Screws missing for securing automatic detergent dispensing unit 
Cause:

Remedy: 
The plastic bag with the screws for securing the dispenser unit is located in a corner of the dispenser unit packaging filler, see Figure. 
It is relatively easy for them to go unnoticed. 
If the bag is not there or the packaging has already been disposed of by mistake, contact Miele Service department for replacement. 

The washing machine leaks around the door 
Cause: 
Damaged door seal. 
Remedy: 
Contact Miele Service. 

The washing machine makes a grinding noise when the drum rotates 
Cause:

Remedy: 
Contact Miele Service. 

Washing machine does not work and no indicators operative. 
Cause 1: 
The appliance is not plugged in. 
Remedy 1: 
Check that the appliance is plugged in and the fuse has not tripped. 
Cause 2: 
The door is not closed. 
Remedy 2: 
Push the door firmly shut. 
Cause 3: 
The 'On/Off' switch has not been switched on. 
Remedy 3: 
Press the 'On/Off' switch. 

The TwinDos function cannot be used 
Cause: 
The necessary settings for the detergent have not been made during first-time use. 
Remedy: 
Please proceed as follows: 
Switch on the appliance and wait until the standard display lights up. 
Then touch both arrow buttons at the same time until the setting menu opens. 
Select menu item 'Dosing unit' with the arrow buttons and confirm the selection with 'OK'. 
Next, select 'Detergent type/Quantity' and confirm the selection with 'OK'. 
Now, 'Drawer 1' will appear in the display. Please confirm the selection with 'OK' and then select the detergent you added from the list of detergent types and again confirm with 'OK'. 
Now, the dosing quantity must still be individually set. Please set the dosing quantity according to the details listed on the detergent package and use the details recommended for normally dirty washing. Use the arrow buttons to select the setting and confirm the selection with 'OK'. 

A reminder to remove the transport/Transit bars appears in the display although they have already been removed. 
Cause: 
Initial commissioning not performed or electronic controls were reset (after a power cut or after it has been switched off at the socket or been unplugged) 
Remedy: 
Run the appliance on a Cottons 60ºC wash cycle. (You can wash suitable laundry in this wash cycle) 
The warning should disappear once it has run continuously for at least one hour. 
If the message keeps appearing please contact Miele Service.
