The refrigerator is new and has been working very well. We purchased this refrigerator on sale and it was delivered and set up. It has an ice maker that makes chipped and cubed ice, and makes more ice than you can use. It has filtered water in the door. It has a bottom freezer drawer that holds a bin for the ice cubes and a lot of frozen items. It has separate drawers in the interior of the refrigerator that are separately cooled. So you can keep your beer at a certain temperature while you watch the super bowl. It is a charcoal color and looks nice. The only thing I dont like is the lights of the control panel are blue behind a black panel and makes it hard to see when you are trying to order water or ice.

I purchased model RF260BEAEBC/AA in June 2105. Now waiting on my 5th service call. Each call requires 1-2 week wait for service. I have had two compressors and expect another. All my food is lost yet again. Samsung tells me they never replace as long as they can continue repairing. I am so frustrated. I cannot afford a new replacement and have now considered getting a good used one on Craigslist. I paid thousands and cannot get a working refrigerator.

Weve had our Samsung microwave for almost 3 years and we dont usually use it as wed rather use gas to cook or heat food than use the microwave. So far, its okay and its working for its function although the self-cleaning feature does not work well. The manual that comes along with it says the self-cleaning feature can help eliminate the odor but it doesnt seem to be working. We have to use conventional methods like using baking soda to eliminate odor trapped in the microwave... I wont really recommend Samsung microwaves if you have other and better choices.

We have had our dishwasher 13 months, 1 month too long apparently. It was working perfectly, used approximately every other day. Then one day, it started to malfunction, stopping 10-15 minutes after we start a load, with an error message SE. Look up that code to find that its a draining problem. Ok, no problem. Disconnect the hoses, clean out the water, see that the hose is draining well, and reconnect. Load runs perfectly. Next load, the message happens again. This time, I remove the entire hose, clean it out. Reattach, runs perfectly. Happens again after the next load.Called Samsung, they stated sorry, your warranty is expired. Well, of course it is. Why would you warranty your product for more than 12 months? Ok, so thats fair. I ask for suggestions. Instead, the person I get at the 1-800-Samsung can hardly speak English, is talking SO quietly I can hardly hear her over the noise of the call center, and is basically just repeating what I am telling her. ZERO help at all. Tells me to just turn the power on and off then offers me some numbers for people to call to get authorized service. Tonight, after the 4th time of the SAME error message happening, we drain it, leave it unattached to the drain and have it drain into a bucket. Its draining fine, wonderfully in fact, but again, while watching it drain, we get the SE message, the same message that states we have an error with our drainage system. So, its one of two problems, a motor or an electrical. Either one is UNACCEPTABLE for a 13 month old dishwasher. Every single one of my appliances is a Samsung product, and because of this incident, I have absolutely zero faith in the other products. The thing that is now really bothering me is all the negative reviews of this product. How is it possible that this product is considered a high end product when I cannot find a single review to substantiate that? We spent almost $800 on this thing. Thats ridiculous, and to only get 13 months out of it. To get it repaired is going to cost us $200 for the service call and whatever the cost of the part that we need. I think we should just replace it but again, that makes me so mad because we shouldnt have to be replacing ANYTHING at 13 months. Im so upset Im crying. Shame on Samsung. Shame on you.

The ice maker stopped working after 2 years. The refrigerator portion turned into a cooler...after 4 years. This was a $4,000 fridge. Currently working with Samsung for a refund. Our French door Samsung refrigerator, with a bottom drawer freezer, was good for about 2 years, when the ice maker started frosting over and failing to drop ice in the bin. I have this induction range NE58H9970WS for 4 months now. Since the beginning the oven did not hold temperature and food was coming out undercooked. I had the same technician come out three times and replaced bunch of parts with no success. Samsung refused to send a different technician unless I was willing to pay for it. They told me the issue was that I didnt know how to use the oven and that the upper oven was not for baking?!?! Then they told me that I did not understand what customer support was! Really? Thanks for not supporting me, customer support! Im not buying anything else Samsung. I would encourage you to weigh your options carefully!

I need a freezer department handles for RF263AFRS Fridge manufactured NOV 2010, handles have grey plastic parts that go inside the fridge and hold handle by screws. Handle is not broken, it just cannot hold to the fridge anymore because of the broken parts on both ends. I spent 3 months looking for these parts. Called Samsung and the phone #s given by them, no one has these grey plastic parts. Wrote Samsung customer care email asking for help. They got back to me with template saying I should call their customer service (I know the phone # by heart already!). Its been a few months now the fridge is broken. I have difficulty accessing the freezer because of it. The part I am looking for the freezer handle is actually a part of the whole freezer door and to make things a little worse, that freezer door is no longer available. Same fridge broke on month 13th, after 12 month warranty. It was making ice on the back of the fridge. Part was $170 and $150 was the labor. I am very dissatisfied with the product. It was expensive fridge and I was hoping to be able to use it for a while. Now, people from Samsung, how to find these broken parts. Please help!

Bought Samsung fridge in 2011, bottom freezer, french doors, model RF217ACRS. In November 2013, 6 months ago, water started to appear in the vegetable drawer. I had it repaired for over $300 and the technician told me that it was a design flow and that he has seen dozens of Samsung fridges with this problem. Last week, the problem surfaced again. The technician said he had implemented the repair recommended by Samsung and that he can do it again, but theres no guarantee it wont happen again. Needless to say I cancelled the service as I dont want to pay $300 every six months. Im waiting for Samsung service to get back to me...

We had a Kenmore before and I didnt even have to rinse the dishes and there was never an odor.Weve only had this a month, Ive checked the filter which was clean, and I cant say the Samsung name being noted for quality has carried through to this item. This 16-month-old Samsung microwave had the dreaded SE error code. I tried unplugging it to recycle and nothing worked. After reading all of the reviews, I knew I was doomed. I called Sears only to find out it was a common problem. And, as the previous complaints say, it will cost more than a brand new one to fix. I also read where it was a known problem with the keyboard circuit and yet Samsung still would not give the consumer a break by recalling it. I then read one entry in Google regarding the problem which said to hold the cancel and reset button down at the same time. I didnt have those buttons, but held down the clear and start buttons at the same time - say 3 seconds, at most. Well, I held on for dear life for about 20 seconds. All of a sudden, the unit started beeping. I let go - and oh, my God, it reset! It seems to be working fine now! This is obviously a scam by someone. Otherwise, why is this fix not mentioned anywhere? It looks like I stumbled across a $300 secret. Hopefully, this helps others. By the way, even if a tech came out and was able to do the same thing, it still would have cost the $75. What a shame.

Samsung Two Sided Refrigerator (Model RS22HDHPNSR). Bought summer of 2015 at Best Buy. By early 2016, when trying to replace the water filter the first time, the filters didnt fit. The teeth of the locking system didnt even look the same. When I called to have it serviced, Samsung came out. Technician explained that the filter system has changed since the make of my fridge. He changed out the whole system as he said it should have been done before the purchase. Now today, April 2017, the filter literally popped out of the system, cracking the plastic filter head off and water gushing all over my kitchen floor. Two problems within less than two years for a fridge valued $2,000! Theres no words for that!!

I bought the refrigerator from Lowes 5/5/09. Lowes delivered six units before finding one with properly spaced doors. The first indication that I might have purchased a defective product became evident when the ice maker malfunctioned. There was a weekly ice jam inside the compartment. If it wasnt cleared, the ice was no longer dispensed. When kept empty the ice maker worked, dumping ice into the door with sound that could only be likened to that heard at a bowling alley. It would cause me to jump out of bed during the night.Soon after the jams appeared, I began to find pieces of white plastic in drinks when the ice dispenser was used. Over a year ago I began to see rust coming through the finish around the water/ice dispenser. I notified Samsung early on when the ice maker was jamming up and was told I needed to schedule an appointment for service. Well, forget that! There is no one who services Samsung where I live. Yes, there is a dealer in a nearby town, but they refused to service what they didnt sell!I was fed up with this unsightly appliance and decided to post my problem on Samsung Appliance USA Facebook page. I received the typical Samsung condescending response, You need to schedule a service call. Read my lips Samsung, there is no service. Ill get rid of this one and try another. I dont recommend buying anything from Samsung just because of the attitude regarding SERVICE! They will not stand behind their product. No, this isnt my first time experiencing a problem with Samsung!

Again. Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator #RF263BEAESR/AA and within the first year we had to have several service calls for the ice maker freezing up and dripping down the fridge into the crisper drawer and ruining all the food also causing bad smells. The serviceman even showed us the design flaws and how to melt the ice but it was always a temporary fix as it continues to happen. We do not even try to use the ice maker at this point. We always keep a bag of ice in the bottom freezer. We are currently living out of two coolers for our daily essential foods as now the fridge is not getting cold enough and the freezer is not working. This was not a cheap purchase. I cannot believe all the problems and now having to not have use of the fridge at all. We have filed with the class action suit but right now hoping to find out that there was a recall.

Our 3 year old Samsung side-by-side with all the bells and whistles stopped cooling, both freezer and refrig side. After dealing with the noise created by freezing up inside freezing and fan hitting the ice, we learned to defrost it for a while then it worked. But now, after turning back on after defrosting a FROST FREE unit, the whole thing stopped working. Called Samsung and was told no warranty left on this appliance. Their repair company would take several days to come out, so I had my own repair person come look at it. They replaced several things, then came to the conclusion it was the compressor. This person even went online and discovered that there was supposed to be a 5 year warranty on the compressor that no one at Samsung told me about. I called back to Samsung to complain that I was technically deceived by not being told about the warranty. They said Too bad my technician had voided that warranty by trying to fix the thing and they would not honor any part of warranty. I am furious! I spoke with the highest department I could get to in Samsung with no success. I even asked for a CEO or someone like that who would listen to my complaint: Nothing. Now In stuck with a 300 pound paperweight~ wonder if it worth putting a new compressor in it since nearly everything else has been replaced? Dont Buy Samsung Appliances!!

Ice maker will constantly freeze over. Inside the back panel will turn into a block of ice freezing up the fan. Very expensive for an appliance that lasts four years (or less). Save yourself the hassle and money and roll the dice on another brand. Purchased July 2015. Must replace after only 4.5 years. Thats pitiful for a $2000+ appliance. We called Samsung for the 3rd time speaking to an Executive Customer Relations person and he said could only will send someone out again at our expense again & if it cannot be repaired theyd decide what to do next. We just bought (September 2019 ) a 23 cu ft Samsung Model RF23R6201. The freezer operates at 15 degrees Fahrenheit higher temperature than it should! It is supposed to be at minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit but it is actually at plus 10 degrees Fahrenheit (I have verified this with two Refrigerator Thermometers). A Samsung repairman came by a couple of days ago (after a one week delay!) and supposedly fixed the problem with a software update which did not improve the performance of the Refrigerator at all! I am not one to write product reviews but am so disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator. We bought our French Door Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago from Home Depot when we built our home. I loved it!!! Then about 3 months ago the refrigerator showed problems with cooling and the lowest temp we could maintain was 44 degrees and often cooled at 46. We had a Samsung certified tech come out and work on the refrigerator and he found coolant leaking. After a call to Samsung, Samsung told the tech the refrigerator could not be fixed. Now we are waiting Samsungs final decision as to what will be done. With Thanksgiving next week looks like I will be out buying a new refrigerator and it will NOT NOT NOT be a Samsung.

Lets start with rust. Within the first 8 months, the entire front of this stainless, EXPENSIVE refrigerator that I bought at HOME DEPOT, was COVERED in rust spots. Home Depot said to look to the manufacturer warranty. However Samsung wouldnt do ANYTHING because they said that it did not affect functionality. The HECK?! If you bought a brand new car and it was covered with rust within the first year, heck, 3 years, dont you KNOW that the manufacturer would have either replaced or corrected. This brand is for crap. Let go to functionality. The humidity controlled drawers do NOT control humidity. They are CONSTANTLY wet and RUIN the foods placed in them NO MATTER THE SETTING. We have to keep towels in the bottom or take up space with boxes of Arm&Hammer. Ridiculous. The setting print on the drawers has already begun to WASH OFF, yes WASH OFF with just regular wipe downs. This year and a half old fridge looks and functions as if its TEN years old. I cant wait to get rid of it. Maybe Ill buy one of their cell phones and blow it up. The ICE MAKER... Also terrible. The ice doesnt fall evenly or have a guard on the back. So all of the ice falls into the back of the tray. When you open it, a rush of ice falls out the back of the freezer drawer. No idea how much is back there at this point. I suppose Ill have to get it out eventually... Somehow. Smaller inconveniences: The shelves in this fridge are completely white, not clear. So any small jar or other item you have stored in them will never be seen. And will likely be forgotten. Additionally, the glass shelves are not removable like so many other refrigerators. So if you experience a spill, theres no way of getting the substance out of the crevices of the plastic and the glass. I literally hate this refrigerator. Its utterly worthless. And is NOT QUIET. If youre looking to buy a fridge and interested in this one, Ive got one Ill sell ya CHEAP.

New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago
We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes and initially were very satisfied with the features. Within a few weeks, however, the icemaker stopped dispensing ice. Tried all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, still no ice. I then removed the front of the icemaker (no small feat, see comments further on). The side of the icemaker was completely packed up with a large glob of ice. I defrosted this with a hairdryer and the icemaker again worked. Two weeks later, same problem, and get out the hairdryer. Every two weeks the icemaker packs up and has to be defrosted. We were in Lowes for a different matter but stopped by the appliance department and engaged the person who sold us the refrigerator on the issue with our Samsung. He said this was a common complaint with Samsungs in general and that Samsung had been working on a solution for a while. Seems the icemaking unit is poorly insulated from the refrigerator section in which its located, so humidity seeps in and causes the icemaker to freeze up. To date, according to the salesman, Samsung has yet to come up with a solution (another issue - if Lowes knew this to be the case, why did they not advise potential purchasers of this problem?). In addition to the freezing up issue, the front of the icemaker unit is almost impossible to remove, even using the removal method stated in the manual. The icemaker issue makes this refrigerator next to worthless, and since to my knowledge Samsung has yet to correct the problem, its a question of poor engineering foisted on an unsuspecting public. This refrigerator is a poorly designed piece of junk and so best avoided. Based on my experience with this product, I would never even consider buying another Samsung refrigerator.

I scrolled down and read the reviews until the Dec. 28, 2010 entry where I found someone who had the same dishwasher as I have: DMR57. I loaded my dishwasher last night, put in the soap and shut the door to start it. When I touched the start button, it was dead. The whole touch panel was dead. Thinking somehow a breaker had blown, I checked on that and it had not. The machine was just dead. My husband is an electrician, but he didnt even get a chance to check the electrical. He shut the door and something inside, the latch broke. Now the door doesnt latch. We bought this unit in September 2008. After having it for two weeks back then, we called the service department explaining how touchy the control panel was. If you just skimmed the panel, you could turn it on or off. The instrument was replaced but it is still extremely sensitive. We began to put the touch panel in the child lock mode when in use and when not in use. By doing so protected the touch panel; we couldnt turn it on or off. It is awful when the dishwasher is on and in mid-wash cycle and you accidentally touch or skim the panel and the whole machine is turned off. This dishwasher does not restart from where the cycle was shut off. You have to restart the wash cycle from the beginning. Weve decided to replace the dishwasher with another brand instead of fixing this one. Dishwashers should last some 10-15 years. We will not be buying a Samsung. Refrigerator Model # RF28HMEDBSR - have had many issues with water leaking, first on the left side, and then now also water coming out on the front side. I put rags around the bottom of the fridge so my family does not slip and fall as I have slipped already walking to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The water is coming out more and more, have to replace the rags every few hours to prevent accidents. I called Samsung for help and they emailed me a pdf file instructing me how to make sure the fridge is level. There was nothing wrong with it being level and its still leaking worse than ever. Called Samsung back and they said they can refer me to a company that can repair my fridge. Samsung only warranties the fridge for one year, after that I have to pay for labor and parts to repair this issue. I researched online and found that this is a common issue with other Samsung Refrigerators. Here is the link for the class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for selling their defective product. **. Repair company charges $100 for diagnostic. Then we wait for them to order the parts (Temp sensor, Assembly Cover Evap and Leakage Kit) which costs over $125 plus more labor charges for them to install it. And we are not sure this will even resolve the problem. Stay away from Samsung appliances. I also have a Samsung stove that all the knobs have broken off. Samsung will charge you over $50 per knob to replace them. Pieces of junk, faulty appliances, Samsung should not sell their defective products to consumers.

Simply DO NOT BUY IT! The SAMSUNG dishwasher DW80F600UTB is by far the worst purchase that everyone shall avoid. Acquired one unit in Aug 31, 2013 at Future Shop Calgary, Canada. The machine was delivered on Sept 6, 2013. It worked marginally well up to Nov 3, 2013 (not even 2 months of use). On this fatidic day, the machine started leaving food residue and unfinished, not washed glasses, and from this point and on, my WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! In a nutshell, I spent hours and hours on the phone with SAMSUNG (UN)SUPPORT Services(?). They sent me one local (not SAMSUNG) technician that pinpointed several problems (from the Pump up to Water Pressure). After 7 (SEVEN) visits and lots of parts replacement, the technician finally agreed that the machine was NO GOOD! Note: SAMSUNG will only replace your dishwater if their technician agrees that the machine is NO GOOD. In July 2014, I received the NEW UNIT from SAMSUNG but need to pay freight and installation again. The new unit worked marginally well up to February 2015.At this point I decided to wash the same batch of dishes at least 3 and 4 times, and tomorrow (Dec 28, 2015) I will buy a REAL DISHWASHER! This DW80F600UTB has serious design issues not recognized by SAMSUNG. On this regard, I would like to join BORIS of Calgary to enter in a fully documented and water-tight lawsuit against SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG must understand that we, customers, are not idiots nor money grow on trees to be spent in such a JUNK equipment.

We purchased a Samsung stove/oven 4 years ago. After 2 years the oven would not heat to the desired temperature (Took 2 hours to get to 400 or more, if it even did). Had a very hard time getting anyone to even work on a Samsung appliance. Finally found a very reputable repairman in the area willing to repair it and he told us this is an ongoing issue with them. Faulty igniter that goes out. He fixed it - $250... (no guarantees - saying it could work 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 years?). It lasted 2 years. I am done. Went and bought a recommended Whirlpool. Samsung has very good electronics (I have had my Samsung Edge for 6 years, DVR for 8 years), but terrible appliances. Dont buy any Samsung appliances!!! I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I never have before, but I am so disappointed and upset by the waste of $!!!

Refrigerator started icing up in the back just after the first year was up. Got Samsung to pay for the parts but we had to pay for the service call. Now another year and a half later the same thing is happening and the service rep told us they have a fix for the first fix. We have to wait an entire week to get our refrigerator back to working order. The parts need to be ordered and it has to thaw out to get the back panel off. Called Samsung again and this time the manager of the woman I talked to said they will not cover the parts because the warranty had run out. I have a Maytag refrigerator that we use for beverages that has run for 24 years with no problems and dont know what I would do without it. No more Samsung for us. The Samsung replaced a GE refrigerator we had for 24 years with no problems.

The Refrigerator side freezes everything on the warmest setting. Im replacing the Refrigerator in December and I will not be buying a Samsung.

I purchased Samsungs top-of-the-line French-door Refrigerator Model no. RF4287HARS and dishwasher DMT800RHS from Lowes in November 2010. The dishwasher broke down within just a few weeks. It took 3 weeks to get parts, then a week later it broke again. Eleven months after purchase, the LCD panel started acting up on the fridge. Some icons no longer work, and the right side fridge door wont seal very well so items dont stay cold. After several frustrating calls to Lowes for service, I finally got a call from their authorized repair person who told me its not under warranty any more. We argued and I had to call Lowes again where I was assured it is under warranty still. I got another call from the service person telling me Samsung told them its not under warranty. And again, another call to Lowes where I am told its under warranty. The next day, I got a call from Lowes telling me that it was never registered as sold with Samsung so theyre using the manufacturing date for the 1-year warranty date. I had registered the appliances when I bought them but Lowes hadnt bothered to inform Samsung.A day or so later I got another call saying Samsung has now been informed of the sale date and that its under warranty. Now I cant get anybody to work on Samsung. Even their authorized repair centers say they wont work on Samsung appliances anymore because Samsung wont reimburse them for mileage for the numerous trips it takes to repair a Samsung product, extreme difficulty obtaining parts, and Samsung is an extremely slow payer. I talked to Samsung and asked if they would pay for the parts if I paid a service person and they refused. I offered to pay the service centers myself and they refused to even come look at it. I now have a $2,800 piece of junk and it looks like Im going to have to sue Samsung.

Our Samsung 26 cu ft french door refrigerator (RF267AERS) is only 4 years old and were shopping for a new one. The coils in the back of the fridge behind the plastic panel freeze up and block the fan. The fan gets louder and louder until we unload the whole thing and take an entire day to defrost it. Sometimes the ice on the coils does melt and then it flows down under the deli drawer and inside the deli drawer because of the frozen up drain hole (also behind the plastic panel). I often have to break up sheets of ice under the deli drawer as well. The seals on the fridge doors are already breaking too! I called Samsung and gave them my model number and told them the problem and they told me to call a certified repair company. From the research Ive done online that will cost me $300 and they will just do what we have done which is to defrost the coils, then it will just happen all over again. Ill never buy another Samsung.

Its been two years and after trying everything to fix the problem of unclean dishes, I finally looked up the reviews. How could a company let this kind of crap out of their factories and put their name on it!? Ive never had to repair it. It just doesnt clean dishes, even dishes that were put in there pre-cleaned. It had to be defrosted twice a week. When there was a power surge, or outage. The refrigerator would turn off. It had to be pulled out from wall. Unplugged for a couple minutes then reset. I never knew when it would shut off.

On August 3, 2015 my Samsung Microwave SMH2117S caught on fire and nearly burned down my house. I had notified Samsung about five weeks prior to the fire to report that the microwave was coming on by itself when you would open the door. I was told at that time there was nothing they could do unless I purchased their almost $400.00 extended warranty. I refuse to as the microwave was only one-year-old. And then two days before the fire, the microwave started coming on by itself without anyone even touching it. I then decided to simply replace it. Two days later as I was getting ready to replace it, it caught fire and did major damage to my home. Samsung is coming out to my damaged home in the morning.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.

From owning a Samsung TV we felt we could trust the brand by buying a dishwasher from the company. How wrong can one be. It seems they have no idea how a simple dishwasher works. Darn thing runs for over 2 hours and the dishes dont come out very clean. We have to prewash them which is a real bummer. UNCLEAN stuff collects under the door frame at the bottom of the washer which needs to be wiped off. It was black like mold. This is a box that is supposed to clean and stay clean and it isnt. Id expect the company recall these units as they are not healthy. We paid a lot of money for this poorly designed machine and I am thinking about taking it back to Best buy whom I bought it from. Not their problem as they just carry the brand. .

I believe Samsung on purpose! made an oven that does not allow you to put foil on the bottom of the oven to catch any spills. Knowing most people do put the foil on the bottom; this is the way they get more money from the consumer because the melting foil and the damage of the coating that came off is not covered by the warranty. I had 2 service people come out 4 months after purchase for another problem and neither of them said anything about the foil that was on the bottom of the oven. Your own service people are not educated about the products they are working on. Now I have an oven I can no longer use. Its less than a 1 year old. Purchased on 4/17/19.It says in the manual page 8, (But not in Bold) that the foil could cause electric shock or catch fire. That seems pretty important but you didnt bother to make that in Bold. Because you want people to use the foil/liner and ruin their ovens. You put stupid things in bold like, use care when toughing the cooktop. Like I need to be told that! Really Samsung, you have gone backwards in developing new products. Why would you design something that not every oven user will know what not to do unless they read your user manual. What about when you sell a house. Should the new owners automatically know that your oven could cause an electric shock or catch fire because they put a liner on the bottom of the oven. It seem like your lack of care for your customers really speaks volume of what kink of people you are! You set your customers up to fail, and that makes you a big failure! The oven already does not follow the California law of not having any cancer causing materials. Wow! Samsung, thanks again for caring so much about your buyer! You had a designer who was not educated on why the foil on the bottom of the oven is so important. And probably has never used an oven. Pay attention to your buyers! Get better designers who have experience in using the product! Just because they have a college degree does not mean they know anything about what they are designing! I will make sure I let everyone I know not to buy Samsung and why!

Samsung is stalling on my repair/replacement request until I pass the manufacturer warranty. I contacted Samsung several times requesting that they either service or replace my refrigerator. The refrigerator is constantly leaking in the drawers, the freezer and the floors and does not cool well at the recommended temperature. The representative transferred me to an incorrect service department. Second time around, they kept me for 1.5 hours and claimed they can’t find the serial number to match the model and asked me to send them a copy- I did. Still no feedback or contact from Samsung or its service dept. The company is ignoring the American consumer! There is so many consumer complaints about Samsung refrigerators having the same issues as I report. These are not small ticket items. It is about time for Samsung to own up to its bad products and recall these refrigerators. My old refrigerator by a different manufacturer lasted 50 years. The Samsung refrigerators did not last 6 months. It is time for Consumers Affairs and the Attorney General to order Samsung to recall its products and to reimburse its consumers for every refrigerator with problems. It is time for Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General to prohibit Samsung from selling its refrigerators in the US! Thank you.

I completely outfitted my kitchen with new, stainless (I thought!) top of the line Samsung appliances. The convection microwave oven board stopped working day one. I returned to store for completely new replacement. Within a week - the same issue. Board replaced four times. Last time just after one year. Problem continued during that time, but I couldnt miss work for repairman to come. Repair tech had said board problem caused from heat of stove. This is an above stove unit meeting all necessary height specs. As a courtesy Samsung offered $430 if I cut the cord and removed serial plate (13 months after purchase of a $700 product with $150 installation!!). I cant replace it for that amount. I also have gas convection range ($1500), the broiler doesnt work. The flames on one burner are HUGE (they licked around pan and caught dinner on fire!) And oven got so hot it MELTED the knobs - apparently they are not metal as they appear but a metal look skin that melts with heat and is also chipping off. Replacement of knobs = $150 only to have it happen again... Additionally my french door Refrigerator ($2800) with two drawers makes a super loud squealing noise. After discussing with a friend, found out she had the same problem with her Samsung appliances. DO NOT BUY!!! NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT or concern for satisfaction. My products are only 16 months old.

We bought our counter depth refrigerator in May of 2015. After six months the ice maker stopped working. We had a Samsung service person come out to fix it. He informed us that he had numerous calls about this type of ice maker and it is one of the worse design he has seen. I have tried contacting Samsung many times about this ice maker for this model and never heard anything back. I wrote several more times and received nothing back. Now with all their phone issues I tried again and of course got a blah blah blah letter that was completely useless. I wrote back stating that Ive done everything on their list. This letter wants me to use their Samsung people to have it serviced. Ive already purchased Geek Squad from Best Buy extended warranty. Now the ice maker has completely stopped working. Also if anyone has suggestions on what to do about this issue please respond. If anyone is having similar problems could you please write about it here. I would like to get a list going so that as a group we may get something done to help all of us. Also if considering a Samsung appliance do not buy!!!

I purchased an 9187 OTC Microwave in 2010. In 2012 and again in 2014, I have had to replace the control panel due to the 5E error. Samsung insists this is normal, that the electronics routinely fail during the life of the appliance. I have tried isolating the ribbon cable as suggested by some comments, without success. Absolute horror story so far with Samsung Customer Service. New Samsung Refrigerator Model RF31FMEDBSR/AA was received and installed September 30, 2013. Worked fine until day before Thanksgiving. Freezer stopped working and all food for holiday was ruined as well as party to be held. Contacted Samsung at 1-800-726-7864 Wednesday morning and explained our problem in full. We were told we would receive a call back 24-48 hours for help. Samsung finally called back the following Monday. Samsung stated they would give us a reference number and would be assigning the repair work to USSI who, in turn, would call us back for the service work to be conducted. USSI was then supposed to contact Samsung informing them what parts would be needed to correct the condition with the refrigerator. I asked how would they know what parts to order if they did not have anyone, initially, look at the refrigerator to know exactly what the problem was. Per USSI, they would call me back when they receive the parts from Samsung. I called Samsung on December 13, 2013 asking what the status was regarding the parts as I had not received a call back from USSI. Samsung representative told me USSI received the parts on December 11th but failed to call letting us know when a technician would come to our house for repair work. On Sunday morning, December 15th, the technician called stating he would be at our house between 3:00 and 5:00 P.M. A little after 3:00 PM, he showed up and replaced two items (Evap cover, Main PCB) and then left. Next morning, the refrigerator had a lower temperature than before and the freezer was not functioning at all. December 16, 2013, I called Samsung back and was put on hold for three times after explaining my problem. The fourth time I called, I spoke with a woman (Sherry) who informed me that the repair work would be handed over to another company known as All American Appliance at 386-631-0076, who would be calling me back for an appointment. After not receiving a call from All American or Samsung, I called All American to learn my status. A woman informed me that they received information from Samsung but they were not servicing my area. I asked for their location and was told they are located in Daytona Beach, Florida. Next, I informed the woman that their location is 5 miles from my house and would be in their immediate work area. She replied that they could not send anyone out until after the end of the year - December 31, 2013. I called Samsung back and they stated they would be assigning another company but I would not know what company until I get a call back between 24-48 hours.

This service request on a new fridge was a nightmare. Thier service company OMB/friends tek is so unprofessional. They called me to schedule time. Hung up on me the first time. They did not call back, but put in notes that I hung up on them. When I called back, waited on hold 45 mins. Then was disconnected. Called back. Waited 30 more minutes. I called right back and went through the same scenario. 3rd time they called, I answered and was able to s he duke a service call 1 week later. This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. Samsungs failure to respond appropriately and ongoing issues with this vendor(as referenced in online reviews) will cause me to never buy a Samsung product again (we also have 2 Samsung TV’s).

I bought RF28HDEDBSR Samsung french door refrigerator in Nov 2014 from Home Depot Canada with ESP for 4 years. Come Feb 2017, the refrigerator started making annoying sounds, sometimes for the whole day. I requested a service under ESP with Comerco. Response I got that as long as the sound is not affecting the functionality of the unit, they cant fix it. Within a week or so the fridge stopped working (freezer part was fine). I filed another complaint to Comerco, the technician visited us and said a part needs to be replaced and it would take 1-2 weeks to come as it was back ordered. We were without the fridge for more than 2 weeks. Anyways, within 10 days or so the part was replaced and we were able to use the fridge. Like they say good times never last for long, it happened again. The refrigerator stopped working again in August 2017 (similar to the last time it started with the unit making loud noise). I called up Comerco again, this time I asked them to provide me a permanent solution to the problem. Its been more than a week now when we are without the fridge. According to comerco, it might take another 1-2 weeks to get it fixed as the part is back ordered (as usual). So big NO to the Samsung refrigerators. Problems with Home Depots extended service plan with comerco will be explained in a different review.

Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher less than 2 years ago and what a piece of garbage. My previous dishwasher lasted 30 years and it was a Kenmore. I called a local repair company and they said they do not service Samsung as parts are very expensive and hard to get. I phoned Leons in Collingwood where I got this junk and they gave me a phone number in Owen Sound. The technician came and told us something leaked onto the motor and would cost $600.00 to fix. So we paid $200.00 for service call and this piece of junk will go to the scrap yard. And unfortunately I bought a Samsung refrigerator and hopefully it will last more than 2 years. But I will be purchasing a different product very shortly and it will not be a Samsung brand.

Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost or chip ice out every month or so. This is a flaw with how the ice maker is mounted and does not create a sealed compartment, allowing warmer air from the refrigerator section to enter the ice making space. Touch Screen:My first fridge came with a broken touch screen. It was active but the touch did not work all the time. For whatever reason they could not obtain the part so they RMA-ed (Return Merchandise Approval) my refrigerator and replaced with the same model -under warranty. The second refrigerator came the same way. This time they were able to obtain the part using a third party repair company and the screen was fixed. Apparently the first screen had a broken connection that the technician was able to see once he removed the part. He suspected the connection was possibly broken during transport and explicitly installers holding/carrying the door by holding the ice dispenser region. Apparently there is a flexible piece of plastic that pushes up into the screen. I recommend for anyone with this refrigerator to take extra precautions not to move the fridge by holding the ice maker region. Applications:When I first got the refrigerator there were several useful apps (including: AP News, Pandora, a recipe application, weather bug, google calendar, etc) with the indication that more apps were going to be coming in the near future. No new applications have come. Weather Bug stopped working 2 years ago. AP News just went off line. Pandora and recipe apps just disappeared one day. To make it worse many people on the Samsung site have been trying to get a response about the applications and Samsung never responds. My opinion is to stay away from any Smart-screen Samsung refrigerators: they are only a novelty that Samsung does not seem to support.

In less than 1 year the so called black stainless finish is peeling off both oven doors of our SAMSUNG ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN NE59J850 where the handles attach. Samsung calls it a cosmetic issue and will not address repair. The finish is tissue thin and simply comes off with a sponge. We spent big dollars on this fridge and expected quality. We are a couple and have not put a lot of use on this fridge. At exactly 5 years, we started hearing a grinding fan noise in the back of the fridge. It got worse over the next week. Called a 5 star appliance repair company to come and take a look. We found out the problem is the evaporative cooling fan for the fridge. It is going to be a $350.00 repair. The repairman was very knowledgeable about the unit. He told us that Samsung refrigerators keep him employed. He also told us that we were the lucky ones having the refrigerator for 5 years with no other problems. He was a wealth of information, all of it bad for the longevity and costs that we could expect in the future. We decided to repair it and hope for the best. Repairman brought the new part back a week later. Unwrapped the bubble wrap to have a piece of plastic go flying. Part was broken and could not be used. He apologized and said that he would have to reorder and he could not guarantee that it would last even one year. We then decided to rethink our decision. After reading literally thousands of online reviews, we decided to cut our losses and run. Used our Labor Day weekend to seek out and purchase a new Made in America refrigerator. Money we had not intended on spending but glad to be out from under the Samsung brand. We have to wait for our new refrigerator and the fan noise is so loud now after 2 1/2 weeks that we can hardly hear one another to converse in our kitchen/family great room. Our daughter has been having problems with her ice maker on her Samsung from one year on, constant problem and royal pain. No fix in sight for hers either. One would think that Samsung would get a clue and improve their product but NO that is not what is happening. They knowingly continue to sell faulty and substandard products. We will tell everyone we know to walk away before they even consider a Samsung fridge. We wish someone had told us... If I could have given a worse star selection than 1, I would have... Save yourself a lot of grief and money~~DON’T BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

Waited a week for service dept to come to assess the problem with my refrigerator. Paid the service dept.$120.00 to tell me yes, its broken. Service came yesterday to tell me everything needs to be replaced. Water is pooling in the crisper, temp. not being held, sensor needs to be replaced, etc., etc... to the tune of 720.00. Now I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to get back to me. The refrigerator model # RF 263AERS was purchased in 2011 and is out of warranty. Cant believe that a refrigerator that cost over $1,000.00 should only last 7 years. Why do I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to talk to me. We are now going into week 2 with the fridge not working. Very unhappy with this product and even more unhappy with the customer service.

The dishwasher has NEVER cleaned the dishes well. You have to wash them before you put them in the dishwasher. A repairman came out to fix it under warranty after a month and could not find anything wrong with it. It leaves food on the dishes and silverware. It has features similar to others of this price range, but they arent labeled very well and you are left wondering if you did something wrong to make the dishwasher clean so poorly. Normal dishwasher size. I would never buy a Samsung product again, whether it was a phone, a TV, dishwasher, anything.

This is going to be good. So go to the bathroom, grab a drink, sit down and get comfortable. In January last year, I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, a TV along with a washer and dryer. The total of the purchase was close to $6,000. The refrigerator decided it was not going to dispense water at Thanksgiving. We called and scheduled an appointment for service. We were told it was the panel at the front of the fridge. I took a morning off work and waited for three and half hours only for the tech to turn up and look at the fridge and say it is not the panel. It is the circuit board at the back. They would return a couple of weeks later to replace the circuit board. When the tech was at my house, I asked him to look at my Samsung 55 LED TV. I had a red dot in the middle of the screen. I had called Samsung before and they said that was acceptable. I argued the point, that the TV did not look like it in the store! The tech took one look at the TV and said that is not right and to call and get them to fix it. I called again to Samsung and complained again. I was put through to the executive customer relations. They then said they would fix it! Right! We scheduled a service appointment for the refrigerator and the TV. The service company was a mess and could not get anything handled. After multiple calls to them, a tech arrived at the house the Saturday before Christmas. Three hours later, still working on the fridge, the tech reached the conclusion it was not the front panel, not the circuit board in the back, but a bad ground on the fridge. Then he was about to leave and my wife reminded him about the TV. The TV was removed from the wall and he put a new panel in it and left it on the floor. I said I would hang it up when I get home. Little did I know the TV was not tested. I put the TV on the wall, plugged it in and there was a big blue screen. Nothing! I called Samsung technical support, spoke to a very nice man and said he felt my pain and was amazed at what I have already been through as a customer.I called the service company and the owner then called me back and he said there was nothing he could do. I then explained that I know how the job should have been done and reminded him that techs should test their work before leaving! The conversation was just a bit embarrassing for him. I called Samsung again just after Christmas. (The fridge was working fine at this point.) I spoke to executive customer relations and we were promised a new TV. Great problem solved. Number of days went by again with no call to confirm; I finally called and was put through to executive customer relations. They told me that the approval had been denied. I asked why and why did it take me so long to find out why. I asked them to figure out why one person can say yes and the other say no and no reason why! I pushed and told them to call me back in an hour with an answer. They did and then I asked to speak to a supervisor and they could not and I asked if they could email me to confirm what they were going to do. They wanted to repair the TV. I said no due to the fact we have by this point spent hours on the phone with the TV and the fridge and the service company. They transferred me to another department, appliances. That did not make me happy. My wife filed a complaint with the Better Business. We have their attention now, I thought. They looked at the file and yes, they admitted to me their customer service has a few problems. I laughed and told them to be in my position. If I did this at my job, I would be fired. I also got a call from the guy in charge of repairs at Samsung. We had to let them fix the TV. We are done. We have taken enough time waiting, calling and taking time off work. No one could say here is a new TV. My wife and I decided to buy another TV (Sony) to use for temporary measure while we decided to have the TV repaired. By this time, it was the first part of January. The tech turned up, fixed the TV and it worked. I told him the full story and all he could do was shake his head. Even the company he works for was part of the problem. I then got a call from someone at Samsung asking if the TV was fixed and I spoke to a man late in the evening and explained that no customer should be put through the circus of what we have. He agreed on every point I made and was truly embarrassed that this had been such a nightmare.I know I have missed parts out on this like the multiple dropped calls and the fact that we never got a work order receipt for the work carried out by the service company! They did send us a $50 gift card at Best Buy for our troubles. We added up that it has cost us, a couple of days off work not to mention the hours on the phone to no avail. It is not the end. Now, it is the end of January and guess what! Yes, the fridge will not dispense the ice. I called again and asked for executive customer relations. I called on Thursday last week. I explained the previous repair and what a problem it was and they were going to call me within 48 hours. They were meant to call me and yes, that did not happen. I called again on Monday and stated I want a new fridge and to call me back with an answer. Forgot to mention 48 hours! Today, they called my wife and wanted to schedule a service on the fridge. So yet again, more time off work and more time wasted on the phone. Our next step is not going to be good. The senior staff at Samsung need to put down the crayons, stop crying and let go of the sippy cup, wipe their face off and get down to following up with customers. If they had to deal with this mess like I have, they would think a lot differently. Follow up is key.My company is one of the largest car manufactures in the world and it puts the customer first. We aim to make all our customers happy and brand loyalty is a must. Samsung, wake up and deal with customers in the right way. Executive customer relations is a joke. Just call it Piss Poor customer service. From basic telephone skills, dealing with one person, not running the customer around from person to person. Follow up, tech training, the list can go on. I will never buy another Samsung product in my life. Not even if you paid me.

4 Door Refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBWW/AA - Soon after receiving our new refrigerator we advised Samsung and they dispatched a service Tech from a highly regarded service provider. Samsung had sent a replacement front and auger, which they installed. The quality of the ice was not improved, and still many cubes were broken. We were away for the winter, and ice maker was turned off. Recently we had three successive issues with dairy products going sour prematurely, and loss of some beautiful steaks. The front panel assured me that temperature was 37. On the evening of June 5, 2016 I used two different digital thermometers and confirmed that problem was the main cooling (Upper) was registering 55 degrees F. I used a Taylor remote oven thermometer plus a fast (but not instant) digital cooking thermometer with 0.1 degree gradient. The following AM, June 6, as I was leaving the house for the day, I asked my wife to call Samsung and report the problem. That evening my wife informed me that the Samsung person asked her to unplug and then re-plug the power cord. The delivery team for our retailer had damaged the legs on the bottom of the unit, making it very difficult to move and access the power outlet. They have been slow in responding, and I will use this document to re-light a fire under them, as I am certain they will not be pleased to read their name here. I called Samsung that evening and advised that a technician was needed. They informed me that it would take several days before I heard from their agents. On the third evening past my call, I again called Samsung and was advised that there was no record of my prior call.On the 16th, the tech arrived and advised that this was a common issue caused by freeze-up of the evaporator coil in the upper refrigerator, and some new parts would also fix the ice problem. I called Samsung in an attempt to get the parts expedited, and when I requested to speak with the Samsung Service Manager I was advised that the person I was speaking with could not arrange a communication with a Samsung higher up and that absolutely nobody at Samsung would have a knife sharp enough to cut through the accumulated Samsung constipation. It is very clear that their telephone answering people have all submitted to a lobotomy before beginning work there and all they are allowed to do is read what appears on their computer screen.Due to the scheduling procedure, I was not able, until approximately 10:15, to learn if and in what time frame to anticipate the techs arrival! The tech WITH THE PARTS arrived just before 1PM on the 23rd of June. He spent several hours replacing parts, and I thought and hoped the problems were over. Ice is no better and temperatures are still warm. So today when I called, I immediately advised the computer that I would only speak with a service executive. After a 33 minute wait I got somebody in their Executive Service department. After a 15 minute conversation with him, I realized that he did not have any idea how a refrigerator worked and he placed me on A SHORT HOLD, to immediately transfer me to somebody in Refrigeration. At 1 hour and three minutes I was connected with somebody in the Dominican Republic that likely could not tell the difference between a digital thermometer and a rectal, EVEN if the digital device was inserted in his rectum. Do not ask about his comprehension of a refrigerator. He got me a reference number for the new service call at 1 hour and 20 minutes and indicated that I would hear from somebody that understood refrigeration in a day or two. THE PRECEDING WAS COMPOSED ON MONDAY EVENING, JUNE 27.Beginning on the second Tuesday of next week, I am going to begin holding my breath until Samsung discovers the concept that I invented: I have called it responsibility and service. Today, June 28, I heard from service company and learned that they will have a tech here on July 14. We are going to look for a phone number for Enterprise Refrigerator Rental, to get a loaner until somebody at Samsung elects to have our not quite one year old refrigerator deliver on its promise, keeping dairy and meat from souring prematurely, and making good ice.My 15 year old Amana did it quite well, seldom ran short and never failed to properly cool! It did not offer crushing or dispensing thru the door, but if Samsung cannot get those features right for 3 or 4 times the cost, maybe their future is in composting. I would love to discover the name and address of a responsible executive at Samsung and arrange for a second year med school student, with an interest in Proctology, to park this POS in an appropriate orifice! Is there a class action suit in process? IF SO, PLEASE SUPPLY DATA SO I CAN JOIN.

After complaining about the ice maker on the RF263 for over a year because of poor production, Samsung said nothing could be done to shorten the cycle time. I am getting about 1 cycle per four hours. Even with Power Freeze (as recommended in the owner’s manual).I called Samsung tech support and they said that power freeze would cause slower production of ice. They said that the filter should be changed more often than six months and that I should not be using a whole house (huge) water filter. They asked me to press the reset button (and hold for 8 seconds), which I did and the ice dumped. They said not to expect ice for 12 hours and that I should be getting a dump about every 1 and 1/2 hours.Furthermore, the OM says to flush the new filter with at least six gallons of water – without telling me how to flush it! I asked why none of this was discussed in the woefully inadequate owner’s manual. Whats more, all the techs know is what is written down in front of them, without having any knowledge of why or the logic of what they are telling you to do (or not).

Our refrigerator stopped cooling so we had an authorized repair person in. At first he thought it was repaired but the same problem occurred 3 and 1/2 months later. He returned and determined that the unit was irreparable. Corrosion was occurring because the upper cooling unit couldnt drain during the defrost cycle. The whole back panel freezes up to the point that the circulating fan hits the ice and makes a horrible sound. Samsung was sent pictures by my repairman and are giving me the run around. I paid well over $2000 for this refrigerator and now it is worthless in just over 2 years of usage. My mother-in-law has a refrigerator in her home that she bought 30 years ago that works better. FTQ353IWUX - There is a major defect in these appliances due to a combination of factors. First: all the wiring near the oven upper element is exposed to extreme heat that has damaged all the wiring plastic insulation by drying it, severely causing cracks that have exposed the bare wires. This may be contributing to the frequent cases of fire since arcs may be happening. Also, at the main board, the plug that controls the broiler temp. settings is prone to sticking and overheating, causing it to catch fire. Amazing some appliance like this has not been recalled by the government. Everyone should unplug these units and remove the back cover to visually inspect the wiring insulation near the fans. All these wires are going to show damage, cracks and longitudinal fissures exposing the wires.

Called for service and the first person did not look at the issue; he just ordered the part and we had to pay before it was delivered to us. Second repair person was terrific. He fixed the problem and found the original issue which was a part the first guy never ordered. We thought we were all set for another five years. Now the freezer has ice buildup under the drawer and the door binds when closing. I hate to spend another 500 dollars and not know what will happen next. Samsung Model DW80K7050UG/AA-0000 failed twice in two years: - Touch screen failed to respond- Top sprayer wand bearing failureThe touch screen failed to respond unless the power was reset. This got progressively worse until we had to replace the dishwasher with a Maytag. The display board was $150, but the problem might’ve been in the main control board which contain the power supply. Since it was out of warranty the repair may have cost $300.After a year of ownership, the top sprayer wand bearing failed because it was ground down by debris picked up by the dishwasher. I consider this a design defect. Fortunately this was under warranty repair but the dishwasher was out of service for about two weeks. Being an engineer, I deem this to be a design failure where on filtered water was put into a bearing which ground the plastic down until the bearing failed. I am no longer a believer and Samsung dishwashers.

Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. They are just as bad, or worse than Samsung because they are absolutely no help to anyone, unless you purchase insurance through them and then they pass it off on the insurance claims. The government is also not doing a very good job of protecting consumers from this sort of thing. I have read so many other stories from people who are facing the same troubles with Samsung products. When we did this it blew the breaker. We then shut off the electric and checked the range. We could smell smoke from the back of the range. We took the back of the power cover off and found the black plastic clamp that holds the wire to the power cord let go and the wires hit the cover and shorted out the range. I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.

I dont see model no on it but it is stainless interior and black exterior with electronic buttons. I have been very satisfied but I couldnt give it a 5 because it has some trouble occasionally with heavily soiled dishes and when it dries it leaves water in any surface that is not completely flat. The quick run doesnt seem to be any shorter than the regular and it is a long run. It has a heavy soil. It is very quiet.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA in June of 2014, and have since had to have the ice maker replaced 3 times for a total of $1000. It originally failed just a year after the frig was purchased, so was no longer under warranty, and that bill was slightly over $500. In August of this year it failed again, and that experience cost $400. At that time the repair company said they were no longer doing warranty work for Samsung due to the issues with the ice maker. Here it is 2 months later and the icemaker has failed again. This morning the tech came out and we were charged $100 for a service call, and it is still not making ice. Samsung wont do anything about the problem. We are probably going to have to purchase a different brand of refrigerator as we have already spent 25% of what the original purchase price was for repairs. No more Samsung for me.

Ditto Ditto Ditto to all of the complaints listed below. Why am I having these problems (hammering noise and lot of water) with a $1,600 refrigerator that is 1 1/2 years old? The repair service is scheduled for 5 days out! I was told by a non-affiliated repair man that the engine needs to be replaced. From everyones complaint on this and other websites, at least I am prepared for the worse: AWFUL AWFUL PRODUCT AND SERVICE.

Samsung being the best brand name in the market and having a good reputation, we had purchased refrigerator on 24th February, 2015. Model no: 45H5809SLSerial no- Price: 48800/- Merchant name - ALFA Vile- parle West. With reference to the above subject the day from when the day from when the refrigerator had been installed its not functioning properly, the vegetable tray which needs to keep the vegetables fresh is forming Ice and spoiling all the vegetables. There are several occasion wherein the technician have visited our residence to check it but rather than getting a solution for the issue they advise us how to keep and store the vegetables. The main issue of the technicians, whoever visits is that they cant resolve the issue but in return they keep advising us how to use the refrigerator, seems like its the first time that we have purchased the refrigerator and we are unaware of using it.Very sad and disappointed experience that we have faced in these months due to the Samsung refrigerator purchased. I would request the company either youll resolve the issue ASAP or else replace the refrigerator. I have always experienced a good customer satisfaction from Samsung, hoping that youll keep it up to the mark. Kindly please revert ASAP. Thanking you.

ACBP stands for A crappy built Product. We have all these same problems you all have had - water in crisper, temp reads 34 but temp is 62 degrees, freezing up panel. Why are we being treated so poorly by customer service? Doesnt the company realize that it will affect all of their product line with so many complaints and no follow up. I want one representative to follow me through the process to get a refund on this lemon. 20 calls, 50 questions repeated to their representatives, its ridiculous. HELP, I wont even give them 1 star!!!

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

On May 7, 2015 our Samsung refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling, and all our food was spoiled. The unit was under warranty so I contacted Samsung but they refused to honor their warranty. It took twenty days of emailing product support, service request, phone calls and live chats between Samsung and I, for them to finally send someone to look at the unit. It took another seven days for a repair man to show up with a replacement part to fix it. We went almost a month without a fridge. The working fridge only lasted a few days before it failed to cool again and I lost what I had stored in my fridge, again. A technician was able to mend the problem. But just a few days later it gave out again. Every time this unit failed I lost most of the food in the fridge. The Samsung authorized repairman doesnt even want to deal with my fridge and tells us to deal with Samsung. Samsung just sends us around in circles between their support pages. I have most of the emails and phone calls documented and saved.

I bought a Samsung stove - cost over $1000 for dual ovens (when the slide in partition is used). It has always been ridiculously slow to reach cooking temperature - I have long since given up and just throw the food in and hope for the best. Its usually about 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees. The real problem started when I was broiling toast - happily I was watching it so when the back of stove caught fire I was there to shut everything down and hit the breaker. A huge circuit board caught fire and melted and destroyed all the wiring too. I waited weeks for a technician who charged me $260 (through Samsungs site) and it worked again, but constantly makes clicking noises. The tech said this was normal!!! (It was clicking while he there.) I guess he thinks Im stupid! Now the convection fan comes on without turning on the convection side and keeps running with the door is open. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Good chance that my house would burned. SHAME ON SAMSUNG. Theyve ignored the fire issue for years.

Updated on 09/27/2019: 4 Broken Ice Makers in 7 years. I have a side-by-side RSG307AARS Samsung refrigerator with 29.6 cu. ft. I purchased in July 2012. The ice maker has broken 4 times. The sensor that controls the paddle arm that ejects the ice cubes has failed each time. The first time it broke, Samsung paid as it was still under warranty. The second time being out of warranty, I paid $400, including parts and labor to replace. The third time I paid for labor only. This latest time Samsung says I have to pay all. Ive contacted their CEO through Email and phone to make them realize that the ice maker and subsequent ice makers have a defective sensor and like an automobile should be recalled and repaired at their expense with a sensor that wont break every year and a half. They refuse. I will never buy a Samsung product again; from what Ive read on the Internet, their refrigerators are the worst. Should have done my homework better 7 years ago. Let that be a warning. I have finally decided to junk it and Wednesday went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool on sale with an extended 5 year warranty. And, if I never use the warranty, I get money refunded. Whats the chance of that?Original Review: Purchased refrigerator (RSG307AARS) Jul. 2012. Ice maker stopped making ice Oct. 2012. Repairman had to replace the ice maker and 2 circuit boards; this repair was warranted. Per repairman, this was a known issue with Samsung. Feb. 2015 ice maker stopped making ice again; the lever under the ice maker cover thats supposed to come down after each round of ice cubes are dumped into the bucket and sense if more ice should be made stopped working. Repairman determines the ice maker needs to be replaced again. The gears for the same lever are broken. Called Samsung, even talked to a supervisor (maybe). Samsungs bottom line - its out of warranty so they wont do anything to keep me as a future customer. My bottom line - I wont buy another Samsung product.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker in the upper part of the refrigerator died. Samsung did not help and neither did Lowe’s. Not only that, no one works on Samsung refrigerators in the state capital of Montana. Just stay away from these refrigerators and dont buy from Lowes. They just blow you off when you have a complaint.

I bought a Samsung fridge from Sears in Nov. 2012. Had numerous problems, quit making ice, wont freeze ice cream. Called repair. They came, did $900.00 worth of work, replaced Motherboard. 2 weeks later, fridge defrosted every day and started leaving frost on everything in fridge. All my ice cream melted. In March 2013, they brought me a new fridge. Immediately started having trouble - ice stuck in door, melted run down door, constant wet floor. Ice cream melted. Change filter light came on. Changed filter, light wont go off. Ice maker quit making ice. Panel will not change options. Today, 5-21-14, MOTHERBOARD OUT. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. NEVER AGAIN.

At the beginning of September 2014 my wife noticed water collecting in the left hand produce drawer, so we called the local authorized Samsung repair company to fix our refrigerator. Here it is at the first of February, and 9 service technician visits later, more than $250.00 in food ruined plus the Initial cost of the service technicians and 14 calls to Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG and were told its defective and they said they were giving me back the full cost of the refrigerator only to be told a week later that they were only going to give me $916, which is less than the full price. Nobody from Samsung has called me back, nobody from Samsung has e-mailed me. So now Im turning it over to my attorney in principle alone.

I bought the Samsung RF267AEBP Refrigerator about 3 years ago and we constantly have water filling the space below the drawers freezing up and creating a mess.
