WM4270H and DLEX4070. Cleaner clothes than the horrible Maytag Neptune/dryer is done before next load in washer. Units are 4 years old. Very quiet operation. Wanted a dryer with a steam fresh option which this LG does have. Washer does not wear out clothes as previous Maytag unit. Regular repairs and quality of construction, very important to me. Unit still looks brand new after 4 years of use and not the first problem with units. I had nice shirts that were stained with grease. Previous unit did not remove those stains so used shirts for the lawn. Used the sanitary cycle on the LG washer with no change in detergents and stains were removed. I am assuming this is due to the LG heating up the water that dissolve the grease.

We purchased an LG LMXS27626 in August 2016. It’s a nice fridge and worked well for our needs. Last year we had some minor issues but last week (May 2020) it stopped cooling completely. Annoying but we figured no problem. We will get it it repaired. We have since learned the mess we are in. We called every repair service in the area all of whom told us they do not work on the linear compressor. They helped us understand that it is a unique system that only LG service providers can fix. No problem we thought! At least it’s under warranty. Then we called them. Before I even hung up the phone with LG customer service I received the following email: LGs Authorized Service providers in your area are not showing availability at this time. We are urgently reaching out to other service providers to request their first available slot so that you can be supported as quickly as possible. You will be notified when an appointment is confirmed. If 7 days has passed from the date of this notice and you have not been scheduled for an appointment, please contact LG and we will escalate your case.I then took it upon myself to look at the LG website and called the 2 listed service providers in our area. They both stated they are no longer completing LG warranty services. Unsure of where to turn, we called Orville’s where we purchased the fridge. They gave us a phone number for who they said is the only LG employee who completes these repairs in our area. We called him and he was kind and helpful but he is unable to complete the repair unless LG sends the request. (We wondered why they hadn’t.) He double checked and never received anything pertaining to our issue. Good news is he has availability later this week and said he would be happy to do this but we must call back LG.I called & they told me that if we give him our Reference number that he will be able to set it up. We call back the tech/LG employee who says that is NOT true. I called back again and tried to tell them that we have an LG employee who is ready & willing to complete our repair this week but need them to set it up. They sounded surprised and after some back and forth on hold said they weren’t allowed to do this.Ok so what is the next step? I was told that LG is reaching out the an alternative service provider and will let us know when they get something on the schedule. Couldn’t get a company or any clear idea of what would be done. I asked when we might hear something and it was unclear but there wasn’t even anyone available to talk more with until Monday! So it’s 90 degrees and we don’t have a refrigerator. This is the only website that I have seen LG respond to. I will survive but honestly there are other customers who can’t access the same resources and it is concerning to read that we are one of SO MANY that go through this. This is clearly a widespread issue and LG’s lack of response so far will cause me to shop other brands in the future and also warn others of these problems. It’s not so much the fact that the appliance failed, it’s that it’s impossible to get it fixed in a timely manner. LG needs to find a solution and get some sort of procedure in place. I am hopeful this review will trigger a response & resolution.

We purchased our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and have had two problems with it. A year ago, the valve controlling the drinking water ceased working and it cost us over $200 for the repair from Freds Appliance in Madison, Ohio. A month ago, we noticed a mushroom type growth near the base of the refrigerator and discovered that the water line feeding the drinking water and icemaker had a slit in it and was spraying water on the floor. The flooring is ruined and the repairs, not including the fridge, exceed $1,300. Freds denies any responsibility with the problem even though they are the only ones that have moved the fridge since it was initially installed. In conclusion, the purchase of your product was a terrible mistake and we have difficulty understanding how a company can ignore problems like this.

Bought LG DISHWASHER LDT9965BD in Nov/2016. We have a laminate floor in our kitchen. Didnt realize the dishwasher was leaking until the Pergo floor panels started curling up at the seams in front of the washer. The service man said our sump assembly seal was leaking from inside the washer. The dripping was unnoticed because the water was flowing under the laminate panels and soaking into the padding underneath. I have had many less expensive dishwashers in my life and never had a leak not even a drip. This was the most expensive dishwasher LG had at the time of purchase. Waiting to see if LG backs up the damage that was caused.

We purchased this dryer less than a year ago at Lowes. Since purchasing this new dryer, I have to run all loads on a minimum of 2 cycles to dry, mostly with towels and not huge loads but maybe 10 towels I usually have to run through 4 dry settings to get them dry enough which is ridiculous. This is why we replaced our old Samsung dryer. Gonna be replacing our washing machine soon, and after this complete waste of a dryer purchase, we will definitely be looking at other avenues and brands for our washing machine upgrade. I have 2 college students and one middle school and 3 people working in my house and dont have time to wait 3 hours for dry clothes. Do not recommend this product as a dryer for anyone.

We have paid for 7 visits to have the door seals replaced since we bought the thing in 2006. At $110 dollars a pop and repair costs amounting to $180 each trip, we could have bought a new fridge. The shelving runners are really cheap plastic and break if you look at them so our drawers are tilted. I will never ever buy another LG. The parts are extortionate to replace and hard to get. The model of the fridge/freezer is LRFC22750sw. We are so disgusted with this abomination we will likely never buy anything LG again including TVs.

We have been owners of LG appliances for over a decade. We bought them all
We have been owners of LG appliances for over a decade. We bought them all washer, dryer fridge and dishwasher. We have had problems with several them for which we have received no appropriate support. First it was the washer or all the writing came off the front within 3 months. I was told there was nothing they could do. They couldnt send me new letters to reapply. Oh well too bad. We moved on. Then there was a dishwasher conveniently right after the one-year warranty we had a problem and had to pay $250 for service call for which the gentleman was here for a mere few minutes to fix the problem that most likely could have been fixed over the phone with direction, not costing us $250.Then just 14 months after this we end up getting a pinhole in the drain hose of our dishwasher which floods our sons basement bedroom. Causing numerous panels of our ceiling to be damaged and need replacement not to mention the wood floor below it that is lifting. All these are problems associated with a faulty dishwasher. When we call to report this problem we were told we had to buy a new hose mechanism and that would solve all of our problems. So sorry about the other damage to your home, not our responsibility. So we paid the almost $100 for a new hose, waited a week for it to be sent to us and we had it replaced. Then we come to find out; Oh so sorry your dishwasher must be reset by a specialist. Yep you got it. Another $250 will be necessary to get your dishwasher Ive only a few years back up and running. If the first rep had told us that then the hose would have been covered in the service call.So we are expected to spend $600 on a dishwasher that cost us 800 within a few years. Not acceptable. We ask to speak to a manager. After holding for almost a half an hour we get told a manager will call us back. We are third in line. That was last week. It is now Tuesday and we are still waiting for a return call. I will never again never purchased any LG products whatsoever. I will also share my opinion for these products openly and freely as I am doing with you. I have worked in a manufacturing environment for many decades. What I can tell you is no manufacturer is 100% perfect. But, what shows a great manufacturer is what they do after a problem is brought to their attention. It is apparent LG doesnt care after you spend your hard-earned money on a product of theirs. They will ignore you, push you away and not care whether you buy another Appliance or not because they are of the false impression that we will forget about this and spend our hard-earned money on another one of their faulty products. That will not be the case at least with us. So I warned you check in to the manufacturer and how they deal with customer service complaints before you spend your hard-earned money on anything of any manufacturer but especially LG.

Shortly after having purchased my stove at a price tag of $1500.00, the control panel went. I replaced it on my dime. The oven emits heat so intense the paint is discolored and peeling near the vent from the oven. The other day I turned the oven on to preheat and went into another room when I heard a horrid noise from the kitchen. I returned to see smoke pouring from the oven and the breaker on my electric panel had popped (fortunately). All lights were flashing and I have not been able to contact LG service lines to report this and inquire into what on earth happened. I will never buy LG again as there are no service people in our city who will touch it. The one company who will service this product put the control panel in upside down when I replaced it and I had to have them make another house call to fix the mess. They are supposed to be trained LG service people. YEAH! I am still sitting here without a stove because I cannot connect with LG. They do not put you on hold, but via a recording tell you they are all busy and to call back. Click! GOODBYE LG...

It is not my overall first choice and I prefer other brands over it. I have not owned an LG in a long time. It met my initial expectations but I was not overly impressed or surprised but how well it performed, etc. It was very large and made of stainless steel and had wired shelving inside with different compartments for veggies and fruit and an attached freezer on top. I did not like the wired shelving units and the handles on both the top and bottom were easily unattachable which made opening and closing it difficult. I also did not like the color but that is more for aesthetic purposes.

I have the LG model WM2140CW washer and dryer for about 2 years. I have cleaned the gasket, inside of the tub, and door on the washing machine as directed by the manufacturer and run bleach through the tub clean cycle and still cannot get rid of the moldy smell. When cleaning the gasket, I noticed mold and mildew on the gasket and have cleaned them with modified bleach and even used Q-tips to remove the mold, it just comes back. Even after you wipe the gaskets off after each wash, you cannot get all of the mold out of the gaskets and this transfers to your clothes, sometimes needing to be rewashed 2 or 3 times. I keep the door open for ventilation but there is no way for the gasket area to stay completely dry. The smell is so bad at times you have to close the laundry room door to keep it from reeking into the rest of the house. I am calling for service this week but I know what they are going to tell me which is exactly what I have been doing. I would not recommend this LG set to anyone. I plan on going back to a top loading washer just to get the smell out of my house and clothes. As far as the dryer, I have to run it 2 to 3 times just to get clothes dry. Avoid LG at all costs.

We purchased our refrigerator a little over three years ago. The compressor just went. We lost everything in both the fridge and the freezer. All the ice in the ice maker melted and leaked all over the floor. I called the LG number found the manual. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The refrigerator “specialist” asked me find the model number and serial number. The place he told me to look was incorrect. He became impatient with me and told me he could only give me three minutes. Three minutes... I found the information (not where he told me to look) and he then gave me the names and numbers of two local appliance repair businesses. When I called one of the numbers I was asked for a PIN # from LG. Apparently the “specialist” was supposed to have given me one because the fridge parts are still under warranty. Now I had to find the receipt for when we purchased the refrigerator. This all happened two days before we were leaving for vacation. So obviously the refrigerator won’t be fixed until after we get back. I’m extremely disappointed with this LG product. I can’t imagine ever buying another LG product. I will certainly be warning friends and family.

I think the LG refrigerator, and the brand is high quality, readily available and also presented value. I think the brand is close to whats considered as luxury at a price that doesnt represent luxury. I think its a great, everyday appliance for families and single people such as myself. Stays up to date. Id personally leave what I had as is. If Im the brand Id stay that way as well. If they want to be with Meile and Viking, maybe up the luxury and modernize the look ever so sightless and charge a higher price. For me, the brand is pretty much ideal. I chose LG because I thought it was a good choice to be in the middle of tiers that include Frigidaire and some and the top which includes Viking and a few. I think the brand presents excellent value, overall.

On March 28, 2015 our LG front load machine was run on the tub clean cycle. It overfilled with water and the door seal failed. Water poured out of the machine and it just kept on filling. Water damaged several rooms in our home. We handled the emergency by shutting off the water supply. Hooking up shop vacs to the drain hose to empty the water in the machine. Shop vacs were filled many times over to clean up the floors and empty the machine. Commercial Dehumidifiers, floor dryers and fans were brought in to try and save the wood and tile floors, cabinetry and personal things. Water bubbled out of the wood floors in our new home.We contacted our retailer, Grand Appliance in Madison Wisconsin and they said they will file a claim with LG, but that LG doesnt typically cover both replacing the defective machine and repairing the damages caused. I will report back when we have something in writing from LG, but we are not happy that they havent responded yet and even more unhappy that the retailer cannot assure us the manufacturer will make this right.

I purchased my LG #LTCS20220S in Feb. 2015. From the start I had some difficulty with the temp. settings and still do. However, I noticed when I close the refrigerator door that the freezer door pops open. Initially thought this might be causing fluctuations in the freezer because of all the freezer burn Ive been getting on my foods. (The temp. setting is at the lowest setting). It took me a long time to find the correct refrigerator temp setting so food does not spoil. At the lowest freezer setting I am still getting freezer burn on everything that goes in the freezer, including stuff that I repackage in freezer bags or containers (at the advice of LG service rep). What this means is I cannot buy food at the grocery store, like meat, in its original packaging, and just put it in the freezer. In a week, the freezer burns is starting to show up. Ive never had this before with any refrigerator/freezer I have ever owned and Im 64! I have called LG customer service many times. They have sent 2 different service techs out to my house. Everyone tells me nothing can be done, its the design. LG tells me the service techs have to say UNIT IS UNREPAIRABLE before they can file a claim and help me. Its all about the wording used on the service from so beware of that. IF the service tech leaves your house make sure he marks its Unrepairable or nothing will happen! I am going in circles with LG. I am throwing food out like crazy. I am so fed up with this issue that I want to just put this thing out on the curb with a free sign on it! I am still in limbo on this and waiting for a call back which I may never get. Its just not worth it. Nobody at LG is going to be on your side. They make me feel like its my fault! I cant imagine the President of LG repackaging his food before he puts it in his freezer EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like I am doing! Do yourself a favor and support the small appliance store where the customer counts. This is ridiculous and quite a waste of time and money. If I get good service, Ill re-write this review. But as of today, I am not.

I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I have been through. We bought the refrigerator in 2007 and have probably had Sears out to work on it at least 12 times. We kept paying for the repair agreement because it became obvious very quickly that it was a LEMON! We have had the motor go out once and lost all the food in it. They have replaced the side of the door with the dispenser on it once...the motherboard 7 times. We lost all the food in it again a few months ago. Today was the third time in three weeks they have come out and arent sure what the problem is. It just stops running and you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. LG always tells the technician to replace something on it and it never works. Today they said to put on another door & a new power cord. We have stopped storing meat in the freezer because we are afraid the refrigerator will break down again and we will lose it all. We store it in the 30 year old refrigerator in our basement that has never had to be worked on! We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator and could have bought at least one more with all the money we have paid in repair agreements. There should be no question that we should get a new refrigerator. But they dont want to do that because now its old! They spend more money fixing this than they would giving us a replacement. It makes no sense at all! If you are looking for a new refrigerator I suggest you steer clear of LG. I wont own anything again with LG on it!

Our LG fridge is about 5 years old and it has died. I can understand that things can go wrong but the customer service at LG is terrible. They are extremely rude! We have had to take two days off work and it still isnt fixed. We were told the freon leaked out and the company had to address this problem. We spoke to several people at customer service and they were nasty. We have been without a fridge for two weeks and there is no end in sight. We are starting from scratch and have to be home between 10-2 tomorrow for a second service person to come out. They arent going to fix it! Just look at it! So we will likely have to take a third day off work if we are lucky enough to get anyone out to actually fix it. My husband was just recently diagnosed with cancer. The tumor is causing lots of pain. Ice packs help a bit but of course we have no way to keep them cold. This has been a real hardship! I would never buy another LG product. LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator for 5 years and what a waste of money it has been. The ice crisper drawers are cheaply made and fall off their track on a weekly basis. This problem began happening within a year of use. In the last year (so 4 years of use), our interior light bulb malfunctioned and melted its own plastic casing, our ice maker has broken and had to be replaced, and our water line (the one that runs the ice and water of the refrigerator) has sprung 2 separate pinhole leaks. Those leaks have caused water damage to our kitchen floor as well as the wall behind the refrigerator. All of the problems have been fixed at our expense. Not only that, we have had to use the LG service repairman to come out and fix our model. We have not been able to use our own repair service. I will never buy an LG product again!

We purchased a side-by-side model. When they delivered the refrigerator, it would not square up; it looked crooked. They said it worked fine and could not take it back. When we noticed it was bulging from the sides and was wider in the middle, that sort of looked like a problem. The drawers would not stay in the grooves. When we called, they said they would get back with us, which they never did. The refrigerator was bought in 2008. Then the water valve for the ice maker went bad. I called to buy a replacement part, but they no longer make that part. So Im out of luck with a $2100 refrigerator that has no ice maker. When I contacted them I had been told that LG will send a person to review the issue. But the repair person showed up from Total Global (sub Contracted by LG) and advised that compressor is the issue and not repairable. Since we paid for new fridge I dont want repairing by changing new compressor and requested a new fridge as replacement. There were no follow up calls or update. Not to mention the glide server drawer stopped sliding, it seems like the cheap plastic wheel broke off. Well they came out to service motor, but said ice maker was not part the warranty! They replaced the motor, but two years later the unit stopped cooling and freezing. Guess what?? The motor stopped. I called for the same issue. They want charge for service $400. I had the product for only 5 years and already is giving out like its 20 years old. What makes it worst is they dont stand by their product. Dont be fooled by their 10-year warranty. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. Is there a way to get this repaired without having to do a repair again in the near future?

I bought an LG dryer two years ago. Model DLEX3570W. I have no problems with the dryer doing what its supposed to do -- dry my damn clothes. It does that job just fine. But after every load, I have to use a wet paper towel to wipe off the rubber gasket on the door because lint collects on it. This is a total pain in the butt and it isnt normal dryer behavior. So today I called the customer service number and spoke with a gentleman (very difficult to understand) who told me that this is normal and there is nothing I can do about it. Huh? Really? Dont buy this product.

We purchased an LG front load washer and dryer and they both work fairly well. However, the front of the washing machine is rusting! Yes rusting, right by the soap dispenser. It sounds ridiculous that after 4 years the machine is rusting, but worse than that was the companys response. LG does not care. They act like they care, they tell you they care, they express their sorrow, but they wont fix the issue. They do absolutely nothing! They expressed to me that I must continually dry that area. In the manual it tells you to keep it dry! Not that the design is bad, not that the dish should not leak, but that by not constantly drying that area it could rust! I asked if they ever heard of this happening and they said no. Then I searched online and found out, that was not the case. This is absolutely a problem! A $1,000 problem. Supposedly a reputable company but what a piece of garbage! My last LG experience for sure!

Someone came to my house and said that he doesnt fix that this LG machine anymore. He called someone else that came a week later. Also didnt solved the problem. I have 5 years warranty. I dont know what to do. I cant close the dryer door. It keeps working non stop but takes 10 hours to dry a load.

I have not had any of the mechanical problems others on this site have described. I actually love this french door, bottom freezer unit. BUT several months after we got it the surface starting peeling on various corners. Near the handles, on the sides. We have kept it to a minimum by being very, very careful, but it is unsightly. Not sure what we can do about it.

3 hrs + to finish a normal wash cycle. Soap dispenser not emptying properly. Not enough water in drum to clean clothes. Sometimes the clothes have dry spots on them. I bought a new LG dryer, September 24, 2020, from my local best buy. I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty. Fast forward to beginning of march 2021: my new dryer stopped working, gave me an error code. Because it was just over 5 months after purchase, i had to file a claim with lg. So, i call the lg warranty phone number and was told that there werent any technicians in my area that could service my dryer and they would look at third party techs. 4 months pass and finally someone comes out in June, 2021. He states that LG dryers have ongoing issues with their thermal fuses. He didnt have the right part with him and said he had to order it and would call to set an appointment when the part came in. About a week had passed and I called the technician, I was told the part was on backorder but i had a date of repair, July 17 2021. Tech showed up for the appointment and He replaced the fuse and the dryer worked again. 13 days later on July 30 2021, my dryer stopped working again and I received the same error code.I called the warranty department back and was told that they would contact me in 10 business days, as they had to look for someone to service the dryer. 10 days passed and they never called, after about a month, i called them. I was told that they were having a hard time trying to find someone to come out to fix their appliance. I asked them if they could send the last tech back out. The rep agreed and stated I would be called back. No one called. So I called again, this time I was told that my dryer was a lemon and i needed to wait for a phone call from another department, and was guaranteed i would hear from someone in 3 days. Another weeks passed and I called again, now each time I call, I am given a ticket number, I was told this time that nothing could be done. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there were none on staff, and then was told that they couldnt patch me through to someone else... After about and hour of this crap I was told the supervisor would call me back, again. No call ( surprise surprise). I keep trying to get through to someone at LG, still having no luck and its now passing the 1 year manufacturer warranty and my time is running out to have this thing fixed, again.Lg just kept giving me one shit poor excuse after another and finally i gave up when i wad told youre outside of the 12 month manufacturer warranty, theres nothing we can do, maam . So, I called Best Buy. I explained the situation and all the bs i was going through with LG and the rep told me that LG has been having a lot of issues and they would take care of me. That was September 2021. No one has come out. My dryer is still broken.I took it upon myself and contacted the original technician and asked if he could come back out to replace the fuse again. He was able to put a repair ticket in with LG because my appliance broke a few months before the 12 month warranty ended. He came out toward the end of October 2021. He checked the fuse, because the error code the dryer was showing indicated it was the fuse, again. It wasnt, the fuse was fine. Turns out, according to the tech, I need a new wire harness and maybe a new computer? He wasnt sure, so he was placing an order for both and would call with an appointment. Its now December and the technician hasnt been back, after multiple phone calls I was finally told that the parts needed were on backorder and he wasnt sure when they would be in.I called Best Buy again today and explained the situation, again, and was told when ordering parts the company has so much time to fill the order, after that date has passed we (Best Buy) consider the appliance a total loss and she was going to transfer us to another department to get it all sorted. New department said that the technician has to come out and put it in his/her notes that it can not be fixed or is not worth fixing. Then and only then can the dryer be considered a total loss, and then they will replace my dryer with a new one.. another LG. I explained, in the nicest way possible, I do not want another LG appliance. I bought this one brand new just over a year ago, Ive been able to use it maybe 6 months total. I have had nothing but issues with the dryer and the companys customer service. I have 4 children ( ages 15, 6,3 and 2),we need a working dryer. We need something reliable. I would much rather have them take this junk out of my house and refund my money. It has been called a lemon many times, not only by best buy reps but also 2 reps that work for LG. Its a massive inconvenience to have to bring laundry to a laundromat everyday to have it dried.. I get 27 minutes of drying time for $1.50. Because I am potty training 2 toddlers, have 2 in school and my partner is an ironworker, we do a lot of wash. I spend between $10 and $15 every 2 days at the laundromat and about $20-$30 a week in gas to go back and forth to the laundromat. Thats A LOT of money to be dishing out because LG doesnt stand by their products. Money that could have gone on a couple new appliances, bills etc. She, the CSR, said she was transferring me to the lemon claims department. The man I spoke to basically told me that unless i file a civil claim against the company and a technician says that I have a faulty dryer, the only thing they ( best buy) can do is replace my dryer with a used LG dryer of comparable value. Which this dryer now isnt worth a damn thing. I am so annoyed with LG. Im annoyed at the fact that i spent almost a grand on something that LG says would last 10-15 YEARS. it didnt even last 6 months! Now i have to waste more time on monday calling LG, best buy and the technician and ask them to email or snail mail me all the paperwork and notes for the last year, so i can bring it all to my attorney. I have had enough of that company and their appliances. I will never purchase another product with the LG logo.

I purchased what appeared to be an attractive French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy for over $2,000. After less than 2 years, all the door bins are cracked and about to literally fall off the doors. In addition, the freezer tray drawer is deteriorating and plastic pieces are breaking off and falling onto the food in the freezer drawer below. The drawer almost doesnt work now. We also purchased an extended warranty (Geek Squad) for another $249 but when I called them, they said that these items are not covered, because they do not affect the refrigerators ability to cool! I have more than 35 years in the plastics industry and know for a fact that these parts are failing because of a combination of poor product design and poor material selection. Its too bad I didnt read this blog before I purchased an LG refrigerator, and I strongly warn against buying their products. And I will never again purchase a Geek Squad warranty (who subcontracts their appliance claims to N.E.W.).

In 2012 we purchased an LG French Door refrigerator - the most expensive fridge weve ever had - to update our kitchen appliances. In 2013, the freezer section malfunctioned, food defrosted. Since we had the extended warranty, the freezer problem was repaired, but we still had the loss of food. Several months later, we discovered the food in the refrigerator section was freezing. After trying to adjust the temp according to the manual, we called the warranty insurance & since we have the gadget that is supposed to diagnose the problem, allow parts to come with the service person, had this done. Of course he had to order parts. White refrigerator, a black gasket arrived. More parts ordered. Weeks later, same problem. 2nd technician said 1st repair was not done properly, so more parts. More food loss each time. In March 2014, same problem with food freezing in fridge section. We have been waiting 3 weeks for proper parts (again, wrong color gasket seal sent - so another wait). Also yellow discolorations all over the white door, and neither LG nor the warranty insurance will cover this, as its considered cosmetic. So our nearly $3000 refrigerator is the worst appliance weve ever owned. Have complained to LG, nothing resolved. Can you say LEMON? Needless to say, when warranty coverage is over, appliance will be replaced and NOT with an LG!

I have been without a LG refrigerator that is less than a year old for going on over a month and a half! LG Warranty is a joke in the Bluffton/Hilton Head, SC area for repair people. I am on my 2nd repair referral from LG and they too are no shows when appointments have been made, confirmed, and still not shown up. LG is not respected by industry repair people and I can see why. I am at the point that they can come pick up my refrigerator and REFUND my money! HOW WOULD THEY LIKE TO LIVE OUT OF A COOLER? We too were not informed by Home Depot that they didnt have repair people in the area when we were sold this refrigerator by Home Depot and when we went back to Home Depot were informed that we would have to deal with LG Warranty Division! DISGUSTING THAT LG GET AWAY WITH THIS IN THE USA!

LG HE takes less time to dry clothes. Uses less hot water. I like the front-loading washer and dryer better than top-loading ones. They were somewhat on the expensive side, but worth it. LG has an innovative motor that will last longer because theres less motion involved. I like the pedestals as well. Ive had absolutely NO problems with either the washer or the dryer, and no missing socks! Mine are full-size side-by-side units. There are many cycle options for each: water temperature for wash and rinse, type of material, intensity of spin cycle; the dryer allows for both timed and sensor drying.

I bought model LFXS30726 for 2700 dollars 12 months and 2 weeks ago. Originally I was happy with it. It quit working last week. LG customer service said it was out of warranty and suggested a repair service not located anywhere in my state. I called a reputable local repair person who stated all their refrigerators are causing terrible repair needs and that the company will not assist them because they are not authorized repair service. As I said, there are NO authorized repair services in my state. I had to pay 300 dollars on my new expensive fridge and untold inconveniences only to call him back the next day because it stopped working again. Needed to replace the fan and then the computer board. This is such a piece of junk! I called LG to complain and all I got was a person who could not speak English intelligibly located in the Philippines. He refused to give me a person to call in the US. I will never get another LG product!

Updated on 02/16/2021: My Husband and I bought a new home 4 years ago and we decided on all new LG appliances, LG Black stainless steel. We bought a LG Refrigerator, LG Microwave, LG Dishwasher and a LG Built in Oven (Double Range). So this past year we noticed Grooves on the oven Door and in the past 6 months they have started to Peel and Rust. We have started to noticed Paint chips in our food. Well, LG agreed to send out a company to see the damage and then they had the Audacity to say that I caused the damage to my own Product. I have never cleaned the oven other than the self cleaning mode. I do not even use anything other than Norwex in my Home. Its their way of sweeping it under the Rug. BLAME THE CONSUMER.Im 62 yrs old and they BLAMED ME AND MY HUSBAND to my FACE. All they had to do was change out the Door, but, yet, they didnt, instead they insulted us to our face. Would you really support such a COMPANY???? I have never in my Life been so frustrated with a Purchase that was made in good Faith. Now every time we use the oven to cook for our Kids and Grandkids, am I poisoning our Family???? We cant just go get a new oven on our Retirement, is this Company, LG, worth Purchasing From, Id be very aware in case something goes wrong with your appliance. Is it worth be stuck with a defective product as we are and no-one is there to back up your $$$$ Purchase? Give it thought before you buy LG Appliances.Original Review: I dont understand how a companys defective workmanship is under a one-year warranty, it has nothing to do with its normal use. My oven has a Monster in it, clawing to get out, I have the enamel chipping off, deep grooves that are now rusting, the oven is 4yrs old and expensive and Im unable to use it for fear of being poisoned. Please has anyone else had this issue or know of a class action in regards to the defect? I just may be the 1st. On LGs website there are others whove had this issue also. Should I contact them???? Im at a loss here.... Any Help would be appreciated.

I purchased an LG refrigerator double door, bottom freezer ice maker and its non working after only 6 months and have called repeatedly for service... its under warranty. They first sent someone out that doesnt even work on refrigerators and now going into week 3 saying they will call in 2 business days to schedule. And the more I called its now 3 to 5 business days just to get an appointment set which hasnt happened yet! Ive thrown out hundreds of dollars in food! I never have bought LG in the past. Always stuck with Samsung and I should have not ever switched brands... lesson learned. I feel like since they cant get a service person out here a full replacement should be in order and when I said I DID want to do a survey I was never given that call. When I told the man on the phone I wanted to make a complaint... he said, Maam other than it not working what do you need to complain about? And did not send me to another extension to even do that or take a formal complaint himself. What the heck is with this company. I will NEVER buy this brand again in any product...

Worst and Cheating Service from LG. Issue Started from Deepavali. I had complained regarding TV service before 40 to 50 days but still, the status is the same.My TV Model No. LG-LED/42LA6620 got a problem as the TV was not turning ON, regarding this I had complained and an executive told that they will come and diagnose the issue. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. And after struggling a lot we didnt get any help from LG but we at the receiver end have to get our TV repaired and took that TV personally and went to the other city that is Hospet from Gangavathi for getting it serviced. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

Purchased a LG electric range, dishwasher and refrigerator and microwave. My wife and I decided this would be a present for both of us for our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided to get the top of the line stove with the convection stove, black glass top self cleaning range. The oven was blue inside and all the appliances were stainless steel. Within a few months we used the self cleaning feature on the oven and afterwards, the stove digital display showed an error and nothing worked. We called and after a several weeks, we had a service person come and repair the oven. It seemed that an electrical component had burned out. We again after a month or so used the self clean feature and once again display showed an error and once again waited for a repair. The second repairman told it this the same electrical component had burned out. He informed us that it was an LG design flaw which vented the 500 plus degree cleaning temperature vented partially on the circuit board burning it out. He said to avoid this, to not use the self cleaning feature. So this top of the line self cleaning oven had to be hand scraped clean. We have now noticed that the outer door on the oven is starting to fall off. The inner door is in place and the only thing holding the outer door on right now is the handle. Why of course we are out of warranty and now do we pay outrageous service call fees and parts or let it fall the rest of the way apart and trash it? The refrigerator shelves are flimsy and several have cracks and it takes, if you dont use it, approximately 4 days for the ice bin to fill. Its too bad that you can spend a great deal of money on a product and have problems with it several months after making the purchase. My wife is a Real Estate Broker and will make sure no new or homeowners needing appliance to steer clear of LG products.

We move a lot and this is our 4th LG Washer and Dryer set. However the new machines, neither fill properly with water or agitate like the older models and therefore clothes, towels, sheets do not come clean. We were told by LG to use the permanent press cycle as it uses the most water. In addition, select prewash, extra rinse and heavy duty (for amount of soil). All this take over 1.5 hours. It does use a bit more water and clothing is much cleaner but not 100%. All our whites have slowly greyed after using this washer for 6 months. Yes they can advertise that they use less water but they sure cannot advertise that the washer does its job.

We bought our 4 door LG refrigerator in 2015 when we remodeled our home. It is by far the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. Weve had the compressor fail and replaced early on, then the ice maker was replaced, then one of the glass doors cracked, and now the compressor has failed again. In both cases when the compressors failed, we have had to throw away the entire fridge full of food, which is very expensive for us. I understand that the technology in newer refrigerators may be more sensitive, and life expectancy may be less than what they used to be, but this has been an inexcusable experience with a very expensive appliance.

We have had a LG DLEX3001W Ultra Capacity Dryer and a WM3001HWA Ultra Washe
We have had a LG DLEX3001W Ultra Capacity Dryer and a WM3001HWA Ultra Washer for the past 4 years. Unlike the Wash Machine which is another story the Dryer has been a pretty decent appliance overall. We have although have had one consistent annoying issue that we have been experiencing and it is clothes being wet or very damp after a drying cycle. We did the normal cleaning of the lint filter and what we could visibly clean out of the lint filter cavity. Eventually this method of cleaning was no longer fixing the problem. I will note that we have a very short vent run to the outside which is always checked and is clean. So what we did was remove the lint screen and then took our vacuum cleaner with a small crevice attachment and cleaned out the lower lint cavity. We then reversed our vacuum hose to the blow side and placed the attachment into the lint cavity and wrapped it with a towel to prevent air leakage and then proceeded to blow air into the lint cavity. To our surprise there was quite a bit of lint that was forced through to the outside vent that we could not see in the lint cavity. From what we can figure it appears lint can become stuck along the exit path in the dryer and needs to be forced out. Once we cleaned out the lint cavity to the outside drying returned to normal. Hope this helps and prevents an unnecessary repair call and charges. It would be nice if Lg would add some information on this issue through their website to assist consumers.

Range I purchased from Warner Stellian is a 5 burner gas range model number
Range I purchased from Warner Stellian is a 5 burner gas range model number LRG3091SW/03. I would not recommend purchasing this particular unit. While I am satisfied with the oven, the stove top is a problem. The unit is less than 2 years old. There are 3 issues. The burners on the stove present a safety issue. If you set a smaller pan on the front burners the pan easily tips and hot liquid spills onto you, the floor or any person (thinking children here!) that happens to be standing at the stove. See image. The 5 knobs for the stove top have all cracked. See image. The oven control panel is electronic. The covering has cracked and is now cracked almost all the way up. See image. The range is normally used once or twice a day for a family of 2 which I consider less than normal range. I contacted the LG company and their reply was basically, Thats too bad since the 1 year warranty is over but you can pay to have it fixed (paraphrased but you get the idea). No mention of the safety issue I reported. I should have contacted the company within the 1 year since these issues started within the first year but I didnt however, I have owned multiple ranges over the years (with much more usage when our family was 5 people) and those have easily lasted 5-10 years without issues. Dont purchase this range!

It has met my expectations. The price was decent. I really liked the look of the fridge inside and out. The size of the refrigerator was just what I needed at the time. I like the stainless steel exterior of the unit. I like the available space inside. It is quiet when it operates. It is easy to clean an looks great in my kitchen. The only negative comment I would have is that the temperature seems to fluctuate a little bit sometimes. Sometimes the food in the freezer is rock hard and some times a little soft esp. The ice cream.

Food reimbursement never showed up over a month since request sent in as early as 4/1/19. Had to call on 5/20/19 and got another case number and told me I should have received an email in 48 hours. Now it is over 72 hours. Horrible experience! No more LG products for my family.

I bought an LG refrigerator in 2013 and the warranty for the compressor was 10 years. In 2017 it stopped working and we spent over $700 and 5 months trying to repair it. After 4 months of the repairs it stopped working again and LG wanted to charge again for repairs and never offered to replace the unit. The appliance was a piece of junk and LG was not willing to offer a viable solution. It was a waste of money, time and food! I will never buy another LG appliance again. Terrible service!

This microwave has a 10 year warranty on the inverter. I’ve had this microwave for less than two years and the inverter has stopped working. I contacted LG and was given three LG approved companies to contact for the warranty work. Each company told me the labor cost would be more than the microwave was worth. I contacted LG again and was told there was nothing they could do, and I should buy a new microwave at my own cost. I purchased this microwave because of the advertised warranty. Given that labor costs likely always exceed the purchase price of the microwave, this warranty is designed to be unusable. What a scam.

I reported a range/oven from the time the oven was turned on. The staff at LG that takes complaints and concerns told me to send pictures of the warped oven. However, several attempts to get some type of follow through and repair was unsuccessful. The oven condition showed that it had been defective when the range was manufactured. Gus from LG did not return phone calls after the pictures were sent by mail and then faxed. To this date, I have not heard anything back from the company. This incident will determine what purchases I make in the future.

I purchased 4 LG appliances with a home remodeling project. We moved into our house in late April. Last week, we cooked a pizza in the top oven. As with pizza sometimes, the cheese melted over the edge of the pizza stone onto the bottom of the oven. No biggie - it has a self-clean feature. When the pizza was done, I immediately set it to self-clean since it was already heated. It took 3 hours and heated my house to 80 degrees (note to self, do not self-clean an oven when its 95 degrees outside). The next morning I opened the oven to put my racks back in and to my surprise, all the self-cleaning feature had done was to BAKE the melted cheese even harder onto the surface. I had to take out (unscrew) the bottom tray and clean it with oven cleaner and 409. Its still not perfect. Very disappointed.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY LG REFRIGERATOR!!! We bought an LG French door refrigerator less than a year ago and we no longer have a refrigerator already. A very expensive appliance that is required normally important in life has been broken for over a month now. LG sent out a subcontracted company name Tasko who set an appt initially A day or so after report of failure of the compressor. Technician showed up unable to speak English and said I think....after only a few minutes someone else would have to come back...he couldnt fix the issue. I said, why did you come if you can not fix it and when will someone be back? My refrigerator isnt working and all my food is spoiling. EXPENSIVE LOSS!!! Plus its almost THANKSGIVING! He replied, someone will call by Friday...a whole week away...NO ONE CALLED FOR 2 more weeks! I received a call out of the blue on November 5th (my birthday) stating...I am on my way! I said, no you are not...NO ONE CALLED TO SET AN APPT AND ITS MY BIRTHDAY, we are not available! I said, I will call you back to set appt. Before an appointment was made...No phone call or appt was made with me but the Technician who does NOT speak English...KNOCKS ON MY DOOR ON VETERANS DAY! I am not dressed and not prepared for this person to be in my home. My husband shockingly lets this tech in and he had me trapped in my bedroom for probably 5-6 hours in which I was having a medical emergency with my cat and I needed to get my cat to Vet. This Tech finally leaves and did not fix the refrigerator but leaves it unplugged saying do not plug in for 3 hours. My food is still spoiling and after 3 hours the refrigerator is now making a very loud noise and is not working at all to cool anywhere.I received a call from LG the next afternoon and I informed the rep of the horrendous customer service and how very unhappy and angry I was at how this man was in my home without a appt and unannounced at all. The rep said, I understand and will be calling Tasko to discuss this with the Tech and he knew that communication with that company was not easy to accomplish from prior conversations. He is very sorry for our experience. Our refrigerator does not work at all at this time. I call LG back a day or so after not hearing a word back and I AM STILL WITH A FRIDGE AND THANKSGIVING IS FAST APPROACHING!!! I called to request a new refrigerator as this is a class action suit issue across the country and My fridge is under warranty. I got the run around saying I must produce a receipt now even though they gave us all in their computer as customers of this fridge. I said I can not find my receipt and the company we purchased it at HH Gregg has closed all stores so I can not get a receipt from them because they did not upload to the warranty dept that bought their contracts. I am constantly calling for a new refrigerator STILL on Nov 21 and THANKSGIVING is tomorrow...I HAVE NO REFRIGERATOR NOW FOR OVER A MONTH and no one seems to give a flying rip and wants to send the same company back to my home that I have had such a horrific experience with for the past month. I requested to speak to the President of LG and was told they dont have that number!!! I said, Are you kidding me?!! The rep said, I will request a EXECUTIVE will call you within the next two days. Meanwhile, I AM STILL WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR that is less than a year old and tomorrow is THANKSGIVING!!! I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL FROM AN EXECUTIVE and suspect I will not be, I think its time to contact one of the class action suit attys! Thoroughly disgusted, frustrated and infuriated! Do not buy any refrigerator from LG...or anything else if this is how you will be treated especially after spending nearly $4000 dollars for such an important appliance in life!

We bought a brand new LG washer and dryer set, front loaders several years ago. I was so excited to have the latest and greatest. As soon as our warranty was up, all 3 agitators fell off - inside a wash and most of the items were shredded to bits. The appliance store we purchased them at told us we were SOL, and to call a repair man. Due to unemployment and lack of funds, we were forced to try and fix it ourselves. We finally found a waterproof glue which holds them on for a few months but they continue to fall off and we have to keep sticking them back on. Oh, and when I use my dryer for towels or a sheet set, it squeaks loudly as it tumbles. I do not overload either machine, and its not like I wash rocks. Ive never heard of anything like this happening to a washing machine. My husband is on his way now to the home improvement store for more glue, as the load of towels he just ran was making the loud booming sound of it happening yet again. We also get the funky smell, mostly on towels, and I have to keep wiping the inside of the glass door to keep the mold from growing, but I can deal with that. I will never buy an LG product ever again. Did I say never? I mean it too.

I saw the LG refrigerator on the store and it was a good size for this particular model. My parents have LG as well. So, I ordered it online and so far, I like the size of it. It has two different store options, but it’s a big room. Also, I dont like the smart inverter technology that it has. It turns off a lot more than it’s supposed to, so the temperature goes up and the cycling of the temperature is probably more than it’s supposed to. The refrigerator goes warm inside and the cooling kind of cycles on and off to save energy. But then, it goes too warm before it cuts off to go back to cold.

I am so upset with LG Fridge and LG customer service. I bought my fridge in July 2011 and purchased 5 year extended warranty from HD. During that time we replaced compressor (June 2013). Today I had to pay $500 labor fee to replace a compressor again (the part it is still under 10 year warranty). I am devastated. I called LG and they were extremely nice repeated memorized sentences, when I was finally connected to a supervisor (20 minutes on hold). She was rude and impatient. Never had to deal with this kind of attitude. I would never buy anything from LG. I like class lawsuit idea. They should have a recall and waive charges related to replacing the same parts, obviously it is manufacturer poor quality.

My husband and I are teachers and dont make much to begin with, and we are only paid 10 months out of the year. It is our responsibility to be conservative with our money so we often buy in bulk with coupons. Well, last year after we came home from our vacation (not a glamorous one either) to a very hot refrigerator and $400 worth of food that had gone bad, we called and fought with LG customer service who were very rude to us. They refused to replace the food but because it was less than 6 months old and under warranty, they sent someone to fix the problem. Now this summer, we went away again, and came home to a fridge full of moldy food again and another $300 worth of food. At this point, we cannot afford to replace much of it because we wont see another check until the end of September. We were trying to budget and plan ahead. We paid for the extended warranty from PC Richards who has been wonderful thus far. So, they sent someone out to take a look at it, but we were told that this is just a trait of the LGs which have fans that are known to shut down if the food cabin gets too cold and sometimes there is a glitch where the fan wont turn back on again unless the refrigerator is unplugged then plugged in again. So both my husband and I have been on the phone with LG customer service, and they have been nothing but rude. I was told that it was not in the customer service policy to replace the lost food. When I asked them why they had that policy, the supervisor was unable to tell me. She just said that that was their policy. All I asked was why, but she refused to tell me. If I treated the students and parents in my classroom the way LG treated my husband and me, I would be out of a job.

We purchased a French door ice maker fridge in 2011. LG GCP197DPSL- 560 L - $1600 (Lemon). One year later the ice maker kept jamming up and would not dispense ice. This then made ice crystals form that covered the inside of the freezer door causing ice crystals to fall all over the floor when the door was opened. 5 years, two replacement doors. 1 ice maker bin, dozens of calls to LG and numerous service calls at $75 each time and we still do not have a fridge/freezer that will make ice or not frost over inside. LG say they will not offer any more assistance or support or any kind of refund or compensation to us... LG fridges are the worst. Do not buy one. LG customer service (3rd world call centre) is an insulting joke of stalling and non commitment to help their customers in any way... Joke.

We recently went through 4 months of renovations. What a nightmare and the contractor is not coming back to do the final touchups. We had our kitchen completely gutted and when it came to appliances we purchased and LG range and fridge. Both are working just fine. It takes a bit of getting used to when going from appliances from the 70s and 80s to new. We have had no problems with the fridge but then we have only been using it for a couple of months. The stove works fine. I thought getting a new stove would mean that I would wait a shorter time for a pot of water to boil but no. We are having a problem with the smell of gas every time we use the range. Whether it be the oven or burners, we smell gas. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether this is normal. We shouldnt be able to smell gas in other rooms other than the kitchen but we do when we use the range. The other issue which is major is the knobs for turning on the burners. This is a complete safety hazard and how this design passed any safety inspections before selling to the public is beyond me. I have singed my long hair twice, once reaching into a cupboard near the stove and another cleaning by the stove just because I barely leaned against the range. The knobs turn by barely brushing up against them and instantly the burner is on before you can get out of the way. If my children were still small I would not keep this stove. It is a accident just waiting to happen. I find this design terribly irresponsible for a company to have and this range should be recalled. I also find the venting of the oven across the cook top not the best design also. When I use the oven and the burners at the same time too much heat is being created and at one time our range hood fan went off on its own and didnt shut off until the heat had dissipated. At the same time the oven vent causes the pots on the stove to heat up even more than from being on the burners and the handles can not be handled unless using a pot holder. It bakes well. We find we use the convection more because on bake food isnt crisping up as much as we would like. I guess thats the difference between electric heat and gas. Companies need to stand by their products better. Our old fridge of 25 years is still going on strong and has been relegated to the car port as an overflow fridge. I am certain that these new appliances of today would never last that long. If the new LG fridge goes we might have to bring the old one back inside. Oh and our 2 year old Samsung T.V. just completely died. What quality!!!

I purchased an LG computerized washer from Home Depot that has a big label that says 10 years, which is no guarantee of anything. The washer worked 3 years and the $450 power supply went out. No more computerized washers for me. They are pretty, but I will take the simple old models with knobs and mechanical parts without the fancy very expensive to repair computer parts from now on. My washer before it lasted over ten years. My expensive LG is in my shed. I cannot bear to put on the curb something I paid that much for. I now have a used washer that I paid $100 for the washer/dryer pair that work just fine. They are Roper models. I only recommend the LG gamble to people who have more money than they need and money to throw away.

I bought this model (LSXS26326S) back in 2015, yes this come with 1 year warranty. June 2017, with no clue its just stop being refrigerator, ice not produce, not cool only one thing works is lighting. Called customer service right away, they question me if I have warranty? Yes 1 year warranty. If this case happens 10-20 years later it means this refrigerator already do their jobs, but only 2 years? Dont you think it something wrong might happen with their production? This refrigerator cost 1.5 k not some hundred dollar. I made a decision to purchase LG brands because I think that I could TRUST them. LG team gave me time to fix this on July 29th which is I could not accept this. I would like to get a same new working refrigerator or higher immediately or full refund so I can buy a refrigerator to keep my food cold and because I feel like I pay too much for this refrigerator that only working for 2 years. I purchased an LG topload washer - model #WT7600HWA in September of last year. Immediately I noticed that the clothes came out dingy and old looking. In December I noticed that some sort of fibrous looking matter was on the clothes when I removed them from the washer. It has gotten progressively worse and my clothes are being ruined as I have to rinse them several times and I still cant get it all off. Since January I have made at least 12 calls to customer service, executive services and now have been bumped up to product specialists. I have had 4 service calls and spoken with the manager of the department in the retail store where we purchased the machine. The LG service man who was last here acknowledged that there was a problem as he actually saw it on my clothes but told me that he could find no source for it so LG wouldnt replace the machine. I have documented with pictures and sent two letters with another going out today; have researched online and found complaints of the same thing happening to other people; and called my own appliance repair company that I have used on other appliances. They told me they had a customer with the exact same problem. They went out and took her machine apart and they were not able to find the source of the problem either. The matter that is left on the clothes looks like white/tan specks all of the clothes or it comes out in big streaks and smears. In my conversations with each and every department they have given me tasks and advice that contradict the information in their own product manual. I have run tub clean per their instructions many times. With product; with bleach; without anything; have had our water tested and drained our hot water heater. All to no avail. I think the appliance is defective in some way and LG will not replace it. It is ruining my clothes. At this rate I will have to purchase a new washer and a new wardrobe!

I am writing you today regarding my LG3036-ST Gas range that I purchased from Best Buy earlier this year. Recently, while using my stove for the first time the top oven caught fire and the broiler would not shut off. This malfunction resulted in the fire department coming to my home to put out the fire and disconnect the stove. This was the second range that we had been given by LG, the first did not work upon arrival (3 of the burners did not work and the top oven would not turn on). Prior to buying my range, researched extensively for the best product for my limited funds and settled on the LG3036-ST. While I was disappointed that the first range did not work, I was horrified that the second malfunctioned and caught fire. Following the fire, we contacted Best Buy about getting a technician to look at the Range and to replace or fix it. Best Buy sent a representative who looked at the stove and decided that it did indeed malfunction and needed to be replaced. The tech even stated in his report that it was not a grease fire but was caused by a malfunction. As the range is under warranty from LG, Best Buy is requiring a return authorization number. So we began calling their customer service hotline to obtain this number. Our first contact was a call center employee who took our information and said that someone would contact us in 5 days. It was very frustrating that we had to wait 5 days to even TALK to someone who could potentially help us. Finally we spoke to someone at LG who forwarded us along to various departments and more equally unhelpful people. I think we have spoken to 6 or 7 people at this point, with each of them telling me that they couldnt issue a return authorization number but maybe the next person could. We are now heading into our third week of dealing with some of the most incompetent customer service I have ever encountered. The person we are now dealing with, Cindy ** at executive services, has stated to us that we need to obtain a fire report that shows it is a faulty valve that caused the fire. So, I took time off of work (which cost me money) and went to the fire station who then told me that in our city (Chattanooga, TN) they are not allowed to state cause of damage unless it is an arson investigation, which this is not. Their report is so broad, it simply states fire in the kitchen. After relaying this information back to **, she then told us that your technical department believes that the fire is a grease fire and not due to your products failure. They think this off of pictures taken by my wife on HER CELLPHONE. They are directly contradicting the actual repairman who has seen the oven in person based off pictures on a cellphone of the exterior of the stove. After a few days of stalling, LG agreed to return the stove yesterday June 19th only to rescind their offer today June 20th after their techs looked at the cellphone picture again. They literally took the word of a tech behind a computer in Korea over a tech who physically came to our house and diagnosed the problem. I realized in that moment that LG has no intention of helping us and are only seeking to further their corporate bottom-line. We have been more than patient as their customer service department has stalled, passed the responsibility and blatantly lied about the cause of the fire. There have been no apologies for our situation, no efforts to help and no basic human decency. To say that I am frustrated is a huge understatement. In building our home, we also purchased a few whirlpool appliances, two of which had a few small issues. Rather than give us the run-around, like your company has done, Whirlpool responded quickly and had a service person at our home within 24 hours who not only fixed the problem but went above and beyond in helping us. I was so pleased I have encouraged my friends and family to purchase Whirlpool products and I will continue doing so in the future. In direct contrast is the service LG has provided. I will never purchase an LG product again, I will also discourage everyone I know within my sphere of influence against purchasing LG products.

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator a couple of month ago (model: LFXS28968). Roughly, two weeks ago we got a code on the digital display screen indicating dH (Freezer) and F (refrigerator). I called in a repair request to your service department (the unit was still under warranty) and sent the service department both a sales receipt and a purchase order from the stored it was bought. They scheduled a service technician to come out to look at the unit. He never came to look at the unit but said he would order the part due to the nature of the display screen read out. He also told me that if the service department did not call me within three days I would be entitled to a new unit (I guess beyond that time the food would begin to spoil). After not hearing from anyone for the past three days I tried to get in touch with the technician at least five times by both cell phone and text messaging. Absolutely no response. Then, I called the service department which was no help at all. They could not get in touch with the technician nor could they trace the part which they claimed they ordered. They said they would look into it and get back in touch with me. Guess what? they never got back in touch with me. Then I had to get in touch with a supervisor who still could not reach the technician nor trace the supposed part. The next day I spoke to a different supervisor who again could not get in touch with the technician nor located the part. The next day I called and wanted to speak to a manager from the LG Corporation. Instead I spoke to another supervisor who indicated the part was ordered from Korean and was on its way.I asked her what kind of compensation would I receive for all of spoiled food (both the refrigerator and freezer). I received a mere $150.00. Instead LG could have resolved the problem by supplying me with a new unit within the three day time frame. They decided to prolong the problem and that stretched into two weeks. This has been one of the most frustrating situations I have ever been involved in. The level of incompetence, and lack of empathy towards their customers is incomprehensible. Seldom do I write reviews but this is an exception. I hope anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a LG refrigerator will do their homework on the LG brand. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I recommend this product to any of my friends.

I have an LG LFX21960ST French door bottom freezer refrigerator that I paid
I have an LG LFX21960ST French door bottom freezer refrigerator that I paid a pretty penny for in July 2007. I had it a couple of months and had to replace the ice maker which was under warranty. However, it cost me $60 to find out it was broken and another $125 to have it installed. In December 2010, I had to replace the compressor - it was under warranty so it only cost me $70 to find this out and another $400 to have it installed. Well, now we are up to $655 so far. Fridge now making clicking sounds and there is occasional thawing in freezer. Repairman left yesterday, charged me $70 to tell me I need another compressor - now five months out of warranty and this will cost me $770 for part/installation. Now we are up to $1,495 for my cost of repairs. I called LG since this - counting the original - means this $2,300 fridge has had THREE compressors. I talked to LG about seeing if I could be afforded an extension on warranty since I wondered if this fridge could be a LEMON. They said no even though it was only five months past warranty. This has been a terrible inconvenience. Putting food in coolers outside, not to mention the almost $1500 it has cost me out of pocket for repairs. I always thought LG stood by their products and that is the reason I have their TVs, fridge and had their phone, but I might have to do some rethinking in the near future. Went on LG Facebook page and they told me to private message. Did so - no help. LG told me there are options for after warranty and did as they asked and again private messages them to no avail - and NOW LG HAS BLOCKED ME FROM THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE - some customer service!

We purchased an LG fridge 3 years ago based on their advertising saying that their lifespan is at least 20 years, that along with their innovative features was the reason why we ended up buying it... Fast forward, right after it broke the 3-year mark it just stopped cooling so one day we woke up to a pool of water all over the kitchen and we found out that EVERYTHING on the freezer was fully thawed, and this happened just right after we went to do the groceries so the whole fridge was FULLY stocked with food... We had to throw away most of our food, hundreds of dollars wasted... And the worst just happen after this...We found out that this is a common issue with LG fridges and that their technicians are taking weeks, sometimes months to come repair your fridge, what??!! What are we supposed to do now? To wait blindly for weeks or even months for them to come repair it? To go out and eat EVERY SINGLE DAY 3 times? To spend thousands of dollars by doing that? And not to mention that we are in the middle of a Pandemic and that we have toddlers?? Not only LG products are this bad but their service towards honoring their warranty is bad as bad can be... Their customer support phone line NEVER answers your call so you are stuck in oblivion with a dead fridge and nobody to take responsibility of repairing it asap... We are adding ourselves to the class action suit against LG now...

We were very upset initially with our expensive LG refrigerator breaking after 3 1/2 years which left us living out of coolers for a week, losing 80% of the items in our refrigerator and freezer due to spoilage. We were finally able to speak with an LG Representative on the phone within 24 hours to discuss the problem and LG came through and stood behind their product by conducting a repair with upgraded new parts and a software update to help eliminate future problems. We had an extended warranty through an authorized LG retailer we purchased from. LG took over the repair order, sent their internal LG Service Direct Technician to our home and conducted the repair. The technician was very professional and highly skilled. The repair only took 1 hour.We were very concerned about parts being ordered and having to wait an additional 1-2 weeks after diagnostic testing. Not the case! Repair was complete on 26 FEB 2020, 6 days after breakage. 5 hours after the repair completion, the ice maker was producing ice, freezer was working, and the refrigerator was cold. Seems like a good repair. I would like to thank LG for their support in this matter regarding our refrigerator repair. We look forward to enjoying our LG appliances now and in the future.

I like the looks and the functionality of my LG and why I bought it. I especially like the meat drawer. Its in the middle of the fridge and its a 3-4 inch tall drawer that goes the length of the fridge. No other brand had that. My house is an LG house from phones, TVs to the appliances. No complaints. Life really is Good.

We recently bought our first home which had brand new LG appliances throughout the home; great! Major upgrade we thought. 2 months in and the freezer portion of the fridge has failed and the microwave has too... Only to find out were not covered by any sort of warranty as we were not the initial purchases. Very frustrating experience after settling into our forever home. Do not buy LG for ANYTHING. Anticipating the failure of our washer and dryer as well.

I am extremely happy with my LG microwave. I have not had any problems since I bought it 4 years ago and when the day comes that it no longer works, I will be sure to purchase another LG microwave. I have also recommended this microwave to family and friends.

We purchased a top load True Balance model WT4870CW early July 2013. No need for repair just yet but I cannot imagine we will remain unscathed. Countless UE warnings and subsequent UE shutdowns despite manually redistributing load and sorting by evenly weighed items. Water hammer on our plumbing from rapid cycle solenoid function when not experiencing uneven load. We will continue to hope for best while querying the web for updates and solutions (yeah... sure). Its crazy to hope for and experience elation just because the machine occasionally runs back to back loads trouble free. Our Whirlpool washing machine which this LG replaced gave us 19 years trouble free.

We purchased an LG LMV1813ST late July of 2012, but it was not used until late November of 2012. After we finally moved into our new house, we bought all new LG appliances totaling $5,500.00. On January 14th, we went to use the microwave and it would not heat anything. We have a technician coming out tomorrow. Not happy at all. It was used not even two months!

The area around and under the bleach dispenser has rusted causing rust to fall into our clothing. We purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot and they and LG both indicated that this would not be covered and said that it is a cosmetic issue. We dont like our clothing getting rusty! DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER OR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT! This warranty (5 yrs.) is deceptive and Home Depot lied to us.

Save your money. Do not buy LG appliances. We spent almost $1000 on a dishwasher in May 2019. By November 2019 the motor was going, as explained to us by an LG service/ repairman. Called the Corp office in AL they told us to buy a new DW and they would send a third party vendor out to pick up the damaged DW and reimburse use the purchase price, NOT the delivery and installation fees. We purchased another more expensive dishwasher, not LG, and put the old one in our garage. After a zillion phone calls the DW was picked up in January! We were told the check was in the mail. Since no check has arrived, a call was made AGAIN to LG Corp. Advised they still don’t have the DW!! Obviously the check in the mail was a lie!! Called the fulfillment center who advised DW has not been picked up yet by FedEx, even though it was picked up at our house on 1/22!! It is now 2/10, about 3 months since this nightmare started and we are out $2000 for purchasing 2 dishwashers????

Tried to find one that was rated good in Consumer Affairs. I have had this pair for about 5 years. I looked at consumer feedback to find one that was rated well. They seem to do ok. I dont like the odor coming from the washer when you have the door closed too long, so I always leave it open when not in use. I look for capacity, energy efficiency, discounts, brand, quality. How fast they will come out and repair if it breaks down. I look for quality and price has to enter in on it. Most expensive is not always what I want. It may not have the features I want. I want and need large size that keeps working.

I got a floor model LG LSC27925ST. Great deal but it broke in 5 days. They exchanged it. I was happy for 1 month. The compressor broke and it took almost a month right before Thanksgiving. But it was a aftermarket part, I guess okay. One month later, the heater coil broke. I dont trust my refrigerator. They approved the 150 food loss and they took it back. I wish I never bought LG. I will never buy it again. I hope this help someone.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

We purchased our first LG Dishwasher in September of 2018. Within a few months it quit working. Had a repair company come out and replace the control panel. The repairman told us that these Dishwashers are known for bad control panels, because they get wet... What? Its a Dishwasher, of course it gets wet. Here we are again less than 2 years old and wont power on again, obviously another control panel. We are out of warranty and out of luck! Horrible.

My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package in April 2016 after I did careful research on the products that were available at the time. We got a fridge, microwave and gas range. The first problem that we had was our fridge. The compressor went out about three years in which LG fixed. Next up, about a year ago, our ice maker just stopped working. Around that same time, I heard a very loud pop in our microwave and that stopped working.I had a tech come out to take a look and it was the entire control panel which was nearly the same amount the microwave cost in order to fix it which we ended doing. I didnt want to get another brand because this microwave has a special vent that goes above my range. The tech also looked at the refrigerator ice maker and mentioned that we may need to replace the door which is a common problem apparently. Unfortunately that is too pricey for the time being so now I have no icemaker.Until yesterday, Ive been happy with my LG Gas Range... I started getting an F9 error which means the oven isnt heating correctly. Tonight I was making dinner and the oven turned on as usual and said it was preheated. I started cooking and opened the oven to check my food. Low and behold, the oven is barely hot. I check the oven temp and its 205 even though the temp says 400. Sounds like another problem that is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. Ive only had this appliance package for 5 years. It is so disappointing to have a problem with everything Ive purchased from LG. Ive been making sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid LG because of all the problems Ive had. The only appliance I have in my kitchen that hasnt had any issues is my dishwasher but thats a Bosch. Im glad I didnt get one from LG. Although the LG appliance look beautiful, please avoid them because right now Im trying to plan meals without the use of my oven until I can get it fixed. What a disappointment.

I have an LG top loader WT5270CW. Not having other review problems like leaking or vibration BUT washed clothes, have a heavy white residue visible on black or dark clothes. Not sure about lighter clothes. Residue is probably there too but not as noticeable. Recommendations say wash dark clothes in cold water but I have tried everything. Warm, adding additional rinse, Woolite for darks detergent. Very frustrating.
