on my hardwood flooring. The LG Customer Service is Terrible! The Philippine call center people keep saying I am so sorry for your trouble! and the Alabama center of supposed managers are beyond rude! Jessica actually told me that I could take it or leave it when I was trying to determine if it was even worth having yet another LG factory service tech come! Put on hold forever and Jessica just sounded bored with all I had to say. Well, now I will say it, loud and clear, do not purchase LG! This is an inferior product and should have been recalled! They know it is not working. They know the icemaker, compressor and sealed system are faulty and they are in it to get yet another $375 out of the consumer with only a 90 day guarantee!! I had the service tech and at 92 days, it was gone again!! No ice!! I can live without the ice, but rotten food is a terrible waste and the mess of a leaking, hot freezer with bloody water across my beautiful floors is disgusting! Was the best deal available at the time and was highly recommended by salesman. Love the brand and would buy again as it has many features you dont necessarily get elsewhere. Highly reliable products. I like the ice maker and filtered water system. Also like that I can move the shelves around to maximize and customize the space in the refrigerator. I also like the meat drawer and produce drawers. They are spacious enough to hold adequate products. But the freezer is too small, would like less shelving etc to give more space; maybe move the freezer to the bottom instead of side by side if it could be configured correctly and I could see and retrieve product easily.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator in October 2016. It is a French door with dual ice makers. We did love it but like so many others... our compressor broke and our food was ruined. No small expense. Because there is such a demand for replacement compressors I was told there was a back order on them and it took 10 days to get it fixed. Additionally, we cannot get the right fruit/vegetable bin (when facing the refrigerator) out to clean it without breaking it. The gentleman who repaired did get it out and broke it in the process. If anyone would care to shed light on this I would greatly appreciate it. I did read the manual and when you follow the directions, it jams against the door. Also, there in a clear plastic easy access door inside the main french door that catches and pulls open each time you open the main door. Our solution to this was to tape it shut. Lastly, the handle has a button to push to open to access milk and other beverages and apparently it is painted plastic not stainless steel like the rest of the handle because the paint wore off the first year... Looks pretty bad for a high end fridge.

We purchased this washer approximately 4 years ago. It just doesnt work and hasnt since we owned it. You constantly get an error code on the machine when washing. Cannot get through a complete cycle without an error. Had LG recommend repair service (All American Appliance Repair, Daytona, FL) and replaced motherboard for $250 this time. Forty-five days later, doing same thing each time we use it. Called All American and LG back to have it fixed again. All American says motherboard was only warrantied for 30 days but LG says its warrantied for 90 days. Cant get straight answer from either party. Never been so frustrated with an appliance and dont understand how we can let companies sell a product with a known defect without a recall to fix. If you google you will see the same issues. Purchased unit new approx. 15 months ago; one of the benefits of this unit was the high-speed tub helping to dry clothes-- reducing dryer loads. While in use with only a queen-sized mattress pad the tub broke away from drive unit during spin cycle and sent the unit literally bouncing-off the 2 nearest walls (destroying drywall). The unit top and rear panels were separated from the body, and the body walls were expanded (rounded outward). The unit wouldnt fit through door frame. This could present potential safety issue!!! I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

After returning home from a 4 day trip my wife and I noticed that our frozen food was thawing out on our freezer. I checked our temperature settings to make sure that they were correct and watched to see if maybe our freezer was going through a defrost cycle. It wasn’t and the next day we had to remove our food to another refrigerator that we have so the food didn’t spoil. I contacted LG support and set up an appointment for service which was several days later. The technician came out and diagnosed a bad compressor and coils which he replaced. It took a couple of days before the ice maker even started to make ice again and thought that was strange but everything in the freezer froze so we thought we were good. After about 3 weeks we noticed that everything was thawing again and I contacted the technician directly and told him what was happening. He came out again and checked my unit and found a pinhole that caused the Freon to leak out. He repaired it and all was well until about a week ago we noticed that our ice cream was turning into milkshakes so I called the technician again and he came out and checked our refrigerator and told my wife that there was nothing wrong with it according to what his computer readouts said. By the next morning the frozen food in the freezer was thawed out and we had a large puddle of water on the floor from the upper ice maker thawing out and the water from the ice running all over the floor. I sent the technician a text and he told me that there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call customer support and file for a new repair order because he said he couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I sent him the pics I have attached and he said that ambient air temps won’t give correct readings to which I responded that the temp readings were off the walls of the refrigerator and freezer compartments. No response back on that comment.I have a different LG technician scheduled to come out tomorrow to evaluate our situation and hopefully he can fix it or get us replacement refrigerator because this one apparently defective. By the way, the refrigerator that we have had to move our food into is a GE Profile that we have had for over 15 years and have never had an issue with.

That was covered by the warranty even though we lost the $200 worth of food. A couple of months later, the fridge breaks again. The tech comes through days later. Food is spoiled. Lose $150. By this time I am using their extended warranty. The extended warranty has the worst service ever. It is an outsourced service where they read off a script and punch in numbers and information into a computer. They CANNOT help you in any way except waste your time.A couple months ago, same problem. Tech comes out and fixes it. It breaks days later and comes out three days later even though we bought food again. We have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. Now, it has broken again! Same problem, not cooling, ice melting, and waiting for tech who will come in two days. Food will spoil again. Do not buy LG. Worst service and even worst product. I will buy Kenmore and call it a day. This has been a recurring nightmare. DO NOT BUY no matter what the deal is. Not worth it!

My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. I replaced the fresh air filter at 6 months to see if that would help, and it knocked the odor back for a few days, but then the odor just came back. Now, I have a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless. Do not buy this refrigerator.

I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. Now, I will have to call a repair man, stay at home all day to wait for him to come look at it, order a part and then when it comes in, I will have to stay home all day to wait for him to come back and fix it. I am so sick of spending my energy on this dryer.

Unsure when I purchased this pair of LG Front Load Washer n Dryer. Today we find the machine will not spin out water. Rerun the cycle. Still not spun dry at all. On the third run through.... we get an error message of OE - meaning the water will not spin out - genius took 3 cycles to tell me what we knew. Will call tomorrow. HATE this washer early on the mold issue the mold covered the dispensing interior. CS was no help, I had to deal with this myself. The ugly MOLD smell is horrible. Now I have discovered an itchy??? All over my body...

I purchased this range in April, 2017 when the contractor that was installing flooring damaged my Whirlpool range that I had and dearly loved. In speaking to the salesperson she spoke very highly of LG products and talked me into purchasing a model with the convection oven (LRE3061BD). In August, 2017 the fan in the oven started making a screeching noise. Since then the fan has quit completely. I called LG and they sent a new fan, motor and electric board. I have had 5 different appts for the repair company to come out and fix the oven; however, no one has ever shown up. Each time when I call customer service I get the same answer, We will have to locate a service company and they will give you a call in 48 to 72 hours to set up an appt to repair. I have taken off work 2 of these 5 times and no one showed up. When I called the service company they stated that LG told them I had cancelled the appointment. I will never purchase another LG product because they dont stand behind the product and their customer service is horrible. I work in a very culturally diversified company and I can understand dialect and accents very well; however, it is very difficult to understand the customer service representatives and they are very rude. They will not listen and talk over you. I have spoke to a Jeannie, Rodney and Donald and all of them have the same answer... I will have a service rep call you within 48 to 72 hours. Im just hoping that my annual Thanksgiving dinner for my 16 guests turns out decent, if not it may be Pizza Hut!!!

My wife and I lodged a complaint about my new, under-warranty washing machine on 5-10-12 until 11-10-12. There were no actions or calls from LG. I call the customer support phone number daily to remind them. This is a third class LG after-sales service. I request all readers not to buy any LG products. I didnt know what to do, so I decided to move to consumer forum and set LG right with the law.
