We purchased an expensive Samsung refrigerator (model # RFG297AAWP). If any water from the water dispenser does not make it into the cup, it leaks behind the clear protective plastic coating on the refrigerator door. (Obviously it was not sealed properly... a manufacturers defect.) The water leaves unsightly stains on the refrigerator door that cannot be cleaned (because it is behind the plastic coating). It is embarrassing to have company over because the refrigerator looks filthy. Its frustrating that it is not cleanable. Samsung accepts no responsibility for this because they claim it is cosmetic in nature. Yes, my refrigerator still keeps the food cold... but it looks horrendous!Furthermore, Samsung has since changed the door. I was willing to pay $300 for a new door even though the issue was Samsungs fault. However, the replacement door does not match the other door. Samsung changed the look of the doors. (The new door is more squared off and less rounded, plus the handle is higher than the handle on the second door.) My only option is to replace BOTH doors at $600. Samsung claims no responsibility and will do nothing other than let me know its my problem to deal with. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Their customer service is poor and they accept responsibility for nothing! Im done with Samsung!

My Samsung refrigerator is still under factory warranty (5-years). The freezer compressor, heat exchanger & filter dryer went out. Contacted Samsung at least 10 times over the past two weeks. Their contractor that does their warranty repair does not have any certified technicians in my area and advised me to go back to Samsung for them to locate a certified technician. Samsung states they dont have any certified technicians and they will refund me up to $1954.00 (key word up to). However it will take 10-14 days for their finance dept. to verify the amount and issue a check. That means 30 days without a freezer compartment. I need ice to pack on my wifes leg for her knee replacement surgery. Temps. here in So. Calif. have been running between 100f and 114f. Constant running to store to obtain ice. The sad part is every time I speak with their rep. on the phone the issue will be taken care of in 3 days. Never will I buy a Samsung product again. Their service is terrible.

I am so utterly disappointed and frustrated with Samsung. We have a few Samsung items in my home. TV, Washer and Dryer and French Door Refrigerator with freezer on the bottom. We have hard water in my home and wonder if this could be the issue. Almost one year from our delivery of our brand new refrigerator from HOME DEPOT, the ice maker stopped making ice. When we investigated further, we noticed that ice wasnt dropping and there was frost and freeze everywhere. We began the regular ritual of using my hairdryer to defrost the ice maker. I called Samsung. Our unit was out of warranty for 3 days. They would not make accommodations and would not bend, even a bit. Nope. Nothing. I was livid. CUSTOMER SERVICE is not alive and well in SAMSUNG. They flip the consumer off with a hand gesture and send you on your way, after all, they already have my money. NO SAMSUNG IN MY HOUSE, ever again. I will pay more for something else. Im so happy to see the debacle unfolding with their line of tablets, phones, etc... Sorry for the consumer, dont get me wrong. I hate that company.

Just adding to the huge damning file on Samsung. My experience is the same as everyone else on this site. Dishwasher breaks down 1 month outside warranty, and there is NO fix for it. Calls for help to Samsung are useless as all they do is refer you to a service center. How can they get away with this? Samsung dishwashers simply suck! Dont buy!!! I am currently into attempting my own repair on this machine. Just stripping and cleaning everything but reached a point where heavy lifting is required and thought I would check online for help - when I found this site. I will go no further, just put back together, start it up and if it is still not working, I will trash it! No sense putting good money after bad.

Since June 14, I’ve made several calls to Samsung to correct the finish coming off the oven, trays coming loose in the fridge and bubbling of the control panel on the oven. They just kept asking for receipts, pictures, descriptions, several times. Every time I got a new person, had to go thru the explanation all over. They told me I bought this May 2018, out of warranty, until I sent a receipt showing July 2018. Anyhow by the time the fix it guy got approved to look at it, he came, took video all over again to prove the appliances were in our house??? Talked to the rep and was told they wouldn’t cover it, REALLY??? The fix it guy said we would have to call them back, OMG, and ask why they wouldn’t cover it. Called and they had no record of any problems and to give them a week and call back. Ready to return this crap back to them. Never been so frustrated!!!

I finally got my dream house in 2012, so I was excited to be able to buy all new, top of the line kitchen appliances! My husband told the salesman that he loves bells and whistles and that was the wrong thing to say! However, our excitement was short lived when each appliance started having problems. First was the dishwasher, next the refrigerator, then the range, and last of all the over the stove microwave. This all started just as soon as the one year warranty ran out.The smooth top, convection range causes me to burn food due to its constantly increasing temperature to high, no matter what its set on. The fan in the convection oven rattles. The icemaker of the 4 door French door fridge stopped working. The dishwasher throws out numerous error codes and stops working. The microwave constantly blows light bulbs and it starts running every time you open the door. We paid a small fortune to get these beautiful appliances for our fabulous new kitchen and wouldnt complain if we had bought them for looks only! Do yourself a favor and buy something that works and AVOID SAMSUNG!

We bought the dishwasher January 2011 and problems began in October 2011. We have had 4 different service visits with the 4th being today, March 20th 2011. It is still not fixed and now we are without a dishwasher since January 16th. Repairs have all been different, but the problem has been the same. The dishwasher stops mid-cycle and 2 lights blink. Their first repair over the phone was to turn off the breaker and try again. This did not help. Here is the timeline of repairs: 2011 - October 3, I called for appointment. October 24, repaired detergent latch. 2012 - January 16, I called for appointment. January 25, repaired drain pump. February 17, I called for appointment. March 15, replaced sump pump assembly. March 15, I called for appointment. March 20, I ordered something for the heater. This is getting absolutely absurd.

My appliances are not a year old. Spray arm fell off dishwasher. Microwave is a piece of garbage. Refrigerator/freezer makes so much noise that we have to close our bedroom door to sleep because it sounds as if someone is trying to break in. I am so disappointed. I have had to call Samsung for support and am amazed. You can not understand the service representatives. The service representatives know absolutely nothing and continuously put you on hold for long periods of time. Who has time for this? Many dont they stand behind these supposedly top of the line products that cost a fortune? What can I do?

Weve owned a number of Samsung products from washer/dryer units to dishwashers and microwaves. Our family has been pleased with the quality of those products. The refrigerators are another story altogether. About 6 months after getting our stainless Samsung fridge, the front of both doors began rusting. This seemed absurd and I called Samsung expecting some kind of answer and/or assistance in dealing with this. Wrong! Not only did their customer service team insist that this was purely a cosmetic problem so not covered under any kind of product warranty, but when I escalated this to a specialty department, I was told that nothing would/could be done, the problem was mine, and basically too bad. A fridge should not rust after a few years let alone a few months. This was shocking. Im now totally turned off the Samsung brand and will no longer be purchasing their products. When I said this to the service team, their response was oh well. Nice.

This refrigerator is only 3 years old but nothing but problems I have talked to them numbers of times to replace it or recall them but they do nothing. It continues to freeze up inside interior cabinet and has to be taken apart to melt the ice from mechanical parts to be able to keep it working. It also freezes in Ice maker and has to be defrosted with a hairdryer. The ice maker has replaced 2 times and the freezer door broke and that cost me over 500$ to replace. All they will discuss tell me to call service to repair at my cost. This was a 3000$ refrigerator and a French door model. I have reported it BBB but that didnt gain anything. I just consider it junk.

The website is giving me the run around. Tried chat, Rawson said I am afraid we at technical live chat support do not have instructions to open the door. If I had that instructions, I would have definitely provided you with that. My response to Samsung, why claim you have any support when technical support does not have instructions? The challenge I have, I have a French Door model refrigerator with a bottom freezer, pull out drawer. There are two screws that fasten the handle to unlatch the freezer drawer and to pull the drawer open. The left screw holding the handle fell out. When I tried to screw it back in, there were no threads to screw into. Apparently, the device which the screw was threaded to came loose and fell to the bottom of the inside of the freezer drawer door. All I want are the instructions to open up the door to determine if I need to buy another fasten or what. Samsung says this refrigerator is out of warranty. I have a refrigerator, the inside tag states May 2013 so little more than 2 years old and its coming unscrewed, so has Samsung screwed me!!!

We purchased a self cleaning, Samsung stove April 11, 2018 from Trail Appliances in Red Deer, Ab. I have used the self cleaning mode 3 times, & 3 times the C-31 displays after using it & the display panel will not work. The 1st time, I was without an oven for 15 days, the 2nd time, 9 days & am waiting again, for it to be fixed. I was told by 2 people at Trail Appliances, & Brian, from Samsung, to just not use the self cleaning feature. In my opinion, that is like buying a new car, & them telling you to not use the headlights! The salesman certainly did not warn us that all of the brand names who have the self cleaning feature, had issues. Their solution was, that whenever I use the self clean mode, to pull the oven away from the wall 6 & turn the fan on full blast for the duration of the cycle! Even the repairman said that they are a problem. Samsung said they will just keep fixing it until my warranty runs out because there is no problem, & he was very rude to me as he kept raising his voice & was yelling at me. Brian ** from Samsung. My warranty runs out in April, & I am SOL, so dont buy from Samsung!

While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.

So much for Asian technology, and do not expect any red carpet treatment from Samsung CSRs!!!!! I am so sorry I bought this!!! And will never call Samsung again. Repacking a door when you just need the seal! The cost of a gasket $20 maybe, but the entire door is what they want to sell me at $250. just to get a new bottom door seal. Highway robbery. I will never buy your product again. Totally ridiculous! This dishwasher still looks great but it is being trashed. Can’t use it, leaks water all over the floor without the gasket. I won’t waste any more fixing this product. Buying a new Whirlpool! Never buy Samsung Dishwashers!

I just bought a Samsung French door refrigerator rf263beaesg and waited 2 hours for the unit to get cold. The inside temperature has not changed one degree! I called the company I bought it from. No help. The lady answered the phone gave me the number to Samsung. They offered no help except to say I have to wait 24 hours. I wished they would have told me that before my old fridge was towed out! Meanwhile Ive bought cheaper refrigerators and they were cold in less than an hour. $1400.00 fridge, 24 hours. Go figure. Technology failed in this case! So is that how its an energy saver by not working?

Samsung refrigerator RF26X Series Model # RF26XAERS. My wife and I purchased a 26 cu ft Samsung refrigerator french door freezer on the bottom on October 12, 2011. We spent over $3,000 on Friday December 16th, 2016 the freezer & ice maker quit working at the same time. I contacted Samsung about the matter and I was informed that my warranty was expired, the refrigerator came with a 12 month warranty then we added a five-year warranty on top of that. Question is how can it be expired? Its only been 5 years total including the original 12 months that came with the purchase. I would like a full refund. Please dont buy anything from Samsung. Youve been warned.

Bought 3-Door Refrigerator/Freezer (RFG299AARS). The plastic part behind the freezer handle broke. Samsung sent wrong part to replace it and said they had discontinued the item. Couldnt find anything that wasnt generic and had to be modified to fit the unit. The glass crisper cover broke immediately and the weight of the full drawers broke the humidity selections out as well. Cannot place any weight on top of the cover. Now the vegetables arent climate controlled and the vegetables will freeze. Climate control throughout the refrigerator is not even and anything pushed to back of refrigerator freezes. The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? Had to fight to get the extended warranty protection directly from Samsung to be honored. Then the repairman refused to return because he hadnt been paid by the company.

Samsung SMH9187ST microwave - I have had my microwave for about 2 years and I also got the SE error. I took it out and took it to a repair place. They replaced the keypad. I brought it home, put it back up and it worked for about one month or two. I pulled it out and took it back to the repair place, and they said it worked fine. They ran it all week and still no problem. I went, picked it up again and placed it back in. The microwave ran for about 2 weeks and now its totally dead. Nothing.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in 2010. In late 2012 I noticed a little rust at the bottom of the water/ice dispenser. I thought at first It was externally caused. When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.

I have the Samsung RS265TDRS side by side refrigerator which I purchased 8-11-10 from hhgregg. I purchased a 5 year warranty with it at the time. Since the purchase, within a week I started calling for service. They replaced the display, ice maker, main control board, evaporator fan twice while it was in warranty. Since the warranty ran out in the past year I have replaced the evaporator fan and have had to remove and defrost the coils in the refrigerator twice and open the drain in the pan on the freezer side. Right now I have the icemaker pulled out and the water turned off. It kept putting water in the ice maker but wasnt dumping ice. Ice built up inside the freezer like a glacier. So I called Samsung Chat!! They claimed they are unaware of any of these issues on their website! DUH! Anyways they claim they have filed a report and will get back with me. Well see! In my opinion I have a LEMON!! BAD Purchase!! No Backup!! They should stick with electronics! Do not recommend Samsung Refrigerators!

The ice maker didnt work on it as soon as we got it moved in. It was still under warranty then so they sent out a repair man to install a whole new freeze door because the ice maker is in the door. Even the repair man said they have more calls on Samsung than any other fridge. FYI, he said that Whirlpool is the best one to buy. They only offered a protection plan that costs more than the microwave did new. I purchased an entire suite of Samsung appliances when I moved into my new home. Have had problems with all four of them. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I work in a Day Spa that has over 300 clients through it in a week and I will make sure everyone knows about the issues I have had with Samsung products. I have a daughter that is an Interior Designer and she will never recommend the products again. My other daughter is a Realtor and she will be informing all her clients of my problems. My new mission in life is to make sure everyone know what poor quality Samsung has in service and products. If you read this PLEASE do not make my mistake. I took the extended warranty on the big four door fridge. The ice maker freezes up every two months even with biweekly cleaning. Takes the company at least three (3) weeks to get here to repair it. The only answer is to not buy this product. Friends dont let friends buy Samsung. Dont buy Samsung!!!

We acquired our refrigerator Model #RF4287HARS in late 2010. The representatives sold my wife and I on durability and long lasting performance. Since the purchase we have had less than adequate technicians out to work on the refrigerator. The freezer just stopped working, the ice maker stayed messed up and very aggravating to press buttons to change ice cube size. It just quit working. The freezer was never repaired after parts were ordered and placed on. Over $600.00 in costs to us. The refrigerator has been a total piece of junk at a purchase price of $2310.00. We bought parts and paid repairs, and the technicians did not get the right parts, then when correct parts came in they said it would be useless to put on because the freezer was not worth repairs. We were reimbursed $195.82! Ha.After all the stress and aggravation, needless to say the ruined food we stored in freezer - a great loss. We were so sickened by the fact that we thought we made the best choice in buying a Samsung appliance, but this has proven to be a very expensive and stressful experience. And we bought a dishwasher at the same time, but replaced it in 2 years for $650.00. It did not clean and didnt last. Just thought we made a mistake and bought a cheap one. The one we bought in late 2012 is working like a charm, but it is not a Samsung product.

On July 2016 I purchase all my kitchen appliances from Samsung at Best Buy. Unfortunately its not a year of purchase and I had a very bad experience which I believe its not fair for any consumer. First, they advertises that the appliances are stainless steel, which is not. It is hard to clean. On the range side the flat top is also hard to clean and it scratches easily, which it shouldnt happen due to the fact that that is a every day use item with multiple use. I dont accept the fact that they are saying that it is cosmetic and also is tear and wear before a year of purchase. I live alone and barely cook for this to happen. Im very disappointed with this product and the way that they handle and washes off the responsibility of the quality of their products. This is not an item that costs $100 or less we are speaking of an item that the price is over a $1,000. Unfortunately according to them there is nothing to be done.

Eight to ten months ago, I noticed the SE error on my Samsung over the stove microwave. I tried all the advice I found online but nothing worked. I called Samsung to find out what I could do about having it repaired but the microwave was about 18 months old and out of warranty. Blast! The microwave was only 18 months old and now I have to buy a new one. I gave it one more shot and called Samsung again. This time, I spoke to a very nice young gentleman and he came back with, Samsung does extend the warranty for one time repairs, and said he could help me. So he took care of scheduling a repair and after 3 tries of installing a new computer in the microwave, the last one finally worked. So here I am again, just 8 months later back in the same position with no microwave and no Ace in the Hole! Well Im going to give it a shot again and see if maybe my luck will hold out. We purchased a 2 door, 2 drawer Samsung refrigerator at a cost of approximately $4,000.00, 3 years ago. The fridge stopped working a few months ago. We had an appliance repair company that was referred to us by Home Depot for this brand. The circuit board was defective. Samsung stopped making that particular circuit board and refused a solution for the repair of our fridge. After checking out the Samsung service of parts for repair, we found out they do not support the repair companies with parts or solutions. Our 3 year old Samsung side-by-side with all the bells and whistles stopped cooling, both freezer and refrig side. After dealing with the noise created by freezing up inside freezing and fan hitting the ice, we learned to defrost it for a while then it worked. But now, after turning back on after defrosting a FROST FREE unit, the whole thing stopped working. Called Samsung and was told no warranty left on this appliance. Their repair company would take several days to come out, so I had my own repair person come look at it. They replaced several things, then came to the conclusion it was the compressor. This person even went online and discovered that there was supposed to be a 5 year warranty on the compressor that no one at Samsung told me about. I called back to Samsung to complain that I was technically deceived by not being told about the warranty. They said Too bad my technician had voided that warranty by trying to fix the thing and they would not honor any part of warranty. I am furious! I spoke with the highest department I could get to in Samsung with no success. I even asked for a CEO or someone like that who would listen to my complaint: Nothing. Now In stuck with a 300 pound paperweight~ wonder if it worth putting a new compressor in it since nearly everything else has been replaced? Dont Buy Samsung Appliances!!

I purchased this beautiful refrigerator RF4287HA. After 13 months, an error code showed up on the display. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair service. When this particular one was made, the assembly line forgot to put the protective plastic cover over one of the sensors which allowed the sensor to drop down and be cut off by the smaller plastic drawer in the freezer. Repairman said we should get our money back for the service repair since this was a defect when this one was made (even though it was about 5 weeks over the 1-year warranty).Basically, somebody did not do their job when our refrigerator was made. After 4 calls to Samsung, they told us to send a statement from the repairman and they would refund our service call fee. After 2 months, a message was left that it was not going to be refunded. I have a Samsung dishwasher that was manufactured in 2011 (model number DMT400RHS). It has several physical defects. The lower front cover (part Number AP4342361) caught on the door repeatedly and bent, which requires me to periodically rescrew it to the dishwasher. A prong on my upper dish rack snapped off and is rusting. The dish rack rollers (part Number AP4342187) pop off of the dish rack repeatedly. The biggest problem, however, is that a metal piece of the interior cabinet has partially detached and bent. It prevents the lower dish rack from being pulled out or pushed in without a great deal of effort - particularly if it is weighted with plates. I was told by a Samsung authorized service technician that this problem could not be repaired but that the part was under a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, since I am not the original purchaser of the dishwasher (the previous owners of my home installed it), Samsung will not offer me any compensation or assistance in finding a solution.

The only way to stop it is to open the door. If I press the stop/clear button while the door is open it does nothing, as the unit starts up again as soon as I close the door. The ONLY thing that stops this is if I open the door, press the 1 {1 second} button, close the door, and then press start. The unit then cooks for 1 second, and finally shuts off.

I purchased the Samsung refrigerator from Sears 1/5/2012. It was a very costly purchase - $2500.00. Shortly after I had it, the ice maker didnt freeze/chill well. That issue was addressed. Then the ice maker didnt give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. I have contacted Samsung and they have not attempted to reach out to me to resolve this problem with their product.

My elderly mother bought a Samsung refrigerator, microwave and stove and they worked well for at least the first year. Since then, the handles on both the microwave and freezer door of the refrigerator have both broken off (my mother is in her 70s and not very strong) and it has cost her literally hundreds of dollars to have servicemen come and fix them because the warranty was no longer valid. She has spent more money trying to fix them than they were worth when she bought them!!! She is now having trouble with her stove, a stove which offers a divider so that one doesnt have to heat up the entire stove just a small portion of it (given that she is generally only cooking for herself). Well, guess what, the stove blew and the only way to get it to work is to remove the divider (the very reason she bought that stove) and Samsung will do nothing about it. These are products that should last AT LEAST ten years before any problems occur. Worst customer service, worst products. Worst of all, I recommended them to my elderly mother! So infuriated!

Purchased Samsung Refrigerator in April of 2019, by Sept of 2019 freezer stopped working, a week later refrigerator stopped working. Called samsung and they sent out 2 different repair places, first one told us it was a sealed system and they did not work on those. Called Samsung back and asked them to replace the refrigerator they said they would have to try to repair first and unless there was a second problem that came up they would not replace it. Well that second problem was the refrigerator stopped cooling, I placed a thermometer that I purchased in refrigerator and took pictures, of temperature. The thermometer said 48 degrees while Samsung digital readout said it was 34 degrees. We lost over $400 dollars with of food and we see that Samsung will possibly reimburse up to $200 (maybe). Second repair person came out and said that he could not fix problem today that he would have to order parts which would take 3-5 days to get then schedule another appointment to do a temporary fix, he said he would recharge the system and then when we saw a temperature change of 10 degrees to call them and they would send a tech back out to attempt to find the leak. He stated that once they found the leak they would have to order parts and schedule another appointment to fix said it could take 2-3 weeks. All he did was take down serial number and model number never even checked out to see if he could find a problem. I called Samsung back and they did their Usual BS trying to get me to wait on repairs that could take another 2-3 weeks. I told her how about I come to your house and take your refrigerator away and you have nothing to store food in would that be an inconvenience. She said I understand your frustration but there is nothing I can do. I asked to speak to supervisor and she finally approved to replace the refrigerator said it would take approximately 7-14 days to get a replacement. Their Customer service Sucks. The refrigerator is a POS. I will never purchase any Samsung Products no matter what From here on out. Save yourself the headache and stress of having to deal with them and buy anything but Samsung. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!!!! THIS PRODUCT DOESNT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR RATING!!!! But unable to give it a negative rating.

Horrible. Spent thousands on the refrigerator and now I see filter light on and learn I need to spend $45 every 6 months to replace water filter. Also, microwave filter needs to be replaced every 6 months as well- only $11 for that. Why didnt the Lowes salesman tell me I would need to spend additional money every 6 months and replace these filters? Also, when I called customer service I needed to ask him to spell out what he was saying because I could not understand a word. Not sure which country I reached but it sure wasnt the US. I will not even go into the fact that I also bought a Samsung electric oven/cooktop and needed to replace the cooktop after 3 months because it cracked. Samsung products are horrible. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again.

Our Samsung DMR77LHW model that we purchased as part of a kitchen renovation some 5 years ago has been a source of frustration for the last 4 years. We had it repaired twice under an extended warranty (thank God!!); the first time just a year after purchase (replaced circuit board) and then again this past winter (entire top rack, door gasket, top rotary washing arm). Between those 2 service calls (and continuing to this day), nothing but poor performance and failing parts: Brittle and broken rack clips, recurring SE error (and now a PE code yesterday!) during normal cycle, cleaned dishes and glasses with odd food particles caked on, very wet items after the drying cycle, etc. We will be replacing this piece of cr*p in the next month because we have endured it long enough. Shame on Samsung for STILL producing such low quality products 5 years after we bought our own. I thought that this manufacturer would improve its appliances based on all this consumer feedback, but apparently Samsung doesnt care about that. So, junk products + poor customer service experience = a company to boycott. Bye bye Samsung. You have lost another client. Not just for dishwashers, but your ENTIRE line of products, I.e., Mobile Devices, TV & Audio, Cameras & Camcorders, PC monitors & Printers, Home Appliances, and Memory/Storage (as per your products list at Samsung.com). You will not get my business again!

We bought a Samsung refrigerator 5 1/2 years ago and the compressor stopped working by end of April 2019. Called customer service and they promised to refund full amount as the compressor had 10 year warranty. I have been calling Samsung on my day off for past 3 months, and every time there is a different person with different story. Today they offered me a big $200 refund for a $1600 refrigerator and took 3 months for them to tell me this!!!! Samsung has the WORST customer service and do not train their people at all. I do not know whom to talk to get my money back. CAN anyone from Samsung contact me. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS PLEASE.

My Samsung Refrigerator was a gift from my husband. I was so excited and looking forward to having a new refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be a nightmare. The refrigerator was purchased in 2014 along with an extended warranty. Within 6 months the ice maker went out. It took 3 trips to repair it. Within 2 weeks it was out again. It took 4 visits to get it fixed this time and we learned it was a design flaw that Samsung knew about, but refused to correct the problem. Instead Samsung sent out a list of things the technicians could do to try and make the ice makers work longer. Again, it failed and a New Ice Maker was put in. That lasted about 6 months, however it leaked the whole time. Once again the ice maker went out. Same issues as before. Here I sit with the ice maker out yet again with Technicians coming out this week. All the while I am having to purchase Ice, make arrangements to be here for the technicians and listen to the excuses of which NONE are satisfactory. Home Depot and Samsung will not replace the refrigerator, because of an ice maker issue. What is worse now is the water leaking from the ice maker is dripping on the electrical components on the drawer below, which could cause a short or electrical issue. This is a VERY POOR appliance and I do not recommend it to anyone.

After less than two years with very little use, the microwave started beeping and giving error code SE. I tried all suggestion of unplugging, disconnecting wiring, etc. but still have defective unit. Based on the Consumer Reports review (microwave has since been dropped from their recommended list), I purchased the SMH9187ST. It worked great for 13 months then died with the dreaded SE error. I tried resetting the control module and worked for another week. I contacted Samsung and they acted like I was crazy. But thanks to kind folks in this forum, I went to repairclinic.com and purchased the replacement model item #2024600 and part #DE94-01999C for $70. I got it in a week and took all of 5 minutes to replace. I will restate the procedure: 1. Unscrew the 2 top vent screws and slide to the left. 2. Take out the top control module screw and gently remove, watching out for the tabs on the bottom. 3. There are 6 wiring connections that pull away very easily. Mark them if you need to.4. Put everything back and youre done. Working great! So far. This was way easier than I thought. Also, I contacted Consumer Reports and they provided info for filing formal complaints with various agencies. But they must be listening because Samsung is no longer in their OTR recommended list.

I have bought Samsung French door refrigerator RF260BEAEWW in 2013.. It came defective since the freezer compartment never started freezing. The store took it back and delivered a new one. I had purchased 5 years warranty on it. And guess what, it is 5 years and 7 months and it broke down. The freezer quit freezing and refrigerator compartment doesnt keep cool temperatures well either. It did work 5 years that they guaranteed, but I would expect this big and expensive items should work longer and not break down right after warranty was over. My older refrigerator is 15 y.o and working just fine without a blip.I called Samsung and created a repair case. I decided to endure the repair cost than to buy a new one. I was too optimistic. Three days later Samsung called back saying that they are closing my case because ‘they don’t have repair technicians’ in my area!!! Just like that.. ‘It’s out of warranty, it’s in the area we don’t serve – so we are closing the case’, and it’s your problem now. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again.

Two months after buying a brand new side by side Samsung refrigerator, a fan blade broke and the sound was very loud. It took Samsung 10 days to find a technician to come to the house. The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. She was not very sympathetic and said that the part was on its way and thats the best that they could do. It was a major purchase for us and we felt cheated. Will think twice before buying another Samsung appliance!

We bought an RF267 series refrigerator. And like many on this site, we started to experience problems with the ice maker right away. It only makes ice when it feels like it. Sometimes we will go for a couple of months without any ice, and then it starts to make ice with no warning. Most of the time it just makes clunking and popping noises. This has gone on for a couple of years and after reading about all of the other problems, I am afraid to have it repaired. It seems I am lucky compared to most of you. I also have two Samsung TVs that after just a couple of years experienced pixel problems and then just simply wont power up when the power button is pressed. I can safely say that I wont buy another Samsung product.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator 6 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and to top it off Samsung Customer Service is a joke. I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didnt touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. (That should have been a red flag.) The person on the other end asked for serial number and everything else you can imagine about my refrigerator. After I gave her my zip code she proceeded to tell me that Samsung doesnt service in my area. Really? Well they sure sell in my area. Tonight my husband pulled the refrigerator out of the wall and recycled the power. All of a sudden water was all over the place. We have unloaded the freezer and refrigerator and I will be buying another tomorrow. I had this 6 year old refrigerator serviced last year with a bill of over $300.00. It was horrible trying to get someone to work on it. I will not EVER buy another Samsung product. I have two friends remodeling their kitchens and believe me I am spreading the word. Samsung is a poor product all the way around and so is their customer service. I cant get this product out of my house quick enough. Samsung, thanks for nothing!!!

We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator from Lowes in January of 2015. To date we have had almost a dozen service calls because the freezer frosts over and the refrigerator quits cooling. We have lost tons of food and are very frustrated.

I paid around $2,000 for a Samsung refrigerator from National Appliance chain H.H. Gregg. The refrigerator and freezer stopped working after 18 months. So far neither company is interested in fixing it. The parts take over 1 week to arrive. What can you say about this tv that hasn't already been said in the previous reviews. I had the choice between buying an additional boxcar on my private train and this tv and made the right decision! I'll probably buy the boxcar next week, or maybe a new train entirely, but I digress. The tv is truly breathtaking and after my hired help had it working, my monocle fell right off my face and would have shattered had I not been able to catch it in my top hat before it fell to the ground. If you have a few extra pounds in your trust fund, have your closest man-servant make the purchase and thank me later!

RF32FMQDBSR - Bought 11/29/13. 3 calls to have icemaker fixed in first 3 months. Month 15, cooling problems started for main fridge cavity. Had an extended warranty (THANK GOD), repairman took 3 trips to finally contact Samsung Engineers who then deemed my unit not repairable. Just ridiculous for as much as this thing cost to have 2 major issues in less than 2 years. My previous fridge lasted for over 15 years with the only issue being the seals around the doors wearing out. Samsung makes you do a song and dance to get your money back, which includes me disposing off fridge. I dont get reimbursed the tax I paid (nearly $300) and I have to peel stickers and cut the power cord.

I bought both appliance about 1 a day half year ago from Home Depot. I found the dishwasher tends to clean dishes well. Started last week, the refrigerator (rf263beaesr) started to have problem - the refrigerator was too cold. I unplugged it and waited for half day, and plugged it back. I found water was leaking from the water filter area. I found the water reservoir was broken. The refrigerator still way too cold, everything was frozen in refrigerator. My impression is that Samsung makes good-looking products, but the quality is really not up to the par. Ill not buy Samsung products for a long time.

Ive owned a SXS Samsung Refrigerator for 2 years. I bought it based on reviews of excellence. The refrigeration system itself works fine, but the ice maker is now called the Monster. The ice flies all over the floor regardless of the container/glass I use. And today, the ice jammed in the release element, backing up in the freezer. When it unjammed, about 6 cups of ice came pouring out at once. I guess Samsung makes some fine products, but refrigerators are not one of them.

Recently purchased from Lowes a Samsung dishwasher (Summer 2018 Model). Original price, 599.00. Had it professionally installed. It is relatively quiet compared to my old one, however it will not dry the dishes. It does have a heating element, but no matter what cycle is on, it will not drain entirely, so when the heating element turns on during the drying cycle, it just heats up the standing rinse water left in the bottom creating a huge amount of steamed rinse water and saturating the dishes. If I hold down the start button for 3 seconds it will magically drain entirely, but manually completes the cycle so drying is off. WET DISHES. I hope the appliance engineers at Samsung go back to R&D school, and definitely need to stay away from Samsung Audio Video electronics. They will surely ruin the only good product in the brand.
