Miele Dryer Error Codes
If you're looking for help fixing your Miele Dryer, look no further! Our comprehensive Miele Dryer error code guide will explain common issues, provide tips, and show you how to read your model's error codes.
CODE: 66
PROBLEM: Miele Dryer Error Code 66 can also appear as 066 or f066 on the display. Either way, this code is signaling a ventilation issue with the dryer.
FIX: These are the most common causes and solutions for a Miele dryer giving Error Code 66:
Cause: Limited ventilation due to a small laundry space
Solution: Open the door or window to the laundry room to increase airflow
Cause: Dryer ventilation grille is obstructed
Solution: Remove any objects away from the grille
Cause: Lint filter is clogged or lint is blocking heat exchanger
Solution: Clean in and around the lint filter and clean the heat exchanger (refer to your user manual for specifics)
Cause: Insufficient spin cycle has left clothes damp
Solution: Remove laundry from the dryer and place back in the washer. Select a second spin cycle, spinning laundry again. Place laundry back in the dryer and start a new drying cycle.
Cause: Dryer drum is overloaded
Solution: Remove some clothing and restart the drying cycle
CODE: F55
PROBLEM: Code F55 signals that the laundry isn’t dry even after the maximum drying time of 180 minutes.
FIX:
Cause: Overloaded dryer drum
Solution: Remove some clothing and dry the smaller load again. Refer to your Miele user manual to follow maximum load guidelines for each dryer setting
Cause: Laundry was too damp at start of drying cycle
Solution: Use a higher spin speed in your wash cycle so clothes are less damp when entering the dryer
CODE: F50
PROBLEM: This is one of those Miele dryer error codes that appear only when you open the dryer door. This typically indicates a computer glitch or failure.
FIX: Error Code F50 can be resolved by turning the dryer off, waiting a few seconds, and turning it back on again.

Miele Dryer common faults
I do really love this dryer. We bought the Miele : W3033 24 Front Load Washer as well. The fact you can put it anywhere in the house is remarkable. We did hook it up to the washer drain, because the water reservoir fills up quickly. After that no problems. We have been using it for almost a year now and we really love it. It is not a BIG dryer. If you plan on doing a weeks worth of laundry at once you will not love this unit. I like to do mine a little each day to keep it manageable and this is perfect. It is right in our bathroom, so we take all the clothes from the day (or two) and put them right in that washer. It would be awesome for apartment dwellers or if you don't have a lot of room. The price tag is heavy but I feel like in this case you get what you pay for. I would buy them again for sure.
Condenser dryers take longer than vented to dry and spit out warm air. Do your homework before dropping $1500 on a dryer then complaining. I've had mine for a year and it's super. Dries clothes to the correct temp and doesn't burn anything. Only maintenance is running the coils under water twice a year. Plus it's great in the winter as it puts out warm air.
I recently moved to a new house where venting the dryer is not possible. I explored a number of options including using something called a lint trap, but decided on a condensing dryer. Once this decision was made, the next decision was which dryer to purchase. I looked at the reviews of the popular condensing dryers on the market, and found that the Miele was the only one which received consistently great reviews. I purchased the Miele washer and dryer with the stacking option. The cost for both units together with the installation fees came to a little more than $4,400. I washed and dried six loads the first day I received the units. The washer is super quiet and smooth. The same is true with the dryer. The spin cycle on the washer is fantastic. The clothes came out of the washer so dry that I didn't think there was much work left for the dryer. It took more than an hour for the dryer to finish processing one load of wash. The sensor inside the dryer did a great job of making sure the wash was dry. The room where the washer/dryer is located remained cool, there was little or no lint, and the reservoir for the excess water was dry. The cost of the washer and dryer is very high, but both units are fantastic.
I too have one of these - had it for more than a year ...worst drier I’ve ever had. Bought it as wanted it plumbed to drain water out our home. This week after ‘drying’ 4 towels for more than 8 hours, they were still wet. I came online to see if If I was going f something wrong and ... saw the above ‘ditto’ review. Mark... did you find out anything useful?
It made my clothes really really dry! I couldn't be happier. If you think you would like dry clothes this is something you should really consider.
