Product Reviews:

We've had it almost a year, the problem was evident from the start; at times the washer would NEVER stop. The first call to LG service said there were no faults in the machine (over the phone code reading) just out of balance load. BUT we were told NEVER put pants AND shirts in the machine together! Err, WHAT!? The second call we were told we were out of the service area, funny; we had asked that from Home Depot BEFORE we bought it. But after a few emails to LG they did find someone and he came out and replaced the computer. Now the machine does finish the load IF and only IF it's happy and in a good mood. Balance is really critical and it tries for a long time to rebalance it before giving up. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the washer at this point, it is just a BAD design, STAY AWAY. And the warranty department doesn't really give a damn.

The LG washer we purchased, while now out of warranty, is part of a recall for a potentially dangerous failure, where the drum spins unbalanced and out of control causing the whole machine to be violently tossed about. This has been a three week ordeal, so far. The service center has been very good but the part they need is on back-order, nationally. As of this morning 12/3/2015 I'm told by LG that they have an "anticipated" arrival date of the 12/16. LG's customer service manager tells me that we have no options other than wait. Ever been without a washer for a month during the biggest holiday season of the year? I own an electronics repair shop. Among others, we're Samsung authorized. If a part can't be delivered within 7 days, Samsung will ship a brand new TV to the customer. THAT's customer service. At this point I'm basically forced to buy a new washer, have the LG repaired in the garage whenever they can, and give it to a family member or friend that needs one. Happy holidays LG. You've seen my last dollar.

I am so sorry to see so many people having the same problem. Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749AWM2 purchased 12-10-11. Control Panel needs replaced (260.00...service call, part and labor). Writing this as I've spent the last 20 mins on hold with Maytag. I'm demanding them to make this right. I've been told by Trisha at Maytag not to believe all these post as people tend to exaggerate the problems. Anybody have info on class action lawsuit? ?

I purchased a top loading LG washing machine three years ago and I absolutely hate it!!! It takes forever to wash and the clothes don't smell clean! The machine itself stinks and It is so bad I have to use air fresheners in my laundry room. I tried the tub cleaning liquid (whoever thought you would have to clean a washing machine!) and bleach several times and only on the day I do this does it not smell. By the next day the smell is back! Don't buy this washing machine! I am so sorry I purchased it and I am ready to bust it up with a hammer so I can get a new one (never LG again!). Paid a lot of money for it too!

We bought our second LG. The first a top load steam washer and now a front loader. We bought it in 2014. And it has practically ruined our towels. Regardless of how many times I clean it with the clean option or wipe it down, it breeds mold and mildew. All of our towels stink like mold. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and drying off with a freshly laundered plush cotton towel and have it REEK of mold. It's disgusting. This model isn't covered in their recall, but $35 doesn't even touch what I paid for my towels. Their QC department needs to work with their engineering department and offer a fix to this issue for consumers.

Our just over 1 year old Whirlpool washer died completely last month (mid May). After calling them and being directed to the extended warranty dept (which we ended up purchasing), a repair guy came out and told us it was our main controller board. Three days later, he returned with the board and nothing. We were then told it was the user interface. They were on backorder until June 5, which means our machine would be out of commission for three weeks. I just received another call informing us the part was now on backorder until June 15. Whirlpool, on what planet is it acceptable for your appliances to be out of commission for six full weeks? Never again.

This LG WM357 OHVA Front Loading Washer is a lemon. Needed repair after approx. 6 months. Weights cracked on drum. Bounced all over the room. Fixed on warranty and broke again within the week. We've been without a washer since March (five months now) waiting for warranty support to fix it for real or get us a new machine. Very disappointed with the warranty coverage and timeliness of the fix. Choose a different brand.

I purchased the Kenmore Washer 100 series 4 month ago and I simply hate it. It has a supposed sensor for the water level and this is useless. It works for a very small load but even when the washer is only half full it does not add enough water. Yesterday I washed a bed spread that filled the washer about 3/4 and only the bottom of the spread was covered in water. I had to add 3 buckets of water to submerge the spread. Then when it rinses the lid locks therefore no chance to add water. Why should I be adding water anyway? In the past I have always bought Kenmore appliances. I will no longer.

I have owned my Fisher and Paykel Ecosmart Autowasher Model GWL15 since 2010. The first time, we had a problem with the spin cycle was August 2012 (past the 2 year warranty period). I paid $180 to have the pump replaced. The repairman said that this is a frequent problem with this brand of washers. Fast forward to today, April 6, 2014. The washer quit after the wash cycle again. I tried several times to reset it by unplugging it like the owner's manual instructed, only to have NO results again. I had to take the clothes out and wring them out by hand. I then had to empty the washer by hand to prepare for the repairman to come AGAIN. I will never buy another Fisher and Paykel product, nor will I recommend Fisher and Paykel to anyone!! I have never had any appliance fail like this one has.

We bought the Maytag washer from Home Depot on 5/4/2011 and it quit working on about 7/2014. We had a repairperson look at it and he said the drive transmission is worn out. He recommended that we buy a different machine since the part does not hold up since the part is made out of a plastic fiber material that does not show up. We bought the Maytag because we thought they had good products but a 3 year life on a wash machine is not acceptable. It is installed at our cabin so we only use it part of the year on limited bases.
