Our refrigerator (model # LMXS30776S) is just over 3 1/2 years old, and this will now be the 7th time we’ve had it fail. Just last month, we had to have the ice maker replaced because of a leak. Five months ago, the evaporator, drier and ice maker assemblies were replaced as it was not cooling. The year before that we had to have the compressor and evaporator replaced along with a repair to the ice maker, losing a vast majority of our food in the process. Now, not only is the ice maker not working, but the fridge won’t cool below 52 degrees. Based on all of the complaints and class action lawsuits that have surfaced, this is a widespread problem that needs to be remedied. History would suggest that we will be in the same position in another 6 months down the road. LG needs to be held liable for the damages caused to their customers.

Heard good things about it from sales, however once I bought it and actually used it, I realize that the cost of this item was much higher than others and I could have been happier with a less expensive model. But I like the side by side which was easier to get what I needed, like the choice of colors offered too. I chose black. Not too much more I liked, the shelves were arranged with adequate space for big items like milk and juice. The freezer space is too small in width and limited in space for large items, the ice dispenser should have choice on type of ice and ice maker freezes too fast. Hard to find filters for it, ice maker broke and couldnt get a replacement. Will not buy again.

LFX31925ST/00 - Nothing but problems! 3 instances of the freezer defrosting. The ice machine leaked from day 1 and rusted down the front of the door and around the dispenser. We had to fight to get that door replaced. Theyve fixed the freezer twice as well and my food is defrosting AGAIN as I type this. Geek Squad guy is outside on his phone trying to handle it when what we should be doing is picking out a new fridge because ours should be recalled!!

We purchased an LG top load model WT55101H washer in August 2011. By the following year, we started having problems with the UE feature and it would continually add water to try to balance itself. It took hours to wash. It would stop on UE several times. Finally I would remove dripping wet clothes and wring them in sink by hand. I responded to a recall letter in early February. Sears sent 4 repairmen and I made 5 appointments (one no show), always between 1 and 5PM. This went on until March. Sears spent over $1,000 to fix a $900 washer and to this day it has never worked. It kept showing UE. One of the worst features or sensors someone can place in a washer. I will never buy an LG product from South Korea and currently being sold at Sears right now.

Bought an over 1200.00 new stainless steel refrigerator on the weekend of July 4th 2019 from Lowes. Today is October 9th 2019. Problem started 10/5/2019. This is 3 months old!! Model LDCS24223S/01. Serial number 904 MRUY 07478. The refrigerator cooling totally quit. It reads 66 in the top while being set at 33. Smart services was useless. Spoke with 3 representative who promised I would be called promptly with a service date. Was texted a link regarding service that led to page unavailable All of our food was ruined. I am an older disabled woman who depends on the refrigerator to keep medicines. I need the help of others to obtain ice for a cooler. My partner works out of town. Case number **.

Open till recently I was very happy with my LG refrigerator. Unit has always been great. Do you want to half years after me owning your own at the compressor went bad. I was very happy to hear that LG would replace it free of charge however I was not thrilled that it took so long to get a service appointment. I was almost a week without a refrigerator. Repair technicians came in. That’s where the real trouble started. The first time they said they didn’t have the right parts and it didn’t work so they left the refrigerator off for a number of days again while they were could get the right stuff to Complete the job. About a day after my refrigerator which finally running I called the repair company directly and told them that the unit was making load noise and vibrating. All my drinks were moving around on shelf but nonetheless I was happy to have a refrigerator again. Now it’s been 4 weeks with multiple phone calls to the repair company with no response to come out and rectify the issue. So now I turn back to LG to complain and to finally try to get someone out to fix this thing. An exceedingly long and painful process.

Like everyone else - initially I loved this unit. Its still a good looking one with amazing features - if they actually work. But when you have a sudden and complete failure of your unit it changes your opinion. And when LG customer service and their third party service centres do not treat it with any sense of urgency or allow you the courtesy of a call back then you feel bad!My stainless steel french door unit hums and lights up, but cools nothing, with no air blowing. I had to throw out over $300 worth of food and weve been without a unit for 5 days now! I am currently trying to resolve this issue with the customer service at LG Canada. Thankfully its still under warranty, plus I bought an extended warranty from the BRICK which would cover me for up to 5 more years of parts and labour or a replacement! LG sent a third party service guy who did not show up, after blocking out my whole day, which forced me to take the whole day off work losing a whole days wages as a result!! LG was unsympathetic with canned responses, and did not care much! Huge disrespect for me and my time and family! After spending over $3500 on a fridge you expect better service! In fact one of the girls at customer service had the nerve to tell me I could be charged for the service if my complaint about the unit was false! Imagine that! My advice dont buy any expensive LG refrigerator. Heck! Keep away from LG all together! Its easier to deal with a $500 unit than deal with this nonsense on a high end unit!

I bought top of the line dryer from LG. I wanted a Kenmore, but was talked out of it at the store by an expert salesman. I’ve had nothing but problems with it ever since this time. It doesn’t dry clothes, sensors all go off and now I’ve contacted LG, they sent Callahan’s repair, they said I needed a part. I waited a week and then they cancelled the appt. I now am waiting for an “outbound” segment of LG to contact me to try and get a new company to fix the problem. This is while being placed on hold for at least an hour. Very disappointed in LG and will never buy their products again!

Purchased a LG model LSXS26366 at Home Depot. Delivery came 3 days later with a damaged door handle. Depot guy came to my house to replace the handle. Next day we loaded up the new refrigerator with loads of new food. Went to freezer and found all the frozen stuff soft. Door control center has an error code. Open owners manual and follow the written directions only to find out that phone number is no longer a working number. Called LG customer service. Someone can call me back the next day and no they will not replace the rotted food. No service is available tonight. They will have someone call to make a repair appointment. Called Home Depot to have them retrieve this refrigerator and issue credit. Do not purchase LG appliances. This was just a horrible mistake. Won’t happen again.

We bought an LG French Door Refrigerator 8 years ago for almost $3000. Right before the warranty expired the compressor broke. It took 2 weeks to get LG to send a repair man out, 2 more week for the wrong part to arrive, 2 more weeks for the repair to be finally completed. Now a few years later, the refrigerator broke down again. We called several appliance repair companies and they all said we are better off applying our money to a new refrigerator because the parts are nearly impossible to get and they will not last. None of them had positive opinions of the LG product. Never again.

We were told to confirm via email. We never got confirmation email. Appointment was cancelled and had to again be scheduled. Ive now had to miss 3 days of work to repair bad LG washer. Do not buy LG Washer WT4801CW! I bought an LG washer and dryer from the Home Depot this past March 3, 2012 with my tax money, thinking that I was getting a top-of-the-line. Well, I was wrong. Within 30 days of my purchase, it just stopped in a middle of a cycle. My clothes got locked in and I immediately called LG. Their response was that was a common known problem that those washers had and I couldnt get a replacement since they had the parts to fix it. So, I had fix-it parts on a brand new washer. So, after five days passed with my clothes still inside the washer, finally, a technician came out. My childrens clothes got damaged. It worked fine. I thought the nightmare was over until again, less than a month that the technician came out, it happened again on 5/4/12. This time, they knew who I was and just sent me to a supervisor. All she could say again was that if they had the parts to fix it, thats what they would do. I am very upset. I have to wait another five days to wash again and till then go to the Laundromat again. I dont know what to do; they will not replace this defective two-month old washing machine.

Purchased LG LFSX29766s 3 years ago. Linear compressor failed within 1 year. Went through a nightmare of a process to have it replaced (had to buy extended warranty to cover the cost.). 2 years later -- linear compressor has failed again. Multiple class action lawsuit launched against LG. Awful product. Very disappointed in customer service response.

Initially I chose LG brand because I like their other appliances such as TV, Washing Machines, etc. When I bought the refrigerator that was the guiding and deciding factor, familiarity. What I like the most about the LG brand is the nice slick look. I like the brand itself in general. My favorite color in most appliances of that nature is stainless steel. I have been satisfied with the look, functioning and features of my LG refrigerator. I like the inside of the refrigerator as much as the outside. I like the design that allow me to pack my food nicely. Everything I need is neatly tucked away in a place that I am pleased and comfortable to reach and store it.

I purchased an LG refrigerator model LFC25776 ST/06 in May 2013. A little over a year later, just out of warranty, it required its first service call to replace a fan geode. Now 2 1/2 years after the purchase, the compressor is shot and get this, although the compressor itself is covered by warranty, the labor is not! So Im out over $500 to repair a practically new refrigerator. When I told a neighbor, she said she had the same experience with her LG refrigerator. The compressor went out in under 2 years. I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!

I purchased my home in 2010 that came with new set of LG appliances. I am having nightmares with the LG gas stove (model: LRG30357ST). Within few months, one of the knobs cracked at the plastic insert. Now why on earth would you design a knob with a plastic insert to mesh with a metal shaft? I replaced this with a new one costing $80. After a few months, this one cracked again and I had to junk the knob as it was of no use. Now after a year, the rest of the 4 knobs have cracked too and I have to use a Gorilla SuperGlue to hold them together. Not sure how long they last. Calling the customer service is of no use as they redirected me to the parts department. Why on earth would I pay $400 ($80 times 5) for 4 knobs? I will be junking the gas range once the knobs become unusable. My advice to fellow consumers, be cautious when buying an LG product and make sure you have reviewed thoroughly the comments by other consumers. I will never buy an LG appliance going forward. By the way, my LG dishwasher had its door and motor replaced (fortunately LG covered that). The only original part is the frame.

Bought a Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator 795.74032.411 in July 2015
Bought a Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator 795.74032.411 in July 2015 and really regret that decision. Less than 30 day after the 1 year warranty expired, got an error code indicating there was a bad control board or fan. Tech replaced the fan was first and that did not fix the issue, so then control board. Reading on line reports, this was a known issue with the LG control board. So $350 later, it was working again. Then a few month later, the ice maker started icing up. Turns out that the waterline running into the door has a know issue also. So tech had to order a new door (over $500) and with labor, total cost was over $850 for that failure. About a year later, started hearing a loud noise when a fan kicked on. This turned out to be a bad fan behind the rear panel in the refrigerator section. That was a $200 dollar repair (parts and labor).Shortly after that repair, the same fan started making noise again. This time the housing around the fan had shifted because of tension being place on the housing that way it is installed, making contact with the fan blades. Tech was able to readjust the housing to not touch the fan blades. But another $100 service charge. Now the Sealed System is out. The Sealed System is under warranty, but very hard to find anyone to do the repair. Sears is coming out next week, but the warranty only covers the parts. So labor will be $99 just to get them to look at it. The tech that looked at it yesterday (another $100 charge), indicates it likely the compressor, but he was not allowed to replace parts covered by warranty. Said I had to contact a Sears or LG for warranty repairs.

I have had this washing machine for less than a year and every time I use the machine it pills my clothes (making it uncomfortable to wear), pulls at thread (ruined a brand new comforter), and makes holes. Called LG customer service and they sent someone out but they could not find a problem. However, the problem keeps occurring. I called LG back and they are refusing to send anyone and says the machine is fine. If it was fine I would not be losing money in ruined clothes. I am very disappointed with LG product. I have had a broken refrigerator since December 25, 2018. The first time a technician from LG had come to fix it was December 30th. The technician has been coming back every week since then and it is still not fixed. Its only been 17 months since Ive purchased this refrigerator and it has not been working properly for more than two months. I bought it on July 4, 2017. The first repair was on 10/30/17, the second on 03/23/18, and the third on 05/15/18. Now I dont have working refrigerator again. I need someone to take action or I am going to take legal measures. This seems like an issue not just I but many other customers have had and the issue is still not being resolved. Not only is this a time consuming process but also a financial loss. Since not having a fridge for over a month, we havent been able to buy store food and only take out. This not only takes even more money out of my pocket but requires me to take time off work because of all the appointments. Not only is the fridge not working but the last time a technician came on January 25, 2019 he scratched the fridge and left a black burn mark. I am so frustrated and disappointed with not only a product but the services. I would really just like my money back so that I can buy a new, scratch free, and working fridge. I have attached the pictures of the damage.

LG 4 door French Door Refridge. I purchased a Refrigerator in December 2016 which makes it 3 years old, in April 2019 I had to have a new compressor installed already, now both the freezers are creating snow and ice and I cant open the drawers. I called and they told me that I had to defrost the entire refrigerator/freezer first and wait 8 hours. Not only did I do that I waited two days to make sure everything was dry, once I determined that it was, I plugged the unit back in, overnight it started to create ice and snow again. I called back, after 45 minutes on the phone with someone I could hardly understand, giving them every number possible and all the info, they pass me to the scheduling dept to have someone come out to look at it, they charged me $125 up front service fee just to have tech come out to my home, that does not include the repair or parts, really! This is only a three year old appliance, that has had problems already, what piece of junk. I am 55 years old and for once in my life I was able to afford a better product, well that was what I thought I was getting, paying a heavy price for the refrigerator, I thought LG was supposed to be a great product, well WRONG, they truly dont care about us, they want us to do all this troubleshooting first, I dont pretend to be an engineer, they should be sending out a tech for free especially for a three year old unit. I am so disgusted with LG. I will never purchase any of their products again. I am sure this refrigerator will cause me so much grief and money that I will have to get rid of it. And furthermore, I have a 20 year old GE refrigerator in my garage that I have never had to have any service on and it stills works great, just a little rust on it, so I moved it to the garage, It beats LG for sure. During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kit
During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely. In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman. No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator. He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

If you open the oven door the light will flash on and off. Control buttons dont work until the oven cools down. LG phone tech said I had a power failure. I did not. LG repair guy that came to my house claims it is the power board allowing too much something or other to come through which is causing it to shut down. Hoping he is right and unhappy that I have to pay a repair bill for something in a new appliance.

We bought the LG LMXS30776S refrigerator in early 2017 and it was working okay (it did make louder than expected noises most of its short life) until December 15, 2019 when we woke up one morning to a trail of water on the floor and all of our food ruined. We paid for someone to come out to tell us that it was a dead compressor and to contact LG for a replacement part.An LG tech came out and replaced the compressor, and while the freezer worked, the fridge portion remained at room temperature. He came back the next day to fix it again, but the fridge did not get below 42 degrees. An LG contracted appliance repair company then came out and determined that new parts (fridge evaporator and another compressor) were required. They returned a week later and replaced the compressor again along with the fridge evaporator, but after they left nothing worked at all.The LG tech came out again and got fridge half-working again (still does not go below 42), but the freezer is still not functioning. LG tech now says we can get a new fridge due to multiple visits, but the LG customer service says their tech needs to say it is not repairable and why and the tech is not willing to make that call for us. We have now initiated the replacement request process three times (each time takes 3-5 days) the first two times weve waited a week only to find out they messed up the paperwork and had to start again. Weve been without a fully functioning fridge/freezer for over 6 weeks. Weve wasted hundreds of dollars on food that got spoiled. The LG refrigerator is an utter disappointment, as is their customer service.

Bought my refrigerator model LFX33975ST in 2013. Had high hopes I wouldnt have to purchase another unit for a long time but to my surprise two years later, Im looking at doing just that! My husband and I usually research products pretty good before purchasing them so we thought LG was a good choice -- WRONG. After two years, my refrigerator has stopped cooling. LGs Customer Service told me to contact a repairman to confirm the problem was the compressor and if so, they would mail a new part to me. The problem was the compressor, but the repairman told me they would not repair the refrigerator even if LG provided the part. I called another repairman but they refused to even to come out to look at it once I told him it was a LG refrigerator. I called LG back (after five days had passed) to check the status of my repair request and after being put on hold for 15-20 minutes, the person told me he was unable to get a hold of anyone and gave me three numbers I could call for service. The person at the last number I called was very helpful and honest. She told me she could schedule someone to come out to look at the unit but I would have to provide proof of purchase before they could do anything per LGs company policy. I was never told that by LGs Customer Service and at that point, it became very obvious to me I may not ever get my refrigerator fixed. Thumbs down LG - I will never buy one of your products again; oh no, too late -- earlier this year we purchased a new LG dishwasher and washer/dryer... yeps!!!

I woke up once and noticed that theres a puddle of water surrounding the fridge. I thought I just forgot that I pushed the defrost button, but upon checking, the button wasnt pressed at all. I couldnt find the owners manual since the fridge is already 5 years old. Not really sure if this is a technical issue or if this is indicated in the manual. Havent tried to contact customer service about this issue. Just need to find the warranty papers and manual first.

I had to literally get the door off and side for two trying to get the splattering cleaned and still have not gotten the desired effect. The top of the range is another problem. So I bought an LG Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # WT1101CW in June of 2014. After about 6 weeks the washing machine started getting uneven loads, on small batches, normal-sized batches, even just a table cloth and placemats. This now happens about 60% of the loads, if not more often. It fills with TONS of WATER multiple times in an attempt to balance an already balanced load (I take several minutes now to load the washer to make sure its perfect) and has skyrocketed our water bill. High efficiency my rear end. I was in contact with LG and they said its normal. Normal to have a high efficiency washer raise my water bill by 300%? NO thanks. NEVER buying an LG Washer ever again. Can I please have an old-fashioned, non-energy star washer that just works and cleans and has no computer parts in it?

Weve had 5 service repair guys out that we couldnt really speak English and they continue to tell us the door is closing properly which it isnt. When we open and close the other door it ends up pushing the other door open and then that door doesnt close by itself. LG wont give you the time of day. All we would really like is for them to replace this unit and move on. But they dont want any part of it. About 2 months after purchasing the unit, the heating element that controls the defrost mode went out and had to be replaced. Also, this unit makes a horrible vibrating noise when the compressor runs. If I put my hand on the door, it immediately quiets down. When I told the technician about it, he said it wasnt anything he could fix. They sent another technician out and he said this is normal and that the new compressors are just loud. That doesnt make sense because when I put my hand on the doors, it immediately quiets down. National Platinum Services wont send anyone out unless I agree to pay a $95 fee. I refuse to agree to this as the unit is new and is under warranty.LG says this is an installation problem and not their problem. LG told me to watch a video on how to level the unit and sent me a wrench for the doors. I have both front legs as high as they will go and the wrench they sent doesnt fit - one end is too small and the other is too big. LG confirmed that the wrench they sent is the only one they have for the refrigerator, yet no one can tell me how to adjust the doors without it. I talked with a supervisor who said they would send someone out free of charge to get it level but that never happened. A month went by and now LG is saying a new policy went into effect 2 weeks ago and I have to pay the fee. I find it highly suspicious that National Platinum Services avoided contacting me until the new policy took effect. BTW: Both technicians who came pulled the unit out from the wall without re-leveling it.Now today the heating element that was replaced is not working properly and ice and frost is building up in my freezer. Im beginning to think that the whole line of your refrigerator is not properly leveled is just a stalling tactic from LG and they know these units defrost mechanisms are not designed/built properly. Perhaps this is why theres such a bad vibration and noise. Theyre just trying to waste time and wait for the warranty to run out. NEVER. BUY. LG. EVER.

I have the same problem with the moldy smell. I had a service guy in today and I am going to follow his advise and see what happens. The washer is already smelling better! His advise; First, he adjusted the front feet so the machine sloped slightly back so the front gasket drains fully, then he showed me how to drain the washer by using the dials (no one explained this to me!). Turn on machine, dont touch the main dial, go to spin speed button and press it. Display should read 13 minutes, then start washer. This will completely drain any standing water! Good luck **. He also recommended to use half a cup dish washing detergent in the drum, wash on full hot cycle. Do this at your own discretion, I am trying this tonight!

We purchased a brand new LG french door refrigerator (bottom drawer freezer and 2 door refrigerator with ice and water in the door). We purchased it through Home Depot for $2200 in April 2016. We researched and shopped around and felt good about the purchase. Didnt buy extended warranty - why would we... its a brand new fridge with manufacturers warranty and solid company right?? WRONG!!!I NEVER write online reviews. This experience is so shockingly horrible I had to submit a review. The ice in the door constantly melts and refreezes. When it refreezes it bonds the giant chunk of ice from the ice maker to the door. You need an icepick or a crowbar to then remove the ice maker from the door. Of course, as soon as you pry it apart, the entire bin of ice and melted water drops onto the floor and all around your feet. The melted ice block fills every nook 6 inches deep into the ice maker. Again, using an icepick you can chop up the ice and use your vacuum or spoons to extract all the ice.Home Depot wont touch this. Refer you to LG Customer Service. Took multiple calls and LG over the phone told us it was our fault and we must be leaving refrigerator door open too long and were melting the ice. They told us to open the refrigerator door NO MORE THAN 1-2 TIMES PER DAY??? Finally, they sent a technician. The technician reviewed the fridge and told me LG is terrible and he sees this all the time. However, his report back to LG indicated he found no issues. LG issued report to us that we need to TURN OFF THE ICEMAKER every night before bed and empty the bin. In the morning we can turn the ice maker back on but that we MUST USE ALL THE ICE EACH DAY OR TURN IT OFF. They claim the ice maker is so efficient and meant to make more ice than we can use because they were getting complaints it wouldnt make enough ice. So weve been turning the ice maker on and off each day - which makes us open the refrigerator doors twice a day by the way. And the problem is still there. Thanks LG!! What a waste of $2200. A waste of many peoples time in your games and a ridiculous strategy. Buyers are savvy and expect more than stupid answers. A very unsatisfied customer who is also a realtor and refers people to buy new appliances all the time! Will make sure people dont buy LG for sure!

I bought one of LGs “French door” models in July 2014. The compressor has already gone out. Initially, I really liked the unit, with the exception that the ice maker in the door did not stay cold enough and the ice melts together and has to be thrown out every few days. I was willing to overlook this because the rest of the refrigerator worked great. Produce stays fresh for several weeks.I am giving this refrigerator and LG 1 star mostly because of the service, which is almost non-existent. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I knew that the compressor was out because I woke up one morning and both the refrigerator and freezer were warm, even though the lights and water dispenser were still working and I could not hear the compressor. I tried to “diagnose” the issue so I could let the LG representative know, but it would not give me a reading. The ability to use your smartphone to diagnose issues was one of the selling points of this refrigerator. However, I had to wait two weeks (including over Labor Day weekend) just to have someone come to confirm that the compressor was the issue. The service person opened the refrigerator and used his own phone to determine that the compressor was out. I had to pay him the $100.00 trip fee for him to do something that I should have been able to do. Then I had to wait another 8 days for them to order the parts and come back to install the new compressor. The day before the second appointment, they called to confirm that all of the parts had arrived, but only 2 of the 3 parts had come. They told me they were cancelling the appointment and rescheduling it for another week out. I had to demand that they keep the appointment and I tracked down the missing part myself and picked it up at UPS. Finally, the technician came to replace the compressor yesterday, and I immediately knew something was wrong because it made a loud vibrating noise that has not stopped, which began as soon as he left. I called him and left a message but didn’t get a callback. He had indicated that it would take until this morning to cool down enough for food storage. I decided to wait it out and see if the noise would stop. Not only did the noise not stop, but the refrigerator and freezer are still warmer than the inside of my home.I now get to wait another 5 days for them to come back to re-check the refrigerator. I do not have a second refrigerator, so I am living out of a dorm-size refrigerator and buying ice at the gas station. My interactions with LG and A & E Service have been so negative and their service has been so slow that I have decided to use a different brand of appliances in a new home that is under construction. I will never buy another LG product again.

After having a house fire and needing all new appliances, we decided to go with an LG 4 piece kitchen appliance package from Home Depot for nearly $3,000. Within 5 years (right after the extended warranty we purchased had expired) the dishwasher stopped draining. We ate the cost of that and got rid of it and purchased one from a competitor. We have also had problems with our oven, sometimes it will go through periods where it wont turn on, then its fine the next day. Again, we are just dealing with that at this point since we cant afford to purchase a new one right now. Finally, we are now dealing with our refrigerator. At $1600 our refrigerator has stopped working due to a bad compressor at less than 8 years old. There is only one technician in our area that LG will let repair this, and while the part is still covered by the manufacturer warranty, the labor is going to be between $500 and $700. This is ridiculous! We had so many options when choosing our appliances and we put our trust and money into LG. We have been living out of a mini fridge for two weeks because we dont have the money to make this repair. This is strictly a review. I purchased this washer (LG Washer WT110CW) as to the high standard that Consumer Reports gave it. I hate it. Your standard wash cycle is 57 minutes. There is a load for bulky, whites, etc. but some have a cycle up to 113 minutes. They do have a quick load of 35 minutes, but thats the least. Then it spins to the point of almost drying and your clothes by then are so wrinkled, that the dryer will not take them out and now I have to iron these items. It was over $600 with tax, so I just cant go buy another one. Way too much computerized options that take forever. I bought my LG refrigerator in December of 2016 and it’s only October of 2018 less than 2 years and the front of my refrigerator is leaking an acid type of stuff and all LG said was that I needed to pay for it out of my pocket because they only give a 1 year warranty. I told them if it was from wear and tear I could see that but this could be VERY HARMFUL to have an acid type of substance coming out of my refrigerator. So I would not under any circumstances buy this product. Model LSXS26366S / 02.

I bought a LG dishwasher in 2017 from Home Depot. Registered it and it worked fine for almost a year. Then it started stopping before the drying cycle and constant beeping and didnt drain. Over the coarse of 9 months, 2 different repair companies, many hours on the phone, weve had the control panel replaced 2 times, the mother board replaced 1 time, the door lock/latch 3 times. Each repair lasts about 2-3 weeks. I have taken videos of the problem when they didnt believe me. The machine shows no error code and the smart app on my phone when linked says the machine is working fine. I have asked for a replacement washer because this is a lemon. I have documented all my emails to LG and to the service techs. When I read all the negative reviews on this same product, and under the review LG replies to contact them by calling them, or contacting on Facebook or Twitter because they want to make it right, I have to laugh. I have done all that including contacting them on Facebook. When the repair man visits your home and reports your problem to LG tech support, then sends the report to LG, tells you to wait for LGs response. No response in over a week so I call customer support. You cant call tech support only the repair guys have access to them. Customer service doesnt have access to Tech support. They leave them a note to call you. So you go round and round. As I am writing this I am waiting again for the repair man to arrive to fix my LG dishwasher that now will not start at all on any setting. It flashes, then beeps then stops.

Ive cleaned houses for 14 years and use a lot of different appliances, vacuums, cleaning equipment and supplies. This particular microwave has broken twice. I spray the outside very lightly to clean the stainless and wipe down to a shine. The moisture somehow gets into the panel on the bottom of the oven and it stops working. So frustrating! $3000 and 3 years old our fridge died just before the holidays. LG set up 2 appts with their technical support at A&E and neither appointment was honored. I have parts sitting here in my home; a compressor and dryer sent by LG for the technician. 2 days sitting home after canceling a long awaited doctor appt and other work related activities. There seems to be no end in sight and no way to contact upper management at LG in Huntsville, Alabama. They are hiding out there and taking no responsibility for their inferior product. Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

1st dishwasher faulty control panel. LG wanted us to wait for 3.5 months for part. I had to raise bloody hell before they agreed maybe this was a touch unreasonable. Luckily Lowes mgmt was outstanding and took machine back and gave us replacement. Installation number two completed to find door latch assembly faulty and after LG needing two different repair people to verify this machine too is a piece of crap the new door assembly part will not be available for 40 days from now and will not replace machine and expect us to wait for their repairs. Why oh why did I not read recent reviews of LG products. I have all LG appliances in my home that I have had for over 10 years. Now reviews say newer LG products a consumer is lucky to get 3 years. Calling all consumers... Vote with your $$, stop buying LG and lets put this company out of business.

To whom it may concern, I am very disappoint of your service for my refrigerator. My refrigerator is not cooling since 05/20/2019. The technician came out 5 times and fixed for 3 times. The last fixing was last for a week and it was not cooling on July 4 of 2019. I had 18 people in my home on that day and we had to trash a lot of food. There is another technician comes out tomorrow to take a look at my refrigerator, I have 2 young children who need food and milk. This is very frustrated for them because they keep asking when my refrigerator is fixed so they can have some food as before. When I talked to customer service she said that 3 times are the last chance if it does not work, they will replace or refund me money so I can have a new refrigerator. This is not true because LG still wants to come out and look at it again. The schedule is really taking so long (7 days or 10 days ahead). Another customer service told me that the policy is fixing from 1-2 weeks. However, it is almost 2 months for this. Therefore, this is also a problem and I dont know what is your policy. You can just keep doing this and do not care about the customer as for how long this has been going on. I can tell you that we will not buy any LG product in the future because of your service likes this. I have told my co-works, friends and my relatives regarding of your service.

A little after the warranty went out the ice maker broke. I paid for a whole new one it wasnt long after that the ice maker broke again so I just left it and started making ice with trays. Now it has stopped cooling and freezing. Now what LG? Youre taking peoples hard earned money thinking they are getting something trustworthy! I have an old Maytag in my garage. LG LDF6920ST Dishwasher - I bought this dishwasher in the spring of 2011 and in August 2014 the dishwasher will need to be replaced. This dishwasher was not abused and is in a 2 person household. Initially I smelled an awful smell of burnt electrical coming from the dishwasher and now it wont stay on. Im afraid it will catch the house on fire. An LG registered service person cost $89.00 for the service call and $150.00 per hour not including parts. I read online about other owners of this model dishwasher having to repeatedly change the motor and the water pump. I am going to replace this dishwasher after only 3 years use. I wont be buying another LG product anytime soon.

It was a very simple fridge without a water spout or anything like that. I liked that it has a lot of fridge space, there were many shelves and even door space. The light was nice and bridge and high enough that the food didnt cover it or a tall drink didnt get in the way of the light. It had adjustable temperature settings that didnt freeze the stuff in the fridge or leave the stuff in the freezer half frozen. I disliked the amount of freezer space, it left a lot to be desired, it was two shelves that were like baskets and slid out if something fell behind the basket. It was very hard to get and extremely hard to clean out. The basket design was a big flop. Yes I can complain about the fridge section whatsoever and that was my main concern since most people generally use the fridge portion of their refrigeration unit the most and the freezer is generally built much smaller for lesser needs. Most people I know eat fresh food more often than frozen food.

I purchased an LG refrigerator February 2008, French doors with bottom freezer. I had issues almost immediately, but were resolved under warranty. However, it took 2 weeks for the parts to arrive. Since the warranty expired, the plastic liner of the right door that has knobs to hold the door racks have broke; the door seals are tearing, there are cracks everywhere on the internal plastic liner; the catch for the top freezer tray broke off. This product is literally falling apart. We have contacted LG about some off these issues, but the response has been you are out of warranty and the repairs are on you. What a great company! Two months ago the washer filled up and would not spin or drain. I had to have one of the kids wring the water out of the clothes pc by pc. I contacted a friend that did appliance repairs and asked for some help. He wasnt able to arrive for a week, after which time it was discovered it was the drum of the washer. I contacted LG and they said not to worry that it would be covered as a lifetime coverage. Great! Next problem I bought this off of co-worker and his partner that they had it for about a year prior but was going into a home foreclosure and sold it to me. I didnt ask for the receipt at that time not thinking it was an issues as they bought it at our local Home Depot just around the corner from us both. So as I am speaking with the LG Rep on the phone, she takes my info and then says okay I have everything I need, now we just need your tech to call in the repair call so it can be further processed. I explained the whole story as I did not have receipt and that it was never called in as I was the owner. She said thats okay, not to worry, that wouldnt be an issue. My friend calls in the problem to them, they tell him okay; its covered but all they need is a proof of purchase. Not so easy, the co-workers partner had passed a year ago and there was no remembering what CC was used to purchase or what phone number so Home depot has no way to track it. Needless to say months later, still no washer and now since I am on a fix budget as a single mom, I now have to use a laundry mat to do our laundry, very hard after many years. Its the freaking drum that is cover and I can show them exactly which store the Serial Numbered Washer was purchased from but that is not good enough after one rep said it wasnt a problem. I have told my friends and family, not to waste their time with LG Products as they too will run into POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Nothing but a run around and ** just to get out of the lifetime coverage. Avoid LG if you want better quality. Go with Maytag, I had one for over 10 + years!!!!

My washer is just over 3 yrs old and the bearing went. When I called LG to explain the problem they told me that the parts were under warranty but the service call wasnt. So they would charge me for a service call and the labor!! And then they went on saying and if it is something else other than the motor/bearing or parts that are covered then we will be responsible for the parts. All that is wrong is a bearing went and it should be covered a 100%. She goes on saying if you read page in your owners manual it goes over what is covered and that we dont cover service calls or labor. She was very rude and no help at all. I feel a washer should last longer than 3 yrs. I take exceptionally good care of my things and LG just falls apart. I am now looking into other companies that do repairs on appliances cause after reading other peoples horror stories I dont want any of their rude, unprofessional, crappy employers stepping foot into my home. You know I expected that LG would be a good company and that if should something happen to my recently purchased LG fridge, that they would provide good service to me. How wrong I was. LG really let me down with not just their product - this new expensive fridge that broke that just after 1 year, but especially with their service. I asked if they could provide a service technician and the only one in my area wont repair the coolant system. So they purposely have the only technician in the Greater Vancouver area not do coolant systems. This seems designed to frustrate customers. They then said they could get another technician a week later who would cost $500 for labor (5 times the other service rate). In the end, I decided to scrap my fairly new fridge and get a KitchenAid fridge because its a better quality product and KitchenAid does right by its customers. LG is a really terrible company and I would recommend staying away from their products if you dont want to go through service hell.

My LG washer turned itself on when I was not at home. It filled up with water and because it was not in a cycle the door wasnt locked so the pressure from the water pushed the door open and the water continued to pour out. I came home to my house being flooded, water went through my vents and into my crawlspace. When the repairman came he witnessed the washer doing it all over again! I called LG, they told me to get 2 estimates, send them pictures, fill out documents and send them my old parts and I did. I thought they were going to help. I am now going into my 6th week of them leading me on to believe they are going to help me. They keep saying they have to do testing then they said they had to send the main control panel to Korea for further testing. I have over 30,000 in damages, my daughter is allergic to mold and not one person at LG gives a hoot! I am setting my LG washer & dryer at the end of my driveway (its 3 years old) I will never ever purchase anything with those initials on it again! Their customer service is as bad as their product! Oh it also leaks water from underneath during wash cycle too. The lady asked me at one point what cycle was your washer in when it leaked. I said AGAIN my washer was not in a CYCLE and it did not LEAK. It turned itself on, filled with water and sent out about 70 gallons of water. This company is a joke! Just look at all the 1 star complaints. Where were these reviews when I purchased? Well, the refrigerator was a brand new model with a brand new design called a linear compressor. This so-called ‘energy saver’, has been verified a complete disaster. It was faulty from day 1 and all the technicians will agreed. LG has since redesigned it, so now instead of 1 1/2 to 2 years, it is made to last up to 3 years before it fails. Save on energy? Perhaps, but you will pay through the nose on faulty parts every couple of years. It will cost you at minimum of $1,000 for the compressor to be replaced and a bit less to have your motherboard replaced when it fails. This does not include the hundreds to thousands in wasted food when the refrigerator crashes, the 2 to 6 week wait for a certified repair person (eat out every night?), the hours spent dealing with LG (NON-EXISTENT) customer service, who will never return a call or follow-up, who will argue with you, mock you, and make up lies regarding what their warranty plainly says in writing and in an easy to read chart, which they will refuse to honor. I urge you all to file an online complaint with your states attorney generals office. They handle these types of cases. Instead of complaining on here, where nothing will come of it, take a moment to get real action. They are basically stealing! They are the ones who manufactured faulty parts, they should be held responsible. If you bought a car that had a defective part, there would be a recall and the company would replace it. But LG has no honor, or concern for the millions of dollars paid out by consumers to repair or replace their products. They will NEVER care, unless they are FORCED TO!!! Aside from your State Attorney General, complaints to the Better Business Bureau, media outlets, blogs, complaint sites, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), State Consumer Affairs Departments, letters to the store managers who carry their products, etc. LETS MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

My experience with this washer has been completely unacceptable. When attempting to run a small load, the machine shuts down completely during the spin cycle due to imbalance. On one occasion it took over three hours to complete a small load as the load had to be redistributed and the washer restarted on three/four separate occasions. When I e-mailed LG regarding this problem I was told to check the circuit breaker!! This is a design flaw. LG as well as some other manufacturers have eliminated the costly, heavy and expensive transmissions found in earlier washers with a system that just plain doesnt work. The agitation is so poor that clothing in the middle of the load barely gets wet much less cleaned. I am tired of removing dirty laundry from this machine after the load is done.

I have been an LG customer for very long with almost all appliances being from LG. However my dishwasher problem has disappointed me greatly. I have an dishwasher model D1452WF which is my 2nd LG dishwasher over a period of 15 years. However after 4 years of using D1452WF, I noticed start of rusting of both the upper and lower racks/trays. I thought it was just a minor issue and continued using. But now after one more year, I have noticed that the rust has increased. The spares racks cost around US$215. I am really disappointed. What is the use of a 10 year motor warranty when the inside trays start rusting much earlier. I use salt regularly to soften the water. I have no other problems with the machine. So there is no point in buying such an equipment unless they make reliable parts as well.

I WONT BUY A LG ELECTRIC RANGE AGAIN. The LG Range Oven model # LRE383ST01 we purchased in 2015 has been nothing but trouble. In the first year the burner and main board went out. Luckily we were still under the warranty so LG sent their technician to replace them. A few weeks after the warranty expired, the glass top made a pop noise and cracked like a spider web on the lower right burner and spread. We called LG, explained the situation and told them this seems a factory part defect. They politely blamed us of dropping something on the glass which was 100% false and they used we are sorry to gently fade their fault with this. We let it go - not to waste our time. Price of a new glass top is near $400. Couple month after the new range top was installed the new glass top cracked again. It couldnt happen at a better time but Christmas Eve 2016, with having family over, around 4 pm while food cooking, the glass top made a loud pop noise and broke again on the lower right burner. Here was my experience with LG Range and dealing with the company who took the easy road to blame the customer for their defective part. Now I have an expensive LG range-oven with another broken glass top. My recommendation: Stay away from LG Range with glass top.
