Samsung Refrigerador Modelo RF22R7551SG
My Samsung refrigerator is 3 years and 2 months old exactly. It stopped making ice this week. I went online and followed directions on how to hit the reset button. Nothing happened so I called Samsung Support. They asked me to hit the reset button again. Nothing happened, so they opened a ticket and told me I would have to pay $80 to have a tech diagnose the problem. There was no further attempt at phone troubleshooting. The tech showed up and asked me to power cycle the unit by turning off the breaker and turning it back on. The ice machine immediately dumped ice. If the FIRST PERSON I talked to did their job and SUGGESTED I POWER CYCLE the unit, I WOULDN’T BE OUT $80!!! I am infuriated.
I purchased the French door model RF217 under two years ago and for the last year, the veggie bins have continuously filled with water. Water also collects under the bins. It is really quite a pain.
I am very disappointed with the Samsung refrigerator model: RF28HFEDBWW I bought at Sears 2 YEARS AGO!!! I had a repair person out yesterday and he could not remove the back panel inside the refrig b/c the screw would only tighten, not move left to loosen. We had to defrost the coils in the back of the refrig since he could not reach the coils. All food had to be removed. We hope that once he drains the built-up frost that is now defrosted that the refrig will work. Just pitiful. I will never buy a Samsung product again!
RF267AEPN French Door Samsung Refrigerator - Nice looking junk! Expensive and poorly made, and Samsung knows it. They should be ashamed. I bought mine from Sears in 2010. Two days ago, I noticed that food in the fridge portion seemed to be spoiling far too fast. Some of the produce and lunch meats needed to be thrown out after only being purchased four days prior. Then today it sounded like the fridge fan was banging against something. I checked the temperature gauges and was shocked to find the fridge was at 53 degrees, even though it was set to 38. The freezer was fine. Set for -2, and maintaining -2. Then I realized I had a pile of water under the Cool Select Drawer. After cleaning that mess up, I wondered if maybe the water filter had anything to do with it. Since it was time to change it anyway, I started to take out the shelf under the water filter, and found I could not get the shelf out because it was frozen in place. Then I noticed that the entire strip that runs down the center back of the fridge for purposes of shelf height adjustment was completely filled with ice. I could not believe I was seeing this sort of thing on a refrigerator that is only 3 1/2 years old. So I started researching to see if anyone else has had this problem with these refrigerators and found this site (along with reviews on vendor sites), and found that a class action lawsuit was filed in 2010, and appears to be ongoing. One of the main law firms representing plaintiffs appears to be Cohen, Placitella & Roth, so I will be contacting them to see if it is possible to add more people. Companies should not be allowed to get away with making such inferior product. People simply cannot afford to be replacing major appliances every three years!!
Please do not purchase this refrigerator. I purchased this refrigerator and did not have it for two years before the ice maker went out, which was the start of the problems. I called Samsung for repair and they sent a repair tech out and he replaced the front panel with the touch buttons. I asked, would that cause the ice maker to stop functioning? And he said yes. So it began to make ice for about 6 months then the ice maker stop making ice again along with the freezer going out. So, I called Samsung again and they sent another repair tech out and he replaced the motherboard which did not fix the issue. So I called Samsung again and they sent out another repair tech this time. He went into the freezer and replaced a small cable and told me that it should be fine for 24 to 48 hrs. So, this did not fix the problem which completely made me upset with the refrigerator and regret ever buying Samsung brand and will never purchase another product other than a cell phone. Clearly, they need to get out of the refrigerator business.
This whole ordeal started on Dec. 15th. The water dispenser on my 4,000 dollar, 4 month old refrigerator stuck and flooded my kitchen. I have hardwood floors so damage was done. I called service that night and was told someone would call me in 48 hours. So, I waited... no call. I called again and finally 2 weeks later service came out. Wrong part ordered so they ordered a new one. The next day Dani from Customer Service called and said that the repair was taking too long and offered me a new fridge and said someone would call me to get the order going. 3 days pass... no call. I finally get a hold of a very unpleasant customer service manager named Rosa that promised service would be out. It is now the 18th of January. NO CALL IN OVER A WEEK. NO SERVICE HAS BEEN OUT. All this info has been sent to the BBB last week. And this will all be posted on every website I can find. I dont understand why this is so difficult. Isnt this your job? EVERYDAY THAT PASSES MORE DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO MY FLOOR. IT IS NOW LEAKING DOWN INTO THE BASEMENT. You would think that getting the adjuster and repair would be important to you. Also, every time I call they say they left a message. That is false. I have voice mail. Never a message!!!
Do not buy Samsung appliances. This refrigerator was counter depth. Very expensive from Lowe’s. It is 1 year and 2 months old. The ice maker broke and they wont cover it. Bought Lowe’s Appliance Protection. I guess its not covered there either. Bought Samsung microwave. Returned first two and this one is 1 year old and sucks! Never going to buy Samsung again. Their customer service sucks!
I have a Samsung French Door Fridge. DONT PURCHASE ONE!! It is the most frustrating piece of expensive equipment one could own. The ice maker has a mind and a life of its own. It freezes up every two to three days and is totally useless. I am so disappointed with this product and from what I have read above getting help from Samsung is as hopeful as a dog chasing its tail and catching it. You go round and round in circles. I paid almost $2400.00 for it Canadian. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Stay far, far away from this beastly machine. It is a disaster waiting for a place to happen.
After 4 years the PCB mainboard crashed. Spent php3650 for the repair, after 4 years and 4 months then this problem suddenly appeared. From Henrys Electronics regarding the quotation of Samsung Ref. System Php 6,350. System reprocess estimate: (Replace leak test, vacuum flash, charging of refrigerant, labor & transportation) Call us ** or this number. Thanks.
OMG. So upset I did not read reviews before purchase. My husband found a beautiful Samsung 25.5 cu ft French Door refrigerator at Lowes. It was on sale for 50% off. It had a dent in it. Tiny dent. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!
I purchased my Samsung DW (Model DW933) through Lowes. After 2 months, I noticed a smell that is always present - even after I cleaned the dishes. It is awful. Plus, the glasses dont stay up. I have several broken glasses when I open my DW, I can count on one of them being broken... The top rack is a joke. Spoke to Samsung and they sent a repairman out... He was a joke. I could not understand him. He told me to use vinegar too like I did not know that already. Waste of time. Im SO FREAKING UNHAPPY with this dishwasher but Im stuck with it. Samsung should recall them... Oh by the way, the rollers on the bottom shelf do not glide back and forth. If you take the shelf out too far, it will fall down onto the door. There are no stops to prevent this from happening. I need some help here. I dont have 700.00 for another new Dishwasher. :(
We bought a refrigerator in June 2012 and it stopped working in November. We used the warranty service and they came out and stated they had to order a part. We already lost $200 worth of food and had to cancel our family Thanksgiving at this point. The part came in on 11/20 and the service company sent us a link to make an appointment. We selected an available appointment on 11/23 and took off work to be there. The service folks (Tech Pro Plus) never came. We looked online and they had changed our appointment to 11/28. After hopeless calls to the service company and Samsung, evidently the service place was closed that day. We went back to the link and scheduled an appointment for 11/26. Again, took work off to be here only to find that they again changed the appointment to 11/28. Samsung stated they have no control over the service company and that is garbage. Any company you use is a reflection on you! So incredibly disappointed and feel like weve been taken advantage of with this warranty service.
We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a year ago. Within that year our ice maker has broken twice. First they sent a repair guy. He fixed it and 6 months later it broke the same way again. We called and Samsung said sorry it’s out of Warranty. It’s a year old and the ice maker is still frozen up and sometimes melts and drips water. It costs a lot out of pocket to get it fixed. On top of that the middle drawer electric cords that operate temp was pinched so that didn’t work. Also I don’t think the fridge runs at the correct temp! We filed a complaint with BBB in the state they are made. We haven’t heard anything back. I will never buy one again! Don’t even want to Win one I would Rather have a Whirlpool or GE!
I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher DW7933LRABB and have nothing but horrible experiences with its poor cleaning results. I have had no less than 8 service calls for this machine. Each time a service repair agent replaced a part or parts saying it will resolve the poor results. It is nothing but a piece of junk, and I am being nice as this review would be flagged. I might as well eat off the dirty dishes as they are cleaner than after running them through this dishwasher. Samsung has done nothing for me as they say it is a extended service contract issue, not theirs. The issue is they make horrible products. If you are thinking of buying any Samsung product DONT DO IT as you will be writing a review like mine. Samsung has lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know not to buy or do business with this company ever!
Absolutely horrible customer service. Ive had this $2100 refrigerator for 9 months and they want me to repair the ice maker myself. They flat out refuse to refund the price of the refrigerator. The fact that anyone is still selling these machines is mind boggling. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG.
I have a RFG29 Samsung French Door Refrigerator that is about 7-8 years old and no longer within warranty. We started having ice build up under the large slide-out crisper drawer that hindered getting the drawer to slide out. Called the Samsung US for help and the customer service person said it needed to be level - they explained when the screw down levels in front touched the floor, it was level. Of course that didnt work, so called back on a Thursday and another representative told me how to identify the error code on the control panel - that indicated a freezer evaporator defrost system failure. The rep then set me up with an afternoon service appointment for following Monday, and the service company would contact me to confirm the appointment. Was also told that a flat $120 fee would need to be prepaid. The repair service company called the next day and said their first available appointment time was the following Thursday between 1:00 and 5:00 - said the Samsung Customer service could only give me a preferred time, and not an actual appointment time since the local service company controlled their schedule. Also paid them the $120 fee via credit card. When Thursday afternoon came, I heard nothing and called Samsung Customer Service to find out what was going on. The Customer Service Rep checked and found that the first repair service had transferred the repair ticket to another repair service who quit doing business with Samsung the day before my scheduled service, and my ticket was transferred to a third repair service. The Rep gave me their name and number, and said they should contact me to schedule service. (I did check and found that my credit card had not been charged by the first repair service.) I checked reviews for the third repair service, and saw they were generally bad.I called a non-factory authorized repair service the next day (Friday) who came out that afternoon and immediately told me the problem had a factory service repair kit which they would install for a flat fee (suspect it was cheaper than Samsung) and warranty it for a year (think Samsung authorized service was either 30 or maybe 90 days). They ordered the part, came back the following Monday and installed the factory repair kit, and things seem to work fine. I never heard from the third Samsung authorized repair service. To top it off, I got a call from Samsung US Customer Service who wanted to know where I bought my refrigerator. Further, since Samsung could not provide a service tech, they would give us full credit toward a new replacement refrigerator. However, as my wife said, how are we supposed to shop for a refrigerator under COVID-19 lockdown? I told the Rep that I had the refrigerator repaired, and Samsung could pay the repair bill ($300) - the Rep then informed me since I didnt use an authorized Samsung repair service, Samsung would not pay for the repairs and also that I was no longer eligible for a replacement refrigerator! I politely (not) told her it would be a cold day in hell before I ever had another Samsung product. Subsequently, I received an email from Samsung canceling my repair ticket. At least I found what I consider a very good appliance repair shop locally.
I purchased this Samsung fridge at the Home Depot Woodbridge in Avenel. A week after, we experienced a leak until today. I called Home Depot and they are going around in circles. Samsung has canceled me twice the service. We have almost 3 weeks with this issue. None is getting responsible. I have lower back pain from picking up water. My arthritis is getting very bad for all the ice I removed from the middle draw.
We purchased a side by side refrigerator from Lowes in Oct. 2012. Last year the refrigerator side build up ice and it stopped cooling. We had to purchase an extended warranty ($388.95) and have a subcontractor come out and repair it. At the time he said it was a known issue and more than likely it would happen again. Sure enough 10 months later we are having the same issue. A different subcontractor came out today and had to order the parts. This service tech said it was a known issue with Samsung refrigerators and more than likely it would happen again. I called the extended warranty Samsung Protection Plus and was told the part would only be guaranteed for 30 days and referred me to the main Samsung customer service. I spent over an hour on the phone, mostly on hold only to be told by the Executive Customer Relations Department that there is nothing they can do for me. The only way we can have repairs covered is to purchase another extended warranty (another $388.95). I will never purchase another appliance from Samsung.
We purchased a new home with a Samsung appliance package... In 3 months our dishwasher has only worked about a week total. It is broke again and it has been a nightmare trying to get a service person out here. Its still under warranty. They are refusing to help us. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG... You will be a never ending nightmare!!!!
The customer service is horrific. The people are rude and do not honor the warranty. The temperature numbers on our stove started disappearing within the first year of owning the stove. They said it was cosmetic and not covered under the warranty but how could that be since you need the numbers to know what temperature to cook at. Not only is this not cosmetic, it is dangerous as it can cause a fire. A claim has been filed with the Better Business Bureau.
Rust spots have started to appear on the stainless steel fridge doors and freezer doors. Contacted Samsung and they said that it was a cosmetic issue and therefore not covered under the warranty! What use is a warranty if a stainless steel door rusts after two months. Really terrible customer service. Always had great products in the past from them, so thought the fridge would be good, but turned out to be terrible, very expensive mistake. Also the ice production is poor, way less than the old fridge I used to have and the veg crispers are tiny, not large enough for a regular shop.
I give Samsung a one star simply because there isnt a lower option. I have owned two Samsung refrigerators. The first I purchased about 9 or 10 years ago. It only lasted about 6 months and the compressor stopped working. I contacted Samsung and was advised the warranty at the time was a 6 month warranty and it would not be covered. I built a new home less than five years ago and as I got ready to purchase the appliances I had a family member that was going through a divorce that had new kitchen appliance set that he was looking to sell. The set was a stainless steel Samsung refrigerator, glass top stove, and a dishwasher. All of which had not been used but had been installed in his new home. The Samsung refrigerator worked great all of maybe 6 months and the icemaker stopped working. I replaced it and the replacement worked maybe two months and it quit. I replaced that one and the third one worked less than a year and it then quit so I purchased a countertop icemaker and gave up on having one in the refrigerator. Then shortly after the third icemaker stopped it started pooling water under the deli tray that would run out and puddle on the floor. Shortly after that it started making a noise which was the fan hitting build up ice accumulating near the fan. I had to take the refrigerator apart and clear the ice. A short while later it froze up again and this time it burn up the fan motor because the ice also froze the fan. I ordered the parts, put it back together and less than two months later the freezer stopped working. All of these issues were not covered by warranty. When the freezer stopped I fixed it by replacing it with a new refrigerator/freezer.The Samsung glass top stove, I have had to replace the glass top cause the original one busted. It busted after cooking a meal and the repairman advised me the top had an air bubble and as it was cooling off the bubble caused the glass to bust. The dishwasher I have had to pull out three times and replace parts in it. IF YOU WANT QUALITY STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG TRASH.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator less than 4 years ago. Began having problems right away with cube vs. crushed ice. Then within first year ice maker would freeze up. Almost impossible to remove ice bin on ice maker when it freezes up. Have had it repaired twice for hefty service fees. The only solution now is to replace the ice maker with the same crappy design or purchase a new refrigerator which would never be a Samsung. I have contacted Samsung several times and they have never responded. I am extremely disappointed with this manufacturer.
We have a Samsung Induction Range purchase in 2013. There have been consistent issues, but nothing as serious as last night. I was washing dishes when I heard a clicking sound. When I looked over at the range, the panel and burner lights were flashing. Within seconds there was an extremely loud pop and then major arcs and flames. Since our breaker box was in the next room, I was able to turn power off to the unit right away. The range is out of warranty, however, because an electrical fire should be considered a major safety issue, I contacted Samsung and explained what happened. So, Samsung is sending a appliance repairman out to assess the damage and because my oven was on fire, they wont charge me a diagnostic fee! Really Samsung? Shame on you! You should be taking this oven fire issue a little more seriously than you seem to be, especially in light of so many complaints that have been lodged against you just this year alone.
Samsung RS265TDBP broken 2 different ways in 2 years - On the surface, this is a great refrigerator. Its pretty, its very quiet, its energy efficient and the ice maker fits nicely in the door, giving you more useful space in the freezer.Unfortunately, despite the price tag, its of very inferior quality (and I’ve seen more of the insides of this fridge than I’ve ever wanted to). The ice maker broke just before the 2-year mark (about $80 to buy a new one and install it yourself, although stores have trouble keeping them in stock, they break so fast) and not long after I got that done, the fridge starts making ugly noises, and then gets warm, above 55 degrees (freezer is still ice cold). I took the refrigerator cooling unit apart and removed huge chunks of ice to get it going again. But the refrigerator seems to be permanently messed up now (common problem if you Google, Samsung refrigerator not staying cold) and it wont get below about 44 degrees in the fridge.Im abandoning this $1,200 piece of junk after barely 2 years of service and buying a refrigerator from a reputable brand. I cant see spending another dime on it because research (and personal experience) seems to show that if I pay to fix it, it will probably just break again down the line.
Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. Its beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (theres only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadnt done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didnt last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time. They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldnt find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didnt receive what Id sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didnt receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the Presidents Office, who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks. Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that Id receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, Id receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my banks app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time Im writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day stay-at-home order; therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.
Within 4 months this Model DW80F600UTS Samsung Dishwasher began to give misleading ERROR messages (High temp Heating error and Over-level Water error). Service calls were made twice while still under warranty only to have the errors re-surface. The only way we could get the dishwasher to work was to alternate washing cycles. Finally after 3 years of fighting with this dishwasher the pump began to leak and we threw it out.
Model Number : RSG257AARS/XAA. Serial Number : B11643ADC00137X. The ice maker flap keeps banging back and forth and no one can fix it. The fridge is out of warranty. I tried to one of their authorized repair people, by the time he got to me he was no longer associated with them. He said the problem was a short in the electrical wiring and he does not fix that.I went back to Samsung. They agreed to pay for any parts and sent me to another supposedly authorized repair person. That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. Basically I was told luck lady. Dont buy any Samsung products. They have a very bad warranty and it is impossible to find an authorized repair service. Their customer service lie again and again and again.
Whenever I grill, broil, bake, meat or fowl on opening the oven door a huge cloud of smoke and fat hits me in the face stinging both my eyes and face. If anyone else has this problem please let me know as dealer (trail) and Samsung tell me nothing is wrong.
Recently we smelled smoke in our house, traced to refrigerator. When pulled out, a square scorched mark was left on floor and refrigerator was not operating. After several calls to Samsung, spoke to friendly women whose only response was, Your refrigerator is out of warranty, I can send a service person at your cost. If we were not home at the time, our home could have burned down, and their response is, Were sorry but you are out of warranty. When asked if they would like to see photos of scorched floor, her response was You can send them if you like. Very disappointed since we have all Samsung kitchen appliances and TV.
We had pump changed and no different (It is really bad). You can add bleach and it comes right back. You can put vinegar in it and it comes right back. Very poor setup. Of all our dishwashers we have had over the past 45 years this is the worst by far. We never had this problem with other mfg dishwashers. We keep 2 homes and have had a lot of dishwashers also.
As our five year old Samsung refrigerator is now trash (model RB2178AB), time to research before replacing. Loved the fridge, no complaints except for twice having to replace the gallon bin in the door. But last week freezer quit and now fridge. Repair person says a freon leak. Not repairable. Expensive purchase for 5 years of use. With a Samsung dishwasher that has required 5 service visits...no more Samsung appliances for this family!
I have not had any problems with my dishwasher. The dishwasher was not that expensive and I would definitely buy it again. This dishwasher cleans well. It looks awesome in my kitchen. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
We purchased a set of Samsung kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, we purchased these before we moved into our home and shortly after we began to use the appliances, the warranty on some of the appliances had expired. Fortunately, the microwave had a longer warranty and we were able to have that fixed without charge. The dishwasher on the other hand had been one issue after another. We have had to make 3 service calls at our expense and the problem is not yet fixed. We have already spent enough to have purchased another dishwasher - and all we have to show is a broken dishwasher that can not wash a load of dishes. Very disappointed with this dishwasher and after reading the reviews of water soaked floors, I am afraid to risk having it looked at for the 4th repair... Probably better off to just purchase a new dishwasher, but what a waste of money this has been.
I bought a Samsung refrigerator back in Dec. 2009. For the last year it has been having issues with the freezer quitting and me having to hit reset and shake the tray. But it also has been getting louder and louder! It vibrates like crazy and now is making a squeaking vibrating noise! We have tried to figure it out, but nothing! I have never owned a new fridge and never had this kind of issues with old ones! I cant afford to call someone out and the noise is driving me nuts!! I looked online for other complaints and found plenty about Samsung fridges. I will never buy one again!
Purchased these 4 items rfg297hdrs refrigerator, smh21175 microwave combo, ne595riabsr oven, dw80f600uts dishwasher. Purchased in December 2013. 2 repairs under warranty on dishwasher and still does not work good. Over the oven microwave is in the garbage after burning bacon which burned out the panel. Paid a repair service for call and was quoted 480.00 for repair. 30 days after 1-year warranty. Oven element went out after 20 months and was told by Samsung it was covered. They sent a repair guy out and the part was not on warranty. I paid the service call and called to order the element and was told if the bottom did not work in my dual oven then it was the controller panel. I have been so disappointed in Samsung appliances. I would not recommend them and will let others know about the cheap quality and Samsungs bad customer service.
Dryer drum will crack within first three years. This is a weak known and documented issue, yet Samsung refuses to recognize it as their fault caused by poor materials. Several lawsuits against them on this issue. Google ‘cracked dryer drum’ to find out how many consumers their poor materials has impacted.
Microwave Vent comes on and off by itself. Have to unplug it afraid of fires. Went online and saw numerous complaints about same microwaves. Plan on calling Lowes Monday to see if they will take it back. Samsung needs to be taken to task for obvious manufacturing flaws in microwave keypads. Will wait to see how Lowes and Samsung handles issue. A bit angry with Lowes who continues to sell this microwave knowing the issues Samsung is obviously having.
Besides the problem we are having with Samsung refrigerator, customer service department is a nightmare, in 10 days they called me to send same document that I already sent. Every time I called, I was given different information. I really dont know which one is true now.
I purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowes September of 2016. A couple weeks later the ice machine stopped giving ice. I called Samsung and first they told me to reset the ice machine and wait 24 hours. I did that and that didnt work. So I called back and they told me that my 1 year warranty was over and I would have to pay them for service. I DONT KNOW HOW A 1 YEAR WARRANTY CAN EXPIRE IN TWO MONTHS. It is December of 2016 that I am typing this review and I barely purchased my refrigerator in September of 2016. Either Samsung doesnt know how to count or the employees are high on drugs. This is so wrong. So I had to send my receipt to EFAX@sea.samsung.com and wait 24 to 48 hours. Well after a week of waiting I called back and they said that they never received my email. They are just trying to kill time for the warranty to really expire. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG!!!
Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.
Bought this fridge in April 2016 had ice maker replaced November 2016. Ice maker sheet if ice could not use was replaced. Now April 2017 ice maker iced over. Call again for service was told my warranty was expired but they would give me extension to have it replaced again. I called April 17 for service. They set the appointment for 4-28. They text me the name of company ticket number and phone number. Well of course no one showed up or called. I called Samsung repair service, was told the service center cancelled my appointment after I took the day off work. Well anyone that has dealt with Samsung knows they make you so mad you end up hanging up on them. So now to file a complaint with the BBB. As Ive seen all the complaints they cant do anything about it. Samsung should not be allowed to sell this junk.
I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS/XAA refrigerator from Home Depot a year ago. Just before the warranty ran out, I contacted Samsung service for a repair. The evaporator coils were over icing and the drain failed causing water to run into and under the chiller drawer. This is the 3 door model with the freezer in the bottom. Request for service initiated on 9/28/2015 and this is 10/9/2015 with no service scheduled. Multiple telephone calls to Samsung service and to Home Depot. Warranty expired on 10/4/2015. All is documented.
We replaced all of our kitchen appliances two years ago with this line of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator is currently a model involved in a class action lawsuit as water pools in the crisper drawers and produce spoils. I can deal with taking drawers out and dumping them, but at the beginning of this month my husband was in our nursery when he heard a loud pop in the kitchen. Upon inspection, he noticed that our glass top (Range NE595ROABSR) had cracked completely from front to back. Furthermore, fragments of the glass continued to split from the bottom up (not from the top down as one would suspect had it been an object of force hitting the top).He called Samsung and they sent a diagnostic tech out a week later (bear in mind that we have three children under the age of four and nothing safe to cook on) for the cost of $80. My husband explained to the technician that he had set an empty two quart pot on the stove before hearing the baby cry. The stove was not on and HAD NOT BEEN ON FOR TWO DAYS at that point. The technician took pictures, says he sees this all the time, agreed that there was absolutely no physical damage on our end, he said he could tell where the glass had a defect, but warned us that Samsung likes to deny claims. We paid the $80 to this third company for him to take some pictures and leave. He left and two days later we were indeed denied. We began the arduous process of calling and talking to every imbecile that works for this pathetic excuse of a company. We were initially told that their technical support team approved us for a replacement once the diagnostic tech called them and sent in pictures explaining that this was a Samsung defect. After a few days of no one coming to replace the range top, we called back and were informed that the glass top isnt covered in the five year GLASSTOP WARRANTY (seriously, this company is ludicrous). After spending two more days and endless hours on the phone (mind you with a four month old, and two preschoolers screaming and crying in the background), we were informed that it doesnt matter what the diagnostic technician says, their product review department is comprised of engineers that are specially trained to detect physical damage IN CELL PHONE PICTURES and they determined that since my husband had an EMPTY pot sitting in the stove at the time the glass cracked we had physically damaged the item and they would not replace the range top, but we could for an additional ~$250 plus another $50 in labor to the company we already paid $80 to diagnose the problem.Perhaps its just me, but I was under the impression that stoves were meant to hold pots. Granted this one had been left alone in a kitchen because of a colicky baby, so perhaps it grew legs and jumped up and down until breaking our range and causing the physical damage. None the less, we are out of pocket the $800+ it cost two years ago, and additional $80 for a diagnostic tech that Samsung refuses to believe over some gods behind a computer screen that do not receive or accept calls from customers, and I still have NOTHING safe to cook on for my sons. We refuse to replace the glass top because there is no guaranty this wont happen again. Thanks Samsung for costing a struggling family to struggle even more. We doubt that youll care, but youve lost us as customers for life.
I have had my refrigerator for 3 years and the very first year the shelves cracked so I ordered new ones and now the new ones are cracking.
I would not recommend this refrigerator. The water dispenser leaked from day 1. I am constantly wiping the dispenser, refrigerator, and the floor. The water has stained the refrigerator. I am always stepping in a puddle. Now it is making a very loud noise and I think it has something to do with the ice maker. The long drawer in the refrigerator keeps coming off track. It is difficult to get back on track. Very annoying. The refrigerator is nice looking but definitely not worth the hassle.
Our Samsung dishwasher started leaking one week ago (3 years old). Not under warranty. It was very hard to get a Samsung approved repairman. He comes in and after 10 mins. and 95 dollars tell me I need a new part but the good news is that there is a service bulletin on this part. I NEED TO CALL SAMSUNG AND ORDER THE PART. Samsung, he assures me, will pay for the part. It is a scam. When I called Samsung, they had never heard of a service bulletin, might not have heard of Samsung, not sure. They kept reading from their cue cards: Your dishwasher is not under warranty anymore. They were rude and very unhelpful. I have FOUR Samsung appliances in my kitchen, did not even treat me as a valued customer. When I offered to send them the service bulletin on the part, they did not even answer. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE! By the way, the microwaves heating sensor stopped working after one year. Their products are lousy and their service is even worse.
From day one it has never made more than one cup of ice. Then under the lunchmeat drawer we have always had an accumulation of cold water. It takes about three to five days to get meat to freeze in the freezer, and ice trays too. Horrible fridge.
We purchased dishwasher. Sent in warranty card. The left side wall of stainless steel welding came loose so the unit tray would not move in and out to put or remove dishes. This part has a lifetime warranty. I have Samsung paperwork to prove it from their website. After two factory damaged replacement parts were sent to our home which were unable to be used to replace lifetime warranties part Samsung would not send any additional parts to my home. The repair service A&E confirms this part was manufactured in 2011 and the part has a lifetime warranty. They cannot help me further until Samsung sends a good repair part to my home. Which Samsung has not done. I assume they do not have a good repair drum to sent as a replacement. After more than 10 calls to Samsung about replacement and repair part, I called to resolve this issue but consumer department would no long take my complaint or send me to executive customer service. This started in April 2016 and my last call was on June 8, 2016. They stated they cannot help me further or escalate my call to anyone that could help. I am a senior citizen and just want Samsung to send me refund $813.00 for the warrantied part they cannot or do not have to repair the unit so we can replace the unit. I will not replace the unit with a Samsung if this is how they treat their consumers.
Samsung is my go to brand for appliances. I didn’t hesitate buying my Samsung gas range and lm happy with its performance but I am not feeling same about the look. Two things disappointed me when it arrived after ordering it online, sight unseen; the bright red lined knobs on the sleek white range and especially large gap between the warmer drawer and the oven door. If they could correct that, I’d be 100% happy with it.
We bought this double range in 2014. On Jan of 2017 we were moving the range to have a new floor put in. When the floor was done we moved the range back to where it was and plugged it in. When we did this it blew the breaker. We then shut off the electric and checked the range. We could smell smoke from the back of the range. We took the back of the power cover off and found the black plastic clamp that holds the wire to the power cord let go and the wires hit the cover and shorted out the range. I was told that there was nothing that could be done. I feel this is a serious safety issue and it could cause serious problems or fire. Will not buy another.
We purchased our Samsung RFG297AAWP French door refrigerator in June of 2009. When it was delivered and hooked up the freezer did not work. Three days later a new box was delivered and hooked up. About 2 years later the ice maker quit working and we discovered ice build up under the large deli drawer. We gave up on the ice maker because we knew that was a problem with a lot of refrigerators and started making ice in. We had a plumber come out and put a cutoff in the line to stop the water. He used a piercing type of cut off which did not work so still had water. Last week the freezer quit and we lost all the food. We had a repairman come out (Samsung recommended). He was quite good and only charged $40.00 but the bad news is that there are several computer boards on the back and after some research he found that other repair people had gone through the board changing and the freezer still did not work. We would have been out that expense and still no freezer. He would have changed out the boards for us but we still would have had the water problem in the fridge. It was 6 years old, and it was his belief that we had a blockage in the refrigerant in the freezer evaporator. The compressor was working fine for the evaporator for the refrigerator. Our last refrigerator was 10 years old, 6 years ago, and it is still going strong in my sisters basement where they use it to freeze their garden produce. I ordered a new refrigerator yesterday, not a Samsung and truly would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. I really cant believe that they are a refrigerator that is pushed by Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.
We purchased a complete package of Samsung appliance for our new home on October 2013 and they got installed by end of November 2013. Thinking that Samsung had a good reputation for other electronics the decision was made without hesitation. Well that was a mistake. First the refrigerator ice maker started to make continuous noises, and the middle drawer got stuck every time you try to closed. Both issues where fixed under warranty. Then, surprise it was the dishwasher turn to break. It started to not dry and show an error s5, which meant that was not draining properly. I called Samsung and they say that it was out of warranty. I was a month too late meaning it only lasted 13 months. An appliance that gets used maybe 3 times a week and cost over 550.00 plus tax, however they did offer a extended warranty for an additional cost, Of course. My thoughts about this, I will not pay extended warranty. I will not repair the Samsung dishwasher, since I know it will break again and I will not buy a Samsung product again. Maybe we need to start buying American again (At Least The Name). Lets make sure that the word gets around that Samsung is not what they seem to be. They know that the dishwasher they make have a lots of problems and complaints and they do nothing.
I purchased 4 new Samsung side by side refrigerators about 16 months ago. One by one they have failed in less than 16 months. I purchased four for an apartment complex and it was a costly mistake to say the least. After having Samsung customer service wear me down (they won that fight) I finally just gave up. I basically threw away $6,000.00. I was dumb enough to purchase Samsung without doing my homework, but Im not dumb enough to fix a pathetic product that wont last. No good money after bad here!!! So, I have given up on Samsung and going back to good old Whirlpool where I should have stayed in the first place. My problems were the same as everyone elses. Ice makers go bad, Blades rub on ice, motherboards go bad. Its amazing that with the internet the word never got out. Im just trying to do my small part to save someone else $$$.
We purchased new appliances from Lowes 2 years ago, Dishwasher, Fridge, Range and Micro. We have not had any problems from the range or micro, but had issues with fridge (fan in the freezer). Repair went smooth with Lowes involved. Happy with that. Now we are experiencing the smell that so many have commented about. That being said: What is the solution? So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Maybe if Lowes or Best Buy, or both, discontinue the retail of their product, they might consider improving their customer service. Samsung needs to hire someone that can get your customer service back on track. There are other product names that would love to see sales increases once these go out.
March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!
While cooking hamburgers on my stove, which was only 10 months old, the stovetop shattered and cracked. When I contacted Samsung they sent a technician out 1 week later. He took a picture and based on the picture, Samsung determined the damage to be consumer neglect and voided the manufacturers warranty. I am so unhappy and disillusioned with Samsung and their complete lack of customer service. Please do not buy Samsung appliances. They are a complete waste of money!!!
Refrigerator is three year old and cost about $2000. Last week the evaporator fan (inside of the refrigerator) started getting noisy. After looking online and discovering that this is a common issue I contacted the support people at Samsung. I received a canned response that said it could be caused by lots of things. They recommended that I unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours to let the evaporator thaw and for the ice to melt. If it happens again Im supposed to call for a repair appointment. We had to move all of our contents out of the refrigerator to let the evaporator thaw before we could get the cover off to clean out the drain. This is a really poor product backed up by offshore support auto responders. For your next refrigerator purchase choose any product other than Samsung.
In approx May 2015 we purchased the Samsung RFF18HFENBSR French door refrig/bottom freezer from Home Depot. Our renovations got delayed so we did not start using it until August. I gave it one star because it looks and fits great but the following year (after the warranty was over) multiple things started happening. First no ice, then water in right crisper and water under both crispers freezing up. I went online and this has been a problem with Samsung refrigerators, many models, for years. I didnt call them because after researching they were not even returning calls to those that had warranties. All I can say to those shopping, absolutely do not purchase their refrigerators. This is a continuing problem. I have to call a repair guy but more annoying is it may possibly be a simple fix. There is a problem with the heating coil not keeping the water from freezing in a little hole. So their fix was a metal piece that doesnt quite reach the hole too short so it wasnt a fix after all. So water freezes in the hole, then no ice, water in right crisper and water under both crispers that freezes. It also creates frost in the freezer and food in the refrigerator freezing. But now I have to pay god knows how much money for a repair guy, empty everything out of my refrigerator again. Some repair guys are also saying you have to replace the thermostat piping or something like that. Dont buy this. I never do this but I have a refrigerator in my garage that is 12 years old and has never had a problem and Samsung although they were aware from previous models continued to just make it with the same problem knowing it still didnt fix it.
All of the negative reviews are true. This ice build up problem is real. I’ve had it fixed twice in 3 years since I bought it. Our washing machine has been shaking and making weird noises as well as the dryer. The dishwasher started leaking right before I started this review which led me to write it to warn people not to buy Samsung appliances. 3 years and nothing but headaches. I have a 20 year old Frigidaire refrigerator in my basement and it works better than my new one. Shame on you Samsung for not helping your consumers. I will never buy Samsung again.
I purchased a Samsung Microwave Model SMH8187STG from Costco on 19 MAR, 2011. The other day, I went to close the door, heard a snap and it wouldnt close. The plastic latch was loose. I called Samsung (even though warranty was over) to inquire about what to do, and was passed on to their Canadian parts department, where I ordered a new plastic latch piece for $2.99, assuming thats what the problem was. It would be sent to the dealer nearest to our town where I could pick it up at that price, or mailed to me for $12.99 (I chose the pick up). The parts person also helped by directing me to a website as to how to take the door apart to get at the broken latch. I discovered many other sites where people had had problems with Samsung door latches failing, SE problems, etc.Anyway, when I took the door apart and got the latch out, there were a couple of other broken plastic pieces also. I picked up the new piece yesterday, brought it home, and discovered from looking at some other websites that some people had to glue broken plastic bits back on the door in order to get everything to work (they apparently hadnt ordered a new part). My new part didnt include the other plastic pieces, as they had been part of the inside of the door! They were very small, and very thin, and were part of the guides for the latch, and one of them appeared to be the piece that would anchor the spring that would attach to the latch. Crazy glue or epoxy wasnt going to fix that piece well enough to allow a spring to re-anchor for the stress on the latch. My wife and I do not slam the microwave door, and at our age (mid-60s), we realize were now living in a throw-away society, but this is ridiculous! It looks like well need a new door, as the whole internal part of the current door contains these tiny plastic anchors. Samsung knew or ought to have known that these pieces would not stand up to repeated use over more than a few years before the stress on them would cause them to fail. Why would they not have used reasonably strong metal anchors? While Im not a lawyer, one would think that those of us that have had this problem would have a decent case in small claims court or in a class action suit, even though the warranty is over. Does anyone agree? Anyway, after reading the other horror stories and our experience, its the first/last Samsung for us! P.S. So far, we havent had the SE problem, but from the looks of it, we probably will. However, we bought ours at Costco, as mentioned, and they are very good at taking things back from dissatisfied customers.
We purchased our Samsung Dishwasher last Spring with other matching Samsung appliances so it made it difficult to just change out the Dishwasher. However, it would have been worth my time, effort & money to take them all back & go with a different company as this dishwasher is worthless! It runs for over 3 hours & doesnt get the dishes clean. I feel like I almost have to wash the dishes before I even put them in, thats how terrible it is. I bought a glass at a souvenir shop & as I always wash something before I use it, I put it in the dishwasher. It literally came out dirty! There were particles all inside it. I Hate this dishwasher!!
Bought a Samsung over-the-range microwave from Sears. It came damaged with some dents. We figured it wasnt a big deal, we had waited months and went through a lost order hassle with Sears just to get the microwave, so we accepted what we got and installed it. Within a week of using the microwave, it started making a loud, screeching noise whenever we used it. We contacted Sears and were routed over to Samsung.Samsung said they cant replace/refund the microwave because you have to report damage within 48 hours of receiving the microwave. Good to know for the future, but I wont be buying from them ever again. This has been an almost 4 month back-and-forth between me, Sears, and Samsung. They are willing to send out a repairman to try and fix the loud sound, but they wont do anything about the exterior damage to the microwave. They gave me a service order number for the repair service and advised I call them to make an appointment so they can see about fixing the noise. I called the repair service and found out... oh, they dont service microwaves anymore. So now I have to call back Samsung and start the process all over again. I will never again buy a Samsung, not a fridge, not a microwave, not a TV or a phone. Never again. Same goes for Sears. At this point Im considering eating the cost of the microwave and throwing it out just so I dont have to deal with them anymore.
I bought a Samsung fridge in Nov. 2014, from day one the ice maker has delivered crushed ice while in the cubed mode. Had 4 repairmen here and was told nothing could be done, it was a Samsung design flaw. This was a three French door design. Why doesnt Samsung fix this problem? My old fridge never had this problem!
Samsung Appliances has to be the worst ever made, We have had more problems in one year with our Samsung Refrigerator than we have in the last 30 years with any other brand. Loud Ice makers dont work, freezes over etc.
I completely outfitted my kitchen with new, stainless (I thought!) top of the line Samsung appliances. The convection microwave oven board stopped working day one. I returned to store for completely new replacement. Within a week - the same issue. Board replaced four times. Last time just after one year. Problem continued during that time, but I couldnt miss work for repairman to come. Repair tech had said board problem caused from heat of stove. This is an above stove unit meeting all necessary height specs. As a courtesy Samsung offered $430 if I cut the cord and removed serial plate (13 months after purchase of a $700 product with $150 installation!!). I cant replace it for that amount. I also have gas convection range ($1500), the broiler doesnt work. The flames on one burner are HUGE (they licked around pan and caught dinner on fire!) And oven got so hot it MELTED the knobs - apparently they are not metal as they appear but a metal look skin that melts with heat and is also chipping off. Replacement of knobs = $150 only to have it happen again... Additionally my french door Refrigerator ($2800) with two drawers makes a super loud squealing noise. After discussing with a friend, found out she had the same problem with her Samsung appliances. DO NOT BUY!!! NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT or concern for satisfaction. My products are only 16 months old.
We purchased a Samsung dishwasher last year as part of a complete kitchen package. The warranty was over 1 month when the dishwasher started leaking. We contacted the company and we were informed the washer was out of warranty and to repair by ourselves. This was a 600 washer. I am never buying another Samsung product ever again.
Bought a RF266 on September 17, 2011. Now it doesnt work. The fan started making a loud noise one morning and by that night the refrigerator part had stopped working completely. Called a local repairman to come out and he told us that the freezer motor was freezing up and would stop working also. Told us to unplug the refrigerator and see if it would hopefully reset itself, but not likely. Called Samsung and they gave me the run around that they have never heard of that problem before and I have been reading all afternoon of the same damned thing almost. Even after two months of having it had to get icemaker replaced and it still acts up off and on. Samsung does suck.
We purchased this $3,000 refrigerator, 4 months later ice maker broke, it was replaced. Over the last 2 years we had to have it repaired 8 times costing over $1200. It was deemed unrepairable by a certified Samsung tech and yet Samsung refuses to give any replacement or credit. Terrible product and customer service.
Model RB215ABBP - I wish I had found these negative reviews before I bought this POS a few years ago. Within a short period of time the right crisper bin started holding water. It still does that! In addition, the ice maker completely broke into pieces. I have a repair guy coming today. If this costs from than $200 I will just replace the fridge. I may replace it anyway. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!
I bought a Samsung refrigerator RS263TDR from my local Lowes store. About 18 moths later ice would collect on the back wall & water at the bottom of the fridge department. I called Samsung customer service and they advised me to go to a local certified Samsung repair shop. After the first year, Samsung customer service told me that these parts are not under warranty, repair cost $275.00. Just a few months later the ice maker was defective and water level was out of adjustment and too much water would overflow over the existing ice cubes. The ice cubes would become just one big block of ice and a sensor was dangling in the ice maker area. So we shut the ice maker off. A few months later the entire refrigerator shut down and we could not restart it again. Samsung technician told us that the main electronic motherboard is burnt and this is a major part and shall be covered for at least 5 years. In my disbelieve Samsung does not cover it after just one year. It is not worth it to repair this unit again! Parts and labor over $850. I had to replace my Samsung side by side refrigerator RS263TDR just after 3 1/2 years!!!
Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Fridge is 23 months old. Started making a loud racket when opening door, stops then when door closed starts up again. Drive one nuts as really really loud. Then it stopped after a few hours of off and on. Suddenly the temps on front (digital readouts) started flashing? Book said pull power plug, wait ten minutes, then plug back in. Did so, and the temps just climbed up...was up to 69 degrees F in Fridge and up in Freezer as well. Left it sit for a while, called Samsung Cust. service (if you can call it that). They asked a few questions and then said, Oh, you have a ONE year warranty, sorry. I said WHOA --- there is three years on SOME parts and TEN YEARS on compressor. Do YOU know exactly what is wrong? They then said, wait one minute --- then came back and said, WE HAVE NO ONE IN YOUR AREA THAT IS A SAMSUNG REP. --- so sorry, you may want to call your own repair person (response came via e mail). I drove eight miles to HOME DEPOT where we bought the fridge (for nearly two thousand dollars) and the woman there got on the phone to Samsung on my behalf. After a long wait, she was told I would be getting a call in the next TWO days to schedule a tech to look at the refrigerator. So far, no call. All of a sudden, the fridge began to cool OK again... Maybe sounds like a computer board??? Still waiting for a call. I would never buy another Samsung, after getting the comments from the southern gal at Customer Service. I did finally speak to a supervisor (Shawn) who said, Oh, we have a guy that can check it out north of you... and gave me his number. I called the number --- voice said, the voicemail box for this number is FULL -- good bye. Whole episode is a JOKE and I have spent two + hours on the phone PLUS driving to Home Depot. I will avoid ANY SAMSUNG product after this response!!!
Samsung DMT300RFW/XAA Dishwasher - A little over two years old and I am getting ready to cart this piece of junk out to the street for the trash collector! The unit never performed at the levels promised. Dishes were left dirty and spotted if used in the normal mode. Per Samsung techs, we were told to use the high energy sanitize mode (so much for the low energy use sales pitch)! Last night, the dishwasher started making electrical sparking noises and producing an electrical smell. We contacted a half dozen reputable local repair companies and nobody is authorized to work on Samsung. The closest authorized place is a TV repair company 30 miles away! We have a million people in South Orange County and not one authorized repair company? Were never going to buy another Samsung product!
On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.
I was sold a lemon refrigerator. I purchased a stainless steam French door refrigerator. I spent many hours and many many calls with Samsung to send someone to diagnose the issue but no one ever came. It was extremely frustrating to deal with it.
We have moved to a house that had a Samsung French door refrigerator with freezer on bottom. Were at our second problem with water. The top ice maker wont fill up. We changed the water filter and now no water dispenses. All of the water now drains to freezer and freezes up. We had a new filter and its housing controls replaced once already. Ive tried calling Samsung before and they act like nothing is wrong with it. I will not buy Samsung appliances ever again!
I have been working to get my 2 month old dishwasher repaired after getting the run around with numerous tracking numbers. The last conversation I have said they would return my call within 5 days. NO CALL. I am still at square one. Last step is to e-mail the executive manager @ **.
I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. The problems were: 1) The hand hold could not be fixed on the door of the refrigerator; 2) The water freezing unit does not operate properly. So, I called Sum Service Company, which is the representative of Samsung in Iran, but no one was responsible for the problems! Once again, I had called the Sum service more than 50 times. After one month, Sum Service Company replaced our refrigerator with a new one. But the new one has the same problem - the water freezing unit still does not operate. I tried asking other consumers and I learned that the water freezing unit basically has this problem. Although Samsung has a worldwide reputation, I regret buying this type of Samsung refrigerator. In the last two months, this issue affected me both mentally and financially. I request you to advise the Sum Service Company about my problem as soon as possible. If you need to contact me, my email address is **.
Same experience as others. French door refrigerator 16 months old, and we are not here 6 months of the yr. Have Home appliance warranty but took a month to get fixed, Samsung parts are backlogged over a month. Icemaker makes 4 cubes then doesn’t work. Samsung refuses to do anything, many CS representative conversations. Would never buy another.
I bought this fridge on May 31, 2010. The fridge freezes up, and the icemaker wont work; error codes that wont reset and Lowe’s can’t do anything about it. As far as Samsung customer service, good luck! Nobody answers. Also, I bought a Samsung Washer and Dryer. I already had to replace the heating element and it’s not even two years old. Stay away from Samsung altogether.
There are pros and cons to consider with this dishwasher. The capacity is generous. I like the different cycles. It seems like it uses a lot of rinse aid with the machine and you have to be careful how you load it or top rack items dont get clean. Overall it is a decent mid price dishwasher.
Water constantly leaks and pools under vegetable drawers. We must chip ice away every few days so that food doesnt freeze. This fridge has the ice maker and water/ice dispenser on door. We turned off the ice maker and disconnected the water thinking it would stop the water leaking but it did not. Ice maker worked great but the water leak is ridiculous. We will never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again.
I have been in touch with Samsung regarding my microwave since August 3, 2017. At first, they were going to send out a tech to look at it since it completely just stopped working. My microwave is less than a year old and under warranty. After three days without a call from a tech to schedule an appointment to come fix it I called Samsung back. I explained that no one has come by or called about fixing my microwave. The customer service rep said they would contact the company about coming out to repair it. I also asked for the companys number. After still not hearing from them I called the company myself. No one answered so I left a message. After another few days with no call back I called Samsung again and reported the issue. Next, the rep put me on hold and tried to contact the company with no success. That rep said they would keep trying and call me back. Finally, after more than 2 weeks without a working microwave a Samsung rep called stating that they did not have anyone that could repair it and would issue a refund. But of course, there is a catch! I had to supply a receipt that I no longer and had paid cash for the microwave so no bank record. Once I explained this they said they could still issue a refund but it would take 10 days of review and then they would send out an email to start the process for getting a refund. I am not a criminal nor am I trying to scam them. I would much rather have my microwave fixed than purchase another one. But that does not seem to be an option. I cannot understand why it would take 10 days for review. Also, the refund is going to be $37 less than what we paid. We have had other Samsung products that we have had to replace or repair. We replaced our dishwasher and our refrigerator need to be replaced. It has several issues. We will not be purchasing anymore Samsung products or recommending them! We finally just went ahead and purchased another microwave and have the Samsung sitting around waiting for the email about getting a refund. Samsung requires you to take a picture of it with the cord cut and the serial number. I get this procedure but I should not have to wait 10 days for an email in order to send this information in. It seems like a stall tactic to me. I am a service business owner and would never have a customer wait over a month for results!
I had the fridge for 2 years and 2 months. The top section does not work. The product has been in for repairs twice and is still not fixed. I have paid a lot of money for this product. Can you please advise as to what to do?
I have been searching the net reading all the negative things said about my less than a year old fridge. Mine also freezes inside the back panel, makes so much noise I cant watch TV. So, once again in less than a week I have to defrost it. I wish I had seen these reviews first. I have a Samsung TV, fridge, dishwasher, gas range and microwave. None of them have been what I expected or hoped for. Glad I bought a GE washer and dryer!
We bought our Samsung microwave model SMH8165W on Feb 23, 2011. I know this b/c I actually registered online w/ Samsung to get the extended 1 year + 3 month warranty. They have engineered their microwave to be built to last barely above a year. Let me say, it is beautifully designed and at an inexpensive price point. It was the best deal at the time. It had features that we NEVER used - like, any of the snack features. My husband still loves it.... BUT... within a year, one of the LED legs blew out in the first number. We ignored that. It wasnt big enough to bother, you could still read the number. Id already misplaced any paperwork. Now, on Feb 18, 2014 - almost 3 years to the day that we purchased our Samsung we have another interesting error. Our under microwave light that goes from On, to Night light, to Off.. it always stays ON. One of the lights blew out so we changed it thinking that maybe that was the problem. Nope, both bulbs now burn brightly. We are out of warranty. We wont be buying Samsung again. We actually need a light on at night to cook, being in a dark kitchen. So in the meantime Im buying a set of 3 stick on LED lights for $6 on Amazon. One LED light will last 1000 hours. Lets see if it outlasts the Samsung.
Water is leaking inside the refrigerator and freezing under the produce bins. Then we notice vents on the inside back wall were full of ice. A few weeks we found water on the floor. Then the freezer started frosting and we found ice forming on the outside freezer drawer. We have defrosted it several times and the problem keeps repeating. I see online hundreds of complaints for this. These models should be recalled! Last Samsung product for me!
My Samsung microwave oven was purchased about 4 years before a move across several counties and lasted there about 6 more years. The oven was dark, rated about 1000 watts, and always cooked at an even pace. A bag of popcorn at 3.5 Oz. was usually cooked at 2 minutes, any more scorching the bag. My family used the dinner dish recook setting often. Some dinner plates were frozen while others were not, but the oven cooked them to a nice & hot serving temperature. The oven worked well daily until that final day when it quit for good. We replaced it with another Samsung microwave oven.
Were an older couple, no children household. The front of our refrigerator started to peel away 12 months after we purchased it. Samsung considers it cosmetic damage and not a production problem. If you want a refrigerator that is only partially black stainless (with the one side flapping off) then this is the fridge for you!
I love my washer AND dryer. It’s easy to use, I can see what’s happening with side the washer while it’s cycling. It gives me plenty of options/settings depending on if the clothes are soiled or just need a gentle scrub. And it has a cute bell at the end. I’d recommend it. In fact I already have.
I am having the same freezer issue with my 2 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator! This is ridiculous! I replaced my 14 year old GE Profile refrigerator with this one! I never had an issue with my GE and Ive had nothing but issues with my Samsung appliances. A couple of months ago, the dryer had an electrical (NOT lint) fire so I had to buy another dryer and chose to replace my Samsung washer same time...and they were only 4 years old. I called customer service and she asked Anyone hurt or was there property damage? When I said no, thankfully I was at home and unplugged it before the fire trucks got there... she said... sorry. Your 4 year old dryer is out of warranty! She wanted to document any damage in case there would be a lawsuit. I dont care if its out of warranty or not... NO appliance should catch on fire. I dont care how old it is! Now... my freezer is not working and I lost all my frozen food. I called Samsung last night when I discovered it and she tried a couple of things with me then referred me to a dealer that is 2 hours away! They need to own it and take responsibility by providing recalls/repairs. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again! Samsung does NOT stand by their products. Period.
From the time that it was new the ice maker in this model refrigerator was awful even when it was not frozen over and the ice making unit was not in need of de-icing. The ice maker was slow and low capacity from day one, but the real defect appeared within 3 weeks after I got my new refrigerator. Ice making had stopped completely and when I removed the compartment it was immediately apparent why this was. The entire rear portion where the cubes feed into the holding area was caked with ice and ice cubes, and freezer frost, with freezer frost creeping out all of the way the front part of where the assembly seats.I called Samsung for assistance or repair and was told to turn off the ice maker and put hot water on the areas that were frozen over. There was no way to effectively do this because of where the ice had caked - way back in the tightest and coldest area. Very unreachable. After great and careful effort I was able to get it cleared and the ice maker working again. Within two weeks the problem repeated and I called again about my brand new refrigerator that was less than 6 weeks old. After explaining the situation and requesting repair I was told to modify the freezer settings along with the same instructions to use hot water to melt the ice. The thought was that the freezer being too cold or too warm might be contributing to the problem. Once again, failure. Another 2+ weeks passed and the ice maker was frozen over again. At this point I just went to Amazon and purchased a good heat gun and established the habit of thoroughly melting the ice and drying the entire area out, then leaving the ice maker off for a few days while checking to make sure that things stayed dry. After this ritual I turn the ice maker back on and now get about 4-5 weeks of use before having to de-ice again. My 21st century ice dispenser has to be maintained in the same manner as a freezer from the 1950s. Because of this I buy bags of cubed ice on a regular basis as a matter of habit. With the exception of the ice maker my Samsung Chefs Series refrigerator is pretty good with nice features and electronics. But given the price I paid for a flagship appliance from a top name manufacturer the overall experience has been a big disappointment. Even more so when Samsung Customer Support is factored in. This is a two-star review all the way.
The knobs on the slide in electric range with the knobs on the front turn too easily. At least twice we have had dishes explode due to the knobs turning from just leaning against them. My 2 year old can easily turn the knobs on and off. Numerous times I have come into the kitchen to see one of the burners red from accidentally being turned on. The most recent dish explosion was today. I had set a bowl of squash on top of the over and about 10 minutes later I could smell something burning, I came out and the cooktop was set too high (I must have leaned up against it at some point), I immediately shut it off and the dish exploded, there was glass all over me, the counter, floor, I stepped on a piece that was in back of me and cut my foot. I was also holding my toddler at the time and I’m thankful none of the glass got in her eyes. There were shards of glass all over the place, we have a dog and two small children. This is very unsafe and Samsung really needs to address the unsafe design of these knobs. You barely have to push on them to turn them, this is a huge safety concern, especially as a fire hazard.
Last year at the Black Friday sale I purchase the French door Samsung fridge and a Samsung dishwasher. Terrible experience. Fridge and dishwasher came defective. I paid warranty on both. After so much trouble they finally fixed my fridge, which would make this terrible noise, like an old car. Now, with the dishwasher for which I paid 700 dollars, came with a defective rail on one of the trays, and also the door is defective. Neither Lowes or Samsung have been able to help me. They said is nothing they can do. Even with the warranty. I havent been able to use my dishwasher and I still making payments on it. Never in my life I will buy or recommend Samsung products again. And not at Lowes either. They are the worst.
We purchased a new Samsung (dishwasher) appliance set 2 years ago. Constant bad odors & not cleaning well. During that time I had service come out several times. They always said everything was fine. Suggested cleaning products etc. All of which I tried. Nothing worked. The smell of this unit was horrible. Finally got rid of it and bought a Kitchen Aide. Love it! No odors and cleans well. I will never buy another Samsung product.
My Samsung dishwasher broke after 6 months. Soap was still in the dispenser after the cycle was finished. They fixed it and it broke 2 months later and Samsung gave me the run around for a month. I could not get anyone out here to fix it. I called Home Depot, where I bought it from and they finally sent someone out. They came 3 times and changed several parts. The machine was still broken. We have had food poisoning and are sick with colds constantly from the mold smell in there. Samsung offered to buy it back and they have taken 2 months so far to get this together. I have had this moldy, dishwasher in my kitchen and they keep giving me the run around. Terrible customer service. Games played with me and people even hanging up on me when I have called them. I wish there was something more I could do. I wish someone could call for me and fix this. Samsung is making me keep this dishwasher until they are done with the paperwork and say that the refund is complete. They said if I get rid of the dishwasher that they would not give us our money back. I do not know what else to do. Maybe call a lawyer and sue them. Why are they holding me hostage. I need that refund to buy a new one. I the meantime, I am washing 3 loads of dishes by hand a day, while being sick from this junk dishwasher. How can they do this.
My most recent item is a fridge freezer 600 liter. Just out of warranty my fridge temperature kept going up. I rang Samsung and they were very good and helpful. The mechanic came out to fix the problem. He said that he had come across this problem before and that they have fixed the problem with newer models. 10 months later my power safety switch kept tripping out after the electrician and I spent hours trying to find the source of the problem and found it to be the fridge. I have had other Samsung products and have had problems. I would never buy or have another Samsung product.
I have had to get the stove repaired twice, dishwasher once and the refrigerator has practically all the shelves cracked or broken. We bought all these appliances from Lowes In 2017. My wife and are over 65 and live alone so these are not abused, do not buy Samsung, maybe TVs.
2014 model rh29h9000 - This model is extremely loud when cycles on. Looks great but have to exchange because of volume of motor. Exchange for the same model and the same problem occurred. If you like to listen to your refrigerator then this models for you. Too noisy. Will be exchanging this one as well. Samsung should stick with TVs.
My Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model # RF32FMQDBSR/AA quit cooling after 12.5 months of use. It took two months and two visits from the technician to determine that the problem was with the sealed refrigeration system. The first trip the technician replace a circuit board and left immediately. This did not fix the problem. Communication with the Samsung provided service technician was very poor. At first the technician has excuses for not coming back then he just did not respond to calls. I called Samsung and requested another service company. They referred me back to the same guy. After each call I was would be called within 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. He did eventually come back (it has now been two months) and changed the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. He said the problem was in the sealed refrigeration system and could not be repaired. So I Called Samsung to ask how this would be handled. The sealed refrigeration system has a five year warranty. First, I was told that they would exchange the unit and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Nothing! So I called back and they said they wanted a second opinion from a second technician and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again no response. So I called again and They had referred me back to the same company as before. When I told them that this is the same company as before they said they would look for another company and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again I had to call them to get a status. They said that they did not have a second company in the area to get the second opinion; therefore, they could not exchange the unit, and that I would be getting a refund instead. Every time I call it just gets worse. They say I will only get a partial refund. So I asked if the unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system how come I cannot get an exchange or get it repaired. Samsung customer executive care said the warranty is not valid because there is no service available in my area to fix the sealed system. You think they would replace it. Nope! It has now been over three months and I am waiting on the emails with the instructions on how I am to proceed.
